The 2026 Paddle to Nisqually Medicine Creek Potlatch Canoe Journey concluded with a vibrant celebration of Indigenous culture, as over ninety canoe families from across the Pacific Northwest gathered for the first time since 2016. Beginning with a ceremonial landing at Sunnyside Beach and guided by tradition, participants honored ancestral ways through songs, dances, prayers, and community feasts under a massive longhouse.
