- 0:00Speaker 1: Bootleg cap Podcast. Special guests came all the way from
- 0:03Speaker 1: New York City. Man out here shooting music videos, doing
- 0:05Speaker 1: big shit. Nick Bucks, Yeah, with's sub cat. Welcome man,
- 0:08Speaker 1: Thank you Rob representing Harlem, Sir. For people who don't
- 0:12Speaker 1: know who you are, Man, kind of give me like
- 0:13Speaker 1: a little background and like, obviously you're from Harlem, but
- 0:16Speaker 1: just kind of how long you've been rapping and kind
- 0:19Speaker 1: of you know, you've obviously been killing it. I told
- 0:21Speaker 1: you you had one of my favorite albums. It was
- 0:23Speaker 1: like early twenty twenty one year album drop right, Yeah,
- 0:26Speaker 1: I like right after was it. I don't know if
- 0:28Speaker 1: it was Quarantina right after, might be right after, Yeah,
- 0:32Speaker 1: But nah, Man, give everybody kind of run down man,
- 0:34Speaker 1: just kind of your history books. East Harlem, you know
- 0:37Speaker 1: what I mean, Young Spider, you know, one of the
- 0:39Speaker 1: hardest from my size. You know, just real story, real authentic,
- 0:44Speaker 1: authentic music, you know what I mean. I fuck with
- 0:47Speaker 1: the people. Yeah, I've been to East Harlem once, No twice.
- 0:53Speaker 1: I got off on the train at the wrong stop.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I was in Harlem and then I got
- 0:58Speaker 1: off early. I got off with the wrong stop to
- 1:00Speaker 1: go see a girl like I don't know ten years ago,
- 1:02Speaker 1: so shout out to Harlem and then I was out
- 1:04Speaker 1: there shout out to both Degga bands. I got yep,
- 1:07Speaker 1: Barrio for sure. He's definitely an East hallm representative. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:10Speaker 1: I go Hall for that. I'm affod to cut you over,
- 1:12Speaker 1: but I go Hall for the East Side because you know,
- 1:14Speaker 1: when people think about Hall of Them, they think about,
- 1:16Speaker 1: you know, one area, you know, like of course Dip said,
- 1:19Speaker 1: you know, forty eighth Linux, but it's bigger than that.
- 1:22Speaker 1: The East Halem is like our own little lane, you
- 1:24Speaker 1: know what, I'm right, And it's like heavily like Latin
- 1:26Speaker 1: community as well too, right, No, it's diverse. It's diverse, ok,
- 1:29Speaker 1: Like East Hall them is very You got Jamaicans, you
- 1:31Speaker 1: got African American, you got Puerto Rican, you got the Dominican, Mexican,
- 1:35Speaker 1: you got were real diverse, but were small, but you know,
- 1:38Speaker 1: were real diverse, did you feel like, because you know,
- 1:41Speaker 1: with the Brant prices in Manhattan are so crazy, it's
- 1:45Speaker 1: like insane. Sometimes I just get bored and go on
- 1:48Speaker 1: Zillo and just look at apartments in New York just
- 1:50Speaker 1: to see and I'm like, fuck, has there been like
- 1:53Speaker 1: a lot of gentrification in Harlem because it feels like
- 1:55Speaker 1: Harlem is still kind of like an extension of Manhattan,
- 1:58Speaker 1: but it's probably a lot more affordab with a lot
- 2:00Speaker 1: of people been moving in in that area and shit,
- 2:02Speaker 1: now it is it is. You know, we got it's
- 2:04Speaker 1: malls being built, you know, all kinds of things. So
- 2:07Speaker 1: you know, when things like that come into the community,
- 2:09Speaker 1: they gentrified, you know what I mean, It makes things
- 2:11Speaker 1: more expensive one hundred percent. So like is it becoming
- 2:14Speaker 1: like a lot like least affordable to stay in your
- 2:17Speaker 1: own hood? Now? Yeah, they got they got these new buildings.
- 2:20Speaker 1: They got a lot of new buildings being made, you know,
- 2:22Speaker 1: like with a lot of amenities and stuff like that.
- 2:26Speaker 1: So you know it was a very expensive. Yeah, I
- 2:29Speaker 1: see it changing. How long have you been rapping? I
- 2:33Speaker 1: want to say I took raps serious, like when I
- 2:36Speaker 1: was sixteen. I've been rapping way before that. I fell
- 2:38Speaker 1: in love with it like when I was nine, of course,
- 2:40Speaker 1: or what made you fall in love with it? G Unit?
