about. My guests and I we were gonna discuss the obedience of God,

being obedient to God, but I'm still going to be obedient to what He's

called me to do right now, and so I just want to welcome you

guys with prayer, So let's go to God in prayer. Dear Lord,

thank you for bringing us together tonight in this manner. It's been a long

process. I was not able to be with you guys on last week,

but you know why. And I thank you for keeping me strong, keeping

me in my right mind and my right body. I thank you for all

the people who are faithful to tuning in to believe in the Journey podcasts,

keeping me uplifted in prayer as I go through this transitional phase with my mom.

I honor you, I thank you, and thank you for having me

here tonight. In your percious name Jesus, I pray as you guys know,

it has been a trying a couple of weeks with my mom, who
3:45
is currently in the final stages of her transition in hospice, and it has
3:52
been truly truly a test of my faith, my strength, and my endurance.

And I do not fully understand what God is teaching me in this moment,

but I can only hope that I don't miss the message and I don't
4:06
miss the lesson that He is preparing me for because I know everything that I
4:11
am in doing right now is going to get me to where he's trying to
4:16
take me, and I just want to make sure that I'm being obedient and
4:19
what he's calling me to do throughout this process with my mom. I can
4:25
honestly tell you guys that this has been one of the hardest things that I've
4:29
ever had to do in my life, because it is mentally trying, is
4:35
physically trying. But the memories and the conversations that I've had with my mom
4:43
over the past few months and mostly these past few weeks have been very,
4:47
very fulfilling, very comforting, and knowing that she did the best that she
4:55
could with all of us. She has managed to show me what true strength
5:03
looks like from even a hospital bed. And I can honestly say that I
5:13
know where I get my hard headed this from. I know where I get
5:16
my stubbornness from. I have seen it firsthand, so I kind of know
5:21
why my children fust so much at me when they worry about me not sitting
5:27
down and me not taking it easy. So if you got somebody that loves
5:31
you that much, pay attention to him and listen to him and understand that
5:40
you can do right and you can do wrong. But as long as you
5:44
keep God included, he'll never leave you, and nor will he ever forsake
5:47
you for anything. So I'm kind of at a loss for words due to
5:58
this, because it's been trying. It's been hard to watch the woman who

gave birth to me be in a space of helplessness. And she's very,
6:11
very stubborn to the point to where she still feels that she can do everything
6:17
on her own with no assistance. And it's funny to watch her in the
6:26
sense of I can still do it myself, Whereas she told me as I
6:31
was a young little girl, only a year old, that when she came
6:36
to feed me, that I told her that I can do it myself.

So now these roles have reversed. I'm not gonna dwell too much on that,

because after a while, I'll start crying because I'll start to think about
6:47
everything that me and my mom have conversated about, conversed about over these last
6:53
couple of weeks, in these last couple of days, and I don't want
6:57
to be on here crying like a big baby. So what I'm going to

do right now is I'm going to introduce my big sister, my mentor miss

ask you this, because you have always extended a level of grace and kindness,

and you never have ever left anybody behind and anything that you've ever done,

why have you always felt the need to bring others along with you?

Wow? So and it hasn't always been like that. There was a point

in my life where I did not care about nobody else and how nobody else

was doing whatever. But God gave me a second chance and May of twenty

fourteen I almost lost my life. And I promised myself that everything that other

people would not do for me, but I was gonna do it for other
8:31
people. And every time somebody extends a hand to me, I was going
8:39
to extend it to somebody else and beyond. So anytime anybody invite me to
8:46
be a part of their platforms, they know that I don't come by myself.

I always acts if there's room for someone else. I'm always sharing whatever,

And everybody knows that I had the opportunity to be interviewed on a podcast

in the UK last year, and the young ladies were looking for she was

looking for some more individuals, and I said, well, I probably could

book your whole um the rest of your year if you want me to,

and she graciously pleased me, she allowed me to do it. I actually

booked her rest of her shows. Um. I just sent people her way

and ended up being enough people to cover the rest of her season. Um,

that's just what I do. You know, I truly believe that this

journey that I'm on, I didn't get sent here to do it by myself.

You know, we oftentimes think that we have to do the stuff by

ourselves, and I oftentimes hear people saying that I'm gonna move in silence.

