- 2:00Speaker 2: Yeah, every rare. You couldn't tell by the looks on
- 2:02Speaker 2: their faces though, thank you.
- 2:04Speaker 5: Thanks.
- 2:05Speaker 2: They looks Brian ready to go.
- 2:06Speaker 4: I look ready for sure. I'm not really, I'm not
- 2:08Speaker 4: really a morning person.
- 2:09Speaker 5: Really. I thought y'all were. That's why we did this
- 2:12Speaker 5: so early. I was like, why do they do this?
- 2:14Speaker 1: They need business now, because you know, a part of
- 2:18Speaker 1: it was I heard that you guys show up late,
- 2:19Speaker 1: and I'm like, they've never shown up late for anything
- 2:21Speaker 1: we've done, let's just put them to the test.
- 2:23Speaker 2: And y'all came here right on time.
- 2:24Speaker 6: Nobody's told you that. What I know that we are
- 2:28Speaker 6: very punctual.
- 2:29Speaker 2: You are, obviously you are. You do a little bit slight. Well,
- 2:35Speaker 2: we debunked the rumor on Tom.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Drea and Lex from Poor Minds.
- 2:41Speaker 4: But now they have a new show called Travel Queens
- 2:44Speaker 4: on BT Plus.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Correct it's ontr bt hert.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Her Okay, so we're going to talk about you know,
- 2:53Speaker 4: all you guys have done as far as in the
- 2:56Speaker 4: podcast space and touring and now with the new deal
- 2:59Speaker 4: and everything that you got going on. Congratulations building a
- 3:02Speaker 4: community fan base. So yeah, first and foremost, congratulations, thank you.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Congratulations is in order. That's a fact.
- 3:09Speaker 1: When when we first heard the news of it, the
- 3:11Speaker 1: first thing, I was just like, I got to congratulate yet,
- 3:12Speaker 1: both because we've watched this, I mean, we've been around
- 3:15Speaker 1: each other for a while and we've watched the growth
- 3:17Speaker 1: from the apartment floor to a little room with the
- 3:20Speaker 1: black wall, to the studio to now y'all got to
- 3:23Speaker 1: show on BT It's incredible. So congratulations is definitely in order.
- 3:26Speaker 5: Forgot you did hit us in the group check that's
- 3:28Speaker 5: a fact, Yes you did.
- 3:30Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's kind of like it's surreal, you
- 3:33Speaker 6: know what I'm saying, Like you said, coming from the
- 3:35Speaker 6: apartment and stuff, And I always knew we had a
- 3:38Speaker 6: vision of what we wanted to do, but honestly, to
- 3:41Speaker 6: have the opportunity to do a show that has like
- 3:43Speaker 6: kind of honestly nothing to do with poor minds.
- 3:45Speaker 5: You know, every time we.
- 3:46Speaker 6: See podcasters get a show, which is still a hard
- 3:49Speaker 6: feat to do, it's always like a branch off of
- 3:51Speaker 6: the podcast that they have. So the fact that they
- 3:54Speaker 6: trusted us with such a huge project that has absolutely
- 3:56Speaker 6: nothing to do with potty is like crazy.
- 4:00Speaker 4: So talk about all right, So for the audience that
- 4:02Speaker 4: may not be totally familiar, let's go through the journey.
- 4:06Speaker 4: So you guys are friends from Texas, and then you
- 4:11Speaker 4: started a show, right, poor Minds.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Then you got with the eighty five South crew and
- 4:17Speaker 3: that kind of.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Just expanded the reach right right, and you guys talk
- 4:20Speaker 4: about all kinds of different topics that are relevant to women. Yeah, right,
- 4:25Speaker 4: And you've built a tremendous fan base and you've reached
- 4:29Speaker 4: a point where you start to take on things outside
- 4:34Speaker 4: of the normal with people might normally think.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Of you off. So how does a travel show for
- 4:39Speaker 3: BT come into place?
- 4:40Speaker 7: Okay, So basically one of our friends, she actually does
- 4:45Speaker 7: a lot of contract work with BT, and the production company,
- 4:49Speaker 7: Cocoa Butter, had been reaching out to us telling us
- 4:52Speaker 7: that they wanted us to They wanted to consider us
- 4:55Speaker 7: for a travel show. So it was like us and
- 4:57Speaker 7: maybe like two other busy bring groups that we're considering.
- 5:00Speaker 5: So we had the audition for it.
- 5:02Speaker 7: We did the audition maybe a week later or two
- 5:06Speaker 7: weeks later, we found out that we got it, and
- 5:08Speaker 7: then we ended up starting I think we started recording
- 5:11Speaker 7: with a month after that, and we recorded the whole
- 5:13Speaker 7: show in two weeks. So the production company reached out
- 5:16Speaker 7: to us and then we started getting in communication with
- 5:18Speaker 7: them and BT.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, how does that feel to do something that's
- 5:22Speaker 1: so you know, ess interesting, Like people watch you on
- 5:25Speaker 1: your show, right and they think that's all you are? Right,
- 5:27Speaker 1: But y'all been friends for a long time, y'all been
- 5:29Speaker 1: traveling for a long time. How does it feel to
- 5:32Speaker 1: show people another side of what who Drea and Lex
- 5:35Speaker 1: really are.
- 5:36Speaker 6: It's really cool because, like she said, it was kind
- 5:39Speaker 6: of like they auditioned other people, but they were like,
- 5:42Speaker 6: we really wanted y'all, Like we see the chemistry that
- 5:45Speaker 6: y'all have on Poor Minds, and I think with we have,
- 5:48Speaker 6: I like to call Poor Minds like a lifestyle podcast
- 5:51Speaker 6: because we talk about so much. And but I mean,
- 5:54Speaker 6: y'all know how it is when you're in the podcasting world.
- 5:56Speaker 6: People tend to look at you like a one trick pony,
- 5:59Speaker 6: Like Okay, they're good at the gender wars stuff and
- 6:02Speaker 6: they can talk about sex or they can talk about music,
- 6:05Speaker 6: but that's all they can do. So, like I said,
- 6:08Speaker 6: the fact that they were like, oh, they be outside,
- 6:11Speaker 6: Like we travel for real, for real, Like we've been
- 6:13Speaker 6: so many places together, Like we went to London last
- 6:16Speaker 6: year and we were working out there. We went out
- 6:18Speaker 6: there for like a week and a half, and I
- 6:20Speaker 6: mean we've been to Turks together. We've been to Jamaica
- 6:22Speaker 6: like Viza a Iza, Like we really be traveling together.
- 6:26Speaker 6: So it's like it was cool to know that they
- 6:28Speaker 6: really kind of did their research on us because they're like, Okay,
- 6:31Speaker 6: they're perfect. They're best friends and they travel and I
- 6:33Speaker 6: think me and Dre are so like layered.
- 6:38Speaker 5: There's so much to us.
- 6:39Speaker 2: It really we really really like that.
- 6:42Speaker 6: I think that a lot of times they see us
- 6:43Speaker 6: and they just think, oh, that's all they can do.
- 6:45Speaker 6: So the fact that you can literally because obviously my
- 6:48Speaker 6: nephews can't watch four months, that they can watch Travel Queens. Yeah,
- 6:53Speaker 6: So I love the fact that, like my nephews can
- 6:55Speaker 6: watch me now you know what I'm saying, Younger girls
- 6:58Speaker 6: like high school can watch Travel Queens and they can
- 7:01Speaker 6: be motivated and you know, see the possibilities of what
- 7:05Speaker 6: you can do in this space. Yeah, and I think
- 7:07Speaker 6: it just gives more insights to our real life friendship too,
- 7:11Speaker 6: because the cameras are there, but we're really just being
- 7:14Speaker 6: ourselves versus one poor minds. I mean, we're being ourselves
- 7:17Speaker 6: on there as well, but these are topics that we've
- 7:20Speaker 6: already planned to talk about. It's just more structured, I
- 7:23Speaker 6: feel like, versus a reality TV show. It's like, no,
- 7:25Speaker 6: we just being ourselves and the cameras are following this around.
- 7:28Speaker 4: So how many how many cities are you going to?
- 7:31Speaker 4: Like is it like a ten episode thing?
- 7:33Speaker 2: Like?
- 7:33Speaker 3: How has that worked out?
- 7:35Speaker 7: So this first season actually was four episodes. So we
- 7:38Speaker 7: went to Cardaina, we went to Mexico City, Charleston, and
- 7:43Speaker 7: then we went to KEYWZ. And so hopefully fingers crossed
- 7:47Speaker 7: we get a second season. It's probably gonna be like
- 7:49Speaker 7: ten twelve episodes.
- 7:50Speaker 6: Yeah, so it's you know, how the pilots like, let's
- 7:54Speaker 6: see if y'all really got a fan base. But I
- 7:57Speaker 6: think it's doing pretty well, Like we haven't engaging with
- 8:02Speaker 6: our audience and stuff, and the feedback has been amazing. Like,
- 8:05Speaker 6: I was really nervous because I didn't know how they
- 8:07Speaker 6: were gonna edit it, because honestly, we are watching it
- 8:10Speaker 6: on Wednesdays with them, like we haven't seen like when
- 8:13Speaker 6: we were on the flight out here, we were on
- 8:15Speaker 6: the plane watching it.
- 8:16Speaker 5: So I didn't know how they were going to edit it.
- 8:18Speaker 6: Because a lot of times you see a show and
- 8:20Speaker 6: you don't like somebody and then they do the reunion
- 8:22Speaker 6: or something, they're like, they didn't show this, they didn't
- 8:24Speaker 6: show that, But they edited so well, like and really
- 8:28Speaker 6: captured our personality.
- 8:29Speaker 1: So how evolved in the process for you guys in
- 8:32Speaker 1: terms of naming the show, picking the locations, because even
- 8:36Speaker 1: I've been pronouncing Carteragina the wrong way the entire time,
- 8:40Speaker 1: I'm hearing you pronounce it.
- 8:41Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, that's how it's pronounced.
- 8:43Speaker 1: So so did they have those cities picked out for
- 8:45Speaker 1: you already or did you guys have.
- 8:47Speaker 3: A sparta haina?
- 8:48Speaker 2: Right?
- 8:49Speaker 4: I was on the show saying it Carna Gina is
- 8:51Speaker 4: Fat Joe's lesson, Yo, car Haina.
- 8:55Speaker 2: I grow up?
- 8:56Speaker 1: You listen to Fat Joe. We called it Gina, callagena
- 8:58Speaker 1: don Carnagina.
- 8:59Speaker 2: And I'm like, yeah, yeah, and I'm here. You am like, y'all,
- 9:02Speaker 2: I've been saying it wrong the whole time.
- 9:04Speaker 5: I'm country, I'll be saying everything wrong. So I was there.
- 9:06Speaker 6: It was like people in the comments like, dang, y'all
- 9:08Speaker 6: could have taught her how to say the word before
- 9:09Speaker 6: we went out there, right, I.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Was like, y'all, okay, that makes it authentic.
- 9:14Speaker 7: Yeah, but yeah, we really weren't involved in the process
- 9:17Speaker 7: too much. They already had the cee these picked out
- 9:19Speaker 7: and they were just like, Okay, this is where y'all going. Yeah,
- 9:22Speaker 7: it was helping for like I said, the second season
- 9:25Speaker 7: and upcoming seasons, that we could be more involved in
- 9:27Speaker 7: the process because we actually want to do like you know,
- 9:30Speaker 7: travel Queens Africa, travel Queens Europe, actually be in different
- 9:34Speaker 7: locations each season.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I think what's dope about is that each city
- 9:38Speaker 1: and there's a travel component to it, but there's an
- 9:41Speaker 1: educational component, right, And I was watching the Charleston episode
- 9:46Speaker 1: and it felt like we're learning with the audience, but
- 9:48Speaker 1: you y'all learned too, So how was that?
- 9:51Speaker 2: Right?
- 9:51Speaker 1: Were you super intentional about that? Did the producers say, like,
- 9:54Speaker 1: we have this piece, what do you guys think? Like,
- 9:56Speaker 1: how was that for y'all?
- 9:57Speaker 6: Well, these places we've never been, and before the only
- 10:00Speaker 6: place that I had been was Key West, so a
- 10:04Speaker 6: lot of the stuff.
- 10:04Speaker 5: They were like, Okay, well, how do y'all feel about this? Well,
- 10:06Speaker 5: this is what.
- 10:07Speaker 6: We're doing, And we were really curious, like we had
- 10:10Speaker 6: never been to Charleston.
- 10:11Speaker 5: I didn't know Charleston was like that at all.
- 10:13Speaker 6: Yeah, So honestly, they were like, okay, y'all are going
- 10:16Speaker 6: to go to the plantation and all the questions that
- 10:18Speaker 6: we were asking, like those were questions that we really had.
