- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Hawk Talk with former Seahawks wide receiver
- 0:04Speaker 1: Michael Bumpus. Playfac go to roll right, jumpson off into
- 0:07Speaker 1: the right class to Michael Bumpers, who bounces off on
- 0:09Speaker 1: one tackler gets inside the forty down of the thirty
- 0:12Speaker 1: five yard line. Powered by seahawks dot Com map, pump
- 0:16Speaker 1: fakes looking at the goal line, he drows it into
- 0:18Speaker 1: the end n touchdown Saint Hawks. It's Michael Bumpas with
- 0:21Speaker 1: a diving catch in the end zone. A ten yard
- 0:24Speaker 1: touchdown reception for Bumpus, and the kid out of Washington
- 0:28Speaker 1: State has found himself a place on this team. Now
- 0:31Speaker 1: here's your host, NASA Chubby. The Seahawks coming off a
- 0:35Speaker 1: huge victory last weekend in Detroit, beating the lines forty
- 0:38Speaker 1: eight to forty five, bringing their record to two and
- 0:40Speaker 1: two on the season, creating an all type of logjam
- 0:43Speaker 1: in the NFC West. This week, they're taking their talents
- 0:46Speaker 1: across the country to the Big Easy to take on
- 0:49Speaker 1: the New Orleans Saints. Let's waste no more time. I'll
- 0:51Speaker 1: bringing my guy, Michael Bumpus. Let's get right into it.
- 0:54Speaker 1: What's on tap? What's on tap? Bump These Saints, and
- 1:01Speaker 1: I swear I didn't do this on purpose. It's factual.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Our time for not time, there is a straight up
- 1:05Speaker 1: in last place in the NFC South. This has been
- 1:08Speaker 1: four weeks of this where the Seagots keep playing the
- 1:10Speaker 1: last team in the division. You know, love it. It's
- 1:13Speaker 1: week four though, so that actually carries some weight when
- 1:15Speaker 1: I said it, And you know when I said in
- 1:16Speaker 1: week two, in week three, I didn't really mean anything.
- 1:18Speaker 1: So anyway, if you all pay attention to the open
- 1:20Speaker 1: of the show, I've been luckily we've been playing the
- 1:22Speaker 1: last place teams. Anyway, The Saints are, you know, one
- 1:25Speaker 1: in three. They beat the Atlanta Falcons twenty seven to
- 1:28Speaker 1: twenty six in week one. Since then, they lost three straight.
- 1:31Speaker 1: They lost to Tampa twenty to ten. They lost the
- 1:34Speaker 1: Carolina Panthers twenty two fourteen, and they lost in Minnesota
- 1:37Speaker 1: Vikings last week, which you're going to get into in
- 1:39Speaker 1: a second. But bump, since they overcame that sixteen point
- 1:43Speaker 1: fourth quarter deficit against the Falcons, they have struggled, losing
- 1:46Speaker 1: three straight and bump, this game across the pond was
- 1:50Speaker 1: nothing short of a heartbreaker for those Saints. Yeah, it
- 1:54Speaker 1: was bad for the Saints. Man, they didn't have Jameis Winston,
- 1:57Speaker 1: so they're relying on their back with quarterback and Dalton
- 2:00Speaker 1: and Jefferson. Jefferson as seem me justin Jefferson had a
- 2:04Speaker 1: monster couple of weeks and he kind of faded away,
- 2:06Speaker 1: and people like, what's going on over there in Minnesota?
- 2:09Speaker 1: Was he due? He bounces back against the Saints. Ten receptions,
- 2:12Speaker 1: one hundred and forty seven yards and one rushing touchdown.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Is that his first rusting touchdown in his NFL career?
- 2:18Speaker 1: Off to the top of my hat, I think so.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I mean, it was a nice little touch pass, but
- 2:22Speaker 1: I mean they could use him that way a lot more.
- 2:24Speaker 1: But I think that's the first one. Yeah, describe it.
- 2:27Speaker 1: What's going on? We went down over there in London, Londontown.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I mean it really came down to let's just fast forward.
- 2:33Speaker 1: You mentioned your guy came down to him, Marshawn Lattimore,
- 2:36Speaker 1: which we're gonna get into a lot in this podcast.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I promise you that. But he beats him for thirty
- 2:39Speaker 1: nine yard reception that sets up the game winning field
- 2:42Speaker 1: goal twenty fourth seconds lap. So you think the game's over,
- 2:45Speaker 1: let's just chock it up for a win for those guys.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Saints get the ball back Boom thirty two yard passed
- 2:50Speaker 1: across alive from Dalton, a couple more plays setting up
- 2:53Speaker 1: a Will Lutz sixty one yard field goal. Temp. Now,
- 2:56Speaker 1: if you guys were familiar with the Chicago Bears a
- 2:59Speaker 1: couple of years ago, rest in peace, John Clayton. He
- 3:02Speaker 1: deemed it the doink doink, the double side off off
- 3:05Speaker 1: the crossbar on the sidebar bow. Same thing happened in
- 3:08Speaker 1: this game. Hits the crossbar twice, bounces out and the
- 3:12Speaker 1: Vikings hold on for the twenty eight to twenty five win.
- 3:15Speaker 1: And the crazy thing was Lutz was Gucci from sixty
- 3:17Speaker 1: yards earlier in the game. Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 3:20Speaker 1: It was just a one yard difference. So that's a
- 3:21Speaker 1: tough loss for the Saints battling through everything they battled through,
- 3:24Speaker 1: So yeah, that's a heartbreaker for them. Heartbreaker. We're watching
- 3:28Speaker 1: that in slow motion too. We didn't see it in
- 3:31Speaker 1: real time like we caught it in slow motion. So
- 3:33Speaker 1: the anticipation of the room you need, big Ray Babineau
- 3:37Speaker 1: truth find We're all watched with the anticipation and it
- 3:41Speaker 1: was wild men but Andy Donton played pretty well in
- 3:43Speaker 1: backup duties. He was twenty of twenty eight, two thirty
- 3:45Speaker 1: six and one touchdown. The Tavis Murray had a fifty
- 3:48Speaker 1: seven yards on one touchdown on eleven carries. And then
- 3:51Speaker 1: Chris Olave the rookie. What is that of wide receiver?
- 3:54Speaker 1: You Ohio state, that's what they do over there. Four recessions,
- 3:57Speaker 1: sixty seven yards and one touchdown. The Saints a loss
- 4:01Speaker 1: of time of possession and we're penalized ten times for
- 4:03Speaker 1: one U two. We all know about double digit penalties
- 4:05Speaker 1: over here in Seattle, trying to break that. But despite
- 4:08Speaker 1: the loss in the one or three record, the Saints
- 4:10Speaker 1: are just one game out of first place. It sounds
- 4:14Speaker 1: knotted up, just like here in the NFC West. Yeah,
- 4:17Speaker 1: that division's tough, and you'ld go back to that Tampa
- 4:20Speaker 1: Bay Bucks game they lost. They were in that game too,
- 4:22Speaker 1: and then they had the whole dust up with Mike
- 4:24Speaker 1: Evans and their DB's and going on. So they I'm
- 4:28Speaker 1: not ready to write the book on what the Saints
- 4:31Speaker 1: are and what they're not so far this year, but
- 4:33Speaker 1: I do know as they're competitive. What I do know
- 4:34Speaker 1: is we jump into this head to head is they
- 4:36Speaker 1: statisically they're pretty good football team. I mean, I'll jump in.
