- 0:00The Force will be with you always. Hello everyone, Welcome back to the
- 0:21episode of Star Wars. That's your home on the Geek Ultimate Lines podcast network
- 0:26for any and all. Thanks star Wars. I'm your host as always Katie
- 0:31and with me as perfuse it's Clay. Clay. How are you doing today?
- 0:35I am doing exceptionally well. I uh for for a day that was
- 0:41supposed to be absolute crap. I have nothing to do at work today,
- 0:47and they were gonna make us uh transfer old disgusting carpet tiles. Uh oh
- 0:54it was. It was going to be gross. But then we actually got
- 0:59a call and they were like, hey, we need this stuff transferred here.
- 1:03And so I got to spend almost all day in the car, in
- 1:08the company truck and just you know, sidestepped that disgusting carpet that we've been
- 1:15avoiding for the past like four months, Like they wanted to get done,
- 1:19but we keep avoiding it. But yeah, that was good. If everybody
- 1:26doesn't know the topic of today, of course you must have because you clicked
- 1:30on this podcast, but been listening to the Power of two literally all day.
- 1:38Like I told you, I wanted to get ingrained into my brain so
- 1:42that way when we actually have this conversation, I know what I'm talking about.
- 1:48So did that? And well the only negative thing Amberln is in in
- 1:55a little bit of a mood. Like everything everything is pissing her off.
- 2:01Me dancing pissed her off, me playing pickapoo pissed her off, her favorite
- 2:07TV shows, pissing her off, food pissing her off. Like there is
- 2:10literally nothing we have been able to do to like make her happy. And
- 2:15so I'm just like, you know what, I'm out for the night,
- 2:17Abby, good luck, love you. I will treat you to like some
- 2:23ice cream or something for dealing with her, but I gotta go. H
- 2:27I ran in here, so yeah. Other other than that, it's been
- 2:30a pretty good day. What about yourself, it's been good. Today is
- 2:34my last day of maternity leave, so I'm in my fields a little bit.
- 2:39I gotta go back to work tomorrow, So it's not gonna be It's
- 2:43gonna be interesting to see because I got two days and then construction starts back
- 2:47on my house next week to fix the damages. So I'm going back to
- 2:53my mom's for all next week. It's not gonna be by myself with the
- 2:58baby. Help me obi wan, you're my only hope. I so I
- 3:06will say I was only allowed a week and a half of maternity when uh,
- 3:16when Amberlyn was born, and that first day back, I did everything
- 3:23I could to get off early. It just like it felt like I feel
- 3:28bad for like leaving Abby home alone. But uh, it's been good because
- 3:32Matt and I both work from home. So yeah, I think which is
- 3:36a great thing because you'll actually be able to spend time with her every day.
- 3:40Yeah, for you know, swapping off and everything else. I think
- 3:44that's very very cool. So we'll see what happens, but y'all pray for
- 3:49me. I will be an anxious wreck, I promise. All right,
- 3:54Okay, so Clay tell us what news we have to talk about. Yes,
- 4:00So we actually have quite a bit of news which has been well granted,
- 4:06I will say this, It has been somewhat normal for the fact that
- 4:11we've been, of course reviewing the Acolyte for about what two months? Three
- 4:16months? Yeah, so that's why there wasn't a whole lot of news recently.
- 4:23And I apologize. If you can hear in Berlin right now, she's
- 4:25screaming her head off and knocking on the door. So starting off the news,
- 4:32I think the biggest thing is, well, you know what I want
- 4:39to This isn't on the list technically, but I want to talk about the
- 4:46elephant in the room because it does coincide with our main topic, the hashtag
- 4:54renew the Acolyte is. I want to talk about this because you brought up
- 5:00a really good point and I technically when it comes to our Marvel our Star
- 5:05Wars alliance excuse me chat, this actually did come up first because you and
- 5:13Snail started to talk about it, and I don't think I really joined in.
