- 0:04Speaker 2: A M six forty.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Knows the amount of money we're spending on the space program,
- 0:12Speaker 3: which I love. Tell that to a few starving kids.
- 0:16Speaker 3: We'd rather Oh my god.
- 0:17Speaker 2: You're gonna talk about starving kids. Why don't you downsize?
- 0:20Speaker 2: I did downsize again. Why don't you knock an elevator?
- 0:27Speaker 4: Let me tell you what I think about the space program.
- 0:30Speaker 4: I love, okay, love how.
- 0:31Speaker 2: You are in a gated community and you try and
- 0:34Speaker 2: act like you're a man of the people.
- 0:36Speaker 1: And now handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen. Here's
- 0:41Speaker 1: Bill Handle. Hi, good morning everybody.
- 0:46Speaker 3: It's Wednesday morning, a full eighth and it is h
- 0:51Speaker 3: the day after the attack on Iran in which the
- 0:55Speaker 3: US has decimated, obliterated Iran.
- 0:58Speaker 4: He's taken it back into the stone as well.
- 1:01Speaker 2: That didn't happen.
- 1:02Speaker 4: So what did I say? What did we say yesterday?
- 1:08Speaker 3: And that is that Trump is going to once again
- 1:12Speaker 3: move the goalposts, which he of course has done. And yeah,
- 1:17Speaker 3: we talk about rhinos, you know, Republican.
- 1:21Speaker 2: In name only.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Well, some people are describing President Trump as a taco,
- 1:29Speaker 3: right boy.
- 1:33Speaker 2: You love it. I did text. It's The first thing
- 1:35Speaker 2: I did was text you and said you called it? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:38Speaker 2: you did yep a taco what is it? Trump again?
- 1:44Speaker 4: Yeah? Trump always chicked chickens out or again chickens out?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:48Speaker 5: Did he chicken out? Or did he not want to
- 1:50Speaker 5: do it? And they they came to enough of an
- 1:53Speaker 5: agreement that they said, we.
- 1:54Speaker 4: Don't have to well everything the agreement.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Okay, let I'm going to talk about this, but let
- 1:59Speaker 3: me put it in perspect a perspective. Number one, the ceasefire,
- 2:04Speaker 3: of course, has has nothing to do with the nuclear
- 2:07Speaker 3: enriched uranium that's off the table. The state sponsored terrorism
- 2:11Speaker 3: that's off the table. Nothing there. Missile production and storage,
- 2:17Speaker 3: nothing there, drone production, manufacturing storage, nothing there.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Now it doesn't matter though Bill, if he did something,
- 2:27Speaker 2: he's a warmonger if he didn't chickens out.
- 2:30Speaker 4: That true.
- 2:31Speaker 3: However, however, every day, let's get let's get real. It
- 2:35Speaker 3: turned out the only thing that was left is opening
- 2:37Speaker 3: the Strait of Hormuz, which did open. Now what is
- 2:43Speaker 3: being left out is that Iran military controls the state
- 2:47Speaker 3: of Iran, and the administration agreed to that. The Iranian
- 2:52Speaker 3: military now controls the Straits of Haran, of Straits of
- 2:57Speaker 3: horm moose and according to reports, the few ships that
- 3:02Speaker 3: have gotten through have in fact paid to go through.
- 3:06Speaker 3: The Strait of Hormuz is going to become a toll
- 3:08Speaker 3: booth and that is the problem. So it all boiled
- 3:12Speaker 3: down and opening up the straits, but agreeing to let
- 3:15Speaker 3: the straits be controlled by your on that's what the
- 3:18Speaker 3: United States has agreed to. That's the reality. There is
- 3:22Speaker 3: no regime change that has not happened. No matter how
- 3:26Speaker 3: much the administration says we have successfully made regime change,
- 3:31Speaker 3: that's not true. It's still the same regime. Comparing it
- 3:35Speaker 3: to for example, let's say the President of the United States,
- 3:39Speaker 3: the Chief Justice, the Speaker, and the Secretary of State
- 3:43Speaker 3: all get taken out in an attack. Then does the
- 3:47Speaker 3: other side claim regime change. We no longer have a democracy,
- 3:51Speaker 3: We no longer have a government in place. There's a
- 3:54Speaker 3: new government the old. The other thing is, we now
- 3:58Speaker 3: have a regime that has some smart people that's willing
- 4:03Speaker 3: to sit down and talk with us. By all reports,
- 4:06Speaker 3: it's a harder regime that is more steadfast against the
- 4:11Speaker 3: United States.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Hey, you know, just give me a reality, that's all
- 4:14Speaker 4: I ask.