- 4:39Speaker 1: We'll start on their offense. They're ranked ninth in the
- 4:41Speaker 1: NFL and total offense with getting three hundred and sixty
- 4:44Speaker 1: four yards per game running the ball, they're about middle
- 4:47Speaker 1: of the pack one hundred and eleven yards per game,
- 4:49Speaker 1: sixteenth ranking pass offense, they're ninth at two hundred and
- 4:52Speaker 1: fifty two yards a game and then points per game.
- 4:55Speaker 1: They're little below league average, they're only average in nineteen,
- 4:58Speaker 1: but they're obviously moving the football. This an offense that
- 5:00Speaker 1: has a ton of weapons that we're gonna get into.
- 5:02Speaker 1: So they're doing pretty good things there. And then defensively,
- 5:06Speaker 1: their numbers sick a little bit of a hit last week,
- 5:08Speaker 1: but you know, they're twelfth in total defense, giving up
- 5:11Speaker 1: three hundred twenty eight yards per game. They're twentieth against
- 5:14Speaker 1: the runs, so not as great there, but pass defense
- 5:17Speaker 1: or top ten two hundred three yards per game, and
- 5:19Speaker 1: then points allowed their twentieth giving up twenty four points
- 5:22Speaker 1: per game. So they kind of they're back and forth,
- 5:24Speaker 1: but they're definitely they have the bones of a good
- 5:26Speaker 1: team in terms of the statistics. They're just not there
- 5:28Speaker 1: in a couple of categories that are hurting them. Yeah,
- 5:31Speaker 1: it's tough. You look at their offense in their defense,
- 5:33Speaker 1: you say, this is a good ball club, but doesn't
- 5:35Speaker 1: look like a one in three ball club. On the
- 5:37Speaker 1: other side, for the Seahawks, the offense is growing every
- 5:40Speaker 1: single week win there loss, They are growing Seahawks ringd
- 5:44Speaker 1: tenth overall in offense, thirteenth when it comes to rushing
- 5:46Speaker 1: the ball, twelfth passing the ball, and eleven points per game.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Hawks are putting up twenty three point eight per game. Now,
- 5:52Speaker 1: where the struggles is on the defense. Statistically, when the
- 5:55Speaker 1: worst defense is out there thirty first overall giving a
- 5:58Speaker 1: four twenty eight twenty, I don't think it's the run
- 6:01Speaker 1: in twenty eight against the past and they're giving up
- 6:03Speaker 1: twenty eight points per game that is good for thirty
- 6:06Speaker 1: first in the league. So there's no secret that there
- 6:08Speaker 1: have been some struggles defensively. And I look at that
- 6:11Speaker 1: Detroit Lions again that last game and I go, yeah,
- 6:13Speaker 1: they struggle, but they also turn the ball over a
- 6:15Speaker 1: couple times or forced to turn over two times last
- 6:18Speaker 1: last week. Though, there's something to work with there. They
- 6:21Speaker 1: just got to clean it up. Yeah, I mean, they
- 6:23Speaker 1: have too many good players to kind of have those
- 6:25Speaker 1: those rankings. In my opinion, we've seen them a lot,
- 6:28Speaker 1: we've seen the last couple of years. To see them
- 6:30Speaker 1: start off slow the last two years and get things
- 6:32Speaker 1: worked out, get things figured out. Obviously a lot more
- 6:34Speaker 1: change this year and new coaching staff, new defensive scheme,
- 6:37Speaker 1: guy stepping into positions that hadn't played before. But yeah,
- 6:40Speaker 1: you're hoping that they can kind of clean that up
- 6:41Speaker 1: and improve it because Pete Carroll likes to play defense
- 6:44Speaker 1: and run the football, and I'm sure when he looks
- 6:47Speaker 1: at these stats, I mean that camp that's not good enough.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I know, Clinton Hurt and all those guys. Obviously that's
- 6:51Speaker 1: not good enough. These guys have a lot of good
- 6:53Speaker 1: talent here, a lot of good coaches, So I believe
- 6:56Speaker 1: they're going to get that figured out. But one last thing,
- 6:58Speaker 1: bump would I love to see about this head to
- 7:00Speaker 1: had on the offensive side is forty eight points? Will
- 7:03Speaker 1: do you wonders? In the rankings? I'm telling you, boy,
- 7:05Speaker 1: we jumped into you know, top fifteen, top ten in
- 7:08Speaker 1: the league, and almost all those categories. Yeah, so definitely
- 7:11Speaker 1: love to see that. But man, let's let's get right
- 7:14Speaker 1: into it. We played this team a decent amount of
- 7:16Speaker 1: times for the last couple of years. Let's know the history,
- 7:18Speaker 1: no your history, Saints ly the all time series. I
- 7:22Speaker 1: was actually surprised about this. Six to nine in the
- 7:24Speaker 1: regular season. The Seahawks do have the two old advantage
- 7:27Speaker 1: in the postseason. A couple memorable games. There was a
- 7:30Speaker 1: run by a guy that's kind of familiar around here,
- 7:32Speaker 1: kind of shook the city up. I don't know if
- 7:34Speaker 1: you've heard about that one bum But right now, the
- 7:38Speaker 1: Saints have won the last three meetings and last year
- 7:40Speaker 1: it was painful. Sorry, everyone will take you back into
- 7:43Speaker 1: what happened on Monday night football. DK Metcalf got the
- 7:46Speaker 1: scoring going early eighty four yeard touchdown. Seahawks took a
- 7:49Speaker 1: seven old league that was last time to get the
- 7:51Speaker 1: end zone all night. It was about self and foot
- 7:53Speaker 1: through mistakes. Second game in a row without Russell, and
- 7:57Speaker 1: they struggled. Jason Myers missed two field goals. I would
- 8:00Speaker 1: jumped off sides late in the game on a critical
- 8:02Speaker 1: third down. Additional ninety seconds came off the clock. Seattle
- 8:06Speaker 1: will turn the ball over and downs. A couple of
- 8:07Speaker 1: big sacks, and it was a game that was just
- 8:09Speaker 1: so frustrating because the Saints they were never out of
- 8:12Speaker 1: the game, they were always within us for the entire way.
- 8:15Speaker 1: And I remember Kamar kind of got after us in
- 8:17Speaker 1: the past game. I think he had over over one
- 8:19Speaker 1: hundred yards receiving in a big touchdown before the half.