- 5:16I was kind of just reading because I was working. But there is
- 5:21a lot of worry about the Acolyte. And when I say worry and I
- 5:29say a lot, I see it sporadically, and it's the reason behind It's
- 5:33the reasoning is there hasn't been a huge announcement of the Acolyte is getting a
- 5:41season two right, and we talked about how a lot of other things,
- 5:49not just Star Wars, but a lot of other things usually get that season
- 5:55two announcement like a week after something to really hype up the and everything else.
- 6:00But you made a good point and saying look at a Soca Ahsoka didn't
- 6:06get one immediately after, and so there's a lot of people like panicking.
- 6:15They're like, if you don't renew Accolae, La la la and see.
- 6:19But this is the audience that Leslie is specifically tackling with the Accolade. She
- 6:26has stated, I wanted to hit the young women of the fandom as the
- 6:30main audience for this show because they are always left the second place and you
- 6:34are in the midst right now of the romanticy fans. And that's exactly who
- 6:42the accolyte applies to, is the romanticy fans. The ooh, she's gonna
- 6:46date the bad boy, ooh they're gonna fall love, Like this is who
- 6:51you're talking to. And this is the latch on, grab and take hold
- 6:56of remember like all the fan fictions and stuff. So the audience it makes
- 7:00sense for like, this is not like the boys of Star Wars like doing
- 7:10this. This is people who are very used to, hey, when is
- 7:15the next book coming out? Like I need to know when the next book's
- 7:18coming out asap. So it's an impatient fandom, is basically what I'm trying
- 7:26to say. Yeah, so if they didn't expect this, I don't know
- 7:31what they did expect, because that's just what it is. And I I'm
- 7:43okay with waiting. I was talking to a coworker of mine's day and I
- 7:47was like, well, Deadfool comes out tonight, and that's basically all I
- 7:57have to really worry about until I don't win. And it gives us time
- 8:03to bree. It gives you time to put on the tinfoil hats for you
- 8:11know, all of these other things that you want in the Star Wars fandom,
- 8:13in the accolyte, in the books and all this stuff. It gets
- 8:16the discussion going. It gets and I genuinely think this is what they want.
- 8:22They want to see how many people really want that season too. They
- 8:28want to see the calls for it. They want to Leslie wants to show
- 8:33Lucasfilm, Disney and Star Wars. Hey, look like we're we're kind of
- 8:39holding on and look what's happening. This is a good thing in some capacity.
- 8:45Again, it could just splatter all over my face at the end of
- 8:48the day and boom, we don't have a season two, which would suck.
- 8:52But this is a good marketing strategy in some capacity or another. And
- 9:00you said, hey, there's other things coming along within the year where it
- 9:05would be a good idea to be like, hey, we're gonna go ahead
- 9:09and announce it now, and that goes for books and everything else within Star
- 9:15Wars. So it's not just the Acolyte that we're worried about, but it
- 9:18was something that I wanted to bring up with the new the Acolyte hashtag because
- 9:22it was something that was like, from from the day the finale released to
- 9:28right now, you could look up the hashtag and it's just you would be
- 9:35freaking scrolling for days. It's just it's crazy and I and I think it's
- 9:39a very good thing. Speaking of things that could be announced at upcoming things
- 9:46like Sindhio Kama Kat or D twenty three. Yeah your Roar got we talked
- 9:54about for your Ror last week. But there's also actually another titled adult Star
- 10:01Wars novel that has a release date of May six for Random House Worlds.