- 2:44Speaker 1: You know, the Unit was like a big influence to me.
- 2:47Speaker 1: My dad used to sell like old school music, so
- 2:49Speaker 1: when I was a kid four three five years old,
- 2:53Speaker 1: he would push me around while he sold this music.
- 2:55Speaker 1: So he would tell like love like burn CDs type
- 2:58Speaker 1: shit he would sell. At the time, it was tapes.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Then CDs came a little That's what I used to do.
- 3:03Speaker 1: That's how I got my name. I used to be
- 3:05Speaker 1: at the Swat meet, was fucking CDs, mixtapes, all the
- 3:08Speaker 1: junet radio shit. I used to be fucking getting it in.
- 3:12Speaker 1: So definitely pirrating a lot of people's music back in
- 3:15Speaker 1: the day before I was anybody. Well year it was done?
- 3:18Speaker 1: You said two thousand, uh four oh five oh six? Okay, CD?
- 3:24Speaker 1: That's like when did CDs come in? I don't even remember.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I just remember the transition the nineties nineties, right, Yeah,
- 3:29Speaker 1: it was the nineties. It was like, nah, it might
- 3:31Speaker 1: not have been in the nineties. It was early nineties. Yeah.
- 3:36Speaker 1: When I was a kid, I had Dogs You Stay
- 3:37Speaker 1: on CD. No, I had it on tape, but then
- 3:39Speaker 1: I got it on CD and like, yeah, CDs was
- 3:42Speaker 1: like mid nineties because I had I bought uh, like,
- 3:45Speaker 1: what what would you say, man, I bought a quimini
- 3:47Speaker 1: from Walmart. So it was probably like ninety seven where
- 3:50Speaker 1: it was like kind of like the norm ninety It
- 3:55Speaker 1: was like ninety six, ninety seven, ninety eight was kind
- 3:58Speaker 1: of like because I remember buying CDs. I don't remember
- 4:01Speaker 1: many tapes, but Boys the Men in Bone. Yeah, well
- 4:07Speaker 1: look when CDs came out, people still kind of use
- 4:09Speaker 1: cassette tapes. Yeah, same thing with now people Like there's
- 4:12Speaker 1: still people who have CD books. I don't know who
- 4:15Speaker 1: they are. They don't even make college Like you know
- 4:16Speaker 1: what they say. Country music still sell CDs. So if
- 4:21Speaker 1: you go to Walmart ever, they still got CDs there,
- 4:23Speaker 1: but it's all country. Yeah tough. I don't know. I
- 4:26Speaker 1: think some of them rednecks ain't smart enough to figure
- 4:28Speaker 1: out the streaming respective. I mean, it's probably still money
- 4:31Speaker 1: in there. Yeah. My car does not have a CD player,
- 4:34Speaker 1: so it's like, what am I supposed to do with
- 4:35Speaker 1: this CDs in the eighties, it was mid nineties. It
- 4:43Speaker 1: was mid nineties for sure. Yeah, because I had like
- 4:47Speaker 1: a nice little CD book in like ninety eight, like tiny,
- 4:50Speaker 1: little single page one, you know what I'm saying. CD
- 4:54Speaker 1: book was crazy, but had all that the worst part
- 4:57Speaker 1: was when someone broke into your car and jacked your
- 4:59Speaker 1: fucking CDs. That was it's like you lost your life.
- 5:01Speaker 1: You ever had your CD stolen. Nah, that's before that shit, man,
- 5:06Speaker 1: when you had this like collection of music that you
- 5:08Speaker 1: spend all this thousands of dollars on and someone got
- 5:11Speaker 1: up in your whip and got up under that seat
- 5:12Speaker 1: and took your CD book, I shuld fucking make you
- 5:14Speaker 1: want to kill somebody. Bro. Now we just got the
- 5:17Speaker 1: whole CD books in your phone one hundred percent. Man, Hey,
- 5:22Speaker 1: we got to stop the interview real quick to tell
- 5:23Speaker 1: you about our newest partner to the podcast. Shout out
- 5:25Speaker 1: to our family at Hardan, Las Vegas. Man, listen, the
- 5:29Speaker 1: number one dispensary in the world. I don't give a fuck. Man,
- 5:32Speaker 1: craziest dispensary with the most selection. They got so much
- 5:34Speaker 1: weed in this fucking place. You go to Las Vegas.