- 8:22Speaker 1: So it was just it was a bad day at
- 8:24Speaker 1: the office, honestly. But you know, I think a lot
- 8:28Speaker 1: of the same players are involved in this game. We'll
- 8:30Speaker 1: see who's healthy who's not. But I definitely want to
- 8:32Speaker 1: avenge what happened last year. Yeah, let's get it right, man,
- 8:36Speaker 1: Let's let's get it right. Thirteen to ten loss in
- 8:38Speaker 1: looming Field is unaccessible. Let's let's go down to New
- 8:41Speaker 1: Orleans and return the favor. Let's get to what's the
- 8:44Speaker 1: word in the West and the Seahawks or the NFC
- 8:51Speaker 1: West Champs again, what's the word in the West? On
- 8:56Speaker 1: Hawk talk? What's the word? You can look at the
- 9:00Speaker 1: division and say two things. It's either super competitive or
- 9:04Speaker 1: super mid right, all right, the Rams, the Seahawks and
- 9:07Speaker 1: Cardinals and the Nineers, they're all two and two. That
- 9:10Speaker 1: means it is anybody's anybody's Division right now. But let's
- 9:13Speaker 1: talk about the Rams verse of forty nine forty nine ers.
- 9:16Speaker 1: I have won seventh straight against the Rams, but the
- 9:18Speaker 1: Rams did win the NFC championship game last year against
- 9:21Speaker 1: the nineer was talking about regular season. If I am Shanahan,
- 9:24Speaker 1: I'm looking at my boy McVeigh, guy who I came
- 9:26Speaker 1: up the ranks with, and I'm winking out him every now,
- 9:28Speaker 1: and they're like, yeah, all right, you know you got
- 9:30Speaker 1: your ring. But regular season, you know what is up.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Matthew Stafford has been sacked fourteen times and losses this season,
- 9:37Speaker 1: and seven times on Monday nine. You can't protect Matthew Stafford.
- 9:41Speaker 1: The Rams aren't gonna have a chance. Jeff Wilson, he
- 9:44Speaker 1: might be one of the fastest low key players in
- 9:46Speaker 1: the league. His thirty two yard touchdown, he got there
- 9:48Speaker 1: in a hurry. Deebo. We all know what he does.
- 9:51Speaker 1: He had a fifty seven yard touchdown. And then to
- 9:53Speaker 1: la Noah who Funga had a fifty two yard pick
- 9:56Speaker 1: six when he read the screen out beautifully pick six.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Our guy Paul Moyer was texting as he's super excited.
- 10:01Speaker 1: He's saying that his textbook football right there now, The
- 10:05Speaker 1: Rams won the time of possession thirty four minutes to
- 10:07Speaker 1: twenty five and also had eight more first downs. And
- 10:10Speaker 1: say friend, however, they had two Cossi turnovers. Matthew Stafford, Yeah,
- 10:15Speaker 1: he's had better days. He went thirty to forty eight,
- 10:17Speaker 1: twenty four, zero touchdown, one interception, and one lost fumble.
- 10:21Speaker 1: The Rams had nothing in the run game. Darrell Henderson
- 10:25Speaker 1: only had twenty seven yards on seven carries. Again, Cooper
- 10:28Speaker 1: comes gonna get his, especially when he gets nineteen targets.
- 10:31Speaker 1: He had fourteen receptions one hundred and twenty two yards.
- 10:34Speaker 1: You can always count on that man. And then Tyler
- 10:36Speaker 1: Higbee he had ten receptions for seventy three. But one
- 10:39Speaker 1: of my favorite parts of this game, Nast, was your
- 10:42Speaker 1: boy Bobby Wagger. Now what he did, yes between the lines,
- 10:46Speaker 1: not during third down. Now on fourth down. It wasn't
- 10:48Speaker 1: big play. There's some some crazy dude running on the
- 10:51Speaker 1: field doing a gender revilla. Look like he said, Look,
- 10:55Speaker 1: security was struggling to get this man. Bobby said on trip,
- 10:57Speaker 1: I got you the thing that's crazy about this first well,
- 11:00Speaker 1: if you're following this story, this man is final. A
- 11:02Speaker 1: police report against Bobby Lighting right now, just a t
- 11:06Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? Get all the way out of here, dog,
- 11:09Speaker 1: that out of I mean, first of all, like you
- 11:11Speaker 1: say that run around like some gender reveal, and the
- 11:14Speaker 1: other thing too, if you're trying to, you know, bring
- 11:17Speaker 1: awareness to whatever thing you're doing. We can't even read
- 11:20Speaker 1: your shirt. What are you doing? Dog? And you are
- 11:22Speaker 1: lucky that the other dude on the field kind of
- 11:24Speaker 1: got in the way because if Bobby had a clean
- 11:26Speaker 1: run with nothing else there, I mean, he took three
- 11:28Speaker 1: SATs put them down. Hey, Bobby, you're an og for that.
- 11:32Speaker 1: We got left for it. I saw him make a
- 11:33Speaker 1: couple nice plays. He had a nice stop on the
- 11:35Speaker 1: going line. But yeah, the biggest tackle the night for
- 11:38Speaker 1: the Rams was our guy, Bobby wagg you're lighting up
- 11:40Speaker 1: that fan um And then on the forty nine or
- 11:43Speaker 1: side bump Jimmy G. Yeah, this typical Jimmy G game.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Sixteen to twenty seven, two thirty nine, one touchdown, nothing awful, nothing.
- 11:50Speaker 1: The Denver game is awful, but nothing crazy. It just
- 11:53Speaker 1: kind of in the middle. Is going to keep them
- 11:54Speaker 1: in games. He's gonna do just enough to keep them
- 11:56Speaker 1: every game and try to win it. You mentioned Jeff
- 11:58Speaker 1: Wilson Junior let all ball cares Havny four yards on
- 12:01Speaker 1: eighteen carries in a touchdown, Debo Gone Deebo six perceptions,
- 12:04Speaker 1: one hundred and fifteen yards, one touchdown. The thing that
- 12:07Speaker 1: jumped out to me a little bit about this game
- 12:10Speaker 1: was just the wake if the Rams do not look
- 12:13Speaker 1: like a team that just want the Super Bowl. No,
- 12:15Speaker 1: I don't know if it's because they don't have there's
- 12:17Speaker 1: a lot of pieces gone, and mainly to me offensively,
- 12:20Speaker 1: man like Cooper Cup is the dog. He's gonna do
- 12:23Speaker 1: what he's gonna do. But they just is it because
- 12:25Speaker 1: they don't have some of the other other weapons, you know,
- 12:27Speaker 1: the Van Jefferson, a couple of different guys that change things,
- 12:29Speaker 1: ob J, you know, Woods and all those guys, because
- 12:32Speaker 1: right now it just looks like, Okay, Cooper's our only threat,
- 12:35Speaker 1: maybe a little higbee and then if they can't run
- 12:36Speaker 1: the ball, they're in trouble. Yeah, you know. And they
- 12:39Speaker 1: haven't gotten Alan Robinson involved yet. And I've read articles
- 12:42Speaker 1: with McVay saying we gotta get into it involved. Yeah
- 12:44Speaker 1: you do, because you don't have Robert Woods no more.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Robert Woods was a guy stretched defense out and allowed
- 12:48Speaker 1: Cooper Cup to work underneath. You still got Higbee over there, right.
