- 0:06Speaker 3: Combination of many different things.
- 0:08Speaker 1: You know what, I like to smoke. I hear you
- 0:11Speaker 1: because I like to smoke that ship. And let me
- 0:13Speaker 1: tell you. Let me tell you why you get way
- 0:15Speaker 1: more stoned when you smoke it than when you eat it.
- 0:19Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Sometimes one doesn't want to be that messed up and
- 0:23Speaker 2: you just want a light little tingle.
- 0:25Speaker 1: When who doesn't want to be Listen, man, that light
- 0:28Speaker 1: little tingle is like spidy senses to me. Man, that
- 0:30Speaker 1: shit's like a ANX.
- 0:31Speaker 2: No, you're you're a large man. You're a large man.
- 0:34Speaker 1: And also that it's like trucks coming, that light little tingle.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I'm telling you, I want the.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Light little tingle. I want to be knocked out, like
- 0:43Speaker 1: the whole body tingle, like a truck's coming.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Those of us, there are those of us out there
- 0:49Speaker 2: that kind of just want a light little Ooh that
- 0:52Speaker 2: flower looks really red.
- 0:56Speaker 1: My weed shop, My weed shop, I walk in and there,
- 0:59Speaker 1: like your back already. I mean, I'm not complaining, but geez, kidd.
- 1:06Speaker 2: I love that you probably keep the lights on in
- 1:08Speaker 2: that place. You like, you're like Norman Cheers.
- 1:13Speaker 1: They got a nickname for me and everything.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Man, I woke up singing your song today?
- 1:19Speaker 1: Which one?
- 1:20Speaker 2: What you're trying to get into a day is soon?
- 1:23Speaker 1: What you're trying to do get into?
- 1:27Speaker 2: When Donald and I used to be young and go out,
- 1:29Speaker 2: we would, uh, we would text it. I guess we
- 1:31Speaker 2: would probably call each other like, Yo, what you're trying
- 1:33Speaker 2: to get into tonight?
- 1:34Speaker 1: Try to get into tonight?
- 1:35Speaker 2: What you're trying to get into tonight?
- 1:37Speaker 1: That used to be to go to When we'd be
- 1:39Speaker 1: at work, it would be like it would be like
- 1:42Speaker 1: six o'clock and we get off early. Let's say it
- 1:45Speaker 1: was a Wednesday, and we'd get off that around you know,
- 1:49Speaker 1: nine or ten, and that around nine or ten that's
- 1:52Speaker 1: when the club kind of opens up.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Right, You'd be like, yo, yo, what you're trying to
- 1:55Speaker 2: get into?
- 1:55Speaker 1: Yeah, we'd have work, Like you don't have to be
- 2:00Speaker 1: a work until ten o'clock in the in the in
- 2:02Speaker 1: the morning tomorrow. It would be like, yo, dude, I
- 2:05Speaker 1: don't got work till ten. What about you? I don't
- 2:07Speaker 1: got work till ten?
- 2:08Speaker 2: What you're trying to get into. And then and then
- 2:11Speaker 2: now that we're old, we're just say it like jokingly, like, yo,
- 2:14Speaker 2: what you're trying to get into tonight? We're like, I'm
- 2:15Speaker 2: trying to go to sleep, and I'm trying to get
- 2:17Speaker 2: in my bed, right, I'm trying. But then then something
- 2:20Speaker 2: and then as we've told you, Donald's name in the
- 2:23Speaker 2: middle name is a day of shoon. So then it
- 2:24Speaker 2: became a song. I don't know if I wrote it
- 2:26Speaker 2: or you r I think I wrote.
- 2:27Speaker 1: You wrote it.
- 2:28Speaker 2: What you're trying to get into a day of shune?
- 2:31Speaker 2: What you're trying to do, but I open it.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Sounds like a sesame stroke Street song one, two three, four, five.
- 2:38Speaker 2: Six, eleven twelve.
- 2:42Speaker 1: What you're trying to get into a day of shoon?
- 2:46Speaker 1: What you're trying to do? You had five, six, seven,
- 2:52Speaker 1: eight nine, ten, eleven twelve. I'm trying to stay out
- 2:55Speaker 1: till one two three, four five six.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Dad.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I like it when you do it because you add
- 3:01Speaker 2: a little sauce. You're like trying to get into what.
- 3:05Speaker 1: He is that Algero man.
- 3:10Speaker 2: We would tell you Algae rot it up, you Algie
- 3:12Speaker 2: rote it up.
- 3:13Speaker 1: What you're trying to get into? This is Welcome to
- 3:22Speaker 1: the stoned out version of Fleet Doctors and real Friends.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Well, listen every morning a navigator Today, Almost every morning
- 3:29Speaker 2: I wake up singing a song. And I don't know
- 3:31Speaker 2: if I've thought about it in my sleep or what,
- 3:33Speaker 2: but I hum, assuming I'm in a good mood, which
- 3:36Speaker 2: is often, I have a little song while I'm doing
- 3:38Speaker 2: my morning pee and I'm just bopping my head to
- 3:41Speaker 2: something and you never know what it's going to be.
- 3:42Speaker 2: But this morning it was what you're trying to get
- 3:45Speaker 2: in to. I don't want to try to do.
- 3:49Speaker 1: What you're trying to do. Oh man, I missed those days.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I missed those days of what you're trying to get?
- 3:56Speaker 2: What's a place called Joseph's We used to go to.
- 3:58Speaker 1: There was Joseph's and that was just off a Yuka? Yeah,
- 4:03Speaker 1: and Ivar.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Isn't there a line in in Is It Made? Yeah?
- 4:08Speaker 1: Made? Do you think I'm trying to spend the rest
- 4:09Speaker 1: of my life living on Yuka?
- 4:12Speaker 2: That's uh? That's Vince Vaughan in the very very underrated
- 4:16Speaker 2: movie Made. I think it's uh.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Because you stole my van and I don't like you.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Yeah. If you haven't seen Made, she made John Favreau
- 4:27Speaker 2: and Vince Vaughan. It was after Swingers, and they were
- 4:29Speaker 2: it was like, I think Favreau's next film after that.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Oh no, that they had blown up after like the
- 4:35Speaker 1: two of them.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Oh so yeah, they blew up and they did other stuff,
- 4:38Speaker 2: but that was the next movie they did together.
- 4:40Speaker 1: They came back and did this one again.
- 4:41Speaker 2: And the only thing funnier than made is watching the outtakes.
- 4:44Speaker 2: You gotta watch, Vince v I don't know if we
- 4:46Speaker 2: have you talked about this yet on the podcast. We're
- 4:47Speaker 2: aready geting the point where I do't remember if've said this, righty,
- 4:49Speaker 2: But haven't you got to watch if you want to
- 4:51Speaker 2: laugh your ass off, watch Vince Vaughn riffing like only
- 4:55Speaker 2: Vince Vaughan could back in the day and making sh
- 4:59Speaker 2: up and Favreau's struggling to get through the scene. And
- 5:02Speaker 2: it is hilarious.
- 5:03Speaker 1: The two of them together. Man, that shit is magic.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Like they should really go back. I know, they're both
- 5:08Speaker 1: very grown now and both very seasoned now.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Also the magic's loss though maybe I don't know, man,
- 5:16Speaker 2: because some of it was they were so young, and
- 5:18Speaker 2: I mean, Swingers was just fucking incredible, and they were
- 5:21Speaker 2: just so young and wide eyed, and they had just
- 5:24Speaker 2: the most amazing banter and and they were improbus like crazy,
- 5:29Speaker 2: and it was just I don't know, Vince Vaughn was
- 5:31Speaker 2: the quickest mofo in the world back in the day.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna tell you something right now, man, I
- 5:36Speaker 1: think they're both so like look at us, man. I
- 5:39Speaker 1: think if we were to do Scrubs now, knowing what
- 5:41Speaker 1: we know about comedy and about the industry and about
- 5:45Speaker 1: timing and about making television and stuff like that, if
- 5:48Speaker 1: we were to go back and start all over from
- 5:50Speaker 1: the beginning with our knowledge, Scrubs would have been way
- 5:55Speaker 1: more funny. That's like anything, it would have been way
- 5:57Speaker 1: more funny. I think the two of them still have
- 5:58Speaker 1: their you know, I think they still have their their
- 6:02Speaker 1: their their connection, their magic, their magic. And if they
- 6:06Speaker 1: were to go out there and do another I would
- 6:08Speaker 1: personally love to see another incarnation of the two characters
- 6:11Speaker 1: from Swingers. Uh Allah made whatever we made.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I don't know anyone that's seen made other than you
- 6:18Speaker 2: and I. But that's bullshit, man. It was not.
- 6:21Speaker 1: It was not.
- 6:21Speaker 2: It was not a hit or not a popular movie.
- 6:23Speaker 1: I don't think, oh man, such a good movie. Cardiff
- 6:27Speaker 1: Giants all of that stuff, and then how Vince Vaughn
- 6:29Speaker 1: spent all the money in one night and everything. Come on, man,
- 6:32Speaker 1: thatsh It's just so it's such a.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Good and then the scene I love when they when
- 6:36Speaker 2: they get their per diem and then and he's He's like,
- 6:40Speaker 2: so this is my prittium, right. Vin Swam's character can't
- 6:44Speaker 2: get can't get his head around the idea that he
- 6:46Speaker 2: just gets cash.
- 6:48Speaker 1: So this is my prettim, this is this is your Yes,
- 6:52Speaker 1: he starts handing money out on the plane because this
- 6:55Speaker 1: is how in this movie too. Yes, he yes.
- 6:58Speaker 2: And Sam Rockwell plays a guy who works at the hotel.
- 7:01Speaker 2: They're saying it like it's supposed to be like the
- 7:03Speaker 2: Mercer hotel down in second So yeah, right, and you
- 7:07Speaker 2: get a goldfish, remember he plays. We can do a
- 7:13Speaker 2: podcast on made Donald. We should do a special episode,
- 7:16Speaker 2: by the way, and then we should do one day.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Let's say we really keep liking this and we run
- 7:21Speaker 2: out of episodes. Yeah, I don't know if we're gonna
- 7:23Speaker 2: do season nine. We'll just we should do season nine,
- 7:26Speaker 2: but then we should start doing this for movies we
- 7:28Speaker 2: love like, we'll just like do a rewatch of our
- 7:31Speaker 2: favorite films.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I'd love to do that. Maybe we could get the
- 7:34Speaker 1: guests of our favorite ps.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Oh that's cool, you know what I mean? Yeah, we
- 7:39Speaker 2: could have We could have Vince Vaughan and uh and John.
- 7:42Speaker 1: If we got see that's the problem though. If John
- 7:44Speaker 1: Favreau was on our podcast, I don't know how long
- 7:48Speaker 1: I would be able to hold out before asking him
- 7:51Speaker 1: for a job in Star Wars or Marvel. I don't
- 7:54Speaker 1: know how long I'd be able to hold out. Probably,
- 7:57Speaker 1: bless you.
