- 1:05Speaker 3: know he'll do sometimes he'll run down to the gym
- 1:07Speaker 3: downstairs and he'll do like a quick sprint on the treadmill.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I thought he didn't do that, and it comes back,
- 1:15Speaker 1: but he comes back. He's got a towel around his neck,
- 1:17Speaker 1: and he always heads toward that freight elevator. He goes
- 1:20Speaker 1: up and down that elevator multiple multiples. I don't know
- 1:23Speaker 1: where he's going. Maybe he's got bodies hidden somewhere and
- 1:25Speaker 1: where the other floors go.
- 1:26Speaker 4: I thought he was going to the kitchen downstairs.
- 1:28Speaker 3: It could be that looks more plausible than Jim. Yeah,
- 1:34Speaker 3: Sammy's here. We got Morgan von our video producer.
- 1:38Speaker 1: He's here.

- 1:49Speaker 3: two to nine eight seven of course all the trending
- 1:51Speaker 3: news headlines. Sea Bass will join us at some point
- 1:55Speaker 3: for this week in audio. Sweet and I'm sure he's
- 1:58Speaker 3: gonna want to be here to laugh at Menace and
- 1:59Speaker 3: I as we play around of will Woody and Menace
- 2:02Speaker 3: know It and the theme the topic of books.
- 2:05Speaker 5: Yeah, you're going to do great well any of us.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Know wonder you will know this is where you thrive,
- 2:14Speaker 1: like the more academic stuff or whatever.
- 2:17Speaker 5: These are not like gotcha questions universal.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Yeah, you're still refined. Great memory is. So what is
- 2:23Speaker 1: it like? You're just gonna tell us, like, hey, the story.
- 2:27Speaker 5: There's yeah, there's a cat who loves a certain type
- 2:29Speaker 5: of breakfast food. That's great, no kidding, no, but I
- 2:32Speaker 5: will give you the plot so that one I got
- 2:35Speaker 5: and it will be multiple choice.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Okay, so I believe how about you know what you
- 2:41Speaker 1: should do?
- 2:41Speaker 3: You should start with U where you just tell us
- 2:44Speaker 3: the plot and see if you can see if we
- 2:46Speaker 3: can get it, and then go to a multiple point
- 2:48Speaker 3: you can.
- 2:50Speaker 6: Now, I've shared your story a thousand times, but I've
- 2:53Speaker 6: been to Danielle Steel's house, but I don't know.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I don't even I can't name one book she did
- 2:59Speaker 1: you poop it her house? Dude?
- 3:00Speaker 3: It was straight up that kind of funny to say,
- 3:03Speaker 3: like I pooped at Danielle steel house.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Yeah, that's funny. I didn't poop though. Okay, was she there?
- 3:10Speaker 1: She was there, but I didn't talked to her.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Oh yeah, we're gonna have, of course mentioned the headline
- 3:15Speaker 3: Birthday's porn of birthday entertainment stuff and get into all
- 3:18Speaker 3: that this morning here on the Woody Show, you know what,
- 3:22Speaker 3: before we go to the entertainment everything else, there was
- 3:25Speaker 3: all this talk about like Lebron was going to make
- 3:27Speaker 3: an announcement and then I never followed up on it.
- 3:30Speaker 3: And yes, this is something I could google, but I'm
- 3:32Speaker 3: thinking about it right now. Exactly did we ever get.
- 3:34Speaker 5: Yes, we did. It was for Hennessy.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Oh so you called it. It was so bad. You
- 3:40Speaker 1: said it was going to be like a marketing kind
- 3:42Speaker 1: of ID.
- 3:44Speaker 5: Said, it's one to be like so keeping the white
- 3:47Speaker 5: two k Venu had to talk about.
- 3:48Speaker 6: The major feedback was like, why dude, why would you
- 3:52Speaker 6: do this? Like, why would you do this to fans?
- 3:55Speaker 6: And you know, you gassed up all these people. They
- 3:58Speaker 6: bought tickets way over priced thinking it was gonna be
- 4:01Speaker 6: your last game and it's not like you need the
- 4:05Speaker 6: money again, I mean getting money.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Did he get a cut of that? I'm sure yeah, yeah,
- 4:13Speaker 1: ticket price money, No, no, no.
- 4:14Speaker 2: The.
- 4:16Speaker 5: Dies he get a cut of the door at the arena, right.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Benefit him other than you know just yeah, but it
- 4:23Speaker 1: hurts your credibility.
- 4:25Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, it does your integrity. And I thought that
- 4:28Speaker 7: this guy I heard this one commentator. I thought, is
- 4:30Speaker 7: he being overly dramatic? And then I thought, no, I
- 4:32Speaker 7: agree with him. He's gonna make the fans feel manipulated
- 4:36Speaker 7: and in a place where he's already not like totally
- 4:38Speaker 7: beloved like Magic was like Shaq was Jordan. Yeah, and
- 4:42Speaker 7: so you're manipulating people and then you're like wolf.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Also, I'll tack this cherry on the Sunday. I never
- 4:50Speaker 5: thought about this before I had a kid in the house.
- 4:52Speaker 5: So you guys are gonna be like whatever, And I
- 4:54Speaker 5: get that, But for my kid, who's obsessed, lives and
- 4:57Speaker 5: breathes Lebron James, he's like, what's henna?
- 5:00Speaker 2: See?
- 5:02Speaker 5: You know it's just so stupid, Like I should shouldn't
- 5:04Speaker 5: have to be like why is he doing this? You
- 5:06Speaker 5: know kids love him?
- 5:08Speaker 1: What like your your husband's never had a beard yet
- 5:11Speaker 1: to explain the beard to him? Trust? What's daddy drinks?
- 5:15Speaker 8: Like?
- 5:15Speaker 5: He wants to do whatever Lebron's doing something adults can
- 5:18Speaker 5: do that, I don't think. Yeah, it just felt disappointed. Look,
- 5:24Speaker 5: it's not like he doesn't know what drinking is. I'm
- 5:27Speaker 5: saying his idol. He wants to do whatever is idolating.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like you said, Jordan was is a degenerate gambler,
- 5:35Speaker 1: So trust me, our house.
- 5:36Speaker 5: Is full of degenerate gamblers.
- 5:38Speaker 1: But yeah, I just it was just so lame.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:41Speaker 9: I feel like this was like in a Christmas story
- 5:43Speaker 9: when he's all pumped for his little orphan anything that
- 5:45Speaker 9: he's like, be.
- 5:46Speaker 5: Sure to drink your.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Commercial. Almost time to watch that movie?
- 5:55Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I just I don't follow basketball, Okay,
- 6:00Speaker 3: I I I will pay enough attention, Like when we
- 6:04Speaker 3: get into the playoffs to know who's in it. Yeah,
- 6:07Speaker 3: but I'm not sitting around watching games. I don't even
- 6:09Speaker 3: really enjoy going to games. But Lebron James to me
- 6:13Speaker 3: is the biggest baby and so.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Overrated, like the fact that he's like the numbers will
- 6:22Speaker 1: show that he's not overrated.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Okay, but like I've I've seen I've seen arguments online
- 6:27Speaker 3: as to why he has the stats that he has
- 6:29Speaker 3: and if you if you hang around long enough that yes,
- 6:31Speaker 3: you're you're gonna put up some pretty decent number. Yeah,
- 6:33Speaker 3: if you're even halfways, which he is. I'm not saying
- 6:35Speaker 3: he's a bad player, of course, but like I I
- 6:37Speaker 3: understand the arguments about why he's overrated, and also like
- 6:41Speaker 3: the whole thing about like you wouldn't be, uh, you
- 6:44Speaker 3: shouldn't even be in the same conversation with a Jordan
- 6:48Speaker 3: or some of these other people because you're such are.
- 6:51Speaker 1: You cry and you drop to the ground, You're like
- 6:54Speaker 1: like crying for calls and stuff like that is Michael Jordan's.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Like you can hear all these stories about.
- 6:58Speaker 3: How competitive Michael Jordan was and different things he would
- 7:01Speaker 3: just put up. Yeah he would he wouldn't say there
- 7:03Speaker 3: like cry like a little bitch. And and he just
- 7:06Speaker 3: seems like a jerk. That's the other thing too, he
- 7:08Speaker 3: just seems like a total self like I don't know,
- 7:11Speaker 3: like just a self serving, just a conceited jerk.
- 7:14Speaker 1: And then this whole announcement thing was I anipulated.
- 7:18Speaker 3: That one thing, like, you know, his big announcement, his
- 7:21Speaker 3: decision like that, remember the decision my talents to South
- 7:25Speaker 3: Beach South After that, he thinks that, like, you know, everybody,
- 7:29Speaker 3: I mean, I guess they are.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Everybody was, look, we're talking about it now. Yeah, but
- 7:31Speaker 1: now now when he actually legit, is gonna do it
- 7:35Speaker 1: like he just tainted it stupid Yeah, and kid knows
- 7:39Speaker 1: what hennessy, Oh my god, you guys don't. I'm a parent.
- 7:44Speaker 1: I don't get it. Well.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Back in the day, remember Charles Barkley, he had a
- 7:47Speaker 3: whole thing, his whole marketing campaign for Reebok or whoever
- 7:51Speaker 3: he was with at the time, is I'm not a
- 7:53Speaker 3: role model. I was like, yeah, He's like, I'm not
- 7:57Speaker 3: interested to being a role model for your kids. I'm
- 7:59Speaker 3: interested in being a champion. I'm interested in being a
- 8:01Speaker 3: good player.
- 8:02Speaker 1: And stick with that. But just go back and forth,
- 8:04Speaker 1: like stop putting your parenting stuff on me just because
- 8:06Speaker 1: I'm a basketball.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Player, like that, you'll accept the money as a role model.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Yes, no, no, no, no, no, He's not going back
- 8:16Speaker 1: and forth that Lebron is.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm saying, like, you're a grown person. It's something
- 8:20Speaker 3: that's legal, and I agree he's got a partnership with it.
- 8:23Speaker 5: Like I hate when they put that on young women,
- 8:25Speaker 5: like young actresses, like, but you're a robot.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Screw you.
- 8:28Speaker 5: I'm trying to work.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Sorry, you have to explain what Hennessy is to your
- 8:30Speaker 3: step son, Gina. And then also Michael Jordan, that must
- 8:33Speaker 3: be a really tough conversation.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Where do you start? Yeahs like a mediator alcohol. Do
- 8:40Speaker 1: you take him out for ice cream afterwords and so
- 8:41Speaker 1: he has some time to you know, you put him
- 8:43Speaker 1: in the crying room.
- 8:44Speaker 6: Michael Jordan is also quoted as saying them kids, Yeah,
- 8:49Speaker 6: that's honest.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Show a welcome back everybody. Yeah, it's a pre Friday.
- 8:59Speaker 3: It's Thursday morning. It's October the ninth, twenty twenty five.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Today is International Beer and Pete Today. Now say beer
- 9:08Speaker 3: and Cheese Day.
- 9:09Speaker 1: It's also good.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Today is moldy cheese Day. Allay I like blue cheese,
- 9:15Speaker 3: International beer, and pete today. I love it National Moldy
- 9:19Speaker 3: Cheese Day. Yeah, I'm not all cheeses mold right Yeah yeah, technically,
- 9:23Speaker 3: well sometimes cheese.
- 9:25Speaker 10: I do like it.
- 9:26Speaker 5: It's grown on me me too as an adults. I
- 9:29Speaker 5: like it a kid, I've done.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Disgusting as a pushing fifty year old man. I really no, no,
- 9:34Speaker 1: blue cheese. Some of the best cheese I just had recently.
- 9:38Speaker 6: If you are traveling to Maui, they have this goat farming. Yeah,
- 9:44Speaker 6: it's called the Surfing Goat Farm or something like that. Okay,
- 9:47Speaker 6: some of the best cheese I've ever had in my life.
- 9:49Speaker 1: So used to never leave her house. Now jets, it's
- 9:53Speaker 1: one boyfriend. Now she's everywhere I've been.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Waiting to go to.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I'm at the baseball game. I can't able. Yeah, it's
- 10:05Speaker 1: a National Depression Screening Day.
- 10:08Speaker 5: Okay, get screened?
- 10:09Speaker 3: Yeah, which, by the way, those I feel like every
- 10:12Speaker 3: time I go to just like a regular physical or whatever,
- 10:14Speaker 3: they give you one of those like questionnaires to fill out,
- 10:17Speaker 3: like who answers that honestly, Like if you're like on
- 10:20Speaker 3: the on the verge of suicide, like are you going?
- 10:22Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 10:22Speaker 3: Really I'm thinking about myself off a bridge like that's
- 10:27Speaker 3: the screening. I mean, I guess it's the best you
- 10:29Speaker 3: could do. They can't hook it like they do with
- 10:30Speaker 3: a car, like an analytics thing, right.
- 10:33Speaker 5: I guess it's just for their own liability at this point.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I mean, I it makes sense that if if you're
- 10:38Speaker 1: having you know, thoughts, or you're in a funky space
- 10:40Speaker 1: or whatever, to you know, go get checked out. It's
- 10:43Speaker 1: Leif ericson day. I know the name. I don't know what.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Viking Exploring, Garrett Lee Ferrickson.
- 10:53Speaker 5: There's a big statue to Leif Erickson in Iceland.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Anything like the Vikings mascot or something Minnesota, like Norse Explorer.
- 11:01Speaker 1: There should be at Lake Garritt statue. I remember they
- 11:05Speaker 1: did talk about that in school. I just don't know
- 11:06Speaker 1: what the details were. That's I can't remember. We got
- 11:10Speaker 1: the birthdays and the porn of birthday coming up here
- 11:12Speaker 1: in just a few minutes. Menace. What's happening in the
- 11:14Speaker 1: world of entertainment?
- 11:15Speaker 6: Well, guys, if you haven't seen it, get on the Google.
- 11:18Speaker 6: Have you seen Jonah Hill? This guy's skinny as hell,
- 11:21Speaker 6: crazy like it. He's a rail thin Yeah.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Good for him.
- 11:26Speaker 6: Yes, he's sick, he's so good. But yeah, he's in
- 11:30Speaker 6: the middle of shooting a movie called cut Off. I
- 11:32Speaker 6: don't know what it's about, but some paparazzi caught some
- 11:35Speaker 6: photos of him shooting this movie and damn, he's skinny.
- 11:39Speaker 4: He's unrecognizable to me.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Well, I mean, no, you see his face, you know what,
- 11:44Speaker 1: you know it's him, But the rest of his body,
- 11:47Speaker 1: I don't even Yeah, his whole look, his whole look
- 11:50Speaker 1: is changed. If I saw him, like, that's Jonah Hill.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:53Speaker 9: Really when I saw the side profile picture of this
- 11:56Speaker 9: and it was like yeah, and it's like, oh, Jonah Hill.
- 11:58Speaker 4: And I was looking right at the picture and I thought,
- 12:00Speaker 4: where is he. I don't see him.
- 12:01Speaker 5: It's weird.
- 12:02Speaker 6: Yeah, I think the movie is based in the seventies,
- 12:05Speaker 6: so that's why he has like this kind of weird
- 12:06Speaker 6: wi gone and his clothes and stuff.
- 12:08Speaker 1: But yeah, to look up Jonah Hill. Today's super super skinny.
- 12:12Speaker 1: All right. Coming up soon is the fortieth anniversary of
- 12:15Speaker 1: Back to the Future. We heard about this. They're gonna have,
- 12:17Speaker 1: you know, a bunch of screenings all over and IMAX
- 12:20Speaker 1: and things like that. But did you know that Michael j.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Fox also has a new book coming out. It's called
- 12:26Speaker 1: Future Boy and it comes out October fourteenth, and in
- 12:31Speaker 1: the book, he shares how he got mixed up with
- 12:34Speaker 1: lines between Back to the Future and shooting at his
- 12:37Speaker 1: TV show Family Ties. Yeah, because he would have like
- 12:40Speaker 1: four hours in between shoots barely yeah.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:44Speaker 5: The school shots were done at night after he'd get off.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Yeah, so he uh, he could get off, he would
- 12:50Speaker 1: mix up lines and situations. So he said that he
- 12:53Speaker 1: was in the middle of shooting Family Ties and there
- 12:56Speaker 1: was a table there and he started freaking out because
- 12:58Speaker 1: he was in the middle of shooting the scene and
- 13:01Speaker 1: he goes, wait a minute, where's the video camera. They's
- 13:03Speaker 1: supposed to be video camera on the table, but that
- 13:05Speaker 1: was actually for Back to the Future or not.
- 13:07Speaker 3: I'm not sure if I'm not sure if this is
- 13:10Speaker 3: true or not, but somebody had told me along the
- 13:13Speaker 3: way because back to the original Back to the Future
- 13:15Speaker 3: is my favorite movie of all time, which, by the way,
- 13:17Speaker 3: is going to be in Imax at the end of
- 13:19Speaker 3: this month for the big anniversary, right, so you'll be
- 13:22Speaker 3: able to watch Back to the Future in Imax.
- 13:24Speaker 1: That looks awesome.
- 13:24Speaker 3: I'm definitely going to that I had heard based on
- 13:27Speaker 3: that kind of thing, because he was doing family ties
- 13:29Speaker 3: and whatever the same time. And his girlfriend in the
- 13:33Speaker 3: movie is named Jennifer, And wasn't that also his sister Jennifer?
- 13:39Speaker 1: Yeah, and so I guess. So the whole thing is
- 13:42Speaker 1: that he was.
- 13:42Speaker 3: He was getting them confused and saying the wrong name
- 13:45Speaker 3: when he was like talking to her when they were
- 13:47Speaker 3: filming the movie. So they they changed her name to Jennifer.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Again. I've not verified that, I mean, whole reshoot, but
- 13:54Speaker 1: it was.
- 13:54Speaker 5: It was to make it easy funny.
- 13:56Speaker 3: That's the story I heard. Whether that's true or not,
- 13:58Speaker 3: I don't know, but I like the story. Yeah, it
- 14:00Speaker 3: makes sense.
- 14:01Speaker 1: It's cool. And then you know the mall that they
- 14:04Speaker 1: shot a lot at, Twin Pines Mally became Lone Pine Mall.
