- 0:07Speaker 1: Kathy Wood is dumping bitcoin for ethereum. Today, we'll break
- 0:11Speaker 1: it down for you, give you guys a full insight.
- 0:12Speaker 1: My name is Paul Barrel. Welcome back in a tech path.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Let's get started today. I do want to thank our sponsor, Coinbase.
- 0:17Speaker 1: If you guys want to get started in crypto, and
- 0:19Speaker 1: this is the place to do it Coinbase. All you
- 0:21Speaker 1: have to do is go over there sign up. It's
- 0:24Speaker 1: very simple. And the cool thing here is whether you're
- 0:27Speaker 1: a business or an individual, you guys can all start
- 0:29Speaker 1: and get up to two hundred bucks in crypto to
- 0:32Speaker 1: start your journey. So and really where the market is
- 0:34Speaker 1: right now, these are great entry points. So maybe this
- 0:37Speaker 1: is the time for you to sign up into coinbase
- 0:40Speaker 1: and get into crypto for the very first time.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Check it out. Use our link down below. It does
- 0:44Speaker 2: help the channel. All right. We'll go over to a
- 0:46Speaker 2: couple of topics.
- 0:47Speaker 1: ARC invest swaps nearly nine million of its own bitcoin ETF,
- 0:51Speaker 1: its own bitcoin ETF for Coinbase.
- 0:54Speaker 2: So all that being said, you.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Got to look at the outflows of where ETFs have
- 0:58Speaker 1: been going. And of course we have this stacked version
- 1:01Speaker 1: right here of both bitcoin and eth. As you can
- 1:03Speaker 1: see right there on the chart Eth holding the line
- 1:06Speaker 1: with institutional capital where what we are seeing in terms
- 1:10Speaker 1: of outflows for the last couple of days on bitcoin
- 1:13Speaker 1: very significant. Of course, the price of bitcoin has been
- 1:15Speaker 1: falling as we talk and record about this today, So
- 1:20Speaker 1: this is a factor that everybody's looking at. I want
- 1:22Speaker 1: to go to a clip real quick, because this is
- 1:24Speaker 1: getting into what's happening over at eth Denver, and this
- 1:28Speaker 1: is pretty cool.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 1:30Speaker 3: So again ten minutes. Actually, I think we're already breaking
- 1:34Speaker 3: the record by the time of this presentation. We've reduced
- 1:38Speaker 3: to time from ten minutes to Actually someone timed it
- 1:42Speaker 3: on Twitter to build an app in under three minutes.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Okay, first three minutes. I got to see it to
- 1:50Speaker 1: believe it. But right here, if you go over to
- 1:52Speaker 1: bas dot organ builders, you guys get a chance to
- 1:55Speaker 1: build an app, launch an AI agent, accept crypto payments.
- 1:58Speaker 1: The cool thing is is that this is drawing in
- 2:01Speaker 1: a heavy level of developers. And that's what Kathy would
- 2:04Speaker 1: says all the time, as do I follow the developers.
- 2:07Speaker 1: If you follow the developers, you're going to see the
- 2:09Speaker 1: amount of growth. And Kathy has been on a couple
- 2:12Speaker 1: of Bitcoin MAXI shows recently.
- 2:16Speaker 2: This one was one.
- 2:16Speaker 1: That they did with the whole slew of bitcoin maxis,
- 2:19Speaker 1: and I've got a clip from this show that explains
- 2:22Speaker 1: a little bit more of the questions she was asking.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Maybe what's getting into her thesis.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Take a look because we're proof of work. They're very
- 2:30Speaker 4: legitimate counterparty risks when all of your chips are coming
- 2:33Speaker 4: from one place, if a very ear of too many people,
- 2:35Speaker 4: god forbid, are using the same third party provider and
- 2:39Speaker 4: there's a security gap.
- 2:40Speaker 5: Given the philosophy of the bitcoin community and how important
- 2:46Speaker 5: decentralization is, I have been struck that we've been talking
- 2:51Speaker 5: about this for a while, but I was shocked at
- 2:54Speaker 5: how much came out of China, and I am still
- 2:58Speaker 5: shocked at how much comes out of it.
- 3:00Speaker 6: But it's like, why, you know the whole mining industry
- 3:05Speaker 6: is doing them no favors at all. It's an adversarial relationship.
