- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show with the hosts Adam Todd
- 0:15Speaker 1: Brown and Conye mc snadden. All right, that's it coming,
- 0:26Speaker 1: Hey buddy, we're doing it.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Indeed, we are welcome back to another edition of Conspiracy
- 0:31Speaker 2: The Show.
- 0:31Speaker 1: The Show. We're doing current Events ship this time.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Oh you know, we're all about riding the SEO wave
- 0:38Speaker 2: on this podcast. Yeah, and just you know, profiteering off
- 0:42Speaker 2: of the deep family tragedies that are in the headlines.
- 0:46Speaker 1: It's how the entire goddamn internet works. It really does,
- 0:50Speaker 1: profiting off.
- 0:50Speaker 2: He is a man who sent five Cafife and four
- 0:53Speaker 2: Kathy Griffin tweets in the last three and a half hours.
- 0:56Speaker 1: So is that how we're pronouncing that word?
- 0:59Speaker 2: I'm going kafif kafif you know, just the ease of
- 1:04Speaker 2: you know, just to get off. I think it's coe
- 1:06Speaker 2: is also probably acceptablefe sounds.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I like the wayfe sounds. Yeah.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Fe. It feels like it feels like a niche porn
- 1:14Speaker 2: sub genre where it's like, oh yeah, they fart on balloons.
- 1:16Speaker 1: It's fe Did he delete that tweet? Ever?
- 1:19Speaker 2: He did finally the next morning, and then he he
- 1:22Speaker 2: tweeted like, what's the true meeting of cafe. You know,
- 1:25Speaker 2: I like cafee better. I'm gonna be ask me. He's
- 1:28Speaker 2: like enjoy. He put three question marks and then he
- 1:30Speaker 2: just show enjoy, you know, like he used to do
- 1:31Speaker 2: when he'd be on Fox and Friends while he was
- 1:33Speaker 2: in the Primaries or whatever, and probably still does.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 1:36Speaker 2: So he did take it down, but you know, it's
- 1:38Speaker 2: it seems to me like the most likely narrative is
- 1:41Speaker 2: that he was tweeting while falling asleep, accidentally sent it out,
- 1:44Speaker 2: you know, put the phone under the pillow with the
- 1:46Speaker 2: alarm like I do. And then everyone in the White
- 1:49Speaker 2: House was just like, we can't go wake him up
- 1:51Speaker 2: or like grab his phone or whatever, like this isn't yeah,
- 1:54Speaker 2: this isn't quite like red phone level fucking you know scandal.
- 1:58Speaker 2: So then, uh, then it just got away from him.
- 2:01Speaker 1: What a goddamn dilemma if you're working in the White House,
- 2:04Speaker 1: Justine Saco all over again, you're just gonna watch it
- 2:07Speaker 1: unfold overnight.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean you got to figure that those people
- 2:11Speaker 2: were just like, look, there's way more important shit. We
- 2:16Speaker 2: should have stolen his phone and deleted by now. So
- 2:19Speaker 2: we'll just let this slide and maybe they'll, you know,
- 2:21Speaker 2: take some coverage away from the Paris Climate Accords.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Yeah, oh holy shit, yeah dark times.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Well, if you're listening to this beneath the sea in
- 2:30Speaker 2: the future, The Iron Giant was a very popular movie
- 2:33Speaker 2: that started up in Diesel.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Very great. Yep, you don't know there's an Iron Giant
- 2:38Speaker 1: here if you're just listening to it. But if you
- 2:40Speaker 1: somehow recovered the video.
- 2:41Speaker 2: The fact that you didn't assume, I'm kind of offended,
- 2:44Speaker 2: to be honest with you, I mean a conspiracy podcast
- 2:46Speaker 2: and there's no giant cardboard cutout of the Iron Giant. Yeah,
- 2:49Speaker 2: listen to yourself.
- 2:51Speaker 1: At perfect crotch to mouth level.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Indeed, And the thing that I hadn't thought about when
- 2:56Speaker 2: looking at this during my previous visits is the shipping
- 2:59Speaker 2: legit sticks of this item are astronomical.
- 3:02Speaker 1: That cardboard is unsolied. Yeah, it ith It came about
- 3:07Speaker 1: a quarter of the size. It was folded up.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Oh I'm seeing I'm seeing the perforations. Yeah I knew
- 3:12Speaker 2: that was my phone, my bed.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it showed up folded. But now it's at such
- 3:18Speaker 1: a perfect level.
- 3:19Speaker 2: The shit I just tweeted.
- 3:21Speaker 1: If I position the microphones just right, it looks like
- 3:25Speaker 1: someone's going to town on the Iron Giant throughout the
- 3:29Speaker 1: entire podcast.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Well you know what, maybe if we get the Watching
- 3:33Speaker 2: Now numbers above the very very closest to possible without
- 3:37Speaker 2: being double digits, Yeah, I will fullate the Iron Giant.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Well, this is like, these are people who pay even
- 3:45Speaker 1: more money than regular subscribers, diehard. They're an elite class. Yeah,
- 3:50Speaker 1: that's why they get to be here.
- 3:51Speaker 2: They're subscribing to the big League box. Have you seen
- 3:54Speaker 2: that Trump has a new.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Like I heard about it, but I held the big lead. Yeah,
- 3:59Speaker 1: that's all. We have a box too. We haven't sent
- 4:01Speaker 1: our first one out yet.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we're gonna be doing that soon over on
- 4:04Speaker 2: my podcast Being Boys. But yeah, I like that.
- 4:06Speaker 1: You're can he added that out? Please?
- 4:08Speaker 2: There's no producer there. He's talking to a cardboard cutout
- 4:12Speaker 2: of a different animated movie from the early two thousands.
