- 0:32Speaker 3: Also, people can check out on there. Let's see what
- 0:34Speaker 3: you're posting.
- 0:35Speaker 2: No, well, I don't post a lurk.
- 0:37Speaker 1: But I saw this cool thing that somebody posted. They're
- 0:43Speaker 1: a photographer, out of the Dark photography. They posted and said,
- 0:48Speaker 1: alrighty single people, I'm super excited about this. I'm a
- 0:52Speaker 1: photographer near the FM area and I'm just kind of
- 0:56Speaker 1: gauging interest at the moment.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Are you singing and sick of dating apps?
- 1:02Speaker 1: Trying to find a more authentic way to potentially meet
- 1:05Speaker 1: your person? Now, I'm not in the market for dating anyone.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I'm happily with someone. But already I was hooked. I
- 1:12Speaker 1: was like, wait a minute, it's not a dating app.
- 1:14Speaker 2: What is it? Then?
- 1:16Speaker 1: I'm thinking of offering stranger photo session slash blind date.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I'll set up a questionnaire for you to fill out,
- 1:24Speaker 1: and the other party. That's how I will match you
- 1:27Speaker 1: with what seems like the best fit. Thoughts any interest,
- 1:31Speaker 1: This is a great opportunity to get off the dating apps,
- 1:34Speaker 1: or just a fun thing to get you out of
- 1:35Speaker 1: your comfort zone and meet new people. So seven oh
- 1:39Speaker 1: one two, eight oh one, nine eight seven. Would this
- 1:42Speaker 1: be a dating idea that you're into where you are
- 1:45Speaker 1: set up on a blind date that ends up being
- 1:48Speaker 1: like a couple's photo shoot.
- 1:50Speaker 3: I'm one thousand this doesn't it sound cool? This is fabulous.
- 1:55Speaker 3: You end up on a date. Hey, maybe it goes well,
- 1:57Speaker 3: maybe it doesn't, whatever, but at the end of it,
- 2:00Speaker 3: you will have a photo to use to then put
- 2:04Speaker 3: on your dating apps. Yeah, way or the other. You're
- 2:07Speaker 3: gonna kind of get something out of this.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I love this, I really think. Really is such a
- 2:11Speaker 2: cool idea. Who is interested?
- 2:13Speaker 1: I can't do it because I'm with someone, but I
- 2:17Speaker 1: wish I could volunteer as tribute for the first one.
- 2:21Speaker 1: If you're interested in this text? Does call a seven
- 2:23Speaker 1: oh one two eight on one, nine eight seven. I
- 2:25Speaker 1: want to see if we can get people to do this.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I'm very fascinating. Are you trying to play matchmaker here
- 2:31Speaker 1: this morning?
- 2:32Speaker 2: Yes?
- 2:33Speaker 3: This kind of has a what's that show where the
- 2:35Speaker 3: professionals try to match people up?
- 2:37Speaker 1: Million Dollar Matchmaker, that's the one I used to watch.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I don't know, No Millionaires Required.
- 2:42Speaker 3: It's the one with the coaches and they match the
- 2:45Speaker 3: two people up in ninety Day Fiance, No, whatever that
- 2:49Speaker 3: show is. You know the show I'm talking about. My
- 2:51Speaker 3: wife watches it all the time.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Okay, if you know the name of the show TEXTUS
- 2:54Speaker 1: seven seven.
- 2:56Speaker 3: This is like that, but instead of like those you know,
- 2:59Speaker 3: and I use this in quotes professional coaches because it
- 3:01Speaker 3: doesn't really ever go well on that show. You just
- 3:03Speaker 3: have a photographer who's trying to do it. I think
- 3:06Speaker 3: this is cool.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I feel like this is cool because then when you're
- 3:08Speaker 1: posing for the pictures and stuff, you can really tell
- 3:10Speaker 1: if you have chemistry, I think, and.
