- 0:28things nerdy do you know you get porn on
- 0:35Snapchat yeah like just full on I could give you on Snapchat that I'd made
- 0:40myself no no not like that like there's sites you just enter their name and they
- 0:45record stuff and put it up for you to watch Oh you mean you add the user on
- 0:49Snapchat yeah yeah and then they put on a show they film each little bit how do
- 0:54you make money from that well I guess you charge people for that service yeah
- 0:59I mean I don't so that's the thing like I I saw one I went I'll get an add it
- 1:03and see how they make money and I can't work it out they just once a week I get
- 1:07a show I've been watching it so much just trying to figure it out just keep
- 1:11watching and watching one question for you Luke y have you put your credit card
- 1:14details in somewhere along the line no not into Snapchat no not into Snapchat
- 1:19but have you sent somebody like some girl in Los Angeles has your details
- 1:23right no not at all okay interesting and it's really weird watching it because
- 1:28you're sort of going okay you've just filmed it like that's just happened it's
- 1:32sort of weird yeah right so you're it's like
- 1:40voyerism it no give it a go sexy saffron what are we talking about here I mean
- 1:45how sexy are we talking she's quite attractive she's a redhead isn't she I'm
- 1:50not talking about how attractive is I'm talking about how much does she do for
- 1:54you um she does everything with her boyfriend interesting like it's full on
- 2:00last week she had a was a voting system full penetration that's a quote from a
- 2:05film we're going to talk about a bit later on yes it is it sure is oh you've
- 2:10uh caught up ly yes I finally sat down and watched it didn't even have the
- 2:14ironing out well I'm glad to hear that had your full attention did it yes it
- 2:19did do you want to talk about it now we can talk about it now all right I feel a
- 2:22bit bashful now I finally got around to seeing the tail job you want to talk us
- 2:25through what the tail job is for those listeners who don't know I might let Dan
- 2:29take I think it'll sound better coming from you lukee yeah I want you to do it
- 2:33some you know Australian movie uhhuh oh I usually don't like those well that's
- 2:38one thing I found strange it does have that Australian feel to it mhm it is an
- 2:42Australian movie which I don't mind yeah so it's probably why it had that feel
- 2:46this is a film that Dan has made yeah yeah Dan's written with our friend Brian
- 2:51and you know it's an Australian film because there's three to four shots of
- 2:55the Sydney Harbor Bridge yes yes yeah and that's all you need for it to be an
- 2:58Australian film these days is isn't it that's right that's all you need yeah
- 3:01and funny accents yeah well they're not funny accents that's just how we talk no
- 3:06well cuz it's just people we know yeah that's right but uh tail drob is the
- 3:12story of Nicholas he got a bit of a feeling that it's fiance is cheating mhm
- 3:17jumps in a taxi and gets the driver to follow him and things go downhill from
- 3:22there would you say things spiral quickly out of control very quickly yeah okay yeah good
- 3:28sign of a good movie then yeah did you enjoy it Luke you don't
- 3:32have to be nice I did enjoy it except for one bit go on the scene that I
- 3:36should have been in I know man I told you the role was written for you I just
- 3:41say I that could me and I could have done that better yeah you could have man
- 3:45with beard drinks and watches nudes is how that character name appears
- 3:52in the script offered it to Luke and he turned me down something about not
- 3:57living in the same city as me or some [ __ ] God tell me this Luke who was
- 4:02your favorite uh character in the film the best performance now think very
- 4:05carefully about your answer I think you'll find I think you find the answer is quite
- 4:10obvious uh it' be Terry small shoes Terry small
- 4:14shoes MH no I I'd have to say uh just between us M yeah uh probably be Jenna
- 4:21uhuh all right yeah no I I quite like Laura oh yeah yeah no no well that's
- 4:26good too oh yeah I thought she did very well it's funny because Jenna plays is
- 4:30or she doesn't play the only American character I guess she does by default
- 4:33but because she's the only American actor in the film I I do feel that in
- 4:37the American screenings that we've had there's been a point where she says her
- 4:41line and everyone kind of goes ah ah yeah ah I understand what someone
- 4:47said yeah that's right it was funny watching some of the
- 4:51scen though going I know where that is that' be pretty much everywhere rightman
- 4:56be a prostitute there yeah some of was filmed downstairs of our house that Matt
- 5:01still lives in it's got people in it that I've bumped into places and didn't
- 5:06remember that that's where I knew them from and so I've I've just been like oh
- 5:09I know that that guy from somewhere like cam Knight oh yeah yeah uh and I'm like
- 5:15because he's kind of comedy TV presenter kind of celebrity guy in Sydney mhm and
- 5:22then and then like every time I figured out I'm like I he was at my house yeah
- 5:25that's right yeah exactly right you just have so many guys coming through your
- 5:29house I it's hard while while this was being done I did yeah sorry MADD sorry
- 5:34no it's fine it was fun well look would you recommend this film to people Luke
- 5:39definitely good I'm glad you would I'm I'm I couldn't watch up with Hannah
- 5:43because she's on her way to Tasmania oh but when she gets back I'm going to sit
- 5:47down and watch it with her as well I knew I had to watch it today are you
- 5:50alone in the house ly I am oh wow you going to be all right I'm alone who's
- 5:55going to feed you there's we I got some microwavable meals so yeah it's fine
- 6:00there's notes on how long to do it my default is eggs whenever I'm the only
- 6:04one here it's eggs every time I love that but then you got to clean up wa for
- 6:09a week I eat eggs every night of the week yeah you used to eat eggs all the
- 6:13time when you were here that's my thing that's that's my food just an egg on
- 6:17some toast yes correct y That's my food that's how I keep myself alive well look
- 6:23before we move on from the tail job M uh I've managed to score an interview with
- 6:28somebody in D in the film is that right however did you manage that this will be
- 6:34of particular interest to Chris on Twitter who requested a tail job update
- 6:39y this is a surprise to you obviously I didn't I didn't tell you that I was
- 6:41going to do this Dan well I mean sorry as as you'll shortly understand you did
- 6:46know about it okay yeah do you you guys want to hear my interview yeah
- 6:50definitely yeah I do yeah I'm joined now by the co-director of a new film that
- 6:55recently had its World premiere at the slam dance film festival in Park City
- 6:58Utah it's been described as perhaps the funniest film to ever come out of
- 7:02Australia Daniel Miller welcome to the show could you tell us a bit about the
- 7:05film yeah it's called the tail job
- 7:13right well can we uh can we include a clip this is an audio podcast so I'm not
- 7:19sure that would translate too well do you have a clip you want me to play
- 7:24yeah okay yeah I have the file now um all right here we go this is a clip from
- 7:30uh from the
- 7:34film this doesn't seem to be a clip of the movie is that yeah is that you Dan
- 7:40correct with a [ __ ] that's right and what is that maneuver she's performing
- 7:46on you called It's called The Tail job
- 7:50right did you invent this position yeah well I mean I I like to think that I
- 7:55didn't invent it that it was kind of already out there and I just organized
- 7:59didn't gave it a name you know what I mean well it's certainly impressive from
- 8:04a stamina and endurance sort of perspective oh cheers man yeah yeah I'm
- 8:09pretty stoked I got to say I'm surprised you found someone willing to do it you can't
- 8:16pay actresses to do that they don't do it so you actually have to pay um porn
- 8:21stars or strippers to come out and do it yeah well makes me wonder what else you
- 8:25get up to God where do you begin this might be the most disturbing thing I've
- 8:29ever seen except maybe that rape scene in irreversible you know what we had a
- 8:33sales agent tell us that that scene is his favorite scene whatever A lot of
