- 1:47Speaker 2: Now he's got a plan for revitalization and it has
- 1:51Speaker 2: to do with getting people to come back to West
- 1:55Speaker 2: Virginia and also taking some investment chances with some vacant buildings.
- 2:01Speaker 2: It's pretty interesting read and Duke put that out a
- 2:03Speaker 2: couple of weeks ago, and I had a chance to
- 2:05Speaker 2: read this. My contact said, let's go in this a
- 2:07Speaker 2: little bit further. So We're going to talk to Duke
- 2:08Speaker 2: about that. Coming up a little bit later on Knon
- 2:10Speaker 2: County Commissioner Lance Wheeler will stop by. The commission is

- 2:32Speaker 2: zero four nine three five five zero zero waights, Welcome
- 2:35Speaker 2: into the show. Now our good friend Millie Snyder. How
- 2:39Speaker 2: you know a Millie?
- 2:40Speaker 4: I'm doing so well. How are you?
- 2:42Speaker 2: I am doing fine. Thank you for being here.
- 2:45Speaker 5: Chris.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Do you like this weather? Are you a fall winter.
- 2:48Speaker 4: The fall person? I love it? Yeah, and yes, I so.
- 2:52Speaker 4: I didn't like summer. You know, usually I'm a sun worshiper.
- 2:56Speaker 4: I could not stand the heat this summer. Really, it
- 3:00Speaker 4: was just too oppressive.
- 3:01Speaker 2: I wonder what is different about the heat this summer
- 3:03Speaker 2: is supposed to in the past.
- 3:05Speaker 4: I wish I could discuss it where I actually know
- 3:07Speaker 4: what I'm talking about. I got you, but it was
- 3:10Speaker 4: just very it was just too hot to be outside.
- 3:12Speaker 3: See.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I'm a fan of the what I would call the
- 3:15Speaker 2: transition time. I love spring, uh and I love fall.
- 3:20Speaker 2: But in this last couple of weeks, I mean, we
- 3:22Speaker 2: had some rain and whatnot, which we needed, but the uh,
- 3:25Speaker 2: but the colors are absolutely fantastic right now. I think
- 3:30Speaker 2: last weekends, what they said for most areas West Virginia
- 3:32Speaker 2: was the peak time in West Virginia. But getting up
- 3:35Speaker 2: this morning and it was a full moon last night,
- 3:37Speaker 2: and uh, I'm not one that really gets into all
- 3:39Speaker 2: that stuff that much, but I get up this morning
- 3:42Speaker 2: and I look out and it's a full moon and
- 3:44Speaker 2: leaves around the trees, and I love it. I just
- 3:47Speaker 2: love this time. But here now week and half from now,
- 3:50Speaker 2: I'll be over it because it's leaves will start to fall.
- 3:52Speaker 2: And but then we start thinking about Thanksgiving.
- 3:54Speaker 4: So well, I had a wonderful time setting my clocks
- 3:57Speaker 4: back on Saturday. I was just busier than to be
- 3:59Speaker 4: made sure I did it right, right right. I enjoyed that.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I you know, I said this before.
- 4:04Speaker 4: I'm not I'm really not a fan of daylight savings.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Okay, well I think I just don't.
- 4:09Speaker 4: I don't know, I don't need it. I just I
- 4:11Speaker 4: just don't like it. But I do it. I have
- 4:13Speaker 4: to do it if I want to stay in time
- 4:15Speaker 4: with everybody. Yeah, but it's not a favorite. It's not
- 4:18Speaker 4: a favorite exercise.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'll be And it's they're making it easier
- 4:21Speaker 2: and easier now because you know, well, I mean, because
- 4:24Speaker 2: so many of your things, like your phones and things
- 4:26Speaker 2: of that nature update automatically. My wife and I have
- 4:28Speaker 2: two vehicles. I have an older vehicle. Mine is not
- 4:31Speaker 2: update automatically. Hers does so, so we didn't have to
- 4:34Speaker 2: change clocks in her vehicle, but we did in mind.
- 4:37Speaker 2: So I just, I guess and I explained this to
- 4:39Speaker 2: the listeners earlier. MILLI I did morning radio, I mean
- 4:42Speaker 2: really morning radio.
- 4:43Speaker 4: But three o'clock in the morning.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Got up at three a m. For over twenty years. Uh,
- 4:49Speaker 2: and so it was dark when I left the house,
- 4:51Speaker 2: it was dark when I came home, you know, at night.
- 4:53Speaker 2: And I guess that just kind of trained me to say, yeah, whatever.
- 4:56Speaker 4: I just you never even got up when the roosters
- 4:58Speaker 4: got up. You were up before that.
- 4:59Speaker 2: At woke the rooster up. That's why I had to
- 5:02Speaker 2: call the rooster to wake him up. That's part of
- 5:04Speaker 2: morning radio. But Millie Snyder is here and I'm having
- 5:07Speaker 2: you on a little bit earlier than what we normally do.
- 5:10Speaker 2: We have we come on with us once a month
- 5:11Speaker 2: because you got something going on that you wanted to
- 5:14Speaker 2: tell people about, and you mentioned it last time. But
- 5:16Speaker 2: the time is nigh, as they say, and people don't
- 5:19Speaker 2: use the word nigh enough in our daily vocabulary.
- 5:23Speaker 4: But go ahead, well, tomorrow we're having open meetings at
- 5:28Speaker 4: Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. It's sixteen hundred Canall Boulevard at
- 5:33Speaker 4: Elizabeth Street. It's a wonderful location. And why we're having
- 5:38Speaker 4: open meetings is it is my wish to introduce as
- 5:41Speaker 4: many people as possible to this incredible way of eating,
- 5:46Speaker 4: the Mediterranean lifestyle. And by the way, I didn't write it,
- 5:50Speaker 4: but my goodness, I follow it, I live it, and
- 5:53Speaker 4: I love it. And I even said that in the
- 5:56Speaker 4: commercial that's running on your station, because I'm very happy
- 6:01Speaker 4: and proud to say that I just celebrated my eighty
- 6:04Speaker 4: third birthday and most people when age becomes a topic.
