- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
- 1:18[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, we're going to talk about all the things that are making us laugh and stressing us out and we have no notes because we don't need them.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's I think that goes without saying, right?
- 1:31[SPEAKER_00]: Well, sometimes on rare occasion I make notes, but with you, I mean, do I even need them ever?
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's so funny.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: I was I was talking to one of my besties.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like I I've got these routines in the morning where I like if I go to the gym I talk to one of my best friends since junior year in high school on my way home ever like it's what we do she's walking on we catch up so she called and I said like I gotta get prepared for this monster Kimberly and I'm like what am I saying?
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: What are we
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: I'm already psycho and so that I'll just bring that energy to this party, right?
- 2:11[SPEAKER_01]: And he is, what's not to be psycho over in this world that we live in.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: You know, look, if we're not psycho, if we're not psycho, we're not paying attention.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I mean, I've just had some personal things going on.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: And then, you know, but there's always that low key home of stress from what's happening.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: Although, you know, I mean, there's so many signs.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: that we're going to get through this obviously it's all uncomfortable and horrible and damaged and we have to undo damage and people are hurt and you know I always have to say that because I don't want to pretend like I'm a polyam about this but I do feel like you know I know they've got terrible plans and I know that you know the oligarchs, the fascists, all of them
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to fight to the bloody end, right?
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: They're never going to give up.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: But they are up against a people who are waking up in who are pissed and Trump supporters are pissed off.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: I saw Barbara McQuade said that Democrats should run on
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: something like he didn't do what he said he was going to do because that's what into like right leaning independence are saying and right leaning independence we need them right like I don't give a shit about the mega crowd but I do because we don't usually have them anyway even if even if Trump were to pass away or even if they turned on Trump they're still going to be loyal to their fastest party so but the independence are strong and there is there
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody on Facebook.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I understand this, I understand the sentiment, but I had to say something.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: But somebody said, oh, he always wins.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: Because it was about the fucking tarp thing.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: And covering his name, and I think stupid fucking, what is his name, Seth?
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: I can't think of his name right now.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: I'll come up with it in a minute.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: Seth, what is his name?
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you know, I'm going to look for him right now.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: But he's somebody, Seth Abramson.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's got a huge following on Twitter.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's got a huge following on,
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: blue sky and you know okay he's he's not a stupid guy he's a smart guy he's got massive followers but he said the other day that Trump won with this whole thing with the Kennedy Senator Senator because the tarp was covering the fact that his name was taken off it's like oh come on stop with your rage bake click and this woman I think she's like Trump wins in everything and it's like no
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: No, he did not win.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: They kept the tarp up probably because they just have to fill in some holes and fix the cosmetic damage that his name caused.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like the tarp's gonna stay up forever.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's the stupidest fucking thing I ever heard.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: I see people still occasionally with this whole, oh my god, he always wins.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: No, he fucking doesn't.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's constantly being released.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: He loses constantly.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: Constantly.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he does get away with shit.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: We're not going to put it.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: But it's to say that he wins all the time.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: No, he doesn't.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's fucking losing everything and on top of it.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you know me, I got to go there.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: His fucking hand, did you see his hand at that UFC event?
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: not just one hand both hands and the cake make up was so incredibly thick and then the other day there was a fucking slice on it that was like ship like a little you did you see that
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I saw that to zero in on I don't remember if it was, you know, sometimes I like to look at pictures of my kids when they were little to get a little serotonin burst before I go to bed.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_01]: And sometimes I like to watch epistemic crisis videos and look at scabs and gashes on the president's hand before I go to sleep.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, and that's what I did last.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I've seen that thing.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: So, but somebody on the list guy made that little slash on his illness.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's my only face.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my God, it's like, it makes, I can't help it, because it's so awful, right?
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: So like, in fact, when I was at the grocery store yesterday because I have my grocery store diaries, there's this young Iranian woman, she's so sweet.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: I just love her to pieces.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know how old she is, but she's young, like 2021.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: And every time I see her, and like Trump's gonna die, and we just start laughing, and then we have our conversation.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: So the first thing, like she was ringing somebody else up and I had my phone all pro, like, all ready,
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: And as soon as it was my turn to start the process, I just shove my phone in her face and it's a picture of his hand, cake to it, make him, and she just started laughing.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, it gets to the point now where I know there's serious shit going on.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: But, and I'm glad that there are really smart, credible people talking about it.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: But I just need to focus on the fact that he's dying, or else I'm gonna go fucking nuts.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: Do you have you noticed how no one hesitates to say those words in you now?
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's all over the place.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: I remember I know I'm monopolizing and I swear to God I'll let you know I love it.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: But during his first term, I don't remember who it was, but I said something about his demise.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_00]: And I meant political demise.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: But I just said demise.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: And oh my God, this guy on Twitter,
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know who it was, was like, he was supposed to be an ally, too.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: But he said something to me, like, that sounds like a threat.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he tagged somebody and it was like, I got freaked out and I deleted it.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, I just meant political demise.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't calling for the man's tip, but like you said, we weren't allowed to say Nazi before.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: We nobody was ever allowed to, you know, fantasize about the president dying publicly.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: And now that's all you ever see.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, I have a shirt everywhere.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: So, and I've had it for over a year.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: That I missed what you said.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_01]: I missed what you said was, well, okay, I said, well, I have a shirt that says it.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_01]: So, and I think, did Joan Bias wear a shirt that said, is he dead yet?
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: Or was that maybe I?
- 8:16[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, I saw this and I do, I have a bunch of girlfriends that I've known since middle school and there are seven of us and we get together.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_01]: We tried to get together once a year to just eat food, playboard games and, you know, take.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: ridiculous pictures of each other with sometimes in ball of our clothes coming off.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's still we're still 14, but we're 60.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I got everybody one of those t-shirts that said that is he dead yet.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: And I got a couple extras for some of my sassy girlfriends that live up at the state capital that are they're in their 30s and they wear it when they go to the farmers market.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: Ballsy.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_01]: I look at mine in my drawer and go, I just can't run into somebody that's like a new client, you know, on this.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_01]: We're wearing that.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_01]: We might have that conversation, but to put it out there, that's that takes some damn good.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: It totally does.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it does.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I would be.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: not very comfortable walking around with that just because you never know who you're gonna meet and people today are on a hair trigger you know what I mean like I just I don't even want to flip anybody off in the car which is something that I've done a lot in my lifetime I don't want to do it because it's like what if they have a but if they have a gun I mean doesn't mean they're maga but what if they have a gun people are just fucking nuts right now Bob has always pointed out that
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: they're more volatile and hostile on airplanes, they're more volatile and hostile on the road.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I can't tell on the road because out here, in the DC area, traffic is fucking ridiculous, and I say this all the time about.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: My dad always used to tell me that, and I lived in California, I'm like, oh, whatever, you don't even know anything, because I didn't California, and I drive all around.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like, no, he's right.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's just a worse traffic.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: I've experienced in my entire life outside of like,
- 10:04[SPEAKER_00]: their crazy taxis.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: Have you ever been in a taxi in Italy?
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes.
- 10:10[UNKNOWN]: Oh, my God.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: They're so heroin.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, they are.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I live for it.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's so hard.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, I got the Italian blood, as my father would say, Italian, no well.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_01]: There's a why.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: There's a why in place.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: It's Italian.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_01]: And, and, you know, his side is Mexican, but he said Mexican.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: No, no X.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_01]: Indeed.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: And then that's in its place.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_01]: Um, uh, yeah, I love that.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I love being in with my people and that energy like Naples, Italy, I feel at home.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: Really?
