- 1:03[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you Kimberly.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_02]: I can't help but say in that sort of goofy voice.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_02]: I like you a lot.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_02]: I miss you and we all like we all went you know in our direction.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_01]: We got mode.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: We got after November fight back since then.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_02]: You know in some of us at times that it takes that includes me.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_02]: I'm speaking from me here mental health breaks from this stuff
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and I got lucky.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_02]: I have some opportunities to do that where, you know, I can't stop doing the political work because I see horrible things happen, and I feel strongly, but then I can, you know, tell them to stuff about, you know, rock and roll or great streaming films or have people on, you know, the, the.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_02]: One of the streams I do to talk about those things because I've got other passions shockingly and like Well, I mean on the left, can you do anything else besides politics?
- 2:00[SPEAKER_02]: I know If I let that sort of take me over You know, I mean it affected my happiness and affected everything.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't think that was abnormal for any of us right after November because I think we were all shocked
- 2:14[SPEAKER_02]: and it kind of said something about our country and it's had a lot of things but um you know it didn't change that didn't create like oh I need to do rock and roll I always want to talk more about rock and roll I always want to talk more about good films I always want to talk more about
- 2:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, baseball, yeah.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's just a lot of things that I love out there.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_02]: And so, you know, I have this this large subsdack now, partially by design.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: I came up with an idea that went viral, which was sort of incredible.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: And but I have to admit some of it was lock, a pair of lock and it blew up and it's just given me all these opportunities so that I get to do a lot of the stuff I really enjoy doing and thank God for that.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: Well, let me just say, I don't necessarily believe in the like, I think you manifested it for yourself because you have been working really hard and you've been pushing and pushing and you know, and finally it just paid off, you know, it's like all the things just clicked together.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, anybody out there, they can believe in like, I just don't.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think you made your own luck.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: So, okay.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I appreciate that the reason I say that way the only reason I do is because, you know, these these right wing tech bro.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_02]: You know, in cell losers, you know, got stuffed in lockers in high school and even though I'm against bullying, I'm going to say they probably deserved it.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: You know, who walk around and think that they should be our billionaire dictators, this that we shouldn't have democracy peer to all of them, they think they're better than us.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_02]: And so they think that there is wealthy as they are.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_02]: because it was ordained.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_02]: I don't ever, anybody to ever think that I think that this substeck thing went the way it was because I'm supposed to be.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm so important, and I'm so, I put myself in a position for the luck to happen is what I'll say, I'll fully agree with you.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_02]: Right, I'll often happen because you're in the right places.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, exactly.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_02]: And I worked my butt off and hopefully I've got some talent and then it happened, and so that I will take credit for.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know what?
- 4:10[SPEAKER_02]: I could have, you know, some, I could have gotten some sort of an illness.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: I could have, well, of course.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just trying to say that there are people out there who are suffering and hurting.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: And it's not their faults.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: I know you didn't mean that, but I just get so tired.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm taking on the argument from the Elon Musk's of the world.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_02]: He was meant to be that way.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_02]: The homeless person was meant to be that way.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: You know what?
- 4:30[SPEAKER_02]: A little bit of different different things in life and maybe they would have make it switch places like a
- 4:35[SPEAKER_02]: trading places.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_02]: I don't ever take it for granted.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: I did work my butt off on this stuff, but I also have to believe that once I worked my butt off and put myself on the right place, the right timing came along and that's exactly it.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: You put yourself in that position to have that happen.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: And you're right, not everybody always gets...
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: that break or whatever and whatever time frame.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, you've been around for a while, you've been working really hard.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, it's a nice way of saying, I am one old mother fucker, I guess.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_01]: Definitely true.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I don't know.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: We are about the same age, so we're both old mother fuckers.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_02]: Listen, you know, I don't know about you, and I'm not going to, I'm certainly not going to get personal with you.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_02]: But I will say about me, you know, you know, I was sort of, you know, I was an athlete going up, he's not this evening.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_02]: Who am also, but you know, like I was up sprinter, and I was, I played soccer, I was recruited to run track and college.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: So I always kept myself, yes, I drank way too much, and I think my memory is taking a hit now because of that, but that's a different story, but I always kept myself in pretty good shape.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_02]: And in my 30s, all good.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: My 40s, all good, like I know injuries, no whatever, I swear to God, I'm 53.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: Since I hit 50, it's everything.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, what?
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: I'm 57, and yes, I know.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll be right this and all that shit.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: So our theoretical left shoulder, I was just, you know, I go to these circuit workouts because there's nothing like the dopamine hit.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_02]: I like these sort of hard 60 seconds on 22nd off for like an hour work.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's a key being great shape.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I did something where my, and, you know, some of the probably wouldn't have mattered 10 years ago, but I did something where the weights were heavy enough in my form was probably bad when I was doing some some flies and like I got tennis elbow and my elbow like a, oh, so I'm seeing you're wearing like this band on my arm right below my elbow.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_02]: So you know after and while I'm taking like whatever it is, my locks occur, whatever the shit is, it's like twice the strength of ibuprofen that's in the anti-inflammatory, which means I think I'll get autism now.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: I know, I think you probably will.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_02]: You know, there's nothing wrong with autism.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: That's the thing about RFK, you should say.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I'll get what RFK had and I'll be hooked on heroin for 16 years.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: And then you'll get a warming your brain exactly and then on the fucking like, you know, a whale's fucking fan on my car and a dead cub in the back and Jesus.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: If anybody should be opening their mouth ever about anything, it shouldn't be that asshole.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_02]: No, my digression is very simply how different it is, you know, like, and 50 maybe just be an arbitrary number but quite clearly.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: Even in the shape, I mean, I'm just pretty good for my age.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_02]: I used to be able to get away with so much shit that I just can't.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's like it catches up with you.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's different.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: You just, I don't know, for me, I move a little slower.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I can still go.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: I still have energy in all of that, but I just noticed that my, you know, where I used to kind of just whip, whip, whip, whip around.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not doing that as much.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's a thing.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's like...
- 7:45[SPEAKER_02]: Um, you know, like, uh, it's just, yeah.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's the thing.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, it's like those two things and, you know, and I wonder, the other stuff, you know, I don't even go into it.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: Well, as Mick Jagger says, what a drag it is getting old, but then consider the alternative, right?
- 8:02[SPEAKER_02]: So we're not in who say I hope I die before I get old now, right?