- 14:08Speaker 6: Yeah, the actual for reals mall. They're going to have
- 14:11Speaker 6: a meetup around one am on the fortieth anniversary. It's
- 14:15Speaker 6: packed every single year, but I'm sure this one's going
- 14:18Speaker 6: to be a big one.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:19Speaker 2: They have.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Like the sign from whatever you know from the movie
- 14:26Speaker 1: in there, Yeah they do. I mean the mall. There's
- 14:28Speaker 1: inside the mall it says, you know, here's here's a
- 14:30Speaker 1: picture from inside the mall of the sign from the movie.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I have been to this mall.
- 14:36Speaker 6: It's one of those dead malls. There's nothing in there,
- 14:38Speaker 6: the Puente Hills mall. Yeah, so there's only like a
- 14:41Speaker 6: bowling alley and a movie theater still left in the
- 14:43Speaker 6: mall pretty much. Yeah, like a lonely food court that
- 14:47Speaker 6: has like one thing open.
- 14:48Speaker 1: But the mall.
- 14:49Speaker 6: These meetups are always huge, so I'm sure it'll be fun.
- 14:52Speaker 6: Now somebody else that's going to be in a movie
- 14:54Speaker 6: just while his voice. It was announced that Robert Irwin,
- 14:58Speaker 6: Steve Irwin's son who's all on Dancing with the Stars
- 15:01Speaker 6: that keeps on taking office shirt that people are really
- 15:04Speaker 6: excited about. You know, he's being sexualized.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Underwear and yeah, we get it. You have a flat stomach. Nice,
- 15:13Speaker 1: all right.
- 15:14Speaker 6: Well, he is also going to do a voice for
- 15:16Speaker 6: the news Zutopia Movies Zutopia too, so look out for that.
- 15:20Speaker 1: That movie is going to be coming out November twenty sixth.
- 15:23Speaker 1: I enjoyed the original one, actually had a listener screening
- 15:26Speaker 1: for that. Oh yeah, a lot of listeners enjoyed that movie.
- 15:29Speaker 1: So hopefully Zutopia two will be just as good it was. Cute. Yeah,
- 15:34Speaker 1: it was nice, all right.
- 15:35Speaker 6: We talked about this a few months ago, and I
- 15:38Speaker 6: would like to get feedback again on it now. Lauren
- 15:41Speaker 6: Sanchez she is married to Jeff Bezos and another woman.
- 15:46Speaker 6: Her name is Georgia Rodriguez. She is married to Cristiano
- 15:52Speaker 6: Rialdo Rinaldo Sorry Ronaldo. Each lady both have wedding rings
- 15:58Speaker 6: that are worth six million dollar. Oh right, they're gigantic.
- 16:02Speaker 6: And these two ladies were sitting next to each other
- 16:04Speaker 6: during Paris Fashion Week, so they were They had photos
- 16:07Speaker 6: of them sitting there with their gigantic rings on. And
- 16:10Speaker 6: I remember when I brought up these gigantic rings in
- 16:13Speaker 6: this room, the lady said, I wouldn't want to wear that.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Do you still feel that way? Like, oh, where are
- 16:18Speaker 1: they gonna wear that? And they're gonna wear a events
- 16:21Speaker 1: like this?
- 16:21Speaker 5: Well, that's the thing. I if that was your daily ring,
- 16:24Speaker 5: I mean I'd lose it and I'd ruin it and
- 16:25Speaker 5: I'd break it. And it's not for me. Yeah, if
- 16:28Speaker 5: I'm trying to go to Paris Fashion Week and show
- 16:30Speaker 5: up some broad that's made to Bezos.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Why not?
- 16:32Speaker 12: Right?
- 16:32Speaker 4: We live very different lives, and the life I live
- 16:35Speaker 4: I don't want that.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Greg.
- 16:40Speaker 7: If I was a woman, I would find it too
- 16:43Speaker 7: comically big. I know that sounds stupid. That's like saying, oh,
- 16:47Speaker 7: I have too much money.
- 16:48Speaker 1: But it portion's too big. It yeahs too big. It
- 16:51Speaker 1: looks clowny, It looks.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Like costume jewel like huge costume jewelry, and no one
- 16:56Speaker 4: would believe it was real if it.
- 16:58Speaker 13: Was on my finger.
- 16:58Speaker 3: So you know, you know what's dumb. And they they
- 17:01Speaker 3: have sold way more than I would have ever expected.
- 17:04Speaker 3: I thought they would sell zeros and zeros. You know,
- 17:06Speaker 3: those big giant baseball hats.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Yes, hilous.
- 17:11Speaker 3: They look so dum stupid, and I'm convincing that people
- 17:14Speaker 3: they're not even wearing them. Ironically, I think people like, yeah,
- 17:18Speaker 3: like remember like when people were wearing those big dumb
- 17:21Speaker 3: rubber red boots.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Yeah, like cartoon cartoon boots, same thing. Yeah, that was.
- 17:29Speaker 3: But the people that did those big hats like they
- 17:32Speaker 3: were on Shark Tank. They pitched on Shark Tank and
- 17:37Speaker 3: nobody took them up on it. And then dude, it's crazy, Dude,
- 17:40Speaker 3: I've seen so many of those things that would be
- 17:42Speaker 3: like around for a month. And I love hats, as
- 17:44Speaker 3: you know, and there's still some people around there wearing them.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Insane. Yeah, it's so stupid. All right, well, thank you

- 19:58Speaker 10: You love it.
- 19:59Speaker 1: You listening to.
- 20:02Speaker 2: This is the show.
- 20:04Speaker 1: We'll welcome back everybody. Yeah, all right.
- 20:06Speaker 3: So, uh, we were just talking about the dream thing. Yeah,
- 20:11Speaker 3: I shared that post that I saw about Sugar Ray Robinson. Yeah,
- 20:15Speaker 3: We're the Fighter and he backed out of a fight
- 20:19Speaker 3: because he had a dream that he killed his opponent,
- 20:24Speaker 3: the guy he was supposed to fight. And then you
- 20:26Speaker 3: had like these priests and all these other people who
- 20:29Speaker 3: talked him back into it, saying, don't you're you're reading
- 20:32Speaker 3: too much into this. It's just a it's just a
- 20:34Speaker 3: dream or whatever. And so then he took the fight
- 20:38Speaker 3: and ended up killing the guys. Yeah, and we started
- 20:40Speaker 3: talking about dreams and then the people in the comments like, no, no,
- 20:43Speaker 3: dreams are God's way of speaking to you. Dreams are
- 20:47Speaker 3: something that you need to listen to.
- 20:50Speaker 1: And uh. And so we were we were talking about that,
- 20:53Speaker 1: you know, but this thing, this thing got sent to
- 20:56Speaker 1: us and it says, sometimes we go out or we
- 20:59Speaker 1: do something, uh, and in the middle of what we're doing,
- 21:02Speaker 1: your instincts will tell you to.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Stop and leave what you're doing. Oh, yeah, and so
- 21:07Speaker 3: it's like a people were asked kind of things. So
- 21:09Speaker 3: people were asked this question, when did your instinct scream
- 21:12Speaker 3: leave now?
- 21:14Speaker 1: And what you did later? You know, you found out
- 21:17Speaker 1: that you would, you know, whatever, the right thing. Yeah,
- 21:20Speaker 1: and what you and what did you later find out
- 21:22Speaker 1: that you avoid it? Because they say your gut is
- 21:24Speaker 1: kind of like a sixth sense, right.
- 21:26Speaker 15: Well, yeah, yeah, yeah, I got a lot of gut
- 21:29Speaker 15: you know, you see the future like crazy.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I don't have a gut feeling, but like when I
- 21:34Speaker 1: travel like a week later, something crazy will happen at
- 21:37Speaker 1: a place that was.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Just oh that's yeah, Like here's here's one that this
- 21:43Speaker 3: person left on the on the tie end. So the
- 21:45Speaker 3: topic is what is something that your instincts were screaming
- 21:48Speaker 3: leave now? And then what did you later find out
- 21:50Speaker 3: that you avoided. When I was in high school, I'd
- 21:53Speaker 3: planned to take the train to go drop some stuff
- 21:56Speaker 3: off at my school and then go hang out with
- 21:59Speaker 3: my friends. The morning of I didn't want to go,
- 22:02Speaker 3: and so I just stayed in bed a little longer.
- 22:05Speaker 3: An hour later, my phone was blowing up and one
- 22:07Speaker 3: of my friends showed up at my door. The train
- 22:09Speaker 3: that I was supposed to be on had derailed and
- 22:11Speaker 3: several people had died, and my friends thought that I
- 22:15Speaker 3: was one of them because that's the train I guess he.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Would normally be on. Oh god, scary. Yeah.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Me and my friends went out one night and decided
- 22:24Speaker 3: to go to a club. As we got closer, my
- 22:26Speaker 3: gut started telling me not to go. I was able
- 22:29Speaker 3: to convince everybody not to go, and we went and
- 22:32Speaker 3: hung out of a friend's house instead. Later that night,
- 22:34Speaker 3: we saw a news report that somebody had shot up
- 22:36Speaker 3: that same club.
- 22:38Speaker 5: Wow.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, you hear a story. I forget who
- 22:41Speaker 1: who was it that was supposed to Oh I know
- 22:43Speaker 1: what it was. It was family guy Suth McFarlane was
- 22:47Speaker 1: supposed to be on one of the planes on nine
- 22:49Speaker 1: to eleven and he overslept right. Yeah, not instinct, you know.
- 22:55Speaker 5: Yeah, mine's kind of similar to that. I was supposed
- 22:57Speaker 5: to take a job at the gym next to the
- 23:00Speaker 5: World Trade Center when I just moved to New York,
- 23:02Speaker 5: and I was like, ah, this is pretty far from
- 23:04Speaker 5: where I'm living in Queens and I didn't take it,
- 23:06Speaker 5: and thank god I didn't.
- 23:08Speaker 8: Wow.
- 23:08Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, my sister I was I was at Route
- 23:12Speaker 9: ninety one didn't go on Sunday for work and stuff.
- 23:14Speaker 9: But my sister was still in Vegas, still had her
- 23:17Speaker 9: ticket to the show, her best friends were still going,
- 23:20Speaker 9: and she just didn't want to go. So she just
- 23:22Speaker 9: wasn't there on Sunday. Oh good, Yeah when the shooter scary, Yeah,
- 23:25Speaker 9: at the festival.
- 23:26Speaker 1: On nothing with life or death, but like something telling you,
- 23:30Speaker 1: like you know what I'd like just trust your gut. Yeah.
- 23:33Speaker 1: I was up for this job. I interviewed this guy.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Just got a really weird vibe on this dude.
- 23:38Speaker 3: And on this company that owned this radio station, and
- 23:42Speaker 3: so you know, and I asked a thousand questions, like
- 23:44Speaker 3: you know, how committed are you guys this format?
- 23:46Speaker 1: And like you know, so, how's everything going here? How
- 23:48Speaker 1: do you like being here? How long have you been here?
- 23:50Speaker 1: What do you plan to do? Like, are what's the
- 23:52Speaker 1: plans going forward? To make picture for the radio station?
- 23:54Speaker 1: The whole thing, And they.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Gave you the whole Oh no, we're absolutely committed, right,
- 23:58Speaker 3: So I passed. I passed on the and within two
- 24:00Speaker 3: weeks there was an announcement that they had sold all
- 24:03Speaker 3: their stations. The station ended up getting flipped to I
- 24:06Speaker 3: Forget what a sport, No smooth jazz, flipped the smooth
- 24:10Speaker 3: jazz and it was all so I would have packed
- 24:13Speaker 3: up and in the process of moving there would have
- 24:16Speaker 3: been out of a job. And I was already in
- 24:18Speaker 3: a job, and they were they were trying to convince
- 24:20Speaker 3: me to leave the job I was in. It wasn't
- 24:21Speaker 3: even like I was unemployed. They were trying to convince
- 24:24Speaker 3: me to leave this job to go to this other. So,
- 24:27Speaker 3: I mean it was something was there was something about
- 24:29Speaker 3: these guys. What would you by the way, I mean,
- 24:32Speaker 3: maybe the program director didn't know, but the company did.
- 24:35Speaker 3: The company knew that he was interviewing people. They flew
- 24:37Speaker 3: me out so they couldn't tell it, so that they
- 24:40Speaker 3: paid to fly me out and they put me up
- 24:41Speaker 3: at this hotel and the whole thing they knew. Somebody knew,
- 24:45Speaker 3: somebody that process off.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Yeah. I was drunk at a party. A guy pushed
- 24:50Speaker 1: me up against the wall. He swore that it was
- 24:51Speaker 1: a joke, but I said no, And after I left,
- 24:54Speaker 1: and after getting bad vibes from him, the guy was
- 24:56Speaker 1: arrested for rape a week later.
- 25:00Speaker 5: It's just a joke when you get pushed up against
- 25:01Speaker 5: a wall, right, ladies.
- 25:03Speaker 16: Oh yeah, hilarious.
- 25:04Speaker 11: Uh.
- 25:04Speaker 3: People were asked, when did your instinct scream leave now
- 25:07Speaker 3: and what did you later find out that you had avoided.
- 25:10Speaker 3: My parents were going on a date night and we
- 25:13Speaker 3: were they were gonna have a stay at my grandma's place.
- 25:16Speaker 3: At the last second, my mom had a gut feeling
- 25:18Speaker 3: to cancel the date night, and my grandma's house burnt
- 25:21Speaker 3: down that night. Rah, maybe Grandma is just pissed because
- 25:25Speaker 3: she was looking forward to spending.
- 25:26Speaker 5: Time in the show you keep my grandkids from me?
- 25:29Speaker 1: Yeah, damn, that's crazy.
- 25:32Speaker 3: I went to the beach and while I was in
- 25:33Speaker 3: the water, I heard a loud buzzing something told me
- 25:36Speaker 3: to get up and get out of that water really slowly.
- 25:39Speaker 3: It turns out I was being circled by sharks. I mean,
- 25:44Speaker 3: I'm sure I've had that thought. Yeah, because when I'm
- 25:47Speaker 3: on vacation and I'm at a beach somewhere, I'm in
- 25:49Speaker 3: the water a lot. I wonder, what's the closest that
- 25:53Speaker 3: I have ever been to a shark without even knowing you? Yeah,
- 25:56Speaker 3: think about that too.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Yeah, Like they looked and they went, hmmm, looks like
- 26:00Speaker 1: a big fatty seal.
- 26:01Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 26:02Speaker 1: It looks like a whale. Yeah, I bet you that's
- 26:04Speaker 1: really fatty and delicious, well marbled. It's like a human
- 26:07Speaker 1: RIBI right, I had whale for lunch. I just wonder, like,
- 26:10Speaker 1: how I know or did you ever stop to think?
- 26:14Speaker 1: I mean, Greg, you think about death all the time. Yes,
- 26:16Speaker 1: did you ever stop to think how many times you've
- 26:18Speaker 1: cheated death and had no idea? Oh? Totally by every day?
- 26:20Speaker 8: Right?
- 26:21Speaker 1: Greg?
- 26:21Speaker 2: I know?
- 26:22Speaker 7: Well, and when you're driving, you know, somebody cuts you
- 26:24Speaker 7: off and I think they almost hit me within an inch.
- 26:27Speaker 1: You know that's the stuff you're aware of. I'm talking about.
- 26:29Speaker 1: You don't even know. You don't even know.
- 26:31Speaker 7: Like if you maybe got a red light that you
- 26:34Speaker 7: if it had been green, you would have killed a
- 26:36Speaker 7: block away.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Correct.
- 26:37Speaker 5: My mom says that all the time. If on the
- 26:38Speaker 5: off chance I'm sad that plans are canceled, which never happens,
- 26:42Speaker 5: but she's like, maybe you were being protected from.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Something like maybe or just setting you up for something else. Yeah, right, Like,
- 26:49Speaker 3: but if I had been at that party, Yeah, if
- 26:51Speaker 3: I had gone through those plans and I wouldn't have
- 26:52Speaker 3: been here, I wouldn't have been.
- 26:54Speaker 7: Dead, right, Remember back in nineteen eighty nine, there was
- 26:57Speaker 7: that huge earthquake in the San Francisco Bay area in
- 27:00Speaker 7: the World Series. Yes, the World Series earthquake, right, yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 27:03Speaker 7: And my mom was inside of a store at the
- 27:05Speaker 7: time when the earthquake happened, and she felt the need
- 27:08Speaker 7: to like run outdoors, because that's what you probably should do,
- 27:12Speaker 7: but she's something told her to stay inside, and she
- 27:14Speaker 7: was inside in the entire front of the store, which
- 27:16Speaker 7: was made of brick collapse.
- 27:18Speaker 3: So luckily, Yeah, if you got something for it, you
- 27:22Speaker 3: can hit us up on the text over to two
- 27:24Speaker 3: to two ninety seven or give us called eight seven
- 27:26Speaker 3: seven forty four. What Yeah, your instincts for screaming leave now?
- 27:30Speaker 3: And you followed through on that instinct. But what did
- 27:32Speaker 3: you later find out that you avoided eight seven seven
- 27:35Speaker 3: forty four? What hit us up with the text over
- 27:37Speaker 3: to two two nine eight seven. We got more Woody
- 27:40Speaker 3: show for you next.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Hang on, So what do you go Rica? Right after
- 27:48Speaker 1: I was working in the radio industream working in the
- 27:50Speaker 1: radio in the past thirty years, this is our every
- 27:54Speaker 1: day industry are getting cut left and right, left and
- 27:57Speaker 1: left and left and right. They've never got you know
- 28:00Speaker 1: what we should really add position. I wonder if today's
- 28:04Speaker 1: the last act.
- 28:06Speaker 2: The Woody Show.
- 28:09Speaker 1: It's another new hour insensitivity trading for a politically correct
- 28:13Speaker 1: World's a pre Friday, She's awesome Thursday morning. It's October
- 28:17Speaker 1: the ninth, twenty twenty five. My name is whaty you?
- 28:21Speaker 1: That is Greg Gory. We got Menace?
- 28:23Speaker 2: What is up?
