- 0:40Speaker 1: this week to get to that.

- 0:44Speaker 1: have to issue you a disclaimer as usual, please hide
- 0:48Speaker 1: your wife and you better hide those kids. They don't
- 0:51Speaker 1: need to be around listening to us talk. Are you

- 2:22Speaker 1: even want to do takeaways? I mean, I don't know
- 2:24Speaker 1: if I have a takeaway.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Girl, I'm just like, I'm bored.
- 2:27Speaker 1: I'm bored too. And there's only one other episode. The
- 2:30Speaker 1: next episode is a behind the scenes with Cody Brown.
- 2:34Speaker 1: And we're not going to cover that.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I could care less.
- 2:36Speaker 1: And so the next episode will be, I think, eight
- 2:39Speaker 1: full episodes. Yeah. For season 10. So it's a really
- 2:43Speaker 1: short season, huh?
- 2:44Speaker 2: Yeah. Because I'm wondering if they're trying to like trim
- 2:47Speaker 2: out some of the drama or something or save it
- 2:49Speaker 2: for season 11.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Hey, I don't know what's coming up in season 11
- 2:52Speaker 1: that's so drama-licious.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I don't know either.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Other than Leon and Mary. Oh, also, well, Tony. Too
- 2:59Speaker 1: many titles, Tony. This episode was our first mention of Tony.
- 3:03Speaker 2: That was pretty great.
- 3:03Speaker 1: So maybe it's the wedding and then McKelty with her
- 3:07Speaker 1: wedding demands. Yeah. And the second mortgage of it all. Okay,
- 3:10Speaker 1: so I can't wait. Yeah, me too. For season 11.
- 3:12Speaker 1: So without further ado, though, let's get into this recap
- 3:15Speaker 1: of season 10, episode 13. seven uh-huh a tattoo to
- 3:21Speaker 1: mary makes amends does she kinda.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Does she does she i mean she painted some trees.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Nobody was really feeling that least of all cody.
- 3:31Speaker 2: That was pretty crazy.
- 3:33Speaker 1: And the second to cody would be leon leon with
- 3:36Speaker 1: their attitude not feeling it at all.
- 3:40Speaker 2: This episode was kind of all over the place honestly
- 3:42Speaker 2: we start off with like a recap of ariela may
- 3:46Speaker 2: who's like a few weeks old or something and She's
- 3:48Speaker 2: such a magical, wonderful baby. She's got this like calming effect.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Like everyone who's around her just goes to sleep. She's
- 3:56Speaker 2: so amazing. She makes me feel safe.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I don't know what it is, but I feel safe.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I feel so safe. I feel so safe with her.
- 4:06Speaker 2: And Robin wants us to know that she's a little
- 4:09Speaker 2: nervous about bringing this little baby on a plane to Hawaii.
- 4:14Speaker 2: And she's just not sure if she's going to go.
- 4:16Speaker 2: And so then it's like this you know, lingering thing
- 4:18Speaker 2: throughout the episode. Is Robin going to go to Hawaii?
- 4:21Speaker 1: Nobody wants you to go anyway.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Stay home, bitch.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Sidebar. What do you think of like parents who take
- 4:27Speaker 1: their three month old, two month old child on a
- 4:32Speaker 1: plane for, I mean, what is this from Vegas? So
- 4:34Speaker 1: from LA to Hawaii is like five hours. So we're
- 4:37Speaker 1: talking probably if they're doing a stopover, it's going to
- 4:40Speaker 1: be like a huge day. But if they're going, it's
- 4:42Speaker 1: a straight shot. It's probably eight hours. Yeah. You're taking
- 4:45Speaker 1: a little baby. On an eight hour flight, the baby's
- 4:49Speaker 1: going to be crying the entire time. You're going to
- 4:51Speaker 1: visit that upon everybody else. And that baby's not going
- 4:54Speaker 1: to be happy either because you know, when you lose pressure,
- 4:57Speaker 1: the ears pop. I just don't understand. Why would you
- 5:01Speaker 1: take a baby?
- 5:01Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm sure there's situations where you might
- 5:04Speaker 2: need to, if you're moving around.
- 5:06Speaker 1: They're going to Hawaii.
- 5:07Speaker 2: But these people are going to Hawaii. And I'm like,
- 5:10Speaker 2: maybe if Ariella is being like, if she's as chill
- 5:14Speaker 2: as they're saying she is. And if she doesn't cry
- 5:16Speaker 2: on the plane, like, okay, fine. But if you're bringing
- 5:19Speaker 2: your crying screaming baby and you know you have a
- 5:22Speaker 2: crying screaming baby and you're bringing it on a flight.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I hate those people.
- 5:26Speaker 2: I'm just like, what are you doing?
- 5:27Speaker 1: Did you see that family that was like kicked off
- 5:29Speaker 1: a flight because their kids were just screaming? So before
- 5:32Speaker 1: they even left, these kids were absolutely crashing out, screaming
- 5:39Speaker 1: the entire time. And they actually kicked the family off.
- 5:42Speaker 1: off the flight.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Dang.
- 5:44Speaker 1: And the family was so upset. But I'm like, in
- 5:47Speaker 1: the background, like.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Well, but like, if you can't control your kids, like,
- 5:50Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Well, for example, your wife, my daughter, when she was
- 5:56Speaker 1: two years old, three years old, was an absolute terrorist.
- 6:02Speaker 1: When we would go to a restaurant, she, as soon
- 6:05Speaker 1: as she perceived that we were someplace that required a
- 6:09Speaker 1: bit of decorum, she would... Flip the F out.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Stop it.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Screaming, hitting the table. It's not coming out.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Of her nose.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Really? Just hugely loud. And did I sit there with
- 6:22Speaker 1: her and make everybody in the restaurant have to try
- 6:25Speaker 1: and eat their meals while my daughter is pitching the
- 6:28Speaker 1: fit of all time?
- 6:29Speaker 2: No.
- 6:30Speaker 1: No. pick up my kid. I have to go sit
- 6:32Speaker 1: with my kid outside in the car until she calms down.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I will never do that. And in fact, when she
- 6:36Speaker 1: was about three years old, I told my then husband like,
- 6:39Speaker 1: I'm no more restaurants, no more any of that until,
- 6:43Speaker 1: until she can be a civilized little person because it's
- 6:46Speaker 1: embarrassing to me. She's not having fun and everybody else
- 6:50Speaker 1: is paying a lot of money to be there. Just
- 6:52Speaker 1: like everybody's paying to be on that flight.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I'm probably pissing off a lot of young parents. I'm sorry,
- 6:59Speaker 1: but I'm just like a lot of People don't care.
- 7:01Speaker 1: And then, you know, I know people like in the
- 7:04Speaker 1: restaurant business and stuff, some parents bring their kids, their
- 7:08Speaker 1: toddlers in and they like smash the pancakes and they
- 7:12Speaker 1: throw the straws and the food and they dump the drinks.