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: Because a, yeah, it happens just like, oh my God, it's incredible.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of gritty.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's a port city.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: It reminds me a little bit of Oakland.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_01]: Um, it's just, it's fun.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's great.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: Great food.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: Great.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, anyway, let me go back to this with, did you go to Rome?
- 11:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I've been to Rome.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: Do you like the food in Rome?
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, sure.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: I like the food in Rome.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: Because I did not.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, some of it, sure.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: But some of it, I mean, it's with it was not great.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: And plus I was a major tourist.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I, I thought, okay, the, the food and Florence, if you're a meat eater, Florence is good.
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: Lawrence is on another level, but yes, Red sucks.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: So they're bread tastes like air like the bread that they bring you to, yeah, but then you go to Naples or, or Venet, like somewhere where there's water nearby.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know the Venetian work for me either, but go ahead.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the Naples, the Naples food.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of beautiful seafood.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: I thought I enjoyed eating in Naples the most like we had some really traditional beautiful meals there that weren't seafood that were you know all types of.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: of food.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: And so then we went to this place, you all, you've, everybody's heard of the coppery, right?
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: Or what's, you know, the air, I have no, I don't know words anymore by the way.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: So let me just, I'm just going to do my best.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_01]: Copper is really expensive, and a lot of non-italian tourists like you go to copper to get that beach vacation.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: And we didn't want to spend the money to go to copper, obviously, would have shortened our trip.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: We would have just blown our wand there.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: And so instead, we went to the island of Iskia, which is where you see a lot of Italian tourists doing their summer vacation in Iskia.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot less expensive.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: and we ate some of, we found this little like beach club that was open to the public that was run by a husband and wife who argued audibly in their kitchen while you were ordering the home
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: So they're in the kitchen cooking.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: You can hear them kind of bickering loudly with each other.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: And then they come and serve you the food.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I had the best homemade lasagna that I've ever eaten in my entire life at this little beach cafe.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: And so there were seven of us traveling with my family and it was my brother and his wife and daughter.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: And people were like, Oh, can I have a bite?
- 13:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, absolutely not.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: You may not have a bite if you would like to have this.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_01]: You must order yourself.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: It was that good.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_01]: Um, it was, I'm so, you know, that, but that was our experience, uh, and, you know, we did it on, it was after my mom died.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_01]: So we kind of, you know, we went for 18 days to Italy.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: And this was her dream to take all of us back to the homeland.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: And so we did it, you know, kind of in honor of her and did went and stayed at a hotel that she and my father found in Rome in 1988 that they took me and my brother to.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I got this.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_01]: And so we, yeah, we went back, you know, that kind of, it was that kind of a trip.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_01]: It was, it was, and it was 105 degrees.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: And we, the only time we ever really fought with each other was at the Vatican because the air conditioning was out.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: And we were all spotted to Vatican.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we were like, you know, FU, I'll see you on the street.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_01]: My sister, my sister-in-law, and I went and bought a pack of sigs and, you know, took a couple of puffs out.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: 105 degree weather and said, fuck, these guys.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but then, you know, then we, we shook it off and it was all fine.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: That's hilarious.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, I can't believe you smoked.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: Did you use the smoke?
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't good.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: It sounded good.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I made it taste a disgusting.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_01]: And we both, it was disgusting.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_01]: And we both took like a couple of drags and then just like got rid of it.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: I can't even imagine like I was watching something recently where people were smoking.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I just imagined it.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: And it was like, uh, because of course I was a smoker.
- 14:50[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, I stopped in, I was 45 and 2013.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I just,
- 14:56[SPEAKER_00]: I had a really easy time with it.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: I had tried quitting so many other times without it being easy at all, clearly I kept smoking.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: And then I just decided at that point I'm like, okay, I'm done.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: And I was done.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: And it's funny because the next time I was around anybody who had a cigarette was about a year later.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: And it just was disgusting.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, get away from me.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: It was so gross.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_00]: It smells so awful.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it smelled awful when I did it.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: But you get used to it.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_00]: You know, yeah, you get you build up that tolerance to it, but I've never I think you would then you have an addiction to the nicotine.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it is disgusting.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I loved cigarettes when I was drinking.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_00]: Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: Because I said, can you take smoke breaks?
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: And this is like LA, right?
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: So you have to go all the way downstairs and leave the building and take a smoke break.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: So they're like, yeah, sure.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: And I said, well, what happens if they call your name?
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like, well, if you don't answer, they're just going to put it back in the pile and we'll get you next time.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, oh, two.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_00]: So when I have to take cigarette right now, yeah, I know I need to go smoke.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_00]: So I was taking all these earthquakes, but then there was this one part where I was in the bathroom.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: I was in the stall, and they called my number.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I just stayed in the stall.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't come out for like 20 minutes.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: And then I just mostly, I mostly, I mows you down back in and play dumb.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: And then I never got called.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, I'm not kidding.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: Probably something against the law or something.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, there's no way they can do anything to you now.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: No, this was like in 2008.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: She really johns in LA County in the year 2000s.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I am too much of a rule follower.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: Which sounds funny because I'm so... You're so rebellious.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a bit of a rule breaker.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm not really a rule breaker.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: I follow most rules, except jury duty rules.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: I've accidentally not called in for jury duty, and then I freak out.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my God.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: And all they do is they just hit you the next here by the way.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_01]: Uh-huh.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, interesting.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then I have a friend who is a tattoo or hits what he does for his life.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_01]: He's you know, he's lived an alternative sort of his mentality is very like we're born on the same year.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: He's one of us.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's all right.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's like, I was a punk rocker.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: I was an artist.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't really ever fit into the, you know, the system.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_01]: It just wasn't.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_01]: And so he goes.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: obviously.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: He plays his taxes.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: He does the rest of his shitties.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: He's a good member of Joe.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't respond.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: That's hilarious.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I just, I just remember it was so funny because I think it was that same year that I did that.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: But I think, okay, let me remember it would have
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: My grandmother had passed away in 2003 in September, and I had asked her, here's a funny little story about my grandma.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: So, actually prior to her dying, I knew this woman, her name was Lynn, and she was a psychic, and so I had a reading with her, and she, I didn't really ask her any questions.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_00]: She was just telling me things that she saw.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_00]: And so, she told me, because I didn't ask her this, but she told me how both my grandmothers were going to die and when, and she was absolutely correct.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I didn't mind her telling me that at the time, because I knew my grandpa, you know, it's like, I knew they would die eventually.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody was sick at the time, and she got it right, but she told me with my paternal grandmother that she was going to visit me as a bird.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_00]: So I just took a mental note of that and went on with my life.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't remember what year it was that she taught me.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it was like 2002.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: And so then my grant, my grant me, had passed away in 2003.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: And prior to her passing away, I asked her if she would contact me.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, after she did, I said, if you can, will you contact me?