- 8:07[SPEAKER_02]: My generation, meanwhile, they're all like in a separate Keith Moon and he even lived pretty long.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_02]: They're all in their fucking 80s and they're still performing because I saw them here two years ago.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: So apparently he wasn't really being honest there.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_00]: fucking liar.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: I want to ask you about politics, but before we do, I want you to talk about the sound check fund.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, thank you for asking.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: So look, we're lucky.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: I started this sub-stack thing.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_02]: I know you should have been a natural for me because writing was always kind of my passion and the thing that I did the best.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_02]: But for the reason I waited a little bit and then somebody got me to do it and I started doing it and it started doing well.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_02]: But within like two weeks of being there or so, I came up with this crazy idea where I said,
- 8:52[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember if was, was Bob on it, me, I don't know if Bob was on it, I don't think you were, I don't know why.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe you guys grew on sub stack the time.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember any case.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_02]: I don't do anything on sub stack really.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I did, I mean, I did a 12 hour live stream.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm as a P. Old B. R. Guy.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, you know, you need to do something to stick out from the crowd.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: And yes, I have some name recognition.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_02]: And yes, I've done some things.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_02]: So I'll get an audience.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: But if I really want to break out.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_02]: And I could have never guessed how it went.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_02]: They were just starting lives.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_02]: So at that time it was in February.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: So like there weren't the end of February.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_02]: There weren't that many people that were doing this.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_02]: Heather Cox Richardson, many of the songs, just a few people that I knew from social media when you each other, and Heather Cox Richardson is obviously the sub-stack God and Mets is doing pretty well there too.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_02]: And then I got like quirky, interesting people that I've met through political work because they're passionate about specific issues.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_02]: environment is one where Phil Collins, the guitars for death leopard, came on for a half hour during it.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: So it's like all this politics, but I wanted to like lighten it up and so I was like so you like can you take out your guitar and play a couple bars to stuff and I figured you used to be like screw-off and he was like yes
- 10:09[SPEAKER_02]: So we suddenly like pour some sugar on me play and we now I've read it all and Bill Corbett, you know, voice and writer from for MSTK MST3K came on and did some of the voices.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_02]: So I only bring all that up is suddenly I turned around and I had like hundreds of thousands of subscribers because it went viral and crazy.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_02]: And, and over the next week or two.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: And so after a period of time where I was like, this is obviously incredible.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_02]: A bunch of me came paid subscribers.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: That was nice.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_02]: We're as able to start, you know, and I love the writing.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I still get a charge.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_02]: I was sitting down and coming up with a turn of phrase like nothing else.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: So I guess I'm nerd, a nerd in that way.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_02]: I thought to myself, as we watched everything happen in November and since then,
- 10:52[SPEAKER_02]: And I still sat there and I said, you know, Democratic leadership's failing.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry if that offends to be listening to you, but I'm not going to hold back because I agree with you.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: Fascism is defeating this is too important to me.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: There are some amazing Democrats and the ones who are most amazing in the House and Senator, the ones who aren't listening to their leaders.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_02]: anymore, her stepping forward and saying we're not going to like half message and just sort of talk about trying to barely get back to like the way things were before Trump like this is a moment like FDR had a moment and like other than a moment where there's been a breakdown and our system wasn't working for people before.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_02]: It certainly is working even less for most people now who can't get by and there needs to be structural change, new institutions, you know, with the reform, the hell out of certain ones that exist, you know, like a Supreme Court, but we need to create new ones that don't exist, you know, we did, we did like we, there needs to be a serious FDR type wave and we're only going to create that if we speak to the things that people care about.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_02]: So I got so tired of seeing all these right wingers out there and the half-assed messaging from our leadership, which I assume just is because they've got billionaire donors who are like, well, don't rock them out too much, I want my taxes to go up too much, you can, of course, even if we're risking fascism and that just pisses me off to no end.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: So I can't do near what they do, but when we had at least, you know, I have another business that does well too.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_02]: Thankfully, better than the subset one that one's growing.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_02]: And so the decision we made is I was like we're going to create the sound check fund and that's because it's called the name of my, you know, group is blue amp media, blue is in democratic and amp as and we're going to amplify stuff.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think people can figure out what the media part means.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_02]: And.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and the cool acronym, by the way, is BAM.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: Which Bob will appreciate because I'm going to get some Batman, like shirts.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_02]: arrest me for copyright, so I'm sure as close as I can get without being arrested, but I did that and so we have this, you know, at least funds available.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, you know, like, all these people call on people to do this all the time.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_02]: I do, I yell how billionaires aren't doing this, nobody's doing this.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_02]: I need to have skin in the game.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: I need to, to, you know, I may not have the kind of money they have.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_02]: I
- 13:10[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm able to afford things.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not in a dangerous situation where it comes to health care, or we're having a roof overhead to stuff like that.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_02]: And I just was like, you know what?
- 13:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna, so we put in, we started off with about, you know, a five-figure sub that we put in the sound check fund.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_02]: And we said,
- 13:29[SPEAKER_02]: They're all these creators out there and look, I can't give them $50,000 grants.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing close.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: Some of them can't afford doing this amazing work, right?
- 13:38[SPEAKER_02]: We found out TikTokers doing stuff.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's spent, you know, our work in Spanish.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_02]: We need to reach that audience.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_02]: And I think she has like 300,000 people behind, you know, subscribers, whatever.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if TikTok's, I don't know what you call them followers.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_02]: Subscribers?
- 13:52[SPEAKER_02]: Lovers?
- 13:53[SPEAKER_02]: Friends?
- 13:53[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_02]: Every poll.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_02]: Um, drinking buddies, but whatever it is, uh, and it's like, you know what, some of these folks can afford to buy the right light.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_02]: They can't, they can't, they can't, they can't afford to buy a new camera or a new phone or, uh, you know, like get a good mic or so we're going to try to give to paying the situation 500 to a thousand dollar grants and it's like if we can offset the cost.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: for you of the fact that you know you being them obviously but you know you're welcome to apply to it too Kimberly.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: Um you know I mean anybody can and if we're gonna and we gave out our first five checks already which I'm excited about and we'll have more coming and hopefully we're using some of our we're trying to encourage people to get paid subscriptions it's blueamp.co is we're taking a chunk of that money and putting it towards it.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_02]: And we're trying to also get people to give donations.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm going to end up putting some more money in.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_02]: But in the end, what the goal is is that as many people's put on some, we've told people, you just come to us once, you're doing great work.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_02]: You're growing rapidly.
- 14:58[SPEAKER_02]: But it's like, hey, I need to hire this one person to help edit, you know, and I can't fully afford it.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if we get $1,000 a check, or maybe more, if this thing grows, to help that, then guess what we've done, like 1,000 flowers have bloomed.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: If it all goes to shit, I did what I could.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_02]: Right, you know, like I've, you know, to the point of actually taking money out of my own pocket.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, when I am not a billionaire.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_02]: Um, uh, and not a multi billionaire and not a, you know, like I, I, I said, I'm going to do, uh, do what I can.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: So I love what we're doing at Substack, but that is the thing I'm the most proud of.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: Very cool.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's just awesome.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, if anybody has the show that they're doing, or you want to get it off the ground, check out this go.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_00]: So what do you just go to, just go to Bluamp.co.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: So the dot com somehow was taken tons of bitches out there.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: So it's just, we're different, man.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_02]: So just blowing up dot co, uh, you know, uh, and if you look at me up at Cliff Shector, you'll find you you can get to that there.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_02]: And it's on our main page.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_02]: We've got a vertical there that says sound check fund.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_02]: And you click on it and the application will be there and all you have to do is fill it out.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_02]: And in May take us a month or two.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_02]: May take it.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we've got a lot of them have come in.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we got to look we got to go through them all and all that, but, um, but please do apply.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_02]: Because, um, the more talented people we find, you know, and we are the anti sort of Trump and whatever, which is not to say that like white guys, you're not going to get your share.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_02]: You will.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_02]: Right, but you know, I think you can trust what you guys, man.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: Well, but First of all, like guys, we kind of stock and we have done.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I'll move beyond that.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know, I want to make sure that people, you know, I think and this original cohort, I don't want to be a think we're sitting there and we're going to be like, whoa, we're not going to pick like guys, but it was, you know, there are some folks that, you know, we really need to be out there.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, just grew up and did not have the opportunities and now they've had further opportunities stripped from them by this group of fucking goals.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: And so, you know, everybody, I just want to make sure that everybody knows it's inclusive to everybody.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_02]: You're white working class.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: We want to support you.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: We need to speak to that audience.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_02]: But you're anything else under the sun, besides maga, then you will not get one fucking dollar.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_02]: I was just saying you're a big picture of my middle finger and we'll be doing it.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's talk about some of those goals right now.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_00]: Um, the one I want to talk to you about is specifically Mike Johnson didn't he say that everybody who's going to the no kings of terrorists?
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: I believe so.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and then Ted Cruz said that Soros is paying us.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: So we've got these two things going.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to hear what you're thinking about this, no kings rally.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_00]: It sounds like it's going to be fucking massive.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: It sounds like there's going to be, I don't know, millions of people, a million people.
- 17:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: Um, what are your thoughts and what's your advice for everybody going out?
- 17:51[SPEAKER_02]: Um, my first advice obviously is always to people is to be careful.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: There will be people in the crowd who will put personally between you and you on to get you to fight to get you to do things that emotions can get the better of you do not let that happen.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_02]: First, because you're going to put yourself in danger.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: And second, you endanger us all because then they get their their footage of a look at stuff.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's, you know, a, there's the angry level.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: And T file, you know, Can you, can you point to a member of that society?
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: And it's anti fascists.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: So like if you're not anti, but then what are you prophesied?
