- 0:00Speaker 1: The Big Show with Night and Day.
- 0:03Speaker 2: You know, hell of a caffeine fix from your local
- 0:05Speaker 2: Night and Day.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Welcome.
- 0:08Speaker 2: This is big, actually big show.
- 0:12Speaker 4: Jason Heights, Mike and.
- 0:15Speaker 1: I'll give your mad Barsid's great to have your company
- 0:18Speaker 1: this Tuesday afternoon, the twenty fifth of June twenty twenty four.
- 0:21Speaker 1: And you, my friends, as always listening to the big
- 0:24Speaker 1: show brought you by night Maggie Ustellian Holl's life.
- 0:39Speaker 2: You don't ptty grasp your mad dog. You're six son
- 0:41Speaker 2: of a bee. Another beautiful day in paradise. I just
- 0:44Speaker 2: feel unlucky to be alive.
- 0:45Speaker 1: My man, I'll tell you what such a shock for
- 0:47Speaker 1: old Hoidy Jay to go outside with my little heat
- 0:49Speaker 1: pump going there in the little house. Go outside. Oh
- 0:53Speaker 1: she's a bit nippy. He's a bit nippy. Ke'sy, your
- 0:56Speaker 1: mad bars at Holl's life.
- 0:57Speaker 4: So good fellas, so happy to be here right now?
- 1:00Speaker 2: Yeah man? He not happy?
- 1:02Speaker 1: Man? Well, what's going on with your keys?
- 1:03Speaker 2: I don't know, it's just he's I don't want to
- 1:05Speaker 2: speak on your behalf Keysy, but I get the vibes
- 1:08Speaker 2: a little bit green around the gills. Sure, sure there's
- 1:12Speaker 2: something going on. I put my finger on it.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Go on, mate, I put away the biggest carry.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I thought you were going to say carry.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Lucks about an hour ago, and I've just got a
- 1:26Speaker 4: cage of noodles inside my tongue.
- 1:28Speaker 2: You're just bruined steamers.
- 1:29Speaker 4: Bruined steamer over here should be right around midnight.
- 1:33Speaker 1: It's actually really interesting, Mogis. We were walking to the
- 1:36Speaker 1: car park last night, Kesey and I. He was talking
- 1:39Speaker 1: about how for of lunch he'd had some handmade noodle
- 1:44Speaker 1: sort of soupy thing and it was way too much
- 1:47Speaker 1: and he felt like there was a number of klingons.
- 1:52Speaker 1: His bow was rumbling. Yes, So I was actually very
- 1:56Speaker 1: heavy to part ways with him at the car park.
- 1:59Speaker 4: What I said, Mike was that the pork made me
- 2:02Speaker 4: feel weird. I'm starting to feel a bit weird.
- 2:03Speaker 2: But woozy. Well, that's you're feeling woozy. Old hod Jay
- 2:07Speaker 2: is feeling woozy. It's going to be one of those shows.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I just want to put it out there. I am
- 2:11Speaker 1: feeling woozy. My daughter's been sick the last couple of days,
- 2:14Speaker 1: or her mates are sick. Just text us on three
- 2:17Speaker 1: four eight three. If you live in Auckland especially. There's
- 2:20Speaker 1: some sort of bug going around at the moment because
- 2:22Speaker 1: I am feeling woozy. But I'll be okay because I'm
- 2:26Speaker 1: a backbone, massive showy here today. Five hundred bucks to
- 2:29Speaker 1: give away, so much to chat about. A meantime, it's
- 2:33Speaker 1: a bit of audio slave.
- 2:34Speaker 5: Yeah, the whole achy Big shows with Jason Hoyt, Mike
- 2:40Speaker 5: Minogue and Keezy Lies.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Indeed the food fighters there on the radio Hoedarky Big
- 2:45Speaker 1: Show this Tuesday afternoon, eleven minutes past four o'clock.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I don't know if you guys have heard there's been
- 2:50Speaker 2: a few issues with the inter island of Fury. I
- 2:53Speaker 2: not good, guys, not good. It's sort of the connection,
- 2:57Speaker 2: isn't it, between the North and the South Island. So
- 3:00Speaker 2: sure it's used for vacationers and holidays et cetera, et cetera,
- 3:03Speaker 2: but also it's a main trunk line, main trunk line
- 3:07Speaker 2: for trucks and goods and services and things like that. Yeah,
- 3:10Speaker 2: And so we're a bit of a laughing stock the
- 3:12Speaker 2: world over, aren't we. When we've got two boats and
- 3:15Speaker 2: one of them is consistently falling over, and then the
- 3:17Speaker 2: other one's not much better. I don't know if you've
- 3:18Speaker 2: heard about this one, keezy. Oh yeah. So they're trying
- 3:20Speaker 2: to look for a solution. They originally they were building
- 3:22Speaker 2: some other ones. The new government came in. They've put
- 3:25Speaker 2: the kaibosh on that. As they do, then these are
- 3:27Speaker 2: the That's just normal, isn't it. Yes, but interesting stuff.