- 4:15Speaker 3: You know, don't give you in all our military all
- 4:17Speaker 3: our military decisions, all our military efforts have been completely realized,
- 4:22Speaker 3: right the drones, the missiles, the sponsorship of the state,
- 4:29Speaker 3: sponsorship of terrorists, none of that.
- 4:34Speaker 4: So you just don't don't don't.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Pee down the back of my leg and tell me
- 4:38Speaker 2: it's raining. Okay, God forbid. Politicians lie to you, Bill,
- 4:43Speaker 2: I know I done that.
- 4:45Speaker 4: No Democrat, Now, of course they lie, but not on this.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Okay, when's the last time?
- 4:54Speaker 3: And by the way, I'm not arguing that Democrats don't
- 4:56Speaker 3: lie like crazy.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Hundred million dollars have gone to home homelessness in Los Angeles,
- 5:01Speaker 2: and you don't give a rats ass that there's no account.
- 5:05Speaker 2: You're right away home, are you? Hold on? You're not.
- 5:10Speaker 3: You're not defending this, are you by saying, wow, he
- 5:16Speaker 3: killed them too?
- 5:17Speaker 2: You know, I'm just saying that. It's like, Okay, when's
- 5:20Speaker 2: the last time a devil itself doesn't make I'm not arguing, Okay,
- 5:25Speaker 2: everybody lies.
- 5:26Speaker 3: When's the last time a democratic lie caused the entire
- 5:29Speaker 3: world market to reel?
- 5:32Speaker 2: And oil?
- 5:33Speaker 4: Today, and oil it has bounced.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Back to a way above what it was before the war.
- 5:41Speaker 3: It has bounced back to ninety seven dollars a barrel
- 5:44Speaker 3: from sixty seven dollars a barrel. You're right, from one
- 5:47Speaker 3: hundred and fifteen dollars a veteral to ninety seven, one
- 5:50Speaker 3: hundred percent. It has bounced back, and we're going to
- 5:54Speaker 3: hear today that we're back to normal. Go to the pumps,
- 5:59Speaker 3: go to gain at gasoline today and tell me it's
- 6:01Speaker 3: bounced back.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Neil, Oh, you mean in your in your wife's ten.
- 6:07Speaker 4: It doesn't matter.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Okay, you're right, you're right because I have a car
- 6:11Speaker 2: that you have an electric car on one hand, and
- 6:15Speaker 2: then you have a car from Neil. Why why let
- 6:18Speaker 2: me ask you this. Why can't you just accept the
- 6:21Speaker 2: fact that we are being lied to and the world
- 6:24Speaker 2: is reeling, I mean reeling from what is happening. I
- 6:28Speaker 2: mean we're being whipsawd. Money, as you know, reacts to emotion. Period.
- 6:36Speaker 2: The stock market is an emotional roller coaster, and people
- 6:40Speaker 2: are responding to this man different than anybody.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Right because he didn't because because he didn't attack Iran.
- 6:49Speaker 3: I get that, because that was just bluster. You know,
- 6:52Speaker 3: let's just get a reality check.
- 6:54Speaker 2: You want him to attack Iran?
- 6:55Speaker 4: Well, actually I thought attacking Iran was a good deal,
- 6:58Speaker 4: but it might be still And no, no, he's no.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Come on, it'll be another two weeks after this, two
- 7:04Speaker 3: weeks and then it'll be another two weeks.
- 7:06Speaker 4: I mean, give me a break.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Do you really believe that two weeks from now the
- 7:10Speaker 3: attack is not going is going to happen?
- 7:13Speaker 2: You really believe that we don't need you know, we
- 7:15Speaker 2: don't need, we don't need to every other day that
- 7:18Speaker 2: this guy Wonger, he does whatever he wants. He doesn't
- 7:21Speaker 2: listen to anybody. He only does what he wants. Everybody
- 7:24Speaker 2: does what he wants to say. And then on the
- 7:25Speaker 2: flip side that he always chickens out. You know, I'm not.