- 18:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I think I guess they're admitting that, which is what, by the way, what you just said is what our sponge every time.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_02]: You're on Tifa and Tifa means anti-fascists.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_02]: I guess you're just saying you're a fascist.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: I hope your mom's proud that you're a fascist.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_02]: But but but but you go out there and the whole point is is I would say to people,
- 18:54[SPEAKER_02]: You know, creative signs are important, but the message is important too.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_02]: So say to people, yes, doing a creative way so people will see the media pays attention.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_02]: But like, look, I can't tell anybody else what to do.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_02]: But if you go out there for your one pet issue, but you know, there's the one that you care about and it's most important to you and whatever, then I'm gonna just say, I think you're losing a messaging opportunity.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_02]: without having something smart to say in all the saying it.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_02]: You know, no king's is great, but I, you know, if it's something on the lines of democracy, not dictators and economy that works for all, we have a very simple situation.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: And this is why, like the fact that our democratic leadership can't put this into easy messaging makes me want a fucking screen, which is, and makes me think that they're maybe it's because of a couple of their donors.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there are a group of creepy fucking billionaires who
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: elected Donald Trump who controlled Donald Trump and who are simultaneously destroying our democracy and our economy so neither of them so they're taking our rights and they're taking our money.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_02]: It's the easiest message to deliver.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, you just lost your snap.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_02]: That's so Elon Musk, you know, combined with the government for, you know, his fucking next yacht.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you, you, they took away your Medicaid, that's so Peter Thiel can go, you know, buy himself on another pair of stupid looking fucking shoes.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_02]: Break it down for people.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_02]: All right, stories, which are what work, not statistics, statistics should back up stories, not in a way around human emotion.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's how we're all made.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's how we told stories.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_02]: Guess what?
- 20:37[SPEAKER_02]: There was a time and I'll make fun of all of us here because I'm not going to just make
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: and there's time before the internet.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_02]: There was a time before TV and radio and people had to actually talk to each other around like around fires when they were looking meat, you know, from whatever they just caught that day.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_02]: And it's how we communicate with each other over generations, over thousands of years.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_02]: And that it's why we're sort of wired the way we are.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 21:03[SPEAKER_02]: Communicate with something that has a connotation to it, has a strength to it, has something that moves people emotionally.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and it's the simple thing in the world.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_02]: You have this creepy dictatorial fascistic billionaires who want all of your stuff and all of your rights.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_02]: They want to be able to tell you how to live because they're better than you, and they are in league with Donald Trump and J.D.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_02]: fans.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: Let's defeat them, let's destroy them.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_02]: Because we have no kings, we have no dictators,
- 21:33[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so if your message is pointing out how billionaires are taking all of our stuff, you know, you're doing it well.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_02]: How billionaires are propping up Donald Trump so you can rob the country blind to take where it writes, you're doing it well.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_02]: But, you know, if you go out there with something that's like, you know, that is your pet 1% issue.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, look, it's good that you're out there.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad that you're out there.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying you're not accomplishing anything.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_02]: But you're not going to be accomplishing as much.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_02]: That's just fact.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_02]: And I think sometimes on our side, there's an interview that Barack Obama did for Unmark Maran's final podcast, where he talked about it.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_02]: Mark Maran talked about it too about, you know, Mark Maran's joke is we annoyed people into fascism.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_02]: And Obama was talking about the scolding people.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_02]: And that stuff on the left, I have give a while giving, you know, having any fox left on that.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_02]: But call me whatever you want, you know what, if you think I'm big in it because I want to talk about the issues that affect most people, somebody asked me wherever you want trans rights, I simply say, why do you hate children?
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: I believe all, you know, if it's about children or it's about adult, whatever, I believe everyone should have rights.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_02]: The LGBTQ community, women, we all deserve equal rights.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm going to spend my time talking about the things that are the biggest threats to the biggest number of people right now and right now that is an economy that is that where we've got tariffs on tariffs off government workers being fired so there's no experts left there who know what's going on.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_02]: We get farms and cattle ranch is in hotels and construction sites being emptied out because all their workers are being deplored, which causes a labor shortage, which causes, you know, there to be inflation.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: So we've got this, you know, and sort of his tariffs.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: And so we've got this inflated, we've got inflation going on.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_02]: While we're losing jobs, while we're like, if you don't have that, if you don't put that coalition back together.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_02]: uh, then you lose everyone does.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, all the all the marginalized groups are going to lose.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, as a feminist, I will say, yes, I mean, I think there are important issues regarding women, but yeah, if our economy is tanked, you know, it's like, it's got us, it's like everything is got it, there's got to be a solid foundation and that props
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and that's it, and it's not to put anybody else's issues sort of, you know, and say they're not important, but you don't have the number of people going out there voting on most issues that you do on the economy and democracy.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: And really, trans issues and other issues like that are part of democracy.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: Well, and you have abortion, you know, like out of abortion, exactly.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: Those are your freedom, that at that, so my point is you have a narrative about economics and by the way, abortions and economic issues too, yes it is.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_02]: You have a narrative about about these people are stealing our personal rights or economic rights, you know, taking money out of our pockets, soon all that.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_02]: You are speaking to two abortion rights.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_02]: You are speaking to trans issues.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're covering everything.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's like that a big umbrella, right?
- 24:43[SPEAKER_02]: Because if you don't have freedoms, if they're taking away your freedoms and your a trans student, you're whatever, then guess what?
- 24:48[SPEAKER_02]: Your freedoms are just taken away.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_02]: So, or mine, if I'm a woman who needs to have the right to choose, so or mine, if I'm somebody who, you know, it isn't showing up to church every Sunday, which I am not.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_02]: And apparently, you know, that makes me a bad person.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, whatever it is, those umbrellas cover it, and they also are interrelated, because without democracy, you will never have capitalism and without capitalism, you won't have democracy.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_02]: So, the truth of the matter is, I mean, their exceptions, but that's basically it.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_02]: is that if they take over our economy works and they take over our government works then we're done.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_02]: So speak to the stuff that they're doing, because everybody's not only senses it, it's right fucking there.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_02]: Elon Musk was in back rooms with sensitive information talking around what the Treasury Department's system.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Peter Teele, you know, funded JD Vance's whole career, you know.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, like who, and they're both key parts of Project 2025.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we had a guy named Wayne Besson on our show yesterday on the, what we do and he died bless him because I couldn't do this sat there and mapped out all product touring 25 and we sent something out today.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_02]: Our today's sub stack or last night's, I'm sorry, we talked about this.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_02]: There's a 114 different right wing groups behind all of this and he's mapped it out.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_02]: And there are three, and they're part of a larger, three larger umbrella groups of
- 26:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'll alight and work together.
- 26:20[SPEAKER_02]: This is not some conspiracy.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_02]: This is what's happening.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: And so yeah, that's a story we should be telling.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_02]: Because people care when people in backgrounds make decisions about their freedoms and their financial futures and yeah, you know, and bring it down to human terms, what have you lost, you've lost your snappy lost your Medicare, you've lost your Medicaid, you've had your social security cut, you know, they raised your taxes and your middle or, you know, class they've done this or that make it clear, they did that.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_02]: So the billionaires could take that money because apparently, you know, they, you know, Peter feel and make it in, make, say names because that's what makes a real story.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_02]: Who are the good guys who are the bad guys?
- 27:03[SPEAKER_02]: Apparently, Peter deal need to renew yacht, I guess, or affect, you know, a 47th, you know, house somewhere in the world.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's what's going on here.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I may be being facetious and exaggerating, but it's very true.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's what it is basically.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_02]: These people are grabbing all of the resources because they're sociopaths while people are starving and people don't have jobs and that is what's going on.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: And we don't tell that story.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: That is a story that wins for us.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: Because we also need to tell people what we're going to do to solve that.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_02]: We're the good guys in this story.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_00]: So I want to ask you like just totally different question here.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: Sure.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I ask everybody this and and I always preface it with I know you're not an oracle.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not expecting you only an oracle.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, okay, so we're all looking at Trump's health and he looks really unhealthy and he's got really bad dementia and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: So I always point to and I don't have it in front of me, but there was that account on Twitter prior to the last election.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: It was Jack Smith.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't actually Jack Smith, but it was just somebody.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that guy who had the popular account.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe still knows.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_00]: But regardless, he had tweeted.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was like on October 24th.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_00]: So it was before the election.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_00]: He said that the handlers all know that Donald Trump's mental, you know, he's like losing it mentally.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: They all know that.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's why they picked.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: He said something like it's why they picked.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_00]: J.D.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_00]: Vance over, was it Burgess or whatever that guy's name was?