- 3:32Speaker 2: I've been talking to a made of mine who's quite
- 3:33Speaker 2: high up in Key we Rail there. Yeah, really yeah.
- 3:37Speaker 2: And what they're looking at doing they're looking at other
- 3:40Speaker 2: solutions because the problem that they have with these boats
- 3:42Speaker 2: is they're prone to break down. And even when they
- 3:45Speaker 2: were originally built and I think it was ninety ninety eight,
- 3:49Speaker 2: they broke down immediately and we're given the nicknames of lemons.
- 3:52Speaker 2: That are the lemons, and it costs like eight hundred
- 3:54Speaker 2: million dollars or something ridiculous. So what they're looking at
- 3:56Speaker 2: is another solution, and this is where they've gone. They're
- 4:01Speaker 2: going to build essentially what's a crane. Now. It's going
- 4:05Speaker 2: to have the center of the crane is going to
- 4:06Speaker 2: be right in the middle of the cook straight right,
- 4:09Speaker 2: and there'll be an arm that reaches all the way
- 4:11Speaker 2: out to the North Island. It won't be able to
- 4:14Speaker 2: go into the port like it is at the moment,
- 4:16Speaker 2: because I won't be able to get around the corner.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Then the other arm of it will be extend all
- 4:20Speaker 2: the way out to the South Island. So if you're
- 4:22Speaker 2: can imagine that you've drived down there in your car
- 4:24Speaker 2: and it's got you can drive on to it. It's
- 4:27Speaker 2: got heaps of storage on there for trucks and all
- 4:29Speaker 2: sorts of things. So you load up at the South Island,
- 4:31Speaker 2: you lad up at the North Island, and then that
- 4:34Speaker 2: just rotates around and just one hundred and eighty degrees.
- 4:39Speaker 2: The genius of this plan is that it's got a
- 4:41Speaker 2: sail on it. Well, the crane does. The crane does,
- 4:44Speaker 2: so it's powered by the wind. Because you guys will
- 4:47Speaker 2: know this down and want in a lot of wind.
- 4:49Speaker 2: So it actually gets powered by the wind. It makes
- 4:52Speaker 2: it carbon neutral and it goes at about nine hundred
- 4:55Speaker 2: kilometers an hour.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Well, it's going to say because if you're on the
- 4:58Speaker 4: very end of that lot, because how long is the
- 5:01Speaker 4: arm on the crane going to be.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I mean, I'm not an engineer, but a bi kilometer
- 5:04Speaker 2: as long?
- 5:05Speaker 4: Yeah, Because if you're on the end of that, you
- 5:07Speaker 4: know you're gonna be going some serious speed.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Sure, sure, yeah, they've got seat belt.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Because that's interesting you say that because I've got a
- 5:15Speaker 1: mate that works pretty high up at n Z Transport
- 5:20Speaker 1: for the government there.
- 5:21Speaker 2: What's his name.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Looking at I don't want to. I don't want to
- 5:24Speaker 1: altam Kezy, that wouldn't be kosher man. Okay, you know,
- 5:29Speaker 1: very similar kind of scenario, and that they've been working
- 5:33Speaker 1: on a concept of attaching a cable from Cape Rianga
- 5:38Speaker 1: all the way down to Bluff. Okay, so just one
- 5:41Speaker 1: massive cable and just having carriages go along the cable
- 5:47Speaker 1: like a gondola. Yeah, like a massive gondola where it
- 5:50Speaker 1: sort of got a bit stuck. Is it only goes
- 5:53Speaker 1: one way at this point, but it can actually go
- 5:58Speaker 1: both ways, but they have to get the stuff down
- 6:01Speaker 1: that in and unload it before they And I was like, well,
- 6:05Speaker 1: couldn't you just put like two cables up? And they
- 6:08Speaker 1: were and hit my mate who works at NJ Transport
- 6:11Speaker 1: quite high art there he went hang about.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Yeah, oh really, so they hadn't even thought of that.
- 6:16Speaker 1: They hadn't even thought of a second case.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Why don't they put up three cables or even four?
- 6:21Speaker 1: It'd be it'll be pollution, it'll be visual pollution.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah yeah.
- 6:26Speaker 4: I mean I was reading online that they're going to
- 6:28Speaker 4: look into it and maybe look to update the fleet
- 6:30Speaker 4: in the next few years potentially if it's not too pricey.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Nah, because they were already doing that, went there and
- 6:35Speaker 2: they put the koibosh on that. I mean, they already
- 6:37Speaker 2: spent three hundred million on that. So you can you
- 6:39Speaker 2: can put a you can put a line through that
- 6:41Speaker 2: idea keys all right, So that's probably one of the
- 6:42Speaker 2: other two. So it's going to be the Flying Fox
- 6:44Speaker 2: or that crane. Yeah, okay, is that flying Fox thing?