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: And she said, yes, actually that's both of my grandmothers, but I felt like I only got the response that I could recognize from my paternal Grammy.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: So, anyway, she dies in September.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'm waiting.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm waiting for her and nothing's happening and nothing's happening.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_00]: And so, I was laying in bed, uh, I think it was like December.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_00]: and my cat used to sleep in a blanket right by my head by the pillow.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_00]: So my cat was there and she was asleep and I was just laying there and I was thinking and I was talking to my grandmother and I'm like, Grandma, let me know that you're there, do something, knock something off my dresser, just do something and I was really concentrating and you know nothing happened but all of a sudden, my cat like shoots up and steers with the door.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I don't really think anything about it.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: I don't because I don't even know what that is.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think she just hears something with her cat ears that I don't.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I go to bed and then I have a dream that my grandmother appears to me in the dream, although it's like her face is right in front of me.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: but it's a little blurry and she's talking to me, but it's kind of like that peanuts voice where you just don't know what she's saying.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_00]: So that was it, that was the dream.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I wake up from it.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: And ultimately, I had decided that she did, that somehow, I don't know, my cat must have sent something.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, I just thought that was weird.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: But then in the dream, I figured what she was doing was she's like, I'm here.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm in a realm where you just can't really understand or see me.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's how I told him.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: So after that happened, OK, that was in December.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: So in January, I had to go to jury duty.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I was praying all day to my grandmother.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, please, grab me, please, get me out of this.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: Please, don't let me come back and so.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_00]: You're screaming at me and you can get excuse that.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: Use your powers from beyond.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, come on, grab me.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: Help me with my jury duty.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm praying all day and then I don't get called so they let me go and I said to myself, I'm free as a bird.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I like thought.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I go and I get in my car and free bird is on.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll say, um...
- 21:26[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, like, crammy, so then, then after that, all this shit with bird started happening.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_00]: And then like the biggest thing and I know nobody's gonna believe me, but I don't care because this happened.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: It used to be that the doves would land, I had a wall unit air conditioner.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: And so the doves would always land on the wall unit and it was like a fun thing for me and my cat and they had stopped and they hadn't come back for so fucking long.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: And then all of a sudden one day,
- 21:54[SPEAKER_00]: There's this dove I see it and it lands on my air conditioner and I look at it and I walk over to it and it doesn't it doesn't leave and I I just go are you my Grammy and I said if you're my Grammy come walk and write up to the window and I swear on my life on everybody's life then I love
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: The bird looked me in the eye and walked right up to the window.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, oh, that hurts.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: And then there was a couple other things that happened with birds.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: And then that was it.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_00]: So I just thought, huh, that's so interesting.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then the other day I was in the grocery store and freebird was playing.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I was, and when, you know, I know that there's all this racist shit.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_00]: having to do with Leonard Skinner, but when I hear that song, I think of my grandmother.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_00]: And if you listen to the words, oh my god, the fucking words of that song, it just kills me.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's like my grandmother was talking to me.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, there's my Grammy bird story.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a highly, heavy talk.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, it's like that song always makes me tear up.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: Will you remember, listen, I don't, I mean, what I want to say is, yes, you know, if Leonard's kindred world life today, you know, and that Southern man don't need him around anyhow, whatever, like
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: they probably would be maga.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: I've heard somebody come in defense of them, and I, you know, I didn't take the time to look it up.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: But, I mean, obviously, they had all those confederate flags and everything.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: They had that same thing.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_01]: They had the confederate flags and that that was part of their culture.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, yeah, you know what you need to open your eyes and realize what that actually stands for and the message is putting out there.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe that, maybe that's a conversation that could be had or could have been had.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: But we, you know, we live in a racist country that was built by, you know,
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: men who can't who stole human beings from Africa?
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and enslaved them.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: And enslaved them.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, I, I want, okay.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, here we go.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: God damn it, here I go.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: No, go.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_01]: What I was gonna say before that is,
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: What makes us, what's the common thread between us and even the people that fly the Confederate flags?
- 24:07[SPEAKER_01]: Is there something in there that we can agree upon?
- 24:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like, oh, I think so.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so what I'm saying is, when are we gonna start trying to figure out what that is?
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and when are we going to all acknowledge that black people in this country don't have a song or a dance or a place they can say yeah, you know what I'm going to go ahead and trace my roots back to Ghana let's say that's where my answer I know I can go to Mexico I can go to Oklahoma I can go to fucking Luca in Italy.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_01]: I know that I are our
- 24:46[SPEAKER_01]: People, the black people that we walk that we call Americans, they don't have that, and that's what they have had to live their entire lives and will continue to live their entire lives, knowing because they were taken from whatever that homeland is where do their ancestors come from?
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I, I know a woman who said she, she, she turned 80 and she goes, she's black woman and she goes, I just want, I want to go put my feet in the water on the shores of, of, you know, some African country and just try to feel grounded and try to find that ancestral land.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_01]: She doesn't even know if it's right.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's the country that we live in and that is still okay with the majority of Americans that walk this earth and let's let's not ever fucking forget that.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no idea that's my message today.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and it's so profound and accurate and upsetting and all of it because it's true.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, everybody feels, I try so hard in this, sorry, sorry folks to turn, there's no sorry.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_00]: Three bird, you started it.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_00]: I know I started it, it's not my fault.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_00]: The thing is though, I think, you know, here's my suffer-up take on this as opposed to suffering down and getting it worse because, you know, everything depends on us, right?
- 26:22[SPEAKER_00]: We have to make the decisions that and take the actions that are going to shape this country.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_00]: We always have
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: our decisions up until now.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_00]: Some of them have been great and some of them have been awful.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that, you know, it's been getting worse and worse and worse and worse.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_00]: I know we can we can tag this back to, I mean, you can go all the way back to the beginning of the John Birch Society.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: You can go back beyond that.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, at least in our experience, this
- 26:52[SPEAKER_00]: And again, I'm not saying that he only started with Reagan, but I'm saying this, yes, keep it on baby.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with you.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: And our lives, it started with him.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, while they have the, and I'm calling them, they meaning the fascist, the far right, whatever.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_00]: they've taken over our press, you know, they're so loud, they are intimidating, they are violent, and it's just gotten to the point where we have Donald Trump.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: And actually, you know, I mean, I think about, I'm so existential, and I think about things beyond just the physical what we can see, right?
- 27:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know, I don't claim to know anything, I just ponder and wonder,
- 27:36[SPEAKER_00]: not necessarily political just anything in history and see how our actions and our thoughts lead to this thing.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: So it's my hope that this current president who is, I mean, we didn't get a smart fascist.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's our big fucking, that's how we looked out is that we got a stupid disgusting piece of shit pedophile fascist who doesn't know what the and he's got dementia and he's dying and he's got this like group of fucking greedy I don't even can't even come up with a word.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a how disgusting they are all of them are and and they lookers.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and they all tried
- 28:21[SPEAKER_00]: Because like, it was a slow, it was the slow kind of coup since Reagan, but then when Trump got in it, sped up.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the reason, and I might be, it might have been hubris.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: It might have been the fact that they think we've got to do this before America wakes up to it.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_00]: But they didn't do.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_00]: The Trump part slow because Trump is a fucking train wreck and he can't he has no idea how to be reserved or measured or anything.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: So everything has just kind of exploded and Americans are waking up and it's tariffs, it's ice, it's all of it.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_00]: And they're getting pissed off and he's not keeping his promises and it's Iran and it's all of it.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's my...
- 29:05[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I don't like the word hope because hope implies that we're going to fail, but you know, we do have a choice here and we have an opportunity because now this country that you're talking about that was founded on fucking enslaved black people.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_00]: We have an opportunity to change that because he's burning everything down.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_00]: And so for all of us that, you know, look at me, I'm a white woman, a nice looking white woman who was privileged and I didn't know, like when Frangela, when I had Frangela on my show and I can't remember which one I never can remember, I had said, you know, she was on a
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what's her fault?
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: Well, because she's black, well, of course.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, oh my god.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, as a white woman, I never was black question.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, of course not.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_00]: And so, and it's like, I never would have even thought about that.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_00]: It never would have even occurred to me that someone would have asked a person of color that question.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like,
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I had this privileged experience as a white person, and it's not to say that my life was super easy, not to say that it was super hard because it wasn't, but it wasn't super easy.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like my, you know, my single mother raising me from the 70s wasn't fucking wealthy.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: We didn't have lots of money.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know, there was one fucking month where all I was potatoes.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm, you know, that was just one month, but still that's what we ate.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: That's what she had money to buy, potatoes.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_00]: So, it's not like even though I had a privileged life, it's not like I had this like entitled life or anything like that.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, we all go, I wish I, I wish it were the 90s, I wish it, but yeah, what about black people in the 90s?