- 10:07So I I told you, I put the gift out there. It was
- 10:13the Steve Carell office, uh for me once, uh for me twice strike
- 10:24three. You know, I I I still can't believe, like I I
- 10:28this, I told you this is the flash of Star Wars novels. I
- 10:33need to see it, advertised, cover art, everything, to show me
- 10:39that this is a real thing. Now, I bet you're gonna find out
- 10:43tomorrow. We're gonna find out tomorrow. The publish tomorrow. Yeah, I'm
- 10:46sure we're gonna see something tomorrow, which like it's crazy. It's like,
- 10:52holy crap, Sanio Comic Con is already here. Like that, I was
- 10:56like, holy crap, that went by so fast. I'm really excited to
- 11:01get more book news. I have fallen so far behind on my good Reads
- 11:09challenge this year, and I think I may have like gotten a little too
- 11:18big brain for what Clay can really handle. And I'm gonna blame you,
- 11:24Katie, because you got me into reading and I was like, you know
- 11:26what, I can do this. I can do this. And then I
- 11:28look at Goodreads and they're like, you're twenty books behind. I'm like,
- 11:33hey, how many times do you think I can add the footbook by Doctor
- 11:37Seuss See, And that's what I want to know. I want to know
- 11:41how many times can you add a book? Because I think you could only
- 11:46add a book once. But like technically, technically every New Star Wars book
- 11:54I listen or I read and then listen to that's reading. I read every
- 11:58Star Wars book that we get twice, if not three times, and then,
- 12:03of course, because we are so graciously given the opportunity to of course
- 12:09get the advanced copies of both the book itself and the audio version, I
- 12:18listen to it like freaking six times because it's the first thing that starts in
- 12:24my car with the bluetooth, and so it's like it's just over and over
- 12:26and over again. Like Mark Thompson, I have your voice memorized. It's
- 12:35in my brain every day. But yeah, I if Goodreads could allow you
- 12:41to add the same book multiple times, I would be caught up. I
- 12:46would be caught up on my good Reads challenge. But nonetheless, more publishing
- 12:54news, the really big one being in comics. They have announced some other
- 13:01things. We finally get the answer of what comes after Star Wars fifty and
- 13:07Darth Vader fifty. This we called this, by the way, yes we
- 13:15called this. We said that it was it was a long shot because we
- 13:22were starting to lean more towards Hey, they're really diving deep into like the
- 13:26prequel era, so maybe we can get some in between stuff here and there.
- 13:30But our first guess was like Hey, let's take the risk. Let's
- 13:33do this, and that is the fact that we are going post Return of
- 13:41the Jedi on Star Wars the main line comic Katie, how do you feel
- 13:48about this? I'm super excited about this, especially because so the main title
- 13:54is done by Alex Sagora, who wrote the Poe Damn Roon novel which I
- 14:01loved. It was a great book. So, uh, super excited about
- 14:05that. But the title for this mainline is the Battle of Jackou, which
- 14:16is that gives us our era because and we talked about this in the main
- 14:22chat, but this era basically takes us to about a year, so we're
- 14:26covering another year of Star Wars after Return of the deadI so we'll go return
- 14:30to the Jadi to Battle of jack Wu about a year year and a half,
- 14:35So that gives you kind of where we're at. But this first it's
- 14:39called a Maxie series. Yes, because you posted something about this. Uh
- 14:46you posted about this later after this announcement that somebody else mentioned that there's gonna
- 14:54be multiple Maxie series instead of on titles. That is, so that is
- 15:05what Star Wars splash Pod said that Marvel said there will be three limited series
- 15:15surrounding the never before told moments of the Galactic Civil War. Okay, Jacob
- 15:24Bush posted the Amazon description for the trade paperback which is supposed to be out
- 15:31April eighth of twenty twenty five, and it actually has the three titles for
- 15:37the maxi series. So we have Battle of jack Wu, Insurgency Rising,
- 15:43Battle of Jackou Republic under Siege, and Battle of jack Wu Last Stand.
- 15:50So all three series are four issues, and all three say that they are
- 15:58going to be published in twenty twenty four, which is interesting because typically Marvel
- 16:04series run month to month, but this one, and this is again from
- 16:11Star Wars splash page pod we have it out. Oh, that doesn't say
- 16:17when it's out. The first the four issues for Insurgency Rising are out October
- 16:22second, October sixteenth, October thirtieth, and November sixth. So I'm interested
- 16:32to see how this is gonna go. Because this is a new release schedule
- 16:36for Marvel Comics. I would assume they've already had this going because they have
- 16:41no coordination that's needed for this comic because right now the only thing that they
- 16:48have is Princess and the Scoundrel and then Aftermath, and like after Math and
- 16:55alphabet squadron trilogies, so all of those are kind of what you have to
- 16:59coordinate. And has it been out for years? Yeah, so you have
- 17:03already had the basis for this, So hopefully we won't see any delays.
