And tonight we got of course got some LSU Tigers making noise in the SEC. And my New Orleans Saints finally get that another get another victory. And the big showdown coming up this weekend in Parish, I believe it is, against the Steelers. We're gonna break that down a little bit. And also I got my segment I'm gonna put up put some respect on the name. And we got three players who deserve their flowers, so I'm gonna go ahead and give it to them like I do every week. And later on in the show, we got it, we got MA MMA fighter Cody White Panther Anderson will be joining me to talk about his upcoming fight coming up. I believe it's November 1st or somewhere in there. Cody will pretty much update us on that one. And we're gonna discuss a little bit of Jay-Z. He put himself as a as a performance in the Super Bowl. I want to hear everybody's opinion on that one. do y'all feel like it's a it's good for the Super Bowl or could y'all would y'all rather see somebody else? So, on that note, we're gonna go ahead and get ready to get started. But before we get started, I want to go ahead and get my sponsor out the way. Give me one second. If you're looking for a fresh cut, lock maintenance, braids, or a brand new style, make sure you stop by and check out Tanya's Locked and Faded. Scan the QR code or call. We'll see you soon. All right. Now that we got that out of the way. And also before we get started, like I said yesterday on my show, I want to make sure everybody get out there and vote. I know early vote is starting in I think pretty much everywhere and you got till I know out in Texas you got till I think it's October 30th. But man, make sure y'all get out there and vote because every verse every verse and every vote matters. You know, get tired of hearing people complaining about my vote doesn't matter, it doesn't this and all that. How you know if you don't never get out there and vote? So go ahead and vote and start making excuses on for everything, man. So on that note, let's get let's start talking let's start talking some football. So before we get into LSU, we gotta talk, excuse me, y'all. We gotta talk about college football because this weekend was a lot of update, upsets, and I sorry upsets in in ranking from Auburn knocking off the number one Georgia Bulldogs, BYU beating Notre Dame, Florida State beating Texas, which to me that's not no upset 'cause Texas man, they've been overrated the whole season to me. we all know why they got number one 'cause they beat a number one team. And also Tennessee handling Tennessee beating Alabama. Now what makes college football so exciting? Every week somebody you never know who's gonna win, who's gonna lose, you know how that goes, but I love seeing sometimes upsets when it's not my team. That's another I love seeing that. which team out of those teams I named which team do y'all y'all feel like was the biggest upset? Was it the Georgia the Georgia Bulldogs losing to Auburn, which I believe that's his L S U next opponents. We're gonna get to that a little bit. BYU Notre Dame or the Florida and Texas game. To me, of course, is always to me is that that number one Georgia Bulldogs S E. C. is always a good fight for everybody. Now let's speaking up SEC, let's talk about like I say earlier, the L SU game. They put off a victory over Minnes o over Mississippi thirty one to zero. A lot of people say that was one of those games where they didn't too much believe in L S U winning that game because L S U is so up and down with their quarterback play, I guess that's what everybody's number one Problem is, but LSU beat Michigan with no pro I mean, Mississippi with no problem. Mississippi Mississippi State with no problems. Samuel, I'm sorry, Sam had a a pretty decent game. Had a pretty good game, I would say. and also the the the running game finally showed up. That's another thing, another thing that helps out LSU. See, Sam, as you see right there, he had thirty he was thirty one for thirty-eight for two hundred ninety two hundred and eighty-nine yards, four touchdowns. The most important stat on that was zero interceptions. Cause you know, he he'll throw one here and there, but that was one of the most impressive stats for me to see, I would say. And Jones had a good game, eighteen carries. Eighty four yards, Caden. So again, the LSU running game finally stepped up, I would say. That's something that LSU really needed. And also the defense played pretty good too. Now that's that's not let's give credit to the defense too. Pulling Mississippi State to two hundred and ninety one yards total. so LSU pretty good, play pretty good. So this week again, like I say, they playing Auburn, the team that just upset the number one team, Georgia, should be a tough game coming up this Saturday. the key to L S U winning this, I would say Now LSU is like I say earlier, LSU is going against Auburn this week. And this ain't the same Auburn team that everybody was overlooking. Again, like I say earlier, they just knocked off Georgia twenty-seven to twenty-four. The quarterback Brown threw for 150 yards and ran for a hundred and fifteen yards rushing against Georgia. You know that's you know Georgia known for having a tough defense. so that so you know that mean L S U is gonna f go against a mobile quarterback, so they have to be on the game with that one. They really do need to stop that run, they seem like they have problems against mobile quarterbacks. So I guess my biggest question is this week, can L S U estabish a running game like they did last week? I think that running game is gonna help Sam out a whole lot, take some pressure off him. When he has a running game, he had to do too much As far as trying to make the right pass and all that, just play your game and hey man, we should come out with a victory. So I'm hoping that's how that one goes with that team. All right, so again, we're gonna see what Sam does this week and also LSU, as always from pulling for my Tigers. Hopefully we can go ahead and get this victory and keep going and get back into the dog on top ten and get out of this fifteen spot I believe we in. So let's hopeful let's hope that works out. All right, so that's gonna move on to the Saints right fast. Like I it's gonna be a little quick, gonna be moving fast, stick and go, stick and go. their Saints finally got them another win. But like we talked about yesterday on the show, I felt like the running game definitely helped the Saints out with helped the Saints out that Sunday just passed and also Suck played a pretty nice game. He didn't have to force anything, but that just goes to show you how how much the running game helps, like I just said about L S. U from Miller hasn't se Miller had Miller had 70 yards. Donaldson had thirty-nine and Kamara had thirty-four, for he got hurt, and Shuck added on thirty-nine yards. So again, long long as the Saints running game, that offensive line playing well, man, we we should be we should we should we should be good. yeah, I feel like we should be all right. But again, it all depends on that offensive line, how they hold