- 10:22Speaker 6: So it was kind of like a mixture of both.
- 10:23Speaker 6: They would just like throw us in this situation and
- 10:25Speaker 6: they were like, Okay, the cameras are rolling, do y'all thing,
- 10:28Speaker 6: So they kind of really let us have the creative freedom.
- 10:30Speaker 6: When it came to asking questions conversations me and her
- 10:34Speaker 6: were having with each other, that was really all us.
- 10:37Speaker 6: But as far as like the locations and stuff we
- 10:40Speaker 6: were doing, it was they picked all the stuff because
- 10:44Speaker 6: we probably would have had them in the strip club.
- 10:46Speaker 2: But I was excited, but I.
- 10:49Speaker 7: Wasn't excited because, like she said, she had been to
- 10:51Speaker 7: Key West before. I had never even been to Key West.
- 10:53Speaker 7: I hadn't been to any of those places before. I
- 10:55Speaker 7: had been to Columbia, but I went to Medam before
- 10:58Speaker 7: night Cardaina.
- 10:59Speaker 3: So so okay, So how does this work?
- 11:03Speaker 4: As far as like the business side, Like, was there
- 11:05Speaker 4: certain points that you had to negotiate and dealing with
- 11:08Speaker 4: like a major television network, Like it's a lot different
- 11:11Speaker 4: than having like an independent type of vibe on a podcast.
- 11:14Speaker 6: Yeah, this was our first time doing anything with like
- 11:17Speaker 6: a major network like this, especially like BT.
- 11:20Speaker 5: So yeah, it was it was things that we had
- 11:22Speaker 5: to work out.
- 11:23Speaker 6: But honestly, we are so not like it's a blessing
- 11:27Speaker 6: that we're in the position that we make a lot
- 11:29Speaker 6: of money with poor minds, so we're able to go
- 11:31Speaker 6: in these situations and like be fair we're not like,
- 11:33Speaker 6: oh yeah, we're finna run it up, and because we
- 11:36Speaker 6: understand it's the first season and it's more so about
- 11:38Speaker 6: like the exposure where we can do. I mean, we
- 11:40Speaker 6: got paid you know well, of course, but we had
- 11:43Speaker 6: our lawyers come in. It worked out amazing, So I
- 11:47Speaker 6: think that that's more important in this space. It's like
- 11:50Speaker 6: making good connections, being easy to work with because they
- 11:53Speaker 6: could have picked anybody from the Travel channel that's been
- 11:55Speaker 6: doing stuff like this, so working out those deal points.
- 11:59Speaker 6: I mean, obviously were signed to eighty five, so Chad
- 12:03Speaker 6: and the team, Carlos and all them, they've done TV
- 12:06Speaker 6: and stuff before, so they had a great lawyer. So
- 12:08Speaker 6: it was a really smooth transition because everything happened so quick.
- 12:12Speaker 6: So it was like we kind of got the contract,
- 12:14Speaker 6: they were like, okay, let's fix this and fix that,
- 12:16Speaker 6: and they were really easy with giving us, you know,
- 12:18Speaker 6: everything that we wanted. So it was actually a really
- 12:20Speaker 6: really smooth transition. Shout out to our lawyer, Josh.
- 12:23Speaker 3: She didn't.
- 12:25Speaker 4: So how do you, you said, how do podcasters make money?
- 12:28Speaker 4: Like you guys have a successful podcast? How did they
- 12:31Speaker 4: always wandered that I never really knew how.
- 12:33Speaker 5: You know.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Them podcast, make us new comings, this is this is so,
- 12:45Speaker 3: you know, we gotta.
- 12:45Speaker 5: Let the people know.
- 12:47Speaker 7: So, I mean, we make money a few different ways.
- 12:49Speaker 7: We make money obviously from ad revenue. We make money
- 12:52Speaker 7: from streams on YouTube. We also have a Patreon. We
- 12:56Speaker 7: make money with Patreon. We used to sell merch, but
- 12:58Speaker 7: we don't really sell merch as much anymore. But they
- 13:00Speaker 7: used to be a stream of income that we had.
- 13:02Speaker 3: And I'm trying to think of my live shows.
- 13:04Speaker 5: Live shows, but we haven't toured in like two years.
- 13:07Speaker 6: Yeah, like hosting events, stuff like do you have products?
- 13:11Speaker 7: I have a cosmetics business, but we don't have anything
- 13:13Speaker 7: with Poor Minds together currently.
- 13:15Speaker 5: But we used to sell hoodies and rap team.
- 13:17Speaker 6: We have like the little wine stoppers and stuff like that,
- 13:20Speaker 6: Like we really like ramp up, like the merch stuff
- 13:23Speaker 6: whenever we were touring.
- 13:24Speaker 5: Things like that.
- 13:25Speaker 6: But like she said, those like our main sources of income.
- 13:30Speaker 6: And we did an e book as well, yeah, cause,
- 13:32Speaker 6: I mean we get so many questions of like, oh,
- 13:34Speaker 6: how do I start a podcast?
- 13:36Speaker 5: What do I need?
- 13:36Speaker 6: But it wasn't just like the typical even like okay,
- 13:39Speaker 6: get a camera. It was like I was legit giving
- 13:42Speaker 6: actual websites that we used. Okay, I want to make
- 13:44Speaker 6: some ad revenue. You can sign your podcast up with
- 13:47Speaker 6: this audio this source. So I did the course too,
- 13:51Speaker 6: so you can actually get the bundle. Like if you're
- 13:53Speaker 6: somebody who's more of a visual learner, you could watch
- 13:55Speaker 6: the e course or if you know somebody that need
- 13:58Speaker 6: to look at a book, we have the Yeah, and
- 14:01Speaker 6: then we stepped, like I said, we stepped into the
- 14:02Speaker 6: hosting space. We did you know, we did the festival.
- 14:10Speaker 5: Festival, we did.
- 14:13Speaker 6: Yeah BT Awards, ET Awards. Yeah, we did the Media
- 14:17Speaker 6: House last year. So I think, like I said, when
- 14:20Speaker 6: you're getting into podcasting the actual show, you can make
- 14:23Speaker 6: a lot of revenue from. But the outside things that
- 14:25Speaker 6: you do outside of just sitting on the couch and
- 14:28Speaker 6: being in front of the mic is like.
- 14:29Speaker 3: So it's using your influence to get money from absolutely.
- 14:33Speaker 6: I mean even now we get money from Facebook, tiktik.
- 14:37Speaker 5: It's like a lot of stuff. That's what I was
- 14:38Speaker 5: forgetting social media places.
- 14:40Speaker 1: There's a ticket throwing on the streams, y'all just name
- 14:42Speaker 1: that's about we're about eleven. Yeah, it's multiple streams is
- 14:46Speaker 1: important in the as space.
- 14:47Speaker 2: I know, like when people are starting the podcast.
- 14:49Speaker 1: That's very important, right, It's probably one of the first
- 14:51Speaker 1: sources of income you're going to have based on your topic.
- 14:55Speaker 1: You guys ever feel limited, right, because there's only sometimes
- 14:57Speaker 1: there's only a certain level or a certain category of
- 15:02Speaker 1: ad client that's looking to put things on your show, right,
- 15:05Speaker 1: Whereas if you have more of a broad based topic,
- 15:09Speaker 1: it leaves it open for a lot more categories. Have
- 15:11Speaker 1: you guys ever felt that way when it comes to
- 15:13Speaker 1: the ad spends?
- 15:14Speaker 5: You know what?
- 15:14Speaker 7: No, not really, to be honest, like, I feel like
- 15:17Speaker 7: a lot of different companies want to work with us, Like,
- 15:20Speaker 7: we never really had that issue, but we do know
- 15:22Speaker 7: some people in the podcast in space that have told
- 15:25Speaker 7: us that they've had that issue because they may have
- 15:27Speaker 7: like a six base podcast, But we've never really had that.
- 15:30Speaker 5: I Mean sometimes we get ask I'm like, they want
- 15:33Speaker 5: to work with us, you'll be the most random so
- 15:36Speaker 5: like man, yeah.
- 15:37Speaker 6: Like manscaping like all that stuff, Like it'll be like
- 15:40Speaker 6: but it works, Like if they renew the contract, I'm like, oh,
- 15:43Speaker 6: y'all must be clicking blue Choo And I'm like, do
- 15:47Speaker 6: men really watch the show?
- 15:48Speaker 5: Women are buying it for their men?
- 15:49Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 15:50Speaker 4: I don't think y'all will be limited because you're not,
- 15:51Speaker 4: like you said, you're not a sex based podcast.
- 15:53Speaker 6: Like we have a segment, but it's not the whole
- 15:57Speaker 6: entire show, you know.
- 15:57Speaker 7: I think people think that sometimes just because of the
- 16:00Speaker 7: clips that are cut from the show be like the
- 16:03Speaker 7: six topic. So then before people actually come and watch
- 16:06Speaker 7: the show, I think they assume that it's a six man.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Yeah, or it's a female based show.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Men might not be big watching, but that could actually
- 16:12Speaker 1: be the opposite, right, And I.
- 16:13Speaker 6: Think it's really crazy with these ad companies as well, because,
- 16:16Speaker 6: like you said, you just never know what we're gonna
- 16:17Speaker 6: get and what people want to work with us, because honestly,
- 16:20Speaker 6: being that we're so heavily with the women crowd, we
- 16:23Speaker 6: don't get a lot of beauty ads, like a lot
- 16:27Speaker 6: like makeup stuff, like hair stuff. We really don't get
- 16:30Speaker 6: a lot of stuff like that. We had one fashion
- 16:32Speaker 6: company where like you could you know, have like a
- 16:34Speaker 6: subscription service.
- 16:35Speaker 5: To get closed like one time. But most of the
- 16:37Speaker 5: stuff is really like food.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Food stuff, mental health.
- 16:42Speaker 5: Mental health stuff stuff like that, you know what I mean.
- 16:45Speaker 4: So, how have you guys been able to build your
- 16:47Speaker 4: community because you got like a loyal fan base, supporters,
- 16:52Speaker 4: you have a name for them, right, Oh you are
- 16:56Speaker 4: so how how cause a lot of people create content,
- 16:58Speaker 4: but then everybody doesn't have like a community. Yeah, So like,
- 17:01Speaker 4: what's some of the ways that you've actually been able
- 17:03Speaker 4: to cultivate and keep that community together.
- 17:06Speaker 7: I feel like one of the major ways, and we
- 17:08Speaker 7: always say these, one of the major ways that we've
- 17:10Speaker 7: been able to build such a large community is that
- 17:13Speaker 7: for the first few years that we started doing pour Minds,
- 17:16Speaker 7: we never had guests on the show because we always
- 17:19Speaker 7: wanted to make sure we were building a fan base
- 17:21Speaker 7: of people who wanted to see us every week. I
- 17:23Speaker 7: feel like a lot of the time, when people start
- 17:26Speaker 7: off having huge guests on their show weekly, when you
- 17:28Speaker 7: don't the week that you don't have a guest, the
- 17:30Speaker 7: viewership falls off. So we wanted to make sure we
- 17:33Speaker 7: were cultivating a space in a community of people that
- 17:35Speaker 7: no matter who we had on the show, they're still
- 17:37Speaker 7: gonna watch.
- 17:37Speaker 5: So I feel like that was a major key.
- 17:40Speaker 6: And another major one is we talk to our listeners.
- 17:44Speaker 6: Like everybody acts like they're too good to take twenty
- 17:47Speaker 6: thirty minutes and just respond to common you know, talk
- 17:50Speaker 6: back to people like I still do that. I engage
- 17:53Speaker 6: with my listeners because I just started a new channel
- 17:56Speaker 6: YouTube channel called love lex Peak, so I do like
- 17:58Speaker 6: hot topics on there, and I'm like, y'all have shag
- 18:00Speaker 6: lovelexp so we can talk about it together.
- 18:02Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying.
- 18:03Speaker 6: I think the engagement of feeling like, you know what,
- 18:05Speaker 6: Lex Anddrea cool. I can talk to them. If I
- 18:07Speaker 6: tweet four minds, they gonna tweet me back. So I
- 18:10Speaker 6: think it's like not feeling like you are a celebrity,
- 18:14Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying, and really engaging with your
- 18:16Speaker 6: audience helps a lot.
- 18:17Speaker 5: We do that with Travel Queens too.
- 18:19Speaker 7: We live tweet every week yeah Twitter, And when Trable
- 18:21Speaker 7: Queens is.
