- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, Monday Funday here and down to a final four.
- 0:04Speaker 1: We're getting ready for the end of the regular season
- 0:06Speaker 1: in the NBA, the NHL, my goodness, and of course
- 0:10Speaker 1: Major League Baseball all in store for you. And we
- 0:15Speaker 1: have a pres free zone today here, maybe all week,
- 0:19Speaker 1: which means it's power time, Brian Power in the house,
- 0:23Speaker 1: ready to hang with us all week here on the
- 0:25Speaker 1: best betting show ever. And what I mean by all
- 0:28Speaker 1: week at least the next eight minutes. It's always a
- 0:31Speaker 1: pleasure to see you VP, even most people watching us. No,
- 0:35Speaker 1: that's not true either, but it is. No Honestly, it's
- 0:38Speaker 1: always a pleasure of seeing you here as we get
- 0:40Speaker 1: ready to say I can't believe it, goodbye to March.
- 0:43Speaker 1: But the madness is alive and well here, my friend is.
- 0:48Speaker 1: It was getting a little chalky for me, to tell
- 0:50Speaker 1: you the truth, with the ridiculousness and the blowouts that
- 0:55Speaker 1: we were getting here, But boy, Yukon changed all of
- 0:59Speaker 1: that for us yesterday against Duke, didn't they. And now
- 1:03Speaker 1: it's a very interesting final four coming up here, isn't it.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it is pleasure to be here, Joe, of course,
- 1:12Speaker 2: and interesting that I had Duke's team total over in
- 1:18Speaker 2: that game yesterday, very given how the game played out,
- 1:23Speaker 2: very kind of interesting winner. I'm sure that if you're
- 1:26Speaker 2: a Duke fan, you don't really give a damn that
- 1:28Speaker 2: they barely scratched over their team total and another unnecessary
- 1:32Speaker 2: sweat for me Joe. They scored forty four points in
- 1:35Speaker 2: the first half in the Blue Devils, and the team
- 1:38Speaker 2: total I got it at sixty nine and a half.
- 1:39Speaker 2: I'm thinking of myself, what are the chances that this
- 1:42Speaker 2: Duke team's only gonna put twenty five points in the
- 1:45Speaker 2: next second half or in the second half. Well, with
- 1:48Speaker 2: two minutes left, they only scored twenty five points, and
- 1:51Speaker 2: I'm like, and guess what a team that had played
- 1:54Speaker 2: with fire all tournament long. They trailed Ciena by double digits.
- 1:59Speaker 2: It was a lost game with TCU seventy five percent
- 2:01Speaker 2: of the way through before Jamie Dixon got a ridiculous
- 2:04Speaker 2: technical foul for protesting a bad call. And then they
- 2:07Speaker 2: trailed Saint John's by double digits as well. Well, it
- 2:10Speaker 2: all blew up in john Shire and Duke's face. They
- 2:13Speaker 2: are out yukon now seventeen and one against the number
- 2:18Speaker 2: the last three years in the tournament.
- 2:20Speaker 3: And that is a championship pedigree.
- 2:22Speaker 1: That was that was my five percent yesterday and the
- 2:26Speaker 1: weekend I had Duke getting five and a half.
- 2:29Speaker 3: It got bet.
- 2:30Speaker 1: It was funny, he got bet to about four four
- 2:32Speaker 1: and a half, and then the whole world came in
- 2:34Speaker 1: on Duke yesterday pushing it back up to a five
- 2:38Speaker 1: and a half dog and a five and a half
- 2:40Speaker 1: favorite for Duke. And after they went one and for
- 2:43Speaker 1: eleven from three in the first half, and that was
- 2:46Speaker 1: really the big difference in the first half was their
- 2:48Speaker 1: inability to get anything to drop from the perimeter. Now,
- 2:53Speaker 1: Duke has always been a good three point defender. I
- 2:57Speaker 1: think teams shot just about thirty percent on the year
- 2:59Speaker 1: for them, but at one point, even going into the
- 3:02Speaker 1: second half, they were one for seventeen, one for eighteen
- 3:05Speaker 1: before they made one. So you kind of were going,
- 3:09Speaker 1: my goodness, if they just shot thirty percent the season average.
- 3:14Speaker 3: I mean, the variance was ridiculous.
- 3:16Speaker 1: That you had Saint John's made an absurd amount of
- 3:19Speaker 1: threes as a thirty percent, you know, three point shooting team,
- 3:23Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden they're hitting forty five
- 3:26Speaker 1: or better from three. In that game against Duke, and
- 3:29Speaker 1: in this one you've got I mean, listen, they were
- 3:31Speaker 1: a Yukon during a year thirty six percent three point
- 3:35Speaker 1: shooting team. It wasn't tremendous, but they were certainly better
- 3:38Speaker 1: than the one for eleven in the first half. So
- 3:41Speaker 1: they honestly had to come back from dominating everything else
- 3:46Speaker 1: bp they dominated. They didn't turn the ball over to
- 3:49Speaker 1: Duke right like we saw other teams.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Didn't turn up.
- 3:52Speaker 1: We saw the turnover issue with Duke into the Saint
- 3:55Speaker 1: John's with the pressure, Saint John's couldn't finish. Yukon is
- 4:00Speaker 1: a national chance, Yukon has a championship pedigree, and you
- 4:03Speaker 1: know what, that mattered there. And Caraban, to me, maybe
- 4:09Speaker 1: might have been the unsung guy. A lot of guys
- 4:12Speaker 1: would have just panicked and chucked that ball up when
- 4:14Speaker 1: he was given that at the end, and instead he
- 4:17Speaker 1: gave it back to a wide open mull And to
- 4:19Speaker 1: get it, which was I thought, that's when experience matters
- 4:23Speaker 1: in college basketball. Didn't look panicked at all Yukon in
- 4:27Speaker 1: the second half, and I think that's the difference.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:31Speaker 2: I mean, look, you're never DoD I mean, how many
- 4:33Speaker 2: times have we seen in these games shoe the second
- 4:35Speaker 2: half going wildly different from the first. Unfortunately, I had
- 4:38Speaker 2: a loser on Saturday with a Purdue team and was
- 4:41Speaker 2: beating here heaven. You know, you're getting more possessions and
- 4:46Speaker 2: you think, okay, we could stay within the number.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Still.
- 4:49Speaker 2: You know, it's funny you brought up the three point
- 4:51Speaker 2: variants with Saint John's in that game on Friday. I
- 4:54Speaker 2: had the Johnnies against you, and I felt a little
- 4:57Speaker 2: queasy going into the game because they were the verbial
- 5:00Speaker 2: public dog. Yep, Saint John's was, but the whole it's
- 5:05Speaker 2: it's funny how you you were talking about how you
- 5:08Speaker 2: were feeling during the game. If we could only hit
- 5:10Speaker 2: a three, if we can only hit a three, we
- 5:12Speaker 2: can get back inside this number, maybe with Yukon. Well,
- 5:14Speaker 2: I'm watching Saint John's a duke, and I'm watching Saint
- 5:17Speaker 2: John's melt down the stretch, and I keep them look
- 5:20Speaker 2: saying to myself, they shot so well from three, there's
- 5:23Speaker 2: no way we can't cover. They shot beyond my wildest
- 5:26Speaker 2: dreams from three. We have to stay within this number
- 5:28Speaker 2: and they and they fortunately did. But yeah, duke, look,
- 5:33Speaker 2: they kept saying during that Saint John's telecast. This is
- 5:36Speaker 2: a team Duke that, including the Saint John's game, they
- 5:39Speaker 2: had one they were six and oh Duke was in
- 5:41Speaker 2: game where they trailed by double digits. Joe, as you know,
- 5:45Speaker 2: you've watched enough basketballow falling behind double digits is not
- 5:49Speaker 2: generally a good recipe for winning games. So I know
- 5:52Speaker 2: there's a lot of people in Duke Land who are
- 5:54Speaker 2: gonna say, oh, we're so unlucky the way we lost
- 5:56Speaker 2: that game against Yukon. Oh, you know the North Carolina
- 5:59Speaker 2: game in the regular season. Remember they led like ninety
- 6:02Speaker 2: nine percent of that game except until the game winning three.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Yep, you know, it works both ways.
- 6:08Speaker 2: You know, Duke was a team that, yes, they blew
- 6:10Speaker 2: big leads in some of their losses, but they also
- 6:13Speaker 2: had a lot of comeback wins. And they did one
- 6:15Speaker 2: more stat for one more stat for you, Joe. I
- 6:17Speaker 2: had given this out on the Morning Wager last week.
