- 0:00Speaker 1: Back to it. NewsRadio 570. Welcome. 406 here on a
- 0:03Speaker 1: Monday afternoon. July 13th already. Almost the middle of July.
- 0:07Speaker 1: It's hot. It's humid. It's 88 degrees. Ron Verb from
- 0:10Speaker 1: the Kingdom of Mahoning. And you're on the air.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Hi, Ron.
- 0:14Speaker 1: JJ the Liberal.
- 0:16Speaker 3: How are you today?
- 0:18Speaker 1: Say again.
- 0:19Speaker 3: How are you today?
- 0:20Speaker 1: I am well, sir. Thank you for asking. It's Monday.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it's Monday. How was your weekend?
- 0:26Speaker 4: Good?
- 0:27Speaker 1: Yes, it was. I mean, it's hard to have a
- 0:29Speaker 1: bad weekend. I mean, it's the weekends.
- 0:31Speaker 3: True.
- 0:32Speaker 5: I mean, eh. True.
- 0:34Speaker 1: That's what it's all about.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:38Speaker 1: You sound tired. You sound frustrated. You sound on edge,
- 0:42Speaker 1: like you're on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
- 0:45Speaker 3: No, no. I'm just waiting at the... I had to
- 0:50Speaker 3: just check in at the doctor's office because I'm getting...
- 0:55Speaker 3: I'm getting my head checked. Oh, good. I was thinking,
- 1:01Speaker 3: you know, my kidneys and everything. I just get my
- 1:09Speaker 3: head checked. So I'm just waiting for..
- 1:13Speaker 1: Oh, I see. Because they say liberalism is a mental disease. Dr.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Savage used to say that. Do you want to know
- 1:20Speaker 1: if you got it?
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I know I have it. How severe? I
- 1:26Speaker 3: didn't know if my insurance would cover, you know, insanity.
- 1:29Speaker 3: So I had to do some inquests on it. So
- 1:34Speaker 3: they'll cover a little bit of it. The electroshock, they
- 1:40Speaker 3: will only cover like 10% of it or 15% of it.
- 1:43Speaker 1: So the lobotomy, you don't know if it's covered and
- 1:47Speaker 1: the electric shock portions of it will be covered.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Well, the electric shock, they'll cover... I actually think they'll cover...
- 1:54Speaker 3: I have to pay 20% or 20% of the electric shock.
- 1:58Speaker 3: If I get a lobotomy, I really won't know. So basically,
- 2:02Speaker 3: I won't know with the price because I won't be...
- 2:04Speaker 3: I'll be kind of disconnected from my... from my common
- 2:09Speaker 3: sense part of my brain, which is already on its
- 2:14Speaker 3: last legs right now. But, yeah, I'm just waiting in
- 2:18Speaker 3: the waiting room, and I'm looking around, and there's one
- 2:20Speaker 3: guy over there that's drooling, and another person over there
- 2:23Speaker 3: is talking to themselves. So I thought that... So I thought,
- 2:26Speaker 3: you know, I'll just kind of blend in here, you know.
- 2:28Speaker 3: That was one of the first things they asked me.
- 2:30Speaker 3: They said, do you have your insurance card? And I said,
- 2:32Speaker 3: here's my insurance card. And then they wanted to see
- 2:34Speaker 3: my driver's license. And then they asked me if I
- 2:37Speaker 3: was a Democrat. And, you know, I kind of, I
- 2:40Speaker 3: was a little hee-hawing around about it. But I said, yeah.
- 2:41Speaker 3: And they said, well, you know, that might, the adjustment
- 2:44Speaker 3: might take longer.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Just might take longer being a Democrat.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Being a Democrat, there's a certain, they have a certain
- 2:55Speaker 3: policy that, you know, that they say that I'm a Democrat.
- 3:00Speaker 3: They put you in like, they consider you on the dole,
- 3:03Speaker 3: you know, so they kind of have to work with me.
- 3:08Speaker 3: But they all kind of gave me like a little
- 3:10Speaker 3: dirty look, you know, that's all right.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Do you think that was why? Because you mentioned that
- 3:16Speaker 1: one guy was drooling. The other guy was talking to himself.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I heard while you were sitting there, you pooped your pants.
- 3:27Speaker 3: No, no, I didn't poop my pants. No, that's not me. No,
- 3:33Speaker 3: there's a couple of men. I'm sorry. I shouldn't be
- 3:37Speaker 3: insulting this guy over here because now he's looking like
- 3:39Speaker 3: he might want to hurt me. So I'm going to
- 3:42Speaker 3: just watch what I.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Say right now.
- 3:44Speaker 3: So we've got a drooler. We've got a– when he's
- 3:47Speaker 3: talking to himself. And this other one, I don't know
- 3:49Speaker 3: if he's putting his hands on his pants or not.
- 3:51Speaker 3: I'm not too sure. So I've got to watch myself
- 3:53Speaker 3: around here, though. But I kind of blend right in.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Well, I think so. Ted, the conservatives should be happy
- 3:59Speaker 1: to know that you're actually at the mental institution getting
- 4:04Speaker 1: examined as we speak. Now, when all of this electric
- 4:07Speaker 1: shock therapy is done, do they anticipate that you will
- 4:10Speaker 1: be supporting the Republican Party then at that point in time?
- 4:14Speaker 3: Well, basically, once I get the electroshock, it's part of the,
- 4:19Speaker 3: you know, the symptoms of after the electroshock is I
- 4:24Speaker 3: become more of a Trumpster and I'll be voting Republican
- 4:29Speaker 3: from this point on. And if I don't, if I don't,
- 4:32Speaker 3: then I think it kind of gives me, I think
- 4:35Speaker 3: I actually, if I vote, if I pull it or
- 4:38Speaker 3: I start to write in a Democrat vote, Then I
- 4:41Speaker 3: think I actually pee myself. I'm not too sure. I
- 4:44Speaker 3: think that's part of the aftershock thing there. So it
- 4:50Speaker 3: basically gives me an opportunity to make sure that I'm
- 4:56Speaker 3: not going to do the wrong thing. But I told him,
- 4:59Speaker 3: you know, as long as I don't poop myself, peeing myself,
- 5:01Speaker 3: that's not a problem. But the pooping, I would prefer
- 5:03Speaker 3: them not to do it. Because I don't want to
- 5:05Speaker 3: be doing that right in the middle of, you know,
- 5:07Speaker 3: voting right there. That would be kind of mean, sad enough. But, yeah,
- 5:12Speaker 3: that's a contingency little plan there that they have in
- 5:14Speaker 3: place there that if I go to Mark B. anywhere,
- 5:17Speaker 3: then I automatically turn to Twitch and I pee myself.
- 5:19Speaker 3: So I'm hoping that'll work for me right now.
- 5:27Speaker 1: You know, I'm sure Ted's going to be very proud
- 5:30Speaker 1: of the new J.J., the conservative.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Yeah, that has kind of a nice ring to it,
- 5:36Speaker 3: I think. But you'll have to give me something, because
- 5:38Speaker 3: he's technically conservative. I can't be J.J. the conservative.
- 5:41Speaker 1: You're right.
- 5:43Speaker 3: J.J.
- 5:43Speaker 1: The right-winger or something. Now, when people look at you,
- 5:46Speaker 1: will you have almost just a blank stare as you
- 5:51Speaker 1: look forward after all of this therapy?
- 5:53Speaker 3: Well, I've always had a blank stare. I've always had
- 5:56Speaker 3: a kind of a distant, you know, I kind of don't,
- 5:58Speaker 3: my eyes are kind of not really focusing on who's
- 6:00Speaker 3: talking to me. But this one will be, I don't
- 6:03Speaker 3: be able to see the tail bit. I think part
- 6:06Speaker 3: of drooling is part of it that I have to consider.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I think that guy that was drooling over here that's
- 6:10Speaker 3: next to me, I think he's already gone through a
- 6:12Speaker 3: couple sessions of electroshock. So I have that to look
- 6:18Speaker 3: forward to. I don't know if my wife's going to
- 6:21Speaker 3: like it too much because she's a She doesn't like
- 6:23Speaker 3: me in the first place right now. So you have
- 6:27Speaker 3: to worry about that. So, but other than that, you know,
- 6:31Speaker 3: I thought you guys would get out, you know, you
- 6:32Speaker 3: guys would be very, very happy with that. That I
- 6:34Speaker 3: kind of just said, you know, I might as well
- 6:37Speaker 3: get everything checked to get my heart checked, get my
- 6:39Speaker 3: kidneys checked. And now I'll get the noggin check. And so,
- 6:43Speaker 3: so hopefully it'll work out and, So, you know, I
- 6:47Speaker 3: knew that I was going to go Republican as if
- 6:49Speaker 3: actually I had to have something physically done to me,
- 6:52Speaker 3: you know, that that will change my. So you guys
- 6:56Speaker 3: have to look forward to that. I'm a changed man.
- 6:59Speaker 1: I can hardly wait for the outcome. I'm really excited
- 7:01Speaker 1: about it.
- 7:02Speaker 3: So am I. I don't know if I'll be losing
- 7:05Speaker 3: any hair or anything like a chemo, which that's really
- 7:09Speaker 3: not really all that funny. But I do know that
- 7:11Speaker 3: my wife, she was emphasizing.
- 7:14Speaker 1: That she would like me.
- 7:17Speaker 3: To do that. Either that or divorce.
- 7:19Speaker 1: After the therapy, instead of J.J. the liberal, you might
- 7:22Speaker 1: be J.J. the Trumpster.
- 7:26Speaker 3: You never know. Actually, I'm starting to become very fond
- 7:29Speaker 3: of the color red. So, you know, actually, you know,
- 7:33Speaker 3: I was wondering why I put on some red underwear today.
- 7:36Speaker 3: I don't know if it's kind of leaning. Now I'll
- 7:39Speaker 3: be driving around. I have to purchase a new car
- 7:40Speaker 3: and get a red car. And, you know, so it's
- 7:45Speaker 3: a good thing.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Well, let me know tomorrow, please, on how it's working
- 7:50Speaker 1: for you, okay?
- 7:51Speaker 3: Yeah, if I can still speak English, I'll be more
- 7:53Speaker 3: than happy to give you a call and let you
- 7:55Speaker 3: know how it worked. But other than that, I just
- 7:57Speaker 3: got to watch afterwards that I don't say anything or
- 8:01Speaker 3: do anything on the left part of the leftist.
- 8:03Speaker 6: Right.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Because then I don't want to be peeing myself right
- 8:05Speaker 3: in public. So I got to keep an eye on that.
- 8:07Speaker 3: But anyway, I thought you'd get a..
- 8:09Speaker 1: Thank you. Thank you. Have a good therapy.
- 8:11Speaker 3: It's worked. All that effort worked, Ron.
- 8:13Speaker 1: There you go.
- 8:14Speaker 3: J.J.
- 8:14Speaker 1: The liberal at therapy where he's getting some extensive reprogramming.
- 8:21Speaker 1: So he might, instead of J.J. the liberal, he might
- 8:24Speaker 1: end up being J.J. the Trumpster. That is really something.
- 8:27Speaker 1: You're on the air.