- 28:34[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I don't know, I'm North Dakota.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because he was Thiel, and then, and he was almost 25, and that he said, this was always designed to be a J.D.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_00]: Vance presidency.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: So now we're seeing, and this is funny, I'm just going to add this little thing in here, because I just think it's hilarious, but there's this guy named Dan Greenie.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_00]: He writes for the symptom Simpsons and he's got a tick-tock account.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's got four videos up and he said that he wrote a Simpsons episode 15 about Trump becoming president.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_00]: I remember that one of Lisa's Presidents and he said that that like he would fail or whatever in Lisa Or he would die or whatever it was and then Lisa had to take over.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_00]: So now he's back
- 29:15[SPEAKER_00]: And he's saying that this year, he's saying he's a prophet and he's kind of making a joke out of it, putting on like a spirit Halloween prophet costume and just doing funny little things like cutting up vegetables or just doing household choice.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_00]: But he's telling everyone, okay, I'm a prophet and I'm telling you right now, Donald Trump is not going to be president by the end of the year and JD Vance and nobody in his cabinet is going to take over.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_00]: And he just said, he said, he didn't say Trump was going to die.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: He said that Trump would be removed from office.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_00]: And my take on this is that I think that he got some kind, I think he believes that he has some kind of psychic hit, right?
- 29:58[SPEAKER_00]: But he wants to make a joke out of it just in case he's wrong.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: But he has made four videos.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: Since the beginning, as well since June insisting that Trump's gonna be gone, and I feel like if he were just joking around, like that fucks with people's head, everybody wants Trump to be gone.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_00]: But the whole point of this is, there are all these people, many people are saying, even since like, including me before the election, before Joe Biden left the race, I always thought if it was between those two men, regardless of who won,
- 30:33[SPEAKER_00]: Neither one would make it the full full four years.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_00]: So all these people are under the impression there's a possibility Trump's going to be gone.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_00]: We've seen his cancels.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: We know that he's not doing very well.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: So my question to you is JD Vance.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_00]: How, what do you see?
- 30:48[SPEAKER_00]: I thought I asked Jared Yate sexed about this last week.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_00]: And we know JD Vance is really smart.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_00]: He went to Hollywood.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_00]: He went to Harvard.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_01]: And he would have gone to Hollywood, but you have to try to go to Hollywood, right?
- 31:02[SPEAKER_02]: If you're able to convincingly order donuts to the back of the movie, so.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: But like, like, let's just, let's just, let's just for a minute, say, okay, I'm not going to go with Den Greenie.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just going to go ahead and assume that if for whatever reason, Trump has to leave his office, we're going to get JD bands.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_00]: What's your take on them?
- 31:21[SPEAKER_00]: How does that change things up?
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think that he's more effective at this kind of messaging or do you think that he's less effective?
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: The whole, you know, fascist project 25 thing.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_02]: No, I mean, that is a great question.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think that that should be a key part of it.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_02]: If you're going just from the truthful part of it, I have no doubt that Donald Trump and again, it hurt me.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_02]: like it hurts me to say this because I don't understand it and I know you don't either none of us do who are normal humans but he has you know his whole sort of you know cheesy ghost you know shit you know like like you know like cheese ball did you see like the Wonder Woman 1980 whatever movie and like
- 32:06[SPEAKER_02]: You know, what's his name does a version of him, Pablo Pascal, he's like, he's just like this cheesy used car salesman like, you know, right, page all, I'm sorry.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, you know, like, who and I love that guy.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_02]: I know he's so cool.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_02]: And, and you know, and he's that guy.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_02]: But.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_02]: people believe con man who has always been a con man so he's got this what I would only call right when charisma or charisma for stupid people and it works on them yeah i'm they're like oh my god he's got my back he's funny mixed jokes of course he's always punching down but you know like whatever and and
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: So he, he was their sort of useful idiot they're stalking horse because they were like, this, you know, JD Vance again can't order donuts.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_02]: Elon Musk, I don't even know if you can have a regular conversation with a human.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_00]: It has to be, you know, I know.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's not AI.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_02]: He's not talking for it.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like, he cruise perpetually.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_02]: He looks like he just had an animal.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_02]: Same with Tom Cotton.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_02]: Josh Hawley, I'm sorry, he doesn't run, like anybody's ever said something that I think is insulting runs like a girl He doesn't run like a girl.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_02]: He runs like an eight-year-old with like a little baby scared of something they just saw and he looks like he was born with Kackies like stapled to his legs, okay?
- 33:27[SPEAKER_02]: He's such a fucking preppy.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_02]: These are people that have no charisma and no chance with it They can't even they can't even unite their own people.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_02]: They're own people like what the fuck's wrong with that guy
- 33:38[SPEAKER_02]: You know, whereas Trump had that ability, where Trump is gone, that's the thing is, I do think it always was J.D.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_02]: Man, they got their guy in their advancing.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_02]: They knew it would represent the various groups that Wayne talks with tech.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_02]: They kind of tech interests the, you know, I've been obsessed with this shit since I was a kid because I'm a loser, the Russell bought.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_02]: Was it like Mike Lee, who said he's been thinking about this since puberty?
- 34:02[SPEAKER_02]: I've heard about that in my piece of my uh-huh.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I mean, do you want to give me more of a layup here?
- 34:07[SPEAKER_02]: Can I just take two paragraphs folks to just go off on this and then I'll get back to the, you know, I mean, like, you know, I was like, like, yes, life of the party.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_02]: If the party is, you know, staying home by yourself and handling the joystick.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that's, that's, that's because, I mean, it's like all of life's weirdos, cultists and losers are in these various groups, Christian fundamentalist cultists, you know, an opus day and those freaks and the tech bro, loser, dick, who got lucky and made money they made or they took mommy and dad, he's money like Elon Musk took the car-thied mining money and he didn't know anything about coding, re-that shit, he got the peopleot his way
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: They got the idea for Tesla from somebody else.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't fucking have any ideas.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: He's a fraud and so Basically what it comes down to is I cannot think of anybody that could unite Them all together So does it mean that JDVans could come in and like all some stuff off and you know and cancel elections and do this in that The thing is I don't think people they would follow JDVans
- 35:15[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't because, because again, you know, like I'm sorry, but charisma matters, you know, like having a personality that people want to go to war with matters, as much as I don't understand, scrump because, you know, I have a three-digit IQ, I do understand Trump.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I understand why he appeals to these folks in the same manner, which is the cherry springer show date or WWE does, but but like they don't have it.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_02]: They're not showed none of those guys.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I, I wonder something like, do you guys invite Tom cotton on every week on your shows?
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: I see, I see like ads online, by the way, I don't watch cable because of fucking sucks.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_02]: I know me neither.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't watched cable news and that includes by the way, MSNBC news.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_02]: Me too.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_01]: Not since the election, I haven't watched it.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_02]: Well, there's, so I'll say there's a few exceptions, right?
- 36:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like I like Rachel Mattow.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, if you could.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: Me too.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_02]: Good people there.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying, I love Lauren Thothaw.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody who's ever been associated with him, I mean, you know, my co-host at my, and who I love and has been one of my best friends for years and co-writer, whatever one I call at my sub-stack is David Schuster.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_02]: who was on MSNBC for a number of years and was fucking awesome.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_02]: Want an Emmy there, you know?
- 36:22[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm not to say there haven't been people there that, you know, it's just to say.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's the it's the CEO.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_02]: That's the problem.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_02]: They're corporate media.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_02]: They're one of six entities that control 90% of what we see.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_02]: Read, play, whatever.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so it's the most unhealthy thing for a democracy.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_02]: And you can go look back at Teddy Roosevelt's quotes on that.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: You don't need me to tell you that.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_02]: But so I mean, what I'm saying in the end is is like,
- 36:47[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I think they're in a lot of trouble when Trump has gone because I don't they Trump even with all his craziness, whatever is the only one that could sort of cobble together of this fucking weird coalition of people of like just nutty Christians and racist fucking assholes and in cell losers, you know, who were techy and like this just the whole group of them,
- 37:14[SPEAKER_02]: Because, you know, right, yeah, it's a guy on a stupid, yeah, I'm trying to show where they turned him into what he never was, which was a competent businessman, he had that to fool business Republicans too.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: And their Republicans obviously have a great media, which is why I talked with a sound check fund before that demonizes the Democrat.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: So if you can get somebody that people like just enough, the Republicans are really going to get people to hate the Democrat.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_02]: So they'll be like, okay, lesser of two evils, and they vote for the Republican, which fucking is terrible.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_02]: but I'm not sure they can pull that off because I don't know who that person is.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, but wait a minute, what about, so okay, I agree with you as far as the charisma when it pertains to the base.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_00]: But what about like you were just talking about cable news and then also the Republicans in Congress and the Senate because there's a really good at marching locks, marching lockstep with the party and whatever the party wants to do.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, I think it's Susan Colt, no, Lisa Murkowski was talking about all the threats that they're getting.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think that continues?