- 6:09Speaker 4: No one believes that I'm eighty three. I work and
- 6:13Speaker 4: do stuff and I don't work per se. But I
- 6:16Speaker 4: don't know where my energy comes from. But it has
- 6:19Speaker 4: to do with my quality of eating, and I'm grateful
- 6:24Speaker 4: for that, and I want more and more people to
- 6:27Speaker 4: find out that it's time to stop dieting. It's time
- 6:31Speaker 4: to stop counting calories. And if you're still counting calories,
- 6:35Speaker 4: your math skills have probably improved, but you're not learning
- 6:40Speaker 4: anything in terms of what to eat. And at an
- 6:44Speaker 4: open meeting, we'll tell you everything. We'll give you some information.
- 6:48Speaker 4: The early one is at ten am and the later
- 6:52Speaker 4: one is at five point thirty. There's no charge to
- 6:55Speaker 4: come to an open meeting. If you decide to join,
- 6:59Speaker 4: then there is a fee for joining, and there's a
- 7:01Speaker 4: weekly fee. But I'm happy to say from the beginning,
- 7:04Speaker 4: and I've been teaching Mediterranean now for nine years, the
- 7:08Speaker 4: prices remain the same. It's not about making money. It's
- 7:12Speaker 4: about an outreach to help people help themselves. And when
- 7:16Speaker 4: I can accomplish that, I feel like I've done something
- 7:20Speaker 4: significant because I can't lose anybody's wait for them, as
- 7:24Speaker 4: no one can do that for me. I want to
- 7:27Speaker 4: empower you with the information so that you can order
- 7:32Speaker 4: differently in a restaurant, eat and shop the way you
- 7:36Speaker 4: have to for the betterment of your life. And thank
- 7:40Speaker 4: you for this article. We talked about it when I
- 7:42Speaker 4: was on two weeks ago. Here is a woman who
- 7:45Speaker 4: made it to one hundred and seventeen, and the whole
- 7:48Speaker 4: article is about the fact that and enjoyed good health
- 7:53Speaker 4: up to one hundred and seventeen. That's pretty remarkable. It
- 7:57Speaker 4: is pretty remarkable, and they're going to be There be
- 8:00Speaker 4: so many people who are going to weigh in around
- 8:02Speaker 4: getting to that age. They don't want to, but you know,
- 8:04Speaker 4: that's one thing we don't control. The point of this
- 8:09Speaker 4: is that it strengthens your longevity, and that is strengthened
- 8:14Speaker 4: by a quality of your health. And your equality of
- 8:17Speaker 4: your health is based on what you put in your
- 8:19Speaker 4: mouth and how you eat on a day to day basis.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Talking to Millie Snyder again a Dave Allen Show and
- 8:24Speaker 2: five of Any Life is brought to you parted by
- 8:26Speaker 2: Pinnacle Consultants. The services involved developing comprehensive management plans, downline
- 8:30Speaker 2: strategies for controlling and minimizing as best as exposure perfect
- 8:34Speaker 2: for commercial property owners and managers. Check out Pinnacle Corp
- 8:36Speaker 2: dot net because what you don't know can hurt you.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Now that article, you and I talked about it last
- 8:41Speaker 2: time and I brought it in for you. It was
- 8:43Speaker 2: from the Wall Street Journal from a couple of weeks ago,
- 8:45Speaker 2: and it was about a woman who lived to be
- 8:47Speaker 2: one hundred and seventeen. And what I thought was interesting
- 8:51Speaker 2: about her story, in addition to the fact that she
- 8:54Speaker 2: lived to be one hundred and seventeen, was the fact
- 8:56Speaker 2: that for the last and I forget you've got the
- 8:58Speaker 2: article in front of the Africa, but I was like,
- 8:59Speaker 2: the last twenty or thirty years or so, she had
- 9:02Speaker 2: allowed medical professionals to study her. And you know she's
- 9:08Speaker 2: because they obviously somebody lives to be you know, that
- 9:11Speaker 2: age and in good health up until the last year
- 9:13Speaker 2: of her life. She wanted to help others and she said, well,
- 9:16Speaker 2: and the medical professionals just said, hey, can we study you.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Can we see what it is that you did. Now
- 9:22Speaker 2: that's not to say if you do exactly the same
- 9:24Speaker 2: thing this woman did, that you're going to live to
- 9:27Speaker 2: be that long, because there's a lot of other factors
- 9:30Speaker 2: that don't have to do with eating.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Don't know about her gene pool.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Exactly exactly right, but she because of where she lived,
- 9:38Speaker 2: it would be like I say, we've practiced the American diet, okay,
- 9:41Speaker 2: just because this is where we live. She that's what
- 9:43Speaker 2: that's the way people. It was Spain, right, that's primarily
- 9:45Speaker 2: where she lived was indent.
- 9:47Speaker 4: There are many areas in that part of the world
- 9:50Speaker 4: that lived the blue zone, and the blue zone is
- 9:53Speaker 4: eating clean, fresh food, which is called the Mediterranean lifestyle,
- 9:58Speaker 4: plus socializing and having activity. But also they do not
- 10:03Speaker 4: buy processed food because none of it exists there. They
- 10:07Speaker 4: have to go to the market every couple of days.
- 10:09Speaker 4: They don't have ginormous freezers, refrigerators and so forth, so
- 10:13Speaker 4: they have to get fresh food and that becomes its
- 10:16Speaker 4: own way of life. We can do that here in
- 10:19Speaker 4: our United States. When you go to the supermarket, you
- 10:23Speaker 4: need to stay out of the middle aisles because that's
- 10:25Speaker 4: where all the processed food lives. We need to shop
- 10:28Speaker 4: the perimeter of the supermarket because that's where fresh food is.
- 10:32Speaker 4: And then we need to learn how to read labels.
- 10:35Speaker 4: Our food producers are putting things in our food to
- 10:40Speaker 4: make it live much longer than it was intended to live.
- 10:44Speaker 4: And our body doesn't know how to handle those preservatives,
- 10:49Speaker 4: the chemicals that stretch the life of food, and that
- 10:54Speaker 4: causes health problems. We need to do better for ourselves.