- 3:08Speaker 6: Actually why and the manufacturers, I don't know, it's insane.
- 3:13Speaker 5: I think we have an important addendum here because we
- 3:18Speaker 5: will be wrong by just from an investment point of view,
- 3:22Speaker 5: saying this is a commoditized industry. It's you know, there
- 3:26Speaker 5: aren't going to be very many interesting investments in it.
- 3:29Speaker 6: You could you could build this and sell this, start
- 3:32Speaker 6: a business selling thees, or you could change it up.
- 3:35Speaker 6: And you know, if you have a different idea, you
- 3:37Speaker 6: want to use different chips, Like the next version of
- 3:39Speaker 6: this will have the Intel chips on it. So we
- 3:44Speaker 6: got a lot of cool stuff happening here, and it
- 3:46Speaker 6: still feels like the beginning.
- 3:48Speaker 5: I think we have a really creative white paper to write.
- 3:54Speaker 5: Lorenzo Bitcoin loves white papers.
- 3:56Speaker 3: So there you go.
- 3:57Speaker 6: It's going to happen fast.
- 3:59Speaker 5: All right. I can't wait to start talking about it
- 4:01Speaker 5: in the media and I will.
- 4:04Speaker 1: All right, So there you have it. I mean, ARC
- 4:06Speaker 1: is trying to reposition around this, but you could see
- 4:08Speaker 1: there's a little bit of the scenario and questions being
- 4:11Speaker 1: asked around you know, whether it's hardware centralization, all the
- 4:14Speaker 1: things that we have seen around this in the future.
- 4:18Speaker 1: With that being said, and many times these you know,
- 4:21Speaker 1: major investment groups kind of go with their actions. They're
- 4:25Speaker 1: also following a lot of what's happening on the regulation side.
- 4:28Speaker 1: So of course this is a timeline of the Trump effect.
- 4:31Speaker 1: You got David Sachs and Hester Peiris right there, who
- 4:33Speaker 1: is head of the crypto Task Force and the White House,
- 4:36Speaker 1: AI and cryptos are a lot has happened in a
- 4:39Speaker 1: very short period of time. And you'll notice something guys
- 4:42Speaker 1: here that most of this is in reference to digital
- 4:45Speaker 1: assets as a whole, and when you look at the
- 4:48Speaker 1: digital asset space, you're going to have to consider ethereum
- 4:52Speaker 1: because of its size and what it's been able to do.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Additionally to that, you look at some of the key
- 4:58Speaker 1: things that have been happening, not only from the legislative front,
- 5:01Speaker 1: but also just from the cases being dropped. Unicewap SEC
- 5:05Speaker 1: drops their case against unicewap, and of course we saw
- 5:08Speaker 1: a little bit of movement on the unswap thing. But
- 5:10Speaker 1: I think the bigger thing here is when you look
- 5:12Speaker 1: at ARC in general and where she's starting to place
- 5:16Speaker 1: her holdings, and even right here you can kind of
- 5:18Speaker 1: see a little bit of the movement that has been
- 5:20Speaker 1: taking place within ARC also moving into Robinhood, so again
- 5:25Speaker 1: another centraliaa exchange and the power of being and having
- 5:30Speaker 1: access to so many of these all coins and Ethereum
- 5:34Speaker 1: based ecosystems, so definitely a big one. Other things to
- 5:37Speaker 1: watch out is their Big Ideas twenty twenty five report.
- 5:41Speaker 2: If you haven't read it, go check it out. But
- 5:43Speaker 2: their table of.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Contents had a new entry and that was it right there.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Stable coins.
- 5:47Speaker 1: One of the area in the report you'll notice here
- 5:50Speaker 1: is applications seeking lower fees greater efficiency. Point being is
- 5:54Speaker 1: that everything's pointing to Solana and ethereum. If you look
- 5:57Speaker 1: at base coinbased wallet, all of this playing into the
- 6:01Speaker 1: future of where this is going. And this also leverages
- 6:04Speaker 1: into her whole position around DeFi, which is a big
- 6:07Speaker 1: part of this. And if you look at just in
- 6:09Speaker 1: general the amount of transactions and the cost to make
- 6:12Speaker 1: those transactions occur, eth is really doing a lot to
- 6:16Speaker 1: try to lower that cost. So even though we will
- 6:19Speaker 1: have lower cost transactions wise, the key here and this
- 6:23Speaker 1: is why layer twos are important.