- 18:22Speaker 1: On, I was wondering, right that community that you built
- 18:26Speaker 1: it obviously helps when Travel Queens is about the debut
- 18:29Speaker 1: and people are supporting it. But when you guys had
- 18:32Speaker 1: the debut for it, there was just like an overwhelming
- 18:35Speaker 1: sense of emotion that I watched for y'all, I was like,
- 18:38Speaker 1: this is interesting. Talk about what that felt like in
- 18:40Speaker 1: that moment to watch yourself on a big screen in
- 18:43Speaker 1: your fancy your family there with you.
- 18:46Speaker 6: That was the first time we watched the episode, and
- 18:48Speaker 6: I think like in that moment, it really just kind
- 18:51Speaker 6: of like hit me, and I'm like, looking at it,
- 18:53Speaker 6: I'm like, we really did that, because even while we
- 18:56Speaker 6: were filming, it was like we were working and it did.
- 18:59Speaker 6: I think in that moment it hit us because honestly,
- 19:01Speaker 6: getting the party to the premiere party together, getting ready
- 19:04Speaker 6: for everything, finding outfits and just hair, makeup, all this stuff,
- 19:08Speaker 6: we didn't really get to sit. So in that moment,
- 19:10Speaker 6: I was like, oh my gosh, like we really have
- 19:14Speaker 6: a TV show.
- 19:14Speaker 2: You was boo. Yeah, she was holding together.
- 19:17Speaker 5: I was trying.
- 19:19Speaker 7: But honestly, I feel like it hit me at that
- 19:21Speaker 7: moment as well, because when we were filming the show,
- 19:24Speaker 7: I definitely felt like, oh my god, we're about to
- 19:26Speaker 7: have a TV show. But that day, all of our
- 19:29Speaker 7: friends being prison, all of our family being present, seeing
- 19:32Speaker 7: it on the big screen at the Venu, I was
- 19:34Speaker 7: just like wow, because.
- 19:35Speaker 5: We didn't know how it was gonna look. I didn't
- 19:36Speaker 5: know it was gonna look.
- 19:37Speaker 6: Like a little tobleg. We didn't know what it was
- 19:40Speaker 6: gonna look like. And I'm like, oh, they got us
- 19:42Speaker 6: looking real.
- 19:44Speaker 5: Now, you know what I'm saying. I was looking like, yeah.
- 19:51Speaker 1: You so they said, like the food spots were done
- 19:55Speaker 1: really tastes really yeah, And I think I like the
- 19:58Speaker 1: balance between like, yes, you can go to a five
- 20:00Speaker 1: star restaurant, but it's the local spots sometimes that you
- 20:04Speaker 1: got to check when you travel. So there's a fine
- 20:06Speaker 1: balance between the luxury span in the everyday spend yep.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Do you guys are like, as you're going through it
- 20:14Speaker 1: and you're filming a show, are you realizing how this
- 20:17Speaker 1: is going to impact travel for girls that look like y'all?
- 20:20Speaker 6: Honestly that And while we were doing it, I was
- 20:22Speaker 6: like yeah, because I was realizing, I'm like, why we
- 20:25Speaker 6: ain't never here? Like when we went to Mexico City,
- 20:27Speaker 6: I'm like, girl, why we ain't never came?
- 20:28Speaker 3: And here far?
- 20:29Speaker 5: It's like a two hour flight from Atlanta.
- 20:31Speaker 6: Right, And then it's like there's such a large xpact
- 20:34Speaker 6: community of black people out there. So I'm like, I
- 20:37Speaker 6: know that we didn't know this, So I know the
- 20:40Speaker 6: people watching the show didn't know this. I mean people
- 20:41Speaker 6: have already been tweeting us like, oh my gosh, I
- 20:44Speaker 6: want to go to Mexico City. I want to go
- 20:45Speaker 6: to Charleston. You know what I'm saying, so definitely one
- 20:48Speaker 6: hundred percent, because I feel like we don't travel enough.
- 20:51Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying, We don't get out of
- 20:53Speaker 6: our comfort zone because a lot of times, especially as
- 20:56Speaker 6: women Black women, we're afraid because we don't know what's
- 20:59Speaker 6: safe for us and what it's not. So I think
- 21:01Speaker 6: showing people the different side of these cities and like
- 21:04Speaker 6: you can go and have a good time. Where do
- 21:06Speaker 6: you want to do a vacation or a girl trip?
- 21:08Speaker 6: Like you got to make it out the group chat
- 21:10Speaker 6: and it's affordable. Like a lot of the stuff that
- 21:12Speaker 6: we did. It wasn't like you spending three bands a
- 21:15Speaker 6: night and stuff. It was just like you know, going
- 21:17Speaker 6: to an R and B night in Mexico City. You
- 21:19Speaker 6: know what I'm saying, Like all black RMB R and
- 21:21Speaker 6: B night, Like you can do that in your city,
- 21:24Speaker 6: but why not go do it in Mexico City.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Yeah, So, like all right, black women are make up
- 21:29Speaker 4: a lot of travelers. There's a whole there's groups that's
- 21:34Speaker 4: dedicated for travel for Black women, travel Noir, all that
- 21:37Speaker 4: type stuff.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Dubai.
- 21:39Speaker 4: I know they put a major emphasis in targeting black women.
- 21:42Speaker 4: So I'm assuming this is all related to like why
- 21:46Speaker 4: BT wanted to have you guys, because there's a lot
- 21:49Speaker 4: of black women that already travel, right, So, Okay, do
- 21:53Speaker 4: you feel that this highlights with is a already being
- 22:00Speaker 4: done as far as black women traveling, or do you
- 22:03Speaker 4: feel like this could potentially open people's ideas of who
- 22:08Speaker 4: travelers are because sometimes even though black women travel a lot,
- 22:11Speaker 4: they may not be looked at as like a typical tourist. Right, So, like,
- 22:15Speaker 4: do you have that level of thought process when you're
- 22:17Speaker 4: traveling to these different countries that you're actually like representing
- 22:21Speaker 4: a whole group of people.
- 22:23Speaker 7: I'll go ahead, and now I was just gonna say
- 22:25Speaker 7: for sure, I definitely think it's gonna open people's eyes
- 22:28Speaker 7: to the fact that black women are traveling a lot.
- 22:30Speaker 7: And then, like you said, it can be budget friendly
- 22:33Speaker 7: because I think sometimes, especially people looking at it, it's
- 22:37Speaker 7: probably y'all too. When y'all travel, like they're assuming, oh, hey,
- 22:40Speaker 7: they make money. It's probably gonna be really expensive the
- 22:42Speaker 7: things that they're gonna be doing on vacation. But we
- 22:44Speaker 7: were showing it could be a good balance, like yeah, Okay,
- 22:46Speaker 7: we gonna do the luxury stuff, we gonna have a
- 22:48Speaker 7: little fund speed a little money, but we can also
- 22:50Speaker 7: go to these five star Michelin tacos.
- 22:52Speaker 5: Then that's three dollars.
- 22:54Speaker 6: And then another aspect of the show is it's you know,
- 22:58Speaker 6: she's doing like the leisure stuff I'm doing, like the
- 23:00Speaker 6: adventurous stuff. So whatever type of travel you are, even
- 23:04Speaker 6: if you want to see the educational stuff that's been
- 23:06Speaker 6: there too, it's something for everybody. But I do think
- 23:09Speaker 6: that it is like you said, it's a lot of
- 23:12Speaker 6: black women who travel, but it's a lot who don't
- 23:15Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying, But it's an audience that
- 23:17Speaker 6: has not been served. There's no travel show out there
- 23:21Speaker 6: for black women, Taylor, and I won't even just say
- 23:24Speaker 6: black women, I'll just say black people in general. Like
- 23:26Speaker 6: this is tailored for the black traveler.
- 23:29Speaker 5: So I don't know. I think it has a different element,
- 23:32Speaker 5: but like like we were.
- 23:33Speaker 6: Talking about earlier, it kind of has that like simp
- 23:35Speaker 6: y'all remember the show The Simple Life when there, So
- 23:39Speaker 6: it kind of has that element of still being like
- 23:41Speaker 6: fun and silly. So you get the entertainment aspect of us,
- 23:44Speaker 6: but you can really watch it and get your itinerary,
- 23:47Speaker 6: like if you watch the Mexico City episode. You have
- 23:49Speaker 6: your whole itinerary for a weekend in Mexico City, for sure.
- 23:52Speaker 6: And I love that about the show too, because I
- 23:54Speaker 6: think it also portrays black women in such a good light.
- 23:58Speaker 6: Like these days, you have so many of the reality
- 24:00Speaker 6: shows that are out now where the women are fighting.
- 24:02Speaker 6: It's a lot of drama, it's a lot of miss
- 24:04Speaker 6: Our show is very lighthearted, it's fun, and it's showing
- 24:08Speaker 6: two black women and traveling together, exploring the world, having.
- 24:11Speaker 3: A good song.
- 24:12Speaker 1: There's an overwhelming theme and I'm glad you kind of
- 24:14Speaker 1: mentioned it earlier you were like travel Queens Africa, because
- 24:18Speaker 1: I feel as I watched the episodes, there's just overwhelming
- 24:21Speaker 1: theme about going back to Africa.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Right.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Whether it was like we in polin Ca and I'm like, okay,
- 24:28Speaker 1: you can see the roots there. When you went to
- 24:31Speaker 1: Mexico City, it was like, we're going to the black
- 24:33Speaker 1: there's a very there's an intentionality there, right, So to
- 24:37Speaker 1: talk about that because it's important, right people, Even when
- 24:40Speaker 1: we were talking about rice and that being the currency
- 24:42Speaker 1: that was being traded, most people think it was cotton.
- 24:45Speaker 1: You're learning about it, but it all ties back to Africa, right,
- 24:48Speaker 1: talk about the intentionality of having that in episodes.
- 24:51Speaker 6: I think, like I said, when I started traveling, I
- 24:55Speaker 6: really started traveling kind of like in my early thirties,
- 24:58Speaker 6: like because I have a best friend who travels a lot,
- 25:00Speaker 6: and she's like that type of travel when we go
- 25:02Speaker 6: to these places where the black people at and how
- 25:07Speaker 6: they tailored the show was like, let's go to these
- 25:09Speaker 6: places and find black people. Let's get the stories so
- 25:12Speaker 6: everybody can understand we all came from the same place.
- 25:15Speaker 5: We just got dropped off at different location.
- 25:18Speaker 6: So it's much emphasized on really learning that we are
- 25:23Speaker 6: more similar than we are different, because I think in
- 25:26Speaker 6: this world that we're living in today, everybody's having you know,
- 25:30Speaker 6: oh you from here, I'm from here.
- 25:33Speaker 5: You know, I'm doing bennikin I ain't know black.
- 25:35Speaker 6: It's like everybody want to be separated, but it's like, no,
- 25:38Speaker 6: we are really alike. And I love that about the
- 25:40Speaker 6: show because I'm like, oh my god, y'all like our cousin. Yeah,
- 25:42Speaker 6: that was the amazing thing about going to Pelink because
- 25:45Speaker 6: I was gonna say that. I think a lot of
- 25:46Speaker 6: time in the Afro Latino community, they get this stigma
- 25:50Speaker 6: that they don't want to be attached to being black.
- 25:52Speaker 6: But in Pelink they were very proud to be black,
- 25:54Speaker 6: like they had their pro black t shirts. They were saying, no,
- 25:57Speaker 6: we feel very connected to our African roots.
- 26:00Speaker 5: I think it was a highlight.
- 26:01Speaker 4: It's an educational process, like Gardhina, that's well, like a
- 26:04Speaker 4: lot of black people live in Colombia and people talk
- 26:08Speaker 4: about Brazil a lot, but South America there's more. South
- 26:11Speaker 4: America is the second largest population of black people in
- 26:14Speaker 4: the world as far as continent facts, so there was
- 26:17Speaker 4: more slaves that came to South America than America. Brazil
- 26:21Speaker 4: is the second largest concentration of black people outside Africa
- 26:25Speaker 4: in the world. So there's a lot of black people
- 26:29Speaker 4: in Colombia and that people look at columb because it's
- 26:34Speaker 4: not represented. So when you see beauty pageants and it's
- 26:39Speaker 4: very fair skinned people in Colombia and Brazil and even Mexico.
- 26:43Speaker 4: But then you go to these countries and you realize
- 26:46Speaker 4: that there's a lot of people that look like you similarities,
- 26:51Speaker 4: but the media has not portrayed that. So everybody thinks
- 26:56Speaker 4: that Colombia is only like Pablo Escobar and.
- 27:00Speaker 5: In a hotel.
- 27:01Speaker 6: But when we went down there, like I was so shocked.