- 8:38people are starting to watch it okay and uh everyone really likes it which is
- 8:42great can we uh can we include a CP what's that noise Matt you want to have
- 8:48a guess what it is [ __ ] I'd rather we just get back to
- 8:53talking about your film well that sounds riveting well I'm sorry this interview
- 8:56doesn't interest you nothing we can do about that well you're just going to
- 9:00make derisive comments about me now there's only one thing that anyone ever
- 9:03criticizes but it's always the same thing yeah whatever well thanks for
- 9:07coming on the show [ __ ] off I guess we'll put this interview up on the
- 9:11specials Channel or something and say here lies a failure that suck Jesus
- 9:17Christ so there you go oh what what do you got to say for yourself Dan [ __ ] me
- 9:22is that one interview that you've butchered there or is that is that a
- 9:26Frankenstein I don't I don't even remember who I'm actually talking to
- 9:29there it's a Frankenstein oh
- 9:35God thanks thank you thank you Jenna for collecting all those clips for me have
- 9:39we now come so full circle that we're parodying ourselves on this that's
- 9:44amazing apparently so apparently so
- 9:49great well done guys well that was our new segment uh Luke reviews things mhm
- 9:55uh I guess we need a jingle for that um what would you like for your jingle
- 10:00Luke oh don't say the porkers or something like that I was about to say
- 10:05skulla yeah oh skulla fine yes do do you need me to
- 10:11send you some skulla music yes do it now mhm I can't now do it now sing sing now
- 10:17no fine I'll get it
- 10:22[Music]
- 10:26later anyway uh stay tuned next week when we make Luke review something else
- 10:31oh why don't give me something to review now okay I'll give you something to
- 10:34review now all right what about the uh the magic eight ball butt plug
- 10:46okay to sex to news sex to
- 10:51news this is uh come out on the market
- 10:54this week from a uh an Etsy store called
- 11:00glow [ __ ]
- 11:01yourself okay and um it's a legitimately
- 11:07real working magic eight ball around the size of one you might
- 11:12imagine would fit on a key ring except this one's attached to the
- 11:18other end of a little metal butt plug so what is I mean I was going to say what's
- 11:22the intended use I think I can figure that out but I mean I assume you put the
- 11:26butt plug in and then you ask it various questions about stuff you might want to
- 11:30do to the person wearing it and it tells you what your chances are I thought cuz
- 11:36I was going to say if I'm you know if I'm having some some mat time and I
- 11:39wanted to play with this it wouldn't be much use to me once once I'm already
- 11:42using it you know yeah you got to shake it around and ask at questions I'm not
- 11:46to see it if you said to somebody who had this up their ass and was shaking it
- 11:51about if you ask the magic eight ball can I do butt things to you the answer
- 11:56is probably already yes yeah or no because I've got the butt
- 12:01plugin I'll be honest yeah I'm surprised nobody's thought of this already mhm
- 12:06yeah I like how they've put it next to a Sharpie for scale although that Sharpie
- 12:10is not like any Sharpie I've ever seen before yes cuz it's up somebody's butt
- 12:14is that why no look at it it's huge I've seen a sh but it's have you yeah I think
- 12:19I go to different kind of websites than you m apparently so is was it on
- 12:23Snapchat no so Luke are you going to have a bit of a review of check your
- 12:28phones check my phone yep oh god what have you done God what what is this
- 12:34coming through why are you sending me what is this I think it's Luke's review are you
- 12:40serious did you just order one yep all right well ladies and gentlemen you will
- 12:45hear Luke's review um well six to eight delivery
- 12:50weeks I guess yeah Luke yeah I love
- 12:55you no I don't have to use it as a buck plug do I you can find something else to
- 13:00do with it that's fine I could just I review how I use it are you getting this
- 13:05deliver to your work no I get it to my parcel Locker can I just say are you
- 13:11guys looking at this right now yeah now I don't know what you guys get up to in
- 13:16the bedroom and I don't want to make any assumptions but at the risk of sounding
- 13:20a little bit vanilla it's not this right at the risk of sounding like a prude I
- 13:25don't actually own a butt plug of any kind right I'll admit that okay Luke does
- 13:30now Luke can never again say that he doesn't I'm surprised by the the
- 13:37insertion end of this being more cork screwy than I imagined it would be oh
- 13:44wait there's different types I'm scrolling down there's different types
- 13:47yeah there's different one which one did you order Luke I don't know I just put
- 13:50in there in order okay I didn't really look that closely because one of them is
- 13:55kind of like a bowl but kind of looks like a you know if a spoon was threedimensional
- 14:01yeah right and then one of them looks like well spoon is threedimensional but
- 14:05I I was waiting for that but if a spoon was extruded and then one of them looks
- 14:12like a beehive yeah it looks like one of those things that they see you see in films
- 14:18that people use to get honey out of a jar that no one actually owns one of
- 14:21those wooden things yes oh yes yeah yeah so whether Luke has one that looks
- 14:28considerably less comfortable than the other is only um something that time
- 14:32will tell yeah now um okay so that's for a few weeks what should I review next
- 14:38week um god let's keep the price lower this time and the accessibility uh
- 14:45better yeah I would like you to review the next film that you get sent
- 14:50on Snapchat yeah and you have to review
- 14:54it Luke like it's a legitimate film yeah we have have to talk about the cast
- 15:01Direction plot M character Arc uh technical things like lighting
- 15:07cinematography and lighting editing if there is well last week there was a
- 15:11cooking show so be interesting to see what happens next week all right that
- 15:15does sound interesting I got to say see this why I should not be left alone yeah
- 15:22and Hanah just started listening to the podcast she's going to get home and then
- 15:25you're going to be like oh thank God I need someone to help me get this out
- 15:29so uh I don't want to start a whole new segment for this but uh I'd say this is
- 15:35at least a one-off little segment called uh Dan learns about Australian history
- 15:41okay do we need a jingle for that a little one-off jingle could come up
- 15:45again all right I'll I'll do something okay uh let me know if you need a vocal
- 15:50track laid down right okay okay yeah yeah for
- 15:55sure learns about Australian history back
- 16:00I was reading this week about the arrival of the First Fleet right for
- 16:06those of you who don't know for those of you in other countries other than
- 16:10Australia the First Fleet was 11 ships that were Admiral by Governor Arthur
- 16:15Phillip who brought them to botney Bay and then later Sydney Cove and started
- 16:21the first settlement what became Sydney in 1788 so Captain Arthur philli kept
- 16:27extensive Diaries as most ship captains do of the voyage and of the landing
- 16:34right yeah right so I was reading excerpts from that diary this week and I
- 16:38want you to know right now this is not a bit okay I was G to say this is real
- 16:43Peter Mayu in no no no no this this is Captain I'd pick someone better than
- 16:48Captain Arthur Phillip right i' somebody slightly more topical what happened was
- 16:53James Cook mapped out the east coast and and cited botney Bay as the prime land
- 16:59space so that's where Arthur Philip landed first had an altercation there
- 17:04with the local Aboriginal people and decided instead to disembark and go
- 17:10about 10 km North uh to Jackson Bay and
- 17:14and and go Inland to a place that they later called Sydney Cove which became
- 17:19Sydney right so the reason for them not sticking around in botney Bay are you
- 17:26guys aware of this no okay I'm going to give you a multiple choice question
- 17:31multiple choice all right yep upon confronting the Aboriginal people For
- 17:37the First Time The Landing party consisting of Arthur philli and the
- 17:41other officers reacted to the abin by a
- 17:46greeting them like old friends B brutally slaughtering them all