- 7:58Speaker 2: That's probably why he doesn't want to.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Uh, come on, I'm yeah, that's probably exactly why a
- 8:04Speaker 1: lot of.
- 8:04Speaker 2: These guys, like I imagine, you know, John Fabrel's of
- 8:07Speaker 2: the world or people that get entrenched in the Star
- 8:09Speaker 2: Wars universe, especially they played.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Marvel Man marvel Is, probably don't.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Want to leave their house. They're like, oh god, the
- 8:15Speaker 2: Donald Faisons of the world are gonna be like and
- 8:19Speaker 2: chilled out. Hold on, I in Iron Man three minutes
- 8:22Speaker 2: and twenty one seconds. It's not a real explosion.
- 8:25Speaker 1: No, you'll never hear me ask about the movie. You
- 8:28Speaker 1: know what. I made that mistake once in life, and
- 8:30Speaker 1: I got the answer I wanted and I was so
- 8:33Speaker 1: in awe of the fact that he was talking to
- 8:36Speaker 1: me about what about his process or his process that
- 8:41Speaker 1: was more process that I fucking missed every word he said.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I met. So I've met George Lucas quite a few
- 8:50Speaker 1: times because I'm a huge Star Wars fan, and we
- 8:52Speaker 1: had just finished watching Revenge of the Sith Sith at
- 8:55Speaker 1: Skywalker Ranch and he's standing with of all people, Sam Jackson,
- 9:00Speaker 1: Windo and Ludacris right, and Ludacris had said to me,
- 9:03Speaker 1: you know, I'm thinking about getting into acting. Is there
- 9:05Speaker 1: any advice you could give me. And I said to him, dude,
- 9:09Speaker 1: you know how to do music videos and stuff like that,
- 9:11Speaker 1: you know how to wrap and everything. Just bring everything,
- 9:14Speaker 1: all of that energy that you bring in your music,
- 9:17Speaker 1: just bring that to acting, that concentration. Just do that.
- 9:20Speaker 1: And he was like, oh, yeah, absolutely, And so I
- 9:22Speaker 1: when he did that, I was like, all right, So
- 9:24Speaker 1: now he did that in front of George Lucas. I
- 9:26Speaker 1: now have an end to George Lucas to ask George Lucas,
- 9:29Speaker 1: so how'd you come up with Star Wars?
- 9:31Speaker 4: Oh?
- 9:31Speaker 2: God, so I'm embarrassed already.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I said, so, how'd you come up? With Star Wars,
- 9:36Speaker 1: and he fucking answered the question. He's like, well, so
- 9:40Speaker 1: what I do is I you know, I sit down
- 9:41Speaker 1: in my house and I'm like, oh, what would be
- 9:44Speaker 1: an interesting galaxy. Let's see, maybe a galaxy far away,
- 9:47Speaker 1: and then I could come up with the idea of
- 9:49Speaker 1: a planet. Okay, on this end this galaxy, there's a planet.
- 9:52Speaker 1: What would the planet be. Let's say it's tattooing, okay,
- 9:54Speaker 1: and then what's what's it like on tattooing? And he
- 9:56Speaker 1: goes into the whole fucking thing on how these creating
- 10:00Speaker 1: galaxies and you know, and I'm sitting there and in
- 10:04Speaker 1: my mind, I'm like, fucking George Lucas is talking to me.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Fucking George Lucas is talking to me. I didn't hear
- 10:10Speaker 1: one word he said. He gave me the algorithm the
- 10:13Speaker 1: Star Wars and I wasn't listening because I was so
- 10:16Speaker 1: in awe of the fact that I was talking to
- 10:18Speaker 1: George Lucas. Do you think this is a lie? This
- 10:21Speaker 1: is the honest I walked away, like, you fucking moron.
- 10:24Speaker 1: You fucking didn't listen.
- 10:26Speaker 2: You know, It's funny. In my mind, George Lucas was like, hey,
- 10:28Speaker 2: invite Donald Fazon because I might put him on one
- 10:31Speaker 2: of the leads of one of my new films. Okay, sir,
- 10:33Speaker 2: we'll invite him. And then you get there and he's like,
- 10:34Speaker 2: oh no, he's one of those guys who asked me
- 10:36Speaker 2: how I come up with Star Wars. Forget it, Jimmy, dude.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I sat in front of him for Revenge of the
- 10:41Speaker 1: Scyth right, and he's behind me. And I loved Revenge
- 10:45Speaker 1: of the Sith. Even when I saw it back in
- 10:47Speaker 1: the day. I loved it.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I saw Joel look at the face Joel's giving you.
- 10:51Speaker 1: And I sat in front of him, and I remember
- 10:53Speaker 1: I was there and we had you know, we had
- 10:55Speaker 1: cocktails before the movie. It was like this big MTV premiere.
- 10:58Speaker 1: We had cocktails, we had food. I might have even
- 11:01Speaker 1: smoked a cigarette back then. This was a long time ago, right,
- 11:04Speaker 1: And I'm there with this girl that I'm dating and
- 11:06Speaker 1: we are watching Revenge of the Sith and the movie
- 11:10Speaker 1: ends and I turn around and I look at him
- 11:12Speaker 1: and I can see he's like, what would you think?
- 11:14Speaker 1: And I'm like, dude, it was fucking amazing. You did it, George,
- 11:19Speaker 1: You you fucking did it. Oh my God, I'm losing
- 11:22Speaker 1: my mind. I grab him, I give him a hip hop. Yeah,
- 11:26Speaker 1: I give him a big hug and everything. I'm like,
- 11:28Speaker 1: I can't believe you. You did it, George, you fucking
- 11:30Speaker 1: did it. And I turn around and I go, who,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I can't believe it. He fucking did it. And I
- 11:36Speaker 1: say it to the girl I'm dating at the time.
- 11:38Speaker 1: She was like, oh my god, babe, your breath smells
- 11:43Speaker 1: oh so bad right now.
- 11:49Speaker 4: But I'm like, all in his face, Oh.
- 11:50Speaker 1: My god, George, you fucking did it.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Ude.
- 11:56Speaker 2: By the way, I have another embarrassing story related to
- 11:58Speaker 2: Star Wars. You did?
- 12:00Speaker 1: Oh what did I do?
- 12:01Speaker 2: Doesn't Kathleen Kennedy have an idea?
- 12:03Speaker 1: God? She has an identical and you went.
- 12:04Speaker 2: And congratulated the identical twin.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Yeah I did. I let go and you know what,
- 12:10Speaker 1: and here's the problem with it, here's the problem with them.
- 12:12Speaker 2: No, Bro, that was embarrassing. I was with you that one.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Yeah, that was pretty bad. And then she laughed at
- 12:16Speaker 1: me about it after I told I was like, I
- 12:18Speaker 1: just fucking went up to your sister and congratulated her
- 12:21Speaker 1: on Star Wars.
- 12:22Speaker 2: You were so dialed in with these people. I just
- 12:24Speaker 2: don't understand how we can't get you apart. You're friends
- 12:27Speaker 2: with the cowboy hat guy, Dave Filoni, Dave Felony. You're
- 12:32Speaker 2: friends with Kathleen Kennedy and or her identical twin. George
- 12:36Speaker 2: Lucas knows how bad your breath can be. Why can't
- 12:38Speaker 2: these fucking people hire you to be in these movies?
- 12:40Speaker 1: I did Felicity with jj A Brooms.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Yeah, You're like, it's God, But I really, I really
- 12:46Speaker 2: want to make it one of my life priorities to
- 12:47Speaker 2: at least get you in one of these movies. I mean,
- 12:49Speaker 2: fucking Ed Sheeran's in costume hidden doing cameos in these movies.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Why can't hearons in Game of Thrones too?
- 12:57Speaker 4: Man?
- 12:57Speaker 1: It's like, you know, why can't you what he is?
- 13:00Speaker 1: Because one I don't can I call?
- 13:02Speaker 2: Who can I call?
- 13:03Speaker 1: You got a lot of friends you could call? Dude,
- 13:05Speaker 1: you're freaking well I was. I was at the same
- 13:08Speaker 1: Spielberg and makes Spielberg called Lucas. Call Lucas, who will
- 13:11Speaker 1: have been called everybody over at Disney. You know who
- 13:14Speaker 1: you need to get in touch with. These are the
- 13:15Speaker 1: two people I need you to get in touch with
- 13:17Speaker 1: for me. Yeah, Figgy.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Okay. I don't really know Foggy, but I'm writing it down.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Kevin Foggy, Okay, I'm gonna call him today. Who else?
- 13:25Speaker 2: And the head of Disney, Well, Sean Bailey is a
- 13:28Speaker 2: friend of mine. He's uh, he's the head of production,
- 13:31Speaker 2: President of production at Disney. So I'm gonna call Sean Bailey. Okay,
- 13:34Speaker 2: Sean Bailey fig Okay. Now, will you make sure that
- 13:37Speaker 2: when you meet them you have a mint in your mouth?
- 13:39Speaker 1: I will will definitely, I will definitely mint up that day.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I will not only mint up that day, I will
- 13:44Speaker 1: keep all of my emotions buried as Jedi do.
- 13:48Speaker 2: I was on I hung out with j while he
- 13:50Speaker 2: was making the last Star Wars movie. We were staying
- 13:53Speaker 2: at the same hotel, and I would often see him
- 13:56Speaker 2: in the lobby of the hotel and we would we
- 13:58Speaker 2: would shoot the ship and I'm I remember him sitting
- 14:00Speaker 2: with a laptop clearly in my mind, which was tweaking
- 14:03Speaker 2: the screenplay over by the fireplace and the lobby in London,
- 14:06Speaker 2: and I thought, oh my god, Donald would freak out
- 14:08Speaker 2: right now, JJ's over by the fireplace what looks clearly
- 14:11Speaker 2: like doing a rewrite of the script.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Yeah. You know, you're so lucky that I was not there, I.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Know, because you would have gone over and be like
- 14:19Speaker 2: you did that. No, no, no, like Donald, get off
- 14:22Speaker 2: of me.
- 14:23Speaker 1: No no, no, let's let's let's let's just be honest
- 14:25Speaker 1: with it, with it all. The order of appreciation for
- 14:29Speaker 1: the Star Wars trilogies, Yeah, is the first trilogy. Obviously,
- 14:35Speaker 1: the Empire strikes back New Hope, returning to Jedi, those
- 14:40Speaker 1: three then you gotta go Clone Wars. You gotta do
- 14:43Speaker 1: all of that stuff. You gotta go episode one, two
- 14:45Speaker 1: and three, and then you gotta go.
- 14:47Speaker 2: I can't. I can't weigh in, Joelle, please weigh in,
- 14:49Speaker 2: because you saw.