- 3:12Speaker 3: If it works out, you have the best holiday slash
- 3:15Speaker 3: meet cute story ever, one way.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Way better than I swiped ry.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Yeah right, celebrating life's little victories victory every morning. We
- 3:29Speaker 4: practice gratitude on Big ninety eight point seven. If I could,
- 3:32Speaker 4: I would keep this feeling in a basket job busted
- 3:35Speaker 4: out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 3:37Speaker 3: I just really needed to win.
- 3:38Speaker 4: You know, sure your little victories with us. At seven
- 3:41Speaker 4: oh one two eight one, eight seven.
- 3:44Speaker 3: We did get a text Ajie from Mark who was
- 3:47Speaker 3: celebrating a little victory for us in spite of the
- 3:50Speaker 3: Vikings not pulling off a victory. Mark I didn't say
- 3:54Speaker 3: that despite the Vikes losing. He texted us and just
- 3:56Speaker 3: said he got to watch the entire game with his
- 3:58Speaker 3: whole family. So that's fine. That's yeah, great time of
- 4:01Speaker 3: the year for that.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Way to go, Mark, to be angry with other angry people.
- 4:05Speaker 3: That's right. Misery needs other misery, right, that's all that says.
- 4:08Speaker 2: They love company.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Mark, thanks for letting us know. Also, yeah, don't forget
- 4:13Speaker 3: if you ever have a little victory and you want
- 4:15Speaker 3: to share it with us, we want to hear it.
- 4:16Speaker 3: These brighten up our days. We see them come in.
- 4:18Speaker 3: It's very cool to see. So seven oh one two
- 4:21Speaker 3: eight zero one nine eight seven. If there is a
- 4:23Speaker 3: little victory for you, Angie, what is your little victory?
- 4:27Speaker 3: You have a couple of days to pick from.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, So I had a kid free weekend
- 4:32Speaker 1: because their dad came to town. So they went and
- 4:35Speaker 1: so Mikey and I we got to have date night.
- 4:38Speaker 1: We went and ate out at Rustica and Morehead and
- 4:42Speaker 1: that was delicious. We got to just spend the whole
- 4:45Speaker 1: day on Saturday decorating the house and we put our
- 4:49Speaker 1: Christmas tree up, which is very exciting.
- 4:52Speaker 2: But the most exciting victorious.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Thing that happened is that we went to Kirkland Home
- 5:00Speaker 1: and we got some wall decor and we got this painting,
- 5:06Speaker 1: this like canvas for our bathroom and it's a cow
- 5:11Speaker 1: sitting on the toilet with a big old newspaper as
- 5:14Speaker 1: though they're using the bathroom.
- 5:16Speaker 2: And so I got to make a.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Glorious dad joke that the cow was having a bowelment.
- 5:24Speaker 1: And I'm so amused by that that I recorded it
- 5:28Speaker 1: and I put it on the big ninety points of
- 5:29Speaker 1: a Facebook page because it's such a dad joke.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Oh, I feel so good about it.
- 5:35Speaker 3: You're so proud of that.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I'm so proud.
- 5:37Speaker 1: It's annoying because like, that's what's wrong with me. But
- 5:41Speaker 1: that's that's my little victory. What about you, Gabe.
- 5:43Speaker 3: I'm happy you had a wonderful weekend.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 5:46Speaker 3: That's wonderful. Do you know what my little victory is?
- 5:48Speaker 3: I can I have two? Yeah? My first little victory.
- 5:52Speaker 3: We got our humidifiers up and run in. We yeah,
- 5:55Speaker 3: finally remembered to grab distilled water from the star because
- 6:00Speaker 3: we that's what you're supposed to use it.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that's I just grabbed some this weekend too.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Yeah, we finally remember to do that. But I have
- 6:07Speaker 3: a little victory that is life changing. I don't know
- 6:10Speaker 3: if you've ever heard me talk about this. I know
- 6:11Speaker 3: you've definitely seen it. But I have this checkered seat
- 6:15Speaker 3: belt belt. Okay, this thing actually clicks together like clickety
- 6:20Speaker 3: clickety or no tickety tickety, you know what I'm saying.
- 6:22Speaker 3: And I thought that this belt was lost. I was like,
- 6:25Speaker 3: I left it somewhere. It's gone, this belt that I've
- 6:29Speaker 3: had since seventh grade? How are you thirteen and seventh grade?