- 17:07But it'll be interesting because you've got all of October and then I assume the
- 17:11second one's gonna be November and the third one's going to be December. So
- 17:17yeah, very very exciting things moving forward in Marvel comics right when I am
- 17:25like not huge on reading comics right now, which really sucks. Hopefully this
- 17:30does give like a little revival in me. Uh in of course reading now,
- 17:34I will say this, I will tease some stuff for Star Wars Alliance.
- 17:37We are planning some things, so uh be on the look up for
- 17:41that as well. But looking at everything that is basically it. I don't
- 17:48know if you want to share the one that you I believe it was this
- 17:52morning or yesterday that you shared because of the song, Well I do not,
- 17:56we don't. We don't talk about that guy here, all right.
- 18:00Yeah, with that may put us behind on news, but I gotta have
- 18:03I gotta have some morals. Yeah, I was gonna say you gotta draw
- 18:06the line somewhere and that's totally fine. But after that, I think that
- 18:12is it for the news. All right, y'all, we're gonna hit our
- 18:18first ad break and we will be right back in three two one. Oh,
- 18:22I lost my I lost my page that had the lyrics. We are
- 18:26going to transfer to the main topic, which is Victoria Moonaise the power of
- 18:34two songs from Star Wars The Acolytes. So this was the end credit song
- 18:41for episode seven and episode eight, and I've seen a couple different breakdowns on
- 18:48this, like I've got I googled the power of two lyrics Star Wars and
- 18:52Accolade Twin Flames song explained pops up on the Mary Sue web page, so
- 18:59if you're interested in that, you can go read that. But I just
- 19:00never read that because I wanted to try and do this. This is something
- 19:03brand new that I've never tried to do before. But I had a couple
- 19:07of ideas when listening to the song, especially after some episodes had come out,
- 19:12so I was like, this could be fun to talk about. So
- 19:18also the other thing that I wanted to share was we posted on the twitters
- 19:27looking for feedback on hashtag renew that Acolyte, and we did actually get one
- 19:34response from Elsie Webb's XO they or. She said, I just really think
- 19:41the show stuck the landing, created an incredibly compelling villain and budding evil power
- 19:47couple, and definitely earned a season two, especially for the new market share
- 19:52it's bringing in. Remember we talked about the romanticy squad, that's exactly what
- 19:56she's talking about. And she said, I've brought so many fans and the
- 20:00fold with this, and honestly, I brought in my cousin because my cousin
- 20:04got me into reading Akatar after Fourth Wing, and I was like, I
- 20:10think you should watch the Accolade because like it doesn't require any background knowledge first
- 20:15of all, and then two it's got the evil power couple. And she
- 20:22was like, Oh, that totally stops like something I could be interested in.
- 20:26So she's watched the first couple episodes, but she's a teacher, so
- 20:30she's like starting back, so she'll get through it eventually, but she's watching
- 20:33it. So it's like, so thank you Elsie for sharing your thoughts.
- 20:40Really appreciate it. So awes the power of two. So the first question
- 20:48I had for you. I think there's a perspective from one of the twins
- 20:56in this I I was scratched my brain all day because you say one of
- 21:08the twins. And I believe that is so because just the way the lyrics
- 21:18read, specifically, uh, there is a lyric in the uh pre chorus
- 21:30and the chorus uh. So the pre chorus it says, we so won
- 21:40the same, so all my pain is your pain. I was like,
- 21:42Okay, it says you thought your soul was a necklace. Okay, so
- 21:48clearly talking to somebody. And then the chorus it says, I feel the
- 21:52shame when they call me your name, and you feel the same when they
- 21:57say you are to blame. So I'm like, okay, let's take a
- 22:02step back. Who is this song? Who is the narrator in this song?
