- 0:28Speaker 1: Apostolic ministry is ecumenical.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Flame, Amen, all right.
- 0:39Speaker 3: In fact, I had to beg pastor to help me
- 0:42Speaker 3: get an ankerchief because what I want to quickly discuss
- 0:47Speaker 3: my heart is I can't help it. And in this
- 0:53Speaker 3: moment I like us to be very very attentive because
- 0:57Speaker 3: we're about to break out in an unusual way. And
- 1:03Speaker 3: permit me to say that it's not a crime for
- 1:05Speaker 3: a man to be emotional. Emotion is not a weakness.
- 1:09Speaker 3: It depends on how it is expressed. So the subtual
- 1:14Speaker 3: assumption that in men's meeting, there's nothing you can say
- 1:17Speaker 3: to a man or teach a man that can get
- 1:20Speaker 3: the man to call of reflection or two men don't
- 1:24Speaker 3: get drenched and the Holy goos because of masculinity and
- 1:28Speaker 3: all that that's not true.
- 1:30Speaker 2: That wall is not from God.
- 1:31Speaker 3: So I want us to pull down our walls and
- 1:35Speaker 3: become vulnerable in God's presence, to be helped and strengthened
- 1:41Speaker 3: this morning, and then get men to that.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Quickly.
- 1:45Speaker 3: I want us to check a passage of scripture together,
- 1:51Speaker 3: the book of Exodus, chapter number one, Exodus chapter number one,
- 1:58Speaker 3: and I want us to look at something. I'm a
- 2:01Speaker 3: king made an observation. We read Extradus chapter number one.
- 2:09Speaker 3: We'll started reading from verse six. I am not one
- 2:16Speaker 3: who goes to meetings with his books, and I'm not
- 2:20Speaker 3: even saying there's anything wrong with that. But I wrote
- 2:23Speaker 3: a book last year. It's almost about a thousand pages,
- 2:28Speaker 3: titled A Childhood that Wants More Things. It's a book
- 2:35Speaker 3: written as a guide for the continent of Africa to
- 2:39Speaker 3: break out. And it's one of my passions, one of
- 2:43Speaker 3: my body not just that the church will arise, but
- 2:49Speaker 3: that the continent as a whole will emerge and mediocrity
- 2:54Speaker 3: will not be associated with the color of our scheme,
- 2:58Speaker 3: and in our lifetime will see that happen. So the
- 3:02Speaker 3: application of what I want to show you, it depends
- 3:06Speaker 3: on where you are. You can apply it in different fielding, ministry,
- 3:09Speaker 3: in your business, in family, in personal life. The application
- 3:14Speaker 3: is wide. So I want us to listen carefully. Extras.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Chapter number one will started reading from Ver six. And
- 3:21Speaker 3: Joseph died, and all his brethren and all that generation,
- 3:32Speaker 3: and the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly
- 3:38Speaker 3: and multiplied and waxed, exceeding mighty, and the land was
- 3:45Speaker 3: filled with them. Now there arose up a new king
- 3:50Speaker 3: over Egypt, with you, not Joseph. And that's why a
- 3:53Speaker 3: man must do modern existence. He must leave legacy behind.
- 3:58Speaker 3: There will always be kings that will not recognize Joseph.
- 4:02Speaker 3: There might be a time that the church celebrated Joseph
- 4:05Speaker 3: for being the only man in the palace. If that
- 4:08Speaker 3: is not changed, the king will arise again that will
- 4:11Speaker 3: not recognize that. One of the best things you can
- 4:14Speaker 3: leave behind is an extension of yourself. And that's beyond
- 4:18Speaker 3: children's legacy. So a king grows who didn't care. So
- 4:23Speaker 3: when you read scriptures like a king grows that knows
- 4:26Speaker 3: not Joseph.
- 4:27Speaker 2: That a deliberate editing of history.
- 4:31Speaker 3: That if our history is coined in a way that
- 4:33Speaker 3: they do rescue those in terms of famine, that will
- 4:37Speaker 3: giving them an age. Let's say, did them out of history?
- 4:40Speaker 3: That's what that means. Verse nine, the Bible says, and
- 4:46Speaker 3: it's said onto his people, be all. The children of
- 4:49Speaker 3: Israel are more and mightier than we. That's that's that's
- 4:55Speaker 3: very powerful. They are not just more in terms of numbers,
- 4:59Speaker 3: they might. First thing, he says, come on, let us
- 5:06Speaker 3: deal wisely with them less they multiply.
- 5:11Speaker 2: And it come to pass.
- 5:14Speaker 3: That when they're folet out any war, they join also
- 5:19Speaker 3: what our enemies and fight against us. So get them
- 5:21Speaker 3: out of the land. So they have an observation. Number one,
- 5:27Speaker 3: they have more might. What that means is that when
- 5:30Speaker 3: it comes to level of alertness. There's something called level
- 5:33Speaker 3: of alertness military alertness. If something happens and there's a war,
- 5:37Speaker 3: they can respond faster.
- 5:39Speaker 2: They have more might.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Secondly, they are more in terms of numerical strength. How
- 5:47Speaker 3: do you ecolonize people who have more might? How do
- 5:52Speaker 3: you e colonize people who are more than you in numbers?
