- 1:34Speaker 1: coming to town and joining us on this week's episode
- 1:38Speaker 1: to discuss all things Lions and Vikings. Is our longest
- 1:44Speaker 1: term guest on the program not named Chad Daniels, the one,
- 1:49Speaker 1: the only, the man dressed in Santa Claus Lions gear,
- 1:54Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, Zach Martina.
- 1:56Speaker 2: It's me, guys, it's me, and a lot of people
- 1:59Speaker 2: don't know this middle actually is Chad Daniels, so.
- 2:02Speaker 1: He's not gonna like that bit. I'm not sure I
- 2:04Speaker 1: like that bit neither. I don't think either of us
- 2:09Speaker 1: thought that this is where we would be when this
- 2:14Speaker 1: game rolled around. I don't think either of us have
- 2:18Speaker 1: the egos to think we'd be battling it out for
- 2:20Speaker 1: the one seed necessarily. But I don't think we expected
- 2:24Speaker 1: me to be eliminated and you to be so closely standing.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I think our percentage right now is seven and a
- 2:32Speaker 2: half percent it is.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It's not the game we thought. So there's this. There's
- 2:36Speaker 1: a lot of emotional pride between you and I going
- 2:39Speaker 1: into this game. That'll be what drives us, not necessarily
- 2:42Speaker 1: the wins and losses category in terms of playoff appearances.
- 2:47Speaker 1: But I gotta tell you their homeboy, I am quite curious.
- 2:53Speaker 1: This is a look forward pod. It is not a
- 2:55Speaker 1: look backwards pod. But man, am I curious what you
- 3:00Speaker 1: think about the end of your last football game. I've
- 3:03Speaker 1: never seen two straight touchdowns on two straight pass interference plays,
- 3:09Speaker 1: both come back and then the second one to include
- 3:12Speaker 1: a pitch back to the quarterback that threw the ball.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I think they were both penalties. I think they were.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I don't think any of us are arguing that they
- 3:19Speaker 1: were penalties. I don't even think your coach was arguing
- 3:21Speaker 1: that they were penalties. You're doing the eh, you're making
- 3:23Speaker 1: that face.
- 3:24Speaker 2: That only on only on only on one and it
- 3:26Speaker 2: never even should have gotten to the second touchdown. If
- 3:29Speaker 2: you watch that first offensive pass interference, Tislaw was running
- 3:34Speaker 2: a route and he was pushed by a Steeler into
- 3:37Speaker 2: another Steeler. So that's not him doing That's not his fault.
- 3:41Speaker 2: That's not that's not an interference caused by Isaac taesslaw.
- 3:44Speaker 2: That is a pick being set like that was. That
- 3:49Speaker 2: was a Pittsburgh Steeler baiting a penalty and then getting
- 3:53Speaker 2: the catch.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Now, I think even if that's the case, that's two penalties.
- 3:57Speaker 1: They they cheated and then you cheated. So even though
- 4:01Speaker 1: they caused it, I'm sorry, it still happened.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Well this but if the if somebody happened got.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Your hands on a jersey and somebody pulls you to
- 4:07Speaker 1: the ground, and that's a penalty, but you pull someone
- 4:09Speaker 1: else to the ground, that's also a penalty off set
- 4:11Speaker 1: and we start over.
- 4:12Speaker 2: I don't think that Tesla had his hands on him.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you.
- 4:15Speaker 2: I just until, not until he stopped, and then and
- 4:18Speaker 2: then the Almond Rossaint Brown thing. That would never happened
- 4:21Speaker 2: if the uh if if if the Teslav penalty wouldn't
- 4:25Speaker 2: have been called, as I don't think it should have been.
- 4:26Speaker 2: But also it's so frustrating because the week before that
- 4:29Speaker 2: that Kobe Parkinson touchdown catch, Like it's just I this
- 4:36Speaker 2: is a classy podcast, and I'm not going to spew
- 4:40Speaker 2: the rage that I have, but there is broken fur.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Oh oh, I gotta I gotta give a shout out
- 4:46Speaker 2: to my wife. She got her first injury as the
- 4:49Speaker 2: result of a lion's flogging if you will that there
- 4:55Speaker 2: was a play it was to It was on a
- 4:58Speaker 2: Jamison Williams catch and then they ended up the past
- 5:00Speaker 2: her first but like it was so egregious. She threw
- 5:02Speaker 2: her hand up and hit the table. And now she's
- 5:04Speaker 2: got a brace on because her thumb, her thumb is
- 5:06Speaker 2: like sprained or something. And I'm very happy for it's
- 5:08Speaker 2: a rite of passage and shout out to shout out
- 5:10Speaker 2: to you, Emily.
- 5:11Speaker 1: It's like you're raising a cult. Uh I I I'm
- 5:17Speaker 1: very curious also, as I think everybody was waiting for
- 5:22Speaker 1: this Bears bubble to burst. I think some of the
- 5:26Speaker 1: points for against metrics some things told a lot of
- 5:30Speaker 1: people that, you know, maybe historically this is the sort
- 5:34Speaker 1: of team that would make the playoffs and then lose
- 5:36Speaker 1: at home in the first round of the playoffs. But man,
- 5:38Speaker 1: they run the football well.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Sure do.
- 5:41Speaker 1: And and uh, your boy Ben Jonson, who's no longer
- 5:45Speaker 1: your boy, he's your anti boy.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Uh.
- 5:48Speaker 1: It has to hurt because we've we've talked a lot
- 5:52Speaker 1: of love for Dan Campbell on this show. But there
- 5:56Speaker 1: has to be a part of you, at least a
- 5:59Speaker 1: part of you that would rather have him if you
- 6:01Speaker 1: get a pick who to ship out. There's got to
- 6:04Speaker 1: watching what he's doing pretty impressive. There's got to be
- 6:07Speaker 1: a part of you that's like because there's a lot
- 6:10Speaker 1: of you know, there's a lot of talk in college
- 6:13Speaker 1: and pro about the offensive guru, the genius head coach,
- 6:17Speaker 1: you know, like that's what everybody wants. He's the real
- 6:20Speaker 1: deal man.
- 6:22Speaker 2: This You've said this in the past though, about Kevin
- 6:25Speaker 2: O'Connell and these offensive gurus that you're talking about, is
- 6:29Speaker 2: that eventually teams figure out how to stop.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I did say that, don't put that, don't don't you
- 6:36Speaker 1: don't you quote, don't you justta post? Make me my
- 6:40Speaker 1: favorite coach?