- 4:17Speaker 1: The Steel Giant knock off for Monsters, Inc.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Can we lose that in post? Just make a note?
- 4:23Speaker 1: Just shit together, Connor, Oh, so what are we talking
- 4:27Speaker 1: about today?
- 4:28Speaker 2: Today? We're talking about uh seth Rich, the conspiracy du
- 4:31Speaker 2: joure of all of the right wing propaganda.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Outlets yeah, it's it's the hot one right now. It is. Yeah,
- 4:38Speaker 1: it's it's a weird one. It's it's weird that it
- 4:40Speaker 1: took as long as it has to develop it has.
- 4:43Speaker 2: It's it's insane that Hannity is going to bat for
- 4:47Speaker 2: it at a level where he's losing tons of advertisers
- 4:51Speaker 2: and money.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Yeah, does that? I don't know what that tells me
- 4:54Speaker 1: about Sean Hannity. Like in that case, I like, good
- 4:58Speaker 1: for him. I guess, like if you leaves it that strongly.
- 5:01Speaker 2: But I wonder if he's just trying to drum up
- 5:04Speaker 2: attention and maybe he's tired of Fox and he wants
- 5:06Speaker 2: to start a podcast and you know, get me undies
- 5:08Speaker 2: with Bill O'Reilly like, oh, yeah, yeah, have.
- 5:12Speaker 1: You listened to Bill O'Reilly's podcast.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I haven't.
- 5:14Speaker 1: No, I haven't. Is it out yet?
- 5:15Speaker 2: I think it's out. I think it exists, yeah, or
- 5:18Speaker 2: maybe not.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I he's doing well. Yeah, I mean I wouldn't listen
- 5:21Speaker 1: to it.
- 5:21Speaker 2: But if I if I was gonna listen to it,
- 5:23Speaker 2: even voyeuristically, and I would suggest you the same, I
- 5:26Speaker 2: would get it from some sort of third party source.
- 5:29Speaker 2: So I just to not give him the satisfaction of it. Yeah,
- 5:32Speaker 2: Like I don't follow Trump on Twitter, Like I look
- 5:33Speaker 2: at his profile to see what he said, but I'm like,
- 5:35Speaker 2: I'm not giving him, you know, three hundred million and one.
- 5:37Speaker 1: You know, Yeah, I don't follow him either. Yeah, it
- 5:40Speaker 1: would make sense. We're the real heroes, we really are.
- 5:43Speaker 1: We're the resistance. Yeah. Following Trump on Twitter? Yeah, still
- 5:48Speaker 1: tag him from time to.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Time, but you know, he doesn't see. But by the way,
- 5:52Speaker 2: unrelated side bark, Toby Keith mysteriously followed me on Twitter. Wow,
- 5:56Speaker 2: so about every you know, three or four days. I
- 5:59Speaker 2: just DM him something and then added to a thread
- 6:02Speaker 2: and he has not seen, nor responded, nor unfollowed nor
- 6:05Speaker 2: blocked me.
- 6:06Speaker 1: So fantastic.
- 6:07Speaker 2: If you're out there, we need, we need a ground
- 6:10Speaker 2: swell of awareness for this. I'll try to get him
- 6:13Speaker 2: on the show. All right, I'll see if you can
- 6:15Speaker 2: call in.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Should we start like a reply to Connor campaign where
- 6:18Speaker 1: our fan base is good at campaigns? Yeah, yeah, fastballing
- 6:23Speaker 1: and the Dungeons and Dragons exactly.
- 6:26Speaker 2: And as a man who's DMed many D twenty Star
- 6:28Speaker 2: Wars sessions during the summer of twenty ten, so please
- 6:32Speaker 2: do not think that I'm chastising role playing games.
- 6:36Speaker 1: That seemed like a deserved an airhorn. I don't know
- 6:38Speaker 1: what the fuck he just said, but just because, just
- 6:40Speaker 1: just because, to salvage the dead air that would have resulted,
- 6:45Speaker 1: that would have been all those words. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Sometimes I just get going and I'm like, by the way,
- 6:49Speaker 2: I'm on about four hours of sleep, So this is
- 6:51Speaker 2: the ideal time to do a conspiracy theory podcast.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah, this is perfect.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:55Speaker 1: No, my mind is open to all of it. I'm
- 6:58Speaker 1: seeing early morning.
- 6:59Speaker 2: It all is up. There's thumbtacks, string and newspaper articles,
- 7:03Speaker 2: the Vox articles. There's even one right in front of you.
- 7:05Speaker 2: We have a conspiracy board coaster. Ooh, this is bird
- 7:09Speaker 2: Yeah yeah for the un podcasting network. There's some solid
- 7:11Speaker 2: graphic design.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I need to update it. There are shows on
- 7:14Speaker 1: that that do not exist. They were more wishful thinking
- 7:18Speaker 1: than anything. Yeah.
- 7:19Speaker 2: I've been a part of a couple of those.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll get it updated. Not this one though, No,
- 7:24Speaker 1: this one, We're goddamn making it happen. Yeah, so, uh
- 7:28Speaker 1: seth rich it started. I guess what we should just
- 7:31Speaker 1: go through?
- 7:32Speaker 2: Yeah, just go through the official story the byeline for
- 7:35Speaker 2: this podcast.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Right, which is on July tenth, twenty sixteen, shortly before
- 7:41Speaker 1: dawn seth Rich was walking home while talking on the
- 7:44Speaker 1: phone with his girlfriend Kelsey Mulka.
- 7:46Speaker 2: First of all, already suspicious a Democrat with a girlfriend.