- 6:48Speaker 2: There is that Canty Leaver? Yes, yeah, yeah, craners as well,
- 6:52Speaker 2: that's Canty Leave. It's Canty Leave.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Interestingly, because I got another good mate that works
- 6:57Speaker 1: in the gangs, and the whole Into Island a fairy thing.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Apparently it's just a big ruse, right because there's billions
- 7:06Speaker 1: and billions of dollars, you know for the ideas that
- 7:10Speaker 1: Mogi and I our mates were talking about. But the
- 7:14Speaker 1: inter Islander is actually just a big drug run for
- 7:16Speaker 1: all the gangs and stuff. So they don't want that
- 7:19Speaker 1: shut down because that was that would shut off the
- 7:22Speaker 1: drug supply between the islands.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, they're making a lot of money the gangs.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Man.
- 7:29Speaker 2: I mean, I've got a mate who's pretty high up
- 7:32Speaker 2: in the Sas and he was saying that one of
- 7:35Speaker 2: the gangs has just brought a nuclear submarine off the Russians,
- 7:38Speaker 2: so they'll be using that to smoke all the drugs.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Oh mate, I've got another really good mate that can
- 7:43Speaker 1: vouch with that.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Is he in Russia? No, he's in soft furnishings.
- 7:55Speaker 1: It's a it's a cover leasy.
- 7:58Speaker 5: The Hurdarchy Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kisy.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Bon Jovi on the radio. Holi darkey, but it's really weird. Actually,
- 8:08Speaker 1: can I say? A mature woman just walked past the
- 8:11Speaker 1: studio and I inadvertently caught her eye there Mogi again,
- 8:15Speaker 1: did you? And she held the look? She held the look,
- 8:20Speaker 1: Fellas just a little bit too long?
- 8:24Speaker 2: Still got it?
- 8:26Speaker 1: Sure do you're Stallion? Now, Fellas, I've got a business
- 8:31Speaker 1: idea and I want to run it through you get
- 8:33Speaker 1: your thoughts on it.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Because.
- 8:40Speaker 1: And it has been so obvious. I cannot believe it's
- 8:44Speaker 1: only just occurred to me to do it and it's
- 8:46Speaker 1: called high my head.
- 8:48Speaker 2: I think they already do that.
- 8:49Speaker 1: And as you know, I'm fond of a cat.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 8:54Speaker 4: I don't know if you are fond of a hat
- 8:56Speaker 4: because you've been given about one hundred of them and
- 8:58Speaker 4: you've you only wear one.
- 9:00Speaker 2: But you got to listen to he is fond of
- 9:01Speaker 2: a hat.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Yeah, one hat.
- 9:04Speaker 1: And you know I'm I'm on videos all the time,
- 9:07Speaker 1: I'm on the radio all the time, I'm out and
- 9:09Speaker 1: about all the time. I'm a I guess you'd say
- 9:11Speaker 1: a pretty significant celeb.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Fellas, Yeah, I'm totally.
- 9:19Speaker 1: You know, people recognize me in a supermarket stari. I
- 9:23Speaker 1: don't want to go that far, but sure I'm a
- 9:25Speaker 1: star and people see me in the street and they
- 9:28Speaker 1: stop and they gork and stuff like that.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Look at his honk.
- 9:32Speaker 1: And the concept that I have that I'm running with
- 9:35Speaker 1: here is high my head. People send in their business
- 9:38Speaker 1: caps or hats, you know, for your advertising their business,
- 9:42Speaker 1: and I'll wear it for a length of time and
- 9:45Speaker 1: they pay me x amount of dollars per how long
- 9:49Speaker 1: I wear it for. So, for example, if I wear
- 9:52Speaker 1: it for a month, sure that equates to about twenty
- 9:56Speaker 1: five K. And then if other people want to send
- 9:59Speaker 1: a hat, or if they want to do it two months,
- 10:01Speaker 1: fifty k you know what I mean.
- 10:03Speaker 2: You'd give a discount for two months.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I could give a discount for two months for sure, Yeah,
- 10:07Speaker 1: for sure.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Twenty five for one month, fifty for two sounds.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Good to me. Yeah, yeah, yeah, what do you think?
- 10:15Speaker 2: I think it's a great idea. I think you've got
- 10:17Speaker 2: your pricing right, probably on the lower side of right
- 10:20Speaker 2: for me. You would you wear it on the radio
- 10:21Speaker 2: show here?
- 10:22Speaker 1: Well, I'm oh, yes, of course, I'm thinking about the
- 10:24Speaker 1: cap I was with my jc B cap that I
- 10:26Speaker 1: wore for a year. That's what. Yeah, nearly half a
- 10:29Speaker 1: million advertising those baskets got and they didn't pay me
- 10:32Speaker 1: a cent. So this gave me a mankey old cap.
- 10:35Speaker 2: No, they gave you a brand new hat.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Well, I was brand new. It's pretty monkey by the
- 10:38Speaker 1: end of it, and.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Your head made it mankey.
- 10:40Speaker 1: And the good thing about it too, of course, is
- 10:41Speaker 1: that i'd always look I have quite clean looking caps,
- 10:45Speaker 1: that's true, and I wouldn't have filthy caps all the time.
- 10:48Speaker 1: So if anyone's interested in that and using high my head,
- 10:52Speaker 1: just text us three four eight three and Pudson will
- 10:56Speaker 1: get in touch with you and get your deeps.