- 22:15I because of the way the show resolves, the season one resolves,
- 22:27I will be honest, it was hard to make a final decision on who
- 22:33this perspective is because there is so many ways it could be May, in
- 22:38so many ways that it could be Osha. Because really, because I think
- 22:45it's only May. You think it's only May. Yeah, See, I
- 22:51think that it's May. For the fact that this does scream like all of
- 23:00the like, it screams this, It screams the same for both in this
- 23:07in the sense of like resentment of anger for the think the event that transpired
- 23:12on their own planet. And I think the only thing that made me think
- 23:21lean a little bit more unmade was the lyric where was it again? Uh?
- 23:29I feel the shame when they call me your name because who mistakes her
- 23:34for Osha? She feels shame in that case because Soul kills her mom because
- 23:42he thought she was Osha. She is thinking, Oh, if he had
- 23:48known that I was May, he wouldn't have been worried about my safety and
- 23:53my mom would still be alive. And that's exactly what's happening there. And
- 23:57the kid you feel the same when they say you're to blame. That's her
- 24:03talking about Osha getting blamed friend Dara's death. So that's like the main lyric
- 24:10that's like, Hey, this is why I think it's May. But actually,
- 24:15when you look at it, the whole pre chorus like actually makes me
- 24:19think more that it's May. So it's while I was tethered to you,
- 24:25you cut it straight to the truth that was talking about when they were cut
- 24:27apart when Osha. Specifically for me, I think when Osha like decides to
- 24:37tell her truth, and maybe I'm taking this too literally, but like Osha
- 24:41decides to tell her truth to Soul and they're like, oh, like she
- 24:45thinks, oh, they're gonna take me away and I can become a Jedi.
- 24:48And so in that case, May is like trying to like iterate her
- 24:55pain to Osha, and she the you thought your soul's a necklace that you
- 25:00could wear and take off, that you could rip and break off, that
- 25:02you could trade in the dark. That's her talking about her Osha trying to
- 25:07let go of her past, like her heritage. I was gonna say,
- 25:11it makes more sense of like questioning the uh the oh shoot, I lost
- 25:22the word coven, questioning the coven and not really wanting to become a witch
- 25:30and like all of these different things right, So because that one I was
- 25:34taking it too seriously. When I first listened to the song, I was
- 25:37like, Okay, you saw you thought your soul was a necklace that you
- 25:41could wear and take off, rip and break off, that you could trade
- 25:47in the dark. I was like, what does that mean? And it's
- 25:52it's saying like Hey, like you were brought up in this family, in
- 26:00this coven, and you just wanted to throw us away. You wanted to
- 26:07just leave and not come back to us. But your mind is the last
- 26:15line of the pre chorus. This speaks volumes to the incident with May and
- 26:22the fire, with shutting her into the room, starting the fire, and
- 26:26everything else. So I the at the end of the chorus says, here,
- 26:37I feel the shame when they call me your name? Why work with
- 26:41myself? If it's a losing game? This was a very interesting one.
- 26:49And again because I was looking at it both ways. Okay, how is
- 26:53it a losing game for May? How is it a losing game for Oosha?
- 27:00For me? I think? And this is where I go back to
- 27:06Leslie staying, well, this is a story about Star Wars villains. They're
- 27:10not meant to win in the end of this, so that's kind of the
- 27:14thing that I kept in mind with this lyric. But like, to me,
- 27:18that's like kind of iterating like, hey, we can't win unless we're
- 27:26together. But unfortunately they're always going to be a part because they get together
- 27:32at the end, and then Osha kind of realizes, Hey, like we're
- 27:37always going to be tracked like I need I need training, I need to
- 27:41work on myself, and that's when she's like, okay, May, I
- 27:45can go. But like it's them splitting up again together. They're more powerful
- 27:49because they're one of the same, but like they have to be broken apart.