- 7:49Speaker 2: They don't like pussy, am I? Right? Everybody?
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah, right, Yeah, it's weird. That's a good that's a
- 7:54Speaker 1: fantastic point. I'm surprised that hasn't come up anywhere, just.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Like DNC Dixon cut, thank you very much. Is that
- 8:04Speaker 2: Howard Dean?
- 8:04Speaker 1: It sure is.
- 8:06Speaker 2: There's a fantastic conspiracy podcast about the Howard Dean scream.
- 8:10Speaker 2: I think it's five thirty eight. That a documentary series
- 8:12Speaker 2: about uh, you know, political happenstances or whatever. And basically
- 8:16Speaker 2: they said, if you played that audio within the room,
- 8:19Speaker 2: you could barely hear him screaming because that crowd was
- 8:21Speaker 2: going ape shit, you know, because he had this. Yeah,
- 8:23Speaker 2: he kind of did the Bernie thing before Bernie, the
- 8:25Speaker 2: Obama thing before Bonnie. He did a really cool thing
- 8:28Speaker 2: one time, which is Dick Cheney was having this big
- 8:30Speaker 2: fundraising luncheon that was, you know, like fifty thousand dollars
- 8:32Speaker 2: a seat. So he said, I'm gonna live stream myself
- 8:34Speaker 2: eating a ham sandwich and we're gonna take donations from
- 8:37Speaker 2: my campaign. And he outraised him, and I think I
- 8:39Speaker 2: thought that was so he gave give me aspect for
- 8:41Speaker 2: Howard Dean. And then basically the news media basically got
- 8:44Speaker 2: the raw feed from the microphone and just used it
- 8:47Speaker 2: and kind of created this gaff storyline to discredit him,
- 8:50Speaker 2: and it really it kind of sucked him over.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Yeah, because you can even hear in that in that clip,
- 8:54Speaker 1: you can hear the crowd in the background. Yeah, And
- 8:57Speaker 1: I would imagine if it was that big of a
- 8:59Speaker 1: gas in person like you, like a silence would have
- 9:03Speaker 1: just fallen.
- 9:03Speaker 2: People would have laughed at him. They were just they're
- 9:05Speaker 2: still screaming as there's a bunch of Dina holics out there.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Yeah, crazy, I'm back Howard Dean. The streets need you.
- 9:11Speaker 2: He does. He was he's gunning for d n C chair,
- 9:13Speaker 2: But I mean Tom Peesh shut him down. Yeah, it's bullshit,
- 9:17Speaker 2: So anyway, but we digress. Anyway, this is gonna be
- 9:21Speaker 2: This is gonna be a lot of me not knowing
- 9:22Speaker 2: anything about Seth Rich knowing a lot about obscure nomination
- 9:26Speaker 2: runs by political figures that have not been relevant since
- 9:29Speaker 2: I was in middle school.
- 9:31Speaker 1: That's the thing. There's not a lot to this conspiracy.
- 9:35Speaker 2: There really isn't. So rumors he's got he's got a
- 9:38Speaker 2: new job at the DNC. Yeah, he had a ship out.
- 9:41Speaker 1: He had just gotten a new job that would have
- 9:44Speaker 1: taken him to New York. He was living in Washington
- 9:46Speaker 1: at the time. He's walking home from a bar at
- 9:49Speaker 1: four o'clock in the morning, which bad call in Washington,
- 9:52Speaker 1: d C. All around, no matter where you are, And.
- 9:55Speaker 2: It's noted in one of the one of the sources
- 9:57Speaker 2: that they'll be in our show notes that he was
- 9:58Speaker 2: walking through a neighborhood where there's a construction going on
- 10:01Speaker 2: and there wasn't very good lighting, so they described.
- 10:03Speaker 1: As like a dark maze, which I've seen construction projects
- 10:07Speaker 1: in LA where they like shut down the sidewalk but
- 10:10Speaker 1: turn it into a tunnel. And if it's something like that,
- 10:13Speaker 1: like that's that's perilous. At four o'clock.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Yeah, you're literally walking into a haunted house of days, Like, yeah,
- 10:20Speaker 2: pretty much, but that weird, Like the scaffolding with the
- 10:22Speaker 2: tarping thumbtacked around it, it's.
- 10:24Speaker 1: A haunted house. About the crack epidemic.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. It's a fucking spooky Reagan dungeon.
- 10:30Speaker 1: So he's walking through the spooky Reagan Dungeon talking to
- 10:33Speaker 1: his girlfriend and she hears voices on the other end,
- 10:37Speaker 1: unknown voices, and then the call drops and that's the
- 10:41Speaker 1: last anyone hears of seth Rich. They find him with
- 10:44Speaker 1: two gunshot wounds in the back. There's like bruises and
- 10:49Speaker 1: lacerations on his knees and things like that, but no
- 10:53Speaker 1: money or anything taken. But they they rule it a
- 10:56Speaker 1: botched robbery. Yeah.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Well, one thing that seth Rich's parents went out and
- 11:02Speaker 2: sang after jumping ahead a bit to try to his
- 11:04Speaker 2: credit this was that his watch band was broken, you know.
