- 1:09Speaker 3: the ice cam.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Yeah, they got the ice cam and the arena, little Caesars,
- 1:14Speaker 2: aps and rollies and so you know, like Atlanta they

- 1:31Speaker 2: is g herbal living a survivor living?
- 1:34Speaker 3: Yeah? Living? Living living. I'm tired of just surviving, surviving
- 1:39Speaker 3: my whole life for sure.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Every time I see you, man, the jury is just like, now,
- 1:45Speaker 2: educate me on these diamonds.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Brother, this is not fifty pointers. Those look like two
- 1:50Speaker 1: hundred pointers? Is there such thing?
- 1:52Speaker 3: I got a one fifty, I got one okay, yeah
- 1:55Speaker 3: that's the seas. One cares, Yeah, one cares and I
- 1:57Speaker 3: got two Cappo. Don't like errors, man, Yeah yeah yeah
- 2:02Speaker 3: yeah some change man.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Now are you done?
- 2:05Speaker 3: Jurry?
- 2:05Speaker 1: No, You're not done?
- 2:08Speaker 3: Yeah No, I love Jerry, Bro. I'm not gonna lie
- 2:10Speaker 3: to you like I'm rabb to buy my kids.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Jerry, even though they don't care about it, I'm.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Still doing it just because just man, you don't need
- 2:19Speaker 3: no more Jerry Man. You got about five chains on.
- 2:21Speaker 1: You update your Jerry's what you're saying, Yeah, that's what
- 2:23Speaker 1: I do.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Basically, I update it for real.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Because you're just the old ones because I think what
- 2:27Speaker 2: Infinity links is more popular than Now.
- 2:29Speaker 3: What does that mean? Update? Like you switched this? I
- 2:32Speaker 3: just switched my kids out. Yeah, Like you know what
- 2:34Speaker 3: I'm saying, I go back to the thing with Jerry
- 2:36Speaker 3: is like you switch it out and then you might
- 2:39Speaker 3: go back to the old kid if it's back and style.
- 2:41Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. But I'm I passed a
- 2:43Speaker 3: lot of my jury out too though, Like I'll be
- 2:45Speaker 3: turning the guys up, turning the hood I gave. I
- 2:49Speaker 3: didn't give away over five hundred thousand worth of Jerry
- 2:52Speaker 3: for sure, Damn damn sure.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Now, before we really get into our conversation, I do
- 2:58Speaker 2: want to talk about Chicago and how cold it gets
- 3:01Speaker 2: in Chicago on the winter. One time, for my boy
- 3:03Speaker 2: Devin Hester, you played for the Bears. I went to
- 3:05Speaker 2: high school with him, and I never forget we had
- 3:07Speaker 2: a game and he said, Nah, you gotta get your
- 3:11Speaker 2: clothes from Chicago because it's a different type of cold
- 3:15Speaker 2: over here. Can you explain how cold it really gets
- 3:18Speaker 2: in Chicago?
- 3:18Speaker 1: Because y'all right there about that lake because like and
- 3:21Speaker 1: all that other.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Stuff Lake Michigan, Lake mich Yeah, it freezes in Chicago,
- 3:25Speaker 3: and I grew up. I grew up about five blocks
- 3:31Speaker 3: away from Lake Michigan, so it was all the cold. Yeah,
- 3:36Speaker 3: yeah for sure. So I grew up five blocks away
- 3:38Speaker 3: from that, so I was always freezing walking to school.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Sometimes jackets don't even do nothing, because it's like you
- 3:46Speaker 3: gotta wear a long sleeve thermal like this is how
- 3:49Speaker 3: dressing the win. In Chicago. I wear thermal pants, the
- 3:53Speaker 3: long sleeve undershirt most likely a hoodie and then a
- 3:56Speaker 3: winter coat and scully or whatever like because ski mass
- 4:02Speaker 3: for sure, you need a ski mask, likelighty gloves because
- 4:06Speaker 3: like your hands get like almost frost. But it's it'sgo
- 4:11Speaker 3: like for sure. But Chicago be fun and the one
- 4:14Speaker 3: time too, so people still come outside freezing from outside
- 4:19Speaker 3: the front of the club. They dresses on and the cold
- 4:23Speaker 3: freezing like Chicago be fun though I'm not gonna get fun,
- 4:26Speaker 3: but it be cold as hell for sure, all right
- 4:29Speaker 3: below zero type of cold. I used to walk to
- 4:32Speaker 3: school like we used to sometimes, like you would still
- 4:35Speaker 3: have to go to school and blow zero weather sometimes
- 4:37Speaker 3: like they canceled school every now and then, but they
- 4:39Speaker 3: can't keep canceling it.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Because it's because and then y'all got this crazy stuff
- 4:44Speaker 2: where it's just piles of snow to the side because
- 4:47Speaker 2: it's just pushed to the side to side, and it
- 4:49Speaker 2: don't melt because it's so damn cold. It's just there,
- 4:52Speaker 2: like you know, like you know, it's just there, bro,
- 4:53Speaker 2: It's just a big pole.
- 4:55Speaker 3: The most snow I've seen in Chicago is like probably
- 5:01Speaker 3: like like six feet something like that. That's crazy. Six
- 5:04Speaker 3: feet going to school then yeah, I went outside though,
- 5:07Speaker 3: just to go play in it. All right.
- 5:09Speaker 2: So for those who don't know what part of Chicago is,
- 5:13Speaker 2: do you herb go from.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I'm from the east side of Chicago, Sat Ninth Street,
- 5:16Speaker 3: say Knife and Essex. That's the far east side, like
- 5:18Speaker 3: right off of by Lake Michigan.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Uh.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Kanye West grew up probably like five blocks away from
- 5:25Speaker 3: where I'm from. Yeah, he grew up myself. Your drift,
- 5:28Speaker 3: that's like fast six blocks away from my block.
- 5:32Speaker 2: How was you herbal growing up? Were you an athletic person?
- 5:35Speaker 2: Were you into sports heavily.
