Transcript
- 0:21Speaker 1: It is to Gods the company presented by FanDuel and
- 0:23Speaker 1: the FanDuel sportsbook.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Is he is out sick again? Not feeling well?
- 0:28Speaker 1: Man really avoiding the Nicks? It dawned on me, is
- 0:30Speaker 1: is he avoiding softball games? What is going on here?
- 0:33Speaker 1: Is he playing sick? Is he trying to get out
- 0:35Speaker 1: of the softball games?
- 0:36Speaker 2: Taylor?
- 0:36Speaker 3: Now we had to buy for Memorial Week?
- 0:38Speaker 1: Okay, ad nan Verk is going to fill in for
- 0:41Speaker 1: is He today on the radio show Our thanks to
- 0:43Speaker 1: Mike Golick Senior for filling in yesterday. He'll be a
- 0:46Speaker 1: part of God Bless football coming up. It just a
- 0:48Speaker 1: little bit. But I want to get to Darryl Moury.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I want to get to the Knicks. I want to
- 0:53Speaker 1: get to a lot of things. We have a lot
- 0:54Speaker 1: of things to discuss. Mike Greenberg gets Taylor pumped up
- 0:57Speaker 1: for the NBA Finals. I'm concerned about Mike Breen. But
- 1:01Speaker 1: let's start here. Mike Ea because I am confused. I
- 1:03Speaker 1: get these notes from Taylor before the show. They are
- 1:06Speaker 1: topics that he wants to discuss. We have an update
- 1:09Speaker 1: on the enhanced Games. I'm looking forward to that. One
- 1:12Speaker 1: of the topics that he sent me today. One of
- 1:14Speaker 1: the things he texted me today is that he would
- 1:17Speaker 1: like Darryl Moury to be investigated. It's a weird, weird topic.
- 1:22Speaker 1: It's a weird person to want to be investigated. And
- 1:25Speaker 1: I'm just wondering, why, what did Daryl Moury do to you, Taylor.
- 1:29Speaker 3: So I'm watching the Thunder game a couple of nights ago, Yes,
- 1:33Speaker 3: and they moved Jared McCain into the starting lineup and
- 1:36Speaker 3: he set the tone for them. The Thunder were down
- 1:39Speaker 3: Jalen Williams, he had a hamstring strain. They were down
- 1:41Speaker 3: aj Mitchell, he had a calf strain. Right Jared McCain
- 1:46Speaker 3: comes in. He scores twenty points. Daryl Moury traded him
- 1:49Speaker 3: to the best team in the NBA for next to nothing.
- 1:53Speaker 3: And at the time he said the seventy six ers
- 1:55Speaker 3: we sold high on Jared McCain. That take is aging
- 1:59Speaker 3: worse and worse by the day. And I am so
- 2:02Speaker 3: upset and my red flags are going off when I
- 2:06Speaker 3: saw that trade. Yeah, because he gifted the best team
- 2:10Speaker 3: in the league a starting caliber player as they're making
- 2:15Speaker 3: a chance to repeat as champions. And I know what
- 2:18Speaker 3: people are gonna say, hey, Taylor, you sound like a
- 2:21Speaker 3: bitter Knicks fan who's a little worried about the Oklahoma
- 2:24Speaker 3: City thunder.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 3: And if I sound like that, it's because I am.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Yeah, but exactly hold on because Mikey, what do you
- 2:31Speaker 1: imagine when he says the red flags go off?
- 2:34Speaker 5: Like?
- 2:34Speaker 1: What do you imagine is happening there? To Taylor, I
- 2:38Speaker 1: don't think they went off right when they made the trade.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I think he just realized that Darryl Moorey made that
- 2:42Speaker 1: trade and it could impact the knicks chances of winning
- 2:45Speaker 1: an NBA title.
- 2:47Speaker 6: I think if the Spurs are up three to two,
- 2:49Speaker 6: I think he wants someone else investigated.
- 2:51Speaker 5: That's what I think, Taylor.
- 2:56Speaker 3: So when the seventy six ers were getting their teeth
- 2:59Speaker 3: care by the Knicks, I'm watching them and I'm going,
- 3:02Speaker 3: you know what, they could use McCain, Jared McCain. They
- 3:05Speaker 3: could use some bench scoring. Why did they unload this
- 3:09Speaker 3: kid who looked like a Rookie of the Year last
- 3:11Speaker 3: year for her first round pick and a couple of
- 3:14Speaker 3: second round picks, Like you could have got that package
- 3:17Speaker 3: for him whenever, And now that the seventy six ers
- 3:19Speaker 3: have fired Darryl Moury. I think there was something there
- 3:23Speaker 3: to it where they found out that the Oklahoma City
- 3:26Speaker 3: Thunder compromised Darryl Moury, and that's why Daryl Mory traded
- 3:29Speaker 3: Jared McCain to them.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Okay, at the time he made that trade, I am
- 3:32Speaker 1: certain Darryl Moray did not expect his team to wind
- 3:35Speaker 1: up in the Eastern Conference semi finals.