- 11:07Speaker 2: So official story is that people were, you know, trying
- 11:12Speaker 2: to rob him, got freaked out by what they'd just done,
- 11:14Speaker 2: just bolted. You know. I don't find to be an
- 11:17Speaker 2: unreasonable explanation at all, especially considering the watch band was broken,
- 11:21Speaker 2: because if you were gonna make it a robbery, you
- 11:24Speaker 2: would have definitely have stolen all the shit, right, if
- 11:28Speaker 2: you're covering this up, you would have stolen watch, you
- 11:30Speaker 2: would have broken, you would have took it. You would
- 11:31Speaker 2: have fucking stolen the you know.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it wouldn't make sense to not to live for
- 11:36Speaker 1: fun because your brain gets smart, hey gets dumb man,
- 11:40Speaker 1: all right, sorry, yeah, it would make sense to stage
- 11:44Speaker 1: it to look.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Like a botched robbery smash mouth creatd eights. Uh nope, kid,
- 11:50Speaker 2: you guys didn't know that. Yeah, no, it really it
- 11:52Speaker 2: would have. They should have. They would have done their
- 11:54Speaker 2: due diligence. All right, right, I gotta assumed the political
- 11:56Speaker 2: assassins you know that are in Hillary Clinton's fucking speed dial.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Another reference from from what I before I had pubes.
- 12:07Speaker 1: And also a foreshadowing of the next episode of this show.
- 12:10Speaker 2: It is, indeed, it's all about my pubes. The conspiracy theory,
- 12:13Speaker 2: A lot of people say they're there. I've never seen
- 12:16Speaker 2: any evidence. Why is my toilet seed so clean? We
- 12:18Speaker 2: never clean it? Yeah? No, they would have fucking known
- 12:20Speaker 2: how to do this better, right right.
- 12:22Speaker 1: This being a staged thing doesn't make sense in that
- 12:26Speaker 1: regard the conspiracy around it is regarding wiki leaks, and
- 12:33Speaker 1: that's where shit gets kind of weird. But it took
- 12:37Speaker 1: like ten months for this to actually become a conspiracy theory. Yea,
- 12:40Speaker 1: for the longest time, people just said it was just
- 12:45Speaker 1: assumed it was a botched robbery.
- 12:47Speaker 2: And then also, I'll say I have a very hard
- 12:50Speaker 2: time believing that Sean Hannity is super passionate about finding
- 12:55Speaker 2: justice for a young Democratic campaign for you know, that
- 13:01Speaker 2: doesn't sound like.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Have the most Yeah, well, I listened to a podcast
- 13:07Speaker 1: that was about this stark reminder about how terrible ninety
- 13:12Speaker 1: percent of podcasts are.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Oh it's true. Well, it's the most accessible medium, right right,
- 13:18Speaker 2: you know, right, maybe outside of DeviantArt. Yeah, yeah, but yeah, no,
- 13:22Speaker 2: I attempted it because you had it in the in
- 13:24Speaker 2: our show prep notes, and I was just like, just
- 13:26Speaker 2: fucking yeah, you don't understand that our podcast is something
- 13:29Speaker 2: of a performance. You have to be cognizant of the
- 13:31Speaker 2: feat people are going to listen to this and ideally
- 13:34Speaker 2: be entertained. Yeah, and this it's just a shit show.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Yeah it was. It was bad times. But one of
- 13:40Speaker 1: the one of the things that they were really hung
- 13:44Speaker 1: up on was this idea that seth Rich gave documents
- 13:50Speaker 1: to wiki leaks that pertain to the Democratic National Committee.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Yeah, and this is it seems to be aside from
- 13:59Speaker 2: some tweets substantiating it by Kim dot Com more or
- 14:03Speaker 2: less pulled the fuck out of thin air right. Kim
- 14:06Speaker 2: dot Com is the founder of mega upload again, a
- 14:09Speaker 2: site that I used frequently in middle school. Finding a
- 14:12Speaker 2: through line in this podcast.
- 14:13Speaker 1: What was that site for?
- 14:15Speaker 2: It was basically like Torrents before Torrance. It was like
- 14:17Speaker 2: rapid share, you know, you get a zip file of
- 14:20Speaker 2: the new Kanye record and uh yeah it was. It
- 14:23Speaker 2: was cool. I mean I used it for a for
- 14:25Speaker 2: a lot of ship back in the day. There's a
- 14:26Speaker 2: there's a fantastic article about Kim dot Com. I forget
- 14:29Speaker 2: who published. It's kind of, you know, like a character
- 14:31Speaker 2: study or whatever. He is a like like a fat
- 14:35Speaker 2: shitty Bond, but he's like Kim jong un meets like
- 14:38Speaker 2: Bond dayling.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Yeah, he's like a dictator without a country. Really.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Yeah, he like he has this thing. He has a
- 14:43Speaker 2: sink on the Internet party, which is like his weird
- 14:45Speaker 2: political activist organization. He lives in essentially a castle with
- 14:50Speaker 2: a panic room full of crocodiles and weird like you know,
- 14:54Speaker 2: golden minecraft shovels and shit like that.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Yeah. I thought he was still. I thought he was
- 14:58Speaker 1: in prison.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Think he was for a bit. I think he might
- 15:01Speaker 2: be in one of those weird house arrests, like Julian
- 15:04Speaker 2: Sie type things.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Yeah, because it's it's one of those things where I
- 15:07Speaker 1: swear he got sentenced to like one hundred and thirty
- 15:09Speaker 1: five years and then you just see him out chilling. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 15:14Speaker 1: telling Seth Rich stories.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Yeah, he's well. And also Julian Assange too, that was
- 15:19Speaker 2: I think that was actually what stirred the pot. I
- 15:20Speaker 2: should we should say is that he mentioned.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Yeah, well, what happened is Julian Assange gave an interview.
- 15:28Speaker 1: We can actually we have a clip from it that
- 15:31Speaker 1: will listen to. In this interview, he's.
- 15:35Speaker 3: If you look at the polls, he needs a miracle.
- 15:38Speaker 3: In the American political lexicon, there's such a thing.