- 17:53or C showing them all their dicks what do you I I have to go with dicks is it
- 17:58is it going to be c yeah no joke what they all got their dicks out why
- 18:04because fashion of officers at the time was to be clean shaven and to wear long
- 18:09powdered wigs right right and as they met the Aboriginal uh hunting party that
- 18:15came out to greet them through their rudimentary way of communicating with
- 18:20one another it came out that the Aboriginal men thought they had met the
- 18:25women of of this of this
- 18:30and so in order to prove to them that they were all in fact men Captain Arthur
- 18:36philli ordered that all the officers out whip it
- 18:42out interesting and sorry they couldn't hang around after that cuz they were too
- 18:46embarrassed they I think they just wanted to find a place where there
- 18:49weren't anyone who'd seen their dicks like they're like look mate we've got
- 18:54this entire continent do we have to land at the one place where a bunch of dudes have sit
- 18:59dicks yeah no I think I think even when the dicks came out the aberin still said
- 19:04we prefer if you didn't uh if you didn't land here how about or is it because
- 19:08they laughed at the size of their dick so they went no we got to get out of
- 19:12here yeah let's go yeah maybe or if you if it was that though you'd think that
- 19:16they'd go a little bit further than 15 minutes up the up the lake you know
- 19:22right I'll admit no I did not know that is that in any the documentaries no they
- 19:27uh they left that part out of the lessons that I learned in school maybe
- 19:30we should make a film about the what really happened yeah yeah but like film
- 19:36I mean short sketch yeah I don't know if it would maintain an entire film no I I
- 19:42don't think so but I've seen I've seen films based on less but honestly what
- 19:47else are the history books keeping us from you know what other Secrets does
- 19:51history have when the First Fleet arrived and showed their dicks to the
- 19:55Aborigines is it so much Secrets or I just can't be bothered to
- 20:01research maybe it's that just you personally the information's there yeah
- 20:06got hidden I just can't be bothered to pick up the
- 20:11book yeah maybe you've nailed it there Luke maybe uh maybe my teachers at
- 20:16school just just didn't look into enough details about the first landing like oh
- 20:21and something about dicks but I'm not going to read that far down I can't
- 20:25believe right if if I I mean I'm sure there's PR good reasons not to do this
- 20:29but if I was a teacher and like I was teaching a history class and they were
- 20:32all bored don't get your dick out no I'd be like you know what I'll get you know
- 20:35what they'll find interesting yeah is this story be like look if you all pay
- 20:39attention to this I'll tell you how the dicks factor in yeah that's right you
- 20:44know if you work hard all day and the afternoon I'll tell you about that time
- 20:49Captain Arthur Phillip showed his dick to a bunch of Aboriginal men all right
- 20:52kids I'm going to tell you something now we'll be on the test and you will
- 20:55remember it yeah that's right yeah anyway that's dick news for today dick
- 21:00news SL Dan learns about history I have a feeling it's going to be the
- 21:04same I have a public service announcement you if you're planning
- 21:08getting the Fallout 4 season pass yeah do it before the 1st of March uhuh yeah
- 21:13why well what uh cuz how much is it now it's $50 in Australia now okay right as
- 21:20of the 1 of March it goes to 80 why the season pass they sold they went look we
- 21:26don't even know what we're doing yet but we guarantee you it's worth this [ __ ]
- 21:30that annoys me yeah and so they went buy it at this price but they also did say
- 21:35that if you have already bought it you've got it already yeah but they've
- 21:38worked out that no we're actually doing quite a lot more content than we had
- 21:42originally thought we were going to do so we're going to have to increase the
- 21:45price right no I mean that's that's good I'm glad they're planning on doing a lot
- 21:49of stuff and I like the fact that they're even going look so you've got
- 21:53they've given people two weeks to do it so you've got until the 1 of March to
- 21:57get it at the current price before it jumps up here's the thing so I would
- 22:02recommend doing it now by the time I get to the point where I've played enough
- 22:06Fallout 4 that I even need the DLC I'm going to have so many other games that
- 22:11I'm I'm focusing on no I'm there I'm there right now I don't know man I I had
- 22:16it from day one all I'm doing is I'm just wandering around now and just I
- 22:21don't know upgrading my armor I haven't even I haven't even touched it in in
- 22:26maybe a month yeah but we're talking about four Fallout 4 and playing the
- 22:29game Fallout 4 that's true I haven't done that either oh dick news is
- 22:35finished I just haven't played it at all I actually sat down for the first time
- 22:39in ages and started playing it again and I'm upset that I haven't been playing it
- 22:43for so long yeah that's what I'm going to be doing after the podcast and
- 22:47probably to the early hours of the morning tonight me too Haven you got
- 22:50work tomorrow but I did last night it's fine I can go in late all right then I
- 22:55have to leave late yeah I made I made an effort to play something this weekend I
- 23:00don't know if anybody else has checked this out the division there the open
- 23:03Beta I saw that you were playing it yeah have you guys I don't play betas anymore
- 23:08okay why is that it reminds him too much of what he does at work I'm spending two
- 23:13well no it's more that I've got that many games that I own that I haven't
- 23:17played maybe I should play them instead of worrying about a game that it's not
- 23:21out yet it's just a test well part of the reason I did this was
- 23:24because uh I didn't really know what the division was I saw it at Pax and E Expo
- 23:30and everything like that and I think I was I was a bit confused about what it
- 23:33was I thought it was just like a squad shooter kind of because it's Tom Clan's
- 23:37the division yeah I haven't played one of the Tom Clancy games for years
- 23:39actually well this is more like Destiny
- 23:44than it is anything else yeah um and uh
- 23:49first of all I it's really good I I'm really enjoying it and I I'm pretty sure
- 23:54I will be playing it uh when it comes out because it's yeah it's like Destiny
- 23:58so it's sort of an MMO in that you have other people running around the world
- 24:04and it's set there's been a a viral outbreak in in Manhattan and you're part
- 24:09of the division and you basically you establish a base at the start and then
- 24:14you go out into this kind of open world which is other people running around in
- 24:18it as well and and you know do missions and collect uh you got to power up parts
- 24:25of the base and stuff like that to try and restore order in Manhattan mhm it's
- 24:29kind of post-apocalyptic version of the city you you know you upgrade your guns
- 24:33and it's like there RPG elements to it it's really cool it's a it's a
- 24:38cover-based shooter as well which I like I prefer that to um yeah me too to stuff
- 24:42like Destiny cuz I actually enjoy Destiny but then I played this and I'm
- 24:45like this is like a better version of that I think I haven't like I said I've
- 24:50already played the beta and I've only played it a little bit but so far I
- 24:54really like it okay I don't know I was goingon to say check it out because it's
- 24:58one of those thing it's a good opportunity to see if I will like the
- 25:01game before I can oh I'll get to buy it anyway yeah I know you are but I I'm
- 25:06sort of hesitant to commit to I might leave a bit later to get it cuz I don't
- 25:11want to commit to another long play game sure cuz and that's what the division is
- 25:14it's going to be loing in quite a lot well I found I couldn't even commit to
- 25:19uh rise of the Tomb Raider I played that for a bit and
- 25:23really enjoyed the first kind of couple of levels of it and then was just like n
- 25:27man I need to just just [ __ ] get back in the Wasteland and explore like I'm
- 25:31just not done with that yet I'm just not ready to let Fallout go that's how I am
- 25:35with Witcher I've got to finish the [ __ ] game well yesterday I actually
- 25:39went I'm going to play Witcher and then I opened it up and went it needs an