- 5:37Speaker 1: You're fucking feeling good with your homies. It's recreational. You're like, damn,
- 5:42Speaker 1: I could just go into a store and buy weed. Yeah,
- 5:44Speaker 1: but you just can't go into any store in Las
- 5:47Speaker 1: Vegas to buy a week because you don't walk out
- 5:48Speaker 1: with some fucking bullshit. No, you go to Hardan, tell
- 5:51Speaker 1: them I sent you, all right, make sure you follow
- 5:54Speaker 1: them online. Hard Dean Underscore Las Vegas. You see it
- 5:57Speaker 1: down there you see them on fucking sweater we represent
- 6:01Speaker 1: and by the way, can we shout out to them
- 6:04Speaker 1: for sending me this this Bootleg cav podcast thingy. What
- 6:10Speaker 1: is this called? No, no, no, it's a for cigars
- 6:14Speaker 1: humid door. Yeah, the humid door. Now, this is what's
- 6:17Speaker 1: great about it. We might start doing this for our
- 6:19Speaker 1: smoking guests. You know, we might have to bust open
- 6:22Speaker 1: the Hardyan humidor and just get into some of these treats.
- 6:26Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying a little bit of the treaties,
- 6:29Speaker 1: you know, straight from Hardean Las Vegas. Even I mean,
- 6:33Speaker 1: these are totally props, because you know they're props. But
- 6:37Speaker 1: with that being said, when you go to Vegas, telling
- 6:40Speaker 1: Bootleg keV sent you Hardan Las Vegas, I'm telling you
- 6:44Speaker 1: it is like going to It's like the Bentley of dispensaries.
- 6:48Speaker 1: It's so nice. The weed is the best, the selection
- 6:51Speaker 1: is the best, the bud tenders are the best. And yo,
- 6:54Speaker 1: make sure you shoot them a follow Hardyan Underscore Las Vegas.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Go to Hardinlasvegas dot com and when you're in Vegas,
- 7:01Speaker 1: go to hard Dean. Baby. All right, you already know,
- 7:03Speaker 1: let's get back to the interview you. I was telling
- 7:06Speaker 1: you that the album that I really got hip to
- 7:08Speaker 1: you on was the album you drove last year, Neighborhood Hole. Uh,
- 7:11Speaker 1: crazy body of work. For sure. You got a new
- 7:14Speaker 1: single Autum two Chains. Obviously you just shot a new
- 7:17Speaker 1: video with Whiz, so I know you're prepping the new album.
- 7:21Speaker 1: But talk about Neighborhood Hole. Why did you like? Why
- 7:24Speaker 1: that title? So you know when I said a neighborhood whole,
- 7:28Speaker 1: you know that's the impact I got on my neighborhood.
- 7:30Speaker 1: You know the same how big you know Hope is
- 7:32Speaker 1: and what he mean of course to the game. Also,
- 7:35Speaker 1: you know, I feel like my story related is you
- 7:38Speaker 1: know how it was hard for him to kind of
- 7:39Speaker 1: get a deal. You know, it wasn't really respecting what
- 7:42Speaker 1: he had going on and how he built this team
- 7:44Speaker 1: and group of people and just went crazy with it.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I mean I see a lot of that and myself.
- 7:49Speaker 1: So that's why I went with that. What was for you? Like?
- 7:53Speaker 1: Are you are you still independent? Like? What is your
- 7:56Speaker 1: label situation? So I'm with my knock now. You know
- 7:58Speaker 1: I got a product took over that monarch. Shout out
- 8:02Speaker 1: the monarch, you know what I mean? They you know,
- 8:04Speaker 1: taking care of me. Did you find that it was
- 8:06Speaker 1: like hard for you to get a deal or get
- 8:08Speaker 1: a deal that you like, were comfortable with signing, because
- 8:11Speaker 1: I think like it you if you have any sort
- 8:14Speaker 1: of buzz, you could probably get some sort of situation,
- 8:16Speaker 1: but the terms are probably terrible, right, Yeah, that's yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 1: you say you said it the right way, like find
- 8:21Speaker 1: a deal that fit me, because you know, I did
- 8:23Speaker 1: so much alone already, so I just wanted to make
- 8:26Speaker 1: sure that whatever situation come, you know what I mean,
- 8:29Speaker 1: they just add on to what I had going on,
- 8:31Speaker 1: and it makes sense as far as the business. So
- 8:33Speaker 1: you were pretty much strictly independent up until when I
- 8:37Speaker 1: want to say, yeah, this year, like recently ship what
- 8:41Speaker 1: is a I mean thighborhood. All that was done through
- 8:44Speaker 1: distribution just distro, Yeah, just distro. Wow, everything been you
- 8:48Speaker 1: know alone? What was the hard Like? You know, I
- 8:52Speaker 1: feel like there's gifts and curses to being fully independent. Yeah,
- 8:55Speaker 1: you want to keep more of your money, but you
- 8:57Speaker 1: gotta also work a lot harder, to work a lot harder,
- 8:59Speaker 1: and you know you just gotta you gotta Yeah, without
- 9:03Speaker 1: that machine, you gotta you gotta do a whole lot
- 9:05Speaker 1: more and I mean, I'm used to it now, you know,
- 9:08Speaker 1: I've been doing it so long, So that's a beautiful thing. Man,
- 9:11Speaker 1: who would you say were your biggest influences growing up?