- 27:04Speaker 6: Like I said, I always tell this story. I said, Look,
- 27:06Speaker 6: the only time I went to Columbia, when I get
- 27:07Speaker 6: to my BBL, so I was wrapped up in the hospital.
- 27:10Speaker 5: Room, you know what I'm saying, I didn't know what
- 27:11Speaker 5: was going on.
- 27:12Speaker 6: But so this time I went, I was able to
- 27:14Speaker 6: really travel around and see I'm like, oh, they got
- 27:18Speaker 6: you know the microbe right, the really like really are
- 27:22Speaker 6: looking like us?
- 27:23Speaker 2: You too? Why were paying six hundred up here?
- 27:27Speaker 5: Right?
- 27:27Speaker 4: You know what they receive you guys, not just in
- 27:30Speaker 4: Columbia but everywhere, Like how is your reception? Of course
- 27:33Speaker 4: you got a TV cameras on, right, even if they
- 27:35Speaker 4: don't know who you are, they they know they know somebody.
- 27:38Speaker 3: But how is that reception? Because that's the thing too.
- 27:42Speaker 4: Black people sometimes fearful to travel because they think that
- 27:45Speaker 4: it's going to be too much racism or it's going
- 27:47Speaker 4: to be uncomfortable. So how is your experiences traveling to
- 27:50Speaker 4: these different places?
- 27:52Speaker 7: I think that they received us really well, because, like
- 27:55Speaker 7: we were just saying, a lot of the time people
- 27:57Speaker 7: assume that it's not going to be a lot of
- 27:59Speaker 7: black people in these spaces, but it was so many
- 28:02Speaker 7: people and I feel like, obviously, up until we started talking,
- 28:05Speaker 7: you can't really tell that.
- 28:06Speaker 5: We're not from here.
- 28:07Speaker 7: Well, I mean in the camera's suit after the cameras
- 28:10Speaker 7: gave it away. But the reception was really good and
- 28:13Speaker 7: all of the places that we went to.
- 28:14Speaker 6: I always say this to people when you're traveling Black Americans,
- 28:18Speaker 6: but just Americans in general, because everybody knows that kind
- 28:20Speaker 6: of reputation that we have. When you travel and you're
- 28:24Speaker 6: genuinely like curious and you want to learn about the
- 28:28Speaker 6: culture and you are really trying to immerse yourself, they
- 28:32Speaker 6: appreciate that. So the fact that we were there and
- 28:34Speaker 6: we're not like, Okay, do y'all speak English? We don't
- 28:37Speaker 6: understand y'all. We like on our phone were trying to speak.
- 28:41Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying. We were struck and I
- 28:42Speaker 5: knew Salitolino word for word.
- 28:45Speaker 2: They they was.
- 28:46Speaker 6: Shure, yes, but they appreciate just seeing the ef.
- 28:54Speaker 1: You had that downpack that movie. I was like, ah,
- 28:58Speaker 1: she got that everything else what you were trying older.
- 29:00Speaker 1: I said, nah, nah, we need.
- 29:04Speaker 5: They throw it out.
- 29:05Speaker 6: It's my accident a Houston accent speaking Spanish alight.
- 29:09Speaker 1: But then I heard like a little creole like, I'm like, wait,
- 29:12Speaker 1: does she got that too?
- 29:13Speaker 2: Like nah, right, you know there's no this creole in language.
- 29:17Speaker 7: Yeah, well yeah yeah it is actually Yeah, and so
- 29:20Speaker 7: my family, my mom's family is actually from Louisiana.
- 29:23Speaker 5: Yeah, from like Charles.
- 29:24Speaker 2: I did hear it then?
- 29:26Speaker 5: For sure? Yeah, my grandfather is from like Charles. Yeah.
- 29:30Speaker 4: So so okay, I got to ask you this because
- 29:36Speaker 4: you know, on the guy's side.
- 29:37Speaker 3: So all right, there's a thing called passport bro.
- 29:40Speaker 5: Oh oh god, yeah we know about that.
- 29:42Speaker 2: You never heard of it?
- 29:43Speaker 5: Yeah, unfortunately unfortunately.
- 29:46Speaker 4: But what's not talked about a lot of like even
- 29:48Speaker 4: Stella had a groove BacT. There is a certain thing
- 29:51Speaker 4: of women go and they meet God, you guys, your relationships.
- 29:55Speaker 5: You know, kinda town.
- 29:59Speaker 2: It's d complicated.
- 30:00Speaker 3: It's rocky.
- 30:01Speaker 2: It's always complicated. Three years of complication.
- 30:04Speaker 3: It's rocky. We need to get it together.
- 30:06Speaker 5: We're getting it together this year.
- 30:08Speaker 2: That the next season, yeah.
- 30:09Speaker 5: Hopefully we hopefully next time we be engaged. Queens and kings, travel,
- 30:14Speaker 5: queens and kids.
- 30:16Speaker 4: Okay, it's rocky rocky Waters right for both for both
- 30:20Speaker 4: of year.
- 30:20Speaker 6: I will say rocky Waters because I'm like, it's a
- 30:22Speaker 6: good space.
- 30:23Speaker 5: It's cool. I'm figuring it out. I'll say that.
- 30:25Speaker 3: What does that mean though? Are you single or not?
- 30:28Speaker 3: I am you're single?
- 30:29Speaker 5: Yes, I feel like i'm single because.
- 30:32Speaker 4: I feel like i'm single. Are you single? That's crazy?
- 30:35Speaker 4: That's crazy because.
- 30:36Speaker 7: We still communicate, like we're still talking, but we're not
- 30:40Speaker 7: in a relation.
- 30:41Speaker 5: Right, that's what.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Right, you're traveling, Yes, you.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Need you need some time traveling, Queen, I'm traveling, Queeny
- 30:49Speaker 1: is so so all right?
- 30:51Speaker 4: So being at you guys are single, gods, try to
- 30:54Speaker 4: talk to you? How is that aspect? Because we never
- 30:57Speaker 4: really got to the bottom of that, Like we know
- 30:58Speaker 4: there's a stigma of guys when they travel certain elements,
- 31:02Speaker 4: but when women travel, right, is that something that you
- 31:05Speaker 4: care about or you like, I'm just here just for
- 31:08Speaker 4: a good time, like I don't want to talk to
- 31:10Speaker 4: a guy, or like.
- 31:11Speaker 5: I'm not gonna lie.
- 31:12Speaker 6: It really depends where you go because if I'm being
- 31:15Speaker 6: quite honest, the girls y'all might get mad at me.
- 31:17Speaker 6: But like when I went to That's December and Legos, Oh,
- 31:22Speaker 6: they was outside, the girls like they go there looking
- 31:25Speaker 6: for Oh. I didn't go this year. I went a
- 31:27Speaker 6: few years ago. But I know, like you go out there.
- 31:30Speaker 6: You might find you in Nigeria and King.
- 31:31Speaker 3: You know, I'm saying that's a part some true.
- 31:34Speaker 6: Yeah, the girls be traveling, traveling like I mean, it's
- 31:38Speaker 6: that's real, that's a real thing.
- 31:40Speaker 3: It is like they be on them like girls girls trip.
- 31:43Speaker 7: They love us to get them legs down with their clay,
- 31:45Speaker 7: and it'd be more than that going down.
- 31:48Speaker 3: That's a fact. Going over board.
- 31:51Speaker 5: I think the Passport bros Are more.
- 31:53Speaker 3: Like both Stanley Stanley rubbing them down.
- 31:55Speaker 5: With them going down.
- 31:58Speaker 6: But I think Dexter bros Are more like open and
- 32:01Speaker 6: it's more controversial. They're reasoning because they're like, oh, we
- 32:04Speaker 6: don't like American women anymore.
- 32:06Speaker 5: We're going to get something, trying to go get something cheaper. Yeah,
- 32:10Speaker 5: something cheaper.
- 32:11Speaker 6: And then they still don't want to pay them.
- 32:14Speaker 3: They don't want to pay them.
- 32:15Speaker 5: No, girls, the girls be on talk mad.
- 32:21Speaker 7: That's always been my perception of the Passport Bros. From
- 32:24Speaker 7: what I see online, Like they travel to these other
- 32:27Speaker 7: countries a lot of time, like third world countries and
- 32:30Speaker 7: try to find a wife because they're like, you know,
- 32:32Speaker 7: they're going to be happy with a minimalistic lifestyle versus
- 32:36Speaker 7: American women.
- 32:36Speaker 5: They feel like they want too much.
- 32:38Speaker 7: Yeah, too much expectation, too many expectations, too much money.
- 32:43Speaker 4: But then something that could be said too for the
- 32:45Speaker 4: girls that be like, look, I'm tired of dealing with
- 32:48Speaker 4: Prima Donna's in America. I want to actually you know
- 32:52Speaker 4: what I mean, Chopper treat.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Yeah, we can build all day down. You should build
- 32:59Speaker 3: the house.
- 33:00Speaker 2: But it's beer hands himself the lumber.
- 33:03Speaker 6: So yeah, I think the women are just like we
- 33:07Speaker 6: just more player per usual, per we keep our mouth shut,
- 33:10Speaker 6: we go, they go out the country get their men.
- 33:13Speaker 4: So in the show, did gods try to talk to
- 33:15Speaker 4: you in the show? Is that part of the show?
- 33:17Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, no, not at all.
- 33:19Speaker 3: It happened.
- 33:20Speaker 7: No, because I feel like a lot of people were
- 33:22Speaker 7: afraid to approach us a little bit because of the camp.
- 33:25Speaker 7: So it was a lot of people taking pictures of us,
- 33:27Speaker 7: but nobody really walking up saying anything.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:30Speaker 6: Yeah, oh yeah, we didn't have that but yeah, and
- 33:33Speaker 6: then we had security too.
- 33:34Speaker 5: Yeah. But that's one thing I like about the show.
- 33:37Speaker 5: It's not about none of that.
- 33:39Speaker 6: It's not about it's literally about us having a good time.
- 33:42Speaker 6: It's not about we're not talking about gender, none of
- 33:45Speaker 6: that dating stuff. Are y'all doing fifty to fifty a
- 33:48Speaker 6: two hundred dollars day? It ain't none of that, it's
- 33:51Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying. So it's completely different from
- 33:53Speaker 6: the podcast world.
- 33:54Speaker 1: I think it's interesting that you said almost in every
- 33:57Speaker 1: episode like it's safe, So it gives that message that
- 34:00Speaker 1: the travel here but you did have security. Are these
- 34:02Speaker 1: places that you would frequent without security? And how would
- 34:05Speaker 1: you feel if there was no cameras? It would just
- 34:07Speaker 1: be something like I can feel like I could come
- 34:09Speaker 1: back here.
- 34:10Speaker 7: And so I said, I would love to go back
- 34:13Speaker 7: to Mexico City and really get to explore the city,
- 34:15Speaker 7: not actually filming.
- 34:17Speaker 5: I would.
- 34:18Speaker 7: I would absolutely go back to all of those places
- 34:20Speaker 7: without security.
- 34:21Speaker 5: Columbia. Yeah, what was a street we were on in Colombia?
- 34:24Speaker 7: I can't remember what it was called, but it was
- 34:26Speaker 7: really really nice. It kind of reminded me of a
- 34:28Speaker 7: Colombian barbon street.
- 34:29Speaker 6: Yeah, like with the umbrellas in the dry Yeah, and
- 34:31Speaker 6: it was like it was a lot of families out
- 34:33Speaker 6: like turning up drinking, but you see a lot of
- 34:35Speaker 6: like kids and stuff.
- 34:36Speaker 5: It was actually really really cool.
- 34:38Speaker 6: So I would definitely go back, you know, with just us,
- 34:41Speaker 6: like a girl group, a big group of us.
- 34:43Speaker 1: So yeah, watching it was that was I think that
- 34:45Speaker 1: scene was the first time where I was like, oh wait,
- 34:48Speaker 1: like the cameras in here, like people are actually filming
- 34:51Speaker 1: them because y'all was dancing.
- 34:53Speaker 7: Right yep, you know we was cutting the mean rud
- 34:56Speaker 7: I mean.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Music, music is the universal language.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Talk about how that brings cultures together, how that brings
- 35:01Speaker 1: communities together. I know you've brought you your Texas to
- 35:05Speaker 1: work with you definitely, how that infusion of music just
- 35:11Speaker 1: brings us all together.
- 35:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:12Speaker 6: So we actually took a dance class on the beach
- 35:16Speaker 6: in Colombia, which was really fun, and it was like
- 35:18Speaker 6: some of the dance moves weren't exactly similar, but it
- 35:22Speaker 6: was like, Okay, I know how to do this. I
- 35:24Speaker 6: done did this in the club before, and I'm telling you,
- 35:27Speaker 6: it's like that's all I kept saying. I was just
- 35:29Speaker 6: so shocked at how similar we are the music influence.
