- 0:31[SPEAKER_02]: How's it, Bill's fans?
- 0:32[SPEAKER_02]: Lance Nelson here, president of Billton Buffalo, welcome into the triple coverage podcast to my left Scott Cassin to my right Benjamin Schupe.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_02]: The bills have entered the chat, making a splash today in the next iteration of the NFL offseason, frenzy, DJ Moore is now a Buffalo bill.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: we're going to get into our reaction to that, a little bit of free agent talk and some combine as well.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_02]: Substitute.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing much.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's a crazy day for Buffalo Sports fans, slot going on.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: Unexpected news, news that's maybe some people were also expecting, just depending on which
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: where you were with the sameers and if you obviously nobody was expecting to be able to make a trade today.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, a lot of news is just looks like they're to talk about it here and it's only getting started.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_02]: Scott Cassen, what's going on, brother?
- 1:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was an exciting, an exciting day for the season starts off excited about DJ Moore will talk about if they gave up too much the contract stuff like that but the bills needed to prove in weapon on the outside and they went out and got one so
- 2:00[SPEAKER_03]: excited that they did something they made the biggest splash move they've made at why receiver since the staphon digs trade so excited to do it yeah role right into a brother give us your initial reaction when you saw the news come down so I first saw the trade for DJ more I was pumped like I loved it I like DJ more a lot
- 2:22[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's a really good player.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_03]: He can stretch the field.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's bit since 2003 and in 20 arts or stepsions or something like that.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_03]: He's the downfield receiver that the bills need.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_03]: Like we saw in the playoff.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_03]: He made that huge play to beat the packers.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_03]: He had another
- 2:42[SPEAKER_03]: big play to beat them the regular season like DJ Moore is a good player.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_03]: He's first round pick for the Panthers had his worst season as a pro last year, but I think that was I think that had more to do with the overall offense and had to do specifically head like I don't think he's lost a step or anything like that.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_03]: They just had a lot of mouth to feed.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_03]: then they ran the ball a lot and his target share around his career been averaging around like 20 425% last year dropped out the 16.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_03]: I know there were some questions about his effort that some people didn't like, but if you're used to being a number one receiver and you're used to getting the ball a quarter of the time and it drops down to 15%.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's probably going to piss you off, so hopefully it was that and hopefully coming into work with Joe Brady who he's worked with before and have some of the best years his career with in Carolina and a quarterback like Josh Allen and a spot where unless they bring in a bigger receiver than him, which I don't see them doing, where he can really be the number one again, I think he's going to thrive.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm excited about it like I said, but then it came out that they gave up a second round pick.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_03]: I was hoping it would be a three or a four.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_03]: And then you figured they would take on the whole contract and they have ways, it's a 24 million dollar capet the next two season, there's ways they can make that better by covering the signing bonuses without I'm sure that they'll do.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_03]: And then it came up that they guaranteed 15 million for the third year when he's gonna be 31 years old.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_03]: So went for being a two year thing to a three year thing.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_03]: So I still like the move.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_03]: I think they probably did give up a bit too much, but still.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_03]: They had to do something.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_03]: They had to take a risk.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_03]: And if he comes in and he is the number one receiver and he's an 11, 1200-yard receiver, it makes impactful plays and big games.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_03]: You're not gonna care about the second round thick instead of the third round pick.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm still excited about it.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe they gave up a bit too much.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_03]: You know, there's other guys out there like AJ Brown, which people are talking about.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think
- 4:45[SPEAKER_03]: the bills were ever going to be in on him the asking price for him they said it was the first in a second I don't think he's worth that so they made a move it's he's a quality I think still number one receiver and again it works out who cares if it's in the second or third route day yeah yeah I really like airs if don't know what else care I really I sorry I didn't hear you said like um
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: I really like the fit for for the offense.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he's a guy that can come in and they'll probably primarily use him as the extra shiver, but he can really use him anywhere, and that's the other good part is he's not a guy where you're trading for him and you know, okay, while what about everywhere else?
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: And is it gonna mess up when Brady wants to switch things up?
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: So I like the fit.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: I like the player a lot.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: I believe on top of being top five and in 20 plus yard plays I believe top five since 2023 in yards versus man coverage and he went we've top five and and grading when it comes to against man coverage and touchdowns were so he's a separators, which is the one thing that I think everybody has been screaming for for two years.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: So that's the part that kind of is funny to me that you go get or receiver that fits exactly what everybody wants, but it's not how they want them to do it or they gave too much up.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: And I also think people again, for the past two, three years, they've been talking about the Rams and be more like the Rams.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: And the Rams a few days ago made a trade that people also said that it was an overplay.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: It was a huge overplay for what they gave up for Mac Duffy.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: That's what teams you've won wanting him to do it.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: I've been wanting him to do it.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm glad that they're doing it.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: They're getting up a pick and me up.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it is a little bit of an overpay for a good receiver.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_00]: Who I think is very easily a wide receiver one for this team.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they now need a number one.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_00]: He is the number one.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: He can be a number one.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: He's been one.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm excited about it.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: I like it.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think I was in your boat Scott too.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: Like I was hoping it would be less than that.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: I was thinking at first it would been like a three for him and then we get also like a seventh back.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: So getting it to and it would be getting a five back is not the worst thing in the world.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: You still have
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: I really don't get the, the, the big uproar of giving up this account pick, I mean, good teams will do that.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: And we've been wanting to do that and give up picks, but when it's not the way then that they want it to be it sucks.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the money.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not happy about it either.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_00]: But.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: Um, like I said, I think that the way he fits, you can easily get two good years out of them that urge your if he starts to decline.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it will be, uh, something that will burden them three years from now.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I like DJ more as a player in a vacuum.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_02]: Love having DJ more on the team.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_02]: Really, really hate giving up a second round pick and taking on his contract.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: for DJ Moore.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like you said, Ben, he's top, top separator in the league.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: I get it.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_02]: He's gonna do good things in a, maybe first year barring injury, second year, you know, still be good.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_02]: We don't know how far after that, but we've guaranteed him $15.5 million in the third year now.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see where he is at that point.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_02]: Can he be, can he warrant that contract at that point?