- 9:13Speaker 1: You said G Unit obviously for sure, Dipset of course,
- 9:18Speaker 1: you know I'm from Harlem. Yeah, just just THEMB really
- 9:22Speaker 1: dipsett in Unit Unit. That's why I watched you know
- 9:25Speaker 1: on TV. So if you had to go with one,
- 9:29Speaker 1: if you had to, let's say you're on an island,
- 9:31Speaker 1: you could only take all of the dip set discography
- 9:34Speaker 1: or all the G Unit discography mixtapes included, Which which
- 9:38Speaker 1: c D book are you taking? I'm not gonna be
- 9:40Speaker 1: politically correct and say hall them. I gotta go with
- 9:43Speaker 1: the Units made me do it. You gotta go get
- 9:45Speaker 1: rid of that trying man. Beg for Mercy. Beg for
- 9:49Speaker 1: Mercy was crazy, all the junior radios, and you can
- 9:52Speaker 1: include the documentary from the Game Into Day because that
- 9:55Speaker 1: was a G Unit album. Yep, Hunger for More, Hunger
- 9:57Speaker 1: for More was crazy, and even the Young buckshit, Yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 1: Buck was hard. Now that I go back and I
- 10:03Speaker 1: listen to even the massacre, I feel like it's slept on.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Of course, there's so much good fucking records on there.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I feel like the massacre was like somehow doesn't get
- 10:13Speaker 1: enough respect because it wasn't as big as get rid
- 10:14Speaker 1: of that try. But I'm like, yo, there was some
- 10:16Speaker 1: real crazy rap shit on there. Ski Mask Way Baltimore
- 10:19Speaker 1: love Thing, shout out to motherfucking Physician of Power. Even
- 10:25Speaker 1: the what was the disc record he had Piggy Bank
- 10:28Speaker 1: was hard? Damn that ship was hard. Yeah, fifty was
- 10:32Speaker 1: flavoring back in the day. Have you been able to
- 10:34Speaker 1: meet him at all? Yeah? I mean every time I
- 10:35Speaker 1: see you, filf I take a pic with him, like
- 10:37Speaker 1: it's the first time. You know what I'm saying. I
- 10:38Speaker 1: just racked my fifty send picks up. Well, have you
- 10:41Speaker 1: tried for the future, No, not yet. I ain't even
- 10:44Speaker 1: I didn't even get a chance to really you know,
- 10:45Speaker 1: kick it with him like how I wanted to. But
- 10:47Speaker 1: every time I see him, I left No, Like, yo,
- 10:49Speaker 1: you're motivated me to do this ship right real. I
- 10:51Speaker 1: let him know that every time. Hey, what y'all bootleg
- 10:54Speaker 1: cap here, we got to interrupt the interview and tell
- 10:56Speaker 1: you about our family at Blue Chew. Look, if you

- 11:18Speaker 1: you what it is, all right, if you're dealing with
- 11:19Speaker 1: the rectile dysfunction, if you're dealing with any sort of stress,
- 11:22Speaker 1: and you just need an extra little you know, a
- 11:24Speaker 1: little performance enhancer, if you will, all right for you,
- 11:26Speaker 1: Johnson down there, all you gotta do is go to

- 11:41Speaker 1: there is a new mint chewable that Blue Choo has
- 11:45Speaker 1: just introduced to the marketplace, and it has the same
- 11:49Speaker 1: active ingredient as Levitra and Stackson, I'm gonna try to
- 11:53Speaker 1: tell you about this active ingredient. It's var dennaphil. Yeah,
- 11:58Speaker 1: I fucked that up. Try it Out's supposed to be
- 12:01Speaker 1: a little more potent than the normal Blue show. Whatever
- 12:03Speaker 1: you need, regular Blue Shoe, the new Mint, Schewable, whatever
- 12:07Speaker 1: it is, You're gonna knock it out the fucking park right. Look,
- 12:09Speaker 1: Barry Bonds needed a little performance enhancing when he hit
- 12:12Speaker 1: seventy three home runs back in the day. He holds
- 12:14Speaker 1: the record. Still, you might need a little performance enhancement
- 12:17Speaker 1: in the bedroom. Your lady will thank you, your wife
- 12:19Speaker 1: will thank you, your boyfriend will thank you. Whatever the
- 12:21Speaker 1: fuck you're into. We're not judging over here at the
- 12:22Speaker 1: boutleg At podcast, but I am judging you if you
- 12:24Speaker 1: don't go to Blue Choo right now and sign up
- 12:27Speaker 1: with that Poma code bootleg and get a month for free.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Try it out. It's literally free. All right, let's get
- 12:32Speaker 1: back to the interview. Why do you think you're slept on?