- 30:47[SPEAKER_00]: What about people of color in the 90s?
- 30:49[SPEAKER_00]: What about people who were just being ignored?
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: Women who have these fantastic ideas and then men steal them.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's what happens.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_00]: And then men rape women or young men rape women.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: And the judge goes, oh, but, you know, no jail time for him.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: We don't want to really kill him.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_01]: But I was like swimmer at Stanford.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_01]: How's that?
- 31:10[SPEAKER_01]: You know, what's he going to do when he graduates when he gets out of jail?
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: What can I do?
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: Let's not ruin his life.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_01]: Let's not do that.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I mean, this place that we've been living in that we, you know, America was never fucking great.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: There was, there was greatness in America without a doubt, but this country needs to be.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_00]: So, this whole existential point is maybe, maybe, there is a reason this is all happening.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_00]: Because of our collective desires, our collective actions, like points of view, lead to,
- 31:41[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, your identity as a human, not just identity, I go to work and I live in this house.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: Your identity is who you are in this world and what the world means to you.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_00]: If all of our collective identities wanted to fucking change, and of course it's not all because there's people in maga.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_00]: But there's, look, we had occupied democrat, not occupied, occupied Wall Street.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we've had all these petitions to get rid of citizens' united petitions are fucking useless.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_00]: But the desire has been there, and there has not been any action.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_00]: So what happened?
- 32:13[SPEAKER_00]: Everything fell apart.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_00]: And that gives us an opportunity to rebuild it back.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I hate to use Biden's thing, but yes, build it back better.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_00]: Build it back into a matriarchy, which does not mean all female.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_00]: It just means people who are going to lead who are going to take care, because as I said, the Affordable Care Act is a matriarchal piece of legislation.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_00]: Social security is a matriarchal piece of legislation.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't matter if it's brought by a man or a woman.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's that feminine energy of love.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_00]: And so we have that opportunity now and it, you know, as much as I want to believe that that's possible, it's a frightening thought because so many people in this country are just so angry and divided.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: but it is it is our opportunity and a lot of us are waking up and I do feel positive about the about the midterms and I do feel positive about moving forward but you know it's like we're relying on people.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know you know what I mean?
- 33:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_00]: I do have hope.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_00]: I do have hope and I do think
- 33:20[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like to say hope.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_00]: I do think we're gonna beat the fuck out of them in this election.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I know they're gonna try to stop, not stop the election, but they're gonna, they're gonna fucking cheat, right?
- 33:33[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna do everything they can.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna do everything they can.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna do everything they can.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna do everything they can.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_01]: They're already doing it.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: They're already doing it.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: They know they can't win on the merits because they're pigs, right?
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: They're racist and they're, they're, they're grifters and they're criminals.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: people tired of it.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_01]: Let me know what's cracking me up though.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's not cracking me up.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: It actually pisses me off.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_01]: When you see these former, these triple trumpers who are talking to some interviewer on a podcast or whatever and they're like, yeah, I can't afford my groceries.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'm mad.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_01]: Right, exactly.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: OK, well, maybe that's the common thread, right?
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, bitch, really?
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: Now you're mad, because you can't fill up your fucking car, try being somebody who has lived on the margins for your existence.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_01]: But if they haven't, they're not going to know it.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: They're just not going to know it.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_01]: And you know what?
- 34:27[SPEAKER_01]: I guess we have to get them there anyway we can.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing is, I mean, we've done it before to a degree, right?
- 34:35[SPEAKER_00]: But what was I just going to say what was I just going to say I can't remember now, but it was about mega.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_00]: Well since I can't remember I do want an I'll probably remember in a second.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: But I do want to ask you.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_00]: I have not mentioned this on my podcast Bob asked me about it on the after party I'll ask you and then I'll give you my opinion.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_00]: But I want to know what your thoughts are on Graham Platner.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I haven't given much thought to Graham Platner.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: I do know he had some Nazi shit in his past, but I feel like, you know, that's, look, there are skinheads who reform.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: And we're, and I just, I don't know, I don't know enough about Graham Platner.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_01]: If he's a Nazi now, big problems.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: Does he have like some sort of sexual abuse thing or was that all or, well, basically what it was.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, he got,
- 35:25[SPEAKER_00]: he got a tattoo and I don't know what the name of the tattoo is.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: There's a name for it.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: I can't remember.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_00]: I saw what Charlotte Climer wrote a piece on him that I really respected and it was basically saying that because Charlotte's been in the military, right?
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: So she knows, she knows her shit and she was saying, do I but because it was he he says he claims he got drunk plus he served four tours on Iraq.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_00]: So I have some things to say about that.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_00]: that he got drunk and then he got this tattoo.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_00]: And Charlotte said, is it possible that he got drunk?
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: He got this tattoo and he did know it meant.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_00]: She said, possibly, but people in the military knew what that sign meant.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_00]: But she still was like saying, okay, well, he got drunk.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_00]: I can understand that.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_00]: it's a little stretch but I can understand it but then she also just basically went on to say because nobody ever accused him of rape or anything like that.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: It was, it was abusive kind of behavior but it wasn't like touching and raping.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_00]: Just things that he said and he said derogatory things about women and I and then I know that he's made some of his ex-girlfriends.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_00]: feel unsafe.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_00]: And then there were reports that one of them is a Republican and they don't necessarily trust what she said.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to go there.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm automatically going to not believe, but take every woman seriously.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care if they have an R after their name.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_00]: If they say something, I'm going to take them seriously.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not automatically going to believe anybody.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care who you are.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't mean that we shouldn't believe women.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think we should take all women seriously, but when you have a political accusation, you have to be very careful.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_00]: So especially when it's coming from the right, because we all fucking know, they are so fucking dirty tricks.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, one of the things about him and this is not an excuse, so please do not fucking at me on this because I'm not giving him an excuse.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just, if I were a psychologist who had absolutely no emotional, you know, take on this whatsoever.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_00]: Going through four tours of Iraq is gonna fuck you up, right?
- 37:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to give you some kind of PTSD.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I know people who have gone to war and they come back and for a period of time, they are, and it can go on for the rest of your life, but yeah, they might say and do things that are inappropriate and wrong.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_00]: And it doesn't mean that you're a bad person per se.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's just that you're going through PTSD.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm not making excuses for him because I don't even know, right?
- 37:57[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I know a little bit, but I don't know a lot.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_00]: I've read some of the accounts that the women have said, and I did not like him.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_00]: I did not want him to be the nominee.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_00]: I did not want it.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: However, he is.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: And so he's clank, you know, I don't believe, like there are people out there saying he's going to be another federalman.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_00]: I wish they would stop saying that because we don't know that's true.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_00]: If it's true, then Maine will vote him out in six years.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_00]: But don't stay be.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, hopefully.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_00]: Don't start projected.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it would be Democrats, right?
