- 0:03Speaker 1: And now, the mob guy's great co-yanny says....
- 0:23Speaker 2: And Wayne Dolcefino on KSV Radio.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Hey!
- 0:42Speaker 4: It's the Mob Guys on KSV Radio. I am Craig Colonese.
- 0:46Speaker 4: He is Wayne Dolcefino. We are thrilled to be with you,
- 0:50Speaker 4: I say, every day. I'm thrilled to be with you today, though,
- 0:54Speaker 4: because there's a big interview that we have at 730.
- 0:57Speaker 5: And it's big.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's big. There was a press conference yesterday.
- 1:01Speaker 4: Two women that Carla Wyatt crashed into are coming forward.
- 1:06Speaker 4: They're talking about their experience of getting hit by someone
- 1:08Speaker 4: who seemed pretty drunk. If you watch the video and
- 1:11Speaker 4: the way she's driving and stuff and fled from the
- 1:14Speaker 4: scene and didn't have insurance, like a lot of bad
- 1:17Speaker 4: things for a regular person. Certainly a bad thing for
- 1:21Speaker 4: a high-ranking political person here in Houston. But those two
- 1:24Speaker 4: ladies are going to tell their story at 7.30.
- 1:26Speaker 6: Look, I think Carla is misunderstood.
- 1:30Speaker 7: I think when you drive like a crazy person into
- 1:34Speaker 7: a bunch of cars without insurance, then you try to
- 1:37Speaker 7: drive off, you've been busted, what, twice? for DWI in
- 1:42Speaker 7: the last like week and a half. I don't know
- 1:44Speaker 7: what it is, but it's like a while.
- 1:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:46Speaker 7: And she also was busted for burglarizing a car. And what's,
- 1:52Speaker 7: I think the worst thing is that this woman doesn't
- 1:54Speaker 7: have the brains to have just quit and go seek
- 1:59Speaker 7: some serious help.
- 2:01Speaker 5: Serious help.
- 2:01Speaker 4: Yeah. It seems like serious help is necessary. That's a
- 2:05Speaker 4: really good point, man. But she doesn't want to give
- 2:07Speaker 4: up any kind of power. She wanted a raise. I
- 2:09Speaker 4: think she got a raise, actually. She wanted a bigger
- 2:12Speaker 4: one than she got. She wanted a bigger one.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:15Speaker 4: But I'm amazed that we're not capable as a county
- 2:20Speaker 4: of being like we've had enough, that there are still
- 2:22Speaker 4: people that will stand with her.
- 2:24Speaker 7: Well, a resident, a former a guy that ran for
- 2:27Speaker 7: state rep, filed a lawsuit to remove her. Because we
- 2:33Speaker 7: do have that– I think that's one of the reasons
- 2:37Speaker 7: is if you're a drunk or if you're incompetent, you
- 2:41Speaker 7: can be removed. And obviously, I mean, if I had
- 2:45Speaker 7: my way, I would be removing people every day, right?
- 2:47Speaker 7: Because think about how many lawsuits we could file right
- 2:50Speaker 7: now for incompetence or corruption or nerdy wells or drunks
- 2:56Speaker 7: or whatever, right?
- 2:58Speaker 6: Look, I just think it.
- 3:00Speaker 7: Says– something especially as we're in election season that you
- 3:05Speaker 7: know we elect people and we have no idea i
- 3:08Speaker 7: mean when the treasurer race dude like do you know
- 3:12Speaker 7: anyone that knows who's i have no idea who's running
- 3:15Speaker 7: for treasurer.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Yeah all right you no i don't i actually i
- 3:18Speaker 4: don't i don't pay attention close enough and we we
- 3:20Speaker 4: should that's something that we should be paying attention to
- 3:22Speaker 4: but i don't know some of these races the reason
- 3:25Speaker 4: i'll explain that the reason that i think we don't
- 3:28Speaker 4: pay close attention to some of these races and it's
- 3:30Speaker 4: not just that I've, I've only moved here in the
- 3:32Speaker 4: last year. It's also that I don't think Republicans have
- 3:35Speaker 4: an honest shot at winning a lot of this stuff
- 3:37Speaker 4: in a Harris County, you know, or, or in the
- 3:39Speaker 4: surrounding area. We just don't have, um, a shot. And
- 3:43Speaker 4: so part of you gives up before you should.
- 3:46Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:47Speaker 7: I know they had the, uh, Harris County judge debate, uh,
- 3:52Speaker 7: last night too.
- 3:53Speaker 6: I'm sure you stayed up and watched it, right?
- 3:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:56Speaker 6: Television.
- 3:57Speaker 7: It was, I went and had margaritas instead. I, I
- 4:00Speaker 7: was thinking about going home. I worked kind of late
- 4:04Speaker 7: and I was thinking about going home to watch the debate,
- 4:08Speaker 7: even though I had no idea what time it was
- 4:10Speaker 7: last night, but I would say, well, I'll go home
- 4:12Speaker 7: and watch a little, you know, local TV on Houston
- 4:16Speaker 7: public media.
- 4:17Speaker 6: Right. Cause you know, it's what I always do at night. Right.
- 4:21Speaker 7: And, And it was between Letitia Plummer, who is a Democrat,
- 4:28Speaker 7: and Orlando Sanchez, the Republican. But I decided to go
- 4:34Speaker 7: drink instead, which seems like something I would do anyway.
- 4:38Speaker 4: I'll say that they've already debated multiple times, and we
- 4:41Speaker 4: had Orlando Sanchez on the show. So part of the
- 4:44Speaker 4: reason I might not have caught that debate is– I
- 4:47Speaker 4: think at least that one is fleshed out quite a bit,
- 4:49Speaker 4: you know, and Plummer, I think, had technical issues with
- 4:53Speaker 4: one of those debates that made it sort of laughable.
- 4:56Speaker 4: And Orlando was able to say, look, I'm prepared even
- 4:59Speaker 4: to do a Zoom call.
- 5:00Speaker 5: And apparently she's not.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know if that one was grabbing a
- 5:04Speaker 4: lot of attention just because we've seen them on a
- 5:06Speaker 4: stage talking to each other before.
- 5:09Speaker 7: Yeah, the only information I have on that debate was
- 5:13Speaker 7: while I was waiting for you to get ready for
- 5:16Speaker 7: the last hour for the show.
- 5:20Speaker 6: Actually, I walked in about four minutes before the show.
- 5:22Speaker 7: Yeah, you did.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Yeah, you did. Yeah, I walked in about four minutes before.
- 5:25Speaker 7: But I was looking at the Houston Chronicle coverage because
- 5:30Speaker 7: you know you're going to get an unbiased view of
- 5:35Speaker 7: how it happened. And they said that the headline was
- 5:41Speaker 7: six takeaways from the debate.
- 5:44Speaker 6: And that's your headline.
- 5:45Speaker 7: That kind of tells you that nothing really good happened.
- 5:49Speaker 4: I saw there was another headline. Will Harris County miss
- 5:52Speaker 4: Lena Hidalgo fireworks? And I don't think we will. I
- 5:55Speaker 4: don't think we'll miss anything about Lena Hidalgo and are
- 5:58Speaker 4: not showing up at stuff.
- 6:00Speaker 6: But I do.
- 6:01Speaker 7: I do think that if you don't watch Lena Hidalgo's
- 6:04Speaker 7: video posts, They are literally the saddest.
- 6:09Speaker 6: She looks so messed up.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:15Speaker 6: I mean, she's going to really be depressed.
- 6:18Speaker 7: I'm not trying to make fun of someone's mental health. Well,
- 6:22Speaker 7: maybe I am, but, but she seems pretty, pretty messed up. Yeah. Like, Oh, so,
- 6:30Speaker 7: but the takeaways from the debate were very fascinating.