- 25:43update 16 gig and I went well off the Fallout I go well yeah the division so far it's
- 25:48really good um the there was one other thing I wanted to discuss uh I haven't
- 25:53experienced it because this is only on PC um but it's one of the first lot of games that
- 25:59support uh eye tracking peripherals which is you know like a thing where it
- 26:05can see where you're looking and um what it does uh in this case is when you're
- 26:12if you're on the PC and you've got one of these things it knows if you're
- 26:16looking at the map and it will open the map and it knows if you're if you're
- 26:20shooting and you look kind of up to the side it kind of slightly changes the the
- 26:25view to suit where you're looking and stuff like that I mean I haven't used it
- 26:29so I don't know how accurate this is but apparently it's really cool it's subtle
- 26:32enough that it works really well cuz I think it's one of those things that
- 26:36people go stupid with it it'll just be a pain in the ass M but like apparently it
- 26:40will Target enemies uh you know if you're looking at an enemy it knows to
- 26:43Target them and so it'll adjust the HUD to say you're targeting that guy now cuz
- 26:48you're looking at him yeah it's pretty cool and then looking at the edge of the
- 26:51screen will prompt it to kind of lean that way a little bit like if you're
- 26:56leaning around the corner and you can't quite see It'll kind of edge out which
- 26:59is going to take a little while to get used to I can imagine but I can see
- 27:02being quite good well I you say that and I I agree but then that's the thing that
- 27:07they're saying is that it apparently is quite natural feeling like it it's it
- 27:11doesn't take too long to get used to which is interesting okay yeah I don't
- 27:15know I don't have any of that Hardware or so no I my computer wouldn't even it
- 27:20would get upset if I tried to even think about it barely runs Skype y as we've
- 27:26discovered over the last few weeks I can't run the most up-to-date version of
- 27:29Skype but you're here today and that's what that's what counts I'm here today that's right
- 27:33yeah so yeah the division uh check it out well the beta will be over well I
- 27:39will eventually yeah I'm not going to bother with the beta yeah I used to sign
- 27:42up to all the betas and then I just got to the point of I could be playing a
- 27:46full game that I own that I haven't finished yet yeah it's I I I'll play
- 27:50trials but I don't really care about betas cuz normally the beta is about how
- 27:55it's going to perform online with multiplayer yeah and with I don't like
- 27:58playing online with people so well this was a good opportunity for me because I
- 28:02feel like I've had opportunities to play the division like at packs and stuff
- 28:05like that and I I didn't bother CU I I didn't think it would interest me and
- 28:09then I found out about it later and I was like ah damn it I should I should
- 28:11have checked that out it sounds cool and so this is a good opportunity for me to
- 28:14do that I misjudged it I think cuz it had Tom Clancy on it I thought oh it's
- 28:18going to be like Rainbow Six or whatever but it's it's not at all I mean it is a
- 28:22little bit but but it's it's got more to it than than I thought yeah it's good F
- 28:27now all I've been playing this week is uh apart from for essay was super toy
- 28:31cars yeah what is what is that it's a racing game where you plays little toy
- 28:37cars well that does sound kind of fun I'll admit that does sound kind of fun
- 28:40yeah that's it's fun not a long game I finished it 100% now H that's on the
- 28:46Xbox obviously uh yes I had to get my friend's account to install it why oh
- 28:52because it's one of the ones this is one of the little independent developers
- 28:56yeah and oh I've got a new idea for a job that I'll explain in a minute all
- 29:01right okay um this is from so to try and get their game released in austral
- 29:06they'd have to go through all the classification process so that takes
- 29:09time and money and that's it's not really going to sell probably enough for
- 29:12him to do it here right so it's just got like an American release right so you
- 29:16you obtained it got my friend in America to buy it and come over here and install
- 29:20it and while he was here I was playing it and then he went home
- 29:25yeah [ __ ] crimes it's not a
- 29:29crime but um no my job my idea for a job and I think we could all do this now
- 29:36every country in the world has different classifications right yes and they all
- 29:39have their own ways of applying for it yes I want to be a job my S an
- 29:44organization and we do the classifications for all the countries so
- 29:48instead of people having to apply for each of the countries and pay a fee in
- 29:52each country they pay us one fee and we handle it for all the countries they
- 29:56want to release in and we just say everything's fine so for example like if
- 30:00we classify it for um Saudi Arabia we take out all the
- 30:05women yeah so we basically look at what their classification is and go okay over
- 30:10there this would be an R rating but here it would be an M here this would not be
- 30:14release so we just we still it meet the classification of each country but we're
- 30:17just doing it for the organization as a whole instead of them having to go
- 30:22everywhere and do it that's interesting makes sense oh and now that you've said
- 30:24it on the podcast bet sure it happens yeah of course like I said last week I
- 30:29said are there going to be future movies with an R rating now Deadpool's done so
- 30:33well right Wolverine what next Wolverine is going to be irrated is that so really
- 30:39is it gonna be hu gonna be like [ __ ] come here H Jackman yep hug Jackman's
- 30:43last one um but I found also when I heard about that I also heard something
- 30:47else that's kind of depressing um people so people who were
- 30:53born the year Hugh Jackman first played Wolverine will be old enough to go see
- 30:58his next St oh my God that's pretty funny yeah wow that makes me feel a
- 31:05little old I'm glad Deadpool's having a
- 31:09positive effect on uh on things cuz it's it's it's not all of them have to be
- 31:16irrated but no no no of course they just need to learn that well one the highest
- 31:23grossest movies it's good that they've realized I don't know what I don't know
- 31:27what message they took away from the fact that it's been really successful it
- 31:29might not be the message that we think but yeah I'm hoping they realize that
- 31:34they don't have to keep pandering to children and they can make these comic
- 31:38book movies for adults yeah but hopefully that's the message that they took
- 31:44away yeah um do you guys see this uh petition to get Deadpool to host
- 31:48Saturday Saturday Night Live not Ryan Reynolds Deadpool yeah but I don't think
- 31:53it would work I don't like Saturday Night Live so I don't really give a [ __ ]
- 31:57yeah and also I'm kind of a little bit
- 32:01reluctant for Deadpool to get that kind of additional peripheral marketing
- 32:07mainstream yes exactly because it's a good movie let's not ruin it I've seen
- 32:13this happen before let's let's just keep it I'm not even sure we need a sequel to
- 32:18this yeah I can't see Deadpool hosting something like that because there's no
- 32:23fourth War he's just talking directly to the audience which sort of takes away
- 32:26some of his humor yeah well look don't worry too much he's he said he's not
- 32:32going to do it and deadp said he's not gonna do it yeah yeah and well we'll
- 32:37hear his statement on that shortly um because he did it in a rather amusing
- 32:41way and this leads us into Kanye West news for this week and I need to do I
- 32:44need to apologize right to Kanye to Kanye W about Kanye West yeah because I
- 32:49I used him in when I was talking he's used us when I was talking in a in an over
- 32:56long and boring manner about spot the other week I said uh if you're Taylor
- 33:02Swift or Kanye West I'm pretty sure I used him as an example then then you're
- 33:05doing all right apparently he's not doing all right Kanye no he's millions
- 33:08of dollar in debt and he's begging for cash so I'm sorry about that Kanye I
- 33:12didn't mean to include you in the in a list of rich people um but also he had a
