A multi-storey building under construction collapsed on Friday in Eastleigh, Nairobi, Kenya, leaving a massive pile of concrete and debris and raising fears for people who may have been inside or nearby.
The Kenya Red Cross said the collapse occurred at around 1:40 p.m. local time along 9th Street, with emergency teams dispatched to the scene. Reports differed on the building’s height, with some describing it as approximately 12 storeys and others suggesting it may have reached 18.