- 35:33Speaker 6: You can hear certain things. I'm like, Okay, this is
- 35:35Speaker 6: something I would actually listen to, Like I listen to afrobeats,
- 35:38Speaker 6: so you can hear the influence of that in a
- 35:40Speaker 6: lot of the music that they were listening to So,
- 35:43Speaker 6: like I said, with traveling, especially with this show, because
- 35:46Speaker 6: I've traveled before, I'm just learning that how similar we
- 35:50Speaker 6: are instead of like us always pointing out the differences.
- 35:53Speaker 6: It's so much from the food and Charleston, I'm like,
- 35:56Speaker 6: this reminds me of Cajun or Creole foods.
- 36:00Speaker 4: Yeah, so you went to Charlesea, South Carolina, Key West, Florida, yes,
- 36:04Speaker 4: Mexico and Colombia yes.
- 36:05Speaker 3: So okay.
- 36:07Speaker 4: We talked about the international travel, but domestic travel because
- 36:10Speaker 4: that's something that a lot of people look over a
- 36:14Speaker 4: lot of places in America, like if you Miami, New York,
- 36:17Speaker 4: you know, Chicago, LA.
- 36:19Speaker 3: But there's a lot of like.
- 36:20Speaker 4: Hitting gyms, oh for sure, So these are places that
- 36:23Speaker 4: people might not usually go to. So talk about that,
- 36:27Speaker 4: like it's actually finding different places like those two places
- 36:32Speaker 4: in particular, Like how was your experience? Was there things
- 36:35Speaker 4: to do? Was it fun? Like how is that being
- 36:38Speaker 4: like most people just kind of look over that.
- 36:40Speaker 7: Yeah for sure, because I think that was me prior
- 36:43Speaker 7: to going to Key West and Charleston, Like those are
- 36:45Speaker 7: two places that I just never thought to travel to.
- 36:48Speaker 7: So it was definitely a lot to do there, and
- 36:50Speaker 7: it's so funny because I go to Miami all the
- 36:52Speaker 7: time and then Key West is right there. It's like,
- 36:54Speaker 7: I think a two hour drive and I never have
- 36:57Speaker 7: thought to go to Key West. But it's beautiful. The
- 36:59Speaker 7: water is beautiful, is clear. I think, what is super
- 37:02Speaker 7: close to Cuba? We went rafting? Yeah, what else did
- 37:06Speaker 7: we do there? We need a drag show? We ate
- 37:09Speaker 7: The night life is really dope. So I think that
- 37:12Speaker 7: I love about travel queens that it's definitely going to
- 37:15Speaker 7: highlight going to places that are literally almost in your backyard,
- 37:19Speaker 7: and it's budget friendly.
- 37:20Speaker 5: You can have a good time.
- 37:22Speaker 6: And I think the same thing about Charleston. I say
- 37:24Speaker 6: this every interview we do. I have a friend in
- 37:27Speaker 6: Charleston and he has been trying to get me to
- 37:28Speaker 6: come out there forever. He's like, lex, y'all love it,
- 37:30Speaker 6: come have fun, we gonna do this. I'm like, I'm
- 37:32Speaker 6: not going to Charleston. And I had a ball, like
- 37:35Speaker 6: the water, people take nice boats out, the food was amazing.
- 37:40Speaker 6: And I like to travel domestically anyway, Like one of
- 37:42Speaker 6: my favorite places to go is Phoenix. So I feel
- 37:45Speaker 6: like there are a lot of little places in the
- 37:48Speaker 6: States that are beautiful that you can really have a good.
- 37:51Speaker 5: Time and you don't have to break the bank, you
- 37:52Speaker 5: know what I mean.
- 37:53Speaker 6: So I like the fact that they split the season up, like, Okay,
- 37:56Speaker 6: we're gonna go some domestic places too, because people love
- 37:59Speaker 6: to say, oh, if you in the States, that's not
- 38:01Speaker 6: a vacation. If I'm working and I gotta pack and
- 38:04Speaker 6: spending night back, it's a vacation.
- 38:06Speaker 4: But then also it's like, all right, America is geographically
- 38:09Speaker 4: is bigger than Europe, right, So if you look at
- 38:11Speaker 4: it from that standpoint, that would be like somebody that
- 38:14Speaker 4: lives in France, if they go to even London, which
- 38:17Speaker 4: is a two hour train ride, they're looking at that
- 38:19Speaker 4: like that's a total different experience.
- 38:21Speaker 3: They go to Brussels, they go to Italy. America.
- 38:23Speaker 4: I think it just all gets lumped in is one thing,
- 38:27Speaker 4: but there's a bunch of different subcultures and different and
- 38:30Speaker 4: a lot of activities. That's important that you highlight that too,
- 38:34Speaker 4: because people think if you go to America, you just
- 38:37Speaker 4: you go to Miami, you're gonna go to the beach,
- 38:38Speaker 4: you're gonna go Collins, and you go to Hollywood, you're
- 38:41Speaker 4: gonna go shopping.
- 38:42Speaker 3: New York.
- 38:43Speaker 4: But it's like you can do outdoor activities and whitewater
- 38:47Speaker 4: rafting and skydiving in America.
- 38:50Speaker 3: You don't got to go outside the country do that,
- 38:52Speaker 3: all right.
- 38:53Speaker 7: And then even in Charleston, like the Geechee Gulla people
- 38:56Speaker 7: that are there, we knew nothing about them, and it's
- 38:58Speaker 7: a lot of Caribbean influence. It's African influence there, and
- 39:02Speaker 7: it's just something that we never knew about. The food
- 39:04Speaker 7: is similar, like you said, to the food in Louisiana.
- 39:06Speaker 7: The red rice was just like jambalaya. It's just so
- 39:09Speaker 7: many different variations of cultures in the United States that
- 39:14Speaker 7: I think we don't really pay attention to.
- 39:16Speaker 6: I wouldn't actually mind doing the season like here, like
- 39:20Speaker 6: New York, no traveling.
- 39:21Speaker 2: Domestic girls come here.
- 39:24Speaker 5: But yeah, but we could do a whole we did here.
- 39:27Speaker 6: Yeah, but I feel like there's so many like little pot.
- 39:34Speaker 2: You'll be watching I'll support y'all.
- 39:39Speaker 5: No, I do be saying like y'all don't be supporting
- 39:41Speaker 5: for real. He doesn't quote it like yes, letting us know. Look,
- 39:45Speaker 5: I'll be watching Trump. I'll be tuned in every Wednesday.
- 39:48Speaker 2: But yeah, is there.
- 39:50Speaker 1: An activity that you were surprised that you actually enjoyed right,
- 39:54Speaker 1: like there was someone I'm on there. I'm like, there's
- 39:56Speaker 1: no way I ever would have thought of that, but
- 39:58Speaker 1: it's something that you were like, we gotta do it,
- 40:01Speaker 1: and then you actually were like, this is actually fun.
- 40:03Speaker 5: I'll say the luta ly bright for me.
- 40:06Speaker 6: Yeah, I was gonna I was in there cutting up.
- 40:11Speaker 7: I didn't think I was gonna enjoy that either, but
- 40:13Speaker 7: it was actually really fun, especially when they had us
- 40:15Speaker 7: in the ring doing the flip.
- 40:17Speaker 5: But you didn't even know I could do that.
- 40:19Speaker 6: Yeah, even watching them fire, I was like, oh, y'all
- 40:21Speaker 6: are serious core. I ain't see to show that good
- 40:24Speaker 6: is renaissance renaissance, I really was, So that really surprised me.
- 40:31Speaker 6: I was like, ooh, I don't know if that's my thing.
- 40:33Speaker 6: I mean, I used to watch wrestling when I was little,
- 40:35Speaker 6: but I was like, okay, I'm grown.
- 40:37Speaker 5: But it was actually really fun.
- 40:39Speaker 7: Yeah, that was probably it for me because I feel
- 40:41Speaker 7: like everything else that we did I've done before, so
- 40:43Speaker 7: I knew I was gonna enjoy it, except for the
- 40:45Speaker 7: massages on the beach, but who not.
- 40:48Speaker 5: Yea, And that was the shortest activity we did. That's crazy.
- 40:51Speaker 4: It's not going to enjoy that right, So where do
- 40:56Speaker 4: you want to go in? You been to Ghana?
- 41:00Speaker 7: No, I haven't ever been to Africa. She's been to Nigeria,
- 41:03Speaker 7: but I.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Have to travel.
- 41:04Speaker 3: Should you should? You should come to Ghana. We're gone,
- 41:06Speaker 3: you should come. You should come with us?
- 41:08Speaker 1: Answer this question? She said, building a house there, that's crazy.
- 41:12Speaker 1: They don't support us like we support them. A house,
- 41:15Speaker 1: a community, well, you know city, you know what I mean?
- 41:19Speaker 2: Those are three different things.
- 41:20Speaker 6: Well, in a house where I'm from in Orange's about
- 41:23Speaker 6: six communities.
- 41:25Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying.
- 41:27Speaker 3: Y'all got to excuse me.
- 41:28Speaker 5: I'm a little country now.
- 41:29Speaker 2: The house in that sense, you know what I'm saying?
- 41:30Speaker 5: A house and that a home for you know.
- 41:33Speaker 2: The community? Yeah, yeah, what is that going? Now?
- 41:37Speaker 4: It's doing. It's going good. Y'all should come out there
- 41:39Speaker 4: when we come. We're actually going in a couple of weeks.
- 41:41Speaker 3: Okay, you should go.
- 41:43Speaker 2: I'm down for a little always down for.
- 41:45Speaker 5: How long y'all going for?
- 41:46Speaker 3: We're gonna be there for like almost eleven days like that.
- 41:49Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm gonna have to. Yeah. We love a.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Good trip, man, gonna live.
- 41:55Speaker 3: The food.
- 41:55Speaker 4: The food is amazing, I know what you like you okay, Yeah,
- 42:02Speaker 4: if y'all like, we gotta talk about food too, because
- 42:04Speaker 4: I feel like food and travel go hand in hand. No,
- 42:07Speaker 4: but Ghana is one of these places always. It's like
- 42:10Speaker 4: the entry to Africa. You should go to Ghana before
- 42:13Speaker 4: you go to any other country because it's very safe,
- 42:17Speaker 4: laid back. You know, some other countries a little bit
- 42:19Speaker 4: more aggressive, but Ghana is super relaxed, chill.
- 42:23Speaker 3: The food, and they got all kinds of different food.
- 42:26Speaker 4: So they got like Thai food, they got Chinese food,
- 42:28Speaker 4: they got Italian food, they got the local cuisine and
- 42:32Speaker 4: people very welcoming. They got beaches, they got the nightlife
- 42:35Speaker 4: is crazy. Yeah, so and we we really know like
- 42:39Speaker 4: the people. That's really the right people to know that
- 42:42Speaker 4: so we can get whatever we want.
- 42:44Speaker 2: I know that's right number one food travel place. Yeah.
- 42:48Speaker 6: But I agree with what you said like Ghana being
- 42:50Speaker 6: like like the entry to because I'm not gonna lie.
- 42:52Speaker 6: I always tell people this, like I went to Legos
- 42:56Speaker 6: with the guy I was dating at the time, and
- 42:58Speaker 6: you know he's from there, lived there. But it's like
- 43:00Speaker 6: you cannot go to Legos without being hosted by somebody.
- 43:04Speaker 6: I would never just be like, oh, girls, let's go
- 43:06Speaker 6: to Legos. Let's gather up the girls and go to Legos,
- 43:08Speaker 6: because you really have to know how to navigate that city.
- 43:11Speaker 6: It's very aggressive, like it's a culture shot. Like I've
- 43:15Speaker 6: never landed somewhere, and I was like, Oh, Lord, have mercy,
- 43:17Speaker 6: what's going on?
- 43:18Speaker 5: Jesus helpment?
- 43:20Speaker 2: Like for sure.
- 43:23Speaker 6: So but I always wanted to go to Gonda because
- 43:25Speaker 6: I do hear that, like girls go on trips together
- 43:28Speaker 6: and they can navigate it pretty easily easily.
- 43:31Speaker 4: And then they got the whole history thing, like you
- 43:33Speaker 4: know if you're interpreted like the slave castle, dungeons and
- 43:36Speaker 4: all that, so that's a historical thing.
- 43:39Speaker 3: So it's it's it's a really dope place.
- 43:42Speaker 5: Yeah, they had them.
- 43:46Speaker 7: They did, They really did, just like I forgot.
- 43:52Speaker 5: So I'm just trying to breage the culture to see
- 43:54Speaker 5: we more.