- 10:57Speaker 4: We've already had someone takes through Anger from christ Church
- 11:00Speaker 4: looking for some hoidy J head, just wondering how much
- 11:03Speaker 4: thirty minutes would cost.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Thirty minutes of hody j head. Ah, that would be
- 11:09Speaker 1: that's a one off one.
- 11:13Speaker 4: If that one fit of hoty J's head, they could
- 11:16Speaker 4: like film it and then take the footage and use
- 11:18Speaker 4: it as they want, right.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Absolutely, they could. What about for a half and half?
- 11:22Speaker 1: Half and half?
- 11:23Speaker 2: Yeah, so like half the time you're wearing it and
- 11:25Speaker 2: the other time you sort of got it in your
- 11:26Speaker 2: hand and you know, just sort of waving it around.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I mean for me, that's still the same thing.
- 11:35Speaker 1: So I would I would just charge your full rate there, yeah,
- 11:39Speaker 1: one an hour, But yeah, I mean like we could
- 11:42Speaker 1: we could break it down hody J head for you know,
- 11:46Speaker 1: yeah an hour?
- 11:47Speaker 2: Yeah yeah yeah.
- 11:48Speaker 4: What if what if me and a mate went halves
- 11:50Speaker 4: on houghdy j head for thirty minutes?
- 11:53Speaker 1: Well, I mean you could band together and pay the
- 11:54Speaker 1: full rate obviously.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, and you'd be sweet with that totally man.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Okay, all right, well three four three If anyone wants
- 12:00Speaker 4: to hire Hoidy Jay's head, get in touch with us
- 12:04Speaker 4: and more.
- 12:05Speaker 2: We'll tee you things up honestly, man, Surris. How many
- 12:09Speaker 2: people are keen for this?
- 12:10Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 12:10Speaker 2: Yeah now yeah yeah yeah.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Well can I just say though, I'm more into the
- 12:16Speaker 1: long term head, you know what I mean, and I
- 12:20Speaker 1: don't want it to just be all, you know, just
- 12:23Speaker 1: half an hour houghty jay.
- 12:24Speaker 4: Head Actually hiss. It tis from pug Son. He wants
- 12:26Speaker 4: to know how much eight minutes would cost.
- 12:28Speaker 5: The Darky Big Show weekdays from four on Radio Hodaki's.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Indeed Oasis there on the radio. Holdarky did show this
- 12:35Speaker 1: Tuesday afternoon. The time is four thirty eight. What my
- 12:39Speaker 1: business idea is going off on the old text line
- 12:41Speaker 1: three four eight three keysy.
- 12:42Speaker 2: There's a lot of people that are keen man here totally,
- 12:47Speaker 2: but it's pretty freaky because it's such a good idea.
- 12:50Speaker 4: No, I was just about to talk about the dream
- 12:52Speaker 4: I had.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah last night.
- 12:54Speaker 4: It was actually the night before, but we didn't get
- 12:56Speaker 4: time to talk about it yesterday.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Were the monkeys in it?
- 12:59Speaker 4: No, we're in Balley. When I say well, I mean
- 13:03Speaker 4: me old Mogi over there, our social guy, the pants
- 13:06Speaker 4: Man and a winner. We're in Bali. We're in a
- 13:10Speaker 4: shop and you guys were buying magic mushies off the
- 13:13Speaker 4: shelf right, so you bought the magic mushies and then
- 13:15Speaker 4: you just stuffed them in your mouth and walked out.
- 13:17Speaker 4: And I was like, I'm not going to steal. So
- 13:19Speaker 4: I waited in there were a bit longer, bought a beer.
- 13:22Speaker 4: As the lady handed me the beer, a guy walked
- 13:25Speaker 4: past and I felt a prick, did you I found
- 13:29Speaker 4: a prick and the sort of side of my my
- 13:33Speaker 4: oblique there on the side of my sort of torso
- 13:35Speaker 4: I wouldn't call it an obleak on the side of
- 13:38Speaker 4: my torso there. And I looked down and he'd hit
- 13:40Speaker 4: me with a little via with a little pen on
- 13:41Speaker 4: the end of it. So I quickly got it out
- 13:43Speaker 4: went to leave the shop. Another guy stopped me, patted
- 13:45Speaker 4: me on the back, was like, gooday, kezy, how are
- 13:46Speaker 4: you going hit me with another thing?
- 13:49Speaker 2: They were dragging me? Oh, and then.
- 13:51Speaker 4: He's been dragging me. It has been dragging me. And
- 13:58Speaker 4: then I ripped that one out trying to leave, and
- 14:00Speaker 4: then a guy stabbed me again and he wouldn't let
- 14:02Speaker 4: me pull it out, and eventually I started to like
- 14:04Speaker 4: almost pass out.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Were you trying to pull it out?
- 14:06Speaker 4: I was trying to pull out and I just couldn't.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Almost passed out before I did. They grabbed my phone,
- 14:11Speaker 4: held it up to my face and unlocked it. Went
- 14:14Speaker 4: to my banking app, held that up to my face,
- 14:15Speaker 4: unlocked it transferred all of our life savings to their account.
