A Kansas priest, Father Ryan McCandless, has been arrested on three felony charges of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, allegedly involving a six-year-old between July and September last year. Arrested at his Wichita home by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, McCandless was then serving three parishes in Republic County and previously worked in multiple communities across the state. The Diocese of Salina confirmed they reported the allegations to authorities and immediately removed him from all ministry duties.