up, and also the defense too. You you know, we gonna give offense credit, but defense need to s to step up. I I know they gave up two hundred and fifty something yards or thirty something yards to JJ in the fourth quarter, but I always say that was that was that come that hurry up and playing from behind yards to me. and I hate when teams get in that dog on zone and defensive coverage they was in and quarterbacks just always kill that to me. to me that's my opinion on that one. But we need to they need to just go ahead and punch Pittsburgh in the mouth from the beginning and keep that running game going. Because Pittsburgh is nothing really that I've seen that I'll be s a team that I'll be like, man, we I'm worried about them 'cause Aaron Rodgers do what he needs to do. That's r as Rogers. Metcalf, he's up and down. Shout out to that's Troy boy right there. Shout out to Troy for his boy Metcalf. So I think we have a good shot at beating him. As long as the offense can keep the same pace and don't play the comeback from behind, which we I think that was the first game last week where we actually didn't play from behind. That was what I think the first quarter. So that was that was that was good. So again, I I don't need Shuck throwing for three fifty every every game or just I'll I'll take it, but I don't need him just throwing the ball all that all that many times. I wanted to see how a balanced offensive team can we can be so dangerous in the in the future. But again, need that running game going to make that work. So but defense again, man, shout out to the defense. Five sacks, three interceptions, four takeaways total. Emerson, man, he he played big, two interceptions, and then he guarded neighbors pretty much the whole game. And neighbors earned every yard that he he got. I gotta say that. I know he had a hundred sudden yards, I believe, and a coup a couple a nice bit of catches, but he earned every bit of those yards. So my question, my question to to the people that's watching. Do y'all think the Sinx running game can is finally on track, let's say that. Can that carry on to next game, to the next game, to the next game? So that's that's something I wanna I wanna see if they can continue to do that in Yes, second thing'll be that's concerned me if we can carry on. Again, it's like I say earlier, the offensive line in the secondary needs to play. like I know they had those three picks and all, but still that was against old Jameson. I wanna see the the the secondary play play better than they've been playing. All right, so second now let's transfer over. Man, what do think about so far the year that Chase Young is having? Chase is playing good. Garner's playing good. You know, they the teams they're playing they probably playing they're bringing some heat. I gotta say that too. again for me, the key for the Saints to win this game is to protect Sha protect Tyler. Use those quick passes, get it out there, because you Watson are gonna bring some heat. Establish the run. If we can average a hundred, we can get 130 yards to 150 yards, I think that'll be a good game for us. And please use that down play action. As long as the running game is working and get get them receivers some some touches. gotta g again, we gotta pressure Aaron Rodgers. He there's not too many, I don't think, any kind of not too many defenses that's gonna confuse him. So we gotta we gotta put some pressure on Aaron Rodgers and don't let him be comfortable in that dog on pocket, man. Don't don't don't again tighten up that secondary force some turnovers and pretty much, man, stay in the game. Don't don't play that comeback from behind stuff. I know we didn't do it last game, but you know how everybody knows how season is, man. And get those And Aaron them off in three and three and outs. So that's what I think about those. That game. So let's move on. So again, man, I to thank everybody who's watching the show right now. And if you're watching it, go ahead and hit that subscribe button. Make sure you hit the like button and share. Because every time y'all, y'all, y'all hit that like button and share, man, it helps it it helps the show out. It helps the show out tremendously, man. this is my eighteenth show. So I'm pretty that's that's pretty much a good thing right there. Because the st statistics says that. Most people doesn't make most people don't make it to eight eight podcast shows. And I say I've been doing my last six, I think it is, five or six live. And I've been getting good review good reviews on it, man. So again, I appreciate everybody who has been showing love, man, who's who's who who's who's been on the show and who are my future guests, 'cause again we have a lot of shows coming up. So I wanna thank everybody for who has been, you know, showing love and helping me out with with the show. So again, make sure y'all hit that subscribe button. Go ahead and hit that like button. And make sure y'all share. All right, let's move on. Let's trans let's move on to since we're getting ready to leave out of the football NFL section. I'm gonna go ahead and and show love to put some res the segment I call put some respect on your name. And again, this is players that I felt like deserved their respect who did a who did a good job this week. We had a good game, of course, Emerson. seven tackles, two interceptions, four four four pass breaking up. And also you got it for Caleb, Caleb Williams on there, man. He he can't that's his first game back from from his hamstring to come out there and show it show off like that. That was a pretty good game for Caleb. And also CJ, man. I know CJ has been getting a lot of heat this season. People question if he's if he's I know he entered as number t he's in that top ten quarterback. You know how they do the ESPN do the top ten quarterbacks for the season. In a couple of games he did not look like a top ten quarterback. I wanna say these last two weeks, he has been pretty much doing his thing. So, man, shout out to shout out to C J, man, getting that getting that together at the right time. So again, that on my that's my three players I like to put some respect on their name. so Y'all boys keep doing your thing. And again, this is another segment that we added to the show. You'll see me doing this every, every week. I have a lot of audience questions, man. Give me y'all, give me y'all players who y'all would love to put some respect on their name, man. Leave that in the leave that in the in the comments so we can show we can give y'all show that player of love too. So drop that in the comment, put some respect on their name. All right, the NBA season that's that's let's move on to NBA. Let's talk a little bit about that since the NBA season is open. Let's talk about what happened w let's talk about Boston. question I had Boston lost to Detroit one twenty one to one thirteen. I believe Detroit came back from twenty two perts. I was watching a lot of people talk to talk on different sports shows today and they were saying that they think Tatum came back a little bit too early. because he