- 5:56Speaker 3: He said, let's deal wisely. I must underst that's the
- 6:01Speaker 3: force of strategy is more than the force in the gun.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Those who are strategic will humble those who have guns
- 6:09Speaker 3: again and again it's more powerful. So he said, let's
- 6:12Speaker 3: deal wisely with them and verse level. Look at what
- 6:15Speaker 3: they did. Let therefore they set over them task masters
- 6:19Speaker 3: to afflict them with their burdiness, and the build for
- 6:23Speaker 3: pharerh treasure cities put on and a rameses very simple.
- 6:33Speaker 2: How do we shop? Deal out the we shop?
- 6:36Speaker 3: You get people who have numerical strengths more than us
- 6:41Speaker 3: than those who have more might than us.
- 6:44Speaker 2: They said, there's a.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Principle if we can afflict them, something will die in them.
- 6:51Speaker 3: So what affliction does is that it takes a we
- 6:55Speaker 3: might from the numbers and it works. And that's the
- 7:00Speaker 3: curriculum of Egypt. Pharaoh set a structure. And it's still
- 7:04Speaker 3: happening today that you will be amazed that a country
- 7:11Speaker 3: that is as mighty as Nigeria many times still important
- 7:16Speaker 3: tooth pick that a country with the strength that we
- 7:21Speaker 3: have as a nation still have to import boxes. Some
- 7:27Speaker 3: of you are wearing boxes as we speak. I'm not
- 7:31Speaker 3: perfectly saying yes, say it would be amazing. I want
- 7:47Speaker 3: to ask a question who decided that did or who
- 7:51Speaker 3: made the rule that suit is corporate when you are
- 8:00Speaker 3: conquered in your mind, you treat what is yours as secondary.
- 8:08Speaker 3: When you are conquered in your mind, you don't trust
- 8:11Speaker 3: what you produce because you've been humbled to see us
- 8:18Speaker 3: as inferior.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Permit me.
- 8:22Speaker 3: So they afflicted them till there was no more strength
- 8:31Speaker 3: in them. And that went on for years, and the
- 8:38Speaker 3: Israelite where languishing until we got to Extodus chapter number three. Now,
- 8:47Speaker 3: if you read, let me give you a bit of
- 8:49Speaker 3: a breakdown. If you read the Exodus chapter number two,
- 8:53Speaker 3: you see that God began.
- 8:57Speaker 2: The process of their deliverance.
- 9:00Speaker 3: For instance, in that Extrados at number two forty years later,
- 9:05Speaker 3: which is that three hundred and ninety eight year Moses
- 9:13Speaker 3: saw an Egyptian beating a Jew, and he rescued the
- 9:19Speaker 3: Jew and killed the Egyptian.
- 9:24Speaker 2: So he came back.
- 9:26Speaker 3: I love the way it is placed in the Book
- 9:28Speaker 3: of Act The Bible said four eight thoughts that the
- 9:32Speaker 3: Israelites will know that God will rescue them to him, but.
- 9:37Speaker 2: They did not know.
- 9:38Speaker 3: So he met the boy, he met two Jews fighting.
- 9:42Speaker 3: You see, ones, you have been passed through the curriculum
- 9:47Speaker 3: of Egypt. You will leave your oppressors and kill yourselves
- 9:53Speaker 3: you will held those who still and celebrate and fight. No,
- 9:58Speaker 3: so you hail those who still and fight those that
- 10:01Speaker 3: you are suffering together. And that's all we do well
- 10:03Speaker 3: in Africa. If somebody is stealing and drives by and
- 10:08Speaker 3: throw money in their long live the king. But you
- 10:13Speaker 3: look at your brother who's stolen bread because he's hungry,
- 10:17Speaker 3: and you break his head and he dies and we
- 10:21Speaker 3: the cycle continues. So Moses was shocked to see you
- 10:25Speaker 3: have been oppressed and now you're fighting yourself. And he
- 10:28Speaker 3: tried to separate them. Then one boy said, who made
- 10:32Speaker 3: you a ruler over us?
- 10:34Speaker 2: Oh?
- 10:35Speaker 3: You want to kill me like you killed the Egyptian yesterday.
- 10:40Speaker 3: So Moses ran, and they ran away for another forty years,
- 10:45Speaker 3: and their deliverance waited for forty years, not because the
- 10:50Speaker 3: entire nation spoke, but because one guy spoke. And the
- 10:56Speaker 3: guy will go back and join them in crying, and
- 11:00Speaker 3: the people will not know why deliverance was taking time.
- 11:04Speaker 2: God could not move on just because one man ran.
- 11:09Speaker 3: The question is why couldn't God just start a new
- 11:13Speaker 3: process of deliverance with just one of the easier light
- 11:16Speaker 3: is simple. Any one who had gone through the curriculum
- 11:22Speaker 3: that Pharaoh passed them through in Egypt could not be
- 11:26Speaker 3: used to.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Listen.
- 11:29Speaker 3: A man can be useful and not usable. Useful in
- 11:36Speaker 3: the sense that we might find some utility, not usable
- 11:40Speaker 3: in the sense that there is no capacity for this
- 11:44Speaker 3: specific task. As far as the rescue from Egypt towards concern,
- 11:50Speaker 3: it was either Moses or they will have to be
- 11:53Speaker 3: another child that is born and raised in the pallers
- 11:56Speaker 3: of Pharaoh.
