But first, we need to find it. Let's learn how to ask for directions in the park. Luna: Oh, good. I always get lost in parks. Lucas: Exactly! So let's start with the basic question: ¿Dónde está el parque? Say it with me: ¿Dónde está el parque? Luna: ¿Dónde está el parque? That's 'Where is the park?' right? Lucas: Right! Now, if someone tells you it's near, they'll say: Está cerca de aquí. Está cerca de aquí. Luna: Está cerca de aquí. It's near here. Lucas: Perfect. So if you're looking for a bench in the park, you can ask: ¿Hay un banco? ¿Hay un banco? Luna: ¿Hay un banco? Is there a bench? That's useful. My legs get tired. Lucas: And to give directions, you can say: Sigue recto. Sigue recto. That means 'Go straight.' Luna: Sigue recto. Go straight. Then maybe turn? Lucas: Yes! Está a la derecha. Está a la izquierda. Right and left. Está a la derecha means it's on the right, and Está a la izquierda means on the left. Luna: Está a la derecha. On the right. Está a la izquierda. On the left. I'll try to remember those. Lucas: Let's practice a little scene. Imagine you're in a park and you want to find a bench. Luna: Okay, I'll ask: ¿Hay un banco? Lucas: And I'll answer: Sí, sigue recto y está a la derecha. Luna: So: go straight and it's on the right. Got it. Let me try: Sí, sigue recto y está a la derecha. Lucas: Excellent! You're a natural.