- 15:41Speaker 1: As just now. I assume they're talking about Trump here,
- 15:45Speaker 1: but basically he's going to ask Julian Assange about Seth
- 15:51Speaker 1: Rich your city here we.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Go, isn't October surprise in there? We don't even know
- 15:57Speaker 3: what you're sitting on.
- 15:58Speaker 2: I don't need the enemy on materials.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Wiki leagues, we should blowers go to significant efforts to
- 16:05Speaker 4: get us material and often very significant risks. As a
- 16:07Speaker 4: twenty seven year old, it works for the d n C.
- 16:11Speaker 4: We shot in the back, murdered just two weeks ago
- 16:14Speaker 4: for unknown reasons as he was walking down the street
- 16:17Speaker 4: and he.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Really looks like metrosexual jets.
- 16:19Speaker 3: That was just a robber, wasn't it.
- 16:21Speaker 2: No, there's no finding, So what are you suggesting.
- 16:27Speaker 4: I'm suggesting that our sources take risks and they are
- 16:32Speaker 4: they become concerned to see things occurring like that. But
- 16:38Speaker 4: was one of your sources then, I mean, we don't
- 16:40Speaker 4: comment on who our sources are.
- 16:42Speaker 1: To make the suggestion.
- 16:45Speaker 4: In the streets of Washington, because we have to understand
- 16:49Speaker 4: how high the stakes are in the United States, and
- 16:53Speaker 4: that our sources I feel.
- 16:55Speaker 2: A good better Wiki league come to us.
- 17:00Speaker 1: So it looks like the Earth is shipping remains of
- 17:03Speaker 1: the ice something.
- 17:05Speaker 4: That's what you're doing well that others have have suggested
- 17:10Speaker 4: that we h you're suggesting it too.
- 17:14Speaker 2: This is this is not the body language arcadence of
- 17:16Speaker 2: a person that is not lying. I think.
- 17:21Speaker 4: People there's not a conclusion, wouldn't be willing to state
- 17:25Speaker 4: a conclusion. But Commando more importantly of variety sources are
- 17:33Speaker 4: concerned when that kind of thing happens.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Nice dismount Julian Massage.
- 17:38Speaker 2: So the more that you see this ship with wiki likes,
- 17:41Speaker 2: you got to figure that they are just like a
- 17:44Speaker 2: like Julian Assange just gets like a fucking a gift
- 17:47Speaker 2: box full of like gourmet food and hookers like delivered
- 17:50Speaker 2: to that Ecuadorian embassy UH in exchange for just corroborating
- 17:55Speaker 2: the rights innocence in global conspiracies. Like I really I
- 18:00Speaker 2: I've come arounder the belief that he's completely under the
- 18:02Speaker 2: thumb of you know, some fucking new right. Yeah, that's
- 18:06Speaker 2: neo fascist lizard person tribuneral.
- 18:10Speaker 1: That's the thing. It's easy to see why someone would
- 18:13Speaker 1: would watch that and think there might be some weirdness afoot. Yeah,
- 18:18Speaker 1: because it's not like like he was trying to dance
- 18:20Speaker 1: around the issue a little, but not really like don't
- 18:23Speaker 1: we don't name our sources, but this brother was spooky though,
- 18:26Speaker 1: Like we don't name our sources, but this one twenty
- 18:28Speaker 1: seven year old just got murdered in Washington, d C.
- 18:32Speaker 2: They take some risks to be fair, that could be
- 18:34Speaker 2: any number of millions of people.
- 18:37Speaker 1: That's true. And what's interesting about that to me is,
- 18:42Speaker 1: on the one hand, I can see how a person
- 18:46Speaker 1: would hear that and jump to some conclusions. But also
- 18:49Speaker 1: I don't know enough about wiki leaks to know how
- 18:54Speaker 1: like it seems like there's some ties to Russia and
- 18:57Speaker 1: Mickey leaks, So this could just does easily be Russia
- 19:02Speaker 1: trying to stoke misinformation and put that out in the
- 19:07Speaker 1: public discussion.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Because I remember when wikiliks first dropped, like, you know,
- 19:12Speaker 2: it seemed like a fairly nonpartisan thing. There's a lot
- 19:14Speaker 2: of you know, support for it in the liberal media.
- 19:16Speaker 2: I remember Michael Moore going on Rachel Maddow's show and
- 19:19Speaker 2: saying that he had donated money because you know, because
- 19:21Speaker 2: of this rape allegation against Julianus Songe, which is now
- 19:23Speaker 2: you know, seven years old to show. Yeah, time flies,
- 19:26Speaker 2: And I feel like I don't know if it's necessarily
- 19:28Speaker 2: that Julian Assange is you know, he might just be
- 19:31Speaker 2: one of these like you know, libertarian figures that just
- 19:34Speaker 2: thinks people should have access to all this information. But
- 19:37Speaker 2: the people giving him that information definitely happened agenda. And
- 19:41Speaker 2: you see this like even with that Macron league that
- 19:43Speaker 2: just came out, is it's it's always the real documents
- 19:46Speaker 2: mixed with the fake documents. Yeah, and they're not distinguished,
- 19:49Speaker 2: you know, so then you know theoretically they're supposed to
- 19:51Speaker 2: try to sort this up, but they're only going to
- 19:53Speaker 2: do so good of a job, and then what gets
- 19:55Speaker 2: put out is always the veriacity of it is questionable.
- 19:58Speaker 2: So it's a it's a tough tough thing to trace,
- 20:02Speaker 2: but it's definitely fishy.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure. They also, I don't think he mentioned
- 20:07Speaker 1: this in the interview, but WikiLeaks also after shortly after
- 20:10Speaker 1: this interview, put up money for information in the case, Yeah, information,
- 20:16Speaker 1: like yeah, which I feel that don't they have more
- 20:19Speaker 1: cash than that? Yeah?