- 11:58Speaker 2: And that's why.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Many times I beg people that there is a way
- 12:01Speaker 3: you'll be offended by Nigeria, that you will not be
- 12:04Speaker 3: relevant to solve the problems of Nigeria. You are too
- 12:09Speaker 3: hungry to be intelligent, and that's what is happening. You
- 12:15Speaker 3: are too hungry to be strategic. Sometimes when you look
- 12:19Speaker 3: around social media, you see anger, but hungers never change.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Inny territory, anger has no economical value unless it is
- 12:28Speaker 3: channeled appropriately. That those who have sense will now lead
- 12:37Speaker 3: and letters who are hunger, be burning, angry, be bonning
- 12:39Speaker 3: behind Pharaoh damaged them. They were standing, what we're dead
- 12:51Speaker 3: when Pharaoh looked at them, they are lights in numbers,
- 12:56Speaker 3: stating when they looked at themselves, they said ware like
- 12:59Speaker 3: dress pass Have you ever seen someone that you look
- 13:05Speaker 3: up to, only.
- 13:07Speaker 2: To be surprised by the way the person sees himself.
- 13:11Speaker 2: What died?
- 13:14Speaker 3: What did you go through that changed the way you
- 13:17Speaker 3: see yourself? In Genesis chapter number three, when I heard
- 13:26Speaker 3: them and Eve heard the voice of God walking in
- 13:30Speaker 3: the cool of the evening in the garden, the Bible said,
- 13:33Speaker 3: they hid themselves and covered themselves with fig leaves, and
- 13:37Speaker 3: God called out of the garden. I said, Adam, we
- 13:41Speaker 3: had And what did he say? We heard your voice,
- 13:48Speaker 3: and we hid ourselves, for we are naked. God did
- 13:55Speaker 3: not say, what did you do? God did not say,
- 14:03Speaker 3: what sin did you commit? God said, who told you
- 14:11Speaker 3: every definition of yourself you have? Someone told you, who
- 14:17Speaker 3: told you that you can't Who told you that you
- 14:22Speaker 3: may not live long, Who told you that you will
- 14:27Speaker 3: not break the patterns, Who told you that certain things
- 14:32Speaker 3: are not for you. I remember when I went for
- 14:35Speaker 3: my NYC posting. I was posted to a college of education, college.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Of else to serve.
- 14:49Speaker 3: And when I got to my ppa, I got there
- 14:52Speaker 3: with a young lady who studied by chemistry. So the
- 14:58Speaker 3: provost or whatever case, and gave us a paper, and
- 15:03Speaker 3: he said, write.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Out the list of courses that you could take.
- 15:07Speaker 3: So I wrote down eight courses that I could take,
- 15:10Speaker 3: and I saw the girl looking like she was writing,
- 15:13Speaker 3: but I'm observed she was not writing. So when the
- 15:16Speaker 3: man came back into the office, the girl went on
- 15:19Speaker 3: her knees and began to cry and said, I don't
- 15:23Speaker 3: mind washing toilet, I don't mind cleaning the chess, I
- 15:28Speaker 3: don't mind doing anything. Please, I can't take any course.
- 15:34Speaker 3: The man said why, She said, I managed to graduate,
- 15:39Speaker 3: so I don't mind being a killer.
- 15:42Speaker 2: And I was looking.
- 15:44Speaker 3: At the very beautiful girl until she spoke, there's the
- 15:50Speaker 3: way soon will be fine until you hear the person talk.
- 15:55Speaker 3: I'm wondering, don't be gads, this what have I got
- 16:03Speaker 3: myself into?
- 16:06Speaker 2: Well? Where teenagers learning two?
- 16:14Speaker 3: You know? Just we boys being boys learning to talk
- 16:20Speaker 3: to girls. After I said, on Sunday we'll sit outside.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Then about four of us when the girl passed away,
- 16:30Speaker 3: are you go to And in the day we could
- 16:33Speaker 3: try at least six girls each just talk just thus
- 16:37Speaker 3: some stupid things. So there was this particular girl that
- 16:41Speaker 3: was just passing and just by.
- 16:42Speaker 2: I want us to talk, but they said me where
- 16:44Speaker 2: you go? So I went to meet the girl and
- 16:48Speaker 2: I was talking.
- 16:49Speaker 3: That was when I learned that anywhere you find yourself
- 16:53Speaker 3: when you talk, lady president, talk back, so that at
- 16:56Speaker 3: least you know. So I was talking to the girl,
- 17:05Speaker 3: and as long as she was mute, she was beautiful.
- 17:07Speaker 3: So she spoke, I said, my mother, not they are
- 17:13Speaker 3: a loud ah?
- 17:19Speaker 2: What have I got myself into? You say, man told
- 17:30Speaker 2: that can answer till he speaks, and you're wondering what died?
- 17:37Speaker 2: Didn't you? You know, trauma is real and words are powerful.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Sometimes one of those things we had growing up, many
- 17:54Speaker 3: never recover. Do you really think you can have? Man
- 18:00Speaker 3: wont do anything? And those from policamos? Someone said, do
- 18:07Speaker 3: you think that you can be better than my children?