- 6:20Speaker 2: We had never ever had back to back tournaments where
- 6:25Speaker 2: at least three number one seeds made the final four.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Of course, last year all four made it. It looked like,
- 6:32Speaker 2: you know, when Duke was up big at the half yesterday,
- 6:34Speaker 2: it looked like history was gonna be made. We were
- 6:35Speaker 2: gonna get three this year, but nope, that trend still
- 6:38Speaker 2: holds and just two.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Number one seeds.
- 6:41Speaker 2: And I guess we probably should talk about that game
- 6:44Speaker 2: since it's going to get a lot of discussion over
- 6:46Speaker 2: the next six days. Michigan and Arizona. But I guess
- 6:49Speaker 2: everyone is gonna say Joe is the true National Championship
- 6:53Speaker 2: game on Saturday.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I could tell there is one thing that stands out
- 6:59Speaker 1: to me in this final four, and that is the
- 7:02Speaker 1: makeup of these teams are all very similar. And what
- 7:07Speaker 1: I mean by that is there are more six eleven
- 7:10Speaker 1: and seven footers on these four teams.
- 7:14Speaker 3: These teams are huge.
- 7:17Speaker 1: And the fact that I mean NATO IT team brought
- 7:19Speaker 1: up Charles Bettiaco as a reason is to why they
- 7:22Speaker 1: couldn't compete with Michigan, I thought was hilarious. But I mean,
- 7:27Speaker 1: you look at the These are the biggest teams I
- 7:29Speaker 1: can remember in a very long time heading to the
- 7:32Speaker 1: Final four. The difference obviously is going to be some
- 7:36Speaker 1: of them. You know, Michigan shoots the three much better
- 7:41Speaker 1: than Arizona does. Arizona's not a three point shooting team.
- 7:44Speaker 1: They're into dominating inside the payton at the rim. Michigan's
- 7:48Speaker 1: pretty good at defending inside of that, and they have
- 7:51Speaker 1: just as much size as Arizona. So I think that's
- 7:54Speaker 1: gonna be fascinating. And listen, Illinois, the team two and
- 7:57Speaker 1: all that size, they're not gonna let you getting your
- 8:00Speaker 1: own rebounds. But at the same time, did it look
- 8:04Speaker 1: like did it look like Yukon was intimidated at all
- 8:08Speaker 1: from the Physicality's like?
- 8:10Speaker 3: No, these these four teams, I.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Think they're a lot closer than the market is setting
- 8:16Speaker 1: them up to be. The market is making it seem
- 8:18Speaker 1: as if whoever wins this Michigan Arizona game is your
- 8:21Speaker 1: national champion. I don't think so, because they're to me,
- 8:25Speaker 1: there's not a whole lot separating these four teams.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's gonna be said a lot over the
- 8:31Speaker 2: next I'm with you, like a very interesting to see
- 8:34Speaker 2: where the market is at, you know, where it opens
- 8:38Speaker 2: on Sunday after these two national semi finals are over,
- 8:41Speaker 2: because like I said before I threw it to you,
- 8:43Speaker 2: we're gonna have now five six days where we keep
- 8:45Speaker 2: hearing Michigan Arizona's the real national championship. And when that
- 8:49Speaker 2: viewpoint just get with you know, a rolling stone gathering
- 8:52Speaker 2: moss if you will, Joe, everyone's gonna say that the
- 8:56Speaker 2: market's gonna respond accordingly, and there could potentially be some
- 9:00Speaker 2: value on the underdog next Monday, whomever that may be,
- 9:03Speaker 2: Ill or Yukon. I want to go back to something
- 9:07Speaker 2: you said about the size of these teams. I think, yeah,
- 9:11Speaker 2: it's sort of you know, people for you know, I
- 9:14Speaker 2: think with the three point shot, everyone sort of forgot
- 9:18Speaker 2: that size can matter as well. And you know, rim
- 9:20Speaker 2: protection that's huge, right. Obviously, there's so much variance involved
- 9:24Speaker 2: in three point shooting. I always joke if we knew
- 9:26Speaker 2: what the three point variants that was going to be
- 9:28Speaker 2: ahead of time, we'd all be millionaires. But the one
- 9:30Speaker 2: thing you can't control with size.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Is rim protection.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Yes, and Michigan and Arizona both do that exceptionally well,
- 9:38Speaker 2: you know, they make it hard, you know.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Teams that penetrate.
- 9:41Speaker 2: You know, we saw Arkansas who had been feasting for
- 9:44Speaker 2: about a month getting the inside could do nothing against
- 9:48Speaker 2: Arizona and then Arkansas, you being in that defensively didn't
- 9:51Speaker 2: help their case either. But yeah, I mean I think team,
- 9:54Speaker 2: you know, these teams with size that matters, man, because
- 9:56Speaker 2: you have rim protection. In modern basketball, teams are to
- 10:00Speaker 2: take two shit. They want to either get close to
- 10:01Speaker 2: the rim, they want to get layups or dunks and threes. No,
- 10:05Speaker 2: there's no one's taking mid range jumpers anymore.
- 10:09Speaker 1: So although Illinois is pretty good, I mean, Illinois is
- 10:12Speaker 1: actually a pretty good team too. With that, Purdue was
- 10:15Speaker 1: very good. But Purdue just you know, they fell apart
- 10:18Speaker 1: in the second half. Shocker that a Matt Painter and
- 10:22Speaker 1: Rick Barnes team can't make it past the Elite eight.
- 10:24Speaker 1: What a absolute shocker there. But it is going to
- 10:28Speaker 1: be a fantastic Final four, I think, and I do
- 10:32Speaker 1: believe there's a couple of teams undervalued, maybe a couple
- 10:35Speaker 1: of teams overvalued. We'll talk about that coming up in
- 10:39Speaker 1: the predictive markets. I do want to mention also, Major
- 10:42Speaker 1: League Baseball full weekend in the books here BP, and
- 10:47Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I think it's going to go down as
- 10:51Speaker 1: maybe one of the greatest. And we don't get a
- 10:53Speaker 1: lot of rule changes in Major League Baseball because nobody
- 10:57Speaker 1: lives in the rearview mirror better than major League Baseball.
- 11:00Speaker 1: On the purists and oh we've always done it, that
- 11:05Speaker 1: whole crew there again, dude, you imagine if Babe Ruth
- 11:08Speaker 1: add an ab the ABS system might be the greatest
- 11:12Speaker 1: thing ever to happen in Major League Baseball, because if
- 11:15Speaker 1: you watch the reaction just on Saturday's game alone with
- 11:20Speaker 1: the Red Sox and the Reds and that home playing
- 11:23Speaker 1: umpire got six calls overturned, and the Red Sox in
- 11:28Speaker 1: the meantime blew through their challengers early in the game
- 11:31Speaker 1: and then couldn't challenge when they needed to at the
- 11:34Speaker 1: end of the game. It adds a whole new layer
- 11:36Speaker 1: of intrigue to the game here. And more importantly, it
- 11:41Speaker 1: doesn't take forever. We know the answer right away and
- 11:45Speaker 1: get the goddamn call, right, That's all that matters.
- 11:48Speaker 3: That's all we care about.
- 11:49Speaker 1: But you would have thought they were playing a playoff
- 11:51Speaker 1: game with how the crowd was going ballistic every time
- 11:55Speaker 1: the home plane umpire got overturned in favor of a
- 11:58Speaker 1: Reds hitter.
- 11:59Speaker 3: It is hilarious. I'm like, give me more of this.
- 12:02Speaker 3: I Baseball nailed it with this.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Yes, I concur And the funny thing was, it's also
- 12:08Speaker 2: confirming something we already believed that ce B Buckner, who
- 12:11Speaker 2: was the umpire in question, Joe sticks. You know he
- 12:14Speaker 2: was a money Yeah, I know, but he was. He
- 12:18Speaker 2: was one of the ones in particular that was much
- 12:20Speaker 2: And yes, the new system made him look foolish, and
- 12:23Speaker 2: I think that's why I think a lot of people
- 12:24Speaker 2: are like, yes, ce B Buckner is a terrible home
- 12:26Speaker 2: plate on fire and guess what is to confirm that he's.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Not very good?
- 12:30Speaker 2: And you're right, at the end of the day, I
- 12:33Speaker 2: get that human error is a part of sports. But
- 12:36Speaker 2: at the end of the day, we want the calls
- 12:38Speaker 2: to be right. You know, nobody wants games any sport.
- 12:42Speaker 2: No one wants anything to be determined by you know,
- 12:44Speaker 2: bad officiating, bad umpire. So yes, I'm all for it,
- 12:47Speaker 2: and it doesn't take a lot of time. We just
- 12:49Speaker 2: want these calls to be right, you know. Middle Again
- 12:53Speaker 2: he always says, I think everything should be reviewable. Now
- 12:56Speaker 2: I think, you know, there needs to be some constraints
- 12:58Speaker 2: we don't want, but no, I'm.
