Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Go ahead, say now, what is the season one's contest?
- 0:02Speaker 2: West Skates MLB season wins only baseball contest in town.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Two hundred dollars entry fee.
- 0:07Speaker 2: You pick every single team of all thirty over or under.
- 0:11Speaker 2: And it's a great overlay because there's so much bad money,
- 0:15Speaker 2: you know, recreational money in the pool. I've cast three
- 0:18Speaker 2: of the last five years.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Oh are you allowed to play? Yeah? Oh, I don't
- 0:22Speaker 1: know if you're allowed. All right, good quick, I'm allowed
- 0:24Speaker 1: to bed you.
- 0:25Speaker 3: I just can't bet very much on the app quick question.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Dodgers over under season wins tie a yellow riff.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Over under for the Dodgers under under one oh two
- 0:34Speaker 3: and a half. And on my stop and stop.
- 0:36Speaker 1: No no, no one three and a half.
- 0:38Speaker 3: And I'm just very killing me. This is very important.
- 0:40Speaker 2: It's good for the contest because more people likely since
- 0:43Speaker 2: we're a West Coast occasion, I would anticipate sixty percent
- 0:47Speaker 2: of the people will play the Dodgers over for the tiebreak.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Don't go one, O, two, go all the way down
- 0:51Speaker 2: to ninety nine or one hundred. The Dodgers probably gonna
- 0:53Speaker 2: be up fifteen games.
- 0:54Speaker 1: It probably mailed in September.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Load Manage Wow, thank you, Steve fezand argue that having me.
- 1:00Speaker 3: On, Guys, you can't argue that you do.
- 1:03Speaker 4: Miss to Orlando knock out of here. There's only one
- 1:09Speaker 4: Miss Orlando, and he's got a Mustang.
- 1:11Speaker 1: All right, well we got right, we got that's a
- 1:13Speaker 1: good introduction to the show, guys. Bill Krackenberger, John Lando,
- 1:16Speaker 1: Steve Vezer just walking through. I didn't know he's allowed
- 1:19Speaker 1: to bet here, Like he doesn't bet here a lot,
- 1:21Speaker 1: but he's a lot the bet in person, but not
- 1:22Speaker 1: on the app.
- 1:23Speaker 3: I got it.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Uh he did something wrong he won, but uh yeah, guys, busy,
- 1:31Speaker 1: busy week here in Vegas. As a matter of fact,
- 1:34Speaker 1: I've seen some of the numbers. My god, Las Vegas
- 1:37Speaker 1: absolutely the handle massive. Uh. I went through four or
- 1:43Speaker 1: five different sports books since last Thursday, and every one
- 1:47Speaker 1: of them packed to the rims.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Vegas is dead.
- 1:51Speaker 1: No, Vegas is not dead. That's all byes. I mean
- 1:54Speaker 1: just that you could just look in in the numbers,
- 1:56Speaker 1: and the numbers that in that count are the financial numbers.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I know the traffics down a little bit, but the
- 2:02Speaker 1: financial number is blowing it away every week and every year.
- 2:06Speaker 1: It seems like it's more you know, they give a forecast,
- 2:09Speaker 1: so they're forecasted numbers from last year and the year before,
- 2:13Speaker 1: which blew away the numbers. That's what they're going by,
- 2:17Speaker 1: and it's hard to keep up to those numbers that
- 2:19Speaker 1: were massively under projected. So you know, that's why people
- 2:25Speaker 1: say that. And people just like to have negativity. I'm
- 2:28Speaker 1: tough on Vegas. We're tough on Vegas. We are, but
- 2:31Speaker 1: I like to present facts or what I think is,
- 2:34Speaker 1: you know, an educated guest on things that are happening.
- 2:37Speaker 1: So massive handle so far in March Madness was just unbelievable.
- 2:42Speaker 1: And you know, on the men's side, because the women's
- 2:45Speaker 1: side had a lot of action this year too, I
- 2:47Speaker 1: was reading about but of course the men's side is
- 2:49Speaker 1: the big one, and so on the men's side, it
- 2:53Speaker 1: was actually a good first day for betters. The favorites
- 2:57Speaker 1: went sixteen and oh on straight up. On Friday. Yeah,
- 3:03Speaker 1: betters were able to roll those, you know, the parlays,
- 3:06Speaker 1: and people love betting moneyline parlays. But it was a
- 3:09Speaker 1: massive handle. Now here's why it was so good Saturday
- 3:13Speaker 1: and Sunday because Better's probably held their own. I'm not
- 3:17Speaker 1: gonna say they beat the casinos overall, but they beat
- 3:21Speaker 1: some of the casinos. I know casinos that lost money
- 3:24Speaker 1: sportsbooks on Friday, Thursday and Friday, really, but the massive
- 3:29Speaker 1: handle on parlays and money line underdogs. People loved to
- 3:33Speaker 1: bet money line underdogs too. It's not like it was
- 3:34Speaker 1: years ago. I always talk about when you want to
- 3:38Speaker 1: bet their favorite on the Super Bowl, the sharps flocked
- 3:40Speaker 1: to Las Vegas usually because the best money line in
- 3:43Speaker 1: the world is on the Las Vegas Strip. Because of
- 3:46Speaker 1: all the public money on the underdogs money line underdogs.
- 3:50Speaker 1: This year, that wasn't the case. Seattle was not the
- 3:53Speaker 1: best priced here in Vegas. That wasn't the case and
- 3:55Speaker 1: it may never be again. So anyway, going to the
- 4:00Speaker 1: this year's tournament, Duke was the most bet team, according
- 4:03Speaker 1: to a spokesman for the Score. The first round kicked
- 4:07Speaker 1: off Thursday afternoon, Duke seeing the biggest percentage of handle
- 4:11Speaker 1: to win the national championship. On the men's side, Five teams,
- 4:15Speaker 1: including Florida, were eliminated Sunday. That brought in more tickets
- 4:19Speaker 1: tournament tickets on Duke. Believe it or not, so to
- 4:23Speaker 1: win it all, but you know, it's a pretty interesting story.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I was reading here on liability, so this is from BETMGM.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It was a chucky opening weekend in the NCAA tournament,
- 4:38Speaker 1: with favorites winning twenty two straight games from Thursday to Saturday.
- 4:42Speaker 1: The sportsbooks we're looking for a few upsets into Sweet sixteen.
- 4:44Speaker 1: On the Future's book. Saint John's and Arkansas remained the
- 4:48Speaker 1: biggest liabilities for BETMGM, while the number one seeds are
- 4:56Speaker 1: all positive outcomes for BETMGM. I'm according to Michael Ranfell,
- 5:02Speaker 1: senior trader from bet MGM. So, in other words, the
- 5:05Speaker 1: number one teams, the big teams that are supposed to
- 5:09Speaker 1: be there and win. It's okay if they win, But
- 5:12Speaker 1: if Saint John's at Arkansas, one of those teams get there,
- 5:15Speaker 1: they're there, they could be in trouble. I say trouble.
- 5:17Speaker 1: They can lose some money. So that goes to show
- 5:21Speaker 1: me those money line underdogs. People still liked about those
- 5:24Speaker 1: big underdogs and the big money lines. You don't do
- 5:27Speaker 1: too much in March madness.
- 5:28Speaker 3: I don't.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I don't.
- 5:29Speaker 4: I've been living vicariously through our buddy Tyson, who's here.
- 5:33Speaker 3: You know, I had to tell you.
- 5:35Speaker 4: He told me a week and a half ago look
- 5:38Speaker 4: out for Arkansas week and a half ago.
- 5:40Speaker 3: I think you bet it too, right, sixty to one?
- 5:43Speaker 1: Wow? Yeah, wow, sixty one.
- 5:45Speaker 3: I tried. I was more into it last year if.
- 5:48Speaker 1: You were more of a horse racing. When I went
- 5:49Speaker 1: over to the watch, yes, look at him, light.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Up, Yes, I got only one that matter.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Kept on coming over me and saying crack seven nine.