- 3:37Speaker 2: That's number one. Number two.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Hasn't Darryl Moury been fired? And yet that's not enough
- 3:42Speaker 1: for you? You still want an investigation of Darryl Moury. I
- 3:45Speaker 1: think he got fired because he made this trade.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Okay, all right, so why investigate that?
- 3:50Speaker 3: I mean because maybe he was compromised by somebody from
- 3:53Speaker 3: the Oklahoma City Thunder. Somebody in the Thunder had something
- 3:56Speaker 3: on him allegedly.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Very good use of allegedly there, yep, they had was there.
- 4:04Speaker 5: Was a pregnant pause between that.
- 4:06Speaker 1: And I think he was trying to think of the word.
- 4:08Speaker 1: He didn't know what words he used, He had no idea.
- 4:10Speaker 1: He got caught up in the air. He was making
- 4:12Speaker 1: accusations that might not be true, and so therefore he
- 4:15Speaker 1: had to say allegedly.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Allegedly they got something on him. I don't know what
- 4:20Speaker 3: they could have got on him, right, but they said, hey,
- 4:22Speaker 3: we're the Oklahoma City Thunder, where the bullies of the
- 4:25Speaker 3: NBA give us, give us one of your best young
- 4:28Speaker 3: players to make our team even stronger.
- 4:30Speaker 1: What they had on him was he was swept by
- 4:32Speaker 1: the Knicks. I mean, that's it. That's what they had
- 4:35Speaker 1: on Daryl Morey. He's been fired. So if they investigate
- 4:38Speaker 1: him and your claim is true, what would you like
- 4:41Speaker 1: them to do to Darryl Mory?
- 4:43Speaker 2: Throw them in prison?
- 4:44Speaker 3: I mean no, So Daryl Moury at that point, I
- 4:47Speaker 3: would want him banned from the NBA for life. Oh okay,
- 4:50Speaker 3: But I want the if the Thunder had any role
- 4:53Speaker 3: in this and they compromised him, right, I want the
- 4:57Speaker 3: Knicks to be gifted the title.
- 5:00Speaker 2: No you don't.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we want, Mikey.
- 5:05Speaker 2: We we want to earn it, Taylor Blood.
- 5:08Speaker 3: No, we are going to earn it. We're gonna earn
- 5:10Speaker 3: it in four or five games, I think against this
- 5:12Speaker 3: Thunder team. But Mikey, you're a Yankee fan. The Astros
- 5:16Speaker 3: had that whole cheating scandal against against the Yankees, and
- 5:20Speaker 3: if the Yankees got past the Astros. Maybe the Yankees
- 5:22Speaker 3: have another World Series title.
- 5:26Speaker 5: I wouldn't want them to be gifted anything.
- 5:29Speaker 6: I would I would have liked them to be able
- 5:31Speaker 6: to face the Dodgers. I would have liked them to
- 5:34Speaker 6: beat them. I would have liked them to beat the Astros,
- 5:37Speaker 6: whether they were cheating or not. But at the same time, like, no,
- 5:40Speaker 6: I don't want to be gifted anything that's not sports.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I would say Daryl Morey fleeced them. I mean he
- 5:47Speaker 1: got four picks. One of them is a first rounder.
- 5:49Speaker 1: I mean from the Rockets. I would yeah, he should
- 5:52Speaker 1: still have his job.
- 5:53Speaker 6: I mean, Taylor, you hear that. Daryl Moray should be
- 5:59Speaker 6: investigating every this. I think Leon Rose needs to start
- 6:02Speaker 6: getting off his ass and doing something. Sounds like sounds
- 6:05Speaker 6: like players can be had if you have the right information.
- 6:07Speaker 2: That's right, yep, little insider trading, let's go.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Leon Rose has to do something besides get this Knixt
- 6:13Speaker 3: team that was irrelevant for over two decades to the finals.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Listen, they gave up five for Jared McCain right now,
- 6:19Speaker 2: right he had the right pictures.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Yeah for a pick less, for a pick less than
- 6:23Speaker 1: you gave up from McHale.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Bridges. I mean, how about that.
- 6:26Speaker 3: I mean Mkelbridge is putting up numbers that like we've
- 6:29Speaker 3: only seen lebron and like Kawhi Leonard put up in it.
- 6:31Speaker 1: I know, but you're concerned that Jared McCain might prevent
- 6:34Speaker 1: us from winning an NBA title. And I would tell
- 6:36Speaker 1: you if Jared McCain prevents us from winning an NBA title,
- 6:40Speaker 1: we shouldn't win the NBA title.
- 6:42Speaker 3: And he's not going to prevent us from winning the title,
- 6:44Speaker 3: because you know why, we have Jalen Brunson.
- 6:47Speaker 2: So why do you want to investigated? He's nervous, he's rattled.
- 6:51Speaker 6: He is you know what, he doesn't feel bad for
- 6:54Speaker 6: him at this moment.
- 6:54Speaker 2: He doesn't like the rest.
- 6:56Speaker 1: He'd prefer rust because he doesn't like all this time off,
- 6:58Speaker 1: or he's left with his thoughts to think about how
- 7:01Speaker 1: someone's gonna screw over the next It's unbelievable.