- 6:32Speaker 3: All right? So I have had for upwards of twenty
- 6:35Speaker 3: two years or something like that. I found it this weekend.
- 6:40Speaker 3: I got my seat belt belt back. Have you ever
- 6:43Speaker 3: lost something and then you just find it and it
- 6:45Speaker 3: changes your entire outlook on life?
- 6:47Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 6:49Speaker 3: Nine eight seven? What'd you lose? And what'd you find?
- 6:52Speaker 3: But I found it, and I'm just glad. I feel
- 6:54Speaker 3: like I'm whole again.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Are you wearing it?
- 6:57Speaker 3: Not today? No, I got kind of a what are
- 6:59Speaker 3: these like? Ok I got kind of a tan jogger situation.
- 7:04Speaker 2: That won't make sense with those.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Okay, but what when you a have to wear it
- 7:08Speaker 1: to Wait a minute, You've had this in seventh grade
- 7:12Speaker 1: and it still fits you.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's the little victory.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Today's variety Big ninety eight point seven is Gabe and Angie,
- 7:22Speaker 3: Cloudy and forty three today, and I have a big
- 7:26Speaker 3: shout out to give. I have to give one to Ashley,
- 7:28Speaker 3: I have to give one to Laura, I have to
- 7:29Speaker 3: give one to Bonnie, I have to give one to Alyssa,
- 7:32Speaker 3: and I think I have to give one to Liz
- 7:34Speaker 3: as well. I could not think of this, dang dating
- 7:36Speaker 3: or not dating. They get married, literally married at first
- 7:39Speaker 3: sight for this show that I could not think of.
- 7:42Speaker 3: I lose track of these love dating shows that my
- 7:45Speaker 3: wife watches. But you know when I don't know, I
- 7:49Speaker 3: just ask you, and you helped me out this morning.
- 7:52Speaker 3: So thank you to everyone. Married at first Sight was
- 7:55Speaker 3: the show I could not think about. That might be
- 7:57Speaker 3: one of my wife's favorites too, So it's a little
- 8:00Speaker 3: I've never seen it. I actually don't hate it. I
- 8:04Speaker 3: think their success rate is less than one percent, but
- 8:07Speaker 3: well maybe it's like three percent.
- 8:10Speaker 2: But it's fascinating to one.
- 8:11Speaker 3: It is interesting to watch these people kind of navigate
- 8:14Speaker 3: getting married before having ever met, ever even spoken to
- 8:17Speaker 3: each other. It is kind of interesting to watch all
- 8:20Speaker 3: that all plays out. But anyway, thank you to all
- 8:21Speaker 3: those people who helped me out this morning here on
- 8:23Speaker 3: Big ninety eight point seven, Thank you to you. This
- 8:28Speaker 3: is am I the problem.
- 8:30Speaker 2: It's me, Hi the problem.
- 8:34Speaker 3: It's me.
- 8:35Speaker 4: We'll hear one side of the story, and with your
- 8:37Speaker 4: help we decide if it's right or if maybe you're
- 8:43Speaker 4: the problem.
- 8:43Speaker 2: That's right, I am a problem.
- 8:46Speaker 4: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 8:49Speaker 2: We had Carla right into us.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Hey, Gabe and Angie, I listened to Big ninety eight
- 8:54Speaker 1: point seven every morning, and I'm hoping you can help
- 8:57Speaker 1: me figure out if I'm the one causing the problem
- 9:00Speaker 1: at home.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Here's the stitch. My man's family.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Keeps showing up at our place unannounced two or three
- 9:07Speaker 1: times a week. They hang out for hours, and it
- 9:10Speaker 1: feels like I'm always sorry, and it feels like I'm.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Always in host mode.
- 9:16Speaker 1: My man says, they're family so I don't have to
- 9:19Speaker 1: be in host mode and they don't expect me to be.