- 12:51Speaker 1: You don't have Odell Beckham anymore. Van Jefferson is gone.
- 12:55Speaker 1: McBay got a coach now, he got it. He really
- 12:57Speaker 1: got a coach. But there's enough talent there to where
- 12:59Speaker 1: you feel like they can correct this thing any minute now. Yeah,
- 13:03Speaker 1: no question about it. We'll see. I mean, hopefully they
- 13:05Speaker 1: don't correct it, know what I'm saying, But you're right,
- 13:09Speaker 1: but they had too many good players over there're too
- 13:11Speaker 1: many good coaches. I think they're gonna get it right
- 13:13Speaker 1: at some point. The other game in the NFC West
- 13:15Speaker 1: was the Cardinals at the Panthers. Man, it seems like
- 13:18Speaker 1: every week these Cardinals come out there and just start slow,
- 13:22Speaker 1: like they're on snooze for a little bit, and then
- 13:24Speaker 1: they turn it on. Since week after week it was
- 13:26Speaker 1: no different thing. It's the Panthers. They fell behind ten
- 13:29Speaker 1: three at the half, but then they're in the first
- 13:31Speaker 1: half of menal struggle bus all the way through punt
- 13:33Speaker 1: three and out, turnover and downs, punt three and out,
- 13:36Speaker 1: pick six, turnover and downs, field goal punt, you flip
- 13:40Speaker 1: it over. The second half, completely different story. Cardinals score
- 13:42Speaker 1: twenty three straight points, scoring on every possession except when
- 13:45Speaker 1: they're taking knees. At the end of the game. Cardinals
- 13:47Speaker 1: went on to win twenty six to sixteen. Kyla Murray
- 13:50Speaker 1: solid game twenty three thirty two, two hundred and seven yards,
- 13:53Speaker 1: two touchdowns, also had the pick six, but he carried
- 13:56Speaker 1: the ball twelve times twenty six yards and a touchdown.
- 14:00Speaker 1: James Conner on fifty five yards on fifteen carries, and
- 14:04Speaker 1: the Cardinals, again, I just never know what to think
- 14:06Speaker 1: about them. We're never gonna have a real representation of
- 14:10Speaker 1: who we think they are, maybe for at least for
- 14:12Speaker 1: another couple of weeks. Because Murray shows it flashes of
- 14:15Speaker 1: brilliance every week. You can show you how good they
- 14:18Speaker 1: can be. But then they have these moments where they
- 14:20Speaker 1: just they just seem just functional. They can't get the
- 14:22Speaker 1: ball going, they can't get started. So I don't know
- 14:24Speaker 1: to think about the Cardinals. All I do know is
- 14:26Speaker 1: it's going to be competitive when we play them a
- 14:28Speaker 1: couple of weeks, and really, anytime you have a game
- 14:31Speaker 1: here in the NFC West is going to be interested. Well,
- 14:34Speaker 1: Bumblet's shifted back over to these New Orleans Saints. Man
- 14:38Speaker 1: up is this whole man up on Hawk Talk? All right,
- 14:49Speaker 1: let's take a look at these matchups. Jamis Winston slash
- 14:52Speaker 1: Andy Dalton. Right, we'll see who we get verse the
- 14:55Speaker 1: Seahawks and defense. Jamis won the starting job last year
- 14:58Speaker 1: in twenty twenty one, playing eight games, but he this
- 15:00Speaker 1: remainder of the season with a torn acl Winston was
- 15:03Speaker 1: playing pretty good last year two. He was ninety five
- 15:06Speaker 1: of one sixty one for eleven hundred and seventy yards
- 15:08Speaker 1: and fourteen touchdowns and three interceptions. The best thing about
- 15:12Speaker 1: Jamis in twenty twenty one was that he took care
- 15:15Speaker 1: of the football. That's something that we're now used to seeing.
- 15:17Speaker 1: He's missed thirty for thirty. I'm gonna toss it up
- 15:19Speaker 1: to you. I'm gonna toss it up to us. It
- 15:20Speaker 1: don't matter. I'm just gonna toss that thing up. In
- 15:23Speaker 1: twenty twenty two so far he was seventy three of
- 15:26Speaker 1: one fifteen for eighty and four touchdowns and five interceptions.
- 15:29Speaker 1: So he looks like he's getting back to turning that
- 15:33Speaker 1: thing over a little bit. But he didn't play in London.
- 15:35Speaker 1: He was dealing with some back issues all season and
- 15:38Speaker 1: a foot and ankle injury, so that they said, look,
- 15:40Speaker 1: we're gonna go with the og Andy Dalton, a guy
- 15:43Speaker 1: who's been in the league for a minute. Nass Andy
- 15:45Speaker 1: Dalton with the Cowboys last year. See what the guyboys
- 15:48Speaker 1: last year? Well, you know he's with the Bears last year.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Is the cow Bears for that? Yeah? Yeah, he's been
- 15:53Speaker 1: I mean, he's been around the block. I mean in Cincinnati.
- 15:56Speaker 1: You know, I was a big fan of Andy Dalton
- 15:58Speaker 1: to come out of TCU. I thought he was a
- 16:00Speaker 1: legitimate quarterback and he was. He led them to the playoffs,
- 16:03Speaker 1: you know, five years in a row, went to the
- 16:05Speaker 1: Pro Bowl three years in that span. Unfortunately, they've lost
- 16:07Speaker 1: in the wildcard every year. And they eventually moved on
- 16:10Speaker 1: from Rvin Lewis and then eventually, you know, Dalton had
- 16:13Speaker 1: to move on because they get this guy named Jree
- 16:15Speaker 1: Burrow that looks like that worked out on their end. Yeah,
- 16:18Speaker 1: goes to Dallas as Dak Prescott's back up, and then
- 16:21Speaker 1: Dak has that horrific ankle injury. Then he comes in
- 16:24Speaker 1: and plays rest that season kind of so so then
- 16:26Speaker 1: takes over in Chicago backs well, came into the year
- 16:30Speaker 1: as the starter, got paid. You know, and they were
- 16:32Speaker 1: slowly just kind of as a placeholder before Justin Fields
- 16:36Speaker 1: took that over and then you know, you mentioned it earlier.