- 7:04Speaker 3: The other thought I've been having is Isaiah Hartenstein was
- 7:08Speaker 3: a Nick favorite, a nick legend, some would say, yep.
- 7:12Speaker 3: My thought is what if the Knicks sent Isaiah Hartenstein
- 7:16Speaker 3: as a double agent to OKC to help them win
- 7:19Speaker 3: this finals and the consolation prize was he would win
- 7:22Speaker 3: a finals before the Knicks were ready to be on
- 7:25Speaker 3: their finals run.
- 7:26Speaker 2: So they sent Hartenstein in to be a spy, double agent,
- 7:30Speaker 2: double agent. It's a big difference. What's the difference?
- 7:32Speaker 3: Just sounds a way cool, it really does.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Put it on the poll. Does a double agent sound
- 7:37Speaker 1: cooler than a spy? I'm with Taylor on that one.
- 7:40Speaker 1: So you have Hartenstein going in there, he's doing he's
- 7:43Speaker 1: doing detective work.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Ali con right, He's he's a double agent.
- 7:47Speaker 1: He's supposed to prevent the Knicks, prevent Oklahoma City from
- 7:50Speaker 1: getting better. But Darryl Moury thunders in and he trades
- 7:53Speaker 1: with McCain and there's nothing Hartenstein can do about it.
- 7:56Speaker 1: And now Hartenstein is going to win a title before
- 7:58Speaker 1: the Knicks in Hertenstein's job was to prevent Oklahoma City
- 8:01Speaker 1: from winning anymore.
- 8:02Speaker 3: Yeah, but what if I have this clear?
- 8:04Speaker 4: I just want to make sure.
- 8:04Speaker 3: So Hartenstein's end of the bargain was he would win
- 8:07Speaker 3: a title with the Oklahoma City Thunder and then in
- 8:10Speaker 3: year two he would help the Knicks win a title
- 8:13Speaker 3: against the Thunder because they're on a collision course against
- 8:17Speaker 3: each other. So if you turn on Game one and
- 8:19Speaker 3: We're in Oklahoma City and Isaiah Hartenstein has some pretty
- 8:23Speaker 3: convenient turnovers that lead to some mckel bridges or Josh
- 8:27Speaker 3: hart Fast break points. Yeah, don't say I didn't warn you.
- 8:30Speaker 1: All right, so you you win the first title to
- 8:32Speaker 1: keep the scent off of you, right, that's correct. Okay,
- 8:35Speaker 1: got it right.
- 8:35Speaker 2: So now he hasn't been prime position right now. Yes,
- 8:39Speaker 2: he can fuck this series up as badly as he
- 8:41Speaker 2: wants it. No one's gonna question and why he's an
- 8:44Speaker 2: NBA champion.
- 8:47Speaker 6: So you're saying you want Daryl Moore investigated, but you
- 8:51Speaker 6: have Hartenstein being a double agent. But you don't want
- 8:55Speaker 6: bon Rose to be investigated or Hartenstein.
- 9:00Speaker 5: I'm just key. You're pigeon holing yourself.
- 9:04Speaker 2: He's all over the place.
- 9:05Speaker 1: And listen, this is why I say when people tell
- 9:07Speaker 1: us to act like we've been there before, we can't
- 9:09Speaker 1: because we've never been here before.
- 9:11Speaker 2: And so this is what we do.
- 9:12Speaker 1: And we're left to our own device is and all
- 9:14Speaker 1: we have is time to sit around and wait to
- 9:17Speaker 1: see who we're going to face the NBA Finals.
- 9:19Speaker 2: We start coming up with ridiculous theories, by the way,
- 9:22Speaker 2: theories that I love all of them. Except for Morey
- 9:25Speaker 2: being investigated. He lost his job.
- 9:27Speaker 6: I mean, stud, do you imagine this is what it
- 9:30Speaker 6: would be like for us if the Jets ever made
- 9:32Speaker 6: the Super Bowl in that one week off? Do you
- 9:35Speaker 6: imagine like this is how we would be.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I've never imagined it, but yes, yes, you haven't let
- 9:41Speaker 1: your mind go there. And by the way, if they
- 9:43Speaker 1: want to gift the Jets of Super Bowl, we'll take it.
- 9:45Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 9:46Speaker 5: Oh, that's one, I'll take. Yes, that's one if they
- 9:48Speaker 5: were to Jet.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Right because the Knicks are good enough to win. The
- 9:51Speaker 1: Jets are never going to be good enough to win,
- 9:53Speaker 1: and so we'll need a gift. The Knicks don't need
- 9:54Speaker 1: gifts here. This team is good enough to win an
- 9:56Speaker 1: NBA title right now.
- 9:58Speaker 3: If I could give you, guys any kind of ho
- 10:00Speaker 3: or any kind of inspiration about twenty nineteen, when the
- 10:03Speaker 3: Knicks were winning twenty games this season, they were getting
- 10:07Speaker 3: blown out almost every game, and I'm watching them and
- 10:09Speaker 3: I'm trying to talk myself into cle Anthony Early or
- 10:12Speaker 3: I'm trying to talk myself into you know, Lance Thomas
- 10:15Speaker 3: becoming something I was. Where you guys are at a
- 10:19Speaker 3: Jets fans thinking this could never happen. This can never happen.