- 8:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_02]: The biggest reason for my skepticism is now you spend a second round asset on a wide receiver, and we're going to get into this topic too.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_02]: What does that do for your wide receiver board in round one of the draft now?
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: Are you going to spend your first and second round assets on wide receivers likely not?
- 8:57[SPEAKER_02]: And
- 8:59[SPEAKER_02]: That means we're not getting Omar Cooper Jr. And I just impissed off about that Ben.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: I just really am, if I'm being honest with you.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: I am.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's the guy that I think if you keep taking veterans and you lose out on these younger guys that you get cost control and you don't get, you could get a fuller reward from getting these younger guys in the building.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: And I just think that this might take away from that.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: You could glance, you could get a guy as good as DJ Moore out of the draft.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: You could, but you also could not, and that's true.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: The other thing.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: And they could.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: It could be a box of chocolate draft.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: It was like a box of chocolate.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_02]: I get it.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: I get it.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't know.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just telling you what my initial thoughts were.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, well, they're probably not going to get a good wide receiver and round one anymore.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: Well, here's the other thing.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to go.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_03]: But we don't need to.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_03]: We got a good wide receiver with 360.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: I also feel like this is the other thing is when we're talking draft, it changes so fast once the season.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: Even when now mode, it changes so fast for it's where now receivers, before the season ended, this receiver class was not really good, it had a few guys at the top.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's got a lot of guys that could be good, like could be all right, but it's not that good of a class.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: And then the season ends and all of a sudden, everybody starts talking about these receivers
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: They think of them completely differently, that's the way I'm looking at it is this is not a good class Whether you people want to say Anything about oh well, it's got deep when it comes to any position in this class It's overall not a good class.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: That's why people even at the trade line we're talking about Who cares about these draft picks?
- 10:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a good class next year's a good class.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: I mean that's the thing is We it's it's either have to be one way or the other if you want them to get rid of picks and go get proven guys
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: or you want them to keep the picks and go draft.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: I am glad they traded it.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think, because that's the other thing.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: If you draft a guy in the sack around, let's say they still don't go, we'll see if we're in the first.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: You draft a guy in the sack around with that draft pick.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's, I just don't know if the expectations what the expectations would be compared to when you have DJ Moore.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: I think they would be lower.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I think people would be still
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: skeptical and still uncomfortable because any receipt or key receiver is risk.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I think, you know, that's the other thing Eric just said it here.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: The very first sentence Josh is not getting any younger.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: You could take a draft guy.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: They did that two years ago.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: They drafted a guy and it didn't work out.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: So you could have had a cost control guy, but it didn't work out.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I just heard it from me here, Roy.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_02]: I just criticized the trade for.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: But that's any time you're going to trade for a problem guy.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to come to money is doing it then people wanted Mike Evans for 15 plus million dollars at 33 years old, but they're upset about DJ more.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: who had also doesn't miss games like Mike Evans just did all last year with the lingering hamstring injury and then also freaking agree.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, it's not about DJ more.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's about the receiver that if you take the name away from it, like, yeah, the dude's good, like you said, separator.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: And I said this, like,
- 12:12[SPEAKER_02]: he's going to be good and I know we need to win now but you also have to keep setting your team up for this for the future and if if DJ more trade futures now old man but that's it for DJ more trade here there's all bills fans have yelled about is going pasting up on these guys here's a future go win we don't we also don't know if they're passing up on these guys and I know you've recently
- 12:40[SPEAKER_03]: Like, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've, you've
- 13:03[SPEAKER_03]: And if it doesn't work, then yeah, you can say it's a bad trade, but like if this team, the only thing that matters for the bills in the next, however long Josh Allen is in his prime, which what's that?
- 13:14[SPEAKER_03]: Two, three, four, five years is winning the Super Bowl in that season.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_03]: Like the building for three, four years from now, like I get it, like it almost doesn't matter.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_03]: DJ Moore makes this team better tomorrow.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what matters.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm for it.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_03]: They had to make a risk.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_03]: What I would like you to be a lesser pick in a second.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_03]: But absolutely got the four for the 60th pick in the draft like I'll take.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_03]: And the contract is big, but there's what they're going to be able to push some of that down the road, spread it out.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_03]: His cap number is not going to be $25 million this year or next year, like they had to make a big swing, and which as far as receivers who was available, and that was realistic, I don't think you should get.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: And they're receiving room, let's say, two years from now on, he's in that third year, Palmer's contract's coming off the books.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_00]: Samuel, his, his, his, his, his, his, his three hundred fifty million.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_02]: Samuel needs to be off the books right now.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you'll have, you'll have Shakira on there, but she kills a great deal.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not like this is going to hinder how you can spend in that room in two years, either.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's the other thing.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: I, I just think,
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, like, yeah, it's a little too much.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_02]: You got to tell me where she was done guys into this, into this roster and I just hope that it doesn't, I hope it doesn't all throw their plan in the draft and it maybe it won't.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like Scott said, maybe it doesn't change anything because maybe they weren't going to take the first round guys anyway.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they were going to wait for a different, different set of guys and Scott's going to talk about a guy with a great name coming up later.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, we'll talk about that sort of thing.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_02]: So I totally agree that you could see the bills still do some things at wide receiver.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: And let's get into that topic.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know that we really touched on the fit in the offense.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to say something about that while you're saying this as well.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_02]: But so what do you think are the bills done at wide receiver now?
- 15:15[SPEAKER_02]: Or do you think they're going to do more?