- 20:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, well clearly not looking at their graphic.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Design, but that's true.
- 20:24Speaker 2: I don't know why that's such a sticking point for me.
- 20:26Speaker 2: And I'm like, if you're gonna be a cool, sexy
- 20:28Speaker 2: and internet based thing, like get some fucking better aesthetics, man. Yeah,
- 20:34Speaker 2: you know, like the logo looks good in the static form,
- 20:36Speaker 2: but like just fucking doesn't necessarily need to drip. You
- 20:39Speaker 2: could just have like a you know, a turn down
- 20:41Speaker 2: the opacity on a spinning globe.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Behind it or some shit like that, just files dripping
- 20:46Speaker 1: back and forth, Oh yeah, or just like a you know,
- 20:49Speaker 1: one of the little apple things spinning around.
- 20:51Speaker 2: You know, there's a zillion different ways you could go
- 20:53Speaker 2: with this.
- 20:54Speaker 1: All right, we'll be working for WikiLeaks soon ideally. So yeah,
- 20:59Speaker 1: that's where the the conspiracy kind of started, was with
- 21:03Speaker 1: the Wiki leaks thing. But also around that same time,
- 21:07Speaker 1: Fox News puts out a story that quotes an investigator
- 21:12Speaker 1: who was allegedly working with the FBI who said he
- 21:15Speaker 1: had information proving that seth Rich gave forty thousand emails
- 21:21Speaker 1: about the or forty thousand Democratic National Committee emails to WikiLeaks. Yeah,
- 21:26Speaker 1: shortly before he was murdered. And these two things are
- 21:30Speaker 1: what set Sean had any way the fuck off.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, and I just feel like someone that that
- 21:38Speaker 2: low on the hierarchy, he's just gonna walk in and
- 21:41Speaker 2: plug in his flash drive and like look around, like
- 21:43Speaker 2: the fucking scene from Office Space and just get all
- 21:46Speaker 2: this like world imploding information. Yeah, like you don't think
- 21:51Speaker 2: like it's you know, uh, private server aside, you don't
- 21:54Speaker 2: think that this is well after that, there would have
- 21:56Speaker 2: been a little bit more scrutinous about all that.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Yeah, you would hope. I also watched the Americans a
- 22:01Speaker 1: lot though, Yeah, and I accept that as a fact
- 22:05Speaker 1: based record of how espionage during the Cold War worked.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I mean, after Bill and Hillary had that three way
- 22:10Speaker 2: with their secret service pagent. By the way, I showed
- 22:13Speaker 2: my got my mom at a House of Cards, and
- 22:15Speaker 2: there's a few moments in your life are gonna be
- 22:16Speaker 2: better than when your mom starts texting you because she
- 22:18Speaker 2: just saw the threesome scene in season two. Oh nice,
- 22:21Speaker 2: Yeah that was pretty amazing.
- 22:23Speaker 1: She's just like, what the fuck on it? That's why
- 22:26Speaker 1: I wanted you to watch it, mom, This two am now.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Yeah that I haven't gotten I've only gotten like three
- 22:34Speaker 1: seasons into House of Cards.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Season three's rough. Season four is pretty good. I haven't
- 22:38Speaker 2: had time to start season five, but that's gonna be
- 22:40Speaker 2: all I'm doing as soon as I get a minute here.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Yeah, you cut this short, Now watch House of Cards.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Yeah fuck this, guys, all right, Yeah, you wasted your
- 22:48Speaker 2: fucking extra twenty bucks a month live streamers, kick rocks.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Go see what Joe Rogan's up to.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Probably also talking about this, probably not that much different.
- 23:00Speaker 1: So yeah. Fox News runs this story about how this
- 23:05Speaker 1: investigator claims seth Rich was involved with the DNC and
- 23:10Speaker 1: that it was the DNC basically that had him killed. Yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 1: and this sends Sean Hannity into a lather, But then
- 23:21Speaker 1: a couple of days later, Fox News retracts the story. Yeah,
- 23:25Speaker 1: the investigator who was working on behalf of the family
- 23:28Speaker 1: who had also kind of said the same thing.
- 23:30Speaker 2: And this guy, this really was like a right wing
- 23:32Speaker 2: lobbyist too. The services and I don't know, if you know,
- 23:36Speaker 2: maybe he had some agenda going into the family just
- 23:38Speaker 2: accepted him based off of his you know, legal credentials,
- 23:41Speaker 2: and then you know, they realized that it was maybe
- 23:43Speaker 2: a bad decision. I'm a little unclear on that, and
- 23:44Speaker 2: I'm not seeing a lot of information to that effect, right,
- 23:47Speaker 2: But pretty much anyone with anything of any skin in
- 23:51Speaker 2: the game or anything of substance to say, has you know,
- 23:54Speaker 2: been like this guy was just murdered, you know, for
- 23:57Speaker 2: his for his wallet money, and they got scared. These
- 24:00Speaker 2: two robbers treated becoming criminals the way I treated being
- 24:03Speaker 2: a hip hop producer. I thought I could just get
- 24:05Speaker 2: a soundclick page in twenty twelve and then started, you know,
- 24:09Speaker 2: working from home with my fucking mixtape leasing. They're like, look,
- 24:12Speaker 2: we got the gun, all right, we got we got
- 24:14Speaker 2: the seck with a dollar silence like, yeah, yeah, it's all.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:18Speaker 2: The what I just did about the murder is way
- 24:21Speaker 2: worse than what Sean Hannity did. I apologize for that
- 24:23Speaker 2: whole riff, comparing it to my hip hop producer alias
- 24:26Speaker 2: thug Funny.
