  this

  is

  new
• 0:57
  trend
• 0:57
  that
• 0:57
  we're

  of.

  They

• 1:00
  they
• 1:00
  get
• 1:00
  you
• 1:01
  sucked
• 1:01
  in.
• 1:02
  Oh,
• 1:02
  you
• 1:03
  wanted
• 1:03
  it
• 1:03
  that
• 1:03
  way.
• 1:04
  I'm
• 1:04
  watching
• 1:04
  another
• 1:05
  house.
• 1:05
  It's
• 1:06
  a
• 1:06
  million
• 1:06
  dollar
• 1:07
  house.
• 1:07
  Two
• 1:07
  million
• 1:08
  dollar
• 1:08

• 1:09
  Builder
• 1:09
  didn't
• 1:09
  want
• 1:10
  to
• 1:10
  put
• 1:10
  in
• 1:11
  any
• 1:11
  kind
• 1:11
  of
• 1:12
  dimming
• 1:12
  lights
• 1:12
  in
• 1:12
  the
• 1:13
  house.
• 1:13
  I'm
• 1:13
  like,
• 1:13
  for
• 1:13
  2
• 1:13
  million
• 1:14
  bucks,
• 1:14
  you
• 1:14
  should
• 1:14
  have
• 1:14
  some
• 1:15
  dimming
• 1:15
  lights.
• 1:15
  I'm
• 1:15
  sorry,
• 1:16
  but
• 1:17
  it
• 1:17
  wasn't
• 1:17
  in
• 1:17
  the
• 1:17
  contract.
• 1:18
  So
• 1:18
  these
• 1:19
  things,
• 1:19
  you
• 1:19
  got
• 1:19
  to
• 1:19
  be
• 1:20
  really
• 1:20
  careful
• 1:20
  these
• 1:20
  days,
• 1:21
  especially
• 1:21
  with
• 1:21
  tariffs
• 1:22
  and
• 1:22
  other
• 1:22
  stuff
• 1:23
  that
• 1:23
  could
• 1:23
  change
• 1:24
  things.
• 1:24
  If
• 1:24
  you've
• 1:24
  got
• 1:24
  metal,
• 1:25
  if
• 1:25
  you've
• 1:25
  got
• 1:25
  stuff
• 1:25
  coming
• 1:26
  from
• 1:26
  overseas,
• 1:27
  this
• 1:27
  could
• 1:27
  really
• 1:27
  burn
• 1:28
  you.
• 1:28
  So
• 1:28
  be
• 1:28
  very
• 1:28
  careful
• 1:29
  there.
• 1:30
  So
• 1:30
  watch
• 1:30
  out
• 1:30
  for
• 1:31
  that.
• 1:31
  Now
• 1:32
  the
• 1:32
  next
• 1:32
  one
• 1:32
  is
• 1:32
  much
• 1:33
  bigger
• 1:34
  and
• 1:34
  this
• 1:34
  is
• 1:35
  going
• 1:35
  to
• 1:35
  be
• 1:35
  worth
• 1:35
  probably
• 1:36

  Tom,

  this

  is
• 3:18
  a
• 3:18
  bad
• 3:18
  one
• 3:19
  and
• 3:19
  I've
• 3:19
  done
• 3:20
  some
• 3:20
  updates
• 3:20
  on
• 3:20
  this
• 3:21
  because
• 3:21
  there's
• 3:21
  some
• 3:21
  new
• 3:22
  ones
• 3:22
  that
• 3:22
  I'm
• 3:22
  seeing
• 3:22
  out

  there.
• 3:23
  And
• 3:23
  sometimes
• 3:23
  I'm
• 3:24
  like,
• 3:24
  I
• 3:24
  know
• 3:24
  we

  talked

  about
• 3:24
  that

  last

• 3:26
  but
• 3:26
  let's
• 3:26
  talk
• 3:27
  about
• 3:27
  these
• 3:27
  because
• 3:27
  I'm
• 3:28
  seeing
• 3:28
  more
• 3:28
  and
• 3:28
  more
• 3:29
  of
• 3:29
  this
• 3:29
  stuff
• 3:29
  as
• 3:30
  things
• 3:30
  get
• 3:30
  tighter
• 3:30
  out
• 3:31
  there.
• 3:32
  You're
• 3:32
  seeing
• 3:32
  more
• 3:32
  and
• 3:33
  more
• 3:33
  contractors
• 3:34
  out
• 3:34
  there
• 3:35
  that
• 3:35
  are,
• 3:36
  well,
• 3:36
  taking
• 3:37
  advantage
• 3:37
  of
• 3:38
  you.
• 3:38
  Now
• 3:38
  I
• 3:38
  will
• 3:38
  say
• 3:39
  for
• 3:39
  all
• 3:39
  my
• 3:39
  contractor
• 3:40
  friends
• 3:40
  out
• 3:40
  there,
• 3:41
  95%
• 3:42
  of
• 3:43
  you
• 3:43
  are
• 3:44
  stand
• 3:44
  up
• 3:44
  humans.
• 3:45
  You
• 3:45
  do
• 3:46
  beautiful
• 3:46
  work,
• 3:47
  you
• 3:47
  do
• 3:48
  great
• 3:48
  jobs,
• 3:49
  you
• 3:49
  finish
• 3:49
  up,
• 3:49
  you
• 3:50
  do
• 3:50
  what's
• 3:50
  right
• 3:51
  even
• 3:51
  when
• 3:51
  it
• 3:51
  costs
• 3:52
  you
• 3:52
  money.
• 3:53
  But
• 3:54
  it's
• 3:54
  a
• 3:54
  little
• 3:55
  handful
• 3:55
  out
• 3:56
  there
• 3:56
  of
• 3:56
  bad
• 3:56
  apples
• 3:58
  that
• 3:58
  we
• 3:58
  see
• 3:58
  that
• 3:58
  really
• 3:59
  take
• 3:59
  advantage
• 3:59
  to
• 4:00
  give
• 4:00
  the
• 4:00
  trades
• 4:00
  a
• 4:00
  bad
• 4:01
  name.
• 4:01
  And
• 4:02
  I'm
• 4:02
  trying
• 4:02
  to
• 4:02
  eliminate
• 4:03
  those
• 4:03
  one
• 4:03
  at
• 4:03
  a
• 4:04
  time
• 4:04
  so
• 4:04
  everybody
• 4:04
  out
• 4:05
  there
• 4:05
  can
• 4:05
  see,
• 4:06
  hey,
• 4:07
  this
• 4:07
  doesn't
• 4:07
  seem
• 4:08
  right.
• 4:08
  This
• 4:09
  smells
• 4:09
  bad.
• 4:10
  So
• 4:10
  we'll
• 4:10
  see
• 4:10
  if
• 4:11
  we
• 4:11
  can
• 4:11
  help
• 4:11
  you
• 4:12
  get
• 4:12
  more
• 4:12
  information
• 4:13
  to
• 4:13
  get
• 4:14
  through
• 4:14
  that
• 4:14
  smell
• 4:14
  test.
• 4:15
  So

  the
• 4:16
  first

• 4:16
  out
• 4:16
  there

  the
• 4:22

• 4:22
  I

  will

• 4:23
  about
• 4:23
  contractor
• 4:24
  licensing,
• 4:24
  no
• 4:25
  matter
• 4:25
  where
• 4:25
  you
• 4:25
  live,
• 4:26
  the
• 4:27
  first
• 4:27
  thing
• 4:27
  I'm
• 4:27
  going
• 4:27
  to
• 4:27
  ask
• 4:28
  for
• 4:28
  you
• 4:28
  to
• 4:28
  do
• 4:28
  is
• 4:29
  understand
• 4:30
  what's
• 4:30
  legal
• 4:31
  in
• 4:31
  your
• 4:31
  area
• 4:32
  and
• 4:32
  don't
• 4:32
  go
• 4:32
  on
• 4:32
  social
• 4:33

• 4:33

• 4:35
  and
• 4:35
  ask
• 4:35
  this
• 4:35
  question
• 4:36
  because
• 4:37
  it
• 4:37
  is
• 4:37
  different
• 4:38
  all
• 4:38
  across
• 4:38
  the
• 4:39
  US
• 4:39
  There
• 4:39
  is
• 4:40
  no
• 4:41
  standard.
• 4:42
  Out
• 4:42
  here
• 4:43
  in
• 4:43
  the
• 4:44
  Pacific
• 4:44
  Northwest
• 4:45
  if
• 4:46
  you're
• 4:46
  a
• 4:46
  handyman,
• 4:47
  you
• 4:47
  have
• 4:47
  to
• 4:47
  be
• 4:48
  a
• 4:48
  licensed,
• 4:48
  bonded
• 4:49
  and
• 4:49
  insured
• 4:50
  contractor.
• 4:51
  And
• 4:51
  it's
• 4:51
  done
• 4:52
  like
• 4:52
  in
• 4:52
  my
• 4:52
  state
• 4:53
  or
• 4:53
  Washington
• 4:54
  state,
• 4:54
  Oregon,
• 4:55
  Washington,
• 4:56
  California,
• 4:57
  that's
• 4:57
  done
• 4:57
  through
• 4:58
  the
• 4:58
  state
• 4:59
  out
• 4:59
  here
• 4:59
  on
• 4:59
  the
• 4:59
  left
• 5:00
  coast
• 5:01
  and
• 5:01
  they
• 5:01
  control
• 5:02
  it
• 5:02
  really
• 5:02
  well.
• 5:03
  Other
• 5:04
  states
• 5:05
  it
• 5:05
  might
• 5:05
  be
• 5:05
  the
• 5:05
  state,
• 5:06
  it
• 5:06
  could
• 5:06
  be
• 5:06
  the
• 5:06
  county,
• 5:07
  that
• 5:07
  could
• 5:07
  be
• 5:07
  the
• 5:07
  township,
• 5:08
  it
• 5:08
  could
• 5:08
  be
• 5:08
  the
• 5:09
  city.
• 5:09
  Heck,
• 5:10
  there's
• 5:10
  some
• 5:10
  places
• 5:10
  you
• 5:11
  don't
• 5:11
  even
• 5:11
  need
• 5:11
  it.
• 5:12
  And
• 5:13
  I
• 5:13
  do
• 5:13
  agree
• 5:13
  with
• 5:14
  contractor
• 5:14
  licensing.
• 5:15
  I
• 5:16
  think
• 5:16
  it
• 5:16
  is
• 5:16
  something
• 5:17
  that
• 5:17
  we
• 5:17
  need
• 5:17
  to
• 5:17
  make
• 5:18
  sure
• 5:18
  that
• 5:18
  we're
• 5:19
  patrolling,
• 5:20
  that
• 5:20
  we're
• 5:20
  keeping
• 5:21
  good
• 5:21
  eye
• 5:21
  on
• 5:22
  so
• 5:22
  people
• 5:22
  do
• 5:22
  not
• 5:22
  get
• 5:22
  taken
• 5:23
  advantage
• 5:23
  of
• 5:24
  so
• 5:24
  we
• 5:24
  can
• 5:25
  really
• 5:26
  protect
• 5:27
  the
• 5:27
  homeowner.
• 5:28
  This
• 5:28
  is
• 5:28
  a
• 5:28
  consumer
• 5:29
  protection
• 5:29
  thing
• 5:30
  for
• 5:30
  me.
• 5:31
  So
• 5:31
  hiring
• 5:31
  an
• 5:32
  unlicensed
• 5:32
  contractor
• 5:33
  is
• 5:34
  one
• 5:34
  of
• 5:34
  the
• 5:35
  biggest
• 5:35
  ones
• 5:35
  out
• 5:35
  there.
• 5:36
  They
• 5:36
  might
• 5:36
  tell
• 5:36
  you
• 5:36
  they're
• 5:37
  licensed.
• 5:38
  Heck,
• 5:38
  they
• 5:38
  could
• 5:38
  have
• 5:39
  a
• 5:39
  similar
• 5:39
  name
• 5:39
  to
• 5:40
  another
• 5:40
  company
• 5:40
  they're
• 5:41
  trying
• 5:41
  to
• 5:41
  take
• 5:42
  advantage
• 5:42
  of
• 5:43
  and
• 5:43
  steal
• 5:44
  their
• 5:44
  marketing
• 5:45
  from.
• 5:45
  I've
• 5:46
  seen
• 5:46
  that.
• 5:47
  But
• 5:47
  really
• 5:48
  make
• 5:48
  sure
• 5:48
  they're
• 5:48
  licensed,
• 5:49
  bonded
• 5:49
  and
• 5:49
  insured.
• 5:50
  And
• 5:50
  I
• 5:50
  know
• 5:51
  there's
• 5:51
  some
• 5:51
  of
• 5:51
  you,
• 5:51
  there's
• 5:52
  a
• 5:52
  small
• 5:52
  percentage
• 5:52
  of
• 5:52
  my
• 5:53
  audience
• 5:53
  out
• 5:53
  there
• 5:53
  that
• 5:53
  goes,
• 5:54
  oh,
• 5:54
  I
• 5:54
  don't
• 5:54
  care.
• 5:54
  They
• 5:54
  could
• 5:55
  be
• 5:55
  unlicensed.
• 5:55
  Here's
• 5:56
  the
• 5:56
  problem,
• 5:56
  guys.
• 5:57
  First
• 5:58
  off,
• 5:58
  when
• 5:59
  you
• 5:59
  hire
• 5:59
  them
• 5:59
  to
• 5:59
  come
• 5:59
  work
• 6:00
  on
• 6:00
  your
• 6:00
  project,
• 6:01
  hey,
• 6:01
  I
• 6:01
  need
• 6:02
  that
• 6:02
  roof
• 6:02
  cleaned,
• 6:02
  I
• 6:03
  need
• 6:03
  the
• 6:04
  house
• 6:04
  painted,
• 6:04
  whatever.
• 6:06
  They're
• 6:06
  your
• 6:06
  employee,
• 6:07
  then
• 6:08
  you're
• 6:08
  the
• 6:08
  employer.
• 6:09
  So
• 6:09
  when
• 6:09
  they
• 6:10
  lose
• 6:10
  a
• 6:10
  finger
• 6:10
  in
• 6:11
  the
• 6:11
  table
• 6:11
  saw,
• 6:12
  fall
• 6:12
  off
• 6:12
  the
• 6:12
  roof
• 6:13
  and
• 6:13
  get
• 6:13
  paralyzed,
• 6:14
  yeah,
• 6:15
  you're
• 6:16
  paying
• 6:16
  for
• 6:16
  that
• 6:16
  into
• 6:16
  your
• 6:17
  pocket.
• 6:17
  They're
• 6:18
  your
• 6:18
  employee,
• 6:19
  you're
• 6:19
  personally
• 6:20
  responsible
• 6:20
  for
• 6:20
  them.
• 6:21
  And
• 6:22
  now
• 6:22
  you're
• 6:22
  paying
• 6:22
  for
• 6:22
  those
• 6:23
  medical
• 6:23
  bills,
• 6:23
  the
• 6:23
  death
• 6:24
  reimbursements,
• 6:25
  the
• 6:25
  disabilities.
• 6:26
  So
• 6:26
  be
• 6:27
  very
• 6:27
  careful
• 6:27
  with
• 6:27
  that.
• 6:28
  That
• 6:28
  is
• 6:28
  one
• 6:28
  thing
• 6:29
  you
• 6:29
  got
• 6:29
  to
• 6:29
  be
• 6:30
  really
• 6:30
  careful
• 6:30
  for.
• 6:31
  So
• 6:32
  make
• 6:32
  sure
• 6:32
  you
• 6:32
  hire
• 6:33
  that
• 6:34
  licensed
• 6:35
  contractor.
• 6:36
  So
• 6:37
  do
• 6:37
  your
• 6:37
  research,
• 6:38
  find
• 6:38
  out.
• 6:38
  We'll
• 6:39
  talk
• 6:39
  more
• 6:39
  about
• 6:39
  that
• 6:40
  later.
• 6:41
  One
• 6:41
  of
• 6:41
  those
• 6:42
  is
• 6:42
  do
• 6:42
  not
• 6:43
  use
• 6:44
  the
• 6:44
  BBB
• 6:45
  to.
• 6:46
  Or
• 6:46
  the
• 6:46
  Better
• 6:46
  Business
• 6:47
  Bureau,
• 6:47
  in
• 6:48
  my
• 6:48
  opinion,
• 6:49
  to
• 6:49
  chase
• 6:49
  down
• 6:50
  and
• 6:51
  see
• 6:51
  who's
• 6:51
  a
• 6:51
  good
• 6:51
  contractor
• 6:52
  and
• 6:52
  what's
• 6:52
  not.
• 6:53
  Because
• 6:54
  they
• 6:54
  could
• 6:54
  have
• 6:54
  an
• 6:54
  F,
• 6:55
  they
• 6:56
  turn
• 6:56
  around
• 6:56
  and
• 6:56
  pay
• 6:57
  for
• 6:57
  to
• 6:57
  be
• 6:57
  accredited,
• 6:58
  and
• 6:58
  now
• 6:59
  they
• 6:59
  got
• 6:59
  an
• 6:59
  A
• 6:59
  plus.
• 7:00
  So
• 7:01
  they
• 7:01
  are
• 7:02
  a
• 7:02
  pseudo
• 7:03
  consumer
• 7:04
  organization
• 7:05
  that
• 7:05
  wants
• 7:06
  a
• 7:06
  check
• 7:06
  from
• 7:06
  the
• 7:06
  business
• 7:07
  to
• 7:08
  do
• 7:08
  that.
• 7:08
  They
• 7:09
  might
• 7:09
  be
• 7:09
  okay
• 7:10
  at
• 7:10
  doing
• 7:11
  mediation
• 7:12
  and
• 7:12
  things
• 7:12
  like
• 7:12
  that,
• 7:13
  but
• 7:13
  if
• 7:13
  they're
• 7:13
  accredited,
• 7:14
  they're
• 7:15
  on
• 7:16
  the
• 7:16
  not
• 7:16
  consumer
• 7:17
  side
• 7:17
  because
• 7:17
  they're
• 7:17
  getting
• 7:18
  a
• 7:18
  check
• 7:18
  from
• 7:18
  them
• 7:19
  and
• 7:20
  it's
• 7:20
  not
• 7:20
  going
• 7:20
  to
• 7:21
  be
• 7:21
  the
• 7:21
  best
• 7:21
  situation.
• 7:22
  So
• 7:22
  the
• 7:23
  bbb,
• 7:23
  if
• 7:23
  you
• 7:24
  look
• 7:24
  on
• 7:24
  there
• 7:24
  and
• 7:24
  you
• 7:24
  goes,
• 7:25
  wow,
• 7:25
  there's
• 7:25
  22
• 7:25
  lawsuits.
• 7:26
  Maybe
• 7:26
  you
• 7:26
  go,
• 7:27
  okay,
• 7:27
  we
• 7:27
  better
• 7:27
  look
• 7:28
  a
• 7:28
  little
• 7:28
  more.
• 7:29
  But
• 7:29
  if
• 7:29
  they
• 7:29
  got
• 7:29
  a
• 7:29
  clean
• 7:30
  bill
• 7:30
  of
• 7:30
  health,
• 7:31
  in
• 7:31
  my
• 7:31
  opinion,
• 7:31
  they
• 7:31
  could
• 7:32
  have
• 7:32
  purchased
• 7:32
  that.
• 7:33
  So
• 7:33
  make
• 7:33
  sure
• 7:34
  that
• 7:34
  you
• 7:34
  don't
• 7:35
  use
• 7:35
  that
• 7:35
  as
• 7:35
  one
• 7:36
  of
• 7:36
  your
• 7:36
  things
• 7:36
  of,
• 7:36
  hey,
• 7:36
  they
• 7:36
  got
• 7:36
  a
• 7:37
  clean
• 7:37
  bill
• 7:37
  of
• 7:37
  health
• 7:37
  with
• 7:38
  the
• 7:38
  bbb.
• 7:39
  To
• 7:39
  me,
• 7:40
  that
• 7:40
  doesn't
• 7:40
  mean
• 7:40
  anything.
• 7:41
  Next
• 7:42
  up
• 7:42
  here
• 7:42
  is
• 7:42
  one
• 7:42
  of
• 7:42
  the
• 7:43
  biggest
• 7:43
  ones
• 7:43
  out
• 7:43
  there,
• 7:44
  duct
• 7:45
  cleaning
• 7:46
  scams.
• 7:47
  And
• 7:47
  I
• 7:47
  tell
• 7:47
  you
• 7:47
  what,
• 7:48
  for
• 7:48
  your
• 7:48
  H
• 7:48
  VAC
• 7:49
  system,
• 7:49
  I
• 7:50
  see
• 7:50
  this
• 7:51
  on
• 7:51
  social
• 7:52
  media
• 7:53
  almost
• 7:54
  daily.
• 7:55
  You've
• 7:55
  probably
• 7:56
  seen
• 7:56
  it
• 7:56
  too.
• 7:56
  You
• 7:57
  get
• 7:57
  on
• 7:57
  there,
• 7:57
  you're
• 7:58
  on
• 7:58
  social
• 7:58
  media.
• 7:59
  Hey,
• 7:59
  I
• 8:00
  just
• 8:00
  moved
• 8:00
  into
• 8:01
  the
• 8:01
  area.
• 8:01
  This
• 8:01
  is
• 8:02
  that.
• 8:02
  That
• 8:02
  thing,
• 8:03
  they
• 8:03
  show
• 8:03
  up
• 8:04
  pictures
• 8:04
  and
• 8:04
  you
• 8:05
  look
• 8:05
  at
• 8:05
  it
• 8:05
  and
• 8:05
  go,
• 8:06
  wow,
• 8:06
  those
• 8:07
  pictures
• 8:07
  are
• 8:07
  not
• 8:07
  even
• 8:08
  from
• 8:08
  this
• 8:08
  area.
• 8:09
  They'll
• 8:09
  be
• 8:09
  in
• 8:10
  the
• 8:10
  Pacific
• 8:10
  Northwest
• 8:10
  here.
• 8:11
  And
• 8:11
  I'm
• 8:11
  looking
• 8:11
  at
• 8:11
  that.
• 8:11
  I'm
• 8:12
  seeing
• 8:12
  the
• 8:12
  sand,
• 8:12
  I'm
• 8:13
  seeing
• 8:13
  the
• 8:13
  trees.
• 8:13
  I'm
• 8:14
  like,
• 8:14
  you're
• 8:14
  in
• 8:15
  South