- 18:12Speaker 3: Do you think you can keep it home? Do you
- 18:17Speaker 3: think you can't do better.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Than your father?
- 18:21Speaker 3: And sometimes we run with those things. We look mighty,
- 18:26Speaker 3: but the mighty is dead. We look strong, but the
- 18:31Speaker 3: strength is diminishing when you look at those and face.
- 18:36Speaker 3: While he doesn't look like there's any issue till the
- 18:38Speaker 3: man speaks, and you're wondering, what changed, what happened to
- 18:46Speaker 3: your mind? What did you see? What did you hear?
- 18:50Speaker 3: Who said it? Who is it that says a thing?
- 18:53Speaker 3: When God has not spoken? Who commanded it to be so?
- 18:58Speaker 3: Who told you that? Who you are?
- 19:00Speaker 2: Who told you that? To end?
- 19:08Speaker 3: What's a powerful the shape our lives in very serious ways.
- 19:19Speaker 3: While I was starting out in school, I couldn't learn.
- 19:25Speaker 3: I had a learning disorder. I couldn't cope in class.
- 19:32Speaker 3: I sit down in class and numbers who'll be dancing?
- 19:39Speaker 3: I hated the idea of mathematics, and I will ax myself.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Who is the ideos that I invented mathematics? Why would
- 19:48Speaker 3: anybody want to do?
- 19:49Speaker 2: Dis orbish?
- 19:52Speaker 3: One time we had in secondary school, we had a
- 19:55Speaker 3: joint to Hell or whatever, and there was a girl
- 20:04Speaker 3: in that place that I was crushing on. So when
- 20:07Speaker 3: the as question, I thought I could talk just to.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Impress the gate. I didn't know my answer. I was wrong.
- 20:11Speaker 3: You know when you answer is about eighteen points? Something
- 20:15Speaker 3: about the correct zero points there? Something you know? I
- 20:21Speaker 3: won't be out the day when I arrived at decent
- 20:22Speaker 3: day phone, so I spoke and the teacher said, familiars,
- 20:35Speaker 3: it's only good facially is poor and paper. Something died
- 20:42Speaker 3: in me after he said those words. I would later
- 20:46Speaker 3: meet him many years after, and he couldn't recognize me.
- 20:51Speaker 3: But I will never forget his face. And I said, sir,
- 20:54Speaker 3: don't you remember me? He said no. The reason why
- 21:02Speaker 3: those who have talked you down will struggle to remember
- 21:06Speaker 3: you is because you have changed, And the reason why
- 21:12Speaker 3: you will still be able to remember them is because
- 21:15Speaker 3: they've not changed much. Anywhay we find ourselves, let's try
- 21:22Speaker 3: and do good to people. Only God knows the future.
- 21:28Speaker 3: But anyways, thank God for his insults. It brought out
- 21:34Speaker 3: something in me that will change my life forever. It
- 21:38Speaker 3: matters what we do with adversity. Because of the exposure
- 21:52Speaker 3: of what Pharaoh did to them, they might die. Let
- 22:02Speaker 3: me show you a scripture turn over. I was the Extradust,
- 22:07Speaker 3: chapter number tivity. Let's the first one. Now. Moses kept
- 22:31Speaker 3: the flock of Jetro, his father in Lord, the priest
- 22:33Speaker 3: of Midian. And he led the flock into the backside
- 22:36Speaker 3: of the desert and came to the mountain of God
- 22:39Speaker 3: even to hurry. Yes, and the young angel of the
- 22:43Speaker 3: Lord appeered onto him in a flame of fire out
- 22:46Speaker 3: of the midst of the bush. And looked, and the
- 22:47Speaker 3: old the bush burned with fire, and the bush was
- 22:50Speaker 3: not consumed. Yes, And Moses said, I will now turn
- 22:54Speaker 3: aside and see this great side. Why the bush is
- 22:57Speaker 3: not burned. Yes, And when the law also that he
- 23:00Speaker 3: turned aside to see, God called onto him out of
- 23:04Speaker 3: the midst of the bush and said Moses, Moses, And
- 23:08Speaker 3: he said, yeah, am I Yes, And he said, drawn
- 23:13Speaker 3: not nigh either, pull of thy shoes from thy feat,
- 23:17Speaker 3: for the place where on thou standings is holy ground. Moreover,
- 23:23Speaker 3: he said, I am the God of thy Father, the
- 23:26Speaker 3: God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob.
- 23:31Speaker 2: And Moses in his face, for he was afraid to
- 23:33Speaker 2: look upon God.
- 23:34Speaker 3: And the Lord said, I have seen the affliction of
- 23:38Speaker 3: my people, which I agit and hid their cry by
- 23:43Speaker 3: reason of their task masters.
- 23:45Speaker 2: For I know their sorrows.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Yes, And I am come to deliver them out of
- 23:52Speaker 3: the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them out
- 23:56Speaker 3: of the land onto a good land and a large
- 23:59Speaker 3: onto a land flowing with milk and honey, onto a
- 24:03Speaker 3: place of the Canaanite, the Ethite, the Hammorhites, the Perizides,
- 24:08Speaker 3: and the Evite, and the Jebusites. Now therefore, behold, the
- 24:14Speaker 3: cry of the children of Israel is common to me.
