- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: Good morning friends and enemies.
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: We are back with an updated list of my running back rankings July, twenty twenty five edition.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to make sure I keep rolling these out throughout the summer.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_00]: So we keep everything updated.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: These are broken down by tears.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: This is just the running back position.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: We will be doing the wide receiver version of this same thing on Monday.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: So if you want to see that one, make sure you subscribe to the channel.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: And as I explained in the last rankings video, I did a month ago a month and a half ago.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: The way that I'm breaking these rankings and these tiers down are more from a strategy standpoint.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: So they're all going to be tiers with names attached to them, how I think you should approach drafts.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: Not so much like draft RB- twelve over RB- thirteen, but here's a chunk of dudes that I would be fine structuring my team around if they were my RB-one type of beat.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to go down a list that way.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: I won't take too much time on each individual player, but more so pinpoint anyone that has changed into my rankings, moved tiers, or I have new thoughts on them from the last time I did this video.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll start at the very top and this is where we started last time.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: We have a tier by themselves that is just Mr. Sake Juan Barclay.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: He is my RB one.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_00]: I see very, very, very, very, very, very, very few flaws in his outlook for this year.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: He is the odds on favorite to repeat as the offense of player the year.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: Five to one odds.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: No one else is even in the triple digit odds there.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: You could say what you want about Sake Juan and his touch count.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to buy into the, to the Madden curse.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to buy into that.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he's going to break down whatever.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_00]: Sake Juan is my RB one.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: into tier two.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: Tier two is basically elite, but just not say one.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: This is Bion and Jamir Gibbs.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: I personally like Bion a little bit more.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's got the workhorse ability out there in Atlanta.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_00]: We saw what he did with Michael Pinnick's towards the end of the year.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: He was a guy that was legit averaging twenty five touches per game, twenty five opportunities per game over the second half of the year.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: That's just going to flood into twenty twenty five.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I think B-John at fourteen to one for offense player.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: The year is actually one of the better bets on the board.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: But B-John two, do me your Gibbs three.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: I have Gibbs a little bit lower just because when Dave and Montgomery's back, we're not exactly sure how the role is going to be split.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think you do have to factor it in, you know, Dave and Montgomery may be getting fifty percent of the goal line touches again.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously lose Frank Ragnow.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: They lose Ben Johnson.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a little bit more mix up in that offense than they had last year overall Gibbs is just one of the most explosive and fun players in the NFL.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he'll be fine for fantasy regardless.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: Tier number three are two guys that I would say lack something somewhere, but I would be shocked if they don't finish as an RB one at the end of the season.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: This is Derek Henry and Ashton Gentie.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: Derek Henry, you know, he could bust off for twenty touchdowns in this offense.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: What I love about the Baltimore offense actually is just the continuity that we've now seen between the offensive coordinator, the offensive line coming into the new year.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: Lamar Jackson can
- 2:38[SPEAKER_00]: Continuously getting better and better and better and Baltimore like not adding anything to that backfield.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: So Derek kind of becoming off of a nineteen hundred yard rushing season.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's the odds on favor to leave the NFL in rushing touchdowns.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see a problem with anyone betting on him to score fifteen to twenty rushing touchdowns.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like that would not be crazy.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: This is going to be a great Baltimore team.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: So obviously not going to catch any passes there, but he's going to score a ton of rushing touchdowns.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: Genties kind of like the the dark horse in this year's fantasy realm because we have so many good upside running backs and we have a lot of guys right underneath this tier but Genties like you know the number six overall pick he's going to the Raiders where he should get every opportunity to get every opportunity I just question how good that offense can really be but I do like the stability a little bit more with you know Smith there they're putting something together with Pete Carroll so Genties a guy that I would be surprised if he finished with fewer than thirteen hundred fourteen hundred fifteen hundred totally arts and skirmish