- 28:24Speaker 1: Jina grad is here? See b asked morning to you.
- 28:27Speaker 1: We got Sammy Morgan is here. Good morning, Morgan. We
- 28:32Speaker 1: let the phones open eight seven seven forty four. Woodie,
- 28:35Speaker 1: you can hit us up with the text over to
- 28:36Speaker 1: two to nine eight seven all right?
- 28:39Speaker 3: So, uh, will Menace and Woody know it? The subject,
- 28:43Speaker 3: the topic, the theme books. I have said a number
- 28:49Speaker 3: of times I love and I do have like a
- 28:53Speaker 3: kind of like a romantic outlook on the idea I'm
- 28:58Speaker 3: sitting down like that whole It sounds so nice, like
- 29:02Speaker 3: like when someone says, curl up and read a book,
- 29:05Speaker 3: like getting getting getting comfortable, like on a couch or
- 29:08Speaker 3: like a nice chair. And yeah, like I'll see people
- 29:13Speaker 3: in places, uh, sitting on the beach just kind of
- 29:16Speaker 3: reading the book and they're so into it.
- 29:18Speaker 1: My wife will do that.
- 29:19Speaker 5: It's fun and and she loves it.
- 29:21Speaker 1: And I go, man, I wish I had the attention span.
- 29:25Speaker 1: I wish I had the focus to be able to
- 29:26Speaker 1: sit and do it, because there's so many books that
- 29:28Speaker 1: I hear about that I go, wow, that sounds really interesting.
- 29:30Speaker 1: I'll go as far as to buy them, and then
- 29:33Speaker 1: I don't read them. Yeah, and and they'll sit there.
- 29:35Speaker 1: I wonder if you just haven't found the right author yet.
- 29:40Speaker 1: That could be because like again I'm interested in the subject,
- 29:43Speaker 1: or it's it's not even like I don't I don't
- 29:45Speaker 1: want to like it, even fiction, Yeah I can. I can't.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Like I've read you know, some Stephen King books back
- 29:53Speaker 1: in the day, you know, things like that. But I
- 29:55Speaker 1: also do like my I would say primarily it would
- 29:57Speaker 1: be more nonfiction that I'd be interested in.
- 30:00Speaker 18: School books wise, obviously you're a bad school skull are
- 30:03Speaker 18: but now you've been having to learn for this flight
- 30:05Speaker 18: lesson stuff.
- 30:06Speaker 1: I don't like anything where you have to do it,
- 30:09Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like where where it's like, no,
- 30:12Speaker 1: you're going to read and learn about this that that
- 30:15Speaker 1: doesn't like I want to go, oh, that sounds interesting,
- 30:19Speaker 1: and then pick it up and read about.
- 30:20Speaker 5: You personality disorder.
- 30:22Speaker 1: It sounds like it. Yeah, it's just it's just less interesting.
- 30:25Speaker 5: Well, but maybe it's the space. Like we have this
- 30:28Speaker 5: little bonus room and we put books in it and
- 30:30Speaker 5: a nice chair and a glow so fine.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I've had never had that interest. Now you're talking about oh,
- 30:38Speaker 1: like you know, walking by on a beach and seeing
- 30:40Speaker 1: somebody read, like there's the water right there, get in
- 30:42Speaker 1: see it.
- 30:43Speaker 5: Yeah, if you were going off when you saw somebody
- 30:46Speaker 5: reading on.
- 30:46Speaker 1: A podcast, so bitch next to Yeah, super ultra hips
- 30:52Speaker 1: are young Jack, probably in our early twenties, mining your business,
- 30:56Speaker 1: reading a book, reading a book.
- 30:57Speaker 14: But you know, yeah, you know she was wearing the
- 31:01Speaker 14: hips or uniform just to show, Look, I'm better than
- 31:06Speaker 14: everybody on this plane.
- 31:07Speaker 1: That is listening to something or watching something. I'm reading
- 31:10Speaker 1: my book. That's probably what she was what most people did.
- 31:18Speaker 1: So I'm I'm curious as to what about her bothers
- 31:23Speaker 1: you so much compared to because for everything else, you go,
- 31:27Speaker 1: oh whatever, let people enjoy stuff like that's that's that's
- 31:30Speaker 1: typically your vibe on things. Yeah, okay, what is it
- 31:34Speaker 1: about this thing you Because she just had the hips,
- 31:37Speaker 1: her uniform clothing, which is clo it's very hard to describe,
- 31:43Speaker 1: but I would just say, like, like somebody, that's what
- 31:46Speaker 1: was she wearing?
- 31:47Speaker 2: Uh?
- 31:47Speaker 5: Did she like the wolf haircut?
- 31:49Speaker 2: Uh?
- 31:49Speaker 6: Yeah, she had a very hips headircut. But the easiest
- 31:54Speaker 6: way to describe before the audience would be somebody that
- 31:56Speaker 6: would be shopping at urban outfitters. They like to wear
- 31:59Speaker 6: ironic T shirts with like long skirts.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's yeah basically, so it's yeah. So she
- 32:05Speaker 1: was just wearing like normal clothes and she was reading
- 32:07Speaker 1: a book. It would not stick out to me at all,
- 32:09Speaker 1: but I knew she was going out of her way
- 32:12Speaker 1: to be like, look at me, I'm reading my Yeah,
- 32:16Speaker 1: I'm better than you. Is this how I sound when
- 32:21Speaker 1: I was making the chopsticks argument years ago about like
- 32:25Speaker 1: but because people don't wear a special outfit to use
- 32:29Speaker 1: their chopsticks. But you know that that last part of
- 32:34Speaker 1: your of your statement saying like because she wanted other
- 32:38Speaker 1: people to recognize yeah, so my thing.
- 32:42Speaker 3: I don't see how chopsticks are like an efficient way
- 32:46Speaker 3: to eat really yeah, I think if you grew up
- 32:48Speaker 3: with them and you use them, it makes more sense, like, hey,
- 32:52Speaker 3: these really two thin sticks, and I'm going to like
- 32:53Speaker 3: you know.
- 32:54Speaker 7: Yeah, But your argument was never about efficiency. It was
- 32:57Speaker 7: that the person using them wants to look.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Because of the lack of efficiency. So I go, all right,
- 33:03Speaker 1: what purpose could somebody choose to use Chop six at
- 33:07Speaker 1: a Panda Express for it? And why wouldn't you use
- 33:09Speaker 1: them at all places? If they were so efficient with like,
- 33:11Speaker 1: why would you?
- 33:12Speaker 2: Right?
- 33:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you would use them all places because I like them.
- 33:15Speaker 1: I'm not wearing like again, a special outfit. I'm not
- 33:20Speaker 1: trying to go back and and rehash the chops conversation.
- 33:23Speaker 5: But it blows down.
- 33:24Speaker 1: It's intentional to not because I think, like, I want
- 33:27Speaker 1: a snowshovel, yea sized spoon.
- 33:30Speaker 3: I don't want the little spin on with the bigger spirits, right,
- 33:33Speaker 3: I want it piled right.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Into my mouth. Also, maybe I actually hated this chick
- 33:37Speaker 1: because she waited till everybody got their drinks and everybody
- 33:40Speaker 1: there you poured them out and then had their trade
- 33:42Speaker 1: tables down, and then she was like by the window,
- 33:44Speaker 1: and then she asked everybody, Oh, I need to go
- 33:46Speaker 1: to the bathrooms. Everyone has different everyone.
- 33:50Speaker 5: Your book, Yeah, a woman too, Yeah, five minutes okay.
- 33:56Speaker 1: So everyone has to get up and grab their drinks
- 33:59Speaker 1: and stand in the aisle.
- 34:00Speaker 5: Long way to go to say I hate books.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I like the book. I love I love audio books.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Audio books are cool.
- 34:09Speaker 5: You're still getting the story.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, And I do like it better not when
- 34:14Speaker 3: they have a completely third party per like. I like
- 34:16Speaker 3: it when the author reads the book because then you
- 34:20Speaker 3: know you really, I think you get more out of
- 34:23Speaker 3: it than even if I just read it myself.
- 34:25Speaker 5: Because they are telling their story.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:28Speaker 1: I like that too.
- 34:29Speaker 7: On a work night, have you ever found yourself watching
- 34:30Speaker 7: a show and you're like, Okay, one more episode, I
- 34:32Speaker 7: have to go to bed. Yes, you stay up way
- 34:34Speaker 7: too late. And imagine people are with books. I used
- 34:37Speaker 7: to be that way with books only with two authors.
- 34:39Speaker 7: So maybe you haven't found which ones Dean Coon's and
- 34:42Speaker 7: John Grisham and.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Wrote? Who wrote the Pelican Breeth? That would be John?
- 34:48Speaker 1: I read. I read that book. I loved it.
- 34:50Speaker 3: Now Here's where I read that. I read that when
- 34:52Speaker 3: I was stuck at boarding school and we couldn't watch
- 34:54Speaker 3: TV because.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Taken away. That's that's when I read that stuff.
- 34:59Speaker 2: But I.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I've heard the name of that. Is it about Pelicans? Pelican? Yeah,
- 35:07Speaker 1: they made a movie out of it.
- 35:10Speaker 5: It was a serious movie, so mans wouldn't watch that.
- 35:12Speaker 1: Yeah, comedies? Is he which one is the airport author?
- 35:17Speaker 1: The is it James Patterson? James Pater is good to?
- 35:21Speaker 1: Is it also John?
- 35:22Speaker 17: He was?
- 35:23Speaker 1: Greg?
- 35:23Speaker 18: I know, you gotta get crap because those are not
- 35:24Speaker 18: considered very serious. They're very pulpy.
- 35:27Speaker 5: Sure, so they're entertaining for still fun.
- 35:30Speaker 7: But their page turners. And the thing about John Grisham,
- 35:32Speaker 7: he makes his chapters like about three pages, and so
- 35:36Speaker 7: you think, oh, one more chapter, forty one more?
- 35:39Speaker 8: No more?
- 35:40Speaker 1: Do you read books?
- 35:41Speaker 16: I do sometimes I haven't had time and since I've
- 35:43Speaker 16: been on this job.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Actually, yeah, like what kind of books? If you're going
- 35:46Speaker 1: to read a book? What kind of book are you reading?
- 35:48Speaker 16: I hate to call them self help books, but that's
- 35:50Speaker 16: what they would be called.
- 35:51Speaker 1: They're like help books.
- 35:53Speaker 5: Okay, they're called Robbins Mail Robbins right.
- 35:56Speaker 16: No, I like her, but I've never read her book.
- 35:58Speaker 16: Does she have books?
- 36:00Speaker 3: I thought, what's the self help book that you've read
- 36:03Speaker 3: that you got the most out of? What would you recommend?
- 36:06Speaker 3: How can we be helped?
- 36:07Speaker 12: Like Mike Dooley as an artist and at heart totally
- 36:12Speaker 12: New Earth is probably my favorite.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Wow, that sounds so hipster right there, right, I don't
- 36:16Speaker 1: like to talk about.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Totally.
- 36:19Speaker 1: I love Heart totally in his book New Earth Possibilities
- 36:25Speaker 1: and what was that about?
- 36:27Speaker 12: Just I mean, it's like self help. It's about being
- 36:29Speaker 12: inspired and you know, being a good person and getting
- 36:33Speaker 12: what you want on a life.
- 36:34Speaker 5: Okay, now, yeah, that's a big one.
- 36:39Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not making fun of you. I'm just
- 36:41Speaker 1: making for that.
- 36:41Speaker 3: The name sounds very like, yeah, like that's a name,
- 36:45Speaker 3: like if you read a book by that guy, you
- 36:46Speaker 3: would throw it around because it makes you sound I
- 36:48Speaker 3: think I have that.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Really, I don't know my family as we speak. Yeah,
- 36:52Speaker 1: it's very Can I shout out a book one of
- 36:55Speaker 1: our listeners put out and see baskets years it's called
- 36:59Speaker 1: Disney Adult. It's exploring and hold on, it's called Disney
- 37:02Speaker 1: Adults Exploring and falling in love with a magical subculture.
- 37:09Speaker 1: To one of our listeners put that out, so it's
- 37:12Speaker 1: available now.
- 37:13Speaker 5: Possible trademark violation.
- 37:16Speaker 1: You can write.
- 37:16Speaker 3: You can write books about Disney all day long. There's
- 37:19Speaker 3: a ton of them out there about how to you know,
- 37:21Speaker 3: tackle the parks If you have X number of days
- 37:23Speaker 3: and you have this is the best way.
- 37:24Speaker 18: To do it, but they usually call it like magical,
- 37:27Speaker 18: and Disney shouts them out all the time because they
- 37:30Speaker 18: have a popular Instagram page called Disney Food Blog.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I've seen that. I've seen that, all right, So
- 37:36Speaker 3: we'll take the break and then we'll come back with
- 37:38Speaker 3: this game. Will Menace and what he know it. The
- 37:41Speaker 3: topic is books, and so you have just a basic description.
- 37:45Speaker 3: I have a basic description of the plot. This is
- 37:47Speaker 3: not meant to trick you. This is meant to just
- 37:50Speaker 3: these These are very well known stories.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Okay, now, Will Medice and I know it, and I
- 37:55Speaker 1: think what we're gonna do is we're going to try
- 37:56Speaker 1: to take a guest first, and if neither one of
- 37:59Speaker 1: us can can get it, then you're gonna give us
- 38:00Speaker 1: some multiple choice at that point. Okay, how about almost
- 38:03Speaker 1: a lifeline and then you get it.
- 38:05Speaker 5: Yeah, you definitely have to guess.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, yeah, that's the idea. And then yeah, and
- 38:10Speaker 1: then and then afterwards then we're going, okay, well, no,
- 38:13Speaker 1: that's not it. There, Yeah, they're there.
- 38:16Speaker 5: You might stumble into a few of these.
- 38:18Speaker 1: No, no, here are some multiple choices. So we'll do
- 38:22Speaker 1: that next here on The wood Show eight seven, seven
- 38:23Speaker 1: forty four Woodings.
- 38:25Speaker 7: I've developed this new thing in my head that if
- 38:28Speaker 7: I go to the same place every day, the employees
- 38:30Speaker 7: at that place are going to go.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Oh God, he's here again. You're so tortured, man, I am.
- 38:40Speaker 1: So let's play this game. Well, Woody and Menace know it.
- 38:45Speaker 1: The theme books books, books. He didn't like the idea
- 38:48Speaker 1: of books, mess I guess not so much. Doesn't like
- 38:49Speaker 1: the idea of book makes any yeah trigger for MEA, yeah,
- 38:54Speaker 1: I do like audio books, though I did find time
- 38:57Speaker 1: to Yeah, yeah.
- 38:59Speaker 3: All right, Well, so it's Gina who was gonna give us, like,
- 39:02Speaker 3: basically a plot, and then we have to try to
- 39:05Speaker 3: take a guest Menace as to what the book is, like,
- 39:07Speaker 3: what the name of the book is, right, and then whatever?
- 39:10Speaker 3: And then if we can't get that, if neither one
- 39:12Speaker 3: of us can get that, then she'll give us a
- 39:14Speaker 3: multiple choice then we can try to figure it out
- 39:16Speaker 3: from there.
- 39:17Speaker 5: Now, would somebody keep score for it?
- 39:19Speaker 2: Maybe? Greg?
- 39:20Speaker 5: Thank Yeah? Yeah, I mean first first book. This book
- 39:26Speaker 5: tells the story of a middle aged professor obsessed with
- 39:30Speaker 5: his landlady's fourteen year old daughter. He marries her mother
- 39:33Speaker 5: so he can be near the girl, but when the
- 39:35Speaker 5: mother accidentally dies, he pursues a relationship with the girl.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Oh, I think I know this one, you said, Professor,
- 39:44Speaker 1: and immediately I went to one thing, and then everything
- 39:47Speaker 1: else you said doesn't make sense.
- 39:49Speaker 3: But now I can't think of anything that involves a
- 39:51Speaker 3: professor other than like Dead Poets Society based off the guy.
- 39:55Speaker 18: That guy wrote that book in my high school, by
- 39:56Speaker 18: the way, on his experience was teaching young youths.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Oh, you gave it away young yeah? Well wait yeah, wait,
- 40:03Speaker 1: wait to give us all the answers there. Yeah, I'm
- 40:07Speaker 1: gonna guess the only thing I can think of is
- 40:10Speaker 1: Lolita Lida answer everybody, no, beautiful mind?
- 40:17Speaker 5: Okay, beautiful mind?
- 40:18Speaker 1: Was that the book? Because I know it's the movie. Yeah,
- 40:20Speaker 1: but that's the professor. I'm like getting out some shake
- 40:23Speaker 1: up in there. I'm with you. I don't know, Okay,
- 40:27Speaker 1: neither one of us, right, but I know there was
- 40:29Speaker 1: like the Lolita was like the underage thing.
- 40:31Speaker 5: Woody, I think you might be overthinking it because menace
- 40:34Speaker 5: is one thousand percent correct?
- 40:37Speaker 2: Is that right?
- 40:40Speaker 1: On? The Professor? I've never even seen the movie either.
- 40:44Speaker 5: She's going, what's here too? So well, remember we've done
- 40:48Speaker 5: this before, you know, about six months ago, siding go
- 40:51Speaker 5: to the next round. All right, here we go, all right,
- 40:54Speaker 5: very good minute. Next book. This book is about a
- 40:57Speaker 5: group of pre pubescent British boys randed on an island
- 41:01Speaker 5: and their disastrous attempts to govern themselves lead to a
- 41:04Speaker 5: descent into savagery.
- 41:06Speaker 1: All right, this is a classic, right, yeah, I know this.
- 41:11Speaker 1: I know the movie. Really there's a movie on it. Yeah,
- 41:14Speaker 1: that's very famous. Not that famous.
- 41:17Speaker 5: This is very slum Dog Millionaire of Menace.
- 41:19Speaker 1: It's not very famous. It is, yeah, super famous.
- 41:23Speaker 7: Right.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Yeah, everyone just tried throwing us off. The reason I
- 41:26Speaker 3: said that is is throwing the guys gonna win this
- 41:28Speaker 3: game off. Menace is really getting down at the bottom
- 41:30Speaker 3: of this one.