- 5:59Speaker 1: One time you hit an eleven, the horse was not
- 6:02Speaker 1: number eleven. Yeah, you hit him in an exact him
- 6:05Speaker 1: or her. It could be a few yeah, And my
- 6:08Speaker 1: immediate the fault was, well, an eleven horse could be
- 6:12Speaker 1: a outside horse, very hard something for them to win
- 6:15Speaker 1: something they.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Have warm like the middle easier if you're in the middle.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Right right. So I thought it was a big thing,
- 6:23Speaker 1: but it really wasn't.
- 6:24Speaker 3: It's a favor of the favorite.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Yeah, wow, Johnny O favor.
- 6:28Speaker 4: I had a nice win again on the number eleven
- 6:31Speaker 4: with Cuddle the Kitten last week Cuddle the Kitten came in.
- 6:36Speaker 1: We may cut that out, Cuddle the kitten. Yeah, no,
- 6:47Speaker 1: john Yeah, onto a more serious note, not that that
- 6:50Speaker 1: was the serious You are betting those kind of horses.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:53Speaker 1: So you text me two days ago and said, hey,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I'm in first place. You were a chip leader, Yes,
- 7:00Speaker 1: in its tournament over a million chips, a senior tournament
- 7:04Speaker 1: over at Where were you at Venetian? How many people.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Enters Bullpark for three or something?
- 7:11Speaker 1: Okay, now can they rebuy?
- 7:13Speaker 4: Uh wait, there was four different flights, so in my
- 7:17Speaker 4: in my day one, we had almost just under two hundred.
- 7:21Speaker 3: I think we had one ninety eight in my floors.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Yes, so it can actually be more than four hundred
- 7:26Speaker 1: ninety three if you count rebus.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Right, I think that number is the number is in that.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Oh, so it's in there. So it's the same person
- 7:35Speaker 1: answers the second time. Yeah, they put that as another entry. Yes,
- 7:38Speaker 1: all right, yeah so four ninety three. Yeah, and you
- 7:41Speaker 1: had a ton of chips again. And I was telling Jays,
- 7:44Speaker 1: our producer, before the show, you guys weren't here. I
- 7:48Speaker 1: hate to admit, there's like something to that. You can't
- 7:51Speaker 1: be first, second, third, You're always showing me top two.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Oh.
- 7:55Speaker 4: I thought you were saying something different when I first
- 7:57Speaker 4: got here. First you're saying that it's not a flu
- 8:00Speaker 4: that I'm always up there.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Well, what happens? Something's happening that then I'm out.
- 8:05Speaker 3: I'm not winning, and Jays asked.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Me, and I said, yeah, maybe it's not attacking the
- 8:10Speaker 1: small stacks. You're maybe two conservative on a chip lead.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I don't know, like I don't know.
- 8:15Speaker 3: I feel like I tried it usually.
- 8:16Speaker 1: To attack those little small stacks that are just waiting
- 8:19Speaker 1: for a Kings and Ace King.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Okay, so for examples an example yesterday, my last two
- 8:24Speaker 4: hands yesterday, that took me out.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I had settled up how many how many people are left?
- 8:29Speaker 4: Okay, there's fifteen left, fifteen left out of four ninety three.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Yep, you got a million.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Chips that at this point I have, Yeah, I have no, no, no, not.
- 8:40Speaker 4: At first I furgot, maybe you're right. Yeah, yeah, so
- 8:43Speaker 4: I was up around a million, Like the highest I
- 8:45Speaker 4: got to was like one point four I've seen it.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Or actually no, the highest I got was one point eight. Sorry,
- 8:50Speaker 4: at one point I had one point eight. A couple
- 8:52Speaker 4: of bad beats, then a new table. You know that
- 8:54Speaker 4: when you get to twenty seven players, they do a redraw. Okay, right,
- 8:58Speaker 4: but then like my final couple hands, I had Ace King.
- 9:01Speaker 3: On the button.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Okay, the big blind ships it all in. He's got
- 9:09Speaker 4: two hundred and fifty k small stack I have at
- 9:12Speaker 4: this point, I have like eight hundred K.
- 9:14Speaker 3: I have Ace King.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Of course I'm calling he has nine ten and he
- 9:19Speaker 4: hits the ten and then he hits the nine on
- 9:20Speaker 4: the river, not that he even needed it. Okay, very next,
- 9:23Speaker 4: very next hand. I have pocket Jacks and I get
- 9:29Speaker 4: it all in pre flop and I'm end up up
- 9:31Speaker 4: against pocket aces.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Now and game over perfect example. Okay, the Jacks vers aces.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Yeah, like, tell me how my hand I should ship it?
- 9:41Speaker 1: No, because I want to know you. You could be
- 9:43Speaker 1: two overcards so short stack.
- 9:49Speaker 4: No, he had me dominated. Oh yeah, he had me dominated.
- 9:52Speaker 4: Ship wise, he min raised, and I shipped it all in.
- 9:57Speaker 4: You know, I got jacks, so I want I want
- 10:00Speaker 4: to get it down a heads up, Yeah right, because
- 10:02Speaker 4: I don't want weak aces in there.
- 10:04Speaker 1: You want the guy out of the hand actually with jack,
- 10:06Speaker 1: so probably want.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Right, But there's a couple other people I need to
- 10:08Speaker 4: get rid of. Yeah right, So he min clicks, right,
- 10:10Speaker 4: he min raises. I ship it all in full full
- 10:13Speaker 4: back to him.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Snapcoll. I'm like, oh god, and he flips over Races.
- 10:16Speaker 3: What do you do?
- 10:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I guess I don't have to ship
- 10:21Speaker 4: it maybe.
- 10:21Speaker 1: I now I understand more about that. You know, I
- 10:25Speaker 1: thought it was maybe you raised and the heat came
- 10:27Speaker 1: all in.
- 10:27Speaker 3: No, but even if he did, you're gonna call you.
- 10:31Speaker 1: You're gonna go.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Probably so so I last year's funny you say that.
- 10:35Speaker 4: So in the the event, I did really well last year.
- 10:37Speaker 4: When I came seventy third. My last hand or no,
- 10:42Speaker 4: a few hands before me last cent, I had Jack's
- 10:44Speaker 4: and I raised, a guy shipped all in and I folded,
- 10:49Speaker 4: and I told Madson what I did, and I thought
- 10:51Speaker 4: he was gonna smack me in the face. He's like,
- 10:54Speaker 4: if you can't get it all in with Jack's pre
- 10:56Speaker 4: flop at this stage of the tournament, what are you doing?
- 11:00Speaker 3: What can you get it all in with? So I
- 11:02Speaker 3: was like, oh really, I was like, I came over
- 11:04Speaker 3: to the rail.
- 11:05Speaker 4: I thought you were going to be proud of me
- 11:06Speaker 4: that I folded, and you're like.
- 11:09Speaker 1: No, who is this?
- 11:10Speaker 4: You went to Madison Jeff because he was actually on
- 11:12Speaker 4: my on the rail and he was like, no, you
- 11:17Speaker 4: got it. You just go and it is what it is, Okay.
- 11:20Speaker 4: So you know, I don't know, but you're I do
- 11:24Speaker 4: agree with you, Like there's something that.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Goes on because Jeff is you know, a multimillion dollar winner. Yeah,
- 11:30Speaker 1: you think you guys could sit down and say, hey,
- 11:34Speaker 1: you're you're doing great mid tournament, beginning mid yeah, up
- 11:37Speaker 1: until there's thirty forty people left, whatever it may be
- 11:40Speaker 1: twenty people, fifteen people, Like, what is it that you're
- 11:44Speaker 1: not connecting with there in the end? Now, I could
- 11:47Speaker 1: be wrong, could.
- 11:48Speaker 4: Be pokerience, right, yeah, but I yeah, you know it's
- 11:53Speaker 4: it's weird because I know i'd be curious. I don't
- 11:55Speaker 4: know what percentage of tournaments where I had chip leader
- 11:59Speaker 4: at some point.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Wait, but bet you it's pretty even.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Even top five and tournament trips.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Yeah, it's I'm consistently there.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Well, what was the Now? This is the people at
- 12:08Speaker 1: home dying. They know this. Now, this was a four
- 12:10Speaker 1: hundred dollars tournament. What was the rake? How much?