- 38:17[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think that the people in government are going to be afraid of vans in the same way that they're afraid of Trump?
- 38:25[SPEAKER_00]: And then also the cable news, do you think that they're afraid of Trump?
- 38:31[SPEAKER_00]: Or are they afraid of the billionaire?
- 38:33[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, what happens if it's JD?
- 38:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I know you're not in Oracle, but what happens?
- 38:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a fucking Oracle.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_03]: You stop seeing each other.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody, that wasn't me being abusive, I love care.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_00]: I was laughing at you, so there was.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: Isn't I?
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: I have a wife and kids.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm used to being laughed at, so that's not how it works.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: So what basically, you know, the thing about Trump is,
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: And it's a shame that in our society and this is again why hate corporate media is they're failing that this works is that being shameless is a super power because if you will the thing these other guys have is that they'll constantly lie like Trump will but they won't but they don't do it as believably as Trump does.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so there is shameless, I guess they're not as talented, but whether not as shameless as Trump, and they can't seem to have the courage to be, which is good for us is in breaking well laws, but also, you know, they, they, I'm sure plenty of them have.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_02]: to count out a Trump, but they never would have been the leaders in doing that right never would have broken through those walls and norms and things like some of them they have, but they never would have the courage to do a lot of what and I don't think they will.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't think they will have the courage to threaten certain people and do stuff like that and I don't think that's well, you know.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, maybe Peter Thiel will call people forum and do it.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, but you know, I don't think he has it.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't think they have the ability to get people to count out to them in the same way.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think they have the ability to get their people in line in the same way.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_02]: I think they lack all of that.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_02]: And so I think it gets a lot more difficult.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_02]: I can only see one person that I can think of.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_02]: And he's not.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't have the bombastic charisma.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_02]: All he has is sort of...
- 40:28[SPEAKER_02]: You know, whether you like his policies or not in his policy is fucking suck and he sucks, but he's likable.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_02]: And I have to even admit that, which is John Thun, who used to go over a Mitch McConnell's position as leader.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: He comes off like this regular Midwestern guy.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_02]: And then he, you know, we used to have Rob Portman from here who is the same way.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_02]: And that they would enable the most horrific things to happen.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_02]: Thune maybe would worry me because I think the press would love him like look a nice Republican we can see those great things about him or whatever but I still don't think I think of a lot of the maga group because Thunes and McConnell guy would wouldn't join that would not just work.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know if there's anybody in so you can tell because as you probably know, you know, not a fan of John Thunes.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so I'm being, I think people can tell I'm being objective in my analysis and that he is a charming guy that people like.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_02]: I can't, I, every other Republican, you can bring up who could be their nominee.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_02]: No one, I mean, I, you know, I luckily, I got you to laugh a lot.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_02]: I could go through that whole list again.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I did before of people that want to be that are just a parent and like.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_02]: any, you know, they either are incredibly unlikable, incredibly dorky, incredibly, they don't have all that.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know who can do it because they needed to pull all this shit together just to sneak by.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_02]: Now, look, the Supreme Court is, yeah, I don't even, maybe they've already done it by the time we're talking.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what I'm doing.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure they're going to weaken the voting rights act further because they're a bunch of open-stay folks.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_02]: And that's one of the institutions when I talk about, like, I get so tired of people like,
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: Well, we either can add term limits, or we can add put an age limit, or we can increase the size of the court.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just like, do all of it.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, all of it.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_02]: To depoliticize that court, right?
- 42:14[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that court is the most political organ they may as well be wearing their maga hats.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's a joke.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's not conservatives.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's Republicans who are on there.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_02]: We've had conservatives on there before and most of them, opposed to Magna who were still there during any event, a lot of them opposed Bush when they were still there, right?
- 42:31[SPEAKER_02]: Some of the ones that Nixon and Reagan put on, some of the others, of course, not so much like Clarence Thomas and Scalia who sucked and sucked.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_02]: But,
- 42:41[SPEAKER_02]: The point I'm making is, is overall, if we go out there with a bold vision, like what I just said and say, you know what, the Supreme Court has become a fully political organ, and you could even say, you need to be deeply politicized, but Jesus Christ, we have an added a new Supreme Court justice since something like, I don't know, 1840 or 50.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_02]: So the country is grown by 13 times, since then, and we have the same size Supreme Court.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_02]: If we wonder why they accept less than 1% or fewer than 1% of the cases, they can't do it.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_02]: So when I hear people say we should go from 9 to 13, I'm always like, you know, 9 to 17.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_02]: At the very least, we might just think about 21 or 27.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_02]: That would be a huge court.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_02]: Do what these other courts do where they have rotating panels, nine judges look at something, but they've got to or however many in certain courts it's three, but they've got a bigger group of judges on that court.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_02]: And if you didn't know which judges you were going to get, it would depoliticize it because there'd be some conservatives, there are some liberals, so you would increase the courts capacity so they could actually take out more cases and do their fucking jobs.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_02]: And then what you'd also depoliticize it because nobody would know who you're going to get on there.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_02]: And we could make it less, and so it wasn't this right when Nuderey,
- 43:47[SPEAKER_02]: by adding a whole bunch of new judges and guess what?
- 43:49[SPEAKER_02]: You don't need anything in the constitution for that.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_02]: You just need the, you know, you because there's nothing in the constitution about how many judges.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_02]: And if I hear one person, and I want to hear them, because they'll say in your comments section like, hey, do it Republicans with you, it too.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_02]: Listen mother fucker whoever you are who's gonna say that because somebody always does they will any how they will Any well, how that's what I always do it any.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what I used to say about the abortion thing It's like people people would argue that they need it for fundraising and I'm like no they don't They're gonna kill it and then they're going to threaten that Democrats will bring it back and that's how they're gonna fundraise so
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, right.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I mean, so I mean, that's the thing that just cats me with this.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_02]: I know, you know, which is when people say that stuff in, you know, and I said this stuff so many times before, right, which is, you know, when you when you look at it, there's there's a number of these kinds of issues, one of them is a filibuster.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_02]: an accident of history, it is, the Constitution is very clear.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_02]: The Senate is a majority run body.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: There wasn't even anything in there about a majority leader in a minority leader.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_02]: They don't exist in the Constitution.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_02]: Parties don't exist.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_02]: What exists is, whatever the presiding officer is, there, which means a party that has a majority, and that's going to be the vice president.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_02]: can determine the rules and we just somehow because it was a norm gave that over to the majority and the minority at any point comma Harris or Joe Biden or keep going back in time and I'm sorry I like these people but they did not stand up and do what we needed which is a say.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_02]: The filibuster is not in the Constitution, and it is unconstitutional to have six to need 60.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_02]: When you look at the fact that that in some votes 17% of the population, because all these fucking cow states that elect to Republicans are controlling what passes and what doesn't, that when we can't pass universal background checks with 90% support, family and medical leave with 80%, 87% support, our democracy is massively failing, filibuster is gone.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_02]: And whatever the parliamentarian said, fuck you, it's gone, I preside, it's no longer, if we got rid of that, when we had these majorities, we could have passed all the stuff that would have helped people economically, in other ways, so we never went to God at this point.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_02]: And so what I'm saying is, oh, we'll they'll do it if we did, well, we did, Harry Reid partially did it because they're blocking so many judges when Obama was in the office, so he did it for lower down judges.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: And he did it for, I think it was appointments, like, cabinet level appointments, but not Supreme Court justice, right?
- 46:17[SPEAKER_02]: And what did the Republicans do?
- 46:18[SPEAKER_02]: The minute that they wanted a Supreme Court justice?