I want to move in silence. I'm gonna do this in silence. Well,

you wouldn't have to move in silence if you had people that were supportive

and that we're truly a team player. No, we are to be helpmates,

one to another. That is that is our purpose. You know,

he he didn't place us here to be by ourselves. You know, we

are one body, but we are many people to make up that one body.

So know that it were not just here by ourselves. And just like

our body got different parts, just it took every part of our body to

make us, to make us who we are, every part of us functioning

together, coming together. So just how our body functions, that's how we

society is supposed to function. Like I tell people all the time, Trevida

May she may be good at at making flyers, making flers, but I've

been good at making videos. Right where I'm strong at, then I should

be willing to, Hey, put that on the table. If we're all

putting on the table the things that we're stronger, then the areas where we're

we get somebody else can hold us up in the area where we we get.

Very true, it's always the thing where I think that God, um,

he looks for people who are in the business of service, because that

was what he was here for. He was in the space of being of

service to those around him. And if you're not in the space of being

of service, you're not going to be able to reap all the benefits and

the blessings that God has for you because you want to be selfish and what

He wants to do in your life. Like we're all a part of um

a journey. You say, my, let's see if her audio is gonna

a minister of twenty four Scars of Encouragement and also and oh let me tell

you a little bit about twenty four stars. So twenty four stars, it's

a ministry is to uplift and encourage everyone. And also I do perform marriages

and do pre marriagal counseling and also counseling for men, women and children as

well. Well. Listen for you, I honestly can say that everything,

even in your biome that you sent to me. Just reading that, I
14:15
know that you've been completely obedient to everything that God has caused you to do.

Now, were there a point in all of that that you were just
14:24
trying to distance yourself from that and not just go full force in it because
14:30
you didn't quite understand what he was calling you to do. I did at
14:33
that point. Yes, yes, it has been a point with that.

And he was like directing me and just like here, do this and get
14:43
this. And then I get the doing it and going away with it,

and then I'll be like, didn't get frustrated, just like to get it.

I don't know what you meant it. And God always like, okay,

let me let her take a moment, and then he come back with

it to hell me, look, this is what you do. So it's

like an increments so and and I just have to follow him and just calm

myself and be patient because I get excited he's talking to me. Anytime God

directs our path, we get overly excited and we want to take it and

run with it immediately. And sometimes we try to go a little faster than

what he's wanting us to go, and he'll tell us, Okay, look

here, now I need you to slow it down, because yes, you
15:33
want the right cap, but you want a little too fast. So and
15:39
didn't know me, he'd be like, okay, a little bit because she's
15:43
just like going overboard with it. And then I get the ideas and then
15:46
all of a sudden he kind of sees it a little bit, like that's
15:50
not what I wanted to do. Now, when you begin, um the
15:56
twenty four Scarves of encouragement, what led you to coming up with that name

and actually just starting altogether? What was the first thing that you did with

it? Actually in twenty fifteen, he gave me that name, okay,
16:15
and he was like, it's gonna be twenty four stars, and he gave
16:19
me a vision. And so in that vision, I had the vision.

I was sleeping and he just gave me a full vision. I can still

remember it right today. And so he didn't say when it was gonna happen.

He never gives that much. I like forget about it, like okay,

but it stayed on my mind, like I need to do twenty four
16:41
scars, and so I kind of ignored it. And God just kept on
16:45
giving it to me. What about twenty four scars? What about twenty four
16:48
stars? Not just like huh. I had other businesses and they had different
16:53
names, and I never used twenty four stars. So I was like,

I don't really know what to do with that, you know. So I

was like, God, you don't have to guide me, lead me into
17:06
what I need to do with twenty four scars? What is it? And

so he just I guess I had to graduate? Okay, So I had
17:15
to graduate. He gave me that name first, and I had to graduate
17:18
and and perform everything that he had me to do before I can actually come
17:23
out with it. And so two years ago, then came out with it,

and I was like okay. It was really heavy on my heart and

I was like okay. I was like, okay, God, I gotta

I gotta get to twenty four scars. I know you gave it to me
17:37
back in twenty fifteen. I know I was hard head, I was being
17:40
disobedient, but I'm opedient. Now let me let me the guy can lead
17:42
me into what I need to do. And so he gave me that.

