- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Now you'll find out what it all means. Hey smarts
- 0:06Speaker 2: alone on seven tenor Hey, it's Monday, but it's a
- 0:12Speaker 2: great Monday, because this is gonna be a three day
- 0:15Speaker 2: weekend coming up. Memorial Day is coming weekend. We got
- 0:18Speaker 2: a lot to get to. You're not gonna believe this.
- 0:20Speaker 2: The people that run this climate change hoax are confessing
- 0:25Speaker 2: admitting it may not be true. We'll get to that.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Coming up. We'll get to President Trump and China, the
- 0:32Speaker 2: real truth, not the Sunday Show fake news truth. We'll
- 0:36Speaker 2: get to pathetic Little Colbert, his final week is here.
- 0:40Speaker 2: We'll get to twenty twenty eight. We'll get to the
- 0:44Speaker 2: Long Island Railroad strike. Of course, let's get to that
- 0:48Speaker 2: first Long Island Railroad on strike. Now, apparently they're back
- 0:54Speaker 2: in the negotiations. They had walked out, everybody had walked out,
- 0:58Speaker 2: but the MTAP people are back in there. MTA run
- 1:02Speaker 2: by Janno Lieber, who is just a pompous ass, very
- 1:06Speaker 2: very tough to get anything done with. That guy, just
- 1:08Speaker 2: an awful guy. He's the guy Hokel put in there. Hokel,
- 1:12Speaker 2: of course, a total disaster, totally incapable of negotiating anything,
- 1:17Speaker 2: and it's caused nothing but headaches for hundreds of thousands
- 1:22Speaker 2: of people in Long Island who need to get into
- 1:23Speaker 2: the city. Now some will have to drive. There's these
- 1:26Speaker 2: stories like this poor guy who his son is graduating
- 1:32Speaker 2: and he was going to take the train in to
- 1:34Speaker 2: be at the graduation. Couldn't do that. He doesn't drive,
- 1:36Speaker 2: so he had to take an uber for two hundred
- 1:39Speaker 2: dollars to get to the graduation. So if you're coming
- 1:42Speaker 2: from Long Island or going there, there's going to be
- 1:43Speaker 2: a lot more traffic than usual, and there's always a
- 1:47Speaker 2: lot of traffic in Long Island, it will be even
- 1:48Speaker 2: worse because the trains are shut down now. Hokeel does
- 1:55Speaker 2: what any good Democrat does when you've caused a major problem,
- 1:59Speaker 2: when you've sc root up everything, when it's total disaster,
- 2:02Speaker 2: what are you doing? Your a Democrat? You blame Donald Trump.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Whatever it is, it's Trump's fault.
- 2:07Speaker 3: This strike would not have been possible if the Trump
- 2:10Speaker 3: administration had not taken the highly unusual step last fall
- 2:14Speaker 3: of releasing labor unions for mediation. Unfortunately, for our commuters,
- 2:19Speaker 3: the direct consequence of this action is the strike we
- 2:22Speaker 3: have today.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Now, of course that's idiotic. It has nothing to do
- 2:25Speaker 2: with that. Mediation. You can't go to mediation means you
- 2:29Speaker 2: got to negotiate yourself. And she's totally incapable of negotiating.
- 2:33Speaker 2: She doesn't know what the hell she's doing. Jano Lieber
- 2:36Speaker 2: is just a disaster. So Trump responded to all of this,
- 2:41Speaker 2: this stupid accusation by saying, this is all your fault.
- 2:44Speaker 2: You should have had this settled before the strike even came.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Why did you wait till they're on strike. You should
- 2:50Speaker 2: have settled this long ago. And he said, if you
- 2:52Speaker 2: want me to come in and fix this for you,
- 2:54Speaker 2: I will. Of course, he's a master negotiator with unions.
- 2:58Speaker 2: He spent his whole life negotiating with unions right here
- 3:01Speaker 2: in New York. That's what he's been doing for forty years.
- 3:04Speaker 2: So he said, over and over, you want me to
- 3:07Speaker 2: come in and settle this for you, I'll settle it
- 3:09Speaker 2: for you. Just ask me. I'll come negotiate it.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Now.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Of course she can't do that because it would be
- 3:13Speaker 2: humiliating for her. So they're spending all kinds of money
- 3:17Speaker 2: setting up buses to bring people, and the buses that
- 3:19Speaker 2: don't really bring you to Manhattan. They bring you to
- 3:22Speaker 2: the closest subway stop in Queens, So if you're in
- 3:24Speaker 2: Long Island you could take these buses.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Starting at four am tomorrow, the MTA will deploy shuttle
- 3:30Speaker 3: buses to bring essential workers from across Long Island to
- 3:33Speaker 3: subway stations and Queens and those shuttle buses will be
- 3:36Speaker 3: standing by to bring those essential workers back home to
- 3:39Speaker 3: Long Island at the end of the day.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm going of course, this is just ridiculous. Now
- 3:44Speaker 2: the MTA. Now, one reason the MTA is being really
- 3:48Speaker 2: strong and tough in this negotiation is this is coming
- 3:53Speaker 2: up next in a little while, is the subway workers.
- 3:57Speaker 2: That's the big strike if they go on strikes. So
- 4:00Speaker 2: they're being very careful here both sides about what happens
- 4:03Speaker 2: here because this will set the template for everything else.