- 12:59Speaker 3: All for it.
- 13:01Speaker 1: And again, I think there's a strategy now in play. Again,
- 13:04Speaker 1: didn't work out for Kora, but you know there's you
- 13:09Speaker 1: gotta be able to pick them away, and I think
- 13:10Speaker 1: it's gonna be fantastic. Fifty four percent of the actual
- 13:15Speaker 1: challengers got overturned this past so far in Major League
- 13:19Speaker 1: Baseball to start and see it, which means it's working.
- 13:22Speaker 1: It's doing exactly what we wanted it to do. Because
- 13:25Speaker 1: across that many games, that's a pretty big that's an
- 13:28Speaker 1: impressive percentage of calls that were they got wrong, you know,
- 13:33Speaker 1: a couple of inches here and there. But the reality
- 13:36Speaker 1: is it changes the dynamic of the game and makes
- 13:41Speaker 1: it worth makes it really interesting to watch how this
- 13:44Speaker 1: all happens moving forward. But I love that hopefully this
- 13:49Speaker 1: makes the umpires better in the long run after getting
- 13:53Speaker 1: turned out, like maybe this helps Buckner get you know,
- 13:56Speaker 1: is strikeing someone be a little bit better. But my goodness,
- 13:59Speaker 1: I mean five for five and two innings was hilarious
- 14:03Speaker 1: to watch.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Did you see they have the stats? There was a
- 14:08Speaker 2: huge split between old umpires and young umpires who were
- 14:13Speaker 2: getting calls overturned. Like it was. It really skewed to
- 14:18Speaker 2: the older umpires, which you know, we don't want to
- 14:21Speaker 2: be an show here on the best betting show ever,
- 14:24Speaker 2: but but there could be a uh sort of don't
- 14:29Speaker 2: let the door hit your ass on the way out
- 14:30Speaker 2: to some of these older umpires that could be a
- 14:33Speaker 2: result of this that some of these guys don't get
- 14:35Speaker 2: the found forever. If you're missing, you know, you're getting
- 14:38Speaker 2: half your calls wrong the game or at least five.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Well, teams like the Yankees who don't chase and don't
- 14:45Speaker 1: you know, take a ton of pitches there could it's
- 14:48Speaker 1: gonna be advantage here at some point. I think there's
- 14:51Speaker 1: some of those more plate disciplined teams. Well, one thing's
- 14:55Speaker 1: for sure, it is absolutely highlighting, you know. That's why
- 14:59Speaker 1: we say part of the handicappers know who's behind home plate.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Guys know who's calling balls and strikes. It could be
- 15:05Speaker 1: a lot more abs involved in games before it is
- 15:08Speaker 1: all said and done so BP, we got a ton
- 15:11Speaker 1: of Major League Baseball action here today.
- 15:15Speaker 3: We've got some NBA action.
- 15:17Speaker 1: We've got a couple of predictive markets that we're going
- 15:20Speaker 1: to take a look at involving both the NBA and
- 15:24Speaker 1: the National Championship here in college hoops. But first you
- 15:28Speaker 1: got to get a parlay of the day here going
- 15:32Speaker 1: where are you going to head here.
- 15:33Speaker 3: For your end of the Well, what's going to.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Be a two team looks like it could be a
- 15:38Speaker 1: two team money line parlay? Maybe what are you looking
- 15:40Speaker 1: at here today?
- 15:42Speaker 2: I'm looking at the Reds, who are host of the Pirates. Joe,
- 15:45Speaker 2: I understand what the conventional wisdom was coming into the
- 15:49Speaker 2: twenty twenty sixth season.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Here.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Everyone loves this Pirates team. You're going to take a
- 15:54Speaker 2: big step forward, possibly make the playoffs.
- 15:57Speaker 3: You and I talk.
- 15:57Speaker 2: I believe it was last Monday when I was on
- 15:59Speaker 2: the greve you and I said, maybe it was time
- 16:02Speaker 2: to pump the brakes on that it is still the
- 16:03Speaker 2: Pirates after all. Meanwhile, everyone likes the Reds, who did
- 16:08Speaker 2: wind up getting that last wild card spot last fall.
- 16:11Speaker 2: If your call everyone, they were a kind of a
- 16:14Speaker 2: consensus underteam coming to the right. A lot of people
- 16:17Speaker 2: thought they were going to finish with a losing record.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Well one weekend in the books, Pirates one and two,
- 16:22Speaker 2: Reds two and one. I like the Reds in the
- 16:24Speaker 2: opener mainly because of who is on the mound, Chase Burns.
- 16:28Speaker 2: This is a very highly touted prospect. He was the
- 16:30Speaker 2: number two pick in the twenty twenty four draft. If
- 16:32Speaker 2: you remember he was, You know, there were a lot
- 16:35Speaker 2: of these highly touted prospects that seemed to be called
- 16:38Speaker 2: up all at once. Joe in the second half last
- 16:40Speaker 2: year of the season, Burns did struggle with his command,
- 16:45Speaker 2: but I mean, this is a guy who averaged nearly
- 16:48Speaker 2: fourteen strikeouts for nine innings. And if you look at
- 16:52Speaker 2: Phipp versus Era, I think PHIP is a far more
- 16:55Speaker 2: predictive metric than Era is. His FIP was really good
- 17:00Speaker 2: Burns last year two point six y five. So I
- 17:04Speaker 2: think Burns, who did not get a win in his
- 17:07Speaker 2: thirteen appearances eight starts last year, is in line for
- 17:10Speaker 2: a strong start tonight. I know the Pirates offense has improved.
- 17:14Speaker 2: How much is it improved? We shall see. And I
- 17:17Speaker 2: like Burns. I prefer him to Ashcroft, who's starting for Pittsburgh.
- 17:21Speaker 2: So Reds minus one thirty on the money line, that'll
- 17:24Speaker 2: be my half of the ARLA of the day. And
- 17:28Speaker 2: I would not mind even Joe sprinkling a little bit
- 17:31Speaker 2: on Burns plus two twenty to get a win tonight,
- 17:35Speaker 2: to record a win, Oh.
- 17:37Speaker 1: I kind of I kind of liked that there BP
- 17:41Speaker 1: all right, so and by the way, crazy what what
- 17:45Speaker 1: is it Salvator Stewart?
- 17:47Speaker 3: Is it is?
- 17:47Speaker 2: That?
- 17:48Speaker 3: Is that his name? Salvator Stewart?
- 17:51Speaker 1: The kid might hit four hundreds with the way he
- 17:54Speaker 1: he went this week. And guy is an absolute stud
- 17:57Speaker 1: and he doesn't have the great baseball body, but the
- 18:00Speaker 1: kid is an absolute monster at the played here. So
- 18:03Speaker 1: the future pretty bright there for your Reds. Now, there
- 18:09Speaker 1: are some teams that have some serious issues, especially in
- 18:12Speaker 1: the bullpen, and Tampa Bay was one of those teams
- 18:15Speaker 1: this weekend between them and the Cardinals. I don't know
- 18:18Speaker 1: what bullpen was worse, but the amount of runs that
- 18:21Speaker 1: we got in that game that series between the Rays
- 18:25Speaker 1: and the Cardinals was hilarious. Now, Tampa's got to take
- 18:28Speaker 1: this disheveled bullpen on the road to take on the
- 18:31Speaker 1: Milwaukee Brewers, who already showed us this past week they
- 18:34Speaker 1: got no problem beating up awful pitching and that's what
- 18:38Speaker 1: we got from the White Sox here. Something tells me
- 18:41Speaker 1: we're gonna get a ton of runs in this Tampa
- 18:44Speaker 1: and Milwaukee game here tonight. I believe the young guy
- 18:48Speaker 1: Martinez is going of all teams there, and Kyle Harrison
- 18:52Speaker 1: going for their prospective teams. Either way, I thought eight
- 18:56Speaker 1: was too low. Eight and a half probably start to
- 19:00Speaker 1: pop up in the marketplace right now. Can't truck Cash
- 19:03Speaker 1: doesn't know what to do with that bullpen of Tampa.
- 19:06Speaker 1: They usually don't figure it out until we get to
- 19:08Speaker 1: May anyway.
- 19:09Speaker 3: But the way the.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Brewers are swinging the bats, there is no reason for
- 19:14Speaker 1: me to think they can't put up six runs themselves
- 19:17Speaker 1: in this game. I think this goes flying over the total.