- 14:52Speaker 1: You gotta go seven eight nine, you know, you know.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Uh.
- 14:55Speaker 1: And the thing about seven eight nine is it started
- 14:58Speaker 1: so great and then it the kind of went off
- 15:00Speaker 1: in a direction that nobody you know, some people love it,
- 15:03Speaker 1: some people don't love it, and then they try to,
- 15:06Speaker 1: you know, correct it, and I don't know, I don't know.
- 15:10Speaker 1: You know a lot of people really really loved the
- 15:13Speaker 1: new trilogy. I'm one of those people who's a little
- 15:17Speaker 1: you know, a little infny dippity about it. I love
- 15:19Speaker 1: Star Wars for the rest of my life, don't ever
- 15:21Speaker 1: get it twisted. I will always be a true fan
- 15:25Speaker 1: of Star Wars. I'm not necessarily sure that the last
- 15:29Speaker 1: trilogy was my favorite.
- 15:32Speaker 3: That's all good, Like, that's super fair. I feel like
- 15:35Speaker 3: it's definitely a fifty to fifty split on fans. I
- 15:38Speaker 3: think it'll see a lot Like with the original or
- 15:40Speaker 3: with the prequels, we saw a lot of kids who
- 15:43Speaker 3: that was their first Star Wars are like write or
- 15:45Speaker 3: die for it. They're like, you can't tell me anything.
- 15:47Speaker 3: The people's are amazing. It's my first experience. So I'm
- 15:50Speaker 3: sure we'll have another crop of kids who are like, no,
- 15:52Speaker 3: Kylo was everything, and I really like the relationship between
- 15:56Speaker 3: Read and Kilo, and there's a lot to love. Scene wise,
- 15:59Speaker 3: there's just kind of like sea and moments.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Scenes and exactly Joel, You're nailing.
- 16:03Speaker 3: It was like what is even happening or just good.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Or just a storyline between Kylo and and Ray you
- 16:11Speaker 1: know what I mean, and how and how they found
- 16:13Speaker 1: each other and the you know, it gets a little twisted.
- 16:16Speaker 1: I feel like, and this is just my personal belief
- 16:19Speaker 1: and I love you know I as a movie by itself.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I think the last Jedi is a good movie, but
- 16:28Speaker 1: in the trilogy form, I don't think it fits at all.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I think it's like and I think it's because they
- 16:33Speaker 1: are writing around shit. In the two That Surrounded you
- 16:36Speaker 1: know what I mean? So and the Force Awakens, they
- 16:38Speaker 1: wrote a story, he deviates from the story, and then
- 16:42Speaker 1: JJ tries to correct, but the.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Course correcting at the end did not work for me.
- 16:46Speaker 3: I love the Last Jedi. It's my favorite of the
- 16:48Speaker 3: new trilogy, but it's because it has a lot of
- 16:50Speaker 3: tropes that I was born a Star War. They takes
- 16:52Speaker 3: a lot of the pone Wars moments that I love
- 16:54Speaker 3: and brought them to the like the big screen, and
- 16:56Speaker 3: I was all like, although, blowing up the ship like
- 16:58Speaker 3: that's my next tattoo, very legitimate.
- 17:00Speaker 1: But who hold out?
- 17:01Speaker 5: Man?
- 17:01Speaker 1: And we had to fuck this hold over?
- 17:03Speaker 3: You had read the book Princess of alder On, you
- 17:06Speaker 3: would exactly.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Read Yeah, totally, I totally get that. But for the
- 17:11Speaker 1: majority of Star Wars fans, who the fuck is hold out?
- 17:15Speaker 1: It's like people that it's like introducing Darth Maul again
- 17:18Speaker 1: in Solo. Most of the people didn't want. Most Star
- 17:20Speaker 1: Wars fans who see the movies have never watched the
- 17:23Speaker 1: Clone Wars and have never watched Rebels, so they have
- 17:25Speaker 1: no idea that Darth Maul survives this fall uh from
- 17:29Speaker 1: uh from obi Wan when obi Wan slices happens. Hold on,
- 17:33Speaker 1: just just wait a second.
- 17:35Speaker 2: I'm worried people are tuning out. I'm worried about it.
- 17:39Speaker 2: I'm worried that people are We're gonna podcast, We're gonna
- 17:43Speaker 2: We're gonna pen it.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Now, we're gonna pen it. Now, let's get back to scrubs.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Is that something you want to say? Joel period on it,
- 17:50Speaker 1: and then we can move on.
- 17:51Speaker 3: But just this is the new, the new conversation of nerds.
- 17:54Speaker 3: All nerds. You had to read all the comics to
- 17:56Speaker 3: go into the movies the TV shows to enjoy this stuff,
- 17:57Speaker 3: because that'shere all the GT details were, and that's how
- 17:59Speaker 3: we separated. And I don't want to reopen argument of
- 18:02Speaker 3: what a true nerd is. You can like things and
- 18:03Speaker 3: be as nerdy about them as you want to. But
- 18:05Speaker 3: I find something so so satisfying about having read one
- 18:08Speaker 3: hundred comic books and thirty six novels and getting to
- 18:11Speaker 3: the movie and then all of that backward is paid
- 18:13Speaker 3: off in the film, it's peoipul. I know it alienates
- 18:15Speaker 3: some people and that frustut is people, but get on board,
- 18:17Speaker 3: like it's.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Awesome, Joelle, you and I are the same person. I've
- 18:20Speaker 1: read damn near every Star Wars comic book, like I
- 18:23Speaker 1: have singles, I have the actual graphic novels I have
- 18:27Speaker 1: at all. But that being said, man, it's like you
- 18:30Speaker 1: got to look at it as a lot of people
- 18:31Speaker 1: don't read that shit, and because they don't read that shit,
- 18:33Speaker 1: you got to keep the story. You know, you can
- 18:36Speaker 1: still pay homage and have little inside jokes, but you
- 18:39Speaker 1: can't make actual storyline about things that happen in the
- 18:43Speaker 1: comic that only you, like a million people read, you know,
- 18:47Speaker 1: I mean, you just can't. You just what you're saying
- 18:51Speaker 1: the same yet, and that being said five six eight
- 18:55Speaker 1: about you made a bunch of said, he's a story,
- 19:07Speaker 1: so here.
- 19:17Speaker 2: I think we should have kept going. I just think
- 19:19Speaker 2: we should have kept the preamble because you know why
- 19:22Speaker 2: people are gonna think Joel and Donald have begun a
- 19:25Speaker 2: Star Wars podcast. And I accidentally clicked on that.
- 19:31Speaker 1: By the way, I was literally only three minutes, dude.
- 19:34Speaker 2: It was literally it was great. I was able to
- 19:36Speaker 2: get a light nap in listen Isaac Isaac Washington, Ted
- 19:42Speaker 2: Lang from The Love Boat. Yes, he's how awesome is that?
- 19:45Speaker 1: He's amazing in this episode too.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Yes, he's a good actor. And I always thought that.
- 19:49Speaker 1: He had done more episodes than just this one. I
- 19:52Speaker 1: thought he was in two of them.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Now, did you watch The Love Boat? There's so many
- 19:55Speaker 2: episodes of love It's like over two hundred episodes of
- 19:57Speaker 2: the Love Boat. Did you watch, kid?
- 19:59Speaker 1: I watched several, So it's up the Love Boat. I
- 20:01Speaker 1: do believe he did more than this. I think we didn't.
- 20:03Speaker 1: We have other cast members from The Love Boat on?
- 20:06Speaker 2: Yes, well Doc Doc was on? Wasn't Doc on?
- 20:11Speaker 1: Yeah? I believe so I could. Let's this is a
- 20:14Speaker 1: Scrubs Wiki question.
- 20:15Speaker 2: No, we can't put him to work right away. Dude,
- 20:18Speaker 2: how are we doing with him? Joelle? Do we getting
- 20:19Speaker 2: him his vocal pops? Okay, he's happy.
- 20:22Speaker 1: You got to keep him, marry happy.
- 20:24Speaker 2: It's like you gotta keep you gotta feed the beast.
- 20:25Speaker 2: You gotta give him a swag every time he answers
- 20:27Speaker 2: a question, Donald.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Do you want me to do the recap?
- 20:31Speaker 2: Oh?
- 20:31Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 20:31Speaker 2: Oh yeah? Did you rehearse?
- 20:33Speaker 1: I didn't this time.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Okay, let me get my timer ready. I don't really
- 20:38Speaker 2: think this is I'm gonna say something controversial that I
- 20:40Speaker 2: don't say very often. Right, this episode is not that.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Great, Okay, I I wow, that's that's something to be said.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Uh, it's all right. And by the way, to all
- 20:56Speaker 2: stars behind it, Matt Tarsus and Mark Bucklan, I'm just
- 21:00Speaker 2: saying it wasn't one of my favorites.
- 21:02Speaker 1: I didn't l it doesn't really go anywhere at the end.
- 21:04Speaker 1: This is just like a day in the life in
- 21:06Speaker 1: the hospital and it kind of you'll kind of hear
- 21:09Speaker 1: that in my recap.
- 21:10Speaker 2: It feels like a B side.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Yes, it's like a it's like a It's like right,
- 21:15Speaker 1: it's like the Wu Tang Clan came out with Protect
- 21:18Speaker 1: Your Neck, and on the B side was Method Man.
- 21:21Speaker 1: The Method Man's song is Dope and the Protected next.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I can't this is a bad example because both songs
- 21:26Speaker 1: are so really just really good.
- 21:28Speaker 2: All right. This is I think we all know a
- 21:29Speaker 2: song on the album that comes out that's like, eh,
- 21:32Speaker 2: it's not the best song, but I'll still play it, right,
- 21:35Speaker 2: And that's how I feel about this episode. It's like
- 21:37Speaker 2: it's fine. There's some funny shit in there. The opera
- 21:39Speaker 2: singer singing mister mistake, and there's some there's a couple
- 21:42Speaker 2: of funny things. But I was I didn't I didn't
- 21:45Speaker 2: really laugh out loud that much.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Okay, Rob said, here we go.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Wait, wait, let me get my timer ready, Okay, and go.
- 21:54Speaker 1: The gang has reached a new level of confidence, but
- 21:56Speaker 1: all make big mistakes in this episode. They all have
- 22:00Speaker 1: to learn to live with it, because, let's be honest,
- 22:03Speaker 1: in real life, you don't get a do over. Some
- 22:05Speaker 1: find it very challenging, some find it very easy, but
- 22:08Speaker 1: in the end, all of them are happy with how
- 22:10Speaker 1: they've confronted their mistake and have learned a lesson or
- 22:13Speaker 1: so it seems.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Well, that was twenty three seconds.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Wow, that's what I feel like.
- 22:20Speaker 2: You need to be really using your time because I'm
- 22:25Speaker 2: trying to listen.