- 6:33Speaker 6: There was a, The Chronicle.
- 6:36Speaker 7: Didn't mention a thing about the 41 percent tax increase
- 6:40Speaker 7: in their story right over three years.
- 6:43Speaker 6: So I guess that's just OK.
- 6:46Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 6:46Speaker 5: It's cost of doing business.
- 6:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:47Speaker 9: Right.
- 6:48Speaker 6: Now, they did.
- 6:49Speaker 7: Talk about the immigration. And apparently both of our candidates
- 6:55Speaker 7: agree that we that the immigration is the Fed's job,
- 6:59Speaker 7: not the locals job. And we get that. But I
- 7:03Speaker 7: would argue that it is also part of the local job.
- 7:06Speaker 7: I think every time we pull somebody over, we got
- 7:08Speaker 7: to check them out.
- 7:09Speaker 6: Sure. See who they are.
- 7:10Speaker 5: Sure.
- 7:12Speaker 6: And, you know, and turn them over. Yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 4: That's 100 percent. Well, and to be honest, to be honest,
- 7:20Speaker 4: I don't know if because, you know, it's funny. The
- 7:22Speaker 4: two guests that we booked, that'll be on in 18,
- 7:25Speaker 4: 17 minutes, something like that. And they'll be talking about
- 7:27Speaker 4: their experience getting in a car accident, a four vehicle
- 7:30Speaker 4: accident with Carla Wyatt. And then her trying to flee
- 7:33Speaker 4: the scene, which is, I don't think, debated. I don't
- 7:35Speaker 4: think anybody's debating that she definitely did that. The craziest
- 7:38Speaker 4: thing is they both thanked us because they seem to
- 7:41Speaker 4: think this takes courage to put them on radio and
- 7:44Speaker 4: talk to them. That's insane that there's so many people
- 7:47Speaker 4: afraid to have a discussion about this topic or afraid
- 7:50Speaker 4: to to hear the story directly from the people involved
- 7:55Speaker 4: because it involves a high ranking politician, the treasurer in
- 7:58Speaker 4: Harris County like that alone.
- 8:01Speaker 5: Is sort of shocking.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Um, and not, it's not because everybody predicts this sort
- 8:05Speaker 4: of stuff, but at the same time, like it shouldn't
- 8:07Speaker 4: be the way that we handle stories like this. There
- 8:09Speaker 4: shouldn't be any reason to be intimidated about talking about
- 8:12Speaker 4: a public official who's doing this level of, um, damage
- 8:16Speaker 4: to her own reputation by her constant behavior.
- 8:19Speaker 6: I was, I, while you were blabbing, um, um, While
- 8:26Speaker 6: you were blabbing.
- 8:27Speaker 5: You're in a good mood today, man.
- 8:29Speaker 6: No, I really am. I'm just messing with you. That's awesome.
- 8:31Speaker 7: Well, I was looking to see who actually covered it
- 8:36Speaker 7: in local TV.
- 8:37Speaker 6: So I'm looking.
- 8:38Speaker 5: The press conference yesterday?
- 8:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:41Speaker 7: So I see Click to Houston covered it. I see
- 8:45Speaker 7: the Houston Chronicle. I see the Texan.
- 8:48Speaker 6: I see. That's it. I think.
- 8:54Speaker 8: Sure.
- 8:55Speaker 5: Of course it is.
- 8:56Speaker 7: No, no, no, no, yeah. Channel 11 didn't cover it.
- 8:59Speaker 7: Channel 13 didn't cover it. I don't think Fox covered it.
- 9:02Speaker 7: Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm just looking at the videos online.
- 9:06Speaker 6: If only one of.
- 9:07Speaker 7: The four big TV stations covered it. And the Houston Chronicle,
- 9:13Speaker 7: which is just a liberal rag, and I'm sorry. I
- 9:17Speaker 7: don't like the Chronicle. And I don't even mind their
- 9:20Speaker 7: editorial people because I expect their editorial people to be
- 9:23Speaker 7: left-wing people.
- 9:24Speaker 8: Sure.
- 9:25Speaker 6: So when they say something, I sort of say, gee,
- 9:27Speaker 6: I'm shocked that you thought that, right? What a surprise.
- 9:31Speaker 7: But it gives you an indication of where we are
- 9:35Speaker 7: with local journalism.
- 9:38Speaker 6: No, you're right.
- 9:39Speaker 5: I'm actually looking it up, too.
- 9:40Speaker 4: And even if there might have been people at the
- 9:43Speaker 4: press conference from the other television stations, none of them
- 9:46Speaker 4: put any coverage online.
- 9:48Speaker 7: But you did know, Craig, that a lot of times
- 9:51Speaker 7: now those three big TV stations send one photographer. Wow.
- 9:58Speaker 6: Not three photographers.
- 10:00Speaker 7: They said one photographer that represents all the stations.
- 10:04Speaker 5: Yeah, that's crazy.
- 10:05Speaker 7: So that's the only person that's there. So then that
- 10:08Speaker 7: person just sends the video.
- 10:11Speaker 5: To everybody, a link.
- 10:12Speaker 7: To the stations, but there's no one that was, that's
- 10:15Speaker 7: actually working at the station that actually was there. So
- 10:20Speaker 7: they're not really sure without watching the video, exactly what happened.
- 10:25Speaker 7: And in the, in the, you know, craziness of newsrooms
- 10:29Speaker 7: in the afternoon, I'm sure it just gets blown off.
- 10:33Speaker 5: They just ignore it.
- 10:34Speaker 4: They, they have the one guy who doesn't even really
- 10:35Speaker 4: work for them. Who's there doing something. I that's crazy, man.
- 10:39Speaker 6: That's where it is now.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Well, I do remember that from the Paxton event that
- 10:43Speaker 4: I went to. There was one dude standing next to
- 10:44Speaker 4: me who had a really fancy TV camera. I asked
- 10:46Speaker 4: him where he worked and he said all three of
- 10:48Speaker 4: the TV stations. And I was like, how do you
- 10:51Speaker 4: work at all three? I didn't know that was a thing.
- 10:53Speaker 4: And then I just kept going. But now you've explained
- 10:55Speaker 4: it all these months later.
- 10:57Speaker 5: That's awful.
- 10:57Speaker 4: But yeah, if you look for a coverage of the
- 11:00Speaker 4: press conference yesterday, Houston Chronicle has a headline up.
- 11:04Speaker 5: Click to Houston, as you said, the Texan, nobody else.
- 11:07Speaker 4: So we're going to be fourth on this list and
- 11:08Speaker 4: we're going to get it live from the people who
- 11:11Speaker 4: were involved in about.
- 11:12Speaker 5: Yeah, way to go, Wayne.
- 11:14Speaker 4: Wayne texted me their cell phone numbers like an hour
- 11:17Speaker 4: after this story broke yesterday. That is an impressive investigative
- 11:21Speaker 4: journalist skill set.
- 11:23Speaker 5: Like that was amazing, man. I was sitting there.
- 11:26Speaker 4: I was reading that the press conference was going to
- 11:27Speaker 4: happen and I'm getting their cell phone numbers on my phone.
- 11:31Speaker 5: And I'm like, this is awesome.
- 11:32Speaker 6: You know, I am a private investigator, licensed.
- 11:35Speaker 5: By the state of Texas as well. Incredible, Wayne.
- 11:38Speaker 4: All right, so that's coming up in about 13 minutes.
- 11:40Speaker 4: This is the Mob Guys, KSEV Radio, the voice of Texas.
- 11:45Speaker 5: KSEV Radio, 700 AM.
- 11:48Speaker 4: This is the voice of Texas. I am Craig Colonese.