- 7:15Speaker 1: And then those parents just collect their children and they
- 7:18Speaker 1: leave the restaurant. And leave the entire mess for somebody
- 7:21Speaker 1: else to clean up.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what pisses me off more than anything. I'm like,
- 7:25Speaker 2: if you're going to be that inconsiderate, that's crazy because
- 7:27Speaker 2: it's not like the waitress's job or the busboy's job
- 7:30Speaker 2: to like clean up after your little kid. I mean,
- 7:32Speaker 2: I get a little bit of a mess or whatever
- 7:34Speaker 2: if you can't wipe the table down like fine, but...
- 7:36Speaker 2: If you're just going to let your kids, like, throw
- 7:38Speaker 2: all of their food on the ground and, like, you're
- 7:40Speaker 2: not even going to make an effort to try and
- 7:42Speaker 2: clean it up, that's crazy to me.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Then you ain't shit.
- 7:44Speaker 2: That's crazy to me.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Do you remember a few years ago this lady got
- 7:48Speaker 1: kicked out of a restaurant because she was literally changing
- 7:51Speaker 1: a poopy diaper on the table where she was eating
- 7:54Speaker 1: and everybody else was sitting around her?
- 7:57Speaker 2: Nasty.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Something's going terribly awry on our planet right now. Dude,
- 8:02Speaker 1: that's crazy. Yes. And I'm not saying this is the
- 8:06Speaker 1: kind of mom that Robin is bringing her young daughter
- 8:10Speaker 1: on a plane, but I just, I would never take
- 8:12Speaker 1: a three month old baby on an eight hour flight
- 8:15Speaker 1: to Hawaii or even like take them to Hawaii and.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Put them through all of that.
- 8:20Speaker 2: No, yeah. And like, I can kind of understand Robin's
- 8:22Speaker 2: concern about it in this episode. But then I'm like,
- 8:25Speaker 2: why do you guys agree to this TLC funded trip then?
- 8:28Speaker 1: Because they would never go otherwise unless TLC paid for it.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Well, I'm like, then tell TLC to do it later
- 8:34Speaker 2: in the year when Ariella is older. Like, I don't know.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I feel like you guys have the power to do that.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Maybe they don't have the power.
- 8:40Speaker 2: That's crazy to me. So TLC is like, we're going
- 8:43Speaker 2: to take you to Hawaii on spring break, whether you
- 8:46Speaker 2: like it or not. Yeah. Like, that's stupid.
- 8:48Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 8:49Speaker 2: I don't know. The whole thing is, like, dumb in
- 8:52Speaker 2: this episode. The way they're framing it is, like, Robin's
- 8:53Speaker 2: all insecure and worried about it, but she ends up
- 8:56Speaker 2: going anyway.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Of course she does. She was always going to go.
- 8:59Speaker 2: It's just stupid. And then we have, like, a little
- 9:00Speaker 2: segment with Mary and Janelle doing therapy with Nancy, the.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Really terrible therapist. Can we stop with Nancy?
- 9:09Speaker 2: Is she even awake? I don't know.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Oh, that's really interesting. Two different styles of being.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Oh!
- 9:16Speaker 1: Gotcha. Where are the paddles?
- 9:18Speaker 2: And she's not doing any kind of therapeutic work at all,
- 9:21Speaker 2: in my opinion. Is she even licensed? I don't know.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Is she an actress?
- 9:24Speaker 2: I don't know. But how was your Thanksgiving, Mary and Janelle?
- 9:28Speaker 2: Tell me about it. I want to know your feelings.
- 9:32Speaker 2: And Janelle's like, it was very enlightening, actually. It was
- 9:35Speaker 2: very enlightening for me.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Okay.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Right.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Well, because, you know, Janelle brings up the fact that
- 9:42Speaker 1: she did fuck all. With the preparations for Thanksgiving, she
- 9:47Speaker 1: painted a bunch of cans badly.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:49Speaker 1: And, you know, she was very overwhelmed by Mary's need
- 9:53Speaker 1: to kind of take over and organize. But like, what
- 9:55Speaker 1: is Mary supposed to do when you do fuck all?
- 9:58Speaker 1: And so they discussed their longings. dynamic and got absolutely nowhere.
- 10:03Speaker 1: They have clarity that these are the people they are. Yeah.
- 10:06Speaker 1: But there's no plan to change.
- 10:08Speaker 2: And then they come up with a really great idea
- 10:10Speaker 2: of doing another crafting activity or another activity together in
- 10:14Speaker 2: Hawaii as like a way of bonding with each other.
- 10:18Speaker 2: And Mary even in her talking head is like, I
- 10:20Speaker 2: don't know what the fuck we're going to do together. Like,
- 10:23Speaker 2: what are we going to do in Hawaii? Like drink
- 10:25Speaker 2: some drinks on the beach?
- 10:27Speaker 1: That would be fantastic.
- 10:28Speaker 2: And that could be a bonding experiment. I don't know.
- 10:31Speaker 2: My thought while watching all of this and like watching
- 10:34Speaker 2: all of these scenes with Mary and Janelle this whole
- 10:36Speaker 2: season is I'm like, This is BS. This is like
- 10:39Speaker 2: a distraction from the fact that Mary and Cody's relationship
- 10:43Speaker 2: is crumbling and that Mary had a full-on affair online
- 10:47Speaker 2: with a catfish.
- 10:48Speaker 1: And a banana in her mouth.
- 10:49Speaker 2: And a banana in her mouth.
- 10:50Speaker 1: While in a tub.
- 10:51Speaker 2: While in a tub.
- 10:52Speaker 1: In a haunted house. While Leon was telling her to
- 10:55Speaker 1: stop that shit, mom.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Like, I feel like this is all orchestrated by TLC. Like,
- 11:01Speaker 2: you know what? If you want to take the heat
- 11:02Speaker 2: off of you and Cody and the fact that you
- 11:05Speaker 2: were an idiot and sucking on a banana.
- 11:07Speaker 1: And a cheater.
- 11:08Speaker 2: And a cheater. Let's focus on you and Janelle's relationship.
- 11:12Speaker 1: If that were the case and Mary was trying to
- 11:15Speaker 1: use therapy with Janelle to rehab her image, wouldn't she
- 11:19Speaker 1: be less of a bitch? Because she's in therapy with
- 11:22Speaker 1: like this stink face.
- 11:24Speaker 2: I know.
- 11:25Speaker 1: All indignant that Janelle is calling her out for Thanksgiving
- 11:29Speaker 1: and how she conducted herself. I'm like, there's no softness
- 11:33Speaker 1: in Mary.
- 11:34Speaker 2: At all.
- 11:34Speaker 1: With anybody in the family. Maybe she's got softness with
- 11:37Speaker 1: her friends, but we just really don't see it.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Her walls are up. Her walls are up.
- 11:42Speaker 1: And so are Janelle's. And I do wonder, like, why
- 11:44Speaker 1: are we doing this? This is stupid.
