  Some weeks. I'm going to go on a cruise in

  the middle of March. I'll be headed over to Europe,

  to Nuremberg Ring and Athens, Greece, and Kim and I are going

  to be going to winter in Yellowstone, so I'll be taking

  probably 3 weeks off. I'm sure you've all had enough

  of me by now, haven't you? All right, man, there's there's

  a little bit of news going around.

  But first let's talk about this, my dear friend Jerry Hoffman.

  Jerry Hoffman's got the Turkey Bowl up in Springfield, MO.

  This is his 30th year and they will have over 400 race cars.

  I ran this race last year. I finished a fourth or fifth in

  the A main. Check it out.

  Terry Phillips would be up there, Kenny Schrader, all the

  big boys. I love that area.

  I love Springfield, MO. I grew up in Rolla, MO right

  down the road. That's the Ozark region.

  A lot of country people up there that's around Branson, MO, and

  they'll take a knife and they'll whittle some wood and a

  heartbeat. They'll make some leather and
• 1:34
  you'll realize that Springfield, MO is the home of Bass Pro

  Johnny Morris. Yeah, they got the legendary

  bass pro shops up there. The biggest aquarium.

  It really is. Springfield, MO really is a
• 1:51
  destination. And like I said, right down the
• 1:53
  road is Branson, and boy, that's a good area.

  I love that area. So go check out the Turkey Bowl

  this weekend. Schrader, Terry Phillips, over

  400 race cars. I told Jerry Hoffman I would do

  this because I helped promote dirt racing and I love them all.

  OK, Speaking of that, getting ready to do a Kenny conversation

  here within an hour. Did you know that the city of

  Clarksville, TN has bought out the Clarksville Raceway?

  The dirt track? Yeah, How about that?

  We talk about how many times we lose these dirt tracks.

  You know, we lose these dirt tracks one at a time.

  And there's less dirt tracks now than there used to be.

  They're either getting bought out or shutting down.

  Dirt race is a tough a tough business.

  So William Scoggin William is a legend.

  He owns that dirt track. He also builds trophies.

  He builds all the trophies for the Dirt car UMP awards
• 3:06
  ceremony. He builds hundreds of trophies.

  But Clarksville, TN. The homes are built right up

  against the back straightaway. We've been seeing all the

  pictures and they have finally bought all 83 acres for
• 3:21
  $7,000,000. What's William going to do with

  $7 million Now? He sure has paid his dues.

  He whatever he gets, he earns it.

  And boy that that Clarksville Speedway, that dirt track right

  there in Clarksville, TN, they have they have done it all.

  They've had drag races that drifting, Christmas lights, flea

  markets, you name it here. William has made a hell of a

  business out of that racetrack. And in the end, it isn't the

  racing that shut it down. It's the city building coming

  right out. They need the land they're going

  to build AI guess some type of recreation area right there.

  So they had 183 cars on the last night and it was standing room

  only. So Long live William Scoggin and

  the Clarksville Speedway yesterday was breaking news in

  the garage area for Rockingham. Yep.

  Did you see the biggest drag racing association in America?

  NHRA is going back to the Rock. I get goosebumps thinking about

  it. It was just like yesterday that

  N Willsboro shut down and no more Bowman Gray.

  And here we are. What goes around comes around.

  We're back. We're back at Wilkesboro for a
• 4:50
  points race in the Cup Series next year.

  We're back at Bowman Gray for the the first was at the All

  Star Race. Or not the All Star race, but

  shoot out whatever the hell they call that thing.

  And here we are back at Rockingham with NHRA.

  Now last year NASCAR was back at Rockingham with the Truck

  Series, the the the O'Reilly auto parts series.

  By the way, just a real quick reminder, Xfinity is no longer

  was ARCA O Reilly and trucks last year at Rockingham.

  I got to say with NHRA going, you know, back to the rock and

  that's right across the street. Now the the drag strip is owned

  by somebody else. The drag strip is not part of

  the Rockingham Speedway. But I got to tell you I know a

  thing or two and I can't tell you my sources or else I'd get

  in trouble. But I think the Rock soon, soon

  now NASCAR is going back to the Rock this year.

  Yes, they are. And it's going to be trucks and

  Xfinity. And I think a lot of Cup drivers

  will be there because they got a new rule.

  Now a Cup driver can now run 10 Xfinity races.

  I kissed the snake. How many doctors will it take?

  O'Reilly Auto Parts series So with all this being said, I

  think soon The Rock is going to be back for real.

  In other words, right now somebody owns the Rock and from

  what the newspapers read that that man really don't want

  anything to do with racing. He wants to sell the racetrack.

  He is actually a bar owner, the man that owns Rock and right now

  he owns bars up around Raleigh, Durham.

  And he don't really want nothing to do with the racetrack.

  Actually in a crazy way. You could see in the garage

  areas, the guy in the garage area at Rockham in the past,

  over the last three years, they've hold these, these Rays.

  They're like strobe lights and they paint themselves up.

  And so I think my opinion, we'll see.

  I think the Rock will be bought by a racer soon, like it'll be

  back to real racing and it'll be, you know, I mean, we're back

  racing right now. But what I mean a racer don't

  own the racetrack and I think soon I think the Rock could be

  back in good hands, is what I'm saying.