- 19:20Speaker 1: So I'll go with the over tonight with Tampa and
- 19:23Speaker 1: the Brewers.
- 19:24Speaker 3: There BP.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Brewers always a team that the sports but that better's
- 19:29Speaker 2: down the year, and they always seem to defy the
- 19:33Speaker 2: laws of regression and defy the presets and baselines. So yeah, Milwaukee,
- 19:40Speaker 2: you're gonna be I think Tampa Bay'll figure it out too.
- 19:42Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know what Tampa Bay's ceiling is
- 19:44Speaker 2: in that division. The AL East is obviously so tough.
- 19:47Speaker 2: I bet Tampa Bay over their win total. I think
- 19:50Speaker 2: they could still get there. I mean, but you know,
- 19:52Speaker 2: well they got I mean they can't.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I mean, Griffin Jacks blew a couple of saves this
- 19:56Speaker 1: past week, and I mean they got a couple of
- 19:59Speaker 1: guys that are just and they got used a lot
- 20:02Speaker 1: in that series. So something tells me, yeah, we might
- 20:05Speaker 1: be taking one for the team here tonight, these starting pitchers.
- 20:09Speaker 1: But I still think runs because I believe the Tampa
- 20:12Speaker 1: offense more than capable of scoring some runs in that
- 20:15Speaker 1: ballpark as well, So give me the over in that. Also, guys,
- 20:19Speaker 1: make sure you hit the like, hit the subscribe button,
- 20:22Speaker 1: make sure you become part of the wager Talk TV family.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Here.
- 20:26Speaker 1: BP also has a show with what our good friend
- 20:30Speaker 1: Mark Zeno there during the week that you can catch
- 20:33Speaker 1: on the YouTube channel there. How is the Morning Wager
- 20:37Speaker 1: going these days?
- 20:38Speaker 3: There? BP going swimmingly? You can catch it, and you know,
- 20:41Speaker 3: we give you a choice.
- 20:42Speaker 2: You can watch it here on the wager Talk YouTube channel,
- 20:44Speaker 2: or you can watch on the Picks and Parlays YouTube channel.

- 20:50Speaker 2: you will not miss any of the content on both
- 20:54Speaker 2: of those YouTube channels.
- 20:55Speaker 3: But yes, the.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Monday's Morning Wager has already been posted every Monday through Friday.
- 21:00Speaker 2: And I giving you three free plays, so.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Tree free plays. I love that all.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Right, before we get into the rundowns and some business here,
- 21:11Speaker 1: let's talk about these predictive markets because they are on
- 21:14Speaker 1: fire right now BP, And let's start with the National
- 21:18Speaker 1: Championship Game. First, you and I were talking now that
- 21:22Speaker 1: of course we have an understanding of who the final
- 21:25Speaker 1: four teams are. As you can see, this is an
- 21:28Speaker 1: interesting market because the national champion while Arizona Michigan awkward
- 21:33Speaker 1: play one another. So one of those two teams is
- 21:36Speaker 1: not going to advance. But Illinois and Yukon obviously underpriced
- 21:43Speaker 1: as far as I'm concerned, I had mentioned I don't
- 21:45Speaker 1: think there's a lot separating these four teams. But from
- 21:49Speaker 1: a price perspective, I mean, I'm looking at thirty let's
- 21:54Speaker 1: just say thirty five cents for Michigan and Arizona to
- 21:57Speaker 1: win the National Championship. Well, whoever wins that game. To me,
- 22:02Speaker 1: they're going to be the favorite. And I've got it
- 22:04Speaker 1: somewhere between the sixty to sixty five sixty six cent
- 22:10Speaker 1: mark that just by being in the final game, they're
- 22:13Speaker 1: gonna come close to doubling what their price is right now.
- 22:16Speaker 1: And I think we can say the same thing for
- 22:17Speaker 1: Illinois and Yukon. I mean, you conted fourteen cents right
- 22:21Speaker 1: now just by beating Illinois and getting into the National Championship.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I think that fourteen cents turns into forty cents tomorrow
- 22:29Speaker 1: there BP as soon as the game is over. So Again,
- 22:32Speaker 1: the thing about the predictive markets is we don't need
- 22:35Speaker 1: this to go to FRU. I don't need these teams
- 22:38Speaker 1: to actually win. It would be great if you wanted
- 22:41Speaker 1: to hold on to it, but I'm all about the
- 22:43Speaker 1: options being able to cash out, buying in low and selling.
- 22:48Speaker 1: When all of a sudden, you know, Yukon, I get
- 22:51Speaker 1: in at fourteen, they beat Illinois, and now all of
- 22:53Speaker 1: a sudden, they're a forty five cent team to win
- 22:56Speaker 1: the national Championship. I'll take that quick turnaround prop any day,
- 23:01Speaker 1: because again, I still think Illinois and Yukon have every
- 23:04Speaker 1: opportunity to win this national Championship, and the pricing is
- 23:08Speaker 1: basically telling you it's Arizona, Michigan. Whoever gets out, I mean,
- 23:12Speaker 1: whoever wins that BP, we're gonna wake up. They're gonna
- 23:14Speaker 1: be a sixty five cent, sixty cent team to win
- 23:18Speaker 1: the national championship. Because they're also gonna be about a
- 23:21Speaker 1: buck fifty. I think favorite one way or together or
- 23:24Speaker 1: more depending on if it's Illinois or Yukon.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I think even more possible. Yeah, looking at that
- 23:30Speaker 2: screen right there, Joe, I would concur with you the
- 23:32Speaker 2: value in that particular market is clearly on whomever you
- 23:37Speaker 2: think is gonna win the Illinois Yukon game with the
- 23:39Speaker 2: ability to you know, cash out obviously before you know,
- 23:43Speaker 2: in between Saturday semi final and Monday's final, I will
- 23:47Speaker 2: say this about Illinois. Interesting trend going against the fighting
- 23:51Speaker 2: a line II Joe. No team that has lost its
- 23:55Speaker 2: first conference tournament game ever went on to win the
- 23:58Speaker 2: national championship. Illinois lost its first conference game. They were
- 24:02Speaker 2: one and none in the Big Ten Attorney, So history
- 24:05Speaker 2: says they're not winning the chance. They're not going to
- 24:07Speaker 2: win the national championship. No, that doesn't mean they can't
- 24:09Speaker 2: beat Yukon and get to the get to the final.
- 24:12Speaker 2: But you know Yukon obviously, you know I mentioned the
- 24:16Speaker 2: trend at the top now seventeen and one against the
- 24:18Speaker 2: spread in the NCAA tournament the last three years or
- 24:22Speaker 2: the last four years. Pardon me, yeah, I mean I
- 24:27Speaker 2: think they showed yesterday. It's a mistake to discount them.
- 24:30Speaker 2: So I you know, you look at that screen again.
- 24:34Speaker 2: I think the value is on Yukon. Really, that that's
- 24:38Speaker 2: who I would go with if I were to you
- 24:40Speaker 2: were to force me to bet yes on someone here
- 24:44Speaker 2: in this market.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Yukon.
- 24:46Speaker 2: And look, it just dropped the twelve cents, so there
- 24:48Speaker 2: you go.
- 24:48Speaker 1: So I mean, yeah, twelve, yeah, it is still it's
- 24:51Speaker 1: about thirteen cents now, so it did drop a cent
- 24:54Speaker 1: there for the yes market. But I'll and I'll say
- 24:57Speaker 1: this BP and again this is all about staf and
- 25:00Speaker 1: giving yourself different options and outs.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Right, if I think.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Illinois is gonna win, I'm betting Illinois on the money
- 25:06Speaker 1: line at minus one thirty against Yukon. But I'm sure
- 25:11Speaker 1: as how back in Illinois at what eighteen cents to
- 25:14Speaker 1: win the national championship in this market, because like I said,
- 25:17Speaker 1: I fully anticipate Illinois to open up if they beat
- 25:22Speaker 1: Yukon here at.
- 25:24Speaker 3: A pretty darn good price.