- 27:56So that's kind of what this lyric meant to me. Well, the
- 28:03outro of this chorus says, I'm at war with myself. It's a losing
- 28:12game. And this for her was always a losing battle because Osha again wanted
- 28:26to run away, wanted to leave them and everything else. But also when
- 28:33you look at the grand scheme of the show, who literally loses it all
- 28:41May like she knows nothing now. She is burdened with now, like having
- 28:51this lost memory and everything and this. I'm so interested in this, I
- 29:00you know, I said on Twitter after we posted that we were going to
- 29:06be talking about the song that and I was thinking about this today while listening
- 29:11to the song as well. Modernized music in Star Wars is so interesting to
- 29:19me because yes, I get it, people, I understand there is an
- 29:26aesthetic to Star Wars and you wanted to stay the same and all of this
- 29:30other stuff. But our first taste of this was the fact that in Star
- 29:38Wars Visions there was a whole story about how a Jedi ran from Order sixty
- 29:45six and started a freaking band yep. And I think that was cool,
- 29:52Like that was fun, and so we got a little taste of that,
- 29:56very small taste, but still it's there, not in the main universe Star
- 30:00Wars, but it's the franchise overall. And here we get to talk about
- 30:06this, We get to go in depth, not just with the song,
- 30:08but what it means to the show, because we know that Victoria Monet specifically
- 30:15spoke with a composer of the show, and I'm willing to bet spoke through
- 30:25these lyrics with Leslie to be like, hey, like what are we trying
- 30:30to convey in this song and everything else? So what people need to understand
- 30:37is music, whether it be instrumental, lyrical, whatever, like it is
- 30:44literally the one constant throughout history that connects people. Yep. This is important,
- 30:55whether it be you know, everybody obsessed sover instrumental sound tracks. Every
- 31:00single time a new movie comes out, like the new stuff is what people
- 31:03should be freaking out about, is what like stuff like this? It's like,
- 31:07oh, we get to open up this whole new thing to something that
- 31:11has never done this before. So I like this more so because we were
- 31:17talking about, Okay, what does this mean for this for the show itself,
- 31:22but like through this message that may is singing or sag like we we
- 31:32we know how the show wins. What is Victoria Monette and Leslie and the
- 31:37composer gonna cook up next season? Like that's what I'm like, I'm stoked
- 31:41for that. I told Abby, I was like, I get to be
- 31:45you for the day. I'm gonna listen to music and I'm gonna talk about
- 31:51it. Of course, she has a podcast about Taylor Swift and everything,
- 31:52so I just want to jump around with that. But I I really dig
- 31:56this. I really really do the the Twin Flame. And also I want
- 32:06to say, Uh, if people don't know where you can immediately listen to
- 32:12this. Disney Music Vivo has the actual quote unquote music video for this.
- 32:20Uh That's how I was listening to it all day. I have not purchased
- 32:25the single yet. I don't know if you actually can or not. Yes,
- 32:30it is on any music platformance on Apple Music. My mom has Apple
- 32:36Music and I'm on her Apple family Plan, So that's what I So it
- 32:42is available pretty much anywhere. So, so you were going into the twin
- 32:47flame portion, what did you think about the twin flame? Because that,
- 32:52that and the thick skinned, big scars was like the only thing I was
- 32:59like. It was a little bit of a brain scratcher, right, Okay,
- 33:02So twin flame. I don't know anything about the terminology exactly, but
- 33:14when I hear flame, what I start getting like philosophical and things like that.
- 33:20What does a flame represent? Well, a flame represents chaos and anger
- 33:27of like, okay, anger, that is something very much, you know,
- 33:30interwoven within this show. The twin flame could mean like May is just
- 33:39as angry as Osha is. You know, they are both twin flames.