- 33:18bit of a meltdown on Saturday Night Live did you guys hear about this yeah no s
- 33:22of Twitter rant and no he was recorded backstage they did something they [ __ ] I
- 33:27didn't hear about that okay they did something well I've got a clip I've got
- 33:29a clip of him here uh and we'll listen to it it's it's pretty amusing by 50%
- 33:35more influent than any other human being don't [ __ ] with
- 33:39me don't [ __ ] with me don't [ __ ] with me
- 33:44by 50% Dead or Alive by 50% for the next
- 33:48thousand years Stanley Krick
- 33:53yay so according to Kanye West he is 50%
- 33:58more influential than Stanley Kubrick Pablo Picasso and the Apostle
- 34:04Paul wow so um that is that is like next level delusion isn't it yeah he's
- 34:10[ __ ] crazy did you hear about he made a game and um it was something about his
- 34:17mother going to heaven or something Jesus and then he was presenting
- 34:22something or some shows that and he's gone look here watch this and no one
- 34:26sort of reacted the way he wanted so he made them everyone watch it again and
- 34:30told him this is good I just can't believe that a Kardashian married
- 34:37someone who embarrassed their
- 34:41family you know what I mean like I just
- 34:45I don't understand how how he's so out of touch well look Kanye's annoyed at
- 34:51Saturn out live obviously uh and and we're going to hear now Deadpool
- 34:56statement regarding regarding Saturday not live okay listen up more Michaels
- 35:01SNL took my [ __ ] life a Pablo without
- 35:04asking now that and R Taylor fake ass
- 35:09I'm going break the [ __ ] in been 7even years since x man Origins
- 35:14[ __ ] this [ __ ] I got the biggest RAR movie of all time are they [ __ ] crazy
- 35:19I'm 50% more influential than MC Hammer Apostle Judas scariot the key is sento
- 35:2410% more influential than Barber Bush the Muppet's Bob newart 60% more
- 35:27influential than the iPhone 5 treed cheese and Dr Ruth 7% less influential
- 35:32than the Urban Dictionary don't [ __ ] with me don't [ __ ] with me get her alive
- 35:383% more than
- 35:43Wolverine is the best so yeah not happening sorry
- 35:49everybody the petition's there but it's uh it's not happening I think it's one of those
- 35:55silly petitions well clearly I'm actually I'm actually going to go
- 36:00out in the limb and say that every single petition ever is silly yeah you
- 36:03know when I was in high school we had to do a speech in English class uh
- 36:09protesting something yeah yeah and mine was a protest against protesting because
- 36:15I thought it was pointless yep yep that's great that's so mad that's the
- 36:18most Madam thing I've ever heard know so I did this yeah I wrote this uh speech
- 36:24about how I thought protesters were all wasting their time cu no one cares all
- 36:28it does is annoy everybody the protest is annoyed cuz he's annoyed about
- 36:31something anyway the people doing the thing that the protest is annoyed about
- 36:34they get annoyed or it just inconveniences everybody yeah and I got
- 36:38I got an A that's great cuz that could have gone either way yeah yeah yeah we
- 36:44got any other movie news I know we do there's a bunch of a couple of remakes
- 36:47that have been announced you want to take us through the spawn remake what
- 36:51the [ __ ] that's going to be yeah apparently Todd mcfallen the creator of
- 36:55sport has uh has written a new script for a new spawn film cuz the last one
- 37:00was so good that he thinks there should be another one oh come on the soundtrack
- 37:05for that movie was amazing yeah we we rewatched it the other day or the other
- 37:09week and uh I'll talk about in a minute but this new one he says he's finished
- 37:13the script and he's in the process of editing it's 185 pages and produces
- 37:16usually like 120 yeah I think it's going to end up being about hour too long yeah
- 37:21he is George he's not going with his first draft yeah it's good yeah yeah
- 37:25yeah yeah so he's hoping he can get it done as an R-rated film that's what's
- 37:30happening and he says if you take the Departed and mix it with Paranormal
- 37:33Activity something like that what interesting yeah he says his goal is to
- 37:39do something very different and unique with the character and what he says is
- 37:43in the background there's this thing moving around this boogeyman the
- 37:46boogeyman just happens to be something that you and I intellectually know is
- 37:50spawn will he look like he did in the first movie no will he have a super
- 37:54villain he fights no he's going to be a spectre the ghost so it's going to be a completely
- 38:00unrelated movie with spawn just occasionally appearing in the background
- 38:04I mean this is the guy that created Spawn so I mean [ __ ] if he wants
- 38:08whatever he wants to do I guess is fine like it's his his character it sounds
- 38:12interesting yeah mind you I'll say this if it's in the stage where he's writing
- 38:18a script that means we're at least 10 years off this being put into
- 38:23development like that doesn't mean this is happening as a movie now we rewatched
- 38:27the first one as I said Jenner and I rewatched it and it's great come on guys
- 38:33it's great you remember spawn remember going to the movies to see spawn I do
- 38:37man yeah it's I mean it's [ __ ] it is but it's but it's great so bad I actually
- 38:43tried to sit down and watch it probably a couple of months ago and I just I
- 38:46couldn't do it I hated it at the time I mean have you have you seen it recently
- 38:51Dan no I don't have any Nostalgia weird thing right someone's probably done a
- 38:55video for this and if I can find one I'll put in the show notes but it was
- 38:58when special effects films were first kind of taking off like computer
- 39:02generated effects I mean and like and this was considered the special effects
- 39:07film of of that year yeah but 19 such a
- 39:10mixed bag of of of stuff you've got some amazing stuff like I still think it
- 39:17looks great there's bits where he you know he's fighting violator there's some
- 39:20great shots there some you his cloak is is animated like his computer generated
- 39:26it looks fake is but it looks good but then you've got these whole sequences that
- 39:32take place in hell yeah and they're [ __ ] awful it's the worst CG remember
- 39:39that TV show reboot was like oh yes no it's just stuff like oh it's just very
- 39:45very early computer generated Graphics look I'm going to find a picture of Mal
- 39:51buer is the bad guy spawn and I'll paste the link to it in
- 39:56the show notes and you have a look at this and just tell me what you think
- 40:00this is Cutting Edge special effects right but it's not because there's some
- 40:04great great stuff in the film and then there's this why is he got two spiky
- 40:09dicks coming out of his head a it's so bad it's so strange why would you think
- 40:15that's the way to go where you could get a guy in a costume looking better it's
- 40:18such a mixed bag like special effects wise I mean other than that I mean this
- 40:23the story is a bit all over the place like it's still cool I enjoyed watching
- 40:27it it's not one of those actually we're having a conversation with somebody
- 40:29about this the other night have you ever noticed that a lot of the films that are
- 40:32considered the worst films of all time are actually still entertaining yeah
- 40:36plan n from out of space is still entertaining because it's so bad the
- 40:39room is is entertaining because it's so bad so mean they're not movies that you
- 40:43can watch by yourself I I would say they are even like they're still pretty funny
- 40:49but I mean does that not make them not the worst films isn't the worst film
- 40:53ever the film that you never want to watch again yeah cuz it just wasn't
- 40:57right just a film that you watched that was just like what that was nothing I
- 41:01feel I feel nothing you know isn't that worse sure I completely agree so bad
- 41:07it's good it's still good exactly exactly and spawn is that I think
- 41:12personally for me I I still enjoyed it it's Goofy and it's fun another film
- 41:15they're remaking that I don't quite understand is that they're remaking
- 41:19Cabin Fever yeah apparently it's out oh it is okay so here are some facts about
- 41:24the cabin fever remake number one it's produced by Eli Roth right right so
- 41:30that's weird that he would produce his own remake right right uh and number two