- 16:39Speaker 1: He played okay last week in London twenty of twenty eight,
- 16:42Speaker 1: two thirty six, one Teddy and three scoring drives in
- 16:47Speaker 1: the second half. Andy Dalton and Jameis Winson. To me,
- 16:51Speaker 1: they don't play the same way, but it's a lot
- 16:54Speaker 1: of the same result. I mean, I feel like in
- 16:56Speaker 1: terms of where they're at in their careers, they're gonna
- 16:59Speaker 1: do the same thing. If they take care of football,
- 17:01Speaker 1: they're gonna keep you in games. If they don't, it
- 17:02Speaker 1: could be an ugly day. Both of them have the
- 17:04Speaker 1: capability to make really good plays, and both of them
- 17:06Speaker 1: have the ability to make really bad plays. So, you know,
- 17:10Speaker 1: I don't know how much it really changes he's playing quarterback.
- 17:13Speaker 1: In terms of their offense, neither one of them are
- 17:15Speaker 1: gonna scramble and run down the field all that, So,
- 17:18Speaker 1: I mean, to me, it's kind of a coin flip.
- 17:20Speaker 1: I think it's more about what the Seahawks do defensively
- 17:22Speaker 1: than what Jamis or Andy's gonna do. Yes, it's all
- 17:26Speaker 1: about that defense. You know, the Seahawks at job for
- 17:28Speaker 1: twenty eight against the past, getting up two seventy four
- 17:30Speaker 1: per game. Let's make it like two hundred this game
- 17:33Speaker 1: and will be good to go next matchup. What we
- 17:36Speaker 1: got Gino taking on the Saints defense. Come on, Gino,
- 17:41Speaker 1: Come on, Gene, Yeah, come on, I mean another week.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I just can't say enough about this man. Another fishing
- 17:46Speaker 1: game from Gino. He's playing as good as anyone in
- 17:48Speaker 1: the NFL. We said the last podcast where you can
- 17:50Speaker 1: continue to repeat that at that position still needs the NFL.
- 17:53Speaker 1: And completion percentage with seventy seven percent, that's the highest
- 17:56Speaker 1: completion percentage by any quarterback, and then team's first four
- 18:00Speaker 1: games of a season with a minimum of one hundred
- 18:02Speaker 1: twenty five attempts. He's also third in QB Radiant one
- 18:05Speaker 1: O eight back to back games of three hundred yards.
- 18:07Speaker 1: But he's doing it all. He's in complete command and
- 18:10Speaker 1: that confidence is there. Honestly, the sky's the limit. I
- 18:13Speaker 1: know this defense is a lot better than what they
- 18:16Speaker 1: faced last week in Detroit, but Gino is playing at
- 18:19Speaker 1: a level where it allows them to win multiple ways.
- 18:22Speaker 1: And I just love what I've seen from him this year.
- 18:24Speaker 1: He understands what he's looking at and he understands what's
- 18:28Speaker 1: a call to get his team in position to have
- 18:30Speaker 1: success if the right play isn't called. So that tells
- 18:33Speaker 1: me him and Shanner on the same page. They're doing
- 18:35Speaker 1: their thing. So far this year, Gino has one thousand
- 18:38Speaker 1: and thirty seven yards, six touchdowns, two interceptions. They have
- 18:41Speaker 1: five hundred and fifty five yards of offense. Last week
- 18:44Speaker 1: against Detroit, no punts, and scored ten plus points in
- 18:48Speaker 1: every corner. Both of those first time it's ever happened
- 18:51Speaker 1: in Seahawk history. I never thought I would say Gino's
- 18:54Speaker 1: doing something that happened for the first time in seaowk Kitscher.
- 18:57Speaker 1: I thought Russell had already checked all those boxes in
- 19:00Speaker 1: and had moved on with that. But the Saints, they've
- 19:02Speaker 1: been just above average when it comes to total defensive
- 19:05Speaker 1: line three twenty eight per game. So, I mean, I
- 19:08Speaker 1: look at the Saints defense. You know it's always gonna
- 19:10Speaker 1: be tough down in New Orleans. You know it's gonna
- 19:12Speaker 1: be loud. It was loud in Detroit for the most part,
- 19:14Speaker 1: and he handled that well. So I think he's been there,
- 19:17Speaker 1: done that. It's all about just continuing to build, he says,
- 19:20Speaker 1: he said he can play better. Let me see better,
- 19:23Speaker 1: then yeah, I'd love to see it. And the one thing,
- 19:25Speaker 1: another thing outside of the stats that I love about
- 19:27Speaker 1: Gino is just a sense of control. Even when the
- 19:30Speaker 1: play clock is winding down, it just seems like they're
- 19:32Speaker 1: doing it differently. It just feels like they are no
- 19:36Speaker 1: one's panic and it starts awesome life between Shane Waldron,
- 19:41Speaker 1: Awesome blythe in Gino. It just seems like everyone's on
- 19:43Speaker 1: the same page. It's loud, they're you know, communicating down
- 19:46Speaker 1: the offensive line from the intry out. So I just
- 19:49Speaker 1: level what we're seeing from a control standpoint and hope
- 19:51Speaker 1: to keep going further. Now, bump Man, tell me about
- 19:55Speaker 1: these Saints running backs. Man, So if if this were
- 20:00Speaker 1: three four years ago, I would say these two names
- 20:03Speaker 1: and they would just strike fearing you. Right now, one
- 20:05Speaker 1: of them still does. The other one You're like, okay,
- 20:07Speaker 1: we'll see what he does. Is Album Kamar and mark
- 20:10Speaker 1: Ingram bursts the Seahawks front seven. When Album Kamar is healthy,
- 20:14Speaker 1: There's no denying what he brings to the table. He's
- 20:16Speaker 1: one of the best in the game. He's been a
- 20:18Speaker 1: Pro bowler every year he's been in the league. That
- 20:21Speaker 1: is five times. In his career, he has nine hundred
- 20:24Speaker 1: thirty six carries, four thousand and three hundred thirty eight
- 20:26Speaker 1: yards and forty seven touchdowns, three hundred and seventy eight
- 20:29Speaker 1: receptions for three thousand, two hundred and eighty two yards
- 20:33Speaker 1: and twenty touchdowns. There's not too many running backs who
- 20:35Speaker 1: can do the things that he does. He is a
- 20:37Speaker 1: true dual threat on the field. But this year he's
- 20:40Speaker 1: only played two out of the four games, and in
- 20:42Speaker 1: those games he has twenty four carries for one hundred
- 20:44Speaker 1: yards and zero touchdowns, also five receptions for nineteen yards.
- 20:48Speaker 1: He missed last week's game because of a rib injury,
- 20:50Speaker 1: and he's been listed the last three games with a
- 20:52Speaker 1: rib injury, missing Week two and four, but playing through
- 20:56Speaker 1: it in week three. If he is healthy, you gotta
- 20:58Speaker 1: look after this dude. Yeah, I mean, because I mean,
- 21:03Speaker 1: like is still better. Yeah, if he's dressed, he's a problem.