- 33:45That's what my brain went to. Now. The one that I couldn't quite
- 33:52get was the thick skin, which is I can't remember where that was the
- 34:00very beginning, Yeah, the very first verse. Uh, it says parts
- 34:06of me will die with you, and I think it's gonna be the good
- 34:07parts. Uh. That's something I haven't talked about yet. It says I
- 34:13don't want to feel at all fixed skin, big scars. I think this
- 34:20is cutting her off like, this is me saying, like I do have
- 34:27thick skin. These scars are gonna be even bigger from what just happened at
- 34:31our home planet. And she is becoming that cold person that she's gonna need
- 34:37to be to go on her mission to kill these Jedi. Yeah, I
- 34:42think that's what that means. Yeah, I that would be my best guess.
- 34:49I think also that could elude with Osha too. This is probably the
- 34:55only verse that I really think could apply from like an Osha perspective, because
- 35:02like she lost her sister, and clearly like she feels like none of the
- 35:09good things that she was hoping for joining the Jedi Order in particular could happen
- 35:15because all that died with May in the fire. So that, yeah,
- 35:23that was me. So that very first part of the first verse, though,
- 35:29that's something that we completely skipped over. Parts of me will die with
- 35:32you, and I think it's going to be the good part. Yeah,
- 35:35that's where That's the only thing I can think of, interpretation wise, is
- 35:40from OSHA's perspective, because she couldn't get into the Jedi Order because ultimately she
- 35:45harbored too much grief. So all the good things died when May died in
- 35:54a sense, Yeah, do you have an idea for May? I'm not
- 36:00entirely sure. Could this be a foreshadowing? That is what I've also thought
- 36:10because it says parts of me will die with you, So it's like who's
- 36:17dying. That's also the question. Because I'm gonna go ahead and move the
- 36:23banner to the future breakdown, let's feel like we talked about season one author,
- 36:30We're gonna go into our second ad break and we'll be right back.
- 36:36But I feel like if they were the same person, wouldn't that mean that
- 36:39like maybe May a soul with line back up into ocean? Well, that's
- 36:46remember that was one of the questions that we talked about in the finale.
- 36:52I know for a fact that I did talk about it with Georgie and with
- 36:58Adrian. This idea that if they are one and the same, what happens
- 37:02if one of them dies? My theory of course, makes things a little
- 37:07complicated when I was like, oh, they are both Aniseyah and her life
- 37:15essence went into them, but she's dead, but nothing happened to them.
- 37:21So does death really do anything to one or the other, you know,
- 37:27other than killing them? So this is gonna be a very interesting question because
- 37:35of course these two are assumingly not immortal, because of course they have never
- 37:43been in any future Star Wars content. They will eventually die, And I
- 37:47still think that's a very interesting story to tell, because we ultimately look at
- 37:55Osha, her path into the dark Side, her evitable meeting of Plagis,
- 38:02and how that all snowballs into Palpatine wanting to become immortalized himself. Right,
- 38:12Yeah, And I genuinely think that ends very poorly for Osha. Yes,
- 38:20it's got to, it has to. But I also have not really thought
- 38:25of that of the perspective of May. May seemingly is quote unquote okay.
- 38:35Now, does that mean she's gonna be okay for the rest of the time.
- 38:39No, because she is now being sent on this mission with Bernestra,
- 38:45which is ultimately going to put her in harm's way, And so you really
- 38:52don't know who is going to die and by whose hand is Osha gonna kill
- 38:59May. I know we talked about because remember I had said, oh,
- 39:07for a second, I thought that uh uh oh, shoot, I forgot
- 39:13his name, uh uh chime here was suggesting that Osha kill May with the
- 39:20handing of the Lightsaber that ultimately didn't happen, but we have seen multiple times,
- 39:27whether that be in legends, whether that be in video games, whether
- 39:30that be in comics and everything else, like attachments. You know, they
- 39:36strengthen you and they don't strengthen you, and what does that mean? People
- 39:39find you weak because of love and like all of these different things, And
- 39:43like I could see a very dark path where Osha could cross the line,
- 39:52But at the same time I could see maybe Plagis sees May as an obstacle,
- 40:00right, or the Jedi in general. It's like, okay, well,
- 40:05if she's helping the Jedi, just get rid of me and boom,
- 40:09there's no way that they can help her, or she can't help the Jedi
- 40:14any further. You know, Yeah, it's it both. It looks like
- 40:20for both roads, whether that be May or Osha, it doesn't end well,
- 40:24it won't. The only question is how does how will their death affect
- 40:35other things in Star Wars? Particularly does their death You talked okay, hang
- 40:44on, hang on, you talked about this. I remember this. I
- 40:45don't remember which episode it was in, but you talked about our May and
- 40:52Vernestra, the Verrgrance or did Matt talk about that? Did you talk about
- 40:55that? No, so we question what the virgins was? Yeah, then
- 41:04so the thought, the thought came up, uh, and you would say
- 41:08it was from Matt, and so we talked about it a little bit.