- 41:36they went straight off the original script right so I don't really
- 41:42understand why this is even happening at all see I think Sam Rey produced The
- 41:48Evil Dead remake but 40 years later yeah that's right like and it was different
- 41:54yeah yeah 40 years am i g is he not that that old it might it's 70s right yeah no
- 41:59no no 40 years yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah whereas cin fever came out in the '90s
- 42:03speak of Eli Roth I caught the first I didn't catch them I purposely tried to
- 42:09watch Hemlock Grove oh yeah have you seen werewolf one right yeah werewolf
- 42:16series I've heard mixed things about it it's like if the Twilight movies weren't
- 42:21as well acted scripted and the storytelling wasn't quite as good
- 42:27Jesus yeah that's scathing criticism I didn't have high hopes for this going in
- 42:34because I'm not like a massive Eli Roth fan like you know I don't like
- 42:38everything he does but no but but I was Keen to see what he had done and and and
- 42:42the first part of the first episode seemed pretty cool and I was like okay
- 42:47this is a little bit you know it's kind of like in a little town and something
- 42:51Supernatural is a little bit HP Lovecraft a little bit Neil gaming but
- 42:54it's also kind of violent so there's Rock input and this could be kind of
- 42:59good it's it's it's really [ __ ] it's it's really
- 43:04[ __ ] stopped needless to say I've stopped watching it that's a shame yeah
- 43:09oh guess what I watched an episode of Dan what's that you guess what have you
- 43:12been trying to get me to watch you better [ __ ] be talking about the Jinx
- 43:15I am talking about the Jinx what did you think I watched the first episode I'm
- 43:20I'm on board yeah yeah yeah keep going man keep going [ __ ] good good MADD good
- 43:27did you go to Italy to see this yep yeah I did yeah yeah I did of course I
- 43:32couldn't find it anywhere else no no no I had to watch it in Italy as well cuz
- 43:35it's a HBO and we just don't have access to HBO here that's right yeah yeah no
- 43:40I'm really really uh really interested it's got me it's hooked I'm interested
- 43:44because so far doesn't quite warrant as many episodes as there are so I'm
- 43:50interested to see where yeah interesting there's but there's considerably less
- 43:54episodes than something like oh no no no I'm just I'm interested to see where it
- 43:59goes yeah sure based on that you know what I mean because I'm like I see what
- 44:02you're saying this is interesting but I'm sure there must be more coming you
- 44:06know what I mean there is yeah okay I figured good boy Maddie good
- 44:12boy I I I haven't watched it no that's no no surprise there really though is
- 44:17there not really I'm watching the office at the moment are you which the UK or us
- 44:22us us one got pretty good after season one I like and then got a little
- 44:27tuned out again yeah it got old I actually watched uh just late at night
- 44:31and I just wanted something on so I just popped on popped on the Netflix a
- 44:36episode of office season 1 UK office oh yeah the one where they're getting the
- 44:41corporate training it's like it's the best 22 minutes of TV
- 44:46ever there's nothing not fun the guitar yeah when he get to the
- 44:50guitar yeah free love on the free love
- 44:54freeway it's so good there's been a rape
- 44:57up there got to get their attention so good he's such a [ __ ]
- 45:03idiot yeah genius yeah we've been watching uh rewat i' I've seen it before
- 45:09but we've been re-watching pen andella's [ __ ] oh yeah great great yeah cuz
- 45:13Jenna hasn't seen that before also we haven't spoken pen and Teller were at
- 45:17slam dance oh really they were yeah pen and tell had a film at slam dance as
- 45:22well this year so that was pretty cool in and of itself unfortunately their
- 45:26film premiered on the opening night and my plane was delayed and I didn't make
- 45:32it there in time I didn't get in until about 11:00 p.m. so I missed their film
- 45:37didn't get to see it that's uh but went along the next morning there was a
- 45:41breakfast with pen andella also got there late missed the
- 45:45breakfast [ __ ] but I did I did arrive just as it was disbanding and everyone
- 45:52was just kind of standing around chatting so I went up and stood next to
- 45:55Panella just to say that did cool right so I've stood next to pen andella I like
- 46:01those guys they're great yeah yeah I don't agree with everything they say I
- 46:07do like their politics of things yeah exactly qu question things I like I like
- 46:12yeah yeah and in fact question them as well question everything yeah and I I
- 46:17would think that they would also be perfectly happy for you to apply their
- 46:20philosophy to themselves and question everything that they say I mean they
- 46:24approach everything in that show cuz I mean for the listeners who don't know
- 46:28peniles [ __ ] is a show where they go around and they kind of
- 46:30debunk things uh you know like uh say
- 46:35bottled water or um ESP and alien abduction and stuff like that and they
- 46:40talk about you know why it's [ __ ] that's why the show's called [ __ ]
- 46:44but they do it from the perspective of pen is very libertarian and they're very
- 46:49much they're very much about the government staying out of things
- 46:53basically they think anybody should be able to do whatever they want as long as
- 46:55they're not harming anything else and they apply that to drug use and to to to
- 47:00anything literally anything right yeah and so I mean I don't always agree with
- 47:06with what they say as far as people being you know like legal just legalize
- 47:10everything and we'll sort it out like I don't necessarily agree with that no
- 47:14always but uh but that's not but the show is still very good questioning
- 47:19things is good one one thing uh that's odd you know as a as we talk I just type
- 47:24[ __ ] just to see what pops up so I'm I'm I'm on Penn's Wikipedia right now right
- 47:31I'll tell you why I looked him up in a sec but you know when you're in the
- 47:35table of contents of a Wikipedia page and you can just see it his early life
- 47:39career um and you know his his case um
- 47:43magic juggling these are all subheadings
- 47:47um number three is vintage nudes studio so I'm not going to tell you what
- 47:53it says under there I'm just going to let people Google that for themselves if
- 47:56they want the reason I looked up pen is because I wanted to see if it said
- 47:59anything in reference to something that I noticed about him when I saw him a
- 48:04couple of weeks ago is it his finger his his what his his red
- 48:08fingernail no you want to tell us about his red fingernail sure he has a
- 48:13fingernail if if you see them before ium he still does it he has one fingernail
- 48:17painted red because when he was younger and he was training to be a magician his
- 48:21mother said to him you should get a manicure because people will be looking
- 48:24at your hands yeah and as a joke he went and got them done all and like yeah
- 48:31exactly yeah and his mother passed away and so he keeps one finger red to
- 48:35remember her a a yeah right this is the finger I used to remember me
- 48:40[Laughter] Mom no it wasn't the red finger it was
- 48:46the fact that he is skinny as [ __ ] I'm
- 48:50hoping he's on a crash diet because if you ask me he looks like he's got
- 48:55something you know he wasn't uh he looks big massively tall as well yeah and if
- 49:01you look at even on episodes of [ __ ] and in the past I don't think he's as
- 49:05big as he seems to be sometimes that could be it dude I think he wears very
- 49:09baggy clothes in the past I look I laid eyes on him and I worried he looked sick
- 49:14okay he has lost a lot of weight recently I've seen him do talks and
- 49:17stuff he lot cuz he's a he's a very outspoken atheist as well and he's doing
- 49:20a lot of talks about that kind of stuff now so he's been in the news for that
- 49:22kind of thing and so I've seen him lately and he he definitely looks
- 49:26skinnier than he did before but he was never that big I think he just sure okay
- 49:30he has a big presence camera adds 20 okay look it says here that he's on an
- 49:35extreme low calorie diet so there you go I hope that is the case I hope he's just
- 49:39losing some weight yeah cuz uh I'll be upset if he had
- 49:44AIDS I'm might have to make a jingle about him one day yeah hopefully not for