didn't he just didn't look like Tatum in my opinion. He was flat on his shots a lot. the way he was he just I know he's coming off of A C L A C L Tier, ACL injury, but still that can take a year to some people to come for them to come back. But he just didn't look too comfortable, I wanna say. He was six for twenty three and zero for seven from the free throw, I three per line. And you know everybody who who's a a fan, you know that's not the type of game that Tatum normally puts up. a lot of times players take a take a while to get in their rhythm. So next I have for y'all would be the the this game, the Thunder. I know it's early in the season, first game of the season, but y I felt like it was a statement game. I like Thunder felt like even though the Knicks won it And they didn't get a chance to represent the West in the finals. I feel like they was like, nah, we bought a lay a statement and let s let let the Spurs know that we for real this season and people not gonna forget about who we are. Cause Shay, man, Shea is Shay doing Shea things. Man, he he he killed it as usual. And and then you have Victor, he he struggled. Victor missed his first twelve shots, if I'm not mistaken. So he he really struggled. So to me, I'm gonna guess I guess I wanna I guess I'm gonna ask the audience who's watching, you think it was more the defense they put on on Victor, or just he has had one of those nights where he just couldn't struggle. But to me, that was a big game. You can't you you can't have a O for go O for twelve and one for thirteen for a shooting the first game of the season. So I don't think I think that was a statement game for me to Thunder wanted to come out there and show like, hey, we steal them. And y'all gonna, as I always say, put some respect on our name. And this game here, the other one I have is Philly. Now, this is one that that I ain't gonna say shocked me, but I didn't think that the Seventy Sixers was gonna actually have that chemistry so f so fast. Even though I know, like I said, it's one game, and I know everybody be talking about the championship hangover that the Knicks might have had, but I think this I was just impressed with the way the seventy sixers came out with the win. another thing, I know we always talk about who's the Who's who's going to be the leader on the team? Are we talking LeBron because he's he's Brian? Because are we talking MB? Because we know that's MB team. He's been at the longest. Maxie, he's pretty much, to me, Maxie pretty much the man on the team. he's he he come a long way. And I think with three seconds, five seconds left on the clock, I'm with the ball in his hand. And I'm not gonna forget about Jalen Brown, man. Jalen Brown has always been the dog. He's doing this thing. But these are some pretty balanced numbers. I know they're gonna be higher in the future. But to say this game won, Maxie twenty eight perts, LeBron fourteen, Jalen nineteen, and MB thirteen. so that was that was pretty much impressive. Again, I know that I take nothing away from the Knicks. They also had a good game too from Bronson to Cal to Kat, to OG and everybody had a nice game. But I s that's why I'm wondering if if that was just more of the the championship hangover. So but another thing I noticed too also that LeBron played a lot of a lot of center, some center I'm saying a lot, but he played some center center yesterday too. So I think that might help out Embiid from what I'm looking at. Because Embiid's gonna be that question mark for them to get to the finals to if he can stay healthy. So I think but LeBron playing Playing some center, that helped him out. That helped in that I think that's gonna help him be from going against the the the big centers. Cause you know, they always they always say Brian can play one through five easily. So we're gonna see. But yeah, him picking up some of that weight, man, it looked like that that helped him out. That that that's helping him out. All right, I wanna welcome everybody. welcome Cody Cody White Panther Anderson to the show. Cody Anderson: What's up, y'all? My name is Cody Anderson, aka the White Panther. I'm a MMA fighter coming out of Fort Worth, Texas. JB: What's up, y'all? My name is Cody Anderson, aka the White Panther. I'm a MMA fighter coming out of Fort Worth, Texas. Right. So Cody, let's let's start with this. first I want to make sure I get the date right 'cause I I had November first. Was I wrong on that one? The date is. Okay. That is the twenty Cody Anderson: That the it's this Sunday. Hold up. That is the I think the twenty sixth. JB: twenty sixth. Yeah. All right, y'all, so at the date wrong. So this Sunday, man, make sure y'all Support it, we'll get the information where y'all can watch it or see it at at the end of the the end of the talk. So Cody, my first question is what made you want to get into MA MMA? So I I actually didn't fight since I was five. And my cousin, he was doing MMA and he was going all around the world, Abu Dhabi, Greece, Crane, like everywhere, winning Cody Anderson: So I I actually been fighting since I was five. And my cousin, he was doing MMA and he was going all around the world, Abu Dhabi, Greece, Ukraine, like everywhere, winning just winning world championships. And I was like, I'm trying to do that. So I really kind of followed into his followed his footsteps and then I just kept, you know, going up the ladder from there. JB: just winning world championships and I was like, I'm trying to do that. So I really kind of followed into his follow his footsteps and then I just kept, you know, going up the ladder from there. So what was your first like when you first went to that first practice, was you like, man, I can do this or I I don't think I may for I'm I don't wanna do this. Nah, I ain't gonna lie, I loved it. I fell in love with it. And it was weird 'cause my mentality I always was like, I'm gonna be the UFC champion someday, even though like my first day I was getting whooped by girls, I can't lie. I can't Cody Anderson: Nah, I ain't gonna lie, I loved it. I fell in love with it. And it was weird because my mentality always is like, I'm gonna be the UFC champion someday. Even though like my first day, I was getting whooped by girls, I can't lie. I can't lie. JB: lie. Man. So moving on to this like the upcoming fight you have, did you what what let's say are you doing anything different from your last your last couple of fights? like are you doing like eating I guess eating different? You have any new trainer new trainers or what are what techniques I don't give too much information on, but what what are you doing different that you have that you didn't do last your last couple of matches? Cody Anderson: Yeah, so I actually I'm with a different with different coach, different team. And it's just like I ain't I really didn't know what I was doing, I can't lie. I was just going in there swinging. For real. Like that's what I was kind of kind of doing. Like I was still good, you know. I was, you know, and I fought like real hard opponents. But like I my understanding of the game, because