- 38:31[SPEAKER_00]: If he's a Nazi, if he's a federalman, they're going to get rid of him.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_00]: But, I mean, then unfortunately, probably Republican went win.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you can't decide he's a Nazi or he's a federalman until you give him a shot.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: And right now, we know what we get with Susan Collins.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_00]: She defends pedophiles.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_00]: She defends rapists.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_00]: She defends somebody who is convicted of 34 felonies.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_00]: She defends the Republican Party, which is a party full of fascists and rapists and racists.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: We know what we're getting with her.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: With him, we have to take that chance.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I would, you know, if I lived in Maine, I would vote for him.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_00]: I did not want him to be the candidate.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was just horrible.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now, one of the things that he said was, this is what happens when regular people
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: you know run for office and to a degree he has a point I can't run for office I'm not gonna run for office ever because and I haven't even done anything that bad there's no sexual abuse in my past history but all this shit that would come out about me especially because I'm a woman you know getting stoned in high school and shit I don't all come out and everybody would actually get the big fucking deal and it isn't but because like who didn't get stoned in high school but still the whole thing is it's like you know
- 39:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like this guy right now.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_00]: I know he's got a great message.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's very charismatic.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_00]: So he's got that, you know, I mean, Donald Trump is also charismatic with his people.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_00]: But so as far as Graham Plattener is concerned, I do not want to hear like when people, I don't want anyone coming to my Facebook page.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to fucking see, calling him federalman, calling him a Nazi, and it's not because I like him.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_00]: But he's our, you know, right now, he's our only shot to get rid of her.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_00]: She's been there for fucking shit.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_00]: She's full of sex.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_01]: When is she ever told the goddamn truth?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_01]: So we know what we're getting with her.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't, I'm not shitting on Latin or I don't know enough about them.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: Other than a stupid, three basic things I said at the start.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I was, I've been focused on California.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_01]: I've been focused on, I had a girlfriend that ran for Congress and of course, once again, people show in there,
- 40:53[SPEAKER_01]: Bullshit colors like, hey, let's vote for the, let's vote for the, I, I didn't want to go there.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, let's not vote for the, the black woman who's given her entire life, who brings a fresh perspective, who speaks for the people.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_01]: Let's not do that.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, it's really upsetting.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: That's why let's not do that, the hope that it's not sharing actually people among us who have life experience doing the work to make our communities better, right, who are willing to make the sacrifice to serve.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_01]: rather than just be elected so they can call themselves fucking relevant in a political sphere.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sick of that.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_01]: I went to a political event last night with my dear friend, Heather, who runs the voter protection project, which I've talked about before, you know, it's a national pack that plays in Senate and congressional races across the country and focuses on democratic voting rights champions who have also happened to believe in all the other good stuff, right?
- 41:51[SPEAKER_01]: and so we were there and it was big.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: It was at an annual event.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's a climate focused event, so it's climate champions who are either elected in the United States House of Representatives or running to flip seats, right?
- 42:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_01]: And it was it was cool and you know, but we we talked
- 42:14[SPEAKER_01]: that shows how much is in the Powerball and how much is in mega millions.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I think Powerball is at like 280.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_01]: I did the math real quick.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was 286 million.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I said, okay, so she goes, what would you do if you won the Powerball?
- 42:27[SPEAKER_01]: I said, so I cash out at, you know,
- 42:31[SPEAKER_01]: 1.43.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_01]: 150.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because that's the taxes out of that, too.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, that's that that's the taxes that you take him to no, if if if the lottery is at like 200 some million and you cash out then you only get a portion of that and then they tax that.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_01]: Okay fine, whatever.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_01]: So let's call it a hundred million dollars.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm left with it right into the party.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I said the first thing, you know, we were fantasizing and I'm like, well, I get new windows in my house.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_01]: I put a new product in some solar.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_01]: I may be Irish, single it.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, because I don't want to move.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to live here.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_01]: I love my community.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_01]: I want to be here.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_01]: I want to make it great.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: I want to die here.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and I want to be able to hand my kids something because really at the end of the day, that's all they're going to get from me as it and hopefully I live to pay off my mortgage.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I get a hundred million you'd have a little more than that to give.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_01]: Right, but I'm talking about like my regular life.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_01]: We, you know, we got another kid that's starting college in the fall, so like this house ain't getting painted or and and I hope through the roof holds up.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just put it that way.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_01]: But so it's like those stupid little things we get that out of the way.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_01]: I took
- 43:33[SPEAKER_01]: totally hooked my brother and his family up and obviously put some money away from my kids so that they could, you know, have a life.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm focusing on what organization I want to get behind where I can really see things like I would give 12 million dollars to Elaine Brown, the former head of the Black Panther Party, who is
- 43:54[SPEAKER_01]: Also has a foundation, or a 501c to be called Oakland and the world, and her entire focus is on reducing recidivism and seeing formerly incarcerated people who let's face it are mostly black men, have a shot at owning businesses cooperatively and changing the trajectory of their lives, right, and by and and you know, if that happens,
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: than all sorts of great things start happening in Oakland, right?
- 44:24[SPEAKER_01]: And the world, start happening in Oakland and the world.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_01]: I would fund that.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_01]: I would pay for that and we'd have a freaking community grocery store, a community garden at the apartment building that she built, which is at, you know, it's, it's for, it's way reduced rent for,
- 44:41[SPEAKER_01]: for folks who have been in that situation for immigrant families who are living in the community 79 units she built.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: Beautiful.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, this woman does not play at her tender age of 83 years.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, this is what I want to align with because what I want to see is this fucking broken disgusting system change.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe, and when I said to Heather was with all that money, you better believe people are gonna want to talk to my ass.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_01]: And so I would just make sure there's some plugged in microphones and where so I could start saying things like hey politicians.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_01]: Where's our universal health care.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, politicians.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_01]: Where are the policies and I believe me.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not talking particularly my politicians because my politicians kick ass or
- 45:33[SPEAKER_01]: And where are the housing policies that actually make living and working in the neighborhoods an actual thing?
- 45:41[SPEAKER_01]: For the people who aren't gazillionaires, for the people who aren't tech-brows, for the people who didn't look into it, because it was actually somewhat affordable for a dual income family to buy into my neighborhood.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's a, that doesn't happen now.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: I want to live amongst the folks who are making this whole thing go around.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_01]: That includes the teachers, the union laborers, the barista, the restaurant workers, that's the community.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's the world I want to live in.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_01]: I don't just want to see people with money having, you know, this whole thing.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_01]: So here comes my microphone moment.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know who wants to listen to me, but if I got money, they do exactly.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly, money talks right now.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to buy a lot of ticket today because that that'll just you never know you yeah yeah and then I'm going to be like oh yes you want to talk to Stephanie day here she is and and oh by the way she's got a couple things that she wants to say yeah exactly yeah I know I always think about like what because if I were to win the the big money.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_00]: frankly, I wouldn't want to have a big life, right?
- 46:50[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I mean, I would still want to have a quiet, nice, good life and everything.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, so I would take the majority, I would keep my family would be okay and all that shit.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_00]: But then I would just take a big, big hunk and I would try, I wouldn't get rid of it all at once because what I don't know is like set up ongoing payments, like do a trust.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_00]: and then you have on the part part of that would be like oh my god have you seen on Netflix I'm totally changing the subject and I don't remember.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's called a gorilla story it might be called that um oh I can't think of the man's name it's a man's name and you know and he's he is a gorilla guy do you know what I'm talking about it's on Netflix?
- 47:28[SPEAKER_00]: No, but I think I'm not a highly recommend zest with grit oh my god it's so good say that again
- 47:34[SPEAKER_01]: is it the cute guy with tattoos that hold the baby girl to his German Instagram.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_00]: Damn it, okay.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_00]: Older man who whose name you would know, but I just Attenborough David Attenborough, is that I was just going to say that.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, David Attenborough, but I had coffee in my hand.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_00]: That exact time.