- 41:30Speaker 5: Famous he should know.
- 41:32Speaker 10: Oh my god, God, dude, goodness, great, Sorry, trying to
- 41:36Speaker 10: have fun over here. Okay, talking it through God, I
- 41:41Speaker 10: can oh no, not even close.
- 41:45Speaker 1: That movie like it came out in the seventies, right
- 41:49Speaker 1: or sixties? No way to know what multiple choice?
- 41:53Speaker 5: Okay, is it Atonement, Lord of the Flies or the
- 42:00Speaker 5: Ventures of Huckleberry Finn the Flies? You're both correct?
- 42:04Speaker 1: Okay, nice, yeah, heck yeah.
- 42:06Speaker 15: You Huckleberry face like you said, descends into yeah, ye savagery.
- 42:10Speaker 15: Yeah right, all right, moving forward.
- 42:12Speaker 5: Yeah, this is an epic tale spanning forty years in
- 42:16Speaker 5: the life of an African American woman living in the
- 42:18Speaker 5: South who survives abuse and bigotry by the hands of
- 42:22Speaker 5: her father as well as the older man she is
- 42:24Speaker 5: married off to.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Help. Because you have to guess, okay, one more time,
- 42:38Speaker 1: The book follows.
- 42:39Speaker 5: Oh, I'm sorry. This is an epic tale spanning forty
- 42:42Speaker 5: years in the life of an African American woman living
- 42:45Speaker 5: in the South who survives abuse and bigotry by the
- 42:48Speaker 5: hands of her father as well as the older man
- 42:50Speaker 5: she has married off to. And for the record, Greg
- 42:53Speaker 5: has gotten every single one of these rights.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Of course he has smart and.
- 42:59Speaker 5: I got this nice?
- 43:00Speaker 1: Didn't they just remake this movie? I think, how do
- 43:04Speaker 1: you know all this stuff?
- 43:05Speaker 5: He slum do off millionaire?
- 43:06Speaker 1: I just watched trailers. Yeah, I think they just this
- 43:11Speaker 1: movie with the with the girl that played that played
- 43:17Speaker 1: Little Mermaid.
- 43:20Speaker 19: You can do it.
- 43:22Speaker 1: I got to go to the aerial, Yeah, I gotta
- 43:25Speaker 1: go in the name of the three options.
- 43:28Speaker 5: The options, is it beloved, atonement or the color purple?
- 43:35Speaker 1: Okay, I was gonna one of the things that when
- 43:38Speaker 1: you when you were giving the description association, I just
- 43:41Speaker 1: said Oprah in my mind, So I'll say the color purple. Yeah,
- 43:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna say the color purple because that's the only
- 43:47Speaker 1: one that I know out of those three.
- 43:49Speaker 5: You two are both geniuses. You were dancing around. Oprah
- 43:53Speaker 5: was one of the original producers and in it yep
- 43:56Speaker 5: of the movie, the original movie.
- 43:58Speaker 1: That's why when you said the color purple. Well there
- 44:00Speaker 1: that's a that's the Oprah part that popped in my brain. Yeah,
- 44:04Speaker 1: very good.
- 44:05Speaker 5: I mean, just you know version Menace. Yeah, and a musical.
- 44:10Speaker 1: A musical.
- 44:11Speaker 5: Yeah, it's Tony Orben.
- 44:13Speaker 1: You've heard of it? Everyone want all right? So will
- 44:16Speaker 1: everyone Woody and Menace know it? The topic books next one,
- 44:20Speaker 1: next plot.
- 44:21Speaker 5: This book follows a sixteen year old boy who's fed
- 44:24Speaker 5: up with the phony adult world and gets expelled from
- 44:27Speaker 5: his boarding school. The story then follows his experience over
- 44:30Speaker 5: a few days in New York City before Christmas.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Oh yeah, this is teenage Woody. Yeah seriously, wow, not
- 44:38Speaker 1: home alone, and.
- 44:39Speaker 5: It features a guy with a defiant personality disorder Gregg
- 44:43Speaker 5: again killing its writing them down.
- 44:46Speaker 2: It is.
- 44:47Speaker 1: It's a great and I recently just got it again.
- 44:50Speaker 1: To reread. They make it into a movie, can I
- 44:51Speaker 1: watch it?
- 44:52Speaker 5: No more questions.
- 44:53Speaker 1: It's not Bob Dylan, Greg's no phony. This one I
- 44:58Speaker 1: have no clue on. I like the Home Alone guess
- 45:01Speaker 1: that's good, but I'll be more specific Home Alone Lost
- 45:04Speaker 1: in New York.
- 45:07Speaker 5: Answer.
- 45:08Speaker 1: My guess would be that would he probably went through
- 45:11Speaker 1: life without reading it. But I bet you did. Men
- 45:13Speaker 1: really read no books.
- 45:16Speaker 7: Because we went kind of the same area of schools
- 45:19Speaker 7: and I think they all had the exact same reading.
- 45:21Speaker 5: That doesn't mean he read it.
- 45:22Speaker 1: But the only book I remember ever is Flowers for Alga.
- 45:28Speaker 5: We did have to read.
- 45:28Speaker 1: I remember Tuck Everlasting in like Beverly Cleary and Judy Bloom.
- 45:33Speaker 15: But you stop reading in like fourth grade and Tales
- 45:35Speaker 15: of fourth Grade. Enough super Yeah, the Mountain, the motorcycle,
- 45:41Speaker 15: or the y.
- 45:42Speaker 5: I'm going to give you three choices, Okay, is it
- 45:45Speaker 5: one hundred Years of Solitude, the Catcher in the Rye
- 45:48Speaker 5: or never let me go.
- 45:52Speaker 1: I mean, I remember what Catcher on the Right I've
- 45:55Speaker 1: heard of that. I know Catcher in the Right is
- 45:58Speaker 1: super famous, yea, but I couldn't tell you what it's
- 46:01Speaker 1: about me neither. So Catcher in the Right.
- 46:06Speaker 5: So it was the first one, one hundred years of Solitude,
- 46:09Speaker 5: and the.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Third one, Never Let Me Go. Yeah, I don't know those.
- 46:13Speaker 1: I mean, I've heard of one hundred years of Solitude,
- 46:15Speaker 1: but I haven't heard that one. So catching the Rise,
- 46:20Speaker 1: I have.
- 46:20Speaker 3: To agree with Menace. But all for the sake of
- 46:22Speaker 3: the game, I'll say whatever. That third one was never
- 46:24Speaker 3: let me Go, Never let me Go.
- 46:26Speaker 5: Menace keeps backing into the right answers the Catcher in
- 46:30Speaker 5: the Right.
- 46:31Speaker 18: Of all three titles, that's the most that's the most classic. Yeah,
- 46:36Speaker 18: I just read one hundred years of Solitude. Manages that suck.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Capturing the Rye, I.
- 46:40Speaker 5: Think that's about It's a metaphor.
- 46:42Speaker 1: It is a baseball gets a hooker.
- 46:47Speaker 5: Like rebellion to be the catcher in the rye, the
- 46:50Speaker 5: catching the kids before they grow up and become phonies.
- 46:54Speaker 1: Should read this one day. It's good. Yeah, you fast
- 46:57Speaker 1: forward to the Hooker read all right, here we go.
- 47:02Speaker 5: This is a dystopian future novel set in New England
- 47:06Speaker 5: and deals with the oppressive patriarchal government that overthrows the
- 47:10Speaker 5: United States.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Overthrows the United States? Do you greag get it right again?
- 47:16Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 47:17Speaker 1: I get two of them, very confused. But no, okay,
- 47:21Speaker 1: you know it. I wish say anyway? Right, he goes,
- 47:24Speaker 1: oh wait, it must be this other.
- 47:25Speaker 2: One that I no.
- 47:30Speaker 5: I could give another. I could give another, but I
- 47:32Speaker 5: don't think it's going to help either of you.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Did he write did he write down the Boston tea party?
- 47:37Speaker 1: That was my first guest, my second guest.
- 47:39Speaker 5: Okay, you want me to read it again?
- 47:40Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah.
- 47:41Speaker 5: This is a futuristic dystopian novel set in New England
- 47:45Speaker 5: and deals with the oppressive patriarchal government that overthrows the
- 47:49Speaker 5: United States.
- 47:51Speaker 1: Does it have to do with aliens? What's the one
- 47:53Speaker 1: with hal Menace?
- 47:53Speaker 14: What was it?
- 47:57Speaker 1: I could give a.
- 47:58Speaker 5: Little hint, but I don't know if it'll help.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Now, well, you're gonna have multiple choice, right yeah? All right?
- 48:03Speaker 5: Uh yeah, you best to get me, you know school. Yeah,
- 48:12Speaker 5: I don't know, dude, just make up something.
- 48:15Speaker 9: No.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:17Speaker 1: People wonder why I hate myself so much?
- 48:19Speaker 2: They do.
- 48:20Speaker 1: They go like, I don't get it, man, like you
- 48:22Speaker 1: have so much to be I'm like, yeah, I know,
- 48:23Speaker 1: but like Boston versus Aliens?
- 48:25Speaker 5: Okay, Boston Aliens?
- 48:27Speaker 1: What's your Boston versus aliens. What's your what's it?
- 48:30Speaker 2: What's it?
- 48:31Speaker 1: Was it?
- 48:32Speaker 2: How? What was how?
- 48:33Speaker 1: How was space? Space house? Yeah two, that's one space office.
- 48:37Speaker 5: We're gonna go to multiple Choice. All right, okay, is
- 48:40Speaker 5: it Brave New World The Handmaid's Tail Fahrenheit four fifty one.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Fahrenheit four fifty one sounds like ominous, Yeah, like dominous,
- 48:54Speaker 1: like a specific What was the first one I gave?
- 48:58Speaker 5: Brave New World?
- 48:59Speaker 1: Brave New World.
- 48:59Speaker 3: That's sounds like the plot sounds like a good title
- 49:02Speaker 3: for whatever you just described. Uh yeah, yeah, put me
- 49:09Speaker 3: down for that one world and menace. I'll do this
- 49:12Speaker 3: Brave New World.
- 49:13Speaker 5: The answer is, if you guys like TV so much,
- 49:16Speaker 5: is a huge series, The Handmaid's Tad, Damn, it's really
- 49:18Speaker 5: a huge series. They would never watch, Like, this isn't
- 49:22Speaker 5: going to help them out, you know what I was
- 49:24Speaker 5: going to say, Sea Beasts. I was like, it's not
- 49:25Speaker 5: going to help them. The new government of Gilead that
- 49:28Speaker 5: was gonna that was going to be a that's the
- 49:32Speaker 5: new name of the United States.
- 49:33Speaker 1: The key word is patriarchy. Yeah, exactly, Well about controlling
- 49:37Speaker 1: pregnancies the Handmaid If that was semi in the description
- 49:42Speaker 1: of the plot, I would have got it because I
- 49:43Speaker 1: did watch some of The Handsmaid's Tale.
- 49:46Speaker 5: There you go, all right, you want one more?
- 49:48Speaker 1: Give me one more? Okay? This is will for by
- 49:52Speaker 1: the way, and what do you have to Okay? Real
- 49:54Speaker 1: menace and what you know it books?
- 49:57Speaker 5: This is the toughest one in my opinion. I will
- 50:00Speaker 5: be curious of Greg and Sybasket this. This book follows
- 50:03Speaker 5: a soldier who becomes unstuck in time and experiences moments
- 50:08Speaker 5: from his life, including his capture during World War Two
- 50:12Speaker 5: and the bombing of Dresden in a jumbled nonlinear Way's
- 50:16Speaker 5: your clue, by the way, so you.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Definitely had to read in high school. I actually read
- 50:20Speaker 1: it six years ago.
- 50:25Speaker 5: This book follows a soldier who becomes quote unstuck in
- 50:29Speaker 5: time and experiences moments from his life, including his capture
- 50:32Speaker 5: during World War Two and the bombing of Dresden in
- 50:35Speaker 5: a jumbled nonlinear way.
- 50:38Speaker 1: This is probably the most worshiped book on that list.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Quantum Leap.
- 50:48Speaker 5: Boston versus Aliens and at the end he always wants
- 50:55Speaker 5: his last leap to be the leap home.
- 50:58Speaker 1: I think you're right, uh, not saving Private Ryan? That
- 51:05Speaker 1: was gonna be my guest. That the book. Yeah, I'm
- 51:09Speaker 1: saving Private.
- 51:10Speaker 5: Ryan saving Private rhyme and quantumly Yeah, okay, we're going
- 51:14Speaker 5: to go to multiple choice. Is it the Alchemist, the
- 51:19Speaker 5: Sound and the Fury, Slaughterhouse five.
- 51:23Speaker 1: I've heard of none of those.
- 51:25Speaker 3: I meant some of the fury. Alchemist sounds familiar. Yeah, Alchemist, okay,
- 51:36Speaker 3: and minutes number three I don't know.
- 51:38Speaker 5: Slaughterhouse five.
- 51:40Speaker 1: Oh no, that sounds like a number two.
- 51:46Speaker 5: The Sound and the Fury. Man, if you should have
- 51:49Speaker 5: gone with your gut, the answer is Slaughterhouse five. Greg's
- 51:54Speaker 5: going to total up the.
- 51:59Speaker 1: Well, thank you, crushing it, crush it everything. Yeah, you know,
- 52:06Speaker 1: well we got four and two.
- 52:09Speaker 5: Well done, everybody.
- 52:11Speaker 1: Man, you have a great reading list. Oh yeah yeah yeah.
- 52:14Speaker 1: The show book Club. Yeah, I can't imagine. All right,
- 52:18Speaker 1: eight seven, seven forty four. Thank you, Gina, Thank you.
- 52:21Speaker 1: That was depressing.
- 52:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:27Speaker 1: I mean, I obviously don't care.
- 52:32Speaker 3: About other people when it comes to oh what you're
- 52:36Speaker 3: dumb or whatever, But it's self inflicted. It's self inflicted,
- 52:41Speaker 3: like doing that doing that books thing just a reminder
- 52:46Speaker 3: of just how I mean, how.
- 52:47Speaker 1: Truly stupid I am.
- 52:48Speaker 5: You're dumb means well read.
- 52:50Speaker 1: I'm not well read.
- 52:51Speaker 3: It's it's like when it comes to life stuff, I
- 52:54Speaker 3: think I'm I think I'm probably a little above average
- 52:57Speaker 3: in a lot of ways, but certainly on that kind
- 53:01Speaker 3: of like criminally stupid.
- 53:03Speaker 1: Why you're into what you're into? No, no, I know,
- 53:06Speaker 1: and I've somehow managed to make my way through that.
- 53:08Speaker 1: I guess it's you know what, it's a story of
- 53:10Speaker 1: hope for a lot of people out I think you
- 53:13Speaker 1: could take some comfort. You can take some comfort in that.
- 53:15Speaker 18: A lot of those titles, though, are cultural touchstones. So
- 53:18Speaker 18: like I've never seen or read Lolita, but I knew
- 53:21Speaker 18: what the answer was based on the clues.
- 53:23Speaker 1: Yeah, and Lord of the Flies, like I knew the
- 53:26Speaker 1: plot of it, but I've seen the.
- 53:29Speaker 5: Movie the book trying to screw you up?
- 53:32Speaker 1: But I mean, what is that going to help me in?
- 53:35Speaker 1: I did hear a radio advertisement speaking of like movies
- 53:37Speaker 1: and things like that. I heard a radio advertised by
- 53:40Speaker 1: just telling everybody right before we came back from the break,
- 53:43Speaker 1: there's there's something that one of the local audio video
- 53:45Speaker 1: places is soell it's it'll stream first round, like movies
- 53:49Speaker 1: that are still in theaters right to your house. Oh damn,
- 53:52Speaker 1: Now that's the way to do it great.
- 53:53Speaker 6: I really love that because I know they sell those
- 53:56Speaker 6: type of boxes at like the swap Meet, but likes
- 54:00Speaker 6: almost just a few.
- 54:00Speaker 1: Years ago, and I remember like those stories about hey,
- 54:03Speaker 1: they're gonna be coming out with this thing.
- 54:04Speaker 7: I'm sure it's a big jillion dollars fifty is it?
- 54:08Speaker 7: But like they tried that thing with what was it
- 54:11Speaker 7: called movie pass where it was like unlimited movies. Yeah,
- 54:15Speaker 7: you go exactly, but then it's the going part that
- 54:17Speaker 7: Greg doesn't want to do. Well, I don't want to
- 54:19Speaker 7: go number one, but number two. They also have to
- 54:22Speaker 7: complicate everything. It sounded too good to be true, and
- 54:25Speaker 7: sure enough it was because then they said, oh, you
- 54:27Speaker 7: can only do x amount.
- 54:28Speaker 1: Per well because that's when they start getting money.
- 54:30Speaker 7: Yeah, but then don't come up with that idea. You
- 54:33Speaker 7: don't have a pass that lets you go anytime the end,
- 54:37Speaker 7: and then they put all these caveats on it, and
- 54:40Speaker 7: then they changed it and this like just make it normal.
- 54:43Speaker 1: So I think the thing that you're talking about though,
- 54:45Speaker 1: what he is called the stratio e movie player okay,
- 54:50Speaker 1: and what does that cost? Does have a price on there,
- 54:53Speaker 1: says click the by online okay available to.
- 54:56Speaker 18: Order grant for the box, three grand for the box,
- 54:59Speaker 18: and I'm sure there's obviously there's a service fee per right,
- 55:03Speaker 18: because I'm seeing something else called red Carpet Home Cinema
- 55:05Speaker 18: which was saying one thousand to three thousand of pop.
- 55:08Speaker 1: Wait wait, wait for the actual box itself or the
- 55:11Speaker 1: per movie. That can't be right cheaper version. Yeah again,
- 55:17Speaker 1: it's called the Yeah, even I would leave the house
- 55:20Speaker 1: for that price. Yeah, right, Light Escape maybe.
- 55:24Speaker 5: Yeah, it looks like it's about three grand for the box.