I'm I'm coming with the guy, his name's post D. JB: Yeah, so I actually I'm with a different with different coach, different team. And it's just like I I already didn't know what I was doing, I can't lie. I was just going in there swinging. For real. Like that's what I was kinda kinda doing. Like I was still good, you know, I was you know, and I fought like real hard opponents. But like I my understanding of the game, 'cause I'm I'm going the guy, his name's Coach D. Cody Anderson: Literally one of the best coaches in the world. Like Max Holloway wanted him to be his coach. Uriah Hall or Uriah Faber. He wanted him to be his coach. All these coaches around the world were like throwing him money to be the his their coach. And he's like, I'm trying to stay out here and pull words. That's where his family is. And right now he, you know, he's Kevin Holland's coach. He was Chance McKinney's coach. A lot of, you know, he probably the, you know, JB: Literally one of the best coaches in the world. Like Max Holloway wanted him to be his coach. Uriah Hall or Uriah Paber. He wanted him to be his coach. All these coaches around the world were like throwing him money to be the his their coach. And he's like, I'm trying to stay out here in Fort Worth. And right now he, you know, he's Kevin Holland's coach. He was Chance McKinney's coach. A lot of you know, he probably, you know Cody Anderson: He's one of the best coaches So like he just his understanding of the game is just now I understand so much. Like there's so much I know now that like what I said in the beginning, like I feel like I'm just going there swinging. Even though I knew what I was doing. I've been fighting for years. But like now I know the understanding like of the game. And I've been training. The training partners are like way, way better than JB: He's one of the best coaches ever. So like he just his understanding of the game is just now I understand so much. Like there's so much I know now that like what I said in the beginning, like I feel like I'm just going there swinging. Even though I knew what I was doing. I've been fighting for years. But like s now I know the understanding like of the game. And I've been training the training partners are like way, way better than Cody Anderson: Kevin Holland, I've been going out to Houston with four ounce in Main Street. Those are some of the two biggest gyms in the world. Like four ounce, you they got Joshua Van, the UFC champ, and a bun, you know, Aldine Corey, Harris Chapman, Michael Aswell, Dakota Hope, a bunch of UFC fighters. So, you know, going out there and then going out to Main Street with Bob Perez. JB: I've been going out to Houston with four ounce in Main Street. Those are some of the two biggest gyms in the world. Like four ounce, you they got Joshua Van, the UFC champ, and a butt you know, Aldean Core, Chapman, Michael Aswell, Dakota Hope, a bunch of UFC fighters. So, you know, going out there and then going out to Main Street with Bob Perez. Cody Anderson: You know, Derek Lewis is over there. So there's a bunch of big names. And I just been going with all those guys. And, you know, I see myself, you know, I'm actually doing something, you know. So I'm like, I fight people, like, I'm probably just gonna walk through them now, you know what I'm saying? JB: No, Derek Lewis is over So there's a bunch of big names and I just think going with all those guys. And, you know, I see myself, you know, I might see doing something, you know. So I like I fight people, like I'm probably just gonna walk through now, you know what I'm saying? I was about to say, so now with this new training and ho it's sound a it's you know whole meta situation, like I know you had confidence. I know you as a football player, but I bet you now Cody Anderson: Mm-hmm. JB: your confidence walking in that place is like Like kinda like kind of was is me. I'm the that's Cody Anderson: Yeah. JB: I can I can hear any voice, man. It sounds like you know a better place from I think last time I talked to you about everything, man. So I'm I'm I'm I'm glad man. I I can't wait to s I wish I was John thing out of game, so I would support it Cody Anderson: Yeah. JB: and so tell me about the fighter you about to fight, any any any anything you know about I don't know if you know and study him. What what you tell me about him that you need to watch out for? nothing I gotta watch out for. All right. But he he liked a grappler. He's more of a wrestler, traditional guy. Just he's crazy. Like he just throws. Just throws wild. Like, you know, if I'm over here just playing around, I can get caught by something, but like since now I'm working with post me. Cody Anderson: So nothing I gotta watch out for. But he he like a grappler. He's more of a wrestler, jiu-jitsu guy. And just he's crazy. Like he just throws. He just throws wild. Like, you know, if I'm over here just playing around, I can get caught by something. But like since now I'm working with Coach D and he's so good at staying technical, you see all of his guys. They're not going around throwing over him. They knock those guys out. JB: And he's so good at staying technical. You see all his guys, they're not going around throwing overhands. They knock those guys Cody Anderson: 'Cause the in boom, you know, it's staying technical. So like I really this guy, I feel like I'm just kicked him apart because how technical I am and how you know, how much I've been training for technical. So yeah. JB: out 'cause they in boom, you know, it's staying technical. So like I really this guy I probably just kicked him apart 'cause how technical I am and how you know how much I've been training for technical. Right. So yeah. So before you walk into that stage How do you get yourself set mentally? Do you listen to certain music? what do you do mentally to get prepared for that fight? So the weird thing is I have this all on so like back in football, I would listen to like baby key like the most trash out li music I listen to. And then I'd try to bring that in the MMA. But an MMA you can't just go out there and just man Cody Anderson: So the weird thing is, I have this all wrong. So like back in football, I would listen to like baby key, like the most trash out lit music I listen to. And then I try to bring it in the MMA. But an MMA, you can't just go out there just mad because I I was going through a lot of stuff and which caused me to lose, you know, because I was just mentally not there and I was just mad going, swinging in an MMA, like you think, JB: 'Cause I I was going through a lot of stuff and which caused me to lose, you know, 'cause I was just mentally not there and I was just mad storing, swinging in an MMA. Like you think, you gotta be mad and a bad, you know, like a bad guy, you know? But I but now that I'm understanding this, it's the most calm and technical people. 