- 4:07Speaker 2: And that subway contract is the big one. That's a
- 4:09Speaker 2: lot of people, so they can there. Everybody's pushing to
- 4:12Speaker 2: get what they want here, to set the standard for
- 4:15Speaker 2: the subway contract. Now, a lot of people will pointed
- 4:20Speaker 2: out if you got this this strike and everybody's going
- 4:23Speaker 2: to drive in, suspend the congestion pricing, just halt the
- 4:28Speaker 2: congestion pricing for a while. Now Hockel makes the idiotic statement,
- 4:32Speaker 2: nobody can figure out if you can't just shut it off,
- 4:34Speaker 2: and you can't just turn it on and turn it off,
- 4:38Speaker 2: which makes no sense at all. It's a whole electronic system.
- 4:42Speaker 2: You can just hit stop and then when the strike's over,
- 4:44Speaker 2: you can hit start. Obviously, obviously you can turn it
- 4:47Speaker 2: on and turn it off. How do you think it
- 4:49Speaker 2: got on? They turned it on, but Hochel a total disaster.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I did not want to strike. The MTA did not
- 4:56Speaker 3: want to strike. The MTA has put fair offers on
- 4:59Speaker 3: the table, in fact, many of them.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's not working now, Bruce Blakeman, of course
- 5:07Speaker 2: something Hochel. Some theorized Hochele might have done this deliberately
- 5:11Speaker 2: to screw up Nassau County, Suffolk County, that's Blakeman territory.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Maybe to make all the voters mad. But I don't
- 5:18Speaker 2: get that at all. He's gonna make a mad at
- 5:20Speaker 2: Hochel and Blakeman, the voice of reason.
- 5:22Speaker 4: What we have here in New York State is a
- 5:25Speaker 4: complete failure of leadership. I want you to think about this.
- 5:30Speaker 4: This is the first strike of railroad workers. In thirty years,
- 5:34Speaker 4: both Republican and Democrat administrations had labor peace with our workers.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you get it done way ahead of time. Now,
- 5:42Speaker 2: the problem is Hochel is just a bird brain, doesn't
- 5:46Speaker 2: know what the hell she's doing. Janno Lieber is not stupid,
- 5:49Speaker 2: but he's just again a papa's ass, a very annoying guy.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Nobody can Nobody can deal with it. If Blakeman were there,
- 5:55Speaker 2: everything would have been different.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Kathy Hochel gave eight billion dollars of our time, pay
- 6:00Speaker 4: her money to legal migrants, but she doesn't have money
- 6:03Speaker 4: for our workers, the people who service the commuters of
- 6:06Speaker 4: the Long Island Railroad. So now we'll have three hundred
- 6:09Speaker 4: thousand plus people completely inconvenienced because of the incompetency of
- 6:15Speaker 4: Kathy Hokeel.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a good point. You know, she keeps on
- 6:18Speaker 2: the money. We don't have any money. Just gave billions
- 6:20Speaker 2: and billions and billions to illegals, not even citizens, just
- 6:24Speaker 2: illegals who broke in the country. Gave them a fortune.
- 6:27Speaker 2: So well, we'll get back to the strike now Texas, well,
- 6:32Speaker 2: we'll get to that later. But China, it was considered
- 6:37Speaker 2: by most experts I mean, real experts to be a
- 6:39Speaker 2: very successful trip on the part of Donald Trump. He
- 6:42Speaker 2: got along better with shijiping than anybody else ever has. Now,
- 6:47Speaker 2: if you watch the Sunday Shows, if you read the
- 6:49Speaker 2: New York Times, if you watch ms NOW, if you
- 6:51Speaker 2: watch CNN, it was a disaster. Trump caved in on everything.
- 6:55Speaker 2: He looked pathetic, he looked like a beggar. Yeah, none
- 6:58Speaker 2: of that's true. Every real expert says, they'll say that
- 7:01Speaker 2: they don't know if there were any specific actual returns
- 7:04Speaker 2: we'll get out of this. But it went very well. Now,
- 7:08Speaker 2: as far as you know, we're just over there hat
- 7:11Speaker 2: in hand, on our knees, begging. It's just the opposite.
- 7:14Speaker 2: The actual truth is. The actual truth is our economy
- 7:19Speaker 2: is seven times bigger than China's. Our economy is really strong.
- 7:24Speaker 2: That's why you see the stock market soaring. China's economy
- 7:27Speaker 2: is on a cliff. It's just teetering. Same thing happened
- 7:30Speaker 2: in Japan years ago. Remember Japan had a boom like
- 7:34Speaker 2: you've never seen. I mean, the economy was unbelievable. Remember
- 7:37Speaker 2: they came to this back in the eighties. It came
- 7:39Speaker 2: to New York and they had so much money. They
- 7:40Speaker 2: were buying up everything. Remember back then, the Japanese bought
- 7:43Speaker 2: Rockefeller Center, the Japanese bought this lamb. Everything in the
- 7:46Speaker 2: world was being bought by the Japanese. Well, it took
- 7:50Speaker 2: off so fast that economy that it then went over
- 7:52Speaker 2: the cliff and crashed. China is getting near that point now.