- 21:07Speaker 1: He's a problem, straight up. I mean, all you gotta
- 21:08Speaker 1: do is look at the game film from last year.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I gotta just check that film out. And we mentioned
- 21:12Speaker 1: a little bit earlier he went off against us last year.
- 21:15Speaker 1: You know, we shut him down a little bit in
- 21:16Speaker 1: the run game, but he was so we held him
- 21:18Speaker 1: the fifty one yards on twenty carries, but he killed
- 21:21Speaker 1: us in past game ten receptions, one hundred and twenty
- 21:23Speaker 1: eight yards in one touchdown. And what's not in those
- 21:25Speaker 1: stats it's how difficult he is to tackle. He is
- 21:29Speaker 1: a problem. Honestly. I don't know if guys on defense
- 21:33Speaker 1: would disagree with me, but I think pound for pound,
- 21:35Speaker 1: he's probably the toughest dude to tackle in the league
- 21:38Speaker 1: in a one on one situation. Yeah, and he's a
- 21:41Speaker 1: finesse guy. He's not even like I'm gonna run you
- 21:42Speaker 1: over type. Yeah, but you still can't get your hands
- 21:45Speaker 1: on him. So he's slippery. He's a problem. And I
- 21:48Speaker 1: think on their injury report it looked like he did
- 21:50Speaker 1: practice today, so we'll see what happens there. Um, you know,
- 21:54Speaker 1: if he can't go, there's another dude. You mentioned it,
- 21:56Speaker 1: older gentleman mark Ingram Heisman winner out of Alabama, AMMA,
- 22:00Speaker 1: which feels like it might have been a two decades ago.
- 22:02Speaker 1: I don't know, It's feel like you've been the league
- 22:04Speaker 1: for a minute, you know. So so far this year,
- 22:05Speaker 1: four games, twenty nine carries on hundred and twenty yards, win, touchdown,
- 22:09Speaker 1: return to New Orleans after you know, the first eight
- 22:10Speaker 1: years in the league there. Then he went to Houston
- 22:13Speaker 1: in Baltimore and then back in New Orleans. So it'll
- 22:16Speaker 1: be interesting. I think the Seahawks have struggled to stop
- 22:18Speaker 1: the run this year, and if Kamar's playing, it's gonna
- 22:22Speaker 1: be They're gonna have their work cut out for him.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Straight up. It's gonna be tough. Yep. And they got
- 22:26Speaker 1: this guy you might know him, Taysom Hill. He might
- 22:28Speaker 1: have got the biggest contract for a guy who has
- 22:29Speaker 1: no position. They even put him anywhere. He just make plays.
- 22:34Speaker 1: He's a believing ball care with twelve and tens, four
- 22:36Speaker 1: hundred and sixteen yards and two touchdowns. The Seahawks ring
- 22:39Speaker 1: twenty ninth, twenty ninth against the rush. They're allowing one
- 22:41Speaker 1: hundred fifty four per game. If Alvin is healthy, Ingram's healthy,
- 22:46Speaker 1: you gotta sprinkle some tastom in there. It's gonna be it.
- 22:51Speaker 1: It could be a tough day. I'm gonna go out
- 22:53Speaker 1: there and put good vibes out there and say, you
- 22:55Speaker 1: know what, they're gonna fix it every week. I don't
- 22:57Speaker 1: even care if we go six weeks with one of
- 23:00Speaker 1: the worst defenses statistically, I'm gonna say, if they're gonna
- 23:02Speaker 1: fix it, because I just I see the personnel and
- 23:05Speaker 1: I know the coach of staff, and I'm like, there's
- 23:07Speaker 1: no way this is going to continue. I mean, yeah,
- 23:10Speaker 1: he makes you want to, you know, pull your hair
- 23:11Speaker 1: out a little bit because you're like, all everyone that
- 23:13Speaker 1: you just mentioned is gonna be good and they're gonna
- 23:15Speaker 1: get it fixed. It's just, you know, hopefully it's this week.
- 23:17Speaker 1: It's been four weeks. Hopefully week five, it does the
- 23:20Speaker 1: trick and things don't get easier outside bump at the
- 23:23Speaker 1: wide receiver position for these Saints taking on the young
- 23:25Speaker 1: corners Eric Willing and Mike Jackson slash Shinny Jones, you
- 23:29Speaker 1: got Michael Thomas, Jovis slangy Krisolavik on paper. Like you
- 23:34Speaker 1: said a couple of years ago, you'd be like, I'm
- 23:36Speaker 1: good man, Like I don't even really want to be
- 23:38Speaker 1: in this matchup because these dudes are monsters. You know.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Michael Thomas started his NFL career four straight one thousand
- 23:44Speaker 1: yards seasons, three time Pro Bowler, First team on Pro eighteen,
- 23:47Speaker 1: twenty nineteen. This man had one of the best seasons
- 23:51Speaker 1: in the game's history at receiver in twenty nineteen, had
- 23:54Speaker 1: one hundred and forty nine receptions when thousand, seven hundred
- 23:57Speaker 1: twenty five yards, nine touchdowns. But has changed a little
- 24:00Speaker 1: bit since twenty nineteen. You know what I'm saying, because
- 24:04Speaker 1: Drew Brees retired. Dan he missed the whole twenty twenty
- 24:07Speaker 1: one season with the ankle injury. There was all that
- 24:08Speaker 1: kind of hubbub about when he could have got the
- 24:10Speaker 1: surgery with him and John Bayden, So he missed that
- 24:13Speaker 1: whole year, and so far in twenty twenty two, he's
- 24:15Speaker 1: got sixteen receptions, one hundred and seventy one yards, three touchdowns.
- 24:18Speaker 1: He did miss last week's game with a toe injury,
- 24:21Speaker 1: so we'll continue to monitor if he's gonna play on Sunday.
- 24:24Speaker 1: But it starts with him. He is a dog, and
- 24:26Speaker 1: he's a dude that I don't care what his numbers
- 24:28Speaker 1: look like right now. He's another dude that is very
- 24:30Speaker 1: dangerous and the secondary's gonna have to come with it
- 24:33Speaker 1: against Michael Thomas. Yeah, Michael Thomas is gonna You still
- 24:37Speaker 1: gotta respect it. Even though he's been banged up. He's
- 24:39Speaker 1: still young. Enough to where you gotta respect it still
- 24:41Speaker 1: got a Jarvis Landry over there. This is first season
- 24:44Speaker 1: in New Orleans after spending his first seasons in Miami
- 24:47Speaker 1: and his last four in Cleveland. Day he's been the
- 24:49Speaker 1: league that long already. That's crazy, man. He's at three
- 24:52Speaker 1: career one thousand yards seasons and the last one was
- 24:55Speaker 1: in twenty nineteen. Twenty twenty two so far, fifteen receptions
- 24:57Speaker 1: one to sixty eight and zero touch downs. But I
- 25:00Speaker 1: really like this dude, a lay out of the Ohio state.