- 11:46Speaker 2: That's why I'm thinking, like, they're doing this as a
- 11:48Speaker 2: distraction from the catfish scandal. Because they didn't want that
- 11:51Speaker 2: heat on the family. Because honestly, if you look at
- 11:54Speaker 2: it objectively... That was embarrassing, like, for everybody involved.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Yes.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Like, and totally terrible for their image as this, like,
- 12:03Speaker 2: perfect polygamous family. So let's shift the focus to something
- 12:08Speaker 2: like Robin and her water breaking and exploding on her midwife.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Did you see that I edited that into the video?
- 12:15Speaker 1: Of course I did.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Of course I did. It traumatized me again. I know.
- 12:20Speaker 2: But then it's like, well, we'll focus on that and
- 12:23Speaker 2: Robin's birth and then Mary and Janelle working on their things.
- 12:26Speaker 2: But we're not going to talk about Cody and Mary.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Like we talk about it a little bit in the
- 12:30Speaker 2: next scene where Cody goes to Mary's house and like
- 12:32Speaker 2: we're preparing for the Hawaii trip. And you can tell
- 12:35Speaker 2: it's tense.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Super tense.
- 12:36Speaker 2: You can tell it's awkward.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Are we supposed to think that he's there for like their...
- 12:43Speaker 1: scheduled time together because it feels like he's just coming
- 12:47Speaker 1: in to film the scene and then he's going to
- 12:49Speaker 1: immediately bounce away.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Totally.
- 12:51Speaker 1: I did want to say in the segment with Janelle
- 12:53Speaker 1: and Mary, Janelle said something interesting to the camera about
- 12:58Speaker 1: how devastated the family would be if they lost Mary.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Like if Mary had decided to leave, like how that
- 13:05Speaker 1: would have like exploded their entire family. And it just,
- 13:09Speaker 1: for me was such foreshadowing because in just a few
- 13:11Speaker 1: years time, You're going to leave. Christine's going to leave.
- 13:15Speaker 1: And then Mary's going to leave. Everybody's leaving.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought that that was really poignant what Janelle said.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I think she said something like the repercussions of a
- 13:22Speaker 2: wife leaving is like it could do more damage than
- 13:25Speaker 2: we even know. Something like that where she's just like
- 13:30Speaker 2: we can't even perceive the damage. I'm like, yeah.
- 13:33Speaker 1: You're about to hurt me. You're about to.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, it's pretty fucked up. And we're laughing about
- 13:38Speaker 2: it now, but like.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Back then, I'm like, ooh, the writing is on the wall.
- 13:43Speaker 2: And so when Cody's at Mary's house, you can tell
- 13:46Speaker 2: they're having issues. And Cody kind of talks about it
- 13:49Speaker 2: in his talking head. Like, you know, I'm really trying
- 13:52Speaker 2: to rebuild this relationship. He says something like, I'm trying
- 13:55Speaker 2: to warm up a relationship that's gone cold. Which for
- 13:59Speaker 2: once I feel like is kind of a poignant statement,
- 14:03Speaker 2: especially coming from Cody. Because that is kind of what's
- 14:06Speaker 2: happening here. But are we going to elaborate on it?
- 14:09Speaker 2: Are we going to talk about it? No.
- 14:10Speaker 1: No.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Like we're just going to shift the focus and then
- 14:13Speaker 2: we're going to pack for Hawaii and it's going to
- 14:16Speaker 2: be a chaotic mess because the Browns can't be organized
- 14:19Speaker 2: with literally anything. You have Mindy, the babysitter, being like,
- 14:23Speaker 2: I've been packed for weeks. Cause I'm not like any
- 14:26Speaker 2: of these fools.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Cause I'm a normal person. And I've been thinking about
- 14:29Speaker 1: this trip to Hawaii.
- 14:31Speaker 2: For a while. And everyone else is packing like the
- 14:34Speaker 2: night before they leave for the, the fricking flight. But
- 14:37Speaker 2: before that, in the middle of packing, Mary's like, Hey everybody,
- 14:41Speaker 2: can you come to my house? I got a really
- 14:42Speaker 2: important thing I gotta talk to you about. And everyone's like,
- 14:46Speaker 2: What now?
- 14:47Speaker 1: What now?
- 14:49Speaker 2: Literally why? And I thought it was kind of interesting
- 14:52Speaker 2: how like you had multiple people. You had Cody and
- 14:55Speaker 2: Janelle and Robin all kind of saying the same thing
- 14:57Speaker 2: of like, Mary doesn't tell us what she wants to
- 15:00Speaker 2: talk to us about. So we're all just kind of
- 15:03Speaker 2: going over there. a little nervous and wondering what the
- 15:06Speaker 2: hell this is all about. And Cody says something like,
- 15:10Speaker 2: you know, every time in recent years, like Mary has
- 15:13Speaker 2: had to talk to us about something. It's been bad.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Like it's been the catfish. It's been the legal divorce.
- 15:19Speaker 2: It's been like all these things. So I don't know
- 15:21Speaker 2: what this could be. And of course it's Mary being like,
- 15:23Speaker 2: I got gifts for you. I want you guys to
- 15:26Speaker 2: know that I'm a part of this family.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I went to sip and paint and I got really
- 15:30Speaker 1: inspired having a bottle of wine with my watercolors.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Yeah. And then Cody opens all of the paintings. And look,
- 15:39Speaker 2: I will say to Mary's credit, it's kind of a
- 15:42Speaker 2: sweet thing. Yes, it is. I understand the symbolism. I
- 15:45Speaker 2: think it's very sweet that she like made the point
- 15:49Speaker 2: to do this for everybody. And when you see the
- 15:52Speaker 2: final paintings, like you can tell that there was a
- 15:53Speaker 2: lot of work put into them. And I do think
- 15:55Speaker 2: they're cute. Yeah. Okay. I think they're cute. Could you
- 15:59Speaker 2: do that? No.
- 16:01Speaker 1: If I went to a sip and paint and I
- 16:03Speaker 1: had some 21 year old painting teacher and had a
- 16:07Speaker 1: glass of wine, I a hundred percent could do that.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Could you paint 23 times four trees? No, you couldn't.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Yes, I could. Yes, I could. Beatrice. But I mean,
- 16:18Speaker 1: not to downplay, it was a nice gesture. Her intention
- 16:21Speaker 1: was certainly lovely, but it was a little awkward to
- 16:27Speaker 1: me because they all walked in there not knowing what
- 16:29Speaker 1: to expect. And, you know, Cody starts revealing these paintings
- 16:34Speaker 1: and Mary's like, do you notice anything in common with
- 16:37Speaker 1: these paintings?
- 16:39Speaker 2: That's what I hated.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Why?
- 16:40Speaker 2: Because it's like the whole, like, Can you guess the symbolism? No,
- 16:44Speaker 2: I literally can't. Like, why don't you just tell me?
- 16:46Speaker 1: And I don't want to.
- 16:47Speaker 2: No.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Why am I here right now?