- 5:37Speaker 3: Or it was definitely into sports. I wouldn't say athletic though,
- 5:40Speaker 3: because I only played basketball, So I went like an
- 5:42Speaker 3: all around athlete, like I only played basketball. That was
- 5:46Speaker 3: my first love. So I played basketball my whole grammar
- 5:50Speaker 3: school career and going up into high school, I played
- 5:54Speaker 3: up until my sophomore. Yeah, so I played my freshman
- 5:57Speaker 3: year and then I got shot when I was a
- 5:59Speaker 3: freshman too, so like you know what I'm saying, kind
- 6:03Speaker 3: of change. You got shot as a freshman in high school.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, and that changed your way of like I
- 6:10Speaker 2: don't want to do sports no more.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Kind of yeah, like it kind of it kind of
- 6:15Speaker 3: made me lean more towards the streets after I got shot,
- 6:18Speaker 3: And like my coach was like, it's so crazy, Like
- 6:21Speaker 3: we had a coach where like I got shot when
- 6:25Speaker 3: a couple my homies got shot, and he kicked us
- 6:27Speaker 3: off the team, like he said, we was liabilities, you
- 6:29Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. And I mean I kind of
- 6:31Speaker 3: understood them because around that time, at that point, I
- 6:35Speaker 3: wasn't like fully focused and dedicated to basketball. Like it's
- 6:39Speaker 3: it's like a two way street, Like you know what
- 6:41Speaker 3: I'm saying. He kicked us out because we wasn't super
- 6:44Speaker 3: dedicated to basketball. But then you had those certain coaches
- 6:46Speaker 3: where like they pushed you, like they don't want you
- 6:48Speaker 3: to be in the streets. They ready to be playing
- 6:50Speaker 3: back even if you have way in. They ready to
- 6:52Speaker 3: just have you out of the streets. Like huh, you
- 6:55Speaker 3: stay on the team, you feel, But yeah, I was
- 6:57Speaker 3: forced off the team my freshman year going into my sophomore. Yeah,
- 7:00Speaker 3: like after I got shot, And at that point, I
- 7:03Speaker 3: was like I was in the streets all the way
- 7:05Speaker 3: for real. So I didn't even really care, like I
- 7:08Speaker 3: just like just lean more towards the streets. But on
- 7:12Speaker 3: the flip side, I was rapping, so that made me
- 7:14Speaker 3: focus more on music too. So you were rapping in
- 7:17Speaker 3: ninth grade too, Like, yeah, I was rapping already, So
- 7:19Speaker 3: he's rapping and doing basketball.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Got shot and it was like nah, but see, my
- 7:25Speaker 2: question to you is how does one stay out of
- 7:28Speaker 2: the streets in Chicago.
- 7:29Speaker 1: It's literally there.
- 7:31Speaker 3: It's tough, man. You got to be a real leader
- 7:33Speaker 3: man and have some discipline. Don't get me wrong. It's
- 7:35Speaker 3: it's people who do it. Like it's people I got,
- 7:38Speaker 3: like homies, family members who like, never been in the
- 7:41Speaker 3: streets for real. You feel what I'm saying, Like it
- 7:43Speaker 3: wasn't their thing, but come from that background, still live
- 7:46Speaker 3: in the same neighborhood, all went to school together. You
- 7:48Speaker 3: feel me, but just like tried something else like just
- 7:51Speaker 3: staying in their lane. You feel me. And honestly, those
- 7:55Speaker 3: like they they those are people who are the most respected.
- 7:59Speaker 3: For real, like you know what I'm saying, don't try
- 8:01Speaker 3: to like right now, the streets have changed though a
- 8:04Speaker 3: lot since I was really coming up for real, real,
- 8:07Speaker 3: the generation under me has changed significantly when it comes
- 8:11Speaker 3: to the streets and the rules and morals and things
- 8:13Speaker 3: that come with being in the streets. But like certain
- 8:16Speaker 3: guys is like no, I don't even I'm just gonna
- 8:19Speaker 3: hoop or do this or go to school or whatever
- 8:22Speaker 3: the case. Like those the guys that was like you know,
- 8:25Speaker 3: kept protecting like oh yeah, bro, along he's doing him doing.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Now what is wait? Wait, we gotta go to commercials.
- 8:32Speaker 2: We gotta go to commercials. You know, we are on television.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Herbo's in the Build a Revolt TV ball Or show
- 8:37Speaker 2: right back.
- 8:38Speaker 4: Welcome back to Revolte TV right here with the Ball
- 8:41Speaker 4: Alert show. Now we was just talking about you said
- 8:45Speaker 4: there are people in Chicago that's that's not in the
- 8:47Speaker 4: streets that's avoided being in the streets.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Now.
- 8:49Speaker 4: You also talked about, uh, the generation that you had
- 8:52Speaker 4: coming up versus the generation now.
- 8:54Speaker 3: What do you see the difference? It's like chaos, like
- 9:00Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, no real guidance, don't get
- 9:02Speaker 3: me wrong, like talking about yours. No the generation like,
- 9:07Speaker 3: don't get me wrong me coming up, like we didn't
- 9:09Speaker 3: really have no big homies for real. I'm not gonna
- 9:11Speaker 3: lie like I didn't have big homies my generation that
- 9:13Speaker 3: really like showed us the ropes, but we had older
- 9:16Speaker 3: guys that we looked up to and that treated us
- 9:19Speaker 3: equally like leaders, you know what I'm saying. So it's
- 9:22Speaker 3: like we seeing what they were doing and kind of
- 9:25Speaker 3: like mimic what they did, Like you know what I'm saying,
- 9:28Speaker 3: How they got money, how they took care of their family,
- 9:31Speaker 3: and certain shit like that, you know what I'm saying,
- 9:32Speaker 3: Certain stuff like that. Excuse me. But like the generation now,
- 9:38Speaker 3: they don't have no big homies, no guid It's nobody
- 9:41Speaker 3: want to be like you know what I'm saying, Like
- 9:43Speaker 3: all they want to do is be like savages for real,
- 9:46Speaker 3: Like you know what I'm saying, I don't even think,
- 9:47Speaker 3: don't get me wrong. And the internet is like, yeah,
- 9:52Speaker 3: it plays of it make it way worse to play
- 9:55Speaker 3: a big part of that. And what I mean by
- 9:56Speaker 3: that is like they want to get money because they
- 9:59Speaker 3: see it on the internet, but they don't know how
- 10:00Speaker 3: to get the money. They don't have no hustle. They
- 10:02Speaker 3: want to rob, they want to take, they want to kill,
- 10:04Speaker 3: they want to steal, they want to finest. They don't
- 10:06Speaker 3: have no real hustle. You feel what I'm saying, Like
- 10:08Speaker 3: what I see in the generation under me, Like these
- 10:11Speaker 3: kids don't get up in a hustle Like me, We
- 10:13Speaker 3: was hustling, bri I ain't gonna lie Like when I
- 10:15Speaker 3: was fifteen, It like we was trapping for real, for real.
- 10:18Speaker 3: And on top of that, when I started making money
- 10:21Speaker 3: in music, it's like I had a double bubble. So
- 10:23Speaker 3: it's like all everybody around me wanted to get some money.
- 10:26Speaker 3: You feel me, Like we wanted to dress, fly, we
- 10:28Speaker 3: want to have cars. Like I don't see that with
- 10:31Speaker 3: the next genera, the generation like right now with these kids,
- 10:34Speaker 3: like they're not trying to save up and go back
- 10:37Speaker 3: how with they first ten thousand, Like you know what
- 10:38Speaker 3: I'm saying, I see them get their first couple thousand dollars,
- 10:41Speaker 3: they blowing it, getting high by and all type of
- 10:45Speaker 3: unnecessary stuff. You know what I'm saying, guns or whatever
- 10:47Speaker 3: the case may be, like, and it's definitely the internet,
- 10:51Speaker 3: like one thousand percent, because they got this perception of
- 10:56Speaker 3: that's what makes them hot, that's what makes them cool.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Like if you on the rap, ain't gonna say you
- 11:01Speaker 3: not even you can't even be a real street raper
- 11:03Speaker 3: unless you kill somebody. That was never really the case
- 11:06Speaker 3: when we was coming up. You feel what I'm saying,
- 11:07Speaker 3: like we like, don't get me wrong, people was in
- 11:10Speaker 3: the streets. You did what you did, but it wasn't
- 11:12Speaker 3: forced upon you, like you know what I'm saying, It
- 11:15Speaker 3: wasn't the requirement. Wasn't the requirement to be a rap
- 11:17Speaker 3: or be you know what I'm saying. You had dudes
- 11:19Speaker 3: who rapped, who was just cool, who had task to
- 11:21Speaker 3: the streets, who just got money, who messed with all
- 11:25Speaker 3: the fly chicks and all of that. You know what
- 11:26Speaker 3: I'm saying, Like now the requirement is you have to
- 11:29Speaker 3: be a crash out for real, Like how you feel
- 11:31Speaker 3: like you're gonna be able to rap and get some
- 11:33Speaker 3: money and take care of your family. If you're outside
- 11:35Speaker 3: spending like it don't really make sense. You gotta choose one.