- 8:27Speaker 6: How you doing, Ron?
- 8:28Speaker 3: Good.
- 8:29Speaker 6: You'll either end up like John Fetterman or Jack Nicholson
- 8:32Speaker 6: in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Wasn't that a great movie with Jack Nicholson?
- 8:37Speaker 6: He ended up as a vegetable in the end, but
- 8:39Speaker 6: it was a great movie. And then Fetterman was cured.
- 8:43Speaker 6: I mean, they turned him around, but... Evidently, the marijuana's
- 8:47Speaker 6: not working, I guess, huh, for J.J.? I know.
- 8:50Speaker 1: That was one of his best bits I think he's
- 8:53Speaker 1: ever done. But anyway, go ahead.
- 8:55Speaker 6: Yeah, I was going to say, you're cutting your hours
- 8:57Speaker 6: to three hours?
- 8:59Speaker 1: Yes. Well, not every night, because I got Rockport Wealth
- 9:04Speaker 1: on Mondays, and on Thursdays I got the John Arnold
- 9:06Speaker 1: Show until 7.
- 9:07Speaker 6: Yeah, with the two shows. That's what Dan Ryan, he
- 9:11Speaker 6: was three hours. Rivers was three hours.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Right.
- 9:14Speaker 6: And you're doing the big shows. And then when you
- 9:17Speaker 6: do decide to retire, you can become a translator. For
- 9:23Speaker 6: YSU and all of the public schools, you can translate
- 9:27Speaker 6: cursive writing for the kids.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Oh, is that it?
- 9:30Speaker 6: So they can understand, you know, it's a foreign language
- 9:33Speaker 6: right now, anyone under 20 years old.
- 9:36Speaker 1: That they don't know how to cursive write.
- 9:38Speaker 6: They don't know how to read cursive writing.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Oh, that's almost a sin, isn't it?
- 9:43Speaker 6: It takes them hours to decipher a letter or anything written,
- 9:48Speaker 6: which is a sin. That's our school system, though.
- 9:51Speaker 3: That's where we're at.
- 9:55Speaker 6: And getting back to, just want to clarify, we've won
- 10:00Speaker 6: the war over in the Iran war. Trump said we
- 10:04Speaker 6: sunk their navy, defeated the army, and a year ago
- 10:07Speaker 6: when we sent the stealth bombers over, we completely eliminated
- 10:13Speaker 6: their nuclear threat, which confused me as to why we
- 10:18Speaker 6: went to war to removed the nuclear threat when we
- 10:21Speaker 6: got rid of it last year. But, yeah, Trump, I
- 10:26Speaker 6: took some flack at a family get-together. Some out-of-town people
- 10:30Speaker 6: can pick up your radio station, believe it or not,
- 10:33Speaker 6: and they were criticizing me for knocking Trump.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Well, see, I don't get people with that because when
- 10:43Speaker 1: we say how could Democrats support Joe Biden when he
- 10:46Speaker 1: didn't have any press conferences, he didn't have cabinet meetings,
- 10:50Speaker 1: he clearly wasn't functioning. So are people saying that, oh,
- 10:53Speaker 1: you should support Trump no matter what he does, what
- 10:56Speaker 1: decision he makes, you should check your brain at the door?
- 10:59Speaker 1: I'm here to tell you you shouldn't do that with
- 11:01Speaker 1: any politician. I don't care if they're a Republican, Democrat.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I don't care if they're president or local. You should
- 11:07Speaker 1: never stop thinking. I know a few people I agree
- 11:09Speaker 1: with 100%, and anybody who gives you a hard time
- 11:12Speaker 1: on it is foolish. I'll be the first guy to
- 11:15Speaker 1: sit here and say, Trump got us into this mess,
- 11:18Speaker 1: and look how long it's going on, and right now
- 11:20Speaker 1: the exit ramp doesn't seem to exist. I mean, we're
- 11:24Speaker 1: right back to $ 4 gas. Inflation is going to come back.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I mean, what's your assessment?
- 11:29Speaker 6: Well, if you run down the list, starting with COVID,
- 11:33Speaker 6: we never got the true story on COVID, where it originated,
- 11:36Speaker 6: how many people it killed, how many people the vaccine injured.
- 11:41Speaker 6: That never came out because that was Trump's program, Operation
- 11:45Speaker 6: Warp Speed. That's one of his achievements as far as
- 11:49Speaker 6: he's concerned, which I'm very disappointed that they're still pushing
- 11:53Speaker 6: this mRNA technology and vaccines and vaccines. It doesn't make
- 12:00Speaker 6: any sense. And then he's never taken care of the
- 12:03Speaker 6: election fraud problem. And then we're coming up on the
- 12:06Speaker 6: midterms again. And then the no wars, that's what he
- 12:09Speaker 6: ran on. And what did he do? He did a 180,
- 12:13Speaker 6: like you said. He did a 180 on Epstein and
- 12:15Speaker 6: the wars. And then to top it all off, inflation.
- 12:20Speaker 6: That's his biggest crime, what's going on in the country
- 12:24Speaker 6: because of... The cost of inflation, what it's costing these
- 12:28Speaker 6: young families and trying to buy homes and trying to
- 12:31Speaker 6: raise a family and survive. I watched two guys over
- 12:35Speaker 6: the weekend. I don't know if you watch Face the
- 12:38Speaker 6: Nation beat the press on Sunday morning.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I do not watch it, but go ahead.
- 12:41Speaker 6: They had Rahm Emanuel on, you know, the ex-mayor from Chicago.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Yes.
- 12:46Speaker 6: And he was Obama's chief of staff. I mean, the guy...
- 12:52Speaker 6: was amazing. He sounded like JFK, a moderate Democrat. He
- 12:57Speaker 6: made a lot of sense, and he agreed with J.D.
- 13:01Speaker 6: Vance on a lot of things. And one of his
- 13:04Speaker 6: big points was, with this war, you can't kill your
- 13:09Speaker 6: way out of this war. And that's the Jewish philosophy.
- 13:13Speaker 6: Kill as many people as you can, and that's not
- 13:16Speaker 6: going to work. You see what happened in Gaza and
- 13:19Speaker 6: what's going on in Lebanon.
- 13:21Speaker 1: But..
- 13:22Speaker 6: I my assessment we've lost the war in Iran will
- 13:26Speaker 6: never beat them it's going to be another Vietnam I
- 13:29Speaker 6: don't know how he's ever going to get out if
- 13:31Speaker 6: you know the geography of Iran it's extremely mountainous in
- 13:36Speaker 6: the cities you're going to you're going to have to
- 13:39Speaker 6: multiple nukes to win that war you're going to have
- 13:42Speaker 6: to kill and level the whole country which we would
- 13:45Speaker 6: never do so we're at a I don't know not
- 13:50Speaker 6: not looking good And then the other show, I think
- 13:54Speaker 6: it was Face the Nation, they had Ro Khanna, the
- 13:57Speaker 6: congressman from California. He was in the West Bank interviewing Palestinians,
- 14:03Speaker 6: and he was harassed by the Israeli settlers, and the
- 14:09Speaker 6: IDF detained him for over 90 minutes. He told them
- 14:12Speaker 6: he was a congressman from America, and they knew he
- 14:17Speaker 6: was coming, and they still... had the arrogance to mistreat him.
- 14:23Speaker 6: I don't agree with a lot of his philosophy, but
- 14:26Speaker 6: you don't treat a congressman that way, especially since we're
- 14:32Speaker 6: paying for your military, your war, your economy. That was
- 14:38Speaker 6: bad on the Israelis' part, but that's another story.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I mean, it's a mess. It is a mess that
- 14:46Speaker 1: he created. And I don't know that there's an easy
- 14:51Speaker 1: way out of it, do you?
- 14:53Speaker 6: No, there isn't. And the sad thing is a lot
- 14:55Speaker 6: of people, a lot of companies, try to base their
- 15:00Speaker 6: planning on, you know, is the war over? Is it
- 15:04Speaker 6: not over? We signed an agreement. And you look at
- 15:07Speaker 6: the market, you've got to take that into consideration when
- 15:12Speaker 6: you make your strategic moves. You know, what's tomorrow? What's
- 15:16Speaker 6: tomorrow going to be? Is it oil going back to
- 15:19Speaker 6: $ 120 or $ 150? I don't know.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Stand by. Stand by. Hang on. I'll come back to him.
- 15:24Speaker 1: More calls straight ahead. Ron Verb, NewsRadio 570 WKBN from
- 15:27Speaker 1: the Kingdom of Mahoning here tonight until 6, then Rockport Wealth.
- 15:32Speaker 4: Now, Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Back to you on NewsRadio 570 WKBN. Welcome. 406 here
- 15:41Speaker 1: on a Monday afternoon, July 13th already. Almost the middle
- 15:44Speaker 1: of July. It's hot. It's humid. It's 88 degrees. Ron
- 15:48Speaker 1: Verb from the Kingdom of Mahoning, and you're on the air. Hi, Ron. J.J.
- 15:53Speaker 1: the Liberal.
- 15:54Speaker 3: How are you today?
- 15:56Speaker 1: Say again?
- 15:57Speaker 3: How are you today?
- 15:58Speaker 1: I am well, sir. Thank you for asking. It's Monday.
- 16:01Speaker 5: Oh, yes.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Yeah, Monday. How was your weekend? Good?
- 16:05Speaker 1: Yes, it was. I mean, it's hard to have a
- 16:07Speaker 1: bad weekend. I mean, it's the weekends.
- 16:09Speaker 3: True.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I mean, hey.
- 16:11Speaker 3: True.
- 16:12Speaker 1: That's what it's all about.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:16Speaker 1: You sound tired. You sound frustrated. You sound on edge,
- 16:20Speaker 1: like you're on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
- 16:23Speaker 3: No, no. I'm just waiting at the... I had to
- 16:28Speaker 3: just check in at the doctor's office because... I'm getting
- 16:33Speaker 3: my head checked. Oh, good. I was thinking, you know,
- 16:43Speaker 3: my kidneys and everything. I just get my head checked.
- 16:48Speaker 3: So I'm just waiting for..
- 16:51Speaker 1: Oh, I see. Because they say liberalism is a mental disease. Dr.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Savage used to say that. Do you want to know
- 16:58Speaker 1: if you got it?
- 17:00Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I know I have it.
- 17:03Speaker 1: How severe?
- 17:03Speaker 3: I didn't know if my insurance would cover insanity, so
- 17:07Speaker 3: I had to do some inquests on it. So they'll
- 17:12Speaker 3: cover a little bit of it. The electroshock, they will
- 17:18Speaker 3: only cover like 10% of it or 15% of it.
- 17:21Speaker 1: So the lobotomy, you don't know if it's covered and
- 17:25Speaker 1: the electric shock portions of it will be covered?
- 17:28Speaker 3: Well, the electric shock, they'll cover– I actually think they'll cover–
- 17:32Speaker 3: I have to pay 20% or 20% of the electric shock.