• 8:44
  We've,

  a

  lot
• 8:56
  of
• 8:56
  these
• 8:56
  guys
• 8:56
  just

  there

  with

  and
• 8:59
  they're
• 8:59
  trying
• 8:59
  to
• 8:59
  do
• 8:59
  it
• 9:00
  where
• 9:00
  if
• 9:00
  you
• 9:01
  bring
• 9:01
  in
• 9:01
  a
• 9:02

  is
• 9:06
  what
• 9:07
  I

• 9:08
  And
• 9:08
  I
• 9:08
  like
• 9:09
  it
• 9:09
  when
• 9:09
  they're
• 9:09
  also
• 9:09
  an
• 9:10
  H
• 9:10

• 9:10
  company
• 9:11
  because
• 9:11
  they're
• 9:11
  also
• 9:12
  going
• 9:12
  to
• 9:12
  take
• 9:12
  a
• 9:12
  look
• 9:13
  and
• 9:13
  make
• 9:13
  sure
• 9:13
  that
• 9:13
  there's
• 9:14
  no
• 9:14
  issues.
• 9:14
  And
• 9:14
  if
• 9:15
  they
• 9:15
  break
• 9:15
  something,
• 9:16
  disconnect
• 9:17
  a
• 9:17
  duct
• 9:17
  or
• 9:17
  something
• 9:17
  like
• 9:18
  that,
• 9:18
  they've
• 9:18
  got
• 9:18
  people
• 9:18
  that
• 9:19
  can
• 9:19
  come
• 9:19
  over
• 9:19
  and
• 9:20
  fix
• 9:20
  it
• 9:20
  for
• 9:20
  you
• 9:21
  and
• 9:21
  that
• 9:21
  way
• 9:21
  you'll
• 9:22
  be
• 9:22
  good
• 9:22
  to
• 9:22
  go.
• 9:23
  So
• 9:23
  make
• 9:23
  sure
• 9:23
  they're
• 9:24
  NATCA
• 9:24
  certified.
• 9:25
  Don't
• 9:26
  get
• 9:26
  somebody
• 9:26
  off
• 9:26
  of
• 9:26
  social
• 9:27
  media.
• 9:28
  And
• 9:28
  what
• 9:28
  I
• 9:28
  would
• 9:29
  do
• 9:29
  is
• 9:29
  talk
• 9:29
  to
• 9:29
  your
• 9:30
  H
• 9:30
  Vac
• 9:31
  professional
• 9:32
  that
• 9:32
  is
• 9:32
  coming
• 9:32
  in
• 9:33
  and
• 9:33
  doing
• 9:33
  the
• 9:33
  annual
• 9:34
  or
• 9:34
  biannual
• 9:35
  service
• 9:36
  of
• 9:36
  your
• 9:36
  H
• 9:36
  Vac
• 9:37
  system.
• 9:38
  Find
• 9:38
  out
• 9:39
  who
• 9:39
  they
• 9:39
  use.
• 9:39
  And
• 9:39
  I
• 9:40
  would
• 9:40
  recommend
• 9:40
  going
• 9:41
  that
• 9:41
  direction
• 9:42
  because
• 9:42
  they're
• 9:43
  going
• 9:43
  to
• 9:43
  tell
• 9:43
  you
• 9:43
  who's
• 9:43
  good,
• 9:43
  who's
• 9:44
  not
• 9:44
  going
• 9:44
  to
• 9:44
  rip
• 9:44
  you
• 9:44
  off
• 9:45
  and
• 9:46
  who's
• 9:46
  not
• 9:46
  going
• 9:46
  to
• 9:46
  hurt
• 9:46
  the
• 9:47
  system
• 9:47
  that
• 9:47
  you've
• 9:47
  got
• 9:47
  there.
• 9:48
  So
• 9:48
  take
• 9:49
  a
• 9:49
  look
• 9:49
  at
• 9:49
  that.
• 9:49
  But
• 9:50
  go
• 9:50
  into
• 9:51
  duct
• 9:51
  cleaning
• 9:51
  like
• 9:52
  you
• 9:52
  should
• 9:52
  be
• 9:52
  going
• 9:52
  into
• 9:53
  hiring
• 9:53
  a
• 9:53
  mover.
• 9:54
  You
• 9:54
  should
• 9:54
  be
• 9:55
  skeptical
• 9:55
  walking
• 9:56
  in
• 9:57
  and
• 9:57
  make
• 9:57
  sure
• 9:57
  they're
• 9:58
  NADCA