- 14:19Speaker 4: And then I blacked out. And then I woke up
- 14:21Speaker 4: and I was actually in bed.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Hey, kezy, what why wasn't I in the dream or pugs? Yeah,
- 14:30Speaker 1: or pugs.
- 14:31Speaker 4: I can't control the dreams man, that's true. If I could,
- 14:34Speaker 4: the pants man, sure as how, I wouldn't have been there.
- 14:35Speaker 4: It's probably just trying to film me doing and stuff.
- 14:39Speaker 1: You were in my dreams, yeah, here wet dreams. Yeah,
- 14:44Speaker 1: but there's still dreams, Mogi, that's true.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Fantasies, shooted, trade wars, sleep, fantasy.
- 14:52Speaker 4: Tools down and Liza.
- 14:55Speaker 6: It's super liquor trade.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Was time time? Just it's quite high energy, isn't it
- 15:05Speaker 2: It is? It's really high energy. Well, it's it's worth
- 15:08Speaker 2: five hundred bucks. Why not trade against trade?
- 15:12Speaker 1: Spend the wheel? Keasy?
- 15:13Speaker 4: Hey, we haven't even explained how it works it Oh god, well,
- 15:16Speaker 4: we spin the wheel twice, we pick out two trades.
- 15:19Speaker 4: If you are one of those trades, you call us
- 15:21Speaker 4: on eight hundred Hodaki and you can win five hundred
- 15:23Speaker 4: dollars thanks.
- 15:23Speaker 2: To super liquor.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Cheers to that, thanks mate, cheers to that.
- 15:26Speaker 2: All right, first spin no go again? That one doesn't count.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Better other so that can be anything then, so literally anything.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Okay other if you're another trade, e give us a
- 15:44Speaker 1: call right now, literally anything literally anything other oh eight

- 24:14Speaker 1: batch for a weekend, and you fellas were like hear man,
- 24:18Speaker 1: really keen.
- 24:19Speaker 2: It was pretty heavy on the skinny dipping when you
- 24:21Speaker 2: were talking about it.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Oh yeah, there'll be some skill. Well every morning we'll
- 24:24Speaker 1: have a skinny dip and then some stretching and stuff.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Unfortunately you're away when I went through the schedule with
- 24:29Speaker 1: the fellows. Oh cool, but they are into it, and
- 24:35Speaker 1: so I just want to say, first and foremost, we're
- 24:37Speaker 1: locked in the day July or the weekend July twelve.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Fellas, all right, twelfth, we're all good with that. Is
- 24:43Speaker 2: it a Friday, Yes, it's a Friday, So we're going
- 24:45Speaker 2: to Friday and we'll come back on the Sunday. Where
- 24:48Speaker 2: were we going to stay on the Saturday at the back? Yeah?
- 24:51Speaker 1: Yeah, cool, Yes, that's going to end on the Friday.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Well nights.
- 24:58Speaker 1: The years. I've already I've already assigned you the outer
- 25:02Speaker 1: little area, which is set amongst a perhuda kawa. You
- 25:05Speaker 1: will love it, Mogi. In fact, when my father in
- 25:08Speaker 1: law built it, I thought to myself, Mogi would love that.
- 25:12Speaker 2: No.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Just I was talking to the fellows too about the money,
- 25:17Speaker 1: and you were just saying to be quiet because I
- 25:19Speaker 1: was going to split it three ways.
- 25:20Speaker 2: You get a load of this.
- 25:21Speaker 4: Move this.
- 25:23Speaker 1: But obviously you just had your daughter's party. Yeah, and
- 25:25Speaker 1: they aren't cheat man, you know, because you're not just
- 25:27Speaker 1: paying for the kids and the food and all that stuff,
- 25:29Speaker 1: all the adults and all the pests for that as well. Yes,
- 25:31Speaker 1: so you said you're a bit short, so let's just
- 25:33Speaker 1: flag it. You don't need to pay me anything.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Well, how much is it? Well it was six thirty each,
- 25:38Speaker 2: fifty each, yeah, a night.
- 25:40Speaker 1: No in total, and that's that's groceries and petrol.
- 25:46Speaker 2: That's good.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Think you would not believe the bleeding that Pugs and
- 25:52Speaker 1: Keysy were. What do you mean man?
- 25:55Speaker 2: It was two nights, yeah, two nights twenty five let's
- 26:01Speaker 2: say a night, and it's roughly there. And then food
- 26:05Speaker 2: is included on that. Yes, so you get there on
- 26:07Speaker 2: the Friday night, we'll probably go breakfast, lunch and dinner
- 26:10Speaker 2: on the Saturday. There one breakfast on the Sunday, yes,
- 26:16Speaker 2: and then we'll be off at the road. Eh yeah, yeah, exactly,
- 26:19Speaker 2: pretty good man. And then you're paying for my petrol
- 26:21Speaker 2: as well, kizy, Is that right? So that is what
- 26:24Speaker 2: what do you mean?
- 26:25Speaker 1: Well, basically, what I've done is I've just split it
- 26:29Speaker 1: two ways, so nine fitty but with you and pugsan
- 26:33Speaker 1: would be good.