- 17:36Speaker 3: If I get a lobotomy, I really won't know. So
- 17:40Speaker 3: basically I won't know with the price because I won't be–
- 17:43Speaker 3: I'll be kind of disconnected from my– from my common
- 17:47Speaker 3: sense part of my brain, which is already on its
- 17:52Speaker 3: last legs right now. But, yeah, I'm just sitting there
- 17:56Speaker 3: waiting for him, and I'm looking around, and there's one
- 17:58Speaker 3: guy over there that's drooling, and another person over there
- 18:01Speaker 3: is talking to themselves. So I thought that... So I thought,
- 18:04Speaker 3: you know, I'll just kind of blend in here, you know.
- 18:06Speaker 1: That was one.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Of the first things they asked me. They said, do
- 18:09Speaker 3: you have your insurance card? And I said, here's my
- 18:10Speaker 3: insurance card. And then they no longer see my driver's license.
- 18:13Speaker 3: And then they asked me if I was a Democrat. And,
- 18:17Speaker 3: you know, I kind of, I was a little hee-hawing
- 18:19Speaker 3: around about it. But I said, yeah. And they said, well,
- 18:21Speaker 3: you know, that might, the adjustment might take longer.
- 18:26Speaker 1: And Jusma might take longer being a Democrat.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Being a Democrat, there's a certain, they have a certain
- 18:33Speaker 3: policy that, you know, that they say that I'm a Democrat.
- 18:38Speaker 3: They put you in like, they consider you on the dole,
- 18:41Speaker 3: you know, so they kind of have to work with me.
- 18:46Speaker 3: But they all kind of gave me like a little
- 18:48Speaker 3: dirty look, you know.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Do you think that was why? Because you mentioned that
- 18:54Speaker 1: one guy was drooling. the other guy, the other guy
- 18:59Speaker 1: was talking to himself. I heard while you were sitting there,
- 19:03Speaker 1: you pooped your pants.
- 19:05Speaker 3: No, no, I didn't poop my pants, but no, that's
- 19:09Speaker 3: not me. No, but I know there's a, there's a couple,
- 19:12Speaker 3: you know, a couple of men. I'm sorry. I shouldn't be,
- 19:14Speaker 3: you know, insulting this guy over here. Cause he, now
- 19:17Speaker 3: he's looking like he might want to hurt me. So
- 19:19Speaker 3: I'm going to, I'm going to just watch what I
- 19:21Speaker 3: say right now. But, uh, So we've got a drooler,
- 19:23Speaker 3: we've got a– when he's talking to himself. And this
- 19:26Speaker 3: other one, I don't know if he's putting his hands
- 19:28Speaker 3: on his pants or not. I'm not too sure. So
- 19:30Speaker 3: I've got to watch myself around here, though. But I
- 19:32Speaker 3: kind of blend right in.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Well, I think so. Ted, the conservatives should be happy
- 19:37Speaker 1: to know that you're actually at the mental institution getting
- 19:42Speaker 1: examined as we speak. Now, when all of this electric
- 19:45Speaker 1: shock therapy is done, do they anticipate that you'll be
- 19:49Speaker 1: supporting the Republican Party then at that point in time?
- 19:52Speaker 3: Well, basically, once I get the electroshock, it's part of the,
- 19:57Speaker 3: you know, the symptoms of after the electroshock is I
- 20:02Speaker 3: become more of a Trumpster and I'll be voting Republican
- 20:07Speaker 3: from this point on. And if I don't, if I don't,
- 20:10Speaker 3: then I think it kind of gives me I think
- 20:13Speaker 3: I actually if I vote, if I pull it or
- 20:16Speaker 3: I start to write in a Democrat vote. Then I
- 20:19Speaker 3: think I actually pee myself. I'm not too sure. I
- 20:23Speaker 3: think that's part of the aftershock thing there. So it
- 20:28Speaker 3: basically gives me an opportunity to make sure that I'm
- 20:34Speaker 3: not going to do the wrong thing. But I told him,
- 20:37Speaker 3: you know, as long as I don't poop myself, peeing myself,
- 20:39Speaker 3: that's not a problem. But if he pooped, then I
- 20:41Speaker 3: would prefer them not to do that. Because I don't
- 20:42Speaker 3: want to be doing that right in the middle of,
- 20:44Speaker 3: you know, voting right there. That would be kind of
- 20:47Speaker 3: sad enough. But, yeah, that's a contingency, a little plan
- 20:51Speaker 3: there that they have in place there that if I
- 20:53Speaker 3: go to Mark B. anywhere, then I automatically turn to
- 20:56Speaker 3: Twitch and I pee myself. So I'm hoping that'll work
- 21:03Speaker 3: for me right now.
- 21:04Speaker 1: You know, I'm sure Ted's going to be very proud
- 21:08Speaker 1: of the new J.J., the conservative.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Yeah, that has kind of a nice ring to it,
- 21:14Speaker 3: I think, you know, but you'll have to give me
- 21:15Speaker 3: something because he's conservative. I can't be J.J. the conservative.
- 21:19Speaker 1: You're right. J.J., the right winger or something. Now, when
- 21:23Speaker 1: people look at you, will you have like just like
- 21:26Speaker 1: almost like just a blank stare as you look forward
- 21:29Speaker 1: after all of this therapy?
- 21:31Speaker 3: Well, I've always had a blank stare. I've always had
- 21:34Speaker 3: kind of a distant, you know, I kind of don't,
- 21:36Speaker 3: my eyes are kind of not really focusing on who's
- 21:38Speaker 3: talking to me. But this one will be, I don't
- 21:41Speaker 3: be able to see. I think part of drooling is
- 21:45Speaker 3: part of it that I have to consider. I think
- 21:46Speaker 3: that guy that was drooling over here that's next to me,
- 21:49Speaker 3: I think he's already gone through a couple sessions of electroshock.
- 21:54Speaker 3: So I have that to look forward to. I don't know.
- 21:58Speaker 3: if my wife's going to like it too much because
- 22:00Speaker 3: she doesn't like me in the first place right now.
- 22:02Speaker 3: So I have to worry about that. But other than that,
- 22:04Speaker 3: I thought you guys would be very happy with that
- 22:06Speaker 3: that I kind of just said, you know, I might
- 22:15Speaker 3: as well get everything checked. I get my heart checked,
- 22:17Speaker 3: get my kidneys checked, and now I'll get the noggin checked.
- 22:20Speaker 3: So hopefully it'll work out. I knew that I was
- 22:26Speaker 3: going to go Republican as if actually I had to
- 22:28Speaker 3: have something physically done to me that will change my...
- 22:33Speaker 3: So you guys have that to look forward to, that
- 22:35Speaker 3: I'm a changed man now.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I can hardly wait for the outcome. I'm really excited
- 22:39Speaker 1: about it.
- 22:40Speaker 3: So am I. I don't know if I'll be losing
- 22:43Speaker 3: any hair or anything like a chemo, which that's really
- 22:47Speaker 3: not really all that funny. But I do know that
- 22:49Speaker 3: my wife, she was emphasizing that she would like.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Me to do that.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Either that or divorce. So it's one of the two.
- 22:57Speaker 1: After the therapy, instead of J.J. the liberal, you might
- 23:00Speaker 1: be J.J. the Trumpster.
- 23:04Speaker 3: You never know. Actually, I'm starting to become very fond
- 23:07Speaker 3: of the color red. So, you know, actually, you know,
- 23:11Speaker 3: I was wondering why I put on some red underwear today.
- 23:14Speaker 3: I don't know if it's kind of leaning. Now I'll
- 23:16Speaker 3: be driving around. I have to purchase a new car
- 23:18Speaker 3: and get a red car. And, you know, so it's
- 23:23Speaker 3: a good thing.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Well, let me know tomorrow, please, on how it's working
- 23:28Speaker 1: for you, okay?
- 23:28Speaker 5: I mean..
- 23:29Speaker 3: Yeah, if I can still speak English, I'll be more
- 23:31Speaker 3: than happy to give you a call and let you
- 23:33Speaker 3: know how it worked. But other than that, I just
- 23:35Speaker 3: got to watch afterwards that I don't say anything or
- 23:39Speaker 3: do anything on the left part, leftist. Right. Because then
- 23:42Speaker 3: I don't want to be peeing myself right in public.
- 23:43Speaker 3: So I got to keep an eye on that. But anyway,
- 23:46Speaker 3: I thought you'd get a..
- 23:47Speaker 1: Thank you. Thank you. Have a good therapy.
- 23:50Speaker 3: All that effort worked, Ron.
- 23:51Speaker 1: There you go. JJ the liberal at therapy where he's
- 23:55Speaker 1: getting some extensive reprogramming. So instead of J.J. the liberal,
- 24:01Speaker 1: he might end up being J.J. the Trumpster. That is
- 24:04Speaker 1: really something. You're on the air.
- 24:05Speaker 6: How are you doing, Ron? Good. You either end up
- 24:08Speaker 6: like John Fetterman or Jack Nicholson in One Flew Over
- 24:11Speaker 6: the Cuckoo's Nest.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Wasn't that a great movie with Jack Nicholson?
- 24:15Speaker 6: He ended up as a vegetable in the end, but
- 24:17Speaker 6: it was a great movie. And then Fetterman was cured.
- 24:20Speaker 6: I mean, they turned him around, but... Evidently, the marijuana's
- 24:25Speaker 6: not working, I guess, huh, for J.J.
- 24:27Speaker 1: I know. That was one of his best bits I
- 24:30Speaker 1: think he's ever done. But anyway, go ahead.
- 24:33Speaker 6: Yeah, I was going to say, you're cutting your hours
- 24:35Speaker 6: to three hours?
- 24:37Speaker 1: Yes. Well, not every night, because I got Rockport Wealth
- 24:42Speaker 1: on Mondays, and on Thursdays I got the John Arnold
- 24:44Speaker 1: Show until 7.
- 24:45Speaker 6: Yeah, with the two shows. That's what Dan Ryan, he
- 24:49Speaker 6: was three hours. Rivers was three hours.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 24:52Speaker 6: And you're doing the big shows. And then when you
- 24:55Speaker 6: do decide to retire, you can become a translator. For
- 25:01Speaker 6: YSU and all of the public schools, you can translate
- 25:05Speaker 6: cursive writing for the kids.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Oh, is that it?
- 25:08Speaker 6: So they can understand, you know, it's a foreign language
- 25:11Speaker 6: right now, anyone under 20 years old.
- 25:14Speaker 1: That they don't know how to cursive write.
- 25:16Speaker 6: They don't know how to read cursive writing.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Oh, that's almost a sin, isn't it?
- 25:21Speaker 6: It takes them hours to decipher a letter or anything written,
- 25:26Speaker 6: which is a sin. That's our school system, though. That's
- 25:32Speaker 6: where we're at. And getting back to, I just want
- 25:35Speaker 6: to clarify, we've won the war over in the Iran war.
- 25:41Speaker 6: Trump said we sunk their navy, defeated the army. And
- 25:45Speaker 6: a year ago, when we sent the stealth bombers over,
- 25:49Speaker 6: we completely eliminated their nuclear threat, which confused me as
- 25:55Speaker 6: to why we went to war to remove the nuclear
- 25:59Speaker 6: threat when we got rid of it last year. But yeah, Trump,
- 26:03Speaker 6: I took some flack at a family get-together. Some out-of-town
- 26:08Speaker 6: people can pick up your radio station, believe it or not,
- 26:11Speaker 6: and they were criticizing me for knocking Trump And I said,
- 26:16Speaker 6: I just..