- 6:24Speaker 2: If you go back to that chart, Layer two is
- 6:26Speaker 2: very important.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Arbitrum based polygon because of the fact of just pure transactions.
- 6:31Speaker 1: So even though we have a lot of developers lower
- 6:33Speaker 1: gas fees, we're soon to need those layer twos to
- 6:35Speaker 1: continue to see those transaction loads be able to go forward.
- 6:39Speaker 1: All right, that being said, you got to look at
- 6:41Speaker 1: what's happening over on Solana. Pump got funds, x account
- 6:45Speaker 1: got hacked, so more of that negativeness, and I think
- 6:49Speaker 1: when you look at Solana, what I don't understand yet
- 6:52Speaker 1: is why we haven't seen the Solona teams really start
- 6:54Speaker 1: to push out, you know, the greater good idea of crypto,
- 6:58Speaker 1: and I think Solona has always been behind that, but
- 7:01Speaker 1: of late it's been mostly a mean cooin factory for
- 7:04Speaker 1: the growth of what's been going on within Solona. You
- 7:07Speaker 1: look at Ethereum and you kind of consider, well, the
- 7:10Speaker 1: nearest competitor right now is Solona when it comes to developers.
- 7:13Speaker 1: But if you go in and add the stack in
- 7:15Speaker 1: here in terms of layer twos along with eth and
- 7:19Speaker 1: you can see there it's hands down the place. And
- 7:22Speaker 1: as we've talked before, Kathy what has said before, follow
- 7:25Speaker 1: the developers, Follow the developers. This is a clip coming
- 7:29Speaker 1: out of the Bank of America CEO talking about possibly
- 7:34Speaker 1: a stable coin incoming as well.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 7:37Speaker 7: It's pretty clear there's going to be a stable coin,
- 7:39Speaker 7: which is going to be a full of dollar back,
- 7:41Speaker 7: which is no different than a money market fund with
- 7:43Speaker 7: check access, is no different than a bank account really,
- 7:45Speaker 7: and so if they make that legal, we'll go into
- 7:48Speaker 7: that business. So you'll have a be a Bank of
- 7:50Speaker 7: America coin in a US dollar deposit and we'll be
- 7:54Speaker 7: able to move them back and forth because now it
- 7:57Speaker 7: hasn't been legal for us to do it. But it's
- 7:59Speaker 7: just like another foreign currency. The question of what it's
- 8:02Speaker 7: useful for is going to be interesting, all right.
- 8:04Speaker 1: So you're going to have to keep a real close
- 8:06Speaker 1: eye on this because, as I've said before, we're going
- 8:08Speaker 1: to see JP Morgan coin, boa coin, all these kind
- 8:11Speaker 1: of scenario is playing into it. We've already started to
- 8:13Speaker 1: see this play out within other organizations and even countries
- 8:18Speaker 1: I think will come online with stable coins. But you
- 8:20Speaker 1: look at what's happening right now. You got private credit
- 8:23Speaker 1: absolutely spiking right now on the global market. And this
- 8:27Speaker 1: of course we'll get into where the total RWA market
- 8:31Speaker 1: cap could be, and of course stable coins is going
- 8:33Speaker 1: to be a super big part of this. So with
- 8:36Speaker 1: the point that you see there with the b of A,
- 8:39Speaker 1: you've got to take a look at Ripple because this
- 8:41Speaker 1: roadmap is getting into private credit. We are scoring I
- 8:44Speaker 1: think we're going to see a lot more coming out
- 8:46Speaker 1: of Ripple, and even if in comparison, I mean you
- 8:49Speaker 1: think about this is number three token the roadmap in
- 8:52Speaker 1: comparison to what we've seen out of bitcoin.
- 8:54Speaker 2: This is the challenge, and I think.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Maybe Kathy Wood is starting to catch these new and
- 9:00Speaker 1: beginning to understand where that narrative needs to play. So
- 9:04Speaker 1: watching her twenty twenty five Big Ideas Report is pretty
- 9:07Speaker 1: big deal with that. Here is a clip from Eth
- 9:10Speaker 1: Denver and why DeFi is about to explode.