- 46:23[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 46:23[SPEAKER_02]: They got rid of the filibuster for Supreme Court justice because it was worth it.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_02]: If we had done that sooner, we would have gotten Supreme Court justice.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_02]: So, I mean, like, again, every one of those things that you accept, it's a false reality because it's a norm.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, no, no one that I hate.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_02]: It just gets me.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's the debt ceiling.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_02]: We are required by the Constitution and pay our debt.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_02]: There is no debt ceiling.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_02]: It was an accident after World War I because we were spending so much they felt like Congress should have a saying, saying, okay, like, you know, what's going on?
- 46:49[SPEAKER_02]: Well, what we, but it's what we've already spent.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_02]: We have to pay it back by the Constitution.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_02]: Therefore, Congress has no role on that because we have to pay it back.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_02]: That's what the Constitution says.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_02]: We can't not pay our debt back.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: So what do you do?
- 47:00[SPEAKER_02]: Say, fuck you, debt ceiling.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_02]: We're not having the vote.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_02]: We're paying it back.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what Obama should have done.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_02]: But didn't.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_02]: and all the stuff drives me nuts.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_00]: It is very frustrating.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_00]: Because we should be getting ahead of things so stuck into Bob about it.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_00]: I said, you know, any time, what I see the Democrats doing is chasing the Republicans to try to,
- 47:25[SPEAKER_00]: to what's the word, like they're trying to say, no, you're lying, here's the truth.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_00]: So they're following and trying to... They're answering.
- 47:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I mean, I'm not getting out, but I'm not saying it.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, I don't mean to cut you up, but I can make it really easy because this is a fold saying about this for the us grisseled political consultant types.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_02]: Which I'm not, you know, after I wrote ads, and I was like, oh, hey, we help get Biden elected.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_02]: We kicked out the crazy guy.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_02]: We're never gonna see him again.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't have to be a consultant anymore.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I can go right and do whatever.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_02]: Well, turns out my swan song wasn't so good.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_02]: In any case, you know, an old saying about this is if you're explaining your losing.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, there you go.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_00]: If you're chasing, if you're explaining, you have to get out in front.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the thing that Republicans are very good at.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_00]: What they use, I just wish, I mean, they could utilize you.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm just saying that the Democratic party could utilize just a little bit.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_00]: And Rachel Better, Comfort Talks about this human psychology, just a lot of the stuff
- 48:27[SPEAKER_00]: And it can have addiction, feelings, feelings, and like you make it personal, make it about feelings, don't be a wonky, and like the other thing is when I see somebody, like it's, and then I saw some, some, I was a political, political fact guy wrote a whole article several years ago saying, I created political fact because I wanted, you know, I thought it was important to get the truth out, but it's actually gotten worse.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_00]: When we chase after and the Republicans say such blatant lies, that's the other thing that drives me nuts.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_00]: They'll say something like the sky's purple, and then Democrats go, no, the sky's blue.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_00]: See, I have a picture, the sky's blue, and they go, the sky's purple.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_00]: They don't fucking give a shit with the truth as.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's not that they don't know.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_00]: They're intentionally gaslighting us because they want to push through their messaging.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_00]: And if you just, it's like, what was that Putin?
- 49:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, somebody said,
- 49:20[SPEAKER_00]: Whoever it was that if you keep repeating a lie, it's, you know, it's just worse.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_02]: So that's that into what it was actually going, but you know, your point is, it was a Nazi use of that, but it may be in girls.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, probably.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know who it was, but yeah, but your point is exactly right.
- 49:37[SPEAKER_02]: And if you notice, like, you know, Bob and I, Bob, bring up just because he enjoys the most of all.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_02]: We also have fun looking back, like a few of those clips, like when I went on and I debated Cleet a Mitchell, for example, and stuff like that.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_02]: Now
- 49:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I'd like to refer to myself and soon it will soon this will be on t-shirts for our our sub-stack if people want them.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_02]: I can refer to myself as an asshole for freedom Which means I will fucking fight and be the biggest asshole in the world if it's for defending freedom or country Whatever and you know Bob would laugh because I went on those those things and they banned me from MS and be see for Republicans complaining that was too mean to them.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_02]: They want some patty Democrat that they were used to
- 50:18[SPEAKER_02]: And you know why?
- 50:19[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I only bring that up.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_02]: I bring it to Pat myself on the back and bring that up because Facebook debating when you're debating people of bad faith when you're debating somebody in good faith you disagree with on something.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_02]: So during good faith they make their points you answer their points, you know, you do that stuff.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_02]: When you're debating people on bad faith, you need to communicate to your audience that they're clowns, that you mock them, you insult them, you need to communicate, yeah, communicates to your audience, they're not real people.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_02]: They're not there to have a serious debate.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_02]: They're completely full of shit.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_02]: And the way you do that is, I include a Mitchell and there is another one.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_02]: He saw more recently when Bob had beyond John McLaughlin, where I started going after him because he was talking about how great Republicans are doing in Democrats are failing.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_02]: And it was after Katrina and I just kept saying, you can't protect
- 51:03[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, John, you can't protect us from rain.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_02]: I do the John, you can't protect us from rain.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_02]: And he didn't know what to do with that.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_02]: Because they're not used to Democrats thing.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_02]: They're mocking them and ripping in and doing this.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's one of these other stuff too.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_02]: So for anybody, and I maybe I'll do a master class of sorts through my, on some of this stuff, through the subset at some point, for paid subscribers or something like that.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_02]: But like, I'll give it out.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_02]: Give out some advice for free on it.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_02]: When you're going up against people who are arguing in bad faith,
- 51:32[SPEAKER_02]: Literally you should you could you should be hearing what Charlie Brown here as we just teach your talk right exactly Yeah, or you should just put in your earbuds for like a minute while they're talking to disrespect them Or just listen to some music and then take them out and it doesn't really matter what they said and then you say what you want to say
- 51:47[SPEAKER_02]: because there's just no reason in answering that.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I will use part of it, I call it a pivot.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_02]: So I will listen what they say, and I usually, and well, first enough, and what we're talking about, that I know somebody said it's an absolute lie.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_02]: So what I'll do is point out to immediately attack for character.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_02]: I will point out that they're a fucking liar, and they're lying as they always do, and in this case lying about this, and then I'll just see something like, but of course we should expect that from you, because you're the party of.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_02]: and then I just go off.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_02]: And that's all that you should be doing.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_02]: You're trying to destroy the Republican Party brand.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_02]: You're trying to destroy the brand of the person who's seeing they're across from you.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_02]: If you let it get into you arguing an actual issue with that, when they're completely full of shit so that you feel you have to defend that the sky is blue.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'm telling you you're losing at that.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, that's absolutely it.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, well, you know what, I have one more question for you and I just want your take is is the New York race with Mondani this November.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_02]: It is.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_00]: So we've got a Virginia race.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_00]: We've got a New York race for Virginia.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_00]: We're looking at Abigail Spamberger who's running for the governor.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and she's really good.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_00]: And she's way ahead because I don't remember that woman.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_00]: She's running against or something.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_00]: She's fun.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_00]: Girls who, yeah, she's a, she's a, she's fucking weird.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they're public and barries of fun.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_02]: Because they go after us for like identity.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_02]: And what they do.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_02]: They're like, can we find a Jew or a black or woman somewhere who's fucking nuts enough?
- 53:12[SPEAKER_02]: You can run them.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_02]: And like that's all they do right like hey Steven Miller a Jewish Nazi.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get that guy out there.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_02]: You know, hey Rich Rick Grinnell a gay fascist.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get that guy out there.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_02]: You know, like that's all they do.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what she is.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_00]: Well, Philish Lafly was an anti feminist who was utilizing the, you know,
- 53:31[SPEAKER_00]: what feminists did for her.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_00]: She utilized that to basically kill the equal rights of feminists.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_02]: No, I always wanted to be there.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_02]: Look, Phil, it's slapped when you face him, be like, go home.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_02]: You say that you're supposed to be at home.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_02]: You're not supposed to be talking to me because you say you're inferior to me.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_02]: So if you think you're inferior to me, shut up and go.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_01]: I mean.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_02]: Otherwise, say that you have equal rights to me, but unless you say that, I'm not talking to you.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_02]: Because you're a lesser being, you know what?