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: The touchdown numbers are where I think I like differ a little bit with Henry.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like Henry might have doubled the number of touchdowns at Gentie does, but Gentie's a very good pass catcher.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: So he could double up his reception total there.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: But regardless, both of those guys should finish as RB ones for sure.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: Tier number four, this is where the direction of your draft becomes a little bit more strategic.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: The way that I label tier number four is that if any of these guys were my RB one, like I would be perfectly fine building my team around these guys as my RB one, if I went a different direction,
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: positionally in round one or two.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: And there's five guys in this tier that is Devon H and Chase Brown, Jonathan Taylor, Bucky Irving and Josh Jacobs.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: Just the quick one hitter for all of them.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think H and has a good chance to lead the NFL running backs in receptions, especially with John who Smith out the door now.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: H and should be a huge part of that offense that has kind of fluttered down the rankings of being able to throw the ball down the field.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: two is become like a checkdown.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: So a chance upside is ridiculous.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_00]: Chase Brown, what he did over the second half of last year was ridiculous.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: This offense is going to need to score twenty five to thirty points a game again in order to be anywhere near what they were last year.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I think Chase Brown was a huge reason for that.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I love me some some C B out there.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: I know there's a lot of pushback on Jonathan Taylor, but he's another guy.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: What we saw that offense become at the end of the years.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: What I think they want to be.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: Over the last five games of the season, he was averaging twenty nine touches, a hundred and fifty total yards from scrimmage.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: The breakaway run was there.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's dealt with a lot of injuries over the last few years.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: So I get the concerns for sure.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: You have the systematic concerns with indie.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: Are they even going to be a good team with their quarterback situation?
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: They did lose will fries and Ryan Kelly.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: So that is absolutely a cause for concern.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I think a lot of people have just been burned by Jonathan Taylor over the last few years, so they want off of him.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: At the end of the day, I think JT, you're getting a guy who's dropping pretty foreign drafts now.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, you know, late second ish in that spot of the draft there.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're getting a guy who is anytime he's on the field, he's guaranteed twenty touches there.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: So JT, Bucky, you know, coming into the second year, I don't see a reason why Bucky can't be like what Austin Eccler was in LA during those top three fantasy finish years.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: So Bucky's there Josh Jacobs was obviously a fucking beast for Green Bay last year.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: Tier number five, something about these guys make me feel uneasy with them as my running back one.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: If things break right, they could be the keys to your fantasy draft, but if I'm going into the season and these guys are my top dog, I feel a little bit queasy.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: Not to say can't work, not to say you can have a loaded roster around them, but when I'm drafting, I'm looking for one of the ten guys that I had ranked already above them to be my RB one to build my team around.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: And this tier is four guys.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: We got C-Mac, Kamara, Kiron Williams, and James Cook.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: C-Mac, I've been on record like right now where we stand in the summer.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not like C-Mac has moved up to like RB-five rankings for a lot of people.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: These consensus moving further and further up draft boards.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: I get it.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's C-Mac.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: We've seen what he's done.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's had legendary seasons before.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_00]: I am just worried about
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: who he is now passed all of these serious injuries he continues to overcome year in and year out and yeah if i'm drafting right now today he's not a top ten running back for me as the summer progresses and as we hear more and more positive news and as he stays healthy going into the year he'll move up my rankings but for right now when this video is being filmed that's where he sits
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to come out.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: You can make a really strong case that he should be in the tier above this one.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't really add any competition in New Orleans.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know what the quarterback situation is going to be.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's either going to be Spencer Rattler or Tyler Schock, the rookie there.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: So the offensive success, although this has been something that he's kind of been immune to because he's such a good pass catcher.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: That would be the biggest concern here.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's like how many touchdowns can he score, but would taste him Hill out with the ACL tear at the end of the year.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: I do think if there's one player that I'm looking at the tiers and I could move up, it would be Alvin Kamara going into the next year.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, you start to factor in age, you start to factor in offense.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like how many years in a row can this man actually overcome this?