- 26:17Speaker 1: Well, see, I don't get people with that.
- 26:19Speaker 3: Because..
- 26:21Speaker 1: When we say how could Democrats support Joe Biden when
- 26:24Speaker 1: he didn't have any press conferences, he didn't have cabinet meetings,
- 26:28Speaker 1: he clearly wasn't functioning. So are people saying that, oh,
- 26:31Speaker 1: you should support Trump no matter what he does, what
- 26:34Speaker 1: decision he makes, you should check your brain at the door.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I'm here to tell you you shouldn't do that with
- 26:39Speaker 1: any politician. I don't care if they're a Republican, Democrat.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I don't care if they're president or local. You should
- 26:45Speaker 1: never stop thinking. I know few people I agree with 100%,
- 26:47Speaker 1: and anybody who gives you a hard time on it
- 26:51Speaker 1: is foolish. I'll be the first guy to sit here
- 26:53Speaker 1: and say, Trump got us into this mess, and look
- 26:56Speaker 1: how long it's going on, and right now the exit
- 26:59Speaker 1: ramp doesn't seem to exist. I mean, we're right back
- 27:03Speaker 1: to $ 4 gas, inflation is going to come back. I mean,
- 27:06Speaker 1: what's your assessment?
- 27:07Speaker 6: Well, if you run down the list, starting with COVID,
- 27:11Speaker 6: we never got the true story on COVID, where it originated,
- 27:14Speaker 6: how many people it killed. How many people the vaccine injured?
- 27:19Speaker 6: That never came out because that was Trump's program, Operation
- 27:23Speaker 6: Warp Speed. That's one of his achievements as far as
- 27:27Speaker 6: he's concerned, which I'm very disappointed that they're still pushing
- 27:31Speaker 6: this mRNA technology and vaccines. And it doesn't make any sense.
- 27:38Speaker 6: And then he's never taken care of the election fraud problem.
- 27:43Speaker 6: And then we're coming up on the midterms again. And
- 27:46Speaker 6: then the no wars, that's what he ran on, and
- 27:48Speaker 6: what did he do? He did a 180, like you said.
- 27:52Speaker 6: He did a 180 on Epstein and the wars, and
- 27:55Speaker 6: then to top it all off, inflation. That's his biggest crime,
- 28:00Speaker 6: what's going on in the country because of the cost
- 28:04Speaker 6: of inflation, what it's costing these young families and trying
- 28:08Speaker 6: to buy homes and trying to raise a family and survive.
- 28:12Speaker 6: I watched two guys over the weekend. I don't know
- 28:14Speaker 6: if you watch... Face the Nation, Meet the Press on
- 28:17Speaker 6: Sunday morning.
- 28:18Speaker 1: I do not watch it, but go ahead.
- 28:20Speaker 6: They had Rahm Emanuel on, you know, the ex-mayor from Chicago.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Yes.
- 28:25Speaker 6: And he was Obama's chief of staff. I mean, the
- 28:28Speaker 6: guy was amazing. He sounded like JFK, a moderate Democrat.
- 28:35Speaker 6: He made a lot of sense, and he agreed with J.D.
- 28:39Speaker 6: Vance on a lot of things. And one of his
- 28:42Speaker 6: big points was, with this war... you can't kill your
- 28:47Speaker 6: way out of this war. And that's the Jewish philosophy.
- 28:51Speaker 6: Kill as many people as you can, and that's not
- 28:54Speaker 6: going to work. You see what happened in Gaza and
- 28:57Speaker 6: what's going on in Lebanon. But my assessment, we've lost
- 29:03Speaker 6: the war in Iran. We'll never beat them. It's going
- 29:05Speaker 6: to be another Vietnam. I don't know how he's ever
- 29:09Speaker 6: going to get out. If you know the geography of Iran,
- 29:11Speaker 6: it's extremely mountainous. in the cities, you're going to have
- 29:17Speaker 6: multiple nukes to win that war. You're going to have
- 29:20Speaker 6: to kill and level the whole country, which we would
- 29:23Speaker 6: never do. So we're at a, I don't know, not
- 29:28Speaker 6: looking good. And then the other show, I think it
- 29:32Speaker 6: was Face the Nation, they had Ro Khanna, the congressman
- 29:36Speaker 6: from California. He was in the West Bank interviewing Palestinians,
- 29:41Speaker 6: and he was harassed by the Israeli settlers, and the
- 29:47Speaker 6: IDF detained him for over 90 minutes. He told them
- 29:50Speaker 6: he was a congressman from America, and they knew he
- 29:55Speaker 6: was coming, and they still had the arrogance to mistreat him.
- 30:00Speaker 6: I don't agree with a lot of his philosophy, but
- 30:04Speaker 6: you don't treat a congressman that way, especially since we're
- 30:10Speaker 6: paying for your military, your war, your economy. That was
- 30:16Speaker 6: bad on the Israelis' part, but that's another story.
- 30:21Speaker 1: I mean, it's a mess. It is a mess that
- 30:24Speaker 1: he created, And I don't know that there's an easy
- 30:29Speaker 1: way out of it. Do you?
- 30:31Speaker 6: No, there isn't. And the sad thing is a lot
- 30:33Speaker 6: of people, a lot of companies try to base their
- 30:38Speaker 6: planning on, you know, is the war over? Is it
- 30:42Speaker 6: not over? We signed an agreement. And you look at
- 30:45Speaker 6: the market, you've got to take that into consideration when
- 30:50Speaker 6: you make your strategic moves. You know, what's tomorrow? What's
- 30:54Speaker 6: tomorrow going to be? Is it oil going back to
- 30:57Speaker 6: $ 120 or $ 150? I don't know.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Stand by. Stand by. Hang on. I'll come back to him.
- 31:02Speaker 1: More calls straight ahead. Ron Verb, NewsRadio 570 WKBN from
- 31:05Speaker 1: the Kingdom of Mahoning here tonight until 6, then Rockport Wealth. Ron,
- 31:12Speaker 1: for checking in with me.
- 31:13Speaker 4: Youngstown's News, Weather, and Talk Station, 570 WKBN.
- 31:18Speaker 1: It's 424 on a Monday afternoon, July 13th. It's 88 degrees.
- 31:23Speaker 1: It's a hot, humid one out there. And so there
- 31:26Speaker 1: is a big mess that is going on now. When
- 31:30Speaker 1: you think it, you see it happen. The stock market's up.
- 31:32Speaker 1: The stock market's down. Oil prices are up. Oil prices
- 31:35Speaker 1: are down. The ceasefire's on. It's off. I mean, this
- 31:39Speaker 1: scenario's been going on for months now. And it continues
- 31:43Speaker 1: to go on. Where do you see this heading?
- 31:46Speaker 6: I see it becoming another Vietnam. I mean, there is
- 31:49Speaker 6: no exit strategy. And like I said, I think we've
- 31:53Speaker 6: lost the war. I mean, they're holding all the cards.
- 31:56Speaker 6: They have the straight. There's no way we can open it.
- 31:59Speaker 6: We can't even get our Navy close to it without
- 32:01Speaker 6: putting it in harm's way. But that's not what we
- 32:05Speaker 6: were told by the Israeli intelligence. But And then, like
- 32:09Speaker 6: I said, and you could ask Xi, too, I mean,
- 32:12Speaker 6: it comes down to, are we going to nuke them?
- 32:15Speaker 6: Or are we going to do what we did in
- 32:17Speaker 6: World War II and kill civilian populations to end the war,
- 32:22Speaker 6: like we did in Japan? You're going to have to..
- 32:24Speaker 1: I can't see that happening.
- 32:26Speaker 3: No, exactly.
- 32:27Speaker 6: So, in other words, it's going to be like another Vietnam,
- 32:30Speaker 6: and it's going to go on for the next who
- 32:33Speaker 6: knows how many years.
- 32:35Speaker 1: But..
- 32:36Speaker 6: And then you're getting back to that 10-year-old video that
- 32:39Speaker 6: was abducted. What state was that in?
- 32:42Speaker 1: Minnesota.
- 32:43Speaker 6: Minnesota. And I saw that on X. And that's not
- 32:46Speaker 6: an isolated incident. If you put every incident that goes
- 32:52Speaker 6: on with these illegals that, you know, the people try
- 32:55Speaker 6: to protect them and keep them in the country, that
- 32:58Speaker 6: will never be on the national news tonight. You know
- 33:01Speaker 6: what they're going to show on CBS, NBC? They'll show
- 33:04Speaker 6: that out-of-control bison flipping the grandpa up in the air
- 33:07Speaker 6: 10 feet. But you'll never see a little girl being
- 33:11Speaker 6: abducted on the late-night news.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Listen to this for a minute. Millions of Americans are
- 33:16Speaker 1: borrowing money or draining their savings to buy groceries with
- 33:21Speaker 1: more than a quarter of working-age adults relying on credit
- 33:26Speaker 1: cards to buy groceries. About 20% of working-age adults... tapped
- 33:31Speaker 1: long-term savings not intended for everyday expenses to pay for
- 33:35Speaker 1: groceries in the last 12 months. Grocery prices have jumped 32%
- 33:40Speaker 1: over the past five years, making food affordability a top
- 33:43Speaker 1: concern for many Americans. More adults are using credit cards
- 33:47Speaker 1: to pay for groceries, but failing to make the minimum
- 33:51Speaker 1: payments to avoid interest charges, with the share rising by
- 33:55Speaker 1: 1.6 percentage points today. Since 2023, about 12% of low-
- 34:01Speaker 1: and middle-income adults who use credit cards to pay for
- 34:04Speaker 1: groceries missed a minimum payment last year, tripled the rate
- 34:10Speaker 1: for higher-income consumers. That's not good.
- 34:17Speaker 3: No, it's not.
- 34:18Speaker 6: The working poor are really getting hammered, and the middle-income people.
- 34:22Speaker 6: It's great if you have money. If you're rich, you
- 34:25Speaker 6: can make a lot of money in this environment. If
- 34:28Speaker 6: you're a middle-income or a working poor family, you're getting squeezed.
- 34:32Speaker 6: And if you're a Somalian, Haitian, or Muslim in Minnesota,
- 34:35Speaker 6: things are great for you. The U.S. will take care
- 34:39Speaker 6: of you. You don't have to worry about groceries, rent,
- 34:41Speaker 6: or anything.
- 34:42Speaker 1: But I'm going to tell you, the gap is inflation
- 34:46Speaker 1: has really affected this economy. It's horrible what it's done
- 34:50Speaker 1: to this economy. And the gap is growing too wide
- 34:54Speaker 1: between the haves and the have-nots. between the rich and
- 34:57Speaker 1: the middle class and the lower classes. The gap is
- 35:00Speaker 1: getting too wide. I mean, this needs to be paid
- 35:04Speaker 1: attention to. I mean, it just needs to be paid
- 35:08Speaker 1: attention to. When you read this kind of stuff, when
- 35:11Speaker 1: people are charging groceries and not making at least a
- 35:14Speaker 1: minimum payment on their credit card.