- 12:13Speaker 4: I don't know, it doesn't know, It doesn't matter, It
- 12:16Speaker 4: doesn't matter.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Why does it matter. I'm not gonna I'm gonna defend this.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Okay, So when we finish this right now, I'm going
- 12:24Speaker 4: over to the Horseshoe World Series of Pokers Circuit.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Four hundred dollars buy in the seniors, No This one's not.
- 12:31Speaker 1: A shouldn't be playing. Go ahead, No, go ahead.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Johnny Man, Okay, I'm getting it. I'm winning this one.
- 12:40Speaker 3: I'm winning this one, all right, go ahead? Yeah, who
- 12:44Speaker 3: cares what the rake is?
- 12:45Speaker 1: Oh god, they're gonna kill you. Who some guy's sticking
- 12:48Speaker 1: up for you. You actually have guys saying, well, crack,
- 12:51Speaker 1: they're bringing all these people together.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Yes, you know, like, well, no, why do you fluff
- 12:55Speaker 3: that off? That is the value we're.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Twenty five er care? Yeah all right, all right, well
- 13:02Speaker 1: maybe World Series a little bit different. It's coming up.
- 13:06Speaker 1: You can be playing at the gambling kind of a
- 13:07Speaker 1: bankroll left by the time the World series comes. Yes, okay, good, good.
- 13:12Speaker 3: You get to miss the boat. You're gonna miss the boat.
- 13:15Speaker 4: We're going in the twenty five K high roller this year.
- 13:19Speaker 4: You get Frankie, you hit the guys. Let's get the
- 13:21Speaker 4: band together. We're going We're firing not one, but two
- 13:24Speaker 4: bullets at the twenty five K. I don't ever tell
- 13:26Speaker 4: you that we're firing two bullets at twenty five K.
- 13:28Speaker 3: You're in or 'or out.
- 13:29Speaker 1: John. Let's go back to some stories, some real stories,
- 13:32Speaker 1: real life stories go aad. So why does this bother me.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm a gambler. We do a gambling show.
- 13:39Speaker 1: We're in a casino, but I still have that responsible
- 13:42Speaker 1: gambling side to me. And I know what it live
- 13:45Speaker 1: is to be broke. I know what it is to
- 13:49Speaker 1: lose a paycheck. I know what it is to have
- 13:51Speaker 1: to work two jobs and blue all your money every week,
- 13:54Speaker 1: and money is pressure in your pocket. When I remember
- 13:57Speaker 1: being a kid, I was I think I could sleep
- 13:59Speaker 1: now when I was after going to Atlantic City, Meadowlands,
- 14:02Speaker 1: Mamma's having a trifectave gambling places.
- 14:05Speaker 4: You know what it is to need to drive the
- 14:07Speaker 4: truck for Cainish?
- 14:08Speaker 3: Is that what you're saying?
- 14:09Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes, the Knish truck. By the way, people
- 14:12Speaker 1: don't realize that was one of the great scene around hers.
- 14:15Speaker 4: So good.
- 14:15Speaker 1: You know, I've seen it so many times. You still
- 14:17Speaker 1: got that actually zoomed in to see what was in
- 14:20Speaker 1: the truck and this Cainish is in the truck and
- 14:22Speaker 1: he's going around to different stores. Yeah, after blowing the bankroll.
- 14:25Speaker 1: But here's what I want to talk about. So New
- 14:28Speaker 1: York City casinos, there's three new ones coming. Research firm
- 14:33Speaker 1: says that these free licenses. They estimate about five billion
- 14:39Speaker 1: with a B in annual revenue from these three casinos. Wow,
- 14:46Speaker 1: it is second. Second survey here says five point six
- 14:51Speaker 1: billion and combined annual revenue from those properties and looks
- 14:56Speaker 1: you know, they look nice, they look they look really nice.
- 14:59Speaker 1: But the downstate New York market is significantly its significantly underpenetrated.
- 15:08Speaker 1: And there's a strong case for each of these three
- 15:10Speaker 1: projects to be the highest revenue generating casinos across the country,
- 15:15Speaker 1: which is now in Florida. The two Hard Rocks make
- 15:18Speaker 1: more money individually than any casino here in Las Vegas.
- 15:22Speaker 1: These three they're going to estimate individually will be one, two,
- 15:26Speaker 1: and three. And the reason why, uh, you know this,
- 15:32Speaker 1: here's the real reason why casinos out here generate a
- 15:36Speaker 1: lot of non gaming revenue. People come into shows, meals
- 15:40Speaker 1: and just have a good time. Vacation pulls over there
- 15:44Speaker 1: to more serious crowd. And the crowd there is going
- 15:49Speaker 1: to be there just to gamble. You follow, There's no
- 15:51Speaker 1: there's no real there's no real right, there's no real
- 15:55Speaker 1: non gaming things. There will be some meals, maybe some
- 15:57Speaker 1: nice thing.
- 15:58Speaker 3: It's degenerate city, is what you're saying.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Well, you know, you bring up the right word without
- 16:02Speaker 1: eything else talking about it. I actually wrote a little
- 16:04Speaker 1: thing up here because that's exactly what I feel that
- 16:07Speaker 1: I wrote. It's funny you say, de generous city. I
- 16:10Speaker 1: actually was typing up my feelings. So it's about five
- 16:14Speaker 1: to six billion a year. But at what cost to
- 16:18Speaker 1: the human race? Well, this these casinos be the successful
- 16:23Speaker 1: at the expense of New Yorkers. Thank you, sir. Gave
- 16:26Speaker 1: us some uh some good stuff here.
- 16:28Speaker 3: And then all right, and then what is that gambling? Well,
- 16:32Speaker 3: and then there's all that.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I didn't even write it up, that's true. No, let
- 16:37Speaker 1: me just tell you this. I know some people are
- 16:39Speaker 1: going to be against me here. Gambling might just be
- 16:43Speaker 1: more addictive, hurtful, and impactful than drugs a hundred. Now,
- 16:49Speaker 1: this is why I say it. This is why I
- 16:51Speaker 1: say it. It's mostly closet gambling. Usually you can't look
- 16:55Speaker 1: at someone that's coming into casinos or going to the
- 16:58Speaker 1: race book or something and you can't physically tell they're
- 17:02Speaker 1: a degenerate gambler or they're gambling more than they think,
- 17:05Speaker 1: because guess what, most people don't think they're they're gambling
- 17:10Speaker 1: more than they should be. Or more of a percentage
- 17:12Speaker 1: of their bank roll. But if they knew how much
- 17:16Speaker 1: money they lose gambling every year, it would shock them.
- 17:20Speaker 1: It would even shock them. They don't even realize that
- 17:22Speaker 1: how much money. You know. And I know this from I.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Was one of them.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I was one of them. I was there. I was
- 17:28Speaker 1: in the trenches making money with my cousin, betting, playing
- 17:34Speaker 1: blackjack down to the last card. We had so many
- 17:37Speaker 1: little edges, but I would blow it out the racetracks
- 17:39Speaker 1: as a kid, you know that, I didn't know. I
- 17:41Speaker 1: was twenty years old, twenty one years I was in casinos.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Is I'm sixteen, like a lot of people are, you know.
- 17:47Speaker 4: And with with drugs or even alcohol, you go and
- 17:52Speaker 4: you get high, you go and you get really drunk.
- 17:55Speaker 4: You sleep it off and when you wake up, technically,
- 18:00Speaker 4: as long as you don't do it again, you've done
- 18:02Speaker 4: the damage and now you're getting better.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Technically, obviously that's easier said than done.
- 18:06Speaker 4: You're gonna you're gonna gonna get highgain, you're gonna drink again.
- 18:08Speaker 4: But technically, when you wake up the next day after
- 18:11Speaker 4: a bender, yeah, you're on the road to recovery.
- 18:14Speaker 3: With gambling, when.
- 18:16Speaker 4: You wake up the next day, the funds just beginning,
- 18:19Speaker 4: meaning you probably maxed out credit cards, you borrowed money,
- 18:24Speaker 4: you did whatever, there's bills do there's still damage that
- 18:27Speaker 4: you have to deal with that you don't you're not
- 18:30Speaker 4: dealing with technically the morning after a drug bender.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Am I making sense?
- 18:35Speaker 1: Yeah? Of course you are. And it's where am I
- 18:37Speaker 1: getting money to gamble again? Where am I getting money
- 18:39Speaker 1: through rent? Today?