- 47:48[SPEAKER_01]: I almost spit it.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, and there's this fucking scene.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I mean, that probably people have seen it.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_00]: But there's he, you know, he was out with the girl as he was younger.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_00]: and he's like all of a sudden like they noticed him or whatever it was and this one little baby gorilla because he like laid down this little baby gorilla got on top of them and was just like hanging out on him and oh my god what an amazing experience that must have been.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_00]: tender breaches say they are but they could also be quite violent and you know I will say this for anybody who's interested in this documentary with the exception of one scene about poachers and they did unfortunately you had to see it it was the Diane Fossie is it Fossie is that her name?
- 48:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah
- 48:34[SPEAKER_00]: story that you know they they remembered that so it is old news but you still see that but the rest of the documentary is all just about the gorillas and you know there's some hard to take shit in there with what they do to each other because you know there's that one dominant male gorilla and
- 48:53[SPEAKER_00]: they have to kind of fight for their position.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_00]: So they do have violence and there's, there is some sadness to it, but it's nature.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's not humans hurting them.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's what already happens in nature and there's not fucking anything you could do about it.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_00]: And you don't really, you don't see gorillas ripping each other apart and killing each other.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_00]: So you don't see that, but you do see fighting.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_00]: So I will say, there is, it's, for somebody who can't take a lot of nature, because of the fighting, I could take this.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_00]: So, and it was so fucking good.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_00]: Also, I just have to throw this in there.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see remarkably bright creatures with Sally Field?
- 49:28[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's really good and it's very sweet and just FYI it's on Netflix and it's about an octopus.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just an octopus, but she is a, you know, she plays a woman who's taking care of an aquarium in the small town and she's got her own little story and the lead male in it is, what's his name, Lewis Pullman and Bob's like, I wonder if that's Bill Pullman's sign, and it is.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_00]: No, I think they look alike.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_00]: And so anyway, it's just a very sweet and poignant movie, which I highly recommend.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's entertaining and Alfred Molina plays the voice of the octopus.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_00]: So it's really good.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_00]: And it's called remarkably bright creatures.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_00]: And so I would definitely put funding into animal stuff and then, you know, civil right stuff and then I'd call you and go, what do I need?
- 50:22[SPEAKER_00]: Tell me where I need to put my money because you're, you're in the know.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_01]: I try.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you are more than me.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_01]: Well.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_00]: I ain't got no money no more well, you know, I mean, I don't have I don't I do try I give to save a fox That's my like I that's your that's your pet project.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I know me call this death was just about I think it might have been a year ago I think it was on the 20th
- 50:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure, but, and that was just so fucking devastating.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_00]: And I know, I will say this though, I mean, I have talking about grief.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_00]: So, she was married to Ethan, and she, you know, took her own life.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_00]: And it was a combination of bullying online and the fact that she had all kinds of mental issues.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_00]: And so anyway, he found her, and it was so devastating, and that not only did she leave him with his entire
- 51:15[SPEAKER_00]: you know, save a fox corporation.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_00]: They have a daughter and he's been struggling, you know, he'll post and he'll talk about, I'm not happy.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just never happy.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_00]: I can't do it.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_00]: But recently, he made a post and he said, life still sucks, but and he talked about this car because he's all in the cars and he likes to rebuild cars and stuff like that.
- 51:35[SPEAKER_00]: So he,
- 51:37[SPEAKER_00]: did show some excitement and joy for this experience.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_00]: This car experience, something happened that, you know, he got a car that he wasn't expecting.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_00]: Anyway,
- 51:48[SPEAKER_00]: That gives me hope because it's like, you know, obviously he's gonna grieve her for the rest of his life.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_00]: But hopefully he's gonna get past that, because like after, it's like my mom was saying, after a year, it's kind of, it's not that it gets easier, but you're finished with all the first, no.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like the first time this happened, the first time this happened, the first Christmas, the first birthday point.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_00]: And so, yeah, I mean, it's just, I try to give to them as much as I possibly can, because I don't even know, I mean, I hope he can,
- 52:17[SPEAKER_00]: Keep it open and all of that stuff.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's been doing it for a year, but you know, she was the one driving all of the money.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's like when she died, I thought, oh my god, I want to win the lottery, just so I could give him a bunch of money.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_00]: And then do whatever you want with it.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_00]: Sell it, keep it whatever, but just everything's taking care of.
- 52:36[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, that would be good.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_00]: That would be a good thing, but you know, we're just going to have to do without our millions.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_01]: We still have a lot to do and we keep working a lot.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_01]: We can.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_01]: And we do.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, money doesn't do everything until we live in such a grotesque.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's what gets people's attention, which is gross.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_01]: So I would, you know, I would take that money and I would try to do good things with it.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_01]: I would obviously take her my family and maybe have some of her cute clothes.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_01]: Of course.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to have the cute clothes and you got to have the nice home.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_00]: But I want to be so I just want to myself.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_01]: No, I just want to I got to say I just want a new roof and a paint job really in some and some new windows that I can actually open that aren't hanging by ropes.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_01]: We got kids.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, like, I can live off a two open windows in my bedroom.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_01]: I don't need them all open right now.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_01]: I got my or it's okay.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_01]: What I'm saying is, you know, when I want to live in a world where we have justice over charity.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_01]: You know, some of these nonprofits, they exist because the world ain't right.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, right.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have justice.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because there's always going to be some shitty fucking human.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_00]: who's just not listening to the bigger part of themselves.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we've all done it, right?
- 53:52[SPEAKER_00]: We've all, we've all not listened to ourself.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_00]: When we knew we should be doing better, but it's like, I look at Donald Trump and I just think did he even hear that voice on him because it's there, but it's like, probably buried so deep, he does, he's not even aware of it, you know?
- 54:11[SPEAKER_00]: There is that part of us in us that tells you,
- 54:16[SPEAKER_00]: Does he?
- 54:17[SPEAKER_01]: Does he?
- 54:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he has any voice that speaks to him.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_00]: Except for the evil ego voice.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think that it just exactly that's exactly right like I look at it There's like the sole part of us voice that knows better when you know better and then there's there's the ego voice It's going to do it do it and he just hears that
- 54:47[SPEAKER_01]: He just do a do it voice the voice that the angel in the devil on exactly.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_01]: It's only the devil.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_00]: The angel in Trump's shoulder fucking died and he only has the devil.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's like, that's all he's got.
- 55:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's, and now he's demented.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like, let's, let's keep going over how fucked up he is.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_00]: And also, I just want to say there's this woman.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_00]: She is kind of like a adjacent to the Epistemic crisis doctor.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I listen to her, she's a voice speech therapist.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_00]: today she was doing and she's like, did he have another stroke?
- 55:27[SPEAKER_00]: And she was saying she's like, look, I am not able to diagnose a stroke.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a doctor.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a speech therapist.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_00]: However, I can look at things like every every other fucking person in the world and make some deductions.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_00]: And so,
- 55:40[SPEAKER_00]: Her latest video was talking about, oh, God, I wish I still, I wish I would have kept it and I don't.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's called dysthromia or something like that.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_00]: But basically what it was is it's what's happening to his mouth when he's talking.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_00]: And so the epistemic crisis doctor the other day, I don't know if he's, I think you saw it because I think I saw that you liked it, but I'm not sure.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_00]: But he was talking about how when Trump was talking, it sounded like he had to go, like he's like, I would have cough 30 times.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_00]: just listening to Trump talking because you could hear it in his throat.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_00]: And then his mouth, you know, like the excess, he doesn't have that involuntary swallow reflex.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_00]: And so she was talking about not only like, okay, epistemic crisis doctor yesterday talked about how he shook Macron's hand,
- 56:26[SPEAKER_00]: and how, you know, he likes to do that really struggle handshake to show how powerful he is.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_00]: And the way he shook Macron's hand, it was like almost limp.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like he, his arm, it looked like Macron was kind of helping him hold it up.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_00]: There was a couple other things, but basically both of them were eluding and she was straight up saying, it looks like he had another stroke.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_00]: And so I was thinking about this and I thought, you know, I know he's got all these drugs and everything that a lot of Americans may not have access to.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the drugs that are helping him perform are making him worse in the bigger picture.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like my mom's cat had all these fucking issues when his whole life and they kept getting him pregnant zone.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_00]: So the pregnant zone kept him alive until it ultimately killed him.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_00]: If he did not have the pregnant zone, he would have died a lot sooner.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_00]: So it kept him alive longer.