- 6:41Speaker 2: So to you sure did go back and check the
- 6:47Speaker 2: but I agree. I think that when an offensive or
- 6:51Speaker 2: defensive guru comes in and they have success as a
- 6:54Speaker 2: coach early on, that the other side of the ball
- 6:56Speaker 2: eventually figures out what they're doing. So to answer your question,
- 7:00Speaker 2: and who would I want as the head coach, particularly
- 7:02Speaker 2: long term, I'm going Dan Campbell because that is not
- 7:05Speaker 2: a guy who is like, he's not doing the ex'es
- 7:09Speaker 2: and o's the same way that Ben Johnson was. That
- 7:11Speaker 2: was not why he was hired. He was hired to
- 7:14Speaker 2: lead the team. And I think he does that and
- 7:16Speaker 2: that's ultimately what I think he want in the head coach,
- 7:18Speaker 2: and that's what that's what I would prefer.
- 7:20Speaker 1: It's just one of my favorite things in sports media
- 7:24Speaker 1: is how we try to decide who gets the credit
- 7:27Speaker 1: for a thing in such a team board, team based
- 7:32Speaker 1: and like togetherness sport right Like the most famous one
- 7:36Speaker 1: obviously is the Brady Belichick conversation. And then I think
- 7:40Speaker 1: the fun thing about this year with how well Drake
- 7:42Speaker 1: may is going, everybody starts going, well, how much credit
- 7:45Speaker 1: does Josh McDaniels get, And how about just the infrastructure
- 7:48Speaker 1: of the organization. So I technically, I generally think you
- 7:53Speaker 1: need great ownership and then you need all these pieces
- 7:56Speaker 1: to fall into place. So I think when we try
- 7:59Speaker 1: to sort it out, it's really silly, but it's very
- 8:01Speaker 1: very fun to do, and I just want to watch
- 8:04Speaker 1: you continue to have to wonder what percentage walked out
- 8:10Speaker 1: of your building and walked into a division rivals, Because
- 8:12Speaker 1: if I'm being honest, if I'm using my fear fan
- 8:15Speaker 1: face right now, if I'm being a scared guy like
- 8:19Speaker 1: I am capable of being, what's happening in Chicago right
- 8:22Speaker 1: now looks like uh oh. For fifteen years, it looks like,
- 8:26Speaker 1: oh no, this is a potentially top three quarterback and
- 8:31Speaker 1: a potentially top three coach. Oh no, that's what that is.
- 8:36Speaker 1: That is the worry that I have watching what's happening there.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Even if they go out in the first round this year,
- 8:43Speaker 1: that throw was nuts.
- 8:45Speaker 2: What Ben Johnson did. The first thing he did was,
- 8:48Speaker 2: I mean, completely rebuilds their offensive line. I think they
- 8:51Speaker 2: have one remaining starter from the previous years and they
- 8:54Speaker 2: completely rebuild that. I think that. I think that that's
- 8:58Speaker 2: the strength of their team. As you said earlier, they're
- 9:00Speaker 2: running the ball absolutely wonderfully. But if there's one thing
- 9:03Speaker 2: Ben Johnson knew, especially from assignment Detroit, like the benefit
- 9:08Speaker 2: of having running backs is great, But the line is
- 9:11Speaker 2: who like he gets it? He gets that it's in
- 9:14Speaker 2: the trenches. I mean, and I think that is I
- 9:16Speaker 2: think that's unique about an offensive guru.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Do you what part of you is in the irrational
- 9:23Speaker 1: hope category right now? Because what needs to happen for
- 9:25Speaker 1: you to get in. Do you know the path?
- 9:27Speaker 2: We got to win out? And I think green Bay has.
- 9:29Speaker 1: To lose out.
- 9:32Speaker 2: I'm not sure because I know right now, all it's
- 9:35Speaker 2: going to take for green Bay to get in is
- 9:37Speaker 2: a win by them and a loss or tie by us.
- 9:40Speaker 1: It's a not great possibility for you, guys. The Packers
- 9:44Speaker 1: are the other side of that. They represent the ninety
- 9:47Speaker 1: two point seven percent and with.
- 9:49Speaker 2: How long's love hurt? Though?
- 9:52Speaker 1: Yeah, but don't don't. You're not some underdog miracle story.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You were a judg whoa, whoa? What are you?
- 10:02Speaker 2: I just I'm curious about how long love is out?
- 10:05Speaker 2: That's that's not all.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I miss I miss heard. I misheard what you said.
- 10:10Speaker 1: I misheard what you said. I apologize. I can be
- 10:15Speaker 1: wrong too. Uh uh. The Lions have to win out.
- 10:20Speaker 1: The Packers have to lose out. That is the official scenario.
- 10:24Speaker 1: A tie gets the Packers into the playoffs.
- 10:26Speaker 2: They've already had one.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Well, that'd be a fun way for them to miss
- 10:29Speaker 1: the playoffs, wouldn't that be great? Yeah? I we're now
- 10:35Speaker 1: we're now sitting here and the question is for you
- 10:38Speaker 1: the other question as we look long term is when
- 10:42Speaker 1: you have these all time quarterbacks, the Peyton Mannings, the
- 10:45Speaker 1: Tom Brady's of the world, right the Patrick mahomes Is
- 10:49Speaker 1: of the world. I like to think of it like
- 10:52Speaker 1: one point zero, two point oh three that that man
- 10:54Speaker 1: and I've talked about this on the show before that
- 10:56Speaker 1: man in the Arena documentary. When that came out, it
- 11:00Speaker 1: was very clear as like, oh, we had our first
- 11:02Speaker 1: run like this, and then the team re morphed around
- 11:05Speaker 1: Tom and this was Tom Brady and his team two
- 11:08Speaker 1: point zero and this was three point zero. He had
- 11:10Speaker 1: like four versions and then he had an extra version
- 11:12Speaker 1: when he went to Tampa Bay. What's interesting is that
- 11:16Speaker 1: almost always happens around a quarterback. You know, before the
- 11:21Speaker 1: salary cap era, you had it happen in San Francisco
- 11:25Speaker 1: around the coach with Bill walshark with the greatest coach
- 11:27Speaker 1: of all time, with you having a very good quarterback.