- 7:31Speaker 2: He's both.
- 7:32Speaker 3: He's he's well, he does chicken out, and he is
- 7:34Speaker 3: a warmonger because he started the war. He started the war.
- 7:37Speaker 3: You don't see infrastructure all over Iran, all over the
- 7:39Speaker 3: Middle East having been blown up.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Absurd, all of it's absurd. But the reality station with
- 7:46Speaker 2: this guy in it, you know from late night TV.
- 7:49Speaker 2: You're right, No, you're right, it's no, you're right. He's
- 7:51Speaker 2: just he's all bluster. No, he's all bluster. Nothing has
- 7:54Speaker 2: been attacked, nobody has not published. Huh, he's unlikable. I
- 7:58Speaker 2: don't know where he goes. Hey, Neil, don't I don't
- 8:01Speaker 2: know where to go. You you, you look.
- 8:03Speaker 3: At the Golf States where refineries have been taken out, right,
- 8:07Speaker 3: you look at the price of gas.
- 8:08Speaker 4: And what you do is say, oh, Bill, you have
- 8:10Speaker 4: an escalade.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Therefore, who took out the refineries? Oh?
- 8:14Speaker 3: Roan took out refineries that are in the Gulf States,
- 8:18Speaker 3: attacked refineries all over the Gulf States in response, in
- 8:23Speaker 3: response to them being attacked. That's the reality. Just you know,
- 8:27Speaker 3: you know what the politics of this. By the way,
- 8:32Speaker 3: also Aman the Emirates Saudi Arabia, also we're taking it's
- 8:38Speaker 3: a quitaries attacked. Crazy, Okay, therefore it okay, that's brilliant, brilliant,
- 8:47Speaker 3: brilliant analysis, Neil.
- 8:49Speaker 4: Thank you. This is all just to avoid the Epstein files.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Yeah that's another one.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, that's another one.
- 8:57Speaker 3: And by the way, I'm not saying democrats aren't is,
- 9:00Speaker 3: but I'll tell you there'll be no democrat that would
- 9:02Speaker 3: threaten to wipe out an entire civilization that you wouldn't hear.
- 9:06Speaker 2: That's all, you know.
- 9:07Speaker 3: That's uh, it's it's and and some people are arguing
- 9:10Speaker 3: that that's a negotiating.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Listen, Democrats are doing their share. I don't belong to
- 9:19Speaker 2: either side. Democrats only want to wipe out the civilization
- 9:24Speaker 2: they are overseeing at the time, because we're doing so
- 9:27Speaker 2: great in California from all those bleeding hearts that want
- 9:31Speaker 2: to lead everything every day into that's two different Neil.
- 9:36Speaker 4: The problem is that that's two different topics. It's sapples
- 9:39Speaker 4: and oranges.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Think local, man, there's so much going on here. You're right, absolutely.
- 9:44Speaker 4: I agree. Locally is were hemorrhagy. You're right right.
- 9:47Speaker 2: We're looking at the at all of the teachers walking
- 9:51Speaker 2: out next week or next school. It's like Orange, Neil.
- 9:58Speaker 3: The schools aren't being bombed. That's the difference the Democrats
- 10:01Speaker 3: and bombing.
- 10:02Speaker 2: They are bombed by weapons of destruction, by bad policies
- 10:08Speaker 2: in stupid leadership.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Right, So there are so the kids don't have school.
- 10:12Speaker 3: The buildings aren't even there anymore. They've been wiped out
- 10:14Speaker 3: by the Democrats. Okay, Neil, Neil, Neil, Neil, Trump loves.
- 10:18Speaker 2: I'm gonna say this right out, Trump loves potholes all right.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Time for handle on the news, Amy Neil and me
- 10:24Speaker 3: oh I didn't say good morning, everybody, Good morning, everybody, Okay,
- 10:28Speaker 3: lead story fire right.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Two week.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Suspension, ceasefire two weeks. I'll talk more about that coming
- 10:37Speaker 3: up at the top of the hour, because we did
- 10:38Speaker 3: the entire first segment on it.