- 24:19Speaker 3: And I've seen the oppression where with the Egyptian a person. Now,
- 24:22Speaker 3: I'm going to continue that text. Whenever I read this scripture,
- 24:27Speaker 3: it seemed to me like God was coming for the
- 24:34Speaker 3: Israel in you. Let me explain. Have you ever found
- 24:41Speaker 3: yourself in a situation that there's someone that you used
- 24:45Speaker 3: to know, but some our life took you in different
- 24:50Speaker 3: directions and before ten years, twenty years, and you've been
- 24:55Speaker 3: longing to meet the person again, remembering the good old day.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Have we been there before only to meet the person?
- 25:06Speaker 3: And in the first conversation you were asking what happened
- 25:09Speaker 3: to my friend? It looks as though the will of
- 25:13Speaker 3: life took them backwards. Although the person is in your presence,
- 25:18Speaker 3: but the person you used to know is now gone.
- 25:23Speaker 3: God was coming for Israel, but what he meant was different.
- 25:31Speaker 3: All this Israel could now do was cry, they are
- 25:35Speaker 3: afflicting us, doing this to us. They're doing that when
- 25:43Speaker 3: things change, similar to what we're doing in Africa. Bad leadership,
- 25:49Speaker 3: no employment, no job opportunities, the youth are suffering. And
- 25:55Speaker 3: I was asking a question in recent times, permit my
- 26:02Speaker 3: knowledge of history, I can't remember precise in the weather
- 26:06Speaker 3: nineteen fifty something that some young individuals sat together coming
- 26:15Speaker 3: from I was amongst them and some Pan Africanists and
- 26:22Speaker 3: decided that they will use their mind and emssipate Africa.
- 26:28Speaker 3: They were young. In the space of fifteen twenty years,
- 26:33Speaker 3: they completed the task. And now you look at the
- 26:36Speaker 3: Africa now.
- 26:39Speaker 2: And all.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Young girls do online is shake bombon and boys celebrate
- 26:49Speaker 3: those who are smoking wheat, And you are asking what
- 26:53Speaker 3: happened to the Africa? Will this cont in and rise again?
- 27:04Speaker 3: What happened to the minds? The quality thinkers, not just
- 27:09Speaker 3: those who have voice and anger. Quality thinkers, those who
- 27:13Speaker 3: are bold to take bold steps to build in those
- 27:17Speaker 3: tries to change things, not complainers.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Those areother days of media. What happened to us? Affliction
- 27:28Speaker 2: kills might.
- 27:33Speaker 3: It takes people to a point where they can no
- 27:35Speaker 3: longer see the possibility of doing anything for themselves.
- 27:40Speaker 2: We're the masses, the people. We are suffering. We the people.
- 27:47Speaker 2: You can't change it by changing your own life.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Affliction takes away mind Israel that God used to know
- 28:03Speaker 3: was now dead. And the entire scripture from Ectudos sertain
- 28:12Speaker 3: number three throughout the book of Exudus numbers will be
- 28:18Speaker 3: God's attempt to redeem a people that the generation who
- 28:24Speaker 3: went through that soeign will prove to be irredeemable. We
- 28:30Speaker 3: saw God tried in the wilderness and filled. He said,
- 28:34Speaker 3: God failed, Yes he did. One time he called Moses
- 28:38Speaker 3: and said, you know what, let's wipe out these guys
- 28:44Speaker 3: and start something new with you. Moses said, if you tried,
- 28:50Speaker 3: the people will say you brought them out of Egypt,
- 28:53Speaker 3: but you are not able to take them to the
- 28:55Speaker 3: promised land. Moses was advising God. God said, it's true. Then,
- 29:01Speaker 3: the Bible said God repented of the evil that he
- 29:05Speaker 3: had taught to do.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Look at it.
- 29:06Speaker 3: At some point they began to cry. They began to
- 29:10Speaker 3: cry and said, we missed the galics, we missed the melon,
- 29:14Speaker 3: we missed the cucumbas, We missed the leaks that we
- 29:17Speaker 3: eat in Egypt. But there's nothing in this wilderness. Can't
- 29:23Speaker 3: the media help me with that? That's book of numbers.
- 29:25Speaker 3: There's nothing in this wild and as for us to
- 29:27Speaker 3: eat except this this manner, it's what's manner?
- 29:32Speaker 2: What's manner? The Bible refeld to Manna's angels food said,
- 29:36Speaker 2: when we.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Complain about the gallic, the melon, the cucumbas, they didn't say,
- 29:39Speaker 3: which we did? In Egypt alone, they said, which we
- 29:42Speaker 3: did eat in Egypt freely, freely. You know, it is
- 29:51Speaker 3: easier to be a slave than to be in the
- 29:55Speaker 3: Promised Land. When you are a slave, you don't need
- 29:58Speaker 3: quality thinking. You do want skilled jobs is on skilled label.
- 30:03Speaker 3: You build cities that you can't live in. You are
- 30:07Speaker 3: migrating from the ghetto to the cities you are building that.
- 30:12Speaker 2: You can live in. You go there, you admire it, and.