- 9:13Speaker 8: Take a look benchmarking against what we're seeing with traditional
- 9:17Speaker 8: payment processors. You know, we have Visa massacred and American
- 9:20Speaker 8: Express up here, and stable coins at large are driving
- 9:23Speaker 8: trillions of dollars in activity, even though we might not
- 9:25Speaker 8: see it and feel it in our day to day
- 9:28Speaker 8: There really is like steam picking up here. Another big number,
- 9:31Speaker 8: but I stand by this. So treasury bills alone is
- 9:34Speaker 8: a twenty eight trillion dollar asset class. Global bond market
- 9:37Speaker 8: is worth one hundred and thirty trillion dollars. These are
- 9:40Speaker 8: just two types of assets, and we're already talking like
- 9:43Speaker 8: hundreds of trillions of dollars, and we're already seeing some
- 9:46Speaker 8: of the world's leaders like Larry Fink, who manages eleven
- 9:48Speaker 8: trillion dollars of assets. He's like on CNBC saying, I
- 9:53Speaker 8: want the SEC to legalize the tokenizations of stocks and
- 9:56Speaker 8: bonds today. He knows if it was programmatic, they would
- 9:59Speaker 8: make way more more money, their margins would be way wider.
- 10:02Speaker 8: After treasury bills, We're going to see the next stage
- 10:03Speaker 8: where bonds and stocks are moved on chain, and this
- 10:07Speaker 8: is going to, like very importantly be able to serve
- 10:10Speaker 8: normal people.
- 10:12Speaker 2: All right.
- 10:13Speaker 1: With that agency, DeFi clearly is going to take over
- 10:16Speaker 1: I think all of capital in general and what we
- 10:19Speaker 1: know as the traditional finance system. You look at this
- 10:23Speaker 1: statement right here, and this is something I've alluded to
- 10:25Speaker 1: in the past, is that if you had Blackrock potentially
- 10:29Speaker 1: trying to fork Bitcoin, mainly to monopolize what they've done
- 10:34Speaker 1: according to the SEC, but more about innovation. You know,
- 10:37Speaker 1: they're trying to get something going. What we're seeing happening
- 10:40Speaker 1: over on the eth ecosystem, that could happen in this
- 10:44Speaker 1: kind of scenario. So if Blackrock were to get into
- 10:47Speaker 1: a position where they had enough centralized control, remember they
- 10:50Speaker 1: get to vote on all of that access because they're
- 10:53Speaker 1: holding those assets.
- 10:54Speaker 2: So that is a.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Very intriguing position, all right. So you've got to follow
- 10:58Speaker 1: the money a little bit. While everybody in the market
- 11:01Speaker 1: seems to be panicking right now, we've got World Liberty five.
- 11:04Speaker 1: This is Trump absolutely going out here and just buying
- 11:07Speaker 1: more bitcoin or buying more ethereum over and over. You
- 11:11Speaker 1: can kind of see more inserts. And when you look
- 11:14Speaker 1: at the holdings by chain right now, Ethereum is the
- 11:19Speaker 1: one that pretty much takes over and again. This is
- 11:22Speaker 1: a factor I think overall. If you look at Donald
- 11:25Speaker 1: Trump himself holding by chains right there, I mean this
- 11:28Speaker 1: is like a ten x compared to other chains out there,
- 11:31Speaker 1: so clear there's some writing on the wall. Definitely something
- 11:34Speaker 1: to keep an eye on as well. I've got another
- 11:36Speaker 1: clip for you, and this is Kathy Wood talking about
- 11:39Speaker 1: the underrated big ideas, which makes me lean in on
- 11:43Speaker 1: bitcoin for ethereum.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 11:46Speaker 5: In terms of big ideas, I think the most underappreciated
- 11:50Speaker 5: application of AI is healthcare. While robotaxis might be the
- 11:55Speaker 5: biggest application short term ten trillion dollars in the whole
- 11:59Speaker 5: ecosystem over the next five to ten years, we think
- 12:02Speaker 5: the most profound application is in healthcare.
- 12:06Speaker 7: Is there something comparable in the medical applications of AI, Well.