- 10:42Speaker 4: All right, Amy.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Oils up, dows well, actually oils down. Dow's up since
- 10:48Speaker 5: the ceasefire was announced. US crewed futures are down about
- 10:51Speaker 5: twenty percent, and so it's less than ninety five bucks
- 10:55Speaker 5: a barrel now, and US stock futures and also Asian
- 10:59Speaker 5: markets jumped up. The Dow is in futures because the
- 11:03Speaker 5: market's going to open about seven minutes up twelve hundred
- 11:06Speaker 5: bus twelve.
- 11:07Speaker 2: It's going to be a good day.
- 11:08Speaker 5: Nasdac's up three and a half percent, up eight hundred
- 11:11Speaker 5: and sixty. And then the overseas, the Nike average up
- 11:14Speaker 5: almost five percent, South Korea up five point seven percent,
- 11:17Speaker 5: in Hong Kong's Hang Sing index is up almost three percent.
- 11:22Speaker 4: Yep, we're going to see a good day in stocks.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Uh, and oil is going to go Was it ninety
- 11:29Speaker 3: seven dollars a barrel?
- 11:31Speaker 6: No, it's down to ninety two.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Ninety two a barrel from a high I A think
- 11:35Speaker 3: what one fourteen, but from sixty seven before the war started.
- 11:40Speaker 3: So there's a lot of volatility going on, and I'll
- 11:43Speaker 3: talk much more about that coming up at seven eight.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Where do we want that bill?
- 11:47Speaker 3: About sixty five sixty five seventy, Yeah, that's your sweet spot.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Sixty five seventy dollars a barrel.
- 11:53Speaker 3: That's that keeps the oil producer old pic Nations going
- 11:58Speaker 3: pretty strong, or enough money going in enough for us
- 12:01Speaker 3: to use California's weird because we know the price of
- 12:05Speaker 3: gas and oil here is just insane.
- 12:08Speaker 2: We can't complain here.
- 12:09Speaker 3: It's all, yeah, well we're a complete outlier here. But
- 12:12Speaker 3: for the most part, everything is on the world market.
- 12:14Speaker 3: But sixty five seventy seems to be comfortable for everybody.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Certainly not ninety seven or ninety two, and certainly not
- 12:22Speaker 3: one hundred and fourteen. So could you have imagined if
- 12:25Speaker 3: the attack did happen, Oh, my goodness, what would have happened?
- 12:30Speaker 3: So now the problem now, the point is is how
- 12:33Speaker 3: quickly can we get back. There's still some real issues
- 12:36Speaker 3: with a straight up horror moves. I'll talk about that
- 12:39Speaker 3: coming up at seven o'clock.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Boy, the days of being able to look your enemy
- 12:44Speaker 2: in the eye. Were the good old days. Iranian hackers
- 12:47Speaker 2: are exploiting cyber vulnerabilities and some US water systems, energy providers.
- 12:53Speaker 2: These are key software systems, so basically there are you know,
- 12:59Speaker 2: in order for these systems to be manageable, they have
- 13:03Speaker 2: to be online often, and with them being online, that's
- 13:07Speaker 2: a back door that is used. So this particular advisory
- 13:11Speaker 2: that went out does not specify which Iranian hacking group
- 13:14Speaker 2: is behind the attacks, only noting noting that it's in
- 13:18Speaker 2: the Iranian affiliated group that are the persistent threat threat
- 13:25Speaker 2: actors is what they call them, that are targeting the
- 13:28Speaker 2: US critical infrastructure organization. So this is the new way
- 13:32Speaker 2: of war.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Actually, yeah, well we know is going to happen.
- 13:35Speaker 3: The only thing that is I guess any kind of
- 13:38Speaker 3: silver lining is a.
- 13:40Speaker 4: Hack is pretty specific.
- 13:41Speaker 3: There is no way to hack an entire grid or
- 13:45Speaker 3: an entire military because they are different. It's somewhat separated out.
- 13:53Speaker 3: That's the only saving grace anything that is connected. Oh,
- 13:57Speaker 3: that's problem. That's a problem.