- 49:48a long time hopefully not we went out the other night to they had a popup bar
- 49:53in Sydney these things are so popular now popup bars Sydney [ __ ] goes nuts
- 49:57for him and this one was of interest because it was uh it was Blade Runner
- 50:01theme the bar wasn't the main attraction they were screening Blade Runner and and
- 50:05the idea was they were going to try and recreate the the atmosphere of Blade
- 50:08Runner and so it turns out it was actually in a in a car park in Sydney if
- 50:11you know the Sydney it's on the corner of Goldin and Elizabeth streets the big
- 50:15car park there was up on the roof mhm so there huge line we had to line up
- 50:19because we didn't buy tickets they sold out within 15 minutes so we couldn't see
- 50:22the film all right where was the film being screened do you know the car parks
- 50:26kind of angled so you can you drive up and around and and spiral ever upwards
- 50:31the very upper section they put a whole bunch of chairs out and they had a big
- 50:36screen that they set up at the lower end of that and everybody had wireless
- 50:41headphones oh wow and that's where you watched it so we could see the film but
- 50:44we couldn't hear it sure yeah uh and then they had uh a big big kind of stall
- 50:50selling noodles which is appropriate I was like if they don't have noodles
- 50:52there it's that's so I bought some noodles uh and they had a bath as well
- 50:57which was just selling some drinks and stuff like that and it wasn't like I
- 51:00don't know it wasn't authentic I would say but it was fun it was good it was a
- 51:04fun time they had like laser lights and and you know like everything was red and
- 51:08blue and very neon and and blade runnery it was cool okay but the reason I
- 51:13mentioned that uh in particular is that now Blade Runner 2 has a release date
- 51:19well that's when [ __ ] great uh it is being released January
- 51:2512th 2018 it stars Ryan goling oh as the main
- 51:31character Harrison Ford will reprise his role as Rick Deckard Roger deacons as
- 51:36the cinematographer as in he's the cinematographer that's not a
- 51:40character and uh and and Ridley Scott is no longer directing it it's being
- 51:44directed by Dennis vov okay interesting director of a film called Cesario which
- 51:50I am not familiar oh I saw that I saw that on the plane the other day yeah
- 51:54okay cool wow okay well he he's directing the the new Blade Runner so
- 51:58yeah um Harrison Ford claims the script is the best thing he's ever read okay
- 52:04that's a good endorsement but he is now a bit of a crazy old man yeah well he is
- 52:09but also he refused to do a lot of films for a long time because he said
- 52:13everything was [ __ ] that's true so whether Star Wars has just lightened his
- 52:17mood immensely or or what I don't know I honestly think he's just getting ready
- 52:21to retire and he's just getting everything out the way that people have
- 52:25been hustling him about oh yeah yeah yeah it's going to be great it's going
- 52:28to be great I'll be dead soon that's not long at all 2018 yeah
- 52:33well I mean it's yeah it's like around two years yeah but uh I mean Blade
- 52:38Runner was just tell TR if they had said it was going to be 2020 or after I was
- 52:41going to go it's never going to happen I love Blade Runner but I love it
- 52:48because it's just so odd and interesting
- 52:52yeah yeah and I don't know that this will be the same I don't know how you
- 52:57recreate that feeling yeah in this in this day and age I don't know there's
- 53:02too much tension on it yeah I think for it to be the same as the old one because
- 53:07for a movie that's quite popular it's practically unwatchable you know like I
- 53:12mean it's it's very long it's very slow
- 53:15and it's its plot is very ambiguous like you couldn't make Blade Runner like it
- 53:21is if you made it today which concerns visually visually it's it was
- 53:26groundbreaking but it's not anymore sort of you know what I mean like although
- 53:31that is still my favorite kind of look for a movie yeah but other movies do
- 53:35that now so I mean if if it's just the same kind of thing I don't know that it
- 53:40would be interesting you can't you can't just ride a sci-fi movie and film it
- 53:43like a film Noir and have us think okay it's Blade Runner yeah like there's the
- 53:50magic of Blade people out there who think they like Blade Runner because cuz
- 53:55they like cyber expected to and sci-fi yeah people just like cyber Punk but no
- 54:01I I I don't know like I said the the Blade Runner is like about more than
- 54:07just that look it's about the yeah like I think ambiguity is a good word like
- 54:13there's no resolution at the end in a way no that's
- 54:19right look they've released a still so I've pasted it in here just down the
- 54:23bottom there if you guys want to have a it's look at that why can't I open it I can't
- 54:29open it let me have a
- 54:32look a that's mean he's is that did he
- 54:37look like that at one point I don't know maybe when he did his ankle after he
- 54:41crashed a plane too bad she won't live let him Falcon crush his leg yeah see
- 54:47that's what I mean like stuff like that like uh [ __ ] I can't remember that
- 54:49character's name but how like he speaks a different language made up language
- 54:54that they let the actor make up himself self and it's like you don't know what
- 54:58he's saying it's never explained what he's saying and then at the end he
- 55:01speaks English and you're like what does that mean yeah like great that's right
- 55:07and then Row's little poem at the end that wasn't even the script R R I might
- 55:11watch that again it's [ __ ] it's just so and you know what you know what it is
- 55:15you just have to sit and soak it in yeah that's right and like like r at the end
- 55:19there were film in the end of the film and he went to Ridley Scott and he said
- 55:21I've written a poem and I would like Roy to say it before for he dies and rley
- 55:27Scott Reddit went approved yeah I know and that's that's what's in the film and
- 55:32it seems like it fits perfectly because it's like beautiful poetic thing and it
- 55:36makes the film seem much deeper than yeah that's right I don't know if it's I
- 55:41don't know it's it's great but it's not it's not a modern film at all no all in
- 55:47fact it's like it's not even a film it's like somebody said there's an art
- 55:51gallery somewhere with lots of Blade Runner themed art
- 55:57and you can go and stand in it for 2 hours and and just take everything in
- 56:01and then leave do you know what it's like it's a little bit like a dream
- 56:05where that's fair within the context of what you're looking at stuff makes sense
- 56:09but like it doesn't always necessarily make 100% sense and it's like remember
- 56:14that film I I I think I lent you the DVD I've got it it's called Cash ear it's a
- 56:17Japanese film yeah and the film
- 56:21is uh supposed to be it's directed by a guy who who did a lot of music videos
- 56:26and stuff like that and it's all it's very Arty and it's like and and the
- 56:30premise of the film is that it's it's a dream about the end of the world and and
- 56:35it's literally what like I was just saying like everything you're watching
- 56:38makes sense within the context of that scene and then in the next
- 56:42scene things aren't necessarily going to be the same as they were like in a dream
- 56:46you know like in a dream yeah exactly right and then you just have to go with
- 56:49it yeah like in a dream things make sense right now but then when you wake
- 56:53up and you go well it doesn't that that plot doesn't make any sense yeah like
- 56:58but but if you just kind of go with it and ride take go with the ride it's fine
- 57:02yeah so yeah I don't know what my point is I just like a lot no I do too I
- 57:08absolutely love it I love it Hannah hasn't seen it so I think I'll might sit
- 57:12down with her later in the week Wonder seen it I might have to put it on as
- 57:16well I um Jenner and I did we used to do big movie Nights when we first started
- 57:20dating and uh we we watch a bunch of horror movies and stuff like that and at
- 57:25one point I was like we got to watch blade run we got to watch Blade Runner
- 57:27it was about 5: in the morning oh God and we've been up all night and uh and I
- 57:31put it on and it was like you know when you watch a film and you become