- 11:39Speaker 3: You can't really be one for the in, one for out,
- 11:41Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. And I learned that the
- 11:42Speaker 3: hard way because I had one foot in one for that,
- 11:45Speaker 3: And it got to a point in my life where
- 11:47Speaker 3: it was like I gotta like focus and just go
- 11:51Speaker 3: and put my time and dedication and all my energy
- 11:56Speaker 3: solely into rap m a dial go to jail. Like
- 11:59Speaker 3: I really felt like that.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I was that was gonna be my next question. Did
- 12:02Speaker 2: anything happen to make you feel that way? Like, Damn,
- 12:06Speaker 2: I can't have one foot in one foot out?
- 12:08Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure. Like I got into it like a
- 12:10Speaker 3: real incident where like I could have lost my life,
- 12:13Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. I could have lost my life.
- 12:15Speaker 3: I could have ended up in jail anything, you know
- 12:17Speaker 3: what I'm saying. And I just was like, man, it
- 12:21Speaker 3: ain't worth it, you know what I'm saying. And I
- 12:23Speaker 3: had already had some success, you know, I had already
- 12:26Speaker 3: bought my mama mansion and all kinds of stuff you
- 12:28Speaker 3: feel me like, and it was just a matter of
- 12:31Speaker 3: like putting yourself in harm's way in that environment. Still
- 12:35Speaker 3: going back to my neighborhood every day, you feel I'm saying,
- 12:37Speaker 3: you got to look over it.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Did you feel like you had to do that?
- 12:40Speaker 3: Though? Yeah, I did. I definitely felt like I had
- 12:42Speaker 3: to do that, Like I felt like it was an obligation,
- 12:44Speaker 3: Like I had to be the one from my neighborhood
- 12:48Speaker 3: in the streets really living what I wrapped about, really
- 12:51Speaker 3: taking care of everybody around me because I heard that
- 12:56Speaker 3: respect already, or I had that image. Whereas like all right, bet,
- 12:59Speaker 3: yeah this heard this is neighborhood, and he the one
- 13:03Speaker 3: that's putting on for us hood. So you got to
- 13:05Speaker 3: be in the mix of that. And it's like nobody
- 13:08Speaker 3: never told me to do anything other than that, you
- 13:10Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, Like nobody told me otherwise, Like
- 13:12Speaker 3: get from out here, surety, Like ain't nothing out here
- 13:15Speaker 3: but death of jail. Like you know what I'm saying,
- 13:17Speaker 3: You have to learn that inviting me to it, like
- 13:19Speaker 3: come outside where you at? You know what I'm saying.
- 13:21Speaker 3: It's like I had to really learn that, and I
- 13:23Speaker 3: had to separate myself from a lot of people too, though,
- 13:25Speaker 3: Like I had to cut ties with a lot of
- 13:27Speaker 3: my closest friends, you know what I'm saying, And that
- 13:29Speaker 3: didn't like the love was always done. It don't mean
- 13:32Speaker 3: like I don't rock with y'all no more. But I
- 13:34Speaker 3: had to try something different, like I needed new, a
- 13:38Speaker 3: whole totally new group of friends everything. You know what
- 13:43Speaker 3: I'm saying, Like I just had to switch it all up,
- 13:45Speaker 3: You feel what I'm saying, because I wanted different results,
- 13:48Speaker 3: couldn't keep doing the same thing I want. You know
- 13:50Speaker 3: what I'm saying, different results, You're gonna get the same results.
- 13:52Speaker 3: So it's like I stopped asking for a lot of
- 13:54Speaker 3: my homies. I stopped getting the cars with them, like
- 13:57Speaker 3: I just and I didn't have the answers though I
- 14:00Speaker 3: didn't have it figured out, Like I was stretched out
- 14:02Speaker 3: because I felt like I was leaving a lot of
- 14:03Speaker 3: people who I cared about behind. I didn't know what
- 14:06Speaker 3: my next move was gonna be. You feel I'm saying
- 14:08Speaker 3: like I wasn't going outside, so I wasn't really making
- 14:10Speaker 3: no money because I was still trying to hustle and
- 14:12Speaker 3: do a little certain stuff. Like I wasn't making no money.
- 14:14Speaker 3: I was just sitting in the house just figuring out
- 14:16Speaker 3: my next move, like, man, I need to just like
- 14:21Speaker 3: just focus on rap. You feel me and like and
- 14:24Speaker 3: that's what made like, that's how my first my debut album,
- 14:27Speaker 3: Humble Beast came about because I just went to the
- 14:30Speaker 3: studio and I was just speaking all of like the
- 14:35Speaker 3: all I was just being vulnerable, speaking about all my
- 14:38Speaker 3: emotions and everything I went through, the things I was
- 14:40Speaker 3: going through with my closest friends and leaving the streets
- 14:44Speaker 3: and you know, near death experiences and all that kind
- 14:47Speaker 3: of stuff. I put it into that music. And that's
- 14:50Speaker 3: how you know, I put into that album, And that's
- 14:52Speaker 3: how Humble Beasts came about. Like I was going through
- 14:54Speaker 3: all of that around that time.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Now, do you feel like that create new enemies when
- 14:59Speaker 4: you you were in a position like that and you
- 15:01Speaker 4: gotta tell your friends, like man, I can't be around y'all.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Absolutely, and especially when and that's those situations and I
- 15:08Speaker 3: give you one better, I feel like they don't even
- 15:10Speaker 3: create new enemies. It revealed those old ones. It revealed
- 15:15Speaker 3: the people who was always enemies in the first place.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Because the people who was in my corner or if
- 15:20Speaker 3: you were in my corner, are if you are still
- 15:22Speaker 3: in my corner. You gonna want what's best for me,
- 15:25Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. So, like when people started
- 15:27Speaker 3: to reveal like their true colors, and I saw the
- 15:30Speaker 3: envy come out and stuff like that, Like I didn't
- 15:33Speaker 3: take it for granted. I didn't ignore it or anything
- 15:35Speaker 3: like that. You know, I removed those people around me
- 15:38Speaker 3: from around me because where I come from, like I
- 15:41Speaker 3: know the ins and outs of the streets. That's how
- 15:43Speaker 3: you end up killed, you know what I'm saying. That's
- 15:44Speaker 3: how somebody will really take your life because it's somebody
- 15:47Speaker 3: that you trust and you grew up with and you're
- 15:49Speaker 3: thinking like, oh yeah, no, it's cool. Or he tripping
- 15:52Speaker 3: like you getting into certain situations. Nigga mad at you. You
- 15:54Speaker 3: bought a new chain, you bought a new car, Nigga
- 15:57Speaker 3: mad at you, Like, man, you're doing this and I
- 15:58Speaker 3: got this, I got these and I'm messed up in
- 16:01Speaker 3: my family this like everybody got problems. And it's like
- 16:04Speaker 3: you or do something and it's never enough. It's never enough.