- 22:26Speaker 1: I have anxiety over this every fucking episode.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Good, you had seven seconds. You could have gone into
- 22:32Speaker 2: detail about the janitor wearing a white coat.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Well, no, because that's not the that's not the that's
- 22:38Speaker 1: not a recap. That's when you.
- 22:42Speaker 2: When you have when you're when you're fucking just giving
- 22:44Speaker 2: up seven seconds you could be talking about the B
- 22:46Speaker 2: story of the C story.
- 22:47Speaker 1: You could that's but I think that's what we're supposed
- 22:49Speaker 1: to do in the podcast.
- 22:50Speaker 2: No, but you could also be like. And also the
- 22:52Speaker 2: janitor you can be like. And also the janitor wears
- 22:53Speaker 2: a white coat because he tries.
- 22:54Speaker 1: To tell me, tell me if I have tell me
- 22:57Speaker 1: if I get this in seven seconds. And also the
- 22:58Speaker 1: janitor wears a white coat because JD decided to wear
- 23:01Speaker 1: a white coat to work one day.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Okay, good, that was a very funny.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Storyline, though I thought. I thought the fact that no,
- 23:07Speaker 1: well that too, but the fact that JD decided to
- 23:10Speaker 1: wear you know what, I'm a fucking resident. Now I'm
- 23:12Speaker 1: gonna wear a white coat to work, right, and and
- 23:16Speaker 1: and because I'm important and I'm a doctor and I
- 23:19Speaker 1: need this white He was feeling himself. He was totally
- 23:22Speaker 1: feeling himself. He's feeling accomplished.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Yeah, you know. Well, and then a little bit of trivia.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Doctor Cox does not wear a white coat the whole episode.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Which is odd because he wears a white coat always.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Right, and I think I get I'm assuming it was
- 23:37Speaker 2: some directorial choice to have him in his biceps. By
- 23:41Speaker 2: the way, his biceps. He must have done a lot
- 23:42Speaker 2: of I have a sense that Johnny and the director decided, oh,
- 23:47Speaker 2: I won't wear a white coat, just to really accentuate
- 23:49Speaker 2: what a dork JD is, And then Johnny was like,
- 23:52Speaker 2: but but in lieu of a white coat, my biceps
- 23:54Speaker 2: are going to be fucking pumped.
- 23:57Speaker 1: He doesn't fuck around, man.
- 23:58Speaker 2: You can tell he was curling before you've seen You can.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Tell that Johnny does not fucking around when it comes
- 24:03Speaker 1: to fitness. Man, his fitness was you know, I don't
- 24:06Speaker 1: know how you know his His wife is very health
- 24:10Speaker 1: conscious when it comes to eating and stuff like that.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I don't know if Johnny was like that before he
- 24:14Speaker 1: met her, but he definitely was putting on.
- 24:18Speaker 2: He was definitely in diety wise. But bro, he was
- 24:21Speaker 2: always ripped.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Yeah, he was putting that work.
- 24:23Speaker 4: He puts us to.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Shame, dude, Yeah, he is. Reason how are you doing
- 24:27Speaker 2: on your fitness thing? By the way, because I've been
- 24:28Speaker 2: being a little lazy. I mean, obviously I've got a
- 24:31Speaker 2: few things on my mind, but I've been I haven't
- 24:32Speaker 2: really been killing it.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Well, until they make weed that doesn't give you the munchies.
- 24:36Speaker 1: I'm in deep shit. Pretty much like I were stuck
- 24:40Speaker 1: in a loop. I work out an hour every day
- 24:43Speaker 1: pretty much. I work out, you know, with the trainer.
- 24:47Speaker 1: I work out, you know, on my peloton. I have
- 24:50Speaker 1: food that's delivered to me. The shout out to Trifecta Nutrition.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Do you know, by the way in there's an allowable
- 24:57Speaker 2: amount of of like insect and rodent parts allowed in tuna.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Well, you're allowed to eat. Yeah, the FDA allows you
- 25:05Speaker 1: to allows packaging and all of that stuff. You're allowed
- 25:08Speaker 1: to eat a certain amount.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Of I'm sure it's in all foods because you just
- 25:12Speaker 2: can't control. You can't get if you have a factory,
- 25:14Speaker 2: you can't get your insects slash roadent problem down to zero.
- 25:17Speaker 2: But there is like literally you can google it. There's
- 25:19Speaker 2: like an allowable amount of like roach slash rat parts
- 25:25Speaker 2: allowed in tuna fish. Did you know that, Joel?
- 25:31Speaker 1: You're ruining food for so many people.
- 25:33Speaker 2: I'm just telling you. If you don't believe me, if
- 25:35Speaker 2: you're sitting there listening, going if.
- 25:36Speaker 1: You like tuna salad sandwich, you might want to change your.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Joel, can you google what the allowable amount of roach
- 25:44Speaker 2: slash rodent parts in tuna is is Google, like Joel's
- 25:49Speaker 2: gonna Joe Well's gonna do it for you guys, because
- 25:51Speaker 2: you're probably jogging or breastfeeding or doing the dishes. I'm
- 25:56Speaker 2: listening to podcasts while I do dishes. It's nice to
- 26:00Speaker 2: speeds along the dishes.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Does it. Yeah, you have a lot of dishes like
- 26:04Speaker 1: that where you gotta be where you're washing for an hour.
- 26:07Speaker 2: And well, my girlfriends are really good. No, it's the
- 26:09Speaker 2: whole pocket. My girlfriend's a really good cook and she's
- 26:10Speaker 2: always mate.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Just because she uses a lot of pots and pans
- 26:13Speaker 1: doesn't make her a really good cook. Bro.
- 26:15Speaker 2: You know for a fact, my girlfriend's a ridiculous cook.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Your girlfriend's are very fucking good cook. She's a phenomenon.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Not only is she making these gourmet meals, but also
- 26:22Speaker 2: there's like breads going during the day and it's like
- 26:25Speaker 2: a whole thing, and I'm so appreciative it. But then
- 26:27Speaker 2: I look at the sink and it's like like psycho
- 26:32Speaker 2: and so I.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Gotta god, Joelle's face is not making She's not making.
- 26:37Speaker 4: Oh, here we go.
- 26:39Speaker 3: This is According to LiveScience dot com, ground cinnamon can
- 26:42Speaker 3: contain up to an average of four hundred insect fragments
- 26:47Speaker 3: per fifty grams regular can do an average of three
- 26:50Speaker 3: hundred insect fragments per ten grams.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Yeah, on tuna, I remember tuna being high.
- 26:58Speaker 1: How many grams in announce? Specifically twenty eight grams in announced?
- 27:03Speaker 1: How do you know that, Daniel?
- 27:04Speaker 2: How do you think I know that?
- 27:06Speaker 1: Could you be selling that ship on the regular?
- 27:11Speaker 2: Don't get the cobs coming to the store? Wait a
- 27:13Speaker 2: second coming after?
- 27:14Speaker 1: Did you find say coming to beat the Feds? Did
- 27:17Speaker 1: you find feds?
- 27:18Speaker 2: Did you find tuna? Joelle?
- 27:20Speaker 1: I think that's what Daniel to show to you. No,
- 27:23Speaker 1: he was talking about how many grams and how.
- 27:29Speaker 2: No, No, Joelle, Yeah, tuna look tuna specifically because I
- 27:33Speaker 2: remember reading that being like, oh, you're allowed to have
- 27:35Speaker 2: rat parts in your tuna. By the way, my episode
- 27:41Speaker 2: is supposed to have Cat Stevens Here Comes My Baby,
- 27:43Speaker 2: but I didn't have it on there. Did you guys
- 27:45Speaker 2: have it?
- 27:46Speaker 5: No?
- 27:46Speaker 3: I think it's on the DVD version.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Oh see, this is one of those examples of they
- 27:50Speaker 2: replaced the song. I definitely didn't have that beautiful Cat
- 27:53Speaker 2: Stephens song Here Comes My Baby.
- 27:54Speaker 1: And I found it very interesting in this episode that
- 27:58Speaker 1: a bunch of doctors didn't know where the g spot was.
- 28:01Speaker 2: M Well, I found that Sarah's character to know the
- 28:05Speaker 2: gees no, and the young she was a nurse. She
- 28:08Speaker 2: was a young nurse.
- 28:09Speaker 1: That doesn't mean listen man, come on, now, come on, buddy.
- 28:13Speaker 2: I think that that it wasn't like she was that
- 28:16Speaker 2: particular young woman didn't know And because Sarah was being
- 28:19Speaker 2: slut shamed by the way, this episode is about someone
- 28:21Speaker 2: being slut shamed. Yeah, and uh yeah, Sarah is slutshained
- 28:26Speaker 2: by the entire hospital because she had a one night stand.
- 28:30Speaker 1: That's I find that very interesting. And this is an
- 28:33Speaker 1: age old argument, but I find it very interesting that
- 28:37Speaker 1: women aren't allowed to or in society society base women
- 28:42Speaker 1: aren't allowed to be as sexual as they want to
- 28:47Speaker 1: be without being shamed for it.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Yeah. I think that's ridiculous too, and I think this
- 28:52Speaker 2: episode early on was trying to was trying to point
- 28:54Speaker 2: it out how boll shit. It was also Sarah's looking
- 28:57Speaker 2: for some sort of identity. Elliott's looking for some sort
- 28:59Speaker 2: of identity in the hospital. She doesn't really have any.
- 29:03Speaker 2: You and Judy tell her that her only an identity
- 29:05Speaker 2: is being white, and and she's looking for something that
- 29:10Speaker 2: will help her stand out. So then as much as
- 29:12Speaker 2: she doesn't like the attention she gets for this one
- 29:15Speaker 2: night stand, she's then starting to enjoy it a little
- 29:17Speaker 2: bit because she's like, oh, I love you know. Towards
- 29:20Speaker 2: the end she starts like feeling it a little bit.
- 29:22Speaker 2: She's like, I'm Elliott Reid tramp.
- 29:28Speaker 1: But there's nothing. That's the one thing that I'm that
- 29:31Speaker 1: I find. It's just a little weird to me because
- 29:36Speaker 1: you know, a guy sleeps with a lot of girls
- 29:38Speaker 1: and he can still be looked at as a stud.
- 29:40Speaker 1: A girl sleeps with a lot of guys, she's a slut.
- 29:42Speaker 2: You know, why is that?
- 29:44Speaker 1: Why is that I understand I don't. I don't understand
- 29:46Speaker 1: it either.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Because's body needs to be a commodity and so it
- 29:50Speaker 3: can be tarn ish. Where it's a guy, I can't
- 29:51Speaker 3: charge his body because not worth than anything other than
- 29:53Speaker 3: what you can fite for. But if a girl's body
- 29:56Speaker 3: is violated, then when she worth marrying. And we just
- 29:59Speaker 3: haven't let go of that thought process.