- 25:05Speaker 1: As they say, it's wide out eleventh overall. Pick. I
- 25:10Speaker 1: see this guy on film and he does a little
- 25:11Speaker 1: bit of everything. He can take the short stuff, short
- 25:14Speaker 1: passes and turn them into big games, and then he
- 25:17Speaker 1: can just run right by you down the field and
- 25:19Speaker 1: make plays as well. So far in twenty twenty two,
- 25:22Speaker 1: he has twenty one receptions, three hundred thirty five yards,
- 25:25Speaker 1: one touchdown, leading re see run the team. Yeah, these
- 25:28Speaker 1: three can play. You know, It'll definitely be about what
- 25:32Speaker 1: happens at the quarterback position and getting these men too football.
- 25:35Speaker 1: But this is a very talented bunch, so once again
- 25:37Speaker 1: the work will be cut out for the Seahawks. Cornerback
- 25:39Speaker 1: room three one intercepted a passing back to back weeks
- 25:43Speaker 1: last week, returning for touchdown blocked upon a couple of
- 25:45Speaker 1: weeks ago, So he's kind of getting you that point
- 25:47Speaker 1: where he's making a big play every week. So that's
- 25:49Speaker 1: great to see there. The other side, Michael Jackson got
- 25:52Speaker 1: to start against the lines, but he's starting to split
- 25:54Speaker 1: time with you, dubb stand out. How at your boys,
- 25:56Speaker 1: Sidney Jones, Who's getting in there, which I like to see.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I like to see that competition continuing to be fierce
- 26:01Speaker 1: every week at corner, and Mike Jackson did a lot
- 26:03Speaker 1: of things. He absolutely earned his starting position in camp
- 26:06Speaker 1: and done some really good things so far this year.
- 26:08Speaker 1: But I like to see him getting pushed, you know
- 26:10Speaker 1: what I'm saying, because it's gonna be tough. There's a
- 26:12Speaker 1: lot going on, especially against this receiving corps, So good
- 26:15Speaker 1: to see that happen in there. And then bump the
- 26:19Speaker 1: matchup that I'm looking forward to, potentially the most DK Metcalf,
- 26:24Speaker 1: Marshaw and Lattimore. So first of all, DKs had another
- 26:28Speaker 1: huge week last week. Second week in row. He's a
- 26:30Speaker 1: focal point in this offense. Seven receptions, one hundred and
- 26:33Speaker 1: forty nine yards on ten targets, you know, and with
- 26:36Speaker 1: his reception on Sunday, moved into tenth place all time
- 26:38Speaker 1: in the receiving yards list, passing Sam McCollum. Believe it
- 26:41Speaker 1: or not, we said in our last podcast, DK's first
- 26:43Speaker 1: one hundred yard games since three and twenty twenty one
- 26:46Speaker 1: on the year twenty three receptions, two hundred and eighty
- 26:49Speaker 1: four yards and one touchdown. Now, Bump. The reason I'm
- 26:53Speaker 1: so excited about this matchup is because what we saw
- 26:56Speaker 1: last year and feel the listeners in about what d
- 27:00Speaker 1: he did do this man last year, they went at it.
- 27:03Speaker 1: You know, when you're as good as DK, you're gonna
- 27:05Speaker 1: have a target on your back, you know what I'm saying.
- 27:07Speaker 1: So the first play of the game was a run
- 27:08Speaker 1: playing DK, he put him in the ground. He said, look,
- 27:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna set the tone. That reminds me of back
- 27:13Speaker 1: in the day when I used to play a cover
- 27:16Speaker 1: city to high school. My very first snap on varsity.
- 27:19Speaker 1: My coach, girls, Man, you gotta set a tone. Man,
- 27:21Speaker 1: I mean, these guys are talking. You gotta go out
- 27:23Speaker 1: there him and you gotta block these guys. So that
- 27:25Speaker 1: exactly whether he took me back into the pass right,
- 27:27Speaker 1: but then he beat him up the sideline for eighty
- 27:30Speaker 1: four yard touchdown. Then after that he drew two fifty
- 27:33Speaker 1: yard personal fouls on a lot of more. He's all
- 27:35Speaker 1: in his head. He's all in his head. He's having
- 27:37Speaker 1: a picnic, he's in his kitchen, he's drinking on the
- 27:39Speaker 1: kool a like, he's all up in Lattimore's head. So
- 27:42Speaker 1: and and we know we know a Lattimore's a competitor man.
- 27:45Speaker 1: He's gonna back down from nobody, and he's gonna let
- 27:47Speaker 1: you know he ain't backing down. So it sounds like
- 27:50Speaker 1: you like you like a challenge, you like violence. That's
- 27:52Speaker 1: why you're looking forward to this matchup. Oh, no question
- 27:54Speaker 1: about it. And you know DK's getting asked about it.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Marshan's getting asked about it. All you gotta do is
- 27:58Speaker 1: look up the clips online last year. You know what
- 28:00Speaker 1: I'm saying. It's one of those three you get get
- 28:02Speaker 1: set up in Lattimore. He's thinking, Okay, it's a run play.
- 28:05Speaker 1: But DK macalp is like, uh, this is how today
- 28:07Speaker 1: is gonna go. So I'm excited to get your popcorn
- 28:10Speaker 1: ready because here's the thing. Marshall Lattimore is a hell
- 28:13Speaker 1: of a player. He's had a good last couple of years.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Made the Pro Bowl three times when All Pro in
- 28:17Speaker 1: twenty nineteen. Last year, he had sixty eight tackles, three
- 28:20Speaker 1: interceptions in nineteen passes defended. So far this year, he
- 28:23Speaker 1: got fifteen tackles, one pass defended. Had tough time against
- 28:26Speaker 1: Justin Jefferson last week. Obviously one of the best wide
- 28:29Speaker 1: receivers in the league. It's not can't get easier for
- 28:32Speaker 1: him this week, but it's gonna be one of the
- 28:34Speaker 1: best matchups all season long, I think at the cornerback
- 28:37Speaker 1: position with DK macaps. So I'm definitely excited to watch
- 28:40Speaker 1: that one bump. Yeah, ready to go. And now this
- 28:43Speaker 1: last matchup, man, I'm excited. I'm man. I think it
- 28:47Speaker 1: might be the second matchup that I'm excited for. It's
- 28:50Speaker 1: for Shot Penning versus Saints front seven. We saw what
- 28:53Speaker 1: he did last week with Shot seventeen carries, one fifty
- 28:56Speaker 1: one two touchdowns. Is seventh time in his career he
- 28:59Speaker 1: has your us over one hundred yards. Dude's only played
- 29:03Speaker 1: in so many games and the seven times already he's
- 29:05Speaker 1: gone over one hundred yards the first time he did
- 29:08Speaker 1: it this season, and it was a career high. When
- 29:10Speaker 1: it comes to carries, seventeen carries so far in twenty
- 29:13Speaker 1: twenty two, forty nine carries, two ninety two two touchdowns
- 29:16Speaker 1: and averaging six yards per carry. But I need you
- 29:20Speaker 1: to read the stat that you sent me this morning
- 29:24Speaker 1: about Rashot Penny. This is ridiculous, this one. When I
- 29:27Speaker 1: read it for the first time, I had to send
- 29:28Speaker 1: it to you because like I didn't believe it. So
- 29:31Speaker 1: everyone listening close, because you're gonna want to hear this.