- 25:25Speaker 1: I mean, you know, they're gonna at least double in
- 25:28Speaker 1: value from what you're getting them in at eighteen cents,
- 25:30Speaker 1: thirty six, thirty seventh or maybe even forty cents. So
- 25:35Speaker 1: not only am I taking them on the money line,
- 25:37Speaker 1: I'm taking them in this market here. That is a
- 25:40Speaker 1: substantial increase for just beating Yukon. So I'll take them
- 25:44Speaker 1: on the money line and I'll invest in them in
- 25:46Speaker 1: eighteen cents and then if they hit forty cents to
- 25:49Speaker 1: win the national championship. Guess what I'm doing Now, I
- 25:52Speaker 1: can figure out what do I want to do. Do
- 25:54Speaker 1: I want to roll the dice or do I want
- 25:57Speaker 1: to cash out and invest it in another market? So
- 26:00Speaker 1: to me, it's all about options VP, and that's what
- 26:03Speaker 1: the predictive markets offer you in conjunction with sportsbooks. Obviously
- 26:08Speaker 1: your money lines and those types of things. Yes, go
- 26:11Speaker 1: ahead and do it. But in a future market like
- 26:14Speaker 1: that with one game to go, we got some opportunities
- 26:18Speaker 1: I think in that space. Same thing in the NBA,
- 26:21Speaker 1: because that's the other market I wanted to talk about. Here,
- 26:24Speaker 1: let's take a look at teams and what the odds
- 26:27Speaker 1: are VP to make the playoffs. Now, again, making the
- 26:33Speaker 1: play in is not making the playoffs. So these prices
- 26:35Speaker 1: are based upon actually making it out of the play
- 26:39Speaker 1: in tournament. And right now we know who's in the
- 26:42Speaker 1: play in tournament. Right, Let's start with the East, because
- 26:46Speaker 1: I believe the East if we look this up here
- 26:49Speaker 1: a little further, the East is Yeah, so Charlotte, Miami, Orlando, Philadelphia,
- 26:56Speaker 1: that's your cut line right there. Right, So of those
- 26:59Speaker 1: team teams, the are BP. I mean, who's making it
- 27:03Speaker 1: from the East into the postseason.
- 27:07Speaker 3: What do we got a better shot at getting here?
- 27:10Speaker 3: Do you think right now?
- 27:12Speaker 2: Well, if we can go back to that screen with
- 27:13Speaker 2: shows the problem, I think Charlotte is the best value
- 27:16Speaker 2: on the board to make the playoffs, to get in
- 27:19Speaker 2: to the final eight. Now, they may have to win
- 27:22Speaker 2: two playing games. Remember, guys, if you finish in that
- 27:25Speaker 2: nine to ten spot, you have to win twice in
- 27:27Speaker 2: the play and tournament to make the playoffs proper. But
- 27:30Speaker 2: you look Joe at a lot of the underlying metrics
- 27:33Speaker 2: and Charlotte is the best of those. You know, Obviously
- 27:36Speaker 2: there's a gap I think most of our viewers. You know,
- 27:39Speaker 2: If you guys don't agree with this, feel free to
- 27:41Speaker 2: comment down below. But I think there's a gap in
- 27:43Speaker 2: the East between the top four teams and then the
- 27:46Speaker 2: next six, right between Cleveland and then the bottom six.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Right.
- 27:50Speaker 2: I think we all presume those top four teams maybe
- 27:53Speaker 2: the conference semi finals, but after that, like, I think
- 27:57Speaker 2: Charlotte's as good as anyone.
- 27:58Speaker 3: I know.
- 27:58Speaker 2: The Hornets are coming off a bad week and they
- 28:00Speaker 2: blew a double digit lead against Philadelphia at home, and
- 28:02Speaker 2: they had to turn around and face Boston yesterday and
- 28:05Speaker 2: they lose. But I mean you look at point differential,
- 28:08Speaker 2: you look at net rating, Charlotte is better than Toronto,
- 28:11Speaker 2: better than Atlanta, Orlando, Miami, Philadelphia. So I think Charlotte, yes,
- 28:17Speaker 2: is a good value to make the top to make
- 28:21Speaker 2: the final eight in the Eastern Conference. Currently trading at
- 28:23Speaker 2: fifty cents.
- 28:24Speaker 1: If I see that, yes, that's kreat I mean it's
- 28:26Speaker 1: about even money as far as what that price is
- 28:30Speaker 1: right now to make the odd of the play and
- 28:33Speaker 1: into the postseason here. I don't think Atlanta up at
- 28:36Speaker 1: the tie. I think Atlanta stays out. I do not
- 28:39Speaker 1: trust Toronto. You and I had a conversation about what
- 28:42Speaker 1: about the no markets for Toronto who beat Orlando. That
- 28:48Speaker 1: was just hilarious yesterday. But you were looking at their
- 28:53Speaker 1: schedule down the road here now currently there's only a
- 28:56Speaker 1: game separating them and everybody else.
- 28:59Speaker 3: That's the play in here. But the schedule.
- 29:02Speaker 1: They got Detroit coming up, They've got Miami twice.
- 29:05Speaker 3: I think they've got Boston.
- 29:07Speaker 1: They have a couple of layoffs also, I think Sacramento
- 29:10Speaker 1: and Memphis in there. Yes, But do we trust Toronto
- 29:15Speaker 1: to make it not only stay out of the play
- 29:17Speaker 1: in but maybe make it out of the play in
- 29:19Speaker 1: because I don't.
- 29:21Speaker 2: So. If you look at the odds to win the
- 29:25Speaker 2: Eastern Conference, okay, the ten teams available in that market,
- 29:29Speaker 2: Toronto is tied with Orlando as the long shot. The
- 29:33Speaker 2: sportsbooks don't aren't big believers in this Toronto team. I
- 29:36Speaker 2: can tell you as a Cavs fan, I would love
- 29:40Speaker 2: if Toronto did finish fifth and that they were the
- 29:42Speaker 2: Calves first round opponents. They're the team I am scared
- 29:46Speaker 2: the least of out of those bottom six, and I
- 29:49Speaker 2: think at what is it twelve cents we saw on
- 29:52Speaker 2: the screen, do you think there's some value in betting
- 29:55Speaker 2: the Raptors not to even make the playoffs?
- 29:57Speaker 3: Yep?
- 29:57Speaker 2: Again, because they're currently fifth. Obviously, if you finish the
- 30:00Speaker 2: top six, you avoid the play true, but if they slipped,
- 30:05Speaker 2: if they were to fall into the plant and look,
- 30:09Speaker 2: if you look, Philadelphia is only a game back, so
- 30:12Speaker 2: Toronto would only need to be passed by you know,
- 30:14Speaker 2: Atlanta and Philly. If Atlanta and Philly finish out of
- 30:17Speaker 2: Toronto and Toronto goes into the play in tournament, yep,
- 30:20Speaker 2: I don't love the Raptors against Orlando, Miami and Charlotte.
- 30:24Speaker 2: I think the week those four teams and they would
- 30:26Speaker 2: have you know, they would have the mindset, Oh my god,
- 30:29Speaker 2: we were top five. Now we fell in this play
- 30:31Speaker 2: in tournament. So you would wonder about the mindset. And
- 30:34Speaker 2: there's a chance they could because you mentioned the schedule,
- 30:36Speaker 2: Joe Miami twice, Boston, the Knicks. So I mean Toronto
- 30:40Speaker 2: may only play five hundred the rest of the way,
- 30:43Speaker 2: and if they do that, there's a chance they slip
- 30:45Speaker 2: into the play And you know, all of a sudden,
- 30:48Speaker 2: if we bet them at twelve cents to miss the playoffs,
- 30:50Speaker 2: if they fall into the play in tournament, we can
- 30:52Speaker 2: cash out and that's a good and make a little
- 30:54Speaker 2: money there.
- 30:55Speaker 3: I kind of like where you're heading with that one.
- 30:57Speaker 1: And the other big question to me over in the
- 30:59Speaker 1: West is what we do with Golden State, who they
- 31:02Speaker 1: swear Steph Curry will be back this week. They're thinking
- 31:07Speaker 1: he will be back here and right now, if we
- 31:10Speaker 1: take a look at what the Western Conference playoffs are
- 31:14Speaker 1: here there they are sitting at the bottom. But you
- 31:18Speaker 1: know who's overtaking them is the question? And if Steph
- 31:23Speaker 1: Curry is back, do we like Steph Curry? I mean,
- 31:27Speaker 1: Memphis is not catching them, right, So we know Memphis
- 31:30Speaker 1: is not in it. So it's just a matter of
- 31:32Speaker 1: whether or not you think Golden State's going to make
- 31:34Speaker 1: it out of the play in game with porzingis now
- 31:37Speaker 1: apparently somewhat healthy, and Steph Curry, now he is that
- 31:42Speaker 1: kind of game changer. So is there any value in
- 31:46Speaker 1: because nobody, it looks like, from the market perspective, thinks
- 31:50Speaker 1: Golden State. I mean a twenty five cent chance right
- 31:53Speaker 1: now is what they're pricing him at to make out
- 31:56Speaker 1: of the play in into the postseason. If Steph Curry's playing,
- 32:01Speaker 1: I mean, all bets are off as far as I'm concerned.