- 43:55Speaker 4: Like we tied it back to So it's like it
- 43:57Speaker 4: so there's you know Jamestown, Virginia. Yeah, it's hard to
- 44:00Speaker 4: be so there's a Jamestown in Ghana. So that's where
- 44:04Speaker 4: they so that it was a direct line. Yeah, Jamestown, Ghana.
- 44:08Speaker 5: That's crazy. I never knew that.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Yeah, we've been to both.
- 44:11Speaker 5: I know that's right.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Yeah, when you're standing in a cry and you're looking
- 44:16Speaker 1: out in the water, there's just a moment that you
- 44:17Speaker 1: realize that your ancestors left here and never came back,
- 44:21Speaker 1: and some of them didn't make it to Jamestown in Virginia,
- 44:24Speaker 1: will what would be called Jamestown in Virginia? And then
- 44:26Speaker 1: you realize on the other side, when in America looking
- 44:30Speaker 1: out to the Atlantic, you realize how far you've come here.
- 44:33Speaker 1: So it's definitely one of those moments that you definitely
- 44:36Speaker 1: should experience and have people filming you.
- 44:39Speaker 7: I see and have people filming this, hopefully BETCD.
- 44:43Speaker 1: Where else would you guys go if you had a list? Right,
- 44:46Speaker 1: this is the whist list for season two. Here's where
- 44:49Speaker 1: we want to go. What would be those places I.
- 44:52Speaker 7: Really would love And maybe this is just casting a
- 44:54Speaker 7: wide nick, but I really would love to go to
- 44:57Speaker 7: Africa next season, you know? Or yeah, I just travel
- 45:01Speaker 7: to different places, like go to like do an episode
- 45:04Speaker 7: in Peris, do an episode in London.
- 45:08Speaker 5: I haven't been to Perios before I had and I
- 45:10Speaker 5: had a ball cutting up.
- 45:13Speaker 6: You did have a time, mercy, Jesus, I have to go.
- 45:18Speaker 6: I've been to Amsterdam and when I tell you I
- 45:22Speaker 6: had a time I was in them coffee shops cutting up.
- 45:26Speaker 5: So I feel like we have to go to Amsterdam.
- 45:29Speaker 5: Oh what.
- 45:31Speaker 2: Was up?
- 45:33Speaker 7: I had maybe Santorini. Yeah, and you have to go
- 45:36Speaker 7: back to a visa.
- 45:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 45:38Speaker 6: But the food that surprised me in Amsterdam it was
- 45:41Speaker 6: really really good. It was like kind of the same thing,
- 45:43Speaker 6: like a melting pot, Like the tafoo was really good.
- 45:45Speaker 5: The Italian food was really good, but same.
- 45:48Speaker 6: We need to go to Greece cause I think people
- 45:51Speaker 6: I've never been to Greece personally, but I would like
- 45:53Speaker 6: to show because everybody when I see people talking about
- 45:55Speaker 6: Greece are like, oh, should I go to Santorini or
- 45:57Speaker 6: a Mikono's like those two spots. But santor is like
- 46:00Speaker 6: the honeymoon spot and Mikingos is like the party spot.
- 46:02Speaker 6: So I would love for us to kind of do
- 46:04Speaker 6: like an episode like that. I want to really go
- 46:08Speaker 6: to places that aren't just like just the beachy type
- 46:11Speaker 6: of stuff too, Like you know, I want to go
- 46:13Speaker 6: to like Niece and like show people like, okay, we
- 46:16Speaker 6: can do the fancy stuff, have a little one, you
- 46:19Speaker 6: know what I'm saying. So there's just a lot of
- 46:21Speaker 6: places that I've already been that I'm like, Oh my gosh,
- 46:24Speaker 6: I wish I had.
- 46:25Speaker 5: Like Madrid, because we only got to be a Madrid
- 46:27Speaker 5: for today.
- 46:27Speaker 7: We didn't really get to explore it the way that
- 46:29Speaker 7: we wanted to because remember we wanted to go to
- 46:31Speaker 7: the museum.
- 46:32Speaker 4: And yeah, out of the place that you've been to already,
- 46:36Speaker 4: like outside of the travel show, what's like your top
- 46:38Speaker 4: five places that you've been to?
- 46:41Speaker 3: And why.
- 46:43Speaker 6: Dubai? Why because I felt fancy. I was like, I'm
- 46:46Speaker 6: so regal, I belong here, you know what I'm saying.
- 46:51Speaker 6: When I went to Dubai, it was just like I
- 46:54Speaker 6: had an amazing time.
- 46:55Speaker 5: I don't know, I feel like, first of all, I'm
- 46:57Speaker 5: just the vibe.
- 46:57Speaker 6: I'll always be turned up, so no matter where I go,
- 47:00Speaker 6: I'm going to have a time. But Paris, definitely, that's
- 47:05Speaker 6: one of my favorite spots. And honestly, I will say
- 47:06Speaker 6: Legos because I did Legos the right way.
- 47:09Speaker 5: Those are like my top three.
- 47:10Speaker 7: Oh but I love Jamaica. I always have a time, Yes,
- 47:14Speaker 7: Jamaica's I just.
- 47:15Speaker 5: Came back from Jamaica a few weeks apart.
- 47:18Speaker 7: I actually this was my first time going to Kingston
- 47:21Speaker 7: because normally I always go to Mobath was yeah, well no,
- 47:25Speaker 7: I was, well, my best friends shout out, so I
- 47:27Speaker 7: try to spell people teas see I was with somebody,
- 47:30Speaker 7: But it wasn't like that. One of my best friends
- 47:33Speaker 7: is actually Jamaican. Shout out to my best friendly in
- 47:36Speaker 7: and so her family has like a whole compound in Kingston.
- 47:39Speaker 7: So she always goes out there for like two months
- 47:42Speaker 7: at a time and spend a lot of time with
- 47:44Speaker 7: her family.
- 47:44Speaker 5: And she was like, girl, you should come. And I'm like,
- 47:46Speaker 5: I don't.
- 47:46Speaker 7: Know Kingston again, just never going somewhere, making assumptions.
- 47:52Speaker 5: But it was really safe. I was a little scared.
- 47:54Speaker 1: My family from Kingston, really yeah, my whole family from there.
- 47:57Speaker 1: My mom said they grew up in the same neighborhood
- 48:00Speaker 1: we went Kingson. A few years ago, I went back
- 48:02Speaker 1: to the neighborhood and the police escorted me out the neighborhood.
- 48:06Speaker 2: They say, you don't belong here, don't come back.
- 48:08Speaker 5: I'm weak. That's why you don't like gumbo.
- 48:10Speaker 1: You don't look like oxtails, I don't eat beef, and
- 48:13Speaker 1: you ate poor. We'll talk about that later. But keep
- 48:15Speaker 1: doing things you did. You did you did Kingston with us?
- 48:18Speaker 7: But I had a good time in Kingston, I would
- 48:20Speaker 7: say honestly. When we went to a Beza, we had
- 48:22Speaker 7: a really Yeah, we had a really good time in
- 48:25Speaker 7: the visa and then London as well.
- 48:30Speaker 5: Vibe.
- 48:31Speaker 7: I couldn't get with the beans and toast, but that
- 48:33Speaker 7: was the best part for me, you know, No, I
- 48:35Speaker 7: love a little.
- 48:36Speaker 5: Bean you do, but you didn't like those?
- 48:39Speaker 6: No, I did like the breakfast beans of money. That's
- 48:41Speaker 6: the first bean I didn't like. But I do like London.
- 48:44Speaker 6: It's cool, but I don't know, it reminds me of
- 48:47Speaker 6: New York, you know what I'm saying.
- 48:48Speaker 7: So when I like, they stayed New York and Tokyo
- 48:51Speaker 7: and London are all the same.
- 48:53Speaker 5: Yeah, like similar. But I went to Brazil and what
- 48:57Speaker 5: was that December? Did I for the first time? Rio?
- 49:03Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 49:03Speaker 5: I went to Rio.
- 49:04Speaker 6: So I had an amazing time. I'd be lit. I'd
- 49:08Speaker 6: be going to as soon as I land.
- 49:09Speaker 5: I'm drunk.
- 49:10Speaker 6: What a party act. And I had a good time.
- 49:13Speaker 6: So we definitely gotta do.
- 49:15Speaker 5: And I just love the Caribbean.
- 49:16Speaker 7: Like remember when I went to like Tobago, Kays and
- 49:20Speaker 7: I went to all of these different islands. I was
- 49:21Speaker 7: on a yacht for like seven days and I went
- 49:23Speaker 7: to like five different islands.
- 49:24Speaker 5: It was really really dope.
- 49:25Speaker 2: Not the Fisherman.
- 49:27Speaker 3: It was a yat yacht.
- 49:28Speaker 5: I was still a little.
- 49:31Speaker 3: So for flat.
- 49:33Speaker 4: So if we put if we put up, if we
- 49:35Speaker 4: put a post up for like top five places that
- 49:38Speaker 4: black women should travel, that's we got Dubai.
- 49:41Speaker 3: Yes, we got Paris.
- 49:43Speaker 1: Y Amsterdam for sure, Amsterdam, Jamaica.
- 49:48Speaker 7: And then I would say, oh, turk One, Yeah we
- 49:52Speaker 7: forgot about it.
- 49:53Speaker 6: Her.
- 49:53Speaker 5: You didn't even mention her a.
- 49:57Speaker 7: It's really but it's probably one of the most expensive
- 49:59Speaker 7: places is that we there.
- 50:01Speaker 3: Yeah, we had some good times and Turks.
- 50:02Speaker 6: Yeah, Turks is definitely about but and you need your money,
- 50:06Speaker 6: but it ain't budget friendly at all at all. And
- 50:09Speaker 6: I will say honestly, when I went to Amsterdam, there's
- 50:11Speaker 6: a lot of black people in Amsterdam.
- 50:13Speaker 5: Like that's surprising Africans. It's a lot.
- 50:16Speaker 6: I mean it was a lot of people of a
- 50:18Speaker 6: lot of Americans there that had actually.
- 50:20Speaker 5: Moved well, no, they a lot of people that were
- 50:21Speaker 5: living there.
- 50:22Speaker 6: Yeah, like I have met I just walked into a
- 50:24Speaker 6: random bar and I was by myself, just walking because
- 50:27Speaker 6: my friend had to work and I walked it this
- 50:29Speaker 6: random bar. I met so many like black Americans that
- 50:31Speaker 6: have been living there for years.
- 50:33Speaker 3: Been there? You been to Asia?
- 50:36Speaker 5: No, not at all.
- 50:38Speaker 4: Tribal queens, Asia, Thyland, y'all you gonna love Thailand for sure?
- 50:43Speaker 4: Why you don't think like Thailand too? But but I
- 50:47Speaker 4: just feel like lex.
- 50:49Speaker 6: LEXI probably isn't like turn up fun or like food fun.
- 50:55Speaker 4: But it's super like, it's super turn up like as
- 50:58Speaker 4: far as like, Thailand's a good place because whatever you
- 51:02Speaker 4: want to do you can do. Like there's like different vibes,
- 51:05Speaker 4: Like there's beach vibes, there's city vibes, there's like beautiful
- 51:08Speaker 4: island vibes. Parties go twenty four hours a day.
- 51:11Speaker 5: Oh yeah, that's mine.
- 51:12Speaker 4: It's like super It's Thailand's a good place. Y'all should
- 51:15Speaker 4: definitely put down your list.
- 51:16Speaker 5: I'm going to go to Mankind. Yeah.
- 51:18Speaker 6: The pork blbuns, So I don't judge me because that's
- 51:21Speaker 6: what I'm eating tearing the albums.
- 51:23Speaker 2: I really judge you, right, pork.
- 51:25Speaker 3: It is tasty pork bows, the work, the bal buns.
- 51:30Speaker 5: And they have like the pork in it, the little
- 51:32Speaker 5: soft buns and then they have like the falling on
- 51:34Speaker 5: the inside.
- 51:35Speaker 2: Did you you had pork cheek? Right? What?
- 51:38Speaker 5: What was it with the table? Was beef? It was?
- 51:41Speaker 6: It was it was I was judging and the eye
- 51:43Speaker 6: and it was beef hated by an adventurous either.
- 51:46Speaker 4: Though, let's get to this. Let's get to this, all right,
- 51:48Speaker 4: let's get to this. This is this is social media necessarily.
- 51:53Speaker 4: So we got two different categories. Okay, I said something
- 51:57Speaker 4: on social media. They got went very controversial. In my
- 52:00Speaker 4: top five food cities in America.
- 52:02Speaker 2: I saw that. I remember that.
- 52:04Speaker 3: Did you remember that?
