- Prashanthi Nuthi: Hello friends, during my commute to office, my gas light went was on. I saw a gas station right there, but I kept on driving because I wanted my 10 cent discount with BP. after driving for almost 45 minutes, I reached the next BP gas station. Only to find out that it was one dollar more per gallon. I ended up paying more. than what I would have paid in the previous casting. all this while I was optimizing for the discount and I forgot to optimize for the total cost. We do this all the time at work, in our projects, in our leadership. We always try to optimize what we can measure easily. And we overlook what actually matters. Here's the microboost for you today. Ask yourself, am I optimizing the right thing? Because sometimes you might save more when you ask a slightly different question. Remember, small actions, big impact. Until we meet again next time, let's keep making impact together.