- 15:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're done, um, I think there's a couple options they have like they could still go get somebody in the third round they could trade up like they have picks they they could they could they could say fm picks all the way till next year's pick like I that's where I'm also at like get rid of the picks I don't care you want to trade up.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: or you trade three of them to still get your guy.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: So they could do that.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like you could still take one at round one.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think though, like it's not a bad idea, I saw up throwing out their Christian Kirk has always been a guy that's been linked to Josh Allen.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: If you can get them cheap and like say bring back cooks, that would be a six receiving group and what with Shavers on IR that's top six, I would be very happy with that.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: Even if whether you keep Kian or not,
- 16:04[SPEAKER_00]: That top five to me would be great of DJ Maurek Shakir Palmer I just Kirk and even if you draft you can even draft like I with getting Kirk so like I think the options are all over I don't think they're done at wide receiver now I don't think that they go trade for another big name.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think they would be insane if they did that But I I don't think they're done.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think that you could easily get a guy
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: of a great value in rounds three through five this year in the draft and still bringing a vet on a cheap deal if you want.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they're definitely not done at the position right now as we said we got T.J. Moore, we got Shakir, we got Kian, we got Palmer, was there in most likely locks to make the roster next year unless something crazy happens, Samuel probably going to be gone.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't hate bringing cooks back because he's most likely going to be affordable.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_03]: We know he fits in the offense.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_03]: We know they like him and he would be that deep, another deep, both threat.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_03]: Shapers, I don't know how long he'll be out because his knee injury sounded like it was just an ACL and it relatively minimal swelling so he might even be backed by the start of the season.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_03]: So that's a fifth guy there.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, they're going to need to find another receiver that could be in the draft.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe they're someone they fall in love with in the first round.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_03]: We take them maybe that's later And rounds can be through five as a mid guy.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_03]: I've seen like on social media people throwing out like dobs is still in the mix And other those people on XA go like they're not done yet.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_03]: Like I don't think they're done But I would be very surprised they took a swing at a 12, 14 million dollar a year wide receiver now that they've done this, but I do think they're gonna try to find a speed guy
- 17:50[SPEAKER_03]: defense kind of a guy.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_03]: So I think that this room is missing that like kind of speed threat.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_03]: We got a lot of guys who can separate, but maybe not necessarily anybody who could just run straight by you.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_03]: So if they do bring in someone, I would like to see if you saw someone like that.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like Eric said, Hollywood Brown.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_03]: I mentioned him a couple weeks ago.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_03]: I think that would be someone who would fit in pretty well.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_03]: And again, it would be pretty affordable.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: What about Mark
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: I hope they're not done.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to talk about free agents.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_02]: We like coming up and things like that.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_02]: But I still think they need to get draft maybe two receivers and bring in Jalen Nailer.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, that's my...
- 18:34[SPEAKER_02]: that would be my plan.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you can have enough, you know, some of these, one of the guys would probably be a practice what, uh, later round pick that you bring in and just see if they can do the Tyrell universe type deal where he spends some time there and by year three or so could be a good special teamer at worst and maybe a good receiver will see.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_02]: But, uh, fifth and sixth round picks have been, uh, decent for Buffalo and we'll see if they could maybe grab a receiver there and those slots as well as maybe one towards the top.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_02]: of the draft.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_02]: And then we'll see what they do.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_02]: Infraredancy as it opens next week, I would suspect they bring in one more guy at least.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Scott, tell us about the Sam Franklin contract and what your thoughts are on the special team's ace staying with Buffalo here,
- 19:30[SPEAKER_03]: I like it a lot.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_03]: It's a kind of one of those under the radar deals most likely because he only plays special teams.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_03]: I think you got he got on the field for defense during the jet game when we were running on the bodies and put that on the backups, but he's a good special team guy.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_03]: It's three years.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: He should have put him in an order instead of Maxwell Hurston, right?
- 19:51[SPEAKER_03]: Well, he was already on the field, so that would have been impressive, but
- 19:54[SPEAKER_03]: Um, yeah, right.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, the cap pit people when it first came out were saying, oh, seven million for a special team guy.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_03]: That's why beans a bad GM is like, the highest the cap it is is 2.6 mil for a guy who's going to play four aspects of special teams and be consistent and be a leader on the team.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's, I think it's a good deal.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_03]: The guy, guy seemed to like them.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_03]: He's good in the locker room.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_03]: He's great on special teams.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_03]: And if they do decide to cut them, there's no dead cap after this season.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, happy that Sam Franklin's back.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_03]: Not a lot there.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_03]: Look at the good sector.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the 20's currently listed as the 27th highest capit for this coming year.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm okay with that.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: Is it also front loaded?
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_00]: Are you loaded?
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was for, I thought I saw somewhere as front loaded.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it was actually the lowest cap number this year.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so it's back loaded then.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe I'm
- 20:53[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, yeah, it's, uh, it's middle-loaded.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: I actually also ran them, John, because this is kind of like a similar player to San Franklin.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_00]: I guess in terms of money and just, I guess, important to the team potentially, uh, Reggie Gilliam.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, I think that he will want to see his market.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I don't think he's signed yet.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_00]: I think he'd love to be back.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_00]: But I think he's going to want to see his market because he's probably at this moment the top fullback.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: I know where cards out there too, but he's a old fullback.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think Gilliam's going to go test his market and potentially get paid pretty well for a fullback, of course.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: But sorry, I just wanted to touch on that.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I agree.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: All right, Connor McGovern,
- 21:41[SPEAKER_02]: Before the reports came out, I had sent Connor a text, he had come on the show and we had been in contact over the last season.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_02]: And he had said that he hadn't heard from Buffalo since the locker clean outs and thought that it wasn't likely that he'd be back, but then the reports came out shortly after that text exchange that he was likely
- 22:05[SPEAKER_02]: not going to return to Buffalo.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_02]: So guys, give your thoughts on Connor McGovern and the situation surrounding the bills interior offensive line.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_00]: It is interesting here because there wasn't a report today that they talked at the combine.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'm guessing that it was probably the agent just talking to him at the combine.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: If they did talk and maybe just didn't mention the counter like, hey, we talked.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it was probably about nothing really.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_00]: Like it was probably just not in depth talks, but they were just having base talks.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure his agent is other people's agent too, right?