- 11:51Speaker 4: He is Wayne Dolcefino. My mother just texted me and said,
- 11:55Speaker 4: I thought when this show started, you said Wayne would
- 11:58Speaker 4: only be available a couple times a week. He must
- 12:00Speaker 4: really be having fun. He's there every day. I don't
- 12:03Speaker 4: know if you want to respond to that.
- 12:04Speaker 6: All right. Look, Mom, don't press it. Don't push it.
- 12:08Speaker 5: Yeah, Mom, don't make it go away.
- 12:10Speaker 6: I'm going to get up and leave.
- 12:12Speaker 5: No, don't say it out loud. I just got that text.
- 12:15Speaker 6: Go ahead.
- 12:16Speaker 7: I was supposed to be on special assignment.
- 12:18Speaker 5: You were?
- 12:19Speaker 7: Well, not really special assignment because actually I was supposed
- 12:22Speaker 7: to be doing my real job, but I didn't make
- 12:26Speaker 7: it to Austin last night because I was— I was
- 12:29Speaker 7: working late, and then I had to go drink, and
- 12:32Speaker 7: that sort of.
- 12:33Speaker 5: All right, you threw it all off.
- 12:35Speaker 7: I didn't want to pull a Carla Wyatt and drive
- 12:37Speaker 7: to Austin after.
- 12:39Speaker 5: No, the show's better with you here, man. So I'm
- 12:41Speaker 5: thrilled you're here. And actually, I will agree that the
- 12:44Speaker 5: show's better.
- 12:45Speaker 4: Well, and specifically in about and I mean to keep
- 12:48Speaker 4: promoting it eight minutes because we're going to take another
- 12:50Speaker 4: break and we're going to come back and talk to
- 12:52Speaker 4: these two ladies who were involved in a car accident
- 12:54Speaker 4: with Carla Wyatt. And how do you not have the
- 12:57Speaker 4: Emmy award winning investigative journalist guy that works at the
- 13:00Speaker 4: station be a part of that interview?
- 13:01Speaker 7: Yeah, we have regular people, too. These aren't famous people
- 13:04Speaker 7: we're having on. They're just like regular people who just
- 13:07Speaker 7: mind their own business. On I-45 when crazy woman comes
- 13:13Speaker 7: roaring through and driving like a maniac. I mean, the
- 13:18Speaker 7: fact that cops said there were no sign, at least
- 13:21Speaker 7: this time, that she was intoxicated, when you watch the
- 13:27Speaker 7: video of it, it's kind of hard to believe that.
- 13:31Speaker 6: Right.
- 13:32Speaker 7: And apparently she wanted to leave the scene, I think
- 13:37Speaker 7: I saw, because she had an appointment or she had
- 13:40Speaker 7: to be somewhere. Because look, I think that's, look, that's
- 13:43Speaker 7: what I do. When I hit three or four cars.
- 13:45Speaker 5: You got to go.
- 13:46Speaker 6: Please, you know who I am? I'm Wayne Dolcefino. I've
- 13:49Speaker 6: got to get to a place.
- 13:50Speaker 5: I can't possibly stay here.
- 13:51Speaker 4: It had nothing to do with the fact that she
- 13:52Speaker 4: had no insurance at the time that she got in
- 13:54Speaker 4: this accident, which is also an important thing.
- 13:57Speaker 6: No insurance is overrated.
- 13:59Speaker 5: It is, especially when you're Carla.
- 14:00Speaker 4: But like, honestly, man, this is a embarrassment to a
- 14:04Speaker 4: degree that you don't get a whole lot of places.
- 14:06Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 14:07Speaker 4: Like, There aren't a lot of communities that have a
- 14:09Speaker 4: treasurer that's behaving this poorly on a consistent basis and
- 14:13Speaker 4: keeps her job.
- 14:14Speaker 5: But right now, that's what's going on.
- 14:16Speaker 7: I will tell your mom that I was, after the
- 14:20Speaker 7: first DWI, I was willing to give her, oh, the burglary.
- 14:28Speaker 6: I think it was the burglary that happened first.
- 14:29Speaker 7: Sure.
- 14:30Speaker 6: Right.
- 14:30Speaker 5: The breaking into the car that she thought was hers.
- 14:33Speaker 7: I get a car, she thought it was hers. Okay,
- 14:35Speaker 7: maybe there's... some extenuating circumstances. And then she had the DWI.
- 14:40Speaker 7: And I think that's what I said. You know what, Carla,
- 14:42Speaker 7: why don't you quit?
- 14:43Speaker 9: Right.
- 14:43Speaker 6: But to not resign like by now.
- 14:48Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 14:49Speaker 6: Is, is more than just shameless. It's, it's just so wrong. Yeah.
- 14:57Speaker 4: To try to weather this one is crazy. And by
- 14:59Speaker 4: the way, for anyone who hasn't seen the video since
- 15:00Speaker 4: Wayne did talk about it, you watch Carla's car and,
- 15:04Speaker 4: go across three lanes and then plow into the back
- 15:07Speaker 4: of another vehicle before other vehicles get involved in the crash.
- 15:11Speaker 4: And it looks like she's pretending the car in front
- 15:13Speaker 4: of her isn't even there. Like, I don't know a
- 15:14Speaker 4: lot of people who drive like that and are doing
- 15:17Speaker 4: fine when they're driving like that.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Okay.
- 15:21Speaker 5: Wayne's the only guy who does that sober. Nobody else,
- 15:24Speaker 5: I think, does.
- 15:25Speaker 4: But anyway, it's just insane to watch because it's literally
- 15:28Speaker 4: a person. If you were behind or in front of
- 15:30Speaker 4: this person and they hit you, you would immediately assume
- 15:33Speaker 4: they were drunk because of how they were driving.
- 15:35Speaker 6: Okay, now back to your mom. Sure. Not issue.
- 15:38Speaker 5: She's happier here.
- 15:39Speaker 6: No, no. And she's a smart woman.
- 15:42Speaker 5: She is.
- 15:42Speaker 7: You know, I didn't want to say this, but I will.
- 15:46Speaker 7: So they called me, the management, and they said, look,
- 15:50Speaker 7: when you're gone, Craig is just lost.
- 15:56Speaker 6: He asks about you before every break.
- 16:00Speaker 5: I do mention you every break. That is true, actually.
- 16:02Speaker 6: And he just is so down. So sad.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Yes, true.
- 16:08Speaker 6: And so I said, you know what?
- 16:10Speaker 7: I wasn't going to come in today, but because, you know,
- 16:13Speaker 7: I don't want Craig to flounder.
- 16:15Speaker 6: Right.
- 16:16Speaker 5: Thank you. You want to help lift up my career.
- 16:18Speaker 5: I appreciate that.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Well, and honestly, a couple of your videos we put
- 16:20Speaker 4: up yesterday on Dolce Vino Consulting did pretty well.
- 16:23Speaker 5: So we'll do that more. We'll put more clips up.
- 16:25Speaker 4: And your video, much better today than the iPad version
- 16:29Speaker 4: of the video yesterday.
- 16:30Speaker 6: What was that about? What was that about?
- 16:32Speaker 4: You didn't have an Ethernet plugged into your iPad, so
- 16:34Speaker 4: it was a Wi-Fi connection. We're fixing it. I'm getting
- 16:37Speaker 4: the station to buy you a thing to help fix it, too.
- 16:40Speaker 5: I don't know why we're talking about this on the radio.
- 16:41Speaker 6: What is the Ethernet?
- 16:43Speaker 4: It's the cable that goes into the computer that makes
- 16:45Speaker 4: the Internet more reliable. You know how you have it
- 16:48Speaker 4: on your laptop if you don't have a cable? Sometimes
- 16:51Speaker 4: your Internet's not as good. But you're sitting at a
- 16:53Speaker 4: desktop computer right now, and it's much faster.