- 14:01Speaker 5: An elephant for an elephant. The Republicans have held onto
- 14:05Speaker 5: a house seat in Georgia. Marjorie Taylor Green resigned a
- 14:09Speaker 5: couple of months ago, and so they had an election
- 14:13Speaker 5: to replace her for the remainder of her term, and
- 14:16Speaker 5: Republican Clay Fuller beat Democrat John Harris in a special
- 14:20Speaker 5: run off election.
- 14:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:22Speaker 3: Now, this does not bode well for the Republicans even
- 14:25Speaker 3: if they did win it, because this is a red
- 14:28Speaker 3: state in which the Republicans should win by thirty five
- 14:31Speaker 3: to forty points and it didn't happen. I mean, the
- 14:34Speaker 3: Republican won, I mean, no question about it, but not
- 14:37Speaker 3: even close to what traditionally is going to happen. And
- 14:41Speaker 3: then state seats for elective office judges Democrats swept.
- 14:46Speaker 4: So it is.
- 14:49Speaker 3: All signs point to the Republicans getting smashed come the
- 14:53Speaker 3: midterms at this moment. I mean, we'll see what happens
- 14:56Speaker 3: between now and November.
- 15:00Speaker 2: So we had heard about the independent journalist, the American
- 15:04Speaker 2: journalist Shelley Kittleston Son. Rather, she has now been released
- 15:10Speaker 2: by the pro Iran militia in Iraq. She was received
- 15:16Speaker 2: now by the Iraqi government. It's processing her travel arrangements
- 15:21Speaker 2: and doing all of those things now. But she's been
- 15:24Speaker 2: a specialist in the Middle East doing reporting for some time,
- 15:28Speaker 2: and she was taken captive by this pro Iran militia
- 15:34Speaker 2: in Iraq last month, and it looks like she's going
- 15:37Speaker 2: to be on her way home soon.
- 15:40Speaker 3: That's good news. We yes, we don't use it yet.
- 15:43Speaker 3: News like that this quickly, all right?
- 15:46Speaker 5: So San Francisco is home to some big major tech
- 15:49Speaker 5: companies like Open Ai, Anthropic, Salesforce, Uber, and because of that,
- 15:56Speaker 5: home prices are surging up eighteen percent year over year,
- 16:00Speaker 5: driven by the AI investment boom and the tech hiring
- 16:04Speaker 5: surge there. They're now at a median price of two
- 16:08Speaker 5: point one five million. And if you don't want to
- 16:10Speaker 5: full on house, you can just get a condo. That'll
- 16:13Speaker 5: just set you back one point three to six million,
- 16:15Speaker 5: which is up twenty seven percent year over year.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Yeah, that's lovely. So you want to move up to
- 16:21Speaker 3: San Francisco, you move right ahead. By the way, what
- 16:24Speaker 3: is two point one million dollars buy you in Arkansas?
- 16:28Speaker 2: Are we saw? Yeah?
- 16:29Speaker 4: Yeah? Which thirty exactly? Which third of the state is
- 16:31Speaker 4: it by you? Yes?
- 16:33Speaker 2: Well, you have all the poop and human feces you
- 16:36Speaker 2: could ever ask for in San Francisco. So you got that.
- 16:39Speaker 6: They have been working to clean that up.
- 16:41Speaker 2: No, actually it was up there about a year ago
- 16:44Speaker 2: and it was cleaner than la sadly, so you remember
- 16:48Speaker 2: when you used to quit a job when it didn't
- 16:52Speaker 2: pay you what you wanted. While a twenty nine year
- 16:54Speaker 2: old employee was arrested on suspicion of arson, Why was
- 16:58Speaker 2: he suspected because he filmed himself? He actually videoed himself
- 17:03Speaker 2: lighting the warehouse on fire. Was filled with paper products
- 17:06Speaker 2: like Kleenex, huggy stipers, which didn't do well for the blaze.
- 17:13Speaker 2: He was arrested. He was the only one missing. There
- 17:16Speaker 2: were twenty people in there and he was the only
- 17:17Speaker 2: one missing afterwards, So he lit a place on fire
- 17:20Speaker 2: in Ontario, got one hundred and seventy five firefighters out
- 17:24Speaker 2: of bed twenty engines because he didn't like So I.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Have a question someone videoing himself lighting, you know, torching
- 17:34Speaker 3: a warehouse. Was he on his way to a mensa
- 17:36Speaker 3: meeting or coming back from a mensa meeting?