• 9:59
  or
• 10:00
  you've
• 10:00

• 13:48
  The
• 13:49
  next
• 13:49
  one
• 13:49
  up
• 13:49
  here
• 13:49
  is
• 13:50
  a
• 13:50
  big
• 13:50
  one.
• 13:51
  And
• 13:51
  I'm
• 13:51
  seeing
• 13:52
  this
• 13:52
  all
• 13:53
  across
• 13:53
  the
• 13:53
  country.
• 13:54
  I'm
• 13:54
  actually
• 13:55
  watching
• 13:56
  a
• 13:56
  court
• 13:56
  case
• 13:57
  in
• 13:57
  Seattle
• 13:58
  where
• 13:58
  they've
• 13:59
  got
• 13:59
  that
• 13:59
  same
• 13:59
  kind
• 14:00
  of
• 14:00
  thing
• 14:00
  going
• 14:00
  on
• 14:01
  up
• 14:01
  there.
• 14:01
  And
• 14:02
  I
• 14:02
  just
• 14:02
  want
• 14:02
  to
• 14:02
  make
• 14:02
  sure
• 14:03
  everybody
• 14:04
  is
• 14:04
  keeping
• 14:05
  an
• 14:05
  eye
• 14:05
  on
• 14:05
  this
• 14:06
  one.
• 14:06
  This
• 14:07
  is
• 14:08
  massive
• 14:08
  deposits
• 14:09
  and
• 14:10
  huge
• 14:11
  price
• 14:12
  hikes.
• 14:12
  Now
• 14:13
  the
• 14:13
  one
• 14:13
  I'm
• 14:13
  watching
• 14:14
  in
• 14:14
  Seattle
• 14:14
  is
• 14:14
  an
• 14:14
  interesting
• 14:15
  case
• 14:16
  because
• 14:17
  it
• 14:17
  started
• 14:18
  out
• 14:18
  as
• 14:18
  a
• 14:18
  massive
• 14:19
  remodel
• 14:19
  project,
• 14:20
  in
• 14:21
  my
• 14:21
  professional
• 14:22
  opinion,
• 14:23
  seemed
• 14:23
  to
• 14:24
  be
• 14:24
  excessive
• 14:25
  on
• 14:26
  the
• 14:26
  price
• 14:26
  to
• 14:26
  start
• 14:27
  with.
• 14:27
  When
• 14:28
  you're
• 14:28
  talking
• 14:28
  a
• 14:29
  farmhouse
• 14:30
  that
• 14:30
  appears
• 14:31
  when
• 14:31
  you
• 14:31
  look
• 14:32
  online
• 14:32
  to
• 14:32
  be
• 14:33
  just
• 14:33
  a
• 14:34
  pretty
• 14:34
  much
• 14:34
  generic
• 14:35
  farmhouse.
• 14:36
  And
• 14:36
  that
• 14:37
  project
• 14:37
  is
• 14:37
  already
• 14:38
  hundreds
• 14:39
  of
• 14:39
  thousands
• 14:39
  of
• 14:39
  dollars
• 14:40
  as
• 14:41
  a
• 14:41
  remodel.
• 14:43
  And
• 14:43
  they
• 14:44
  went
• 14:44
  to
• 14:44
  contract,
• 14:45
  put
• 14:45
  a
• 14:45
  massive
• 14:46
  deposit
• 14:46
  down,
• 14:47
  and
• 14:47
  then
• 14:48
  between
• 14:48
  that
• 14:48
  time
• 14:49
  and
• 14:50
  the
• 14:50
  start
• 14:50
  of
• 14:51
  construction,
• 14:52
  that
• 14:52
  budget
• 14:53
  nearly
• 14:53
  doubled.
• 14:55
  So
• 14:56
  now
• 14:56
  we're
• 14:56
  well
• 14:57
  over
• 14:57
  that
• 14:58
  half
• 14:58
  million
• 14:58
  dollar
• 14:59
  mark.
• 14:59
  And
• 15:00
  the
• 15:00
  homeowner
• 15:00
  went,
• 15:01
  I
• 15:01
  can't
• 15:01
  do
• 15:01
  it.
• 15:02
  We
• 15:03
  can't
• 15:03
  start
• 15:03
  this.
• 15:04
  This
• 15:04
  is
• 15:04
  way
• 15:04
  out
• 15:04
  of
• 15:05
  line
• 15:05
  for
• 15:05
  my
• 15:05
  budget.
• 15:06
  And
• 15:07
  they
• 15:07
  allege
• 15:08
  they
• 15:08
  didn't
• 15:08
  in
• 15:09
  the
• 15:09
  court
• 15:09
  papers,
• 15:10
  wouldn't
• 15:10
  give
• 15:10
  their
• 15:11
  deposit
• 15:11
  back.
• 15:12
  So
• 15:12
  this
• 15:13
  is
• 15:13
  where
• 15:13
  you
• 15:13
  got
• 15:13
  to
• 15:13
  be
• 15:14
  really
• 15:14
  careful
• 15:15
  when
• 15:15
  you
• 15:16
  go
• 15:16
  to
• 15:16
  contract
• 15:17
  because
• 15:17
  here's
• 15:18
  what
• 15:18
  happens
• 15:19
  and
• 15:19
  this
• 15:19
  is
• 15:19
  what
• 15:19
  I
• 15:19
  worry
• 15:20
  about.
• 15:20
  You
• 15:20
  go
• 15:20
  to
• 15:20
  contract,
• 15:21
  you
• 15:21
  should
• 15:21
  have
• 15:21
  everything
• 15:22
  designed
• 15:23
  out.
• 15:23
  Everything
• 15:24
  should
• 15:24
  be
• 15:24
  specified.
• 15:25
  You
• 15:25
  should
• 15:26
  understand
• 15:26
  what
• 15:26
  the
• 15:27
  scope
• 15:27
  is.
• 15:28
  This
• 15:28
  should
• 15:28
  be
• 15:28
  dialed
• 15:28
  in.
• 15:29
  You
• 15:29
  go
• 15:30
  to
• 15:30
  contract
• 15:30
  and
• 15:30
  then,
• 15:31
  yeah,
• 15:31
  you
• 15:31
  might
• 15:31
  have
• 15:32
  to
• 15:32
  put
• 15:32
  a
• 15:32
  decent
• 15:32
  deposit
• 15:33
  down
• 15:33
  because
• 15:33
  you're
• 15:33
  going
• 15:34
  to
• 15:34
  be
• 15:34
  ordering
• 15:34
  materials.
• 15:35
  And
• 15:35
  I
• 15:36
  don't
• 15:36
  believe
• 15:36
  that
• 15:36
  contractor
• 15:37
  should
• 15:37
  be
• 15:37
  fronting
• 15:38
  those,
• 15:38
  but
• 15:39
  you
• 15:39
  should
• 15:39
  be
• 15:39
  ordering
• 15:40
  those
• 15:40
  materials.
• 15:41
  Now
• 15:41
  what
• 15:42
  you
• 15:42
  have
• 15:42
  to
• 15:42
  be
• 15:42
  careful
• 15:42
  is
• 15:43
  there
• 15:43
  are
• 15:43
  some
• 15:44
  contractors
• 15:44
  out
• 15:44
  there
• 15:45
  that
• 15:46
  will
• 15:46
  do
• 15:46
  way
• 15:47
  too
• 15:47
  much
• 15:48
  on
• 15:49
  marking
• 15:49
  things
• 15:49
  up.
• 15:50
  They'll
• 15:51
  double
• 15:51
  the
• 15:51
  price
• 15:51
  on
• 15:51
  it.
• 15:52
  Not
• 15:52
  the
• 15:53
  25
• 15:54
  or
• 15:54
  30%
• 15:55
  you
• 15:55
  see
• 15:55
  out
• 15:55
  there
• 15:56
  that
• 15:56
  they'll
• 15:57
  mark
• 15:57
  it
• 15:57
  up
• 15:57
  after
• 15:58
  they
• 15:58
  get
• 15:58
  their
• 15:58
  discount.
• 15:59
  Because
• 15:59
  that's
• 15:59
  gotta
• 15:59
  run
• 15:59
  through
• 16:00
  their
• 16:00
  books.
• 16:01
  This
• 16:01
  is
• 16:01
  what
• 16:01
  you
• 16:01
  gotta
• 16:02
  be
• 16:02
  really
• 16:02
  careful
• 16:02
  with.
• 16:03
  And
• 16:03
  so
• 16:03
  on
• 16:04
  this
• 16:04
  project.
• 16:04
  Looking
• 16:05
  at
• 16:05
  the
• 16:05
  court
• 16:05
  papers,
• 16:05
  it
• 16:05
  appears
• 16:06
  there
• 16:06
  was
• 16:06
  project
• 16:07
  creep.
• 16:07
  Now
• 16:08
  of
• 16:08
  course
• 16:08
  the
• 16:08
  homeowner
• 16:09
  says
• 16:10
  in
• 16:10
  those
• 16:10
  papers
• 16:11
  that
• 16:12
  there
• 16:12
  wasn't
• 16:12
  any
• 16:13
  significant
• 16:13
  change
• 16:13
  of
• 16:14
  scope.
• 16:14
  And
• 16:15
  what
• 16:15
  could
• 16:15
  have
• 16:15
  happened
• 16:16
  here
• 16:16
  is
• 16:16
  that
• 16:16
  contractor
• 16:17
  sits
• 16:17
  there
• 16:17
  and
• 16:17
  says,
• 16:18
  wow,
• 16:18
  I
• 16:19
  think
• 16:19
  I
• 16:19
  can
• 16:19
  get
• 16:19
  them
• 16:19
  for
• 16:19
  more
• 16:20
  money
• 16:20
  or
• 16:21
  even
• 16:21
  worse,
• 16:21
  maybe
• 16:22
  they
• 16:22
  spent
• 16:22
  that
• 16:23
  deposit
• 16:23
  money
• 16:23
  on
• 16:24
  something
• 16:24
  else.
• 16:25
  But
• 16:25
  nonetheless,
• 16:26
  these
• 16:26
  are
• 16:26
  things
• 16:27
  that
• 16:27
  you
• 16:27
  see
• 16:27
  out
• 16:27
  there.
• 16:28
  So
• 16:28
  what
• 16:28
  I'm
• 16:29
  trying
• 16:29
  to
• 16:29
  make
• 16:29
  sure
• 16:29
  of
• 16:30
  for
• 16:30
  you
• 16:31
  is
• 16:31
  that
• 16:31
  you
• 16:31
  go
• 16:31
  in
• 16:32
  with
• 16:32
  a
• 16:32
  contract
• 16:33
  and
• 16:33
  that
• 16:33
  you
• 16:34
  keep
• 16:34
  an
• 16:34
  eye
• 16:34
  on
• 16:34
  that
• 16:34
  budget
• 16:35
  as
• 16:35
  you
• 16:35
  go
• 16:35
  through
• 16:35
  it
• 16:36
  before
• 16:36
  the
• 16:36
  work
• 16:36
  starts,
• 16:37
  make
• 16:38
  sure
• 16:38
  you
• 16:38
  don't
• 16:38
  have
• 16:38
  that
• 16:38
  project
• 16:39
  creep.
• 16:39
  So
• 16:39
  there's
• 16:40
  those
• 16:40
  new
• 16:40
  numbers
• 16:40
  that
• 16:41
  come
• 16:41
  in,
• 16:41
  like
• 16:41
  change
• 16:41
  orders
• 16:42
  that
• 16:42
  can
• 16:42
  burn
• 16:43
  you.
• 16:43
  So
• 16:43
  be
• 16:43
  really
• 16:44
  careful
• 16:45
  on
• 16:45
  massive
• 16:46
  deposits
• 16:46
  and
• 16:47
  huge
• 16:47
  price
• 16:47
  hikes.
• 16:48
  Cause
• 16:48
  it's
• 16:48
  happening
• 16:49
  out
• 16:49
  there.
• 16:49
  And
• 16:50
  this
• 16:50
  is
• 16:50
  a
• 16:50
  new
• 16:50
  trend
• 16:51
  that
• 16:51
  we're
• 16:51
  seeing
• 16:51
  more
• 16:52
  and
• 16:52
  more
• 16:52
  of.
• 16:52
  They
• 16:53
  come
• 16:53
  in
• 16:53
  low,
• 16:54
  they
• 16:54
  get
• 16:54
  you
• 16:54
  sucked
• 16:55
  in.
• 16:55
  Oh,
• 16:56
  you
• 16:56
  wanted
• 16:56
  it
• 16:57
  that
• 16:57
  way.
• 16:57
  I'm
• 16:58
  watching
• 16:58
  another
• 16:58
  house.
• 16:59
  It's
• 16:59
  a
• 17:00
  million
• 17:00
  dollar
• 17:00
  house,
• 17:01
  $2
• 17:01
  million
• 17:01
  house,
• 17:02
  to
• 17:02
  be
• 17:03
  honest.
• 17:03
  Builder
• 17:04
  didn't
• 17:04
  want
• 17:04
  to
• 17:04
  put
• 17:05
  in
• 17:05
  any
• 17:06
  kind
• 17:06
  of
• 17:06
  dimming
• 17:07
  lights
• 17:07
  in
• 17:07
  the
• 17:07
  house.
• 17:07
  I'm
• 17:08
  like,
• 17:08
  for
• 17:08
  2
• 17:08
  million
• 17:08
  bucks
• 17:09
  you
• 17:09
  should
• 17:09
  have
• 17:09
  some
• 17:09
  dimming
• 17:10
  lights.
• 17:10
  I'm
• 17:10
  sorry,
• 17:11
  but
• 17:11
  it
• 17:11
  wasn't
• 17:12
  in
• 17:12
  the
• 17:12
  contract.
• 17:13
  So
• 17:13
  these
• 17:13
  are
• 17:14
  things
• 17:14
  you
• 17:14
  got
• 17:14
  to
• 17:14
  be
• 17:14
  really
• 17:15
  careful
• 17:15
  these
• 17:15
  days,
• 17:15
  especially
• 17:16
  with
• 17:16
  tariffs
• 17:16
  and
• 17:17
  other
• 17:17
  stuff
• 17:17
  that
• 17:18
  could
• 17:18
  change
• 17:18
  things.
• 17:19
  If
• 17:19
  you've
• 17:19
  got
• 17:19
  metal,
• 17:19
  if
• 17:20
  you've
• 17:20
  got
• 17:20
  stuff
• 17:20
  coming
• 17:20
  from
• 17:21
  overseas,
• 17:22
  this
• 17:22
  could
• 17:22
  really
• 17:22
  burn
• 17:22
  you.
• 17:23
  So
• 17:23
  be
• 17:23
  very
• 17:23
  careful
• 17:24
  there.
• 17:24
  So
• 17:25
  watch
• 17:25
  out
• 17:25
  for
• 17:25
  that.
• 17:26
  Now
• 17:26
  the
• 17:26
  next
• 17:27
  one
• 17:27
  is
• 17:27
  much
• 17:28
  bigger.
• 17:29
  And
• 17:29
  this
• 17:29
  is
• 17:29
  going
• 17:29
  to
• 17:30
  be
• 17:30
  worth
• 17:30
  probably
• 17:30
  a
• 17:31
  good
• 17:31
  section
• 17:31
  of
• 17:31
  this
• 17:32
  right
• 17:32
  here.
• 17:33
  Because
• 17:33
  this
• 17:33
  is
• 17:33
  one
• 17:34
  of
• 17:34
  the
• 17:34
  biggest
• 17:34
  ones
• 17:34
  out
• 17:34
  there.
• 17:35
  Foundation
• 17:37
  company
• 17:38
  scams.
• 17:39
  These
• 17:40
  are
• 17:40
  that
• 17:40
  foundation
• 17:41
  contractor
• 17:41
  that
• 17:41
  comes
• 17:42
  out
• 17:42
  now.
• 17:43
  There
• 17:43
  are
• 17:43
  great
• 17:44
  ones
• 17:44
  out
• 17:44
  there.
• 17:45
  There
• 17:46
  are
• 17:46
  other
• 17:46
  ones
• 17:46
  that
• 17:46
  come
• 17:46
  out
• 17:47
  there
• 17:47
  and
• 17:48
  Try
• 17:48
  to
• 17:48
  scare
• 17:49
  you
• 17:49
  and
• 17:50
  really
• 17:50
  trying
• 17:51
  to
• 17:51
  twist
• 17:51
  your
• 17:52
  arm.
• 17:53
  There
• 17:53
  are
• 17:53
  companies
• 17:54
  out
• 17:54
  there
• 17:54
  that
• 17:54
  are
• 17:55
  national
• 17:55
  companies
• 17:56
  that
• 17:56
  I
• 17:56
  get
• 17:57
  concerned
• 17:57
  about.
• 17:58
  They
• 17:58
  come
• 17:58
  in
• 17:59
  and
• 17:59
  they
• 17:59
  have
• 18:00
  one
• 18:00
  answer
• 18:01
  for
• 18:01
  everything.
• 18:02
  And
• 18:03
  it's
• 18:03
  usually
• 18:04
  30,
• 18:04
  40,
• 18:05
  50,
• 18:06
  60,
• 18:07
  $70,000.
• 18:08
  Now
• 18:08
  tell
• 18:08
  you
• 18:08
  a
• 18:08
  story.
• 18:09
  If
• 18:09
  you've
• 18:09
  listened
• 18:09
  to
• 18:09
  the
• 18:10
  show
• 18:10
  before,
• 18:10
  you
• 18:10
  might
• 18:10
  have
• 18:10
  heard
• 18:11
  me
• 18:11
  tell
• 18:11
  this
• 18:11
  story
• 18:11
  before,
• 18:12
  but
• 18:12
  it
• 18:13
  was
• 18:13
  valid.
• 18:14
  I
• 18:14
  pull
• 18:14
  up
• 18:14
  out
• 18:14
  front
• 18:15
  for
• 18:15
  my
• 18:15
  time
• 18:16
  to
• 18:16
  give
• 18:16
  an
• 18:16
  estimate.
• 18:16
  Cause
• 18:17
  I
• 18:17
  was
• 18:17
  working
• 18:17
  for
• 18:17
  a
• 18:17
  foundation
• 18:18
  company
• 18:18
  at
• 18:18
  the
• 18:18
  time,
• 18:19
  helping
• 18:20
  them
• 18:20
  out
• 18:20
  with
• 18:20
  some
• 18:20
  sales.
• 18:21
  Pulled
• 18:22
  up
• 18:22
  out
• 18:22
  front,
• 18:23
  I
• 18:23
  see
• 18:23
  my
• 18:23
  competition's
• 18:24
  car
• 18:24
  still
• 18:25
  out
• 18:25
  there.
• 18:26
  So
• 18:26
  I
• 18:26
  wait
• 18:27
  a
• 18:27
  few
• 18:27
  minutes
• 18:28
  early,
• 18:28
  wait
• 18:28
  for
• 18:28
  them
• 18:29
  to
• 18:29
  get
• 18:29
  wrapped
• 18:29
  up.
• 18:30
  Finally
• 18:30
  I
• 18:30
  go
• 18:31
  up
• 18:31
  and
• 18:31
  knock
• 18:31
  on
• 18:31
  the
• 18:31
  door
• 18:31
  and
• 18:32
  go,
• 18:32
  hey,
• 18:32
  it's
• 18:32
  my
• 18:32
  time
• 18:33
  to
• 18:33
  come
• 18:33
  in.
• 18:33
  They
• 18:34
  wrap
• 18:34
  up
• 18:34
  and
• 18:34
  leave.
• 18:35
  These
• 18:36
  people
• 18:36
  were
• 18:36
  nearly
• 18:36
  in
• 18:37
  tears
• 18:38
  for
• 18:38
  $35,000.
• 18:41
  So
• 18:41
  I
• 18:41
  take
• 18:42
  a
• 18:42
  look
• 18:42
  at
• 18:42
  the
• 18:42
  estimate,
• 18:42
  see
• 18:43
  what
• 18:43
  they
• 18:43
  saw.
• 18:44
  Walk
• 18:44
  down
• 18:45
  into
• 18:45
  the
• 18:45
  basement,
• 18:46
  they
• 18:46
  had
• 18:46
  a
• 18:46
  crack
• 18:47
  in
• 18:47
  the
• 18:47
  foundation,
• 18:47
  right?
• 18:48
  They
• 18:48
  had
• 18:48
  that
• 18:48
  crack
• 18:49
  water
• 18:49
  in
• 18:49
  the
• 18:49
  ground.
• 18:50
  So
• 18:50
  they
• 18:50
  told
• 18:50
  them
• 18:50
  that
• 18:50
  they
• 18:51
  were
• 18:51
  gonna
• 18:51
  tear
• 18:52
  up
• 18:52
  the
• 18:52
  basement
• 18:53
  floor,
• 18:53
  put
• 18:53
  a
• 18:53
  below
• 18:53
  grade
• 18:54
  sump
• 18:55
  system
• 18:55
  in,
• 18:56
  not
• 18:56
  a
• 18:57
  trough
• 18:57
  system,
• 18:57
  but
• 18:57
  they
• 18:57
  were
• 18:58
  gonna
• 18:58
  put
• 18:58
  a
• 18:58
  below
• 18:58
  grade
• 18:59
  French
• 18:59
  drain
• 18:59
  system
• 19:00
  in
• 19:00
  and
• 19:01
  do
• 19:01
  all
• 19:01
  this
• 19:02
  stuff.
• 19:02
  It
• 19:02
  was
• 19:02
  a
• 19:02
  finished
• 19:03
  basement.
• 19:03
  Mid
• 19:04
  century,
• 19:04
  ish,
• 19:05
  split
• 19:05
  California
• 19:06
  split
• 19:06
  level
• 19:07
  house
• 19:07
  if
• 19:07
  you're
• 19:07
  on
• 19:07
  the
• 19:07
  west
• 19:07
  coast.
• 19:08
  So
• 19:09
  I'm
• 19:09
  down
• 19:09
  in
• 19:09
  that
• 19:09
  half
• 19:09
  basement
• 19:10
  and
• 19:11
  I'm
• 19:11
  like,
• 19:11
  where's
• 19:11
  the
• 19:11
  water
• 19:12
  coming
• 19:12
  in
• 19:12
  at?
• 19:12
  They
• 19:12
  show
• 19:13
  me
• 19:13
  over
• 19:13
  in
• 19:13
  this
• 19:13
  area.
• 19:14
  Now
• 19:14
  keep
• 19:14
  in
• 19:15
  mind,
• 19:15
  this
• 19:15
  basement
• 19:15
  also
• 19:16
  had
• 19:16
  9
• 19:17
  by
• 19:17
  9
• 19:17
  asbestos
• 19:18
  tiles
• 19:18
  in
• 19:18
  it.
• 19:18
  So
• 19:18
  that
• 19:18
  number
• 19:19
  wasn't
• 19:19
  in
• 19:19
  there.
• 19:19
  So
• 19:20
  they
• 19:20
  were
• 19:20
  gonna
• 19:20
  have
• 19:20
  another
• 19:20
  20,000
• 19:21
  bucks,
• 19:21
  I
• 19:21
  bet,
• 19:22
  in
• 19:22
  asbestos
• 19:23
  abatement.
• 19:24
  And
• 19:24
  then
• 19:24
  have
• 19:24
  to
• 19:24
  put
• 19:25
  the
• 19:25
  place
• 19:25
  back
• 19:25
  afterwards.
• 19:26
  And
• 19:26
  that
• 19:26
  could
• 19:26
  have
• 19:26
  been
• 19:26
  a
• 19:27
  hundred
• 19:27
  thousand
• 19:27
  dollar
• 19:27
  job
• 19:27
  by
• 19:28
  the
• 19:28
  time
• 19:28
  they
• 19:28
  were
• 19:28
  done.
• 19:29
  So
• 19:29
  anyway,
• 19:30
  go
• 19:30
  through
• 19:31
  this,
• 19:31
  I
• 19:31
  take
• 19:31
  a
• 19:31
  look
• 19:32
  at
• 19:32
  it
• 19:32
  and
• 19:32
  I'm
• 19:32
  like,
• 19:32
  hey,
• 19:32
  I
• 19:32
  noticed
• 19:33
  something
• 19:33
  when
• 19:33
  I
• 19:33
  was
• 19:33
  walking
• 19:33
  up
• 19:34
  the
• 19:34
  house.
• 19:34
  Let
• 19:35
  me
• 19:35
  go
• 19:35
  out
• 19:35
  and
• 19:35
  take
• 19:35
  a
• 19:35
  look.
• 19:36
  Sure
• 19:37
  enough,
• 19:37
  out
• 19:37
  by
• 19:37
  the
• 19:37
  front
• 19:38
  window,
• 19:38
  to
• 19:38
  the
• 19:38
  left
• 19:39
  of
• 19:39
  the
• 19:39
  door,
• 19:39
  there's
• 19:40
  a
• 19:40
  crack
• 19:40
  in
• 19:40
  the
• 19:40
  foundation
• 19:41
  right
• 19:41
  by
• 19:42
  a
• 19:42
  sprinkler
• 19:42
  head.
• 19:43
  Water
• 19:43
  was
• 19:43
  coming
• 19:44
  in
• 19:44
  there,
• 19:44
  coming
• 19:45
  down,
• 19:45
  flooding
• 19:46
  the.
• 19:46
  Flooding
• 19:46
  that
• 19:46
  basement.
• 19:47
  Now
• 19:48
  my
• 19:48
  quote
• 19:48
  that
• 19:48
  I
• 19:48
  gave
• 19:49
  him
• 19:49
  to
• 19:49
  fix
• 19:49
  that
• 19:50
  was
• 19:50
  $2200.
• 19:53
  I
• 19:53
  could
• 19:53
  fix
• 19:54
  it.
• 19:54
  Carbon
• 19:55
  fiber,
• 19:56
  little
• 19:56
  urethane
• 19:57
  to
• 19:57
  make
• 19:57
  sure
• 19:57
  that
• 19:58
  we
• 19:58
  sealed
• 19:58
  that
• 19:58
  up.
• 19:59
  Good
• 19:59
  to
• 20:00
  go.
• 20:00
  But
• 20:01
  they
• 20:02
  spent
• 20:02
  another.
• 20:02
  They
• 20:03
  spent
• 20:03
  two
• 20:03
  hours
• 20:03
  with
• 20:04
  this
• 20:04
  couple
• 20:05
  trying
• 20:05
  to
• 20:05
  twist
• 20:06
  their
• 20:06
  arm
• 20:07
  and
• 20:07
  get
• 20:07
  them
• 20:08
  to
• 20:08
  buy
• 20:08
  it.
• 20:09
  So
• 20:09
  make
• 20:09
  sure
• 20:10
  with
• 20:11
  foundation
• 20:11
  companies
• 20:12
  that
• 20:13
  you
• 20:13
  understand
• 20:14
  what's
• 20:15
  going
• 20:15
  on
• 20:15
  and
• 20:16
  you've
• 20:16
  Got
• 20:16
  the
• 20:16
  right
• 20:16
  solution.
• 20:17
  My
• 20:18
  answer
• 20:18
  is,
• 20:18
  and
• 20:18
  there's
• 20:19
  great
• 20:19
  ones
• 20:19
  out
• 20:19
  there,
• 20:19
  my
• 20:20
  answer
• 20:20
  is
• 20:20
  to
• 20:21
  go
• 20:21
  hire
• 20:21
  a
• 20:21
  structural
• 20:21
  engineer
• 20:22
  first,
• 20:22
  come
• 20:23
  take
• 20:23
  a
• 20:23
  look
• 20:23
  at
• 20:23
  it,
• 20:24
  figure
• 20:24
  out
• 20:25
  what
• 20:25
  the
• 20:25
  issues
• 20:25
  are,
• 20:26
  get
• 20:26
  them
• 20:27
  to
• 20:27
  write
• 20:27
  a
• 20:27
  report,
• 20:27
  you
• 20:28
  pay
• 20:28
  them
• 20:28
  for
• 20:29
  the
• 20:29
  solution
• 20:29
  that
• 20:30
  has
• 20:30
  an
• 20:30
  engineering
• 20:30
  stamp
• 20:31
  on
• 20:31
  it
• 20:31
  and
• 20:32
  then
• 20:32
  go
• 20:32
  out
• 20:32
  to
• 20:32
  bid
• 20:33
  so
• 20:34
  people
• 20:34
  can
• 20:34
  give
• 20:34
  you
• 20:35
  that.
• 20:36
  And
• 20:36
  then
• 20:36
  you
• 20:36
  pay
• 20:37
  the
• 20:37
  engineer,
• 20:37
  come
• 20:37
  out
• 20:37
  and
• 20:37
  inspect
• 20:38
  it
• 20:38
  when
• 20:38
  it's
• 20:38
  done
• 20:38
  to
• 20:38
  make
• 20:38
  sure
• 20:38
  it's
• 20:39
  done,
• 20:39
  to
• 20:39
  plan.
• 20:40
  That's
• 20:40
  going
• 20:41
  to
• 20:41
  save
• 20:41
  you
• 20:42
  tens
• 20:42
  of
• 20:42
  thousands
• 20:43
  of
• 20:43
  dollars,
• 20:43
  possibly
• 20:44
  because
• 20:45
  you've
• 20:45
  got
• 20:45
  the
• 20:45
  right
• 20:46
  person
• 20:46
  coming
• 20:47
  to
• 20:47
  figure
• 20:47
  that
• 20:47
  out
• 20:48
  for
• 20:48
  you.
• 20:49
  So
• 20:49
  take
• 20:49
  a
• 20:49
  look
• 20:49
  at
• 20:50
  that.
• 20:51
  Be
• 20:51
  very
• 20:51
  careful
• 20:52
  of
• 20:52
  these
• 20:52
  people
• 20:53
  out
• 20:53
  there.
• 20:54
  I
• 20:54
  work
• 20:54
  with
• 20:54
  a
• 20:55
  great
• 20:55
  company
• 20:55
  here
• 20:55
  in
• 20:55
  Portland
• 20:56
  on
• 20:56
  my
• 20:56