'Cause look at John Jones. John Jones isn't out there just swinging, you know, Cody Anderson: You gotta be mad and a bad, you know, like a bad guy, you know. But but now that I'm understanding this, it's the most calm and tentacle people. Cause look at John Jones. John Jones isn't out there just swinging. You know, like JB: like Cody Anderson: most of most of the best spiders are the most tentacle, you know. Cause if you go out there just swinging, you know, like you're gonna get caught, like I have. So like now I'm actually like I listen to like Christian. JB: Most of those most of the best spiders are the most technical, you know. 'Cause if you go out there just swinging, you know, like you're gonna get caught like I have. So like now I'm actually like I listen to like Christian Cody Anderson: Music like try like relaxing music, like like some gospel soul music, you know what I'm saying? Yeah. JB: music, like tr like relaxing music, like like some gospel soul music, you know what I'm saying? Right. That's funny 'cause when when I work out when I work out and go to the gym, I know everybody be having a hip hop or anything on. Man, I'll be listening to Cody Anderson: Yeah. JB: some R and B or like you said, some soul soul blues. I be Cody Anderson: Yeah. JB: I be getting hype like that. It it's funny 'cause you can hear everybody, you can see everybody doing their things, but man, that's that's good. Yeah, they're like, I feel pumped Cody Anderson: Yeah, and they're like, I still pumped up. JB: up. Mm-hmm. So what's the what's the biggest sacrifice you've made to keep pursuing your fighting career? Cody Anderson: biggest sacrifice literally everything I can't lie. Cause like a lot of my f I don't I don't talk to none my friends, none of my family really. Like I love them, you know, but it's just like I don't got time. And I put all my time into this in the sport. You know, and like I had a lot, I had a couple like big colleges offer me for football. JB: biggest sacrifice literally everything I can't lie. Cause like a lot of my fr I don't I don't I'll tell not my friends, not my family really. Like I love you know, but it's just like I don't got time and I put all my time into this and the sport. You know, like I had a lot I had a couple like big colleges offer me for football. Cody Anderson: You know, I love football. JB: You know, I love football Cody Anderson: And I had some opportunities to play with some of my own teammates from high school. And you know, I was like wanted to do that, but I was just feel like God, this is what God wanted me to do. I really like I just see all my friends, you know, having fun. And I'm like, man, I'm trying to do that, but like, and I feel like just like a bad guy for not really talking to them that much. And it's just cause like I'm just so like JB: and I had some opportunities to play with some of my own teammates from high school. And, you know, I was like wanted to do that, but I was just felt like God, this is what God wanted me to do. I really like I just see all my friends, you know, having fun. Right and I'm like, man, I'm trying to do that but like and I feel like just like a bad guy for not really talking to them that much. And it's just 'cause like I'm just so like Cody Anderson: locked in and like I get up, train. JB: locked in and like I get up, train, Cody Anderson: Go to work, train, go to sleep. Every day. So JB: go to work, train, go to sleep. Right. Every day. Amen. So like I said sacrifice, but you know at the end it's gonna be well worth it where you can sit back and be Cody Anderson: Yes, sir. JB: like be like, man, I'd I I'd sacrifice, but I deserve to be where I'm at. It took a lot to get it 'cause you know, every every athlete, every great athlete had to sacrifice sac sacrifice something Cody Anderson: Yeah. JB: for from LeBron to Jordan to Jerry Rice to any great art any great act. I'm gonna say at lead off, just person fear, you have to sacrifice something to get there. Even true bus business people, you know, they literally they Cody Anderson: Literally. Yeah. JB: I'm pretty sure a lot of them failed a c failed a lot of times before they got up there to where they at. So yeah, man, that's yeah, I don't understand you saying you feel feel bad that you're not able to sometimes hang out Cody Anderson: Well. JB: or sit talk to your friends, but man, hey, if that's your friends, I'm gonna tell you they should understand, look, I I gotta go, I'll holler at y'all when my fight is over. So man, keep you know, I say keep going. Cody Anderson: Yeah. Yeah. I'm just so glad and blessed they understand. You know what I'm saying? JB: I I'm just so glad and blessed they understand. Right. You know what I'm saying? You got some some friends that be like, he he thank you too much for us. He got his his stuff going on, so that's the ones you don't wanna you know you don't wanna see. But that's also that happened a lot, like there's a lot of friends that lost over this, you know. But it also picked apart the people that are like real. Exactly. The people that are like, Man, I understand. I want you to c like do what you wanna do, you know. Cody Anderson: Yeah. But that's also that happened a lot. Like there's a lot of friends that lost over this, you know. But it also picked apart the people that are like real. The people that are like, man, I understand. I want you to like do what you wanna do, you know. I want you to trace your dreams. So like show me. JB: I want you to trace your dreams, so Right. Like show me. Exactly. I know you gotta just gotta practice. I got two more questions for you. what's your favorite fighter of all time? My favorite fighter of all time. This is it's gonna be funny 'cause like it's g it's Kevin Haaland. Cody Anderson: My favorite fighter of all time. This is it's gonna be funny, cause like it's Kevin Holland. Even though I train with him every day, like I always like, when I first started getting into UFC, because my cousin, he always talked about him because he's like, I trained with this guy. I'm like, this guy's from Fort Worth. This is this is awesome. So I looked, I watched his, started watching his fights, saw him on a contender series, and like, JB: Even though I train with him every day, like I always like when I first started getting into UFC, 'cause my cousin, he always talked about him 'cause he's like, I train with this guy. I'm like, this guy's from Fort Worth. This is this is awesome. So I looked I watched his started watching his fights, saw him on a contender series and like he literally is just having fun. He's like talking, you know, talking about Cody Anderson: He literally is just having fun. He's like talking, know, talking about Nate Diaz, smacking the guy, then doing a Philly show, talking about somebody like Floyd Mayweather. He's just like a funny guy. And I'm like, I always was like, because I I'm I'm pretty goofy myself. So like I was like, man, I like this guy. And he always like he don't he don't back now for no fights. Like he gets called, like, hey, fight this guy. He's like, all right, bet. JB: Nate Diaz smacking the guy and doing a Philly show talking about somebody like Floyd Mayweather. He's just like a a funny guy. And I'm like, I always was like 'cause I I'm I'm pretty goofy myself. So like I was