- 12:10Speaker 5: I think you have to look at the sequencing technology all.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Right, so there may be something there I won't say that.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I think Kathy is maybe going down the wrong direction
- 12:22Speaker 1: because you get to look at the where the money
- 12:24Speaker 1: is and where the transactions potentially could be in healthcare,
- 12:28Speaker 1: and there's really only a handful of places. One of them,
- 12:30Speaker 1: of course, is in the primary area of insurance. United Healthcare,
- 12:35Speaker 1: this is still a four hundred and fifty billion dollar
- 12:37Speaker 1: company even with this most recent SEC investigation. They're going
- 12:41Speaker 1: to continue to be that way. Now, could this sector
- 12:45Speaker 1: be disrupted by blockchain? We think so. And let me
- 12:49Speaker 1: go to this clip because this is going to explain
- 12:50Speaker 1: this and why this could happen.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 12:53Speaker 9: United Healthcare set up an AI that denied ninety percent
- 12:58Speaker 9: of the claims that came its way. Why is that, because, Hey,
- 13:01Speaker 9: the longer they hold on to your money, the longer
- 13:04Speaker 9: they're getting profits off of your money sitting in their
- 13:07Speaker 9: vaults and sitting in their coffers. What's currently happening When
- 13:11Speaker 9: you send a hundred bucks to the health insurance company,
- 13:14Speaker 9: usually only about fifty percent is actually going to paying
- 13:19Speaker 9: for your doctor and your pharmacy. Stuff They buy in
- 13:22Speaker 9: bulk and then sell you the individual price. They're incentivized
- 13:27Speaker 9: to have as much administration as possible, and then at
- 13:31Speaker 9: the very top of this awful stack is endless profit taking.
- 13:36Speaker 9: At the top, you really only need three pieces to
- 13:40Speaker 9: have an insurance company. You need to have a network,
- 13:43Speaker 9: you need to have claims administration, and you need to
- 13:46Speaker 9: have a ton of money. All that you're doing is
- 13:48Speaker 9: removing the incentive to deny and delay. You give a
- 13:52Speaker 9: doctor cash on the spot, and the doctor actually charges
- 13:56Speaker 9: you less because they don't have to go fight the
- 13:59Speaker 9: insurance comp company for their money. Like taking on big
- 14:03Speaker 9: insurance is going to be like fighting an ugly guerrilla
- 14:06Speaker 9: and they're gonna fight at all costs.
- 14:10Speaker 1: All right, So that could be a big fight coming
- 14:13Speaker 1: down the pipe as we start to see blockchain really
- 14:15Speaker 1: moving in on this of where we could see a
- 14:18Speaker 1: lot more transparency around this. So again technology disrupting. We've
- 14:22Speaker 1: seen this in every category. We're seeing it now in finance,
- 14:24Speaker 1: which I think a lot of people never thought we
- 14:27Speaker 1: would see major banks move into this, and here we
- 14:29Speaker 1: are today that we've got the Bank of America CEO
- 14:32Speaker 1: talking about stable coin. They're going to be holding this
- 14:35Speaker 1: just like if you look at what Fidelity a couple
- 14:36Speaker 1: of years ago in bringing in the assets of bitcoin
- 14:40Speaker 1: and ethereum. It's happening, guys, So we're going to see
- 14:42Speaker 1: more innovation. If you think about technology in the early stages,
- 14:47Speaker 1: you got to look back at Amazon's chart, all the
- 14:49Speaker 1: way back to two thousand and two. Everybody thought Amazon
- 14:53Speaker 1: was dead, and of course we know the difference right there,
- 14:56Speaker 1: but this is where it came from, right there, two
- 14:59Speaker 1: thousand dot bomb.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Everybody knows that.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Then of course Amazon relegated down to almost the bottom
- 15:04Speaker 1: of where it was and absolutely exploded in overall market.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Right now, this could be the kind of scenario that
- 15:12Speaker 1: we saw in the twenty twenty one high of crypto
- 15:15Speaker 1: and ethereum making its all time highs also nestling in
- 15:20Speaker 1: on this chart, and are we in for an absolute
- 15:23Speaker 1: innovation explosion. Remember, you get a lot of things playing
- 15:26Speaker 1: into this regulation. You've got a very pro crypto administration,
- 15:31Speaker 1: and you finally have solutions being rolled out into major
- 15:36Speaker 1: market sectors. This will happen in food, this will happen
- 15:39Speaker 1: in banking, and this will happen in healthcare. If it
- 15:41Speaker 1: does that, we are in an Amazon moment going forward.
- 15:46Speaker 1: You guys, keep watching on this because this is going
- 15:47Speaker 1: to be a big one. To keep close to all right,
- 15:50Speaker 1: if you're not in the Diamond Circle, get in right now.