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's just every year.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: Kyron Williams.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, maybe they got the extension done there in LA.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: But Jarka's hunter coming in and late corn being there.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: I do think they want to use a little bit of a committee, but kind of Williams was in he's been an RB one for the last couple years.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: Again, this is just my feeling of if I'm going into the year with these guys as my RB one, I'm not they're not I'm not fading them all together, but I feel a little bit weird about the makeup of my team kind of Williams and we have James Cook there.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: You got the whole dot situation.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really know what's going on.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: He did report to practice, but he's clearly very unhappy.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's got two solid running backs behind him in Ray Davis and Ty Johnson, who they just resigned and extended.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Allen's always a merchant on the goal line there.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: So James Cook had the huge touchdown year, but does that dip back down to reality?
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: Does he score seven touchdowns this year?
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: Eight touchdowns this year?
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: And if that happens, then you're looking at exactly where he's ranked here.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: A top fifteen guy, but not the top five guy where he scoring eighteen rushing touchdowns.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: So that is tier five tier six are legit RB two's like I think you're going to have problems if they're your RB ones, but these guys have injury competition and or systemic concerns.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: Before I dive into tier number six, if you want all of my rankings, they will be available in our draft guide.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: It is not live yet.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: but it is going up for pre-order pricing.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: Some point next week, if you want to be notified when a very, very, very, very heavily discounted price for the draft guide, which is only available for a couple of weeks, goes live.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: Free to join the email list down below.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: All I'll do is send you an email and notify you when it goes live for you to purchase it.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: Join that email list down below.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: You get the rankings.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: You'll get everything you need for your draft.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: First link in the show notes.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: Tier number six.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: Again, legit RB twos.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_00]: I want them on my team as RB II's, but I do have injury, competition, and or systemic concerns.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: This is a list of four guys here.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's a tier of four guys.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's a brief haul.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: James Conner, Kenneth Walker, and Joe Nixon with brief haul.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you have almost all of the above.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: He has like vanished from the player that he came into the league as like he just lacks a lot of the wiggle and or explosiveness on a down to down consistency.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like we've seen plays here and there, but he just doesn't seem the same player that he came in from college when he was a sub four four runner at two hundred and twenty pounds.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: Still a great pass catcher, but now we have Justin Fields taking over.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: Who doesn't check the ball down super often given he's a mobile quarterback.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_00]: We also have a jet steam that's supposed to win five and a half six games this year.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: We have a defensive minded head coach.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what the jets are going to be.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_00]: The jets had eight rushing touchdowns all of last year.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: And now you have Justin Fields taking away rushing touchdowns on the goal line.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: You have Braille and Allen, who is a better, short, yardage russia.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: And he's coming into your two.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Isaiah Davis coming into your two.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: I think those two are also going to get touches in this offense.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: So I have a lot of concerns with Bruce Hall, but I do admit that the upside for a garlic result if you can get a shit together.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: And finally, again, put a full season together, where he's become the guy that he was in college coming out is rookie or etc.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: Then you get a league winning type of running back.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: But I think there are a lot of red flag
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: James Connor.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: I love this set of James Connor.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they've showed anything that says that he won't be the workhorse again in Arizona this year.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: The biggest concerns are injury concerns for James Connor.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: Same thing with Kenneth Walker.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you have Seattle with the offensive lines.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: Not great, but they did improve it this off season.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: They bring in Sam Donald.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't love the makeup of the offense overall.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: But Kenneth Walker, obviously on a per touch basis, just when you factor out all the injuries and everything Kenneth Walker is one of the more explosive and better running backs.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: In the NFL, obviously, serious injury concerns.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think Zack Sharberne, I got that score to think eight or nine rushing touchdowns last year is also a competition concern as much as people don't want to admit it and continue to rank Kenneth Walker's like a top ten back.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: And lastly, we've got Joe mixin' who was awesome, awesome to start the year, had the high ankle sprain, then kind of fell off second half the year.