- 18:40Speaker 4: Now they'll say, well, it's the same thing. Well where
- 18:42Speaker 4: am I getting money get high again? And I get that,
- 18:45Speaker 4: But it's different with gambling because because you're you're you're
- 18:50Speaker 4: affecting so many The gambling is affecting so many other things,
- 18:53Speaker 4: right because you lost?
- 18:54Speaker 3: Now, how do I pay the power? How do I
- 18:56Speaker 3: pay the phone? How do I pay the rent? How
- 18:57Speaker 3: do I pay the car?
- 18:59Speaker 4: Kids need food, kids need shoes, all that stuff.
- 19:03Speaker 3: You're right.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I had an I'm not going to say who, but
- 19:06Speaker 1: I'm not going to say what what. I went to
- 19:08Speaker 1: a doctor yep, and their assistant knew who I was
- 19:14Speaker 1: and she was so happy. I was like, She's like, oh,
- 19:17Speaker 1: I watched one of your videos. A girl, a female.
- 19:20Speaker 1: So she went on to tell me about her sister
- 19:23Speaker 1: she said, my sister gambles to get her bills paid.
- 19:29Speaker 1: By the way, wait what she goes, Well, my sister
- 19:33Speaker 1: needs something for the kids or something. School's coming up.
- 19:37Speaker 1: You mentioned. I just made me think of that, and
- 19:41Speaker 1: I said, hold, hold it, I have to explain this
- 19:43Speaker 1: to me again. You're telling me, and it's true. I
- 19:45Speaker 1: guess I just don't realize it. You're gambling to get
- 19:50Speaker 1: bills paid. Maybe I can win fifteen hundred for this
- 19:53Speaker 1: month's bills. That was the number she said, by the way,
- 19:55Speaker 1: fifteen hundred for something. And I was like, oh my god,
- 19:58Speaker 1: that's so wrong.
- 19:59Speaker 3: Yeah, it's so wrong.
- 20:02Speaker 1: How many people do this, you know, even around Christmas
- 20:06Speaker 1: time or how many people would gamble and get themselves
- 20:09Speaker 1: more in a hole. It's so bad. It's so destructive.
- 20:12Speaker 1: And again go back to what I originally said about
- 20:14Speaker 1: it being more addictive, hurtful, and impactful than drugs. It's
- 20:18Speaker 1: closet gambling. No one even knows she's doing it. She
- 20:21Speaker 1: tells her sister because she's trying to borrow money off
- 20:24Speaker 1: her sister. I was like wow. I was like, you
- 20:27Speaker 1: can't give it to her. You cannot give it to her.
- 20:29Speaker 1: I couldn't I was having this contract.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Pay for the bill, pay the bill.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Yeah. The doctor thinks I'm crazy too. This was just
- 20:35Speaker 1: a relative check up thing. But he knows what I guess.
- 20:39Speaker 1: If he didn't know what I do, he knows what
- 20:40Speaker 1: I do now because he walked in. I said, Doc,
- 20:43Speaker 1: you got to give us a minute. I did it. Really,
- 20:45Speaker 1: I tells you got to go. I gotta finish the
- 20:46Speaker 1: story with the girl. I can't just tell her this
- 20:48Speaker 1: and the only give her half it.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Wait, do you know are you friends with the doctor?
- 20:51Speaker 1: Yes? I am.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, I am.
- 20:54Speaker 1: He knows.
- 20:55Speaker 3: He knows that, Doc, I'll be with you in a minute.
- 20:57Speaker 1: He knows I have gaming shows, but he doesn't really.
- 20:59Speaker 1: I just I don't want to tell them. It's a
- 21:01Speaker 1: very private thing, she confided in me. Basically, it's amazing.
- 21:06Speaker 1: He's the only doctor I know doesn't gamble. Though I
- 21:08Speaker 1: know so many doctors and people.
- 21:10Speaker 3: And they gain dentists.
- 21:12Speaker 1: I know many dentists. They can't know the old gamble.
- 21:15Speaker 1: They But it really is interesting that he's just thinking
- 21:20Speaker 1: about that story and thinking about what everything I said.
- 21:22Speaker 1: There those casinos in New York.
- 21:25Speaker 4: These are three casinos that aren't are not open.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Yet they're coming though, and they're gonna break every living human.
- 21:31Speaker 1: They're gonna kill people in New York. They're gonna really
- 21:33Speaker 1: hurt people. I'm sorry, I know, like I said, I'm
- 21:36Speaker 1: in a casino. It's just the way I feel. Let's
- 21:37Speaker 1: go on to smoking. So I was in Park MGM
- 21:42Speaker 1: for a couple of days. Now, I love Bavettes over there.
- 21:45Speaker 1: I love Italy over there. There's a couple of different
- 21:47Speaker 1: restaurants over there there. Yeah, I really like Park MGM.
- 21:51Speaker 1: And they have those smoking their casinos, a smoke for casino,
- 21:56Speaker 1: and I love it in there. And I realized how
- 21:58Speaker 1: packed it was every time I go, saying, you know,
- 22:02Speaker 1: they say it may not work non smoking casinos.
- 22:04Speaker 3: But they did it at one point here remember that A.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Couple of places did it. Yeah, even Atlantic City tried it. Yeah,
- 22:09Speaker 1: and they went.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Back to back East.
- 22:11Speaker 1: Never gonna work back East. It's just it's negative energy.
- 22:14Speaker 1: They need to never work.
- 22:15Speaker 3: I think it could work here.
- 22:16Speaker 1: They can have smoking rooms.
- 22:17Speaker 4: I don't know boardwalk I mean, but like when it
- 22:20Speaker 4: has smoking, but it doesn't ever seem to come into
- 22:23Speaker 4: good ventilation.
- 22:23Speaker 1: A lot of the places with the lower ceilings. Yeah,
- 22:26Speaker 1: so Missouri is trying to have non smoking throughout their casinos.
- 22:33Speaker 1: They're they're actually, you know, they're exactly what's the word
- 22:37Speaker 1: I'm looking for there.
- 22:38Speaker 4: I didn't even realize Missouri had casinos.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Thirteen of them. What they have non smoking sections, That's
- 22:44Speaker 1: the word I'm looking for. They have non of course,
- 22:47Speaker 1: right sections. But they're trying to get no smoking to
- 22:50Speaker 1: go through. But it failed in Kansas City, it failed
- 22:53Speaker 1: in Atlantic City. But you look at the American Lung
- 22:56Speaker 1: Association reports sixteen point eight percent of adults in Missouri,
- 22:59Speaker 1: four point five of Kansas City's smoke, considerably higher national
- 23:03Speaker 1: average of eleven percent. But if you look at the
- 23:07Speaker 1: percentage of people that smoke now compared to forty and
- 23:11Speaker 1: fifty years ago, seventy two percent less than nineteen sixty
- 23:16Speaker 1: than today, Yeah, seventy two percent.
- 23:18Speaker 3: My only gripe with the South Point is the smoke.
- 23:21Speaker 1: And there's there's a couple of sceno.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Only gripe with the South Point.
- 23:25Speaker 1: I can't believe at Durango where we sit, where you
- 23:28Speaker 1: guys sit, they allow smoking in the sports book. Yeah,
- 23:31Speaker 1: so the whole that's amazing thing. They allowed smoking in
- 23:33Speaker 1: this point. Yeah, they don't allow smoking here. But you know,
- 23:37Speaker 1: so some casinos allow it. You don't really tell. They
- 23:40Speaker 1: can't tell a lot. But there is a guy next
- 23:42Speaker 1: to us there. He smokes all the time.
- 23:44Speaker 3: I know at Durrango. Yeah, I know. And I like
- 23:47Speaker 3: the guy.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Oh he's a nice guy.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Yeah, he's a nice guy. A cigarettes driving nuts.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Okay, just smoke goes this way.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Now, as kids, did your parents My parents smoke?
- 23:58Speaker 3: Your parents smoke, both smoked both. I was little.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Yeah, see, they smoked. It was the cool thing to do.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:03Speaker 4: And my mom quit when I was like eight or
- 24:05Speaker 4: nine because the smoke used to irritable eyes.