• 20:57
  show,
• 20:57
  John's
• 20:57

• 20:58
  They
• 20:58
  do
• 20:58
  a
• 20:59
  great
• 20:59
  job,
• 21:00
  good,
• 21:00
  honest
• 21:00
  people.
• 21:01
  But
• 21:02
  there
• 21:02
  are
• 21:02
  other
• 21:02
  ones
• 21:02
  out
• 21:03
  there
• 21:03
  that
• 21:04
  twist
• 21:04
  arms.
• 21:05
  And
• 21:06
  we'll
• 21:06
  talk
• 21:06
  about
• 21:07
  more
• 21:07
  of
• 21:07
  this
• 21:07
  later
• 21:08
  on
• 21:08
  in
• 21:08
  the
• 21:08
  episode
• 21:09
  here
• 21:09
  because
• 21:09
  there's
• 21:10
  some
• 21:10
  tactics
• 21:10
  that
• 21:10
  I
• 21:11
  warn
• 21:11
  you
• 21:11
  of
• 21:11
  as
• 21:11
  well.
• 21:12
  And
• 21:12
  I
• 21:12
  see
• 21:12
  this
• 21:13
  with
• 21:13
  foundation
• 21:13
  companies,
• 21:14
  with
• 21:14
  some
• 21:14

• 21:14

• 21:14
  that
• 21:15
  use
• 21:15
  those
• 21:15
  same
• 21:16
  tactics.
• 21:16
  So
• 21:17
  round
• 21:17

• 21:17
  We'll

• 24:04

  the

  thing.
• 24:06
  In
• 24:06
  most
• 24:06
  cases,
• 24:08
  you
• 24:08
  don't
• 24:08
  have

  to

• 24:13
  as

• 24:14
  And
• 24:14
  this
• 24:14
  is
• 24:14
  something
• 24:14
  I
• 24:14
  want
• 24:15
  you
• 24:15
  to
• 24:15
  take
• 24:15
  a
• 24:15

• 24:15
  Now,

  you're

• 24:17

• 24:17

• 24:18
  you
• 24:18
  want
• 24:18
  to
• 24:18
  the
• 24:19

• 24:19
  at
• 24:19
  a
• 24:19
  different
• 24:19
  level.
• 24:20
  You
• 24:20
  don't
• 24:20
  want
• 24:21
  to
• 24:21
  dig
• 24:21
  down,
• 24:21
  you
• 24:21
  want
• 24:22
  to
• 24:22
  raise
• 24:22
  it
• 24:22
  up.
• 24:23
  Totally
• 24:23

  it.
• 24:24
  But
• 24:25
  I
• 24:25
  have
• 24:25
  done
• 24:25
  stuff
• 24:26
  with

