With that being said, my guest today is an award-winning subconscious expert, former MedTech founder, and a peace activist who helps entrepreneurs and leaders that have no amount of inner work seem to shift. Please welcome in the one, the only, Christine, it Panini is how you say it? Christine Peine: Almost, well, it's Paine. It's German, so it's like not the easiest one to pronounce if you're not German. Pete "mental Health Champ": Okay, there you go. Well, I am German a little bit, so I failed you on that one. I'm sorry, Christine. But anyways, Christine, why don't you tell everybody a more about yourself? Christine Peine: Okay, well... Well, I'm excited to be here. Thank you for having me. Well, my name is Christine Peine. I'm from Germany. We already established that. I currently live in Spain and I work with the subconscious now, which we already talked a little bit about before that most people don't know what the subconscious is. I'm just going to dive right in and give a little bit of an explanation so that people know, okay, what are we actually talking about here? Pete "mental Health Champ": Mm-hmm. Thank you. Christine Peine: So if you look at your mind, basic human psychology, there is two parts to your mind. There's the conscious mind, which is all of the logical and rational parts, which is where you make a plan, where you take the action steps and basically move forward. That's about five to 10 % of your cognitive function of your mind. Then we have a whole other part, which is the other 90 to 95%. of your human biology, of your cognitive function, that is the subconscious mind. And the subconscious mind, not many people know about it, not many people talk about it, but it's actually the thing that drives us, that moves us. The subconscious has very important functions. It manages our heart rate, our digestion, our breathing, so it makes sure we stay alive. physically, but also make sure to stay, we stay alive through our decisions and through our actions. So for example, if you're driven to work and while you're driving to work, you arrive at work and you're like, how did I get here? I don't remember. I don't remember taking like the turn to the right or the left or if the traffic light was red or what happened. That is usually when our subconscious takes over and does a lot of these things on autopilot because well, we're not needed right now in this moment. Pete "mental Health Champ": Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: And our subconscious does this very often during our day because the conscious mind just takes a lot of energy, so it's easier for the subconscious to take over, to have our habits, if they're good or bad, to really do a few things on autopilot. So now the problem with that is that if the subconscious doesn't like something, for example, we're working towards a specific goal or we want to get more money or we want to get more clients or we want to get a new relationship and the subconscious doesn't like that, It will use this autopilot function to make sure that we take decisions that slowly take us away from reaching that goal. And this is why it's really important to them, make sure, okay, what is the subconscious problem? What are the beliefs in there that say, this is not safe, we don't want that? Change that so that actually the subconscious can support us in getting there to achieving our goals or whatever it is that we want to achieve in that moment. So that's the work I do. That's where I come in helping people if they have any repeating patterns, if they have health issues, fear of being seen, problems with making more money. We look at the subconscious, we look at the blocks that are there, and then we're changing these things so that all of that can become easier. Pete "mental Health Champ": So what made you want to do work with the subconscious? Like you said, a lot of people we've already discussed, a lot of people don't even know what the subconscious really is and what it contains. And it's a very big driving engine that people don't realize until they're like, yeah, okay, now it makes sense. But you know, what made you want to go do that kind of thing? It's an interesting area to be in though. Christine Peine: Yes, I found it through my own needs. I feel like it's always happens like this through your own story. I started my business journey founding and running a medtech company and it was amazing. We founded this medtech company with the big vision, helping arthritis patients heal. We achieved a lot of that. We got investment. We were helping 8,000 patients at the time and it could have been amazing, but it wasn't because I was diagnosed with burnout. Pete "mental Health Champ": Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: I had different health issues that I was diagnosed with, IBS, which is like a stomach digestive issue. I had joint pains. I was not feeling good at all. And in my own healing journey, as I started to try different things, because of course I didn't want to accept, I'm super young, I just founded this company, I don't want to accept to be in the medical system for the rest of my life. So I went to try different things. And I noticed like with everything that I was doing, whether it was therapy or mindset work or even some of like the Eastern medicines, that things started to improve for a little bit. I understood more of what was happening, but I always fell back into the same pattern. The flare came back. I came back into like this feeling I'm gonna burn out if I go back to work. I had like these issues, they just didn't, they didn't fix themselves no matter how much inner work I did. And so I was like, okay, something, there needs to be something else. Like I'm not, getting to the root of the problem. And that's when I came across a post on Instagram talking about the subquantum. was like, okay, this is interesting. I have no idea about it, but let's see. And so I went down this route. I started to study it. I started to understand how the subconscious works, how it affects us, how we can reprogram beliefs. And as soon as I did that and then applied it to myself and reprogrammed these beliefs, the health issues I was experiencing, they were gone. Like literally the joint pains I had had for weeks, they were gone overnight. The IBS I had, it cleared in two weeks. I didn't have this feeling anymore that I would burn out if I would work too hard. And so many things improved in my life that I was like, okay, this is amazing. I need to share this with more people. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah, definitely. You're living proof at work though. mean, all these things are working for you in your favor and things like that too. But it's so interesting though, because the subconscious is so powerful and people don't realize it though. It's a very unexplored space unless you're like do hypnotherapy, then you really get into that kind of stuff and all that kind of things like that. Christine Peine: Yes, no, there is a lot more to... I feel like we're starting to talk a little bit about it more. People are losing the term more loosely, but often they don't know exactly what is the subconscious. They don't know how much it actually affects us. And then the last part is how to actually work with the subconscious. Because just saying, I want to work with the subconscious doesn't do anything. We're still like on a very conscious level trying to understand like this whole other pile. So that's like really... Pete "mental Health Champ": Mm-hmm. Yeah. Christine Peine: is really some learning involved to get to that stage to be like, okay, I wanna work on my blocks that I have in there and I need to do something different that I'm doing now. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah, breaking the patterns like you were saying, there's a lot of patterns, you know, and a lot of times that's how it works for lot of people. There was another guest we talked about patterns as well, where he was like, you know, your dating life, for example, is the same thing. Like you tend to gravitate to the same people and you don't notice the pattern, the same individuals you pick up, good or bad, you're still going to the same people. But, you know, if you don't break that cycle, you're going to continue to fall in the same, well, woe is me situation instead of changing something that's making, make change something different to make change up the pattern a bit. to make it make more sense. But yeah, the subconscious is such a fun place because we've had a few hypnotherapists come on. Craig Medwether was one of them, actually. were talking to him and I were discussing, and he was talking about what if you push past the subconscious and you go to pre-birth in that little mysterious area too. So you have to be very careful when you get in there because if you go too far, then you're going to almost what people call a spiritual level, which me and another guest actually explored. Christine Peine: Mm. Pete "mental Health Champ": You know, and it was, it was interesting because, you know, then you get into like past lives and things like that too. But, you know, the subconscious is so unexplored, but I think a lot of people are starting to realize it now with, with more hypnotherapists coming out, more people being accepting of hypnotherapy, they're getting into that subconscious space, which is interesting because, you know, that's the space that you're in right now that you work in. Christine Peine: Yes, definitely. And hypnotherapy definitely has its place. I also know some hypnotherapists. What I experienced for myself personally is I tried hypnotherapy as well and it didn't work for me. And what I know now, like looking at the science, there is a certain part of the population for which hypnotherapy works very well and then it's like very fast and very easy to shift these patterns. And then there's another part of the population for Pete "mental Health Champ": Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: whom it just doesn't work so well. It's just not their tool. Like any tool, we need to find the right tool for the right person. So I think this is also interesting to notice that once we start to go into the space of the subconscious to actually find the tools that work for you personally, to shift these patterns and not like start at one thing and then say, this didn't work for me. So subconscious work doesn't work for me. So I'm just going to repeat the pattern and hope. that one day maybe it fixes itself. That's not gonna work. And then one other thing you tapped on, which I find interesting, because I also see this in the work with my clients, is once you go back before pre-birth, and actually I see this with a lot of the people I work with, yes, we have beliefs that come from our ancestors, from seven generations in the past. Pete "mental Health Champ": Right. Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: And it makes sense because just the first level you think about it while you're in your mother's womb, everything your mother is thinking, everything that happens around her, the baby is picking up. So while you're in there, while you're not even born yet, all of the stuff that's experienced gets stored in you, gets stored in your subconscious. And then think about it, your mother has certain belief structures and has certain things that she has taken on from her mother. Pete "mental Health Champ": Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: And so it goes back and back and back and you could have certain beliefs sitting in your subconscious that go back five generations in the past that no one has shifted in this line because they didn't know how to they were probably not aware of that's impacting you today that creates this pattern of of dating for example that you're experiencing today where you're always drawn to the same shitty person. Pete "mental Health Champ": Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah, that's a good point of saying it. Yep, definitely. Definitely. So let me ask you though, is there a risk for playing around in the subconscious? Because you know, when you