- 30:01Speaker 4: That's stupid.
- 30:02Speaker 1: That's some stupid ass ship right there, Joelle. That can't
- 30:06Speaker 1: I can't get over that.
- 30:07Speaker 2: It is real talk though, that it's bullshit that there
- 30:09Speaker 2: is a double standard and women can't do all the
- 30:12Speaker 2: fun adventures.
- 30:14Speaker 1: No, they can't.
- 30:14Speaker 2: They're going to get shamed for it.
- 30:16Speaker 4: I know.
- 30:16Speaker 2: But that's bullshit.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Yeah it is.
- 30:18Speaker 2: I agree, that's fucking bullshit. All the guys. The whole
- 30:21Speaker 2: point in this episode is these guys, all these these
- 30:23Speaker 2: Manto surgeons are all chest bumping and high fiving and
- 30:27Speaker 2: talking about women. And then Sarah like goes and has
- 30:29Speaker 2: a one night stand and the whole hospital is talking
- 30:32Speaker 2: about it, and everyone's staring at her, and everyone's giggling,
- 30:35Speaker 2: and everyone's and and this game of telephone goes around
- 30:38Speaker 2: the whole hospital until finally it gets whispered in her
- 30:41Speaker 2: ear and she's like listening and she's, wait, I'm Elliott Reid.
- 30:48Speaker 1: And you didn't laugh at that. You didn't think that
- 30:49Speaker 1: was funny.
- 30:50Speaker 2: I thought that was funny. I thought Sarah was funny
- 30:52Speaker 2: in this. She made me laugh a few times. And
- 30:53Speaker 2: Rob made me laugh a few times when he when
- 30:55Speaker 2: when he and he's when he's doing his motor boating,
- 31:00Speaker 2: I mean, he does some funny.
- 31:02Speaker 1: I laughed. I thought it was real cool the way
- 31:05Speaker 1: it was shot me high fiving all of my friends.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Yeah that was and all of that stuff, and then
- 31:09Speaker 2: it cuts to me and go, bye bye TK.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I thought that was very funny.
- 31:13Speaker 2: What about your lisp which is really prominent, and you go,
- 31:15Speaker 2: it's very I wrote it down. You wrote my back
- 31:19Speaker 2: is as swollen as Elliott's big ass breath, sir, horrible.
- 31:26Speaker 2: How many more episodes do we have to endure this lisp?
- 31:28Speaker 1: I think it's like six or seven episodes before Bill
- 31:31Speaker 1: was fired, Like, you gotta cut that shit.
- 31:32Speaker 2: And now I see what Bill? And these are the
- 31:34Speaker 2: takes Bill chose. Yeah, and I'm sure you made you
- 31:37Speaker 2: a d r A, but adr it any better because
- 31:39Speaker 2: you got the fucking list.
- 31:40Speaker 1: It's That's one thing that changed a lot throughout Scrubs
- 31:45Speaker 1: was my my teeth. You know what I mean. I
- 31:47Speaker 1: went from really tiny teeth to medium sized teeth to
- 31:51Speaker 1: season nine when I freaking get my teeth picked like
- 31:54Speaker 1: in season nine, I have temporaries and so you'll notice
- 31:57Speaker 1: it when we start watching. My teeth look like fucking
- 32:00Speaker 1: got you know, I got jacked up teeth, you know
- 32:03Speaker 1: what I mean?
- 32:04Speaker 2: How many how many types? How many different rounds of
- 32:06Speaker 2: teeth have you had? I've had like four, oh my god,
- 32:10Speaker 2: see how your baby teeth? Right, baby, the baby teeth
- 32:13Speaker 2: that I started with.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Then we then I tried to correct the baby teeth
- 32:16Speaker 1: that I When I look back at it now, I'm like,
- 32:18Speaker 1: I wish I didn't correct it because my smile was
- 32:20Speaker 1: so youthful. But it was because I had teeth of
- 32:23Speaker 1: a child.
- 32:23Speaker 2: But I have a question, did your teeth? Did your
- 32:25Speaker 2: baby teeth never fall out?
- 32:27Speaker 1: They did, except for one one didn't fall out and
- 32:29Speaker 1: it was stuck.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Why didn't you have it pulled?
- 32:32Speaker 1: Because the big tooth grew around it and I would
- 32:35Speaker 1: have had a big gap in my uh in my
- 32:39Speaker 1: mouth from that happening.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Okay, did not take you to the dentist or some shit.
- 32:44Speaker 1: They did, But I didn't want to get braces. I
- 32:47Speaker 1: was like, get the fuck out, I'm not getting braces.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Ironic, And then ironically, your most famous role was having
- 32:52Speaker 2: braces to hide your fucked up teeth.
- 32:54Speaker 1: To hide my fucked up teeth.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Okay, So then we're in scrubs and you get your
- 32:58Speaker 2: teeth Redney, and then you had them redone again.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Well I got them redone. I got a bridge put in,
- 33:05Speaker 1: and then one night, while eating uh from green Blatz.
- 33:08Speaker 1: I was eating a Rubert Postrami Ruben sandwich from Green
- 33:11Speaker 1: Blats and the bread was extra hard, and I broke
- 33:16Speaker 1: my bridge. And so when I went back to get
- 33:19Speaker 1: the bridge fixed, he was like, why don't we just
- 33:20Speaker 1: put a screw in it and there you won't ever
- 33:24Speaker 1: have to worry about a bridge again. I was like,
- 33:25Speaker 1: all right, fine, let's do that shit. And then the
- 33:28Speaker 1: screw that they the faked tooth that they put in
- 33:32Speaker 1: was bigger than all the teeth in my mouth. And
- 33:35Speaker 1: so I was like, all right, now we got to
- 33:36Speaker 1: fix this. Now, I gotta for symmetry purposes, let's fix
- 33:40Speaker 1: the whole thing. And that's how That's how it happened.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Now these do these ones come out at night? You
- 33:44Speaker 2: put them in like a cup.
- 33:51Speaker 1: They're not dentures, Oh I pictures.
- 33:53Speaker 2: They pop them out at night. Do you put that
- 34:00Speaker 2: little tablet in there?
- 34:01Speaker 1: I don't like you right now with my grandfather, you.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Put that a little bubbly tablet in there.
- 34:09Speaker 1: It's real funny when Mike, when when I vented my
- 34:11Speaker 1: grandfather and he would wake up in the morning and
- 34:13Speaker 1: didn't have his teeth in how its face looked. I
- 34:15Speaker 1: could only imagine me right now with no teeth in
- 34:17Speaker 1: my mouth.
- 34:18Speaker 2: Oh my god, it's not a good look. It's not
- 34:21Speaker 2: it's a good book for hey, listen, I can be
- 34:23Speaker 2: self deprecating about my appearance as well. I have no chin,
- 34:26Speaker 2: and that really you know, a lot of times the
- 34:29Speaker 2: cinematographer and the director would shoot me in a way
- 34:31Speaker 2: that I I didn't mind the way I looked, but
- 34:35Speaker 2: this episode in particular, I could going, Oh, that is
- 34:37Speaker 2: not a good angle I have. I just have no chin.
- 34:41Speaker 1: I disagree with that.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Someone once wrote about me like some like reporter was
- 34:49Speaker 2: like writing a review, and I'm like, the chinless brath.
- 34:53Speaker 1: See, that's some bullshit, and that's tab that's a tabloid
- 34:58Speaker 1: speaking right now.
- 34:59Speaker 2: It was obviously it obviously wasn't a nice person, but
- 35:02Speaker 2: that's what they wrote.
- 35:03Speaker 1: There's no way that's a respectable journalist, you know what
- 35:06Speaker 1: I mean. Anybody who's gonna sit there and make fun
- 35:09Speaker 1: of someone's appearance to describe them is not a real
- 35:14Speaker 1: journalist because we all come in different I'm.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Saying if I were to get dancers like yours, I
- 35:18Speaker 2: would get like chin dentures.
- 35:20Speaker 1: I don't have dentures. You fucking let's go to break.
- 35:23Speaker 1: We gotta go to break. Let's go to break. We'll
- 35:25Speaker 1: be right back.
- 35:32Speaker 2: I'm just saying, if they made like a chin, I
- 35:34Speaker 2: know they make chin implants, but I'm not gonna go
- 35:36Speaker 2: have surgery. But if they were like a temporary thing,
- 35:38Speaker 2: like it was like a equivalent of dentures. But it
- 35:40Speaker 2: just kind of clipped on and made me look like
- 35:43Speaker 2: I had a bigger chin, maybe I'll get a prosthetic
- 35:46Speaker 2: for like one of my roles, one of my movie parts.
- 35:49Speaker 2: You know, I feel that way about my hair, man,
- 35:51Speaker 2: I feel that way about my hair. You know a
- 35:53Speaker 2: lot of people are blessed with a lot of hair.
- 35:56Speaker 2: I have hair that is leaving me. It's get plugs though,
- 36:00Speaker 2: No black people can't get plugs. Why.
- 36:03Speaker 1: It just doesn't do well, Like it doesn't do well
- 36:05Speaker 1: with the with the the healing process and all of
- 36:09Speaker 1: these other things. They don't. It just doesn't if you
- 36:12Speaker 1: look it up, African American hair doesn't do well with
- 36:15Speaker 1: hair plugs. That's why in all the Bosley commercials it's
- 36:18Speaker 1: mostly white men.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Oh I never knew that. Yeah, what about it to
- 36:22Speaker 2: you pay?
- 36:23Speaker 1: What about you kiss my ass? What about let's get
- 36:26Speaker 1: back into the show.
- 36:27Speaker 3: Jamie Fox has a great one.
- 36:30Speaker 1: Well, I don't know that. I know that. I know
- 36:33Speaker 1: that Jamie does wear his hair. Okay, is this something
- 36:39Speaker 1: we can talk about?
- 36:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's halfway pictures. I don't have the
- 36:42Speaker 3: real skinny on what's going on, but you can see
- 36:45Speaker 3: that that Lebron James to get here like constantly.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Well that's the greatest comeback ever in sports history right there.
- 36:51Speaker 1: It's his hairline.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Dude, Lebron's guy.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Lebron was bold.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Dude, why do you call Lebron's guy? I'm sure because
- 36:59Speaker 2: you know what I think.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Lebron did the hair plugs and it worked for him
- 37:04Speaker 1: because he has the scar on his head. Now that's
- 37:06Speaker 1: the problem with hair plugs. You had to get a
- 37:08Speaker 1: scar on your head.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Do you want me to call Lebron and ask him
- 37:11Speaker 2: who did his plugs? Because I'm making another Cultuy, I'm
- 37:14Speaker 2: calling Figgy, I'm calling Sean Bailey. Do you want me
- 37:16Speaker 2: to add Lebron?