- 16:49Speaker 2: Because what if I guess it wrong and then you're
- 16:50Speaker 2: going to be offended? Like, just tell me the purpose
- 16:53Speaker 2: of these.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Janelle actually says that. I'm just going to shut up
- 16:56Speaker 1: and let somebody else guess. I'm not playing these games.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Janelle's like Mary speaking in riddles again. So I'm just
- 17:01Speaker 2: going to be quiet. And I agree because I just,
- 17:04Speaker 2: I hate when people do stuff like that. Like when
- 17:07Speaker 2: they give me a gift and then they want me
- 17:08Speaker 2: to guess what their intention was behind it. Like, no,
- 17:11Speaker 2: tell me. And then I'm going to give you the
- 17:13Speaker 2: reaction that you want me to have. Because Mary was
- 17:16Speaker 2: kind of expecting, especially Cody, to have a particular reaction
- 17:21Speaker 2: about these trees that she painted for him. And she
- 17:23Speaker 2: does end up explaining like the symbolism by them. And
- 17:27Speaker 2: I think Janelle and Christine reacted pretty good. Like Janelle
- 17:30Speaker 2: knew immediately which painting was hers, which was the campfire one,
- 17:33Speaker 2: which I thought was sweet and Janelle thought that this
- 17:36Speaker 2: was like a really sweet gesture. Christine knew exactly which
- 17:38Speaker 2: one her painting was and she loved it. And they
- 17:41Speaker 2: were very positive about it. But you have Cody and
- 17:43Speaker 2: Robin with their stank faces. Robin's like, oh, I guess
- 17:47Speaker 2: the palm tree one is mine. Okay. That's great. Thanks, Miriam.
- 17:52Speaker 2: You guys are so beautiful. And then Cody's like, cool.
- 17:56Speaker 2: And then Leon. And then Leon is on their phone
- 17:59Speaker 2: the whole time. Not giving a fuck. No. And I mean.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Not even looking at Miriam.
- 18:05Speaker 2: And Mary being like, I really wanted Leon to be
- 18:08Speaker 2: there so that way I could reach them. And I
- 18:11Speaker 2: really wanted Leon to see that, you know, I'm a
- 18:13Speaker 2: part of this family and I care about everybody here.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I'm not going anywhere.
- 18:17Speaker 2: And I'm like, but did you do anything for Leon though?
- 18:20Speaker 1: Did you talk to Leon?
- 18:21Speaker 2: Did you talk to Leon?
- 18:22Speaker 1: Did you have a meaningful conversation?
- 18:24Speaker 2: You couldn't even paint a tree, painting for Leon. No.
- 18:27Speaker 2: There's nothing.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Why is Leon there?
- 18:28Speaker 2: I don't know. Holding the baby.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Okay.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Okay. And that's what they're doing pretty much. They're just
- 18:33Speaker 2: sitting there at the table with Ariella Mae. And I
- 18:37Speaker 2: don't know. I felt for Mary in this because I
- 18:40Speaker 2: do see that she's trying in her own kind of
- 18:42Speaker 2: dumb way. But at the same time, it's like Mary,
- 18:47Speaker 2: after this affair. Thank you.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Like, I don't think a few tree paintings is going
- 18:54Speaker 2: to like make everybody feel better about you.
- 18:58Speaker 1: No, and it's really cowardly actually.
- 19:00Speaker 2: You think so?
- 19:01Speaker 1: Yes, because you're giving paintings in lieu of having a
- 19:05Speaker 1: conversation where you own every single thing that you did
- 19:09Speaker 1: and talk about what you want to do in the
- 19:10Speaker 1: future so that we can heal. No, instead, you're going
- 19:13Speaker 1: to paint some paintings and say, are we good now?
- 19:16Speaker 2: Everybody okay?
- 19:17Speaker 1: I want to be here so bad.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I'm making amends.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Great talk.
- 19:21Speaker 2: And I mean, Janelle and Christine are trying to be
- 19:24Speaker 2: sweet about it and trying to accept her gesture. But like,
- 19:27Speaker 2: you're not going to reach Robin and Cody with this.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's also about Mary doing this instead of
- 19:33Speaker 1: what she should be doing because the thing she did,
- 19:37Speaker 1: the scale and the scope of the thing she did
- 19:40Speaker 1: is like really huge. And that's why Leon's sitting there
- 19:44Speaker 1: with a stink face because Leon understands that and Mary
- 19:47Speaker 1: won't admit it. And I think Cody understands. that and
- 19:50Speaker 1: in order for cody to be able to bridge the
- 19:53Speaker 1: gap between him and mary he's gonna have to hear
- 19:56Speaker 1: something from mary that's meaningful besides painting a painting for
- 20:00Speaker 1: him and i just like mary is so incapable of
- 20:03Speaker 1: self-reflection and admitting the things that she's done wrong.
- 20:08Speaker 2: To the full extent. Like, she can say, well, I
- 20:11Speaker 2: engaged in this inappropriate friendship. Okay. But she can't, like,
- 20:14Speaker 2: fully own the fact that it was an affair. And, like,
- 20:17Speaker 2: I know people are going to be in the comments
- 20:18Speaker 2: being like, well, but Cody abandoned her. Of course. He
- 20:21Speaker 2: was a bad husband. Of course. Totally. Like, nobody's denying that.
- 20:24Speaker 2: And Cody has to also be willing to work on
- 20:27Speaker 2: this relationship, too. Like, it does take two here. I
- 20:30Speaker 2: think Mary is trying to bridge the gap in her
- 20:33Speaker 2: own way, even though it is a little stupid. And
- 20:35Speaker 2: maybe she has been admitting things in therapy.
- 20:37Speaker 1: It's what a first grader would do. They'd go to
- 20:39Speaker 1: school and they would make you an ashtray and bring
- 20:41Speaker 1: it back.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Well, maybe they're talking about it in therapy, but we
- 20:44Speaker 2: aren't privy to those conversations.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I highly doubt it.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Instead, we got to talk about Mary and Janelle's dumb relationship.
- 20:51Speaker 2: But Cody does say something like, you know, we're having
- 20:53Speaker 2: a lot of safe talks with Nancy, our therapist.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Is it safe?
- 20:58Speaker 2: Is it safe?
- 20:59Speaker 1: And it's you twice.
- 21:01Speaker 2: But he doesn't really go into detail about it. And
- 21:03Speaker 2: I'm just thinking y'all aren't talking about anything. You're not
- 21:06Speaker 2: talking about any of like the real issues. I don't
- 21:09Speaker 2: think they're talking about shit, really. And they haven't been
- 21:12Speaker 2: for a long time.
- 21:13Speaker 1: And they don't want to either.
- 21:14Speaker 2: No, yeah.
- 21:15Speaker 1: They don't want to confront anything that's going on in
- 21:17Speaker 1: this family.
- 21:18Speaker 2: At all. And I think Mary doesn't want to confront
- 21:20Speaker 2: herself in that situation. I think Cody doesn't want to
- 21:23Speaker 2: confront the fact that he doesn't love Mary. I think
- 21:26Speaker 2: that's what's kind of going on here.
- 21:27Speaker 1: But he knows that inside of himself at this point.
- 21:29Speaker 1: He just doesn't want to actually tell Mary that, right?