- 24:07Speaker 3: And they smoke in the car.
- 24:08Speaker 1: In the car and you crack your window and I say,
- 24:10Speaker 1: we're gonna get a cold.
- 24:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:12Speaker 4: And then my dad quit when I was uh fourteen.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Oh wow, so you remember woken up? Yeah, he must
- 24:19Speaker 1: have believe.
- 24:20Speaker 3: My dad used to smoke five packs a day.
- 24:23Speaker 4: I'm not exaggerating, four packs of Kent. He smoked Kent.
- 24:26Speaker 4: I remember ken True Blue?
- 24:28Speaker 1: Yeah, True Blue. My mom spoke Virginia Sins. My mom
- 24:31Speaker 1: stopped about fifteen years.
- 24:33Speaker 4: I think I've said this before on the show, but
- 24:34Speaker 4: I can remember being a little kid. Specifically, my dad
- 24:38Speaker 4: was performing at Caesar's Palace here in Vegas, right, and
- 24:41Speaker 4: you know, I'm like nine or ten years old, and
- 24:45Speaker 4: I'm bored.
- 24:46Speaker 3: I'm in Vegas, right, so I want him to wake up.
- 24:48Speaker 3: You know, he sleeps late.
- 24:49Speaker 4: He's back then he did a midnight show at eleven
- 24:51Speaker 4: o'clock show eight and eleven, right, And I remember going
- 24:55Speaker 4: into his bedroom right when I was a little kid,
- 24:58Speaker 4: and I could find into where it's pitch black, because
- 25:01Speaker 4: he he would black out. That's where I learned how
- 25:03Speaker 4: to do that, like smash pillows up against the drake.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Yes, so there's no I still like coming into the room.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Okay, Well I'm on in a hotel. Yeah, I put
- 25:11Speaker 1: pillows and stuff in the grape so it's not away
- 25:13Speaker 1: from Yes, try.
- 25:15Speaker 3: It's a black box, right.
- 25:17Speaker 4: And I could find my dad because he would wake
- 25:19Speaker 4: up in the morning, light up a cigarette, and then
- 25:22Speaker 4: fall back asleep with the cigarette lit.
- 25:25Speaker 3: How he hasn't burned down, I'll tell him.
- 25:27Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 25:28Speaker 4: But literally I could see the little orange glow and
- 25:31Speaker 4: I could navigate to find him and to wake him.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Wow.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Well good, but I'm glad he stopped. Yeah, that's good.
- 25:37Speaker 1: So this is about some entertainment in town this weekend.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Luke Colmes I already crushed it, absolutely crushed it.
- 25:44Speaker 3: And I heard he was great.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Luke Colmbs outdraws Taylor Swift. Just think about that.
- 25:49Speaker 3: It's almost impossible.
- 25:50Speaker 1: How can we sell more tickets than the turnout for
- 25:52Speaker 1: Colmes Trounce the Super Bowl? They fit more people in
- 25:55Speaker 1: there in the Super Bowl. And he he out done.
- 26:00Speaker 1: He's out done Morgan walland the Rolling Stones, even Taylors.
- 26:04Speaker 3: He's got a great voice.
- 26:06Speaker 1: He's very humble too. He lives in a two bedroom house, wow,
- 26:10Speaker 1: with his three kids. Making he's really he's finally building
- 26:14Speaker 1: another house. But he wanted to keep his kids in
- 26:16Speaker 1: his roots. Yeah. But when he when he was a kid.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Now he's got three kids in one bedroom.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Yeah, and now now they're going to live there and
- 26:23Speaker 4: he's getting the new house.
- 26:24Speaker 1: He's building a new house finally. But I was reading that,
- 26:28Speaker 1: But so I look at this like these these people
- 26:31Speaker 1: like it, says a triple Bill of nineties R and
- 26:33Speaker 1: B Royalty TLC. Sultan Pepper. I'm saying it right, Sultan Pepper,
- 26:38Speaker 1: Sultan Pepper being in the rock and roll Hall of
- 26:40Speaker 1: Fame and like like not yeah, and meatloafs not in? Like,
- 26:44Speaker 1: how could you know he went in?
- 26:45Speaker 3: Didn't he? At the end? Not really? Yeah? Yeah, I
- 26:51Speaker 3: don't think that show is going to do well.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Okay?
- 26:53Speaker 3: Is that? Where is that?
- 26:54Speaker 1: That's an allegiance in Vogue Tour stop Fountain Blues there.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Oh okay, that'll be okay.
- 26:59Speaker 4: I thought you were I thought you were saying, here's
- 27:01Speaker 4: concerts coming into Legion.
- 27:02Speaker 3: I was gonna say, they cannot go to the.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Meat Loaf from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
- 27:05Speaker 3: I feel like he went in and see if.
- 27:07Speaker 1: You're continuing your you're let's see if you continue your
- 27:11Speaker 1: hope freak of getting. As of March twenty twenties, meat
- 27:15Speaker 1: Loaf has not been inducted in the Rock and Roll
- 27:17Speaker 1: of Fame. Oh veil, nothing wrong. There's nothing wrong with
- 27:21Speaker 1: continue to do something right the whole time. There's nothing
- 27:24Speaker 1: wrong with that.
- 27:25Speaker 3: All right, Well he should be.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Let's put Tonio meat Loaf and who else needs the.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Tang Tang t mobile? Like would I know any of
- 27:35Speaker 1: the songs?
- 27:36Speaker 4: Of course you would, really the Wu Tang Yeah, okay,
- 27:40Speaker 4: yeah you would.
- 27:42Speaker 1: I'm more Earth Wind and Fire.
- 27:44Speaker 3: I get it. I opened for them once. Really yeah.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Oh wow ye. Anyway, that's some stuff going on here
- 27:50Speaker 1: in Las Vegas. Let's go to Oh So this guy
- 27:55Speaker 1: stops me. I'm I'm, I'm. My car's parked. My wife
- 27:58Speaker 1: wanted to look at a coffee maker. Yeah, at this
- 28:00Speaker 1: fancy place. I wouldn't buy it too much money. There's
- 28:02Speaker 1: a summer and no crrigs. It was Williams. Then some sudden.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Notes, Oh you told me about this.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not spending twenty five hundred coffee maker. I'm
- 28:13Speaker 1: just not doing good coffee, though I know it's amazing.
- 28:16Speaker 1: My like Fez just came up and said, hey, you
- 28:19Speaker 1: should bet this.
- 28:20Speaker 4: You'll throw twenty five down that losses.
- 28:23Speaker 1: We'll talk about losses by any team over twelve and
- 28:26Speaker 1: a half max bet you should bet this. I'll bet
- 28:28Speaker 1: that for as much as they take. But I'm not
- 28:30Speaker 1: spending twenty five hundred on coffee maker.
- 28:32Speaker 3: So that's not right.
- 28:33Speaker 1: B I know, I know if she wanted it for herself.
- 28:37Speaker 1: I like coffee in the morning, and.
- 28:39Speaker 3: I like the bag.
- 28:40Speaker 4: You had that thing with the bag the one time, right, Yeah, I.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Like certain coffee, I really do. I was in Oh,
- 28:45Speaker 1: here at their VIP area here. Yeah, you can just
- 28:49Speaker 1: go in. They have these things a little disc you
- 28:51Speaker 1: put in there there. It's called an espresso so it's
- 28:56Speaker 1: like espresso shots and you can make it into a coffee.
- 28:59Speaker 1: It was unbelievable, like that machine I'd buy for two
- 29:01Speaker 1: hundred bucks. But anyway, I wanted to go see this
- 29:03Speaker 1: coffee maker my friend had and it was twenty four
- 29:06Speaker 1: ninety nine. I thought it was like like he didn't
- 29:09Speaker 1: tell me that part, but that Williams.
- 29:11Speaker 3: End that what is Williams Williams Soma.
- 29:13Speaker 1: There, they're like a high end Yeah yeah, yeah, no
- 29:16Speaker 1: keep that. So anyway, as I'm in there, a guy
- 29:19Speaker 1: comes up to me and says, hey, what what is
- 29:23Speaker 1: this car you got out there? That just came out?
- 29:25Speaker 1: The ky Ev nine, the electric big trumpet just came out.