- 30:15Speaker 3: If you have pictures, to take pictures showing your children
- 30:18Speaker 3: of houses.
- 30:18Speaker 2: You build but can't live in. So he said, it's
- 30:22Speaker 2: so fine.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Look look at the guys there that that place is
- 30:26Speaker 3: not for our kind, but our can't build it, and
- 30:30Speaker 3: that's what happened to them. So it's easy you eat.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Somebody comes to a ration and a portion. This is
- 30:35Speaker 3: what you are going to eat today, is going to tomorrow?
- 30:40Speaker 3: Where do I slave? You have nothing to contend for.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Just do the job given to you, and that's it.
- 30:48Speaker 3: They could don't relate with the idea and the responsibility.
- 30:53Speaker 2: That comes with freedom.
- 30:54Speaker 3: There is something called institutionalization. I'm going to explain what
- 30:59Speaker 3: that means. Will get to that point where they become
- 31:03Speaker 3: one and same with their bondage. They become one man,
- 31:08Speaker 3: same with their affliction. I saw a video online that
- 31:12Speaker 3: an elderly man was rescued from a prison where it
- 31:16Speaker 3: was whether justly or justly, some boys got themselves. They
- 31:20Speaker 3: sat an organization where they will bring people out of
- 31:22Speaker 3: prison who have been there, nus there. And when they
- 31:25Speaker 3: brought him out of prison, the first thing he said
- 31:27Speaker 3: was who asked you to bring me out?
- 31:30Speaker 2: Why? Why did you bring me out? Said? Now you
- 31:33Speaker 2: brought me out? I have nowhere to sleep. Where do
- 31:36Speaker 2: I go to? I don't have.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Anything to eat because in prison you eat free food
- 31:41Speaker 3: and you sleeping free accommodation. So you get to a
- 31:44Speaker 3: point where you cannot think of the possibility of being
- 31:48Speaker 3: a champion outside the chain. In prison, you have a
- 31:52Speaker 3: sense of identity, but outside it's like you are starting afresh.
- 31:56Speaker 3: And many contem brands that regal there had to become
- 32:00Speaker 3: a customed with your pain, with their situation and become.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Wand they can't see might again. And that was what
- 32:11Speaker 2: happened to them.
- 32:13Speaker 3: I said, we remember the Gaelics, and well, I don't
- 32:18Speaker 3: know what is there to miss about Gallics and cucumber.
- 32:22Speaker 2: I don't know. I've never sat in my life. I said,
- 32:25Speaker 2: I missed Cumba.
- 32:26Speaker 3: For what I miss Melon? I missed leeks? And for
- 32:32Speaker 3: what what is that compared to freedom? What is that
- 32:40Speaker 3: compared to where you're going? I'd love to give you statistable.
- 32:46Speaker 3: We're not going to talk about this building to show
- 32:49Speaker 3: you where chunk of our money are going into in Africa.
- 32:54Speaker 3: And while here we complain that the continent is dark,
- 32:57Speaker 3: you'll be a missed. That meet has become the opium,
- 33:01Speaker 3: giving to people to be distracted from building, and they
- 33:05Speaker 3: will celebrate. And the countries who build those media are
- 33:07Speaker 3: not distracted by them.
- 33:09Speaker 2: And we are missed. And we think things will just happen.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Nothing just happens.
- 33:15Speaker 3: Look at the complain of God's God's made an observation
- 33:19Speaker 3: in Exodus, chapter number thirteen, verse seventeen. Exodus, chapter number thirteen,
- 33:25Speaker 3: verse seventeen. God made an observation. Look at this, the
- 33:29Speaker 3: boss said. And it came to pass when Pharaoh and
- 33:32Speaker 3: let the people go, that God lets. God let them
- 33:38Speaker 3: not through the ways of the Philly Sign, although that
- 33:44Speaker 3: was near, for God said less peradventure. The people repent
- 33:53Speaker 3: when they see war and they return to Egypt. God
- 34:01Speaker 3: saw that people have the capacity to return to their
- 34:05Speaker 3: advandage because might have died. I'm to show you that
- 34:10Speaker 3: same scripture in a more defined translation extra about their team,
- 34:22Speaker 3: verse seventeen.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Let me read this in good news.
- 34:30Speaker 3: God did not take them by the road that goes
- 34:33Speaker 3: off to the coast to Pelistia, although it was the
- 34:36Speaker 3: shortest way.
- 34:37Speaker 2: God taught, I do not want the people to.
- 34:40Speaker 3: Change their minds and return to Egypt when they see
- 34:44Speaker 3: that they are going to how to fight. The fact
- 34:50Speaker 3: that favor will let you go doesn't mean that they
- 34:54Speaker 3: get into the permised land will be opened without a fight.
- 34:59Speaker 3: Real men fight. There are people that must not be
- 35:07Speaker 3: sick today. They will not fight for their lives. They
- 35:12Speaker 3: will not fight for because they feel what they're to
- 35:17Speaker 3: live for, So they will not even put up a fight.
- 35:23Speaker 3: So God could not lead them through the shortters out.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Because they have to fight. Why won't they fight?