- 16:06Speaker 3: It's never enough, and you feel obligated to those people
- 16:10Speaker 3: and they keep pulling from you, and it just take
- 16:11Speaker 3: one mistake where they just feel like you know what
- 16:14Speaker 3: I'm saying. They just you know, people really like I
- 16:18Speaker 3: feel with envy, like I never had that problem, Like
- 16:21Speaker 3: I never hated on anybody before, Like even when I
- 16:23Speaker 3: was broke, I never wanted with nobody head like I
- 16:26Speaker 3: always knew what was for me. And a lot of
- 16:27Speaker 3: people could say that and not really mean it. You
- 16:30Speaker 3: feel what I'm saying, like I never hated on nobody,
- 16:33Speaker 3: and I think that's why I'm blessed because I always
- 16:35Speaker 3: gave people opportunities even when I ain't, like wasn't in
- 16:39Speaker 3: my best You feel what I'm saying, like I always just
- 16:42Speaker 3: I never was a gatekeeper or anything like that. Like
- 16:45Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. I never put people in
- 16:47Speaker 3: positions where they done made more money than me in
- 16:50Speaker 3: certain cases. You fee what I'm saying. But I just
- 16:51Speaker 3: did that off the loove, you know what I'm saying.
- 16:53Speaker 3: So it's like other people who don't really feel like that,
- 16:56Speaker 3: and they see you doing something, they'll really try to
- 16:58Speaker 3: kill you for really for real real.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Well, let's go to commercial g Herbals in the building.
- 17:03Speaker 2: This is a great conversation. It's great Baller show on.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Revolt, and we are back right here with the Ball
- 17:09Speaker 4: Alert show right here on Revot TV.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Man, we having a great conversation de Herbal in the building.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Yeah, g Herbal's in the building.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Man, Now with the music, right, Do you feel like
- 17:21Speaker 4: music saved your life from getting out of Chicago?
- 17:25Speaker 3: Yeah, definitely, Man, Like I believe in like passion and
- 17:29Speaker 3: purpose as well. Like I really feel like my real
- 17:32Speaker 3: purpose and me fulfilling my destiny on this earth is
- 17:36Speaker 3: doing this, doing what I'm doing because not only am
- 17:38Speaker 3: I changing my life and my family's life through music,
- 17:42Speaker 3: I'm changing other people's lives. And I'm spreading like knowledge
- 17:48Speaker 3: to generation of kids or generation of anybody who's listening
- 17:52Speaker 3: on how to get out of poverty. You know what
- 17:55Speaker 3: I'm saying, Like, you don't got to be a rapper.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Whatever it is, whatever you feel your passion is or
- 18:00Speaker 3: your purpose is on this earth, you chase that no
- 18:03Speaker 3: matter what, like and the most uncomfortable situations, whatever it is.
- 18:07Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, You lean towards those fears,
- 18:09Speaker 3: and that's how you change turn a bad situation into
- 18:13Speaker 3: a good situation. You feel I'm saying it's possible. If
- 18:15Speaker 3: I did it, anybody could do it. You know what
- 18:17Speaker 3: I'm saying. So I definitely feel like music changed my life,
- 18:20Speaker 3: because when I started doing it, I was only rapping
- 18:23Speaker 3: about the streets, losing my homies, seeing people get killed, murders,
- 18:28Speaker 3: stuff like that. You feel what I'm saying and talking
- 18:31Speaker 3: about how I wanted to get out, you know what
- 18:33Speaker 3: I'm saying. And the best thing about it is like
- 18:38Speaker 3: my supporters or anybody who just tuned in, you could
- 18:41Speaker 3: see that entire journey, like where I talked about where
- 18:44Speaker 3: I wanted to be in five years and then five
- 18:46Speaker 3: years later now, so now I'm talking about where I
- 18:49Speaker 3: want to be in the next five ten years. And
- 18:50Speaker 3: then it's like just time and time like it's gonna
- 18:53Speaker 3: it's gonna go time pass you by quick, bro. Like
- 18:59Speaker 3: I've been doing it for then in fifteen years, bro,
- 19:01Speaker 3: and it's like I'm only twenty nine years old. I'm
- 19:03Speaker 3: still young, Like I'm about to be thirty this year,
- 19:05Speaker 3: and I got ten plus years last Skin in the
- 19:08Speaker 3: game shows like that's what, Like, That's why I'm always
- 19:11Speaker 3: like humble, and I know I'm blessed, and I always
- 19:14Speaker 3: appreciate the little things, and it's like I just try
- 19:16Speaker 3: to just get better day by day you know what
- 19:18Speaker 3: I'm saying, So, like, if it wont for music, Bro,
- 19:21Speaker 3: I don't really know why I'd be to be honest.
- 19:24Speaker 2: One time, for Ron deaf Jam, he told us he
- 19:26Speaker 2: was like, man, we got g Herbert. I was like, hell, yeah,
- 19:28Speaker 2: we gotta get him here. Because one thing that BT
- 19:30Speaker 2: and I do we give people they flowers. I want
- 19:33Speaker 2: to give your flowers, man, because you are definitely necessary
- 19:37Speaker 2: to the culture. Your fans are crazy. They love your
- 19:41Speaker 2: ass off God damn too. And I personally, like I
- 19:46Speaker 2: told you in Detroit anytime I see you, you're a
- 19:48Speaker 2: dope dad.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Bro, appreciate that.
- 19:50Speaker 1: It's very difficult.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Yeah, super to do what what we do.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Schedule crazy, you get a call, you got to have this,
- 19:58Speaker 2: get this money.
- 19:59Speaker 1: You gotta be your dad being a dad.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I literally told you in private, like that's probably one
- 20:05Speaker 2: of the hardest jobs ever for being present for your kids.
- 20:08Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 20:08Speaker 2: So, I just wanted to give your flowers on dad
- 20:10Speaker 2: can also tell you you're a dope dad. Now I want
- 20:14Speaker 2: to talk about what are like some challenges of.
- 20:17Speaker 3: G herbal the dad challenges communication for real, like you know,
- 20:22Speaker 3: especially with my oldest like yo, soign. He's starting to
- 20:25Speaker 3: ask questions how old is he now? He's seven? Yeah,
- 20:27Speaker 3: he's starting to ask questions, like asking me like if
- 20:30Speaker 3: I've been arrested, what I've been arrested for. But he's
- 20:33Speaker 3: asking these questions because he got access to the internet,
- 20:36Speaker 3: stuff like he's seen mugshots and stuff like that. You
- 20:40Speaker 3: feel me. It's like, you know, it's it's kind of
- 20:43Speaker 3: tough because you don't want to like spring so much
- 20:45Speaker 3: on them at such an early age. You only seven,
- 20:48Speaker 3: but you don't want them to be naive either, Like
- 20:50Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, So you got a fan
- 20:52Speaker 3: a line where it's like you could be transparent with
- 20:55Speaker 3: your kids and not exposing to too much, you feel
- 20:58Speaker 3: what I'm saying. So that's like something I been really
- 21:00Speaker 3: dealing with lately. And you know the thing with me though,
- 21:04Speaker 3: like I feel like what makes me a good father,
- 21:07Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, is like being a father,
- 21:09Speaker 3: you know, like it's never we never got the formula,
- 21:13Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, Like there is no correct
- 21:15Speaker 3: way to do it for really, you know what I'm saying,
- 21:18Speaker 3: It's just time, Like you gotta spend time where you
- 21:21Speaker 3: know your kids and you getting to know your kids
- 21:24Speaker 3: and they understand you as well, where it's like they
- 21:26Speaker 3: comfortable talking to you, They comfortable and confiding in you.