- 11:31Speaker 1: But I would say not a first ballot, no brainer,
- 11:36Speaker 1: Hall of Famer quarterback, you having lost your coach, Like,
- 11:40Speaker 1: are you at all worried now that you've been through
- 11:42Speaker 1: these three years where you had the opportunity you blew
- 11:45Speaker 1: it in one playoffs with you know, some risk taking
- 11:48Speaker 1: You've had injury situations in the last two years that
- 11:51Speaker 1: have kind of derailed you. Is there any part of
- 11:55Speaker 1: you that says, hey, maybe this window is closing or
- 11:59Speaker 1: what are you see the path to Lions two point oh?
- 12:02Speaker 1: How do you do the two point zero?
- 12:04Speaker 2: The path to Lions two point h in my opinion,
- 12:07Speaker 2: is being able to keep Lions one point oh. On
- 12:12Speaker 2: the field, you mentioned the injuries in the last two years.
- 12:14Speaker 2: It has been like the numbers are staggering, especially as
- 12:17Speaker 2: far as starters go. So the amount of injuries that
- 12:20Speaker 2: we've had on both sides of the ball over the
- 12:23Speaker 2: past two years, particularly the defense, but it's remarkable. It's
- 12:27Speaker 2: I mean, we've we have no say we're down to
- 12:28Speaker 2: our fourth string safeties. We are down to I mean
- 12:33Speaker 2: we've had we had three different centers play last week.
- 12:37Speaker 2: And then there's also some rotation going in at guard
- 12:39Speaker 2: because that is not been healthy, uh, which obviously everybody
- 12:43Speaker 2: has seen goff is you know, as any quarterback is
- 12:46Speaker 2: not as good if your line isn't there with all
- 12:50Speaker 2: those switches too, You've seen Gibbs struggle to find the holes.
- 12:53Speaker 2: I you know, I think Montgomery is more of a
- 12:56Speaker 2: up and down guy, and I think he's broken some
- 12:59Speaker 2: more runs over the past few weeks because he's not
- 13:01Speaker 2: trying to do what Jamior Gibbs tries to do. I
- 13:05Speaker 2: think health. I think health at first and foremost. Maybe
- 13:08Speaker 2: Dan Campbell, if I would say, maybe don't go full
- 13:11Speaker 2: Tilts from day one of training camp, I don't know,
- 13:14Speaker 2: but we do need it. I don't know.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Now you've entered the that was interesting. This is the
- 13:21Speaker 1: first time in our relationship on this program that I've
- 13:25Speaker 1: seen you enter the reality like you'd never really competed,
- 13:33Speaker 1: right your whole life, the team you had that one
- 13:35Speaker 1: Barry Sanders year, you get to an NFC championship, that's it.
- 13:38Speaker 1: You'd never really competed, and now you know the competition
- 13:42Speaker 1: Like last year. I was even asking you, like, what
- 13:44Speaker 1: if this happens? What if that happens. You're like, I
- 13:46Speaker 1: don't care, let it happen.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I'm ready for it.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I'm not worried. And now another year is stacked on
- 13:53Speaker 1: top of it, and I hear you talking more like
- 13:56Speaker 1: a Buffalo Bills fan or a It'sburg Steelers fan or
- 14:01Speaker 1: a Los Angeles Ram guys who now have tasted that
- 14:06Speaker 1: you can actually win in this league, and it is possible.
- 14:09Speaker 1: And I can see your I can see your I
- 14:13Speaker 1: can see you growing into a real NFL fan right
- 14:16Speaker 1: in front of my eyeballs.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Oh my god. Well, you know, if Christmas is one
- 14:23Speaker 2: thing we can say is it's to see those you
- 14:26Speaker 2: love grow and flourish. And I'm so happy that I'm growing.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I wouldn't say flourishing, it's growth. I don't know.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean the injuries. I think Dan Campbell has
- 14:39Speaker 2: actually done a pretty solid job. And you know, everybody's
- 14:44Speaker 2: calling for Kelvin Shepherd's job as a defensive coordinator, but
- 14:48Speaker 2: I maintain that I think the team plays for him.
- 14:50Speaker 2: And uh, when you are down your entire starting secondary
- 14:56Speaker 2: at one point, yeah, you're gonna get You're gonna get
- 14:58Speaker 2: torched for big plays. I mean there's a reason their
- 15:00Speaker 2: third and fourth string coming up off the practice squad.
- 15:03Speaker 1: So can I tell you, having been eliminated even before you,
- 15:08Speaker 1: what is keeping me? I have to find little morsels.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Chad and I talk about this, So I gotta find
- 15:12Speaker 1: little things to connect myself to to really care sure
- 15:15Speaker 1: how competitive I am, Otherwise I'll get bummed out. And
- 15:18Speaker 1: you just mentioned the secondary struggling in the defense. You
- 15:21Speaker 1: know what, I'm grabbing a hold of.
- 15:22Speaker 2: What's that?
- 15:23Speaker 1: For this Christmas game? I'd love to see bro Show
- 15:27Speaker 1: Max Brosmer. I'd love to see him not against the
- 15:32Speaker 1: best defense with the best plan in the NFL and
- 15:35Speaker 1: the hardest stadium to play in the coldest weather, Like
- 15:38Speaker 1: I want, I want bro Show to get another shot.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I would Here's the thing I like, JJ McCarthy, I
- 15:44Speaker 1: would love I think I think a lot of people
- 15:48Speaker 1: are like, well, what would happen? That's a great problem
- 15:51Speaker 1: to have. I would love to see bro Show go
- 15:53Speaker 1: out and put three or four touchdowns in two hundred
- 15:55Speaker 1: and eighty yards on you guys and just open up
- 15:58Speaker 1: some chaos moving forward in the fan base because this
- 16:03Speaker 1: fan base, our relationship with quarterbacks, I would argue, is
- 16:09Speaker 1: like maybe no other fan base. I mean, you guys
- 16:13Speaker 1: had a weird one, even though you had Stafford, But
- 16:17Speaker 1: the Cleveland Browns have a hilarious one, and up until
- 16:20Speaker 1: Caleb Williams, I think Chicago owned the title for we
- 16:24Speaker 1: have a weird relationship with quarterbacks in this fan base.
- 16:27Speaker 2: But even for sure, so I'm hoping that they go
- 16:32Speaker 2: back to.