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: They bring a Nick Chub, they draft Woody Marks.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure how this backfield is really gonna split up.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: They are gonna have some trouble on the offensive line, they get rid of Laramie tonsils, so that's their most talented player there.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna have to rebuild that from scratch.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: They could have some trouble running the ball.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it makes them will get as much work without Bobby slow it there as the offensive coordinator, which I think is a positive for the offensive overall.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: But it will mean less volume for mixing, and if he loses a little bit of that pass-catching work to a guy like Woody Marks out of USC, fourth round pick, not super serious draft capital, but also not like late day, three draft capital.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: I think Nick Chub will take a little bit of work.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think Nick Chub will be healthier this year than he was going into last year off that really serious knee injury.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: So I think he is a little bit of competition where I was completely off of Nick Chub going into last year.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: I do think there are some competition concerns and overall just offensive line efficiency concerns for Joe Nixon.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: But if he has healthy, if he's, you know, eighty percent of what we saw for the first half of last year, Nixon was a dynamite top five running back.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: Tier number seven, these are very high floor low end RB-two's, mixing into the RB-three flex position.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_00]: These are guys with solidified roles that we know what they're going to be doing in their respective offenses for the most part.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: We have Aaron Jones, The Andre Swift, Chuba Hubbard, David Montgomery, O'Marion Hampton, and Tony.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: So the five veterans, Aaron Jones, the Andre Swift, Chuba Hubbard, David Montgomery, Tony Pollard.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think for the most part, we know that they are the back that will be at worst the one being their offense.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think most of them are one day.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like Aaron Jones is a start of their in Minnesota, Jordan Mason will be a good secondary piece.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_00]: And this is a Minnesota team that I think is going to far exceed expectations here.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to be a really really strong finisher in the NFC North there where everybody's looking at Detroit and everyone's looking at Chicago.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: I love Minnesota this year.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: They upgraded their offensive line, bringing in wheel fries and Ryan Kelly and drafting a first round offensive line in the NFL draft.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: So really like Aaron Jones this year as a sneaky guy.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: The Andre Swift, they didn't add any competition, and they clearly also improved their offensive line pretty dramatically, as well as bringing Ben Johnson.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they should be a good offense where Andre Swift has a very, very high volume floor, Chuba Hubbard same thing.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: Chuba is a little bit more scary, because Caroline is success.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of up in the air.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: Like, there are six wind team per Vegas, and they also bring in Rico Dattel and Trevor E. T. N. So he has a little bit more competition this year than he had last year.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: So his touches will come down a little bit.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: David Montgomery, I want to like love.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: David Montgomery.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_00]: But it is a little bit scary to see just how good Gibbs was when Dave and Montgomery was out last year.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: Like a big chunk of not I shouldn't say a big chunk of Gibbs' production, but I will say three of his best four games Gibbs' in fantasy last year came with Dave and Montgomery out.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_00]: He was obviously scoring touchdowns when Dave and Montgomery was in there and was still very good regardless.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: But I do think Dave and Montgomery, when he is healthy, they want to play him.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: There were times where they would use Montgomery for an entire first quarter of games last year, whether it did nothing but hand him the ball, give him gold line touches.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: So I still think they have Montgomery like eventually that kind of show is going to hit its finale there, but I think they're going to use him as much as they can until his contract expired.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: So Dave Montgomery said, dude, who will probably score eight, nine, ten touchdowns this year, although he might not run for a thousand yards.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: He might not catch more than twenty passes.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like I still think he is a relatively high floor touchdown dependent score here.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: Amara and Hampton, I think you could make the argument that he could be in the tier above this one.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: But those guys have a very safe volume floor where Hampton is a first round pick.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: So he will get there by the end of the year most likely.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: But Najig Harris is definitely going to take some touches.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think this will be a one A one B as long as they both stay healthy for the majority of the year.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: There might come a point where Hampton just separates himself from Najig from a talent perspective.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: But I think to go into the year just expecting that off the rip would be a little bit naive here.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: So Hampton's in this tier where I actually would probably feel way more comfortable starting everybody else in this tier for the first month, month and a half, you know, six weeks.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: And then I think Hampton probably overtakes all them over the second half of last year in this charge is offense.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be able to move the ball that wants to run the ball, shit ton.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_00]: Hampton's a three down back here.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: But again, Najir's will take ten to twelve touches a game most likely.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: And then, Tony Pollard, one of the most underrated backs, I think in fantasy football was great for Tennessee last year.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: They get an improvement at quarterback.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe they score more points, but Pollard's really done nothing but be really, really good over the last three years.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: That was an yard rush for three years in a row, continuously underrated.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: And then we have the last year that rounds out the top