- 55:27Speaker 3: The box, and then what's the service, Like how much
- 55:28Speaker 3: does that cost? Because I mean, if you total it
- 55:31Speaker 3: all up, like I'm saying, for a married, married couple,
- 55:34Speaker 3: but that's a lot of movies just to break even
- 55:36Speaker 3: married couple with kids. So I'm doing the I'm doing
- 55:39Speaker 3: the math for all you non breeders out there. Again
- 55:42Speaker 3: for my wife and I, not now kids are older,
- 55:45Speaker 3: but you know, for my wife and I, when the
- 55:46Speaker 3: kids were little, we wanted to go to a movie.
- 55:48Speaker 3: First of all, you have to find a movie that
- 55:49Speaker 3: you want to see together, right, and sometimes it's just
- 55:51Speaker 3: getting out of the house.
- 55:52Speaker 1: It doesn't matter.
- 55:53Speaker 3: So forget that you want to go to a movie.
- 55:55Speaker 3: Now it's like, Okay, you got to find the day
- 55:57Speaker 3: of the time. Okay, cool, Now you got to get
- 55:58Speaker 3: the babysitter. So the babysitter on average is between fifteen
- 56:02Speaker 3: and twenty dollars an hour, okay these days. Okay, So
- 56:06Speaker 3: you have that, then you go and what a movie
- 56:08Speaker 3: to I've been to the movies in a while, but.
- 56:11Speaker 1: Not the mat name. I'm talking like you're going, like
- 56:13Speaker 1: at a date night, around twenty bucks for her ticket,
- 56:16Speaker 1: It was like twenty five.
- 56:16Speaker 5: Oh yeah, so say twenty at least.
- 56:18Speaker 3: There's another fifty bucks all right on top of the
- 56:20Speaker 3: babysitter money. And of course, now that you're out, you're
- 56:22Speaker 3: gonna make it an evening of it. Yes, you're you're
- 56:25Speaker 3: gonna do dinner.
- 56:26Speaker 1: God knows what that. But let's assume we're gonna go
- 56:28Speaker 1: something like nice and casual and cheap alright, So you
- 56:30Speaker 1: add that in there, and then you get to the movie,
- 56:32Speaker 1: and you can't be in the movie without getting at
- 56:33Speaker 1: least one small soda for forty dollars, because that's why
- 56:37Speaker 1: they make all their money.
- 56:38Speaker 18: Right, So good news, Woddy. If you have one of
- 56:40Speaker 18: these boxes, the movies themselves are affordable. You can rent
- 56:43Speaker 18: them for thirty dollars. Here's conjuring the last rites thirty dollars.
- 56:46Speaker 18: But again, it is that three thousand to plus upfront
- 56:49Speaker 18: box costs that's going to eat you.
- 56:50Speaker 3: Okay, so the box you spend three thousand bucks on
- 56:54Speaker 3: and then you pay per movie per movie, you're doing
- 56:56Speaker 3: a decent deal. Actually, Yeah, by today's stands. I mean
- 56:59Speaker 3: that's because that's basically like on Apple, that's how much
- 57:02Speaker 3: it costs for like.
- 57:03Speaker 1: A new movie.
- 57:05Speaker 5: So you have to rebuy the box every year, right, No,
- 57:07Speaker 5: and wright all the math you just did that can
- 57:10Speaker 5: add up to with a babysitter and stuff. Let's say
- 57:12Speaker 5: that's two hundred bucks, So that's fifteen movies.
- 57:16Speaker 3: Yeah, over the course of you know whatever, let's say
- 57:19Speaker 3: two years. How many movies you're going to watch the
- 57:21Speaker 3: two years? Yeah, because I would imagine that the box
- 57:24Speaker 3: and technology might change a little bit. You might have to,
- 57:26Speaker 3: you know, watch movies at home box version two point
- 57:28Speaker 3: zh that you have to or want to does something
- 57:32Speaker 3: better greater?
- 57:33Speaker 1: Yeah, surgery rental where you get it for forty eight hours,
- 57:36Speaker 1: or something you can buy or rent, but of course
- 57:38Speaker 1: that's digital buy of course. Yeah.
- 57:40Speaker 5: Yeah, it appears on Zone right, cool concept.
- 57:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I like that idea. You know, a lot of money.
- 57:46Speaker 5: And they have a big backlog too of oldham stuff
- 57:48Speaker 5: like there's have you seen black Light from Ligam Neeson Creig.
- 57:53Speaker 1: Dollars, Right, you do like that? Yeah, I'm not going
- 57:59Speaker 1: to get it, but it's sound no now because I
- 58:02Speaker 1: think about it. I wanted to see Oppenheimer so bad.
- 58:06Speaker 1: I know, I know, forget how bad it is. But
- 58:09Speaker 1: when we first saw the trailers and stuff like, oh dude,
- 58:12Speaker 1: I'm definitely definitely go see that. Never make it to
- 58:17Speaker 1: the theater. Then they re released in the theaters. Never
- 58:20Speaker 1: made it to that. Then they really re release it
- 58:23Speaker 1: again for a third time after it won some awards.
- 58:26Speaker 1: Still didn't see it there.
- 58:27Speaker 3: Now it's been on you know, Apple TV or whatever
- 58:30Speaker 3: everywhere for however long still to this day have not
- 58:35Speaker 3: seen it.
- 58:35Speaker 20: Now.
- 58:35Speaker 3: Part of that is because everybody's crapped on it so hard,
- 58:38Speaker 3: saying how just mega boring it was.
- 58:41Speaker 1: It's criminally you would say boring. Yeah, I told you.
- 58:48Speaker 3: The next time going to theater is for the re
- 58:50Speaker 3: release of Back to the Future at the end of
- 58:52Speaker 3: this month. They're they're doing like a big anniversary edition
- 58:55Speaker 3: of it. In Imax for the be.
- 58:56Speaker 1: Able to watch the Back the Future and you like that, Greg, right,
- 59:00Speaker 1: I guess so you didn't like the original, you know,
- 59:03Speaker 1: like Back to the Future.
- 59:04Speaker 7: You know who ruined it for me was John mulaney
- 59:06Speaker 7: with his bit on how out the plot is. It's
- 59:09Speaker 7: a sci fi movie.
- 59:10Speaker 1: I get it.
- 59:11Speaker 5: It's teenager but friends a disgraced physicists.
- 59:15Speaker 1: I don't know, it's so good. I do find it
- 59:18Speaker 1: odd that that's your all time favorite movie. Really, yeah,
- 59:21Speaker 1: why what's odd about it?
- 59:23Speaker 2: Though?
- 59:23Speaker 1: Because it's, to use genus favorite word, it's too whimsical.
- 59:27Speaker 1: It does have whimsy, yeah, yeah, it's a little oh
- 59:32Speaker 1: and it's a little whimsy and it's it's amazing fantasy
- 59:35Speaker 1: and it's amazing. I don't know, it just doesn't seem
- 59:37Speaker 1: like it seems like you would like something more violent.
- 59:40Speaker 1: I went to your favorite. I do I love a
- 59:42Speaker 1: lot of violence, like or something.
- 59:44Speaker 3: I went to the pharmacy to go to pick up
- 59:46Speaker 3: a prescription the other day, and you know, they always
- 59:48Speaker 3: have that random crap by the you know, check out
- 59:51Speaker 3: and whatever. Yeah, they had you know, sometimes like for
- 59:54Speaker 3: whatever reason, like who is sitting here buying basically matchbox
- 59:57Speaker 3: versions of school buses and random cars and you know,
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: fire trucks, and I guess you.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Know, they they had a DeLorean there, like a back
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: to the future and I almost bought it. Yeah, and
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: then and then uh yeah, and then I got outside
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: and I was like, you know what next time? So
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: the next time I went in there, like you know,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna buy that DeLorean, it was gone.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Somebody bought it.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Damn it.
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: All right, eight seven, seven forty four. Woodie, you can
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: set us a text. Hit us up, check in over
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: to two nine eighty seven.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: We'll be right back. How dumb are you?
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: From the Woodie Show.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: I'll be right back now that's the Woodie Show. We
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: got the news headlines coming up, some of the trending
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: news headlines. Juni grad is gonna have that for us. Yep,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: he's looking over MENACE's birthday month wishless. Oh yes, that's all.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: He's good. We got to cross off visit Jay Leno's garage.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Still on a high from that, I was awesome. I
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: stop thinking about it now.
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: Let me can I ask a question because I didn't
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: go it's supposed to go. Yeah, like, do we we
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: have like a connection over there like if like maybe
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: like down down the road.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: So to speak. Yeah, episode orm I just s O L. Yeah,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: but I would like I would like to see you
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: love it. Yeah, I think you would really like.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just been It's you know, I tell you
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: it's been a it's been a week. I know people
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: say that in so many shows. It's like, I don't know,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: it's three weeks been stuffed into one week.
- 1:01:30Speaker 5: Yeah, I just can't catch up.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Yeah, it does feel that way. But let's get an
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: update on the MENACE's birthday month.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: It's October, and you know what that means. It's menaces birthday.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: The counter is, well, he had on there and visit
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Jay Little his garage check done.
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: Is it weird that I almost got emotional about that afterwards? No,
- 1:01:58Speaker 7: I say this with all sincerity. This is a private collection.
- 1:02:04Speaker 7: He owns these cars. He doesn't have to share it
- 1:02:06Speaker 7: with anybody, and yeah, he lets people see it.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: It's so nice.
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: I was like really moved by and he was really cool. Yeah,
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: anybody can do whatever the hell he wants.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: So cool.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and you know, super nice, super cool just for
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: a very you know, chill, all right, it's a medicine
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: birthday month. Yes, the paddock access, I have a checked
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: I have it checked up. As for Austin, No, I
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: will be at the Austin race. Yeah, so paddock access
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: during f one in Austin. That's that's what he's really
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: looking for. But you know, somebody reached out because they
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: work on I guess one of the teams or something.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Because a race in Vegas, and Vegas is said, yeah,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: I should have asked us on day one? Is the
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: paddock like down in the middle, Yeah, like all the

- 1:04:48Speaker 1: suite at the Palms.
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: So I just got a message last night and they said,
- 1:04:53Speaker 6: don't worry, it's gonna happen. Oh really, So I have
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: no more details. But that's all I got. Funny you said,
- 1:05:00Speaker 6: because I do have details?
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: Oh you do? Yes, that is right, ladies and gentlemen.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: Menace is verified, really confirmed. Menace will get to shoot
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: hoops inside the hardwood suite they're at the Pomps. It's
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: something that he has had on his uh bucket lists
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: for years and it's happening. No way, it's happenings staying
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: the night confirmed, that's amazing. He's just shoot hoops inside

- 1:05:58Speaker 1: So not only can you go there and shoot hoops

- 1:06:37Speaker 1: It was the only reason I got that email last
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: night is because I was bugging them. Yeah, and there was.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: There were a bunch of emails. Again, make sure nobody
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: tells Menace, because what is going to tell him on
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: the show?
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: Oh yeah, weekend or two two nights?
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: I don't know, maybe a Tuesday and a Wednesday. We'll say, oh,
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: why did they give that up on a weekend? And
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: and it's free, like they're they're letting.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: Me say there, that's incredible Menace years. There are two
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: things on this list that he has had on there
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: for years, and one.
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: Of which is the first class flight on Emirates to
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: Dubai happening, Yeah, happening.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: This seems to be the most successful both man. And
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: then the other one is the hardwood sweet And again,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: his his ask was small. It was just to see
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: it and shoot hoops for a couple of minutes and
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: then I mean, not that he's a big basketball player,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: but you know, it's it's the idea of how close
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: I'm checking that off. Wow, Now, the one on here,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: I don't think we're gonna get to is get knighted
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: in the arts.
- 1:07:40Speaker 5: You never know.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: In Monica, they got Monica. All right, let's check in
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: with Gina grad She's got this morning trending news headlines.
- 1:07:54Speaker 5: Well, Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: of President Trump's Ceespire deal for Gaza. Is government will
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: meet today and if it formally gets approved, then the
- 1:08:04Speaker 5: ceasefire goes into effect. The agreement would free all the
- 1:08:07Speaker 5: Israeli hostages and Palestinian prisoners. Israeli forces would withdraw from
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: parts of Gaza and help with the entry for more aid.
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: The US says all of the remaining Israeli hostages would
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: be released on Monday. Now, is it possible that this
- 1:08:22Speaker 5: whole thing go sideways?
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Of course, dealing a bunch of nutshobs.
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: Oh yeah, because there's still a ton of things to
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: work out. But by all accounts, it's a big deal.
- 1:08:30Speaker 5: So fingers crossed. Well, the baseball postseason continued last night.
- 1:08:34Speaker 5: It was all about survival. The Phillies beat the Dodgers,
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: thanks in part to Kyle Schwarber's two home runs, one
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: of which probably still up there some That.
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: One home run was such a bomb my god. Yeah,
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: you're right, probably hasn't landed yet.
- 1:08:47Speaker 5: The Dodgers are still up two games to one and
- 1:08:49Speaker 5: have another chance to send Philadelphia pack in in game
- 1:08:52Speaker 5: four tonight.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Well, let's check on Tim Martinez. We want to find out.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: He'll be in later on this morning. You know, we'll
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: talk to him. But yeah, well check on Tim here.
- 1:09:00Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:09:01Speaker 21: Please.
- 1:09:01Speaker 5: The Cubs also fought back and held off the Brewers
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: to force a Game four in Detroit. The Tigers came
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: back from being down by three runs to win the
- 1:09:09Speaker 5: game nine to three. That series is now tied at
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: two games each, so it's a real do or die
- 1:09:14Speaker 5: Game five tomorrow and Seattle. And finally, congrats to the
- 1:09:17Speaker 5: Toronto Blue Jays. They picked off the Yankees last night
- 1:09:20Speaker 5: and are advancing to the American League Championship for the
- 1:09:23Speaker 5: first time in nine years. Well more info is coming
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: out since the arrest of the guy cop says responsible
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: for setting the wildfire that burned down the Pacific Palisades.
- 1:09:34Speaker 5: According to the investigation, this twenty nine year old from
- 1:09:36Speaker 5: Florida set a small fire near a trail and he
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: stood there and he watched it burn for a bit.
- 1:09:41Speaker 5: Then he called nine one one and watched from a
- 1:09:43Speaker 5: distance as firefighters put out his fire. Well, the fire
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: wasn't completely out and smoldered underground for a week before
- 1:09:51Speaker 5: wins picked up the embers and ignited the whole thing.
- 1:09:54Speaker 5: This a hole denied that he was in the area
- 1:09:56Speaker 5: when the fire first started, but cell phone data pinned
- 1:09:59Speaker 5: his location at exactly where the fire began.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: So okay, I'm just thinking from an investigation standpoint, like,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: how do you figure this out?
- 1:10:06Speaker 14: Right?
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: So crazy?
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: They do all the investigation, these fire investigators, they're very
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: good at figuring out, Okay, well this is the spot
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: where it started.
- 1:10:13Speaker 5: Okay, even that, that's insane.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: How they can even figure that Outka's so cool. So
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: they get to that, and then I'm guessing it's just
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: they they pull all the cell phone records to see
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: who was pinged in that area, Yeah, to see like
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: what cell phones pinged right there at that time, And
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: then they go from there to see who that belongs to?
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: It right between cell phones and DNA. It's like, we'll
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: catch you, don't worry.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:10:35Speaker 7: Aparently he said he tried to call nine one one,
- 1:10:37Speaker 7: didn't get a signal, so then he drove to get
- 1:10:40Speaker 7: help or something like that.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: He's a hero. Then he saw the fire trucks and
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: took off.
- 1:10:44Speaker 17: He was like, whoops.
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: See well.
- 1:10:45Speaker 5: Authorities also say that the guy asked chat GBT whether
- 1:10:48Speaker 5: or not he'd be at fault for a fire because
- 1:10:50Speaker 5: of a lit cigarette. In all, twelve people died, almost
- 1:10:53Speaker 5: seven thousand structures destroyed by the way, fifty five hundred
- 1:10:56Speaker 5: of those being people's homes. If convicted the mac sentence.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: I saw this, yeah, yeah, so well it carries like
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: a mandatory five. Right, so mandatory five in federal pull
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: your heels for five to a maximum of twenty years.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: That's twelve people that died, exactly.
- 1:11:16Speaker 8: Well.
- 1:11:16Speaker 5: We have an update on Dolly Parton. According to the
- 1:11:19Speaker 5: Queen herself, Thank god, she's doing just fine.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: It has been so oh my, I've been worried about Gina.
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: Yeah, I've been distraught because I've been preparing for this
- 1:11:28Speaker 5: day for a long time and I'm still not prepared,
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: but a few days ago, Dolly's sister Frieda had gotten
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: on social media started asking fans for prayers for her
- 1:11:36Speaker 5: sister's health. Well, that caused all of us fans to
- 1:11:38Speaker 5: break out, thinking that Dolly was your death.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: How did you become such a big Dolly Partner?
- 1:11:44Speaker 5: No, because no one in my family listens to country music.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: Everybody likes Dolly Partner.
- 1:11:47Speaker 12: One.
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: Have you ever met somebody who I don't like Dolly Partner? No,
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: that's crazy likes her, but you have like a hardcore fan.
- 1:11:54Speaker 5: I've loved her since high school and I don't know why,
- 1:11:57Speaker 5: because I don't really know anyone else who was into her.
- 1:11:59Speaker 5: And it was ironic.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: I was.
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: I love her music, and I'm glad she's as popular.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: So it's the music.
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: It wasn't her as a person's like personality. In fact,
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: in college, that wasn't what started it. And then you
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: heard the music.
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: I love her vibe. I love that she loses Dolly
- 1:12:15Speaker 5: Partner impersonator contest to drag quens.
- 1:12:18Speaker 6: But the music is personally, I can tell you, yeah,
- 1:12:21Speaker 6: I've always loved her because the way that she's conducted
- 1:12:23Speaker 6: herself and in business and in personal relationships.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: She's never been.
- 1:12:27Speaker 6: Apologetic about anything. People have always like ripped on her,
- 1:12:31Speaker 6: and she her responses have always been really good and
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: not mean. She's like, ah, if you don't like me,
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: you don't like any type of response. Also, in business,
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: she's never forgotten like who has helped her along the way.