- 22:38[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I'm also assuming that they're just so far off right now and what the bills can
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: what McGovern's camp is looking for because they are going like players that are going to cash in like he's one of them.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_00]: He's some people say the top center in the market right now.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_00]: There's a couple of them out there, but I don't think he'll be back.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: I still would absolutely love it, but I just think, especially now that you get your bring in D.D.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: more, you knew they were going to spend somewhere whether it was receiver.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: line wherever it is.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_00]: And it doesn't make it impossible with this DJ more move.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_00]: It definitely makes it harder.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: It just depends on how much they decide to push back if they decide to go all the way down to six million dollars with him.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you could bring them back, but then it's just the question of, well, what's the year's next three years looking like after you do bring the govern back at a good, a big price, as well as DJ Moore's money being pushed back.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: So it's going to make a tougher if they do want to bring back the govern.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think they will still love it if they somehow did, though.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, with the money, they just took on for DJ Moore.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_03]: I know they can bring that down from $25 million to about $7 million, thus by restructuring it to a bonus.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_03]: Still hard to imagine that they bring back a MacGovern or Edward set a bummer, because the offensive line, very rare.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_03]: They have the same offensive line for two full seasons, damn near three full seasons, I've been here before.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_03]: And they played so well together,
- 24:18[SPEAKER_03]: You got to make toys in somewhere and they felt I guess the need was bigger at wide receiver than offensive line.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see how that works out.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_03]: And I also Brand him needs to carry everyone bitch in I don't believe, but maybe that's where they go early in the draft and tear offensive line or maybe they know there are some free agents at there.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_03]: You know, want to come to Buffalo that aren't going to be as expensive, you know.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, you know, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock, rock,
- 24:53[SPEAKER_03]: If they didn't like him, he wouldn't still be here.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yavale Ganderson, who can probably play guard or center.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, they probably feel that they have replacements in house, or they have an inside trap to who those people are going to be, and it'll be less expensive than Tonner would be.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_03]: Robert, because the same thing I'm going to show him is a good boy.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, Scott.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_03]: No, you're good.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_00]: I was going to, I was going to say, can you have a show that's good guy we like him, but we have the same conversation when Mitch Morris was leaving though, like what we're going to do.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely dead here.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: And they found two guys on cheap prices.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_00]: They could do that exact same thing, but Lance, sorry.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_00]: Go ahead.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_02]: No, you're good man.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_02]: I was just agreeing that, you know, that's one of the things that stuff because, you know, you like a guy, bills just have great guys at center.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_02]: It seems like all the time, which is really weird, like Eric Wood was super good, super good dude.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I think that the bills have plenty of options.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_02]: I would expect to bring in at least one guy, though, from free agency to, and maybe the draft even to try to fill an interior spot of some sort of.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_02]: But Scott, do you project Anderson to be a center or a guard?
- 26:12[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I know we can do both.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: But if he was going to be a starter next season, where would you predict he starts?
- 26:20[SPEAKER_03]: So that's how I wouldn't have said center until the visual round game when Conor went to Kintoshan protocol that Alec came in and played set, which surprised me, because he hadn't played much center, and I don't remember him even playing it much in the preseason.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_03]: when they started, you know, the BTM offensive line, SVPG played center against the jets, and Halik has played even tackle more recently than Garntop.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_03]: I would thank you projects more to a guard, just because I would think that's where he's more comfortable.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_03]: You did have a couple questionable snaps in the Broncos game, but guys, it snapped a ball in live action, who knows since when, so That's going to be a little tough, so I think they view him as being able to play anywhere, and I also think they think SDPG could probably play both spots, so it may come down to
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: Right on.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: It'll still have more levers to pull, guys.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know, Ben, and do you have a list you want to read or do you want to just mention a couple of levers that you feel like is
- 27:40[SPEAKER_02]: Are you are your favorite ones to pull I guess I can fill in the gaps for whatever you guys don't touch on.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: So feel free to give us a few levers you think you are easy for the bills to pull and what you think about what they might do to free up some more cap space.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I don't think they should cut Curtis Samuel because they don't want you to love him lands.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_03]: It's also detail more as best friend.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: People want to talk to me about it.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't think either cool and shake again, yeah, they're out of the other, it's an actual, I get they, you know, the hug, but they do before you team.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: I sma cloud just scored short hand and great goal.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, let's go, um, break.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, have any points out?
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of it kind of already known what they're going to do and we already know they will do it like gosh Alan you know they're going to restructure
- 28:42[SPEAKER_02]: The other way people don't know Ben, maybe you shouldn't be so assuming.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: Tell us.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_00]: Once he gets cut that day's money, Taylor rap is another one.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: They will most likely cut him in my opinion.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_00]: You can save a good chunk of money there.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_00]: Tyler Bass is another one.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's going to be a new kick of this upcoming year.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_00]: I know that they shall grow Bass should be ready for next season, but it's just such a big,
- 29:07[SPEAKER_00]: cap it that I think that they could look at it and say we can save three million dollars here in draft a guy late or bringing it like again he was not that that great of a kicker that it's like something that I feel like they'd be only comfortable moving on from him.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's will they won't they I think it's right now 50 50 if they will or won't but I think it just depends and if they have a guy or two maybe that they do want on that cheap
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: $2 million contract that they're like, hey, this will help us get this guy, and we'll go elsewhere or kicker.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: So that's one.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if there's anybody that really is a heavy trade candidate, the only one again is still Keon, but it's just I don't think they'll get what they're looking for with Keon.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they would look to do something like get a three and we'll give you Keon and a four or Keon and a five to help move up.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think they'd be fine with that.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't know if a team is really that interested in Keon to do that.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like, is that any team going to look at Keon Coleman right now and say, yeah, I mean,
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: trading back from the third to the fourth round or starting to the fifth round.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if a team's going to do that.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I mean, there's a million restructures.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: They can do whether whether it comes to any player or most players that they can restructure.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: So they're going to pick and choose what they're going to do.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: I still am not sure, Scott, you might know this, if they do sign Milano back, that doesn't free his money up anymore, right, because it had to be before the deadline.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, because I was going to say that there were there used to be that, but now unfortunately it's passed that that line for for these guys that are going to become pre-agents that have four years They could also do that.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the technically restructure is just adding four years, but We'll see what happens, but those are the ones that I got.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you guys got any of that that I really met there Yeah, I mean, Josh is the big one like you mentioned
- 31:00[SPEAKER_03]: Um, Deon, they can restructure and they can restructure at all over two.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_03]: Basically anybody with a big base salary number can and probably will be restructured.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_03]: You mentioned cut candidates.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_03]: So we had a per later on, but we might as well just do it now while we're talking about it.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_03]: Dawson Knox something's going to happen with him.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_03]: I forget what this cap number is off the top of my head, but I know it's it's high.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_02]: 17 million.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was going to say 19 didn't want to be wrong.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_03]: And I would have been.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_03]: They're either going to take a straight pay cut like he did this past year or they'll caught him and try to bring him back.