- 41:12We weren't entirely sure what that exactly means if they were, so go ahead
- 41:16and continue. So what if because May and Osha assumedly were created with the
- 41:25virgins, what if the power of two being killed gives Plagis or Palpatine the
- 41:37power to create an Again, It's something that I've thought about, like it's
- 41:45it's a weird, like it's I want to make a comparison, but I
- 41:53don't know how to compare it to anything else. But just like you said,
- 41:58it's essentially the essence that being the vergens that is May or Osha,
- 42:06or the collective of both their force, essence when they die, whatever it
- 42:15may be. Whatever. We are literally making this up as we go because
- 42:19we aren't the ones writing this story. But basically, think of it this
- 42:24way, Uh, Anakin is a whole crux for May and OSHA's soul,
- 42:32like like his soul is their soul. Like I don't know how many how
- 42:37many people would absolutely love that. Though as soon as I started saying it,
- 42:44Anakin was never the the special one. It was always May and Ocean.
- 42:52So technically, no, nope, I don't like it. Nope nope.
- 42:58Now again, this is all always power, This is always power.
- 43:02This is always gonna be part of the Skywalker saga. But now it's literally
- 43:07a part of the Skywalker saga. Because what you're saying is that Osha in
- 43:10May are Skywalkers. I'm not saying that. What I'm saying is the power
- 43:15that was used to create them. What if in their death Plagus is able
- 43:21to harness that power, not their soul, but the power, the force
- 43:27essence that's being released and manipulate that to create I mean, it's the same
- 43:36thing. But yeah, no, I I get it. Yeah, I
- 43:40would love the troll see. And that's and that's the thing, because the
- 43:46road that I went down is the road. And you know, I was
- 43:52partly joking, but people will take it that seriously though. They'll be like,
- 43:57oh, Anakin is Osha. Anakin is like, that's what you're saying,
- 44:01and so now you just ruined Anakin and the Skywalkers and blah blah,
- 44:06blah blah blah. I think it's cool. I think that the weirder and
- 44:15that's just been me. I talked about this when we went over our favorite
- 44:19episodes of Rebels, right, Yeah, the weirdest fantasy parts of Star Wars
- 44:24are my favorite parts. The Bindu he's my favorite. He is almost my
- 44:31favorite character of Star Wars because he is so out there. You look at
- 44:36all of Star Wars and then all of a sudden you have this giant,
- 44:39freaking fantasy creature that looks like something from the Never Ending Story and it's like,
- 44:46yeah, he's there. That's awesome. Like, and I said,
- 44:51we need more of that. We're getting that in a different form here in
- 44:55the Acolyte. So I think it's cool. Yeah, for sure. I
- 45:01think that's really all I had. Yeah, I think that we broke this
- 45:07down very very well, jumped a little, you know, all over the
- 45:10place when it comes to the song, not necessarily in order, but I
- 45:15thought this was a very fun thing, and I hope that we get to
- 45:22do it more, whether that be with music, whether that be with scenes
- 45:29from movies or whatever, or small little pieces of Star Wars related pop culture
- 45:35and things like that. I think it would be really really fun. But
- 45:37yeah, that is going to be it for the show. A little bit
- 45:40shorter than what it has been recently, but that is sometimes a good thing.
- 45:46But guys, you can always find me at Fanboy, play, on