like, man, I like this guy. And he always like he don't he don't back out for no fights. Like he gets called, like, hey, fight this guy. He's like, All right, bet. So I'm like, man, he now he now I travel to him and I see him on a daily basis and it's like real cool. Cody Anderson: So I'm like, man, he now he now I train with him and I see him on a daily basis and it's like real cool. Now he's like a big brother to me, but he's still like, you know, my favorite UFC fighter. JB: Now he's like a big brother to me, but he's still like, you know, my favorite UFC spotted for people. what's your long term long long term goals and I guess to to back that one up is where where you see how long this fight lasts and where it's gonna go. Okay, yeah. So I really believe that I'm gonna be in the UFC for sure. And you know, that's that's the goal, but Cody Anderson: Okay, yeah. So I really believe that I'm gonna be in the UFC for sure. And you know, that's that's the goal, but like JB: like Cody Anderson: I've had visions like cause I I've been praying and like I really like believe that I can make it. I can make it and I really think this is what I'm gonna do till I retire and then you know, make my own gym. That's my goal. Go out to Puerto Rico. JB: I've had visions like 'cause I I've been praying and like I really like believe that I can make it. I can make it and I really think this is what I'm gonna do so I retire. Right. And then, you know, make my own gym. That's my goal. Go out to Puerto Rico. Cody Anderson: I'll live on a beach and make my the first MMA gym in Puerto Rico. JB: Now live on the beach and make my the first MMA gym in Puerto Rico. Cody Anderson: And the second one is I don't really have a prediction, but I I really think I'm gonna get him out of there in the first round. Like, cause he makes like all of his strikes and his grappling itself is just like so aggressive. And he's like, you know, he wants to kill he wants to kill you, you know? And that's how I was. And now that I know the technique, not technique, but like JB: And the second one is I only have a prediction, but I look You will come out of it. I really think I'm gonna get him out of there in the first round. Like, 'cause he makes like all his strikes and his grappling itself is just like so aggressive and he's like you know, he wants to kill he wants to kill you, you know? Right. And that's how I was. And now that I know the technique not technique, but like Cody Anderson: I'm so technical and patient. And so I'll be able to see. So when you're technical and stuff like that, you can see everything. So all them, you know, loopy overhands, I'll be able to see that. Foul. Counter them. Counter them. I can take them down. He tries to take me down to the far of being all crazy. Boom, me. Uppercut. So like I don't really have a prediction, but I really like. JB: I'm so technical and patient. And so I I'll be able to see. So when you're technical and stuff like that, you can see everything. So all them, you know, would be over hands, I'll be able see that. Found. Down. Counter. I can take down. He tried to take me down to the far of being all crazy. Boom, need overcut. Right. So like I don't really have a prediction, but I really like Cody Anderson: It'll probably be the first round 'cause I he's probably gonna come out there trying to take my head off like he has his last fight. So he comes out, Well, I'm you know, I'ma work on his mistakes. You know, I'ma pick I'ma pick it my shots, pick pick everything, see everything, ow. JB: It'll probably be the first round 'cause I he's probably gonna come out there trying to take my head off like he has his last fight. So he comes out, yeah, you know, I'm gonna work on his mistakes. You know, I'm gonna pick I'm gonna pick my shots, pick pick everything, see everything Alright, so Cody, tell everybody how they can they can follow you through your social media and also where they can get in contact with getting tickets or they can watch the fight online no so it's gonna be my Instagram is the only white panther the only the underscore white underscore panther you gotta do that whole thing because I'm on shadow Cody Anderson: So it's gonna be my Instagram is the only white panther. The only then underscore white underscore panther. You gotta do that whole thing because I'm on Shadow Band. JB: band Cody Anderson: Cause you know, Instagram they just wanna ban you for every little reason. JB: 'Cause you know, Instagram they just wanna ban you for every little reason. Again, man, Cody man, I appreciate you Taking your time after your proc your practice workouts, man. take your time to come on the show and hang with me. Again, as you see I'm doing solo Cody Anderson: Yes, sorry. JB: I'm doing solo today. All my guys canceled on me. So man. Cody Anderson: man. JB: But man, much respect to you, man. Like I said, I've been knowing you since you was playing for Saginaw since you Cody Anderson: Yeah. JB: was a I wanna say a freshman of Southmore when me and Coach Peters Coach Peters g came to me one time at y'all seven seven. He said, That little kid there, he said he has the heart. He said, Trust me, Mr. Lawson, he's gonna be one of those players you'd be like, where the hell that comes from in I remember you was just bouncing around, bouncing around with all the energy. Cody Anderson: Yeah. JB: Yeah. And man, your your goddamn junior and senior year was beautiful. So man Yes, sir. Thank you so much. That's why I know. The funny thing is, but what you said about Cush Peters is when Couch Peters came at my end of my freshman year, like to just meet the players. He was he was out he was at all the practices at the end of the year and he told me, he said, Hey bro, he said your senior year, you're gonna be all district and you're gonna be a dog. Cody Anderson: Yes, sir. Thank you so much. And the funny thing is about what you said about Clutch Peters is when Coach Peters came at my end of my freshman year, like to just meet the players, he was he was at all the practices at the end of the year. And he told me, he said, hey, bro, he said, your senior year, you're gonna be all district and you're gonna be a dog. And I was like, bro, I'm like 90 pounds. And like I didn't believe him. And the next thing you know, he was right. JB: And I was like, I'm like ninety pounds. And like I didn't believe him, and they see no, he was right. Man, he that's he was, 'cause I'm I sit back all the time, 'cause me and Jason talk about it. We were like, Ghost Peters called it. But when he said it, I'm like Yeah. And also I saw you putting a couple of other seven sevens, but man, me when I talked when I talked to Peters that day, I was like, Yeah, he he has it. Then I saw it in person. yeah, he he doing his thing. So again, man, much respect to you, man. Keep doing your thing, keep grinding. Man, stay healthy, stay focused. And you know, like you said, man, go ahead and get that title and open up that gym in Puerto Rico, man. Do your thing, man. So good luck this Saturday. Yes, Cody Anderson: Yes, sir. JB: sir. Anytime you want to