- 17:39Speaker 4: Reignited this building?
- 17:41Speaker 2: What the hell is wrong with people? You're gonna burned out.
- 17:43Speaker 2: The guy's going to go to jail.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Oh for a long long time.
- 17:48Speaker 2: And now everybody else is out of work.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Now, I mean this depends on how big
- 17:54Speaker 3: a company it is, and whether they stay they continue
- 17:58Speaker 3: to pay their employees. Don't know the answer to that.
- 18:02Speaker 3: Insurance certainly kicks in, but we'll see what happens to
- 18:05Speaker 3: your employees.
- 18:05Speaker 4: You have a good point.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Are they out of work or are they going to
- 18:08Speaker 3: get paid at least partially or are they going to
- 18:11Speaker 3: be on unemployment or unemployment insurance?
- 18:14Speaker 2: Okay, moving on.
- 18:15Speaker 6: Take a seat.
- 18:17Speaker 5: Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is going to meet with the
- 18:20Speaker 5: House Oversight Committee May sixth to answer questions about his
- 18:24Speaker 5: connection to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Lutnick lived
- 18:30Speaker 5: next door to Epstein in New York City. He told
- 18:34Speaker 5: The New York Post last year that he decided back
- 18:35Speaker 5: in two thousand and five that Epstein was disgusting. But
- 18:40Speaker 5: then the files released by the Justice Department show that
- 18:43Speaker 5: Lutnick and his family visited Epstein's island in twenty twelve,
- 18:47Speaker 5: and that was four years after Epstein was convicted for
- 18:50Speaker 5: the child sex trafficking charges.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Yeah, saying that he had nothing to do with him
- 18:55Speaker 3: after two thousand and five, So cotton a law straight
- 18:57Speaker 3: out lie and instead of saying, yep I'm a liar, Yes,
- 19:01Speaker 3: I did.
- 19:02Speaker 4: I lied all he said, was.
- 19:05Speaker 3: I don't remember going to the island, but I'm sure
- 19:07Speaker 3: nothing untoward happened.
- 19:10Speaker 6: How do we not remember going to an island?
- 19:12Speaker 4: Interesting?
- 19:13Speaker 3: And by the way, I have no doubt that probably
- 19:15Speaker 3: nothing untoward did happen. I don't think I would guess
- 19:17Speaker 3: that what Nick was not part of that inner cabal.
- 19:21Speaker 3: But yeah, this thing, this, and this is comer who
- 19:24Speaker 3: is a fanatic Trump supporter. This Epstein thing has hit
- 19:29Speaker 3: both sides of the aisle. Man, No one wants to
- 19:32Speaker 3: hear this because we're talking about child predators and raping
- 19:37Speaker 3: of miners. Yeah, that draws the line across the board.
- 19:42Speaker 3: And this, Yeah, you can be a part.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Here's that vulgar of a human being. They don't care
- 19:48Speaker 2: about the politics, No, they don't.
- 19:50Speaker 3: A lot of Republicans don't care about this. This is
- 19:53Speaker 3: a line in the sand. Oh, here's fun. If you
- 19:56Speaker 3: want to buy a car, well, you remember back.
- 19:59Speaker 2: In May of twenty two, twenty three, the used car
- 20:02Speaker 2: prices were going through the roof. Now they have jumped
- 20:05Speaker 2: six point two percent, sending used car prices to their
- 20:10Speaker 2: highest level in nearly those three years. So this is
- 20:13Speaker 2: jumping up. Okay, you got March, you get people getting
- 20:16Speaker 2: tax refunds, things like that, the you know, you got
- 20:21Speaker 2: high new car prices, the rising gas costs, of course,
- 20:26Speaker 2: interest rates. Everything has brought people back to buying used
- 20:30Speaker 2: cars again. So now they're going through the roof last time,
- 20:33Speaker 2: wasn't it like the chips or something. We're having a
- 20:36Speaker 2: hard time getting.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Yeah, that was the Yeah, new car prices and that
- 20:39Speaker 3: brought up all car prices. So I'm gonna get I'm
- 20:41Speaker 3: I'm shopping for a used car. My lease is up
- 20:45Speaker 3: in August.