- 24:28Speaker 1: That's a real thing.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it was thug Funny, like Doug Funny. You
- 24:31Speaker 2: get it, Yeah I do.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean I didn't totally explain that. I get
- 24:35Speaker 1: the word play. Yeah, yehond that sounds sounds crazy, sounds crazy. Uh,
- 24:41Speaker 1: that's on the hundred I turned it on from the
- 24:43Speaker 1: nineties deaf Jam comic there.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Yeah, sounds crazy, sounds crazy. Man crazy Hamn Burger.
- 24:51Speaker 1: So yeah, the uh the guy that the family or
- 24:54Speaker 1: this the Republican lobbyist you mentioned. Yeah, his name was
- 24:58Speaker 1: Jack Berkman, and sounds like the name.
- 25:01Speaker 2: You use if you're getting a prostitute. By the way,
- 25:03Speaker 2: right right, Who is this Jack Berkman?
- 25:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like a fake.
- 25:06Speaker 2: What do you do sales?
- 25:09Speaker 1: I've work for the government, I mean fuck sales sales.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Constrict of Massa, hip fucking I haven't sell cars.
- 25:20Speaker 1: So Jack Berkman swoops into town fucking prostitutes and offering
- 25:24Speaker 1: to help the family. He's a former Republican lobbyist. He
- 25:28Speaker 1: offers to help him pro bono, but he also the
- 25:32Speaker 1: only thing he does is he raises one hundred and
- 25:34Speaker 1: thirty thousand dollars for a reward and then puts up
- 25:37Speaker 1: a bunch of flyers, which short of raising one hundred
- 25:40Speaker 1: and thirty grand I feel like pretty much anyone could
- 25:43Speaker 1: have done that for him.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, anyone that knows how to run a
- 25:47Speaker 2: just girly Things Twitter page and has access to a
- 25:49Speaker 2: Kinko's corporate card could have probably swung that.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, it didn't require all this goddamn fanfare.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:56Speaker 1: And he comes out and immediately starts clashing with the
- 25:59Speaker 1: family about what happened. He's going on record publicly as
- 26:04Speaker 1: saying there's no evidence of a murder. Family jumps back
- 26:07Speaker 1: in and says, yeah, there's kind of evidence of a murder.
- 26:10Speaker 1: And then he just all of a sudden comes up
- 26:12Speaker 1: with a new theory, which, for the longest time, everyone's
- 26:16Speaker 1: most common conspiracy theory was that the Clintons and DNC
- 26:20Speaker 1: had something to do with this. Yeah, and now he
- 26:23Speaker 1: comes out a few months back and says, no, it
- 26:26Speaker 1: was the Russians. He had discovered the Russians were hacking
- 26:29Speaker 1: the DNC, and if anyone was going to stop that
- 26:32Speaker 1: train from running, it was lowly staffer seth Rich. Yea,
- 26:36Speaker 1: So they had to have him killed. Yeah, which that
- 26:40Speaker 1: seems less probable than the Clintons. For some reason, it does.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I also feel like, just in terms of how this spread,
- 26:46Speaker 2: Republicans loved the narrative of like the one guy that
- 26:49Speaker 2: was going to stand up to the big political.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Machine, you know. Yeah, and it if those emails exist,
- 26:57Speaker 1: I'd be I'd love to see them.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:59Speaker 1: But that's what's crazy about this is we were talking
- 27:02Speaker 1: about that podcast that we both tried to listen to.
- 27:06Speaker 1: One of the first things that really struck me about
- 27:09Speaker 1: it was how they went through all of these conspiracies
- 27:12Speaker 1: about seth Rich and then they mentioned that it's all
- 27:17Speaker 1: tied to those baseless claims about Trump and Russia. Like
- 27:21Speaker 1: there's actually, it seems like more evidence regarding Trump and
- 27:25Speaker 1: Russia than this, and they're just so convinced that this
- 27:28Speaker 1: is what happened.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Russia didn't make all those spambots. They definitely made, all right,
- 27:33Speaker 2: what they did do was kill a guy with a
- 27:36Speaker 2: bachelor's degree because he wanted to, you know, move up
- 27:40Speaker 2: the ladder in politics.
- 27:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it doesn't make sense. Yeah, that's the thing with
- 27:47Speaker 1: this conspiracy. There's just not a lot to it right now.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know, obviously, the most of the major
- 27:56Speaker 2: sources that were promoting this, you know, at least the
- 27:59Speaker 2: name brand one the Foxes or whatever, had pulled it
- 28:02Speaker 2: after they, uh, Seth Rich's parents put on an article
- 28:05Speaker 2: and I believe it was titled, we are Seth Rich's parents,
- 28:08Speaker 2: please stop politicizing our son's death, which is a chilling headline,
- 28:12Speaker 2: it really is. I'm on their say, if I knew
- 28:14Speaker 2: nothing about the case, I'm on their side just reading
- 28:17Speaker 2: that headline that you got me in two sentences. Yeah,
- 28:20Speaker 2: you know. But Hannity, you know, he went on his
- 28:22Speaker 2: radio show and he was like, I'm not Fox dot Com,
- 28:25Speaker 2: I'm not Foxnews.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Yeah he's he said, he'll stop talking about it for now. Yeah.