- 53:57[SPEAKER_01]: Because you said you were.
- 53:58[SPEAKER_00]: Because you said it, exactly.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_00]: That's like a fucking party.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_02]: Right, but if you're saying you're a lesser being, why am I listening to you?
- 54:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, you know, and again, like that's, that's exactly what they do.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_02]: So, Spambert, she's just a really good candidate.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_02]: And then I wrote some ads for a part of an independent group that was, like, you know, pro veterans who were, they helped veterans and both sides of the aisle who were like, you know, America before America before party.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_02]: And by 2020, already, they'd gotten to where they were, like, überpublicans left, right?
- 54:30[SPEAKER_02]: It was like Don Bacon, who was still pro Ukraine and, you know, so he's leaving this term.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_02]: Um, like, you know, they kept losing people because the first they were like, yeah, I can't remember of that asshole at the eye patch down in Texas.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, yeah, he betrayed everything he claimed to believe in some kind of other public and veterans.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it was like they were supporting kids singer, who's remain true to his principles, you know, and thank you.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_02]: And but we did add first in some of those races and one of them was Mikey Cheryl because obviously we don't got to do adds for Republicans.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_02]: They hired a different firm for that.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_02]: We were doing it for the demo of the Democrats who were veterans who obviously were really good in Mikey Cheryl's just a terrific candidate and seemed like, I mean, I didn't, we were an independent group.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_02]: So we were separate, so I didn't meet her, but she seemed great.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I don't think we could have gotten two better candidates there.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_02]: And mom Donnie looks like he's way ahead too, you know, I have my problems with mom Donnie if I'm being honest with you, but I just not anything he said economically, I love what he's doing there.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_02]: I just, you know, every time I want to sort of forgive the hate, you know,
- 55:33[SPEAKER_02]: but the the incident myself, there isn't any anti-semitism there.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's is feelings on Israel versus, you know, whatever, something else like just recently somebody who's tied to a mosque died and it was his wife or his girlfriend and I'm not trying here to get people not to because if I lived in New York, I would vote for Mom Donnie.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_02]: But I would I do say that I don't like him as much as the other ones are talking about because
- 55:56[SPEAKER_02]: You know, maybe he's doing it now because he's cared too politically, speak out too much or whatever it is, but like, you know, he did some some if you're a regular person, if you're somebody who isn't, I mean, I don't identify really that much is Jewish and all I'm been in a temple and God knows how long, but I still know.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm Jewish enough that if somebody were putting Jews in a concentration camp that would include me.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_02]: And the fact that his response the day after we watched it being live stream people raping and attacking and torturing and saying this stuff, I'm sorry, but women, you know, southern Israel's response was like both sides need to, you know, really settle this and, you know, I mean,
- 56:35[SPEAKER_02]: to me that was a awful response.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm just being real with you here.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_02]: I would still vote for my foreign New York.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_02]: I love his economics, but I really do think, you know, maybe it's after he gets elected, he should make pretty clear where he stands on some of these things, because it hasn't been the best period of time for Jews out there.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_02]: And...
- 56:55[SPEAKER_02]: That's only been made worse by anybody sitting here thinking, like, I'm some fucking, you know, Israel plugs and that piece of shit known as BB-9 and y'all who should fucking be rotting in a prison cell and should, should be in the hay, so in case anybody wants to question my bone of feet days on this, you know, he's, he's only made the world more dangerous for people like me.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, Netanyahu is fucking awful and I wish we'd end up in the Hague sitting alongside Orban and Trump and Putin and really the leaders of all these terrorist groups, Hamas and Hezbollah and others, because I don't care, you can have people can have their various arguments on, you know, whether Israel or whatever, it was a charter given to them by the UN in 1948.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_02]: It was the country of Israel, and of course, terrorists attacked people on many, many, many
- 57:48[SPEAKER_02]: And also, there was responses, it's particularly by the far right in Israel with their brutal tactics they have used with their settlements in the West Bank that are illegal.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I mean, he gets so serious here at the end, but when I'm asked about Mamdani, it's just a little tougher for me because I really think he said some things that are hurtful to the Jewish community and I wish that he would clarify those.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_00]: Well, do you think if they both win, I mean, I think they're both, they look pretty good right now, providing they both win what does that say about art trajectory?
- 58:25[SPEAKER_02]: That we're going exactly to direction of expecting, but I think it also says that we need to gear up the next year for the fight of our lives because Trump is not going to
- 58:35[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Trump will not allow it, let's just say, easily allow the Senate or the House to be lost.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_02]: Now, what I would say to you is, you were brought up earlier and we got off on a different topic.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I think it's only 50, 50 that I don't think they're kicking him out.
- 58:51[SPEAKER_02]: They want me to advance this presidency, but they don't have the courage to have Trump on the outside Lobbing bombs at them, which he would be doing.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm not sure Trump's going to be alive.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but you know what?
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: I thought the same thing about the revenge that Trump might have, but they could hang shit over his head, right?
- 59:08[SPEAKER_00]: But whatever Putin has, which I think all of us at this point think the, I mean, Sherry Jacobus goes all the way to thinking it's a snuff film, which I'm not going to say that.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_00]: I don't necessarily think that.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that's a snuff film.
- 59:23[SPEAKER_00]: Are you kidding?
- 59:25[SPEAKER_02]: you're talking about whatever they have on Trump.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yes, yes, the thing.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
- 59:29[SPEAKER_02]: No, they think that they got Trump basically murdering people murdering girls.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I don't necessarily think that.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think that there is more than likely, um, video of him with, you know, the upstream situation.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm not going to do it.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you can say allegedly and you know, I think we're about legal stuff that allegedly look for a 13 year old.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_02]: Can he Johnson right said you know claimed and allegedly he raped her now she'd she ended up pulling her claim from court Because she's afraid she says she was scared for her life and GM I'm shocked to you know that that that would ever happen because nobody else has ever been threatened by these people We're haunted by them like that judge in South Carolina whose house was lit on fire so or Governor of Pennsylvania or we can go on so so um I mean
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_02]: Look, where there's smoke, there's fire, and when there's enough smoke, well, that's what I'm saying here tonight.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think that about walking in on girls' change.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that maybe I'm guessing, maybe some of these oligarchs have.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_00]: the compliment because the one thing I will say, Donald Trump knows at this point in the game with all his fucking, you know, before the election talking about the size of Arnold Palmer's penis, these falling asleep and his face is fucking melting and all this shit that's going on.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_01]: I forgot about Arnold Palmer's.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he also jerked off the microphone, but my order Arnold Palmer in the future, which I
- 1:01:06[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like he knows, so he would say inappropriate things and he says stupid things and he doesn't know what he's talking about, but you know what he knows what not to say.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_00]: In many instances, he knows when to stay quiet.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I just think that, you know, it is,
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know how any of this is going to go, but if they were going to convince them to get out, I think what they would do is they would say, look, okay, we'll make sure that you're safe, you're not going to get indicted, but you're not going to at least, I'm the federal level, whatever they could do if there was a civil trial, but they would give them any kind of part in that he would want and they make sure that he has all the money that he needs, and he can just go golfing, and we're going to make this deal with you.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_00]: You leave us alone, or we release the video, or whatever it is.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, he's been talking about having a lot lately.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_00]: So he clearly knows that he's not very healthy.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm just thinking that maybe, you know, one of the ways this could go is that the oligarchs could basically do what potent did and just threaten him with compliment.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_00]: And he's clearly got enough of his faculties that he understands that shit.
- 1:02:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I mean, it's like the other day he was talking about, I think it was, and I think when he was talking to the generals, he was talking about stairs.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_00]: and it's, and I, who was it?
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_00]: Was it Heather Cox Richardson?
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_00]: It might have been her, but she pointed out that it sounded as if he was kind of repeating what he heard from a doctor about being careful and he was, he was talking to the fucking eight, you know, there's all those generals.
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_00]: And he was saying, you know, you don't want to fall down the stairs.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's not a good look and, you know, it's not a good look for a president.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_00]: And it's almost like this is what the doctor was telling him.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be careful and you have to do a little bit of a, and I don't know.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think the guys on healthy, but I could totally see where, you know, if they wanted him out for any reason, but I think that there is still Trump still has
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know, a hold over the base.