- 16:33Speaker 1: That for sure. I think it's hard to argue with that. Now,
- 16:36Speaker 1: I think so many like we have. This team has
- 16:41Speaker 1: one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game
- 16:43Speaker 1: of football, if not arguably one of the most important,
- 16:48Speaker 1: if not maybe the most important, in fran Tarkentin, the
- 16:51Speaker 1: man invented scrambling. I had he won a couple of
- 16:57Speaker 1: Super Bowls. Two of those super Bowls, I think we
- 17:00Speaker 1: discuss him right below Brady. He's right at the top
- 17:03Speaker 1: of the mix where he should be even without the
- 17:05Speaker 1: Super Bowls. And then you go through this long journey
- 17:10Speaker 1: walking through the desert with no quarterback water, and so
- 17:15Speaker 1: whenever anybody comes in, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter
- 17:18Speaker 1: if it's this is what I've learned. It doesn't matter.
- 17:20Speaker 1: If it's Kirk Cousins, doesn't matter. If it's JJ McCarthy.
- 17:23Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. If it's Wade Wilson or Rich Gannon
- 17:25Speaker 1: or Randall Cunningham or Todd Bauman or Bubby Brister or
- 17:30Speaker 1: Jeff Frickin' George. Doesn't matter. If it's Dante Culpepper, it
- 17:34Speaker 1: doesn't matter. If it's Brett Favre, Tavaris Jackson or Gus Faratt.
- 17:37Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. If it's Christian Ponder. It doesn't matter
- 17:40Speaker 1: which of these men it is. This fan base will
- 17:43Speaker 1: have a significant portion of the people who get so
- 17:47Speaker 1: on board with them being the future at the first
- 17:51Speaker 1: glimpse of one sign of positivity, and there will be
- 17:54Speaker 1: another portion of the fan base who the quarterback could
- 17:58Speaker 1: throw for five hundred yards and five touchdowns, they'd be like,
- 18:01Speaker 1: miss that one, though, Like that there is and it's
- 18:04Speaker 1: not like those are the extremes. I think that's forty
- 18:08Speaker 1: percent on each side. I think there's only twenty percent
- 18:11Speaker 1: of people left over in the rational middle in terms
- 18:15Speaker 1: of this fan base his feelings about quarterbacks.
- 18:18Speaker 2: I mean everybody. That's the exact same situation right now
- 18:21Speaker 2: in Detroit, because forget the fact that you know, Goff
- 18:26Speaker 2: has thrown for over four thousand yards and over thirty
- 18:29Speaker 2: touchdowns in three consecutive seasons, joining a list of only
- 18:32Speaker 2: five other quarterbacks who have done that and gotten us
- 18:35Speaker 2: to an NFC championship and puts up all these numbers.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Everyone's like, he needs to go, he needs to go,
- 18:40Speaker 2: he needs to go, and it's like he's doing everything
- 18:42Speaker 2: he can do, like, oh, he's not sure. He's been
- 18:44Speaker 2: a little bit off this year. As opposed to other years,
- 18:47Speaker 2: but he's also under a lot more duress, and he
- 18:50Speaker 2: makes a lot of smart plays of not taking he's
- 18:54Speaker 2: last year he would have thrown balls away, where this
- 18:57Speaker 2: year he's getting sacked and he's not. He's just a
- 19:00Speaker 2: not have the same time. And then you know, you
- 19:02Speaker 2: start comparing to Stafford, and it's like it's the hypotheticals
- 19:06Speaker 2: of it. It's it's it's absolutely.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Did you did you think? Did you think Stafford would
- 19:10Speaker 1: play long enough to win a Super Bowl? Go through
- 19:14Speaker 1: a lull where it looked like that team need to
- 19:16Speaker 1: rebuild and then be a super Bowl contender again. Because
- 19:18Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, if he goes and wins a
- 19:20Speaker 1: second Super Bowl, that's gonna suck for you guys. The
- 19:23Speaker 1: first one good, good for him. The second one's gonna suck.
- 19:27Speaker 2: This. But I also know, I also know the Lions
- 19:31Speaker 2: that he played.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I understand, but he there's not an alternative timeline where
- 19:36Speaker 1: if he would have stayed, they would have stayed those Lions,
- 19:38Speaker 1: they would be these Lions, you know. So I'm just
- 19:42Speaker 1: saying I don't think anyone myself included thought when he
- 19:44Speaker 1: went to the Rams, I thought he'd play a couple
- 19:46Speaker 1: of years and retire. I didn't think he'd still be
- 19:49Speaker 1: playing right now. You could still have Matthew Stafford on
- 19:54Speaker 1: this team in theory. Now, yes, that costs you some
- 19:56Speaker 1: draft picks, and you know, the whole world would be different.
- 20:00Speaker 1: But I do I think if Matthew Stafford wins one
- 20:03Speaker 1: this year, or plays a couple more years and wins one,
- 20:06Speaker 1: that trade gets weirder and it gets harder as a Lions.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I well, you said that Stafford is still playing, and
- 20:14Speaker 2: he's still playing with these Lions. He's not playing with
- 20:16Speaker 2: these Lions. He's not playing with the core of our team.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I mean the bulk of the star players on our team,
- 20:24Speaker 2: the vast majority of those players.
- 20:26Speaker 1: It can't be the vast majority. You don't say vast majority.
- 20:28Speaker 1: It can't be the vast Okay, it's twenty two guys.
- 20:32Speaker 2: It's it's Sam Laporta, It's Brian Branch, It's Jamiir Gibbs,
- 20:36Speaker 2: it's Jack Campbell, it's I know that there's more. It's see,
- 20:41Speaker 2: it's one of.
- 20:41Speaker 1: The sam Say the Sam Laporta comes from the Vikings.
- 20:44Speaker 1: We gave you that that you traded us your tight end.
- 20:49Speaker 1: We gave you that pick you draft Sam Laporta. Don't
- 20:52Speaker 1: put that on Matt staff.
- 20:54Speaker 2: No, no, we we moved up with picks from the Stafford.
- 20:58Speaker 1: You are dancing like like a small town politician at
- 21:02Speaker 1: a town hall. Let me guess did did Did it
- 21:06Speaker 1: also get you Jamison Williams and Amon Ross Saint Brown and.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Not get the stadium.