get in there, it's not for everybody. Obviously, make sure you check your sources of who's going into your subconscious because you could do damage, could you not, Christine? Christine Peine: You could, yes. mean, if you get to the wrong practitioner, I think, I mean, I haven't heard of anyone yet, but theoretically speaking, yes, you need to know what you're doing because the subconscious is your instrument for survival. So whatever you're going to pull out in terms of beliefs or what you install in there in terms of beliefs, you need to be very careful that you're not installing stuff into your subconscious that in the end drives you into direction that you don't want to go. You also need to be very careful that certain beliefs that you have, let's stay with this example of finding someone shitty for dating. There are certain beliefs in your subconscious that make you believe this is the safe person, this is the right person to go to, or this specific type of person. So when you just pull out these beliefs without preparing these beliefs first, without seeing what are actually the benefits, how these beliefs serve you in a certain way, it could actually create a problem, like a side effect, like collapse in your identity. Because every belief that you're holding onto, your subconscious has a reason for holding onto that belief. Your subconscious benefits in a certain way from holding onto that belief. So need to understand all of these reasons beforehand, release them before you actually can safely release a belief without... Pete "mental Health Champ": Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: having a negative effect on the person's life. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah, yeah, no, I get that. So Christine, let me ask you this though. In the beginning, when you got into this space, did people look at you kind of weird when you're trying to explain them what you do? Like, well, I've gone in your subconscious. Like, what is that? You know, I'm sure that's the number one question that came up a lot of people like, what is that when you're subconscious? What is that? And then you start breaking it down from there. Like, wait, what is you just telling me? You know, I mean, I can assume people probably look at you a little weird going, what the heck is she talking about? Christine Peine: There's a types of people and it still happens to me today. There's the type of person that's like, what? they don't even say anything. I see it in their eyes. They're like, what is she talking about? And then I break it down to like, their level of understanding. And then there's the other type of person that's like, the subconscious. Yes, I heard about it. Like, tell me more. They already like have a basic understanding of it. And then like there's a different level of interest. So yes, I feel like the world is divided into these two types of people. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah. Did you get a lot of pushback in the beginning of starting getting in that space because like with it being very unknown You know for just what if for people's most acknowledged to probably hypnotherapy at most They don't realize that there's a whole nother side that what you're doing is different than Hypnotherapy, did you have to explain that to a lot of people like listen? I get you understand hypnotherapy, but we're not hypnotherapists. We're on the other side of this coin Christine Peine: Yes, no, definitely. And this still happens until today. There is a certain level of explanation depending on where the person is at. And even if someone has understood, has a basic understanding of their subconscious, we are so conditioned and taught that things have to take a very long time. Like just take affirmations. We need to repeat the affirmations for 21 days. So I think now even it says like three months or six months and keep on doing that again and again and again. You have to go to therapy for the next five years, 10 years to resolve an issue. So people are always kind of like coming from that perspective. And then if they tell them, actually in a session, we will change many beliefs and we will use your body to verify that the belief changed. And it doesn't matter if this belief comes from your childhood when you were in your mother's womb or from the fifth generation, grandma in the past. It can be changed very fast. People are usually like, okay, I don't know if I can believe you. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah, yeah, because you're telling Christine Peine: And that's fine. Pete "mental Health Champ": them a lot of things they're not sure about. we just talked about, a lot of people don't even know because you get that 50-50. Somebody could be on the other side like, I don't know if I understand this completely, but OK. And it's hard when people don't really understand. So it's a lot of education required on your guys' part to educate people like, hey, listen, this is what we do. I need you to understand what we're about to undergo here. We're about to change a lot of things about your personal beliefs and things. And we're going deep in your mind to, you know. do these things, you know, and it takes a lot of work to get there. So, you know, what kind of training did you have to do to get to that point? Christine Peine: Well, a lot. But generally, just school wise, I studied health, I studied art therapy for some time, I studied coaching, I did like the certifications that were required, but none of them brought me to the steep level of understanding. Then life school, like literally learning by myself. And then I found this marvelous technique that's called Theta Healing. Pete "mental Health Champ": Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: where you learn to connect to the theta brainwave state, which is the brainwave state of the subconscious. And in this brainwave state, it's very easy and very fast to shift things. But you need to be connected to that state. It's not happening from the conscious mind. So I did a lot of training in depth and I realized that that is actually still what I use today because it's the fastest and easiest tool that I have found so far to go into someone's subconscious with their permission, of course. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah. Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: and change whatever needs to be changed. That's a whole other discussion and a whole other really important topic. Also when you're working with anyone doing any changes in your subconscious, change cannot happen without you giving the permission. So even if you're sitting there with a practitioner and they are trying to do something, if you're not giving them your permission, Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah. Christine Peine: With feather healing, cannot make any change. Like I could sit here with you and I could try to do everything in my power. If you're not saying, yes, I want this change to happen, nothing's gonna happen. So that's always the prerequisite for anything. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah, yeah, now, see, that was gonna be my next question to you is like, like, what's it like when you guys intake people, do you guys go over like discussing things that they want to change? And I'm sure it's a thorough process before you guys even get into it, because you're trying to figure out what exactly it is that that you're trying to change in the things that the patterns they have and things like it's got to be extensive amount of testing in the beginning process for for you taking on new people, correct? Christine Peine: Yes, what I usually do with one-on-one clients is we do an assessment, which takes about two, two and a half hours to really figure out what are the struggles, the problems in someone's life and how their subconscious works and basically create like a basic map of their subconscious to see where we're going to go. And then from there, it's also a lot easier to develop the level of treatment, the level of time that we need to shift all of these things. Pete "mental Health Champ": Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: And then even in each individual session, while we get into changing different things for each belief change. So if we find the belief, for example, I'm not good enough and we want to change it to I'm good enough for each belief, we still going to ask for the permission because even for each belief, you can't change anything without having the permission of the other person. So even if we find something that the person is like, I don't know, like, I don't think I want to have this changed yet. I'm not ready to make that change in my identity. Pete "mental Health Champ": Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: then we can't do that. We leave that out, we go to another topic and we create change in these areas. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah, yeah, I do. I do like the fact that you have to establish trust. You're not just going in there doing whatever because I'm sure that's a lot of people's concerns like, well, Christine's just going to go in there and start changing. No, no, hold up now. Hold up now. I think it's great. All the information you're giving right now for people to understand better understand what is you guys do. And the fact that you have to ask their permission, I think is a lot of it's a lot of it's a lot of you know, what is a relief for a lot of people, you know, because they're like, well, they're just not going to go in and start reprogramming because that's what everybody's first thought is, they're just going to go reprogramming. No, no, no. See, that's not what Christine is telling you. She's saying she has to have your permission and this has to be a mutual agreement of something being changed, which I think is really interesting because, you know, that that's usually people's first fear is probably you probably heard that a lot. Oh, well, you're just going to go in there reprogram us like we're robots. Yeah, that's not how this works, though. You know, because the Internet has to be the biggest fight against everything because you can Google everything. But it's like, what information are you looking at out there nowadays? You know what mean? Like you get these people come in. Well, I did some research and it's, God, here we go. You're like, here we are, you know, because you don't know what they've been looking at or what they, I saw this on TikTok. You're like, all right, here we go. You know, like you're just in your mind thinking, man, all right, here we go. Let's see what this is, you know, because everybody's like, well, I Google everything. I'm like, okay, just because you Google it doesn't mean it's right. You know, like you don't know what information you're looking at. Like you can understand a little bit of the process, but you have somebody in front of you that's taking the time to learn these things. And you understand there's, there's got to be a trust, you know. Christine Peine: Yeah. Pete "mental Health Champ": And obviously multiple sessions, as you're saying, is the reason you multiple sessions is because you guys do it little by little. You don't want to change too much at once. Is there reason why it takes multiple sessions? Christine Peine: But it depends on the person. the reason for that it's multiple sessions is that we don't have just one belief that creates an issue. That would be really easy. If we would just have to find one belief, an issue... Pete "mental Health Champ": Okay. Okay. Alright. Wait, you're not selling me the miracle care in two minutes? Come on, damn it. I can't do this anymore. Christine Peine: I wish I could tell you, but no, I haven't figured that one out yet. No, usually an issue could have like 50, 300, thousand beliefs underneath it. So we need the time to reprogram all of these beliefs into something that's more serving for the person in order to release whether this is a health issue or their relationship issue or growth block, whatever it is that they come in with or anxiety. I have a lot of clients that come in with anxiety. So it really depends on how. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Christine Peine: how much this has already gotten into their subconscious and how many beliefs it stands. And then it's interesting because there's people for whom you can go really fast. Like first session, you can go to like really, really deep blocks that are creating their identity and it's fine. And then there's other people you need to go slowly and it takes like three or four sessions to like really prepare. And then you can go like really fast and change a lot of beliefs in one session. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah. Yeah, I like that though. I like that. I like that explanation for it because it makes sense. And because you know, people are going to be like, well, it didn't happen right away because you know, you'll get those people as well. Well, you didn't fix it right away. Well, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Everybody's different. Some people go faster than others. You know, some people takes a few sessions to get you prepared for these things. And I love that, though. I think that's that's a great explanation that you're not you're not hammering home. well, I could fix it in the first session. Not a problem. You know, you're explaining to people, listen, everybody's different. you know, hold up now, let's, let's relax here a minute, you know, because everybody wants to quick now we're in the, we want to fix now fix my problems in 10 minutes type thing. And it's just not how it works, you know, is, and then so my, my follow up question to that is though, there, is there work in between or people have to do like, like you go in, you get them started, you start working on working in the pattern. Is there any like, like in between homework they have to do like some others like exercises they can do to help strengthen it or anything like that. Christine Peine: Again, also depends on the person. There are some people for whom it is enough to change their beliefs because, as I said in the beginning, the subconscious runs 90 to 95 % of our thoughts, emotions, decisions and actions. So for some people, we change that and they automatically adapt their behavior. They adapt this autopilot on which they're running their lives and they don't need any exercises in between. Then there's other people that... Pete "mental Health Champ": Okay? Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: Even though the reprogramming has worked successfully, they're so in their head in their logical mind that they're like, this couldn't have worked so fast, this can't work. And then they're starting with their conscious mind to talk themselves out of the thing. For these people, I like to give some conscious exercises in between to really integrate that information so that their conscious logical mind can also pick up on the changes that have happened in their subconscious. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah. So what kind of exercises? Just kind of give us an example. I'm kind of curious myself. Christine Peine: It also depends on the person. One of the first exercises I always like to give, which is really like an exercise to help them to prepare and step back from that friction, from what the subconscious does, makes us create, is understanding that we're not our subconscious. We're not our beliefs, we're not our patterns. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah, of course. Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: and stepping back from that and taking a space back from that. And the easiest exercise to do that that I have found is you close your eyes. I mean, we can do this together now. We close our eyes. We take a deep breath, just inhaling through the nose, exhaling through the mouth. And then you say, and you can do this in your mind, you say, I am. And you don't add your name afterwards, your nationality, you add nothing to it. You just feel into the space behind the I am and just see if there's a space or if there's a silence or whatever comes up in that space. So let's just gonna say that in our mind. I am. And then let's just do that one more time. And one last time. I am... And then you can take a deep breath. exhaling. opened your eyes. What did you feel or experience after that I am? Pete "mental Health Champ": I don't really get anything when I said I am. just nothing really came to mind right away, which is interesting because, you know, sometimes, you you would think you're anticipating something to come forth though, which is interesting. I love doing these things, kind of things like these little exercises while we're interviewing with people because it's fun to see what kind of things come up for myself because everybody's different. Like we've been discussing, you know. So for me, was just like it was like this is Christine Peine: Mm-hmm. Pete "mental Health Champ": This is really cool. like this. So yeah, I really really nothing really came to mind right at the bed. that normal though for me? Well, obviously it's different results for each person obviously. Christine Peine: Yeah, the point is that nothing comes up. Because in the space, so actually perfect, so in the space that you have behind this I am and if you're not trying to put anything and you feel like this space where there's nothing, this is the biggest or like the fastest connection you can have to your true self. This is where you let go of all of like this, these beliefs, where you let go of all of this talk and everything in your mind and just connect to your true self. And if you can just take during your day, like a few seconds to connect to your true self, you're kind of stepping away from all of this chitter chatter, you're stepping away from all of these beliefs and you're running on a more calm and more regulated state just by doing this one simple exercise. And for some people like you, it's like you do it the first time and nothing comes up. Maybe you feel like a space or you feel like an expanded feeling or like nothing really. Perfect. There's other people. Pete "mental Health Champ": Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: that are more disconnected from themselves. For them, automatically, the chatter starts to happen or they get fear, anxiety. So for these people, it's really starting to practice that because we're then usually often so disconnected from who we truly are that we need to get a little bit of practice again to coming back to us. So this is one of the exercises I give really after session one, after we started to do some Pete "mental Health Champ": Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: reprogramming of the beliefs of the identity underneath to then practice that for some time and every time, do that every time when like the mind starts to chittle-chattle, how this can't work, this shouldn't work, blah blah blah blah blah to interrupt that response. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah, well, that's interesting, though, because you're having them do it in between. sometimes they'll get something. If they don't get something, that means that we're going the right direction. If they're still getting it, that gives you do you have them record what their responses are? Like, hey, listen, did you do you hear anything? Just like you asked me, did you did you hear anything come up or anything like that? Just to see what comes up between sessions like, hey, listen, when you did it, what came up? And as you go into the next session to know what what your next step is, is that is that not the correct process of what you're doing? Christine Peine: Yes, this is one of the ways that we can check the progress. For example, this reminds me of a client that I had that she had anxiety her entire life. So the first time when we did this exercise for her, anxiety came up. Like fear came up, a lot of chatter came up. And then after session four, there was stillness, there was quietness. So this really showed her as well, not only us, like where we're going, but this showed her as well, wow. Pete "mental Health Champ": Okay. Mm. Christine Peine: Like I can actually get to the state where the anxiety is not running my life anymore, where these fears, where all of this stuff doesn't come up anymore. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah. You know, I wonder where I would have been at a year ago when I started this show, actually a year and a half ago when I started this show, because it was different then versus now. I've gone through so many different interviews with different people, learned different things along the way, learned ways to control my anxiety to the point where it doesn't run my life for me. You know, I've learned so many different techniques along the way and stuff like that too. So I think it's very interesting. I'm about to try out with somebody and see what they say. This is the same thing that we just did, just to see what they say, because I'm kind of curious if something pops up in their head. you know, and things like that too, because it'll be interesting to find out what they're thinking, you know. Because I love it though. These are all really cool things I've learned along the way. Like I've learned all these different techniques, I have different tools in place, you know, and these are things I take when I show other people like, hey, listen, I'm going show you something really cool I learned. Let's see what I want to see what your response is and just see what someone's response is to some of these things. Because it's always fun to see, you know, because like you said, everybody's different. And that was the whole identity of the show in the beginning was like, you know, just to prove the fact that, you know, we all have mental disorders or other things. We're all different individuals, you know, and it's different for everybody else. Everybody experiences things differently, like you and I are discussing now, you know, so, but it seems like, you know, you've got it down though. You figured it out. Did it take a lot of trial and running process to figure out the original method of how you were going to do everything? Christine Peine: Yes, I mean, all of this took a long time. the moment I was sick myself and then I healed myself and then realized how I can help other people this... for sure. Like three, four years, yeah. Pete "mental Health Champ": Yeah. I think people don't realize how powerful the mind really is. think that people underestimate it. I feel like a lot of people are stuck in the Western medicine theory of medicine fixes everything, but they don't look at the side effects a lot of those medicines have. I tell people a lot of times, watch drug commercials that come on TV. Anything you're on, doesn't matter what you're watching, okay? Watch what the first one says, then look at the side effects, okay? The next one comes on, tell me that it doesn't tell you it's covering those side effects, but adding more side effects. And it's like, wait, wait, hold on, wait, you're, okay. You fixing this problem, then you're adding more to this. And then this one covers that one. great. You got the medical care for me. Then they don't read it. And then the reason why it's always some side effects, you know, it's like, it always makes you worry when they have to lower it down really low and make that really quiet. But so some things you may experience. I'm like, You know, it's like, you know, what is my favorite ones are the anti-psychotics and things like that. They come on and like, well, you're here voices that aren't there. I'm like, well, that's awesome. That's great. That's some that's a real problem I want to have. You know, like it's like I already have issues. Let's add the fact that, you know, if I'm not hearing voices now, it sure as hell will in a minute after this, it's a possibility, you know. And it was an interesting conversation. got into somebody what's like reading the side effects of these drugs, you know, like read what you're putting in your system. I don't feel that people advocate. Christine Peine: Yeah. Pete "mental Health Champ": And look at