- 1:02:59[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't even have to think and he can't remember against them.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_02]: He could run and depend in if you're still around.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_02]: He could do sorts of things.
- 1:03:06[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why I don't think they're going to do it.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_02]: But look, Sanjay Gupta and CNN back when that crazy fuck Ronnie Jackson was still in the White House delivering pills or whatever the fuck he was doing.
- 1:03:17[SPEAKER_02]: And said that Trump basically looked like he'd lived to the age of Methuselah or whatever.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_02]: And then Sanjay Gupta looked at the actual charts of Trump's up on the screen and said,
- 1:03:26[SPEAKER_02]: I've heard a sub-stack about this said very simply, because you know, nobody remembers us and reports this.
- 1:03:30[SPEAKER_02]: He has the beginnings of heart disease.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_02]: It's at the time.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's just seven years ago.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_02]: He was like, he's the beginnings of heart disease.
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_02]: Unless he changes his behavior in market ways in the next three to, and he didn't.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_02]: And then next, he said, I would say the next three to five years.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_02]: He has a very serious risk of either a heart attack or a stroke.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it's been seven years.
- 1:03:51[SPEAKER_02]: And he's got the, right, and he's got the blotches on his hands, which are also completely consistent with heart disease, he has the cancels that have their own cancels that are completely consistent.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, I couldn't help myself with heart disease.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he'd be rage tweets, he doesn't get any exercise, he sleeps a couple hours a night apparently, he eats like a fucking child.
- 1:04:13[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, these are all things.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean,
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_02]: If you look at actual aerial charts and combine them with Donald Trump, yeah, what we knew about him from seven years ago, and his behavior since then, it's very realistic when you start seeing blotches and cancels, so they would be happy long for this world.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, and we're all like helping.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I, you know, I mean, I think Jared gave sex and put a little bit more fear into me and to my listeners about,
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_00]: his take on all of this, but ultimately, I do agree with you.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think that no matter what, if J.D.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_00]: Vance has to take over for any reason, yes, he's terrifying.
- 1:04:47[SPEAKER_00]: But he does not have the charisma with the base.
- 1:04:49[SPEAKER_00]: He probably does not have the authority or the authority or the
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_00]: threatening power with the Republican party that Donald Trump does so I don't know what we're looking at it's not going to be good but maybe it's something that we can feel like all right we can overcome this and I still think that even if it's just Trump we can overcome this but we have to
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_00]: you know we just have to fucking show up and I think now more and more people are starting to feel uncomfortable not everyone's there yet there are still plenty of families in this country who are doing well enough maybe they've noticed their grocery prices have gone up maybe they've noticed certain things but overall they're doing well enough to where it's not really
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_00]: They're not feeling affected yet.
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_00]: But the longer we go, the more people feel affected.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to say this last thing before we go.
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then of course, I'm going to ask you to share your last thoughts.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_00]: But in 2018, when Donald Trump was president, we had a massive turnout in that midterm.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_00]: and I always like to say this because go back to the 2014 midterms and we had the lowest turnout in 82 years.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_00]: So you take it one midterm to the next.
- 1:06:08[SPEAKER_00]: You have general election style turnout.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_00]: So now and that was Trump with guardrails.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_00]: Now there's no guardrails, so, and that was, you know, he was only there for one term.
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_00]: So it was the same time frame.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_00]: It was two years except now it's two years plus all the fucking years that we've had in January, six and all of it.
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know.
- 1:06:27[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I know they're like, you said the Supreme Court's going to make it more difficult for people to vote.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_00]: People of color.
- 1:06:33[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to do everything they can, but I'm just hoping that regardless of whatever they come up with and how difficult they make it.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_00]: People make their fucking plans now.
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we know what gay voting day is.
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_00]: And so we just need to make sure, you know, if you can get off work, get off work.
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_00]: If whatever the plan has got to be, make it and, you know, and stand there in line or whatever you have to do, because I think we are going to see historical turnout.
- 1:06:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's going to be massive.
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's going to be insane at the point of, you know, because again, there are a whole lot of people in that sort of group that you're talking about that I knew that we're either casual, you know, and these people have come across and you whatever, you know, they don't have to be close friends because.
- 1:07:17[SPEAKER_02]: these days.
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_02]: My values are pretty important to me.
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_02]: But people that either didn't vote because they're like, are they both suck or are there people who voted for, for, for, cobble up a grudgingly, but like didn't, you know, put up stuff on Facebook, didn't like, we'll rally their friends, didn't, you know, these are, these are, these are people that are now fired up.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_02]: And they've seen their neighbors and some of their workers deported, you know, they've seen their friends, businesses over their own, their farms hotels, whatever, because of lack of workers go out of business, because of ridiculous on-off tariffs that seemed to only be a way for Donald Trump to use his crypto and whatever, allegedly to make money while fucking us.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_02]: They've seen all the government workers fired and things not working
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_02]: You know, they're economically hurting.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_02]: There's inflation.
- 1:08:08[SPEAKER_02]: There's job losses.
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, what, how much more of this shit do we need?
- 1:08:12[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and they're seeing the military and their streets and they're seeing guys with masks on who wouldn't identify themselves grab people.
- 1:08:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm sorry, but like that, he went neck, he went to the negative side of immigration a while back.
- 1:08:25[SPEAKER_02]: Right now, I think he's way underwater on that because nobody wanted that.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they were like, find the criminals who are here, find the people.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_02]: And if you find people here, yes, there are a lot of people like if you find people here that shouldn't be here, humanely deal with it and deport them.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody, even though you and I probably would disagree with that.
- 1:08:47[SPEAKER_02]: When being that's what they wanted, they didn't want cars crashing into other cars, but yes.
- 1:08:54[SPEAKER_02]: Like we're in a fucking grand theft auto game, right?
- 1:08:57[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's insane.
- 1:09:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're in for a world of hurt when it comes up.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_02]: We just need to make sure that, no matter what the Supreme Court does and what these assholes try, that we have every lawyer, every political adviser, every fucking person that is good at messaging, every human out there using their talents to fight every single way to make sure these elections are as fair as possible, and if they are, because remember, we always, every time we win, we've overcome that they've cheated.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's a press of votes in states that control I live in one of them all.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_02]: Anytime anything happens here, I assume we would have gotten 25 to 50,000 more.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_02]: At least Democratic votes probably a decent amount more than that.
- 1:09:37[SPEAKER_02]: Florida text us all these places.
- 1:09:40[SPEAKER_02]: So we need to so overwhelmed that we can overcome that in any other cheating they do and win.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 1:09:46[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we got to do that and, you know, Cliff, I could talk to you all day.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_00]: I can talk to you all day to you.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_01]: You just, you just fun.
- 1:09:56[SPEAKER_00]: Well, all right, so as I always tell all my guests, please tell everyone where to find you.
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_02]: Two best places.
- 1:10:04[SPEAKER_02]: I don't do a lot.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'm on Blue Sky and I'm barely ever on Twitter.
- 1:10:08[SPEAKER_02]: I don't really do a lot of that stuff anymore.
- 1:10:11[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I am on the main one.
- 1:10:14[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, I've mentioned Substack a number of times.
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's really easy.
- 1:10:17[SPEAKER_02]: Blueamp.co.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, BLUEamp.co, and you will find me and David Chuster and other folks there.
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_02]: Growing that platform, we've got a couple lives a week, you know, Substack even gave us our own show, amped up with Cliff Shactor, which, you know,
- 1:10:34[SPEAKER_02]: Sounds like I'm on meth or something, but okay, it's fine.
- 1:10:36[SPEAKER_02]: Every Thursday at two, and that's coming up pretty soon.
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_02]: We've got Fred Wellman's coming on in the morning.
- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_02]: Offs up for office.
- 1:10:43[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, that's so cool.
- 1:10:45[SPEAKER_02]: I know.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_02]: And then the other one is, I still have my YouTube, which is under my personal,
- 1:10:52[SPEAKER_02]: thing, which is Cliffs Edge, and you just go to youtube.com, it's Cliffs Under Score Edge, the logo we broke 150,000 subscribers, just pretty cool, or somewhere a few thousand above that, trying to keep, you keep, so what I say is blamp.cl, or at Cliffs Under Score Edge, those are your two spots.