- 37:17Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 37:17Speaker 2: Sure, okay, Lebron hair plugs for Donald. Got a lot
- 37:21Speaker 2: of calls to me today.
- 37:23Speaker 1: The funniest part, Well, Malcolm McConaughey, what the hell did
- 37:26Speaker 1: he do? Because that sit was on its way out,
- 37:28Speaker 1: and now he has a fullhead of hair. He looks
- 37:30Speaker 1: like freaking He's got a gold he's got golden locks, he's.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Got a mane. You know what.
- 37:37Speaker 2: The funniest part of this episode is what's that Ted's office? Yeah,
- 37:41Speaker 2: we see Ted's office for the first time, and I
- 37:45Speaker 2: wrote it down. He's so funny. I told him that
- 37:47Speaker 2: he has anosma, Ted Lang and he goes, you cut
- 37:51Speaker 2: off someone's nose. Where is it? Do you have it
- 37:54Speaker 2: with you? You're disgusting, get rid of the nose. And
- 38:00Speaker 2: then I go, Ted, just calm out. He goes, maybe
- 38:01Speaker 2: you should calm down, and then he goes to his
- 38:07Speaker 2: file folder and pulls it out and fills out a
- 38:10Speaker 2: file that says, oh, we don't have to worry, it's
- 38:12Speaker 2: not our fault. And then I go, okay, thanks Ted,
- 38:14Speaker 2: and he goes, it's my birthday and You're like what,
- 38:17Speaker 2: And I'm like what and he goes nothing, and I
- 38:19Speaker 2: leave and he goes to himself and many more.
- 38:24Speaker 1: And it pays off in the end. It pays off
- 38:27Speaker 1: in the end when Judy's like when Judy goes and
- 38:29Speaker 1: tells Kelso about Cox actually not making a mistake, and
- 38:34Speaker 1: the hospital won't get sued, right, And he's like, now
- 38:37Speaker 1: get out of here because he's pissed that he can't
- 38:39Speaker 1: barade cocks. And you know, make Cox feel low because
- 38:43Speaker 1: I get out here because I'm about to make somebody hurt.
- 38:45Speaker 1: And here comes Ted with his cupcake.
- 38:47Speaker 2: Yeah, for his birthday. He's got a cupcake with a
- 38:51Speaker 2: candle in it that he's lit for himself.
- 38:54Speaker 1: He's like, you mind if I sit down, if I
- 38:55Speaker 1: sit down.
- 38:56Speaker 2: And kills He's like, yes, please, by all means. That's
- 39:00Speaker 2: so funny. How great is Sam Lloyd?
- 39:02Speaker 1: Sam Lloyd amazing? Rest in peace? Sam Lloyd so amazing
- 39:06Speaker 1: on this we.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Speaking of rest in peace. I got to mention that
- 39:09Speaker 2: that beautiful woman from Glee who they who they found today?
- 39:15Speaker 1: Yeah, they found they found they found a body. They haven't.
- 39:18Speaker 1: TMZ says it's a they haven't.
- 39:21Speaker 2: That is the most tragic fucking story. I mean, people
- 39:23Speaker 2: are just dying in the most horrible ways. It feels
- 39:26Speaker 2: like lately yeah, and and and and I don't know,
- 39:31Speaker 2: I thought that that that she I never met her
- 39:33Speaker 2: in real life, but man, she was so talented and
- 39:36Speaker 2: out on a boat with her kid. I mean, fucking hell.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's uh, it's really crazy. Kelly Preston, Kelly Preston
- 39:46Speaker 1: rest in peace. Yeah, yeah, crazy.
- 39:50Speaker 3: And you guys, Russell Westbrook was just chested positive for
- 39:53Speaker 3: COVID nineteen.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Wow, who's that? I'm sorry.
- 39:58Speaker 1: So, Russell Westbrook is is one of the NBA's elite players.
- 40:02Speaker 1: He's the only NBA player since Bill No since Oscar
- 40:07Speaker 1: Robertson to average a triple double for an entire season.
- 40:10Speaker 1: He's done it for a couple of seasons. Uh, and
- 40:13Speaker 1: he just tested positive for COVID. That's crazy.
- 40:16Speaker 2: So the basketball season is not going to really be
- 40:18Speaker 2: able to happen, right.
- 40:19Speaker 1: They're all in a bubble. Listen, if golf can happen,
- 40:22Speaker 1: if all of these.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Golf is different golf, you're out on your own. These
- 40:25Speaker 2: guys are going to be bumping up against each other.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Yeah. But if you can can that's the whole thing.
- 40:30Speaker 1: If you can contain the virus in that bubble and
- 40:33Speaker 1: it not blow up in that bubble, you can then
- 40:38Speaker 1: have a season. The problem. You would do it if
- 40:41Speaker 1: I could, If you could safely tell me that everyone
- 40:45Speaker 1: is being tested going into this bubble, yeah, I would
- 40:48Speaker 1: do it. So what's that's like going and doing a
- 40:51Speaker 1: movie right now, they would assure you they're not going
- 40:54Speaker 1: to be able to I totally agree, but if they
- 40:57Speaker 1: could assure you, we'll have everybody crew included, and food
- 41:02Speaker 1: being made within everything, catering everything. No one leaves this
- 41:07Speaker 1: bubble after you've been tested and you get tested regularly.
- 41:11Speaker 7: And then it all it takes is one person to
- 41:13Speaker 7: go make that mistake. Yeah, Beard fa says in the
- 41:16Speaker 7: background in this episode, Yeah, good to see mckhead is
- 41:19Speaker 7: in this episode. Mickhead is one of the guys ogling
- 41:22Speaker 7: Sarah Chalk.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Yes, at the end of the episode.
- 41:25Speaker 2: Yeah, lots of men are What about when Todd is
- 41:29Speaker 2: playing the bongos on doctor Amato's head, that's funny.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that is very funny to me. How about, uh,
- 41:35Speaker 1: would you say doctor Amato?
- 41:37Speaker 2: Doctor Almao?
- 41:38Speaker 1: Yeah, what did you say before that?
- 41:39Speaker 2: But you say something wrong, Doctor Amato. By the way,
- 41:44Speaker 2: they couldn't have found a shorter actor, and so there's
- 41:47Speaker 2: there's all this like creative camera work to try and
- 41:49Speaker 2: make him seem shorter than he actually is.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:53Speaker 2: I mean, the guy did a great job, but I
- 41:55Speaker 2: don't know why they didn't just hire a shorter person.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Yeah, there's one shot where at the end it's definitely
- 42:02Speaker 1: a camera up high on a high angle looking down
- 42:07Speaker 1: at him, and then on a camera on a low
- 42:08Speaker 1: angle looking Yeah, they.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Had to accentuate it to make it. I mean, he's
- 42:12Speaker 2: sure he's a short man, but I.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Mean they tried to make him hobbit short though.
- 42:16Speaker 2: Yeah, they tried to. They tried to do some Hobbit ship, right, Yeah,
- 42:19Speaker 2: you really like cheated the size of him. Yeah, that's funny.
- 42:23Speaker 2: When she Elliot's talking about you know, when she gets
- 42:25Speaker 2: into it, but she says, I'm Elliott Reid Tramp. She
- 42:27Speaker 2: starts to get into it, and she's like, I told
- 42:29Speaker 2: I told her the only two sexual positions I know,
- 42:31Speaker 2: and then I just started naming bugs. And then she goes,
- 42:35Speaker 2: the thing is she said, she already tried stink bug.
- 42:40Speaker 2: That was funny.
- 42:43Speaker 1: We should talk about this bingo game that everybody's been
- 42:45Speaker 1: playing now that Joel brought to our attention.
- 42:48Speaker 2: I brought it to your attention.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Well, Joel brought it to your attention.
- 42:51Speaker 2: You know, she didn't you. Oh, I saw it on Twitter.
- 42:57Speaker 2: It was amazing.
- 42:58Speaker 1: That's pretty cool. Uh, you already said quite a few
- 43:02Speaker 1: things from the I was on time, are you playing
- 43:05Speaker 1: the game?
- 43:06Speaker 5: And no?
- 43:06Speaker 1: But I looked at and I was like, wow, this
- 43:07Speaker 1: is really interesting. These are our habits that we seem
- 43:10Speaker 1: to do in every episode or almost every episode, enough
- 43:14Speaker 1: so that somebody can play a game of bingo.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Right, I don't have it in front of me. What
- 43:18Speaker 2: were some of the things?
- 43:19Speaker 1: Well, you saying that's funny?
- 43:21Speaker 2: Have I said that so far?
- 43:23Speaker 1: You said that several times?
- 43:24Speaker 4: So far?
- 43:25Speaker 1: Okay, me being late, me saying you know what I mean?
- 43:29Speaker 1: Us arguing, us arguing, five, six, seven, eight, Yeah, you singing,
- 43:38Speaker 1: me singing?
- 43:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh, I think it's when Joel or Dan speaks.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Both happened.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think we.
- 43:44Speaker 2: Got every everyone covered. Joel, what are some of the
- 43:47Speaker 2: other ones? You have it up in front of you.
- 43:49Speaker 3: I was trying to look for it so we could
- 43:50Speaker 3: give credit.
- 43:51Speaker 2: It was on Twitter. Yeah, someone made a fake Doctor's
- 43:54Speaker 2: Real Friends Bingo card.
- 43:57Speaker 4: Hey.
- 43:57Speaker 2: By the way, I was thinking, you know now that
- 43:58Speaker 2: Europe is is really conquered this we could go tour
- 44:03Speaker 2: do this show and tour it across Europe that they
- 44:07Speaker 2: let us in. Oh that's right, we're not allowed in
- 44:12Speaker 2: way we're allowed in the UK. We could just tour
- 44:14Speaker 2: the UK.
- 44:17Speaker 1: We we'd.
- 44:19Speaker 2: Oh man, all right, imagine Europe starts letting us in again,
- 44:24Speaker 2: because this country, I'm sorry, we are so fucked with
- 44:28Speaker 2: this virus right now and it's not getting any better.
- 44:32Speaker 2: So I thought you and I should go on a
- 44:34Speaker 2: European tour and we're gonna tour fake doctors, real friends around.
- 44:38Speaker 2: We're gonna bring Joel and Daniel. We're gonna get a
- 44:41Speaker 2: big ass tour bus, and we're gonna make the fake
- 44:43Speaker 2: doctor's real friends express.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Wow, let's fucking do it. Let's do it like a
- 44:48Speaker 1: national Lampoon's European tour.
- 44:50Speaker 2: Yeah, we're gonna go on all the adventures. We're gonna
- 44:54Speaker 2: do this show live in front of people. They're gonna
- 44:56Speaker 2: come to the theater. I mean, you know, I'm not
- 44:58Speaker 2: talking about tomorrow because we're not allowed in Europe anyway,
- 45:00Speaker 2: but I'm saying like soon, all.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Right, I'm down for that, you know. The second the
- 45:04Speaker 1: second started up talking about touring recently, So maybe that's.