- 16:55Speaker 6: You know, some of our older... Viewers and listeners will
- 16:59Speaker 6: appreciate this.
- 17:00Speaker 7: You know when it's probably time to die soon is
- 17:06Speaker 7: when you don't understand any of the technological terms.
- 17:10Speaker 6: You told me something yesterday.
- 17:11Speaker 7: You said, we'll just go into something and look for
- 17:16Speaker 7: the mix minus something.
- 17:19Speaker 6: And I'm going, what are you talking about? I had
- 17:22Speaker 6: no idea.
- 17:24Speaker 4: I actually sent you a photograph of the AI instructions
- 17:28Speaker 4: on how to.
- 17:29Speaker 6: Get from– AI stuff.
- 17:32Speaker 4: Well, how to get from your app to the thing
- 17:35Speaker 4: that I wanted it to be doing.
- 17:37Speaker 5: And you just ignored that, which I thought was pretty funny.
- 17:39Speaker 6: I wouldn't say ignore is a strong word.
- 17:41Speaker 7: I would say that I just had no idea what
- 17:43Speaker 7: you were talking about.
- 17:44Speaker 6: Hey, by the way.
- 17:44Speaker 8: Yes, sir.
- 17:45Speaker 6: Before we get to our interviews in a few minutes.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Yes.
- 17:48Speaker 6: Did you see the Fox poll on the Texas Senate race?
- 17:54Speaker 5: Yeah, that is tied.
- 17:55Speaker 6: Tied?
- 17:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:57Speaker 5: I think that's pretty good.
- 17:58Speaker 7: If it's tied and that's a legitimately good poll, then
- 18:02Speaker 7: that means Paxton wins.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Right.
- 18:04Speaker 4: We just made money because I did throw our 60 bucks,
- 18:07Speaker 4: our $ 60 on Cal sheet yesterday.
- 18:09Speaker 8: Yeah, I did.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:10Speaker 6: Why not?
- 18:10Speaker 5: I mean, you said I could do it and it's
- 18:12Speaker 5: your money. So why not do it?
- 18:14Speaker 6: What was the percentage?
- 18:15Speaker 5: I can't remember. I think it was like 35, 65.
- 18:17Speaker 4: So we're going to get basically two or three times
- 18:20Speaker 4: the money if he wins.
- 18:22Speaker 6: I'm kind of wondering what it is now because. Sure. Because.
- 18:27Speaker 7: With the poll coming out just, you know, still nine
- 18:31Speaker 7: days before election day.
- 18:33Speaker 6: And it's now tied.
- 18:35Speaker 5: Now it's still 66, 30, 34. So it's really, yeah.
- 18:39Speaker 6: Yes.
- 18:41Speaker 7: Well, I look, I'm maybe it's just wishful thinking, but
- 18:45Speaker 7: even some of the democratic strategists on the communist news
- 18:48Speaker 7: network this morning were, were saying that they, they thought
- 18:54Speaker 7: that Democrats were, should be not too overly optimistic about
- 19:00Speaker 7: winning the Senate.
- 19:02Speaker 5: Yes, they should not be.
- 19:03Speaker 4: No, I think that anything close is really good for
- 19:07Speaker 4: Paxton because the odds of like it's the Beto 2.0 thing,
- 19:11Speaker 4: the odds of any of that information actually being correct
- 19:15Speaker 4: when it comes to how people vote up into Election Day,
- 19:18Speaker 4: they're going to overly vote for conservatives beyond whatever the
- 19:21Speaker 4: data says.
- 19:22Speaker 5: So tied is a win.
- 19:23Speaker 6: All right.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:24Speaker 6: Those Trump voters, right? Yes. Those people that are hard
- 19:29Speaker 6: to pull.
- 19:29Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 19:30Speaker 6: Oh, I hear the music.
- 19:32Speaker 1: You do.
- 19:33Speaker 5: You hear the music.
- 19:34Speaker 4: Russell's playing us into a break so that we can
- 19:36Speaker 4: come back and talk to two ladies that were both
- 19:39Speaker 4: involved in a car accident that also involved Carla Wyatt.
- 19:44Speaker 5: That is crazy.
- 19:45Speaker 4: No insurance. Tried to leave the scene. Just ridiculous story.
- 19:49Speaker 4: The latest from the treasurer here in Harris County. A
- 19:52Speaker 4: whole line of crazy stuff. But Wayne Dolcevino and I
- 19:55Speaker 4: will get to that in just a bit. KSEV Radio,
- 19:57Speaker 4: the voice of Texas. KSEV Radio. 700 a.m.
- 20:02Speaker 5: It is the voice of Texas.
- 20:04Speaker 4: We are the mob guys, as we call ourselves, even
- 20:07Speaker 4: though very much we are judging how the real mob
- 20:10Speaker 4: seems to exist in politics here in Houston. Amanda and
- 20:14Speaker 4: Tina are on the phone with us. They're two women
- 20:17Speaker 4: who were involved in a four car crash that also
- 20:20Speaker 4: involved Carla Wyatt. I think the things that are not
- 20:24Speaker 4: being debated, Wayne, before we jump in and start asking questions,
- 20:27Speaker 4: are that she did not have insurance. that she tried
- 20:29Speaker 4: to leave the scene and that Carla caused the accident
- 20:32Speaker 4: by plowing into the back of one of these cars.
- 20:35Speaker 4: What the explanation is for that, all the other stuff.
- 20:38Speaker 6: I'm sure there's an explanation.
- 20:41Speaker 7: Look, when she first had her first of 9,000 run-ins
- 20:45Speaker 7: with the law over the last year, it.
- 20:48Speaker 6: Was that burglary of a motor vehicle thing.
- 20:50Speaker 7: And her lawyer claimed she had some sort of, and
- 20:54Speaker 7: I'm not making fun of her medical condition, God help us,
- 20:58Speaker 7: I'm just saying that she has some cerebrovascular something, something, something.
- 21:05Speaker 7: And her lawyer suggested that she had a mini stroke
- 21:08Speaker 7: when she was caught burglarizing a car.
- 21:11Speaker 5: Okay.
- 21:13Speaker 6: People have strokes, you know.
- 21:14Speaker 5: Many ones.
- 21:15Speaker 6: Immediately burglarized. Right.
- 21:17Speaker 5: That's what happens.
- 21:17Speaker 9: Right.
- 21:18Speaker 4: And I wonder how often you've heard that as an
- 21:20Speaker 4: investigative journalist when it's not what's going on.
- 21:23Speaker 6: It's a good one. Yeah.
- 21:25Speaker 5: It's a good excuse.
- 21:25Speaker 6: She had the two DWIs.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Yep.
- 21:26Speaker 6: Right. over just a very short period of time.
- 21:31Speaker 7: I mean, you've got to at least stretch out a
- 21:32Speaker 7: DWI at least over a couple of years.
- 21:34Speaker 5: Sure.
- 21:36Speaker 7: And then she does this thing, and I guess as
- 21:39Speaker 7: we welcome the ladies to the Mob Guy Morning Show
- 21:42Speaker 7: on KSEV.
- 21:43Speaker 6: Ladies, good morning.
- 21:45Speaker 4: Yes, good morning to Amanda Byford and Tina Uribe. How
- 21:48Speaker 4: are you both doing today?
- 21:50Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 21:50Speaker 2: We're doing well.
- 21:52Speaker 9: I would like to do a lot better.
- 21:54Speaker 5: You would like to do a lot better.
- 21:56Speaker 7: Okay, maybe we'll start with Amanda. Tell me what set
- 22:01Speaker 7: the scene for me.
- 22:02Speaker 6: What was going on? Where were you? What happened? Okay, sure.
