- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Saundra's here with me, and I'm so excited because we
- 0:09Speaker 2: were right next to each other in the wedding. So
- 0:11Speaker 2: I want to hear all the all the details about
- 0:13Speaker 2: last night. But thanks for being here.
- 0:16Speaker 3: You're so welcome. I'd have been heard if I was
- 0:20Speaker 3: not asked to. Oh well, of course we.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Have you on the pod.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Okay, so tell me how are you doing.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Did you have so much fun last night?
- 0:29Speaker 3: Oh? Yeah, I had too much fun because you know,
- 0:32Speaker 3: I'm I'm not sure i'll remember this morning. But I
- 0:35Speaker 3: need a nap.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I know same.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I have not gotten a lot of sleep. We were
- 0:40Speaker 2: just talking about the bachelorette bags. Oh yeah, yeah, the
- 0:44Speaker 2: bags that you get under your eyes because you get
- 0:45Speaker 2: no sleep.
- 0:46Speaker 3: No, no, these aren't bags. These are they're here to stay.
- 0:52Speaker 3: This is this season's yes and and and lack of sleep.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Yes, but you know there's way more positives, including the
- 1:03Speaker 2: uh the person who was sitting next to you.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Tell me all about this escort.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Well, you know he was part of the bacherette party. Okay, entertainment. Yes,
- 1:16Speaker 3: and apparently we and I got happy together, and so
- 1:22Speaker 3: I guess the producers are the powers that be decided
- 1:24Speaker 3: he should be my date for the evening for real?
- 1:27Speaker 3: Like I didn't know this, well, I didn't know it
- 1:29Speaker 3: until yesterday, okay, literally so but I embraced it, you know.
- 1:35Speaker 3: And then I found out that I got to talk
- 1:38Speaker 3: to JP about Jesse Palmer about okay, yes, got it
- 1:41Speaker 3: about him, and so you know, I was happy to
- 1:44Speaker 3: point out his attribute, his physical attributes. How could I not?
- 1:51Speaker 2: For anyone who has not seen it, tell us where
- 1:55Speaker 2: where your gentleman escort comes from?
- 1:57Speaker 1: Like what does he do for his career?
- 2:00Speaker 3: Chip and Dale dancer? Okay, so now you know what
- 2:02Speaker 3: I'm talking about. He's from Brazil. So look, and you
- 2:07Speaker 3: know what, really a nice guy. Oh good, they got
- 2:09Speaker 3: a chance to talk, not just touch and really a
- 2:14Speaker 3: nice young man.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I really liked his attire last night he was wearing.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I was just going to say, well, he didn't really
- 2:21Speaker 2: have a tire.
- 2:22Speaker 3: He had a tie on, yeah, tie and a jacket
- 2:24Speaker 3: and a jacket but no shirt obviously. And you know,
- 2:28Speaker 3: when I told him what we were going to be
- 2:31Speaker 3: chatting about, I said, you're gonna have to unbtton your coat.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Okay he said, oh okay.
- 2:35Speaker 1: It was buttoned before that.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Oh yeah, it was chili. So he had buttoned up.
- 2:41Speaker 3: We're on a mission here, so you're gonna have to
- 2:43Speaker 3: un button until he said, okay, you know what. He
- 2:45Speaker 3: was great to work with and that's fun. Yeah, he
- 2:47Speaker 3: had a good time.
- 2:48Speaker 2: So I haven't gotten to see the show because clearly
- 2:52Speaker 2: we were part of it. And I assume they'll show
- 2:56Speaker 2: the bachelorette party as part of the package of the show, right,
- 3:00Speaker 2: I hear they really did. Oh okay, so tell me
- 3:04Speaker 2: about it, like what happened on the show.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Well, I can tell you what what I experienced while
- 3:09Speaker 3: we were doing it, but I don't know what they
- 3:10Speaker 3: what they brought through, okay, but what they edited. So
- 3:15Speaker 3: the Bachelette party we had, you know, the gift opening
- 3:18Speaker 3: we had. I remember the food. It was very good.
- 3:22Speaker 3: But then the surprise where was it? Oh, I don't know,
- 3:25Speaker 3: somewhere up.
- 3:26Speaker 1: In there in California.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Oh yeah, okay, you know, in the gorgeous hills overlooking
- 3:30Speaker 3: the Overlookers and it was a beautiful place. So the
- 3:36Speaker 3: surprise was the Chip Anddale dancers. Although if we thought
- 3:39Speaker 3: about it, we realized, oh yeah, every Bachelerette party has
- 3:42Speaker 3: Chip you know, the cop that comes and disrobes. And
- 3:45Speaker 3: so we had these dancers and they performed for us,
- 3:47Speaker 3: and then we had to engage with them. You had
- 3:52Speaker 3: to well, yeah, I remember.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I remember.