- 28:30Speaker 2: And what it's like, dude, you can't be punk rock
- 28:32Speaker 2: when you work for Fox and you look like that, right, Yeah,
- 28:35Speaker 2: exactly that ship you know put out the song Emi
- 28:39Speaker 2: by the sex Pistols. If you're on fucking Fox, like.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, fucking Sean Hannity. This this does kind of
- 28:47Speaker 1: tie into what we're talking about next week also, which
- 28:52Speaker 1: is suicides that seem really suspicious. Yeah, but this one,
- 28:58Speaker 1: and we'll we'll obviously talk about Vince Foster.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Also which along with Seth Rich, I think is just
- 29:06Speaker 1: kind of turning into that Clinton body count that people
- 29:09Speaker 1: always talk about, Yeah, which is supposed to be up
- 29:12Speaker 1: to like almost twenty people now, Yeah, that the Clintons
- 29:15Speaker 1: are just wantonly murdering at will.
- 29:18Speaker 2: And it's like, yeah, here's kind of what it blows
- 29:21Speaker 2: on to me. The Clintons know a lot of people
- 29:24Speaker 2: and sometimes people die.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's that's gonna happen. I would be interested
- 29:30Speaker 1: to know what the body count of people who've died.
- 29:33Speaker 2: If you're seventy years old, and that would be if
- 29:35Speaker 2: you're two seventy year olds that shake hands for a living.
- 29:39Speaker 2: You know, Hillary Clinton kissed my baby, then forty years
- 29:42Speaker 2: later she was shut that she's cursed.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's that. That would be another another
- 29:49Speaker 1: thing to dedicate an entire episode too, is just the
- 29:52Speaker 1: Clinton body count.
- 29:54Speaker 2: I think that that needs to be uh on the dossier,
- 29:57Speaker 2: go by point by point. Yeah, it'd be fun one.
- 30:00Speaker 2: There's a lot to unpack there. I don't do we
- 30:02Speaker 2: have anything else to cover on seth Rich. I think
- 30:06Speaker 2: that's about all there is to say about seth Rich.
- 30:08Speaker 2: It's it's something that has been almost exclusively smoke and
- 30:11Speaker 2: very little fire.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's the thing. It's it's almost impossible to
- 30:17Speaker 1: make a substantial episode out of a conspiracy like this. Yeah,
- 30:22Speaker 1: but it feels like something we need to cover.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Well, yeah, just because I know I've been bombarded with
- 30:27Speaker 2: and I resisted learning about it until right now because
- 30:29Speaker 2: I knew the broad struck. It just sounds like bullshit,
- 30:32Speaker 2: and I looked into it was like, yeah, bullshit.
- 30:33Speaker 1: That's bullshit. It's like Pizzagate again. Well hold on, buddy,
- 30:38Speaker 1: don't you start talking about pizza Gate like that. There
- 30:40Speaker 1: goes our YouTube channel going down.
- 30:43Speaker 2: The pizza gates have opened.
- 30:46Speaker 1: The hell spawn march is forth. Oh shit, we're fucked.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, you know, when there's smoke, there's you're
- 30:54Speaker 2: fired finger guns. There it is.
- 31:00Speaker 1: That was worth it. So yeah, we're uh, we'll we'll
- 31:03Speaker 1: wrap this up. We're gonna if you're listening to the
- 31:05Speaker 1: audio version of this, we're gonna put this up on
- 31:08Speaker 1: YouTube as a video with the videos and everything we watched,
- 31:12Speaker 1: so you can like watch along all those ones, but
- 31:14Speaker 1: asten to it too, and also watch it live if
- 31:18Speaker 1: that's the thing you pay to do, because we might
- 31:20Speaker 1: say something racist. Yeah, that's the incentive. You know, it's
- 31:24Speaker 1: the magic of live streaming.
- 31:25Speaker 2: You might get kramered in front of that Iron Giant.
- 31:28Speaker 2: That's gonna be the new laugh Factory backdrop. You know,
- 31:31Speaker 2: people are like, can we please blur that out? All right?
- 31:34Speaker 2: This is really Yeah, it's really hard on those animators
- 31:38Speaker 2: that rely on those residual checks from the uh BI
- 31:41Speaker 2: annual reairing on FX.
- 31:43Speaker 1: It's a good movie, though, Iron Giant's to be honest,
- 31:46Speaker 1: they haven't seen it. You've never seen the Iron Giant.
- 31:48Speaker 2: I don't think so, No, that's crazy.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Yeah, everyone Iron Giant connor Maspaden have you ever rip
- 31:54Speaker 1: in bus? Yeah? Nah, they won't do it. So, yeah,
- 31:57Speaker 1: we should get out of here. We have to record
- 31:59Speaker 1: another one of these.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Indeed, we do it two weeks from now.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll see you then, right, well, see be safe
- 32:07Speaker 1: until then. Do you have anything to plug? You're doing
- 32:09Speaker 1: a Did you confirm the Comic Con show?
- 32:11Speaker 2: Yeah? Uh no, not yet, but you have mine. You
- 32:15Speaker 2: can just check out my podcast Mean Boys. That's scripted
- 32:17Speaker 2: comedy podcast with topical jokes, games, one line of sketches.
- 32:20Speaker 2: We just put out a new video of one of
- 32:22Speaker 2: our correspondent's attempting to buy used panties that were listed
- 32:26Speaker 2: on the Manchester Regional Craigslist page thirty minutes after the bombing,
- 32:31Speaker 2: for a segment called now is not the time?
- 32:33Speaker 1: You know?
- 32:33Speaker 2: Just about people that make inappropriate posts after tragedies, and
- 32:36Speaker 2: as a video of that up on our YouTube. Very
- 32:39Speaker 2: little that is funny about it has to do with me.
- 32:40Speaker 2: I just I am in love with it, and I
- 32:43Speaker 2: think you should check it out. I think you'd enjoyed it.
- 32:45Speaker 1: It sounds pretty goddamn great. Give this podcast good ratings