- 20:46Speaker 2: And I'm now the best way to do it. They
- 20:49Speaker 2: just the depreciation is immediate. Oh yeah, it's crazy, So
- 20:54Speaker 2: we'll see. You know, how much is going to cost me?
- 20:57Speaker 2: Probably a whole lot.
- 21:00Speaker 5: A something fishy with this one. Authorities in the Bahamas
- 21:05Speaker 5: are looking for a woman from Michigan whose husband says
- 21:09Speaker 5: she fell overboard Saturday night while they were out boating.
- 21:13Speaker 6: They were in an eight foot dinghy, and the.
- 21:16Speaker 5: Guy told authorities that she was on the boat with
- 21:21Speaker 5: him on Saturday night and she fell off and then
- 21:25Speaker 5: currents swept her away, and she had the boat keys
- 21:30Speaker 5: in her pocket. So the motor on the boat stopped
- 21:33Speaker 5: and he had to row back to shore took him
- 21:35Speaker 5: several hours to get there.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Good question. Why is it such a big deal about
- 21:40Speaker 2: the key around her neck?
- 21:43Speaker 4: I don't understand the significance of that.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Well, certainly everything else.
- 21:48Speaker 3: I'm sorry, yeah, I know, but I don't understand why
- 21:52Speaker 3: that's part a big part of the story. Certainly that
- 21:54Speaker 3: factually fell over, certainly what he says. Certainly the doubt.
- 21:58Speaker 3: I mean her daughter, she's he's her step stepdad. Her
- 22:03Speaker 3: daughter is convinced that there's foul play here. And there's
- 22:07Speaker 3: a lot of question about that. But there's nothing anybody's
- 22:11Speaker 3: gonna do about it. Data, what you go to trial?
- 22:13Speaker 2: What do they do? Authority is going to try him,
- 22:14Speaker 2: there's no witnesses. It's just yeah, this is what happened.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Is that reasonable doubt? Of course? But what you would do?
- 22:21Speaker 2: What I would? What would I do? Lindsey? Do not
- 22:25Speaker 2: go on a boat with him?
- 22:27Speaker 4: Oh you're talking about throw her overboard?
- 22:29Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 22:30Speaker 3: It depends on the day, you know, sometimes Italy, Yeah, it.
- 22:36Speaker 4: Just depends, you know.
- 22:38Speaker 3: And sometimes I react when her eyes roll, you know,
- 22:42Speaker 3: that's that is a big defense when killing a spouse.
- 22:45Speaker 2: But she rolled her eyes, Okay. She weighs the same
- 22:50Speaker 2: as Driftwood, Dude, that's true, that's true. All right, another hack,
- 22:55Speaker 2: this time the LA City Attorney's office. So you're compromising
- 22:59Speaker 2: seven point seven terabytes boom of sensitive LAPD records. So
- 23:08Speaker 2: you've got oftener officer personal files. You've got internal affairs documents,
- 23:16Speaker 2: sensitive discovery documents that are typically kept private like witnesses names,
- 23:21Speaker 2: medical information, unredacted, criminal complaints now available online. And city
- 23:28Speaker 2: and LAPD officials have not even publicly acknowledged the briefing.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Yes's clarified it. Yet, you know, there are two.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Sides to this one and which way to go, because
- 23:39Speaker 3: first of all, transparency. You want transparency, you want to
- 23:41Speaker 3: know complaints. Again's cops, and there's a law that protects cops.
- 23:46Speaker 3: On the other hand, you release all this stuff and
- 23:48Speaker 3: the cops get docks. You know, they're doxing police officers,
- 23:51Speaker 3: and it's a you know, where do you go.
- 23:53Speaker 4: With that one? And that's same thing with.
- 23:57Speaker 3: The ice agents you know wear masks that we're uh yeah,
- 24:02Speaker 3: I don't know which way you go on this, man,
- 24:03Speaker 3: there's two colliding forces here.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Has anyone gone after the Epstein files yet? Any hackers?
- 24:11Speaker 2: I thought someone had breached some of it. I don't know.
- 24:16Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 24:18Speaker 5: That's a whole new meaning to being left on the
- 24:20Speaker 5: cutting room floor. Sony Pictures Entertainment, you you are good
- 24:26Speaker 5: at these well, thank you?