• 24:26
  that

  even

  one
• 24:30
  of
• 24:30
  those
• 24:31
  clay
• 24:31

• 24:31
  foundations
• 24:33
  I
• 24:33
  have
• 24:33
  done.
• 24:34
  Where
• 24:34
  we
• 24:34
  have
• 24:34
  done
• 24:35
  on
• 24:36
  the
• 24:36
  inside,
• 24:36
  we
• 24:36
  have
• 24:37
  porn
• 24:37
  poured
• 24:38
  new
• 24:38
  interior
• 24:39
  concrete
• 24:40
  walls
• 24:41
  to
• 24:41
  add
• 24:41
  to
• 24:41
  it.
• 24:42
  Now
• 24:42
  you
• 24:42
  lose
• 24:42
  a
• 24:42
  little
• 24:42
  square
• 24:43
  footage
• 24:43
  of
• 24:43
  it.
• 24:44
  But
• 24:44
  you
• 24:44
  can
• 24:44
  live
• 24:45
  in
• 24:45
  the
• 24:45
  house.
• 24:45
  You
• 24:45
  don't
• 24:45
  have
• 24:45
  to
• 24:46
  jack
• 24:46
  it
• 24:46
  up.
• 24:47
  You
• 24:47
  might
• 24:47
  have
• 24:47
  some
• 24:48
  discomfort
• 24:49
  here
• 24:49
  and
• 24:49
  there
• 24:49
  because
• 24:50
  you're
• 24:50
  gonna
• 24:50
  have
• 24:50
  to
• 24:50
  sit
• 24:50
  there
• 24:50
  and
• 24:51
  do
• 24:51
  some
• 24:51
  stuff.
• 24:51
  Like
• 24:52
  for
• 24:52
  instance,
• 24:53
  if
• 24:53
  your
• 24:54
  H
• 24:54
  vac
• 24:54
  system
• 24:55
  is
• 24:55
  in
• 24:55
  the
• 24:55
  basement,
• 24:55
  up
• 24:55
  against
• 24:56
  the
• 24:56
  wall,
• 24:56
  water
• 24:56
  heater,
• 24:56
  utilities
• 24:57
  coming
• 24:57
  in,
• 24:57
  you
• 24:57
  gotta
• 24:57
  work
• 24:58
  around
• 24:58
  those.
• 24:58
  But
• 24:58
  really,
• 24:59
  you
• 25:00
  can
• 25:00
  do
• 25:00
  this
• 25:00
  kind
• 25:00
  of
• 25:00
  stuff
• 25:01
  and
• 25:01
  not
• 25:02
  have
• 25:02
  to
• 25:02
  move
• 25:02
  out
• 25:02
  of
• 25:03
  that
• 25:03
  house
• 25:03
  in
• 25:03
  many
• 25:03
  cases.
• 25:04
  So
• 25:04
  if
• 25:05
  you've
• 25:05
  got
• 25:05
  that
• 25:06
  failed
• 25:07
  foundation,
• 25:08
  there's
• 25:08
  a
• 25:08
  lot
• 25:08
  of
• 25:08
  ways
• 25:09
  to
• 25:09
  do
• 25:09
  this.
• 25:10
  But
• 25:10
  you
• 25:10
  can
• 25:10
  pour
• 25:11
  new
• 25:11
  interior
• 25:12
  foundations,
• 25:13
  and
• 25:13
  that
• 25:13
  is
• 25:13
  a
• 25:13
  heck
• 25:14
  of
• 25:14
  a
• 25:14
  lot
• 25:14
  cheaper
• 25:15
  than
• 25:15
  lifting
• 25:16
  up
• 25:16
  that
• 25:17
  house.
• 25:18
  So
• 25:18
  take
• 25:18
  a
• 25:18
  look
• 25:18
  at
• 25:18
  that.
• 25:19
  That's
• 25:19
  an
• 25:19
  option
• 25:19
  for
• 25:20
  all
• 25:20
  of
• 25:20
  you
• 25:20
  out
• 25:20
  there
• 25:21
  that
• 25:21
  are
• 25:21
  gonna
• 25:22
  have
• 25:22
  to
• 25:22
  replace
• 25:22
  a
• 25:23
  foundation
• 25:23
  because
• 25:24
  it
• 25:24
  has
• 25:24
  had
• 25:25
  its
• 25:25
  end
• 25:25
  of
• 25:25
  life.
• 25:26
  That's
• 25:26
  a
• 25:26
  good
• 25:26
  way
• 25:26
  to
• 25:26
  do
• 25:27
  it.
• 25:27
  And
• 25:28
  it's
• 25:28
  super
• 25:28
  strong
• 25:29
  because
• 25:29
  you
• 25:29
  got
• 25:29
  the
• 25:29
  foundation
• 25:30
  and
• 25:30
  you
• 25:30
  got
• 25:30
  something
• 25:30
  on
• 25:30
  the
• 25:30
  other
• 25:31
  side
• 25:31
  that
• 25:31
  is
• 25:32
  sacrificial
• 25:32
  up
• 25:33
  against
• 25:34
  the
• 25:34
  dirt.
• 25:35
  And
• 25:35
  this
• 25:35
  just
• 25:36
  adds
• 25:36
  to
• 25:36
  it
• 25:37
  and
• 25:37
  makes
• 25:37
  sure
• 25:37
  that
• 25:37
  you're
• 25:37
  strong.
• 25:38
  Then
• 25:38
  you
• 25:38
  can
• 25:38
  dig
• 25:39
  down
• 25:39
  if
• 25:39
  you
• 25:39
  want
• 25:39
  to
• 25:39
  make
• 25:40
  it
• 25:40
  deeper.
• 25:40
  If
• 25:40
  you
• 25:40
  want
• 25:40
  to
• 25:40
  have
• 25:40
  a
• 25:41
  higher
• 25:41
  ceiling,
• 25:41
  you
• 25:42
  can
• 25:42
  still
• 25:42
  work
• 25:42
  around
• 25:43
  that.
• 25:43
  So
• 25:44
  all
• 25:44
  it
• 25:44
  takes
• 25:44
  is
• 25:44
  an
• 25:44
  engineer
• 25:45
  to
• 25:45
  draw
• 25:45
  it
• 25:45
  out
• 25:46
  and
• 25:46
  some
• 25:46
  concrete
• 25:47
  forms
• 25:47
  and
• 25:47
  stuff
• 25:47
  like
• 25:48
  that.
• 25:48
  And
• 25:48
  you
• 25:48
  can
• 25:48
  get
• 25:48
  after
• 25:49
  it.
• 25:49
  So
• 25:49
  it's
• 25:49
  a
• 25:49
  good
• 25:49
  way
• 25:49
  to
• 25:50
  go.
• 25:50
  So
• 25:50
  the
• 25:51
  next
• 25:51
  one
• 25:51
  here,
• 25:51
  after
• 25:51
  we
• 25:52
  go
• 25:52
  through
• 25:52
  foundation
• 25:52
  company
• 25:53
  scams
• 25:53
  that
• 25:53
  we
• 25:53
  were
• 25:53
  talking
• 25:54
  about,
• 25:54
  plumbing
• 25:55
  repair
• 25:55
  scams,
• 25:56
  this
• 25:57
  is
• 25:57
  one
• 25:57
  that
• 25:57
  I
• 25:57
  learned
• 25:58
  a
• 25:58
  lot
• 25:58
  from
• 25:59
  my
• 25:59
  buddy
• 26:00
  Roger
• 26:00
  Wakefield,
• 26:01
  the
• 26:01
  expert
• 26:02
  plumber.
• 26:03
  And
• 26:03
  Roger
• 26:03
  and
• 26:04
  I
• 26:04
  go
• 26:04
  way
• 26:04
  back,
• 26:04
  before
• 26:05
  he
• 26:05
  was
• 26:06
  that
• 26:06
  big,
• 26:07
  really,
• 26:07
  one
• 26:08
  of
• 26:08
  the
• 26:08
  leading
• 26:08
  plumbing
• 26:09
  experts
• 26:09
  in
• 26:09
  the
• 26:09
  country,
• 26:11
  in
• 26:11
  North
• 26:11
  America.
• 26:12
  I
• 26:12
  met
• 26:12
  him
• 26:13
  coming
• 26:13
  into
• 26:13
  one
• 26:13
  of
• 26:13
  my
• 26:14
  seminars,
• 26:14
  and
• 26:15
  he
• 26:15
  stood
• 26:15
  out
• 26:16
  just
• 26:16
  like
• 26:16
  that,
• 26:16
  shining
• 26:17
  star
• 26:17
  in
• 26:17
  the
• 26:17
  crowd.
• 26:18
  I'm
• 26:18
  like,
• 26:18
  all
• 26:18
  right,
• 26:18
  that
• 26:19
  guy's
• 26:19
  got
• 26:19
  something
• 26:19
  there.
• 26:20
  And
• 26:20
  him
• 26:20
  and
• 26:21
  I
• 26:21
  have
• 26:21
  been
• 26:21
  friends
• 26:21
  ever
• 26:22
  since.
• 26:22
  And
• 26:22
  it's
• 26:22
  been
• 26:23
  fun
• 26:23
  watching
• 26:23
  him
• 26:23
  grow.
• 26:24
  But
• 26:24
  I
• 26:25
  learned
• 26:25
  this
• 26:25
  from
• 26:25
  him,
• 26:26
  that
• 26:26
  there
• 26:27
  are
• 26:27
  drain
• 26:27
  companies
• 26:28
  out
• 26:28
  there
• 26:29
  that
• 26:29
  send
• 26:29
  out
• 26:29
  their
• 26:30
  people.
• 26:30
  And
• 26:30
  no,
• 26:30
  they're
• 26:31
  not
• 26:31
  licensed
• 26:31
  plumbers,
• 26:32
  but
• 26:32
  they
• 26:32
  are
• 26:32
  drain
• 26:33
  technicians.
• 26:34
  And
• 26:34
  they
• 26:34
  will
• 26:35
  show
• 26:35
  you
• 26:36
  a
• 26:36
  video
• 26:37
  of
• 26:37
  your
• 26:37
  line
• 26:38
  that's
• 26:38
  plugged
• 26:39
  with
• 26:39
  roots
• 26:40
  or
• 26:40
  whatever.
• 26:41
  Guess
• 26:41
  what,
• 26:42
  it
• 26:42
  might
• 26:43
  not
• 26:43
  be
• 26:43
  your
• 26:43
  house.
• 26:44
  There
• 26:45
  are
• 26:45
  people
• 26:45
  out
• 26:45
  there,
• 26:46
  and
• 26:46
  it's
• 26:47
  more
• 26:47
  common
• 26:47
  than
• 26:47
  you
• 26:48
  might
• 26:48
  think,
• 26:49
  that
• 26:49
  will
• 26:49
  sit
• 26:49
  there
• 26:49
  and
• 26:50
  have
• 26:50
  those
• 26:50
  preloaded
• 26:51
  on
• 26:51
  their
• 26:51
  machine.
• 26:52
  Oh,
• 26:52
  look
• 26:52
  at
• 26:52
  this.
• 26:53
  Mr.
• 26:53
  And
• 26:53
  Mrs.
• 26:53
  Smith,
• 26:54
  you
• 26:55
  have
• 26:55
  got
• 26:56
  roots
• 26:56
  coming
• 26:56
  in.
• 26:57
  They
• 26:57
  go
• 26:58
  over
• 26:58
  to
• 26:58
  wherever
• 26:58
  that
• 26:59
  tree
• 26:59
  is
• 27:00
  in
• 27:00
  the
• 27:00
  yard
• 27:00
  and
• 27:01
  go,
• 27:01
  wow,
• 27:01
  we've
• 27:02
  got
• 27:02
  to
• 27:02
  take
• 27:02
  care
• 27:02
  of
• 27:02
  this.
• 27:03
  And
• 27:03
  now
• 27:03
  you're
• 27:04
  into
• 27:04
  thousands
• 27:05
  and
• 27:05
  thousands
• 27:06
  of
• 27:06
  dollars
• 27:06
  of
• 27:06
  bills.
• 27:07
  That
• 27:07
  can
• 27:08
  be
• 27:08
  a
• 27:08
  huge
• 27:08
  problem.
• 27:09
  So
• 27:10
  make
• 27:10
  sure
• 27:11
  that
• 27:11
  you're
• 27:12
  paying
• 27:12
  attention.
• 27:13
  I
• 27:13
  go
• 27:13
  out
• 27:13
  and
• 27:13
  stand
• 27:14
  with
• 27:14
  them
• 27:15
  because
• 27:15
  you
• 27:15
  just
• 27:15
  don't
• 27:16
  know
• 27:16
  what,
• 27:17
  who
• 27:17
  they
• 27:17
  are,
• 27:18
  what
• 27:18
  they
• 27:18
  are.
• 27:19
  Now
• 27:19
  I
• 27:19
  know
• 27:19
  what
• 27:20
  my
• 27:20
  sewer
• 27:20
  line
• 27:20
  looks
• 27:20
  like,
• 27:20
  so
• 27:21
  I've
• 27:21
  seen
• 27:21
  a
• 27:21
  couple
• 27:21
  scopes
• 27:21
  of
• 27:22
  it.
• 27:22
  But
• 27:22
  I
• 27:22
  stand
• 27:22
  there
• 27:22
  with
• 27:22
  them
• 27:23
  and
• 27:23
  say,
• 27:23
  put
• 27:23
  it
• 27:23
  down.
• 27:24
  You
• 27:24
  could
• 27:24
  see
• 27:25
  the
• 27:25
  camera
• 27:26
  go
• 27:26
  down
• 27:27
  through
• 27:27
  the
• 27:28
  clean
• 27:28
  out,
• 27:28
  through
• 27:29
  the
• 27:29
  toilet,
• 27:29
  whatever
• 27:29
  they're
• 27:30
  doing,
• 27:30
  you
• 27:30
  can
• 27:30
  see
• 27:31
  them
• 27:31
  do
• 27:31
  that.
• 27:31
  Then
• 27:31
  you
• 27:32
  know
• 27:32
  you're
• 27:32
  looking
• 27:32
  at
• 27:32
  the
• 27:32
  right
• 27:32
  one.
• 27:33
  It's
• 27:34
  when
• 27:34
  you're
• 27:34
  staying
• 27:34
  inside
• 27:35
  and
• 27:35
  they
• 27:35
  come
• 27:35
  in
• 27:35
  and
• 27:36
  they
• 27:36
  show
• 27:36
  you
• 27:36
  a
• 27:36
  video
• 27:37
  that
• 27:37
  you
• 27:37
  have
• 27:37
  no
• 27:37
  idea
• 27:38
  about.
• 27:39
  That's
• 27:39
  when
• 27:39
  I
• 27:39
  get
• 27:40
  worried
• 27:40
  that
• 27:41
  you
• 27:41
  might
• 27:41
  not
• 27:41
  see
• 27:41
  exactly
• 27:42
  what's
• 27:42
  going
• 27:42
  on.
• 27:43
  That
• 27:44
  can
• 27:44
  be
• 27:44
  a
• 27:44
  pretty
• 27:44
  big
• 27:44
  problem.
• 27:45
  So
• 27:45
  just
• 27:45
  keep
• 27:45
  an
• 27:46
  eye
• 27:46
  on
• 27:46
  that.
• 27:46
  That
• 27:46
  is
• 27:46
  one
• 27:47
  of
• 27:47
  the
• 27:47
  big
• 27:47
  scams
• 27:47
  out
• 27:47
  there.
• 27:48
  I
• 27:49
  have
• 27:49
  seen
• 27:49
  plumbers,
• 27:50
  when
• 27:50
  you
• 27:50
  put
• 27:51
  them
• 27:51
  on
• 27:51
  call
• 27:51
  like
• 27:51
  that,
• 27:52
  charge
• 27:53
  800,
• 27:54
  $900
• 27:55
  for
• 27:55
  what's
• 27:55
  a
• 27:55
  20
• 27:56
  minute
• 27:56
  project.
• 27:57
  So
• 27:57
  make
• 27:57
  sure
• 27:58
  and
• 27:58
  understand
• 27:59
  what's
• 27:59
  going
• 27:59
  on
• 27:59
  with
• 28:00
  your
• 28:00
  project
• 28:01
  and
• 28:01
  give
• 28:01
  it
• 28:01
  the
• 28:02
  smell
• 28:02
  test
• 28:02
  on
• 28:02
  what
• 28:02
  you
• 28:03
  know.
• 28:03
  Plumbers
• 28:04
  are
• 28:04
  charging
• 28:04
  a
• 28:04
  couple
• 28:04
  hundred
• 28:05
  bucks
• 28:05
  an
• 28:05
  hour
• 28:05
  in
• 28:05
  most
• 28:05
  places
• 28:06
  out
• 28:06
  there.
• 28:06
  Pretty
• 28:06
  easy.
• 28:08
  So
• 28:08
  it's
• 28:08
  expensive
• 28:09
  and
• 28:10
  it's
• 28:10
  going
• 28:10
  to
• 28:10
  get
• 28:10
  worse
• 28:11
  so
• 28:12
  the
• 28:12
  trades
• 28:12
  get
• 28:12
  more
• 28:13
  expensive.
• 28:13
  We
• 28:13
  have
• 28:14
  failed,
• 28:15
  as
• 28:15
  we
• 28:15
  know,
• 28:15
  in
• 28:15
  many
• 28:16
  of
• 28:16
  the
• 28:16
  school
• 28:16
  systems
• 28:16
  out
• 28:17
  there,
• 28:17
  to
• 28:17
  not
• 28:17
  train
• 28:17
  people.
• 28:18
  And
• 28:19
  a
• 28:19
  good
• 28:19
  licensed
• 28:20
  plumber,
• 28:20
  a
• 28:20
  good
• 28:21
  licensed
• 28:21
  electrician,
• 28:23
  a
• 28:23
  good
• 28:23
  carpenter,
• 28:24
  these
• 28:25
  are
• 28:25
  people
• 28:25
  that
• 28:25
  are
• 28:25
  making
• 28:26
  H
• 28:26