And it's still building because even though I have the encouragement it's alne a platform

for me to get engage with a lot of different people with mental health,

with having trouble with taking care of their elderly. It's just a it's just
18:11
a merge of everyone, and I just want to help the homeless. So

it's pretty much gonna be an organization of helping people, okay, you know.

And then he led me into the transportation business. And I know all
18:26
of it is leading to because I take care of my mom and my brother
18:32
and they're both disabled, and so I know, it's like really frustrating.

And I guess he was like, Okay, he already knew this was common
18:41
and you know, and he was like, Okay, let me let her
18:44
build around what she's doing now, you know. So it'll make it easier
18:48
for me than for other people. And so and I agree with that because
18:53
most of the time we don't understand that each and every step that God eat

everything is connected to the journey and our purpose, which is part of the
19:03
reason why I name this podcast Believing the Journey, because everything is connected to
19:10
the purpose in which we've been created. And you just got to take the
19:15
time to actually look back over everything that you've been through and you'll figure out
19:21
why it's connected to where you're going, because if you pay attention, you've
19:26
been placed in all of those situations for your next step. So I think
19:34
that's I mean, he was like preparing me for this whole thing, and
19:40
I had no idea because I'm it's all about me, and he go quickly
19:49
tell you it ain't all about you. I'm putting you in these spaces.

I'm putting you in this stuff and all of these things for a particular rea,

in a particular purpose, and you need to stay focused on what I'm

telling you to do. Yeah, I might let you straight a little bit,

but you're gonna get right on back on over here, because that's what

I'm trying to get you. You always leave me right on back to where

I began. And I'm be like, wait a bit, I'm gonna can

I just live for me for a little bit. And then it came to
20:19
me, you are living for you, but you're you're you're helping someone else

along the way. And I was like, yeah, man, and and
20:27
I just take it with a long run. So it's like, God,

don't be God, and I gotta do what he say do or it's gonna
20:37
be consequences, yeah, most definitely. Yeah, And so I decided to

gohead on it, just leave it because I know it's begger than me and
20:45
where it's going, because it's it's not only to help me take care of
20:51
my mom and my brother. It's developing something to help other families that that
20:56
has gone through what I have been through and I feel going through, because

I mean, it's frustrating when you take care of two people, take care
21:07
and you know they're disabled and they you can't they can't do like they used
21:11
to do. So now you're like they're like kids all over again, you
21:18
know. And it's like I raised my two kids because I just like I
21:22
spent all of my adult life raising kids. So it's like now I'm raising
21:26
two other kids. That's all. God was like, just calm. He
21:33
just always just tell me everything is gonna be all right, and that's all
21:38
I hear. And I just have to accept that and just know that God
21:42
is with me like he has always been, and know to trust him.

You know, it's all about obedience, just knowing to trust him. Let
21:52
me let me tell your story. I'm sorry you got but little story,

and then look back in it was twenty four was twenty fourteen? Yeah,

it was twenty fourteen at that time, okay. And I was just so

discombobulated about a whole lot of stuff and I was just old wham and I
22:18
just like and then I was having issues with like family and just a lot
22:25
of emotional things going on, and so I was just I just broke down
22:30
and just started crying. And I was like, what is wrong with this
22:34
feature? What is going on? And I just cried, like uncontrollably,
22:41
just crying, and I was like, why don't nobody loved me? Why
22:45
don't they love me? And so I'm just crying out and then God came
22:51
to me and he was like, Dion, he was like I loved you
22:55
and me, I'm like a hardheaded child. He knows me. And I
23:02
was like, I was like, how did you love me? You're not
23:04
human, You're not here physically, you know. And I was just like
23:08
He's like, damn, I love you. And I was like, you
23:11
don't love me. Nobody loves me. So I'm just going on and tho
23:15
I get God was like shook his head, like what is roll with the
23:18
show? I was in my feelings. I was like really really hurt.

Yeah, I'm just a crying. And then he was like, everything is
23:26
gonna be okay. And that was the first everything was gonna be okay and
23:32
that, and so I was just still crying. It didn't matter what he
23:36
was telling me. I was still cry because I was in my feelings.

I guess God was like, let me just let me just lay her down,
23:47
because all of a sudden he was like, he was like, it
23:51
came to me, like, go lay down, and and I just went
23:56
over and I sat on the bed, being obedient. That was the time

I was being obedient. I was obedient. And then I came and I
24:03
sat on the bed and I could feel the presence of him rubbing the top
24:08
of my head, and all of a sudden he was like telling me.