- 3:55Speaker 3: I was kind of sitting back, being a little conservative
- 3:57Speaker 3: and Parisa when the handlers is, Sondra, come on, get
- 4:00Speaker 3: in this now. Oh okay. So I picked up a
- 4:03Speaker 3: pot and kind of roped him in. And I'm not
- 4:05Speaker 3: sure what I did after that.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I have no because there was alcohol or you just.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Want to drink, so but got it. Yeah, but you
- 4:12Speaker 3: know I did the I did the chippendale thing. I
- 4:16Speaker 3: touched him amazing And.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Was it just you participating or others?
- 4:22Speaker 3: There were four dancers and there were five five in
- 4:25Speaker 3: the party, five of us in the parties, okay, and
- 4:28Speaker 3: so there was plenty of flesh to share. Funny, Yeah,
- 4:33Speaker 3: there was.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Did you get his number?
- 4:36Speaker 3: I actually do. Have we been texting? We've been texting.
- 4:40Speaker 3: You know what again? A sweet young man?
- 4:42Speaker 1: Yeah, you totally is.
- 4:44Speaker 2: And then Ellen was saying that there was a lingerie
- 4:46Speaker 2: photo shoot.
- 4:47Speaker 3: And then the other surprise.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I mean, that's a big surprise.
- 4:52Speaker 2: You guys had no idea, of course not and and
- 4:55Speaker 2: it was because I saw something on Instagram this morning
- 4:57Speaker 2: of Teresa in her laingerie and the photo shoot like
- 5:02Speaker 2: a boudoir or whatever. Yes, and how did she respond
- 5:06Speaker 2: to it, like at first? Was she really excited or
- 5:10Speaker 2: totally willing to do something like that or.
- 5:13Speaker 3: We I'm not certain about Teresa because for that I
- 5:16Speaker 3: think she went first or so okay, she was separate
- 5:19Speaker 3: from the rest of us. Okay, So I don't know
- 5:22Speaker 3: about her, but I know we were all surprised when
- 5:24Speaker 3: they brought in the racks of lingerie things with our
- 5:27Speaker 3: sizes or names or whatever, and was like, Okay, what
- 5:30Speaker 3: are we going to do with this? Yes, so okay,
- 5:33Speaker 3: and then we of course had to change clothes and
- 5:35Speaker 3: we put these things on, and we were all like, okay,
- 5:37Speaker 3: what's happening here?
- 5:38Speaker 1: Right?
- 5:39Speaker 3: And then they had some of the camera operators and
- 5:42Speaker 3: sound people were guys, and we were wait a minute, Yeah,
- 5:46Speaker 3: they had the lady crew come in and got it.
- 5:48Speaker 3: And then this photographer, what a gorgeous young lady. She
- 5:53Speaker 3: she she made us all relaxed. I tell you it was.
- 5:57Speaker 3: We all had anxiety. I was telling JP last night,
- 6:00Speaker 3: you know, when it first started, my anxieties on a
- 6:02Speaker 3: one to ten Scaleward at an eleven? What the what
- 6:05Speaker 3: are we? Yeah? Yeah, but in short order, we were
- 6:10Speaker 3: all having a ball.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I love it. Who all was there?
- 6:13Speaker 3: You mean who was at the bachelorette party?
- 6:15Speaker 1: Yeah? Who did the lingerie shoot?
- 6:17Speaker 4: All of us?
- 6:18Speaker 3: We each had a session, and then we had a
- 6:20Speaker 3: group gathering.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Got it? Yeah, but all of the golden bachelorettes were there.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Well, there was four five of us, Ellen, Ellen, Susan, Faith, Sondra.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I guess I love that you said to yourself, I'm
- 6:37Speaker 1: on the list.
- 6:40Speaker 3: I think that was it. Yeah, so all of us.
- 6:42Speaker 3: And then when I say all of us in the
- 6:44Speaker 3: in the group shot, Teresa was with us.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, got it?
- 6:49Speaker 3: All this skimpy underwear we were, I mean we were
- 6:51Speaker 3: nude underneath, no bras.
- 6:54Speaker 1: No, yes, some pasties and yeah yeah yeah, good for you.
- 6:59Speaker 3: It was interest. I've never done anything like I was just.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Going to say, is this something that you've ever done before?
- 7:05Speaker 4: No?
- 7:05Speaker 3: Well, well let me back up.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Yeah, Oh I was.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Young and I had a spouse. We did a little
- 7:11Speaker 3: lingerie thingy yes, a few.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Times, okay, more than a photo shoot.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Yeahs yes, I know those V days. Okay, I made
- 7:26Speaker 3: sure that those things got destroyed. Yes, I was so
- 7:29Speaker 3: self critical.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Oh same, yea whatever, same, same.
- 7:33Speaker 2: We're all our own biggest critic, right, okay, So what
- 7:46Speaker 2: did you think of the wedding? Oh?
- 7:48Speaker 3: Gorgeous? Right, Oh my goodness. The venue. You know, they
- 7:54Speaker 3: did a hell of a job.