- 29:33Speaker 1: You want to take this out to the cooler talk
- 29:36Speaker 1: when you're at work, when you're talking to your kids.
- 29:38Speaker 1: You want to seem smarter than them. You bring this
- 29:39Speaker 1: stat up because this is what it's about. Right here,
- 29:42Speaker 1: Rashot Penny has five touchdowns of thirty yards or more
- 29:45Speaker 1: dating back to last season. No other NFL player has
- 29:48Speaker 1: more than two dating back to the start of last season.
- 29:51Speaker 1: And let's take a little bit further bump. Yeah, let's
- 29:54Speaker 1: take it back to twenty nineteen. So that'sh Penny has
- 29:57Speaker 1: two more long touchdown runs, bringing his total to seven
- 30:00Speaker 1: touchdowns of thirty plus yards. He's only trailing Derrick Henry
- 30:04Speaker 1: in that same span, who has eight touchdowns of thirty
- 30:07Speaker 1: more makes sense, makes sense. Okay, there's one big difference.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Derrick Henry has nine hundred and twenty six carries to
- 30:16Speaker 1: twenty nineteen. Rashad Penny has two hundred and forty four.
- 30:20Speaker 1: That is a difference of seven hundred and thirty two
- 30:23Speaker 1: carries and he's one touchdown short. All that tells you
- 30:26Speaker 1: that he is the biggest home run hitter in the
- 30:29Speaker 1: National Football League. Shout out to John Boyle for finding
- 30:31Speaker 1: that stat on Seahawks dot Com. He's had a lot
- 30:33Speaker 1: of great work though there and look him up a bump.
- 30:35Speaker 1: That status makes my draw hit the floor. That's ridiculous.
- 30:39Speaker 1: That's over seven hundred less carries than King Henry, respects
- 30:44Speaker 1: one of the best run backs in the league, and
- 30:47Speaker 1: he's got one less explosive. Like it's crazy when you
- 30:50Speaker 1: say it that way, it's almost like we're spoiled and
- 30:52Speaker 1: we didn't even realize, we didn't realize what we're looking at,
- 30:55Speaker 1: and we're seeing these big runs. We're like, oh man,
- 30:57Speaker 1: that was a good that was a good end to
- 30:58Speaker 1: the season. Last share all, you got another couple big
- 31:01Speaker 1: runs this year. Are you doing your thing? But when
- 31:03Speaker 1: you look at the numbers, if this man can stay healthy,
- 31:07Speaker 1: sky is the limit and feed them. Let's go feed
- 31:10Speaker 1: the man, which is a perfect transition to how we're
- 31:12Speaker 1: gonna get this done. Path to victory. After forty five
- 31:17Speaker 1: waits for the staff, Michael Vickton puts it down. That
- 31:20Speaker 1: kick is away. If that kick gun, it's a path
- 31:26Speaker 1: to victory. I'm hawk talk. You mentioned it. Rashad Penny
- 31:30Speaker 1: run that thing. He needs about fifteen to seventeen carries.
- 31:34Speaker 1: I think that's a sweet spot for Rashad. If he does,
- 31:36Speaker 1: you can almost guarantee that this man's gonna have over
- 31:38Speaker 1: a hundred yards and probably gonna have an explosive touchdown
- 31:41Speaker 1: run at some point and build off what happened last week.
- 31:43Speaker 1: This team has some momentum. I know Ray doesn't like it,
- 31:46Speaker 1: but it is what it is. They have some good
- 31:48Speaker 1: vibes offensively, so just keep that thing rolling to do
- 31:50Speaker 1: next week and Gino, keep doing what you're doing. Baby, Hey,
- 31:55Speaker 1: they wrote you off. You ain't right back, keep more ready,
- 31:57Speaker 1: do not right back man, keep big sistant, control that
- 32:01Speaker 1: offense you mentioned running the football, and then DCA has
- 32:04Speaker 1: will win that battle. We need another day out of DK.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Not necessarily one hundred and forty nine yards, it can
- 32:09Speaker 1: be less than a hundle, but a couple of touchdowns.
- 32:11Speaker 1: He just has to make plays that affect the defense
- 32:14Speaker 1: and gets in Lattimore's head. Oh yeah, that's time. Get
- 32:17Speaker 1: your popcorn ready, because that's gonna be one I'm gonna
- 32:19Speaker 1: be watching on almost every snap defensively. Man just gotta
- 32:23Speaker 1: be better. They have. They have the guys in this
- 32:25Speaker 1: locker room to do it. They have the coaching staff
- 32:27Speaker 1: to do it. So I have no there's no doubt
- 32:29Speaker 1: in my mind that they're gonna get this figured out.
- 32:30Speaker 1: They've shown to you two years in a row that
- 32:32Speaker 1: the peakcre coach teams can get this turned around, because
- 32:35Speaker 1: they aren't too good for that. And I think they
- 32:36Speaker 1: just got to stop the explosive plays. They gotta limit that.
- 32:40Speaker 1: They gotta get off the fields third and sixteen, when
- 32:42Speaker 1: a second and twenty three. They can't let guys out
- 32:44Speaker 1: of that, and then they got to tackle. You can't
- 32:46Speaker 1: have you know, if there's an explosive play, it's got
- 32:48Speaker 1: to be down at twenty. It can't be an eighty
- 32:50Speaker 1: four yard run. They can't do this. We know that
- 32:52Speaker 1: they can get that done. So that right there, it
- 32:54Speaker 1: just comes up to that man, too many good players
- 32:56Speaker 1: to give up that many points. This is the week
- 32:58Speaker 1: to get it done. So pull together on defense. I'm
- 33:01Speaker 1: on too many Uchenna. We got Jordan Brooks, we got Quandra,
- 33:05Speaker 1: we got to Read, we got Kobe, we got Al Woods.
- 33:07Speaker 1: It's time, baby, let's get together. They got a squad.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Cannot wait for this game on Sunday, the Seahawks taking
- 33:13Speaker 1: on the New Orleans Saints in the Big Easy. Game

- 33:31Speaker 1: really excited about the Seahawks taking on the Saints. Looking

- 33:36Speaker 1: nasa Chobe. Until next time on Hawk Talk