- 10:58Speaker 4: It's not what you know, Dave, it's what you do
- 11:00Speaker 4: with what you know. You know, you know, and I
- 11:03Speaker 4: really believe that, and a little bit of information, and
- 11:08Speaker 4: also coming to a group where you see other people
- 11:10Speaker 4: doing the same thing is very inspiring. And on the
- 11:14Speaker 4: subject of being inspired, and I'll try to make this
- 11:17Speaker 4: as short as possible. I didn't want to join weight Watchers,
- 11:21Speaker 4: and I did because I was forced to join. It
- 11:24Speaker 4: was the best thing I ever did in my life
- 11:27Speaker 4: because it not only helped me lose weight, but it
- 11:30Speaker 4: educated me and so many people know what happened. I
- 11:34Speaker 4: was fortunate to come to West Virginia to make Charleston
- 11:39Speaker 4: my home, and I did weight Watchers in West Virginia
- 11:43Speaker 4: for forty seven years. But in the early years, my
- 11:48Speaker 4: leader at weight Watchers invited my then husband, Harvey, and
- 11:53Speaker 4: I to go to Wilmington, Delaware to hear Gene Knightich speak.
- 11:58Speaker 4: And Gene Knightich was the woman who was the founder
- 12:01Speaker 4: the creator of weight Watchers. And it was in that
- 12:05Speaker 4: auditorium as I sat and listened to her, I was
- 12:09Speaker 4: so awestruck. I knew then that that's what I wanted
- 12:14Speaker 4: to do as my life's mission, and I prayed that
- 12:20Speaker 4: I would be as good as her, and I hope
- 12:23Speaker 4: that I have achieved that goal, because what I really
- 12:29Speaker 4: do is help people help themselves. I like to add
- 12:34Speaker 4: some humor and learning how to laugh at ourself in
- 12:38Speaker 4: a kind and giving way, which allows us to continue.
- 12:43Speaker 4: And so group support makes a big difference. And that's
- 12:47Speaker 4: why we want people to experience not only an open meeting,
- 12:52Speaker 4: but come on board for either a morning or an
- 12:55Speaker 4: evening session. And there are some wonderful people in the group.
- 12:59Speaker 4: Actually they're like everybody else. They're just eating a healthy
- 13:02Speaker 4: way the Mediterranean lifestyle.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Tex says, listen to Millie, stop eating all this junk, sugar, salt,
- 13:09Speaker 2: fried stuff that's out there. I have liver disease. And
- 13:11Speaker 2: they're finding out that most people who are overweight due
- 13:14Speaker 2: because we eat so much junk. Amen, And you didn't
- 13:19Speaker 2: you didn't text that yourself. I'll bet watching it you
- 13:21Speaker 2: didn't text. But all right, give us the details on
- 13:23Speaker 2: the meetings tomorrow again the meetings, and of course open house,
- 13:27Speaker 2: I should say, it's not like open house. What do
- 13:29Speaker 2: you want to call it?
- 13:30Speaker 4: Ten o'clock in the morning and five point thirty in
- 13:33Speaker 4: the evening. Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church right on the boulevard,
- 13:37Speaker 4: Right on the boulevard at Elizabeth Street, easy to find.
- 13:40Speaker 4: They have a wonderful parking lot. It's not going to
- 13:42Speaker 4: be a contest to park the car. And you don't
- 13:45Speaker 4: have to park in Dunbar and then walk over.
- 13:47Speaker 2: And how long will the approximately how long will the
- 13:48Speaker 2: meetings last? In case people are planning their schedules or
- 13:51Speaker 2: they're coming.
- 13:51Speaker 4: From work, probably the actual informational part will be about
- 13:54Speaker 4: thirty forty minutes.
- 13:55Speaker 2: You can't beat that, yeah, I mean, and there's no charge.
- 13:58Speaker 2: And if you walk in and you say, hey, I
- 14:00Speaker 2: don't think this is for me, then no harm, no
- 14:02Speaker 2: fould Thank you.
- 14:03Speaker 4: For coming, and we're going to give you some information.
- 14:05Speaker 4: You can take it home and think about it. If
- 14:08Speaker 4: you don't want to put it into use, that's okay too,
- 14:12Speaker 4: because fortunately we live in a free country and we
- 14:15Speaker 4: can make our own decisions.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Millie, good luck with everything tomorrow. We'll talk to you
- 14:19Speaker 2: again next month. Thanks a lot, Thank you so much
- 14:21Speaker 2: for this opportunity. It is nine twenty one. A simple
- 14:24Speaker 2: thank you can mean the world. This month, w CHS
- 14:27Speaker 2: wants to help you say it loud and clear. Call
- 14:29Speaker 2: three zero four nine three five five zero eight. It's
- 14:32Speaker 2: our normal text line, but we're doing something a little
- 14:34Speaker 2: bit different with that. We want you to call that number,
- 14:36Speaker 2: leave a voicemail for a veteran who's made a difference
- 14:39Speaker 2: in your life, or send us an email about it
- 14:41Speaker 2: to WCCHS network dot com. We're going to share those
- 14:44Speaker 2: messages almost long during our Salute to Veterans, proudly presented
- 14:47Speaker 2: by the Voice of Charleston, WCCHS and Toyota Motor Manufacturing

- 15:07Speaker 2: like human foods, caused long term damage like kidney and
- 15:09Speaker 2: liver problems. Give me thirty seves.
- 15:11Speaker 4: As a matter of fact, I buy another brand of
- 15:14Speaker 4: food that is natural and doesn't have a lot of
- 15:19Speaker 4: the additives to it. And I would love to have
- 15:22Speaker 4: a conversation with someone so that I could discuss what
- 15:25Speaker 4: I've discussed.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Okay, all right, what's how can people reach you? Facebook?
- 15:32Speaker 6: On Facebook?
- 15:32Speaker 4: It's Mediterranean Mindset. We're on Facebook, and I would love
- 15:36Speaker 4: to have a conversation because listen, our pets are very
- 15:39Speaker 4: very important, and when we give them some additives in
- 15:44Speaker 4: the food, that's not good for them, just like it's
- 15:47Speaker 4: the same as human.

- 18:29Speaker 2: Welcome to the show. Good morning, Dave, thanks for having me,
- 18:31Speaker 2: Thank you for being here. Let's get right to it.
- 18:33Speaker 2: The Commission has gone on record as formally opposing the
- 18:38Speaker 2: proposed rat increase from Mountaineer Gas. Now other lance, other
- 18:42Speaker 2: than the fact that no one likes to pay more
- 18:44Speaker 2: in out of their checkbook and their bills, we get that.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Why the need to go on record to oppose this.
- 18:50Speaker 2: What's the reason?