- 21:30Speaker 3: They comfortable and you be in that safe space, you
- 21:33Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, Like no matter what, Like if
- 21:35Speaker 3: I'm in the house and something that's going on, my
- 21:38Speaker 3: kids hurt theirself stuff, they told whatever, they gonna come
- 21:40Speaker 3: look for me, like daddy, Like I'm the comfort, you
- 21:43Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. Like of course they get that
- 21:46Speaker 3: in their mom too, but it's just like something different
- 21:48Speaker 3: about you know what I'm saying. When you got the
- 21:50Speaker 3: comfort or your father, you feel protected, you know, And
- 21:53Speaker 3: I get them there, you know what I'm saying. I
- 21:55Speaker 3: definitely get them that. And the thing with me is
- 21:57Speaker 3: like the little things. I don't care if it's hour,
- 22:00Speaker 3: if it's thirty minutes, two hours, four hours, a whole day.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Anytime that I spend with my kids, it's like a blessing.
- 22:06Speaker 3: I enjoy that time and I make the most of it,
- 22:09Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. So it's like I'm the
- 22:11Speaker 3: fun parent, don't get me wrong. Like I'm definitely the
- 22:13Speaker 3: fun parent. You want to look the other way when
- 22:16Speaker 3: when they get something like you go get that. Yeah,
- 22:18Speaker 3: for sure, I'm definitely that, Like go on here, rock out,
- 22:21Speaker 3: get the cookies, get the snacks, get the junk feed.
- 22:24Speaker 3: We could watch TV the three in the morning. That's me,
- 22:29Speaker 3: Like you know what I'm saying. My girl, she putting
- 22:31Speaker 3: them down early. They're going to sleep at nine o'clock
- 22:33Speaker 3: with her, Like with me, were up to chilling, kicking
- 22:37Speaker 3: and chilling, like going to the jumpy house the next day.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Like you know what I'm saying. I do all of
- 22:41Speaker 3: that with my kids and it comes from like that
- 22:44Speaker 3: foundation that my dad gave me two though, Like my
- 22:46Speaker 3: dad has been that my entire life, you know what
- 22:49Speaker 3: I'm saying him and my mom.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Was still saying that because some people don't have a
- 22:53Speaker 2: dad to say that.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Dad was right, right, And it's like my dad didn't
- 22:58Speaker 3: always have the money and the resource, but he had
- 23:00Speaker 3: the time he was dead, so whatever. It was. Like
- 23:04Speaker 3: my dad he did construction and stuff like that when
- 23:06Speaker 3: I was younger, you know, he had bought properties and stuff.
- 23:09Speaker 3: So he was just like taking me to work with him.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Like I really wasn't supposed to be in the environment.
- 23:13Speaker 3: It was dangerous, like they drilling sh sowing and laying
- 23:18Speaker 3: brick and all this type of stuff. But he got
- 23:20Speaker 3: me around just because like he just wanted me around,
- 23:23Speaker 3: you feel me. So like now that goes like it
- 23:26Speaker 3: kind of transfer over to with my kids, Like the
- 23:29Speaker 3: studio that's probably not like an environment for a real babies,
- 23:33Speaker 3: for a seven year old. Your son is a rapper now, yeah, yeah,
- 23:39Speaker 3: but I always and I make a kid friendly, don't
- 23:41Speaker 3: get me wrong, but it's like, yeah, I have my
- 23:43Speaker 3: kids in the studio with me. O sign been in
- 23:45Speaker 3: the studio with me till three in the morning since
- 23:48Speaker 3: he was a toddler. Bro, you know what I'm saying.
- 23:51Speaker 3: It's like I'm not really realizing, like you know, I'm
- 23:53Speaker 3: just like, all right, I got my son with me
- 23:55Speaker 3: in the studio thugging, but he's watching me record, he
- 23:57Speaker 3: watching me do this. So that's probably why he had
- 24:00Speaker 3: inspiracious like all right, I'm gonna be a rapper one
- 24:02Speaker 3: day in the back of his mind, you feel I'm saying.
- 24:03Speaker 3: So when he got the confidence to like, I don't
- 24:06Speaker 3: finna rap, I'm gonna do it, I just supported it
- 24:08Speaker 3: for real, like you know what I'm saying, Like regardless,
- 24:10Speaker 3: and it sound fire like even if even if he
- 24:13Speaker 3: didn't sound good, you know what I'm saying, I would
- 24:16Speaker 3: still support him and I would help him make it.
- 24:19Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. Register over to people, would
- 24:21Speaker 3: it sound good? You know what I'm saying. That's your
- 24:22Speaker 3: job as a father to pour whatever you have into
- 24:25Speaker 3: your kids. You know what I'm saying. It's like, Bro,
- 24:28Speaker 3: it's I feel like nothing about me or no quality
- 24:33Speaker 3: that I have is like more powerful or more special
- 24:37Speaker 3: than being a father. Like no matter how good I rap,
- 24:40Speaker 3: or how much money I get or had anything or
- 24:43Speaker 3: jury or nothing, like, nothing stand out about me more
- 24:47Speaker 3: than being at that. You know what I'm saying. It's like,
- 24:49Speaker 3: I appreciate that.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Though, appreciate that, my guy.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Let's go to commercial. When we come back.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Gee Herbal on the building right here on the Ball
- 24:56Speaker 2: Alert Show brought to you by Revolt.
- 24:59Speaker 4: And we are right here with the bottle of her
- 25:01Speaker 4: show on Revolt TV.
- 25:03Speaker 3: G herbals in the bill.
- 25:04Speaker 1: We have a dope ass conversation. Wait, first and foremost, where'd.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Your name come from? That's crazy? Like really, to be honest, bro,
- 25:13Speaker 3: I ain't know how to come up with a rap name. Okay,
- 25:18Speaker 3: nickname was already Herbie because my real government name is Herbert. Okay,
- 25:23Speaker 3: so it's like little Herb. It came from my dad
- 25:26Speaker 3: was big Herd. You know what I'm saying. My dad
- 25:28Speaker 3: named Herbert, my grandfather named Herbert. Like I'm the third
- 25:31Speaker 3: generation Herbert got it. So I ain't know how to
- 25:34Speaker 3: come up with no rap name. So I'm just like,
- 25:37Speaker 3: look Herd, you feel me? Like, okay, just like that.