- 9:22Speaker 1: If I stopped being uptight, it wouldn't be a big deal.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Who is right? So obviously, in my opinion, hours hanging
- 9:31Speaker 3: out is wild. That's a long time for the in
- 9:33Speaker 3: loss to just randomly show up. I will say, though, Hubby,
- 9:40Speaker 3: don't use the word uptight. Bro find any other word
- 9:43Speaker 3: to use in this scenario. And to an extent, he's
- 9:48Speaker 3: got a little bit of a point. Okay, I understand.
- 9:51Speaker 3: It's not you walk around in your underwear like when
- 9:53Speaker 3: they're not there, you just be in your bean bag naked,
- 9:56Speaker 3: eating cheetos like you'd like to.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Okay, but now I know what you'd when you're home alone, I.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Need to get a bean bed. But you could kind
- 10:05Speaker 3: of just like chill a little bit. It's not that
- 10:08Speaker 3: big a deal. You don't have to be in host
- 10:09Speaker 3: mode when mom and dad in law come over. Granted
- 10:13Speaker 3: I don't want Tom over every day either, that would
- 10:15Speaker 3: be horrible, right, And I love my in laws. They're great,
- 10:18Speaker 3: they're very, very nice, but every day, but you don't
- 10:22Speaker 3: have to be in host mode with the in laws.
- 10:24Speaker 3: So I think there's a both and here, what.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Do you think seven oh one to two, eight oh
- 10:28Speaker 1: one to nine eight seven. I think that there needs
- 10:31Speaker 1: to be a hard line drawn. I don't think that
- 10:34Speaker 1: the family should be able to come over whenever they want.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's also wild. I think expecting a text
- 10:40Speaker 3: or a heads up is very fair.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I think that, yeah, somewhere in the middle, I feel
- 10:44Speaker 1: like Carla could say, hey, it's fine if they come over,
- 10:48Speaker 1: But then I at the very least need a heads up, right, Like,
- 10:51Speaker 1: the unannounced part is the part that upsets me. But
- 10:54Speaker 1: I've always wanted to in my dream life the sick
- 11:00Speaker 1: where everyone just comes into people's houses like no one's
- 11:03Speaker 1: knocking on a door or anything. Like on the show Friends,
- 11:06Speaker 1: they all just would walk into each other's houses.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Right and hang out. And that's like the dream. I
- 11:10Speaker 2: like that. Yeah, and so I don't.
- 11:14Speaker 1: See Carla, why you wouldn't like that unless your in
- 11:17Speaker 1: loss are insufferable.
- 11:18Speaker 3: That's right.
- 11:19Speaker 2: But yeah, maybe just the head's up. But I don't
- 11:21Speaker 2: think your man should be kind up. Oh my gosh.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:24Speaker 3: And also, Carla, this is kind of a like a
- 11:28Speaker 3: win win a little bit, you know, you get out
- 11:30Speaker 3: of host mode. Hey, you don't have to feel like
- 11:33Speaker 3: you're hosting. That's awesome. Yeah, b they might go, well,
- 11:36Speaker 3: it seems like she doesn't want us there, so yeah,
- 11:39Speaker 3: there all the time. Just be incredibly lazy when they
- 11:43Speaker 3: come over. Seven oh one two eight zero one eight seven.
- 11:47Speaker 3: I think there's a both and here Angie is sort
- 11:50Speaker 3: of in the middle as well. What do you think
- 11:51Speaker 3: can we help out Carla with a definitive yes or no.
- 11:55Speaker 1: We've also got this posted on the Big ninety eight
- 11:58Speaker 1: points I'm on facebook page.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Let us know what you think here at Big ninety
- 12:01Speaker 3: eight point seven.
- 12:07Speaker 1: The problem Parla wanted to know she's the problem or
- 12:10Speaker 1: if her man's family is the problem. So his family
- 12:14Speaker 1: always shows up to their place unannounced, hangs out for
- 12:17Speaker 1: a few hours, and she always feels like she has
- 12:19Speaker 1: to be in host mode for it, so she doesn't
- 12:22Speaker 1: like it that they come over. But her man said, well,
- 12:25Speaker 1: don't be in host mode their family who cares if
- 12:28Speaker 1: you were. This is where the wording he said that
- 12:30Speaker 1: she's being too uptight picked the wrong word.