- 7:56Speaker 2: They're better at managing it because they're communists. They can
- 7:59Speaker 2: totally control the economy. But the last fifteen years have
- 8:02Speaker 2: been kind of rough for the Chinese economy and they've
- 8:05Speaker 2: needed to fix their economy. They need to adjust their
- 8:08Speaker 2: whole economic model. They cut back on the exporting. They're
- 8:12Speaker 2: going to have to go back to that. So it's
- 8:14Speaker 2: not a strong economy right now. We did no. It's
- 8:19Speaker 2: an interesting thing. You know, when you go over there,
- 8:23Speaker 2: you can't bring your phone, you can't bring your computer,
- 8:25Speaker 2: you can't bring your tablet, you can't bring any devices
- 8:29Speaker 2: because the Chinese will hack into them, spy on everything,
- 8:32Speaker 2: suck all the data out of your stuff. They will
- 8:34Speaker 2: then embed the most dangerous software in the world into
- 8:38Speaker 2: your phone. So everybody went on that trip, the president,
- 8:41Speaker 2: the cabinet, the staff, the reporters, everybody, all the guests,
- 8:45Speaker 2: on the plane. Everybody went on an Air Force one
- 8:47Speaker 2: had to leave all their devices at home and they
- 8:50Speaker 2: had to get burner phones and burner tablets and burner
- 8:54Speaker 2: computers to take over there, which they did. The trip
- 8:58Speaker 2: was over after a couple of days, they headed back
- 9:01Speaker 2: to Air Force One to get on the plane. Before
- 9:04Speaker 2: they get on the plane, there's big, big garbage cans there,
- 9:08Speaker 2: big garbage. They have to throw all the devices into
- 9:11Speaker 2: the garbage cans, leave them in China. Can't bring them
- 9:14Speaker 2: back because even those probably got embedded with all kinds
- 9:17Speaker 2: of dangerous software. In fact, take a look at my Instagram.
- 9:20Speaker 2: There's a picture of the president and everybody throwing their
- 9:24Speaker 2: phones into this big garbage can on the runway. Just
- 9:27Speaker 2: go to Mark Simone NYC at Instagram. It's a great
- 9:30Speaker 2: picture disposing of all these burner phones. So now, if
- 9:37Speaker 2: you watch the pictures, she did things during the summit,
- 9:42Speaker 2: like he had Trump in a low chair. He put
- 9:44Speaker 2: himself in a high chair so he looked taller, little
- 9:47Speaker 2: psychological things. But a lot of people took that as
- 9:50Speaker 2: indication of real insecurity on she's part, that he had
- 9:53Speaker 2: to resort to all that stupid stuff. Now there were
- 9:56Speaker 2: some things we agreed on. You know, South Korea has
- 10:00Speaker 2: the best shipbuilding yards of anybody. They're actually way ahead
- 10:04Speaker 2: of us in shipbuilding. So it was talk about us
- 10:07Speaker 2: starting to build some of our warships in those South
- 10:10Speaker 2: Korean shipyards. Now, one of the reasons there's so much better. Besides,
- 10:13Speaker 2: they're just ahead of us. Where they're located is right
- 10:17Speaker 2: in the middle of the supply chain, so everything you
- 10:19Speaker 2: need is right there. You don't have to wait for
- 10:21Speaker 2: long deliveries. It doesn't cost as much to get it delivered.
- 10:25Speaker 2: The infrastructure is much more automated. They can produce massive
- 10:28Speaker 2: cargo ships faster, more efficiently. So we agreed to start
- 10:32Speaker 2: building some of our big ships and our naval ships
- 10:35Speaker 2: over there in South Korea. Now, she offered to help
- 10:40Speaker 2: in Iran whatever we needed, he would help us with Iran.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Now Trump actually turned him down. You don't want to
- 10:47Speaker 2: owe she a favor. But Trump explained.
- 10:49Speaker 4: That any fun commitments to pressure on the Iritians to
- 10:55Speaker 4: reopen the Straightfow movies.
- 10:59Speaker 5: I'm not asking for this one. You ask for you
- 11:02Speaker 5: have to do favors in return. We don't need favors.
- 11:05Speaker 2: If you're ristic that he will put pressure.
- 11:07Speaker 6: Then he will try and get him to your.
- 11:09Speaker 5: LASKI to put pressure because I don't need favors. I
- 11:14Speaker 5: think he will. I think automatically. He'd like to see
- 11:16Speaker 5: it opened up.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Yeah, so always great to do the interview right by
- 11:19Speaker 2: the engine of the plane. I can't hear a thing now.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Certain things are going on with Iran. We've got things
- 11:25Speaker 2: we've been doing in them quietly. For instance, Scott Bessett,
- 11:28Speaker 2: Treasury Secretary, seized five hundred million of their crypto over
- 11:34Speaker 2: the last few days. We've taken five hundred million from
- 11:37Speaker 2: them in crypto. Now we're not taking it. It will
- 11:40Speaker 2: go into a fund, and when this is all over,
- 11:43Speaker 2: it will be returned directly to the Iranian people, not
- 11:46Speaker 2: this corrupt regime, but it will go to the good
- 11:50Speaker 2: people to take over. After it's all over, we will
- 11:53Speaker 2: shut down most of their money, the banks will freeze
- 11:56Speaker 2: all their funds everywhere. The other thing is we'll probably
- 11:59Speaker 2: go back to combat. Maybe this week you may see
- 12:05Speaker 2: a resumption of bombing. There may be more couple of
- 12:08Speaker 2: things we want to do. Target wise. They do have
- 12:11Speaker 2: railroads that can carry the oil to the coast, and
- 12:16Speaker 2: that oil can be then sent to China. It's not
- 12:19Speaker 2: as good as the big cargo tankers because if you
- 12:22Speaker 2: do it by rail, it's very, very tiny the quantity
- 12:25Speaker 2: you can move. So to move the oil by rail
- 12:29Speaker 2: means a lot less oil, a lot less revenue. But
- 12:32Speaker 2: we will probably bomb those railroads and those tracks and
- 12:35Speaker 2: take those out, make sure they're completely cut off. China
- 12:39Speaker 2: gets fifty percent of its oil from Iran, so we'll
- 12:43Speaker 2: shut down the little that remains of that. Also, there'll
- 12:46Speaker 2: be a lot of taken out of a lot of targets,
- 12:48Speaker 2: a lot of infrastructure, a lot of stuff, a lot
- 12:50Speaker 2: of bombing, and then I don't know about this is
- 12:53Speaker 2: on the table. If they get real serious, they will
- 12:56Speaker 2: go in and start to get the nuclear dust, start
- 12:59Speaker 2: to move it. That would require some ground troops, but
- 13:02Speaker 2: we've already done this before in Iran. In the last
- 13:05Speaker 2: two months, we've sent ground troops in twice. Those two
- 13:09Speaker 2: rescue operations where we had to rescue the crew members
- 13:13Speaker 2: of the aircraft twice, we've sent in ground troops. So
- 13:16Speaker 2: you may see that again they will come in. We
- 13:19Speaker 2: have all kinds of techniques and specialists who know how
- 13:22Speaker 2: to go in, find nuclear material and remove it. We
- 13:26Speaker 2: did that in Libya years ago. You remember when Kadafi
- 13:29Speaker 2: finally gave up and told us we could take all
- 13:31Speaker 2: the nuclear material. We had expert forces that went in
- 13:35Speaker 2: there real quick, found the stuff, got it out. Some
- 13:38Speaker 2: of it is deeply buried. Even those nuclear reactors we
- 13:43Speaker 2: took out last year in that raid, Now that's buried
- 13:47Speaker 2: under all that rubble. So I'll take a lot of engineering,
- 13:50Speaker 2: but they'll start by getting the easy stuff out first.