- 31:34[SPEAKER_03]: No one's trading for that contract and also we send that I pick with it which we're just not going to do.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_03]: So something's going to happen with the loss of knocks.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with you, Ben.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_03]: I think Tyler Bass could be a cut candidate.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_03]: We'll talk about this as we get closer to the draft, but I think it's a very real possibility to go strapped a kicker or a puncher in this draft because they maybe need both.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, there's a lot of levers they can pull, bringing in the state of the DJA more money.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_03]: They're probably like 20 million over the cap right now before they restructure him.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_03]: So there's a lot of stuff they're going to do to get cap compliant.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_03]: They're going to have to do that by Wednesday next week.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_03]: So, I would imagine we'll start seeing all of those come through the bills.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_03]: Have a way of doing everything all at once.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_03]: They cut everybody in the same day.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_03]: They do their restructures.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm sure they're being worked on.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_03]: It's where they've already even been agreed to.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_03]: Just a matter of when we find out about them, but it will be before Wednesday.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Dawson Oaks, obviously, you're going to save about 10 million with his release.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to have some dead cap there.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_02]: Samuel is like he said, the one everybody knows, even though maybe everyone doesn't know or maybe everyone doesn't believe it Scott or I'd been.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, rap, I think is probably an easy one.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: I do know how to have, I see, I, you know, you brought up knocks.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_00]: I do just want to touch on that as well.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_00]: Restructure.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_00]: And it's a form, I guess, of restructuring.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_00]: I really wouldn't be shocked if in the next week or two, you hear of an extension, not a restructuring or a cut.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think you could see an extension that pushes the money back years so that if lower is his cap hit now, majorly, and then he can get two or three more years at a, also still lower, not $14 million, but you extend him because he'd want to be here.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he would accept saying, hey, I'll take last money this year.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_00]: If you add a few more years,
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: And I can make more money by the end of the contract.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe less over all my career if I were to get released and go elsewhere, but I'm still in a place that I'd love.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_00]: So, or maybe they call up Tennessee and they say, hey, Brian Dable, would you like a tight end that you've worked with before to help Cam Ward and your young quarterback there?
- 33:48[SPEAKER_00]: They could also be that.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_00]: But I wouldn't be shocked if in the next week or until you get an extension.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_03]: Well, he will say, no, thank you.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think you got to cut Dawson Oaks and just bring them back on a different contract, probably.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_02]: But Josh Palmer probably isn't going to be released.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_02]: If he is, it's June 1st as an nation, because the savings is 5 million.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: It only saves 500,000 to do it now.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't make any sense.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_02]: And you have 11 million in dead cap.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_02]: But if you do it after June 1st, and you have 5 million
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: go anywhere could could be traded and to get the same 5 million savings, but probably not going to be released outright, just yet.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: Lance, do you think Toronto Johnson could be an option that they cut?
- 34:37[SPEAKER_00]: I know that a few weeks ago we talked about it heavily, but now they've kind of talked about Toronto a little bit more and they seem fond of him, but we've also seen teams of the players in the league and Rogers said.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, we both just think even though be fond of players and then a week later, they are cut or released or whatever.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_00]: So what do you think of Toronto Johnson?
- 34:59[SPEAKER_02]: I think they are able to sort of restructure or cut his overall pay and make it incentivized so he can make everything back based upon us incentives for, you know, and they get creative with that sort of thing all the time.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's where Toronto Johnson fits in this offseason.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they haven't out in his deal.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_03]: You can save a bit of money if they decide to cut them.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_03]: They talked about me moving them to safety at the combine.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_03]: And again, like you said, a lot of times, and guys talk guys up, or if you talk guys up, it's because they're about to try to trade them somewhere.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know who's taking that contract.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_03]: Also, obviously, how he fits in the Jim Warner's defense.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_03]: And they can make a guy with fit in fine, but who knows?
- 35:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so yeah, we just deal.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the way his deal is structured with a spot track, according to spot track, at least it would be another June 1st designation type move because you're saving 8.6, almost 8.7 with the June 1st designation, whereas you save 1.9 doing it now, and then like 730,000 from now, from March 15th to 6-1.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe a post-June first, again, release or
- 36:19[SPEAKER_02]: He would have to be a post-shoon first to make any sense.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_02]: All right, if you haven't done so, please hit that like and share button.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_02]: Shout out to our sponsors, big tree in.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's wing night over at the big tree in, so if you haven't had dinner yet, please go over there and grab some wings.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_02]: I love the Murphsauce over at the big tree in.

- 37:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's great time at the big tree in there and scots there.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the best part about it Wing nuts Buffalo Sorry
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: 75 cent wing night tonight, but we've had big three and two, absolutely.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_02]: So get out there.

- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: They've had us over there a few times with some players doing some content.

- 37:36[SPEAKER_02]: John and Quanna have been more than gracious and we have big shout out to those guys for running a world-class operation ever.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: Wingnuts Buffalo.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_02]: 7-1-6 barbershop if you haven't done so, get over to the cut-up and book your cut.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_02]: Broadway and Dupue is 7-1-6 barbershop there, so book with Dennis and his staff today, and then lastly, Lancaster and Norb bounce house, we think them hosted my son's birthday party over the winter time, great clean fun, fire arcade included, so even had a blood drive in their space there over the past month here, so a lot of cool things down there in Lancaster for the Lancaster and Norb bounce house.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: All right, with that out of the way, uh, take us in the free it and see Ben.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, uh, legal tampering period starts Monday.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_00]: So as we said, it's right there or it came up fast, right?