- 24:27Speaker 4: Yeah, you welcome.
- 24:28Speaker 5: Sony Pictures Entertainment plans to lay off a few hundred employees.
- 24:32Speaker 5: This is globally. They announced the cuts yesterday afternoon. It'll
- 24:36Speaker 5: affect employees who work across Sony's film, TV and corporate divisions.
- 24:42Speaker 5: Sony says the cuts reflect a shift in bite business
- 24:45Speaker 5: strategy under the new CEO.
- 24:47Speaker 6: Yeah, they're going to.
- 24:47Speaker 5: Focus more on game shows, anime experiences, and content that
- 24:52Speaker 5: will connect with a younger audience.
- 24:54Speaker 3: But the big stories. They fired Spider Man. What, Yeah,
- 24:58Speaker 3: they just fired him. You're fired.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Did they take the suit and everything?
- 25:02Speaker 4: Oh? I think they took everything. No, they didn't. It's
- 25:05Speaker 4: the biggest franchise they have, actually, I think.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a weird one. Yeah, that is all right.
- 25:13Speaker 2: This is a crazy story. California senator is suing Sacramento.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Why Well. She says that she was targeted she a
- 25:22Speaker 2: deliberate and unlawful campaign to falsely accuse her, an arrest her,
- 25:26Speaker 2: and discreditor Why She says because she was putting out
- 25:32Speaker 2: a trying to get a bill passed that would dealt
- 25:36Speaker 2: with law enforcement. So she says, and her name is
- 25:39Speaker 2: Senator Sabrina Servantes here out of Riverside. I believe. She
- 25:44Speaker 2: says that they made it look like she was driving
- 25:47Speaker 2: under the influence, yet blood tests showed there were no
- 25:51Speaker 2: traces of drug or alcohol in her system, and says
- 25:56Speaker 2: it was, you know, basically to rocker world a little
- 26:01Speaker 2: bit because of this particular thing that she was trying
- 26:04Speaker 2: to push through. When I think we have time for
- 26:07Speaker 2: one more story.
- 26:08Speaker 5: Amy Abracadabra. The Magic Castle caught. Fire crews were able
- 26:13Speaker 5: to knock down the fire in the attic of the
- 26:16Speaker 5: iconic Magic Castle in Hollywood. It broke out yesterday about
- 26:20Speaker 5: five thirty. Took forty one minutes to put it out,
- 26:23Speaker 5: and the Magic Castle was one hundred and seventeen years old.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Yeah, it's really I've been Neil used to be a member, right, yeah,
- 26:30Speaker 3: with a number for a long time.
- 26:31Speaker 2: A Magician member.
- 26:33Speaker 6: Had a KFI party there a few years ago.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's I love the Magic Castle now it's
- 26:38Speaker 3: now it's basically a theme park where you pay to
- 26:41Speaker 3: get in and it's just it's no longer way it
- 26:43Speaker 3: used to be.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Yeah, they really.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Owners, but actually the guy who's owned property, I believe.
- 26:48Speaker 4: Yeah, and this is this had to do.
- 26:50Speaker 3: If I'm not mistaken, Neil with a magic act and
- 26:53Speaker 3: flash paper sort of it went awry.
- 26:56Speaker 4: No really, no, of course not.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Oh, I was gonna say, because flash paper, by definition,
- 27:01Speaker 2: burns at a very high rate.
- 27:03Speaker 4: Yeah, and just immediately explodes.
- 27:06Speaker 5: Yeah, Neil, you couldn't see Bill.
- 27:09Speaker 2: That was that was a magic joke. I was surprised
- 27:11Speaker 2: that he knew what flash paper was. I think I
- 27:14Speaker 2: was gobsmacked by that.
- 27:18Speaker 3: All right, coming up ceasefire with lots of moving lots
- 27:22Speaker 3: of moving pieces. Here, the administration says it won. Iran
- 27:26Speaker 3: said it won. Both have lost to both have won,
- 27:31Speaker 3: and what the hell is going on? I'll dive into
- 27:34Speaker 3: that when we come back. KFI A M six forty.
- 27:38Speaker 4: You've been listening to The Bill Handle Show.
