- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Telugu with Fexingo. I'm Lucas, and today, Luna and I are returning to the sweet shop. Luna: Ooh, I love the sweet shop. Last time we were there, we learned how to buy laddu. Are we going to practice that again? Lucas: Exactly. Luna: Yeah, every little bit helps. But let's get back to the sweet shop. I'm craving something sweet. Lucas: Perfect. So, you walk into the shop and say, నాకు ఒక లడ్డు కావాలి. That means 'I want one laddu.' Luna: నాకు ఒక లడ్డు కావాలి. That's fun to say. నాకు ఒక లడ్డు కావాలి. Lucas: You got it. Now, what if you want two laddus? You say, రెండు లడ్డూలు ఇవ్వండి. That means 'Give me two laddus.' Luna: రెండు లడ్డూలు ఇవ్వండి. So, నాకు ఒక లడ్డు కావాలి is for one, and రెండు లడ్డూలు ఇవ్వండి is for two. Lucas: Right. And you might want to ask the price. That's ఇది ఎంత? 'How much is this?' Luna: ఇది ఎంత? Oh, I like that. So you can ask, ఇది ఎంత? when you point to the laddu. Lucas: Exactly. And once you taste it, hopefully you'll say, ఇది చాలా బాగుంది. That means 'This is very good.' Luna: ఇది చాలా బాగుంది. I hope I can say that. Let's try a little scene. So I'm at the counter, and I say, నాకు ఒక లడ్డు కావాలి. Then maybe I ask, ఇది ఎంత? Lucas: Perfect. And the shopkeeper tells you the price. Then you say, రెండు లడ్డూలు ఇవ్వండి, and after tasting, you say, ఇది చాలా బాగుంది. Luna: Okay, let me try the whole thing. నాకు ఒక లడ్డు కావాలి. ఇది ఎంత? రెండు లడ్డూలు ఇవ్వండి. ఇది చాలా బాగుంది. Lucas: That was excellent, Luna. You've got the phrases down. Let's do a quick call back to our earlier visit. Remember you asked, ఇది ఏమిటి? when you saw something new. Luna: Oh yeah, ఇది ఏమిటి? means 'What is this?' That's handy when you're not sure what you're looking at. Lucas: Exactly. And today we've added four new phrases: నాకు ఒక లడ్డు కావాలి, రెండు లడ్డూలు ఇవ్వండి, ఇది ఎంత?, and ఇది చాలా బాగుంది. Luna: So good. I'm going to practice these before my next trip to the sweet shop.