- 18:51Speaker 8: Well, I think that we're getting a lot of constituents
- 18:53Speaker 8: calling into our office as elected officials, complaining that the
- 18:58Speaker 8: rates continue to go up and up and up, and
- 19:01Speaker 8: they feel that they don't have the proper representation as
- 19:04Speaker 8: a consumer advuracy from the PS that's supporting their position,
- 19:08Speaker 8: and that position is we keep paying and paying and paying,
- 19:11Speaker 8: But why are we keep paying more money in our utilities?
- 19:14Speaker 8: This is something that we can't afford. Our utility rates
- 19:17Speaker 8: are going up, inflation is going up. Things are more
- 19:21Speaker 8: and more expensive. It's time that somebody, and what that
- 19:24Speaker 8: somebody is is the Kennall County Commission is fighting for
- 19:27Speaker 8: the people of the state of West Virginia, not just
- 19:29Speaker 8: Kennall County, but everyone here in the state of West
- 19:32Speaker 8: Virginia and telling the PSC that they need to absolutely
- 19:36Speaker 8: oppose and reject this rate hike from Mountaineer Gas.
- 19:40Speaker 6: What kind of.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Increases are we talking about, dollar wise, percentage wise, whoever
- 19:44Speaker 2: you want to quantify it. I mean, what kind of
- 19:46Speaker 2: rates are we talking about going up here?
- 19:47Speaker 8: Well, Mountaineer Gas has asked the PSC to raise our
- 19:50Speaker 8: rates fifteen to twenty percent more than what you're paying now. Now,
- 19:53Speaker 8: the Knaal County Commission, we look back in the data
- 19:56Speaker 8: and we've noticed that since twenty twenty, Mountaineer Gas has
- 20:00Speaker 8: had a twenty eight percent increase on your bill. So
- 20:03Speaker 8: now we're talking about an extra almost twenty percent on
- 20:06Speaker 8: top of that. This is getting out of hand. Enough
- 20:09Speaker 8: is enough? I think that the voters, the constituents, the
- 20:12Speaker 8: citizens of West Virginia are getting rate hike fatigue, and
- 20:15Speaker 8: we're asking the question, when is enough? I think this
- 20:19Speaker 8: is something that the PSC needs to absolutely oppose and
- 20:22Speaker 8: fight for the people of West Present that they represent
- 20:25Speaker 8: and telling the Mountaineer Gas that you're going to have
- 20:28Speaker 8: to find in your own budget any of these this
- 20:32Speaker 8: difference that you're coming to us because it's we're tired
- 20:35Speaker 8: of putting this on the backs of the citizens of
- 20:37Speaker 8: West Virginia and their utility bills.
- 20:39Speaker 2: And look, you talk about utility rates and we have
- 20:41Speaker 2: the same discussion. We're talking about mounting their gas right now,
- 20:43Speaker 2: but we can just easily be talking about any of
- 20:45Speaker 2: the other utilities as well. I mean, they keep they
- 20:49Speaker 2: keep going up. And look, I understand cost of cost
- 20:54Speaker 2: of doing business. You know, I one hundred percent get that.
- 20:57Speaker 2: I'm a free market capitalist. Everybody knows that about me. However,
- 21:01Speaker 2: when the in many cases, and I'm not specifically picking
- 21:04Speaker 2: on Mountaineer Gas here because this may not apply to them,
- 21:06Speaker 2: but in many cases, when the the rates that are
- 21:08Speaker 2: going up are are so much higher than what many
- 21:13Speaker 2: people like yourself, like other advocacy groups have said that
- 21:17Speaker 2: they should be therein.
- 21:18Speaker 8: Lies the problem, Well, I think we're allows. The problem
- 21:21Speaker 8: right now is the Public Service Commission the PSC. I
- 21:24Speaker 8: think the voters, the citizens of West Virginia have lost
- 21:28Speaker 8: trust in they, you know, supporting and being an advocate
- 21:34Speaker 8: for them when it comes to utility companies asking for
- 21:37Speaker 8: a race. I think that what we need to do
- 21:39Speaker 8: is we need to have the PSC take accountability and
- 21:43Speaker 8: bring that trust back to the people of West Virginia
- 21:46Speaker 8: and ensuring that yes, there are market changes, there are
- 21:48Speaker 8: times where increases are necessary so that we can have
- 21:52Speaker 8: the infrastructure with our utilities, so that we can continue
- 21:55Speaker 8: to build on the energy grid here in in West Virginia.
- 22:00Speaker 8: But we need to do everything we possibly can to
- 22:03Speaker 8: put the trush back in. And that's why I'm actually
- 22:05Speaker 8: asking the state to look at reforming for the Public
- 22:08Speaker 8: Service Commission and looking at how other states are doing
- 22:12Speaker 8: this on regulation. You know, we look at other states
- 22:14Speaker 8: and per capita of their increases and utilities are nowhere
- 22:18Speaker 8: close to the increases that the people of West Virginia
- 22:21Speaker 8: are being affected by. So we need to have real reform.
- 22:24Speaker 8: We need to really look into why these increases are necessary,
- 22:28Speaker 8: and we need to say enough is enough. We need
- 22:31Speaker 8: to have people join the Kanaal County Commission, join my
- 22:33Speaker 8: office and telling the PSC that Mountaineer Gas needs to
- 22:37Speaker 8: be rejected for this new proposal of almost twenty percent
- 22:40Speaker 8: increase on their bills.
- 22:41Speaker 2: And then the formal request, if you will, that you
- 22:44Speaker 2: put out there of the knagh County Commission put out there.
- 22:47Speaker 2: You talked about the profits that have been made.
- 22:49Speaker 8: You know, that's one thing that we need to really
- 22:52Speaker 8: consider is we looked at back, and we've seen that
- 22:55Speaker 8: the from the Public Service Commission that Mountaineer Gas is
- 22:58Speaker 8: seeking a reprooval for forty four million in additional revenue.
- 23:04Speaker 8: But they've had increased profits of up to eleven point
- 23:06Speaker 8: four million in twenty twenty three to fourteen point three
- 23:09Speaker 8: million in twenty twenty four. These are this is data
- 23:12Speaker 8: that has provided publicly that Mountaineer Gas is having an
- 23:16Speaker 8: increase in profits. However, they're coming back to the people
- 23:19Speaker 8: of West Virginia and requesting that they pay more. Why
- 23:23Speaker 8: aren't these questions being publicly discussed. Why aren't the Why
- 23:27Speaker 8: aren't we looking at is this increase necessary for Mountaineer
- 23:32Speaker 8: Gas to continue to operate in their infrastructure or is
- 23:35Speaker 8: this just a way for them to continue to protect
- 23:38Speaker 8: their pockets and looking at how they can continue their revenues.