He was like and he was like, and it came to me like lay
24:18
down. And when I began, and I was like, I don't want
24:22
to lay down, and he was like the girl they saying. You know,
24:27
I felt myself like kind of ling, kind of lifting up to later
24:33
and before I knew it, I still felt the presence of him rubbing my
24:37
head, like he was close like rubbing. I felt that that you know,
24:44
yeah that, and all I know. I went to sleep just like
24:48
that. Yeah. When I woke up, it was I was acting like
24:52
as if nothing Yea, I was so jolly. I was just full of
24:59
joy. Like it's amazing how God works in those moments, because he will,
25:06
definitely, because I've been in those spaces and had those moments myself where
25:11
it's like, Okay, oh my god, I'm overwhelmed, I don't know
25:14
what to do, nobody's listening to me, I don't feel like I'm being
25:17
hurt, and He's like, Okay, I got you. Just relax,
25:21
go sit down, relax and be still, and I promise you everything will
25:26
be okay. And when you go from crying uncontrollably and then all of a
25:33
sudden there's a calmness and a stillness there, you know that God is in
25:37
that space and in that presence with you and letting you know that what he
25:41
said is true. Everything is gonna be all right. Just be patient and
25:45
trust his process, because he's not gonna take you in a space where he
25:49
hasn't already gone before. So we just have to stop being stubborn, stop
25:55
being hard headed, and be obedient to what he's saying in that moment,

but he knows the children that he created, and sometimes we've got to give
26:04
us that little kick in the butt to say, okay, now, I
26:07
already don't talk you what to do. Now, don't do what I say?

Yes, yes, Because he would be like, Lord, that's why

I gave you to your mama's because I needed a break, like I needed
26:30
a break. You will challing my nerves up, child, because I know
26:34
for me, I know he'd be like, I entree to not today,

I'm not doing this with you. Don't somewhere am I can't. I can't
26:45
with you today. Be like Lord, but I'm trying. Don't. Don't

do me like that. I don't get it together. You know. But

you are truly, truly in the service space because everything you do is connected

to being of service and in God's space and his atmosphere. That is what

he is about. He wants to see how you are able to serve others

because the more you serve others, the more he begins to build upon the

blessings that He already has in store for you and so and because because He's

still allowing me to use that name, so not only I have the ministry

part in the twenty four Stars have the transportation business and twenty four Stars Reliable

Care Transportation. Yes, still building that name. So I was like,

I know that name is awesome. And you know the twenty four Stars is
27:47
like priestood. Oh yes, so it's like poo, So he's not done

with me yet. Oh no, ma'am. I mean it's still a lot

to go. Nobody's complete. Yeah, you complete that it's leads Earth exactly

to do it exactly. I think all of us have a purpose and a

mention. And I can honestly say that when like everything that I've done over

the last two three years now, when I started my um my group,

Wings of Transformation, I never thought that Wings of Transformation was going to lead

to a publishing company. Yes, I never thought that the tagline that I
28:36
put with Wings of Transformation, which was Believing the Journey, was going to
28:41
lead to a podcast. But God already knew all of this stuff. And
28:45
so when I looked back at like the logo that I had, I didn't
28:48
pay it any attention. My very first logo that I had was and it's
28:52
in my Wings of Transformation group and it just says wings of transformation, Believe
28:57
in the Journey. I had no idea of any of this. I'm just

going through what he was telling me to do and the names that he was
29:07
giving me. But everything has been connected. So all of our puzzle pieces

that we think have nothing to do with each other, is all connected to
29:18
our purpose. And so Believe in the Journey is definitely the name that I'm

supposed to have and the name that I'm supposed to be using for what He's
29:29
called me to do. Now, there are moments in times, so why

I'd be like, lord, um, I don't want to talk to you

people. I don't even won't do none of this stuff. My space is
29:40
being in the background helping somebody else, not forefront. Yeah yeah, I'm
29:48
like I can be back there in the back helping everybody. I don't need
29:52
to be up here in the front. I don't need to have no voice,
29:56
I don't need to have none of that. But he always like,
29:59
if you don't get your butt on up there and do what I told you

to do. And I'm like, all right, I'm gonna show up.