- 13:52Speaker 2: We'll be taking a lot of nuclear material. Hey, so
- 13:55Speaker 2: we got a lot to get to coming up. The
- 14:00Speaker 2: leader of climate change, you know, the ones that really
- 14:05Speaker 2: put out that the whole world, we're all going to die,
- 14:07Speaker 2: climate change is going to wipe out the plant. All
- 14:10Speaker 2: of that. They're now admitting it was the UN Climate
- 14:13Speaker 2: Committee really was the leadership of all this. They are
- 14:16Speaker 2: now admitting. They are now admitting that that scenario is wrong,
- 14:21Speaker 2: that it's simply not true. Nothing like that is going
- 14:24Speaker 2: to happen. We'll get into it in detail in the
- 14:27Speaker 2: in the next hour. We've got a lot to get to.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Michael Goodwin. In a few moments, we'll take some calls.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Next eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten
- 14:37Speaker 2: is the number eight hundred three to two one zero
- 14:41Speaker 2: seven ten in Mark on Demand by setting up presead
- 14:46Speaker 2: for his podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Now back to Mark Simone on wor.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Bill and Idaho. Bill,
- 15:02Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 15:03Speaker 7: I'm Mark. I used to be Bill from Pennsylvania, but
- 15:06Speaker 7: I moved out to Cordelane, Idaho, which is quiet, very white.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Well why and why'd you move? Why'd you move to Idaho?
- 15:19Speaker 8: Just for the.
- 15:20Speaker 7: Quiet, no taxes, you know? But it turned out I
- 15:25Speaker 7: have Irish skin and I passed for swarthy out here.
- 15:28Speaker 2: All right, that's good. Nobody knows what hell you're talking about?
- 15:32Speaker 2: These are well, you know, Foster Brooks Junior here, it's
- 15:35Speaker 2: a happy hour. What time? What time is it in Idaho?
- 15:39Speaker 7: Well the cheer they put the cheer into back into
- 15:43Speaker 7: cheerios about seven am.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's the same. It's a different time zone, right,
- 15:48Speaker 2: it's like nine thirty there.
- 15:51Speaker 7: Yeah, really it's yeah, look at the.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Map, all right, nothing Foster Brooks here. They must love
- 16:00Speaker 2: you in Idaho.
- 16:01Speaker 8: Right, well sort of.
- 16:04Speaker 7: I went to a Chinese restaurant last night, really, and
- 16:07Speaker 7: it's run by two Polish women. And a guy in
- 16:11Speaker 7: the back. It looks like Jeff Boyer d with a
- 16:13Speaker 7: Michael Wave and junking frozen dinners. That's what.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Well, that's good here. Well you made your point. Nobody
- 16:22Speaker 2: knows what hell it is, but you made your point.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Thanks for calling. Let's go to uh Rich in Myrtle
- 16:27Speaker 2: Beach Rich. How you doing.
- 16:29Speaker 6: Wow, that's unbelievable some of these people I had, I
- 16:34Speaker 6: had a comment for you that I have a question
- 16:36Speaker 6: for you about TV and stuff. You know, my father's
- 16:39Speaker 6: ninety nine years old. He did the Long Island Railroad
- 16:41Speaker 6: from Lockville Center for thirty seven years. My brother did it.
- 16:45Speaker 6: The MTA and y LI Double R have been ripping
- 16:48Speaker 6: off the public for decades and decades. I saw to
- 16:51Speaker 6: cover the post this morning. Some of these guys making
- 16:54Speaker 6: one hundreds of thousands of dollars in all the time.
- 16:56Speaker 6: You know, it's just unregulated, unchecked like everything else and go.
- 17:00Speaker 6: But my question is, when I'm bouncing around Fox News, Newsmax,
- 17:05Speaker 6: Fox Business, even some other channels, why does the scene
- 17:08Speaker 6: every station goes through commercial at the same time, So
- 17:11Speaker 6: you just bouncing between commercials, going between stations.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Well, because believe it or not, there's a whole strategy
- 17:16Speaker 2: to when you break for a commercial.