- 29:29Speaker 1: He comes up to me, starts talking to me, and
- 29:31Speaker 1: that's who it was. It was Michael Morton. So Michael
- 29:33Speaker 1: Morton got up to me. I don't know, I know
- 29:35Speaker 1: the name, you know, I know the name hard Rock
- 29:39Speaker 1: with Morton's Peter Morton. Yeah, why didn't I put together?
- 29:42Speaker 1: This is the steakhouse guy? You it's more than a
- 29:44Speaker 1: steakhouse and they're not related. Yeah, so yeah, you know
- 29:47Speaker 1: their brothers and their brothers. He owns so many different restaurants.
- 29:51Speaker 1: So he's telling me he owns wanted to Win over
- 29:53Speaker 1: by across from the buffet and I'm sorry, I don't
- 29:55Speaker 1: know the names a little. It's really looks really cool
- 29:58Speaker 1: next to the next to the coffee shop there. And
- 30:00Speaker 1: he was telling me he owned like four restaurants in town.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Now he sold most of them. He was such a
- 30:04Speaker 1: nice guy, such a nice guy. So I seen. Yeah,
- 30:08Speaker 1: he's had several upscale dining places. It's the one on
- 30:12Speaker 1: the wind looks cool. It looks pretty cool. So anyway, yeah,
- 30:16Speaker 1: he's selling us. How la CoV that's it, the CoV wine.
- 30:19Speaker 3: And the balls are fantastic. Oh you've been there, baptizer Okay,
- 30:23Speaker 3: it's right near the buffet.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Oh yeahssay. Yeah, so he owns he owns one steakhouse
- 30:29Speaker 1: at the Virgin Crushing Greek at the MGM. So he's like, oh,
- 30:32Speaker 1: come on, just come by. Here's my number, come by,
- 30:34Speaker 1: you go offer me a comp Come on by, he said,
- 30:37Speaker 1: I never did. That was six months ago. It was
- 30:38Speaker 1: maybe a year ago. Was he had my car for
- 30:40Speaker 1: he had my car for thirteen months.
- 30:42Speaker 3: So yeah, he's like, come on, when did you want
- 30:44Speaker 3: to go better?
- 30:45Speaker 1: Yet He's like, I said, will you come on our
- 30:47Speaker 1: podcastle's talk about how you goes? Yeah, come on, I
- 30:49Speaker 1: never called him.
- 30:50Speaker 3: What are you doing? Now?
- 30:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna call him now that I see, well he
- 30:53Speaker 1: just listed his his his house for nineteen point five million.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Look at this beautiful house.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Will we get it? You want to get it?
- 31:00Speaker 1: But he was just a really nice guy. Come up
- 31:03Speaker 1: to me and and him and Johnny who who runs
- 31:08Speaker 1: that that steakhouse at the I almost at the hard
- 31:10Speaker 1: Rock of virgin the one steakhouse. Good guy, it's been
- 31:13Speaker 1: around a long time. And yeah, I just I just uh,
- 31:17Speaker 1: I just want.
- 31:18Speaker 3: To Vanessa in the steakhouse at the hard Rock.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Really not she a waitress.
- 31:22Speaker 3: She was a hostess.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Hostess Okay, yeah, yeah, because she's s warn enough to
- 31:26Speaker 1: take money. Because these hostesses, you know that they're in
- 31:29Speaker 1: a little short skirts at the restaurants. Now, ye fold
- 31:31Speaker 1: up a twenty and try to give it to them, Oh,
- 31:33Speaker 1: she'd take they run to the bus. What should I
- 31:36Speaker 1: do with your pocket? Give me a freaking table.
- 31:38Speaker 3: I know it's crazyright.
- 31:39Speaker 1: You know, I give I could try to give a
- 31:41Speaker 1: hundred that. I'll give you a three restaurants. You can
- 31:43Speaker 1: give a hundred dollars. You can't get it. But Vets
- 31:46Speaker 1: Peter Luger and the Italian at the area. What's that one,
- 31:51Speaker 1: you know, the big fancy Italian bone, give a hundred dollars.
- 31:54Speaker 1: They don't care, not coming down.
- 31:55Speaker 3: You're not getting a hundred back.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Yeah, they give it back, hand it back. I can't
- 31:59Speaker 1: do nothing. Yeah, anyway, I'll give you another one. But
- 32:03Speaker 1: I think is just okay. But these social media influencers
- 32:07Speaker 1: all try to, you know, push it up. Golden Steers,
- 32:09Speaker 1: you have one hundred dollars. They won't, they won't. They
- 32:12Speaker 1: don't care. And by the way, the last time I
- 32:14Speaker 1: went there for a steak just okay. The sides were good,
- 32:17Speaker 1: steaks were just okay. So and I hate that. I
- 32:19Speaker 1: hate that they have an influencer there that gets paid
- 32:23Speaker 1: from them to talk about them. That's easy to do,
- 32:27Speaker 1: that's easy to do. But you know, you're making something
- 32:29Speaker 1: look good that might not even be good, but you
- 32:30Speaker 1: get paid to do it. Another one barries together. I
- 32:35Speaker 1: was at Barrieress last week. You weren't there, Okay, Barrys
- 32:38Speaker 1: was Barries very good. I think I was at the
- 32:41Speaker 1: chef's table. Barry came in and they have a rib cap.
- 32:44Speaker 1: That's fantastic, you know, and who's our friend down there?
- 32:47Speaker 1: He'll easily accomplish for Richie will comp it, you know
- 32:51Speaker 1: easily there. I have about three hundred dollars in comps
- 32:54Speaker 1: there too, So we should go one night, all right,
- 32:56Speaker 1: get yeah, you're in, you're in anyway, Chuck Norris died,
- 33:04Speaker 1: so my buddy, my buddy, Frankie called me up and
- 33:06Speaker 1: it's like, you realize how legendary Chuck Norris is. She's
- 33:09Speaker 1: just such a legendary. I've never seen a movie, probably
- 33:12Speaker 1: the Chuck Dars. I can't think of a movie anyway.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Never just Ranger ever. But however, I met Chuck Darrish.
- 33:19Speaker 1: I was in nineteen I think it was nineteen eighty eight.
- 33:22Speaker 1: You know, it's funny and people hold you to exactly
- 33:24Speaker 1: what you say. It was a Tyson Spins fight or
- 33:26Speaker 1: the Tyson Holmes fight. I believe it was around nineteen
- 33:29Speaker 1: eighty eight, eighty nine, something like that. Eighty seven.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Michael Spinks, Michael Spinks.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Yeah, Holmes Holmes Tyson and then spak Yeah.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Yeah, Space sizing was like the ninety second fire.
- 33:42Speaker 1: We had great yeapey yeah, ninety one seconds, I think
- 33:44Speaker 1: it was. I had great seats even back then as
- 33:48Speaker 1: a teenager. I got lucky with seats there. Got to
- 33:52Speaker 1: go up and wow, met a few of the different
- 33:55Speaker 1: stars and he was so nice. There wasn't We didn't
- 33:58Speaker 1: have camera phones, we had no all nice time. He
- 34:01Speaker 1: signed beautiful autograph, took a photo with it. Yeah, he
- 34:05Speaker 1: was really having my story camera Yeah. Remember, yeah, just one.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Let me tell you waltsh was really nice that day.
- 34:13Speaker 1: I forgot about it. Walter Peyton so nice, signed to autograph,
- 34:18Speaker 1: very nice guy. Richard Pryor, so nice that he was.
- 34:24Speaker 1: He was so nice. Yeah, you know, I just think
- 34:26Speaker 1: about how legendary of those guys are now thinking about
- 34:29Speaker 1: Walter Payton, one of the best running backs ever.
- 34:32Speaker 3: Sweetness, such a nice guy.
- 34:33Speaker 1: And I hate to say Jack wasn't nice. He's the
- 34:35Speaker 1: one that wasn't nice that day. I love, love, love
- 34:38Speaker 1: Jack Nicholson and he was just like it, wouldn't give
- 34:42Speaker 1: anyone an autograph, push him by it. Yeah. Now, if
- 34:44Speaker 1: I realized that was a Jack, You're from Neptune, New Jersey.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Come on, you're a little bust out town here like me.