- 23:42Speaker 8: Why can't Mountaineer Gas from this increase that they're saying
- 23:45Speaker 8: is so necessary. Why can't they foot a little bit
- 23:47Speaker 8: of the bill instead of passing it on to the
- 23:50Speaker 8: citizens of West Virginia. Those are the questions that we're asking.
- 23:53Speaker 8: And again, I think this is coming down to when
- 23:55Speaker 8: I talk to people here in Kannall County in the
- 23:57Speaker 8: state of West Virginia. They've lost the trust in the
- 24:00Speaker 8: PSC and that's why we're asking everyone to join the
- 24:02Speaker 8: Kannak County Commission in opposing this rate hike from Mountaineer Gas.
- 24:07Speaker 8: And by doing so, you can call the West Virginia
- 24:11Speaker 8: Public Service Commission at their phone number three O four
- 24:14Speaker 8: three four zero zero three zero zero and tell them
- 24:18Speaker 8: that you stand with Commissioner Wheeler, Commissioner Slango, and Commissioner
- 24:21Speaker 8: Tenant and that you oppose the rate hike by Mountaineer Gas.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Give us that number again.
- 24:25Speaker 8: That number is three oh four three four zero zero
- 24:28Speaker 8: three zero zero.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Okay, we're talking to Kennaw County commission Or Lance Wheeler.

- 24:53Speaker 2: starts here and I do want to state for the
- 24:55Speaker 2: record from our part that, well, you don't want to
- 24:57Speaker 2: necessarily think that we are, you know, take it on
- 25:00Speaker 2: Mountaineer Gas. If anybody from the from the company would
- 25:04Speaker 2: like to come on this show, They're more than welcome
- 25:05Speaker 2: to come on. I mean I would. I would love
- 25:07Speaker 2: to have them on the show to explain it, to
- 25:09Speaker 2: give their side. And in all fairness, have you had
- 25:11Speaker 2: any conversation directly with the company, You or the other
- 25:14Speaker 2: commissioners had conversation directly with the company.
- 25:17Speaker 8: In the prior years. Yes, And you know, I want
- 25:19Speaker 8: to say that as well. I'm not picking on Mountaineer
- 25:22Speaker 8: Gas there. What I'm picking on is the system that
- 25:25Speaker 8: we have here in Kennall County for an agency to
- 25:29Speaker 8: protect the consumers and ensuring that their bills are not
- 25:34Speaker 8: going up without you know, it's unreasonable from a company.
- 25:39Speaker 8: And I think that we really need to overhaul the
- 25:42Speaker 8: system of how we protect our citizens and making sure
- 25:46Speaker 8: that their bills aren't going up and up and up.
- 25:48Speaker 8: That are unreasonable. So I think that's really what we
- 25:50Speaker 8: need to look at. We need to look at transparency.
- 25:53Speaker 8: We need to have it to where families deserve fairness
- 25:55Speaker 8: transparency from their utility providers and not have another rate
- 25:58Speaker 8: hike with that while companies are reporting profits. I think
- 26:03Speaker 8: this is something that we have to have discussions. We
- 26:05Speaker 8: have to have open discussions, and we really need just
- 26:08Speaker 8: to look at the system and realize how broken it
- 26:11Speaker 8: might be here in West Virginia and compare it to
- 26:13Speaker 8: how other states are doing it, and maybe take on
- 26:15Speaker 8: some of those policies.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I don't want to, as I said, and we'll offer
- 26:19Speaker 2: equal air time for anybody from out in their gas
- 26:21Speaker 2: once come on to talk about it, But I obviously
- 26:23Speaker 2: don't want to sound like I'm a spokesperson for them.
- 26:25Speaker 2: But one when it comes to these utility rate hikes,
- 26:27Speaker 2: no matter what the utility is, one of the things
- 26:29Speaker 2: that you normally hear is the cost of doing business
- 26:31Speaker 2: and infrastructure. We have an aging state from not only
- 26:34Speaker 2: the people, but also from the infrastructure standpoint, and we've
- 26:37Speaker 2: seen numerous breakdowns along the line, and so that's probably
- 26:41Speaker 2: I mean, I'm going to say, that's probably one of
- 26:42Speaker 2: the things that they're going to say, is, look, we
- 26:44Speaker 2: got an aging infrastructure system. Things like your car, your
- 26:48Speaker 2: house or whatever is they get little age on it.
- 26:50Speaker 2: They don't perform like they used to. If that is
- 26:52Speaker 2: their argument, you would say, what, commissioner.
- 26:55Speaker 8: They're reporting profits from twenty twenty three to twenty twenty
- 26:57Speaker 8: four that are increasing. The question that's come down to
- 27:01Speaker 8: is why is it necessary that we take these aging
- 27:04Speaker 8: infrastructure which they've had the responsibility of fixing in the
- 27:07Speaker 8: first place. Why is it the cost of this aging
- 27:10Speaker 8: infrastructure and providing this service of operation and maintenance. Why
- 27:13Speaker 8: are we fotting that bill one hundred percent on the
- 27:16Speaker 8: backs of the consumers, the citizens of West Virginia. The
- 27:21Speaker 8: question needs to really come down to is why is
- 27:25Speaker 8: it that these revenues continue to increase but that can't
- 27:29Speaker 8: be used for these proposed price increases. Whether it's the
- 27:33Speaker 8: natural gas going up. You know, I looked at the
- 27:36Speaker 8: numbers the other day and now might be wrong because
- 27:37Speaker 8: I'm not an expert, but natural gas is getting cheaper
- 27:40Speaker 8: and cheaper. You know, it's actually going down right now.
- 27:43Speaker 8: But they're saying that they need to increase your rates
- 27:45Speaker 8: and have you pay more because natural gas is more expensive.