- 35:32Speaker 3: They've been broken, battered, traumatized by the whips of Digitius.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Egyptians it looks like they have six packs. But this
- 35:44Speaker 3: is not from deliberate gym. It's from affliction. You know,
- 35:49Speaker 3: there's a way a fliction can make a man look built,
- 35:54Speaker 3: but it's not something is dead inside. So if you
- 36:00Speaker 3: read Deuteronomy, chapter number eight, verse three, if you look
- 36:04Speaker 3: at the first statement there, you shall remember the way
- 36:08Speaker 3: which the Lord look from verse two. Now wish with
- 36:11Speaker 3: the Lord your God let d verse two look at it.
- 36:15Speaker 3: That shall remember the way which Lord your God let
- 36:17Speaker 3: d these forty years in the wilderness. So God, who
- 36:24Speaker 3: could lead them to a shorter route, led them forty
- 36:28Speaker 3: years in the wilderness.
- 36:31Speaker 2: It was still good.
- 36:33Speaker 3: The fact that you heard this from God doesn't mean
- 36:35Speaker 3: that's what you would have loved to say. He can
- 36:39Speaker 3: say it because of his observation of you, havn't checked
- 36:45Speaker 3: you out that if I said something else, it won't
- 36:48Speaker 3: believe me. It won't follow. It doesn't have the spine
- 36:53Speaker 3: to trust me through this route. Let's go another route
- 36:57Speaker 3: and guess what you will think. God led them through
- 37:00Speaker 3: the wilderness for forty years to escape a fight. No,
- 37:04Speaker 3: it is for forty years, so they will come and
- 37:06Speaker 3: fight what they ought to have fought forty years before.
- 37:09Speaker 2: The fact that is longer doesn't mean the metald has changed.
- 37:13Speaker 2: You are still going to have to learn to do
- 37:16Speaker 2: what you ought to do.
- 37:18Speaker 3: So forty years later they got to the promised land
- 37:22Speaker 3: in extodoors numbers, chapter number thirteen. And they began to complain.
- 37:26Speaker 3: Look at what they said, numbers chapter number thirteen. When
- 37:32Speaker 3: I'm don't teaching, and I asked us to pray, will
- 37:34Speaker 3: we pray that the spirit of night will return? I
- 37:38Speaker 3: did get it meant to that. Look at this numbers
- 37:44Speaker 3: sete in from verse twenty seven. For the sake of time,
- 37:51Speaker 3: numbers setting from verse twenty seven. And they told him
- 37:54Speaker 3: and said, we came onto the land whether our centers,
- 37:57Speaker 3: and surely, yes, surely it fluid with the meal and honey,
- 38:01Speaker 3: and this is the fruit of it.
- 38:03Speaker 2: Yes. Nevertheless, the people be strong that dwell in the land,
- 38:09Speaker 2: and the cities are world and very great.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Moreover, we saw the children of Hannak there, the Amalikit
- 38:19Speaker 3: dwelt in the land of the south, and the Ethites
- 38:22Speaker 3: and the Jebu side are yeah Jebbu people here, the
- 38:27Speaker 3: Gebu sides ami Jebbu.
- 38:30Speaker 2: So we are here even though they flocked us. Look
- 38:36Speaker 2: at this.
- 38:38Speaker 3: The amor right do well in the mountains. The Canaanites
- 38:43Speaker 3: dwell by the sea and by the coast of children.
- 38:46Speaker 3: And Caleb steals the people before Moses and said, let
- 38:52Speaker 3: us go over to ones and possess it, for we
- 38:55Speaker 3: are well able to overcome it. But the men that
- 38:58Speaker 3: went up with him said, we be not able to
- 39:02Speaker 3: go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.
- 39:07Speaker 3: And they brought up an evil report of the land
- 39:11Speaker 3: which they have searched, onto your tune of Israel, saying,
- 39:14Speaker 3: the land door we have.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Gone to search it. It is a land that eat and.
- 39:19Speaker 3: Up the inhabitants thereof. And all the people we saw
- 39:24Speaker 3: there are men of great stature. We saw the giants,
- 39:30Speaker 3: the son of Anak, which come to the giants, and.
- 39:34Speaker 2: We were so this was the problem.
- 39:36Speaker 3: We were in our own site, the way we passive ourselves,
- 39:42Speaker 3: not the.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Way we are actually.
- 39:45Speaker 3: In our own site as grasshoppers. And so were we,
- 39:50Speaker 3: and so we were in their sight. Sir, do you
- 40:01Speaker 3: permit me to prob five more minutes? Thank you, sir,
- 40:07Speaker 3: Number fourteen, verse one. And all the congregation lived up
- 40:13Speaker 3: their voice and cried, and the people wept that night,
- 40:19Speaker 3: and the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron.
- 40:23Speaker 3: And the old congregation said, unto them, would God that
- 40:27Speaker 3: we have died in Egypt, Old God, that we have
- 40:32Speaker 3: died in the wilderness. Wherefore at the Lord brought us
- 40:37Speaker 3: onto this land to fall by the sword, that our
- 40:40Speaker 3: wives and our children should be pray. We had not
- 40:44Speaker 3: better for us to return to Egypt. Look at vers
- 40:48Speaker 3: for what you would think they will never say. Forty
- 40:50Speaker 3: years later, see what they said, and they said to another,
- 40:54Speaker 3: let us make a captain, and let us return to Egypt.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Forty years after they could not find any sense of
- 41:05Speaker 3: identity than their bondage. Let's go back to Egypt. So
- 41:09Speaker 3: all that the Lord taught you for forty years, you mean,
- 41:12Speaker 3: the might was still not restored.