- 57:34painfully aware that the person you're watching with hates it no not
- 57:38necessarily that but I was just like I'm too tired to enjoy this right now
- 57:42there's no way someone who's never seen it is going to enjoy this yeah yeah it
- 57:47demands too much that's right do you know what I love about Blade Runner that
- 57:51is unintentional that just adds something to that whole what's really
- 57:56and what's not real aspect about the film and that's that Harrison Ford
- 58:01clearly hasn't the slightest bit of physical attraction to Shawn
- 58:06young yeah right like they they have sex
- 58:11scenes in this in which he looks like he couldn't be less interested in [ __ ]
- 58:16her yeah yeah he's just he doesn't expresses that much interest in her at
- 58:21any point that's right yeah it's it's interesting and that's purely lack of
- 58:26Chemistry Between the characters between the actors rather right right those
- 58:30actors just don't have it they just do not have the chemistry but they're both
- 58:34just beautiful looking people and putting them on screen next to each
- 58:37other should be enough and it isn't and it just adds this this odd layer to the
- 58:42film that's just really interesting yeah cuz they really didn't get along isn't
- 58:46that correct well I think she thought he was great and he thought she was a [ __ ]
- 58:50with he thought she was a prissy little [ __ ] uh in other science fiction news
- 58:54we should mention this before it's old news uh the original Star Wars as in the
- 58:5977 print from the cinema somebody managed to unearth a copy of it uh
- 59:05they've had it restored themselves they you know amongst themselves raised money
- 59:09and had it restored and they've put it up online so if you want to see either
- 59:13of you seen it yet no I haven't yet no no I haven't yet either but apparently
- 59:18you know it's got wats and all it's got the map lines around the ships and it's
- 59:21got you know no CG at all Han shoots first it's no shoot first it's grudo
- 59:27doesn't shoot yeah right that's a good point yeah I watched the desp
- 59:30specialized version a couple of weeks ago actually yeah but that is yeah we
- 59:34that is SD like it's not a particularly good version of the unchanged version
- 59:39well yeah this is a restored uh version of the 35 mil yeah so it should be
- 59:44really really high quality yeah it should be see I'd like to see just a a polished
- 59:49version like re-release like the original just made to look that a little
- 59:53bit nicer yeah yeah i' like that to be released and maybe hopefully with this
- 59:59version being out there and people loving it and wanting to see it Disney
- 1:00:02might go we can sell
- 1:00:06this yeah cuz I will buy it [ __ ] yeah so many people would I think I would
- 1:00:10struggle to watch like the original theater release now may I want it
- 1:00:15polished no changes just polished polished like a butt plug man is there
- 1:00:20any shy lauff news craen to
- 1:00:27sh sh there is some Shuff news uh there's
- 1:00:33two lots of it technically well you're referring also to the fact that shy
- 1:00:37abuff was live streaming his experience inside an elevator yesterday yeah
- 1:00:43apparently you could go and hang out with him in an elevator wasn't that for
- 1:00:46wasn't he there for like 24 hours yeah he was just hanging out in an elevator
- 1:00:51for 24 hours he's just you go hang out with him is he just bored is that what it is
- 1:00:56I don't know I think is he trying really really hard to be like deep and
- 1:01:02meaningful I I don't know I find weird I never he wasn't really much into the
- 1:01:07spotlight until he got he did that plagiarizing of that cartoon movie thing
- 1:01:12he did yeah and then he just went that [ __ ] crazy yeah he went Bonkers yeah
- 1:01:17well that theory that um what's the director of um infomaniac um L vria yeah
- 1:01:22LZ vria put him up to a lot of stuff cuz he's you know he's just baited him into
- 1:01:27it cuz he's he's a [ __ ] I would believe that yeah yeah and he said no if you
- 1:01:32want to be a true artist you've got to uh your whole life has to be a work of
- 1:01:35art yeah you've got to become unfamous yeah and so he did that's my
- 1:01:42German accent spot on I think you find yeah I think you'll find it spot on so
- 1:01:45he was doing that he was in an elevator live streaming and you could go
- 1:01:48apparently you could go and say hello I can't yeah I don't know but but that's
- 1:01:51not all that's not all no no there's uh there's some other [ __ ] and he's doing
- 1:01:56now which I don't really fully understand so there's a there's a
- 1:02:02documentary that's come out which is about Shai's
- 1:02:07uh touching the soul of everybody I don't know did he touch your soul
- 1:02:13couldn't feel him touching mine I mean he's definitely touched the souls of our
- 1:02:18listeners I think yeah yeah I mean you know if you if you go to the hasht touch
- 1:02:24my soul there a whole bunch of shy buff [ __ ] there uh what is this back in
- 1:02:30December so they you could call in I think is that what this is yeah I think
- 1:02:34it was like shff basically doing like a yeah exactly like if you were going to
- 1:02:38you know if you were fing down you maybe weren't loving life he could call
- 1:02:44in that how it worked did he touch our soul or did we touch his
- 1:02:49soul well you know what I don't know I mean I've read I've read the article but
- 1:02:55I haven't seen I'm reading it now and I still don't understand what he's it's fairly
- 1:02:59ambiguous yeah he um he invited anyone around the world to give them a call and
- 1:03:04touch a soul or two so it was live streamed uh it was 4
- 1:03:11days and so it seems like they had like a yeah like a ton you could call in and
- 1:03:17talk to them and touch people's Souls whatever that means
- 1:03:23yeah but he says the more we do this the less fear I have about the public what
- 1:03:28does that mean I don't know he scared of the public now yeah I don't know man so
- 1:03:33here's a picture of him during the ton uh getting a tattoo of the words you now
- 1:03:39wow which apparently were words that were uttered during the hasht touch my
- 1:03:44soul sessions okay ni he's an enigma well yeah I don't I don't really
- 1:03:49understand uh I don't really understand what shla Buffs up to no but I I respect
- 1:03:55that he's doing something and it amuses me um yeah it's pretty much what I want
- 1:03:59to know is yeah is there a way that we can cash in on all this attention I mean
- 1:04:06can we out art shy labuff is what I'm
- 1:04:09trying to say o wow I mean how do we out
- 1:04:13art shff I mean let's look at the stuff he's done he's sat in a gallery with a
- 1:04:19paper bag on his head that says I'm not famous and been bashed and raped because
- 1:04:24he's just let people do whatever they want to him Fu so weird I mean are you
- 1:04:29prepared to go further than that Matt it depends on what you mean
- 1:04:35like I probably I'll wear a paper bag yeah I don't want to be beaten and raped
- 1:04:39I'll wear a paper bag while someone beats and rapes Luke okay okay would you
- 1:04:43wear a paper bag while I beat and rape Luke all right is that is that what we
- 1:04:50because like obviously he's only one person but we can spread this out over
- 1:04:54the three of us yeah right tell you what I don't want to
- 1:04:59hurt Luke so let's just why don't you wear a paper bag on your head and beat
- 1:05:03off while I rape Luke just just to the audio of it I
- 1:05:07guess because you won't be able to see what's happening that makes sense and
- 1:05:11then I mean I don't know have you planned have you planned what's
- 1:05:14happening at your wedding fully Luke can we incorporate this no not yet there's
- 1:05:17still plenty of stuff open for that okay so we can incorporate some of this yeah
- 1:05:21yeah okay can we live stream your wedding sure would the listeners be
- 1:05:25interested if if you would be interested in watching Luke get married don't don't
- 1:05:29add one more [ __ ] frustrating thing for Luke to have to think about on his
- 1:05:34wedding day I don't have to think about it Matt if you want to handle it and
- 1:05:37sort it out you can't do it cuz you're busy
- 1:05:42Jenna we've got another job for you that's all for this week thank you
- 1:05:48for listening and we hope you enjoyed the show if you enjoyed it then please