come on and promote something, man. Hey, man, my platform, we can get it out there and do what you need to do. Man, I appreciate it again, man. Thanks for stopping by. Yes, sir, man. I really appreciate you. Thank you so much. Love coming out here again to talk to Cody Anderson: Yes, sir, man. I really appreciate you. Thank you so much. Love coming on here, getting to talk to you, man. JB: you, man. thank you, man. I know we've been trying to do it, but We're gonna talk again 'cause I want to get more detail I want to go a little deeper and go a little bit more about you and everything. So we're gonna we're gonna talk again after this. Thank you so much, man. You have a good night, man. You too, thank you. Yes, sir, thank you. Cody Anderson: Yes sir. Ben, thank you so much, man. You have a good night, man. Yes, sir. Thank you. Bye. JB: And again, man, that was Cody White Panther Anderson. He has a fight this Saturda this this Saturday, I think he said. Sunday. I messed up just now. But man, make sure y'all support it. Again, once you see my information, I'm gonna go ahead and put in the links so everybody can check it out. But man, yeah, he's a he's a good kid, man. so I'm looking forward to s to seeing that fight and seeing what he's seeing the future. He the future's gonna be bright for that kid, man. like you said, he has a new new trainers. As you see the energy, man, he's he's he's really feeling good. So again, man Shout out to Cody, man. Cody White Panther Anderson, man. Do your thing, man. so we're gonna go ahead and move on. We so now we're gonna go from throwing punches in the cage to throwing punches in the hip hop conversation. Hey, we're gonna talk a little bit about the rap game right now. do do y'all feel like females are running the the in the industry right now? 'Cause it seemed like every time you listen to the radio, which I hate listen to radio 'cause they play the same songs over and over Either you gonna get Drake, Kendrick, or Cardi. But you hear more, to me, you hear more hip hop females on a on a on a radio station than in than males. do you think it's because female makes more club music and you can dance and and everything to it? Or is it just that The men just falling out like that. 'Cause they don't play a lot of the good male rap and I like to hear, that a lot of people like to hear. It's not just I love me some Drake, but I wanna hear more than Drake and Kendrick on the radio, man. so y'all think it's more pretty much more that the ladies are making more stuff that y'all can dance to. I don't care too much about some of the ra some of the female rap female rappers is that pretty much a lot of the stuff is sexual and everything, which I know men been doing it for the years. here come Cardi. We could be she we know she gonna talk. We know what sexy ray gonna talk about. We Lotto, which I love Lotto. Shot out gonna talk about. some some real goat female rap rappers. Let's see, I got a list of those too. I like I like Nikki. I know Nikki might hear it hear a shot here and there sexual, but man, I like Nikki. That's another one of my favorite rappers. Like this list we have up here. Eve was a good lyricist. A good I good on rap, good rapper. MC Life was one of my favorite lyricists of all time. So it's just like this these this this first tier up here from old school, man, them was some real female rappers. Even some of them peop some of the ladies in the early nineties and I mean the nineties and the early two thousands was was was was dogs you had Lil Kim. Yeah, Foxy Brown who's a dog. So, you know, you I I I I have nothing against the new the new generation, but man, I just sometimes you get tired of hearing some of that stuff. Again the on the left, the women, again to me they make it make a lot of those good club songs that everybody wanna dance to and hear. Again, this the males, they're not in no order, but I love to hear some some which they don't have the baby, a little baby should be on this list, but I like twenty one Savage. I like I like Drake. Can't can't I'm a Drake fan, I can't lie, Kendrick be doing his thing. Lamo J. Code. of course we know Wayne, one of the goats top top three of all time, maybe top two. And some people booked number one. So I I just I don't know, I just feel like that's the difference between female than men male rappers. It's seem like more female rapping these days what you're gonna make they're making for the club. I'm gonna keep repeating myself, but they're making club music and ratchet music as they say. And you don't get to hear a lot of those men songs that that split some game from the even D one. that's another artist who Be doing some positive stuff, but you don't hear a lot of this stuff because the radio station doesn't play it. If you don't know a lot of these artists, you probably would never hear about So I'll move on from that one. And another question I have, do you think the music that a lot of the rappers are making today is gonna be or be is gonna be around in twenty years? We still got music from back in the days that's still people play to this day. you can go back to a lot of the music. Shoot what's the number one song everybody here in the summer, summertime fresh prints them. But it's a lot of artists from shit. You still a damn jewelry. back that ass up on what over twenty something years now. but it's a lot of Nelly got a lot of music that's still playing. Jay Z also, Nas. They got a lot of hits that's still playing. over twenty years now, Tupac. You can always hear man, you can always hear Pac, even some of Biggie. But that's one thing I wonder if if people if some of these new artists that's coming out that's gonna be around that long. And for me the ones I can see that's gonna be around now, I wanna say I think I w I guess you can put J. Cole in that book. I see J. Cole, Coach Kendrick, Drake gonna be around of course. I think Baby might be around. Well, he keep sabotaging his own career. the baby. I like the little baby. That's another one I listen to. I have a lot of young NBA Youngboy in my playlist. When I'm not listening to R and B and Soul Blues and my workouts, man. I be getting my little energy on. So that's a question I got for y'all, man. If y'all still watching the show, man, go ahead and leave comments on and tell me y'all's thoughts on Well, you still hearing all this that's out now, twenty years from now. And also, if you've been watching the show, man, again, I appreciate y'all for hanging on this long. And go ahead and hit that that subscribe button, that like button, and also share with a friend or three, man. And make sure that friend shares with another friend, 'cause that's again, like I said earlier, that's what keeps us keep us going. So again, man, I wanna thank y'all for who who who's been who've been showing love for all this time. You know, So on to this next session I have before I get out y'all got one more to go we're gonna move on to Super Bowl, Super Bowl halftime act. I see that Jay Z had the Jay that Jigger had put himself as the halftime act. Do y'all feel like let me