- 10:22Speaker 3: With this ownership, something drastic is gonna happen. I'm gonna
- 10:25Speaker 3: have to die before I see my team playing in
- 10:27Speaker 3: the NBA Finals, right, and then look at me now
- 10:30Speaker 3: less than what seven years later? Yeap back in the
- 10:33Speaker 3: NBA Finals.
- 10:34Speaker 2: It's been a long way for you, suffering Knicks fan.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I mean, Jesus, by the way, you can't you know,
- 10:38Speaker 1: you said you have to wait until you die to
- 10:40Speaker 1: see the Knicks in the NBA Finals.
- 10:42Speaker 2: If you're dead, you're not going to see the Knicks
- 10:43Speaker 2: of the NBA Finals. What are you doing there? He's
- 10:46Speaker 2: rattled Bikey a little bit. You're nervous out of the
- 11:00Speaker 2: NBA Finals. All you want Oklahoma City, don't you? Uh no, no,
- 11:06Speaker 2: very too far, too far, Okay, I want I want
- 11:08Speaker 2: Oklahoma City. You know, here's an interesting thing.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Okay, everyone is talking about the Knicks and their easy
- 11:15Speaker 1: path to the NBA Finals. And I'm not going to
- 11:18Speaker 1: say that it's, you know, been the most difficult path
- 11:21Speaker 1: to the NBA Finals.
- 11:22Speaker 2: But why is everyone talking about that?
- 11:24Speaker 1: And no one, and I mean no one talked about
- 11:27Speaker 1: Oklahoma Cities pat to the NBA Finals and Championship just
- 11:31Speaker 1: a year ago. They beat the Grizzlies, an eight seed,
- 11:35Speaker 1: they swept them, They earned that.
- 11:36Speaker 2: They were the one seed.
- 11:38Speaker 1: The next round they played the four seed, the Nuggets,
- 11:41Speaker 1: and they wheezed to the finish and won in seven.
- 11:44Speaker 1: The next round after that, they really started getting some breaks.
- 11:48Speaker 1: They played the sixth seed Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals,
- 11:51Speaker 1: the sixth seed Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals, and
- 11:54Speaker 1: then they got the Pacers in the NBA Finals. And
- 11:58Speaker 1: I'm not certain what the Pacers were seated in the
- 12:00Speaker 1: East last year. I know it wasn't that high, but
- 12:02Speaker 1: that's a print. They were fourth in the East. That's
- 12:04Speaker 1: a pretty easy path for Oklahoma City. I am not
- 12:07Speaker 1: certain how good this Thunder team is. They haven't been
- 12:10Speaker 1: challenged yet.
- 12:11Speaker 3: And the other reason why I don't really subscribe to
- 12:13Speaker 3: the Knicks have had an easy path is because along
- 12:16Speaker 3: this path it's a bit of revisionist history. Like nobody
- 12:19Speaker 3: was saying the Sixers were easy going into the Sixers
- 12:23Speaker 3: Knicks series, and nobody was saying the Calves were gonna
- 12:26Speaker 3: be easy going into the Knicks calvs. Series. And it's
- 12:28Speaker 3: not like the Knicks are getting by one or two
- 12:32Speaker 3: point margin of victory. It's like the Knicks. Any team
- 12:35Speaker 3: you put in front of the Knicks right now. Yes,
- 12:37Speaker 3: the Knicks are blowing their doors off.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Yes, they're beating those teams the way good teams should
- 12:41Speaker 1: beat bad basketball team. That was not the case with
- 12:44Speaker 1: Oklahoma City last year. They weezed against Indiana and they
- 12:48Speaker 1: struggled against Denver. I mean, I don't know how good
- 12:51Speaker 1: Oklahoma City is. They're without Williams. I'm telling you right now,
- 12:55Speaker 1: I am feeling so good, and this is a bad
- 12:56Speaker 1: thing for Nick fans. I am feeling so confident that
- 13:00Speaker 1: this is the year that, regardless of whether it's the
- 13:02Speaker 1: Spurs or Oklahoma City, the Knicks are winning an NBA title.
- 13:06Speaker 2: They have the better team.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Stu, you surprised me that that thunder take was so
- 13:12Speaker 3: good about the thunder not being really challenged last year. Yeah,
- 13:16Speaker 3: did you watch Get Up this morning?
- 13:17Speaker 2: No? I did not. I love Greenee. I did not
- 13:20Speaker 2: watch Get Up. Why what happened?
- 13:22Speaker 3: Because that was basically exactly what Greene said, almost verbatim.
- 13:26Speaker 3: That got me fired up for the NBA Finals.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Yeah, really listen, Perhaps Greeney stole it from me. I
- 13:32Speaker 1: hadn't said it yet, but perhaps Greenedy stalls. I think
- 13:34Speaker 1: I texted it to him now that I'm thinking about it.
- 13:37Speaker 3: So this is how Greenee opened. Get up today where Greenee,
- 13:40Speaker 3: A lot of people are throwing water on this Knicks
- 13:43Speaker 3: parade right now. Greene, though, came with your straight facts.
