  [SPEAKER_00]: Right now, talking more about free agency, as we all know free agency is about a month away.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Legal tampering period kicks off on March 9th, so you're going to be able to start here in about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: movement, a lot of movement on a lot of fronts.

  [SPEAKER_00]: One position in for agency, we haven't talked about on this channel.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I just haven't seen a lot of people talking about for the Jaguars in general is the tight end position that I want to take a look at today.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The big reason most people aren't talking about is because the Jaguars have Britain's strange.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Britain's strength is going to be their focal point at tight end for years to come.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He is headed into his fourth year in the NFL crazy to think he's already headed into year four.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would imagine the Jaguars will lock him up before the season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that they'll probably look to at the very least, lock him up, pick up Anton Harrison's 50er option.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And probably sign Parker Washington too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think they can get these guys at potential values relative to how good they are.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, maybe Parker Washington says I'm gonna bet on myself.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Britain's Strange is in a position at tight end, where it's like, you know, it probably makes sense to just take a good deal if you can get one just because tight end doesn't make nearly as much money if they make him a good offer.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he keep him, but beyond Britain's Strange is where I'm talking about.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I've been talking about this position a lot when it comes to the draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Potentially adding a tie-in that can be your tie-in to that can make you an extremely dangerous 12-person L team and in my opinion This is a player that must block and so there's a lot of tie-in's that folks have kind of talked about the Jag Course potentially going after in the draft That I don't know that they necessarily make sense because I don't see them being able to make an impact as a blocker I think the guy needs to be balanced

  [SPEAKER_00]: He needs to be able to make an impact, a positive impact, more of a positive impact in the passing game than a Johnny Month or a Hunter Long or a Quentin Morris, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: But also be able to block and look at, I think that there's a lot of moments I can remember where Johnny Month just did not do the job enough, and to me, I'm looking at his contract and Murray's wanting to hang out with us here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of moments where Johnny Munt just didn't get the job done and to me, when you look at his contract, he's a player that the Jaguars could potentially move on from save full up Johnny Munt's contract, very just very much in the way right now, not moving, she doesn't care.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to deal with the Jaguars last off season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars could save $2.735 million in salary cap space in 2026.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They decide to cut Johnny what is up there in age who, in my opinion, underperformed a little bit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And there's some tight ends out there in the free agent market that if you just want to take that $2.75 million that you save from moving on from Johnny Month and bring in a veteran versus bringing in a

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying it's a likelihood necessarily, but I do think it's a possibility.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I do think there's some players that make a ton of sense at the Titan position for the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You talk about Travis Kelsey, he's up there in age.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think if he's playing anywhere in 2026, it's going to be in Kansas City.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So to me, that's not even a conversation that needs to be had.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a guy that might command a higher market value than what the Jaguar should be looking to pay in my opinion.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's projected almost $10 million per year by spot rack.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that that number is just way too high for the Jaguar as personally.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You talk about a couple other guys that are projected to be up there, Kyle pits.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I guess some people, they're projecting Chico clanko to be $8 million a year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Those are both just guys that are glorified receivers.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they'll give effort, but they're not making a big impact in the running game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think they'll actually get as much as Sparta.

  [SPEAKER_00]: the guys that I do think actually make a fair amount of sense will start with the elder statesmen that we're going to look at here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, if he ends up leaving Philly, they're projecting him to make $6 million per year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's dealt with fair amount of injuries.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Cut Johnny Month, and you save the 2.75, the way the Jaguars constructs your contracts, thanks to shotguns, willingness, and ability to write huge signing bonuses, and then be able to operate those over the length of a contract.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Let's say you signed Dallas, God, got it to a two-year deal.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're talking about a year one capet that's probably about three million or less, and that can actually be just again like a one-to-one replacement

  [SPEAKER_00]: And Dallas got it would be a huge upgrade.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that he could be a he can still be a high impact player, especially in an offense as well designed as Liam Collins and pairing up with a Britain strange.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Higby, if I can not believe it's 33 years old, looking at some of these tight ends and looking at their age as I'm like, how on earth are these guys this old, how long has been playing in the NFL this long?

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Tyler Higby has been coached by Liam Cohen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was brought in with the Rams, you know.

  [SPEAKER_00]: When James Lazzstone was a super young guy in terms of his experience and the league, I believe James Lazzstone was there in 2016.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Let's go back and look at James Lazzstone.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But either way,

  [SPEAKER_00]: I just think that that makes a lot of sense as a guy who, yeah, 2016 was his first year with the Rams in 2016 is the first year that, or excuse me, the year that the Rams drafted Tyler Higby, so he's been a part of his career every year until 2025 when Gladstone came over with the Rams.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think Higby brings obviously a skill set as a blocker, but also somebody who can be a more effective receiver,

  [SPEAKER_00]: way more effective than the guy's the jackwares currently have on their roster outside of Britain strange.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that could be a really good pairing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's experience there together.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he's projected to get 5 million per year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Again, that's in that range where it could be like just a direct replacement of

  [SPEAKER_00]: the salary cap allocation for Johnny Month this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's some other guys certainly out there that I think could make sense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And Adam Troutman, Foster Moro, but the last player that I'm really intrigued by,

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's Kate Otten, who, another one where there's a connective tissue here, Kate Otten, had a damn good year under Liam Cohen and 2024 when Liam Cohen was at Tampa as their offensive coordinator.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And Otten is another one where I think there's a legitimate blocking skill set there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's somebody you can move around the formation.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a younger guy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he pairs really well with Britain's strange.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, he has a lot more receiving chops than a Johnny Mont Hunter long, Quentin Morris.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So those are the three guys that I'm really, really intrigued by in free agency.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Higby, K-Dawton, Dallas, Goddard.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But there's others that could potentially make sense to me, hate, I'm not trying to,

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, throw a Johnny munt under the bus and back over, but like, there's a lot of guys in free agency that could be upgrades over what the jackwares have as at tied into right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Strongly believe that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So definitely a position.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'll be keeping an eye on and seeing kind of how how much do these guys end up making on the open market.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe the jackwares do bring one of them in.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it could be a really good move because I still think the jackwares are a team that's

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think they're 12 and 13 personnel, personnel.

  [SPEAKER_00]: is lacking beyond Britain's stranger.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Really do, I like Quentin Moore's a lot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'd like to see them bring him back as a glue piece to the roster bottom of the depth chart tied in, good special teams player, all that stuff.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I would also like to see them really try to upgrade the number two tied in spot to get a guy that can block NBA more impactful receiver and just create mismatches for opposing defences.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's a route they really need to go down, whether that's we have free agency or the draft.