- 32:05Speaker 2: So here's the deal. Unlike the East, we know who
- 32:08Speaker 2: the top six are the last and and we pretty
- 32:11Speaker 2: much know who the four playing.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Teams are gonna be.
- 32:13Speaker 2: I would be surprised if Phoenix made a run and
- 32:17Speaker 2: off the top six. So you're taking a look, it's
- 32:19Speaker 2: a situation where you have it right now. Phoenix would
- 32:22Speaker 2: play the Clippers, winner gets the seven seed, and then
- 32:25Speaker 2: the loser would face the Golden State Portland winner. I
- 32:28Speaker 2: gotta be honest with you, just so I don't think
- 32:30Speaker 2: Portland is not winning two in the play term.
- 32:33Speaker 3: I would be shocked by that.
- 32:37Speaker 2: You know, we were writing off Golden State before the show.
- 32:40Speaker 2: But the more I think about it, just looking at
- 32:43Speaker 2: the price, Golden State needing to just win once yep,
- 32:50Speaker 2: if you like, okay, I would I would think, you know,
- 32:54Speaker 2: obviously with a healthy curry, I would like them to
- 32:56Speaker 2: beat Portland.
- 32:58Speaker 3: I think you're talking about.
- 32:59Speaker 2: A situation where they would then just need to beat
- 33:02Speaker 2: either Phoenix or the Clippers.
- 33:04Speaker 3: Yep.
- 33:05Speaker 2: I think Golden State, Yes, twenty five cents. I think
- 33:07Speaker 2: there actually is some value there because if they beat Portland,
- 33:10Speaker 2: obviously that price is gonna shoot way up.
- 33:13Speaker 1: That's kind of what I'm thinking at twenty five cent.
- 33:15Speaker 1: And again, they all indications are they're trying to get
- 33:18Speaker 1: him back out here this week, back add on to
- 33:21Speaker 1: the court, and if that's the case, I'm with you.
- 33:24Speaker 1: I mean, a shot at them winning and getting in,
- 33:28Speaker 1: you know, a couple of times here out of the plane.
- 33:30Speaker 1: I think there's value at twenty five cents. But he's
- 33:32Speaker 1: got to be in. Obviously, he's got to be in.
- 33:36Speaker 1: And I don't trust Orlando or Miami. I'm having a
- 33:38Speaker 1: hard time with that one, but I do trust the Clippers.
- 33:42Speaker 1: I do think the Clippers could be one and in here.
- 33:45Speaker 1: I think this new revamped Clippers team is a winner.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I think they're very dangerous and I think at this
- 33:51Speaker 1: point they are.
- 33:53Speaker 3: Going to be what the seven seeds.
- 33:55Speaker 1: It's kind of hard to believe that that's the case,
- 33:57Speaker 1: but I'm pretty sure that that's what we'd be looking
- 34:00Speaker 1: at here right.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it'd be the way the standings are now. And
- 34:05Speaker 2: I don't think Portland or Golden State overtakes the Clippers
- 34:08Speaker 2: here in the final week. Certainly not Golden State. They
- 34:11Speaker 2: have a three game manage there. Portland at one and
- 34:13Speaker 2: a half, I guess, is still in play. Let's just
- 34:16Speaker 2: for argument, say the Clippers finish in the top eight. Yes,
- 34:18Speaker 2: they would just need to win one play. They would
- 34:20Speaker 2: need to beat Phoenix to get these sevens. And the
- 34:23Speaker 2: Clippers are a lot like Charlotte over in the East Show,
- 34:26Speaker 2: where it was obviously a bad start to the season.
- 34:29Speaker 2: But the Clippers, I mean, if you go back, they
- 34:32Speaker 2: were ten games under five hundred in early January. Now
- 34:36Speaker 2: they're three games over there. I mean, they've played much
- 34:40Speaker 2: better than a team that the average team that's in
- 34:43Speaker 2: the eighth position, and it's conference are thirteen, that's what
- 34:46Speaker 2: twenty six and they're twenty six and thirteen over their
- 34:51Speaker 2: last thirty nine games. The Clippers, it's a.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Different team with health, with a Kawhi, with matharn now
- 34:58Speaker 1: Darius Garland is how this is a different Clipper team.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I still think they can catch Phoenix for that number
- 35:05Speaker 1: seven spot, and I think they would host then, and
- 35:08Speaker 1: they would host exactly correct. And then anytime you have
- 35:11Speaker 1: in a one off situation, Kawhi Leonard, I'm in and
- 35:15Speaker 1: right now the Clippers. Yeah, I mean they're chalking at
- 35:17Speaker 1: seventy two cents here, but that means if the Clippers
- 35:20Speaker 1: are in, are we one hunder present convinced Phoenix is in?
- 35:25Speaker 3: I mean, are we that convinced.
- 35:29Speaker 2: It goes back to our Golden State discussion, and it's
- 35:31Speaker 2: a matter of price.
- 35:32Speaker 3: I liked it.
- 35:33Speaker 2: The Clippers are obviously a better price just to you know,
- 35:36Speaker 2: to get in. I prefer the Clippers to Phoenix to
- 35:40Speaker 2: both both price and just handicapping wise, I think the
- 35:44Speaker 2: Clippers are more likely than Phoenix to get in the
- 35:46Speaker 2: final eight. And so yeah, I wouldn't want to bet
- 35:49Speaker 2: Phoenix at that current number.
- 35:50Speaker 3: I don't love.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Then I mean, but like the Tonto Yeah, yeah, because
- 35:58Speaker 2: I mean, but I like Toronto's no Price better than
- 36:02Speaker 2: Phoenix is no Price.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Yeah. I think Darren Brooks and Hell is huge. I
- 36:06Speaker 1: mean they have to be. We have to know exactly
- 36:09Speaker 1: what's going on. Not having him, not having Williams down
- 36:12Speaker 1: to stretch here has been a problem. But I still
- 36:15Speaker 1: think Phoenix is one of those teams that's absolutely overperformed
- 36:19Speaker 1: and wouldn't shock me if they get bounced early. So
- 36:22Speaker 1: at twenty three cents, there in the no market for
- 36:25Speaker 1: Phoenix not making it into the playoffs.
- 36:28Speaker 3: I can't see him making it.
- 36:30Speaker 1: I think there's a good shot they don't, especially if
- 36:32Speaker 1: Steph Curry's in either it is a good shot Phoenix
- 36:35Speaker 1: would be the odd man looking out here, even though
- 36:38Speaker 1: they'd be what the seventh or eighth seed. I think
- 36:40Speaker 1: there's a good shot they don't make it, especially with
- 36:44Speaker 1: Steph Curry being back in the pitching.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:47Speaker 2: The way I see this working is the Clippers beat Phoenix.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Nippers are the seven, and that it's a one that won.
- 36:53Speaker 2: In your in scenario, Phoenix and Golden State would play
- 36:56Speaker 2: to get the eighth seed. And again, if you've got
- 36:58Speaker 2: Golden State at twenty five ense you can always cash out, yeah,
- 37:03Speaker 2: or you can just bet Phoenix in that because you
- 37:06Speaker 2: probably Phoenix would not be a huge favorite against Golden State,
- 37:08Speaker 2: not even at hole in a one in a winner
- 37:12Speaker 2: in a must win situation.
- 37:14Speaker 1: And you know Steph would garner all of that public
- 37:17Speaker 1: support too as.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Well, So Phoenix would be a short favorite at home
- 37:21Speaker 2: in that situation for sure.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Good stuff there, and that is what makes these predictive
- 37:26Speaker 1: markets so much fun. Make sure you guys hit the
- 37:30Speaker 1: light button, subscribe button, make sure that you guys drop
- 37:34Speaker 1: us a comment below. Who do you think makes the
- 37:36Speaker 1: NBA Playoffs and who will be on the outside looking
- 37:41Speaker 1: in here? I think the East and the West have
- 37:43Speaker 1: some opportunities to fade a couple of teams, but I
- 37:46Speaker 1: think there's also some guarantees that we can just pencil
- 37:51Speaker 1: them into moving on into the postseason out of the
- 37:54Speaker 1: play in spot. All Right, I hate to do it,
- 37:56Speaker 1: but it is that time.
- 37:57Speaker 3: BP. It's time for some which is unfortunately we.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Got to look at the pres who is enjoying his
- 38:05Speaker 1: skiing apparently too much to join us. But that's okay.