- 27:48Speaker 8: You know, I don't know those details, but that's the
- 27:50Speaker 8: job of the PSC. The PC is there to ask questions,
- 27:54Speaker 8: and unfortunately we have a public of people here in
- 27:58Speaker 8: West Virginia who've lost their trust in the PSC. You
- 28:01Speaker 8: talk to anyone on the streets and they're going to
- 28:03Speaker 8: tell you, well, the PS is just going to give
- 28:06Speaker 8: them the increase. We've lost the trust. And that's not
- 28:08Speaker 8: what the PSC is about. The PSC should be somebody
- 28:11Speaker 8: that the public trusts that they're doing the job and
- 28:13Speaker 8: representing them and ensuring that they're not having an unreasonable
- 28:16Speaker 8: increase in their utility costs. And what we're seeing is
- 28:20Speaker 8: in the last five years, increase upon increase upon increase,
- 28:24Speaker 8: And I think that begs the question are we being
- 28:27Speaker 8: represented correctly to prevent unreasonable rate hikes from our utility companies?
- 28:32Speaker 2: Quick textures for Lancey and those rate increased reviews. Did
- 28:36Speaker 2: you happen to notice how many of those have been
- 28:38Speaker 2: in late fall or winter? I mean, yes, there are
- 28:42Speaker 2: a lot of those. But you know, we get increases
- 28:44Speaker 2: all the time from utility companies, whether it's vegetation surcharge,
- 28:48Speaker 2: whether it's pipeline surve charge for building the pipeline service.
- 28:54Speaker 2: You know, we keep getting these surg charges because they'll
- 28:56Speaker 2: say that they're not actually raising your rate, but yet
- 28:58Speaker 2: your bill's going up because as they're adding another surg
- 29:01Speaker 2: charge upon another surcharge, it's like a fee. But what
- 29:04Speaker 2: what I'm.
- 29:04Speaker 8: Questioning is why can't we have an open discussion of
- 29:08Speaker 8: is it necessary to have the backs of the consumers,
- 29:13Speaker 8: the citizens of West Virginia who's paying their bills, someone
- 29:15Speaker 8: fixed incomes, paying more and more in their bills for
- 29:18Speaker 8: operations that maybe Mountaineer Gas, maybe AP, maybe these other
- 29:22Speaker 8: utility companies can be paying for from the profits that
- 29:25Speaker 8: they're taking every single year, which are going up and up.
- 29:28Speaker 8: And that's public data. That's not something that we're thrown
- 29:31Speaker 8: out in thin air. This is numbers that's been provided
- 29:33Speaker 8: to the PSC. The PSC has these numbers that the
- 29:36Speaker 8: profits are going up and up every year. I'm asking
- 29:40Speaker 8: the question is if these necessary upgrades are so important,
- 29:44Speaker 8: why are we putting it on the backs of the
- 29:47Speaker 8: consumers who are paying more and more in their bills
- 29:49Speaker 8: every single year.
- 29:50Speaker 2: Come on, a County commissioner, Lance sweet or give me
- 29:52Speaker 2: about thirty seconds. I know that's hard, but about thirty seconds,
- 29:55Speaker 2: because we've got to move on about anything else that's
- 29:57Speaker 2: on your radar that you take a look at. As
- 29:59Speaker 2: we head into the fall months here, we're already there
- 30:02Speaker 2: heading the winter. Much anything else on your radar.
- 30:03Speaker 8: As well, I just want to let's switch to something
- 30:06Speaker 8: good real quick. O the Canall County Commission. We're excited
- 30:09Speaker 8: to we're going to be having our trout released again
- 30:11Speaker 8: this year, so we're going to be doing November seventh, Friday,
- 30:15Speaker 8: beginning at nine am. We're going to be at the
- 30:17Speaker 8: Clinton and Public Access stalking fish. Bring the kids. A
- 30:21Speaker 8: lot of them will get the nets and they'll put
- 30:22Speaker 8: them in the river themselves, which is always something that's
- 30:25Speaker 8: really fun and a lot of great memories and then
- 30:27Speaker 8: you can obviously catch them later. And we're also going
- 30:29Speaker 8: to be going down to Pedigrew Lake and Meadowood Park
- 30:31Speaker 8: and Tornado and we're going to be stalking there as well.
- 30:34Speaker 8: So we're just going across the county doing great things,
- 30:37Speaker 8: putting smiles on kids' faces and having an ability to
- 30:41Speaker 8: share some memories with the kids by fishing, hair and
- 30:43Speaker 8: outdoors in West Virginia.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Not count of Commission lances. We are always a pleasure

- 33:58Speaker 2: How you doing over there? I'm doing fine. Welcome to
- 34:00Speaker 2: the show. Now. You penned what I thought was a
- 34:04Speaker 2: pretty good piece again, and we're gonna break it down
- 34:08Speaker 2: because there were several points that were brought up in this,
- 34:10Speaker 2: but part of it was about getting people back to
- 34:13Speaker 2: West Virginia and once they're here investing in West Virginia.
- 34:17Speaker 2: What led you to want to write that piece that
- 34:19Speaker 2: you did.
- 34:20Speaker 16: You know, being in real estate working for Berkshire Hathaway,
- 34:23Speaker 16: I'm all over the map here in the state and
- 34:25Speaker 16: just looking at I guess things that need to be
- 34:29Speaker 16: done or you know, I can't sell buildings or property.
- 34:33Speaker 16: Properties don't move unless there's new business coming into those properties,
- 34:37Speaker 16: especially in the commercial arena. New Court of course affected
- 34:42Speaker 16: some things down in the Mason County down in that area,
- 34:46Speaker 16: and there's a lot of anisllary type of businesses that
- 34:49Speaker 16: follow that. But I've always just I always believed that
- 34:54Speaker 16: we stand at a place here in West Virginia where
- 34:56Speaker 16: we could be the example to the rest of the
- 34:57Speaker 16: United States or be the light to the rest of
- 34:59Speaker 16: the na And I just I'm just trying to do
- 35:02Speaker 16: my part and just letting people know, hey, we want
- 35:04Speaker 16: you here, we need you here. We've got, you know,
- 35:07Speaker 16: folks like Chris Warner and just you know, shooting off
- 35:11Speaker 16: the hip here.
- 35:11Speaker 2: But we've got people that will support.
- 35:14Speaker 16: Small business in larger businesses here in state of West Virginia.