it like, you know, I'm more gravitating towards more Eastern. Like I was a Western guy for the longest time, take a pill, fix these problems. Me, I'm more now going Eastern side of things because now I've learned so many other things, energy principles and these things like that. You know, I'm going towards more of, know, having myself fix it. Like I meditate almost every morning. I talk to my inner child, which we did this season two, episode two, I met a man named Julian, him and I were talking about talking to my inner child because I was abandoned at 10 years old. So I have abandonment issues a lot of times and it's talking to your inner person. And when I tell people this, Christine, they look at me about really the same way you did when you told me, listen, I do subconscious work. And he's like, wait, what do you do? You know what mean? That look like they're complete puzzles. Like, you'll know. I've known after about 400 of these interviews that you know by now, you can tell, like you were saying, you know who gets it, who doesn't get these conversations based on a few things. The lingo they're using, the look in their eyes, because people don't realize your facial features give way a lot and your body language gives off a lot of cues. You know, and I'm very energy sensitive. So like I'm working on my energy reading abilities. Like I can, I could sense people's energy really well, which is really weird to most people. And they're like, wait a minute. I'm like, think about it. Your body's made of energy. Albert Einstein is the one that said it best. You know, he's the one that even proved the theory that we were made of energy itself. Think about how we run, you know, things like that. I didn't know much about energy healing until maybe halfway through the first season of the show when I was doing these interviews, I met somebody. So I started digging into the principle of it. So like I find venturing into human design, astrological star charts. Like I go every angle thing, because I'm just curious to know these kinds of things. So when we met another woman who talked to us about her subconscious, she was an actual neuroscientist. We talked about negative self-talk and how it's in a different part of your brain and that they discovered that, which I thought was very fascinating because I didn't know about a lot of this stuff until then. I started learning this from everybody else. So, you know, every conversation I get into is so interesting. So when subconscious came up out of your profile, I was like, yeah, I'm excited for this one. because it's an interesting space to be in because people don't realize that when you dig in beyond the forefront of your brain, you get into the subconscious. There's so much more you can control out of there and they don't realize it. And then the pattern conversation came up with another guest. We were talking about just like your patterns and breaking the patterns. The fact that you're combining all these things together is very interesting because you clearly spent the time to put the work into these things. I love it. I love it. I love the fact you're very knowledgeable at your topic because when I meet a lot of people, I talked to them about all of these things. Like they always ask that same question. Like they're very skeptic. I'm like, listen, I'm telling you, you got to meet this person. They know stuff. They know what they're talking about, you know, and it's great to have somebody like yourself that's going into this space, but you spent the time to really figure it out though. Like you didn't just jump in and like, Hey, listen, I'm Billy Mays in here over in the Europeans, you know, Billy Mays. I'm here trying to sell things to you. Like Billy Mays is our big guy here in the States that would always sell you something 2 a.m. Hey, I'm Billy Mays. Whatever As Seen in TV product it was he had that morning, know, that's not the vibe you give off, you know, and I love it though. I love your authenticity. The fact that you're speaking from your own experience, I guarantee is what draws a lot of people to you is because like, listen, I went through this myself. This is what worked for me, but you're not telling them that you're like, okay, well it may not work for you completely. Things may not be different results for you, but I'm not telling you that I'm going to fix all your problems in one day. It's like, you know, we have to put some work into this thing and you know, and the way it breaks down, it's fantastic, Christina. I love it. I love the fact that you you give off that authentic feel because you know, you're giving them all the facts up front. So with that being said though, we're at the part of the interview where I'm going to ask you two questions. Now, if you've never seen any of these episodes, you have no idea what these two questions are going to be. The first one is actually a fun one I borrowed from a friend of mine who runs a podcast called The Shit That Goes Underhead. She's now actually award winning mental podcast, but the question to her and the question to you is that if your mental health had a song, what would you say that song would be? And you can say any song you want. Christine Peine: Mm-hmm. Yes, there is... I'm very bad with song names and artists. I only know the name of the song. It's called Following the Sun. I don't know the artist's name, but if you Google it, you will see it. Pete "mental Health Champ": Okay. season. Well, you know, that's great, though, because it's interesting because a lot of people when you ask them that question, they're like, they sit there and think about it, you had an automatic answer this one. But it was interesting because it's interesting to hear how people describe what their mental health situation is, you know what mean? You give them where you've been to where you're now, and what you're doing is it's awesome though. Music is a big thing for me. I had few songs that break my mind because I have anxiety, depression, and abandonment issues. So like I had three different songs to break mine down. So