- 35:16Speaker 6: Do you ever watch the Saturday Night Live skits on Trump?
- 35:21Speaker 1: Not really, no.
- 35:22Speaker 6: Well, call them up on YouTube. You don't have to
- 35:24Speaker 6: watch it live. You can call them up on YouTube.
- 35:27Speaker 6: They do Trump, Haysec, all of his cabinet members. And,
- 35:31Speaker 6: you know, it's getting to be to the point now
- 35:34Speaker 6: where it's actually, yeah, that is happening.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Yeah, but here's the reality. As much as I can
- 35:40Speaker 1: criticize Trump, the Democrats aren't any better. I mean, by
- 35:44Speaker 1: any stretch. I mean, I don't want to confuse anybody.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I can criticize Trump on some of the things he did,
- 35:49Speaker 1: but I'm glad he's president, not Kamala Harris. I'm glad
- 35:53Speaker 1: he's president, not Joe Biden. And I certainly wouldn't want
- 35:56Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom as my president. I mean, you've got to
- 35:59Speaker 1: dial back and remember a lot of this inflation happened
- 36:02Speaker 1: as a result of Joe Biden's policies and the Democrat policies. Now,
- 36:06Speaker 1: Trump had it going in the right direction until he
- 36:08Speaker 1: got involved with Israel, Netanyahu, and this war. If he
- 36:12Speaker 1: wouldn't have fallen for that, for whatever reason he was
- 36:14Speaker 1: duped into it, that's how we got in this situation.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Would you give me an IA?
- 36:19Speaker 3: I don't think it was Joe Biden.
- 36:21Speaker 6: I think it was the deep state or Obama pulling
- 36:23Speaker 6: the strings.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Could be. Appreciate your call. Thank you.
- 36:26Speaker 3: Okay, Ron.
- 36:26Speaker 4: News, weather, and talk station 570 WKBN.
- 36:31Speaker 1: It's 424 on a Monday afternoon, July 13th. It's 88 degrees.
- 36:35Speaker 1: It's a hot, humid one out there. So there is
- 36:38Speaker 1: a big mess that is going on now. When you
- 36:43Speaker 1: see it happen, the stock market's up, the stock market's down,
- 36:46Speaker 1: oil prices are up, oil prices are down, the ceasefire's on,
- 36:50Speaker 1: it's off. I mean, this scenario's been going on for
- 36:53Speaker 1: months now, and it continues to go on. Where do
- 36:57Speaker 1: you see this heading?
- 36:58Speaker 6: I see it becoming another Vietnam. I mean, there is
- 37:01Speaker 6: no exit strategy, and like I said, I think we've
- 37:05Speaker 6: lost the war. I mean, they're holding all the cards.
- 37:08Speaker 6: They have the straight. There's no way we can open it.
- 37:11Speaker 6: We can't even get our Navy close to it without
- 37:14Speaker 6: putting it in harm's way. But that's not what we
- 37:17Speaker 6: were told by the Israeli intelligence. And then, like I said,
- 37:23Speaker 6: and you could ask Xi, too, I mean, it comes
- 37:25Speaker 6: down to are we going to nuke them? Are we
- 37:28Speaker 6: going to do what we did in World War II
- 37:31Speaker 6: and kill civilian civilians? populations to end the war, like
- 37:35Speaker 6: we did in Japan. You're going to have to..
- 37:37Speaker 1: I can't see that happening.
- 37:38Speaker 6: No, exactly. So, in other words, it's going to be
- 37:41Speaker 6: like another Vietnam, and it's going to go on for
- 37:44Speaker 6: the next who knows how many years. And then you're
- 37:49Speaker 6: getting back to that 10-year-old video that was abducted. What
- 37:52Speaker 6: state was that in?
- 37:54Speaker 1: Minnesota.
- 37:56Speaker 6: Minnesota. And I saw that on X, and that's not
- 37:58Speaker 6: an isolated incident. If you put every incident that goes
- 38:04Speaker 6: on with these illegals that, you know, the people try
- 38:07Speaker 6: to protect them and keep them in the country. And
- 38:10Speaker 6: that will never be on the national news tonight. You
- 38:13Speaker 6: know what they're going to show on CBS, NBC? They'll
- 38:16Speaker 6: show that out-of-control bison flipping the grandpa up in the
- 38:19Speaker 6: air 10 feet. But you'll never see a little girl
- 38:22Speaker 6: being abducted on the late-night news.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Listen to this for a minute. Millions of Americans are
- 38:29Speaker 1: borrowing money or draining their savings to buy groceries with
- 38:33Speaker 1: more than a quarter of working age adults relying on
- 38:36Speaker 1: credit card. credit cards to buy groceries. About 20% of
- 38:41Speaker 1: working-age adults tapped long-term savings not intended for everyday expenses
- 38:47Speaker 1: to pay for groceries in the last 12 months. Grocery
- 38:50Speaker 1: prices have jumped 32% over the past five years, making
- 38:54Speaker 1: food affordability a top concern for many Americans. More adults
- 38:59Speaker 1: are using credit cards to pay for groceries, but failing
- 39:02Speaker 1: to make the minimum payments to avoid interest charges, with
- 39:06Speaker 1: the share rising by 1.6 percentage points since 2023. About 12%
- 39:13Speaker 1: of low- and middle-income adults who use credit cards to
- 39:17Speaker 1: pay for groceries missed a minimum payment last year, tripled
- 39:22Speaker 1: the rate for higher- income consumers. That's not good.
- 39:29Speaker 3: No, it's not.
- 39:30Speaker 6: The working poor are really getting hammered and the middle
- 39:33Speaker 6: income people. It's great if you have money. If you're rich,
- 39:37Speaker 6: you can make a lot of money in this environment.
- 39:40Speaker 6: If you're a middle income or a working poor family,
- 39:43Speaker 6: you're getting squeezed. And if you're a Somalian, Haitian, or
- 39:47Speaker 6: Muslim in Minnesota, things are great for you. The U.S.
- 39:50Speaker 6: will take care of you. You don't have to worry
- 39:52Speaker 6: about groceries, rent, or anything.
- 39:54Speaker 1: But I'm going to tell you, the gap is inflation
- 39:58Speaker 1: has really affected this economy. It's horrible what it's done
- 40:02Speaker 1: to this economy. And the gap is growing too wide
- 40:06Speaker 1: between the haves and the have-nots, between the rich and
- 40:09Speaker 1: the middle class and the lower classes. The gap is
- 40:12Speaker 1: getting too wide. I mean, this needs to be paid
- 40:16Speaker 1: attention to. I mean, it just needs to be. paid
- 40:20Speaker 1: attention to when you read this kind of stuff, when
- 40:23Speaker 1: people are charging groceries and not making at least a
- 40:27Speaker 1: minimum payment on their credit card.
- 40:29Speaker 6: Do you ever watch the Saturday Night Live skits on Trump?
- 40:33Speaker 1: Not really, no.
- 40:34Speaker 6: Well, call him up on YouTube. You don't have to
- 40:37Speaker 6: watch it live. You can call him up on YouTube.
- 40:39Speaker 6: They do Trump, Haysec, all of his cabinet members. And,
- 40:43Speaker 6: you know, it's getting to be to the point now
- 40:46Speaker 6: where it's actually, yeah, that is happening.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Yeah, but here's the reality. As much as I can
- 40:53Speaker 1: criticize Trump, the Democrats aren't any better. I mean, by
- 40:57Speaker 1: any stretch. I mean, I don't want to confuse anybody.
- 40:59Speaker 1: I can criticize Trump on some of the things he did,
- 41:02Speaker 1: but I'm glad he's president and not Kamala Harris. I'm
- 41:05Speaker 1: glad he's president, not Joe Biden. And I certainly wouldn't
- 41:08Speaker 1: want Gavin Newsom as my president. I mean, you've got
- 41:11Speaker 1: to dial back and remember a lot of this inflation
- 41:14Speaker 1: happened as a result of Joe Biden's policies and the
- 41:16Speaker 1: Democrat policies. Now, Trump had it going in the right
- 41:20Speaker 1: direction until he got involved with Israel, Netanyahu, and this war.
- 41:24Speaker 1: If he wouldn't have fallen for that, for whatever reason
- 41:26Speaker 1: he was duped into it, that's how we got in
- 41:30Speaker 1: this situation. I don't think it was Joe Biden.
- 41:33Speaker 6: I think it was the deep state or Obama pulling
- 41:35Speaker 6: the strings.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Could be. Appreciate your call. Thank you.
- 41:38Speaker 6: Okay, Ron. Let's start here.
- 41:39Speaker 1: So good morning and welcome.
- 41:41Speaker 6: We are now underway.
- 41:42Speaker 1: We are following the events of the day. What we're
- 41:45Speaker 1: just now hearing about.
- 41:46Speaker 3: This is new information.
- 41:47Speaker 1: Throughout the day.
- 41:48Speaker 3: Good day. This is where it stands now.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Pick up the conversation.
- 41:52Speaker 6: We'll talk about what's happening.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Any time.
- 41:54Speaker 5: The deal we reached with Iran. The devil's in the details.
- 41:57Speaker 5: Bringing the price of gasoline down.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Maintain the Fed funds rate. Tying Pfizer to the save app.
- 42:01Speaker 4: NATO has been a paper tiger for the very latest.
- 42:05Speaker 1: We'll see how that all plays out.
- 42:07Speaker 4: Radio 570 WKBN.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Gas prices in Ohio are not going in the right direction.
- 42:16Speaker 2: A big jump over the past week. AAA says the
- 42:19Speaker 2: current average for regular grade is about $ 3.
- 42:21Speaker 1: 82 a gallon.
- 42:23Speaker 2: And that's about 23 cents a gallon higher compared to
- 42:26Speaker 2: last week. A 17-year-old girl is dead after a shooting
- 42:31Speaker 2: at the Weiler Homes housing complex in East Toledo. Happened
- 42:35Speaker 2: early this morning. She's identified as Zayona Jackson. No reports
- 42:40Speaker 2: of any arrests yet. Police say there was a party
- 42:43Speaker 2: outside the Weiler Homes and that the teenage girl was
- 42:46Speaker 2: gunned down outside. An Illyria man facing charges that he
- 42:50Speaker 2: fired shots in the direction of a police drone. It
- 42:54Speaker 2: happened early Friday morning as the device was being used
- 42:56Speaker 2: to investigate an alarm. Police tracked down 27-year-old Devon Grant,
- 43:01Speaker 2: whom they say admitted to the incident.
- 43:03Speaker 1: I'm Matt Reese.
- 43:05Speaker 4: Listen on the free iHeartRadio app for all your music, news, talk,
- 43:08Speaker 4: and sports radio.
- 43:10Speaker 6: Podcast, too.
- 43:11Speaker 1: Download the app.
- 43:12Speaker 4: Free never sounded so good.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Well, it's 435 here on a Monday afternoon, 87 degrees.
- 43:18Speaker 1: It's a hot human Monday, to say the least. Ron
- 43:20Speaker 1: Verb with you until the Rockport Wealth Truth in Investing
- 43:22Speaker 1: program tonight. 6-7 here on NewsRadio 570. What do you
- 43:26Speaker 1: have in your ear?