- 22:06Speaker 8: Yeah, yes, sir. So it was September 18th, about 12
- 22:11Speaker 8: o'clock is when the accident happened. And I personally was
- 22:15Speaker 8: heading outbound from 610 from the downtown area going towards
- 22:20Speaker 8: 1960 and 45, right? So all of a sudden I
- 22:21Speaker 8: get hit. And I thought it was actually an 18-wheeler
- 22:29Speaker 8: by the impact, right? And my back tires came off
- 22:33Speaker 8: the pavement, right? And I had clenched down on that
- 22:36Speaker 8: steering wheel really hard because I didn't want to go
- 22:38Speaker 8: into the other lane, right? So anyway, the car that
- 22:42Speaker 8: hit me goes, you know, we noticed that on the
- 22:45Speaker 8: left because I had two other people in the car, goes,
- 22:47Speaker 8: I'm sorry, to the right and then goes and starts
- 22:50Speaker 8: speeding down the highway. And I was like, oh my gosh, okay.
- 22:54Speaker 8: And then all of a sudden she hits, this white
- 22:58Speaker 8: Dodge Durango, and I was like, holy cow, that car
- 23:01Speaker 8: almost went into the 18-wheeler. I said, guys, I'm going
- 23:04Speaker 8: to stop. I'm going to block her in. Well, obviously,
- 23:07Speaker 8: I didn't know who she was at the time, but
- 23:08Speaker 8: I was like, I'm going to block this car in
- 23:09Speaker 8: because I'm not letting this person get away. I blocked
- 23:13Speaker 8: her in, and then I told two people in my car,
- 23:17Speaker 8: I was like, look, I'm going to get out and
- 23:18Speaker 8: figure out who's in here, figure out what's going on.
- 23:21Speaker 8: So I get out of my truck, and then I
- 23:24Speaker 8: walk over to her and I tapped on the window
- 23:27Speaker 8: and I said, ma'am, can you roll your window down, please?
- 23:29Speaker 8: And she did. And I said, ma'am, are you okay?
- 23:33Speaker 8: And she said, yeah, what happened? I was like, okay, ma'am,
- 23:37Speaker 8: are you sure you're okay? Do you have some kind
- 23:41Speaker 8: of medical condition or something like that? And she said, no.
- 23:45Speaker 7: Why?
- 23:45Speaker 8: And I was like, okay, you just hit like three
- 23:49Speaker 8: cars here, right? You just rammed into three different cars, right?
- 23:53Speaker 8: And she's like, what?
- 23:56Speaker 2: Wow.
- 23:57Speaker 8: Oh, I got to go. I said, oh, no, ma'am,
- 24:01Speaker 8: you ain't going anywhere. We just called the cops and
- 24:05Speaker 8: they are on their way. They're probably trying to make
- 24:06Speaker 8: their way through this traffic right now. And she was like, well,
- 24:10Speaker 8: I got to go. I said, no, no. And then
- 24:11Speaker 8: I saw the smoke coming from obviously the airbags. And
- 24:15Speaker 8: as I'm talking to her, right, she's got that airbag
- 24:18Speaker 8: trying to put it back into the steering column.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Sorry, I don't mean to laugh, but that's funny.
- 24:27Speaker 5: Continue.
- 24:28Speaker 6: Right.
- 24:28Speaker 8: Who does that?
- 24:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:29Speaker 8: So then I was like, okay, she could actually, you know,
- 24:33Speaker 8: try to flee.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Right.
- 24:35Speaker 8: So I was like, Oh, you're in the smoke was
- 24:37Speaker 8: coming from the car. And I was like, look, it
- 24:39Speaker 8: is smoking in here. You're you've got to get out
- 24:41Speaker 8: of this car. This thing could blow. And she wasn't
- 24:43Speaker 8: really trying to, you know, listen to me. And then
- 24:46Speaker 8: I looked down and I was like, Oh my gosh,
- 24:48Speaker 8: you got, well, you got gas, you know, leaking from
- 24:50Speaker 8: the car. I said, and smoke, you got to get
- 24:52Speaker 8: out of here. Uh, you get out of the car.
- 24:55Speaker 8: And she looked at me and I was like, still
- 24:57Speaker 8: was dazed and confused, and I said, listen, ma'am, I'm
- 25:00Speaker 8: an engineer. I'm going to tell you right now, this
- 25:02Speaker 8: car could blow. You've got to get out. And then
- 25:03Speaker 8: she came to. So then all of a sudden, she
- 25:05Speaker 8: started getting all her jewelry, all the pearls and stuff
- 25:10Speaker 8: that she had on the visor and everything. I was like,
- 25:15Speaker 8: who cares about your dang pearls? Get you out of
- 25:17Speaker 8: the car, right? And so anyway, she finally got out
- 25:20Speaker 8: of the car, and then that's when Tina was coming
- 25:25Speaker 8: towards our direction, and And anyway, so fast forward, the
- 25:30Speaker 8: cop gets there and he, you know, basically says we
- 25:35Speaker 8: need license and registration, you know. So I go over
- 25:39Speaker 8: to my truck. I don't have my license or my card.
- 25:42Speaker 8: Everything's on my phone, right? I said, everything's digital. I said,
- 25:47Speaker 8: I can't even remember my password right now, sir. And
- 25:49Speaker 8: he goes, oh, no problem. No problem. He said, just
- 25:51Speaker 8: give me your license.
- 25:52Speaker 9: And I said, okay.
- 25:53Speaker 8: He goes, I can look it up. I was like, Perfect.
- 25:55Speaker 8: So he comes back and he goes, yep, yes ma'am,
- 25:58Speaker 8: you're insured with Allstate. And I said, okay, so you see?
- 26:01Speaker 8: So he did that to everybody. And then.
- 26:05Speaker 5: He did that to everybody.
- 26:08Speaker 8: Well, I don't know if he did that to her.
- 26:12Speaker 8: She gave a paper copy.
- 26:13Speaker 5: What did you want to say, Wayne, real quick?
- 26:15Speaker 6: Did you know that she didn't have insurance?
- 26:18Speaker 8: We had no idea.
- 26:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 26:20Speaker 8: We had no idea. I literally did not find out Personally,
- 26:26Speaker 8: that night I went and filed a claim on her insurance.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Right.
- 26:30Speaker 8: They should have already told me right then and there
- 26:33Speaker 8: that this claim has been inactive. But, no, the intake
- 26:36Speaker 8: person from AAA took the whole claim, right, and said
- 26:41Speaker 8: an adjuster will be getting with you, you know, in
- 26:43Speaker 8: the next few days.
- 26:44Speaker 6: Right. But it turned out she.
- 26:45Speaker 8: Didn't have insurance.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Right.
- 26:49Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 26:50Speaker 8: The adjuster waited a week later, like Thursday is when
- 26:54Speaker 8: he called me and he said, ma'am, I'm so sorry.
- 26:57Speaker 8: I've got bad news for you. And I'm like, what
- 26:59Speaker 8: do you mean? And he said, well, she, the Carla Wyatt,
- 27:04Speaker 8: she does not have her insurance policy that she had
- 27:09Speaker 8: had has been inactive since July. Yeah.
- 27:13Speaker 7: Because she had been busted twice for DWI. Hey, Tina,
- 27:16Speaker 7: let me ask you real quick. Um, look, it looks
- 27:21Speaker 7: on the video like if she's not drunk, she's crazy.
- 27:25Speaker 6: But what do you think?
- 27:29Speaker 9: Well, for her to be hit and run and hit
- 27:34Speaker 9: and run, I don't want to say she's crazy, but
- 27:38Speaker 9: she's crazy.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Well, Tina, also give us your experience. So you were
- 27:44Speaker 4: the other car that was hit from behind. What happened
- 27:46Speaker 4: for you?