- 1:12:42Speaker 6: And she got a really big break in television and
- 1:12:46Speaker 6: the guy from another country singer, and then that guy
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: was on hard times, so she went and like bought
- 1:12:51Speaker 6: all his old music and then just gave it back
- 1:12:53Speaker 6: to him for free.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: That's the kind of stuff that she she does.
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: So that's why I have you were when the last
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: time you ever met somebody I don't like Dolly Barton,
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: You doesn't.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: She didn't.
- 1:13:04Speaker 5: She fund the research for Maderna for uh one of
- 1:13:07Speaker 5: the coming back she's she's amazing, and yeah.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: She appreciates that. Much's okay. And this is the statement
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: that she released.
- 1:13:14Speaker 13: I want you to know that I'm okay.
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: I've got some problems.
- 1:13:18Speaker 13: As I mentioned back when my husband Carl was very sick,
- 1:13:22Speaker 13: I didn't take care of myself. So I let a
- 1:13:24Speaker 13: lot of things go that I should have been taken
- 1:13:26Speaker 13: care of. Nothing major, but I did have to cancel
- 1:13:30Speaker 13: some things so I could be closer to home, closer
- 1:13:33Speaker 13: to Vanderbilt. There are just a lot of rumors flying around,
- 1:13:36Speaker 13: but I figured if you heard it from me, you'd
- 1:13:39Speaker 13: know that I was Okay.
- 1:13:44Speaker 5: Yeah, I will now. I saw someone said that that
- 1:13:46Speaker 5: it was kidney stones, which I now know are very
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: painful because menace you have. But I'm not. But I'm
- 1:13:52Speaker 5: not sure because I'm not Dolly's sister.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: And the other thing about her that rules as a celebrity.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: She doesn't get political.
- 1:13:58Speaker 5: She won't talk about poor religions. And when a million
- 1:14:02Speaker 5: years ago Barbara Walters was taken a job at her
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: about the way she dresses, She's like, look, if I'm
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: going to be the punchline, I'd rather be the one
- 1:14:09Speaker 5: making the joke. So she's just she's amazing. Well, Bill
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: Belichick's time at UNC has not been great, and now
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: reports are coming out that the two sides are working
- 1:14:17Speaker 5: on a potential exit strategy. So, according to a bunch
- 1:14:21Speaker 5: of reports, yeah, the two sides met. The two sides
- 1:14:24Speaker 5: met this week, and Belichick is willing to possibly trigger
- 1:14:27Speaker 5: his million dollar buyout if he can find another team
- 1:14:30Speaker 5: or a job in the media one report also says
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: that it's not a lock that Belichick even makes it
- 1:14:34Speaker 5: to the end of the season, let alone the next
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: few games. However, once word started getting around, that's when
- 1:14:40Speaker 5: Bill and UNC both put out a one sentence statement
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: saying they're committed to each other and that Belichick has
- 1:14:46Speaker 5: the support of the athletic department.
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: That's usually the email that comes out right before they
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: make the announcement that all the other stuff was.
- 1:14:52Speaker 6: Acute everybody, Charlotte and the God was just talking about
- 1:14:56Speaker 6: that because who was the guy that was running for
- 1:15:00Speaker 6: New York mayor Oquoma quote, no, no, no, the other guy,
- 1:15:03Speaker 6: Eric Adams. Yeah, Eric Adams was on his show and
- 1:15:06Speaker 6: he like asked him five times, are you quitting?
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: Are you quitting? He's like, no, I'm committed, uncommitted yea.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: And four days later, Yeah, I just told you the
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: story about when I flew to that city to go
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: meet with the radio station and I asked them about
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: how committed they because you know, you heard and you
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: know with what they gave me an offer, and within
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: two weeks the station was sold. The format was flipped
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: your life. Yeah, like, thank god I hadn't passed on
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: the job. But just if someone's saying I get it
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: where you can't say something, but then don't build interview
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: in that time or don't.
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: The higher interview. Well, big update on all ten inmates
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: who escape from a New Orleans jail in May. They're
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: all now back in custody after the last fugitive was
- 1:15:52Speaker 5: found hiding in a basement crawl space in Atlanta. Cop
- 1:15:55Speaker 5: spent hours searching before a canine unit sniffed him out.
- 1:15:58Speaker 5: This last guy was convince did of a double murder
- 1:16:00Speaker 5: at a block party and was serving a life sentence
- 1:16:03Speaker 5: when he had nine others escaped through a hole behind
- 1:16:05Speaker 5: a toilet very shoshank then scaled fences and barbed wire
- 1:16:09Speaker 5: to their freedom. Well, most of the escapees were caught
- 1:16:11Speaker 5: within weeks. This last dude managed to stay hidden for
- 1:16:14Speaker 5: a long time.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: That was wild.
- 1:16:16Speaker 5: Yeah, Tip finally tipped off the authorities. Cops say a
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: bunch of people probably helped him and they could face
- 1:16:22Speaker 5: charges now. When this last dude was arrested, he was unarmed,
- 1:16:25Speaker 5: shirtless and smiling as he.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: Won the game. He was the last person standing right.
- 1:16:31Speaker 5: They found a gun and drugs in the house. He's
- 1:16:32Speaker 5: now being held in Atlanta and he's awaiting extradition back
- 1:16:35Speaker 5: to Louisiana.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: I want what he did the watching movies or something.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah, at some point you know you're going back, right, Yeah, like,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: at some point you're get caught. You'll slip up. I mean,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: if it's life, Yeah, make the most of it while
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: you're out.
- 1:16:50Speaker 9: I know.
- 1:16:50Speaker 6: It's kind of like, dude that I'm telling you. People
- 1:16:52Speaker 6: should watch it this weekend. The movie Roofman a true
- 1:16:56Speaker 6: story of the guy that he got out. He escaped
- 1:16:59Speaker 6: from jail and then he started living in a toys
- 1:17:01Speaker 6: r a circus city, and he lived off He lived
- 1:17:03Speaker 6: off Peena M and M's Lucky.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it was pretty cool.
- 1:17:07Speaker 5: Well, speaking of jail, cops in Florida were booking a
- 1:17:10Speaker 5: fifty one year old guy into jail and they put
- 1:17:12Speaker 5: him through an X ray and realized he had stuffed
- 1:17:15Speaker 5: a full size thermos up his ass.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: Yeah. Here, look at the look at the X ray?
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: Whoa at that?
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: Look at that thing?
- 1:17:23Speaker 5: Who they say, it's the biggest item they've ever seen.
- 1:17:27Speaker 5: Some almost every Friday night to take the thermost. Now
- 1:17:34Speaker 5: he's the only guy who knows what I'm going through.
- 1:17:36Speaker 5: Here's one of everyone's favorite SoundBite machines.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: We love this guy.
- 1:17:41Speaker 5: This is Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd talking about it.
- 1:17:45Speaker 8: So we put everybody through a body scanner to make
- 1:17:48Speaker 8: sure that they're not trying to bring guns and knives
- 1:17:51Speaker 8: and drugs into the jail. Well, you might have thought
- 1:17:54Speaker 8: Walter was bringing drugs into the jail. He brought a
- 1:17:59Speaker 8: thermost into the he put it up the exit ramp.
- 1:18:02Speaker 8: He said, well, I put that inside my body twenty
- 1:18:05Speaker 8: four hours earlier, the deputy saved his life.
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Yeah, right, Really, was there anything inside it?
- 1:18:11Speaker 5: You're like a hot coffee or some soup?
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: Yeah, got to be would you put the thermist up there?
- 1:18:17Speaker 5: Well, when the cops arrested him, he was naked and
- 1:18:20Speaker 5: hiding in a public bathroom. He also threatened to kill
- 1:18:22Speaker 5: one of them. But physically, hey, we all have bad days.
- 1:18:25Speaker 5: I'm sure this is just the first time he's ever
- 1:18:27Speaker 5: been in trouble. Oh wait, his rap sheet is crazy long,
- 1:18:31Speaker 5: with twenty five other arrest five stints in prison, and
- 1:18:35Speaker 5: this one will be twenty six.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: And I was about to say, Sea Bass, how is
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: it physically possible? I mean, you've seen witness this live. Yes,
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: somebody who had a fifted them.
- 1:18:46Speaker 5: What would Morgan do for money? Right all the way
- 1:18:48Speaker 5: to the elbow, And that's what's going on whenning all.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: Right, thank you very much, appreciate that. What's the biggest
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: thing you think you can get up there? I mean
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: not a thermist?
- 1:18:56Speaker 5: No, and there's it's not even shaped well for that
- 1:18:59Speaker 5: exactly right.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's like, yeah, that'd be a process. Yeah,
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: I don't know, laptop or something probably, Yeah.
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: I told this story scissors the one time we're like
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: hemorrhid situation was going on and I bought one of
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: those like uh, preparation age repository things and like that
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: was like my body did not want to accept it,
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: like no, no, no, I'm trying to relax. I have
- 1:19:27Speaker 3: like foot up on the ledge of the bathtub, like
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: trying to like you know, you couldn't open up my
- 1:19:31Speaker 3: ass a little bit so I can push this thing
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: in there. Nothing nothing, nothing, and finally like got it.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: But it was a process and that thing is yeah,
- 1:19:40Speaker 3: I mean you know how big those things they're not big,
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: they're not big bullet.
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like it just it just wasn't happening. Yeah,
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: it says now.
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: I remember listening to the love Line back in the day,
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: and there would be these women that would call in
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: and talk about how they were trying to have intercourse
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: with their boyfriend or their husband or whatever, but like
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: their their vagina just wouldn't accept them, like it would
- 1:20:03Speaker 3: basically just like.
- 1:20:05Speaker 5: Shut and you know, like some kind of don't you
- 1:20:08Speaker 5: know you're with the wrong guy?
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: Is that a muscle disorder or God made paupers?
- 1:20:12Speaker 11: Right?
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right? Hell yeah? Is it just from nerves?
- 1:20:15Speaker 5: I don't know what would I think that's your subconscious
- 1:20:18Speaker 5: telling you this?
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Well, no, in that situation. But like even for mind's
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: like you take dumps all the time that are way
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: bigger than the exactly, then the suppository gets psychological yeah,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: psychological yeah right, and then your body just doesn't.
- 1:20:31Speaker 5: We should get you hypnotized to accept larger things.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: So what's the biggest thing you can put in your
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: ask folks? I hit us up on the text over
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: to two to eight seven.
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: A bit.
- 1:20:43Speaker 22: He puts the G in Garcia SoCal. Sports. You know
- 1:20:52Speaker 22: you're texting more than my wife and I do these days.
- 1:20:54Speaker 5: Oh yeah, sports stuff going stuff.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: Yeah, you just so cool man.
- 1:21:00Speaker 21: Good morning, Jeff G Goodboddy what are you good morning, squad.
- 1:21:02Speaker 21: Let's go and start with our Dodgers. A rough pitching
- 1:21:04Speaker 21: night and a poor hitting night for our Dodgers. They
- 1:21:07Speaker 21: lost to the Phillies last night eight two. Yamamoto didn't
- 1:21:10Speaker 21: have his best stuff. Neither did Clayton Kershaw. Let's go
- 1:21:13Speaker 21: ahead and hear from Kersh. It was a tough yeah,
- 1:21:15Speaker 21: tough cup mornings. Yeah, I shoudn't make enough good pictures.
- 1:21:17Speaker 21: I was battling command.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I just wasn't find Yeah.
- 1:21:19Speaker 21: I wouldn't let Kershaw come back out.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: He barely escaped the inning before. I thought.
- 1:21:23Speaker 21: That was a mistake by Dave Roberts that let the
- 1:21:25Speaker 21: game get out of hand. Also, the lack of hitting
- 1:21:28Speaker 21: from Otani and Freddie Freeman has been a problem as well.
- 1:21:31Speaker 21: With all these issues, though, the Dodgers are still up
- 1:21:33Speaker 21: to one in the series. Lots of pressure on the
- 1:21:36Speaker 21: Dodgers now, especially because the Phillies bats are hooking up.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: Let's go ahead and hear from Mookie Betts. Obviously there's
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: a lot of pressure on us to play the game.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: But you know that's the pre pressure is a privilege.
- 1:21:47Speaker 21: It's see how the Dodgers handle that pressure today. Early
- 1:21:49Speaker 21: start time three to oh eight, Phillies throwing their aceh
- 1:21:52Speaker 21: Christopher Sanchez versus Tyler Glass.
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: Now moving on to the.
- 1:21:55Speaker 21: NHL Kings beat the Golden Knights in the shootout, Ducks
- 1:21:58Speaker 21: and cracking tonight and felt there's day night football Eagles
- 1:22:01Speaker 21: in New York taken on the Giants, and finally this morning.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: Lebron James is being.
- 1:22:06Speaker 21: Sued by a Lakers fan for his fake decision to announcement,
- 1:22:10Speaker 21: which turned out to be a commercial. In the lawsuit,
- 1:22:12Speaker 21: the fan says Lebron was misleading and made it look
- 1:22:14Speaker 21: like he was retiring, which in turn made the fan
- 1:22:17Speaker 21: pay a crazy amount of money for tickets to the
- 1:22:19Speaker 21: Lakers final home game. This is a case of dumb
- 1:22:22Speaker 21: and dumber, right, Lebron was dumb for making that lay
- 1:22:24Speaker 21: mad and the fan was dumber for believing it and
- 1:22:27Speaker 21: then spending his money on the final Lakers home game.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: Good luck to both of y'all in court. You can't
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: make this stuff up, man. I'm JEFFG. And that's you
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: so cal sports all right, Jeff j.
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: I know feels amazing.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: Thank you for a couple follow up texts to some
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: things that you can cover here on the show over
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: to two two nine eight seven. I asked, as a joke, Hey,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: what do you think that you can get up your
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: own ass? We had that story.
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: Uh, the guy in Florida, they were checking him into
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: the jail and it turns out he had a whole,
- 1:23:07Speaker 3: like a full sized thermos that he had shoved up
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: his back door.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: Yeah, like.
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: It's like one of those you see on a job site. Yeah,
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: he could in the circus. Yeah, pretty crazy. Next thing,
- 1:23:22Speaker 3: you know, people have been sending us texts about different things.
- 1:23:24Speaker 3: This person said, I stashed an old Nokia phone in
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: my prison wallet when I was in jail because we
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: thought that our dorm was gonna get searched, and they
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: end up doing the searching the dorms door to just
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: jammed the thing in there.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: And yeah, so what what were you? What were you
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: in for it? Yeah? Yeah? And this one? Hi, my
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: name is uh?
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: Is it?
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: How would you say that? Ka? I a kaya Kaya?
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: All right, so Hi, I'm Kaya. Your conversation is hilarious.
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: It's all about breathing. The more you breathe, the more
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: relaxed your anus will become. Also, uh, you really want
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: to if you really want to start putting things up there.
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: You need to start small and use lube. Have a
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: great day, you guys, Kaya has a little experience. You
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: work your way up to thermis. Yeah, they're having dinner.
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: I wonder you know what about this table leg? Do
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: you think that thing would go? But let's start with
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: a finger nine.
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: Seven two texting over to two two nine eighty seven
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: and we'll follow up from brag. Like Sea Bass, I
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: wanted to brag but didn't get to call it in time.
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: I own my own cookie business, making cookies that are
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: infused with alcohol, and Patrick Mahomes reached out and it's
- 1:24:38Speaker 3: interested in investing in my business.
- 1:24:41Speaker 5: Okay, big brag.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: That's pretty cool. That's Patrick Mahomes. That'd be, that'd be,
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: that's that's a great partner show.
- 1:24:48Speaker 5: And I'm usually not like an alcohol dessert person, but
- 1:24:51Speaker 5: that could actually be really good. And we gave ours
- 1:24:53Speaker 5: and then you didn't give yours. Do you have a
- 1:24:56Speaker 5: brag like Sea Bass?
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: Okay, well I mean it's it's all about the people. Okay,
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: so it's all about the flying stuff.
- 1:25:04Speaker 3: But to hear it, yeah, so I think I have
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: there's a target date for they called a check ride,
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: which is like your final exam to get your license,
- 1:25:13Speaker 3: like when you go for your driving test, except that
- 1:25:15Speaker 3: your flying test, right, So it looks like that's going
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: to happen in mid November.
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: Oh it's I could be a licensed pilot by mid November.
- 1:25:24Speaker 5: That this has gone is insane.
- 1:25:26Speaker 3: So you say speed, but like, there's not many people
- 1:25:29Speaker 3: that have as many hours as I do flying getting
- 1:25:33Speaker 3: their licenses must are way less.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: No, it's way less.
- 1:25:36Speaker 3: Like it's because I had that delay with that medical
- 1:25:38Speaker 3: certificate thing that I was flying five or six days
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: a week. I'm flying and to have one hundred and
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: forty plus hours you only need forty to get legally,
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: you only need forty.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: Hours in order to get your license. Yeah, I have
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: one hundred and forty.
- 1:25:53Speaker 16: Actually, nervous, it's not enough.
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: Well, I mean think about you give licenses to people
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: who have barely ever driven a car.
- 1:26:00Speaker 5: That's that's how you learn.
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: Yeah, how far do you have to fly on a test?
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: It's just basically to show you could do certain things.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: You're only up there for me.
- 1:26:08Speaker 3: Maybe maybe there's a lot of stuff you got to
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: do when it's within like some a lot of like
- 1:26:12Speaker 3: very strict limitations.
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: Do they doing you for speeding. Well, yeah, I mean
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: there are there are speed limits really for certain.
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: For certain things.
- 1:26:21Speaker 4: Do you get a ticket when you can give.
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: The tower the tower can give you a number, like hey,
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna give you number to call, and you're screwed.
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: There are speed limits in the sky.
- 1:26:30Speaker 3: For yeah, in certain areas and certain things, like in
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: certain stages of of the of the fly with the
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: approach to an airport or.
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: Right. No, that's different. That's there's like a you know,
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: a speed you know, because they're trying to keep people,
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: you know, apart.