- 45:08Speaker 2: What I just think. I'm tired of being in my
- 45:10Speaker 2: house and I know you are too, And what if
- 45:13Speaker 2: there was a way once Europe allows American citizens back in.
- 45:17Speaker 2: How embarrassing is that sentence?
- 45:21Speaker 1: Do you know?
- 45:21Speaker 2: I think I read online there's like only twenty or
- 45:23Speaker 2: twenty five countries that US citizens are currently allowed into.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Fucking I read another, I read another, I read another.
- 45:33Speaker 1: I read another article where it said Florida is the
- 45:36Speaker 1: fourth highest country, not fourth highest country, but it has
- 45:41Speaker 1: uh it's the fourth highest in all of the world
- 45:45Speaker 1: countries included uh COVID. Yeah, it goes something like Germany,
- 45:51Speaker 1: so another country, the United States of America, and then Florida.
- 45:55Speaker 2: Yeah, the Santus nailed it, nailed it.
- 45:59Speaker 3: The this let's do a real quick pick up here
- 46:02Speaker 3: with the fake doctor jil Friend's bingo. Okay, so the
- 46:06Speaker 3: person who created is on Twitter as at Brown Underscore, Bear, Underscore,
- 46:11Speaker 3: Moby mob e.
- 46:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:14Speaker 3: Some of the other topics that would have you been
- 46:16Speaker 3: able to put on your thing today is Donald does
- 46:20Speaker 3: an Oprah impression.
- 46:23Speaker 2: No wait, we haven't gotten there yet, but he's gonna
- 46:25Speaker 2: do it when we have the guests. So you would
- 46:26Speaker 2: have had.
- 46:28Speaker 3: Ask Bill star Wars talk o, my.
- 46:31Speaker 2: God, star Wars talk.
- 46:35Speaker 3: Ringtone reference, Willy talk.
- 46:37Speaker 2: We haven't Oh yeah, we did Willy talk a little.
- 46:40Speaker 2: We haven't not a ringtone reference, get your ringtones, another one,
- 46:45Speaker 2: another one.
- 46:47Speaker 3: And essential workers shout out, you haven't.
- 46:50Speaker 2: Done that yet.
- 46:50Speaker 1: We will haven't done that yet. That's at the end
- 46:51Speaker 1: of the show and someone talks about wanting.
- 46:53Speaker 2: A huge top. I do want to hug you now,
- 46:57Speaker 2: So there you go. Wow. Listen, whoever brown Bear, Moby,
- 47:03Speaker 2: you did a good job because everybody would would have
- 47:07Speaker 2: had a full Bengo card. So you guys can get
- 47:10Speaker 2: your go get your fake doctor. Maybe we should we
- 47:12Speaker 2: should put that up on the maybe put a link
- 47:15Speaker 2: to it, Joelle, where can you put it?
- 47:17Speaker 1: That's a good idea maybe we can make since we've
- 47:20Speaker 1: got all of this merch coming our way. Yeah merch,
- 47:23Speaker 1: and it's coming soon people, so just hang on, hang
- 47:26Speaker 1: in there. Yeah, maybe that's how we do it. If
- 47:29Speaker 1: you can get your Bingo card into Joel the first one.
- 47:34Speaker 1: How do we do that where we play a big
- 47:37Speaker 1: ass Bingo game and if we fulfill your card, we
- 47:41Speaker 1: should start. There's got to be a way to do
- 47:43Speaker 1: it where we hand out Bengo cards via either email
- 47:47Speaker 1: or a website where you sign up and you get
- 47:50Speaker 1: a Bengo.
- 47:51Speaker 2: That sounds like so much work. How about we just
- 47:53Speaker 2: put this dude's Bengo card like on a T shirt.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Because it's the same big Well that's fine too, but
- 47:57Speaker 1: it's the same Bengo card.
- 47:58Speaker 2: Though people aren't going to really play it. It's just
- 48:00Speaker 2: the inside joke of it all.
- 48:01Speaker 1: No, one doesn't want to fucking play Bingo.
- 48:03Speaker 2: You think you be like, Okay, the show is starting,
- 48:05Speaker 2: I get my card out. No, it's not gonna tipen
- 48:07Speaker 2: and it's just a joke.
- 48:07Speaker 1: They were getting the booze out when the show started.
- 48:10Speaker 2: Yeah, but they said, like someone told me I read
- 48:12Speaker 2: on one of the comments was good thing this isn't
- 48:14Speaker 2: a drinking game, because we'd all be ship faced.
- 48:18Speaker 3: I was going to say, so, you guys do have
- 48:20Speaker 3: from our kimbucha friends GTS Kombucha. Uh, they are offering
- 48:24Speaker 3: to send free kombucha to you the fans. We can
- 48:26Speaker 3: either do it through or if you guys mister Groundbear,
- 48:30Speaker 3: I can reach out him and say thank you for
- 48:32Speaker 3: the Bingo card.
- 48:33Speaker 2: Yes, that's a good idea.
- 48:35Speaker 1: That's a great I discovered a new flavor of GT
- 48:38Speaker 1: kombuchacha Gingerberry. Oh, ginger Berry, it is good, you know.
- 48:45Speaker 2: I went to air Onan the health food store here
- 48:47Speaker 2: and I didn't know that there were like so many
- 48:50Speaker 2: flavors of g t's kobucha. I just know the ones
- 48:52Speaker 2: they sent us to. You know, there's like there's so
- 48:54Speaker 2: many flavors. They had a wholefrigerator rack.
- 48:57Speaker 4: It was like.
- 48:59Speaker 1: Ginger Berry, he's good, hold on one second.
- 49:03Speaker 2: He's probably going to get it. So that's a good idea, Joelle.
- 49:06Speaker 2: We could I think we give a prize to a
- 49:11Speaker 2: fan of a fan of a fan, a deserving fan
- 49:13Speaker 2: of the week, and I think the month of the month, okay,
- 49:18Speaker 2: because we're not gonna get it that much of the month.
- 49:20Speaker 2: So this one's this month's prize. We'll go to brown
- 49:24Speaker 2: Bear Moby yeah a mob for his uh for his
- 49:30Speaker 2: genius fake Doctor's Real Friends bingo card. Thank you.
- 49:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll hit him up on Twitter now and I'll
- 49:35Speaker 3: let a know we picked a winner.
- 49:38Speaker 2: Donald while you were away, we decided that we're going
- 49:40Speaker 2: to give our monthly GT's prize to the creator of
- 49:43Speaker 2: the Bingo card. Oh yeah, yeah, you are you okay
- 49:48Speaker 2: with that? And you're the co host, you're the co
- 49:50Speaker 2: creator of the show. Are you okay with that?
- 49:51Speaker 1: I'm fine, I'm fine with that. Uh, there you go.
- 49:56Speaker 1: So if you have interesting ideas for our show and
- 50:01Speaker 1: you want us to or merch ideas or merch ideas,
- 50:05Speaker 1: and you want to give us, give them to us.
- 50:10Speaker 1: You won't be just giving them to us. You will
- 50:12Speaker 1: receive a gift from us.
- 50:13Speaker 2: You might receive something as dope as a GT's Kimbucha
- 50:17Speaker 2: care package.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Let me tell you something right now, I drink it
- 50:20Speaker 1: every day.
- 50:21Speaker 2: I'm out, I'm out of my last shipment.
- 50:23Speaker 1: Now I go to the store and buy it now.
- 50:24Speaker 2: Oh yeah, now I'm gonna have to go buy it too.
- 50:27Speaker 2: Now I'm gonna have to go do what you're supposed
- 50:29Speaker 2: to do and go buy it.
- 50:30Speaker 1: It's delicious, man, it really is good. I do it.
- 50:34Speaker 1: I drink when I'm working out. I drink it when
- 50:36Speaker 1: I'm just chilling out in the house. Mmm hmm, you know. Mmm.
- 50:42Speaker 1: My wife's like, would you like another GT's Kimbucha? And
- 50:44Speaker 1: I look at it and I go another.
- 50:45Speaker 2: One, another one. But you remember, you're only supposed to
- 50:49Speaker 2: have three a day. Now, that's what GT himself told us.
- 50:52Speaker 1: That's right, another one. Let's take a break.
- 50:54Speaker 2: We'll be right back after these fine words.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Hello, Jamie Cylander, how do you say your name? Jamie,
- 51:18Speaker 1: there's the.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Last thing for your bingo card Donald doing Oprah voice.
- 51:23Speaker 1: How's it go over?
- 51:25Speaker 2: How are you good? Good to see you. Welcome to
- 51:28Speaker 2: Fake Doctor's Real Friends with Donald, Faison's, Zach Braff, Daniel
- 51:33Speaker 2: Goodman and Joelle Monique. Where are you calling from? Jeanie Toronto?
- 51:40Speaker 1: Or she got her she got her championship T shirt
- 51:43Speaker 1: on you all. She's flashing a Toronto Raptors championship T shirt.
- 51:48Speaker 1: Too bad they lost your boy last year when they
- 51:52Speaker 1: lost Kawhi Leonard. But yeah, you guys are still really
- 51:56Speaker 1: you got not only are you. I'm gonna be honest
- 51:58Speaker 1: with you. I thought you guys were gonna be I
- 52:00Speaker 1: told you guys were gonna suck this year. But Pascal Suyakam,
- 52:03Speaker 1: Holy shit, he can play ball. Your point guard, which
- 52:08Speaker 1: is think Mike ja Minsky. No, it's not Mike Jaminsky.
- 52:12Speaker 1: I forget his name. He has a he has a
- 52:15Speaker 1: very unique name.
- 52:16Speaker 2: It's like Otis bird song.
- 52:18Speaker 1: No, it's not Otis Bird's song.
- 52:20Speaker 4: Uh.
- 52:20Speaker 1: Anyway, he stepped up. He's now averaging sixteen points a game.
- 52:25Speaker 3: Uh.
- 52:25Speaker 1: You guys got a little bit of a crew over there.
- 52:27Speaker 2: Jamie Donald said that he wanted to live in Toronto
- 52:31Speaker 2: if he could live anywhere.
- 52:32Speaker 1: I know, I love that.
- 52:34Speaker 4: I was so excited.
- 52:35Speaker 1: You should. I love that city. Yeah, it's my kind
- 52:38Speaker 1: of town, you know what I mean?
- 52:39Speaker 2: What's a good What do you have a favorite bar
- 52:41Speaker 2: Jamie that Donald and I should go to when more
- 52:43Speaker 2: in Toronto.
- 52:46Speaker 1: And when we're in the six.
- 52:49Speaker 5: Honestly, I feel like Toronto food is the best.
- 52:52Speaker 2: So okay, what's your favorite restaurant we should go to?
- 52:55Speaker 2: Is there a restaurant you should recommend?