- 43:27Speaker 7: Well, we should be proud the first half.
- 43:31Speaker 3: For the Guardians.
- 43:32Speaker 7: They're in first place, buddy.
- 43:35Speaker 1: First half down, another half to go. Another half to go.
- 43:40Speaker 7: They don't have to worry like last year. Remember, they
- 43:43Speaker 7: came 18 games from 500 down. I'm thinking they can
- 43:48Speaker 7: go all the way this year.
- 43:50Speaker 1: I've seen it in the past where in the first
- 43:53Speaker 1: half of the year, It's like really outstanding. And then
- 43:56Speaker 1: something happens. You've seen it in the past. I mean,
- 43:59Speaker 1: the first half of the year is really good. And
- 44:01Speaker 1: then the second half, it just goes right down the crapper.
- 44:06Speaker 7: I know, but I don't think so. You know, what
- 44:09Speaker 7: is your opinion about the sports people? Do you think
- 44:13Speaker 7: LeBron would be welcome back to Cleveland?
- 44:16Speaker 1: Yes.
- 44:17Speaker 7: For the Cavaliers.
- 44:18Speaker 5: Yes.
- 44:19Speaker 1: I mean, he was last time, was he not? I mean,
- 44:21Speaker 1: remember when he left?
- 44:22Speaker 7: Yeah, I like LeBron.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Remember when he left and everyone was burning his jersey
- 44:25Speaker 1: and they were upset about it and everything? And you
- 44:28Speaker 1: can't blame him for leaving. I mean, he wanted to
- 44:30Speaker 1: get a championship team. And then he came back and
- 44:33Speaker 1: everybody loved him again. But I don't think that last
- 44:37Speaker 1: time I checked, I didn't think there was a possibility
- 44:39Speaker 1: that he was coming back. Wasn't he going somewhere else?
- 44:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:44Speaker 7: Yeah, well, have a good day, buddy.
- 44:45Speaker 1: All right, stick from Dayton. You're on the air.
- 44:49Speaker 5: Ron, I'm a total failure when it comes to economics
- 44:55Speaker 5: and inflation.
- 44:56Speaker 1: You're a total failure? What, did you come here for therapy?
- 45:01Speaker 5: No, I'm a total failure when it comes to educating
- 45:06Speaker 5: you on economics and monetary inflation.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Uh-oh.
- 45:12Speaker 3: You, uh..
- 45:13Speaker 5: Keep saying Biden, the inflation is a legacy of Joe Biden. She, too,
- 45:22Speaker 5: thinks that Congress has the power to create money. Ron,
- 45:28Speaker 5: how many times have I said that Trump can stop
- 45:32Speaker 5: inflation immediately? All he's got to do is tell Kevin Warsh,
- 45:38Speaker 5: the chairman of the Federal Reserve, stop creating money immediately.
- 45:43Speaker 5: in excess of the economic growth rate, and inflation will
- 45:47Speaker 5: go to zero run.
- 45:50Speaker 1: Really?
- 45:52Speaker 5: Yes, it will. Tell your audience what I used to
- 45:55Speaker 5: do for a living before I retired.
- 45:59Speaker 1: What you used to do for a living?
- 46:01Speaker 5: Yeah, certified financial planner.
- 46:04Speaker 1: I thought you were a mafia hitman.
- 46:07Speaker 5: Now, you would think if anybody knows... about what causes
- 46:12Speaker 5: inflation would be me.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Well, I don't necessarily agree when you're talking about inflation.
- 46:19Speaker 1: There's many things that create inflation. There just isn't one
- 46:22Speaker 1: thing that creates inflation. Anytime, for example, anytime you have
- 46:26Speaker 1: energy prices that go up, that creates inflation. I mean,
- 46:31Speaker 1: we can talk about any number of things. No, hang on.
- 46:35Speaker 1: If wages go up, If wages go up, costs have
- 46:39Speaker 1: to be passed along. So consequently, as I say, when
- 46:43Speaker 1: you have oil prices go up, that creates inflation. When
- 46:46Speaker 1: you have, let's say, when people would argue about the
- 46:49Speaker 1: minimum wage for years, and now a lot of places
- 46:52Speaker 1: are paying $ 13, $ 15 an hour because of what they
- 46:55Speaker 1: call labor shortages. They have to pay more to get
- 46:58Speaker 1: people to show up at a lot of these fast
- 47:00Speaker 1: food places. Well, guess what? When they have to pay
- 47:02Speaker 1: the help more, When you look at the menu, the
- 47:05Speaker 1: prices have gone up. I mean, you want to act
- 47:08Speaker 1: like one thing creates inflation. It isn't just one thing.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Government policy can create inflation. Obviously, when they printed more money,
- 47:19Speaker 1: it made the existing supply and demand, it made the
- 47:21Speaker 1: existing money worth less supply and demand. What they did
- 47:26Speaker 1: was they screwed everybody's savings and paycheck. By that policy.
- 47:32Speaker 1: So I don't think you need to apologize. I get
- 47:35Speaker 1: a total grip on what creates inflation. I've lived it, well,
- 47:42Speaker 1: as long as you have. I've been through Carter. I've
- 47:45Speaker 1: been through stagflation. I've watched this stuff happen. And if
- 47:50Speaker 1: you're asking me, does government policy create it? Outside of the,
- 47:54Speaker 1: you know, the Fed obviously can create it. And they
- 47:57Speaker 1: can also fix it in many ways. in many cases.
- 48:00Speaker 1: But I go back to say this. This mess in
- 48:03Speaker 1: the Middle East is creating inflation. If you have $ 4
- 48:07Speaker 1: a gallon gas or higher, that cost is passed on.
- 48:10Speaker 1: When it comes to shipping companies, when it comes to
- 48:13Speaker 1: farmers buying diesel, that creates inflation right there. I mean,
- 48:18Speaker 1: I don't know where you want to go with what
- 48:20Speaker 1: creates inflation.
- 48:23Speaker 5: Well, this is why I say I've been a total failure.
- 48:27Speaker 5: Because number one, I've never said that monetary inflation, which
- 48:33Speaker 5: is increasing the money supply in excess of the economic
- 48:38Speaker 5: growth rate, is the only thing that causes inflation. If
- 48:42Speaker 5: the dollar goes down in value versus other foreign currencies,
- 48:47Speaker 5: that causes inflation as well. But higher energy prices does
- 48:54Speaker 5: not cause inflation, and it certainly doesn't cause inflation. monetary inflation,
- 48:59Speaker 5: higher energy prices, cause recessions, or if they go high enough,
- 49:08Speaker 5: even global depressions. What will happen is if energy prices
- 49:15Speaker 5: go up and there's no monetary inflation, capital will begin
- 49:21Speaker 5: exiting oil and natural gas into lower cost energies like
- 49:28Speaker 5: solar so that's what I want the audience to understand
- 49:34Speaker 5: and also there's no oil shortages exist There's plenty of oil, Ron.
- 49:42Speaker 5: There are only planned scarcities engineered for the benefit of
- 49:46Speaker 5: the ruling classes. Ron, eight of the biggest banks have
- 49:50Speaker 5: made from $ 4 to $ 45 billion in profits. In the
- 49:55Speaker 5: first quarter of 2026, oil cartel producers and their privileged
- 50:01Speaker 5: traders are making massive profits, including Donald and Barron Trump
- 50:06Speaker 5: and their friends and family. You know, I've spent all
- 50:09Speaker 5: day today because Trump keeps giving me a gift. Every
- 50:14Speaker 5: time he says that, well, the war in the Middle
- 50:17Speaker 5: East is going to continue on, what happens to the
- 50:20Speaker 5: stock market? It crashed again today. So I've been busy
- 50:25Speaker 5: buying gold, silver, oh, and especially nuclear mining companies. They
- 50:34Speaker 5: were way down today. And I tell you, I got
- 50:38Speaker 5: to thank, as much as I think Donald Trump is
- 50:42Speaker 5: one of the most corrupt and worst presidents we've ever had,
- 50:46Speaker 5: I'll give him credit for him allowing me to buy
- 50:50Speaker 5: stocks and other investments at bargain basement prices. And I
- 50:56Speaker 5: tell you, the market closed at 4 today. That's why
- 50:59Speaker 5: I called your show. But I still have more orders
- 51:02Speaker 5: to put in for tomorrow in case he says, Well,
- 51:05Speaker 5: we're going to have another peace deal with Iran. And
- 51:09Speaker 5: what will happen? It'll go way up. Ron, you know
- 51:13Speaker 5: that every time Trump says that we're going to have
- 51:18Speaker 5: peace in the Middle East, what happens? All of a sudden,
- 51:24Speaker 5: stop call options. There's a big right before he makes
- 51:29Speaker 5: the announcement. There's huge orders. for stocks and stock options
- 51:35Speaker 5: and other derivatives because obviously somebody knows at a time
- 51:39Speaker 5: he's going to make these uh..
- 51:42Speaker 3: Uh..
- 51:42Speaker 5: Announcements and they're getting filthy rich off of this me
- 51:46Speaker 5: and you aren't getting filthy rich well i mean i'm
- 51:51Speaker 5: i'm making money because as soon as he makes those
- 51:54Speaker 5: announcements i immediately log in to my mutual fund company
- 51:59Speaker 5: and start putting orders in left and right for stocks.
- 52:04Speaker 5: Or like today, putting in orders. I waited until about 2,
- 52:09Speaker 5: 2.30 as everything went way down. That's when I started
- 52:13Speaker 5: putting orders in. I can't thank Trump enough for making
- 52:17Speaker 5: me some, giving me opportunities to buy stocks at bargain
- 52:23Speaker 5: basement prices, which he did again today. And as far,
- 52:27Speaker 5: you know, Trump has depleted the strategic petroleum reserve by 40% now.
- 52:33Speaker 5: And Exxon Senior Vice President Neil Chapman said, we are
- 52:37Speaker 5: approaching on herd of low inventory levels. And once these
- 52:41Speaker 5: reserves are gone, we will see prices shoot up. And
- 52:46Speaker 5: according to the numbers I've seen, global stockpiles should be
- 52:50Speaker 5: exhausted by the end of this month. In storage tanks
- 52:54Speaker 5: for oil, diesel, gasoline in Europe, are now at full
- 52:58Speaker 5: capacity and can handle no more. Some inventories could be
- 53:03Speaker 5: wiped out in weeks, and oil executives have warned just
- 53:07Speaker 5: in time for peak summer travel season. And I have
- 53:11Speaker 5: absolutely no doubt the White House, from Trump on down,
- 53:15Speaker 5: is fully aware of the alarm among oil analysts about
- 53:18Speaker 5: the direction of travel for oil prices. And according to
- 53:23Speaker 5: Bob McNally, he was an energy advisor to George Bush,
- 53:27Speaker 5: and the founder of the Rapid Energy Group, he said
- 53:31Speaker 5: the strategic petroleum reserve is down to 349 billion barrels,
- 53:37Speaker 5: the lowest last seen since 1983. Now, the exact date
- 53:43Speaker 5: reserves start to run dry is difficult to calculate because
- 53:47Speaker 5: they cannot be run all the way down. But millions
- 53:51Speaker 5: of barrels of oil need to remain in the pipelines
- 53:55Speaker 5: and refineries to keep the system from breaking down. And
- 54:00Speaker 5: the critical moment could come by the end of this summer. Rodney,
- 54:06Speaker 5: I will agree with you 100%. We're in a lot
- 54:10Speaker 5: of trouble.