- 34:50Speaker 1: I mean, we're fine. But anyway, that was just something
- 34:53Speaker 1: when I seen he died and Frankie was telling me
- 34:55Speaker 1: how he was.
- 34:57Speaker 3: Ninety something, right eighty six, and.
- 34:59Speaker 1: How he was such a tough guy. A story out
- 35:03Speaker 1: there now that he went to. Well, first of all,
- 35:06Speaker 1: I'll tell you this guy, he was such a martial
- 35:09Speaker 1: arts expert. He trained Priscilla Presley, Steve McQueen, Donnie Marie Osmond,
- 35:14Speaker 1: Michael Land, and James Garner. He trained all these people
- 35:18Speaker 1: for you know, personally personal training sessions. That's how much
- 35:21Speaker 1: of it he was into his craft. And even you
- 35:26Speaker 1: could even say maybe some of the UFC. He was
- 35:28Speaker 1: at some of the first UFC fights in Atlantic City
- 35:31Speaker 1: at Trump Castle. I was reading the whole story about that.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Yeah he was. Were you there, of course you were there,
- 35:39Speaker 1: but back in the day, the tough Castle. But you
- 35:42Speaker 1: know why, I Frankly was telling me what a tough
- 35:43Speaker 1: guy was. So he went to Hawaii. Ten days before
- 35:47Speaker 1: his death, he posted a viral video to social media
- 35:51Speaker 1: show him sparring with a partner. And not only that,
- 35:55Speaker 1: he went to KWI and suffered a medical emergency. The
- 36:00Speaker 1: the word out there got TMZ and stuff is he
- 36:04Speaker 1: knew he was sick, but he was so much of
- 36:06Speaker 1: a tough guy. He didn't want his own kids to
- 36:08Speaker 1: watch him suffers at the end. And he went there
- 36:11Speaker 1: and wrote them all three kids personalized notes and letters.
- 36:14Speaker 1: He went this knowing, Yeah, this is a TMZ, which
- 36:18Speaker 1: is they're kind of like a national inquir who knows
- 36:20Speaker 1: if it's right or not.
- 36:21Speaker 3: They get it right, I believe it or not, and
- 36:23Speaker 3: they get it right.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Well, anyway, they don't always get it right.
- 36:28Speaker 3: They usually get it right.
- 36:30Speaker 1: But anyway, even John walked away, j W you said
- 36:33Speaker 1: that that was the end of that.
- 36:35Speaker 3: We're not even recording he had stopped.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Uh, you know, it's it's interesting with the Raiders now
- 36:42Speaker 1: that Crosby the failed trade with Crosby. It's interesting that
- 36:47Speaker 1: the Raiders have gotten some gambling action on their season wins.
- 36:52Speaker 1: And yeah, and they're they're listen, I hate to even
- 36:55Speaker 1: say this increased betting action on Las Vegas to win
- 36:58Speaker 1: the Super Bowl. Come on, even I'm.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Not that delusional.
- 37:04Speaker 1: God, come on, that means John's emitting. He's delusional. Yeah,
- 37:09Speaker 1: I don't understand that if there's yes and knows on that. Yeah,
- 37:13Speaker 1: I can't believe that people would be betting. Isn't that
- 37:16Speaker 1: just that would really just be a waste of money
- 37:18Speaker 1: betting on something like that.
- 37:19Speaker 4: What do you want to say, John, I was just
- 37:21Speaker 4: gonna say, speaking of Super Bowl, you see, if the
- 37:24Speaker 4: Bronco has been doing right, they've added a lot of players.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Bill, John, you put people on homeless shelters. You don't
- 37:30Speaker 1: want to stop.
- 37:30Speaker 3: I mean, what do you mean.
- 37:31Speaker 4: I gave people the team that had the best record
- 37:34Speaker 4: in the NFL last year at the beginning of the year.
- 37:37Speaker 3: All you had to do is listen to me. I
- 37:39Speaker 3: might be the goat. Bill.
- 37:42Speaker 1: No, guys are weekly wager wires, the great first week
- 37:47Speaker 1: in the tournament, the glasses, you know. But that's a
- 37:51Speaker 1: good idea. You don't what Tyson's right? Talk a little
- 37:53Speaker 1: about baseball in a second, all right, But so this
- 37:55Speaker 1: this person, it looks like they bought let's see here.
- 38:01Speaker 1: And I apologize for not really studying this one ahead
- 38:04Speaker 1: of time. So this is you said it was a
- 38:06Speaker 1: three team parlay, and I'm not looking at a three
- 38:08Speaker 1: team parlay. I'm looking at Saint John's future.
- 38:12Speaker 3: Oh you're right, yeah, I must have seen an older
- 38:14Speaker 3: Yeah you did.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Okay, sorry guys for that. So this is the one
- 38:18Speaker 1: I seen today.
- 38:19Speaker 4: And if you said last week was when I pull
- 38:21Speaker 4: out an email, it's at three team.
- 38:23Speaker 1: This is very interesting this one this week?
- 38:25Speaker 3: Wow or wid your wires look, get at it.
- 38:27Speaker 1: It's a five hundred dollars bet to win sixty three
- 38:30Speaker 1: thousand on Saint John's to be the winner national champion.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Five hundred dollars to win sixty three thousand, one hundred
- 38:39Speaker 1: and twenty five to one. Now the currnage is thirty
- 38:44Speaker 1: to one, so it has about a two thousand dollars
- 38:47Speaker 1: bet value fifteen hundred dollars profit. So would you buy
- 38:51Speaker 1: out now? I feel this, If you're betting five hundred dollars,
- 38:56Speaker 1: it means you have that kind of bank roll. You're
- 38:59Speaker 1: gonna win three times your bank role fifteen hundred dollars. No,
- 39:03Speaker 1: I don't think you cash out at this point.
- 39:07Speaker 3: No way.
- 39:08Speaker 1: Well, you're playing duke now, you're playing duke in this game,
- 39:10Speaker 1: in this next game, in this next game. I understand
- 39:13Speaker 1: you're playing duke, but you're still thirty to one if
- 39:17Speaker 1: you were to bet that future. Now that showing that,
- 39:20Speaker 1: that shows me I could probably get better than thirty
- 39:22Speaker 1: to one. But you're playing Duke in this game, and
- 39:25Speaker 1: there's a lot of people that actually like Saint John's
- 39:28Speaker 1: in this matchup against Duke. So Saint John's is a
- 39:32Speaker 1: six and a half point underdog. They were seven. This
- 39:36Speaker 1: is not Saint John's gonna beat them. I mean, we've
- 39:38Speaker 1: just seen Sianna threatening them. We just seen that. We've
- 39:41Speaker 1: seen some other teams that we were really you know,
- 39:44Speaker 1: I don't know if they overlooked them or something, but
- 39:46Speaker 1: we've just seen some other things here. I say absolutely not.
- 39:51Speaker 1: You do not sell this ticket now for you know,
- 39:56Speaker 1: you're two thousand and thirty two dollars fifteen to thirty
- 40:00Speaker 1: to bet profit. I say you wait on this, go
- 40:03Speaker 1: one more round. Only because you're saying that you're betting
- 40:08Speaker 1: five hundred dollars, you're only gonna you win fifteen hundred's
- 40:11Speaker 1: three x. You're looking to win sixty three thousand. So
- 40:14Speaker 1: maybe next round, looking to see if the ticket's worth
- 40:16Speaker 1: over at wagerwire dot com and the wager Wire app.
- 40:20Speaker 1: And that's the thing. So Tysan just said something true.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Baseball starts tonight Tonight.
- 40:25Speaker 3: Yanks are on Netflix Tonight on Netflix.
- 40:28Speaker 1: On Netflix, which you aware of that? Yeah, I am,
- 40:30Speaker 1: I am available. I just found out about it that
- 40:32Speaker 1: at the top of Netflix. So Yankee Yankees are playing
- 40:35Speaker 1: tonight versus San fran And you know, like it's great
- 40:39Speaker 1: to have opening Day. It just doesn't feel like March
- 40:43Speaker 1: that that we should be playing baseball in March twenty fifth.
- 40:46Speaker 4: Isn't feel like he's getting earlier and earlier every back
- 40:49Speaker 4: East year.