- 21:31Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. I feel like at this point,
- 21:34Speaker 2: right now in season 10, Cody is realizing, I don't
- 21:37Speaker 2: love any of these bitches except for Robin. And I
- 21:39Speaker 2: don't think he wants to admit it. And he still
- 21:41Speaker 2: can't really admit it even in these current seasons. Like,
- 21:44Speaker 2: I mean, he says it after they leave him. But
- 21:47Speaker 2: he doesn't really, like, say it before that happens.
- 21:50Speaker 1: But then he takes it back in the next season.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Exactly. So... I don't know. It's sad to see Mary
- 21:56Speaker 2: try to give this gesture, but it's falling on deaf ears.
- 22:00Speaker 2: And it's kind of like, well, what do you expect, lady?
- 22:04Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 22:05Speaker 1: I don't know what you expect.
- 22:06Speaker 2: At this point in time, it's like, what, six or
- 22:07Speaker 2: seven months after the catfish or something or a few
- 22:10Speaker 2: months after that because it happened over the summer and
- 22:12Speaker 2: we just passed the holidays. So it hasn't been a
- 22:15Speaker 2: lot of time to really heal and deal with the
- 22:18Speaker 2: backlash of this. So it's awkward.
- 22:21Speaker 1: But then.
- 22:22Speaker 2: We're just going to shove that away in our suitcases
- 22:25Speaker 2: and fly to Hawaii. And we have to talk about
- 22:28Speaker 2: how it's so crazy and hectic because we have 1
- 22:30Speaker 2: million people flying on this plane. If I was on
- 22:34Speaker 2: this plane with this family, I would be so upset.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Sitting at the gate and seeing an
- 22:38Speaker 1: entire family. Of Mormons. God bless Mormons. Actually, Mormons are great.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I've known a lot of really great Mormons, but just
- 22:44Speaker 1: like an entire family of like kids. And I would
- 22:48Speaker 1: just be like, please no.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Oh my God. Like get me off this plane.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Not my flight. Right. And then they sit down at
- 22:52Speaker 1: your gate. Please not near my seat. And then they
- 22:56Speaker 1: sit right next to you.
- 22:58Speaker 2: I could not. It's almost as bad as those flights
- 23:01Speaker 2: that have those like choir kids on them. And they're
- 23:04Speaker 2: like singing their choir songs. Or like the Taylor Swift.
- 23:07Speaker 1: They're always like, Songs about Jesus. Yeah. And I love
- 23:10Speaker 1: that for you, that you love Jesus. Jesus is great,
- 23:14Speaker 1: but like not everybody wants to hear your song about Jesus.
- 23:18Speaker 2: No.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Have you seen that TikTok of that girl who goes
- 23:22Speaker 1: to like the Sistine Chapel? Or it's like, it's one
- 23:26Speaker 1: of the great cathedrals. It's either in England or Italy somewhere.
- 23:30Speaker 1: And in the middle of the chapel, she starts singing
- 23:33Speaker 1: some song and somebody's filming her in the middle of
- 23:37Speaker 1: the chapel. middle of this worshipful.
- 23:40Speaker 2: She's singing like on tune yeah she has a nice
- 23:43Speaker 2: voice but i don't care if that were me i
- 23:46Speaker 2: would if i were in that cathedral i would roundhouse
- 23:49Speaker 2: kick her right in the face i'd be laughing that's
- 23:52Speaker 2: some of my favorite cringe content and i always send
- 23:55Speaker 2: it to your daughter because she hates it is people
- 23:58Speaker 2: just like singing in public and they're really bad at
- 24:00Speaker 2: singing and they're like so serious about it because they
- 24:02Speaker 2: fancy themselves as like really amazing singers and musicians and
- 24:07Speaker 2: stuff but they're horrible i love that content and every
- 24:10Speaker 2: time i send it to your daughter she's like.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I can't watch this because she's got the voice of
- 24:14Speaker 1: an angel she does she's got a wonderful if.
- 24:16Speaker 2: She was singing in public people would stop and be
- 24:18Speaker 2: like oh my god what a.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Beautiful she would never because she's a normal person i
- 24:22Speaker 1: know it's like people who stop traffic and just start
- 24:25Speaker 1: dancing some tiktok like i would run you over i
- 24:28Speaker 1: would honk I would threaten you with my car. I
- 24:31Speaker 1: would break several laws. I would brandish a weapon. Not
- 24:34Speaker 1: that I have one, but I would be just such
- 24:36Speaker 1: a Karen.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Have you seen, I know we're going on a tangent.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Have you seen the Instagram page called influencers in the wild? No,
- 24:44Speaker 2: it is glorious.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Why don't you share this stuff with me?
- 24:46Speaker 2: I'll have to send it to you. I'll send you
- 24:48Speaker 2: a few videos, but influencers in the wild on Instagram
- 24:51Speaker 2: is fantastic because it's a these like TikTok influencers, like
- 24:55Speaker 2: doing their stupid dances and stuff in public. So they're
- 24:58Speaker 2: filming them as they're doing their thing and they're filming
- 25:00Speaker 2: in public. And it's always at like a beach and
- 25:03Speaker 2: they've got their thong up their ass or like they're
- 25:06Speaker 2: in public and they're like blocking traffic or they're blocking
- 25:09Speaker 2: a store entrance or something. It's so great.
- 25:11Speaker 1: What a mind virus. They're like our current day zombies.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Yeah, pretty much.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Afflicted by narcissism.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Pretty much.
- 25:19Speaker 1: And silicone. Yeah. I really wouldn't attack anyone physically, guys.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Well.
- 25:25Speaker 1: What?
- 25:27Speaker 2: I wouldn't.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I don't. But it gives me flames. It gives me rage.
- 25:32Speaker 1: The main character syndrome, some of these people. Like just
- 25:36Speaker 1: singing at the top of your lungs in the middle
- 25:39Speaker 1: of a cathedral where people are like lighting candles because
- 25:42Speaker 1: they've got loved ones that are sick and stuff. Flames.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Flames.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Anyway, back to Sister Wives.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Back to the spectacle that is the Brown family. Yeah.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Like taking a giant bus to the airport and then.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Two buses. Yeah. Two buses.
- 25:55Speaker 2: And then flying into Hawaii and then talking about how
- 25:58Speaker 2: they're taking up like a third of the baggage claim area.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Like just end me. If I was there at that airport,
- 26:05Speaker 2: I'd be so pissed. I'd be like, where's my luggage?
- 26:07Speaker 1: Right.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Because we're waiting for this stupid family with all these
- 26:10Speaker 2: cameras and stuff around them. Did you recognize where they
- 26:13Speaker 2: were at? I did. Where were they at?
- 26:14Speaker 1: They were in Kona. I don't know what that is.
- 26:17Speaker 2: On a heli. Oh, sorry.
- 26:18Speaker 1: They're in Kona, which is on the island, the big island,
- 26:21Speaker 1: or the island of Hawaii. And I don't know if
- 26:23Speaker 1: you saw when they were driving by the sign that
- 26:25Speaker 1: said volcano.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I did see that.