- 12:33Speaker 2: Yeah, but she is she being too uptight?
- 12:36Speaker 1: Or is she correct in wanting to set some boundaries there?
- 12:39Speaker 3: I love Kimberly on the Big ninety eight point seven
- 12:42Speaker 3: Facebook page. This is the most like Midwest polite thing
- 12:44Speaker 3: I've ever read in my life. Instead of being like, yeah,
- 12:48Speaker 3: that's a lot of course, that's ridiculous. No, you can't
- 12:51Speaker 3: hang out for three to four hours every other day
- 12:53Speaker 3: or yeah, kimberly said, three to four hours several times
- 12:57Speaker 3: a week. That's a bit much.
- 13:00Speaker 2: That's the most.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Midwest thing I've ever heard. That's a bit much, Kim said. No,
- 13:07Speaker 3: they need to call her text to ask if they
- 13:09Speaker 3: can come over. That's just the polite thing to do.
- 13:11Speaker 3: It may have been cool when he was single, but
- 13:13Speaker 3: it's rude to assume you are okay with it too.
- 13:16Speaker 3: And I do agree they do need to give a
- 13:17Speaker 3: little heads up. I would say I would want to
- 13:19Speaker 3: heads up. But you know what she should do for
- 13:22Speaker 3: host mode? What or it feeling in host mode? I
- 13:25Speaker 3: think Carla has some fabulous advice here because there's an
- 13:29Speaker 3: endgame the way I see it.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Okay, so Carla is the one received. Oh okay, go go,
- 13:35Speaker 1: go go, carl.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Carla gave the advice. She said, try asking them to
- 13:39Speaker 3: call first. Also, if you don't have to be in
- 13:42Speaker 3: host mode, advise them to help themselves. If you have
- 13:45Speaker 3: things to do, excuse yourself and do them. Be polite
- 13:47Speaker 3: and do what you need to do. Could you imagine
- 13:50Speaker 3: you go to someone's house unannounced, yeah, and you know
- 13:53Speaker 3: they appear cool with it whatever, and they're just like okay, well,
- 13:56Speaker 3: like that's fine, just heads up, I gotta go to Walmart.
- 13:58Speaker 3: And then you're just gone for like three hours. They're
- 14:00Speaker 3: just sitting in your house alone. They would feel so awkward.
- 14:04Speaker 3: That's a win, right.
- 14:06Speaker 1: That's actually so genius. That's from one Carla to another.
- 14:09Speaker 1: That's where I got confused. That's Carla needed the advice
- 14:12Speaker 1: and another Carla came into the rescue.
- 14:15Speaker 2: That's right.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Two Carla's made a right. This sea big ninety eight
- 14:18Speaker 3: point seven. It's soliday season.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Holiday season.
- 14:25Speaker 3: We learned that the average American will spend nearly one
- 14:28Speaker 3: thousand dollars for Thanksgiving this year, which I am sitting
- 14:32Speaker 3: here laughing at because there's zero chance I even come close.
- 14:35Speaker 1: That made me learn I'm a below average American.
- 14:38Speaker 2: I'm not spending one thousand dollars crazy, No, not on Thanksgiving?
- 14:44Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I have one agree with that. Well, but
- 14:47Speaker 3: that doesn't mean that Thanksgiving might not be a little
- 14:51Speaker 3: bit spendy, all right, you might have to fork over
- 14:53Speaker 3: a couple bucks. You know, you either get the turkey
- 14:55Speaker 3: or the ham or the primary or whatever it is
- 14:58Speaker 3: you eat at your house for Thanksgiving, and you know
- 15:01Speaker 3: there's all these other things that go into it. If
- 15:03Speaker 3: you enjoy an adult beverage or two, or some wine
- 15:06Speaker 3: or whatever, then you got to travel and then all
- 15:08Speaker 3: of these things.
- 15:09Speaker 1: You know what for the alcohol, I will say happy
- 15:12Speaker 1: Harry's penny sale is on right now.
- 15:14Speaker 2: This is the perfect time.