But I don't know what I'm gonna be doing, you know, But I

get up and I show up and I made what he wants me to do,

and half the time I don't know the words to say. I don't

know what I'm supposed to do, I don't know the questions I'm supposed to

ask. But I always ask him to guide me in through all of this.

That's just like tonight. I left from being with my mom to make

sure that I was here at front and center, and I debated all week

about it. I was like, God, what do you need me to

do tonight? I said, because I don't want to leave her, and

if I do leave her, I want to make sure that she's with people

that are going to make sure that she's okay while I'm gone. And he

made sure that I had more than enough people there so that I could come
30:56
and do this and then head back over. He guided everything. Even though

we had our little technical difficulties with audio. This show was gonna happen one

way or another. He just wanted to see how patient we was gonna be

exactly. No. Look, that's why I said in the beginning other show,

where I've been, what I've been dealing with over the last couple of weeks,

and then we'll go from there, because everything, even that technical difficulty,

was our dang by what God wanted us to do. And throughout this

whole process, I've been telling God and asking him to make sure that whatever

the lesson is within all of this, that I don't miss it, because

I know that it's all necessary for where He's trying to take me, and

if I miss it helped me to go back and pick it up because things
31:59
are happening and really fast. But I don't want to miss it because I

feel like if I missed something, it was gonna be very, very important
32:07
to where I'm supposed to go. So I'm trying to be as patient as
32:12
I can't, and patience it's definitely not my strong I still struggle in areas

when it comes to patience because I swear, probably about two or three years

ago, the first couple of minutes I'm out, I got something else I
32:27
gotta do. I ain't gonna sit here and wait all day forget that next

time. Yeah, and another thing I would have been like, well,

it wasn't meant for me to talk anyway. God, look here, I'm

a gone back over his I told you I was supposed to be in the

spotlight anyway. See I was right. You was wrong. And see because

that would have been me a year ago. Yep, that would have been

me a year ago. I've been like, see, I was supposed to

be talking to about it to night in the way. I didn't look and

then he had to text me. So we both get out there. He

like, y'all think y'all not gonna be talking, but you are exactly.

He's telling me, Hey, y'all got something fun, both of y'all.

Y'all just gonna be hardheaded, y'all gonna try to do what y'all way.

We're gonna make it happen. I got you, yeah, everything together.

But you know that's how it works because when I was on your show,

it was the same thing on my end. Yes, So I mean this

was our dang to happen anyway, So it was like what I needed to

say on your show. It was like the devil was trying to prevent that

from happening, but he couldn't do it. He just can't. We're not

gonna be defeated because we are God's children. And we walked in the purpose

in which He's created us to do. So he we ain't worried about him,

not at all. He know he can't touch this. We got pound,

not at all. Don't be defeated every time. Be going on somewhere,

getting many time exactly. He was tracked and I was like, okay,

let me boot up this computer, this tablet because I didn't realize my

my battery head went out on the tablet and I was like, man,

I'm out of batteries. It up and I'm surprised it picked up really quickly

because I was like, on nothing. Oh wow, see that's not right

there, that's God. And it picked up really expeedily. I was like,

okay, yes, I see that was did God said he was gonna

make it half regardless. But I want to thank you so much for being

here. We're definitely gonna have to do this again, um, because we

have a lot of talk about because you know, our topics go from anywhere.

And when I was coming up with the name of the topic for the

show, I really didn't know anything. And I'm just sitting there making the

flyer and I was like, you know what, missdon is a woman of

obedience? I said, so that's what we're gonna talk about, being obedient

to God. And look what happened is always right there. He gives me

everything that I need in the moment that I needed. And so because I

was up there with my mama and I was like, I got to have

a name, and I had went over some of our conversations that we've had,

and you know, I was like this, this woman is truly obedient
35:47
to what God has called her to do. And she walks in that purpose

and she walks with her head hell high and everything. And you cannot look

for a woman who you and not to just be obedience. That's all she

knows. Look, look he made he makes sure I am. Even when

you try to not be obedient, He's like, come on over him,

Like I said, yeah, the soul tripped out. Look, I can't

even try to be mean because because then if I try to do it,

it's okay if somebody else do it to me, But then when I try