- 25:40Speaker 3: To be honest, my first rap name it wasn't gonna
- 25:44Speaker 3: work like it was Little Heron. Yeah, it was like
- 25:52Speaker 3: who is Who's a little Heroin? Like you know what
- 25:54Speaker 3: I'm saying. But it came from my homies, them in
- 25:57Speaker 3: the hood. They trapping. They like, sure you spending dope
- 25:59Speaker 3: like he Ron, like flow dope, like you know what
- 26:02Speaker 3: I'm saying. So that's where it came from. My very
- 26:04Speaker 3: first video its said little Heron and the title Wait,
- 26:09Speaker 3: who told you to change it? Who said he? This
- 26:11Speaker 3: ain't gonna work? Uh? Mickey Yeah, Mickey Houstin was just
- 26:15Speaker 3: like man, little Heron, Bro, that's crazy, bro, Like it
- 26:19Speaker 3: can't be your name for real, you know what I'm saying.
- 26:21Speaker 3: So just changed it to little Herb and just from
- 26:26Speaker 3: there it came g Herbal, my homie, my homie real,
- 26:29Speaker 3: the same guy who named me little Heron, my big homie,
- 26:32Speaker 3: one of my older homies from the hood. He he
- 26:35Speaker 3: was like, man, you ain't a little no more like you,
- 26:38Speaker 3: g Herbal. Like you you move like a young general,
- 26:41Speaker 3: like you're a leader like U. G Herbal, Like take
- 26:44Speaker 3: that little off your name. You know what I'm saying.
- 26:45Speaker 3: So it went from that to g Herbal and I
- 26:47Speaker 3: just ran with it like that, you know, Bro gave
- 26:49Speaker 3: me that stamp. I ran with it literally and swerves
- 26:52Speaker 3: SWERVEO came from my homie walk we call like plays
- 26:57Speaker 3: like when you bust some plays in the hood, like swerves.
- 27:00Speaker 3: And I was I was like, probably was like eighteen
- 27:02Speaker 3: at the time or something like that. And he like, Bro,
- 27:06Speaker 3: he's making a lot of swerves, Like I'm a gonna
- 27:08Speaker 3: start calling you swerve over, like making a lot of
- 27:11Speaker 3: swerves right now, Like I was, you know what I'm saying,
- 27:13Speaker 3: making plays, I got bad coming in back in after
- 27:16Speaker 3: back end, you feel what I'm saying. He like, man,
- 27:18Speaker 3: I'm about to start calling you swerve And I just
- 27:20Speaker 3: ran with it all right.
- 27:22Speaker 2: So as your music starts blowing up when does g
- 27:25Speaker 2: Herbal realize Damn, I can't just go anywhere anymore. Like
- 27:29Speaker 2: when did that realization happen?
- 27:32Speaker 3: You can remember? I do remember it was right right
- 27:35Speaker 3: before my son was born. Man, Like I was still
- 27:38Speaker 3: living in Chicago, and of course I had already had
- 27:42Speaker 3: some success by the time. You know, my son was born.
- 27:44Speaker 3: This is twenty eighteen he was born, so maybe twenty seventeen.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Around that time, Like I was still living in Chicago,
- 27:53Speaker 3: driving my own cars, driving around by myself. I ain't
- 27:56Speaker 3: had like I didn't have twenty four to seven secure,
- 28:00Speaker 3: like right now, I got my own security on staff,
- 28:02Speaker 3: like twenty four seven three sixty five, no matter what
- 28:05Speaker 3: I'm doing day that you feel me like this is
- 28:07Speaker 3: before I even like I wasn't efficient when it came
- 28:11Speaker 3: to that. I didn't even had a mental capacity to
- 28:14Speaker 3: be like I need to have security with me at
- 28:16Speaker 3: where I go. You feel me like I was in
- 28:17Speaker 3: the streets, just transitioning out of the streets, and it's
- 28:21Speaker 3: like I still hear that mentality like, oh, I'm good,
- 28:23Speaker 3: I'm just gonna bring my gun here where I go.
- 28:24Speaker 3: You fee what I'm saying, Like that's how I used
- 28:26Speaker 3: to think, and I got into a situation where I
- 28:30Speaker 3: got arrested right before my son was born, and I
- 28:34Speaker 3: stuck and I sat in the county jail for like
- 28:37Speaker 3: a week or something like that, and I couldn't like
- 28:39Speaker 3: I bonded out. They didn't let me out, you feel me.
- 28:42Speaker 3: And I'm like, I gotta stop moving like this, bro,
- 28:45Speaker 3: you feel what I'm saying, Like, cause I would still
- 28:47Speaker 3: go to random spots, go to gas station, go through this, go.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Through dam You would go to the random gas station.
- 28:52Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I go to a random gas station downtown,
- 28:57Speaker 3: hop out, get the gas. I probably pay like a
- 29:00Speaker 3: old head to pump my gas, but I'll still go
- 29:02Speaker 3: inside of that, you know what I'm saying. Like you know,
- 29:04Speaker 3: but yeah, I was moving like that, like go on
- 29:07Speaker 3: a restaurant, go order my food, like you feel me.
- 29:10Speaker 3: I was really outside like fried for.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Real, to be honest.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and I had got arrested. You know what I'm saying.
- 29:19Speaker 3: I'm like, I can't be moving like you're sitting in
- 29:21Speaker 3: there thinking. Yeah, I was just thinking that. Like always,
- 29:24Speaker 3: when I get into a situation, I always try to
- 29:26Speaker 3: find a lesson in it. And the reason why I
- 29:29Speaker 3: knew I had to switch it up because my son
- 29:32Speaker 3: was on the way and I had missed his baby shower,
- 29:34Speaker 3: and it was like it was kind of like a
- 29:36Speaker 3: sign from God, like if you don't change this, you're
- 29:38Speaker 3: gonna be missing a lot more when it comes to
- 29:41Speaker 3: your kid. Like you feel what I'm saying, Like you
- 29:42Speaker 3: end up going to jail or you're gonna die and
- 29:45Speaker 3: you're gonna miss his whole life, you know what I'm saying,
- 29:47Speaker 3: Like that's what I took from that situation, like for
- 29:50Speaker 3: me to be who I was, be that big at
- 29:52Speaker 3: the time, have money, bond out, I'll bond it out
- 29:54Speaker 3: the next day. And they still kept me in jail
- 29:57Speaker 3: and I missed the baby shower, and it was like
- 29:59Speaker 3: it just took so much from me because I was excited.
- 30:01Speaker 3: It was my first kid. You know what I'm saying,
- 30:03Speaker 3: Like we paid all that money for the baby shit.
- 30:05Speaker 3: I think I was probably spend fifty K or some
- 30:06Speaker 3: shit like that on a baby show and wasn't able
- 30:09Speaker 3: to go you feel I'm saying. So it just like
- 30:12Speaker 3: I don't know. When I got out, I started to
- 30:14Speaker 3: move completely different though, like for real, for higher security,
- 30:17Speaker 3: like and shit, my security been with me pretty much
- 30:20Speaker 3: ever since.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Now.
- 30:24Speaker 2: As that happens and you're getting bigger and you're getting
- 30:27Speaker 2: bigger musically, what happens, Like when does you herbel get
- 30:33Speaker 2: like a deal?
- 30:34Speaker 1: When?
- 30:35Speaker 2: When when does that moment happen? When you be like, wow,
- 30:38Speaker 2: you're folking to rite me a check?