- 39:14Speaker 1: Now would be the time to hop on board. Take
- 39:17Speaker 1: advantage of one of those deals, especially with the Major
- 39:20Speaker 1: League Baseball three days, I mean, it's four game series
- 39:23Speaker 1: now setting up here, starting on a Monday. All right, BP,
- 39:28Speaker 1: let's talk some NBA here. We got a couple of
- 39:31Speaker 1: games in the NBA rundown. I'll throw them out there.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Not a ton of games here, but some interesting lines,
- 39:38Speaker 1: to say the least here today BP and the NBA.
- 39:42Speaker 3: So why don't we.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Start with the ones that aren't as gross, one of
- 39:46Speaker 1: them being Boston and Atlanta Here where Atlanta s light
- 39:50Speaker 1: home favorite Celtics second of a back to back, nice
- 39:54Speaker 1: win on the road against Charlotte yesterday without Jalen Brown,
- 39:58Speaker 1: they are sort of locked into that number two spot
- 40:01Speaker 1: with Detroit. Against Detroit, I don't I am not sure
- 40:04Speaker 1: why they would not rest a Tatum or Brown's apparently
- 40:08Speaker 1: got some sort of achilles calf injury. I can't see
- 40:12Speaker 1: them laying it all out here to beat Atlanta in
- 40:14Speaker 1: this game here, do you no?
- 40:17Speaker 2: And there was some question whether Tatum was gonna play yesterday.
- 40:21Speaker 2: He wound up the market did the market did not
- 40:24Speaker 2: believe Tatum was gonna play. And I'm very upset about that, Joe,
- 40:27Speaker 2: because I wanted to play ball yesterday because Charlotte was
- 40:30Speaker 2: off just a crushing loss on Saturday filled alf for
- 40:34Speaker 2: where they blew a lead, and I didn't think they
- 40:36Speaker 2: would have much in the tank to Hornet. So I
- 40:38Speaker 2: was like, oh my goodness, Austin, you know, basically as
- 40:41Speaker 2: a pickham price. But then I was like, oh my god,
- 40:43Speaker 2: I don't know. No Tatum, no Brown. Yep, yeah, there's
- 40:47Speaker 2: that lot of that's a lot of cu and I
- 40:49Speaker 2: didn't want to bet to that uncertainy with Boston lo
- 40:51Speaker 2: and behold, Tatum plays and the self explode the Hornets out.
- 40:53Speaker 2: But yeah, I think there's a chance Tatum could rest.
- 40:55Speaker 2: The Brown injury seems more serious than is being let on.
- 40:59Speaker 3: I agree, at least.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Injury that's not great. In Atlanta, who I believe is
- 41:03Speaker 2: won twelve in a row at home, Joan Airey, I
- 41:07Speaker 2: has revenge for a loss in Boston. You know what
- 41:12Speaker 2: was that a Thursday or Friday? So yeah, the Hawks here,
- 41:15Speaker 2: I could see the Hawks emerging victorious. They need it
- 41:18Speaker 2: to stay in the top six. Whereas you mentioned Boston
- 41:21Speaker 2: likely going to be the two seed in the Eastern Conference.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Yeah, you got another one too.
- 41:26Speaker 1: The Pistons last night started telling everyone who wouldn't be
- 41:29Speaker 1: playing against the Thunder Thunder on the second of a
- 41:31Speaker 1: back to back, and but we knew last night the
- 41:35Speaker 1: Pistons we were likely weren't seeing. Durham, Duncan Robinson, Tobias Harris,
- 41:41Speaker 1: Austin Thompson also still questionable. So basically none of the
- 41:45Speaker 1: Pistons starters could be available for this game here, which
- 41:49Speaker 1: is why you saw this thing shoot up to thirteen
- 41:51Speaker 1: and a half.
- 41:52Speaker 3: We are starting to see.
- 41:53Speaker 1: A little bit of buyback now eleven and a half's
- 41:56Speaker 1: in the market twelve But I mean that's again. The
- 42:00Speaker 1: Thunder just took on the Knicks, which is not a
- 42:02Speaker 1: cake walk. But even the Pistons backups, I don't know
- 42:06Speaker 1: we trust in the Thunder to run away year.
- 42:10Speaker 2: No, I mean that was a miss. Look I have
- 42:12Speaker 2: the Knicks last night against the Thunder. It's a two
- 42:15Speaker 2: point game with a couple of minutes left. They wind
- 42:17Speaker 2: up losing, and that sucked, to be honest with you,
- 42:20Speaker 2: So I'm not running to bet ok see here, even though, Look,
- 42:23Speaker 2: the Troit's been undervalued ever since the Cunningham injury. Everyone
- 42:26Speaker 2: thought the Pistons were gonna fall flat on their face, Joe.
- 42:28Speaker 2: I know Minnesota didn't have Edwards either on Saturday night,
- 42:33Speaker 2: but Detroit went to Minnesota and dominated, YEP, a game
- 42:36Speaker 2: where both teams were missing their best player, So yeah,
- 42:39Speaker 2: I would. I'm not running to lay this year with
- 42:41Speaker 2: the thunder, especially on the second night of a back
- 42:43Speaker 2: to back.
- 42:45Speaker 3: I agree with you there.
- 42:47Speaker 1: All the other games are just absurd prices except.
- 42:51Speaker 3: For Miami and Philadelphia.
- 42:53Speaker 1: But yeah, I have never seen a Philadelphia injury report
- 42:58Speaker 1: have that few and it there's one name on it,
- 43:01Speaker 1: and that's h Johnny Broom who had surgery and he's
- 43:05Speaker 1: never playing this year. So I just I don't there
- 43:08Speaker 1: is nobody, which means they'll have everybody available. And isn't
- 43:12Speaker 1: it the definition of don't catch a falling knife? That's
- 43:15Speaker 1: what Miami is right now. They can't stop a nosebleed folks.
- 43:20Speaker 1: To lose to Indiana, to give up eighteen threes like
- 43:24Speaker 1: they did, Yes, it's no. This is not a team
- 43:27Speaker 1: I want anything to do with. Philadelphia could very well
- 43:30Speaker 1: be an interesting bet looking into the future as well,
- 43:33Speaker 1: now that they're healthy.
- 43:35Speaker 2: Yeah, Philadelphia obviously wants to get into the top six,
- 43:39Speaker 2: avoid the playing ternment. I believe there a are on
- 43:43Speaker 2: the wrong side of the tie breaker with Atlanta. I
- 43:46Speaker 2: think I think they got it. I think they were
- 43:47Speaker 2: swept in the season series by Atlanta. Joe, correct me
- 43:50Speaker 2: if I'm wrong. We were talking about six they were
- 43:54Speaker 2: swept by the Hawks, Okay, I wanted to make sure.
- 43:56Speaker 2: I thought I said that earlier today. So look, they've
- 43:59Speaker 2: got every reason to care Phildelphia. Miami has every recent
- 44:01Speaker 2: care but look, wins of change. You mentioned the Sixers
- 44:04Speaker 2: all of a sudden at the right time, Miami. This
- 44:09Speaker 2: is a horrible, horrible spot for Miami. I mean, I
- 44:12Speaker 2: would like to say they bounce back from an outright
- 44:14Speaker 2: losses an eight and a half point favorite to Indiana
- 44:16Speaker 2: the game you brought up. But this is the third
- 44:19Speaker 2: game in four days. Yeah for Miami if one just
- 44:23Speaker 2: once in their last eight games. Overall, it's going the
- 44:27Speaker 2: wrong way in your neck.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Of the woods, Joe for the heat.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Yeah not don't catch a falling knife. It would be
- 44:33Speaker 1: my best bet. Avoid it like at all costs. And
- 44:37Speaker 1: I'm not running to the window to La seventeen and
- 44:39Speaker 1: a half with Cleveland in altitude either.
- 44:42Speaker 3: No, why died it?
- 44:43Speaker 2: Bet their team total. But it's one hundred and thirty
- 44:45Speaker 2: and a half.
- 44:46Speaker 3: Yeah. No, it's like you can't do that either. No,
- 44:49Speaker 3: absolutely not.
- 44:51Speaker 1: All right, we got some major League baseball games here again,
- 44:54Speaker 1: a big card. We'll run down a couple of these.
- 44:57Speaker 1: Do the Marlins go four and oh.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Against the White Sox?
- 45:01Speaker 1: I mean, start to see Chris Paddock for Miami at home.
- 45:06Speaker 1: But listen, I think the White Sox they could very
- 45:09Speaker 1: well get one here. I don't know that I trust
- 45:12Speaker 1: the Marlins to rattle all four straight here. Maybe the
- 45:15Speaker 1: White Sox who scored some runs against Milwaukee, they just
- 45:18Speaker 1: couldn't stop Milwaukee from scoring.