- 17:19Speaker 6: And they don't want me to look at another channel
- 17:20Speaker 6: or something.
- 17:21Speaker 2: No, it's like we all break it about they're supposed
- 17:24Speaker 2: to break it seventeen after. It's too complicated to explain.
- 17:27Speaker 2: But as far as the ratings, the way they measure them,
- 17:31Speaker 2: it's by the quarter hour, so you get credit for
- 17:35Speaker 2: like one o'clock to one fifteen, that's a quarter hour.
- 17:38Speaker 2: But if we can keep you two minutes into the
- 17:41Speaker 2: next quarter hour, you get credit for another quarter hour.
- 17:44Speaker 2: So you try to break remember.
- 17:46Speaker 6: That like everything else.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it's all complicated. There's a radio science. Remember that
- 17:51Speaker 2: news station goes, you give us twenty two minutes, We'll
- 17:53Speaker 2: give you the world.
- 17:55Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I remember when I was on WGBD
- 17:58Speaker 6: doing my Ficiens show, I made your atron a couple
- 18:00Speaker 6: of times, so you had to worry about Well, didn't
- 18:02Speaker 6: you ever wonder.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Why why twenty two minutes? Why not twenty when not thirty?
- 18:06Speaker 2: It was just the right period to get credit for
- 18:08Speaker 2: two quarter hours in the ratings. It's it's a boring
- 18:11Speaker 2: technical explanation, but uh, that's why they all break around
- 18:15Speaker 2: the same time.
- 18:16Speaker 6: Okay, you know this hole. Well, I can't believe this state.
- 18:20Speaker 6: This state is gone. These people continue to vote the
- 18:22Speaker 6: stupidest people into office, and it's exactly where you get.
- 18:25Speaker 6: I cannot be happier. We don't live in New York anymore.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Right, don't worry, it's coming to you. Where are you.
- 18:30Speaker 6: You're in North Carolina, it'll be South Colin.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Don't worry, it's coming to you. It's comedy. All these
- 18:34Speaker 2: New Yorkers are moving down there. They'll start to vote
- 18:36Speaker 2: these types in.
- 18:37Speaker 6: You'll it'll unbelievable because they have they vote crazy up
- 18:41Speaker 6: in New York. They get sick of it with the
- 18:43Speaker 6: high taxes and everything else, and they move somewhere else,
- 18:45Speaker 6: into the wed state and start voting for the same
- 18:47Speaker 6: super people all the time.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it'll come to you. It'll come to you, rich,
- 18:51Speaker 2: Thanks for calling. Yeah. The only good news is this
- 18:53Speaker 2: stuff goes in cycles. The cycle could be ten years, twenties.
- 18:56Speaker 2: But I think the cycle is starting to end. We're
- 18:58Speaker 2: seeing it in the latest polls in Great Britain. The
- 19:02Speaker 2: wacky left is going to get thrown out. We just
- 19:04Speaker 2: saw it in Spain where the socialists are going to
- 19:06Speaker 2: get voted out. Sweden is adjusting towards capitalism. You're seeing
- 19:11Speaker 2: it all over the place. Look at the La Mayor
- 19:12Speaker 2: All race. It looks like the Republican is going to win.
- 19:16Speaker 2: So we could be at the end of that cycle.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Let's go to Paul in Rosalind. Paul, how you doing.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Okay, Mark, you were talking to Jimmy Faila the other
- 19:25Speaker 1: day Awson's boyhood home. Would you like to know who
- 19:28Speaker 1: bought his last home on the water. My wife's boss,
- 19:32Speaker 1: who she worked with, Sidney Kimmel.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Which home where the one?
- 19:36Speaker 1: The one in Malibu, the ones he taught forty million dollars.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Well, I know Sidney Kimmel. He bought that house.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Yes, yes, Sidney was He was found at Joe's New York.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:46Speaker 1: It was a gigantic company from Philadelphia. He's a great right,
- 19:50Speaker 1: that's exactly right. He used to work for Villagers a
- 19:52Speaker 1: sales manager, and then he came to New York and
- 19:55Speaker 1: opened Joe's New York.
- 19:56Speaker 2: I didn't know he bought that house. So it's a
- 19:58Speaker 2: beautiful house in Malibu.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Yeah, Johnny, right, that's what that's the house he bought
- 20:02Speaker 1: for forty one million. And my wife, Harriet was his receptionist.
- 20:05Speaker 1: And secretary for many years.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I heard there was other stuff going on.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Too, and anyway, getting I'm kidding it.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Yeah, no, he's a good guy.
- 20:15Speaker 1: All right, thank you, it's incredible.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Thanks for calling.
- 20:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 20:18Speaker 2: That house, Johnny Carson's Malibu house is so big when
- 20:21Speaker 2: you walk in, the living room was like three stories
- 20:24Speaker 2: high and it goes for miles, the biggest living room
- 20:27Speaker 2: in fact, Bob Newhart came for a dinner one night
- 20:29Speaker 2: and he walked in and looked around this living and goes,
- 20:32Speaker 2: where's the gift shop. I mean, it just looks like
- 20:34Speaker 2: the the Hilton lobby somewhere. It's so big, and it
- 20:37Speaker 2: has an incredible tennis facility. Let's go to Neil in Brooklyn. Neil,
- 20:41Speaker 2: how you doing all right?
- 20:44Speaker 4: Uh?
- 20:44Speaker 9: Yeah, I got a real, a real concern here. What
- 20:48Speaker 9: about when they when they throw away.
- 20:51Speaker 6: Their cell phones to visit China?
- 20:53Speaker 9: What about the nuclear football.