- 27:48Speaker 9: Yes, I am the white Durango. I was driving from
- 27:52Speaker 9: a photo shoot. I am a realtor, so I was
- 27:55Speaker 9: just coming from a photo shoot, doing video from a home.
- 27:59Speaker 9: And I was driving home to meet with my family.
- 28:03Speaker 9: And all of a sudden, I get this vehicle. I
- 28:06Speaker 9: looked in my mirror. I'm like, this lady or not lady,
- 28:11Speaker 9: this car is coming straight at me.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 28:14Speaker 9: And then I look in front and I'm like, oh,
- 28:16Speaker 9: my gosh, there's an A2 owner. So I'm getting prepared
- 28:19Speaker 9: for impact. I grab my steering wheel real hard. I
- 28:22Speaker 9: cannot move to the left and I cannot move to
- 28:25Speaker 9: the right because I have vehicles. So I don't want
- 28:28Speaker 9: to hit anybody else. So I just grabbed on.
- 28:32Speaker 3: And then all of a.
- 28:32Speaker 9: Sudden, I get that push. And it seems like she
- 28:36Speaker 9: did not press her brake at all. So I'm pressing
- 28:39Speaker 9: on my brake as hard as I can so I
- 28:42Speaker 9: don't hit that 18-wheeler. After that, I didn't know what
- 28:46Speaker 9: happened because... I just look back and I see a
- 28:50Speaker 9: whole bunch of people coming at her, running and blocking
- 28:53Speaker 9: her in. And I'm like, oh, my gosh, she's probably
- 28:56Speaker 9: having a medical condition, this driver. So a good Sumerian
- 29:01Speaker 9: stopped by and said, hey, you just got into a
- 29:03Speaker 9: car accident. Hold on. Stay still.
- 29:06Speaker 6: Relax.
- 29:07Speaker 9: I have it all in dash cam. And I looked
- 29:11Speaker 9: at her and I'm like, wait, what? Like, what's going on?
- 29:14Speaker 3: Hold on.
- 29:15Speaker 9: And then she's like, give me your phone. Let me
- 29:17Speaker 9: get your number. I'm going to give you it. She
- 29:19Speaker 9: stayed until I was able to get out of my vehicle.
- 29:22Speaker 9: Then she went back to her vehicle and send me
- 29:25Speaker 9: those dash cams. If I didn't have that, she would say, allegedly,
- 29:30Speaker 9: I wasn't there or allegedly I was.
- 29:34Speaker 4: Well, it sounds like two pretty big things happened. It
- 29:37Speaker 4: sounds like one, Amanda, you did a pretty good job
- 29:41Speaker 4: of making sure Carla didn't actually leave. And neither of
- 29:43Speaker 4: you know who this person is when you're doing this.
- 29:46Speaker 4: But Amanda, you boxed her in is how you described it.
- 29:48Speaker 4: So her vehicle couldn't escape. And then, Tina, you wind
- 29:51Speaker 4: up being given the dash cam video that I'm assuming
- 29:54Speaker 4: is the video that we've now seen on television where
- 29:56Speaker 4: you watch the car plow into the white vehicle without
- 30:00Speaker 4: it seeming like breaking at all. The the the pieces
- 30:03Speaker 4: that all came together for this to happen seem to
- 30:05Speaker 4: be pretty amazing. When did either of you know that
- 30:09Speaker 4: she was a public official?
- 30:12Speaker 8: Well, so when the cop came over, you know, right
- 30:15Speaker 8: at the end, he gives us these pieces of paper
- 30:18Speaker 8: that had our information on it, right? And so he's like,
- 30:20Speaker 8: take a picture of everybody, of all this. And I
- 30:23Speaker 8: was like, okay. So I took a picture of everything,
- 30:25Speaker 8: and then I forwarded it to the two people in
- 30:28Speaker 8: my vehicle. Well, the one that was in the back,
- 30:30Speaker 8: she was like, oh, my gosh, I just Googled this person,
- 30:34Speaker 8: and she is a Harris County official.
- 30:38Speaker 6: And I was like, what? Yeah.
- 30:39Speaker 8: And so then we were like looking at it and
- 30:41Speaker 8: they're like, she goes, well, look at this picture and
- 30:43Speaker 8: the pictures that we have from taking her picture, you know,
- 30:45Speaker 8: at the scene. And I said, oh, yeah, it does
- 30:47Speaker 8: look like her. And then, of course, then we Googled
- 30:50Speaker 8: her address. And sure enough, right there, you see the
- 30:53Speaker 8: sign in her yard. Here's county treasurer. And I was like, oh,
- 30:57Speaker 8: my gosh, here we go.
- 30:59Speaker 7: Hey, guys, let me ask you a question. I mean,
- 31:01Speaker 7: I don't know your politics and it doesn't really matter.
- 31:04Speaker 7: But but how did you hook up? with the Republican
- 31:08Speaker 7: Party to have that press conference? And does your politics
- 31:13Speaker 7: make a difference here? Or is this just a public official, Democrat, Republican, whatever,
- 31:18Speaker 7: that just shouldn't be.
- 31:19Speaker 6: In the office?
- 31:24Speaker 8: Tina, you want to go before? I'm going to tell
- 31:27Speaker 8: you right now, I don't have a preference. I just
- 31:31Speaker 8: know that when you do wrong, you do wrong, right?
- 31:35Speaker 8: And I'm on the honor system. So if you come
- 31:37Speaker 8: in there and you do what she just did, you
- 31:40Speaker 8: should be able to have to pay for every penny,
- 31:44Speaker 8: every penny, right? Now, knowing that she's a Harris County
- 31:48Speaker 8: treasurer and people sending me floods of information on her,
- 31:52Speaker 8: and then especially the burglary and theft, and I was like,
- 31:55Speaker 8: told Channel 2 News, you know, how do I feel
- 31:58Speaker 8: about that? And I was like, well, I mean, she's overseeing,
- 32:01Speaker 8: you know, billions of dollars here, and she's a beef
- 32:05Speaker 8: what's what's going on at the city right you know
- 32:08Speaker 8: i'm i'm a professional you know working the oil and
- 32:11Speaker 8: gas and i'm i'm going to tell you right now
- 32:12Speaker 8: we get we get audited every year internally and externally
- 32:16Speaker 8: so i feel like the city needs to be um
- 32:20Speaker 8: uh you know audited as well to find out where
- 32:22Speaker 8: all this money is going this should be something you
- 32:25Speaker 8: know held accountable there.
- 32:26Speaker 4: As well absolutely um tina the same question to you
- 32:29Speaker 4: are your politics involved in you going public with the story.
- 32:33Speaker 9: No, politics is not what I'm here for. It's about accountability.
- 32:42Speaker 9: As a citizen from Harris County, and knowing now that
- 32:46Speaker 9: she's a public official, she needs to do right. If
- 32:50Speaker 9: we're going to vote for different parties, we need to
- 32:52Speaker 9: make sure who is running, what they are capable for
- 32:57Speaker 9: our county. So I'm not here to say don't vote
- 33:01Speaker 9: for her, but just open your eyes, because if she
- 33:05Speaker 9: doesn't have insurance, what else is she doing behind, you know,
- 33:09Speaker 9: with our money, with our tax money? So, yes, just
- 33:13Speaker 9: do right. Just just I just want her to do right.
- 33:17Speaker 4: And I guess I think a lot of us know this,
- 33:19Speaker 4: but when it's probably I think this is a good
- 33:21Speaker 4: question to ask. How are you guys as far as
- 33:23Speaker 4: the vehicles right now? She has not done anything to
- 33:26Speaker 4: pay for any of the damage to either of your cars.