- 13:48Speaker 7: Start spreading the news. The New York Knicks are the
- 13:52Speaker 7: junior varsity to no team ever.
- 13:55Speaker 4: They are.
- 13:56Speaker 7: In fact, I'm the kind of heater that historically only
- 13:59Speaker 7: the very greatest teams and very greatest players.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Have ever matched.
- 14:03Speaker 7: And they absolutely could win the title in the next
- 14:05Speaker 7: couple of weeks. Let me lay this out for you.
- 14:07Speaker 7: The Knicks of the fifth team ever to win eleven
- 14:09Speaker 7: straight playoff games in a single year. The others featured
- 14:12Speaker 7: in chronological order, Magic and Kareem Duncan and Robinson, Shaq
- 14:17Speaker 7: and Kobe and Stephen KD. Just digest that for a moment.
- 14:22Speaker 2: That's the entire list.
- 14:23Speaker 7: And among those, the twenty seventeen Warriors had the best
- 14:26Speaker 7: point differential. Okay, they entered the finals outscoring their opponents
- 14:29Speaker 7: by one hundred and ninety six points. These Knicks are
- 14:33Speaker 7: a plus two seventy one in the playoffs. That is
- 14:36Speaker 7: seventy five points better than a team that was so
- 14:38Speaker 7: good that people said it was ruining the sport. But
- 14:41Speaker 7: here's the thing. You know all of that already. What
- 14:43Speaker 7: you want to talk about is an easy path to
- 14:45Speaker 7: the finals. So let's talk about easy paths. I mean,
- 14:47Speaker 7: did you know that none of the last three NBA
- 14:50Speaker 7: champions ever faced a team seeded higher than fourth.
- 14:53Speaker 2: I don't think he did. Last year.
- 14:55Speaker 7: Ok See, they played the eight, the four, the six,
- 14:59Speaker 7: and the four seeds. The year before that, Boston they
- 15:01Speaker 7: played the eight, the four, the six, and the five.
- 15:04Speaker 7: Before that Denver they played the eight, the four, the seven,
- 15:08Speaker 7: and the eight. The point is, this is nothing new,
- 15:11Speaker 7: so let's.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Stop talking about it.
- 15:13Speaker 7: And then finally, there's this the enormous advantage of rest.
- 15:17Speaker 7: By the time the finals start, the Knicks will have
- 15:19Speaker 7: played four games in twenty three days. There are only
- 15:24Speaker 7: three prior teams to have that profile since the playoffs expanded.
- 15:27Speaker 7: They were the twenty seventeen Warriors, the two thousand and
- 15:29Speaker 7: one Lakers, and the ninety nine Spurs. All three of
- 15:32Speaker 7: them won the finals in five games. So whether you
- 15:36Speaker 7: love or loathe New York and its teams, just be
- 15:38Speaker 7: aware of this. The Knicks are not lucky, They're not
- 15:41Speaker 7: a fluke, they're not the JV. They are right now
- 15:44Speaker 7: playing about as well as any team ever, and in
- 15:47Speaker 7: about two weeks time, they absolutely.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Might win this whole damn thing. That's what needed to
- 15:53Speaker 2: be said.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Here's what needs to be said. That was yesterday's get
- 15:57Speaker 1: up and yeah, I heard that.
- 16:00Speaker 4: It today.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I mean, how about that, because you need to create
- 16:04Speaker 1: separation when you're using someone else's take, and I have
- 16:07Speaker 1: used Greene's often, and I'm certain that he has used
- 16:09Speaker 1: mine occasionally.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Okay, but when.
- 16:11Speaker 1: You do it, you have to there needs to be
- 16:13Speaker 1: a separation from the time he gives the take of
- 16:15Speaker 1: the time that I give the take. I would have
- 16:17Speaker 1: used it yesterday, it was too close to when Greenee
- 16:20Speaker 1: had said it. I thought people would notice I used
- 16:22Speaker 1: it today. I didn't think anyone would notice. Taylor noticed.
- 16:26Speaker 6: I was going to say it sounded like he was
- 16:27Speaker 6: reading it right off your text message.
- 16:33Speaker 3: It was smart by Stutts to wait a day to
- 16:36Speaker 3: bring those stats. And then the other smart part was
- 16:40Speaker 3: that stud didn't mention the Denver or the Boston part,
- 16:44Speaker 3: because if we were like, whoa, how did stun know
- 16:46Speaker 3: three teams paths the past three years. Yes, that would
- 16:50Speaker 3: have sent alarm flags.
- 16:51Speaker 2: So I'm glad we're here because the alarm.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Signals red flex. He couldn't remember.
- 16:56Speaker 1: He's rattled, he wants more, he investigated, He thinks Hertenstein's
- 16:59Speaker 1: a double aj. He has no idea what to do
- 17:02Speaker 1: with himself between now and the start of the New
- 17:05Speaker 1: York Knicks NBA Finals series.