- 41:14Speaker 2: It was so bad that every generation favorable would have
- 41:18Speaker 2: to die.
- 41:20Speaker 3: And that was the only way God could find a
- 41:23Speaker 3: possibility of a people that are willing to fight. When
- 41:31Speaker 3: affliction is introduced to a mind, courage dies, the ability
- 41:38Speaker 3: to fight is swallowed.
- 41:41Speaker 2: The man in the man is swallowed. The people who said,
- 41:47Speaker 2: who are we? In their sight? We are naughty. We
- 41:49Speaker 2: can't do anything.
- 41:50Speaker 3: This This is Look at the way the Bible described them,
- 41:55Speaker 3: and this is the point I'm going to lead us
- 41:57Speaker 3: to pray. Look at the description of God about them.
- 42:03Speaker 3: Psalms Chapter one and fourteen. From verse one Psalms one
- 42:08Speaker 3: one four from verse one, look at this scripture.
- 42:13Speaker 2: When Israel went out.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Of Egypt the house of Jacob from a people of
- 42:18Speaker 3: strange language, Judah was his sanctuary and Israel his dominion.
- 42:25Speaker 3: The sea said and fled, Jordan was driven back. The
- 42:31Speaker 3: people that the sea ran from could not confront people.
- 42:36Speaker 3: The people that Jordan saw and was driven back didn't
- 42:39Speaker 3: know who they were. Miracle is not a sign that
- 42:42Speaker 3: you have an identity? Can be a cover up, It doesn't.
- 42:46Speaker 3: He doesn't cover for it. Look at verse verse four.
- 42:50Speaker 3: Now the mountain escaped like rams and the little heels
- 42:56Speaker 3: like lambs. What aldo that will see that fleets the
- 43:01Speaker 3: Jordan that I was stripping back. He mountains that is
- 43:06Speaker 3: kip like rams, yearly two heels like lambs tremble that
- 43:11Speaker 3: head at the presence of the god of the Lord,
- 43:15Speaker 3: at the presence of the god of war Jacob, which
- 43:20Speaker 3: turned the rock into a standing water, that fleet into
- 43:25Speaker 3: a fountain of waters.
- 43:27Speaker 2: Look at it. They didn't know who they were. What
- 43:31Speaker 2: happened to me that, despite the investment.
- 43:34Speaker 3: Of God in my life, I still struggle to see
- 43:38Speaker 3: Him for his or struggle to believe that after all
- 43:42Speaker 3: that God has done, I am important that I'm not
- 43:46Speaker 3: going to die like my father's died, or feel like
- 43:48Speaker 3: those who went ahead of me, feeling God has invested
- 43:51Speaker 3: too much. He will not see his investment failed. We're
- 43:54Speaker 3: going to ask for one thing this morning, a restoration
- 43:58Speaker 3: of the spirit of Might, and our rise from this.
- 44:03Speaker 2: Meeting in strength, to have.
- 44:07Speaker 3: The capacity to conceive the kind of vision I have
- 44:11Speaker 3: concluded that is not for my kind. I will have
- 44:16Speaker 3: the capacity to fight what I thought I couldn't fight.
- 44:21Speaker 3: I will have the strength to surmount the mountains that
- 44:25Speaker 3: my father could do some mount It doesn't matter the
- 44:28Speaker 3: stories of those who tried and failed. I receive might.
- 44:33Speaker 3: Can I give us the next one minute? We rise
- 44:36Speaker 3: on our feet, and I want a store as the
- 44:40Speaker 3: lions that we are restore me to the place of night,
- 44:45Speaker 3: restauryal spirit back within me. I rise in strength to
- 44:51Speaker 3: a confront what I couldn't confront to the faith.
- 44:54Speaker 2: What is it that my parents? A rise in strength.
- 44:59Speaker 3: Back to the place of might, and I will not
- 45:03Speaker 3: be defeated on the inside. I will not die on
- 45:07Speaker 3: my inside.
- 45:09Speaker 2: That might come.
- 45:11Speaker 3: Let up your restoration, Oh Jesus, I received my strength back.
- 45:22Speaker 2: And Jesus, then we're praying.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Now listen. One time something pillowed his head on Gladas laps,
- 45:30Speaker 3: and she cut off his hair. The Bible said, the
- 45:32Speaker 3: phil sides removed his eyes, and they began to mock him.
- 45:35Speaker 3: While they were doing that, the hair on something began
- 45:40Speaker 3: to go. You wonder in the first place, why God
- 45:44Speaker 3: put the strength in what has the capacity to grow back?
- 45:48Speaker 3: If there's anyone here who has lost that night to
- 45:52Speaker 3: a thing who can explain.
- 45:54Speaker 2: There is a restoration this morning. You come back in
- 45:58Speaker 2: the place of strengths.
- 45:59Speaker 3: You come back to you at nighting you will find
- 46:02Speaker 3: your strength again. It is done in Jesus' mighty name,
- 46:08Speaker 3: God bless you.