- 52:05Speaker 2: I do?
- 52:05Speaker 5: I remember it was like a few months ago.
- 52:07Speaker 3: So okay, you guys travel a lot your footies.
- 52:12Speaker 2: Yes, yes, both foolies.
- 52:14Speaker 3: So let's do this. Let's start with America. What is it.
- 52:17Speaker 4: What's your top five food cities in America? And explain
- 52:22Speaker 4: this to me.
- 52:23Speaker 7: And I see, maybe I'm being a little biased because
- 52:27Speaker 7: I'm from Houston, but I feel like Houston has some
- 52:31Speaker 7: of the best food in the States. Like it's just
- 52:34Speaker 7: so many different flavors, so many different cultures. Like we
- 52:38Speaker 7: have really good Mexican food because we're right there by Mexico.
- 52:41Speaker 7: We have really good Cajun and Creole food because we're
- 52:44Speaker 7: right there by Louisiana and it's so many Louisiana people
- 52:46Speaker 7: that have moved to Houston. Then I feel like even
- 52:50Speaker 7: in the clubs, even the strip club foods Bussy, you
- 52:54Speaker 7: can get fried rice at three am. They not doing
- 52:57Speaker 7: that in other cities. Like, I don't know, I just
- 52:59Speaker 7: feel like Houston has really really good food, definitely with
- 53:03Speaker 7: site New York, just because there's so many different cultures
- 53:06Speaker 7: out here, and y'all have really good Cuban food. Y'all
- 53:09Speaker 7: have really good Dominican food. Making food like the least
- 53:13Speaker 7: just goes on and on.
- 53:14Speaker 5: Chicago.
- 53:15Speaker 7: Chicago, for sure, Chicago has really really good food as well.
- 53:19Speaker 7: They have a lot of amazing restaurants out there.
- 53:23Speaker 6: I've never been in Chicago. Like, restaurant is always good.
- 53:27Speaker 6: New Orleans, you know New Orleans. You're not really sold
- 53:31Speaker 6: on New Orleans. That's controversial, but it's close to Houston,
- 53:35Speaker 6: to be honest, because the whole change it did, it
- 53:38Speaker 6: really did, And I don't men.
- 53:43Speaker 7: That's probably want the food is so good in Houston
- 53:44Speaker 7: because everybody waves them.
- 53:46Speaker 3: Yeah, so break this because everybody thinks.
- 53:48Speaker 2: That Chicago and you didn't have Chicago.
- 53:50Speaker 5: You know how Chicago thing.
- 53:52Speaker 3: Yeah, but Chicago, I definitely could have. They could have
- 53:55Speaker 3: they forgave you. Well, let's talk about New Orleans.
- 53:58Speaker 4: This is controversial because people think is the best thing
- 54:01Speaker 4: ever when it comes to food.
- 54:02Speaker 3: Yeah, you think it's overrated.
- 54:04Speaker 5: It's not that I think that it's overrated.
- 54:07Speaker 7: I just think, Okay, Like I was saying earlier, my
- 54:10Speaker 7: family is from Louisiana, so I grew up eating Creole
- 54:14Speaker 7: Cajun food a lot. I think that a lot of
- 54:16Speaker 7: the restaurants in Louisiana are very commercial. So it's different
- 54:20Speaker 7: from like if you're eating the food at your Greennie
- 54:22Speaker 7: House versus if you're going to a lot of beas
- 54:24Speaker 7: chain restaurants outside of Tomorrow's, outside of Morrows because shout
- 54:29Speaker 7: out to.
- 54:29Speaker 2: Big Larrow and everything in that.
- 54:31Speaker 5: Amen. But I will say I agree with her.
- 54:34Speaker 6: If you're like in New Orleans or Louisiana, wherever you are,
- 54:37Speaker 6: if you go to somebody aunty house, you're gonna have
- 54:39Speaker 6: the best food you've ever had in.
- 54:41Speaker 5: Your life boat.
- 54:42Speaker 6: But like if you're just on Bourbon Street and you're
- 54:44Speaker 6: trying to eat, it's not going to be like.
- 54:46Speaker 5: It's just very commercial yeah, so, yeah, I agree with that.
- 54:49Speaker 4: Well, so we got Houston, New York, Chicago. We got
- 54:55Speaker 4: two more cities.
- 54:56Speaker 5: I would say Philly has really good food.
- 54:58Speaker 3: Interesting Philly, Philadelphia.
- 55:00Speaker 5: Yeah, like we went.
- 55:01Speaker 7: I can't remember the name of that restaurant. Maybe living
- 55:04Speaker 7: rent free in my head. That Italian restaurant that we
- 55:06Speaker 7: went to out there, that pasta was some of the
- 55:09Speaker 7: best possible in my life. I really can't. I wish
- 55:12Speaker 7: I could remember the name of the restaurant right now.
- 55:14Speaker 2: That's incredible.
- 55:16Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm trying to think one more, one more. We're somewhere,
- 55:23Speaker 6: I don't.
- 55:24Speaker 5: Know, somewhere else, somewhere else.
- 55:26Speaker 3: Miami, DC has good food.
- 55:28Speaker 6: Okay, I'm not mad at that. I'm not I'm not
- 55:31Speaker 6: mad at that. I'm kind of like, but but you
- 55:33Speaker 6: know what he writes.
- 55:34Speaker 3: I think Miami.
- 55:36Speaker 4: Miami gets overlooked because they like but Miami got some
- 55:40Speaker 4: dope ass restaurants they do that are experiences, vibes and.
- 55:44Speaker 5: Esthetically and the food. Yeah, let's just talk about sexy fish.
- 55:48Speaker 6: Like, y'all have to cross sexy fish all my cold
- 55:51Speaker 6: dead hands. I love me some sexy feet. Yeah, I
- 55:54Speaker 6: love sexy fish. Fish one of my favorite things.
- 55:58Speaker 5: We went to the Miami one from birthday one year.
- 56:00Speaker 6: But my favorite thing to do is just get dressed
- 56:03Speaker 6: up like I'm talking about, put that ship on and
- 56:05Speaker 6: go to dinner and sexy.
- 56:08Speaker 5: Like in Miami. Every restaurant you gotta put that ship on.
- 56:11Speaker 6: We went for my birthday one year, Miami got a
- 56:15Speaker 6: house on the water and every time we went to dinner,
- 56:17Speaker 6: we had on full like dress and.
- 56:19Speaker 3: It's so five. They bringing out sparklers they got I love.
- 56:23Speaker 7: Poppy stead one you don't eat. Yes, we had a
- 56:30Speaker 7: swamp come Bay we did to come out for my
- 56:33Speaker 7: birthday place Mila.
- 56:38Speaker 5: Yeah, Mela was.
- 56:40Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm gonna say Miami. I'll put Miami before DC
- 56:43Speaker 6: me too.
- 56:44Speaker 2: A bunch of times. I'm not sure.
- 56:47Speaker 5: It's like.
- 56:50Speaker 3: Restaurant.
- 56:51Speaker 4: It's it's not as commercial, right, Yeah, like brunch, I
- 56:55Speaker 4: had like the best Indian that a random It was
- 56:59Speaker 4: a random just walking and this.
- 57:02Speaker 7: Isn't domestic, but I had some of the best Indian
- 57:04Speaker 7: food in my life in Kingston.
- 57:07Speaker 4: Well, let's talk about that international international because you guys
- 57:10Speaker 4: are international traveler experts. Give me the top five international
- 57:16Speaker 4: places that you've been to.
- 57:18Speaker 7: Well as far as food, food, just Jamaica.
- 57:23Speaker 6: Yeah, okay, I'll put Ja Bake on my list. I
- 57:25Speaker 6: won't say number one like I said. I know I
- 57:27Speaker 6: keep talking about Amsterdam, but it shocked me. Yes, that's
- 57:32Speaker 6: Tige food that's in the top. Yes, I'm telling you.
- 57:35Speaker 6: Anybody who has been in Amsterdam a few times will
- 57:37Speaker 6: be like, yeah, the food out there is Amsterdam.
- 57:40Speaker 5: Amsterdam.
- 57:42Speaker 7: Like I said, Jamaica just because you're automatically gonna think
- 57:46Speaker 7: of Jamaican food, the hostail, the rice and peas, but
- 57:51Speaker 7: Jamaica has really good Asian food, like they have really
- 57:54Speaker 7: good Chinese food, and they have really really good Indian.
- 57:56Speaker 3: You've been to Screechies, I have been a screen.
- 58:03Speaker 2: Definitely, pepper Tome.
- 58:06Speaker 5: Have you ever heard of pepper Tome? Yeah?
- 58:09Speaker 7: My best friend always say I'm an honorary Jamaican walk one.
- 58:13Speaker 2: Saying those things. Okay, spree Cheeses.
- 58:15Speaker 3: You had the popcorn lobster, Yes, that was jerk.
- 58:19Speaker 5: Well, no, I had the jerk chicken and then I
- 58:21Speaker 5: had the.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Pop popcorn jerk lobster. And I still talk about four hours.
- 58:25Speaker 1: But it's okay.
- 58:26Speaker 7: They're gonna take a long time at all themshis, but
- 58:28Speaker 7: it's worth the way it's.
- 58:29Speaker 4: Been Kingston, right, No, that's that's a hell Shire. Paris
- 58:32Speaker 4: it's like an hour hour beach China. So we got
- 58:35Speaker 4: we got Jamaica and we got Amsterdam.
- 58:38Speaker 6: Legos for sure, I mean I was. I was really
- 58:41Speaker 6: eating good out there. Abiza had good food. Abiza restaurant
- 58:47Speaker 6: we went to. Oh my god, we were eating good.
- 58:50Speaker 5: About your restaurants to go back to?
- 58:52Speaker 7: Yeah, Oh my gosh, it was so keep the names
- 58:55Speaker 7: of these places and we do uh more?
- 58:58Speaker 5: Okay, where else did we don't?
- 58:59Speaker 3: Like Paris?
- 59:01Speaker 5: I'm not gonna lie. Paris was the first time.
- 59:03Speaker 6: See that was I went on a little vacation when
- 59:05Speaker 6: I went, and it was the first time I.
- 59:07Speaker 3: Had duck ever ever, said doctors. The vibe with the
- 59:13Speaker 3: with the pancake sauce.
- 59:16Speaker 6: I wish I remember the name of the restaurant. It
- 59:18Speaker 6: was right across from the Louis Vuitton store. So we're
- 59:20Speaker 6: like it was just so.
- 59:27Speaker 2: Time of my life.
- 59:30Speaker 6: Yeah, Paris had amazing food, which, like I said, sometimes
- 59:33Speaker 6: it surprised me because when I go to Europe, I'm
- 59:35Speaker 6: really like.
- 59:35Speaker 4: Oh what about the lan what about like Mexico or Colombia?
- 59:40Speaker 5: I we ate good in Colombia.
- 59:42Speaker 7: You know what, funny enough Columbia too, people are gonna
- 59:46Speaker 7: automatically assume Colombian food. They had really good Italian food
- 59:49Speaker 7: out there. They had some really good Mexican food out
- 59:51Speaker 7: there too, and.
- 59:52Speaker 6: You're gonna be mad. But when I went to Brazil,
- 59:54Speaker 6: they had these little sausages things. I was on the
- 59:56Speaker 6: beach eating a little sausage. It was so good. It
- 59:58Speaker 6: was like a sausage sandwich thing.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: I was a sausage sandwich.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: Glis.
- 1:00:04Speaker 7: Being from the South, we love a little sausage sandwich, sausage,
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: a little bread and less.
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Glissy, So what's the worst place that you've
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: ever like?
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: London?
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: I'm sorry that London had one good place that A
- 1:00:15Speaker 6: bunch of waffle is the only place we.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: Always had good for No, that's what I was gonna say.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Shot objective.
- 1:00:22Speaker 7: We went to Soho House in London and that was
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: one of the best burgers I've had in my whole
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: entire Like it wasn't good.
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: A lot of restaurants in London that.
- 1:00:31Speaker 5: They do they do a London girl like you are
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: to Egypt.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: No disrespect to all my people from Egypt, but that
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: food is didn't meet the ball and I got full poisons.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: Probably every well, a lot of the people that went did.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: Like no ceason and no season in the same.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: Probably at the if we had to rank them, it
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: would probably be at the bottom.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: The worst, the worst.
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: And see, I wasn't expecting it. Are they strict out there?
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: No, that's cool. I mean Egypt is as good as
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: far as historical standpoint. It was.
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: It was amazing to see the pyramids, to see luxar,
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: amazing experience. But just the fool missed the bar. But
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: it's not like we didn't get like parties. We didn't
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: like party too much.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: Out of there.