- 33:30Speaker 9: No, not at all. She has not contacted us. She
- 33:34Speaker 9: has not. You know, there's videos roaming around that she
- 33:37Speaker 9: doesn't even think that she is guilty of hitting us.
- 33:42Speaker 9: She said, allegedly, well, there's the proof. You're hitting and
- 33:45Speaker 9: running two vehicles and then threatening to me. And nothing
- 33:50Speaker 9: happened to her. But yet, if I would have hit you,
- 33:53Speaker 9: you would have.
- 33:54Speaker 8: Made a big deal.
- 33:55Speaker 9: I would have had to walk that line, and that
- 33:58Speaker 9: cop would have arrested me right then and there.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Sure.
- 34:01Speaker 9: It didn't matter what time of hour it was.
- 34:03Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:04Speaker 5: Amanda, you wanted to say something, too, to that?
- 34:07Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 34:08Speaker 8: You know, so that's the weird part of it, you know,
- 34:12Speaker 8: especially— obviously, both me and Tina would have walked the line, right?
- 34:17Speaker 8: Would have definitely gone to jail. Now, that cop, to me,
- 34:20Speaker 8: sounded very weird, you know, because when he came over
- 34:24Speaker 8: and he told us, he said, well, I talked to
- 34:26Speaker 8: the lady and she said the reason why you guys were,
- 34:29Speaker 8: she hit you guys, y'all were all stopped on the freeway.
- 34:32Speaker 8: And that's when we're like, oh, no, no, no, no.
- 34:34Speaker 8: We have the dash cam. You know, and he's like, oh, really? No,
- 34:37Speaker 8: can I see that? And we're like, You sure can.
- 34:40Speaker 8: You know, and I made sure that he saw it,
- 34:41Speaker 8: you know, multiple times. And then especially when we exited
- 34:45Speaker 8: the freeway into the gas station, you know, you know,
- 34:48Speaker 8: we're there for a while. And so I was like,
- 34:50Speaker 8: you know what, I'm going to go show him that
- 34:51Speaker 8: dash cam again in slow-mo. I want him to see
- 34:54Speaker 8: this because I'm thinking she should be arrested. You know,
- 34:56Speaker 8: like what's going on here? And I find her in
- 35:00Speaker 8: the front seat of the cop car. And so she
- 35:02Speaker 8: starts getting out. And I thought that was strange too.
- 35:04Speaker 4: Sure.
- 35:05Speaker 8: And he goes, yes, ma'am, would you want, I said,
- 35:08Speaker 8: I want to show you the, um, the dash cam.
- 35:10Speaker 8: I want you to actually see what happened here. And
- 35:13Speaker 8: he's just like nonchalant about it. So, you know, keeps
- 35:17Speaker 8: writing the stuff down on the piece of paper, you know,
- 35:19Speaker 8: taking our information.
- 35:21Speaker 4: But that is the dash cam that then eventually made
- 35:23Speaker 4: it onto television too, right? Like the thing that we've
- 35:25Speaker 4: seen is the thing that you guys originally got provided
- 35:28Speaker 4: to you by a good Samaritan.
- 35:31Speaker 8: Yes, that's correct.
- 35:32Speaker 6: Okay. Real quick.
- 35:34Speaker 7: Um, the, um, I know when people have rec, sometimes
- 35:37Speaker 7: they're shaken up or a little stunned or whatever. Did
- 35:40Speaker 7: you guys, like, smell anything on her breath?
- 35:43Speaker 6: Did you think she was intoxicated?
- 35:46Speaker 8: So I was the one that was, well, really up
- 35:51Speaker 8: close and front with her, you know, especially, you know,
- 35:53Speaker 8: when you roll down a window, you could probably smell
- 35:55Speaker 8: in the car, right? I didn't smell any alcohol. Now,
- 35:58Speaker 8: I do know that there's alcohol that doesn't smell at all, right?
- 36:00Speaker 6: Right.
- 36:01Speaker 8: But I do know that she had to be on something.
- 36:06Speaker 4: You say that because of you say that because of
- 36:08Speaker 4: her behavior and you started it. I want to I
- 36:10Speaker 4: want to make sure that everybody, if anybody's just tuning in,
- 36:13Speaker 4: you started this by describing her as someone who hit
- 36:15Speaker 4: your car, then hit Tina's car. And we see the
- 36:19Speaker 4: dash cam video like she hit it without even seeming
- 36:21Speaker 4: to break at all and then acted like she had
- 36:23Speaker 4: no idea what happened when you boxed her in and
- 36:26Speaker 4: got her to talk to you by rolling her window down.
- 36:29Speaker 4: She's behaving as though you don't know that she just
- 36:32Speaker 4: hit you and a couple other cars.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Right.
- 36:35Speaker 3: Correct.
- 36:36Speaker 8: Correct.
- 36:37Speaker 5: Yeah. So describe more of how she behaved, if you
- 36:40Speaker 5: don't mind.
- 36:42Speaker 9: Well, when I went over there to check on her and,
- 36:45Speaker 9: of course, I went to see, hey, are you having
- 36:47Speaker 9: a medical condition? Are you OK? She said, what happened?
- 36:52Speaker 9: And then I'm like, you just caused an accident. You
- 36:54Speaker 9: hit a couple of people and then you ended up
- 36:56Speaker 9: hitting me real hard. uh what's going on she's like
- 37:00Speaker 9: well you know what i'm late can you move out
- 37:02Speaker 9: the way i'm like excuse me what in.
- 37:05Speaker 3: The world no i'm sorry i'm gonna be late to
- 37:10Speaker 3: a meeting and i'm like okay and you just stopped
- 37:13Speaker 3: me from having lunch with my family yeah no ma'am
- 37:17Speaker 3: you're not going nowhere so.
- 37:20Speaker 4: You were you were the car at that point that's
- 37:22Speaker 4: in front of her and she asked you to move
- 37:24Speaker 4: so that she could.
- 37:25Speaker 6: Leave How dare you ladies stand in the way of remediation?
- 37:29Speaker 5: Were either of you injured? Do you mind telling us that?
- 37:33Speaker 3: Well, I do.
- 37:36Speaker 5: Go ahead, Amanda. Yeah, go ahead. Amanda, go first and
- 37:38Speaker 5: then Tina.
- 37:38Speaker 8: Mine's going to be really short, you know, because I
- 37:40Speaker 8: do have a lawyer. My lawyer didn't want me to
- 37:42Speaker 8: talk about my injuries.
- 37:43Speaker 5: Gotcha.
- 37:44Speaker 8: But, yes, I am injured.
- 37:45Speaker 5: Okay, thank you.
- 37:46Speaker 8: Tina?
- 37:48Speaker 9: Yes, I'm injured as well. Yes, I have seen reports
- 37:52Speaker 9: that she said, oh, nobody was thrown out the window. No,
- 37:56Speaker 9: thank God nobody was thrown.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Out that window. I mean, goodness.
- 38:00Speaker 9: Yes, I am injured. Yes, I was in shock at
- 38:03Speaker 9: the time. I left there with a headache and dizziness
- 38:07Speaker 9: and almost fainting. My husband had to drive me to
- 38:10Speaker 9: the ER.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Wow.
- 38:12Speaker 9: But does she care about that? Is she worried about that?
- 38:15Speaker 8: No.
- 38:16Speaker 9: I am speaking out today because she needs to put
- 38:19Speaker 9: a stop to this. Does somebody really have to die
- 38:23Speaker 9: to get this attention?
- 38:26Speaker 3: No.
- 38:26Speaker 9: Let's open our eyes and put... put her away, put her,
- 38:30Speaker 9: she needs help. She needs help.
- 38:33Speaker 8: Driver's license may be taken away. Like she needs to help.