- 54:12Speaker 1: I'll say it again. Listen, I don't care if it
- 54:16Speaker 1: offends people or not. You've got to call him as
- 54:18Speaker 1: you see him. Trump started a mess with this situation
- 54:21Speaker 1: in Iran. And I think he thought... He was sold
- 54:25Speaker 1: a bill of goods by Netanyahu. He was sold a
- 54:27Speaker 1: bill of goods by Israeli intelligence. He thought he could
- 54:30Speaker 1: get in and get out, and it would be over
- 54:33Speaker 1: in no time. And he's got every right to be
- 54:37Speaker 1: pissed at them. But he ultimately made the final decision.
- 54:40Speaker 1: And you've heard we're close to a deal. We're close
- 54:42Speaker 1: to a deal. You've heard that for the longest period
- 54:45Speaker 1: of time. And then, of course, we got the 60-day ceasefire,
- 54:48Speaker 1: and now that's not working out. I mean, it's just
- 54:51Speaker 1: like you're right back to the beginning here. You're right
- 54:55Speaker 1: back to this. And like you say, the market's down.
- 54:58Speaker 1: Oil prices are going back up. And there's no end
- 55:02Speaker 1: in sight. There's absolutely no end in sight. And this
- 55:06Speaker 1: idea that if you bomb them some more, that should
- 55:08Speaker 1: bring them to their knees. Well, we bombed them a
- 55:10Speaker 1: hell of a lot. Like, you know, I heard that. Well,
- 55:14Speaker 1: their Navy's gone. It's at the bottom of the sea.
- 55:18Speaker 1: And we own the skies. I mean, I've heard all
- 55:23Speaker 1: of this stuff. So now what do you want to do?
- 55:27Speaker 5: Well, you know, the war with Iran, I've always said,
- 55:31Speaker 5: I believe, is manufactured. I said on day two, you
- 55:35Speaker 5: look at the Iranian parliament building, and it looks like
- 55:40Speaker 5: an Illuminati period. You know, I think the high-ranking members
- 55:45Speaker 5: of the Iranian generals, The top politicians, same with Israel,
- 55:54Speaker 5: their top generals, our top generals, they're all in on this.
- 55:59Speaker 5: They wanted this war. They're getting filthy rich, Ron. I
- 56:04Speaker 5: think they're.
- 56:05Speaker 3: Going to drag this around as long as.
- 56:07Speaker 5: Possible and prolong it because they're making tons and tons
- 56:11Speaker 5: of money.
- 56:12Speaker 1: I mean, was it Eisenhower that said, beware the industrial complex?
- 56:18Speaker 1: Make no mistake about it. There's a lot of people
- 56:21Speaker 1: that make a lot of money with these type of conflicts,
- 56:24Speaker 1: and it's good business for them. I don't care if
- 56:27Speaker 1: they're building the bombs or selling you the supplies for
- 56:30Speaker 1: those bombs. What do they say? Just about every congressional
- 56:33Speaker 1: district out there or every state has some type of
- 56:37Speaker 1: military facility in it. So when it comes to producing
- 56:41Speaker 1: some of the equipment so that it's a lot of pressure, well,
- 56:44Speaker 1: you want to protect these jobs, don't you? You can't
- 56:46Speaker 1: vote against increasing military spending. Did you see where 80%
- 56:52Speaker 1: of our federal discretionary spending, 80% of our federal discretionary
- 56:58Speaker 1: spending It goes to the military. We used to spend
- 57:04Speaker 1: $ 900 billion on the military. It's now $ 1. 5 trillion. Just
- 57:11Speaker 1: think about what I'm saying. You get numbers. So we
- 57:14Speaker 1: went from $ 900 billion to $ 1. 5 trillion. spent on the military,
- 57:20Speaker 1: and they've been unable to account for how that money's
- 57:23Speaker 1: been spent for years, right? They've been absolutely unable to
- 57:29Speaker 1: show how that money's been spent. When you sit back
- 57:33Speaker 1: and you say, well, wait a minute, 80% of our
- 57:35Speaker 1: discretionary spending is going there? What about the American people?
- 57:39Speaker 1: What about the fact that Social Security is in bad
- 57:41Speaker 1: shape and could use a few billion put into that?
- 57:45Speaker 1: What about Medicare, which is in bad shape? Now, these
- 57:48Speaker 1: are entitlement programs. No, they're earned programs. So what about
- 57:54Speaker 1: bolstering programs for our senior citizens and helping out Social
- 57:58Speaker 1: Security by infusing some money into it instead of 80%
- 58:03Speaker 1: of this discretionary money going to the military? What about
- 58:08Speaker 1: bolstering Medicare? Hell, you could even make an argument. I mean,
- 58:14Speaker 1: the military spending is out of control today. This is
- 58:17Speaker 1: absolutely ridiculous today.
- 58:20Speaker 5: I think it was 1965, the first time that Congress
- 58:25Speaker 5: authorized auditing the military budget.
- 58:29Speaker 1: And they can't complete one.
- 58:30Speaker 5: And Ron Paul says they have never, never passed a budget.
- 58:37Speaker 5: There's always hundreds of millions, and now hundreds of billions
- 58:41Speaker 5: of dollars unaccounted for.
- 58:43Speaker 1: Yeah, missing.
- 58:44Speaker 5: And you know, according to the Constitution, the Founding Fathers said...
- 58:49Speaker 5: If the military can't account for any money they get,
- 58:55Speaker 5: then they're not supposed to get any more until they
- 58:59Speaker 5: can account for every penny that they have and that
- 59:02Speaker 5: they've spent.
- 59:03Speaker 1: But it's hard for people to understand which to understand,
- 59:06Speaker 1: that the military has never been able to pass these audits.
- 59:12Speaker 6: Period.
- 59:13Speaker 7: Period.
- 59:13Speaker 1: So now we're going from $ 900 billion to $ 1. 5 trillion. 80%
- 59:21Speaker 1: of the discretional federal income going to the military, which
- 59:25Speaker 1: can't account for for the $ 900 billion and where it's gone.
- 59:30Speaker 1: And I go back to say, at the same time
- 59:33Speaker 1: when we need to figure out how to fix Social Security,
- 59:37Speaker 1: at the same time when we need to figure out
- 59:39Speaker 1: how to fix Medicare, should all this money be going
- 59:42Speaker 1: to the military and not using some of it in
- 59:46Speaker 1: other arenas that benefit the American people?
- 59:48Speaker 5: Ron, I wanted to say something quick about Vietnam.
- 59:50Speaker 1: I can't. I've got to go. Thank you. Now, Ron Verb.
- 59:55Speaker 4: On NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 59:58Speaker 1: Well, it's 435 here on a Monday afternoon, 87 degrees.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: It's a hot, humid Monday, to say the least. Ron
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Verb with you until the Rockport Wealth Truth in Investing
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: program tonight, 6 to 7 here on NewsRadio 570 WKBN,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: and you're on the air.
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: Well, we should be proud the first half.
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: For the Guardians.
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: They're in first place, buddy.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: First half down, another half to go. Another half to go.
- 1:00:24Speaker 7: They don't have to worry like last year. Remember, they
- 1:00:26Speaker 7: came 18 games from 500 down. I'm thinking they can
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: go all the way this year.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: I've seen it in the past where the first half
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: of the year is really outstanding, and then something happens.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: You've seen it in the past. I mean, the first
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: half of the year is really good, and then the
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: second half, it just goes right down the crapper.
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: I know, but I don't think so. You know, what
- 1:00:53Speaker 7: is your opinion about the sports people? Do you think
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: LeBron would be welcome back to Cleveland for the Cavaliers?
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: I mean, he was last time, was he not? I mean,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: remember when he left?
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: Yeah, I like LeBron.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: Remember when he left and everyone was burning his jersey
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: and they were upset about it and everything? And you
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: can't blame him for leaving. I mean, he wanted to
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: get a championship team. And then he came back and
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: everybody loved him again. But I don't think that... Last
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: time I checked, I didn't think there was a possibility
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: that he was coming back. Wasn't he going somewhere else? Yeah.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: Well, have a good day, buddy.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: All right. It's Dick from Dayton. You're on the air.
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: Ron, I'm a total failure when it comes to economics
- 1:01:39Speaker 5: and inflation.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: You're a total failure? What, did you come here for therapy?
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: No. I'm a total failure when it comes to Educating
- 1:01:49Speaker 5: you on economics and monetary inflation.
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: Uh-oh.
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: You keep saying, Biden, the inflation is a legacy of
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: Joe Biden. She, too, thinks that Congress has the power
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: to create money. Ron, how many times have I said
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: that Trump can stop inflation immediately? All he's got to
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: do is tell Kevin Warsh, the chairman of the Federal Reserve,
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: stop creating money in excess of the economic growth rate,
- 1:02:30Speaker 5: and inflation will go to zero run.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: Really?
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: Yes, it will. Tell your audience what I used to
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: do for a living before I retired.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: What you used to do for a living?
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: You were a certified financial planner.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: I thought you were a mafia hitman.
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: Now, you would think if anybody knows about what causes inflation,
- 1:02:56Speaker 5: it would be me.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Well, I don't necessarily agree when you're talking about inflation.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: There's many things that create inflation. There just isn't one
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: thing that creates inflation. Anytime, for example, anytime you have
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: energy prices that go up, that creates inflation. I mean,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: we can talk about any number of things. No, no,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: hang on. If wages go up. If wages go up,
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: costs have to be passed along. So consequently, as I say,
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: when you have oil prices go up, that creates inflation.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: When you have, let's say, when people would argue about
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: the minimum wage for years, and now a lot of
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: places are paying $ 13, $ 15 an hour because of what
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: they call labor shortages. They have to pay more to
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: get people to show up at a lot of these
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: fast food places. Well, guess what? When they have to
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: pay the help more, When you look at the menu,
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: the prices have gone up. I mean, you want to
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: act like one thing creates inflation. It isn't just one thing.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Government policy can create inflation. Obviously, when they printed more money,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: it made the existing supply and demand. Worth less supply
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: and demand. What they did was they screwed everybody's savings
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: and paycheck by that policy. So I don't think you
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: need to apologize. I get a total grip on what
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: creates inflation. I've lived it as long as you have.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: I've been through Carter. I've been through stagflation. I've watched
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: this stuff happen. And if you're asking me, does government
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: policy create it outside of the, you know, the Fed
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: obviously can create it. And they can also fix it
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: in many cases. But I go back to say this.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: This mess in the Middle East is creating inflation. If
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: you have $ 4 a gallon gas or higher, that cost
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: is passed on when it comes to shipping companies, when
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: it comes to farmers buying diesel. that creates inflation right there.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know where you want to go
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: with what creates inflation.
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: Well, this is why I say I've been a total failure.