- 38:32[SPEAKER_00]: It really feels like, uh,
- 38:35[SPEAKER_00]: Not too long ago, we were just talking about how it's so far away that we have so many weeks to talk about this stuff and now we're here We're starting Monday.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of a lot of different options.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_00]: They can go with a lot of needs the bills have lineback or safety.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_00]: Is wide receiver still in need a line I mean, there's a lot of different positions that they're going to have to figure out.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_00]: Do you like where are they going to do?
- 38:58[SPEAKER_00]: So we're all so far So I thought you say
- 39:04[SPEAKER_03]: on their backs.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_03]: You're a name in a lot of positions.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: The quarter.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_00]: They could go up.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_00]: It's not even a list of backup.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_00]: They need lands back up quarterbacks the need.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_00]: It is a need.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_00]: So you can list a backup quarterback if you want.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_00]: Um, every week, we've all got to eat for free.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_00]: Adrian options last week was actually kind of interesting because Lance and I was bored.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be a little switched around now.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_00]: We did talk about that as we did last week or top three is that it could you our board could say the same it could say the exact same week to week But plans and I are kind of forced to with this recent DJ more news and the kind of a government news So yeah, top three will go three your number three to your number one will start with you Lance What is your number three favorite option for the bills going into reagency after the DJ more move?
- 39:53[SPEAKER_02]: a guard Dylan Parham, I'll take for a 500 Alex, but I think his market value is about $10 million and solid four year guy, 26 and a half years old right now, coming off some decent seasons in
- 40:13[SPEAKER_02]: Vegas there.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_02]: So would like to have him come in and maybe be able to start for four or five years on the interior here, hopefully solidify.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we can see another same line up for another two or three years in a row.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_00]: He'd certainly be playing with better people next to him than he did in Vegas.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_00]: That's for sure.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they turn his career around a little from the rough years with
- 40:40[SPEAKER_00]: rough help in Vegas as well.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_00]: Scott, who do you got at your numbers three?
- 40:45[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, right three, I'm going to DJ Reader knows tackle on the Lions last season.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_03]: He's a big boy, 63, 330 in the latter half of his career.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_03]: So probably only going to be like a one year relatively affordable deal, but the bills need to know tackle.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't really have anybody who can plug up that middle in a three four type of scheme.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_03]: I think DJ Render is a guy who could do that and could come in and just plug and play.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the Lions heavily dependent on him also because I believe we make Neil missed a lot of time this year with an injury.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_00]: So there be a tough, tough loss.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_00]: And how will this he do to say?
- 41:28[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, he will be 30.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_03]: to for the for the season starts now.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think we're talking about him when he was a free agent in the 24 off season two, right?
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: Potentially be an interest or we I guess maybe we were talking about him as a potential option for Buffalo.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm going to talk.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_03]: That's what they say.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, bring a little veteran in there.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yeah.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_00]: My number three is
- 41:59[SPEAKER_00]: My number three is kind of probably one that I know people still might be like, why is this still your number three is Romero Dobbs land or Scott, you mentioned you?
- 42:07[SPEAKER_00]: Not a huge fan of it.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm not a huge fan of it, depending on how much you're in a spandon.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not if you're going to probably spend 15 to 18 million.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_00]: I might not be as big of a fan, but if you can get them for around 10 to 12, I would really like that because then to me, that's your three receivers for the next three years.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_00]: You have them for the next three years.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to worry about receiver for the next three years.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_00]: can be a player that can be a caliber of a DJ more, can be an elite separator, can be a guy that can do a little bit of everything.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_00]: Not to mention he wears the Guardian cap.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_00]: So you can always know where he is on the field because he's kind of a funny look.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm a huge fan of him.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_00]: You guys have known her being talking about him in the past few weeks.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_00]: And if you can get him on that 10 to 12, he's going to be my third option.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_00]: You guys have anything on doubts, or should we go back?
- 42:57[SPEAKER_00]: We'll go back to Scott on the number two.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's a stupid idea.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, land, lands where you, you're, you're, you're opinion, but uh, lands, you want to go right in your number two?
- 43:07[SPEAKER_00]: Or not, land, Scott, you want to go right in your number two?
- 43:09[SPEAKER_00]: Who do you got?
- 43:12[SPEAKER_00]: Is it my turn to land?
- 43:13[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I've got two.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_00]: I said last, I said never mind.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_00]: It changed my Scott.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_03]: You said a lot of things, I don't know.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't know.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_03]: Listen.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_03]: My, my second option.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_03]: We have some holes to fill on the offensive line.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_03]: So it seems same guy I mentioned on our show two weeks ago.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_03]: We did create and see Isaac Smollew from Steelers played with our new offensive line coach there.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_03]: 10 year starter in the league again, probably on a relatively affordable deal.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_03]: Because he's been around for a while, signed real one or two year deal on just plug and plug and put him right in.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to start at guard and then you'll have one more offensive line hold.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, I've had a great day with Edwards is getting 20 looking at deals that we're going to be looking for in this Phu agency is deals deals deals.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I liked parham is just because it's a similar, you know, 10 million and you can probably get them for more than one year hopefully and maybe get some continuity over a couple of years here.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_00]: Is your second guy also in affordability guidelines or is he going to
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: for a Syracuse product, a surprise surprise.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think that it Cisco is affordable for the safety market right now.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's not the top, although I love a guy like Kobe Bryant, just for the name itself, the top market value, there or anything.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_02]: I know I just would be yelling Kobe all the time and also would be getting sad because it was a big mom of fan But yeah, Cisco's valuations more in the three and a half four million dollar range according to spot track.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: So Would would like that.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_02]: He's versatile He's playing some football over the past four years here.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_02]: I believe and I would like to see a Syracuse guy in a bill is jersey for sure
- 45:14[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, I'm going to order the bills to win games.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think they can have both in this case.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_00]: You're talking about when it comes up with Syracuse guy.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_00]: I just changed my list last minute because I just realized, you know, I have one guy that kind of costs a little bit money.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_00]: My name is Wallie, you know, not have a bunch of guys that cost a lot of money.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_00]: So my number two is actually going to be Malcolm Cooce from UB.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_00]: So a UB guy, I did like him.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_00]: But the previous president two years ago, two or three years ago,
- 45:44[SPEAKER_00]: He did tear his ACL two years ago, came back this past year, had a, it's one of those things where I think, if he didn't tear his ACL this year, he could be get doaning a lot more money.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_00]: I really think he's a guy that you can move around, he can bring some past rush to you.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: I really thought that before his injury, he was going to turn into a very good NFL player.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_00]: Might be a little bit cheaper now, his, his on spot track, it still says they have him at about nine million.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'd be a little shocked about that.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be 27 years old, just with kind of the torn ACL history on top of the fact that he hasn't had an absolutely amazing season in the career.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't know nine million.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like a lot.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, 24 and a half sacks in 2025.