- 17:07Speaker 3: I'm not sleeping and I'm not eating right now. If
- 17:10Speaker 3: you walked into my room, it looks like that scene
- 17:13Speaker 3: from It's Always Sonny in Philadelphia where there's just a
- 17:16Speaker 3: bulletin board and then just a bunch of lines pointing
- 17:19Speaker 3: to a bunch of other places, and it kind of
- 17:20Speaker 3: all ba Pepe Sylvia, Pepe Sylvia, Pepe Sylvia, and it
- 17:24Speaker 3: all just comes back to me circling Jalen Brunson holding
- 17:27Speaker 3: an NBA trophy in the middle of it.
- 17:29Speaker 1: So like a detective board with strings and tacks, and
- 17:32Speaker 1: you're trying to put everything together, and you have Heartenstein
- 17:34Speaker 1: as a double agent sent to Oklahoma City, and Morey's
- 17:37Speaker 1: being investigated somewhere.
- 17:38Speaker 2: That's what it looks like. Yep, You're fucking crazy, dude.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Just a joy. It we're in the NBA finals. Let
- 17:43Speaker 2: it happen. What are you doing? Why are you trying
- 17:45Speaker 2: to figure anything out?
- 17:46Speaker 1: And by the way, since we're here, still got school
- 17:49Speaker 1: of broadcasting lesson here. When you steal a take, you
- 17:52Speaker 1: can't take all of it, all right, You got to
- 17:54Speaker 1: leave the parts out where people would say, like Taylor
- 17:57Speaker 1: and Mikey, who know you very well, STI gods never
- 18:00Speaker 1: go that deep on the take. You wouldn't look that
- 18:02Speaker 1: stuff up. And that's why you leave certain things out
- 18:07Speaker 1: smart masterclass, because anyone could come up with a seed thing.
- 18:12Speaker 1: I mean, especially when I texted to him.
- 18:14Speaker 2: How about that?
- 18:16Speaker 3: Oh so that's just Hembo doing great research.
- 18:19Speaker 5: Right, Oh yeah, yeah, of course, yes, yes, you need
- 18:22Speaker 5: a Hembo.
- 18:23Speaker 2: I do need a Hembo.
- 18:25Speaker 3: I'm Hembo.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Get Embo on the show. That guy is attached to Greedy.
- 18:35Speaker 2: He's not going anywhere, right, And why.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Would he Green keeps writing books with them? I mean,
- 18:38Speaker 1: it's unbelievable, it's amazing, all right. So do we have
- 18:43Speaker 1: Hartenstein as a double agent Mikey with Taylor on this?
- 18:47Speaker 6: No, Taylor have that one by himself.
- 18:54Speaker 2: So Daryl Morey, who was just fired for trading.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Jared McCain is also now one to investigation and may
- 19:01Speaker 1: allegedly and maybe thrown into prison.
- 19:05Speaker 2: This is so good. I am concerned about Mike Breen Taylor.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Last year, we're at Lake Tahoe and we're going again
- 19:10Speaker 2: soon and I can't wait. It's the best week of
- 19:12Speaker 2: the year.
- 19:13Speaker 1: But we were there, Joe Buck was telling us how
- 19:16Speaker 1: when you get to the playoffs, deep into the playoffs,
- 19:18Speaker 1: to the World Series, to the super Bowl, he doesn't
- 19:22Speaker 1: This was so interesting coming from Joe Buck that he
- 19:25Speaker 1: doesn't like that viewers, that fans are stripped.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Of the local calls of their teams.
- 19:31Speaker 1: And it was such a fascinating thing considering the one
- 19:34Speaker 1: who benefits the most from them not carrying the local
- 19:38Speaker 1: broadcast is Joe Buck because they're all watching him. We
- 19:41Speaker 1: have to watch him, and he's great. He's a Hall
- 19:43Speaker 1: of Famer, he's one of the best. I have concerns
- 19:46Speaker 1: here about Mike Breen.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Mike Bree.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Listen, you get into this industry because you're a sports fan,
- 19:53Speaker 1: and in Mike Breen's case, he was growing up and
- 19:55Speaker 1: he's a Knicks fan and he.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Has always wanted to be the voice the new York Knicks.
- 20:01Speaker 2: He's also the voice of the NBA because he's so
- 20:04Speaker 2: fucking good at doing play by play. And so now
- 20:08Speaker 2: you have the Knicks guy calling the Knicks in the
- 20:11Speaker 2: NBA Finals, and I do not want him to remain neutral.
- 20:14Speaker 1: I want him to act like a Knick fan. I
- 20:16Speaker 1: want him to sound like a Knick fan. I want
- 20:19Speaker 1: him to deliver on that because he's a Knicks fan,
- 20:22Speaker 1: and I hope it comes out of him. But I
- 20:24Speaker 1: am telling you I'm concerned about him because regardless of
- 20:26Speaker 1: how it goes, regardless of how neutral he remains, and
- 20:30Speaker 1: he's a pro, and my guess is he'll remain neutral.
- 20:33Speaker 1: He is gonna get criticized by a good percentage of
- 20:38Speaker 1: the audience here just because they're gonna think that his coverage,
- 20:41Speaker 1: his calls are slanted towards the Knicks.