- 40:50Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, it's not even like it's not even
- 40:52Speaker 1: the seventies out.
- 40:55Speaker 3: You still might be snowed out.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I just think that it's it just
- 40:59Speaker 1: seems like it's so it just seems like it's cold
- 41:02Speaker 1: to me, and baseball is starting up. Now, look at
- 41:05Speaker 1: this game tonight the Yanks San fran I'm gonna use
- 41:08Speaker 1: the line right here at Super Book minus twenty one
- 41:11Speaker 1: come back a dollar eleven. That's the way baseball is
- 41:14Speaker 1: supposed to be. I see there's other casinos that have
- 41:16Speaker 1: that too, South Point, some other casinos in town that
- 41:21Speaker 1: have ten cent lines. That means a dollar twenty comes
- 41:24Speaker 1: back plus a dollar ten. Now that's the only way
- 41:27Speaker 1: I played with baseball. For decades. The new sportsbooks came
- 41:30Speaker 1: to the country, and now they made it minus dollar
- 41:33Speaker 1: twenty even money, so it's ten cents more. You're not
- 41:38Speaker 1: getting it's so wrong, but we've conditioned society to be
- 41:43Speaker 1: used to those type of lines. So absolutely ridiculous, but
- 41:49Speaker 1: I get it. The kids don't know any better. They've
- 41:51Speaker 1: only started betting on sports four or five, six years ago.
- 41:54Speaker 1: And even in town here, I'm looking at some of
- 41:57Speaker 1: the bigger casinos, minus a dollar eighteen plus one zero
- 42:01Speaker 1: six at one of the biggest shops in town that
- 42:04Speaker 1: everyone likes to go to. It's just such price gouging.
- 42:07Speaker 1: It bothers me. It bothers me. Even some of the
- 42:10Speaker 1: big shops off shore, like the Pinnacles. They'll start now, okay,
- 42:14Speaker 1: dollar twenty four, come back a dollar fourteen, but immediately
- 42:17Speaker 1: at a dollar thirty they come back a dollar eighteen
- 42:19Speaker 1: instead of a dollar twenty. I know it doesn't sound
- 42:21Speaker 1: like much. It's amazing what has happened. And I think
- 42:25Speaker 1: that some of these casinos I'm seeing this outpoint here,
- 42:28Speaker 1: I'm seeing their breakage looks like minus a dollar fifty
- 42:32Speaker 1: come back a dollar forty. I'm looking at Boston Cincinnati.
- 42:35Speaker 1: That's the way it was. Minus a dollar fifty, come
- 42:38Speaker 1: back a dollar forty. So that's always the way it was.
- 42:41Speaker 1: They still make a ton of money because they have
- 42:42Speaker 1: so much volume, because there's so many teams now. I
- 42:45Speaker 1: think Southpoint experimented last year with this going to a
- 42:49Speaker 1: wider margin and realize their volume significantly dropped. And I
- 42:54Speaker 1: think Chris Andrews would not be asked asking I did
- 42:57Speaker 1: not ask him this, but I think he must have
- 43:00Speaker 1: want to Michael and said, hey, Michael, we want to
- 43:01Speaker 1: get the baseball business back. I'm guessing it's a hypothesis.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Hypothesis so to see that, but I like to see
- 43:08Speaker 1: here Super Book does start their lines here. It looks
- 43:12Speaker 1: like at the ten cent lines, I'm seeing both Soup
- 43:16Speaker 1: Point and Super Book minus a dollar eighty on Houston,
- 43:19Speaker 1: come back a dollar sixty. That was that was the
- 43:22Speaker 1: old breakage was a dollar eighty. So to see that
- 43:26Speaker 1: makes me pretty happy.
- 43:27Speaker 3: Can you pull up the futures?
- 43:29Speaker 1: Yeah? What do you want?
- 43:29Speaker 3: Baseball futures?
- 43:30Speaker 1: Yeah? You know, what do you what do you want?
- 43:31Speaker 1: I want?
- 43:31Speaker 3: I want to go on the record.
- 43:33Speaker 4: It's time to go on the record bill beginning of
- 43:35Speaker 4: the season.
- 43:36Speaker 3: So there's no debate. Did I say it? Did I
- 43:40Speaker 3: predict it? Here we're going to go on the record.
- 43:42Speaker 4: I'm going to give you two teams in each league
- 43:44Speaker 4: I want you to watch.
- 43:45Speaker 1: All right, go ahead.
- 43:46Speaker 4: Obviously, the first one is the Dodgers, who are most likely.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Now, what do you want? The Futures to win the
- 43:50Speaker 1: world in the World Series? Win the World Series?
- 43:52Speaker 4: Dodgers to win the World Series? Here's what I get it,
- 43:55Speaker 4: And I know it's silly to be I agree, I agree,
- 43:59Speaker 4: I agree, But I'm telling you Dodgers are.
- 44:01Speaker 3: Most likely going to win the World Series.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Now, let me get beat guys. Let me give you
- 44:05Speaker 1: to one you cannot bet, Okay, let me want to
- 44:08Speaker 1: I want to gyues, No, I want to lay.
- 44:10Speaker 4: Okay, you want a National League team that can can
- 44:13Speaker 4: win the World Series?
- 44:14Speaker 3: I'm sleeping dog.
- 44:16Speaker 1: Go ahead.
- 44:17Speaker 3: What are the Pittsburgh Pirates to win the World Series?
- 44:18Speaker 3: Of God?
- 44:20Speaker 1: Even though I like their over season wins, what are
- 44:22Speaker 1: the Pittsburgh Let's see, they got to be one hundred
- 44:25Speaker 1: hundred to one, sixty to one, you get a hundred
- 44:28Speaker 1: to one.
- 44:28Speaker 3: I remember I said it, Remember I said it.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Okay, they're going to be improved.
- 44:32Speaker 4: Go over the American League. What are the Orioles to
- 44:33Speaker 4: win the World Series.
- 44:34Speaker 1: Oriols are the most bet on teams right now, the
- 44:37Speaker 1: most volume. The Oriols are the most volume on one
- 44:41Speaker 1: of the sports books I know right now. The risk
- 44:44Speaker 1: department loses money if the Ools wins the World Series.
- 44:46Speaker 1: You must have read the article. I didn't read them
- 44:49Speaker 1: read Orioles are twenty five to one.
- 44:52Speaker 4: That's good bet. It's a good bet. Okay, now ready
- 44:54Speaker 4: I got one more American League?
- 44:55Speaker 1: Ready, go ahead?
- 44:58Speaker 3: What are the Chicago White Sox.
- 45:00Speaker 1: They're gonna be improved too. You got this off somebody.
- 45:02Speaker 3: I didn't get this.
- 45:02Speaker 1: You run out.
- 45:03Speaker 3: I'm a baseball guy talking about over. I don't listened
- 45:07Speaker 3: to any of these people. Come on, stop it. This
- 45:10Speaker 3: is my Jameson.
- 45:11Speaker 1: What are you saying? He knows people know baseball.
- 45:13Speaker 3: I know baseball. The White Sox got a scary young team.
- 45:19Speaker 3: They probably well, I'm just saying. So here's where I
- 45:23Speaker 3: keep going wrong?
- 45:24Speaker 1: Is I shambling?
- 45:26Speaker 3: I should do World Series?
- 45:28Speaker 4: I should do it all the way right, win the division,
- 45:30Speaker 4: win the this whin the that.
- 45:32Speaker 1: I have no problem. You go over on season wins
- 45:34Speaker 1: on the Pirates and White Sox.
- 45:35Speaker 4: Okay, but but remember I'm the guy that gave out
- 45:38Speaker 4: Rangers sixty to one beginning of the year.
- 45:41Speaker 1: You think about twenty three along five or six other teams,
- 45:45Speaker 1: but you did give out No. I gotta go back
- 45:48Speaker 1: to the table, go back to the video tape. You
- 45:51Speaker 1: remember Wolf.
- 45:52Speaker 4: Orioles and White Sox in the American League, Dodgers Pirates
- 45:56Speaker 4: in the National League.
- 45:57Speaker 1: All right, guys, we'll see you next week on Wise
- 46:00Speaker 1: Action