- 12:37Speaker 1: I think because you know there's no gimmicks. You know
- 12:39Speaker 1: what I mean. I'm what you see is what you get,
- 12:41Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I'm not trying to be
- 12:43Speaker 1: in people's circles. I'm not you know, on anybody line
- 12:46Speaker 1: about features. It's like, if you respect what I do
- 12:49Speaker 1: and you fuck with me, then you know you're tapping
- 12:51Speaker 1: with me. And you know want to help me further
- 12:53Speaker 1: what I got going on. So I'll just be mowing that.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I'll be on my own vibe. Help me under because
- 12:59Speaker 1: I think in New York obviously it's been a good
- 13:02Speaker 1: year for New York hip hop. Joey Badass put out
- 13:05Speaker 1: a great project, Obviously, the Griselda guys have been going crazy.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Benny Conway obviously that's not New York City, it's Buffalo.
- 13:14Speaker 1: But the drill scene is so big. Do you feel
- 13:17Speaker 1: like not being a drill artist right now and being
- 13:20Speaker 1: from New York has it's like nationally, do you feel
- 13:24Speaker 1: like it hurts you? I don't think so. I think that,
- 13:27Speaker 1: you know what I do, I built a kind of
- 13:30Speaker 1: a fan base all over you know what I mean.
- 13:33Speaker 1: I think if this was probably like five years ago
- 13:35Speaker 1: and this was going on, then maybe like if I'm
- 13:37Speaker 1: coming out and it's like, oh, you're doing this. But
- 13:40Speaker 1: I think I built enough of a fan base, you know,
- 13:42Speaker 1: in different places that people still support what I got
- 13:45Speaker 1: to say. You know, what does your take on the
- 13:49Speaker 1: drill scene? Because it's pretty crazy, man, that's crazy. A
- 13:51Speaker 1: lot of dope music but also a lot of crazy shit.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Like it's like some serious like man, I'm like, fuck man,
- 13:58Speaker 1: these kids are like really that they all hang out
- 14:00Speaker 1: on the record. You know what I'm saying. I mean,
- 14:02Speaker 1: I embrace it. I listened to it. I love because
- 14:04Speaker 1: I'm a fan of music. I'm a fan of what
- 14:05Speaker 1: they got going on. I mean, I feel like I
- 14:07Speaker 1: kind of play the role of, you know, the middle
- 14:10Speaker 1: when it comes to all that stuff, like I don't
- 14:12Speaker 1: yeah because you're younger. Yeah I'm young, but I got
- 14:15Speaker 1: it like a real mature Oh the soul. Yeah, you're
- 14:18Speaker 1: like somebody who the young kids could fuck with. But
- 14:20Speaker 1: also like if you're me and you're an old head,
- 14:22Speaker 1: yeah I can appreciate it, nah, for sure. But I
- 14:26Speaker 1: played it. I played the kind of the role of,
- 14:27Speaker 1: you know, embracing all of them. You know, they a
- 14:29Speaker 1: lot of them call me for advice and yeah, you
- 14:32Speaker 1: know what I mean, they come to the studio, you
- 14:33Speaker 1: know what I mean. I play that role with them.