- 20:43Speaker 3: What do you think, Taylor, Mike Breen doesn't really strike
- 20:45Speaker 3: me as somebody who's gonna be online and reading all
- 20:48Speaker 3: the criticism of him if he's calling a game and
- 20:52Speaker 3: people think he's calling it in favor of the Knicks,
- 20:54Speaker 3: and at the end, the Knicks fans are still gonna
- 20:57Speaker 3: love Mike Breen. Mike Breen's our guy. Yep, I think
- 21:00Speaker 3: that's really all that would matter if I was in
- 21:04Speaker 3: Mike Breen's situation. But again, I'm not in Mike breen
- 21:07Speaker 3: situation because Mike Breen is this great impartial broadcaster stue.
- 21:11Speaker 3: I would double down. I'd kick out Richard Jefferson's bald
- 21:14Speaker 3: as head and replace him with Clyde Fraser.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Really okay, because he won't come off as a homer then,
- 21:19Speaker 1: so you're telling him the fire Richard Jefferson, Replace him
- 21:22Speaker 1: with walk Clyde Fraser, and just reunite the guys who
- 21:26Speaker 1: call every Knicks game except for the NBA Finals where
- 21:29Speaker 1: they kick Fraser out.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Fraser deserves more respect.
- 21:32Speaker 1: I'm not saying Jefferson should be kicked out, but Fraser
- 21:35Speaker 1: should be part of the broadcast team.
- 21:36Speaker 2: How about that.
- 21:37Speaker 3: I wasn't kicking I wasn't kicking out legs. Yeah, so
- 21:41Speaker 3: the natural place was for me to just kick out
- 21:43Speaker 3: Richard Jefferson. And yeah, if Richard Jefferson was a Nick,
- 21:46Speaker 3: if Richard Jefferson was channing Fry, we could have kept
- 21:48Speaker 3: him there. But Richard Jefferson, your best days were on
- 21:52Speaker 3: the nets.
- 21:52Speaker 2: So there's a leg there's a Cyanura.
- 21:55Speaker 1: There's a legs kicking out joke there that no one's
- 21:57Speaker 1: gonna make because I can't think of it right now.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Esga do the kicking out.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Of the las, Mikey, there's a joke there that no
- 22:04Speaker 1: one thought of, right.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, And we can't kick out legs.
- 22:10Speaker 1: We love legs and we want them on the show,
- 22:11Speaker 1: and we'll have them on the show during the NBA finals.
- 22:13Speaker 1: We never get Richard Jefferson. I'm okay with that sacrifice,
- 22:21Speaker 1: but we never get walk Clive Fraser. But Mikey, do
- 22:24Speaker 1: you want Breen to call it? As a Nick fan?
- 22:26Speaker 1: He's going to remain neutral, he's professional. But if it's
- 22:29Speaker 1: slightly slanted towards the New York Knicks and you hear
- 22:32Speaker 1: the excitement in his voice, are you gonna blame him?
- 22:35Speaker 5: My feeling is, if he is.
- 22:39Speaker 6: Fifty to fifty, it's going to be called slanted towards
- 22:42Speaker 6: the Knicks. If he is sixty forty leaning towards whatever
- 22:47Speaker 6: Western conference, he's gonna be accused of leaning towards the Knicks. Right,
- 22:51Speaker 6: So if no matter what you do, you're gonna be
- 22:53Speaker 6: accused of leaning towards the Knicks.
- 22:55Speaker 5: Just lean towards the Knicks and.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Earn the criticism, or lean into it totally I'm with you,
- 23:02Speaker 2: or lean entirely the opposite way and show up to
- 23:06Speaker 2: Game one with an SGA jersey on. How about that? Uh?
- 23:11Speaker 3: I think anybody who's criticizing Breen and criticizing him for
- 23:16Speaker 3: games that he's about to call instead of games that
- 23:18Speaker 3: he's already called. Like that game where Sam Merrill almost
- 23:21Speaker 3: hit the three. We heard he was he was preloading
- 23:25Speaker 3: that bang. He was gonna he was gonna bang Knicks fans.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Yes, phrasing.
- 23:35Speaker 4: Bang them all?
- 23:36Speaker 2: Can you say that again?
- 23:37Speaker 1: Please, just so I can figure out the right pole
- 23:39Speaker 1: question for this go ahead.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Mike Breen was about to bang Knicks fans?
- 23:43Speaker 1: Put it on the pole tailor was Mike Breen about
- 23:45Speaker 1: to bang Nick fans?
- 23:51Speaker 2: Mike? I need this series to start or executive producer
- 23:57Speaker 2: is losing his fucking marbles. He's got double agents and
- 24:01Speaker 2: he wants people under investigation, and he is banging all
- 24:05Speaker 2: the Nick fans.
- 24:09Speaker 4: What is happening?
- 24:11Speaker 2: Oh, the Knicks are in the finals and we're supposed
- 24:13Speaker 2: to act like we've been there before, but we don't
- 24:14Speaker 2: know how.
- 24:17Speaker 4: I haven't.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Taylor the other thing you were telling telling me about,
- 24:25Speaker 1: tailoring me about telling me about was this sound from
- 24:28Speaker 1: Javon Kinlaw. I have no idea who Javon Kinlaw is.