- 21:14Speaker 1: I don't need you to go to law I see
- 21:16Speaker 1: you typing. I don't think go to Lions Reddit to
- 21:19Speaker 1: find some guy with and string going from place to
- 21:24Speaker 1: place to tell you why the Stafford pick. If Stafford
- 21:27Speaker 1: would have stayed, you still could have made moves. It
- 21:29Speaker 1: wouldn't be the example to say a vast majority of
- 21:32Speaker 1: your talent. That's a wild thing to say.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Well, I think who, I mean, who do you think
- 21:37Speaker 2: our talent is? Because if if you look at the
- 21:39Speaker 2: players that everybody's like, oh they're great, Oh they're great.
- 21:43Speaker 2: He was drafted, not part of it, not part of
- 21:47Speaker 2: I think he's.
- 21:48Speaker 1: The most talented football player on your team. I agree, uh,
- 21:52Speaker 1: And I think the second most talented football player on
- 21:54Speaker 1: your team is aid Aiden Hutchson.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Okay, was he part of it? No?
- 21:59Speaker 1: Keep it pay? That's tuober due. Then next up, I
- 22:01Speaker 1: would say, I'm on ros Saint Brown, right.
- 22:04Speaker 2: And now you're getting yes, no, no, And now you're
- 22:07Speaker 2: getting into the rest. These next five to six players
- 22:09Speaker 2: are all part of that trade.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Okay. First of all, five to six, you're again. I
- 22:14Speaker 1: think when you say five to six, the reality is
- 22:16Speaker 1: three to four. And you made it. You said a
- 22:19Speaker 1: vast majority. I just there's twenty two.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Guys five to six. I said of Star. I said
- 22:25Speaker 2: of Star, I said Core. I did not say of
- 22:29Speaker 2: the whole roster. Now you play it back and you
- 22:31Speaker 2: tell me that I said anything.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Now, now here's what I want you to do. If
- 22:34Speaker 1: somebody had to tell you, gun to your mouth, right,
- 22:37Speaker 1: I don't know how much.
- 22:38Speaker 2: How am I going to answer? How am I gonna gun?
- 22:40Speaker 2: Gun to your head? Because you came to my head,
- 22:42Speaker 2: it's gone to your head. I can't answer if there's
- 22:44Speaker 2: a gun in mind.
- 22:44Speaker 1: See your mouth, your mouth is open, yeah, could you
- 22:47Speaker 1: could you please?
- 22:48Speaker 2: Could you get it out? The only person that would
- 22:52Speaker 2: understand the answer is a dentist.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Listen to me. If I told you you had to
- 22:58Speaker 1: give a like direct you can't. You can't weave a web.
- 23:03Speaker 1: All right, here's the direct result of the trade. You
- 23:06Speaker 1: tell me who's on your team because he's gone the
- 23:09Speaker 1: direct result, not some Because here's the thing. You can't
- 23:11Speaker 1: say Sam Laporta. Sam Laporta, Sam Reporta wouldn't have worked
- 23:15Speaker 1: without the Hockinson trade. You don't get that. You don't
- 23:18Speaker 1: you you can say that that's partially because of it.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I want to separate this into two categories. I want
- 23:24Speaker 1: to do the ones that are you can have made
- 23:26Speaker 1: no other moves. You can't have made no other moves.
- 23:29Speaker 2: Then the draft is different. We're not in the same position.
- 23:31Speaker 2: We're on the same picks. We moved all sorts of
- 23:33Speaker 2: picks to move up and down. Yeah, I just I
- 23:36Speaker 2: can't do it. You're asking me to do something, but
- 23:38Speaker 2: you can't say Sam Laporta. If I can't say Sam Laporta.
- 23:42Speaker 1: You can't say Sam Laporta. The main reason you have
- 23:45Speaker 1: Sam Laporta is because we traded you a pick for Hockinson.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Huh can I'm gone?
- 23:55Speaker 2: I know who he is. I thank you so much.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Why is your computer so far above your head? I
- 24:01Speaker 1: have sort of weird radio station setup. Do you have
- 24:04Speaker 1: any you are?
- 24:05Speaker 2: You are my middle screen, and then above that is
- 24:09Speaker 2: another screen, and then below that is my laptop because
- 24:11Speaker 2: this is my editing bay. This is also where I
- 24:13Speaker 2: Jamie editing.
- 24:14Speaker 1: Jamie, could you please tell me who we got for
- 24:17Speaker 1: the who the actual picks were offended.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Jamie Terry and Arnold and Antoine Green. Yeah, we got used.
- 24:25Speaker 2: You did send us a twenty twenty three second round
- 24:27Speaker 2: pick and a twenty twenty four third or third round pick,
- 24:30Speaker 2: and we got Sam Laporta in the twenty twenty three draft.
- 24:34Speaker 2: But we also got Brian Branch, so you can't say
- 24:36Speaker 2: that it was Brian Branch.
- 24:37Speaker 1: I think you. But what you're saying is we got
- 24:41Speaker 1: all those because of Stafford. You got them all because
- 24:43Speaker 1: you have a good GM.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Who turns the staff pick.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Obviously, the lineup, We've spent way too much time on this.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Obviously the line your your your current lines would look
- 24:53Speaker 1: different with Matt Stafford, but so would your quarterback. And
- 24:56Speaker 1: the only point I was making is the longer that
- 24:59Speaker 1: staff plays the more the more the Rams return to
- 25:05Speaker 1: relevance like they have this year, which, by the way,
- 25:07Speaker 1: great win by the Seahawks because the Rams look very good.
- 25:10Speaker 1: The more they return to relevance, I think, the weirder
- 25:14Speaker 1: and harder that trade gets Super Bowl? Yeah, but when's
- 25:19Speaker 1: that gonna happen?
- 25:20Speaker 2: What is Stafford going this year? You're saying if he
- 25:23Speaker 2: wins another one. I'm saying, if golf wins, if gets
- 25:26Speaker 2: there next year or the following year. You're giving me
- 25:28Speaker 2: an if. Why can't I answer with an if? Because
- 25:30Speaker 2: you're not a level playing field. Sigh, you are? You are.
- 25:33Speaker 2: I'm I'm walking up one hundred yards and you're running down.