- 1:26:44Speaker 4: And what happens if you fly over and no fly zone,
- 1:26:48Speaker 4: they will come in.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: I was supposed to go do that with that air show.
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: They will.
- 1:26:51Speaker 3: They will depending on what it is and what kind
- 1:26:53Speaker 3: of no flies on it, like, they will they'll send
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: fighter just to go intercept you. And next thing, you know,
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: like you're putting along in your little gin all aviation
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: plane and all of a sudden there's like sixteen, Hey man,
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: what are you doing? Yeah, speaking of planes? Okay, this
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: is this is okay, I'll use this as the official one. Uh,
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: I'll use this as an next Friday. I'm not going
- 1:27:13Speaker 3: to be here. Everybody else is going to do the show.
- 1:27:16Speaker 3: I will not be here because I am going to
- 1:27:18Speaker 3: pick up my plane. I told I told you guys
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: that I got a plane. I bought a plane and
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: it's done and it's ready for delivery. And I'm going
- 1:27:28Speaker 3: to UH to Knoxville next Friday to go get it.
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: And yeah, and then and then fly back. I'm so excited.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: What official colors did you go with? I forgot. It's
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: called Titan and it's like a silver.
- 1:27:41Speaker 5: Like like a gun.
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:27:45Speaker 5: Yeah, it's not black and yellow.
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: No, it's not black and yellow. It is the plane
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: made in the USA. Yeah, it's made in de Luthe.
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: This is America CRUs cyrus.
- 1:27:55Speaker 20: Uh.
- 1:27:55Speaker 3: Yeah, And I buy a jet, guys. It's a it's
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: a it's a single you know, prop pissed in an engine.
- 1:28:01Speaker 3: It's a it's a general aviation plane. But I mean
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: it's a nice plane. It's a cool plane. Those serious
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: planes are really cool. The ones that get the parachute.
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: This one has that auto land feature.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: Cool.
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: So if you're flying this is this Greg as a
- 1:28:11Speaker 3: nervous flyer. Not only does the plane have a parachute,
- 1:28:14Speaker 3: but it has a system where like if I become incapacitated.
- 1:28:17Speaker 3: I finally had that heart attack that I'll have at
- 1:28:19Speaker 3: some point, And it just happens to be when you
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: and I are flying and.
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: You finally have that heart attackinly.
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: A hearttack, there's a there's a button in the ceiling
- 1:28:28Speaker 3: of the plane that you push, and this plane that
- 1:28:31Speaker 3: I'm getting will automatically identify the closest appropriate airport. We'll
- 1:28:36Speaker 3: look at all the weather conditions, set a course, navigate
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: to that airport, and land itself at the airport while
- 1:28:42Speaker 3: doing all the traffic air traffic control communications.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: In the future, it'll it'll be.
- 1:28:47Speaker 3: Letting the emergency authorities know so like. And then when
- 1:28:50Speaker 3: you when it lands on the runway, it comes to
- 1:28:52Speaker 3: a stop, it shuts the engine off and gives you
- 1:28:54Speaker 3: step by step instructions for the passages get how to
- 1:28:56Speaker 3: get out of the plane.
- 1:28:58Speaker 6: We were hanging out with our best friend Jay Lennow
- 1:29:01Speaker 6: really family experienced that. He they got to hit the
- 1:29:04Speaker 6: button and he was just blown away how cool it was.
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: Right, And we didn't have the heart to tell him Jay,
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: we already knew that. But jacket how it works. I mean,
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: we'll listen to you totally.
- 1:29:13Speaker 5: Yeah, how I know the answer is going to be
- 1:29:15Speaker 5: one hundred percent and zero percent. But how excited versus nervous?
- 1:29:19Speaker 8: Are you?
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: Zero nerves? I'm completely excited.
- 1:29:22Speaker 5: That's awesome.
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: It's pure excitement. Is something I wanted to do.
- 1:29:26Speaker 3: I don't know, it's it's it's just a flying it's
- 1:29:28Speaker 3: it's it's something I've wanted to do my entire life.
- 1:29:31Speaker 3: And the fact that I actually think about the smoker
- 1:29:34Speaker 3: never could even make that happen or wanted to see
- 1:29:36Speaker 3: Oppenheimer didn't.
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: Make that happen. There's all these things. I always say,
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: simple things, simple things, and then it's cool. That's that's
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: that's my break.
- 1:29:44Speaker 5: Will you take us up? Yeah, of course, of course
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: Greg wants to go first.
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to thing. I'm getting to the iHeartRadio
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: Music Festival from now on, exactly right. Well, congratulations, thank you,
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: thank you. Yeah I got yeah.
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: I didn't.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: I didn't give a brag. We were doing Breakwake Sea bats.
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: I didn't give one.
- 1:30:02Speaker 5: Well, this is a good one.
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: It's when you're hosting a party and you forget to eat.
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: Did you eat? Make sure everybody has a drink, and
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: make sure they got their food, and most people at
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: their own weddings. Don't eat.
- 1:30:13Speaker 3: It's cool, all right, We're gonna take a quick break.
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: We got some more woody show for you next.
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: Hang on, so what do you show? Blue Woody Show?
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: And as we move right along this morning, the next
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: thing to do would be to check in with the
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: Sea bats here and see what's happening the weekend audio.
- 1:30:32Speaker 18: Well, I've been alerted to a new Golden Bachelorette. We're
- 1:30:35Speaker 18: in the middle of a Golden Bachelor right now and
- 1:30:37Speaker 18: the what do you show Golden Bachelor at as well?
- 1:30:40Speaker 18: But did you know there's already been a preliminary announcement,
- 1:30:44Speaker 18: preliminary announcement of who the next female old lady single
- 1:30:49Speaker 18: person will be. And I think what he's going to
- 1:30:51Speaker 18: be very excited by this.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: Sexty four single on sexy.
- 1:30:55Speaker 5: So I would like to be the next Golden Bachelorette
- 1:31:00Speaker 5: voice woodie?
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: Is that what's your name? Today's show? Kathy Lee?
- 1:31:06Speaker 5: It sounds like Kathy.
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: Oh God, damn it herself?
- 1:31:12Speaker 5: The next can you imagine the guy's clamoring.
- 1:31:18Speaker 7: Yuck like fear factor instead of it? But you have
- 1:31:25Speaker 7: to go on a date with her or put eight
- 1:31:27Speaker 7: hundred scorpions on your face.
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: For a minute. Oh dude, yuck. So she's not going
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: to be the gold.
- 1:31:41Speaker 5: That was her pitching it.
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: So he just pitching it.
- 1:31:43Speaker 5: Okay, sound like celebrity millionaire.
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, they're like, no, this is a TV show.
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: People are gonna have to see. It's a visual it's
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: a visual medium. We can't have that. This weekend audio.
- 1:31:57Speaker 5: Greg Ryan Murphy show.
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: Are you aware of All's Fair? All Fair? From Ryan Murphy?
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: I've never even heard of it. I finished Monster that
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: Ed Greene story.
- 1:32:10Speaker 5: It's a legal it's a legal drama. And here's the trailer.
- 1:32:12Speaker 5: You might recognize this one of these voices.
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: It's just a trap.
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: Guess who's here with me right now?
- 1:32:19Speaker 5: Jay, say bye bye to your future ex wife, Bye bye,
- 1:32:23Speaker 5: see you in court.
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: Tour discarded This letter on fire is Kim Rissarah Paulson
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: and Kim kardash He did some American horror stories, not story,
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: but I think it was stories. I've gotta say. I
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: thought she was pretty good.
- 1:32:44Speaker 15: Lady Gagabody, Greg, Wow, Lady Gaga can't act to save
- 1:32:52Speaker 15: her life.
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: But Kim Kardashian surprisingly good.
- 1:32:55Speaker 5: And a real life attorney.
- 1:32:56Speaker 18: Now yeah, true, Yeah, yes, she's not bad. Okay, So
- 1:32:59Speaker 18: Ryan Murphy, all's fair.
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: Okay, I gotta find that this week.
- 1:33:03Speaker 18: And audio another thing for Greg again guess the name here,
- 1:33:06Speaker 18: But this is a person talking about love and how
- 1:33:09Speaker 18: when you find the one, how special it is to
- 1:33:12Speaker 18: have your best friend in your life all the time.
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: Greg, you do like romance and you love that kind
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: of sentiment. Oh my god, you can take it to my.
- 1:33:19Speaker 16: Favorite person I've ever met.
- 1:33:20Speaker 17: No offense to everyone else, but the fact that the
- 1:33:23Speaker 17: fact that this is the person that I get to
- 1:33:26Speaker 17: hang out with every day forever is just like.
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: That's the whole thing of it.
- 1:33:30Speaker 17: You look at that and you're like, I didn't hang
- 1:33:31Speaker 17: out with him forever, and this represents.
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: That Greg's out an ababe of course, Okay, of course
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: is it? I can only guess Taylor sweat all right? Greg?
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: I mean I like that was a wild guess from Greg.
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: Like he was not confident.
- 1:33:44Speaker 7: And that's why I hate when people have a kid
- 1:33:47Speaker 7: and they go, I never knew what love was until
- 1:33:49Speaker 7: I had a baby. So you didn't get married, you
- 1:33:52Speaker 7: didn't love your life, you didn't know what.
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: Stop with the hyper I think it's because it's a
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: different it's a different kind of that you've never experienced. Right,
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: we'll then specify a show, and right.
- 1:34:08Speaker 3: Before the break, as we're going through some of this
- 1:34:10Speaker 3: week in audio, one of the clips got the conversation
- 1:34:14Speaker 3: going where you know, Greg was talking about how he
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: has that whole thing with people. Yeah, like Taylor Swift
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: is talking to Jimmy Fallon about her love with Travis Kelcey.
- 1:34:24Speaker 5: It says, he's just my favorite person I've ever met.
- 1:34:27Speaker 17: No offense to everyone else, but the fact that the
- 1:34:30Speaker 17: fact that this is the person that I get to
- 1:34:32Speaker 17: hang out with every day forever.
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: Is just like, that's the whole thing of it.
- 1:34:36Speaker 17: You look at that and you're like, I didn't hang
- 1:34:38Speaker 17: out with him forever and this represents that.
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: Yeah, and so Greg's point was, Okay, so so she
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: loves him. She loves him. And to all the people
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: who say, oh, well, I never knew they really loved
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: was a baby, yeah, I hate that.
- 1:34:50Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 1:34:52Speaker 3: We got a text eight one eight for Greg. I
- 1:34:54Speaker 3: never believed in love at first sight until I saw
- 1:34:57Speaker 3: my son.
- 1:34:58Speaker 5: Oh babe, I mean.
- 1:35:00Speaker 7: That's kind of fair like love it first sight is
- 1:35:03Speaker 7: different than just loving your spouse. But again, I think,
- 1:35:07Speaker 7: but at the first sight of a newborn baby like
- 1:35:12Speaker 7: that has never been uglier.
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: But I also think I think we're just talking about
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: a different type of love. It's a love that you've
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: never needs to be changed, that you've never experienced. I
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: think that's what they mean when they say I'm gonna
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: die on this hill. Yeah, the entire expression that made
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: it change. This week in audio, what else got for
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: news for you?
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: Whatdy?
- 1:35:35Speaker 18: You missed another dust up on a Spirit flight. Now
- 1:35:39Speaker 18: this one was flying into Baltimore, So that's probably.
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: Why wow Baltimore on That makes sense.
- 1:35:43Speaker 18: So this lady, she was, you know, midway through the
- 1:35:45Speaker 18: plane and for whatever reason, her daughter was seated a
- 1:35:48Speaker 18: few rows behind her. Now they both survived the flight,
- 1:35:51Speaker 18: they both landed. But this lady, who's large enough to
- 1:35:54Speaker 18: block the aisle, decided that she wasn't gonna let anyone
- 1:35:58Speaker 18: else in the past, the past, like the twenty five
- 1:36:01Speaker 18: rows get off the plane until they let her go
- 1:36:04Speaker 18: back to get off with her daughter.
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: What even though she'd be like what three people ahead
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: of her?
- 1:36:09Speaker 12: Right?
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: Or just wait till your daughter is ready to Depah? No, no,
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: no mention.
- 1:36:14Speaker 18: Now like special needs again, they flew separately, they figured
- 1:36:17Speaker 18: out how to get there.
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, because I thought it would be a situation,
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: because this happens a lot on the planes where people
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: they put their bags in the back and they're trying
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: to like thrush their way through to the back. Yeah,
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: while people are trying to leave the way. I'll tell
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: you how to wait.
- 1:36:31Speaker 5: I want to suck my own family. Oh my god,
- 1:36:34Speaker 5: but my mom she.
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: Would always suck your mama.
- 1:36:38Speaker 5: She would always.
- 1:36:39Speaker 18: Major all of us sit down and wait because she
- 1:36:41Speaker 18: knew that her and two, three, four kids would be
- 1:36:44Speaker 18: a big pain in the butt for everyone else. So
- 1:36:45Speaker 18: we always sat and wait for the rest of the
- 1:36:47Speaker 18: plane to a plane.
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: Yeah, see another example of how SeaBASS and his family
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: are just better than every ever watchful people. Okay, so
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: this is because there was kids.
- 1:36:54Speaker 4: You can still go.
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: People can wait, right exactly. Well that not according to
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: this lady.
- 1:36:57Speaker 18: So she blocks again, the pat the back twenty rows
- 1:37:00Speaker 18: and they're all yelling at her, and she's yelling.
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: Back, by man, what is wrong with you? I would
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: hate no wonder if she's back.
- 1:37:16Speaker 2: Out.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: Okay, hey you hear there's an argument going on. No,
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: you should do, dude, make your announcement at that point, Yeah,
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: I trying to get good audio here, pilot.
- 1:37:31Speaker 18: So the mom as you could hear there at the end,
- 1:37:33Speaker 18: her argument is, I haven't said anything to you. Well,
- 1:37:35Speaker 18: you blocked the aisle. You're not letting people pass.
- 1:37:37Speaker 5: You talked with your movement.
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: Step to the side, let people walk by and tell
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: your daughter's there, and then walk together.
- 1:37:43Speaker 5: You figured out, you figured it out.
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: It's like you're a genius.
- 1:37:46Speaker 18: Well, because she's getting so much guff, she decides to
- 1:37:49Speaker 18: up the argument escalations.
- 1:37:56Speaker 19: Yeah, I'm sorry, you're all trying to get down, he said, excuse.
- 1:38:11Speaker 5: Me, and then she can come up.
- 1:38:14Speaker 20: Got out?
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: How do I never get that? Lucky?
- 1:38:19Speaker 16: Sounds like an episode of the Bear. Everyone's just yelling.
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: Reason.
- 1:38:22Speaker 3: Yeah, they're screaming for a good reason. Here there's a
- 1:38:25Speaker 3: guy you would hate it, Sea Bass. He on social media.
- 1:38:29Speaker 3: His thing is I guess he flies a lot, and
- 1:38:31Speaker 3: he always has a seat towards the back. And I
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: think now he's just doing on a purpose because he
- 1:38:35Speaker 3: makes all these uh social media videos. His whole thing
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: is like watch how quickly I can deep, I can
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: I can deplay, And so he's pushing through everybody on
- 1:38:47Speaker 3: the very back, like going around. People are making way
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: and excuse me, excuse me. And he's on the one
- 1:38:53Speaker 3: of these big ass planes that have like the live
- 1:38:55Speaker 3: flat seats in the first class. So there's there's multiple cabins,
- 1:38:58Speaker 3: there's two two mile first yeah, and so he's just
- 1:39:02Speaker 3: shoving his way just to see how far up to
- 1:39:04Speaker 3: the front he can get.
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: And he just does this on all the flights and
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: he posts the videos.
- 1:39:08Speaker 3: It's kind of the wall and people love it as
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: much as they loved your food touching videos more than Yeah.
- 1:39:14Speaker 18: I think that is the new term of rage bait.
- 1:39:16Speaker 18: I think that's that's what that sounds like. Excuse me,
- 1:39:19Speaker 18: Watch how fast I can get off this.
- 1:39:20Speaker 5: Plane, like mowing down everybody else.
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: This week in.
- 1:39:23Speaker 18: Audio, I got something that I say, Sammy's probably aware
- 1:39:26Speaker 18: of this, but people have found a new way to
- 1:39:28Speaker 18: waste money on dumb garbage and it is in the
- 1:39:30Speaker 18: form of something called the boo basket.
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: Well, yeah, okay, no, we are not aware. What do
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: you mean? Yes, maybe you and menasar What is a
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: boo basket? Go ahead, But it's it's basically like a
- 1:39:43Speaker 1: gift basket, but it's all Halloween themed, right, McDonald's McDonald.
- 1:39:50Speaker 4: Like everyone knows.
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, so Sammy.
- 1:39:54Speaker 18: The reason I thought you would know this is because
- 1:39:55Speaker 18: obviously it's a basic, basic lady thing, and so the
- 1:39:59Speaker 18: idea what he is like for Halloween. Adults want to
- 1:40:02Speaker 18: get in on the fund. And one way to do
- 1:40:04Speaker 18: that is to go, let's say to Michael's Greg, buy
- 1:40:07Speaker 18: a basket, throw a bunch of Halloween garbage. I'm there
- 1:40:10Speaker 18: and cakes right, and get it to your basic bitch friends.
- 1:40:13Speaker 18: See I knew it. I knew something else.
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: Called something else.
- 1:40:17Speaker 9: Oh yeah, it's called something else. When I was a kid,
- 1:40:19Speaker 9: it was called something else. It was called getting spooked.
- 1:40:23Speaker 9: And your friends, you know, your mom would take you
- 1:40:26Speaker 9: shopping or whatever, and you put a bunch of like
- 1:40:28Speaker 9: Halloween stuff in a little kind of bucket or whatever, basket,
- 1:40:32Speaker 9: pumpkin thing, and it just be different Halloween things. It
- 1:40:35Speaker 9: could be candies or other stuff, and and you don't
- 1:40:38Speaker 9: say who it is, so you have to try and
- 1:40:39Speaker 9: figure out.
- 1:40:39Speaker 16: Who spooked you.
- 1:40:40Speaker 4: And then once you get spooked, you spook someone else
- 1:40:42Speaker 4: and you get stuff and bring it.