- 26:27Speaker 1: So volcano is where I spent many years of my childhood.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Oh, God.
- 26:31Speaker 1: In the town of Volcano.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Were you triggered? No. Is this a safe space for you?
- 26:35Speaker 2: It's safe. It's safe, Courtney.
- 26:36Speaker 1: No, but it was, I spent a lot of time
- 26:39Speaker 1: there and it was situated right on the crater of Kilauea,
- 26:44Speaker 1: which is the volcano that is currently erupting still.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:48Speaker 1: And that's where I lived, hun.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Wow.
- 26:49Speaker 1: And I went to school in Hilo. So I spent
- 26:53Speaker 1: a lot of my youth on the big island and
- 26:55Speaker 1: then I moved to Oahu, which is where Honolulu is,
- 26:59Speaker 1: where there's, at the time was more civilization. But yeah,
- 27:02Speaker 1: it was... It was interesting. So that's Conan. That's the
- 27:05Speaker 1: other side of the island from where I was.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Is it pretty touristy? Yes. Yeah, that makes sense.
- 27:10Speaker 1: It is pretty touristy.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Did you hate the tourists there?
- 27:15Speaker 1: No, I didn't. But, you know, I was pretty young.
- 27:19Speaker 1: And my parents actually worked at Kilauea Military Camp. My
- 27:24Speaker 1: father was the bartender, which was so great for him
- 27:26Speaker 1: as an alcoholic. My mother worked there as well. And
- 27:30Speaker 1: so you had tourists that were coming in and leaving
- 27:33Speaker 1: a lot. So that was part of the industry itself
- 27:35Speaker 1: was like my family worked with that industry. And it's
- 27:38Speaker 1: the biggest industry or was at the time in Hawaii
- 27:40Speaker 1: was the tourism industry. And back then you had a
- 27:43Speaker 1: semblance of respect for that and then for tourists because
- 27:46Speaker 1: they were coming into your economy and they were bringing
- 27:48Speaker 1: a lot of money. But now... Year of Our Lord 2026,
- 27:51Speaker 1: it ain't the same over there, honey.
- 27:54Speaker 2: I was wondering about that because it is a big
- 27:57Speaker 2: part of the economy there, but at the same time,
- 27:59Speaker 2: it's like a double-edged sword because now you've got all
- 28:02Speaker 2: these boomers and stuff moving to Hawaii.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Well, you just have also a lot of tourists and
- 28:08Speaker 1: the ecological damage that it's actually doing to reefs and
- 28:11Speaker 1: things of that nature and also the disparity between of
- 28:14Speaker 1: the wealth that's coming in vis-a-vis the tourists versus like
- 28:17Speaker 1: the indigenous Hawaiians and the people who actually live there
- 28:20Speaker 1: who are like working literally four jobs just to have
- 28:23Speaker 1: a rundown condo, walk-up condo. Like it's just, It creates
- 28:27Speaker 1: a tension that, you know, I think a lot of
- 28:29Speaker 1: places are actually experiencing, like, for example, Spain.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. I've seen that too.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Madrid and things of that nature, Barcelona or whatever. Like
- 28:36Speaker 1: there's a lot of places that are just sick to
- 28:38Speaker 1: death of tourists.
- 28:40Speaker 2: I bet. I've always wanted to visit Hawaii just to
- 28:43Speaker 2: say that I was there. But at the same time,
- 28:45Speaker 2: I have such a conflicted view on it because I'm like,
- 28:49Speaker 2: I don't really want to be contributing to that problem
- 28:52Speaker 2: at the same time.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Well if you go to hawaii just take me yeah
- 28:56Speaker 1: because as soon as i get there i am right
- 28:58Speaker 1: back to speaking pigeon and kind of just being in
- 29:02Speaker 1: the vernacular and the energy of that place and also
- 29:05Speaker 1: i would take you to the right island because you
- 29:07Speaker 1: don't want to go to the wrong islands yeah i
- 29:08Speaker 1: wouldn't want to do that so they're on the big
- 29:10Speaker 1: island where the volcano is that.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Makes sense well so then they get checked into their
- 29:14Speaker 2: are they like renting a house a booty ass house
- 29:17Speaker 2: it seemed like they were renting a big ass booty
- 29:19Speaker 2: ass yes But that's cool. Every wife has their own
- 29:22Speaker 2: little suite or something. So that way they can share
- 29:25Speaker 2: it with their kids and stuff. And, of course, Cody
- 29:27Speaker 2: is going to be in Robin's suite the entire time. Yes.
- 29:30Speaker 2: And then, of course, the older brothers and the older
- 29:33Speaker 2: sisters are going to share their own rooms. So it's
- 29:36Speaker 2: nice that they have a cool setup and stuff. And
- 29:38Speaker 2: the first night that they get there, they got food
- 29:41Speaker 2: catered or something but of course the eldest siblings like
- 29:44Speaker 2: logan michelle and maddie and caleb are like deuces we're
- 29:48Speaker 2: dipping we're gonna go on a double date fuck y'all
- 29:51Speaker 2: and they go on a double date and that's kind
- 29:53Speaker 2: of like where we end the episode with their little
- 29:55Speaker 2: date and it like There wasn't that much that was
- 29:58Speaker 2: interesting in this. I mean, we got to hear a
- 29:59Speaker 2: little bit from Logan and his like schooling and same
- 30:03Speaker 2: thing with Michelle. I was surprised to hear that both
- 30:05Speaker 2: of them are like in grad school and Logan's looking
- 30:09Speaker 2: at PA school. He wants to be a physician's assistant,
- 30:11Speaker 2: which I think is great.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Which he never does though, right?
- 30:15Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 30:16Speaker 1: She said she was getting her graduate degree in criminal justice.
- 30:20Speaker 2: I think so. So maybe she's like going to law
- 30:22Speaker 2: school or something.
- 30:23Speaker 1: I have no idea. And he was... going to school
- 30:27Speaker 1: to be a physician's assistant but i definitely don't think
- 30:30Speaker 1: that's what he ended up doing.
- 30:31Speaker 2: I don't know i thought he was like a personal
- 30:33Speaker 2: trainer or something it's but he's like also out of
- 30:36Speaker 2: the limelight so maybe we're talking out our ass and
- 30:38Speaker 2: we don't really know.
- 30:39Speaker 1: I don't know if you know what logan does or
- 30:41Speaker 1: what's going on let us know.
- 30:43Speaker 2: It was kind of cute to see them so young
- 30:45Speaker 2: and i like that they're still together to this day
- 30:48Speaker 2: same thing with maddie and caleb i think that that's
- 30:49Speaker 2: very sweet that they've found their people at such a
- 30:53Speaker 2: young age and stuff and you know, Logan and Michelle
- 30:55Speaker 2: kind of talk about where they might relocate and move
- 30:59Speaker 2: to because of their schooling and stuff. And Michelle's like,
- 31:02Speaker 2: it's not an ultimatum, but I don't really want to
- 31:04Speaker 2: move anywhere with you unless we're engaged and you got
- 31:07Speaker 2: a rock on my finger.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Smart girl.