- 57:25[SPEAKER_00]: but eventually it's what killed him.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel like, you know, and that doctor said, the number one death, and I don't remember the name of it, but the number one death for Fronto Temporal Dimensha, basically has to do.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_00]: Was it aspirating on food?
- 57:40[SPEAKER_00]: Is that the right way to say it?
- 57:41[SPEAKER_00]: Stephanie's thing cut out, and I'm going to try to edit this out.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so if it seems awkward, this is why, but the epistemic crisis doctor said that the number one death, cause of death for frontal temporal dementia, is like aspiration or food part of it.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what we're looking at, and it's getting worse for him, and she's saying he's got, he had another, she thinks he had another stroke, which yeah, of course.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_00]: I swear to God, I would be surprised if he's alive at the end of this year.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think that or do you think that or do you think you're just like I don't know?
- 58:14[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_01]: I had the conversation with someone last night who shall remain unnamed.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he makes it through the summer.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_01]: Interesting.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, I'm going to go.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go with the end of the year just to be on the safe side and I'm not really good with predictions.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I thought, I'm not a doctor with 14 years in my, I know.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_01]: taking care of it and doing income health care for um elders.
- 58:45[SPEAKER_01]: I know the thing by heart.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_00]: And I know you've done it on the show before.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_01]: I have oh shoot.
- 58:50[SPEAKER_01]: I've sent it to work.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_01]: God, my jokes.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm turning into that person that tells the same joke over the bed.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god, I've done that.
- 58:56[SPEAKER_01]: I can't even tell.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and I blew it, like I blew it.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_01]: I got some filthy jokes which I will not tell on this show because we will lose people for sure.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_01]: But I'll tell you when we turn when we turn the machine off here.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_01]: And it will stick in you.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's good though.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_00]: It gets stops people in their tracks.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's a three-parter.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_01]: So listen, I will say I first was talking about before the primary in California.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_01]: I was talking to some friends and they were like,
- 59:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's a cockroach.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's just it's never going to happen.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_01]: I go no no no he doesn't make it to the he doesn't make it to the general election and November he is he is he is by ruling the man is not well and I don't want to root for somebody's death one of my very dear friends is I don't want to talk about I go listen.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's not well.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_01]: We can talk about the fact he doesn't look well.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_01]: He can't stay awake.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_01]: He has dementia for sure.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_01]: His ankles look like elephant legs.
- 59:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's he's got the booboos on his hands.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_00]: He wanders all the time.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_00]: He can't walk.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_01]: He wandered yesterday.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_01]: All the G7 guys were like, hey, this way, other side of the sky.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_01]: Um, the, the leader of India had to help him up one step yesterday, he's not the man.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_00]: No, he's not.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_01]: Well, if this were Biden.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_01]: He to stand down right now, right in Harris.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's a fact, Jack.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_01]: But, but the Republicans, I mean, let can we, before we end, can I add one other thing, please?
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_01]: Of course.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_01]: I hate Joe Rogan.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm so tired of of people giving these white, like in modeling podcasters there, because they have showed you your audience.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_01]: And because they're white men, let's just say what it is.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_01]: a second chance.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_01]: No mother fucker.
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_01]: You are a bootlicker.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_01]: You patted that piece of shit who said that horrific thing about Michelle Obama.
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_01]: You patted him on the back and smirk while it was happening.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_01]: Go fuck yourself, you disgusting bootlicking rifter.
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_01]: This is the most corrupt regime, yes, you know, and Pete Higgseth, like I would, I want to stand next to Pete Higgseth in a gym and put him to sleep.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_01]: I am a 60-year-old woman and he had 12 pound dumbbells in his heart.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_01]: His rubber alcohol infested body could not lift.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_01]: These people are posers in every possible way.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_01]: They're posers as people who know how to run a government.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_01]: They're posers as real men.
- 1:01:43[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they have ruined and taken the problem is they have the power.
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they have the power and the broken system is just going to continue to roll on as long as there is in power and poor people are going to continue to die because they don't have health care.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_01]: And we go to change that shit.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_01]: So let's let's give me that give me the microphone and the lottery.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_01]: And because I will have I will have nothing to lose because you know what I'm saying.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_01]: Put a big mouth bitch with a fake account full of need to shirt.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_00]: It says big mouth bitch.
- 1:02:25[UNKNOWN]: Right.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_01]: I want to shirt that says that.
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a big mouth fit.
- 1:02:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a big.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_01]: Remember when Chrissy Tygan got in trouble for calling who she call a pussy ass fit?
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_00]: Can't be a big.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody got her in.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_01]: It was great.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_01]: Like why can't we just, that's real, right?
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_01]: I know.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_01]: That's real.
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_01]: That's real.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_01]: We got it.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_01]: We got to win.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_01]: But then we got to start holding these elected officials accountable and say, we need universal healthcare.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_01]: We're not having any other conversation.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_00]: And that's like the elections aren't the end of the story people.
- 1:03:00[SPEAKER_00]: We need to fucking stay on our people.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_00]: We need to stay on our representatives.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like I get so angry, especially with these fucking
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_00]: I rolling progressives who act like, you know, you can never even look at a centrist.
- 1:03:14[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, I'm not a centrist, but I realize there are certain states that are going to need centrists in order to win.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_00]: But the whole point here is if you want to have, okay, if you don't want, if Grandpa and her wins and you don't want him to become a fucking John Fetterman, stay on his fucking ass, Maine, right?
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_00]: You got to stay on his ass, and let him know, because if you just sit
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_00]: then he's going to do whatever he wants.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_00]: He needs to hear for your paying him, you know, we're all paying our representatives, our tax dollars are paying them.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_00]: And even though Graham Platner does have something to do with me, it's not my election to vote for him, but the way he votes will affect me.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_01]: And if anybody around the nation change that everybody says they want.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, I'm tired of, you know, Democrats just sort of giving up.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we won the midterms now.
- 1:04:04[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_01]: Back to businesses.
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_01]: No, we like to find.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, no.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_00]: We have to stay on them.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_00]: And because our politicians, especially with citizens united and packs in play, of course they're going to take them.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_00]: If you were a fucking Democrat, more than likely you would too.
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_00]: You would have to take PAC money, even though you fucking hate it.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_00]: you know, not everybody does.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_00]: Some people are starting to say no, I'm not going to do it, but most of them do.
- 1:04:30[SPEAKER_00]: Most of them do.
- 1:04:31[SPEAKER_00]: And most of them need that fucking money in order to try and win that.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's how you win elections, periodically.
- 1:04:36[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like we can also do judgment for people taking pack money.
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_00]: But that's how it's working right now.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not going to change unless we the people fucking stand up to make that change.
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_01]: It's not up to that people.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_01]: in order to form a more perfect union.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_00]: Remember that from schoolhouse or yeah schoolhouse rock was the bomb.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_00]: Too bad we don't have stuff like that now but it's impossible because young people don't even oh my god I'm just going to end up with this.
- 1:05:04[SPEAKER_00]: I was talking to two 20 year olds and they didn't know who to me more is.