- 15:15Speaker 3: That's right. They don't even back those anymore. All right,
- 15:18Speaker 3: let us know this morning. What are you going to
- 15:21Speaker 3: do to try to cut down on the Thanksgiving spending
- 15:25Speaker 3: this year? Seven oh one two eight zero one nine
- 15:28Speaker 3: eight seven Emilia, what are you doing? I'm getting back
- 15:32Speaker 3: by trimming the guest list. If you didn't text me
- 15:34Speaker 3: at all.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Last year, congratulations, you're enjoying Thanksgiving from the comfort of
- 15:39Speaker 1: your own home.
- 15:39Speaker 3: That is wonderful. That's what Corey and I did for
- 15:42Speaker 3: our wedding. Oh yeah, we went through our phone and
- 15:45Speaker 3: it's like, if I haven't talked to you in like
- 15:48Speaker 3: eight months, I can't remember. It was a year, and
- 15:50Speaker 3: then it was six months and then we met in
- 15:51Speaker 3: the middle. You're not getting an.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Invite, you're not getting him in. Well, that's smart, that's smart.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Cut the guest list down.
- 15:57Speaker 3: What are you doing, Angie? Other than like you that's
- 16:00Speaker 3: not a big Thanksgiving person. Is not what you're doing.
- 16:02Speaker 5: You know, what I will tell you is that I
- 16:04Speaker 5: already spent thirty dollars on the roast, Like, because I'm vegan,
- 16:09Speaker 5: so we don't do turkey, but we do a holiday
- 16:12Speaker 5: a vegan holiday roast.
- 16:14Speaker 3: But first, what's a vegan roast?
- 16:18Speaker 2: It's like it's got tofu. There's no way that I
- 16:23Speaker 2: could explain it and it would sound good. But it
- 16:26Speaker 2: does taste good.
- 16:26Speaker 1: But it is a little pricey because how much is
- 16:29Speaker 1: a turkey in comparison.
- 16:30Speaker 3: I'll be honestly, I've never had to buy one. I
- 16:32Speaker 3: have no idea, but that's like.
- 16:34Speaker 2: The most expensive everything else.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I feel like we already kind of have the stuff
- 16:37Speaker 1: in the house because I don't adhere.
- 16:39Speaker 2: This is how I'm saving.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I don't have to buy too much extra and groceries
- 16:44Speaker 1: for the Thanksgiving meal because I don't like traditional Thanksgiving food.
- 16:49Speaker 1: So it's more like, let's just make a meal that's
- 16:52Speaker 1: hardy that we really like, that's your thing, and eat a.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Lot of it.
- 16:55Speaker 1: So we stuff ourselves, but not necessarily with Thanksgiving food.
- 16:59Speaker 2: That's how I'm saying money.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Pan, or what are you doing to cut back for
- 17:02Speaker 3: Thanksgiving spending?
- 17:03Speaker 2: Man, We're doing a pot luck Thanksgiving this year.
- 17:06Speaker 4: I'm cooking a turkey and the rest of my family
- 17:08Speaker 4: is making everything else and bringing it over.
- 17:10Speaker 2: So we're basically dividing all the costs and cooking duties
- 17:13Speaker 2: among all the households.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Thank you to makes sense, that's the vibe right there. Hey,
- 17:17Speaker 3: everyone bring one thing. Yeah, makes it fair for everyone,
- 17:21Speaker 3: and it just kind of takes the burden off of
- 17:24Speaker 3: one house. If you have a house that everyone kind
- 17:26Speaker 3: of gathers to, Yeah.
- 17:27Speaker 1: That's you know what, that's a smart thing if you
- 17:29Speaker 1: really be like I'll host it at my house.
- 17:32Speaker 2: I like, I'll be the atmosphere.
- 17:34Speaker 1: But then you all gotta make your own dishes and
- 17:37Speaker 1: bring them.
- 17:37Speaker 2: That's smart.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Do you want to know this? I think it's this weekend.