it's interesting. So The main question I'm going to ask you now, okay, and this is going to be based on your own personal opinion, that if you could break the stigma about mental health. Now, when I ask you this question, I'm asking you from the aspect of something you hear every day that you just want people to stop believing. What would you say that one thing would be? Christine Peine: that healing and upgrading their mind has to take a very long time. I mean, I know that this is the main belief thread and when I talk to people, everybody tells me, yes, it just has to take time. Yes, you have to go to therapy for two years or 10 years and you have to work on this all of your life. And I'm not saying that you don't have to work on yourself, that you don't want to improve and become better. But I feel like with a lot of these things, we got stuck in a very old way of being where we think it has to take years and years and years. But once you actually work at the root cause, doesn't mean that it can shift overnight, but things can be a lot faster. It's the same with the example that we talked about before with the medications. Yes, you can go to pharma and they give you your medications and it works on the surface level. And maybe if you're lucky these medications by working on the surface level resolve the root problem at one point or maybe you get better at one point. But if instead of taking the medication and working on the surface level, you would go directly to the root cause and just work on that, even if it doesn't fix itself overnight and it takes a little bit, you would heal so much faster over the shorter period of time. And I think really like breaking this belief that everything has to take a really, really, really long time. Personally, that's my that's my opinion. That's something I wish more people would start to believe actually stuff can be really fast. It's like You know how we always like kind of not always but many people they are thinking okay I could fall that like I could drop that tomorrow something bad could to happen in this instant and my whole life will be in shambles So we're like, okay instantly something can be bad, but why can't we believe that? Pete "mental Health Champ": Mm-hmm. Christine Peine: Tomorrow, the best thing could happen to us in the world and instantly things could also be better. So it all really depends also here on our belief systems where we often look at like the everything can get worse instead of like everything can also get better. Like it goes both ways. Pete "mental Health Champ": Exactly. No, I love it. I think it's great. It's great because Yang theory but all is that it could go either way. Honestly, it's just how you look at it from the end of the day. It's a mindset thing too. I thought it was interesting because we did explore mindset as well. That was a fun conversation like how you look at things and you break it down differently. Like I can't drink my I can't drink my drinks normally the same way anymore because of the way now I look at from the mindset aspect of like, you know, feeling it and all the other things like we broke it down so like microscope. And all of the example we used was coffee for that whole thing. And it was great. But Christine, thank you so much for coming to hang out with me today. I really appreciate you taking the time. It was great having you. So before we start wrapping up, though, where can everybody find you? What's the best place if they want to come and have a quick meeting with you, see if maybe this is for them? Where would they go? What's the website to check you out? Christine Peine: The is christinpeine.com, just my name. The best place though, I feel like is come here to my Instagram or come to my LinkedIn and then just start to have a conversation. Just shoot me a message. I'm not here to like sell you something in the first few messages. Just shoot me a message, like let me know where you are at. Let me know like even if you're just finding this interesting, if you want more resources, then I can point you to the right direction because maybe I also know someone that could help you because maybe I'm not the person. or I have a free resource that could help you in that moment. So I feel like that's the best and easiest way to get started. Pete "mental Health Champ": I love it guys guys and I will actually add all her socials in there for you the LinkedIn the Instagram the website all be in description this episode for anybody listening at home and things like that. Christina thank you so much again we're coming to hang out with this I really appreciate being here before we sign off do have any last words any inspirational words for the people out there what do want them all to remind remember them. Christine Peine: Yes, I want two things to remember. I wish everybody would remember that. First one, you are love and light. I really, really truly believe that the core of our being, every single human that is born on this planet is love and light. We forget that along the way because of all our beliefs and traumas and experiences and all of that stuff that happens to us. And we connect to that more than the actual core of who we are. But if you do this exercise that we just did in the show of the I am, close your eyes, say I am. you come back to connecting to that love and light that you are. And once you do that, that's the second thing, anything is possible. Literally, believe once you're living from that core, anything is possible, whatever that is for you, but then anything becomes possible. Pete "mental Health Champ": I love it guys. And with that being said, we're going to wrap up this episode of Peteford's Anxiety. You guys want to find me on Peteford's Anxiety on Spotify, all the way down to Pandora Radio. I'm on X all the down to TikTok. And as always, say it costs nothing, absolutely not to be kind to somebody. One kind act you can do can save someone's life, or hell, you can make their day. I'm Peteford's Anxiety signing off saying, don't ask how your day is today. Say, hey, how's your mental health?
