Canceled Too Soon #239 | "Turn-On" (8:30pm-8:40pm, February 5, 1969)
William Bibbiani and Witney Seibold bring CANCELED TOO SOON back for one (for now) very special episode, because one of the most infamous TV shows in U.S. history has finally surfaced... TURN-ON, the sketch comedy series so controversial it was canceled during the first commercial break!
It's a series from the creators of ROWAN AND MARTIN'S LAUGH-IN, co-written by Albert Brooks, about a network that uses a computer to automatically generate content. It may be good, it may be bad, but it sure was ahead of its time.
But was it CANCELED TOO SOON? Let's find out!