- 26:33Speaker 4: Keep So now it's not fifty in a while, I'm
- 26:35Speaker 4: putting gas in the tea truck as well.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Oh I no, you can come in my in my
- 26:40Speaker 1: Axela track.
- 26:42Speaker 2: I'm all good.
- 26:43Speaker 1: So I'll be driving you all out there and just
- 26:46Speaker 1: giving you the history of that that area as we're
- 26:49Speaker 1: driving out there too, by the way, and just a reminder,
- 26:51Speaker 1: just and you wouldn't have heard this either, Mogi, no booze,
- 26:55Speaker 1: no drugs, no pawn and I say no pawn. Geezy?
- 26:58Speaker 1: All right? And can we abide by the TV rules?
- 27:04Speaker 1: They decide when it's on and off and it's no
- 27:07Speaker 1: more than twenty minutes a day.
- 27:08Speaker 2: A right, twenty minutes a day? Next reason, thank you
- 27:11Speaker 2: were at the point. I've got a TV in my room.
- 27:14Speaker 1: You've got your own TV in your room?
- 27:15Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 27:16Speaker 4: Hang on, Look, I I was all for this idea
- 27:18Speaker 4: when you suggested it.
- 27:20Speaker 2: I don't. I'm not sure I want to go anymore. Well,
- 27:22Speaker 2: you've committed there. It's a thing stick through drags, Like,
- 27:29Speaker 2: as long as i'm outside the house outside the house,
- 27:32Speaker 2: is fine?
- 27:33Speaker 1: Or in your own little room in your room?
- 27:35Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 27:35Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 27:37Speaker 2: Can I go to his room to drink beer?
- 27:39Speaker 1: Isn't that? Incidentally, there's a mini bar in there too,
- 27:41Speaker 1: so just fill your boots, free your charge in your case.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Where am I sleeping?
- 27:46Speaker 1: This is the really cool thing about the batches. There's
- 27:49Speaker 1: another double beer in the main batch area and kind
- 27:52Speaker 1: of what we call window sill cushions and so like
- 27:56Speaker 1: there's a there's a window this beggars. You can imagine
- 27:58Speaker 1: it's big in the studio here, we'll like, yeah, a
- 28:02Speaker 1: window sill with cushions on it. You and patters can shield.
- 28:06Speaker 2: That's good?
- 28:06Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 28:07Speaker 2: Has it got a good view?
- 28:08Speaker 1: Nah?
- 28:09Speaker 5: The haiking being shown podcast.
- 28:11Speaker 1: June radio head there on the radio Hodaky Big Show

- 28:32Speaker 4: able to get a coffee barista made for two bucks.
- 28:35Speaker 1: I'm thinking of all those students down there and freezing
- 28:37Speaker 1: their arses off my sweet hot coffee right now? What
- 28:40Speaker 1: do you reckon?
- 28:41Speaker 2: Two bucks? Good on you? Hey? It was my daughter's
- 28:44Speaker 2: birthday over the weekend in that it's one of the
- 28:47Speaker 2: big ones. Jace, you'll know about this. You won't know
- 28:48Speaker 2: about this. Keys, you've got zero kids, but Jase, you've
- 28:52Speaker 2: got kids. Yeah, I wish I could relate to that.
- 28:56Speaker 2: One of the big ones is five years old. Would
- 28:58Speaker 2: you agree with us? The way I look at it
- 28:59Speaker 2: is it's five years old, then it's a ten year
- 29:02Speaker 2: old birthday because it's double digits. Yes, Then it's thirteen
- 29:06Speaker 2: a teenager, and then sixteen because it's sweet sixteen, Yes,
- 29:10Speaker 2: in eighteen because you can go to war.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Years.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Yeah, good, because the ones in between we're doing nothing for.
- 29:19Speaker 2: But we had some people over to the house and
- 29:20Speaker 2: it's quite nice, you know. People. We said that everybody
- 29:24Speaker 2: don't bring any gifts, okay, because we don't sort of
- 29:27Speaker 2: need anything. But my grand my mother, oh mauge, she
- 29:33Speaker 2: came along and she actually got my daughter a trampoline. Wow,
- 29:37Speaker 2: that's very generous. It is very generous. It's a second
- 29:39Speaker 2: hand one. It's a bit of an old dunger, you
- 29:41Speaker 2: know what I mean, sweat, but it still does the trick. Anyway.
- 29:44Speaker 2: She had to burn on this trampoline and we had it.
- 29:47Speaker 1: You know.
- 29:47Speaker 2: There's a few other people there, and you know Jason's
- 29:50Speaker 2: you've sort of been working in radio and you know,
- 29:53Speaker 2: being an actor of some renown for some years, you
- 29:56Speaker 2: end up meeting people that the otherwise wouldn't. So one
- 29:59Speaker 2: of the people that we had lot of Olympians, a
- 30:01Speaker 2: lot of Olympians. Oh that's random, you know, just people
- 30:04Speaker 2: at the top of their field. Key kids. No, just
- 30:08Speaker 2: close mates, very close mates.