see, do you feel like he Y'all read no, I don't see it y'all feel like, but I I feel like it's worthy. He I feel like he he deserved it. you seen everybody else done done it. why can't why can't Hove do it? because Hove is he's still to this day putting up numbers. If y'all saw his his last concert, I know some people that flew that that flew to the concerts and everything. So what are y'all thoughts on on Jay on Hove, I guess, performing at the halftime, after the halftime show, because I I I I I can see it being a a beautiful show. Have you ever been to a Jay Z concert, man, that dude put on a h a hell of a show? I've I've remember going to, I think, two of his concerts and I was in the thing the the whole time. The guy is still selling out stadiums, not arenas. He's selling out stadiums. I I can see Jay bringing out a couple of a lot of these guests, man. like like I say, he's still showing he's still selling out shows. You look at the Yankee Stadium he did in July last in July this year, he sold out all boat nights and I believe that's like eighty seven thousand total. I wanna say almost ninety thousand if you if the mat is correct if I'm messing up, but Like 90,000 90,000 total in two nights. He's setting out the Yankee Stadium. And then he did the Roots thing where the Roots had 80,000 people, and that was a hell of a show. So I think my opinion, I would love to see Jay because I know he's I can see him bringing out. You know B gonna be there. Alicia Key is gonna be there. So imagine he he can get everybody else that he'd done records with from I can see Justin Timmerick being there. You know, because you know Justin, he came out for the big dogs. And imagine You hearing that renegade and walk on the stage. And you know you're gonna do something per for for real. So yeah, man, I I can see I would love to see Hove perform at the halftime show, but I d only other person I can see performing that I would like to see is Chris Brown. And we know because of Chris Brown history with Jay, that's probably not gonna never happen unless they can fix that that issue they had for a long time. Well, everybody knows the reason why that's happening. But I would love to see Chris Brown perform. 'Cause I went to his concert a couple or a month ago and man that dude from flying around the stadium to dancing, flipping, and you still sound like you're not out of breath, man, that dude put on the hell of a show. So I can imagine what he'll do for the Super Bowl if given the opportunity, man. So I would love to see Chris Brown soon, hopefully soon. That'll be a perfect thing. But man, Jay, continue to do your thing, man. and you go from there. think that's pretty much all I got for tonight. so again, I'm about to get ready to get out of here 'cause I've been on here for a hour when and I was kinda nervous about it doing my first show by myself, which I'm gonna watch my videos and see what I can do better in. And I get it, I really enjoyed this, man. So you might see me just pop on sometimes at night just talking talking my talking my stuff. Shouts out you know me, I got four three teams. Shouts out to my forty nine, the six and no. And also we will be seven and no this weekend. I don't bet on anything, but we're gonna do that. And also put some respect on his name before we get out of here. A K joined the five thousand Russian and five thousand yards receiving club. Shouts out to K man. Shout out to AK for doing this thing. So again we got a a lot couple other shows that we that we do on Monday nights. I mean sorry, Tuesday nights. We got NFL breakdown where me, Troy, Smooth, Motown, and sometimes we have special guests that show up. We break down the NFL more detail where we talk about everything from the course of Cowboys to anything going on to the NFL. We always gonna make y'all laugh. And also somebody's gonna probably get cussed out every once in a while on there. I ex man, what the hell are you talking about? And on Twist and Nights that you see I'm doing tonight is more of a it's it's Barbershop after hours where we talk a little bit of sports, a little bit of hip hop, a little bit of culture, what's going on in the world. So we do a lot of that. And also don't forget to check out the show that me and the wifey have. We call Let's Let's Talk About It. And we just dropped a new episode which is doing real good on YouTube. And also we got a some good review some good Reviews on that and people coming up to me saying, Hey man, we love y'all show. so I keep doing y'all thing. We can't wait to see the next one. So if y'all didn't see that one we just did, connect online and disconnect. I had a lot of people come up to me or call me and say, Hey man, I ain't nothing wrong with sharing your location. I share my location with my wife. I share my location. Hey man, that's you do. Man, keep on sharing it, but that's not what I do. If you got if you if you don't know what I'm talking about, you gotta go back and watch the show. So we talk about pretty much everything on that show. So go ahead and support that show for me, y'all. Again, man, go ahead and subscribe like I keep telling y'all. Because again, y'all subscribing helps out the show. So go ahead and hit that subscribe button, that like, that share. Like I said, share to a friend of two or three, maybe four. But thank y'all for everything, man, for the love y'all been giving the show. So when y'all when I hear y'all say, hey, y'all y'all talked about this, y'all talked about that, I mean y'all watching the show. So again, thank y'all. So I wanna thank everybody who joined me. And my final thoughts is again, another great night is for inside the barbershop. We talked about college football. We talked about LSU, we talked about my Saints, and we talked about the big matchup with Pittsburgh. Also, I gave I went ahead and in my segment I have, I called Put some respect on his name. I went and gave it to Martin Emerson Jr. for the Saints. Caleb Williams for the Chicago Bears. And also CJ C the CJ Strader. So I'm gonna go ahead and get him them flowers and put some respect on their name, y'all. Stop playing with them people. And also thank you, Cody, for coming through, man, showing love, man. I appreciate that. For taking your time from I know you just come from working out and training. You have a big fight this weekend. So man, make sure y'all go ahead and support him. And keep out on this young man. I'm telling you, y'all gonna be like damn. That's the young kid that was on Johnny's on JB's show, man. I'm telling y'all, this kid got a future. Don't don't jump on the bandwagon. When y'all see him in that cage, he putting him hands up, he got that belt around, a couple of belts around his waist, fighting on prime title. but then I think his name. So again, man, thank you, Cody, for showing up. And don't forget we we we also got into the women's versus the men in hip hop, plus the Jay Z in his legacy. So Again, man, I want to thank y'all for joining me tonight. And also before I get out the show, I want to go ahead and send the shout out to my sponsor one more time.