- 25:37Speaker 1: You skipped. You skipped my original question with a nonsense answer,
- 25:41Speaker 1: which was how are you gonna get to Lions two
- 25:43Speaker 1: point zero? And it was like, we just gotta get healthy. Well,
- 25:46Speaker 1: eventually all these stars, I said. My point is the
- 25:50Speaker 1: two point zero is about the shift of roster resources, Right,
- 25:57Speaker 1: that's what happens that we're gonna have to happen. Well,
- 26:00Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying. And often great teams survive that
- 26:05Speaker 1: shift with elite level quarterback play. Otherwise they disappear and rebuild. Right,
- 26:12Speaker 1: That's what those are kind of the two arcs in
- 26:15Speaker 1: the NFL universe. Either you have a Peyton Manning, Tom Brady,
- 26:19Speaker 1: Patrick Mahomes or yeah, you have some down years, but
- 26:22Speaker 1: you kind of build and like the Chiefs were this
- 26:25Speaker 1: offensive juggernaut. They won with Tyreek, and then they traded Tyreek,
- 26:29Speaker 1: they regrouped, rebuilt, they became a defensive team. They won again,
- 26:33Speaker 1: and now they're probably going to go through another one
- 26:35Speaker 1: and I would not be surprised to see them doing
- 26:38Speaker 1: well at some point, very very very soon. It's harder
- 26:41Speaker 1: to do when you don't have an elite level quarterback.
- 26:44Speaker 1: So my question to you is, what is the plan
- 26:48Speaker 1: to do two point zero? Are you going to be
- 26:49Speaker 1: the best drafted team in the NFL over the last
- 26:53Speaker 1: thirty years? Which could be an answer, You've got a
- 26:55Speaker 1: great GM, are you so over the last two years?
- 27:00Speaker 1: There he is welcome to being a real NFL fan.
- 27:03Speaker 1: We wouldn't have heard that, Zach two years ago. I
- 27:05Speaker 1: would have just been like.
- 27:07Speaker 2: Come on, you can't say I would have heard that
- 27:09Speaker 2: two years ago, because I'm saying the last two years.
- 27:12Speaker 2: The rookies this year and then oh, I'm gonna judge
- 27:14Speaker 2: the rookies last year. It's a different frame of reference.
- 27:19Speaker 2: I you gaslighting sob.
- 27:22Speaker 1: You don't even know what gaslighting you.
- 27:24Speaker 2: I don't even know what gaslighting me? And rage baiting me,
- 27:26Speaker 2: and this is these are the things that my daughter's.
- 27:28Speaker 1: I've never even heard of gaslighting. I don't know how
- 27:31Speaker 1: to light gas I think accusing me of gas lighting
- 27:35Speaker 1: is a very not kind thing to do for someone
- 27:37Speaker 1: who doesn't even have access to you.
- 27:39Speaker 2: You're talking to me about being unkind and unreasonable with
- 27:44Speaker 2: these asinine questions.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe it's been a long season from Maybe maybe
- 27:54Speaker 3: I should go to therapy, or maybe my wife is
- 27:56Speaker 3: wrong and I should just do this because I feel
- 27:59Speaker 3: really good right now.
- 28:00Speaker 2: I do feel cleansed. It's good to laugh.
- 28:03Speaker 1: I want the Bro Show to hang just a pound
- 28:06Speaker 1: of touchdowns on you guys. That's that's my big.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Well, what's the touchdown to pound ratio? How many ounces
- 28:13Speaker 2: is a touchdown?
- 28:15Speaker 1: Six touchdowns per pound?
- 28:16Speaker 2: Six touchdowns per pound?
- 28:18Speaker 1: Okay, I don't know what that breaks out to in
- 28:21Speaker 1: terms of ounce's little it's a little over two point
- 28:25Speaker 1: whatever whatever, you know, two pounds, whatever ounces or excuse me,
- 28:29Speaker 1: two ounces whatever, it doesn't matter, two point outs. Don't
- 28:34Speaker 1: put me on the spot with Matt. Don't gaslight me.
- 28:38Speaker 1: What what needs to you are in a fun position,
- 28:42Speaker 1: you know, especially with what's going on in Green Bay,
- 28:44Speaker 1: Like you mentioned, if you can get this game, if
- 28:48Speaker 1: you can beat us in this game? You then do
- 28:50Speaker 1: do the Packers play? They're not one of the They're
- 28:54Speaker 1: not one.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Of They're not one of the Christmas games. No, it's
- 28:57Speaker 2: Denver in Kansas City, and then I can't remember who
- 29:00Speaker 2: is it one? But it's not the Packers. I don't
- 29:01Speaker 2: think you.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Get to put the pressure on, which is really really
- 29:05Speaker 1: really nice. They have to watch you win and then
- 29:08Speaker 1: know that they have to win, you know, or they
- 29:12Speaker 1: face so last week win and in losing out if
- 29:15Speaker 1: they win type situation.
- 29:17Speaker 2: I think it's there playing a balt Green bas playing
- 29:19Speaker 2: a Baltimore team that also has to win.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Yes, I mean they have Tyler Hunley, so that's going
- 29:24Speaker 1: to be hard, but it's I just think it's a
- 29:29Speaker 1: really really it's as good of a seven percent situation
- 29:33Speaker 1: as you can ask for, because you want to play first,
- 29:35Speaker 1: you want to apply the pressure. I don't feel good
- 29:38Speaker 1: about your odds. I was really looking forward to the point.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Who feels good about seven and a half percent odds? Y?
- 29:43Speaker 2: Who feels good about that?
- 29:45Speaker 1: I didn't say anybody did. I was just mentioning. Am
- 29:47Speaker 1: I not allowed to mention how I feel about the odds?
- 29:51Speaker 3: No?
- 29:51Speaker 2: SI, you know what you are. I'm so happy that
- 29:53Speaker 2: you're with the rest of us.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Listen to me. I make up my own mind. I'm
- 30:00Speaker 1: an individual. I look at what's happening in front of me,
- 30:03Speaker 1: I assess situations. I come to my own conclusions, and
- 30:06Speaker 1: I bring them to this place that I thought used
- 30:08Speaker 1: to be safe, where I would share moments with one
- 30:10Speaker 1: of my closest friends as we discuss our two teams,
- 30:13Speaker 1: one of which seems to never get over the hump
- 30:16Speaker 1: and the other of which is perennially terrible. And now
- 30:19Speaker 1: we both have all these built expectations and we're sitting
- 30:22Speaker 1: here playing a nearly meaningless playoff from a playoff relevancy
- 30:26Speaker 1: standpoint football game on Christmas. And I'm just trying to
- 30:30Speaker 1: call it like I see it, and you're just attacking me.
- 30:33Speaker 1: You over and over.