- 1:40:43Speaker 2: To this.
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: Those friends secret for Halloween.
- 1:40:48Speaker 4: Even you're just dropping off at your door, suddenly you
- 1:40:50Speaker 4: open your door.
- 1:40:54Speaker 18: That's close to this, but it's not exactly this. This
- 1:40:55Speaker 18: is specifically designed for basic bitches. I'll tell you this
- 1:40:58Speaker 18: because I found it on TikTok and that's where they
- 1:41:00Speaker 18: all live. And this is a lady describing what's in
- 1:41:02Speaker 18: a This is a standard basic boo basket.
- 1:41:04Speaker 23: Okay, let me show you how to make every girl's
- 1:41:06Speaker 23: dream boo basket.
- 1:41:07Speaker 4: First, you're going to start off with a basket.
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: This one's from home.
- 1:41:09Speaker 2: Sound.
- 1:41:10Speaker 23: Some sort of plush blanket, something cozy to wear, either
- 1:41:12Speaker 23: a sweatsuit or pajamas, thugs or a neutral sneaker, a
- 1:41:15Speaker 23: water bottle for fumer, body mess, a candle, some cozy socks,
- 1:41:19Speaker 23: a fall mug, and their favorite lip products. Lastly, some
- 1:41:22Speaker 23: sort of stuffed animal. Bonus points to the jellycat.
- 1:41:27Speaker 4: So this is just like a gift basket at a party.
- 1:41:30Speaker 9: It sounds like she's having a sleepover party and everyone's
- 1:41:33Speaker 9: getting adult friends.
- 1:41:34Speaker 1: Yes, that's.
- 1:41:39Speaker 4: That exists, are going to crash.
- 1:41:42Speaker 5: At my place. I didn't know I had to get them.
- 1:41:43Speaker 4: Give you do, but some people do because they like
- 1:41:46Speaker 4: to blankets, a cozy mug.
- 1:41:51Speaker 3: It's one thing that friend stays over your house. But
- 1:41:53Speaker 3: you as an adult called a sleepover party.
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: I would hope not.
- 1:41:59Speaker 2: Real.
- 1:41:59Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, if you're to come and drink, and
- 1:42:02Speaker 9: we're gonna and you're gonna spend the night, and we're
- 1:42:04Speaker 9: going to start in our pajamas, because why are we
- 1:42:06Speaker 9: getting dressed.
- 1:42:07Speaker 4: We're not going anywhere. We're all sleeping here.
- 1:42:09Speaker 5: Don't get me wrong, seeing if I sleep over, I
- 1:42:11Speaker 5: would love a gift basket. But I didn't know this require.
- 1:42:15Speaker 4: That's not it's not required.
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: But people there's certain social media feeds where I see
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: this happening. Yeah, and then well, when I was a kid,
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: the gift basket, the boo basket, it was just like
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: a bunch of reeses and you never got that. Yeah,
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: but you can't get ripped off in so many ways.
- 1:42:30Speaker 16: Is there something for Halloween you can't.
- 1:42:32Speaker 18: Give candy to your girlfriend or your girlfriends? I should say,
- 1:42:35Speaker 18: because look get fat?
- 1:42:36Speaker 5: So, speaking of that sea bass, are you familiar with
- 1:42:38Speaker 5: the switch witch? I just heard about this a few
- 1:42:42Speaker 5: years ago. When parents don't want their kids to have candy,
- 1:42:45Speaker 5: they haul their you know, pillowcase full of candy home,
- 1:42:48Speaker 5: and then in the morning, the switch witch takes all
- 1:42:50Speaker 5: the candy and leaves you a little toy, so you
- 1:42:52Speaker 5: don't actually get to have any candy.
- 1:42:54Speaker 18: Actually, that does sound like something your about might My
- 1:42:57Speaker 18: mom was that sounds like Sammy's mom all.
- 1:43:02Speaker 5: But that you're not allowed to have that much candy.
- 1:43:04Speaker 5: So you get a toy and she takes all your candy.
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: That's awful, I know. Switch which, Hey, we're gonna bring
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: it down to the dentist's office.
- 1:43:12Speaker 18: Well, Greg, it's because boom baskets have become such a
- 1:43:15Speaker 18: thing on the almost of the tik tards that this
- 1:43:18Speaker 18: guy a boyfriend who claims to have a girlfriend. You'd
- 1:43:24Speaker 18: be the judge, Greg, it's just really for his girlfriend.
- 1:43:27Speaker 20: All right, let's make a boo basket for my girlfriend.
- 1:43:29Speaker 20: Our first things first is his basket. I got it
- 1:43:31Speaker 20: at Michael's. I tried finding a really big basket that
- 1:43:34Speaker 20: didn't look too generic, and I like the vible of
- 1:43:36Speaker 20: this one. He kind of gives off that fallow up.
- 1:43:37Speaker 20: So the first thing I'm gonna do is line some
- 1:43:39Speaker 20: of this basket with.
- 1:43:40Speaker 2: This caution tape.
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: Now we're going to put on the boat on the front.
- 1:43:43Speaker 20: Is the bowt I think it matches the vibe perfectly.
- 1:43:45Speaker 20: The last thing we gotta do before we add stuff
- 1:43:47Speaker 20: in the basket, is putting some spiderwebs inside?
- 1:43:50Speaker 18: All right, If you're buying baskets and decorating them with
- 1:43:53Speaker 18: bows for your girlfriend.
- 1:43:55Speaker 7: He's probably that sounds like something a teacher would do, true,
- 1:43:59Speaker 7: like a like a middle school teacher. But my gaitar
- 1:44:02Speaker 7: is broken, I will admit, but I'm not getting a
- 1:44:04Speaker 7: gate vibe.
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: I'm a way better gaitar. And yeah, I get like
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: just like dumb bro vibes from there. Yeah, like young dumb.
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: You wanted to keep the gal young and dumb, right,
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: she's worth the bud. Yeah, I think it would have
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: been a little bit more like jazzed up. They're just
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: like caution taste knows what she likes. Yeah, okay, were
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: a little more elaborately.
- 1:44:26Speaker 5: I will make a confession.
- 1:44:27Speaker 18: Yeah, when I was maybe twenty years old and I
- 1:44:31Speaker 18: was dating my first college girlfriend, I might have done
- 1:44:35Speaker 18: something like I would have been something funny. I would
- 1:44:36Speaker 18: have screwed with her somehow. He did what you know
- 1:44:40Speaker 18: these things, don't try to curb it.
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: Just tell us.
- 1:44:44Speaker 5: If boo baskets had been a thing.
- 1:44:47Speaker 1: Exactly because that, well, what did you do? No, I
- 1:44:49Speaker 1: didn't do it.
- 1:44:50Speaker 5: Okay, it's something he would have done.
- 1:44:52Speaker 18: Maybe I would have screwed with her somehow, but I
- 1:44:55Speaker 18: see myself being lured into that whipidness.
- 1:44:57Speaker 1: Did you ever make a chick a mixtape?
- 1:44:59Speaker 5: Noah, and thought that old grandpa.
- 1:45:03Speaker 4: Did you?
- 1:45:05Speaker 1: If people did, it was still called a mixtape, even
- 1:45:08Speaker 1: though it was on a sandad like three years younger
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: than you know, four or five. But no, I never did. No, no,
- 1:45:16Speaker 1: nothing like that. All right, I got one more.
- 1:45:18Speaker 5: Okay, this is actually funny.
- 1:45:20Speaker 18: This is some guy named Twig sixty nine, and I
- 1:45:22Speaker 18: just love his voice and his delivery when he made
- 1:45:24Speaker 18: his wife a boot basket.
- 1:45:25Speaker 11: All right, your wife hasn't divorced you yet, Well, let
- 1:45:28Speaker 11: me show you how to make her.
- 1:45:29Speaker 1: A boat basket.
- 1:45:31Speaker 11: To get us a basket, we went through her perse
- 1:45:33Speaker 11: and we found out what kind of makeup she wanted.
- 1:45:35Speaker 1: Who bought that makeup and put.
- 1:45:36Speaker 2: It in there?
- 1:45:37Speaker 11: Some falk blankets and whatnot in there, but thankful movers
- 1:45:41Speaker 11: in here for found hours. Five blow. Now we're gonna
- 1:45:44Speaker 11: get this little brown one throat in that basket. You
- 1:45:46Speaker 11: can never go wrong with cane, and she likes now
- 1:45:49Speaker 11: and later, So we're gonna get a couple of leagues.
- 1:45:51Speaker 11: Aston found this butterfinger we're gonna throw in there.
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: She likes down leaders. That's so weird. How do you
- 1:45:56Speaker 1: eat those with no teeth? Yeah, he was missing, pulled
- 1:46:03Speaker 1: all the teeth out exactly. That guy is super gang.
- 1:46:10Speaker 2: Oh I think I.
- 1:46:12Speaker 1: Know this, and let's put the wraps on the week
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: in audio.
- 1:46:19Speaker 18: You know what I love is unnecessary and made up slang.
- 1:46:22Speaker 18: It's super cool, and I think we should always adopt
- 1:46:25Speaker 18: every new piece of slang that comes out.
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: Yes, because it's fun.
- 1:46:27Speaker 18: It's funny, and so that's what preach this pre well,
- 1:46:31Speaker 18: you might have been using that one for too much longer.
- 1:46:32Speaker 18: This is what is coming out of Indiana, of all places. Yes,
- 1:46:35Speaker 18: they have their own slang according to a TikToker chicken syrup.
- 1:46:39Speaker 18: And he's gonna introduce He's gonna introduce us to what
- 1:46:43Speaker 18: you say if you're in the eye. Okay, in the eye,
- 1:46:46Speaker 18: because every every city has to like call itself the
- 1:46:49Speaker 18: d or the I.
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: Oh, okay, I got you, because you gotta be cool.
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: All right, We're about to push on some Indiana lingo.
- 1:46:54Speaker 17: This is what we say in the R.
- 1:46:56Speaker 20: First up, we don't say lion and we don't say captain,
- 1:47:00Speaker 20: we say creaming brother.
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: But like this, I got two bad bitches at the crib.
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: You creaming god, I'm not cream it, bro, I'm not creamy.
- 1:47:07Speaker 1: Just stay creaming? Are you stay creaming? I mean in
- 1:47:10Speaker 1: your cities? That means something way different.
- 1:47:14Speaker 18: And this next one you might think he's saying a
- 1:47:17Speaker 18: different word, but he's saying d I H d I H.
- 1:47:20Speaker 18: The more Indiana slang d H.
- 1:47:22Speaker 1: And then we don't be saying bro, I don't got
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: no bros.
- 1:47:26Speaker 2: If I'm not your bro, what am I? You might?
- 1:47:28Speaker 2: Did my dick did? Yeah?
- 1:47:33Speaker 1: Shout out my shout out my dick, my.
- 1:47:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: This is real. It seems to be. It seems to be.
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: But again every we heard, well, if you're listening in
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: Indy and Indye one O three, if you're listening in
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: the eye, tell us that God Indy one O three three,
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: hit us up on the text over the two nine?
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: Next is he keep it a one hundred? No creaming?
- 1:47:56Speaker 3: Did I not heard that one? Let's I tell you
- 1:48:00Speaker 3: the six seven one dude, that's all my daughter and
- 1:48:06Speaker 3: her friends. That's all they say. They answer to everything.
- 1:48:09Speaker 3: Six seven I heard hell, and it means absolutely nothing.
- 1:48:16Speaker 3: It doesn't mean anything.
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: Tell her to be better, but don't you have homework?
- 1:48:21Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: Okay, well as soon as dinner's done, you need to
- 1:48:23Speaker 1: do that before you think six seven six seven, Hey,
- 1:48:28Speaker 1: guess what on on Friday? You got invited to a
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: to a sleepover at your friend's house. Six seven six.
- 1:48:37Speaker 5: I thought, why, it's like a swear jar?
- 1:48:40Speaker 1: What doesn't make anything?
- 1:48:41Speaker 6: Back in the day, like the slang would semi make sense,
- 1:48:44Speaker 6: and it would, but now it's just like wherever.
- 1:48:46Speaker 18: That's my official stances. Because of the Internet, it's all
- 1:48:50Speaker 18: too fast and too disposable. It means nothing goes.
- 1:48:54Speaker 3: There are a bunch of videos where the kids are
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: sitting there and the parents they said it up and
- 1:49:01Speaker 3: uh the wife with the mom calls the dad daddy,
- 1:49:06Speaker 3: oh hey, can.
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: You pass the sugar there?
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: Daddy?
- 1:49:08Speaker 11: Hey?
- 1:49:09Speaker 2: Uh?
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: So daddy, what time? And like oh god, like in
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: the teenage, you know, son or daughter? Oh are you?
- 1:49:15Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: Are you serious? Stop that you? How does it feel?
- 1:49:19Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:49:20Speaker 1: But every generation is like this. It's made fun of
- 1:49:23Speaker 1: you for saying rad yeah yeah.
- 1:49:27Speaker 20: Uh.
- 1:49:27Speaker 18: This week in audio, I love this next audio, so
- 1:49:30Speaker 18: uh I have you've heard recently on the show I've
- 1:49:32Speaker 18: called the cops on three card Monty scammers.
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: But they're worse overseas because.
- 1:49:37Speaker 18: You have the gypsies and they love setting up in
- 1:49:39Speaker 18: like London Bridge and the Eiffel Tower in those areas,
- 1:49:42Speaker 18: and I think, okay.
- 1:49:44Speaker 1: This is great, and they're really really good at pit pocking.
- 1:49:46Speaker 18: Yeah and so, and they'll they'll be in groups too,
- 1:49:48Speaker 18: So like one person be running three card Monty and
- 1:49:50Speaker 18: he'll have three or four you know, other gypsies around him,
- 1:49:52Speaker 18: and they'll be pickpocketing and walking out for cops and
- 1:49:55Speaker 18: calling alerts. So these guys have said, uh, screw it.
- 1:49:58Speaker 18: I don't care about these damn scammers. This is outside
- 1:50:00Speaker 18: the Eiffel Tower. One guy's got a water gun. I
- 1:50:02Speaker 18: think guys got pepper spray and they just go right out.
- 1:50:04Speaker 3: That's different than what I saw was this woman and
- 1:50:07Speaker 3: she got pickpocketed and they took her something in her
- 1:50:10Speaker 3: passport and she grabbed this bitch by the hair.
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: Wouldn't let her go, and she's like nope, and she
- 1:50:17Speaker 1: cut please, Yeah, she wouldn't. She would not.
- 1:50:20Speaker 3: And this chick is crying victim and screaming as if
- 1:50:23Speaker 3: she's the one who's been done wrong. It's like, no bitch,
- 1:50:26Speaker 3: And this one got her passport and her stuff back.
- 1:50:28Speaker 3: And then the chick who is the pickpocket got arrested. Yeah,
- 1:50:32Speaker 3: just grabbed her by her hair. But these are the
- 1:50:34Speaker 3: guys messing with the three card monty dudes and guns
- 1:50:37Speaker 3: and pepper.
- 1:50:38Speaker 10: Sprays, shoos shoos, shove us.
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: A bunch of gypsy.
- 1:50:51Speaker 18: If you're gonna pull this off, you gotta have a
- 1:50:52Speaker 18: couple of people, because when you run up to the
- 1:50:54Speaker 18: three card MONI scammer with your water gun.
- 1:50:57Speaker 1: They got they got back up. You don't. You don't
- 1:50:59Speaker 1: know who they are.
- 1:51:00Speaker 18: There's three four dudes and women all around watching out
- 1:51:03Speaker 18: for you, so you gotta have you got to bring
- 1:51:04Speaker 18: back up is going to be a rumble.
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: But why are you even going up to that too?
- 1:51:09Speaker 1: Three card months, three car.
- 1:51:12Speaker 18: You and me, I get what it is we do,
- 1:51:14Speaker 18: but this dopey tourists from Austria forever like people should know.
- 1:51:19Speaker 18: I remember I was on I did a European study
- 1:51:22Speaker 18: abroad and the we landed in wherever the hell it was, Czechoslovakia,
- 1:51:25Speaker 18: and a bunch of all the twenty nineteen year olds
- 1:51:27Speaker 18: with me saw these old men doing three card Moni
- 1:51:30Speaker 18: and the shell game and all that crap, and they
- 1:51:33Speaker 18: were like.
- 1:51:33Speaker 1: Oh, what's this? I could win that?
- 1:51:37Speaker 3: Well, you know, six seven six seven. All right, one
- 1:51:41Speaker 3: more clip this week in audio.
- 1:51:42Speaker 18: All right, this is speaking of overseas stuff. This is
- 1:51:46Speaker 18: a lady whose father went to Ely and her dufist. Dad,
- 1:51:51Speaker 18: as I've told some people in this room, tried to
- 1:51:53Speaker 18: order authentic Italian chicken parmigan.
- 1:51:57Speaker 5: And the waiter said, what the hell is that?
- 1:52:01Speaker 1: He knows what it is? It doesn't make exist, it
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: doesn't exist.
- 1:52:07Speaker 2: I don't know what it means.
- 1:52:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll tell you what I'm gonna you. Okay, it
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: may not be on your menu, and it may not
- 1:52:19Speaker 1: be authentic.
- 1:52:21Speaker 2: You know what it is?
- 1:52:22Speaker 1: You lying liar.
- 1:52:23Speaker 5: He looked like a good giant mess of garbage in
- 1:52:26Speaker 5: the past, the way you do.
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: He is disgusted. Yeah, no exist, he here.
- 1:52:37Speaker 6: I believe it though in like deep Italy, they would
- 1:52:39Speaker 6: have no idea, right because non tourist place deep fried
- 1:52:42Speaker 6: chicken with cheese and sauce and rolls.
- 1:52:45Speaker 5: Again, it's it's a fat American thing.
- 1:52:46Speaker 18: But to think that that's some kind of authentic Italian dish,
- 1:52:49Speaker 18: or that somehow you would judge a.
- 1:52:51Speaker 5: Restaurant, particularly Parmesan, is Italian. But we're like, hey, you
- 1:52:55Speaker 5: know what would be better.