- 24:32Speaker 1: I have no idea why this sound is interesting to you.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Mikey's gonna get mad at me for not knowing who
- 24:36Speaker 1: kin Law is. I'm guessing he's from He was a Jet. Yeah,
- 24:39Speaker 1: well I don't care. I mean, seriously, he's a jet.
- 24:41Speaker 1: He's just another Jet who did nothing for me. Okay, yes, right, well,
- 24:45Speaker 1: thank you. So I try to put him out of
- 24:48Speaker 1: my memory. The second they leave, I wish them luck.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Usually they have great luck once they leave, and so
- 24:54Speaker 1: I wish Kinlaw luck.
- 24:55Speaker 2: What is this sound? Taylor set it up for us.
- 24:57Speaker 3: So, Javon Kinlaw is a former first round pick. He
- 25:01Speaker 3: was with the Jets in twenty twenty four. He is
- 25:03Speaker 3: now on the Washington Commander's defensive tackle. He's just asked
- 25:08Speaker 3: that Ota is about this upcoming season and some of
- 25:11Speaker 3: the guys that the Commanders have along there along their
- 25:16Speaker 3: front seven, and he cannot stop cursing.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Okay, what do you think about the new pieces they
- 25:22Speaker 2: added the defensively, you know on the D line.
- 25:25Speaker 4: Yeah, we got guys.
- 25:27Speaker 8: Yeah they Yeah, we got some motherfuckers. Now excuse me
- 25:30Speaker 8: my lang, but yeah, shit, oh the way he can go? Sure,
- 25:34Speaker 8: Charles Mine, who can go?
- 25:35Speaker 5: Shit?
- 25:35Speaker 8: Kay, Levon can go, shre, Tim Settle, he can go shit?
- 25:39Speaker 8: Who else am I missing?
- 25:39Speaker 4: Then?
- 25:39Speaker 8: We got shit? These wives back shit. You already know
- 25:42Speaker 8: he can go. Shit, we got da coming back. He
- 25:44Speaker 8: can go shit, jerse On can go. I mean shit,

- 25:49Speaker 4: Bro.
- 25:50Speaker 8: It's gonna be super exciting to play with these guys
- 25:52Speaker 8: on for sure, a lot of talent.
- 25:55Speaker 4: Bro. I'm just excited. Bro, I'm super excited.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Did he replace commas with the word ship.
- 26:03Speaker 3: After apologizing for cursing.
- 26:07Speaker 2: The two guys is strong than him?
- 26:11Speaker 5: Thank god he didn't say son. We would have had
- 26:14Speaker 5: to be bleep the whole thing.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Yes. Also, I want him back as.
- 26:16Speaker 4: A jet ship.
- 26:21Speaker 3: So we have that version, and then we also have
- 26:23Speaker 3: the edited version where if we were to play it
- 26:26Speaker 3: back for radio. Yeah, listen to the edited version, just
- 26:30Speaker 3: just how ridiculous it sounds.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Okay, what do you.
- 26:32Speaker 5: Think about the new pieces they added?
- 26:34Speaker 2: The de texically you know on the D line.
- 26:36Speaker 4: Yeah, we got yeah, yeah, we got some muffs.
- 26:40Speaker 8: Now, excuse my language, but yeah, all the way he
- 26:44Speaker 8: can go, Charles, Minnie, who can go? Kay Levon can go?
- 26:48Speaker 8: Tim Settle, he can go? Who else am I missing?
- 26:51Speaker 8: Then we got the wives back there? You already know
- 26:53Speaker 8: he can go. Dude, we got d A coming back.
- 26:55Speaker 8: He can go. Jerse On can go, I mean d
- 26:59Speaker 8: Paying can go. You know it's gonna be exciting, bro.
- 27:01Speaker 8: It's gonna be super exciting to play with these guys
- 27:04Speaker 8: for sure, a lot of talent. Broh, I'm just excited. Bro,
- 27:08Speaker 8: I'm super excited.
- 27:09Speaker 1: I would give up three first round picks to get
- 27:11Speaker 1: him back. Can we play that one more time? I
- 27:12Speaker 1: want to count the beeps after he says, I apologize
- 27:15Speaker 1: for cursing.
- 27:17Speaker 8: Yeah they Yeah, we got some muffs now, excuse my language,
- 27:21Speaker 8: but yeah, all the way he can go. Charles and
- 27:25Speaker 8: Minna you can go, Kay Levon can go, Tim Settle,
- 27:28Speaker 8: he can go? Who else am I missing? Then we
- 27:30Speaker 8: got these wives back there? You already know he can go. There,
- 27:33Speaker 8: we got da coming back. He can go, jerse On
- 27:37Speaker 8: can go, I mean deep Paying can go. You know's
- 27:39Speaker 8: it's gonna be exciting, bro, It's gonna be super exciting
- 27:42Speaker 8: to play with these guys for sure.
- 27:45Speaker 4: A lot of talent. Broh. I'm just excited. Bro I'm
- 27:47Speaker 4: super excited.
- 27:49Speaker 2: I counted ten ten ten H. Taylor put it on
- 27:52Speaker 2: the poll.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Can you apologize for using bad language and then curse
- 27:56Speaker 1: ten times right after you apologize