- 14:35Speaker 1: So I embrace it. I love it. I don't like
- 14:37Speaker 1: the violence, of course I don't. I don't like when
- 14:39Speaker 1: it go further than music because it's music. But you know,
- 14:42Speaker 1: other than that, yeah, shout out to all the Jill rappers.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Yeah that's important. Who all do you have on this
- 14:47Speaker 1: new album? I mean two chains and whiz Yeah. We
- 14:49Speaker 1: went heavy on this one. We got two chains, whiz,
- 14:53Speaker 1: Selo selo green see green. Yeah, we got shild yeap tink.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Shout out to man I every Scott one of the
- 15:01Speaker 1: most talented you know people in the game. Am I
- 15:04Speaker 1: missing anyone? Oh? Yeah, Benny, Bennie and Rayner Chef I
- 15:09Speaker 1: cannot record. Yeah, shout out Darren. You on the beat too,

- 18:27Speaker 1: so it was just like I said, like the same
- 18:29Speaker 1: thing with wiz Me and Hick click automatically and worked

- 18:34Speaker 1: just got some big records on him at all times
- 18:37Speaker 1: and for sure awards. Yeah, that's real. That's I'm surprised
- 18:44Speaker 1: to he tried to get you over to make a
- 18:45Speaker 1: sound imprint. I mean, yeah, that's family. I'm in make
- 18:50Speaker 1: it sound. I'm in yeah on the album shout a
- 18:53Speaker 1: Crazy album together. Ye would you say that like having
- 18:57Speaker 1: him involved kind of like put you in a position
- 18:58Speaker 1: to maybe have more commercial rec on this project. Yeah,
- 19:01Speaker 1: So that's a that's the conversation I have, Like, you know,
- 19:03Speaker 1: even with my brothers on the block or with my manager,
- 19:06Speaker 1: I feel like this project right here was those songs,
- 19:08Speaker 1: was the big songs. You know you heard my music.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I'm allver. I do it for the streets. You know
- 19:13Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I love real rat, but you gotta
- 19:16Speaker 1: have them records. You know what I'm saying. If you
- 19:17Speaker 1: don't have them records, you're gonna be doing one thing.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I mean, Jay had those records on his album and
- 19:21Speaker 1: everybody you know, that's what big project is. This project
- 19:24Speaker 1: is the records. It's letting the world know I can
- 19:26Speaker 1: make music. You know what I mean. I mean, give ride,
- 19:29Speaker 1: try and head in the club and twenty one questions
- 19:33Speaker 1: just that. Just that. So you feel like this is
- 19:35Speaker 1: kind of like your level up, my level up one
- 19:38Speaker 1: hundred percent. Bigger beats, you know what I mean, great
- 19:41Speaker 1: features musically, it sound good, my cadence, everything sounds well.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I feel good about it. Do you have the name
- 19:47Speaker 1: of the album yet? Yeah, Blessed to the Max. You're
- 19:51Speaker 1: the first one I know that, though I ain't say
- 19:52Speaker 1: this yet. So the name of my album called Blessed
- 19:54Speaker 1: to the Max. That's dope. I like that. Why that title, man,
- 19:57Speaker 1: because I'm blessed. You know, you got bullet in my head.
- 20:00Speaker 1: You know, I maybe to survive. I'm still here lo
- 20:05Speaker 1: l after l losses after losses. The people, you know
- 20:07Speaker 1: what I mean, have been through a lot this year.
- 20:09Speaker 1: So we blessed it. I didn't know you got When
- 20:11Speaker 1: did you get shot? Twenty eleven? Shit? How old were you?
- 20:16Speaker 1: Like a kid? I want to say, like seventeen, fu
- 20:19Speaker 1: seventeen yep. So what what happened? Man? I want to say,
- 20:24Speaker 1: it was like the wrong place for wrong time, you know.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Sometimes it's all you know, yeah, like different energies collided,
- 20:30Speaker 1: you know, it was. It was just the wrong place
- 20:31Speaker 1: at the wrong time. So you got shot in the
- 20:33Speaker 1: head and the head or didn't go to the hospital.
- 20:36Speaker 1: For every time I tell the story, people think I'm crazy.
- 20:38Speaker 1: So you got shot in the head, didn't go to
- 20:39Speaker 1: the hospital then, because I ain't know, I didn't know.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I was shot. I thought I got grazed. So a
- 20:43Speaker 1: couple of years after I figured out I had a
- 20:46Speaker 1: bullet in my head. So I lived like three years
- 20:48Speaker 1: with the bullet in my head before I found out.