- 20:57Speaker 2: That's a good question. Well, I assume there's nothing in
- 21:00Speaker 2: there that could be hacked into. It's unhackable.
- 21:04Speaker 6: By the way, it's not electronic.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Well that's a very good question. You ask a very
- 21:09Speaker 2: good no. Well, you know what I would imagine. I
- 21:11Speaker 2: would imagine, just like with the phone, they make up
- 21:14Speaker 2: a whole other nuclear football, a second one, just to
- 21:16Speaker 2: bring over there, and then when they get back they
- 21:18Speaker 2: get rid of it. That's a good point. Yeah, they
- 21:21Speaker 2: probably do that with the nuclear football.
- 21:22Speaker 1: You know.
- 21:23Speaker 2: The other thing is when you're on this trip to China,
- 21:25Speaker 2: they give you all kinds of gifts. They give the
- 21:27Speaker 2: president gifts, they give the cabinet members gifts. Everybody gives
- 21:30Speaker 2: them gifts. And when they get to the airport, before
- 21:34Speaker 2: they're allowed to go on Air Force one, they have
- 21:36Speaker 2: to throw away all the gifts because they're probably bugged.
- 21:39Speaker 2: They're probably loaded with all kinds of spyware in them.
- 21:42Speaker 2: So yeah, check out my instagram. There's a picture of
- 21:45Speaker 2: Trump and everybody before they're getting on the plane throwing
- 21:48Speaker 2: all their devices into these big garbage cans to get
- 21:51Speaker 2: rid of them. It's Mark Simone NYC Instagram. One more call,
- 21:56Speaker 2: Let's go to Mike and Nutley. Mike, how you doing.
- 22:00Speaker 9: It's a long time since I spoke to Mark. There's
- 22:03Speaker 9: a golden opportunity for the MTA work has become heroes
- 22:06Speaker 9: of New York. Instead of striking for a higher wage increase,
- 22:10Speaker 9: what they should be striking for is for taxes to
- 22:13Speaker 9: be cut by thirty or forty percent, because if they're
- 22:15Speaker 9: allowed to keep more of their own harder money, they're
- 22:18Speaker 9: going to need a wage increase.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good point. Yeah, you're right. The reason
- 22:21Speaker 2: they need their wage increase is Kathy Holchels taxes. She
- 22:24Speaker 2: taxed them to death.
- 22:25Speaker 6: You know.
- 22:25Speaker 2: The real argument though, is the MTA wasts probably two
- 22:30Speaker 2: thirds of their money. You know, when they spend a
- 22:33Speaker 2: billion dollars, it was really only for something that should
- 22:36Speaker 2: have been three hundred million. Actually, it's even worse than that.
- 22:39Speaker 2: You know, we we spend like two billion a track
- 22:43Speaker 2: mile to build subway. It should be like five hundred million.
- 22:45Speaker 2: We just waste money. We overpay for everything, every part everything,
- 22:50Speaker 2: we overpay for by like two thousand percent. So most
- 22:54Speaker 2: of the money they just waste, absolutely wist. If they
- 22:56Speaker 2: actually spend the money legitimately for real cost what it
- 22:59Speaker 2: really should be, they'd have plenty of money to pay everybody. Hey,
- 23:03Speaker 2: when we come back, the greatest columnist in the world,
- 23:06Speaker 2: Michael Goodwin. We'll talk to him next on seven to ten,
- 23:10Speaker 2: wor Mark the Moosa on seventoo. Well, let's talk to
- 23:20Speaker 2: the greatest columnist of all. Michael goodwin Is column is
- 23:23Speaker 2: in the New York Post every Sunday and every Wednesday,
- 23:26Speaker 2: and all his columns are up on the New York
- 23:28Speaker 2: Post website. Michael Goodwin, how you doing, Good morning? Mark?
- 23:32Speaker 8: Thank you.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Hey. You used to work at the New York Times
- 23:36Speaker 2: for a while, and you know that organization. They've always
- 23:39Speaker 2: been a pretty antisemitic going back, I mean even in
- 23:42Speaker 2: World War Two everything, But what the hell is going
- 23:45Speaker 2: on over there? They've gone over the top antisemitic.
- 23:50Speaker 8: The papers had a ready checkered history with a lot
- 23:53Speaker 8: of the major issues in our world. I mean, I've
- 23:57Speaker 8: waden Mark and you and I've discussed on believe the
- 24:01Speaker 8: fact that the the owning family were Confederate sympathizers during
- 24:07Speaker 8: the Civil War, and the fact that the mother of
- 24:12Speaker 8: the man who bought The New York Times in eight
- 24:16Speaker 8: ol Fox in eighteen ninety six, she was buried with
- 24:20Speaker 8: a Confederate flag on her cashkin, and she was a
- 24:25Speaker 8: founding member of the of several several Confederate monuments in
- 24:31Speaker 8: the South. But look, so they've had their checker his
- 24:35Speaker 8: three certain with although the family was Jewish, they've had
- 24:40Speaker 8: the problems, as you mentioned, in World War two in
- 24:45Speaker 8: not wanting to report on the camps UH, and then
- 24:49Speaker 8: of course the covering for Stalin in UH in the
- 24:54Speaker 8: whole famine. UH. Their correspond to actually on the pullets
- 25:00Speaker 8: of the Pulitzer Prize at time eventually decided to have
- 25:05Speaker 8: it removed, but the pullets aboard were not withdrewout the award.
- 25:10Speaker 8: So you're right, the paper has been all over the place.
- 25:14Speaker 8: But I think what has happened most recently is very troubling.