- 35:20Speaker 2: So we've had a as you well know, Duke, we've
- 35:23Speaker 2: we've had a major issue in West Virginia over the years.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Number one. You know, we're the oldest state in the nation,
- 35:30Speaker 2: but we're losing population. And it's not just because of that.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Now certain areas of the state, and I talk about
- 35:36Speaker 2: this all the time, certain areas of the state. I
- 35:38Speaker 2: mean I live in I live in the heart of
- 35:40Speaker 2: Tays Valley, and it's exploding again just like it did
- 35:43Speaker 2: in the eighteen nineties. Okay, a lot of it is
- 35:45Speaker 2: new Core, you know, various other things going on, just
- 35:47Speaker 2: new Corp with other things too. Morgantown area, Eastern Panhandle,
- 35:52Speaker 2: But it seems there's far more and I'm not picking
- 35:57Speaker 2: on them, but there's far more McDowell counties. There's far
- 35:59Speaker 2: more more of these rural areas that people aren't necessarily
- 36:02Speaker 2: wanting to come into. How do we want to and
- 36:05Speaker 2: you're a Charleston guy, let's just take Charleston. How do
- 36:07Speaker 2: we get more people to want to come to those areas?
- 36:10Speaker 16: So I think I said in that post talked about
- 36:14Speaker 16: things that are just moving into industrial sector. There's a
- 36:17Speaker 16: lot going on in the industrial sector and it data,
- 36:22Speaker 16: data centers and things like that. A lot of those
- 36:25Speaker 16: guys that are on the move, they're they're coming in here,
- 36:27Speaker 16: they're looking at us. You know, we could examples in
- 36:30Speaker 16: Berkshire with Forum Energy. Just different players out there that
- 36:35Speaker 16: are coming that I guess aren't talked about as much,
- 36:38Speaker 16: But there are folks that are on the move here
- 36:41Speaker 16: in the industrial sector. We've seen that, commercial warehousing, and
- 36:49Speaker 16: just the need for flat property, which is, you know,
- 36:53Speaker 16: we don't have a lot of flat property, but you
- 36:56Speaker 16: know we we're coal you know, our backgrounds in coal,
- 36:59Speaker 16: so we can move mountains and produce you know, it
- 37:02Speaker 16: creates some flat property.
- 37:04Speaker 2: You know, we can indeed, you're urging, Duke would be
- 37:07Speaker 2: developers to buy some vacant buildings in Charleston Huntington market.
- 37:12Speaker 2: Why would you want people to take that chance?
- 37:15Speaker 16: So everything that's on the market, and it doesn't matter
- 37:18Speaker 16: if I've got it or CBR or Real Corp or
- 37:23Speaker 16: uh you know, any any of the brokers out here.
- 37:26Speaker 16: It's all low hanging fruit right now. I mean, we're
- 37:28Speaker 16: at a twelve percent average on our cap rates where
- 37:34Speaker 16: the markets that I believe it's at an average of
- 37:36Speaker 16: eight to nine cap rate and basically has to return
- 37:39Speaker 16: on your money on an income cash flowing property. But
- 37:44Speaker 16: every if I had the money, I'd buy every darn
- 37:47Speaker 16: thing that's on the market in our in Charleston, in
- 37:50Speaker 16: Kanawha County because because it turns around, it will turn around.
- 37:53Speaker 2: How would you put in those places? I mean, I
- 37:55Speaker 2: know that's I know that's not up to you. You
- 37:57Speaker 2: said you'd buy them, and obviously you'd want to leave
- 37:59Speaker 2: some renover whatever. But what but what what would you
- 38:01Speaker 2: see in a perfect world would you see moving into
- 38:05Speaker 2: those property?
- 38:05Speaker 16: In a perfect world, I'd see I think some financial
- 38:09Speaker 16: some different uh sectors of business locating or relocating here
- 38:15Speaker 16: to Charleston. You know, there there's going to be some
- 38:17Speaker 16: people I think coming from New York here eventually, and
- 38:21Speaker 16: and and I won't say coming to Charleston, but I'd
- 38:24Speaker 16: love to get some people that are coming out of
- 38:25Speaker 16: New York that are not satisfied with things that are
- 38:28Speaker 16: or how things are going on up there.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Well, I mean, there's no reason why they couldn't come
- 38:32Speaker 2: to Charleston, you know. And and and one of the
- 38:34Speaker 2: reasons is is, you know, we've got this thing with
- 38:35Speaker 2: the New River Gorge, you know, being a national park.
- 38:37Speaker 2: Now we're not that far away. And and the younger folks,
- 38:42Speaker 2: especially okay, the ones that don't have as much gray
- 38:45Speaker 2: in their beard is what you you and I have? Okay,
- 38:48Speaker 2: They they they love experiences, you know, and and they love
- 38:52Speaker 2: this that work life balance is really important to them.
- 38:54Speaker 2: I can't that's a We've got a total foreign policy
- 38:57Speaker 2: to me, but but but but it is, it's very
- 38:59Speaker 2: important to them.
- 38:59Speaker 16: We got that piece of it, right, I mean, the
- 39:01Speaker 16: tourism and the things. I think somebody just put in
- 39:04Speaker 16: a rail roller coaster up north. I mean, there are
- 39:07Speaker 16: those things that are happening, but we need the businesses.
- 39:11Speaker 16: And when I say businesses, maybe financial district or commodities
- 39:15Speaker 16: and a trading desk and things like that to follow.
- 39:19Speaker 16: I was with a gentleman the other day at the
- 39:21Speaker 16: hell House and he asked me, and he said, Duke,
- 39:25Speaker 16: what would you do with the and and he had it.
- 39:29Speaker 16: He said, what would you do with the billion dollars?
- 39:31Speaker 2: Or what?
- 39:32Speaker 16: How would a billion dollars be used here in Charleston?
- 39:35Speaker 16: And I said billion dollars for Charleston. I said, man,
- 39:38Speaker 16: that's that's West Virginia money right there. You know, we
- 39:40Speaker 16: could change the face of you know, we could do
- 39:42Speaker 16: some things with that went throughout West Virginia. But just
- 39:47Speaker 16: I think, what is it a sind the a send
- 39:51Speaker 16: program or something.
- 39:52Speaker 2: They're paying people to move to West Virginia and Charleston's
- 39:55Speaker 2: part of that. Now there's several about five or six
- 39:57Speaker 2: or maybe more around the state Charleston and where you're
- 40:00Speaker 2: basically paying. Now there's a you know, there's a little
- 40:03Speaker 2: of a contract thing where you got to agree to
- 40:05Speaker 2: stay and so on and so forth. But I mean
- 40:07Speaker 2: there that was a big deal. And it was now
- 40:08Speaker 2: a few months ago and people were going to start
- 40:10Speaker 2: taking advantage of that soon. They already had they had,
- 40:11Speaker 2: I mean something like like all sorts of app We
- 40:14Speaker 2: talked to the people in the Charleston Airy Alliance, we
- 40:16Speaker 2: talked to me our good Ones office and others. We
- 40:17Speaker 2: had a ton of people that applied in the first
- 40:19Speaker 2: twenty four hours to come to West Virginia, to come
- 40:22Speaker 2: to Charleston.