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: Because number one, I've never said that monetary inflation, which
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: is increasing the money supply in excess of the economic
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: growth rate, is the only thing that causes inflation. If
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: the dollar goes down in value, versus other foreign currencies,
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: that causes inflation as well. But higher energy prices does
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: not cause inflation, and it certainly doesn't cause monetary inflation.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: What do you mean?
- 1:05:43Speaker 5: Higher energy prices cause recessions, or if they go high enough,
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: even global depressions. What will happen is if energy prices
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: go up and there's no monetary inflation, capital will begin
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: exiting oil and natural gas into lower-cost energies like solar.
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: So that's what I want the audience to understand. And also,
- 1:06:19Speaker 5: there's no oil shortages exist. There's plenty of oil, Ron.
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: There are only planned scarcities engineered for the benefit of
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: the ruling classes. Well, eight of the biggest banks have
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: made from $ 4 to $ 45 billion in profits. In the
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: first quarter of 2026, oil cartel producers and their privileged
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: traders are making massive profits, including Donald and Barron Trump
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: and their friends and family. You know, I've spent all
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: day today Because Trump keeps giving me a gift. Every
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: time he says that, well, the war in the Middle
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: East is going to continue on, what happens to the
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: stock market? It crashed again today. So I've been busy
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: buying gold, silver, oh, and especially nuclear mining companies. They
- 1:07:18Speaker 5: were way down today. And I tell you, I got
- 1:07:21Speaker 5: to thank As much as I think Donald Trump is
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: one of the most corrupt and worst presidents we've ever had,
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: I'll give him credit for him allowing me to buy
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: stocks and other investments at bargain basement prices. And I
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: tell you, the market closed at 4 today. That's why
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: I called your show. But I still have more orders
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: to put in for tomorrow. In case he says, well,
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: we're going to have another peace deal with Iran tomorrow.
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: And what'll happen? It'll go way up. Ron, you know
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: that every time Trump says that we're going to have
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: peace in the Middle East, what happens? All of a sudden,
- 1:08:08Speaker 5: stock call options, there's a big, right before he makes
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: the announcement, there's huge orders for stocks and stock options
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: and other derivatives that Because obviously somebody knows ahead of
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: time he's going to make these announcements. And they're getting
- 1:08:28Speaker 5: filthy rich off of this. Me and you aren't getting
- 1:08:31Speaker 5: filthy rich. Well, I mean, I'm making money because as
- 1:08:36Speaker 5: soon as he makes those announcements, I immediately log in
- 1:08:41Speaker 5: to my mutual fund company and start putting orders in
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: left and right for stocks. Or like today. putting in orders.
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: I waited until about 2, 2.30 as everything went way down.
- 1:08:55Speaker 5: That's when I started putting orders in. I can't thank
- 1:08:59Speaker 5: Trump enough for giving me opportunities to buy stocks at
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: bargain basement prices, which he did again today. And as far,
- 1:09:10Speaker 5: you know, Trump has depleted the strategic petroleum reserve by 40% now.
- 1:09:16Speaker 5: And Exxon Senior Vice President Neil Chapman said, we are
- 1:09:20Speaker 5: approaching unheard of low inventory levels. And once these reserves
- 1:09:26Speaker 5: are gone, we will see prices shoot up. And according
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: to the numbers I've seen, global stockpiles should be exhausted
- 1:09:34Speaker 5: by the end of this month. And storage tanks for oil, diesel,
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: gasoline in Europe are now at full capacity and can
- 1:09:43Speaker 5: handle no more. One, some inventories could be wiped out
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: in weeks, and oil executives have warned just in time
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: for peak summer travel season. And I have absolutely no
- 1:09:56Speaker 5: doubt the White House, from Trump on down, is fully
- 1:09:59Speaker 5: aware of the alarm among oil analysts about the direction
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: of travel for oil prices. And according to Bob McNally,
- 1:10:07Speaker 5: he was an energy advisor to George Bush and the
- 1:10:11Speaker 5: founder of the Rapid Energy Group. He said the Strategic
- 1:10:16Speaker 5: Petroleum Reserve is down to 349 billion barrels, the lowest
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: last seen since 1983. Now, the exact date reserves start
- 1:10:27Speaker 5: to run dry is difficult to calculate because they cannot
- 1:10:31Speaker 5: be run all the way down. But millions of barrels
- 1:10:35Speaker 5: of oil need to remain in the pipelines and refineries
- 1:10:39Speaker 5: to keep the system from breaking down. in the critical moment,
- 1:10:45Speaker 5: could come by the end of this summer. Rodney, I
- 1:10:49Speaker 5: will agree with you 100%. We're in a lot of trouble.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: I'll say it again. Listen, I don't care if it
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: offends people or not. You've got to call him as
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: you see him. Trump started a mess with this situation
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: in Iran. And I think he thought... He was sold
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: a bill of goods by Netanyahu. He was sold a
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: bill of goods by Israeli intelligence. He thought he could
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: get in and get out, and it would be over
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: in no time. And he's got every right to be
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: pissed at them. But he ultimately made the final decision.
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: And you've heard we're close to a deal. We're close
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: to a deal. You've heard that for the longest period
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: of time. And then, of course, we got the 60-day ceasefire,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: and now that's not working out. I mean, it's just
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: like you're right back to the beginning here. You're right
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: back to this. And like you say, the market's down.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Oil prices are going back up. And there's no end
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: in sight. There's absolutely no end in sight. And this
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: idea that if you bomb them some more, that should
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: bring them to their knees. Well, we bombed them a
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: hell of a lot. Like, you know, I heard that. Well,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: their Navy's gone. It's at the bottom of the sea.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: And we own the skies. I mean, I've heard all
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: of this stuff. So now what do you want to do?
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: Well, you know, the war with Iran, I've always said,
- 1:12:15Speaker 5: I believe, is manufactured. I said on day two, you
- 1:12:18Speaker 5: look at the Iranian parliament building, and it looks like
- 1:12:24Speaker 5: an Illuminati period. You know, I think the high-ranking members
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: of the Iranian generals, The top politicians, same with Israel,
- 1:12:37Speaker 5: their top generals, our top generals, they're all in on this.
- 1:12:43Speaker 5: They wanted this war. They're getting filthy rich, Ron. I
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: think they're going.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: To drag this war on as long.
- 1:12:50Speaker 5: As possible and prolong it because they're making tons and
- 1:12:55Speaker 5: tons of money.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: I mean, was it Eisenhower that said, beware the industrial complex?
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: Make no mistake about it. There's a lot of people
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: that make a lot of money with these type of conflicts.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: And it's good business for them. I don't care if
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: they're building the bombs or selling you the supplies for
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: those bombs. What do they say? Just about every congressional
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: district out there or every state has some type of
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: military facility in it. So when it comes to producing
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: some of the equipment so that... You know, it's a
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: lot of pressure. Well, you want to protect these jobs,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: don't you? You can't vote against increasing military spending. Did
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: you see where 80% of our federal discretionary spending, 80%
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: of our federal discretionary spending goes to the military? We
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: used to spend $ 900 billion on the military. It's now
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: $ 1. 5 trillion. Just think about what I'm saying. You get numbers.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: So we went from $ 900 billion to $ 1. 5 trillion spent
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: on the military, and they've been unable to account for
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: how that money's been spent for years, right? They've been
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: absolutely unable to show how that money's been spent. So
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: when you sit back and you say, well, wait a minute, 80%
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: of our discretionary spending is going there? What about the
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: American people? What about the fact that Social Security is
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: in bad shape and could use a few billion put
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: into that? What about Medicare, which is in bad shape? Now,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: these are entitlement programs. No, they're earned programs. So what
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: about bolstering programs for our senior citizens and helping out
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: Social Security by infusing some money into it instead of 80%
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: of this discretionary money going to the Military. What about
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: bolstering Medicare? Hell, you could even make an argument. I mean,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: the military spending is out of control today. This is
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: absolutely ridiculous.
- 1:15:03Speaker 5: I think it was 1965, the first time that Congress
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: authorized auditing the military budget.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: And they can't complete one. And Ron Paul says..
- 1:15:16Speaker 5: They have never, never passed a budget. There's always hundreds
- 1:15:22Speaker 5: of millions and now hundreds of billions of dollars unaccounted for.
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: Yeah, missing.
- 1:15:28Speaker 5: And you know, according to the Constitution, the Founding Fathers
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: said if the military can't account for any money they get,
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: then they're not supposed to get any more until they
- 1:15:42Speaker 5: can account for every penny that they have and that
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: they've spent.
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: But it's hard for people to understand, which to understand,
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: that the military has never been able to pass these audits.
- 1:15:55Speaker 6: Period.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: Period. So now we're going from $ 900 billion to $ 1. 5 trillion. 80%
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: of the discretional federal income going to the military, which
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: can't account for... for the $ 900 billion and where it's gone.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: And I go back to say, at the same time
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: when we need to figure out how to fix Social Security,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: at the same time when we need to figure out
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: how to fix Medicare, should all this money be going
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: to the military and not using some of it in
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: other arenas that benefit the American people? I can't. I've
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: got to go. Thank you.
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: I mean, I don't understand how that's even acceptable that
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: the military's never been able to account for all of
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: this money. But how you go from $ 900 billion to
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: $ 1. 5 trillion, that you increase military spending. There are other
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: problems that we have in our country. 80% of our
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: discretionary income should not be going to military spending. There
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: are other issues that should be addressed affecting the American
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: people where some of that money should be going. And
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: I say it again. We should be putting some of
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: that money to bolster Social Security, which they're saying is
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: in serious financial condition within seven years. Medicare, which has
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: financial issues. This is about earned benefits for senior citizens. Hell,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: I even understand the argument to be made where people
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: are saying when it comes to Obamacare and how their
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: premium prices have increased tremendously. I understand that. But even
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: they're saying some of this money can't be used to
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: benefit the American people with some of the issues that
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: they're facing as a result of the economic times or
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: the inflation that's going on. that it's all going 80%
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: to the military. It doesn't make a damn bit of
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: sense when you can't account for the money you're getting now.
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: And Trump has created a mess here. And I will
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: not be a cheerleader for anybody. He was duped into
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: this by Netanyahu and by Israel. He thought it would
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: be quicker than it is. And it's just dragging on.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: And there truly is no end in sight. And we
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: all have to live with what's going on. Right back
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: to $ 4 gasoline. Right back to inflation coming back up
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: as a result of these decisions. This should have never
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: happened in the first place. I was perfectly satisfied with
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: the bunker buster. and the dust being buried in the mountain.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: To go down the road that he's gone down now,
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: and now he's trying to look for an exit ramp,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: and he thought he has one, but guess what? They're
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: never working out. Deal's close. Deal's close. We don't get
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: a deal. And I'm getting a little sick and tired
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: of it. But we all are paying the price for
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: these decisions. And it's a serious price when it comes
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: to inflation and energy. And the depletion of strategic oil
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: reserves ends. Where do we go as this goes on
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: with our oil prices? I mean, some of that stuff...
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: I don't poo-poo all these oil experts, as many have done.
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: I do not. This is an ongoing situation. And we'll
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: take more calls coming up. G2 later. Here till 6.