- 38:36Speaker 8: She needs to pay for everything that she has caused because,
- 38:39Speaker 8: you know, this has taken a lot of our time,
- 38:40Speaker 8: you know, away from our jobs, you know, and it's
- 38:44Speaker 8: a lot of anguish, you know, I'm frustrated.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Right.
- 38:47Speaker 8: And, and here's another thing that I wanted to say is,
- 38:50Speaker 8: and Tina can probably talk to this is when we
- 38:52Speaker 8: were at the gas station, you know, normally, you know,
- 38:55Speaker 8: she should be, you know, in the, uh, the car
- 38:59Speaker 8: of the, uh, wrecker, right? Well, no, she's out sitting
- 39:04Speaker 8: there taking pictures of both our vehicles, of our, our
- 39:08Speaker 8: license plate and everything.
- 39:10Speaker 9: And I was like, are you kidding me?
- 39:12Speaker 8: Like, man, what are you doing? Like you hit us.
- 39:14Speaker 8: You shouldn't be taking pictures of our vehicle, our license plate.
- 39:17Speaker 8: You should, you should be, uh, sitting on the, um,
- 39:21Speaker 8: the record.
- 39:22Speaker 7: Right.
- 39:22Speaker 8: And then she, she said something about Tina, um, saying
- 39:27Speaker 8: it was her fault.
- 39:28Speaker 9: Yes, that I was just there in the freeway stop.
- 39:32Speaker 9: And I'm like, I looked at her, I'm like, are
- 39:34Speaker 9: you serious?
- 39:35Speaker 3: No, ma'am.
- 39:36Speaker 9: And she knew no one was recording, so she was
- 39:39Speaker 9: starting to get a little competition.
- 39:41Speaker 3: Like, no, ma'am.
- 39:44Speaker 9: And I told her, well, she doesn't know that I
- 39:45Speaker 9: have the dash cam, so we'll just See what happens.
- 39:49Speaker 9: We'll let the insurance deal with it.
- 39:51Speaker 7: Wow.
- 39:52Speaker 9: But at the end of the day, she doesn't have insurance.
- 39:55Speaker 9: My insurance only cover my property damage. And I'm out
- 39:59Speaker 9: of pocket with my injuries.
- 40:00Speaker 6: Wow.
- 40:01Speaker 9: Not only that, they didn't cover all my property damage.
- 40:04Speaker 6: Wow.
- 40:04Speaker 9: Because I didn't have that hidden, what is it called?
- 40:09Speaker 5: The uninsured vehicle.
- 40:11Speaker 6: Uninsured motorist. Correct.
- 40:12Speaker 4: Wayne, I know we're running out of time, ladies, and
- 40:15Speaker 4: I thank you both for making the time.
- 40:16Speaker 6: Yeah, I really do. I just wanted to know, would
- 40:19Speaker 6: you vote for her?
- 40:20Speaker 5: I think.
- 40:24Speaker 9: You can answer it now for me.
- 40:27Speaker 8: Okay.
- 40:28Speaker 5: OK, it just seems like a no.
- 40:31Speaker 4: Actually, I have one last question before we let you go.
- 40:33Speaker 4: There was a big story about her getting a giant raise.
- 40:36Speaker 4: I think it was back and forth and she was
- 40:38Speaker 4: asking for a bunch of money and then maybe she
- 40:39Speaker 4: got less than what she was asking for.
- 40:41Speaker 5: I wonder how that story landed on the ears of
- 40:43Speaker 5: both of you.
- 40:44Speaker 4: Two people that feel like she has not only done
- 40:47Speaker 4: something where she owes you some restitution, but she's, you know,
- 40:51Speaker 4: refusing to even have a conversation.
- 40:55Speaker 9: Well, she went to the city to ask for a raise.
- 40:59Speaker 9: Why can't she come to us and say, you know what,
- 41:01Speaker 9: let me make it right for you.
- 41:02Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Let me make it.
- 41:03Speaker 9: Right for you. Because I did cash, you know, I
- 41:07Speaker 9: did this damage to y'all. I interrupted your life, and
- 41:10Speaker 9: here I am taking accountability. That's what we mean in
- 41:14Speaker 9: the office.
- 41:16Speaker 6: Yes. I totally agree. Hey, ladies, y'all are very cool.
- 41:20Speaker 7: I think it's great when regular folks step up to
- 41:24Speaker 7: help educate us. about local officials because otherwise we probably
- 41:28Speaker 7: would never even have heard about this wreck. And I
- 41:34Speaker 7: just thank you. You all seem like cool ladies and
- 41:36Speaker 7: we appreciate you being with us.
- 41:38Speaker 9: Well, thank you for taking the time. talking to us
- 41:42Speaker 9: as well.
- 41:42Speaker 6: Sure.
- 41:43Speaker 4: I doubt both of you thought you'd do a television
- 41:45Speaker 4: press conference and then a radio show with the mob guys.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Thank you both for making the time. I know we're
- 41:51Speaker 4: late for a break, so we've got to get a
- 41:52Speaker 4: break in real quick. It is KSEV Radio. That was
- 41:56Speaker 4: Amanda and Tina, the two cars that you can watch
- 41:59Speaker 4: the video of Carla Wyatt hitting. First Amanda's and then
- 42:03Speaker 4: later Tina's. Crazy that this is the latest in a
- 42:07Speaker 4: line of.
- 42:07Speaker 5: Stories about this person.
- 42:09Speaker 6: Resign, Carla. Resign.
- 42:11Speaker 4: Seriously, the KSEV radio show is telling you to resign.
- 42:14Speaker 5: That is our position on this. Quick break. A lot
- 42:16Speaker 5: more on The Voice of Texas. KSEV radio.
- 42:20Speaker 4: The Mob guys, we have like a minute here, and
- 42:22Speaker 4: then we've got to take a break and do some news.
- 42:23Speaker 5: He is Wayne Dolcefino. I am Craig Colonese.
- 42:27Speaker 4: It is awesome to host a radio show with an
- 42:30Speaker 4: Emmy Award-winning investigative journalist.
- 42:33Speaker 6: Oh, whatever.
- 42:33Speaker 5: Dude, because the interview we just got was all you.
- 42:38Speaker 6: Oh, well, no, but look, I know something.
- 42:41Speaker 7: It really sucks when you get into a wreck with
- 42:45Speaker 7: someone who's uninsured.
- 42:47Speaker 6: Yes. Forgetting all the other stuff, right? The public official part,
- 42:50Speaker 6: everything else. Yes. Just in terms of just annoyance of life.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:56Speaker 6: And that's why illegal immigrants... They don't have car insurance.
- 43:01Speaker 5: They don't. Yeah, they can't.
- 43:03Speaker 7: At least they're not supposed to, but they're not supposed
- 43:05Speaker 7: to vote either, so who knows?
- 43:06Speaker 5: Well, who knows?
- 43:06Speaker 1: All right.
- 43:06Speaker 5: Well, we'll come back.
- 43:07Speaker 4: We'll talk about probably this story a little bit more
- 43:09Speaker 4: and a lot of other stuff. Catch our podcast. If
- 43:12Speaker 4: you didn't hear the interview we just did with Tina
- 43:14Speaker 4: and with Amanda, the two women. who have come forward
- 43:17Speaker 4: that were part of the car accident, the four-car accident
- 43:21Speaker 4: that involved Carla Wyatt. And the video seems to show
- 43:24Speaker 4: her driving fairly recklessly.
- 43:25Speaker 5: To say the least.
- 43:26Speaker 6: All right.
- 43:26Speaker 5: Quick break.
- 43:27Speaker 6: You're being generous.
- 43:28Speaker 5: I'm being generous. Quick break. A lot more. The Mob
- 43:31Speaker 5: Guys on The Voice of Texas.