- 31:08Speaker 2: And that's fair. I think that's great. She's really pretty also. Yeah.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Beautiful eyes.
- 31:13Speaker 2: So beautiful. And Logan obviously loves her. And then Maddie
- 31:17Speaker 2: and Caleb kind of talk about their wedding and how
- 31:20Speaker 2: Maddie's going to do something so unconventional, her dad's going
- 31:23Speaker 2: to marry him. Great. Awesome.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Amazing.
- 31:27Speaker 2: And I'm like, that aged like milk. I wonder how
- 31:29Speaker 2: she feels about it now because she doesn't have a
- 31:30Speaker 2: relationship with her dad.
- 31:32Speaker 1: I hope that she cherishes the memory because I think
- 31:34Speaker 1: at the time, if I recall correctly, I think Cody
- 31:38Speaker 1: was really honored to be able to do it, and
- 31:40Speaker 1: it was a very special moment. So I want to
- 31:42Speaker 1: think that that was authentic and genuine, and maybe she
- 31:45Speaker 1: looks back fondly on it. I really liked the part
- 31:49Speaker 1: in this segment where Maddie was addressing Logan and Michelle
- 31:54Speaker 1: and talking about Logan's experience growing up in the family.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Because I want to say she's the only one to
- 32:02Speaker 1: date who really fully articulated what Logan went through. And,
- 32:08Speaker 1: you know, Maddie just straight up says he was our parent. Yeah.
- 32:11Speaker 1: He was the quintessential big brother family. He had all
- 32:14Speaker 1: of the responsibility. He really didn't have an opportunity to
- 32:17Speaker 1: go out and have fun and do all the things
- 32:20Speaker 1: that he wanted to do as a young man because
- 32:22Speaker 1: he had to take care of us and be our
- 32:24Speaker 1: parent in effect. You know, until Michelle came along and
- 32:28Speaker 1: now she just loves seeing Logan. being happy and, and
- 32:32Speaker 1: having this lightness of being and being with somebody who
- 32:35Speaker 1: also truly loves him back. And Maddie says something like,
- 32:38Speaker 1: you know, he's been with people who haven't valued him
- 32:41Speaker 1: in that way, but now with you, like, I just
- 32:43Speaker 1: feel so happy that you found each other. And that
- 32:45Speaker 1: was really a beautiful. testimony. Yeah.
- 32:48Speaker 2: And the fact that she cried about it too. I'm like, man,
- 32:50Speaker 2: you can really feel the emotion.
- 32:51Speaker 1: That's her dad.
- 32:52Speaker 2: It's totally her dad.
- 32:53Speaker 1: That's her real dad.
- 32:54Speaker 2: And she said something very important where she was like,
- 32:56Speaker 2: he's been an adult his whole life. And I'm like,
- 32:59Speaker 2: damn dude. And you're right. She is really the only
- 33:01Speaker 2: one that I think we've heard articulate it that way.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Because I think we tend to talk about the eldest
- 33:08Speaker 2: daughters a lot of the time. And you know, they
- 33:10Speaker 2: definitely did a lot of work too. Like Aspen was
- 33:12Speaker 2: the mom in this situation as well. but like Logan
- 33:15Speaker 2: really has always been at the leaderboard. And because Cody
- 33:20Speaker 2: was just, you know, flopping his hair around and like
- 33:23Speaker 2: selling signs and stuff in downtown Wyoming, like Logan really
- 33:26Speaker 2: did have to step up for not just his siblings
- 33:29Speaker 2: with Janelle, but like all of them, everyone. And that's
- 33:31Speaker 2: a big task. And, you know, you can tell when
- 33:34Speaker 2: Maddie is articulating this to him, he's kind of, he
- 33:37Speaker 2: almost looks uncomfortable a little bit. Like to be perceived
- 33:40Speaker 2: in this way or acknowledged in this way because that's
- 33:43Speaker 2: a really hard place to be like you didn't really
- 33:45Speaker 2: get to have much of a childhood like when you're
- 33:47Speaker 2: a parentified kid you don't get to really experience childhood
- 33:52Speaker 2: to the fullest extent because you're worrying about everybody else
- 33:55Speaker 2: and I was thinking about it to this day like
- 33:58Speaker 2: we know Logan and Michelle don't have kids right now
- 34:01Speaker 2: and I'm like maybe there's a fucking reason and I
- 34:04Speaker 2: would probably be the same boat yeah if I was
- 34:06Speaker 2: Logan he might be.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Choosing to be child free yeah I just want to
- 34:10Speaker 1: live my own life and be self-determining without having to
- 34:13Speaker 1: take care of another person besides my wife.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Yep. Exactly.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Totally fair. I'm sitting here wondering, I wish I could
- 34:20Speaker 1: remember everybody's sign.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Because I'm like, he gives interesting energy. He's got a
- 34:29Speaker 1: very grounded energy, but there's definitely water in there. maybe
- 34:34Speaker 1: even a little bit of fire, but like there's emotionality,
- 34:37Speaker 1: what I'm trying to say. And I know a lot
- 34:38Speaker 1: of you don't care about astrology and I don't either actually,
- 34:41Speaker 1: but it is interesting, like how there are some themes
- 34:44Speaker 1: that actually seem to bear out when you look at people,
- 34:47Speaker 1: but he just seems like there's a lot happening under
- 34:52Speaker 1: the surface of who he is. And he's never really,
- 34:56Speaker 1: maybe until Michelle, he's never really had an opportunity to
- 34:59Speaker 1: allow that to be expressed because He's, I don't know,
- 35:04Speaker 1: I don't know what kind of conversations Janelle would have
- 35:06Speaker 1: had with Logan. I don't know what kind of space
- 35:10Speaker 1: she as a mother or Cody as a father would
- 35:12Speaker 1: have been able to give him. But it just feels
- 35:14Speaker 1: like there's a lot of emotion underneath.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm wondering if he even talks to any of
- 35:20Speaker 2: the parents. Like he probably talks to his mom and stuff, but.
- 35:24Speaker 1: I want to say I heard recently that he does.
- 35:27Speaker 1: He does communicate with like Christine and he shows up
- 35:31Speaker 1: to stuff as well. And he might speak to Cody.
- 35:35Speaker 1: I'm not sure.
- 35:36Speaker 2: I wonder. Me too. Because if I was Logan, and
- 35:40Speaker 2: I kind of have been at periods of time in
- 35:42Speaker 2: my life, like.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Firstborn daughter, that's why.
- 35:45Speaker 2: You know, you go through a period of time where
- 35:47Speaker 2: you're pretty angry at your parents for a while. And
- 35:50Speaker 2: you do just kind of have to sit with that
- 35:52Speaker 2: for a bit until it kind of passes. And it
- 35:55Speaker 2: usually passes with time and obviously therapy and stuff like that.
- 35:58Speaker 2: And really just reflecting on your life. But I just
- 36:01Speaker 2: wonder if he had a period where he was angry
- 36:03Speaker 2: at his parents and it would be totally justified, honestly.