- 45:21Speaker 2: Yes, Davis, don't call me Drew Martin on the mound
- 45:24Speaker 2: for the White Sox. The White Sox were a team
- 45:25Speaker 2: that I expected to improve this year. I thought Miami's
- 45:30Speaker 2: wind total was a little low, but you mentioned three. Yeah,
- 45:34Speaker 2: I mean, I don't want to bet Miami in this
- 45:35Speaker 2: price range. I mean they're up north to minus one forty.
- 45:38Speaker 2: Now that that's not the price range you want to
- 45:40Speaker 2: bet Miami. So that's White Sox are passed for me.
- 45:42Speaker 1: There playoffs going for the Mets taking on the Cardinals.
- 45:46Speaker 1: I mentioned the Cardinals bullpen being horrific, but they did
- 45:50Speaker 1: score some runs against Tampa. The Mets two and one
- 45:54Speaker 1: lost that game yesterday to the Pirates, but Claire Ops
- 45:57Speaker 1: has actually been pretty good.
- 45:59Speaker 3: Lay he going for the Cards.
- 46:01Speaker 1: I feel like an over is in store for this
- 46:03Speaker 1: game with the Mets and Cardinals.
- 46:05Speaker 3: What do you think? Yeah?
- 46:07Speaker 2: I think this is the total and if you like
- 46:08Speaker 2: the old, I mean it's juiced at eight and a
- 46:10Speaker 2: half right now, pretty the way the way it's probably
- 46:13Speaker 2: it looks like we might this total might close at
- 46:15Speaker 2: the key number of nine.
- 46:17Speaker 3: That's what I'm thinking there. Giants and Padres.
- 46:19Speaker 1: By the way, at Petco, Roupe versus Walker Bueller is
- 46:23Speaker 1: still pitching in Major League Baseball, which is kind of
- 46:25Speaker 1: hard to believe. And he's a pitcher now for the
- 46:28Speaker 1: Padres who listen to Giants. Neither of these teams started
- 46:33Speaker 1: off the season greats. But can the Giants get enough
- 46:36Speaker 1: offense at Petco to overcome what Walker Bueller might might
- 46:42Speaker 1: not give them, which is I don't know, any sort
- 46:45Speaker 1: of lack of runs?
- 46:46Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't.
- 46:47Speaker 1: To me, it would be Padres or passed. But what
- 46:50Speaker 1: were you thinking here? It's a coin flip game.
- 46:52Speaker 2: I actually like the Giants in the first five. This
- 46:55Speaker 2: was This was zen andized best bet on the morning
- 46:59Speaker 2: wager today. The Giants obviously were just did nothing offensively
- 47:03Speaker 2: against the Yankees one in three games. You mentioned Walker
- 47:07Speaker 2: Buehler now pitching for the Padres. Tough break for Walker Ruler,
- 47:11Speaker 2: because you know what team he has pitched the best
- 47:13Speaker 2: against in his career. It would be the Padres. He
- 47:16Speaker 2: can't get to face them, or because he's now he's
- 47:19Speaker 2: now wearing the San Diego uniform. So yeah, I think
- 47:22Speaker 2: the Giants to me, if the offense is to break out,
- 47:26Speaker 2: it's early against Bueller, So let's go first five money line.
- 47:29Speaker 2: It's a relatively cheap price, and it's interesting too, Joe.
- 47:32Speaker 2: The Giants are a favorite first five full game underdog,
- 47:36Speaker 2: so we've got the tie in our You know, if
- 47:39Speaker 2: it's tied after five, we'll.
- 47:41Speaker 3: Take a push.
- 47:41Speaker 2: But yeah, I like the Giants to be ahead after
- 47:43Speaker 2: five innings of that game.
- 47:44Speaker 1: I'll throw one more out there late game tonight, forty
- 47:49Speaker 1: three year old justin Verland are on the mound for
- 47:51Speaker 1: Detroit taking on Soroka.
- 47:54Speaker 3: Who you know is he? I don't know?
- 47:57Speaker 1: Is he throwing harder than ninety miles an hour. Kind
- 48:00Speaker 1: of crazy what happened to him after the injury? And
- 48:02Speaker 1: then you know, this guy had with the Braves looked
- 48:06Speaker 1: like he was like a young Verlander, but the injuries,
- 48:10Speaker 1: the surgeries just have not worked out in his favor.
- 48:13Speaker 1: But all indications are Arizona thinks, uh, he's on the
- 48:17Speaker 1: mend here and it could be a good season. But
- 48:19Speaker 1: they're all and three to start the year, Tigers two
- 48:22Speaker 1: and one. How much are we getting from Verlander? It
- 48:25Speaker 1: feels like an over to me.
- 48:26Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 48:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't want to bet on either starter. Is
- 48:30Speaker 2: what it boils down, So I mean, what you're gonna
- 48:32Speaker 2: have here, it's which starter is gonna blow up? And
- 48:36Speaker 2: then you know it goes into the hands of the
- 48:37Speaker 2: respective bullpens. So I don't know. I'm probably staying away.
- 48:41Speaker 2: As a matter of fact, I can tell you I'm
- 48:43Speaker 2: standing this game because look, I just don't like either starter,
- 48:46Speaker 2: and I'm not obviously betting on a team where I
- 48:48Speaker 2: don't like the starting pitcher.
- 48:50Speaker 1: I agree with you, yep, all right, and one final
- 48:52Speaker 1: one here for best bets tonight, guys.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Whoops, don't mean to put that one on there. You
- 48:57Speaker 3: don't know how that happened.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Let me give you some best bets here tonight, guys,
- 49:00Speaker 1: I got one Major League Baseball one, and I'll throw
- 49:04Speaker 1: one out there for you. In the NBA, it's Sunday
- 49:08Speaker 1: Night Baseball, which means it is time to fade those
- 49:12Speaker 1: teams that have to that have to travel no less
- 49:15Speaker 1: after a Sunday night game, and that would mean the
- 49:18Speaker 1: Guardians on the road taking on the Dodgers here tonight,
- 49:22Speaker 1: Mesick versus Tzaki. For the Dodgers, I'm not laying the
- 49:27Speaker 1: run in a head. I don't like laying running a
- 49:29Speaker 1: half with a home team since they only get up
- 49:30Speaker 1: at eight, but I'll lay it in the first five
- 49:33Speaker 1: given the fact that I know they're going to back.
- 49:35Speaker 3: At least in the bottom of the fifth.
- 49:37Speaker 1: Ending here, it feels it's a tough spot for the
- 49:39Speaker 1: Guardians here. I think Dodgers jump out early and often
- 49:43Speaker 1: here on the Guardians, who well, didn't score very much
- 49:46Speaker 1: last night either, No.
- 49:49Speaker 2: And they're lots of Seattle. They didn't do anything offensively.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Look if Chase the latter's not hitting home runs. I
- 49:54Speaker 2: don't love this Guardians lineup at all this year. So
- 49:57Speaker 2: that's that's not a bad jumping.
- 49:58Speaker 3: No, I like that one.
- 50:00Speaker 1: I'll give you one final one here in the association.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna go to that Atlanta in Celtics game. I
- 50:06Speaker 1: think this total has gotten a little too low here.
- 50:09Speaker 1: They just played a couple of days ago. One oh
- 50:11Speaker 1: nine to one oh two I believe was that score.
- 50:14Speaker 1: But you know that was a whole lot of a
- 50:17Speaker 1: whole lot of Celtics effort on a defensive side.
- 50:20Speaker 3: Nobody sat out.
- 50:21Speaker 1: I just don't see the Celtics quid I believe is
- 50:24Speaker 1: also possibly sitting this one out. I could see Atlanta
- 50:28Speaker 1: at home, pushing pace here a little bit, getting some
- 50:31Speaker 1: points on this board. I think up and over with
- 50:34Speaker 1: the Hawks and the Celtics. I think everyone thinks Celtics
- 50:38Speaker 1: automatic under. I think they're gonna be missing some pieces
- 50:41Speaker 1: here tonight, So I don't mind the over in this spot.
- 50:44Speaker 3: VP.
- 50:45Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's the way the market's going as well,
- 50:47Speaker 2: So yeah, I would co sign that as well. But
- 50:51Speaker 2: I think I think I lean maybe Atlanta's team total
- 50:54Speaker 2: over if we think, I mean, if the Hawks are
- 50:55Speaker 2: to win this earlier discussion, if the Hawks are to
- 50:58Speaker 2: prevail here, chances are they don't do so. By you know,
- 51:03Speaker 2: not scoring a ton, so I mean team total here
- 51:06Speaker 2: on the Hawks is sitting at one eleven and a half.
- 51:10Speaker 3: Yeah, I think they can get there. Love it.