- 25:19Speaker 8: It is it has now equated Israel and America as
- 25:26Speaker 8: colonists essentially, and so you know, it's it's all about
- 25:31Speaker 8: race and ethnicity, and so the Palestinians are being held
- 25:37Speaker 8: up as though they are the black Americans of this country,
- 25:41Speaker 8: and white America is horrible, White Jewelry is horrible. So
- 25:47Speaker 8: this is a patterning of them going after the foundations
- 25:52Speaker 8: of civil Western civilization. And it doesn't make any sense
- 25:58Speaker 8: except the radicals are now selecting the topics and the targets,
- 26:04Speaker 8: and the Times editors are either complicit or sleep at
- 26:08Speaker 8: the switch.
- 26:09Speaker 2: So they went so far as Nicholas Christoph writing this
- 26:12Speaker 2: ridiculous allegation that Israel is training dogs to rape women
- 26:16Speaker 2: with the flimsiest of sources. Why would the editor, why
- 26:19Speaker 2: would the publisher allow them to print something like that?
- 26:23Speaker 8: Yeah, that's the thing, man, That was you know, as
- 26:25Speaker 8: you mentioned the source of my Sunday column. And it
- 26:30Speaker 8: just doesn't make any sense to why you would go
- 26:33Speaker 8: out there and the science says it's anatomically impossible for
- 26:39Speaker 8: dogs to penetrate human beings, and yet they put that
- 26:46Speaker 8: in the paper and say it's all been fact checked. Well,
- 26:49Speaker 8: how do you fact check something that isn't scientific, that
- 26:53Speaker 8: isn't real. And so, you know, the post as a
- 26:58Speaker 8: story today coming out of the website, Tuck talking about
- 27:03Speaker 8: how there's some upset in the newsroom over this, and
- 27:07Speaker 8: I heard some of myself which I reported that people
- 27:13Speaker 8: are saying this would not have passed Mustard as an
- 27:18Speaker 8: ordinary news story because somebody was said, well, what's your
- 27:24Speaker 8: source of dogs raping you and beans? And they would
- 27:29Speaker 8: have had to say, well, it's this person who is
- 27:32Speaker 8: a Hamas sympathizer or somebody who you know promoted Hamas. Okay,
- 27:37Speaker 8: well can we verify this anyither way? A good editor
- 27:41Speaker 8: would ask, well, no, I can't find the scientist who
- 27:46Speaker 8: says it's even possible. Okay, spike the story. That's it.
- 27:51Speaker 8: We don't trust you, the reporter. It's actually what the
- 27:54Speaker 8: garbage you're producing. Take go home. Got to go home
- 27:59Speaker 8: because you're not truthy. But the Time instead through its
- 28:04Speaker 8: full support behind Christoph, because Christoph the man who actually
- 28:09Speaker 8: wrote that. And I think that in so doing they've
- 28:13Speaker 8: implicated the whole paper. Instead of sort of saying, wait
- 28:18Speaker 8: a minute, we have second thoughts here, they've wrapped their
- 28:21Speaker 8: arms around Christoph and effectively put the paper on the
- 28:25Speaker 8: line for what is simply a scientifically impossible act, not
- 28:30Speaker 8: to mention all the other things in his column that
- 28:35Speaker 8: just take this propaganda from this NNGO, which is filled
- 28:41Speaker 8: with Hamas sympathizers and printed as fa You cannot do
- 28:47Speaker 8: that at any level of journalism. As I say, my
- 28:50Speaker 8: call it a rookie. Your reporter would say no, no, no,
- 28:54Speaker 8: I'm not going there. But Christoph doesn't have paper embraces him.
- 28:59Speaker 8: That's compounding the Arab.
- 29:01Speaker 2: So now Israel has announced they will file a massive
- 29:05Speaker 2: lawsuit against The New York Times. What will come of that?
- 29:09Speaker 8: No, it's hard to see how you win losses. And
- 29:14Speaker 8: the whole country has been the things. Nonetheless, if you've
- 29:19Speaker 8: been get into court and go through a discovery process
- 29:24Speaker 8: where you're allowed to get into the emails and message
- 29:27Speaker 8: chain and anything that has to do with doubts about
- 29:32Speaker 8: the column, and then you can begin to really say
- 29:37Speaker 8: that they just ran through the doubts, they saw the
- 29:40Speaker 8: red lights, and they kept going because they wanted they
- 29:45Speaker 8: wanted to be able to say that the Israelis are
- 29:49Speaker 8: the beasts, the Israelis are the problem, and that they
- 29:53Speaker 8: have tortured the Palestinian. Oh but we're talk about the
- 30:00Speaker 8: Israeli hostages who were murder raped, corpses that were raped,
- 30:05Speaker 8: I mean, all the heinous things that the Palestinians in
- 30:09Speaker 8: the Times doesn't ready subscribe to.
- 30:11Speaker 4: That.
- 30:12Speaker 8: It's only trying to put the shoe on the other foot,
- 30:16Speaker 8: that's what they're about.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, some of our top top lawyers are all
- 30:21Speaker 2: volunteering to help Israel with this lawsuit, so we'll see what.