- 17:40Speaker 3: I got to check with my wife. People. I've learned
- 17:42Speaker 3: over the past year and a half that no one
- 17:45Speaker 3: texts me anymore about details for anything. Everyone goes straight
- 17:49Speaker 3: to the source, and the source is Corey. Yeah, I
- 17:52Speaker 3: have no clue what is going on this weekend for
- 17:55Speaker 3: this friend's giving. I just know that I have to
- 17:57Speaker 3: get a turkey, all right. My job is the turkey.
- 18:00Speaker 3: And then everyone else is bringing something luck style, very
- 18:04Speaker 3: potluck style. You know what. Bums me out? Though I
- 18:07Speaker 3: usually am the dishes hero at Thanksgiving. At your Thanksgiving,
- 18:12Speaker 3: everybody has a dishes hero. There's someone who steps up
- 18:16Speaker 3: to the plate at the end to wash by hand
- 18:19Speaker 3: all this good silverware and china and blah blah blah.
- 18:23Speaker 3: I never bring anything for Thanksgiving because I'm trash at cooking.
- 18:26Speaker 3: So I bring down dish soap and I do the dishes. Okay,
- 18:30Speaker 3: I've been doing this for years. The problem is when
- 18:33Speaker 3: you host Thanksgiving and you're doing the turkey, who's gonna
- 18:36Speaker 3: do the dishes for me? My buddies?
- 18:38Speaker 2: You know what, Sam?
- 18:39Speaker 1: If I get invited to this friends giving, I feel
- 18:41Speaker 1: like tomorrow we need to talk about this more, because
- 18:43Speaker 1: I'm actually really offended that I'm only hearing about the
- 18:45Speaker 1: friendsgiving for the first time right now.
- 18:47Speaker 2: But I will be the dishes hero if I can
- 18:49Speaker 2: score the invite.
- 18:50Speaker 3: That's beautiful. Let me talk to my wife care.
- 18:55Speaker 2: I need some good.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 19:01Speaker 4: Good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 19:05Speaker 3: A quick reminder. If something ever comes up that you
- 19:08Speaker 3: think would be really cool for Gabe's Good News of
- 19:11Speaker 3: the day, message it to us, whether it's on Facebook,
- 19:13Speaker 3: or you can call us at seven oh one two
- 19:15Speaker 3: eight zero one nine eight seven, or text us. If
- 19:18Speaker 3: there's something right here in the FM area that you're like, oh,
- 19:20Speaker 3: that would fit perfect for that, make sure you let
- 19:22Speaker 3: me know about it because I would love to share those. Now.
- 19:25Speaker 3: The Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers, they might be
- 19:27Speaker 3: rivals on the field, Angie, but that doesn't mean there
- 19:31Speaker 3: can't beat some love and joy spread between the two teams. Here.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Last Thursday, there were some fourth graders in Green Bay
- 19:39Speaker 3: who visited this park to distribute sixty one handmade nit scarves.
- 19:46Speaker 3: All right, these kids did this handmade. They were donated
- 19:49Speaker 3: by community member Linda Stosgad for people in need as
- 19:54Speaker 3: the winter approaches. These students they tied the scarves to
- 19:57Speaker 3: the trees, labeled them with a note inviting anyone who
- 20:00Speaker 3: is cold to take one, and the activity served as
- 20:03Speaker 3: double duty as both a charitable effort and a social
- 20:06Speaker 3: studies lesson about the challenges some communities community members face.
- 20:11Speaker 3: The school says this is the second year of the
- 20:14Speaker 3: project and they're already planning to make more scarves for
- 20:17Speaker 3: next year. So while I hate watching Jordan Love carve
- 20:20Speaker 3: up my vikings defense, I do love seeing this just
- 20:24Speaker 3: from any kid of any football team. Yeah, that's very sweet,
- 20:28Speaker 3: very cool. It's always awesome. There's only just a little
- 20:30Speaker 3: extra oomphe when it involves like dogs or just kids. Yeah,
- 20:34Speaker 3: gabes good news of the day. So way to go
- 20:36Speaker 3: to these kids, and I hope they continue doing that
- 20:38Speaker 3: in the future. The world is full of nice people.
- 20:40Speaker 3: If you can't find one, you gotta be one.