• 28:27
  These
• 28:27
  are
• 28:27
  people
• 28:28
  that
• 28:28
  are
• 28:28
  making
• 28:28
  premium
• 28:29
  dollars
• 28:29
  now.
• 28:30
  It's
• 28:30
  like
• 28:30
  your
• 28:30
  mechanic
• 28:31
  when
• 28:32
  you
• 28:32
  go
• 28:32
  get
• 28:32
  something
• 28:32
  fixed.
• 28:33
  Yeah,
• 28:33
  there's.
• 28:33
  There
• 28:33
  could
• 28:33
  be
• 28:33
  easily
• 28:34
  a
• 28:34
  couple
• 28:34
  hundred
• 28:34
  bucks
• 28:35
  on
• 28:35
  there
• 28:35
  per
• 28:36
  hour.
• 28:36
  That
• 28:37
  adds
• 28:37
  up
• 28:37
  quick.
• 28:38
  All
• 28:38
  right,
• 28:38
  next
• 28:39
  up
• 28:39
  on
• 28:39
  the
• 28:39
  list,
• 28:39
  Guys,
• 28:40
  is
• 28:40
  a
• 28:40
  big
• 28:40
  one
• 28:40
  here.
• 28:40
  And
• 28:41
  it
• 28:41
  relates
• 28:41
  back
• 28:41
  to
• 28:42
  that
• 28:42
  foundation
• 28:43
  company
• 28:43
  we
• 28:43
  were
• 28:43
  talking
• 28:43
  about
• 28:44
  earlier
• 28:44
  in
• 28:44
  those
• 28:44
  scams.
• 28:45
  High
• 28:46
  pressure
• 28:46
  sales.
• 28:47
  What
• 28:48
  I
• 28:48
  mean
• 28:48
  is,
• 28:48
  they
• 28:48
  come
• 28:49
  out,
• 28:49
  whether
• 28:49
  it's
• 28:50
  roofing,
• 28:50
  H
• 28:51
  vac
• 28:52
  foundations,
• 28:53
  huge
• 28:53
  duct
• 28:54
  cleaning's
• 28:54
  huge,
• 28:55
  companies
• 28:55
  out
• 28:55
  there
• 28:55
  that
• 28:56
  are
• 28:56
  in
• 28:56
  your
• 28:56
  house
• 28:57
  giving
• 28:57
  you
• 28:57
  a
• 28:57
  presentation,
• 28:58
  they
• 28:59
  give
• 28:59
  you
• 28:59
  a
• 28:59
  quote,
• 28:59
  they
• 29:00
  do
• 29:00
  stuff,
• 29:00
  they
• 29:01
  get
• 29:01
  it
• 29:01
  all
• 29:01
  dialed
• 29:02
  in
• 29:02
  and
• 29:03
  now
• 29:04
  they
• 29:04
  put
• 29:04
  the
• 29:04
  sale
• 29:05
  on,
• 29:05
  they
• 29:06
  sit
• 29:06
  down,
• 29:06
  they
• 29:06
  give
• 29:07
  you
• 29:07
  all
• 29:07
  the
• 29:07
  paperwork,
• 29:07
  which
• 29:08
  a
• 29:08
  lot
• 29:08
  of
• 29:08
  it's
• 29:08
  required
• 29:09
  by
• 29:09
  law,
• 29:09
  depending
• 29:10
  on
• 29:10
  where
• 29:10
  you're
• 29:10
  located.
• 29:11
  That's
• 29:12
  not
• 29:12
  where
• 29:12
  the
• 29:12
  problem
• 29:12
  is.
• 29:13
  The
• 29:13
  problem
• 29:14
  is
• 29:14
  they
• 29:14
  hit
• 29:14
  you
• 29:14
  up
• 29:14
  with
• 29:15
  fear.
• 29:15
  Oh,
• 29:15
  my
• 29:15
  gosh,
• 29:16
  your
• 29:16
  house
• 29:16
  is
• 29:16
  going
• 29:16
  to
• 29:16
  fall
• 29:17
  in
• 29:17
  around
• 29:17
  you.
• 29:18
  Now,
• 29:18
  maybe
• 29:19
  it
• 29:19
  is
• 29:20
  not
• 29:20
  there
• 29:20
  to
• 29:21
  look
• 29:21
  at
• 29:21
  your
• 29:21
  house,
• 29:21
  but
• 29:22
  take
• 29:23
  that
• 29:23
  with
• 29:23
  a
• 29:23
  grain
• 29:23
  of
• 29:24
  salt.
• 29:24
  The
• 29:25
  biggest
• 29:25
  one.
• 29:26
  That
• 29:27
  is
• 29:27
  my
• 29:28
  number
• 29:28
  one
• 29:28
  warning
• 29:29
  sign
• 29:29
  that
• 29:29
  you
• 29:29
  should
• 29:30
  smell
• 29:31
  test.
• 29:32
  All
• 29:32
  right,
• 29:33
  Mr.
• 29:33
  And
• 29:33
  Mrs.
• 29:34
  Smith,
• 29:34
  if
• 29:34
  you
• 29:35
  sign
• 29:35
  today,
• 29:36
  I'm
• 29:36
  gonna
• 29:37
  give
• 29:37
  you
• 29:38
  35%
• 29:39
  off.
• 29:40
  Yep.
• 29:41
  Sign
• 29:41
  today
• 29:42
  only.
• 29:42
  I
• 29:42
  don't
• 29:42
  want
• 29:43
  you
• 29:43
  to
• 29:43
  think
• 29:43
  about
• 29:43
  it
• 29:43
  because
• 29:44
  you're
• 29:44
  probably
• 29:45
  gonna
• 29:45
  get
• 29:45
  bids
• 29:45
  are
• 29:45
  gonna
• 29:46
  be
• 29:46
  a
• 29:46
  lot
• 29:46
  less
• 29:46
  because
• 29:46
  I
• 29:47
  just
• 29:47
  marked
• 29:47
  it
• 29:47
  up
• 29:47
  35%.
• 29:49
  But
• 29:49
  if
• 29:49
  you
• 29:50
  sign
• 29:50
  now,
• 29:50
  I'm
• 29:50
  gonna
• 29:50
  give
• 29:50
  you
• 29:51
  35%
• 29:51
  off.
• 29:52
  Lock
• 29:52
  in
• 29:52
  and
• 29:52
  we
• 29:52
  get
• 29:52
  going
• 29:53
  next
• 29:53
  week
• 29:53
  on
• 29:53
  it.
• 29:54
  That's
• 29:54
  my
• 29:54
  biggest
• 29:55
  warning
• 29:55
  sign
• 29:55
  out
• 29:55
  there.
• 29:56
  When
• 29:56
  I
• 29:57
  see
• 29:57
  all
• 29:57
  of
• 29:58
  that,
• 29:59
  man,
• 29:59
  that
• 29:59
  just
• 30:00
  scares
• 30:01
  me.
• 30:01
  When
• 30:02
  your
• 30:02
  arm
• 30:02
  twist
• 30:02
  goes.
• 30:03
  That's
• 30:04
  when
• 30:04
  I
• 30:04
  walk
• 30:04
  away.
• 30:05
  That's
• 30:05
  when
• 30:06
  I
• 30:06
  go,
• 30:06
  ooh,
• 30:07
  this
• 30:07
  is
• 30:07
  not
• 30:08
  smelling
• 30:08
  good.
• 30:09
  That's
• 30:09
  when
• 30:09
  I
• 30:09
  want
• 30:10
  to
• 30:10
  get
• 30:10
  more
• 30:10
  bids.
• 30:11
  That's
• 30:11
  when
• 30:11
  I
• 30:12
  wonder,
• 30:12
  God,
• 30:12
  why
• 30:12
  are
• 30:12
  they
• 30:13
  trying
• 30:13
  to
• 30:13
  push
• 30:13
  me
• 30:13
  into
• 30:14
  today?
• 30:15
  And
• 30:15
  if
• 30:15
  you
• 30:15
  can't
• 30:16
  stop
• 30:16
  and
• 30:16
  think
• 30:16
  about
• 30:17
  it,
• 30:17
  hard
• 30:18
  pass.
• 30:19
  If
• 30:19
  I
• 30:19
  go,
• 30:19
  hey,
• 30:19
  I
• 30:19
  want
• 30:20
  72
• 30:21
  hours
• 30:22
  so
• 30:22
  I
• 30:22
  can
• 30:22
  review
• 30:22
  this
• 30:23
  review.
• 30:23
  You
• 30:24
  get
• 30:24
  a
• 30:25
  second
• 30:25
  opinion.
• 30:26
  They
• 30:26
  can't
• 30:26
  honor
• 30:27
  that
• 30:27
  in
• 30:27
  that
• 30:27
  price.
• 30:28
  Walk
• 30:28
  away.
• 30:29
  It's
• 30:29
  not
• 30:30
  going
• 30:30
  to
• 30:30
  be
• 30:30
  your
• 30:30
  best
• 30:30
  deal.
• 30:31
  I
• 30:31
  can
• 30:31
  just
• 30:32
  about
• 30:32
  promise
• 30:32
  you
• 30:33
  that
• 30:33
  you
• 30:34
  are
• 30:34
  about
• 30:34
  to
• 30:34
  get
• 30:35
  taken
• 30:36
  when
• 30:36
  you
• 30:36
  see
• 30:36
  that
• 30:37
  happening.
• 30:37
  So
• 30:38
  that's
• 30:38
  a
• 30:38
  big
• 30:38
  one.
• 30:39
  Next
• 30:39
  one
• 30:39
  are
• 30:40
  handyman
• 30:40
  scams.
• 30:41
  This
• 30:41
  is
• 30:42
  a
• 30:42
  big
• 30:42
  one
• 30:42
  out
• 30:42
  there,
• 30:42
  guys.
• 30:43
  Handyman
• 30:44
  scams.
• 30:44
  These
• 30:45
  are
• 30:45
  the
• 30:45
  people
• 30:45
  that
• 30:45
  you
• 30:46
  get
• 30:46
  off
• 30:46
  of
• 30:47
  next
• 30:47
  door,
• 30:48
  Craigslist,
• 30:49
  Facebook
• 30:49
  Marketplace.
• 30:51
  Meet
• 30:51
  somebody
• 30:51
  at
• 30:52
  Home
• 30:52
  Depot
• 30:52
  or
• 30:52
  Lowe's
• 30:53
  walking
• 30:54
  around.
• 30:54
  They
• 30:55
  take
• 30:55
  your
• 30:55
  money,
• 30:56
  they
• 30:56
  don't
• 30:56
  do
• 30:57
  it
• 30:57
  right.
• 30:58
  It's
• 30:58
  a
• 30:58
  project
• 30:59
  that
• 30:59
  should
• 30:59
  have
• 30:59
  a
• 30:59
  licensed
• 31:00
  contractor,
• 31:00
  maybe
• 31:01
  license
• 31:01
  electrician,
• 31:03
  licensed
• 31:03
  plumber.
• 31:04
  And
• 31:04
  they're
• 31:04
  in
• 31:05
  there
• 31:05
  trying
• 31:05
  to
• 31:05
  do
• 31:05
  their
• 31:06
  best
• 31:06
  homeowner
• 31:07
  special
• 31:07
  for
• 31:08
  you.
• 31:09
  Rarely
• 31:10
  do
• 31:10
  handyman
• 31:11
  payoff.
• 31:12
  Now,
• 31:12
  there
• 31:12
  are
• 31:12
  some
• 31:13
  great
• 31:13
  handyman
• 31:13
  companies
• 31:14
  out
• 31:14
  there
• 31:15
  that'll
• 31:15
  put
• 31:15
  the
• 31:15
  closet
• 31:16
  shelf
• 31:16
  up,
• 31:17
  help
• 31:17
  hang
• 31:17
  the
• 31:17
  TV
• 31:18
  up.
• 31:18
  They'll
• 31:19
  tackle
• 31:19
  those
• 31:19
  little
• 31:20
  projects,
• 31:20
  touching
• 31:21
  up
• 31:21
  some
• 31:21
  wood,
• 31:22
  doing
• 31:22
  some
• 31:23
  stuff
• 31:23
  like
• 31:23
  that.
• 31:24
  I
• 31:24
  get
• 31:24
  it.
• 31:25
  Projects
• 31:26
  that
• 31:26
  are
• 31:26
  too
• 31:26
  small
• 31:27
  for
• 31:28
  a
• 31:28
  general
• 31:28
  contractor
• 31:29
  to
• 31:29
  come
• 31:29
  do.
• 31:30
  And
• 31:30
  yes,
• 31:30
  there
• 31:31
  are
• 31:31
  some
• 31:31
  amazing
• 31:31
  handymen
• 31:32
  out
• 31:32
  there.
• 31:33
  There's
• 31:33
  also
• 31:34
  some
• 31:34
  people
• 31:34
  out
• 31:34
  there
• 31:35
  that
• 31:35
  have
• 31:35
  absolutely
• 31:36
  no
• 31:36
  skills
• 31:37
  that
• 31:37
  literally
• 31:38
  watch
• 31:38
  some
• 31:38
  YouTube
• 31:38
  videos
• 31:39
  and
• 31:39
  a
• 31:39
  little
• 31:39
  HDTV
• 31:40
  and
• 31:40
  now
• 31:40
  they
• 31:40
  think
• 31:40
  they're
• 31:41
  a
• 31:41
  handyman.
• 31:42
  So
• 31:42
  you
• 31:42
  got
• 31:42
  to
• 31:42
  be
• 31:42
  really
• 31:43
  careful.
• 31:43
  Do
• 31:44
  your
• 31:44
  research,
• 31:45
  find
• 31:45
  out
• 31:45
  what's
• 31:46
  going
• 31:46
  on.
• 31:47
  See
• 31:47
  if
• 31:47
  there's
• 31:47
  a
• 31:48
  company,
• 31:48
  your
• 31:48
  area
• 31:48
  that
• 31:49
  has
• 31:49
  pros
• 31:49
  that
• 31:49
  they've
• 31:50
  hired,
• 31:50
  who's
• 31:51
  got
• 31:51
  the
• 31:51
  best
• 31:51
  reputation.
• 31:52
  Do
• 31:53
  that
• 31:53
  homework.
• 31:54
  Because
• 31:54
  I
• 31:54
  tell
• 31:55
  you
• 31:55
  what,
• 31:55
  this
• 31:56
  can
• 31:56
  get
• 31:56
  really
• 31:57
  ugly.
• 31:57
  I've
• 31:58
  got
• 31:58
  a

  good
• 31:58
  body.
• 31:58
  He
• 31:59
  just
• 31:59
  hired
• 31:59
  a
• 31:59
  handyman
• 32:00
  to
• 32:00
  come
• 32:00
  in
• 32:00
  and
• 32:00
  do
• 32:00
  stuff,
• 32:01
  and
• 32:01
  what
• 32:01
  did
• 32:01
  he
• 32:01
  have
• 32:01
  to
• 32:01
  do?
• 32:02
  Tear
• 32:02
  it
• 32:03
  all
• 32:03
  out
• 32:03
  and
• 32:04
  do
• 32:04
  it
• 32:04
  over
• 32:04
  again.
• 32:05
  Now,
• 32:05
  in
• 32:05
  my
• 32:05
  area,
• 32:06
  we've
• 32:06
  got
• 32:06
  a
• 32:06
  lot
• 32:06
  of
• 32:06
  great
• 32:06
  handyman
• 32:07
  companies.
• 32:07
  We've
• 32:08
  got
• 32:08
  some
• 32:08
  contractors
• 32:09
  that
• 32:09
  have
• 32:09
  handyman
• 32:09
  divisions.
• 32:10
  We've
• 32:10
  got
• 32:11
  an
• 32:11
  ace
• 32:11
  hardware
• 32:12
  handyman
• 32:13
  that
• 32:13
  I've
• 32:13
  had
• 32:14
  good
• 32:14
  reviews
• 32:14
  on
• 32:14
  in
• 32:15
  my
• 32:15
  area.
• 32:16
  So
• 32:16
  take
• 32:16
  a
• 32:16
  look
• 32:17
  around,
• 32:17
  find
• 32:17
  the
• 32:17
  right
• 32:18
  people
• 32:18
  and
• 32:18
  get
• 32:18

• 32:18
  right
• 32:19
  job
• 32:19
  for
• 32:19
  them.
• 32:20
  So
• 32:20
  that
• 32:20
  way
• 32:20
  you're
• 32:21
  not
• 32:21
  having
• 32:21
  to
• 32:21
  pay
• 32:21
  twice
• 32:22
  as
• 32:22
  bad
• 32:22
  because
• 32:22
  you're
• 32:22
  wasting
• 32:23
  materials,
• 32:23
  you're
• 32:23