- 46:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how much, how that really demands nine million, but, um,
- 46:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, 2023, he did have eight sex and has a third year and his first year of real playing.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I think he could be a guy that you can bring in a little bit cheaper compared to ad dressers and can really perform for them.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_00]: So, for one of the bills.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll go back to Lance, then, for the first number, or we'll go to Scott, sorry, Lance.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna stick with Scott because of the fact that what our lists are.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_00]: Lance, if you have anything on Cones, you could say it, if not, go right in number one.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_03]: I'll go into my number one.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_03]: Sebastian Joseph Day, another nose tackle, bounced around the league a bit.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_03]: It was on the Titans last year.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_03]: Another big boy, six, four, and three, 10.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_03]: And this is just out of a position I need.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_03]: The bills don't have that true line up head up on the center.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_03]: On the roster, they're gonna have to bring one in.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think they're gonna do it through the draft, just because they need someone to come in and play.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_03]: 70% of the SNAP, so I think the guy who's done that has career, so would be another person that can come in on a one or two year deal and plug and play.
- 47:42[SPEAKER_00]: Um, Bill's fan asks how correct spot track usually is.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_02]: I was just going to tape him or response.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're in the ballpark more often than not, but they're obviously not.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: They don't, they don't always be just like anything, you know, those be a few players that get way more and get way less than expected.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_00]: There's some, but I feel like you said, Lance, most of them, they're in the ballpark for, um,
- 48:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, especially just today, that's, the line is going to be an interesting conversation.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like this whole offseason, and especially that, that big boy in the middle, who is it going to be?
- 48:13[SPEAKER_00]: Some people think that they'll just make the unlocker and transition him into that.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_00]: Although, there's no chance of that.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_00]: They have to bring somebody else in.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_00]: And Oliver's a little bit too small to be that.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_00]: So it's going to be interesting to see what they do in that position.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_00]: The reason I had Scott Goe is because Lance and I do have the same number one.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_00]: So Lance, I'll let you go ahead and announce it.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_03]: So it'll always blind over here.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, sometimes great minds think alike.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_00]: So Lance, we got whatever you guys have.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, same as last week, Leo Schnell, I think the versatility that he brings, the familiarity, obviously, with the system playing for Jim Leonard at Wisconsin is just too good to pass up.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's sort of the slam dunk that everyone's talking about here in free agency for the bills makes way too much sense to not happen and think Leo Schnell should be a buffalo bill this season.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_00]: Um, also air it brings up to you think we're going to have a lot of three four.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_00]: So three four won't affect how much they can run nickel or not.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's I mean, yeah, it might affect a little bit.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I definitely will because it's a completely new defensive play color.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_00]: But three four four three you can play nickel Anytime in either of those the three four is mostly just the down line then compared to how many line records you have.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_00]: So if you have four, three, four down linemen, three linebackers, three, four, three down linemen, four backers with, at three or three, three, five or something like that.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_02]: Four.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 49:46[SPEAKER_03]: You can't play nickel out of the three, four.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but it doesn't affect, I think, how much they really will.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_00]: I think that they will be a similar amount of nickel that they'll play because law, I think, just the way, I mean, you know.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_00]: But I just think, how much nickel would be more three, three, five, right?
- 50:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, three, three, five.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_03]: But I mean, if you want to, I mean, maybe it might even make them run more.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_00]: They're still going to run a lot of nickel because they say, yeah, you may make them run even more because they still, they already have the three down line minutes just and I think, though, I mean, if they're saying they want to have aggressive defense, it's probably going to be a mix of they're going to mix up a lot.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to change it up a lot.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, they easily can still run nickel, but yeah, Lance started to go off
- 50:36[SPEAKER_00]: Leo Chanel, that's my number one as well.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_00]: He was my number two, I believe, last week.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_00]: Two or three last week.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I just think like you said, Atlanta.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of a no-brainer.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_00]: You have a guy who already has played for this defensive coordinator, who's young.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_00]: who's affordable and a guy that can really play the game of football and can possibly become a steal of a contract if you can get him back in a defense with a guy that has coached him, knows him and knows exactly what he's going to get so he's going to be able to utilize him right away the way he wants.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_00]: So that is now my number one as well last week I did have a kind of a governor as my number one.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_00]: Lance had number had to end number two and there he's the one that falls out for both of us.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_00]: I did also have Cam Coral as well on nine last week he does fall out just to get a guy that I don't know how much deny we have a spend at every position safe He's one I'd be fine going draft for or even a cheaper guy because I think there's a lot of options I did bring it see John brought up PJ locks got what would you think of PJ lock right now?
- 51:40[SPEAKER_00]: His spot tracks about three and a half from Denver and other Denver guy so used to the system 29 years old
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: So some experience there, if they do sign in a guy like PJ Locke would you think it would be okay that he's the starter next to Bishop or do you think they would say, okay, maybe we still draft a guy to bring competition in.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's like how we talked about a couple weeks ago till.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_03]: I do think he could come in and fit in well because like coming from Denver, but I don't see him necessarily being the comment in the day one, no questions asked starter.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_03]: He wasn't even that in Denver.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_03]: So he could be a guy that maybe comes in as depths.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_03]: He could potentially start, but I don't think he would be like a yep, safety is done.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_03]: Check, but he could be a guy that would definitely fit the system.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_00]: Lance, you just popped up, Eric's kind of here, he has Wyatt Teller, which has been talked about around in the idea, but I don't know how much people are fully in on this idea, yet are you in, how far in are you on the Dwight Teller conversation?