- 30:40Speaker 1: When does that happen?
- 30:41Speaker 3: You know, it's so crazy, Like I still haven't even
- 30:44Speaker 3: seen that check, Like I ain't.
- 30:46Speaker 4: Wait wait, wait what you mean you ain't seen that chick?
- 30:49Speaker 3: Like I ain't never signed for like no significant amount
- 30:52Speaker 3: of money yet, Like I've still been independent my whole career,
- 30:55Speaker 3: Like I ain't never signed no double digit eight figure
- 30:59Speaker 3: check or nothing like that. Like everything I got is
- 31:02Speaker 3: just grinded, like off the muscle. You know what I'm saying,
- 31:04Speaker 3: I still be independent, stacking shows, making money off residuals.
- 31:08Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, Like the money I like
- 31:11Speaker 3: make every month off my music because I still you know,
- 31:14Speaker 3: own rights to my music and.
- 31:16Speaker 4: Got that's why you ain't getting no big check yeah
- 31:19Speaker 4: my old ones and.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Eating off all that.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Yeah, But right now I want to do. I need
- 31:24Speaker 3: the big payday right now.
- 31:25Speaker 1: No, man, you can't give up.
- 31:26Speaker 3: You can't give up the rights.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Man.
- 31:28Speaker 3: I want that check, you'all. I'm gonna spill it now.
- 31:35Speaker 3: It's like I've built so much, like with my brand,
- 31:38Speaker 3: and build so much of a foundation even with getting
- 31:41Speaker 3: a big check, Like I'm gonna still be able to
- 31:44Speaker 3: keep my rights, you know what I'm saying, because of
- 31:47Speaker 3: how I already modeled my business. You know what I'm saying,
- 31:50Speaker 3: Like they'll still give me money, give me a revolver
- 31:53Speaker 3: where I'm in an eight figure deal and I still
- 31:56Speaker 3: own seventy percent of my music. You know what I'm saying.
- 31:59Speaker 3: I've built that well, any label would give me that
- 32:03Speaker 3: deal right now, you know what I'm saying. So it's
- 32:04Speaker 3: like I'm about to be a free agent, Like this
- 32:07Speaker 3: is my final project too though, Yeah, this is my
- 32:09Speaker 3: final project with the label, with my production company. That
- 32:13Speaker 3: I was saying to I was sixteen years old, So
- 32:15Speaker 3: this is the first time in my career and I'm
- 32:17Speaker 3: not going to have no paperwork with anything. I know.
- 32:20Speaker 3: You happy, you walking at you? You walking in there,
- 32:23Speaker 3: Like what's the deal? Yeah? Yeah, for sure. It's like
- 32:26Speaker 3: right now it's like my contract season for real, Like
- 32:28Speaker 3: this where I'm about to get the super Max. Yeah,
- 32:31Speaker 3: so I'm excited for that and I feel like I
- 32:34Speaker 3: want to just try something, try something different when it
- 32:38Speaker 3: comes to like just the model and make of my business.
- 32:41Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, Like I want that big
- 32:43Speaker 3: label push that I never heard where it's like they
- 32:45Speaker 3: know they got more skin in the game. They gonna,
- 32:48Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, do more. You feel me
- 32:50Speaker 3: like that machine chasing Global superstyletum right now, Like I
- 32:53Speaker 3: feel like I did everything else. I've been independent for
- 32:56Speaker 3: over ten years in my career, Like in an independent system.
- 32:59Speaker 3: While I'm saying to my production company, got to deal
- 33:01Speaker 3: with them, and we just go and go get distribution
- 33:04Speaker 3: and go get label services from the label. You knowe
- 33:06Speaker 3: what I'm saying, And like Mark God, Yeah, and I've
- 33:09Speaker 3: never once like and I ain't even this ain't like
- 33:12Speaker 3: no shade or nothing, but I ain't never like got
- 33:15Speaker 3: that big check from the label. You feel what I'm saying,
- 33:18Speaker 3: Like everything that we had going on internally, like you
- 33:21Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, we broke bread and stuff like that,
- 33:23Speaker 3: and I just make the money. I was blessed to
- 33:26Speaker 3: you know, high residual income, and well I've been able
- 33:29Speaker 3: to like stack and take care of my family and
- 33:31Speaker 3: stuff like that you feel what I'm saying, Like, I
- 33:33Speaker 3: only got I got seven figure checks like probably like
- 33:40Speaker 3: three full times, and my whole corrupt from the label
- 33:44Speaker 3: in general, just in general, in general, any seven figure checks,
- 33:47Speaker 3: checks a million dollars or more. Only got that three
- 33:49Speaker 3: full times, and my whole career, everything else has been
- 33:51Speaker 3: off the muscle for sure. Man.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Let's let's go to commercial and let's talk about went
- 33:57Speaker 2: legit when we come back on the Ball Show brought
- 33:59Speaker 2: to you by Revolt.
- 34:01Speaker 4: That's right, man, we were back right here with the
- 34:03Speaker 4: bat Alert Show on Revolt tvg Herbos in the building.
- 34:06Speaker 1: What's something, man, I went legit?
- 34:08Speaker 2: Listen, bro, I got a little group chat, you know
- 34:11Speaker 2: at the radio station.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it come on.
- 34:15Speaker 1: It's just got.
- 34:18Speaker 4: You sound like you was mad when you when you
- 34:20Speaker 4: start round, you was mad.
- 34:23Speaker 3: I can tell you.
- 34:24Speaker 1: DJ's in that chat. Everybody said, is here.
- 34:30Speaker 4: Yeah, we're talking about it, yo, I said, when I
- 34:32Speaker 4: heard that record, I said, he was mad. You just
- 34:35Speaker 4: got out the phone with your girl and was like,
- 34:36Speaker 4: you know what, cut the mica.
- 34:38Speaker 3: I think that's what happened for real. I'm not even
- 34:40Speaker 3: lying to you, bro, I think we might have been like.
- 34:42Speaker 1: So this one plan.
- 34:43Speaker 3: I just went in there just no no, no, no no.
- 34:45Speaker 3: I just went in there, vib and like we was
- 34:46Speaker 3: in the studio, probably in at like thirty deep, and
- 34:49Speaker 3: that was just like what I was feeling at the moment.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Thirty deep in the studio is crazy.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Yeah, we do that.
- 34:54Speaker 1: A lot, probably like a chimney and they like to
- 34:57Speaker 1: get that energy.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, for sure. I went to the studio last night. Man,
- 35:03Speaker 3: they almost kicked me off the plane. Bro. When I
- 35:05Speaker 3: got on the plane, can I talk to you on
- 35:08Speaker 3: the outside real quick? I'm like, man, what's up? Like, uh,
- 35:12Speaker 3: did you take something like marijuana before you? I said, Man,
- 35:15Speaker 3: I don't smoke. I was at the concert, man, I
- 35:17Speaker 3: do music, and they was just smoking. Man, Like leave
- 35:22Speaker 3: me alone, bro, Like, yeah, for sure. Almost got kicked
- 35:25Speaker 3: off the plane this morning, man, Delta and fucking around.
- 35:27Speaker 2: So went legit. This is the new the new single
- 35:30Speaker 2: that's out. Yes, sir, we appreciate this piece of work.