- 30:11Speaker 1: For sure.
- 30:11Speaker 2: And one of them was actually I met I met
- 30:14Speaker 2: this guy at your place at that part of you
- 30:15Speaker 2: had at your place, Dillan Schmidt. Oh the trampolinas, the trampolinis. Yeah,
- 30:20Speaker 2: And he was there and my daughter was showing this.
- 30:25Speaker 2: She was sort of starter off bouncing the very slow
- 30:28Speaker 2: it can be quite timid, but sort of within a
- 30:30Speaker 2: minute she was doing sort of quadruple flips and twists
- 30:32Speaker 2: and all that sort of thing. And he was like,
- 30:34Speaker 2: is she what's going on here? She five? Yeah, she's five.
- 30:36Speaker 2: She's not a little person, right, And he said he'd
- 30:39Speaker 2: never seen anything like it. He gave her a couple
- 30:43Speaker 2: of tips, a couple of little tricks there, and by
- 30:44Speaker 2: the end of it he said, man, I'm going to
- 30:46Speaker 2: try and get her into the Olympics. This year.
- 30:48Speaker 4: Well those are in like not even like what less
- 30:50Speaker 4: than a month?
- 30:51Speaker 2: He's the expert man.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, well she obviously had that much natural talent,
- 30:56Speaker 1: talent that exactly I don't need just now.
- 30:59Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I mean, are you saying that Dylan
- 31:01Speaker 2: Schmidt the Trampolinis is an idiot CAZy?
- 31:04Speaker 4: Well, no, that's certainly not what I'm saying. He came
- 31:06Speaker 4: across like that.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Then I apologied huge trees Roland. He was really good
- 31:10Speaker 2: at the puzzles.
- 31:11Speaker 4: He was great. He was a good puzzler. Right sore
- 31:14Speaker 4: any other good gifts that she was given or she.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Got some other stuff as well. Obviously there was all
- 31:20Speaker 2: the cakes and all the food and everything, and when
- 31:23Speaker 2: she asked for just whole foods, but we just gave
- 31:25Speaker 2: them away to sort of needy people. She's got a
- 31:29Speaker 2: push bike, oh cool? Yeah, yeah, And but she'd been
- 31:32Speaker 2: riding one of those before, jure, we gave her one
- 31:35Speaker 2: of those when she was two and she did a
- 31:36Speaker 2: jump over our garage. That's right.
- 31:39Speaker 4: So okay, So did she get like a big big
- 31:42Speaker 4: bike this time?
- 31:42Speaker 2: Well, she actually got a flat tire. Man, all right,

- 40:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a little bit taller than reaching there.
- 40:46Speaker 5: The Hurdichy Big Show week days from four on Radio Hodiky.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Guns roses there on the Radio Hodeky Big Show this
- 40:54Speaker 1: Tuesday evening. Let's get into some TV chat. What's on
- 40:59Speaker 1: the with Mike Minogue.
- 41:05Speaker 7: Yeah, I didn't watch anything last night.
- 41:17Speaker 2: I've got to put the TV up. And when I say,
- 41:18Speaker 2: I mean a mate has put the TV up in
- 41:20Speaker 2: the wrong room.
- 41:22Speaker 1: You know.
- 41:22Speaker 2: I was trying to convince my wife to put it out,
- 41:28Speaker 2: to put it up in another room. She said no, no,
- 41:30Speaker 2: this is the lounge. And then my mother, who was
- 41:32Speaker 2: here over the wigs, said no, you shared the lounge.
- 41:34Speaker 2: In the end, I was like, you a good idea
- 41:35Speaker 2: whom So now I've got to move the TV. Yeah,
- 41:38Speaker 2: now my mate did it. He's a builder. He did
- 41:40Speaker 2: an incredible job, just screwed the exact right amount of holes. Yes,
- 41:44Speaker 2: so yeah, now I'm going to completely bager.
- 41:46Speaker 1: It, yeah and leave four holes in the wall there.
- 41:49Speaker 1: But that's all good. But what's it called a bit
- 41:52Speaker 1: of character plaster? Plaster? Yeah? I watched New Zealand's Best.
- 41:58Speaker 4: Homes on TVs and plus yes you, I've seen the
- 42:02Speaker 4: thumbnail for that and thought, nah, well I had to.
- 42:05Speaker 2: It looks good, that sounds good, that sounds like it's
- 42:07Speaker 2: right up my head.
- 42:09Speaker 1: You have to, well, because my wife's dad's got one
- 42:11Speaker 1: of his houses and he's part of the show, and incidentally,
- 42:17Speaker 1: his house is spit.
- 42:20Speaker 2: It was terrible.
- 42:21Speaker 1: It's a house that he designed obviously for someone else.
- 42:24Speaker 1: It's magnificent and it was quite good in terms of
- 42:27Speaker 1: because we saw a few other houses obviously, and I
- 42:30Speaker 1: got bored with it. But the way the other half
- 42:32Speaker 1: lives moogie ye, my word.