- 7:55Speaker 1: They really did.
- 7:56Speaker 3: It's beautiful.
- 7:57Speaker 2: How did you feel being at your ex boyfriend's wedding
- 8:00Speaker 2: with one of your friends?
- 8:03Speaker 1: How was that?
- 8:04Speaker 3: For long past that?
- 8:05Speaker 1: I know, I assume that, but I just wonder if.
- 8:09Speaker 3: You know, I don't know if I ever looked at
- 8:11Speaker 3: Gary as a boyfriend, okay, boyfriend. You know, I looked
- 8:13Speaker 3: at him as a great guy and a great choice.
- 8:17Speaker 3: You know, castingly did a great job with him, and
- 8:22Speaker 3: I looked at him as a friend. And now what
- 8:24Speaker 3: America didn't see on TV? Because you know, there's forty
- 8:27Speaker 3: three minutes a week of right Golden Bachelor. The chats
- 8:31Speaker 3: that he and I had, we had a lot of
- 8:33Speaker 3: good chats, laughter and all that, but no one ever
- 8:36Speaker 3: saw it.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Yeah, of course talked football, which is my favorite s
- 8:40Speaker 4: love it.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Yeah, so but so it's great?
- 8:44Speaker 2: Yeah oh yeah, but isn't it funny like the world
- 8:47Speaker 2: of Bachelor Nation? Right? This kind of thing is normal, normal,
- 8:52Speaker 2: quote unquote to us sitting in a wedding. You know,
- 8:56Speaker 2: I've been to I think all of the televised wedding,
- 9:00Speaker 2: sure you have, and and it in my world has
- 9:04Speaker 2: become kind of commonplace where I go to people's weddings too.
- 9:09Speaker 2: I've spent very little time with or I don't even
- 9:13Speaker 2: know them. And to me, I don't know if you
- 9:18Speaker 2: feel this way yet or have ever, but I feel
- 9:22Speaker 2: like we're one big family, whether we're happy or dysfunction
- 9:26Speaker 2: l or whatever you want to call us, dysfunction exactly right.
- 9:34Speaker 2: And so I love being there for my family, and
- 9:40Speaker 2: and it is odd like being I always feel bad
- 9:42Speaker 2: like being kind of close to the front because I'm
- 9:45Speaker 2: like the people that actually spend like do life with
- 9:48Speaker 2: them and their every day are not up here getting
- 9:52Speaker 2: you know, close. And I I love Gary and Teresa
- 9:55Speaker 2: and obviously wanted to be there to support them, but
- 9:58Speaker 2: I'm like, maybe these other people should like be closer upfront.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Do you know what I'm saying?
- 10:02Speaker 2: Other people meaning like they're being his friend, their friends
- 10:05Speaker 2: and family, You know what I mean?
- 10:07Speaker 3: Well, yes I do. But here's the thing. The family's
- 10:09Speaker 3: been with them all their lives. Yeah, this is sort
- 10:12Speaker 3: of an adjunct family, a second family, so they're we're
- 10:18Speaker 3: not as important as brothers sister's children gradually, but we are.
- 10:24Speaker 3: We are their next family. And it sounds like and
- 10:27Speaker 3: it makes me feel like we'll always be that, Like
- 10:29Speaker 3: you're coming back all the time. I you know, we're alumni. Yeah,
- 10:35Speaker 3: and I just assume that I'll see everyone again. Oh
- 10:39Speaker 3: for sure you are some venture a wedding, yes, something
- 10:42Speaker 3: you know.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Yes, So that's what that's my favorite thing about this stuff,
- 10:46Speaker 2: the reunions. It is I told I think Ryan last night,
- 10:50Speaker 2: it's like my happy place. I got to have my
- 10:53Speaker 2: family there and I m like my foursome of family
- 10:57Speaker 2: Ryan and the kids, and then I get to have
- 11:00Speaker 2: my Bachelor Nation family and my in my life. My
- 11:03Speaker 2: friends are my chosen family. And I just love being
- 11:08Speaker 2: able to reconnect with people that I share this you know,
- 11:12Speaker 2: crazy odd story with. Right.
- 11:15Speaker 4: I like seeing the new couples and oh yeah, I
- 11:19Speaker 4: just got engaged, you know, and so we know we
- 11:21Speaker 4: know there's another wedding cross our fingers in the future.
- 11:25Speaker 3: And right, you know, maybe we'll get to be a
- 11:27Speaker 3: part of that. Yeah, it's it's warming to me, I'm feeling,
- 11:32Speaker 3: I'm feeling really special to be a part of this
- 11:35Speaker 3: new family group.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Grateful, really am well, we're we're grateful that you're a
- 11:42Speaker 1: part of it.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Thank you, of.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Course, thank you so much for being here.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Thank you. You're so good seeing you in your family
- 11:48Speaker 3: and your biological family.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Yes, yes, right, yes, all right, thank you.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Thank you. Follow the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous
