- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Hawk Talk with former Seahawks wide receiver
- 0:05Speaker 1: Michael Bumpus at the ten yard lives Second to day
- 0:08Speaker 1: free wide receivers now in motion has Bumpas left to right,
- 0:11Speaker 1: Julius Jones a single setback Matt Pumpfe's looking at the
- 0:14Speaker 1: goal line. He throws it into the end zone. Touchdown.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Say Hawks, it's Michael Bumpas with a diving catching the
- 0:21Speaker 1: end zone. Our ten yard touchdown reception for Puppas and
- 0:25Speaker 1: the kid out of Washington State has found himself a
- 0:29Speaker 1: place on this team. Powered by Seahawks dot Com. Hawk
- 0:34Speaker 1: Talk Recap edition to see Talks fall to the Bears
- 0:37Speaker 1: at home twenty five to twenty four. Had a chance
- 0:40Speaker 1: to win the game, just didn't get it done. But
- 0:43Speaker 1: let's go into the trenches with Ray robertson figure this
- 0:45Speaker 1: thing out. It's time to go inside the trenches with
- 0:50Speaker 1: former Seahawk Ray Roberts Big Ray. We were at Loumanfield
- 0:55Speaker 1: and saw this team fall. Was a snowy day. First
- 0:59Speaker 1: half good you score seventeen points, but in the second
- 1:02Speaker 1: half the odds only able to produce seven points. What
- 1:06Speaker 1: are you seeing out of this offense? What needs to
- 1:08Speaker 1: change to finish the season strong. Well, I think you know,
- 1:12Speaker 1: the finish the season strong. They just need to finish
- 1:14Speaker 1: drives and finish games. They've they've done a lot of
- 1:17Speaker 1: good things. Like it's easy to be frustrated about the
- 1:20Speaker 1: loss and feel like nothing good came of it. But
- 1:23Speaker 1: Richard Penny ran the ball, ran the ball well for
- 1:26Speaker 1: the most part. The offensive line past protected well against
- 1:29Speaker 1: a very tough defense. You're able to put you know,
- 1:33Speaker 1: twenty twenty four points on the board, just couldn't couldn't
- 1:37Speaker 1: finish the game. And so you know, there's a lot
- 1:39Speaker 1: of good things that were going on in that game.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Jake Karran played a very good football game, and you know,
- 1:44Speaker 1: he seems to be like maybe like the bright spot
- 1:46Speaker 1: heading down to the end of the year. So you
- 1:48Speaker 1: want to see him finish strong. But more than anything,
- 1:51Speaker 1: it's just finishing games. Like they they've done some good things.
- 1:55Speaker 1: They did good things in that game. There's some things
- 1:57Speaker 1: you'd like to have back, but I mean, you always
- 1:59Speaker 1: want singings back in games, But finishing games is what
- 2:03Speaker 1: they need to do down the stretch. Now, we saw
- 2:05Speaker 1: DK get involved early with a forty one yard touchdown.
- 2:08Speaker 1: That's what we wanted to see, but he kind of
- 2:11Speaker 1: disappeared as the game went along. Do you think the
- 2:14Speaker 1: Hawks are making a good enough effort to get him
- 2:16Speaker 1: involved in the game plan or is it just sometimes,
- 2:20Speaker 1: you know what, he's not open and the Red didn't
- 2:22Speaker 1: take Russell that way. I don't know, man. I look
- 2:25Speaker 1: at some of these other elite receivers around the league
- 2:28Speaker 1: and they're getting double teamed and things like that, but
- 2:31Speaker 1: somehow they still get double digit targets, you know what
- 2:33Speaker 1: I'm saying. And so the dude is so big and fast,
- 2:37Speaker 1: you know, like to me, I just feel like they
- 2:40Speaker 1: need to give him a chance, you know, whether it's
- 2:42Speaker 1: you know, throwing shorter routes, you know, like he's so
- 2:45Speaker 1: fast that people are playing off. I think Brian was
- 2:47Speaker 1: talking about this, you know, on the pregame show. It
- 2:50Speaker 1: was like, you know, have him, you know, speed off
- 2:52Speaker 1: the line and then do a little five yard you know,
- 2:54Speaker 1: hitch catch the ball that way. Everything doesn't have to
- 2:56Speaker 1: be like, you know, forty fifty yard touchdown passes. But
- 3:00Speaker 1: when you have a dude that is that's as dangerous
- 3:01Speaker 1: as he is, you have to create find for something
- 3:06Speaker 1: to get him the ball. You can't have that dude,
- 3:08Speaker 1: have a forty one yard touchdown pass and the first half,
- 3:12Speaker 1: you know, first quarter of the game, and then have
- 3:14Speaker 1: forty one yards for the entire game that offense and
- 3:18Speaker 1: this team is going to go nowhere with that. And
- 3:21Speaker 1: we are so used to Russell Wilson and the Seahawks
- 3:24Speaker 1: pulling off these leg game charges. Since twenty twelve, RUSS
- 3:27Speaker 1: has thirty five game when it drives in the fourth
- 3:29Speaker 1: in overtime. What's the difference this year? Because I see
- 3:32Speaker 1: the personnel and I'm like, Okay, they have the guys
- 3:35Speaker 1: to do it, but why haven't they been able to
- 3:37Speaker 1: pull off these close games late? You know? It's it's
- 3:40Speaker 1: kind of like, uh, what we're talking about with the defense,
- 3:43Speaker 1: you know, giving up a lot of yards and not
- 3:44Speaker 1: a bunch of touchdowns and then eventually yesterday that just
- 3:48Speaker 1: kind of didn't hold up, you know. And then with
- 3:51Speaker 1: Russ this year, with the injury, with the time away,
- 3:54Speaker 1: with the inconsistency of the offense, with not knowing what
- 3:58Speaker 1: the identity of the offense is, They're gonna go up tempos, slows,
- 4:02Speaker 1: you know, multiple like all these different things. I think
- 4:05Speaker 1: that probably impacts his ability to finish Uh, those drives
- 4:10Speaker 1: and for that team to to to uh you know,
- 4:13Speaker 1: have those drives because if you don't know exactly who
- 4:15Speaker 1: you are, uh in those moments and you know, under
- 4:19Speaker 1: heightened stress, it's just it's going to show itself even more. Yeah.
- 4:23Speaker 1: And you know they got the lines coming up next,
- 4:25Speaker 1: and you know you look at their record and say
- 4:28Speaker 1: what you want. This is a team that's been playing
- 4:29Speaker 1: some good football eyes of late. So if it does
- 4:32Speaker 1: come down to a closed game, um, we hope they
- 4:35Speaker 1: get it done. But how important is it for these
- 4:38Speaker 1: guys to play well against these lines just to finish
- 4:40Speaker 1: the season strong? Well, I mean this is an interesting
- 4:43Speaker 1: game for me having played for both teams and and
- 4:46Speaker 1: you know, on the side I tried, I hope that
- 4:49Speaker 1: Detroit plays you know, you know have have good seasons. Uh,
- 4:53Speaker 1: but uh, to me, this is a game that the
- 4:56Speaker 1: Seahawks have to win in the first quarter like and
- 5:01Speaker 1: like they we can't do to Pete Carroll winning you know,
- 5:03Speaker 1: can't winning first, can't winning the second, win the third. Like.
- 5:06Speaker 1: They have to win the game when they can win
- 5:08Speaker 1: the game, and that's they have to score early and often, uh,
- 5:12Speaker 1: keep Detroit off the field. The team Detroit hasn't won
- 5:15Speaker 1: a whole lot of games. You don't know a whole
- 5:17Speaker 1: lot of people on their team other than Jared Golf,
- 5:19Speaker 1: But they have some players. Uh, they're professional players, just
- 5:22Speaker 1: like everybody else. And they have really embraced Dan Campbell's
- 5:27Speaker 1: you know, bite your kneecaps all statement that he made
- 5:30Speaker 1: when he first took the job. And so they fight
- 5:32Speaker 1: to the very end. And so if you give them
- 5:35Speaker 1: a chance with you know, with under you know, with
- 5:38Speaker 1: a one score lead or less than a one score
- 5:40Speaker 1: lead at the end of the game, man, you're gonna
- 5:42Speaker 1: put yourself in harm's way that they might end up
- 5:44Speaker 1: pulling out, you know, pulling out the win. So this
- 5:47Speaker 1: is one of those games where I would be going
- 5:49Speaker 1: to DK early and often hopefully Penny is still running
- 5:53Speaker 1: the way he's running, an offensive line is blocking well,
- 5:55Speaker 1: and then defensively with dunlapping Greens getting after it and
- 6:01Speaker 1: Darryl Taylor, they can get after the quarterback and really
- 6:04Speaker 1: shut this office down and really not make it a game.
- 6:07Speaker 1: That's the best way to win this one. All right,
- 6:09Speaker 1: two more weeks and try to finish on a high note. Man,
- 6:11Speaker 1: We appreciate your time. I'll talk to you soon, Yes, sir,
- 6:14Speaker 1: Do you guys have a good with me? All right?
- 6:16Speaker 1: That was Ray Roberts. Let's bring in NASA Choby and
- 6:19Speaker 1: figure out what happened. See what happened at first? What
- 6:24Speaker 1: had happened was un well. Bump up. Head coach Fee
- 6:30Speaker 1: Carroll said this when the game ended yesterday, we stepped
- 6:32Speaker 1: up to the podium. This was one of the most
- 6:34Speaker 1: disappointing regular season losses he's ever experienced as head coach
- 6:38Speaker 1: of the Seattle Seahawks. Snowy Day in Seattle, Hawks come
- 6:42Speaker 1: up short, falling to two and five at Louman Field
- 6:44Speaker 1: on this season. It was a tough game. The Seahawks
- 6:48Speaker 1: felt like they were in control the entire game. Heading
- 6:51Speaker 1: into that fourth quarter. They had a ten point lead,
- 6:54Speaker 1: and of course they gave up that lead, led by
- 6:56Speaker 1: Nick Fools former Super Bowl champion, as Michael Us has
- 7:00Speaker 1: pointed out several times last night, But yeah, Nick Foles
- 7:04Speaker 1: somehow was able to let the Bear score eleven unanswered
- 7:08Speaker 1: points for the com from behind win, and a lot
- 7:11Speaker 1: of the same themes continued to plug the Seahawks team,
- 7:13Speaker 1: as they have all season long. Seahawks once again lost
- 7:16Speaker 1: time in possession thirty eight twenty five to twenty one
- 7:19Speaker 1: thirty five. Seahawks struggled again on third down, going just
- 7:23Speaker 1: three for ten, not converting a single third down in
- 7:26Speaker 1: the second half. Dk Metcalf got things going early with
- 7:29Speaker 1: the forty one yard touchdown passed from Russell Wilson. After that,
- 7:33Speaker 1: he had one more reception in the entire game, a
- 7:36Speaker 1: little now passed by the goal line and he got
- 7:38Speaker 1: that for zero yards Tyler Lockett. He was in a
- 7:42Speaker 1: much of a factor late three receptions thirty yards on
- 7:44Speaker 1: six targets and after connecting with Gerald Ever for that
- 7:48Speaker 1: twenty four yard touchdown, the Seahawks offense went missfield goal drive, punt,
- 7:53Speaker 1: turnover on downs in the fourth quarter to end the game,
- 7:57Speaker 1: and a lot of things happened there that really stick
- 7:59Speaker 1: out to me. Bump. For of all the missfield goal drive,
- 8:02Speaker 1: the Hawks had a third in goal from the eight
- 8:04Speaker 1: yard line, and then Russell Wilson doing what he does
- 8:07Speaker 1: best most of the time, trying to make a play,
- 8:09Speaker 1: extending to play. Unfortunately he takes a sack and they'll
- 8:12Speaker 1: say a thirteen yard loss would prove to be a
- 8:14Speaker 1: big deal because then Justin Myers has what we assume
- 8:18Speaker 1: as a chip shot field goal, but given the snow
- 8:20Speaker 1: and the conditions, it wasn't. He missed it, which was
- 8:22Speaker 1: a huge play for the Seahawks there. Then they're up
- 8:25Speaker 1: twenty four seventeen in the fourth, badly needing a stop
- 8:28Speaker 1: on defense. Defense would have been playing pretty well most
- 8:30Speaker 1: of the day. Unfortunately, the Bears going to six play
- 8:33Speaker 1: eighty yard drive any with a Jimmy Graham touchdown, fitting
- 8:37Speaker 1: of course that Jimmy Graham comes back to Seattle gets
- 8:40Speaker 1: a goal line fade four touchdown to win the game.
- 8:43Speaker 1: That drive. The Seahawks gave up forty yards on the
- 8:45Speaker 1: first play thirty yard pass and then a fifteen yard penalty,
- 8:49Speaker 1: and it just heartbreak and then the Bears go for two.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Nick Foles finds the mere bird in the back of
- 8:54Speaker 1: the end zone and but I'm not gonna lie. That
- 8:56Speaker 1: was one of the best catches I've ever seen at
- 8:59Speaker 1: the to end the game on a two blanket version
- 9:01Speaker 1: like that. Somehow how he managed to get one foot
- 9:04Speaker 1: down and then like one side of his calf or whatever,
- 9:06Speaker 1: and to be palming the ball with one hand. Unbelievable catch.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You gotta tip your cap to the Bears Seahawks down one,
- 9:12Speaker 1: though getting the ball back two time outs, minute left
- 9:16Speaker 1: with Russell Wilson, you'd assume that, you know, they would
- 9:18Speaker 1: at least get in the field goal range and have
- 9:20Speaker 1: a shot at the field goal. Unfortunately, it was not
- 9:22Speaker 1: meant to be. Seahawks come up short, turning the ball
- 9:25Speaker 1: over on down. So, like I said, to start bump incredibly,
- 9:29Speaker 1: incredibly disappointing. The Seahawks fall to five and ten on
- 9:33Speaker 1: the season. Just wasn't their day. Despite that, though, there
- 9:36Speaker 1: were some playmakers, playmakers right playmakers, first stuff. Russell Wilson
- 9:52Speaker 1: wasn't able to get it done late in the game,
- 9:54Speaker 1: but did have a decent show in sixteen to twenty
- 9:57Speaker 1: seven one hundred and eighty one yards and two touchdowns.
- 10:00Speaker 1: He made some good throws, good throw to DK over
- 10:02Speaker 1: the top, a couple get throws to Gerald Evert. On
- 10:05Speaker 1: third downs, we mentioned they were three for ten on
- 10:07Speaker 1: third downs. Well two of those third down pickups were
- 10:10Speaker 1: on the drive right before the half, so and Russell
- 10:14Speaker 1: scrambled a couple of times then looked like he had
- 10:17Speaker 1: a little burst, little juice in those legs. So other
- 10:19Speaker 1: than the drive to win the game, Russell did a
- 10:22Speaker 1: decent job sixteen to twenty seven, one hundred eighty one yards,
- 10:25Speaker 1: two touchdowns, and then our guy a Shot Penny falling
- 10:28Speaker 1: out second game in the two second last three games
- 10:31Speaker 1: where he's rushed for one hundred yards seventeen carries, one
- 10:34Speaker 1: hundred and thirty five yards, one touchdown, and like we've
- 10:36Speaker 1: talked about for the last couple of weeks, it's the
- 10:38Speaker 1: way he's doing it. You know, he had a couple
- 10:40Speaker 1: he had to think. He had a thirty plus yard
- 10:42Speaker 1: run and twenty plus yard run, but most of his
- 10:44Speaker 1: yards were tough, physical yards between the tackles, lowering his shoulder,
- 10:47Speaker 1: and he said it after the game, He's like, you
- 10:49Speaker 1: know what, sometimes I forget I'm two hundred and twenty pounds.
- 10:52Speaker 1: And you know, he started listening to Chris Carson when
- 10:54Speaker 1: you'd always tell him listening, you can run through those
- 10:56Speaker 1: arm tackles, like you're big dude, if you if you
- 10:59Speaker 1: keep running hard, and that's how you approach the game,
- 11:01Speaker 1: Guys aren't gonna tackle you. The first guy's not gonna
- 11:03Speaker 1: tackle you. So it's great to see your shot Penny
- 11:06Speaker 1: running with confidence and some swagger and just doing his thing.
- 11:09Speaker 1: And I want to see him end the week strong.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I'd love to see him go for a hundred two
- 11:12Speaker 1: more times this year. So yeah, it's really happy for
- 11:15Speaker 1: ra Shot Penny because he's playing really well right now.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Gerald Everett had himself a good day for reception sixty
- 11:20Speaker 1: eight yards and one touchdown. Ever since that turnover game,
- 11:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna call it a few weeks back, Gerald Everett
- 11:26Speaker 1: has really turned the corner and been there for this
- 11:28Speaker 1: football team. One of the best throws of the day.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Word to Gerald Everett. I believe Russell was rolling out
- 11:34Speaker 1: throws it over the show a nice little dime. Everett
- 11:37Speaker 1: does the rest. This guy's making me excited for what's
- 11:40Speaker 1: to come in the future. He's really found himself in
- 11:43Speaker 1: this offense and having for her the dude, no question
- 11:47Speaker 1: about it. Now. Another playmaker, Bobby Wagner twelve tackles. Another
- 11:50Speaker 1: double digit tackle day for Bobby Wagner. It's gonna happen
- 11:53Speaker 1: every single week. You can know what's pencil that in.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I want to give special left to Wax who said
- 11:57Speaker 1: a franchise record for tackles in a see he's in
- 12:00Speaker 1: breaking his own record that was one hundred and sixty
- 12:02Speaker 1: eight and a lot of people are gonna be like, well,
- 12:05Speaker 1: tackles isn't an overrated sad tackles this and that, Okay,
- 12:08Speaker 1: But to consistently do it at the rate he's doing it,
- 12:12Speaker 1: obviously no one else has done it before. It's almost
- 12:14Speaker 1: like it's a weird comparison. But it just popped in
- 12:16Speaker 1: my head. You know, people talk about when Russell Westbrook
- 12:18Speaker 1: had all those triple doubles and people, oh, you just
- 12:21Speaker 1: just fill up the stat sheet. Well there's a reason
- 12:23Speaker 1: no one else has done it. So it's like you
- 12:25Speaker 1: can't just you can't just be like, oh, it's just
- 12:27Speaker 1: a meaningless stat wall. If it was so easy, a
- 12:30Speaker 1: million other people would have done it. So Bobby Wagner
- 12:32Speaker 1: has been the standard of excellence a linebacker for over
- 12:35Speaker 1: a decade now, so I love to see it happen
- 12:37Speaker 1: to good work. Bob's Harlow's done lab. Two weeks in
- 12:40Speaker 1: a row, this guy has shown up five tackles, two sacks,
- 12:42Speaker 1: three quarterback hits, one tackle for loss in one pass
- 12:46Speaker 1: defended a big race, says the load management has allowed
- 12:50Speaker 1: this dude to play at a high level as of late.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Two more games to go. Let's keep the good times
- 12:55Speaker 1: willing from Carlo's done life. He's one of those guys
- 12:57Speaker 1: to where he's not a rookie, he's not young in
- 12:59Speaker 1: his league, but because of where he's down in his career,
- 13:01Speaker 1: he still needs to show people, I look, I can
- 13:03Speaker 1: be productive, and he's showing the Hawks in the league
- 13:06Speaker 1: that the past several games, no question, five sacks and
- 13:09Speaker 1: two games that I mean, he's balling out. I love
- 13:11Speaker 1: to see it because you know a lot of people
- 13:12Speaker 1: were questioning whether he had some stuff left in the tank.
- 13:14Speaker 1: He indeed does been balling out. Last guy I want
- 13:17Speaker 1: to look at him. Defensive line, Rashime Green, the young
- 13:20Speaker 1: guys also playing really good. Two tackles, two sacks, two TFLs,
- 13:24Speaker 1: four quarterback hits. He's been incredibly active the last couple
- 13:27Speaker 1: of weeks, and Big Ray mentioned this last night on
- 13:28Speaker 1: the postgame show. He's still a really young kid, twenty five,
- 13:33Speaker 1: like Rashim Green is a young player in this league,
- 13:35Speaker 1: and now I think he's finally got his feet underneath him.
- 13:38Speaker 1: In the preseason, defensive line coach Clint Hurt talks about
- 13:42Speaker 1: that a lot high I think I've seen something different
- 13:44Speaker 1: than Rashim, and then people were kind of not sure
- 13:45Speaker 1: about that, because you know, that's a lot of coach
- 13:48Speaker 1: speak in the preseason. But we've definitely seen a different
- 13:50Speaker 1: machine Green. He's been consistently infecting the quarterback, doing well
- 13:53Speaker 1: against the run. So love to see what he's doing there.
- 13:55Speaker 1: All right, Let's get to the wide receiver round up.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Gerald ever for the second week, leads a charge four
- 14:00Speaker 1: reception sixty eight yards and a touchdown. DK right behind
- 14:03Speaker 1: him two for forty one in a touchdown. Tyler Lockett
- 14:06Speaker 1: three catches for thirty yards. Stop. We're gonna see more
- 14:08Speaker 1: of him this week. DJ Dallas four catches for twenty
- 14:11Speaker 1: three yards, d eskra Is two for ten, and Freddie
- 14:14Speaker 1: Swain one for nine. This group as a whole sixteen
- 14:17Speaker 1: catches one hundred and eighty one yards. Let's break down
- 14:20Speaker 1: to play and get to the coach's corner. One of
- 14:23Speaker 1: the few right spots from the game yesterday was DK
- 14:25Speaker 1: metcalf on the first drive or the second drive of
- 14:28Speaker 1: the game for the offense, Russell Wilson connect with him
- 14:30Speaker 1: for a forty one yard touchdown. Dallas out of the
- 14:33Speaker 1: backfield in motion left side. Russell looks now he's gonna
- 14:35Speaker 1: throw it up at the top. He's got his man
- 14:37Speaker 1: out there in steak. He's into the end zone. Touch
- 14:40Speaker 1: up Seahawks Thomas Graham Junior on coverage could not keep
- 14:47Speaker 1: up with big number fourteen. He goes forty one for
- 14:52Speaker 1: six and the Seahawks are on the board over the
- 14:55Speaker 1: Bears six nothing. A perfect pass by Russell Wilson. It's
- 14:59Speaker 1: a little on one matchup right here. Nats Penny goes
- 15:02Speaker 1: in motion, a guy runs with him. Russ knows right now, okay,
- 15:05Speaker 1: this is a man defense, so he knows he wants
- 15:08Speaker 1: to go to DCA at the top. DECA is one
- 15:10Speaker 1: on one. What he does a great job of us
- 15:12Speaker 1: looking left because there's a safety over there on the numbers,
- 15:15Speaker 1: keeping an eye on DK, especially when you're down in
- 15:17Speaker 1: your own territory. Russell does a great job looking left.
- 15:20Speaker 1: DKA gives a nice little inside release move, Boom bounces outside,
- 15:25Speaker 1: and then it's just all speed and ability. After that,
- 15:27Speaker 1: Russell drops a dime. One of the best deep ball
- 15:30Speaker 1: throws we've seen in the last few weeks from Russell
- 15:33Speaker 1: Wilson DC, showing patience at the line and stacking the
- 15:37Speaker 1: dB once he's on top. Easy throw easy catch, touchdown.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Good guys. Yeah. The thing I love what you said
- 15:43Speaker 1: about that was patience. You know, I feel like sometimes
- 15:46Speaker 1: with the younger receivers they can get inpatient when they're
- 15:49Speaker 1: trying to get off the football. That's a great patience
- 15:51Speaker 1: stacks up the defender and once as a corner, once
- 15:54Speaker 1: you get stacked up like that, good night. It's a
- 15:56Speaker 1: two way go. Yeah, you're no man saying, especially with
- 15:59Speaker 1: a guy with that kind of speed in that kind
- 16:00Speaker 1: of size, and you're right, Russell Wilson dropped a perfect
- 16:02Speaker 1: deep ball. And the thing about this which changed the
- 16:05Speaker 1: game because after that, the Chicago Bears are like, yeah,
- 16:09Speaker 1: we're never gonna give him single cover dressed away. That
- 16:12Speaker 1: safety was staying over the top and they were gonna
- 16:14Speaker 1: take that play away. So kudos to them. But a
- 16:16Speaker 1: great pitch and catch from Russell Wilson to a DK Metcalf.
- 16:19Speaker 1: We just see see more of it. They are too
- 16:22Speaker 1: good of a combo together. We know the snow was
- 16:25Speaker 1: a little bit of a factor yesterday, a lot more
- 16:27Speaker 1: in special teams and then the past game, but we
- 16:30Speaker 1: need to see more of that because they're too talented,
- 16:32Speaker 1: too good, And one thing I want to see for
- 16:34Speaker 1: the next two weeks is somehow finding a way to
- 16:36Speaker 1: relight that connection reignited, getting back to what we saw
- 16:39Speaker 1: at the beginning of the year, in all of last season,
- 16:41Speaker 1: to get back to where they should be because their
- 16:43Speaker 1: productions should be a lot higher between them. All right,
- 16:47Speaker 1: no victory formation this week for the tenth time this year,
- 16:50Speaker 1: the clock ran out taking them. Fine, Huntley, they're just
- 16:57Speaker 1: gonna let the clock wind down, but it's not even
- 16:59Speaker 1: gonna they're taking that last time out. Man, you said
- 17:03Speaker 1: ten times ten times. It's it's it's it's disappointing. It's hard.
- 17:09Speaker 1: It's hard for me to even fout him. We've been
- 17:11Speaker 1: so accustomed to so much success in this region for
- 17:14Speaker 1: so long, so when things don't go your way on Sundays,
- 17:16Speaker 1: it's it's hard to wrap your brain around it. One
- 17:19Speaker 1: of the most disappointing losses in the peak, Carroll Russell
- 17:22Speaker 1: Wilson are in terms of regular season, just for in
- 17:24Speaker 1: terms of a game that they think they should have won,
- 17:27Speaker 1: a team that they are better than, a team where
- 17:28Speaker 1: they're up ten points in the fourth quarter. It was
- 17:31Speaker 1: just disappointing because you feel like the Seahawks were in
- 17:33Speaker 1: control of majority of the way, but unfortunately they just
- 17:36Speaker 1: couldn't get it done in the end. Man. They couldn't
- 17:38Speaker 1: third downs again, Man, same story, couldn't get off the
- 17:41Speaker 1: field on third down and couldn't convert on third down.
- 17:44Speaker 1: The Hawks were three for ten. Just disappointing because we
- 17:49Speaker 1: feel like, like you said, the Hawks are better than this,
- 17:52Speaker 1: and you played against the team's third string quarterback guests.
- 17:55Speaker 1: It was the Super Bowl champion Nick Foles, but he's
- 17:59Speaker 1: been on the bench for a while. There's a reason
- 18:00Speaker 1: why he has been playing for some reason, Nick. This
- 18:03Speaker 1: shows up. Hawks were not able to get it done
- 18:05Speaker 1: in time of possession again, lost the time of possession bill.
- 18:09Speaker 1: That means they're not extending drives. They only went on
- 18:11Speaker 1: I believe, one double digit drive which resulted in a touchdown.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Other than that, seven six, eight plays somewhere around that range.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Same story, different week. Yeah, it's it's yeah, I'm a
- 18:24Speaker 1: speechless a month. But I don't got a lot to
- 18:26Speaker 1: add after that because it's it's been rough. Man. But
- 18:29Speaker 1: here's where a rat right now to seehowks got two
- 18:31Speaker 1: weeks left in the twenty twenty one season. They're going
- 18:33Speaker 1: up against a two and twelve and one Detroit Lions,
- 18:36Speaker 1: and then after that they got the ten to five Cardinals.
- 18:39Speaker 1: At this point, we know that the playoffs are now
- 18:41Speaker 1: officially out of reach, but it's how they finished the season, right.
- 18:45Speaker 1: There's a lot of professionals that locker room, led by
- 18:47Speaker 1: Russell and Bobby, and it's about how they're gonna finish
- 18:50Speaker 1: the season, take some priding and go out the way
- 18:52Speaker 1: they should. They're gonna keep battling. I know that for
- 18:54Speaker 1: a fact, to finish next two weeks, and I want
- 18:57Speaker 1: to see the young guys continue to step up. There's
- 18:58Speaker 1: a lot to be had in the next two weeks
- 19:01Speaker 1: because you know, you only have X amount of games, right,
- 19:04Speaker 1: so you can't see some of that stuff in practice.
- 19:06Speaker 1: So the more game reps and some of the younger
- 19:08Speaker 1: guys can get I would love to see. But I
- 19:10Speaker 1: just want to see them go out strong, finish on
- 19:13Speaker 1: a high note, and beat the Lions at home. Please, Bump,
- 19:15Speaker 1: can you finish with a win? Please? That's all I
- 19:18Speaker 1: asked for, man, That's all I asked for for the
- 19:19Speaker 1: New Years. See us go out with two wins and
- 19:22Speaker 1: then we can start talking about the great offseason. It's
- 19:24Speaker 1: gonna lead into a great season next year and more success.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Let's go. Time to go out with a bang. You
- 19:31Speaker 1: twelve show up one more home game against the Detroit
- 19:35Speaker 1: Lions as hope Hawks get it done. But this week
- 19:38Speaker 1: the Seahawks failed to the Bears twenty five to twenty four.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I am Michael Bump as he is Nasa Choby. That
- 19:44Speaker 1: is HAWG Talk recap. Talk to you guys soon.