- 35:33Speaker 1: When's the full.
- 35:34Speaker 3: Thing from a body of work, man, Little Herb. The
- 35:36Speaker 3: album is on the way. I'm thinking about just coming
- 35:40Speaker 3: in the fall, like right now for the remaining of
- 35:42Speaker 3: the summer. I'm like, you know, you about to push
- 35:45Speaker 3: this record. I'm gonna push this record right first. This
- 35:48Speaker 3: is a great like you know what I'm saying, one
- 35:50Speaker 3: or two Motor, just keep the momentum going that I
- 35:52Speaker 3: feel like on how that you know what I'm saying,
- 35:53Speaker 3: that entity to just feed off of what I'm doing
- 35:56Speaker 3: right now and roll them the mom single for the
- 36:00Speaker 3: album out, and I really like the thing is I've
- 36:04Speaker 3: been taking my time with this project. Was like it's
- 36:08Speaker 3: I feel like it's gonna really be like that big,
- 36:12Speaker 3: big project for me, and it's my last one under
- 36:15Speaker 3: the label, so I gotta pop it where it's like,
- 36:17Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, you got them first good record. Yeah,
- 36:20Speaker 3: when they come back and you know what I'm saying,
- 36:22Speaker 3: when it when it's time to negotiate, you know what
- 36:24Speaker 3: I'm saying, everything gonna be everything for show show, Like
- 36:27Speaker 3: that's what I'm focused on, Like I'm really focused on,
- 36:30Speaker 3: like I'm in the NBA trying to get the super
- 36:32Speaker 3: Max Like that's my mindset right now. But bro, I
- 36:35Speaker 3: ain't gonna lie. I'm just super blessed and humble that
- 36:38Speaker 3: this record is doing what it's doing.
- 36:40Speaker 1: You're gonna get some support for sure.
- 36:41Speaker 3: It's crazy like even like the feeling that I get
- 36:44Speaker 3: at my shows performing it, like I haven't got that
- 36:47Speaker 3: feeling and probably ever for really this is probably like
- 36:51Speaker 3: I know I have big records, but I feel like
- 36:55Speaker 3: right now like and from how it's starting to where
- 36:58Speaker 3: it's gonna go, there's probably be like my biggest record
- 37:01Speaker 3: like ever for sure.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Now before we get out of here, we got something
- 37:05Speaker 2: called the mental health check in one time for the
- 37:07Speaker 2: Faith Project Keisha, What up? What does g Herbo do
- 37:11Speaker 2: when he's having a bad day if you call it
- 37:13Speaker 2: a bad day?
- 37:15Speaker 3: What I do when I'm having a bad day is
- 37:18Speaker 3: I listen to music some of my favorite songs that
- 37:22Speaker 3: get me in a mood to like think, you know
- 37:26Speaker 3: what I'm saying, Like not most times when people are
- 37:29Speaker 3: having a bad day, it's for whatever reason and you
- 37:32Speaker 3: need to like think about or find what it is
- 37:35Speaker 3: that you like that it's going to like auto your
- 37:39Speaker 3: mood to be able to especially for me, because every
- 37:42Speaker 3: day I have to do something like for every day
- 37:44Speaker 3: some new shit for real, really, I gotta do something,
- 37:48Speaker 3: whether it's be on my kids, whether it's working, whether
- 37:50Speaker 3: it's this, whether it's that. So I try to like
- 37:53Speaker 3: play music, not even my music, just like some of
- 37:55Speaker 3: my favorite songs to give me in a certain mood.
- 37:59Speaker 3: If I'm away from home, I call my kids on
- 38:02Speaker 3: FaceTime Like that's I could talk to my kids and
- 38:05Speaker 3: be my kids and I snap out of anything. You
- 38:07Speaker 3: feel what I'm saying, So that works for me a lot, definitely.
- 38:13Speaker 3: I hang on a live bro. I don't know, it's weird,
- 38:15Speaker 3: like like I like to eat like im I ain't
- 38:20Speaker 3: no wrong when I'm not feeling good, Like I would
- 38:23Speaker 3: go take myself out to eat by myself type shit.
- 38:26Speaker 3: It's like it makes me feel just love food. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 38:29Speaker 3: yeah yeah yeah with my security for show. For sure.
- 38:31Speaker 3: I don't even go nowhere without security. No more bro
- 38:34Speaker 3: play like that for sure for sure. But I do that.
- 38:39Speaker 3: I like to like I like to go to restaurants
- 38:40Speaker 3: with my kids and my girl too though, Like I
- 38:42Speaker 3: do that. You feel what I'm saying. And in the
- 38:44Speaker 3: neighborhood that I do live in in la is super
- 38:47Speaker 3: super nice. So I would go to a restaurant somewhere
- 38:49Speaker 3: around now. I don't really need security. It's cool, like
- 38:53Speaker 3: it's sixty year old white ladies and know who you
- 38:57Speaker 3: aren't even pay attention, bro, like at all, So like
- 39:00Speaker 3: I like to do stuff like that. And another thing, bro,
- 39:06Speaker 3: I try to, like especially when I'm feeling emotions. When
- 39:08Speaker 3: I'm really feeling the emotions, I just try to go
- 39:11Speaker 3: to the studio and let it out. If I could
- 39:13Speaker 3: put it into a song, that helps me a lot too.
- 39:16Speaker 3: You feel what I'm saying because I feel like I
- 39:18Speaker 3: was able to release and if I was able to
- 39:21Speaker 3: put it into somewhere it like like transfer over to
- 39:26Speaker 3: you know, some relatable for my fans. You feel what
- 39:28Speaker 3: I'm saying because a lot of artists, like, don't get
- 39:30Speaker 3: me wrong, a lot of artists do like put their
- 39:33Speaker 3: life in perspective into songs. But if it's something like
- 39:36Speaker 3: especially the uncomfortable stuff, the stuff people don't really want
- 39:39Speaker 3: to rap about, that's the most relatable. I got to
- 39:42Speaker 3: a point in my career where it's like I don't
- 39:44Speaker 3: even hold it back no more. You feel me like
- 39:45Speaker 3: even if the song come out or don't come out,
- 39:47Speaker 3: at least I got it off my chest. So that's
- 39:50Speaker 3: that's what I do. Like when I'm having a bad day,
- 39:52Speaker 3: one of those things, either of those things like kind
- 39:55Speaker 3: of you know, probably I might not snap right back.
- 39:58Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, but it get me to,
- 40:00Speaker 3: you know, closer to where I need to be mentally,
- 40:02Speaker 3: for sure, for sure.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Well listen, man, we appreciate you spending some time with
- 40:06Speaker 2: us on the ball Alert Yeah, Revolt TV.
- 40:09Speaker 1: G Herbal in the building. Any shout outs Brother.
- 40:11Speaker 3: Man shouts out to Baby Crash Man, Well, Baby Crash
- 40:15Speaker 3: got that single coming out. Man hit the road. You
- 40:18Speaker 3: feel what I'm saying. Shouts out to y'all. Shout out
- 40:20Speaker 3: ball Alert Man. It's keeping his little Herbert album on way.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Hey, Hey, we got out of town.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Big run, Yes sir, Yeah, Baller showing the Revolt Peace