- 20:52Speaker 1: So that's to the Max, bro for sure. How did
- 20:54Speaker 1: you find out that the bullet was in there? So,
- 20:56Speaker 1: Like I was still in school, I was having these
- 21:00Speaker 1: like sinus problems and ship in my head was killing me. Yeah,
- 21:04Speaker 1: so I want to go get the sinus checked out.
- 21:06Speaker 1: You know, they give you the MRA right, and they
- 21:07Speaker 1: told me like, yeah, you got like a piece of
- 21:09Speaker 1: metal in your head. Maybe that's where it's coming from.
- 21:12Speaker 1: But yeah, the fix it. No, no, no, no, no no no,
- 21:15Speaker 1: because it was the siginus issue. This wasn't bothering me.
- 21:18Speaker 1: My bullet wasn't bothering me. It was the sinus issue.
- 21:20Speaker 1: So when I got the MADS for the signings, the
- 21:22Speaker 1: pain went away, but I still got the bullet in
- 21:24Speaker 1: my head. That's how I discovered it. Yeah it's still here.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Oh man, it can't go nowhere. It makes sense to
- 21:29Speaker 1: take it out, right, yeah, because it'll start fucking things
- 21:31Speaker 1: up the fuck. Yeah, bro, blessed the Max. How did
- 21:34Speaker 1: your parents feel when they found out that there was
- 21:37Speaker 1: like I'm sure they knew about the incident, but like
- 21:39Speaker 1: I mean, they thought it was great. So I went
- 21:41Speaker 1: I went home to my step mom. I put some
- 21:43Speaker 1: like bastuation, you know what I mean, little ointment on it,
- 21:47Speaker 1: and I going on about life like we nobody knew
- 21:51Speaker 1: when we found out, it was like, oh that's crazy.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Yeah well yeah yeah. I feel like if you were
- 21:58Speaker 1: I feel like a lot of rappers would just be
- 22:00Speaker 1: talking about that all the time. Yeah yeah, yeah. I
- 22:02Speaker 1: mean for me, it is not nothing to glorify. It is.
- 22:04Speaker 1: It is. I'm blessed. I think, of course every day,
- 22:07Speaker 1: but being shot in I ain't trying to use that
- 22:10Speaker 1: as you know what I mean. I just think back
- 22:12Speaker 1: to fifty and we all knew he got shot nine times?
- 22:14Speaker 1: We did we? Did you? I mean, I know Pop
- 22:17Speaker 1: Smoke did a many Man remix, but have you thought
- 22:19Speaker 1: about like kinda I mean, you kind of have a
- 22:21Speaker 1: pretty crazy I think. Look, Little TJ just did mini
- 22:25Speaker 1: mental Oh he did a freestyle yeah yea, yeah, going
- 22:28Speaker 1: to don Ce or whoever, I don't know, I think yeah, yeah,
- 22:31Speaker 1: I think they was dissing each other on that. Yeah,
- 22:33Speaker 1: and both of I mean don ces can really wrap
- 22:35Speaker 1: the TJ's hard to yeh. Shout after them, guys man. Yeah, hey,
- 22:39Speaker 1: we got to stop the interview real quick. Tell you
- 22:41Speaker 1: about our partners at my bookie. That's right. Salute to

- 22:53Speaker 1: every Sunday, and NBA season is upon us. Yes, if
- 22:59Speaker 1: you want to get in on the action and make
- 23:00Speaker 1: some of this money with me, I'm be gambling all
- 23:02Speaker 1: damn day. Might have a problem with that being said.

- 23:56Speaker 1: money to gamble with when my bookie. Let's get back
- 23:58Speaker 1: to the interview, Like do you feel like sometime times
- 24:01Speaker 1: have you ever had like found yourself in the middle
- 24:02Speaker 1: of of like being friends with two people who have
- 24:05Speaker 1: problems with each other? Yeah, I stay away from all that. Men,
- 24:08Speaker 1: I got we got. I got my own problems. Man,
- 24:11Speaker 1: I don't be trying to get into nobody's situations. Then
- 24:13Speaker 1: thank got nothing to do with me over some rap ship.
- 24:15Speaker 1: That is the right approach for sure. I don't know rap.
- 24:18Speaker 1: This is music. Yeah. The problem is is like usually
- 24:21Speaker 1: that happens and you should be in the middle and
- 24:25Speaker 1: be like, hey, look y'all, this is on some rap
- 24:27Speaker 1: like you said it's not some street ship. Yeah, but
- 24:28Speaker 1: certain things you just certain things you just stay out of.
- 24:31Speaker 1: You you know, you don't want nothing to do it.