- 30:35Speaker 2: That little use of the word nearly meaningless is the
- 30:41Speaker 2: definition of gas lighting, because it is very meaningful over
- 30:45Speaker 2: on this end, nearly meaningless. It's meaningless for you, meaningless
- 30:49Speaker 2: for the Minnesota.
- 30:50Speaker 1: But I told you, I'm really hoping bro Show drops
- 30:53Speaker 1: a pound of touchdowns on you.
- 30:54Speaker 2: That'd be meaningful for what your Christmas ham. You're your
- 30:59Speaker 2: enjoyment your Christmas ham.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Yeah, some people just like competitive sport, Zach, we don't guess.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Listen.
- 31:07Speaker 3: Listen to me.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Listen to me. It's hard to explain to a Lions fan.
- 31:10Speaker 2: There's no nearly no, there's no nearly meaningless. Then the
- 31:15Speaker 2: point is.
- 31:19Speaker 1: The point is I'm concerned that it will be difficult
- 31:24Speaker 1: to build a Lions two point zero, especially with the
- 31:27Speaker 1: grim drafting picture you painted, which I don't tend to
- 31:30Speaker 1: agree with. I think you have a phenomenal uh. I
- 31:32Speaker 1: think you have a phenomenal situation over there.
- 31:34Speaker 2: I didn't I say we had a you Oh my god,
- 31:39Speaker 2: am I a dictionary and you're a publisher just putting
- 31:42Speaker 2: words all of it.
- 31:43Speaker 1: You have an addiction. I think you have an addiction
- 31:45Speaker 1: to not being honest with your friend on a podcast.
- 31:47Speaker 1: I think you're addicted to the rush of not coming Jamie.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Could you look up football addiction, Jamie, Jamie, could you
- 31:56Speaker 1: look up football addiction? Listen to me, Zach, Listen to me.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Can I ask you a real question?
- 32:03Speaker 2: It'd be nice to hear one for the first time today?
- 32:07Speaker 1: Can I ask you? So, Let's say we're living in
- 32:09Speaker 1: an alternate universe where this game has a ton of
- 32:14Speaker 1: meaning mm hmm, right, Like, Hey, the division's essentially on
- 32:18Speaker 1: the line.
- 32:19Speaker 2: It's the last game of the season last year.
- 32:22Speaker 1: How deep are you in Jay and I's DMS trying
- 32:26Speaker 1: to go to a Christmas Day game? Or would you
- 32:28Speaker 1: never consider it if I was thinking about going. It's
- 32:32Speaker 1: on Netflix, a really big deal. Everything's on the line.
- 32:35Speaker 1: How deep are you in the thought process of like, yeah,
- 32:38Speaker 1: Christmas is great.
- 32:39Speaker 2: You're gonna get both ski because JJ McCarthy just got
- 32:42Speaker 2: a hairline fracture, he's out this week.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Did that just officially because.
- 32:46Speaker 2: That just came out from Adam Schefter?
- 32:48Speaker 1: Or so we because it's Christmas, we recorded early, This
- 32:51Speaker 1: show's coming out this week, so we're official, So that
- 32:54Speaker 1: that means we're getting bro show.
- 32:56Speaker 2: To answer your question, though, real quick to answer your question.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Alternate verse, it's the game and it's Christmas Day. As
- 33:03Speaker 2: a Midwesterner, I'm never asking.
- 33:06Speaker 1: I can't yes, But in your heart are you wanting?
- 33:10Speaker 1: Are you hinting and wanting?
- 33:11Speaker 2: If I do? If I could have gotten my family
- 33:14Speaker 2: out there this year, I would have been.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Asking, Oh, interesting, what's the drive?
- 33:20Speaker 2: Oh we would fly?
- 33:22Speaker 1: God, that can't be economically reasonable?
- 33:26Speaker 2: Well, we all have. We have companion tickets, companion ticket
- 33:30Speaker 2: and tickets because we're Delta Sky. The sky Miles thing, you.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Don't know anything about flying. I'm convinced you know less
- 33:38Speaker 1: about flying than you do how to create a two
- 33:41Speaker 1: points What do you mean? What do you mean the
- 33:44Speaker 1: sky Miles. That's not how companion tickets work.
- 33:46Speaker 2: If you are a sky Miles member, if you are
- 33:49Speaker 2: registered and have a sky Miles credit card as being
- 33:52Speaker 2: a part of that group, you can have a companion
- 33:56Speaker 2: ticket for any flight and in the continental US and
- 33:59Speaker 2: like some other places in.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Oh, it's a singular. It's a singular. I thought you
- 34:03Speaker 1: were saying like you had access to companion tickets on
- 34:06Speaker 1: the rags.
- 34:07Speaker 2: You're saying, no, we haven't used it yet. We would
- 34:09Speaker 2: have used it. We saved those for events such as this,
- 34:12Speaker 2: such as this.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Okay, well, hey, I don't know, given the way that
- 34:15Speaker 1: this year's gone, that they're gonna put us against one
- 34:17Speaker 1: another on the last game of the season next year.
- 34:19Speaker 1: But if they are, maybe that's something to look forward to.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Since you're so grimly moving past your seven percent chance
- 34:28Speaker 1: of still getting into the playoffs, what about.
- 34:31Speaker 2: What I said has come across as grim.
- 34:34Speaker 1: I don't we can ask. It just seemed I don't
- 34:37Speaker 1: grim maybe is not the right word. But defeat us
- 34:39Speaker 1: this I've been trying to talk you into. I've been
- 34:44Speaker 1: trying to talk.
- 34:46Speaker 2: I haven't been this mad since the Lions got hosed
- 34:49Speaker 2: at the end of that Steelers game.
- 34:52Speaker 1: Oh that thing where there was no bad calls, and
- 34:55Speaker 1: even Dan Campbell was like we did committed to.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Dad Campbell is never going to blame the refs. That's
- 35:00Speaker 2: the type of head coach we have.
- 35:04Speaker 1: Mm hmm, Jamie, could you bring up that play? Jamie?
- 35:09Speaker 2: Both bring both both both?
- 35:12Speaker 1: Do you think anybody gets the Jamie reference or do
- 35:14Speaker 1: you think they think because the show's producer is Jay,
- 35:17Speaker 1: that it's just not been The point is I love
- 35:21Speaker 1: you a lot and I will be and I somehow
- 35:26Speaker 1: am rooting for you while not rooting for you, because
- 35:29Speaker 1: I would love to see you have a change here.