- 40:23Speaker 16: You know, there are so many people out there. And
- 40:27Speaker 16: I won't say like myself, but my dad was born
- 40:30Speaker 16: in nineteen sixteen. I was working at key Market when
- 40:33Speaker 16: I was or a grocery store when I was fifteen,
- 40:36Speaker 16: and I would have never have I would have probably
- 40:39Speaker 16: still been working at Kroger's or a grocery store if
- 40:41Speaker 16: I had not had gone to the Marine Corps. And
- 40:44Speaker 16: it just opened my eyes, you know, just different diversity,
- 40:48Speaker 16: cultures and just opened my eyes. And there's so many
- 40:51Speaker 16: people that don't get to see that now with the Internet,
- 40:55Speaker 16: and you know that I think they see that now.
- 40:58Speaker 16: But I guess folks my age, you know a lot
- 41:00Speaker 16: of people never left our borders or left their counties
- 41:04Speaker 16: in some cases, and you know, have always been you know,
- 41:07Speaker 16: they've always done what they've done. But I think we
- 41:11Speaker 16: just need to produce more opportunities here and let people
- 41:14Speaker 16: know that it's possible.
- 41:15Speaker 2: How do we do that? And that's a good question.
- 41:19Speaker 2: I asked you to come on with answers.
- 41:21Speaker 16: Man, I can't. I think you know, are this same
- 41:28Speaker 16: guy that was talking about a billion dollars, because at
- 41:31Speaker 16: the end of the day, it's not a black thing,
- 41:34Speaker 16: it's not a white thing. It's not a democratic or
- 41:37Speaker 16: Republican thing. You know, we were he was talking about
- 41:39Speaker 16: the trillion dollar triangle that exists out there. It's a
- 41:42Speaker 16: money thing. At the end of the day, it's a
- 41:44Speaker 16: money thing. And those with money and those that want
- 41:49Speaker 16: to see you know, you know, we've got to put
- 41:51Speaker 16: our gloves on and work hard, and you know, those
- 41:55Speaker 16: who want to help, we've got to come together and
- 41:57Speaker 16: drop the power piece and just come together and get
- 42:00Speaker 16: this thing right.
- 42:01Speaker 2: I want to want to bring this up to you
- 42:03Speaker 2: real quick before we let you go. In your piece,
- 42:05Speaker 2: you recount what is now a famous story going I
- 42:09Speaker 2: think it was the nineteen forties or so, maybe fifties,
- 42:12Speaker 2: where officials from Charlotte came to Charleston to learn how
- 42:16Speaker 2: we how we did things back then because they wanted
- 42:20Speaker 2: to know Charleston was so was booming so much and
- 42:24Speaker 2: people from Charlotte came here to learn how we did
- 42:28Speaker 2: things in Charleston and took that back. That seems like
- 42:32Speaker 2: a foreign concept now talk about that quickly.
- 42:35Speaker 16: Well, they moved forward, and we've always remained the same.
- 42:40Speaker 16: I think, you know, we missed we missed out on that. Personally,
- 42:44Speaker 16: this is just my personal opinion. I believe we should
- 42:47Speaker 16: have had a regional airport that decision and I was
- 42:51Speaker 16: too young to even you know, barely remember all of
- 42:54Speaker 16: that stuff. But anyway, I think we missed out on
- 42:58Speaker 16: getting a regional airport here, and I think that would
- 43:00Speaker 16: have opened our doors a little bit sooner. So uh,
- 43:03Speaker 16: but everything everything else has just kind of just remained
- 43:06Speaker 16: the same, and those in power have as always. It's
- 43:10Speaker 16: just things we've got to change. We've got we've got.
- 43:15Speaker 16: There has to be change, and that change can't come
- 43:19Speaker 16: unless the right you know, we're looking at the mall
- 43:22Speaker 16: right now that you know the whole group is, I
- 43:25Speaker 16: don't know what's going on there, and they're.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Letting it sit, and they're letting it right. I'll call
- 43:30Speaker 2: it like it is.
- 43:30Speaker 16: Okay, all right, you said that I didn't, so I'll
- 43:33Speaker 16: go a step feather. The city may look at we
- 43:36Speaker 16: need to do it, maybe an eminent domain on that.
- 43:38Speaker 16: I don't know if we can do that or not.
- 43:40Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 43:40Speaker 2: I don't know that we're there yet, you know, But
- 43:43Speaker 2: I mean, you know, I mean the city's hands are
- 43:46Speaker 2: kind of tied because it is a private property and
- 43:48Speaker 2: as long as you are keeping up and it's not
- 43:50Speaker 2: a health hazard, and it's not a whole lot of city.
- 43:53Speaker 2: In my opinion, you're more knowledgeable than I am, but in
- 43:55Speaker 2: my opinion, not a whole that city can do about it.
- 43:57Speaker 16: I think there's some maybe some new federal code it
- 43:59Speaker 16: was about, you know, well, okay, but we have to
- 44:05Speaker 16: have some change there.
- 44:06Speaker 2: All right, Well, let's do this. Let's have you back
- 44:08Speaker 2: on again. Go home and do some homework, and then
- 44:11Speaker 2: come back and let me know what that change is.
- 44:13Speaker 16: I've got some things right now, but I just I
- 44:15Speaker 16: just don't need to target on my back.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Just yeah, I got you. Well, we'll talk again soon.

- 48:45Speaker 3: Good morning, Dave yes, sir, I just got a thought
- 48:50Speaker 3: or whatnot towards that utility conversation you have. And yes, sir,
- 48:56Speaker 3: I know your property tax is majority of it goes
- 48:59Speaker 3: to school in my company anyway, So if I got
- 49:04Speaker 3: electricity to my garage, they would almost double my yearly
- 49:09Speaker 3: property tax when they come out in a sense. And
- 49:13Speaker 3: I'm just wondering that they're charging you, you know, property