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: It was more wow, I don't need to go.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Well, we never we didn't go to New Cairo. Her
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: New Cairo is the place. But I don't know if
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: there's like a turn up, turn up, like how you
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: would love.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: To turn up.
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: You know, it's crazy.
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: When I'm at home, I hate, I hate the club,
- 1:01:28Speaker 6: I hate going out.
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: But when i'm youll on, country man, what time is
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: y'all already? It's time.
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: You think about legos is they don't close the club
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: until the last person.
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: Now they go too far though, they take it to yo.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: I love it ten am.
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: I left.
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: They still that they still party as wild.
- 1:01:47Speaker 5: They was like you still here?
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: Yes, no, no, no, they go too far. Oh I
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: love it.
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: I was up the last my last night in Legos.
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: We left the club at ten am. We went back
- 1:01:58Speaker 6: and packed and I made this is the airport.
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: But that's part of the travel experience too. You got
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: to show the night life. Like even I was like
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: we only in New York hang out too much, but
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: like we was in London. We went out five nights
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: in a row, every single night.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: Seven nights.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: And I had a birthday party in London and Paris
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: on the same day.
- 1:02:15Speaker 5: You don't know, life is fun, That's what I will say.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: I'll take you like the NPE London. Yeah tape, I'm
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: gonna go with. The night life is great. I'm not
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: sure the food is great, but life.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: Is in London.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: I had good food in London. I can't complain. I
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: can't knock the fool I was.
- 1:02:32Speaker 7: Fooling with everything with the beans and sows for that's
- 1:02:35Speaker 7: what the that's what they got me.
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: Dub got good food too, Like I mean, it's all right,
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: let's do this. There's a difference between nice restaurants and
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: cultural right, exactly, Like you know what I mean, if
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: you have if the city's wealthy, they're gonna have top restaurants.
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: If you go to top restaurants, you're gonna eco right, agree,
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: London for instance, Right, Like we go to top restaurants,
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: we're gonna eacho. You're not gonna have a bad experience
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: at a high end restaurant. But if it's like Jamaica,
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: you can go to a screecheese and that feels like
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: that's the best food ever. Right, But that's not a
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: five star Michelan.
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: It might as well be.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: But I'm not gonna lie.
- 1:03:14Speaker 6: When I was in Dealshire, it's the time. What was
- 1:03:16Speaker 6: the restaurant the Salt Bay guys, Yeah.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: I've been. We've been a few of those.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: I'm just not I mean, it's a steakhouse, for one,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: so we're not really doing much of that, but it
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: is I think it's a bit overrated.
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: Well i'll tell you right now. The steak wasn't it tasty?
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: Red meat?
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: But you gotta go to Melos in Dubai at Atlantis, Okay,
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: legendary highest level.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: Oh, she's a traveler, so it's in Dubai. It's in.
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: That's the Atlantis. What's the what's the level on Atlantis?
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: They got two levels at Atlantis. It's a regular level
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: and then they got the higher level of Atlantis. So
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: when you go.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: Elite, have like a v all piers.
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: Let me put that in my nose.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: Though they got you know that Beyonce opened a hotel
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: a few years ago with the Big Waterfall.
- 1:04:10Speaker 5: Okay, everybody, but.
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: They got in the city too, two of them.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: Yeah's go there for us by making cool, making cool.
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: Okay, period, y'all make the call welcome to put.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Atlanta in any of those lists, Atlanta.
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: Atlanta because because and we're not.
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: We're not.
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: We didn't forgive you just say.
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: Not made the food list.
- 1:04:36Speaker 5: I mean Atlanta got the wings on.
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: Lot, the wings chicken.
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: Chicken, wings, strip Club wings, the wings on lot. But
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: it's for me.
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: Outside of that, that's about it.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: It's over.
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: I don't know, like even barbecue being from Texas, being
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: from Houston, barbecue is a big thing out there. My
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: mom every time she comes to Atlanta, she's like, well,
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: you can give me whatever you want, but don't give
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: me no barbecue. Because she was like it tastes like
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: they boil the meat first and then put it on
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: the grill.
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: It's just I don't know. They don't do a lot
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: of things right in Atlanta.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: Stop stop, you're doubling down. Trippling down is a snap.
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: You don't think they can be snapping.
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: What's the best food? What's the best signature food? For instance,
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: Philly has a cheese steak. New York, New York Chicago
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: date debate about this pizza, Like, what does New Orleans?
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: New Orleans has oysters?
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: I was like, I would like gumbo.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: What's the what's your favorite? New York also has glizzies too.
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: What's your favorite, y'all do you can get them out
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: every corner?
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: What's your favorite cultural thing where it's like this is
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: in Houston, Ortlanta in America? Like, if you, like I said,
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: if you could pick one thing where it's like I
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: want to I want a Philly cheese steak.
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: I want a deep dish pizza from Chicago.
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: I want I gotta have this when I go to
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: the city.
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: Taco a taco in Houston.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: We have so many tacos s aynonymous with Houston because
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: of the.
- 1:06:14Speaker 7: We have so many Mexican food trucks.
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: So like three a m.
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: Four am, you could go to any gas station parking
- 1:06:21Speaker 7: lot and it's going to be a busting taco truck
- 1:06:23Speaker 7: and you can get like five tacos.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: Cheese cheese.
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: New York I have had a shop cheese.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: I was that experience.
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: It was good.
- 1:06:30Speaker 7: It was good, but we probably should go somewhere that
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: char recommend because we just went to a random place.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: It was good, Okay, there taste chop cheese on on
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: on the docket.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: Then in the city.
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: I am a Chicago pizza girl.
- 1:06:48Speaker 6: I love a thin crust New York.
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: Then yeah, New.
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: York State, Chicago like the deep dish. Yeah, so it's
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: too much, I don't like it?
- 1:07:01Speaker 7: Sold Yeah, And we went to the place that they
- 1:07:05Speaker 7: were commended, like that one of the top places in Chicago.
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: I think Giordano's. Giordano's like that.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: They said that that's the commercial side, but it's one
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: that has the real deep dish.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: I've tried a bunch of like three of them already.
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: So you like beef dish, I'm.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: A I'm a New York what's what's your pet?
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: What what I just said? As far as I'm going
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: with Philly cheese steak, Philly cheese.
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: I don't even eat beef salmon a Philly salmon cheese,
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: but I just feel like Philly cheese steak is legendary.
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: I'm biasing salmon cheese.
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: But the number one thing I'm gonna say is a
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: Jamaican beef patty, even.
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: Though, but that's not a synonymous anonymous with Jamaica about
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: American thing, he said, Anyway, in America.
- 1:07:46Speaker 5: Jamaican beef patties don't taste the same here.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: No, no, no, I got I'm gonna take you to
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: the right place, okay.
- 1:07:52Speaker 7: Because I had a beef petty from the gas station
- 1:07:54Speaker 7: in Kingsty. It was good, yes, but apparently that place
- 1:07:58Speaker 7: is known for their beef patties. I can't remember the
- 1:08:00Speaker 7: name of it, but it's like a gas station, a
- 1:08:03Speaker 7: little restaurant.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: Food and gas stations. That's questionable, treachery.
- 1:08:10Speaker 6: Yeah, Atlanta, have you ever had Dave's cheese steak Big day?
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: For sure?
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: He started all started in a gas fact, that's the
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: fact there a.
- 1:08:20Speaker 6: Long time ago to actually try the best cheese you
- 1:08:23Speaker 6: ate when it was Yes, I went to what.
- 1:08:28Speaker 5: From far and wide for some good food.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: I got you on the patties I got.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: Oh you know, yeah, I gotta get the marathon Burger
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: in l A too.
- 1:08:36Speaker 5: Oh. I love a good bar. I wanted a little snack.
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: I'll make a burger tro Burger, a little snack, troll burgers.
- 1:08:43Speaker 7: And I had Schroburger for the first time actually a
- 1:08:45Speaker 7: few months ago when I went to the rodeo and
- 1:08:47Speaker 7: it was good.
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: They lived up to the height solid possible one too official.
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: I like my extra bacon.
- 1:08:56Speaker 7: She's all, don't know bacon for me, making crispy little
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: turkey bacon.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: No, I want that park yep. Do y'all see this?
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Obviously you've created streams from poor minds, but Travel Queens
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: has that potential as well when I look at it, right,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: to create maybe a travel agency, a travel club, a
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: travel platform for all women.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: Really, do y'all see that? In the cars?
- 1:09:23Speaker 7: Yeah, we always say cause it's so funny because prior
- 1:09:26Speaker 7: to us getting the opportunity to do Travel Queens, we
- 1:09:29Speaker 7: were actually talking about starting like a travel group with
- 1:09:32Speaker 7: some of our listeners and like traveling to different places,
- 1:09:35Speaker 7: planning excoursions, planning in the whole trip. And then they
- 1:09:37Speaker 7: just pay you, not a certain price and then they
- 1:09:39Speaker 7: can come travel with it. So that's something I'm definitely open.
- 1:09:42Speaker 6: To, I feel like now because at first I was like,
- 1:09:44Speaker 6: how are we gonna like pitch this to them and
- 1:09:46Speaker 6: how are we gonna do it? But now that we
- 1:09:47Speaker 6: have a whole show to be like and it can
- 1:09:50Speaker 6: branch off of it, We're definitely gonna do it now
- 1:09:52Speaker 6: for sure, Cause like I said, we travel anyway, and
- 1:09:55Speaker 6: I think, like I said, that goes into like our
- 1:09:57Speaker 6: engagement with our audience, like you can feel like you
- 1:09:59Speaker 6: can travel with us and have a good time with us.
- 1:10:01Speaker 6: So it's so many opportunities, like in the travel space
- 1:10:05Speaker 6: of like things to do, Like eventually, I wouldn't mind
- 1:10:08Speaker 6: us doing like a Poor Minds on the Gold episode,
- 1:10:10Speaker 6: like whenever we're in different countries and recording an episode
- 1:10:12Speaker 6: and things like that.
- 1:10:13Speaker 5: So it's a lot. It's a lot that we line
- 1:10:16Speaker 5: with Travel Queens, and we've been talking about a lot.
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: So that should definitely do a travel cloth Oh.
- 1:10:20Speaker 5: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: So I think it would be really fun retreat too.
- 1:10:24Speaker 6: Yeah, And I said, it's something that we could document
- 1:10:28Speaker 6: and film and that'll live on our Patreon. We'll have
- 1:10:31Speaker 6: a whole you know, it's just it's a lot that
- 1:10:33Speaker 6: we can do. But it's a lot that we are
- 1:10:34Speaker 6: talking about. But it's like she said, it's crazy because
- 1:10:37Speaker 6: this is something that we were already talking about doing
- 1:10:39Speaker 6: because we travel so much.
- 1:10:40Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think people will enjoy it.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: I think they see you on Poor Minds, they're like,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: oh when we meet them and probably different like y'all
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: are one hundred percent the people that y'all all on
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: that camera, y'all with cameras.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: I think people really enjoy that authenticity.
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: I think, thank you there, you have it. Well, how
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: can they watch the show? All the information let us know?
- 1:10:59Speaker 7: Okay, so you can watch it on be et her.
- 1:11:03Speaker 7: So if you have Hulu, you can add the bet
- 1:11:06Speaker 7: her ad on. It's also on Filo TV and you
- 1:11:09Speaker 7: can add the bet her add on on there as well.
- 1:11:12Speaker 7: You can watch it on bt dot com and then
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: it's also on YouTube TV.
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: Yeah.

- 1:11:19Speaker 6: have cable. Yeah, if you got cable, then you already

- 1:12:15Speaker 4: of to existence of Travel Queens and keep killing it.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: Thank you, appreciate you all.
- 1:12:21Speaker 8: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 1:12:24Speaker 8: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 1:12:29Speaker 8: accused of murdering a Texas. Man of Venezuelan charged with
- 1:12:33Speaker 8: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 1:12:37Speaker 8: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 1:12:41Speaker 8: Donald J.
- 1:12:41Speaker 5: Trump's leadership.
- 1:12:42Speaker 8: I'm Christine Noman, the United States Secretary of Homeland Security.
- 1:12:46Speaker 8: Under President Trump, attempted illegal border crossings are at the
- 1:12:50Speaker 8: lowest levels ever recorded, and over one hundred thousand illegal
- 1:12:54Speaker 8: aliens have been arrested. If you are here illegally, your
- 1:12:58Speaker 8: next you will be fine nearly one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned,

- 1:13:06Speaker 8: using our CBP home app and leave now, you could
- 1:13:09Speaker 8: be allowed to return legally. Do what's right. Leave now.
- 1:13:14Speaker 8: Under President Trump, America's laws, border and families will be protected.
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