- 35:33Speaker 1: What my big thing is this year. I like that
- 35:35Speaker 1: the Ravens are probably not going to go. I like
- 35:37Speaker 1: that the Chiefs are not in. I would like the
- 35:40Speaker 1: Packers to be out. I would like you to be in.
- 35:42Speaker 1: That's what That's what the football universe needs. Unfortunately, that
- 35:46Speaker 1: comes face to face with what I need, which is
- 35:49Speaker 1: bro Show to hang a pound of touchdowns and a
- 35:52Speaker 1: bunch of yards on you and the Vikings to get
- 35:56Speaker 1: a tasty little Christmas cookie victory. But I just want
- 36:01Speaker 1: you to know that I'm thinking about you, and I'm
- 36:03Speaker 1: rooting for you, and I'm hoping that you, as you
- 36:06Speaker 1: transition in your NFL fandom into this Zach Martine two
- 36:11Speaker 1: point zero, a new version of a Lions fan, that
- 36:15Speaker 1: you will just continue to be the guy you've always.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Been based on everything that has happened in this podcast recording,
- 36:22Speaker 2: I don't since even a modicum of.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Sincerity, and you so sincere.
- 36:28Speaker 2: I don't believe it for a second, since I don't.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Your eyes are moving around like you're hiding from behind
- 36:34Speaker 2: a painting in a haunted house. Right now, You're like,
- 36:36Speaker 2: so I was in here.
- 36:37Speaker 1: I just don't like making an eye contact with you
- 36:39Speaker 1: because I don't know how you're feeling about what's going on,
- 36:41Speaker 1: and I don't want to aggravate you or trigger you.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Let's do predictions. Let's go ahead and do predictions. I'm
- 36:49Speaker 1: gonna let you have the four because you've kind of.
- 36:51Speaker 2: No no, no, no, no, please please please.
- 36:53Speaker 1: No no no, no, no, no, no.
- 36:54Speaker 2: You know what, For as long as no listen. For
- 36:57Speaker 2: as long as you and I have been talking lions
- 36:59Speaker 2: of Vikings on this podcast, I've always gone first. And
- 37:03Speaker 2: that is and you know, and that's selfish, and I
- 37:05Speaker 2: don't want to be selfish, particularly on the holidays. So
- 37:08Speaker 2: why don't you go ahead and go first? And then
- 37:11Speaker 2: I'll close it up.
- 37:13Speaker 1: You're not the host of the show, you know what.
- 37:16Speaker 2: I'm not. I'm not, but I am. I am a
- 37:18Speaker 2: good person, and I just I can't in good conscience
- 37:22Speaker 2: let you have me go first again, because that is
- 37:25Speaker 2: just h it feels bad.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Well, because I know you're going through it, I will,
- 37:33Speaker 1: I will break my hosting rules and I will let
- 37:36Speaker 1: you have this moment of self fulfillment that you're searching for.
- 37:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna go. I do think the lines are still
- 37:45Speaker 1: gonna score. I think they'll put about who's gonna say thirteen,
- 37:47Speaker 1: But I think they might put seventeen on the board,
- 37:49Speaker 1: but I want to stick with thirteen. I'm gonna say
- 37:51Speaker 1: thirteen on the board. I think the Vikings probably one
- 37:56Speaker 1: hundred and twenty.
- 38:00Speaker 2: Eight yards cool, one hundred and twenty eight yards sure.
- 38:03Speaker 1: No, that makes makes points to thirteen yards.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Thirteen points. That's a thirteen that's not a pound of touchdowns.
- 38:12Speaker 1: That's not even two touch The Lions and the Minnesota
- 38:15Speaker 1: fan base spends an entire offseason arguing about what that means.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Go ahead, Zach, I think that the Bro Show is
- 38:27Speaker 2: going to result in how most people feel about individuals
- 38:31Speaker 2: who call other people Bro. He's gonna upset you, guys.
- 38:34Speaker 2: You're gonna be pretty upset with his performance.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Nonsense. Why I not only do I think Bro Show
- 38:43Speaker 1: is gonna put on a show. I think Jefferson's gonna
- 38:46Speaker 1: come alive. I think we're gonna I think Bro Show
- 38:48Speaker 1: is going to hang a pound of touchdowns. I think
- 38:50Speaker 1: Jefferson's gonna have eight catches one hundred and forty yards
- 38:54Speaker 1: one Tuddy. Put it in the books, whatever books you have.
- 38:58Speaker 1: I know you're not a big reader. Put it in
- 38:59Speaker 1: a put it in and put it in a journal.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Write it down. Take that to the bank, and that
- 39:06Speaker 1: guy'll tell you we don't take stuff like this at
- 39:09Speaker 1: the bank.
- 39:09Speaker 2: But he will laugh. He will laugh at the suggestion
- 39:12Speaker 2: because because.
- 39:16Speaker 1: I wouldn't have ever put that in the bank, because
- 39:18Speaker 1: that doesn't make sense. But he was right about what
- 39:19Speaker 1: was gonna happen with Brochow and Jefferson.
- 39:22Speaker 2: I think that the Lions are going to come out
- 39:28Speaker 2: and play with it. I think they're gonna put up
- 39:30Speaker 2: the points that they put up early in the year.
- 39:32Speaker 2: I think we're gonna get thirty plus. I think you
- 39:34Speaker 2: guys might get twenty four, might get twenty four. I
- 39:39Speaker 2: think more realistic seventeen. I think Aiden Hutchinson has probably
- 39:44Speaker 2: three sacks. And if Amen Ra or Jamiir Gibbs don't
- 39:48Speaker 2: have three touchdowns by themselves, then Amen Ra, David Montgomery,
- 39:52Speaker 2: and Jamier Gibbs are all gonna have a touddy.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Okay, well those are two very different predictions, but I
- 39:57Speaker 1: don't have time.
- 39:57Speaker 2: No, it's three three three three rule of three, and
- 40:00Speaker 2: I just.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Like either they're gonna get three touchdowns themselves or three
- 40:04Speaker 1: total guys will get three touchdowns. Wow, what a wow,
- 40:08Speaker 1: What a wow?
- 40:15Speaker 2: What a.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Cover all your basis prediction. Here's the thing I care
- 40:22Speaker 1: about you deeply. I am I am wishing you. I'm
- 40:30Speaker 1: wishing you a very merry Christmas. I hope you enjoy