- 42:34Speaker 2: You're saying that it's inspired you and you're thinking about
- 42:37Speaker 2: getting some underfloor insulation.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Totally, man, totally. It is quite humbling, you know when
- 42:42Speaker 1: that like there were these beautiful collages and queens sound
- 42:45Speaker 1: that were made and it was like, my god, and
- 42:47Speaker 1: I saw my father in law's house, and I thought
- 42:50Speaker 1: to myself, what must he think when he comes around
- 42:53Speaker 1: to a little ship hole. I also watched, of course,
- 42:57Speaker 1: House of Dragons, and I went, no, I'm going to
- 42:59Speaker 1: give it a fig the Simeon have it, give it
- 43:01Speaker 1: a good watch. I'm sorry. It's just a poor man's
- 43:04Speaker 1: Game of Thrones. It lacks the grandeur, it lacks the magnificence.
- 43:10Speaker 2: There the intrigue you were saying, the bus it lacks.
- 43:16Speaker 1: As I've said before, if Game of Thrones had never existed,
- 43:20Speaker 1: I would like House of the Dragon. But actually, because
- 43:22Speaker 1: of Game of Thrones, I go, it's annoying me so much,
- 43:26Speaker 1: and the wigs are still doing my head, and.
- 43:28Speaker 4: I don't think I would like House of the Dragon
- 43:30Speaker 4: because I am perfectly happy to put Game of Thrones
- 43:33Speaker 4: to one side and go right, let's watch this new
- 43:35Speaker 4: fantasy show.
- 43:35Speaker 2: Oh it sucks. Have you watched it.
- 43:37Speaker 4: I've watched seven episodes of the first season, and it
- 43:40Speaker 4: just it just did nothing for me. And it wasn't
- 43:43Speaker 4: because I was thinking of Game of Thrones either. It
- 43:45Speaker 4: just I just didn't think it was that good.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Maybe it's great for me.
- 43:48Speaker 1: It's very heavy in admin, it's very gloomy. It's very chatty.
- 43:52Speaker 4: But when Game of Thrones was heavy with admin, the
- 43:54Speaker 4: writing was so brilliant, Yes that you loved it.
- 43:57Speaker 2: You were lapping. It was intricate, keezy, it was intra
- 44:00Speaker 2: kit chase.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Whereas I'm watching this one going, I don't know what
- 44:02Speaker 1: the hell they're talking about now, it's.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Probably above your head. I reckon, I love it.
- 44:06Speaker 4: I reckon, Just stick with the New Zealands BSEd houses.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Then yeah, maybe it's not that guy fell something from
- 44:13Speaker 1: he does in England the Kraken. Yes for what, Well,
- 44:22Speaker 1: it'll be some half ast doco, no doubt it was.
- 44:27Speaker 4: You were saying, I fear that the only reason you're
- 44:29Speaker 4: with your wife is so that you inherit. All those
- 44:30Speaker 4: nice houses that have Dad designed.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Well, obviously not Key's he because they're not his houses.
- 44:36Speaker 2: Why'd you say that?
- 44:37Speaker 1: Then it's a Strokes Big Show podcast, Massive Attack there
- 44:43Speaker 1: on the Radio Holarky Big Show this Tuesday afternoon. Now
- 44:47Speaker 1: Massive Day for Radio Holarky tomorrow of course Fellas Dayton
- 44:51Speaker 1: Loud too, all day broadcast from the Empire Tavern on
- 44:54Speaker 1: the corner there, and we want punters to come along
- 44:57Speaker 1: because there's going to be no commercials now radio shows
- 45:00Speaker 1: say that, but we mean it, man, No commercials, just
- 45:04Speaker 1: lots of funny stuff going on. We'll be talking a
- 45:06Speaker 1: little bit about, you know, bow cancer and the signs
- 45:08Speaker 1: you need to look out for and what you need
- 45:10Speaker 1: to do, and a serious side to it. But it's
- 45:12Speaker 1: always a good day, mogie, isn't it.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Well it is good because I often find that I
- 45:18Speaker 2: get told information but then I completely forget it.
- 45:21Speaker 1: Yes, and you know one he out the other well, yeah,
- 45:24Speaker 1: and I don't know what it is.
- 45:25Speaker 2: It's like, for example, there's a disease or there's some
- 45:29Speaker 2: kind of sickness called loopis. In New Zealand, it's got
- 45:32Speaker 2: a different name, but in America they call it loopis.
- 45:35Speaker 2: And I cannot tell you the amount of times I've
- 45:36Speaker 2: googled the meaning of the word loopis and going all right,
- 45:40Speaker 2: and I've got no idea what it is. So I'm
- 45:43Speaker 2: somebody that needs to have constant reminders. I need to
- 45:46Speaker 2: know what the signs are when I'm looking for bowel cancer,
- 45:49Speaker 2: so to be able to do it and have a
- 45:50Speaker 2: few lulls along the way, bloody beautiful man.
- 45:53Speaker 1: It raise a bit of cash as well.
- 45:54Speaker 4: Yeah, see that reminder. I need to text there, Jays.
- 45:59Speaker 4: We're raising funds and awareness for Bell Cancer New Zealand.