- 36:08Speaker 2: But maybe he's in that period now or maybe he hasn't.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Had it at all.
- 36:11Speaker 2: Maybe he's better than me. I don't fucking know. I
- 36:14Speaker 2: did look up his birthday. He's a Gemini son. I
- 36:17Speaker 2: don't know his full birth chart, but May 21st. He's
- 36:20Speaker 2: only two years older than me.
- 36:21Speaker 1: He's very cuspy with Taurus, though.
- 36:23Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 36:23Speaker 1: Very cuspy with Taurus. Okay.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Gemini. Wow. Okay.
- 36:27Speaker 1: That's interesting.
- 36:28Speaker 2: But maybe he's got like a water moon or something.
- 36:30Speaker 1: Well, but I mean, Gemini though, you've got two different aspects.
- 36:34Speaker 1: You've got the face that you show everybody and then
- 36:37Speaker 1: you've got the other one that you can also slip into.
- 36:39Speaker 1: That's tends to be pretty emotional.
- 36:41Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Anyway, enough about astrology, but I love Logan. I love
- 36:46Speaker 1: Maddie in this moment. I think the four of them,
- 36:48Speaker 1: all of these young people together, like starting out their lives.
- 36:52Speaker 1: I think it's a beautiful thing. I'm glad that they're
- 36:54Speaker 1: doing it away from the rest of the chaos of
- 36:56Speaker 1: the family. Honestly. Because they don't, the chaos of the chaos,
- 37:02Speaker 1: they don't need that. And I hope they have a
- 37:04Speaker 1: wonderful time in Hawaii.
- 37:05Speaker 2: Yeah. And it's just interesting to watch these seasons back
- 37:08Speaker 2: and to see how much the family is really changing.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Like it's not just Mary and the catfish and it's
- 37:13Speaker 2: not just Cody's favoritism of Robin just growing, but like
- 37:17Speaker 2: Cody and Robin just had a baby, but then you
- 37:18Speaker 2: have these eldest kids marrying off and, and running away
- 37:22Speaker 2: kind of a thing and doing their own adult lives.
- 37:24Speaker 2: And like, that's so much for one family to really handle.
- 37:28Speaker 2: And then you still have all these other kids in
- 37:29Speaker 2: the middle that are still trying to do life, you know,
- 37:32Speaker 2: and go through school and stuff like that. And I
- 37:34Speaker 2: don't know, it's just, it's crazy to watch it back
- 37:37Speaker 2: and then to see what it is now. And you
- 37:39Speaker 2: can see, and you can tell why all these older
- 37:42Speaker 2: kids have kind of dipped out of filming. Oh, sure.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Over the years, you know.
- 37:47Speaker 1: They were screwed.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Totally screwed. And I wouldn't want to be a part
- 37:51Speaker 2: of this shit at all, honestly. And then we get
- 37:53Speaker 2: to the preview for the next couple episodes. Again, we're
- 37:56Speaker 2: skipping that Cody episode. I don't give a fuck.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I don't got time for that.
- 38:01Speaker 2: I got a behind the scenes. Fuck you.
- 38:04Speaker 1: On Cody. No thanks.
- 38:05Speaker 2: Absolutely not. So the next episode we'll watch is going
- 38:08Speaker 2: to be like the continuation of the Hawaii trip where
- 38:10Speaker 2: Cody is yelling at Christine on a beach, which I
- 38:14Speaker 2: can't wait to see what that's about. And then we
- 38:16Speaker 2: have Maddie asking Cody to marry them. And he says
- 38:19Speaker 2: he's deeply honored, but also terrified because he doesn't want
- 38:23Speaker 2: to fuck it up. And I think that that does
- 38:25Speaker 2: come from a genuine place. And I do think that
- 38:27Speaker 2: he probably feels some kind of honor for it. And
- 38:30Speaker 2: then we have a conversation about Caleb's dad not being
- 38:34Speaker 2: able to marry them because his mom got diagnosed with
- 38:36Speaker 2: cancer and she's got only a couple years to live,
- 38:40Speaker 2: according to the doctors. And so it's a tense situation.
- 38:43Speaker 2: It also kind of makes sense why they're rushing the
- 38:45Speaker 2: wedding and wanting it to be done right away. But
- 38:48Speaker 2: then we have McKelty coming on in with her black
- 38:51Speaker 2: hair and saying, I met a guy. I met a boy.
- 38:56Speaker 2: And I know she's going to tell Christine, I see
- 38:58Speaker 2: a future with him and I want to get married.
- 39:00Speaker 2: And I think if I remember correctly, she wants to
- 39:02Speaker 2: get married like three months after Maddie, which is ridiculous.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Yeah. I remember the timeline being in question. Like at
- 39:09Speaker 1: one point she wanted to get married before Maddie.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Like almost as if to steal her thunder.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Pretty much. Yeah.
- 39:17Speaker 1: And Cody and Christine are like, absolutely not. And Christine
- 39:22Speaker 1: is so averse to the idea of McKelty getting hitched.
- 39:25Speaker 1: The difference between how she responded to Maddie and Caleb
- 39:30Speaker 1: and how she's going to respond to McKelty and Tony
- 39:32Speaker 1: is like night and day and and honestly McKelty in
- 39:35Speaker 1: terms of maturation she is at a different level than
- 39:38Speaker 1: Maddie that's clear but at the same time it's a
- 39:41Speaker 1: little weird and so as we watch it together I
- 39:43Speaker 1: will have some commentary. I can already tell you that.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. I remember being mad at Christine, actually, for
- 39:49Speaker 2: her reaction to McKelty. Because, like, you cannot approve of
- 39:51Speaker 2: too many tacos, Toni. That's fine or whatever.
- 39:53Speaker 1: But, like. Don't shit all over.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Her happiness.
- 39:57Speaker 2: It's her joy. Right.
- 39:59Speaker 1: But he does. He's going to be insufferable.
- 40:02Speaker 2: Oh, I know. I can't wait.
- 40:03Speaker 1: He's going to talk about roundhouse kicking somebody.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Ooh. Those episodes are going to be good.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Don't make me do it. You know I will.
- 40:09Speaker 2: I know you will.
- 40:09Speaker 1: If I could lift my leg. You think I could
- 40:11Speaker 1: lift my leg to do a roundhouse? Come on now.
- 40:13Speaker 2: You're limber.
- 40:14Speaker 1: No, I am not. Well, is there anything else that
- 40:19Speaker 1: we should say to these beautiful raccoons before we get
- 40:22Speaker 1: about out of here, Beatrice?
- 40:23Speaker 2: Well, we love you. And if you love us, make
- 40:25Speaker 2: sure you leave us a five-star review on your favorite
- 40:28Speaker 2: podcast platform. It'll be really appreciated by us. And that's it.
- 40:31Speaker 1: We will be back next week to talk sister wives
- 40:34Speaker 1: and maybe some pop culture if things pop off. Until then,
- 40:38Speaker 1: please do not forget that we have nothing but love
- 40:39Speaker 1: for you. And peace out.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Bye, guys.