- 52:57Speaker 1: Well, that's the thing about Toronto. Toronto is so dope
- 52:59Speaker 1: because it's not it's not American food. It's not americanized.
- 53:04Speaker 1: So it's not like, you know, you go and get
- 53:06Speaker 1: Italian American food, or you go get or you go
- 53:09Speaker 1: get Ethiopian American food. You actually go get food from
- 53:13Speaker 1: the culture. So Italian is actually the people that are
- 53:16Speaker 1: that live in Little Italy aren't necessarily from Canada. They're
- 53:22Speaker 1: from Italy and have moved too Little Italy in Toronto,
- 53:26Speaker 1: so everything's very authentic when it.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Comes to that sounds good. I just thought Jamie might
- 53:31Speaker 2: be like, oh my god, you have to try such
- 53:32Speaker 2: and such.
- 53:35Speaker 1: She's in and out is an amazing burger.
- 53:37Speaker 2: Like I say, if you come to Los Angeles, you
- 53:39Speaker 2: have to try Salts Cure. It's like the best restaurant
- 53:42Speaker 2: in town.
- 53:42Speaker 4: Isn't that that.
- 53:43Speaker 1: Restaurant that you own.
- 53:44Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's good. Come out that place, salts ci
- 53:47Speaker 2: They do have a great brunch.
- 53:48Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, salt does have a great brunch.
- 53:51Speaker 2: I know, Jamie. Sorry, this episode that you just joined
- 53:55Speaker 2: has really gone off the rails today. It's all over
- 53:57Speaker 2: the place, but it will always be remembered as a
- 54:00Speaker 2: crazy one. Do you have a question for Oprah over here? Yes?
- 54:04Speaker 2: I do.
- 54:06Speaker 5: You said that memorizing lines were really difficult for you,
- 54:11Speaker 5: so I'm wondering when you had to do the episode
- 54:14Speaker 5: where you were speaking in Spanish, how did that go
- 54:17Speaker 5: for you.
- 54:18Speaker 1: I don't remember, to be honest with you, but I
- 54:21Speaker 1: imagine I Judy was hanging out around the set to
- 54:25Speaker 1: make sure I said my lines correctly, if I remember
- 54:28Speaker 1: correct I remember, I believe that was the case. But
- 54:33Speaker 1: I didn't have to speak a lot of Spanish. I
- 54:34Speaker 1: had to speak very little Spanish. I think Turk spoke
- 54:37Speaker 1: poor Spanish as a matter of fact, didn't he or yeah,
- 54:40Speaker 1: learning it so he could talk to Carla's brother who
- 54:44Speaker 1: spoke Spanish and he kept messing up anyway.
- 54:47Speaker 2: Oh, I forgot about your whole nemesis. That was her brother.
- 54:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna keep it one hundred with you, Jamie.
- 54:55Speaker 1: I I'm sure they fed me lines off camera, and
- 54:59Speaker 1: that's how I was able to do.
- 55:00Speaker 2: Donald's very good at mimicking Jamie, so he could, like
- 55:03Speaker 2: he can like mimic things really really well. So I'm
- 55:06Speaker 2: sure that someone was probably just saying it and he
- 55:08Speaker 2: was just like copying it.
- 55:10Speaker 1: Yeah, if you can listen, if you can make if
- 55:12Speaker 1: it's going to make my performance better, I have no
- 55:14Speaker 1: problems with line readings, but if it's not going to
- 55:16Speaker 1: make my performance better, please don't do it.
- 55:19Speaker 2: Yeah, well this wasn't wouldn't really be a line reading
- 55:21Speaker 2: if someone just saying repeat after me.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Sure if somebody was like saying like this, Kayota, is
- 55:26Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Okay, kayot I is you know?
- 55:30Speaker 1: I mean, that's a lot of reading that was perfect
- 55:32Speaker 1: said just like I said, good job.
- 55:35Speaker 2: What else?
- 55:35Speaker 1: Do you have another question? Do you have a question?
- 55:37Speaker 5: Yes, they do. I'm wondering because when I would watch
- 55:42Speaker 5: it back, I swear my thinking was in your voice over.
- 55:48Speaker 5: I'm wondering because you haven't really talked about the voiceover work,
- 55:51Speaker 5: So what was that process?
- 55:52Speaker 2: Like, that's a good question. No one has asked that.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Nobody's ever asked that.
- 55:56Speaker 2: By the way, Jamie, kudos to you, because after after
- 56:00Speaker 2: twenty years of being on the show, Donald and I
- 56:02Speaker 2: pretty much know the twenty questions we're gonna get asked,
- 56:05Speaker 2: and you have gone outside the box. No one has
- 56:08Speaker 2: ever asked me the voiceover process on set because we
- 56:12Speaker 2: had to time out. You know, a lot of times
- 56:14Speaker 2: our movement around there would be timed out for how
- 56:18Speaker 2: long my voiceover was. So in the rehearsal I would
- 56:21Speaker 2: read it just so everyone could get a sense of
- 56:23Speaker 2: its place in the scene. And then while we were
- 56:26Speaker 2: doing the scene, my stand in, whose name was Scott
- 56:29Speaker 2: rabbidou would would read it. So if we're in the
- 56:32Speaker 2: middle of a scene and you kind of you know,
- 56:33Speaker 2: we all had to pause for the voiceover, Scott Rabbitdo
- 56:37Speaker 2: would be off camera reading the voiceover. And then at
- 56:40Speaker 2: a certain point in the week I'd find a time
- 56:43Speaker 2: to go down. They built a sound booth studio into
- 56:50Speaker 2: the hospital, and I would go down into the sound
- 56:52Speaker 2: booth and record all my voiceovers for the episode, and
- 56:55Speaker 2: I'd go into the booth and I'd kind of read
- 56:58Speaker 2: each one three or four times, kind of trying different
- 57:02Speaker 2: ways of doing it, trying different speeds and doing them,
- 57:04Speaker 2: and that would those are what they'd use for editing.
- 57:07Speaker 2: Then there were times Bill would come, hey, will you
- 57:08Speaker 2: come in here. I want you to redo this one
- 57:10Speaker 2: for this reason, or hey, will you come into the
- 57:11Speaker 2: edit room. I rewrote this one, or hey, you got
- 57:13Speaker 2: to do this one way faster and wed tweak it
- 57:15Speaker 2: as we went along, but just so the editors had
- 57:17Speaker 2: something to work with, I would go in and kind
- 57:18Speaker 2: of lay them all down, and that's how it was done.
- 57:23Speaker 2: Very subtle thing that probably only sound engineers would notice
- 57:25Speaker 2: is there was a different microphone used for the boom
- 57:28Speaker 2: mic that was recording the actors on on set, versus
- 57:32Speaker 2: a sort of more voiceover style microphone for the voiceovers.
- 57:37Speaker 2: And they always added a tiny bit of little reverb,
- 57:39Speaker 2: but tiny bill little echo to the voiceovers, so that
- 57:42Speaker 2: if it was ever unclear, the audience in their head
- 57:44Speaker 2: could distinguish between a voiceover and JD really talking, which
- 57:48Speaker 2: would only happen sometimes if you were like if I
- 57:49Speaker 2: was off camera and they'd be like, wait, is JD
- 57:51Speaker 2: saying that out loud? Or is that a voiceover? So
- 57:53Speaker 2: they added this little bit of effect onto the voiceover.
- 57:56Speaker 2: If that not everyone.
- 57:57Speaker 1: Notices, that's great. Do you have another question? We'll give
- 58:01Speaker 1: you another one.
- 58:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that was such a good question, Jamie. Now you
- 58:03Speaker 2: really you really uh set the bar high.
- 58:07Speaker 5: I guess what is a scene that you can remember
- 58:11Speaker 5: that was just so funny? You guys could barely get
- 58:14Speaker 5: through it, Oh.
- 58:18Speaker 2: Singing guy, I love to each other. That when when
- 58:22Speaker 2: when he holds up his fist and I say, you're
- 58:25Speaker 2: the only man that's ever been inside of me and
- 58:29Speaker 2: you grab my fist yeah, and goes whoo who boa
- 58:32Speaker 2: I just took out his appendix and I clarify and
- 58:36Speaker 2: he goes, no, no, no, you go like this, You go,
- 58:39Speaker 2: oh no, oh no, I feel like we should clarify.
- 58:43Speaker 2: There's no need to clarify.
- 58:46Speaker 1: Oh no, just let it grow more and more each day.
- 58:52Speaker 2: It's like I married my best friend, but in.
- 58:55Speaker 1: A totally man louis Let's go.
- 58:59Speaker 2: I love what I love about the let's go is
- 59:01Speaker 2: the let's go was let's go to the end of
- 59:04Speaker 2: the bed. And sing.
- 59:05Speaker 1: So let's go.
- 59:07Speaker 2: Let's go guy, let's go to the Let's walk two
- 59:10Speaker 2: feet to the right and sing the rest of this song.
- 59:12Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 59:14Speaker 6: It's anyway guy love, compromise the feeling of some other guy,
- 59:22Speaker 6: guy holding.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Up your heart into the guy anyway there to share
- 59:30Speaker 1: through all the lows. I'll be there to share the heart.
- 59:35Speaker 2: Do your dear Michael Jackson thing. And when I say
- 59:43Speaker 2: I love you, turk, it's not what it employs.
- 59:49Speaker 1: It's guy love.
- 59:51Speaker 2: Between that sounds like Phantom of the Opera. But anyway,
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: look at that, Jamie, you got us to sing guy love.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: I wish I could send you gtscha, but Joel already
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: gave it away. They only get an We only get
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: one palette of months to give away.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Joe.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: We're gonna need more gifts to give to people because
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: you've got me on this. You know, on real radio shows.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: You're in a giving mood right now, dude, Well listen.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: You know on a real radio show they're always giving
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: away ship Here, I got two tickets to see Steely
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Dan whatever it is like, I really want to It
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: was the first thing again in my mind. I want
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: to give sh away. Babyface live at the Palladium.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Doing all that h I'll buy your clothes?
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Is that a Babyface song?
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: I'll pay your rent. I'll make your dinner for you
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: as soon as I get home from work out.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: That's the song I'll pay your rent.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: Dude. Baby Face could write songs about anything. He wrote
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: a song called Shoop and the whole song.
- 1:01:04Speaker 8: Is shoot Shoop Shoot, Shoot shoe Baboo, Shoot Shoot shoe baboo,
- 1:01:13Speaker 8: Shoot shoot chew baboo.

- 1:01:29Speaker 1: SI was the number one hit was number one. It
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: was one of Whitney Houston's biggest hits.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: Wait, didn't we go to Babyface's house once?
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: Yeah? Remember? Yes, that's right.
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: And I remember the Halloween.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Party at the freaking what you might call it at
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: the at the UH at the Playboy Mansion, and we