- 30:25Speaker 8: Look, I think I think, I think this has already
- 30:28Speaker 8: blown up all the time, and it does hurt them
- 30:31Speaker 8: beyond the immediate case. It does reinforce this agenda that
- 30:37Speaker 8: they have and the perception that they are sort of
- 30:42Speaker 8: out of control and displaying the race card all the time,
- 30:47Speaker 8: and that they've lost touch with their own history, which is,
- 30:54Speaker 8: you know, all the news that sticked to print, right,
- 30:57Speaker 8: and all the rules that I contract acting somebody who're
- 31:01Speaker 8: writing about giving them time to respond that they're times
- 31:05Speaker 8: are tamous for those kind of standards, but they violate
- 31:09Speaker 8: them now every day.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, Michael, Goodwill, Gelly a minute left, mom Dannie
- 31:15Speaker 2: with his anti Semitism, with his anti Israel, allowing riots
- 31:20Speaker 2: in front of synagogues, and some people are surprised he's
- 31:23Speaker 2: let it go this far, But then there are other
- 31:24Speaker 2: people saying, why didn't you believe him when he told
- 31:27Speaker 2: you what he stands for when he was running.
- 31:29Speaker 8: Yeah, that's a good point. Nobody should be surprised, that's right, Mike.
- 31:35Speaker 8: He made it very clear where he stood. I can't
- 31:39Speaker 8: I can't honestly say at this point that anything he's
- 31:42Speaker 8: done as mayor has been a surprise. I think he
- 31:47Speaker 8: is who he is, and he was who he said
- 31:51Speaker 8: he was, and he is today. So there's no surprise here.
- 31:57Speaker 8: Is this still shocking that he was elected the first class?
- 32:02Speaker 2: Well, it's only three and a half more years.
- 32:04Speaker 8: We can make it right, Okay, yeah, it seems like
- 32:11Speaker 8: a lifetime shut.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Well. Michael Goodwin, great work is always and everybody read
- 32:16Speaker 2: his column every Sunday, every Wednesday in the New York Post.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Michael Goodwin, thanks for being with.
- 32:22Speaker 8: Us, Mike Blesser, Mark, thank you, take care.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Hey.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Coming up in noon, it's Buck Sexton and Clay Travis.
- 32:31Speaker 6: Oh.
- 32:31Speaker 2: At three o'clock, it's Sean Hannity, the most listened to
- 32:34Speaker 2: radio show in America. He's been on the trip with
- 32:38Speaker 2: the President. He was in shining with him the whole time.
- 32:41Speaker 2: It's a brutal flight. It's about seventeen hours. That's some
- 32:45Speaker 2: real jet leg. So Sean will be back today. He'll
- 32:48Speaker 2: probably have all sorts of inside stories and things to
- 32:51Speaker 2: tell you about the trip. That's three to six today,
- 32:54Speaker 2: and then you have Jesse Kelly at six o'clock. And
- 32:58Speaker 2: then you have the great Jimmy Faylis Show, very funny,
- 33:01Speaker 2: very good show every night nine to midnight. Here on
- 33:04Speaker 2: seven to ten, Woir the Mark Simone Show on SR. Well, Hey,
- 33:14Speaker 2: that was pretty interesting, Michael Goodwin. The New York Times
- 33:17Speaker 2: always always has been anti sinematic, anti Israel. It was
- 33:21Speaker 2: New York Times that covered up the Holocaust. You can
- 33:24Speaker 2: go on with a million examples, but this latest where
- 33:28Speaker 2: they're standing by Nicholas Christoff with his ridiculous stories about
- 33:33Speaker 2: israel Is raping their female prisoners, israel Is training dogs
- 33:37Speaker 2: to rape women. I mean, just insane stuff. New York
- 33:41Speaker 2: Post just put this up on the front page. Apparently
- 33:44Speaker 2: there is a civil war breaking out within the New
- 33:47Speaker 2: York Times. Half the staff can't take it anymore. They
- 33:53Speaker 2: just don't want to. Here's one, it's just I'm just
- 33:55Speaker 2: sick of being embarrassed by our Israel abuse claims. Civil
- 33:59Speaker 2: war breaking out the New York Times. Half the newsroom
- 34:01Speaker 2: wants this to stop. It's just destroying the reputation of
- 34:05Speaker 2: the paper, this crazy claims about Israel. And it's one
- 34:10Speaker 2: thing to be antisemitic, but at least have the decency
- 34:14Speaker 2: to keep quiet about it. The New York Times just
- 34:16Speaker 2: going over the top, and as far as they're anti Semitism,
- 34:19Speaker 2: just escalating and escalating. So apparently there's rebellion in the newsroom.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Half the staff wants this nightmare to stop. With the
- 34:26Speaker 2: New York Times, we'll see what happens. This usually results
- 34:30Speaker 2: in a town hall, you know, editor, have a town
- 34:32Speaker 2: hall nothing is ever more disastrous than the town hall.
- 34:37Speaker 2: So that won't work. Hey, we got a lot to
- 34:40Speaker 2: get to in the next hour. Wait, I just look
- 34:41Speaker 2: at the weather. So today, Wow, today it's going to
- 34:44Speaker 2: be in near ninety today a sunny day. Tomorrow ninety five,
- 34:51Speaker 2: Wednesday ninety three with the possible thunderstorm. Now that's Wednesday.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Then the temperature drops way down starting Thursday seventy and
- 35:03Speaker 2: then over the weekend. The high Friday sixty five, the
- 35:06Speaker 2: high Saturday only fifty nine. So it's ninety five one day,
- 35:11Speaker 2: it's sixty A couple of days later it looks like
- 35:13Speaker 2: some rain Sunday. Otherwise, not a bad Memorial Day weekend.
- 35:17Speaker 2: It's coming up. This is Memorial Day weekend coming up. Hey,
- 35:21Speaker 2: we'll take a break for the news. Now, climate change,
- 35:24Speaker 2: was it all a hoax? A good chunk of it was,
- 35:27Speaker 2: and they're admitting it. We'll get to that after the
- 35:29Speaker 2: news on seven to ten. Wo