- 1:05:10[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know what to say about that.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and I know why I figured it out because there was a girl in my grocery store who didn't know who Charlie Sheen was and I thought, how is this even possible?
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_00]: It's because of the internet and how people's attentions are spread out.
- 1:05:24[SPEAKER_00]: No, before all we had was a TV and you know, I knew everybody from my, when I was fucking nine, I knew people from my grandparents' generation.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_00]: I knew the famous people watching Canon with our families.
- 1:05:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we were all, and we were all watching the UHF, and we were watching the black and black and the old movies, and I was watching shows like, oh, what is it?
- 1:05:46[SPEAKER_00]: Laurel and Hardy.
- 1:05:48[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, you see, the one with little rascals, yeah, and I mean, then I would watch the shows with my grandmother, the Freda Stair and the ginger Rogers dancing in the movies.
- 1:05:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and it's like, but young people these days don't have this, and it's not to blame them.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's not their fault.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_00]: There's just not a one.
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_00]: media place where everyone goes anymore.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_00]: So they don't know who thought I was like, I knew my grid.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_00]: Fucking to me more is my generation.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_00]: And a 20 year old doesn't know it.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_00]: When I was fucking nine, I knew who ginger Rogers was.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_01]: So, and that's just because of the way the the world is now that you're exactly right because we didn't have a lot of choice.
- 1:06:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's like what's on channel 44 right on the UHF dial.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I guess I'll watch that.
- 1:06:37[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and and then that way.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's it's different.
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, we we do it in a different way.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like our I don't know why my dad was really big into movies and so going to going to the movie theater and and that was a thing for us as yes, he kids.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_01]: And so we did that with our kids.
- 1:06:56[SPEAKER_01]: And now, hey, low and behold, both of my kids are filmmakers.
- 1:06:58[SPEAKER_01]: And this is the world that they want.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_01]: But we also we watch movies and shows together as a family.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a thing.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_01]: And that's, you know, the closeness, you know, you try to bond in certain ways with with your family members, whatever, you know, whether you have kids or not.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_01]: But let me tell you what, I might be a 60 year old, and you know I know who Raymond Verra is.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even need to say the show.
- 1:07:26[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, because you and I grew up in that area, and we hung out with our grandparents, and that was just the way it is.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_01]: And I also know, though, who Connor, story and Hudson Williams are, and let me tell you what, those 25 year olds who did heated rivalry, like I can play in that arena as well.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_01]: Because we're just, and we will fight you, and we will fight you, and we might even win.
- 1:07:52[SPEAKER_01]: We might lose our balance a little bit because we're in our sixties, but I, yeah, I mean, come on.
- 1:07:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:07:59[SPEAKER_01]: And then, and Gen X is raising Gen Z.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_01]: And so I know it's crazy my kids are 10 tears and then there's Jen alpha that's the even younger one And I saw something on Instagram that said here's Jen alpha it was the adult playing in Jen alpha person and they're like Jen alpha is just mean But I don't even know what age group that is but it was really fun.
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you can watch a horse give girl and you can watch somebody pop a zip.
- 1:08:29[SPEAKER_01]: You can watch the epistemic crisis You can watch somebody.
- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_00]: Did you see the did you see the video of the robot doing the Michael Jots Jackson dancing and falling
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_00]: No, that is one of the most hysterical things I've ever seen in my life.
- 1:08:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to send that to you.
- 1:08:47[SPEAKER_00]: So just keep your eye out for it.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's so fucking funny.
- 1:08:50[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, it's funny.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_00]: But I guess we should wrap this up.
- 1:08:54[SPEAKER_01]: I could get long.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_00]: No, you didn't don't be sorry.
- 1:08:57[SPEAKER_00]: Don't never be sorry.
- 1:08:58[SPEAKER_00]: What do we want to do people?
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_01]: What's our what's our our little parting words if I could could I have a party on the Trump is dying.
- 1:09:05[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, that's good.
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_01]: Oops.
- 1:09:08[SPEAKER_01]: That's probably happening.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_01]: He's not always my final word.
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_01]: What's yours.
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_01]: He's not well.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_01]: My final word is.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_01]: if we could just go forward and know that we vote, we do what we can, whether it's volunteer, whether it's give money to the organizations or politicians or whatever that mean something to us that we, and then we hold people accountable and never stop asking for what we as a people deserve.
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_01]: The housing.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_01]: Ryan health care is a human right bodily autonomy voting is is a right like these are the things and these are the basics that we need to continue to to say to the people who we elect that we pay with our taxpayer dollars and say hey look it's really important that my mom
- 1:09:49[SPEAKER_01]: even though she was diagnosed with cancer and has a little bit of money in the bank and has health care that she shouldn't go broke while she's dying.
- 1:09:57[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 1:09:57[SPEAKER_01]: That people that families shouldn't have to worry about leaving their house because they're brown and they're worried they're going to get snatched off the streets by ice.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_01]: Because this is happening in all of our communities and we know that's true.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_01]: That every kid should be able to have a full belly while they're on a public school
- 1:10:18[SPEAKER_01]: Right, that sports programs in an after school situation shouldn't just be reserved for kids whose parents have the money to pay the fees.
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_01]: We should be offering we should be living in a society where every child has an opportunity.
- 1:10:36[SPEAKER_01]: to exert their power so that they have a future.
- 1:10:41[SPEAKER_01]: In some way, shape or form like all of these things, these are just basic things.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_01]: And so when we talked to people who may have had a Confederate flag hanging in the back of their pick up with a gun rack at one point, there's something in them that we agree upon.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, kids should deserve an opportunity to realize their power and to prosper.
- 1:11:04[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's just start there.
- 1:11:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:11:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:11:07[SPEAKER_01]: And so I want to try.
- 1:11:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:11:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a fighter and I'm a psycho and all this shit.
- 1:11:12[SPEAKER_01]: But I know that these are just the base, these are the baseline things that make our society better.
- 1:11:20[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah, you know, I don't, I'll, I'll, I'll wager that Trump isn't going to make it through the summer.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever.
- 1:11:27[SPEAKER_01]: He's fucked our world up.
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, yes.
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_01]: Now what's the common thread that how do we fix it?
- 1:11:35[SPEAKER_01]: Your pissed maga triple trunper that you can't afford eggs, put gas in your car?
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, how do we fix it?
- 1:11:42[SPEAKER_01]: What's that, how we fix it is by electing people who believe in X, Y, and Z.
- 1:11:47[SPEAKER_01]: And that's gonna make it all better.
- 1:11:49[SPEAKER_01]: But it's gonna be a lot of work.
- 1:11:50[SPEAKER_01]: We may not realize it in our lifetime, but I'm down to get in the dirt to make sure that it happens.
- 1:11:59[SPEAKER_00]: Did that make any sense?
- 1:12:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, the 100% and I agree.
- 1:12:03[SPEAKER_00]: You're always correct, and you're fighting passion.
- 1:12:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's spirit is what everybody loves.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's no it is.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_01]: See how I drag you into another 15 minutes of show.
- 1:12:13[SPEAKER_01]: You're trying to say goodbye to me with my earpods.
- 1:12:15[SPEAKER_01]: Well, okay.
- 1:12:18[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I love you, and you're amazing.
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_01]: And you do your part every day.
- 1:12:23[SPEAKER_01]: You flip this microphone on, baby.
- 1:12:24[SPEAKER_01]: Well, thank you.
- 1:12:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's much smaller than it has ever been, but that's okay.
- 1:12:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's okay.
- 1:12:30[SPEAKER_00]: My show is a smaller version of what it used to be, but I'm still doing it, and I still care, and I'm still here.