• 32:23

• 32:24
  and
• 32:24
  it
• 32:24
  always

  you
• 32:25
  more

  when
• 32:25
  you

  which

  is

  at

• 34:01
  work
• 34:02
  where
• 34:02
  I'm
• 34:02
  gonna
• 34:02
  probably
• 34:02
  need
• 34:03
  some
• 34:03
  more
• 34:03
  clothes
• 34:03
  here
• 34:03
  soon.
• 34:04
  The
• 34:04
  way
• 34:04
  I'm
• 34:04
  going,
• 34:05
  but
• 34:05
  feeling
• 34:06
  good,
• 34:06
  feeling
• 34:07
  better.
• 34:07
  When
• 34:08
  saw
• 34:08
  my
• 34:08
  doc
• 34:09
  got
• 34:09
  some
• 34:09
  blood
• 34:10
  test
• 34:10
  work
• 34:10
  and
• 34:10
  went,
• 34:11
  wow,
• 34:11
  I
• 34:11
  am
• 34:11
  missing
• 34:12
  a
• 34:12
  ton
• 34:12
  of
• 34:12
  vitamins.
• 34:12
  I
• 34:13
  am
• 34:13
  not
• 34:13
  a
• 34:13
  vitamin
• 34:13
  supplement
• 34:14
  person.
• 34:14
  I've
• 34:15
  never
• 34:15
  been
• 34:15
  that
• 34:16
  got
• 34:16
  on
• 34:16
  some
• 34:17
  vitamins
• 34:18
  as
• 34:18
  prescribed
• 34:19
  by
• 34:19
  the
• 34:19
  doc.
• 34:20
  It
• 34:20
  has
• 34:21
  made
• 34:21
  a
• 34:21
  huge
• 34:21
  difference
• 34:23
  in
• 34:23
  how
• 34:23
  I
• 34:23
  feel.
• 34:24
  My
• 34:24
  body
• 34:25
  taking
• 34:25
  on
• 34:25
  projects,
• 34:27
  my
• 34:27
  mental
• 34:27
  attitude.
• 34:28
  Amazing
• 34:29
  how
• 34:29
  much
• 34:29
  better
• 34:30
  I
• 34:30
  feel.
• 34:31
  So
• 34:31
  hopefully
• 34:31
  I
• 34:31
  can
• 34:32
  inspire
• 34:32
  some
• 34:32
  of
• 34:32
  you
• 34:32
  out
• 34:33
  there
• 34:33
  on
• 34:34
  getting
• 34:34
  yourself
• 34:34
  dialed
• 34:35
  in.
• 34:35
  Feeling
• 34:36
  good
• 34:36
  and
• 34:37
  really
• 34:38
  just
• 34:39
  cutting
• 34:39
  back
• 34:39
  a
• 34:39
  little
• 34:40
  bit.
• 34:40
  It's
• 34:40
  nice
• 34:40
  when
• 34:40
  I
• 34:41
  go
• 34:41
  out
• 34:41
  to
• 34:41
  dinner,
• 34:41
  I
• 34:41
  don't
• 34:41
  have
• 34:41
  to.
• 34:42
  I
• 34:42
  can
• 34:42
  still
• 34:42
  eat
• 34:43
  stuff.
• 34:43
  Last
• 34:44
  week
• 34:44
  I
• 34:44
  was
• 34:44
  in
• 34:44
  Las
• 34:44
  Vegas
• 34:45
  having
• 34:46
  a
• 34:46
  good
• 34:46
  time.
• 34:47
  Had
• 34:47
  a
• 34:48
  cocktail
• 34:48
  here
• 34:48
  and
• 34:48
  there,
• 34:49
  Had
• 34:50
  a
• 34:50
  great
• 34:50
  steak
• 34:51
  dinner.
• 34:51
  But
• 34:52
  it's
• 34:52
  just
• 34:52
  all
• 34:52
  in
• 34:52
  moderation.
• 34:53
  So
• 34:53
  hopefully
• 34:54
  I
• 34:54
  can
• 34:54
  inspire
• 34:54
  you
• 34:54
  to
• 34:55
  get
• 34:55
  healthier
• 34:55
  out
• 34:55
  there.
• 34:56
  Doesn't
• 34:57
  take
• 34:57
  all
• 34:57
  this
• 34:57
  crazy
• 34:58
  stuff,
• 34:59
  just
• 34:59
  thinking
• 35:00
  about
• 35:00
  what
• 35:00
  you're
• 35:00
  doing
• 35:01
  and
• 35:01
  not
• 35:02
  putting
• 35:02
  too
• 35:02
  much
• 35:02
  food
• 35:02
  in
• 35:02
  your
• 35:03
  face.
• 35:03
  It's
• 35:03
  really
• 35:04
  that
• 35:04
  simple.
• 35:04
  And
• 35:05
  yeah,
• 35:05
  it's
• 35:06
  a
• 35:06
  battle
• 35:06
  that
• 35:06
  I've
• 35:06
  been
• 35:06
  battling
• 35:07
  for
• 35:07
  30
• 35:07
  years,
• 35:08
  finally
• 35:08
  getting
• 35:08
  under
• 35:08
  control.
• 35:09
  So
• 35:09
  it's
• 35:10
  taken
• 35:10
  me
• 35:10
  a
• 35:10
  lot.
• 35:11
  It's
• 35:11
  really
• 35:11
  not
• 35:12
  that
• 35:12
  simple,
• 35:12
  but
• 35:12
  it
• 35:13
  is.
• 35:13
  The
• 35:13
  first
• 35:14
  step
• 35:14
  is
• 35:14
  just
• 35:14
  cutting
• 35:15
  back.
• 35:15
  So
• 35:16
  hopefully
• 35:17
  I
• 35:17
  can
• 35:17
  inspire
• 35:17
  you
• 35:18
  to
• 35:18
  take
• 35:18
  better
• 35:18
  care
• 35:18
  of
• 35:18
  yourself.
• 35:19
  So
• 35:19
  these
• 35:20
  projects
• 35:20
  are
• 35:20
  a
• 35:20
  little
• 35:20
  bit
• 35:20
  easier.
• 35:21
  Trust
• 35:21
  me.
• 35:21
  Losing
• 35:21
  weight,
• 35:22
  getting
• 35:22
  in
• 35:22
  that
• 35:22
  crawl
• 35:22
  space.
• 35:23
  It's
• 35:23
  nice.
• 35:24
  All
• 35:24
  right,
• 35:24
  let's
• 35:25
  get
• 35:25
  back
• 35:25
  to
• 35:25
  our
• 35:25
  top
• 35:25
  10
• 35:25
  contractor
• 35:26
  scams
• 35:26
  for
• 35:26
  2025.
• 35:28
  Here's
• 35:28
  the
• 35:28
  next
• 35:29
  one,
• 35:29
  which
• 35:29
  is
• 35:29
  big
• 35:30
  contractors
• 35:31
  under
• 35:31
  bidding
• 35:32
  and
• 35:32
  using
• 35:32
  change
• 35:33
  orders
• 35:33
  to
• 35:33
  make
• 35:33
  up
• 35:33
  for
• 35:34
  it.
• 35:34
  Inexperienced
• 35:35
  new
• 35:36
  contractors
• 35:37
  that
• 35:37
  don't
• 35:38
  understand
• 35:38
  a
• 35:38
  project
• 35:39
  are
• 35:40
  likely
• 35:41
  or
• 35:41
  more
• 35:41
  likely
• 35:42
  to
• 35:42
  underbid
• 35:43
  the
• 35:43
  project.
• 35:44
  And
• 35:44
  there
• 35:45
  are
• 35:45
  contractors
• 35:46
  out
• 35:46
  there
• 35:46
  that
• 35:46
  underbid
• 35:47
  to
• 35:47
  be
• 35:47
  the
• 35:47
  cheapest
• 35:48
  bidder
• 35:49
  and
• 35:49
  then
• 35:49
  hit
• 35:49
  you
• 35:49
  up
• 35:49
  with
• 35:50
  change
• 35:50
  orders
• 35:50
  along
• 35:50
  the
• 35:51
  way.
• 35:51
  And
• 35:51
  they
• 35:51
  make
• 35:51
  their
• 35:52
  money
• 35:52
  back
• 35:52
  there.
• 35:52
  Oh,
• 35:53
  my
• 35:53
  gosh,
• 35:54
  we
• 35:54
  gotta
• 35:54
  do
• 35:54
  that.
• 35:55
  We
• 35:55
  found
• 35:55
  some
• 35:55
  dry
• 35:56
  rot
• 35:56
  just
• 35:56
  like
• 35:56
  you
• 35:56
  see
• 35:56
  on
• 35:57
  HDTV.
• 35:58
  It
• 35:58
  might
• 35:58
  be
• 35:58
  500
• 35:59
  bucks
• 35:59
  to
• 35:59
  fix
• 35:59
  it,
• 35:59
  but
• 35:59
  they're
• 35:59
  gonna
• 36:00
  hit
• 36:00
  you
• 36:00
  for
• 36:00
  a
• 36:00
  thousand
• 36:00
  because
• 36:01
  they
• 36:01
  underbid
• 36:01
  you
• 36:01
  on
• 36:01
  the
• 36:01
  front
• 36:02
  end
• 36:02
  and
• 36:03
  they
• 36:03
  make
• 36:03
  their
• 36:03
  money
• 36:03
  on
• 36:03
  the
• 36:03
  change
• 36:04
  order.
• 36:04
  So
• 36:04
  be
• 36:04
  very
• 36:05
  careful.
• 36:06
  Ask
• 36:06
  what
• 36:06
  the
• 36:07
  markup
• 36:07
  is.
• 36:08
  Are
• 36:08
  you
• 36:08
  guys
• 36:08
  gonna
• 36:09
  kill
• 36:09
  me
• 36:09
  on
• 36:09
  a
• 36:09
  change
• 36:09
  order?
• 36:10
  Make
• 36:10
  sure
• 36:11
  you're
• 36:11
  not
• 36:11
  getting
• 36:11
  that
• 36:11
  lowest
• 36:12
  bidder.
• 36:12
  Be
• 36:13
  very
• 36:13
  careful.
• 36:14
  And
• 36:15
  you
• 36:15
  want
• 36:15
  somebody
• 36:15
  that's
• 36:15
  an
• 36:16
  experienced
• 36:16
  contractor.
• 36:17
  Now,
• 36:18
  many
• 36:18
  times,
• 36:19
  and
• 36:19
  I've
• 36:19
  seen
• 36:19
  this
• 36:20
  a
• 36:20
  lot
• 36:20
  now,
• 36:20
  there's
• 36:21
  exceptions
• 36:21
  to
• 36:21
  that,
• 36:21
  but
• 36:21
  many
• 36:22
  times
• 36:22
  the
• 36:22
  home
• 36:22
  improvement
• 36:23
  stores
• 36:23
  will
• 36:23
  have
• 36:24
  their
• 36:24
  contractor
• 36:24
  people
• 36:25
  in
• 36:25
  there
• 36:25
  because
• 36:25
  they're
• 36:25
  marking
• 36:26
  it
• 36:26
  up.
• 36:26
  And
• 36:26
  then
• 36:26
  Home
• 36:27
  Depot
• 36:27
  or
• 36:27
  Lowe's
• 36:27
  is
• 36:28
  marking
• 36:28
  it
• 36:28
  up.
• 36:28
  However
• 36:29
  that
• 36:29
  stuff
• 36:29
  works,
• 36:29
  you
• 36:29
  got
• 36:30
  to
• 36:30
  be
• 36:30
  a
• 36:30
  little
• 36:30
  careful
• 36:30
  in
• 36:31
  there
• 36:31
  because
• 36:31
  many
• 36:31
  times
• 36:32
  the
• 36:32
  bigger
• 36:33
  contractors,
• 36:33
  the
• 36:34
  successful
• 36:34
  ones,
• 36:34
  won't
• 36:35
  work
• 36:35
  through
• 36:35
  there
• 36:35
  because
• 36:36
  it's
• 36:36
  a
• 36:37
  pain
• 36:37
  for
• 36:37
  them.
• 36:37
  But
• 36:38
  that's
• 36:38
  really
• 36:38
  the
• 36:39
  farm
• 36:39
  team
• 36:39
  for
• 36:39
  contractors
• 36:40
  that
• 36:40
  have
• 36:40
  gone
• 36:40
  out
• 36:41
  on
• 36:41
  their
• 36:41
  own.
• 36:41
  They
• 36:41
  get
• 36:42
  in
• 36:42
  there,
• 36:42
  they
• 36:43
  can
• 36:43
  make
• 36:43
  some
• 36:43
  money
• 36:44
  and
• 36:44
  they're
• 36:44
  in
• 36:44
  their
• 36:45
  chops
• 36:45
  and
• 36:45
  it's
• 36:45
  good.
• 36:46
  But
• 36:47
  that
• 36:47
  might
• 36:47
  not
• 36:47
  be
• 36:47
  the
• 36:48
  best
• 36:48
  place
• 36:48
  to
• 36:48
  find
• 36:48
  that
• 36:49
  contractor.
• 36:49
  So
• 36:50
  think
• 36:50
  about
• 36:50
  that
• 36:50
  one.
• 36:50
  That's
• 36:51
  a
• 36:51
  big
• 36:51
  one
• 36:51
  right
• 36:51
  there.
• 36:52
  So
• 36:52
  next
• 36:52
  one
• 36:53
  up
• 36:53
  here
• 36:54
  is
• 36:54
  a
• 36:54
  warning
• 36:54
  sign
• 36:55
  for
• 36:55
  me.
• 36:55
  And
• 36:55
  I
• 36:55
  know
• 36:55
  this
• 36:56
  is
• 36:56
  going
• 36:56
  to
• 36:56
  make
• 36:56
  some
• 36:56
  contractors
• 36:57
  mad,
• 36:57
  so
• 36:57
  I'll
• 36:58
  take
• 36:58
  the
• 36:58
  heat.
• 36:59
  Contractors
• 37:00
  making
• 37:00
  you
• 37:00
  purchase
• 37:00
  materials,
• 37:02
  I
• 37:02
  don't
• 37:02
  like
• 37:02
  that.
• 37:03
  I
• 37:03
  want
• 37:04
  that
• 37:04
  contractor
• 37:05
  to
• 37:05
  buy
• 37:05
  it,
• 37:06
  mark
• 37:06
  it
• 37:06
  up,
• 37:07
  use
• 37:07
  their
• 37:07
  discount.
• 37:08
  It'll
• 37:08
  kind
• 37:08
  of
• 37:08
  wash
• 37:09
  out
• 37:09
  on
• 37:09
  the
• 37:09
  end
• 37:09
  there.
• 37:10
  But
• 37:10
  when
• 37:10
  they
• 37:10
  do
• 37:11
  that,
• 37:11
  you're
• 37:11
  not
• 37:11
  the
• 37:11
  materials
• 37:12
  provider.
• 37:13
  And
• 37:13
  then
• 37:13
  they're
• 37:14
  now
• 37:14
  fully
• 37:15
  responsible
• 37:16
  for
• 37:16
  the
• 37:16
  warranty
• 37:17
  on
• 37:17
  that.
• 37:17
  If
• 37:18
  you
• 37:18
  buy
• 37:18
  the
• 37:18
  products,
• 37:19
  the
• 37:19
  contractor
• 37:20
  shows
• 37:20
  up
• 37:20
  and
• 37:21
  that
• 37:21
  toilet's
• 37:22
  defective.
• 37:22
  Guess
• 37:22
  what?
• 37:23
  You're
• 37:23
  now
• 37:23
  paying
• 37:23
  to
• 37:23
  have
• 37:23
  that
• 37:24
  replaced.
• 37:24
  Again,
• 37:25
  if
• 37:25
  they
• 37:25
  bought
• 37:25
  it,
• 37:26
  it's
• 37:27
  under
• 37:27
  their
• 37:27
  warranty
• 37:28
  or
• 37:28
  whatever
• 37:28
  the
• 37:28
  laws
• 37:28
  are
• 37:29
  in
• 37:29
  your
• 37:29
  state.
• 37:29
  So
• 37:30
  now
• 37:30
  they've
• 37:30
  got
• 37:31
  to
• 37:31
  stand
• 37:32
  behind
• 37:32
  the
• 37:32
  product
• 37:33
  and
• 37:34
  the
• 37:34
  material
• 37:35
  and
• 37:35
  the
• 37:36
  labor
• 37:36
  and
• 37:36
  all
• 37:36
  that
• 37:37
  stuff.
• 37:37
  So
• 37:38
  you
• 37:38
  are
• 37:38
  way
• 37:39
  better
• 37:39
  off
• 37:39
  having
• 37:39
  them
• 37:40
  buy
• 37:41
  it,
• 37:41
  install
• 37:42
  it
• 37:42
  than
• 37:43
  you
• 37:43
  going
• 37:43
  out
• 37:43
  to
• 37:44
  do
• 37:44
  that
• 37:45
  so
• 37:45
  many
• 37:45
  times.
• 37:46
  I
• 37:46
  get
• 37:47
  concerned
• 37:47
  as
• 37:47
  well,
• 37:48
  is
• 37:48
  that
• 37:48
  contractors
• 37:49
  in
• 37:49
  such
• 37:50
  a
• 37:50
  financial
• 37:50
  straight,
• 37:50
  they
• 37:51
  can't
• 37:51
  go
• 37:51
  buy
• 37:51
  it,
• 37:52
  they
• 37:52
  can't
• 37:53
  cure
• 37:53
  your
• 37:53
  project.
• 37:54
  So
• 37:54
  that's
• 37:54
  another
• 37:54
  one
• 37:55
  that
• 37:55
  makes
• 37:55
  me
• 37:55
  get
• 37:55
  nervous.
• 37:56
  So
• 37:56
  take
• 37:56
  some
• 37:57
  time,
• 37:58
  make
• 37:58
  sure
• 37:58
  that
• 37:58
  you
• 37:59
  hired
• 37:59
  the
• 37:59
  right
• 37:59
  people,
• 38:00
  that
• 38:00
  they're
• 38:00
  in
• 38:00
  good
• 38:00
  financial
• 38:01
  standing.
• 38:02
  And
• 38:02
  I
• 38:02
  want
• 38:02
  those
• 38:03
  materials
• 38:03
  to
• 38:03
  go
• 38:03
  through
• 38:03
  their
• 38:04
  books
• 38:05
  so
• 38:05
  they
• 38:05
  are
• 38:05
  covering
• 38:06
  the
• 38:06
  warranty.
• 38:07
  So
• 38:08
  take
• 38:08
  a
• 38:08
  look.
• 38:08
  Maybe
• 38:09
  it's
• 38:09
  six
• 38:09
  months,
• 38:09
  maybe
• 38:10
  it's
• 38:10
  a
• 38:10
  year,
• 38:10
  two
• 38:10
  years,
• 38:10
  three
• 38:11
  years,
• 38:11
  whatever
• 38:11
  that
• 38:11
  warranty
• 38:12
  is
• 38:12
  in
• 38:12
  your
• 38:12
  area,
• 38:13
  understand
• 38:13
  it.
• 38:14
  What's
• 38:14
  required
• 38:15
  by
• 38:15
  law.
• 38:16
  That
• 38:16
  way
• 38:16
  they
• 38:17
  stand
• 38:17
  behind
• 38:17
  the
• 38:17
  product
• 38:18
  and
• 38:18
  if
• 38:18
  something's
• 38:19
  wrong
• 38:19
  when
• 38:19
  it
• 38:19
  shows
• 38:20
  up,
• 38:20
  you're
• 38:20
  not
• 38:20
  having
• 38:20
  to
• 38:20
  go
• 38:21
  chase
• 38:21
  it
• 38:21
  down
• 38:21
  because
• 38:21
  you're
• 38:22
  in
• 38:22
  your
• 38:22
  busy
• 38:22
  workday.
• 38:23
  So
• 38:24
  take
• 38:24
  a
• 38:24
  look
• 38:24
  at
• 38:24
  that
• 38:24
  one.
• 38:25
  Could
• 38:25
  really
• 38:25
  help
• 38:26
  you
• 38:26
  out.
• 38:27
  That
• 38:27
  could
• 38:27
  save
• 38:27
  you
• 38:27
  a
• 38:27
  ton
• 38:28
  of
• 38:28
  money
• 38:28
  in
• 38:28
  the
• 38:28
  long
• 38:29
  run,
• 38:29
  especially
• 38:30
  when
• 38:30
  it
• 38:30
  comes
• 38:30
  to
• 38:31
  something
• 38:32
  that
• 38:32
  fails
• 38:32
  with
• 38:32
  plumbing,
• 38:33
  electrical,
• 38:33
  whatever,
• 38:34
  they're
• 38:34
  responsible
• 38:35
  for
• 38:35
  it.
• 38:35
  So
• 38:36
  that's
• 38:36
  another
• 38:36
  great
• 38:37
  tip
• 38:37
  for
• 38:37
  you
• 38:37
  right
• 38:37
  there.
• 38:38
  Now
• 38:39
  the
• 38:39
  last
• 38:39
  one
• 38:39
  here
• 38:39
  is
• 38:39
  a
• 38:40
  big
• 38:40
  one
• 38:40
  and
• 38:40
  I'm
• 38:40
  going
• 38:40
  to
• 38:40
  spend
• 38:41
  a
• 38:41
  few
• 38:41
  minutes
• 38:41
  on
• 38:41
  this.
• 38:42
  This
• 38:42
  is
• 38:43
  no
• 38:44
  detailed
• 38:45
  contract.
• 38:46
  Now,
• 38:46
  we've
• 38:46
  talked
• 38:47
  about
• 38:47
  this
• 38:47
  and
• 38:47
  how
• 38:47
  to
• 38:48
  hire
• 38:48
  a
• 38:48
  contractor.
• 38:48
  My
• 38:49
  top
• 38:49
  10
• 38:49
  questions
• 38:50
  for
• 38:50
  contractors
• 38:51
  before
• 38:51
  you
• 38:52
  hire
• 38:52
  them,
• 38:52
  it's
• 38:53
  all
• 38:53
  part
• 38:53
  of
• 38:53
  that.
• 38:54
  But
• 38:55
  the
• 38:55
  biggest
• 38:56
  thing
• 38:56
  that
• 38:56
  I
• 38:56
  see
• 38:56
  out
• 38:57
  there
• 38:57
  with
• 38:57
  this
• 38:57
  is
• 38:58
  contractors
• 38:58
  coming
• 38:58
  up
• 38:59
  going,
• 38:59
  all
• 38:59
  right,
• 38:59
  we're
• 38:59
  doing
• 38:59
  a
• 38:59
  kitchen
• 39:00
  model
• 39:00
  kitchen
• 39:00
  remodel,
• 39:01
  $82,000.
• 39:02
  New
• 39:02
  cabinets,
• 39:03
  countertops,
• 39:03
  appliances,
• 39:04
  flooring,
• 39:05
  electrical,
• 39:05
  lighting,
• 39:06
  whatever.
• 39:06
  I
• 39:07
  want
• 39:07
  to
• 39:07
  see
• 39:07
  the
• 39:07
  detail
• 39:08
  down
• 39:08
  to
• 39:08
  the
• 39:08
  knobs,
• 39:08
  I
• 39:09
  want
• 39:09
  to
• 39:09
  see
• 39:09
  the
• 39:09
  detail
• 39:10
  down
• 39:10
  to
• 39:10
  the
• 39:11
  backsplash
• 39:11
  tile.
• 39:12
  I
• 39:12
  want
• 39:12
  to
• 39:13
  know
• 39:13
  what's
• 39:13
  going
• 39:13
  in
• 39:13
  this
• 39:14
  project
• 39:14
  in
• 39:15
  that
• 39:15
  contract.
• 39:16
  That
• 39:16
  contract
• 39:17
  could
• 39:17
  be
• 39:17
  10
• 39:17
  pages
• 39:18
  and
• 39:19
  it
• 39:19
  better
• 39:19
  follow
• 39:19
  the
• 39:20
  contract
• 39:20
  law
• 39:21
  from
• 39:22
  your
• 39:22
  state
• 39:23
  and
• 39:23
  what's
• 39:24
  required
• 39:25
  from
• 39:26
  your
• 39:26
  state,
• 39:27
  state,
• 39:27
  local,
• 39:28
  whatever
• 39:29
  it
• 39:29
  is,
• 39:29
  contracting
• 39:30
  licenses.
• 39:31
  Like
• 39:31
  in
• 39:32
  my
• 39:32
  state,
• 39:32
  if
• 39:32
  you
• 39:32
  don't
• 39:33
  check
• 39:33
  the
• 39:33
  boxes
• 39:33
  on
• 39:34
  having
• 39:34
  the
• 39:34
  right
• 39:34
  contract
• 39:35
  and
• 39:35
  they
• 39:36
  catch
• 39:36
  it,
• 39:37
  you
• 39:37
  could
• 39:37
  get
• 39:37
  a,
• 39:38
  as
• 39:38
  a
• 39:38
  contractor,
• 39:39
  five
• 39:39
  thousand
• 39:39
  dollar
• 39:39
  fine
• 39:40
  for
• 39:40
  not
• 39:41
  having
• 39:41
  the
• 39:41
  correct
• 39:41
  contract.
• 39:42
  So
• 39:43
  that's
• 39:43
  there
• 39:43
  to
• 39:45
  protect
• 39:45
  you
• 39:45
  and
• 39:46
  to
• 39:46
  protect
• 39:46
  them
• 39:47
  from
• 39:47
  bad
• 39:48
  homeowners.
• 39:49
  So
• 39:49
  really,
• 39:50
  that
• 39:51
  contract
• 39:51
  should
• 39:51
  be
• 39:51
  detailed.
• 39:52
  It
• 39:52
  should
• 39:52
  show
• 39:53
  everything.
• 39:53
  It
• 39:53
  should
• 39:53
  show
• 39:54
  the
• 39:54
  quality
• 39:54
  materials.
• 39:55
  I
• 39:55
  don't
• 39:55
  want
• 39:55
  to
• 39:55
  see
• 39:56
  cabinet
• 39:56
  knobs,
• 39:56
  I
• 39:57
  want
• 39:57
  to
• 39:57
  see
• 39:58
  knobs
• 39:59
  allowance,
• 40:00
  $400
• 40:01
  so
• 40:02
  you
• 40:02
  can
• 40:02
  go
• 40:02
  through
• 40:02
  and
• 40:02
  go,
• 40:02
  wow,
• 40:03
  that's
• 40:03
  only
• 40:03
  two
• 40:03
  bucks
• 40:03
  a
• 40:03
  knob.
• 40:04
  That's
• 40:04
  not
• 40:04
  great.
• 40:05
  I'm
• 40:05
  gonna
• 40:05
  get
• 40:06
  $20,
• 40:07
  $40.
• 40:08
  Maybe
• 40:08
  you
• 40:08
  showed
• 40:08
  them
• 40:08
  the
• 40:09
  Baldwin
• 40:09
  ones
• 40:09
  which
• 40:10
  were
• 40:10
  Maybe
• 40:10
  it's
• 40:10
  a
• 40:10
  $20
• 40:11
  knob,
• 40:12
  it's
• 40:12
  brass,
• 40:13
  it's
• 40:13
  awesome.
• 40:14
  Maybe
• 40:14
  you're
• 40:15
  not
• 40:15
  thinking
• 40:15
  about
• 40:15
  getting
• 40:15
  the
• 40:15
  Home
• 40:16
  Depot
• 40:16
  special.
• 40:16
  That's
• 40:17
  the
• 40:17
  import
• 40:17
  one.
• 40:17
  That's
• 40:17
  the
• 40:18
  two
• 40:18
  dollar
• 40:18
  one.
• 40:19
  You
• 40:19
  want
• 40:19
  to
• 40:19
  make
• 40:20
  sure
• 40:20
  that
• 40:20
  those
• 40:20
  allowances
• 40:21
  are
• 40:21
  correct.
• 40:21
  If
• 40:21
  you
• 40:21
  haven't
• 40:22
  purchased
• 40:22
  stuff
• 40:23
  and
• 40:24
  that
• 40:24
  all
• 40:25
  the
• 40:25
  pieces
• 40:25
  are
• 40:25
  in
• 40:25
  there.
• 40:26
  The
• 40:26
  more
• 40:26
  detail
• 40:27
  to
• 40:27
  that
• 40:27
  estimate,
• 40:28
  the
• 40:28
  more
• 40:29
  you're
• 40:29
  protected
• 40:29
  and
• 40:30
  the
• 40:30
  more
• 40:30
  you
• 40:30
  guys
• 40:30
  are
• 40:30
  likely
• 40:31
  to
• 40:31
  be
• 40:31
  on
• 40:31
  the
• 40:31
  same
• 40:31
  page.
• 40:32
  So
• 40:33
  spend
• 40:33
  some
• 40:33
  time
• 40:33
  and
• 40:34
  understand
• 40:34
  that
• 40:34
  because
• 40:34
  this
• 40:35
  is
• 40:35
  the
• 40:35
  biggest
• 40:35
  part
• 40:36
  of
• 40:36
  hiring
• 40:36
  any
• 40:36
  contractor
• 40:37
  is
• 40:38
  that
• 40:38
  contract.
• 40:39
  And
• 40:39
  it's
• 40:40
  not
• 40:40
  a
• 40:40
  Bad
• 40:40
  idea
• 40:40
  to
• 40:41
  have
• 40:41
  an
• 40:41
  attorney
• 40:41
  look
• 40:41
  through
• 40:41
  it.
• 40:42
  If
• 40:42
  you've
• 40:42
  got
• 40:42
  a
• 40:42
  family
• 40:42
  attorney,
• 40:44
  have
• 40:44
  them
• 40:44
  take
• 40:44
  a
• 40:44
  peek
• 40:45
  at
• 40:45
  it,
• 40:45
  see
• 40:46
  what
• 40:46
  they
• 40:46
  say,
• 40:46
  see
• 40:47
  how
• 40:47
  comfortable
• 40:48
  they
• 40:48
  are.
• 40:49
  And
• 40:49
  yes,
• 40:49
  that's
• 40:50
  going
• 40:50
  to
• 40:50
  make
• 40:50
  your
• 40:50
  contractor
• 40:51
  a
• 40:51
  little
• 40:51
  bit
• 40:51
  nervous
• 40:52
  and
• 40:52
  that's
• 40:52
  okay.
• 40:53
  If
• 40:54
  you
• 40:54
  do
• 40:54
  your
• 40:54
  due
• 40:55
  diligence
• 40:55
  to
• 40:55
  follow
• 40:56
  this
• 40:56
  stuff
• 40:56
  up
• 40:56
  to
• 40:56
  make
• 40:56
  sure
• 40:57
  it's
• 40:57
  covered,
• 40:57
  you're
• 40:58
  good.
• 40:58
  But
• 40:59
  make
• 40:59
  sure
• 40:59
  that
• 40:59
  everything
• 41:00
  is
• 41:00
  spelled
• 41:00
  out.
• 41:01
  If
• 41:01
  it's
• 41:02
  this
• 41:02
  cabinetry,
• 41:02
  what
• 41:03
  kind
• 41:03
  is
• 41:03
  it?
• 42:14
  Stuff
• 42:15
  that
• 42:15
  you
• 42:15
  have
• 42:15
  to
• 42:15
  put
• 42:15
  together
• 42:16
  that
• 42:16
  just
• 42:16
  came
• 42:16
  in
• 42:16
  off
• 42:17
  a
• 42:17
  boat
• 42:17
  from
• 42:17
  China
• 42:18
  or
• 42:18
  is
• 42:18
  it
• 42:19
  custom
• 42:19
  made
• 42:19
  stuff
• 42:19
  that's
• 42:20
  coming
• 42:20
  out
• 42:20
  of
• 42:21
  one
• 42:21
  of
• 42:21
  the
• 42:21
  high
• 42:21
  end
• 42:22
  places
• 42:22
  that
• 42:22
  you
• 42:23
  see?
• 42:23
  An
• 42:23
  Architectural
• 42:24
  Digest
• 42:25
  cabinetry
• 42:26
  can
• 42:26
  be
• 42:26
  either
• 42:26
  one
• 42:26
  of
• 42:26
  those.
• 42:27
  Heck,
• 42:27
  they
• 42:28
  could
• 42:28
  be
• 42:28
  building
• 42:28
  it
• 42:28
  in
• 42:28
  their
• 42:29
  garage
• 42:29
  out
• 42:29
  of
• 42:29
  particle
• 42:30
  board.
• 42:30
  You
• 42:30
  have
• 42:30
  no
• 42:31
  idea
• 42:31
  the
• 42:32
  details
• 42:33
  of
• 42:33
  what
• 42:33
  it
• 42:33
  is.
• 42:34
  And
• 42:35
  if
• 42:35
  you've
• 42:35
  got
• 42:35
  drawings,
• 42:36
  they
• 42:36
  should
• 42:36
  be
• 42:37
  signed,
• 42:38
  attached,
• 42:39
  detailed.
• 42:40
  All
• 42:41
  of
• 42:41
  those
• 42:41
  things,
• 42:42
  all
• 42:43
  those
• 42:43
  things
• 42:43
  should
• 42:43
  work
• 42:44
  together
• 42:45
  so
• 42:45
  you
• 42:45
  understand
• 42:46
  what
• 42:46
  the
• 42:46
  project
• 42:46
  is.
• 42:47
  If
• 42:47
  it's
• 42:47
  a
• 42:47
  bathroom
• 42:48
  with
• 42:48
  drawings,
• 42:49
  you
• 42:49
  need
• 42:49
  to
• 42:49
  be
• 42:49
  initialing
• 42:50
  those.
• 42:50
  If
• 42:50
  there's
• 42:51
  color
• 42:51
  samples
• 42:52
  like
• 42:52
  for
• 42:52
  wood
• 42:52
  cabinetry,
• 42:53
  I
• 42:53
  want
• 42:53
  to
• 42:53
  see
• 42:53
  a
• 42:53
  door
• 42:54
  sample
• 42:54
  that
• 42:55
  you've
• 42:55
  initialed.
• 42:55
  I
• 42:55
  want
• 42:56
  to
• 42:56
  see
• 42:56
  a
• 42:56
  color
• 42:56
  sample
• 42:57
  you've
• 42:57
  initialed.
• 42:58
  What's
• 42:58
  the
• 42:58
  finish
• 42:59
  on
• 42:59
  it?
• 42:59
  Is
• 42:59
  it
• 42:59
  lacquer?
• 43:00
  Hate
• 43:01
  lacquer
• 43:01
  on
• 43:01
  cabinetry.
• 43:02
  Is
• 43:02
  that
• 43:03
  a
• 43:03
  conversion
• 43:03
  varnish
• 43:04
  or
• 43:04
  one
• 43:04
  of
• 43:04
  the
• 43:04
  new
• 43:04
  water
• 43:04
  based
• 43:05
  urethanes?
• 43:05
  Awesome.
• 43:06
  That's
• 43:06
  baked
• 43:06
  on
• 43:07
  better
• 43:07
  deal
• 43:07
  there.
• 43:08
  Just
• 43:09
  please
• 43:09
  understand
• 43:10
  what's
• 43:10
  going
• 43:10
  in
• 43:11
  the
• 43:11
  project
• 43:12
  and
• 43:12
  it's
• 43:12
  going
• 43:12
  to
• 43:13
  really
• 43:13
  protect
• 43:14
  you,
• 43:14
  the
• 43:15
  project
• 43:15
  and
• 43:16
  the
• 43:16
  contractor.
• 43:17
  So
• 43:17
  that
• 43:17
  way
• 43:17
  there's
• 43:18
  no
• 43:18
  misunderstandings
• 43:20
  and
• 43:20
  you
• 43:20
  can
• 43:20
  get
• 43:20
  that
• 43:21
  project
• 43:21
  done.
• 43:21
  Because
• 43:22
  nobody
• 43:23
  saves
• 43:23
  money.
• 43:23
  When
• 43:23
  you
• 43:23
  have
• 43:23
  to
• 43:24
  fire
• 43:24
  the
• 43:24
  contractor
• 43:25
  and
• 43:26
  bring
• 43:26
  somebody
• 43:26
  in
• 43:27
  and
• 43:27
  they're
• 43:27
  doing,
• 43:28
  they're
• 43:28
  going
• 43:28
  to
• 43:28
  charge
• 43:29
  you
• 43:29
  a
• 43:29
  premium
• 43:29
  for
• 43:30
  finishing
• 43:30
  somebody
• 43:31
  else's
• 43:31
  mess
• 43:32
  and
• 43:32
  you're
• 43:32
  going
• 43:32
  to
• 43:32
  be
• 43:33
  stressed
• 43:33
  because
• 43:33
  you've
• 43:33
  had
• 43:33
  people
• 43:34
  in
• 43:34
  your
• 43:34
  house
• 43:35
  way
• 43:35
  too
• 43:35
  long
• 43:36
  and
• 43:36
  that
• 43:36
  gets
• 43:37
  expensive
• 43:37
  for
• 43:37
  you
• 43:38
  and
• 43:39
  your
• 43:39
  family.
• 43:40
  So
• 43:40
  something
• 43:40
  to
• 43:41
  consider.
• 43:42
  Do
• 43:42
  your
• 43:42
  research
• 43:43
  and
• 43:43
  make
• 43:43
  sure
• 43:44
  that
• 43:44
  contract
• 43:44
  is
• 43:45
  dialed
• 43:45
  in.
• 43:46
  All
• 43:46
  right
• 43:46
  guys,
• 43:46
  if
• 43:47
  you've
• 43:47
  got
• 43:47
  anything
• 43:47
  that
• 43:47
  you
• 43:48
  want
• 43:48
  to
• 43:48
  comment
• 43:48
  on,
• 43:48
  make
• 43:49
  sure
• 43:49
  and
• 43:49
  hit
• 43:49
  me
• 43:49
  up
• 43:50
  roundthehouse
• 43:51