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: thirty running backs for fantasy football right now.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: This is tier eight.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_00]: And this is a tier where I am just unsure about their role, but they are very, very exciting.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: RB threes with tons of upside.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: And this is kind of like the rookie, uh, the rookie tier here.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: And that is Caleb Johnson, Trayvon Henderson, RJ Harvey, Isaiah Pacheco, Quinchon Judkins, and Brian Robinson.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: Junior, I think Caleb Johnson can probably get moved into the next tier.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I think, again, this is going into the year.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: I do expect Trayvion Henderson to get more and more of a role as the season progresses, same thing with RJ Harvey, same thing with Queen John Judkins.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: The other two veterans, Isaiah Pacheco, Brian Robinson Jr.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_00]: should go into the year with pretty clear one A starting running back roles.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: What is their pass-catching duty with Brian Robinson dealing with Austin Eccler, with Isaiah Becheko dealing with the Brechard Smith.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: They also bring back cream hunt.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: But with the veterans, I think, you know, I try not to overthink it where you have two running backs who have been the starters in their respective offenses for the last couple of years.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: And you have two offenses that are likely going to score somewhere in the top five to top seven overall, just in terms of their team scoring points.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: So if you have the starting back who these guys are likely going to be the goal line backs to there's a world where Pacheco and Robinson just go for you know, eight hundred nine hundred on the ground two hundred through the air and then back their way into eight to ten rushing touchdowns just because they're in a good offense.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's going to get you top fifteen top twenty numbers there.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: So I kind of think they just have a nice floor with some upside based on possible touchdown opportunity.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_00]: So while they're very boring picks, I would not overlook just kind of padding the bottom of your roster with guys like that that you're gonna be able to flex immediately.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_00]: And if they score a touchdown on that given week, you got fifteen points out of your flex play.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: The other running backs like Caleb Johnson, I love I could see him being a top fifteen back by the end of the year.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_00]: His forty-to-one odds to be offensive rookie of the year are some of my favorite on the board.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think he'll have a really high floor roll immediately as well.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: I question what his past catch and roll is going to be, which is why I have him down here because Jalen Warren's still going to play a ton.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to work off of each other very, very well.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: But Caleb Johnson, I think, might be a dude where he might get fifteen carries a game, but if he didn't score a touchdown, he might go like fifteen for seventy six and a catch for seven yards.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_00]: And that's not great fantasy production.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: So I think he'll start off as that type of
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: player Trev on Henderson.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure what his early down role is going to be with Raman's very Stevenson still there, but they do have an an improved offensive line.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_00]: They will have an improved system.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: They will second year Drake may so love the overall outlook for Henderson.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't know what his role is going to be immediately RJ Harvey.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think he'll be a pass catching back to star.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think JK dominance will take a lot of early down work.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: Harvey's really explosive.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's not a good past blocker though, so I don't think they'll use him in those situations.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: I think he'll take some of the early down work, but I'm not sure what they do on the goal line because he is two hundred and five pounds.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_00]: So I think Harvey's a fun player and exciting player and explosive player.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just unsure about what his actual role will be, especially at the start of the season.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: Juddkins, I think is
- 17:58[SPEAKER_00]: Probably one that I actually feel better about the role where he's the early-down starter for sure.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's like Pacheco, he's like Brian Robinson, except he's on a much worse team.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: My Cleveland's win total this year per Vegas is four and a half wins I believe.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: So you tell me if he's going to need that team to far surpass expectations and score a lot more touchdowns or give him a lot more touchdown opportunity and or not have their own Ford Dylan Samson play the past catching role in this offense.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_00]: So again, those guys are RB-IIIs.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: Not fades for me.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: We'll like to pay the bottom of my roster with those guys have a ton of upside, but probably not really startable off the rip.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: So those are the top thirty fantasy running backs right now.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: July will be doing the wide receiver version in a couple of days.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_00]: So make sure you subscribe again.