- 24:32Speaker 1: And I'm not gouy certain things, I just don't want
- 24:35Speaker 1: none to do it. Would you say, obviously you have
- 24:37Speaker 1: the Ray Kwan Benny record. Is there enough on this
- 24:40Speaker 1: album for the fans who really fuck with you, for
- 24:42Speaker 1: the street ship, for the for the rapping ship to
- 24:45Speaker 1: really kind of appease them? I mean I got a few,
- 24:47Speaker 1: I think I think I think so. Yeah, I think
- 24:51Speaker 1: so because something I was going back and forth with
- 24:53Speaker 1: about my project. But I feel good about it. I
- 24:55Speaker 1: think so? Is it? Uh? Do we have a date yet?
- 24:59Speaker 1: Not yet? Now? Yeah? Do we gotta date? November eighteen?
- 25:03Speaker 1: It was almost two years of a wait, right yep,
- 25:05Speaker 1: for sure? For sure ship. So you've been working, man,
- 25:08Speaker 1: Are you gonna make everybody wait that longer for the
- 25:10Speaker 1: for the the next time? I gotta keep guessing that
- 25:13Speaker 1: I gotta show, I got to show on what's going on?
- 25:16Speaker 1: What is something for you man? Like? Obviously, Uh, you've
- 25:20Speaker 1: kind of had to do the independent thing. What would
- 25:22Speaker 1: be some advice you would give artists who are were
- 25:24Speaker 1: in a similar situation that you're being independent, having to
- 25:27Speaker 1: do everything yourself. That you mean, I feel like, never stop,
- 25:29Speaker 1: you know what I mean? You gotta stay consistent. You
- 25:32Speaker 1: can't stop. You gotta keep going. I mean just discouraging,
- 25:36Speaker 1: you know it come. Being discouraged happens, but you gotta
- 25:39Speaker 1: keep going. Do you think do you think there was
- 25:41Speaker 1: ever a point in time where you had hit like
- 25:43Speaker 1: a low in your career it made you kind of
- 25:45Speaker 1: reconsider whether or not you wanted to really do this
- 25:46Speaker 1: rap shit? Yeah, I mean it's gonna be plenty of
- 25:50Speaker 1: them nights. You have plenty of those. I'm pretty sure
- 25:52Speaker 1: with whatever you do. But yeah, I had plenty of
- 25:55Speaker 1: those nights. But you know, I kept pushing and I'm here.
- 25:57Speaker 1: That's Gope man. Anybody else from Harlem that you want
- 26:01Speaker 1: to shout out and the East Harlem rappers that you
- 26:03Speaker 1: feel like? Yeah, h four Records man, shout out the popularity? Man?
- 26:07Speaker 1: Is your label? Yeah? So you got a label? You
- 26:09Speaker 1: signed the artists, yep, yep, for sure to launch it soon. Okay,
- 26:13Speaker 1: you got one artist already. Nah, but that's who I'm
- 26:15Speaker 1: working with closely, dope? Yeah, yeah, yeah, what's up with
- 26:18Speaker 1: Bodega bams Man shout at the Bodega bands. Man, I've
- 26:21Speaker 1: seen his team. I seen Old Live, Old Lives. Brother,
- 26:25Speaker 1: my man, Luca and are the same person, the same
- 26:28Speaker 1: person I want to work with Bams. He's one of
- 26:30Speaker 1: the guys who you know, motivated me to do this.
- 26:33Speaker 1: I told you he from the East side of Harlem.
- 26:35Speaker 1: So seeing somebody strictly for my Poppies album was so fuckingall. Man,
- 26:39Speaker 1: I gotta I got a chance to, you know, move
- 26:40Speaker 1: around with them when they was in New York City
- 26:42Speaker 1: a lot of times. Yeah, and I love you know
- 26:45Speaker 1: what they did and doing still as an asap crew
- 26:48Speaker 1: tapped in with you at all Rocky my brother, that's
- 26:50Speaker 1: my guy. Yeah, Yeah, that's my brother. The album's coming
- 26:53Speaker 1: November eighteenth. November eighteen, Blessed to the Max. Blessed to
- 26:57Speaker 1: the Max. New single with Wizz is coming. It's coming
- 26:59Speaker 1: soon to Change Records. Mask Up is out now and
- 27:01Speaker 1: make sure you go get it on streaming platforms. The
- 27:04Speaker 1: videos out as well. Boom Yo, go follow my guy
- 27:07Speaker 1: Nick Bucks your album already know of course. Man,