• 43:52
  you
• 43:52
  can
• 43:52
  message
• 43:53
  me
• 43:53
  over
• 43:53
  there.
• 43:54
  That
• 43:54
  is
• 43:54
  one
• 43:54
  of
• 43:54
  those
• 43:54
  places.
• 43:55
  You
• 43:55
  can
• 43:55
  send
• 43:55
  me
• 43:55
  a
• 43:55
  note
• 43:55
  and
• 43:55

• 43:56
  another
• 43:57
  one
• 43:57
  that
• 43:57

• 43:57
  ran
• 43:57
  into.

  you
• 43:59
  want
• 43:59

• 44:01
  bad
• 44:01
  experience
• 44:01
  was
• 44:01
  with
• 44:02
  a
• 44:02
  contractor
• 44:03
  and
• 44:03
  what
• 44:03
  you
• 44:04
  learned
• 44:04
  and
• 44:04
  the
• 44:04
  mistakes
• 44:04
  you
• 44:05
  made
• 44:05
  or
• 44:06
  the
• 44:06
  thing
• 44:06
  that
• 44:07
  nobody
• 44:07
  thought
• 44:07
  they
• 44:08
  saw
• 44:08
  coming.
• 44:09
  If
• 44:09
  we
• 44:09
  can
• 44:09
  share
• 44:09
  that
• 44:10
  on

• 44:10
  upcoming