- 52:47[SPEAKER_00]: Are you not at all, you don't really want to, he's older or you're saying, let's write our wrong and bring him back.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't mind having him back.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I just think that the,
- 53:00[SPEAKER_02]: Potentially, yeah, the age with the market value, potentially, that combination isn't as attractive as a younger guy at the same similar number.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I look for.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, okay, he's five years older than Dylan Parham and similar market value.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_02]: Again, spot track's market value would take it for what you will, but I'd rather take the guy that's five years younger, just my,
- 53:27[SPEAKER_00]: My approach right now.
- 53:29[SPEAKER_00]: He's at about 10 million spot track.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_00]: It has him at that that's chunk of change That's not like it's not like it's just you know, sprinkle a little bit out there Do you think there's a chance they could get him for like seven six and say hey You're gonna compete with Alic Anderson and Central Panther and Ranger and we're gonna go with two or three you guys starting
- 53:50[SPEAKER_00]: do you think that his market will be at that 10 million, either you can answer this if they have more of opinion on this.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_00]: But Lance, what do you think?
- 53:58[SPEAKER_02]: So you get, I was harassing you in the private chat and apologize for that.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_00]: While I tell her, right now, he's at 10 million.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_00]: Would it, okay, I'll rephrase it.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_00]: Would your mind be different if inside of 10 million, somehow you can give it like six, and then he comes in and competes, would that be more enticing to you?
- 54:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I think why, why teller's going to compete, right?
- 54:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, why teller competing with Alec Anderson or Studgeon.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I go and you can compose yourself.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let's go.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_00]: You can, you can, I, I think I'm going to tell her at all.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_03]: I don't necessarily know if he's going to demand as much money as some are saying.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_03]: It also depends on what his why it teller wanted to do.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_03]: He's been in all pro.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, he's
- 54:41[SPEAKER_03]: But it's been in Cleveland and yeah, he was there for a couple of those playoff runs, but he's been involved in a lot of bad football teams.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_03]: does he want to try to chase one more bag?
- 54:52[SPEAKER_03]: You could get a $3 or $35 million contract.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_03]: If you want to go somewhere, where he can maybe win a Super Bowl, something he's never really had the chance to do in his career.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe he does take a bit more money to come to a team like Buffalo, where he obviously loves Josh Allen, knows the guys at front office like some.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_03]: So I could see something like that.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if I'm crazy about him at.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_03]: much over 10 million a year, but you know, maybe he signs like a one or two year less expensive deal to try to sign one more after that for another one or two or so.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's possible when I definitely wouldn't hate it.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, I'm not opposed to why I tell her at all.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_02]: Like I said, I think that be a good move.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_02]: Proving guy as talent can help solidify the line.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_02]: No problems with it.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_02]: Just like if I have my choice in an ideal situation, I would go more youth at the same or similar number or maybe even slightly higher just for the five years of youth.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's all I got for free agent talk.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk a little bit more next
- 56:07[SPEAKER_00]: Man, we'll guess and we'll have a lot to talk about when it comes to it.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_00]: So Hector, Hector Talk next week, when it comes to reagents, I'm going to get into some combine and stand out.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, Lance, are you taking this, Scott taking this, who's taking this, are you doing rock?
- 56:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, they're all in fear.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry, they're all in fear, I'm not in fear.
- 56:28[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if it's extraordinary, but I do, okay.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_02]: I just tell you it's short and air now every show last two shows ago.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was just the football extraordinaire overall.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_02]: And what's the college air so.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not I wouldn't say that but since you did, I don't have to.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so let's go through who we just want something quick.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_03]: You know, as we wrap up the show, just the guy that stood out to us at the combine.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_03]: And maybe a guy who, you know, for being.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'm on the good side, maybe a guy who we who didn't have his best showing at the comments, and he got a drop.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_03]: I'll start off with a guy that wasn't kind of on my radar coming into it, but he's a lot more of my radar now, especially that they signed DJ Moore.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe we're looking at more of mid round, wide receiver pick, and that is Bryce Lance, out of North Dakota State FCS Powerhouse.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_03]: They're coming up to the FBS next year, joining them out in the last lovely fun for everybody, but he's
- 57:26[SPEAKER_03]: really fast.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_03]: Like I mentioned earlier, I think this receiving group could use a speedster.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_03]: This is a guy who's projected to be available in a third, fourth, fifth, around.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to four, three, four.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_03]: That's very fast.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_03]: Vertical 41.5, seven second flat, three cone drill, 11, one broad jump.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_03]: So the dude's just an athlete.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_03]: He's the kind of guy that you can, you know, throw it, do you take the top off defense?
- 57:50[SPEAKER_03]: I know lesser competition in the FCS, but
- 57:54[SPEAKER_03]: four three is four three no matter where you're running it so I think that could be got to watch what Lance who did you like at the combat?
- 58:04[SPEAKER_02]: I knew that Mr.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_02]: Sunny was really good at football from his time at a high state but I think it was you know a little
- 58:16[SPEAKER_02]: eye-opening that see you know how he tested and I think it was Julian's dad.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_02]: Very very stylish, if you will, the way he put on a performance there.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_02]: So sunny styles, you know, put on an absolute pre-show there displaying athleticism and I really like displays of athleticism.
- 58:39[SPEAKER_02]: So it was a
- 58:40[SPEAKER_02]: I like him more than I did before the combine knowing he's a good player.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_02]: I remember this.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_00]: I believe his red score would have been a 10 for what both safety, corner, linebacker, and edge.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think one of them might have been 9.96, which is just insane.
- 59:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, mine, my guy is Dylan and I'm going to miss pronounced his last name.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_00]: As you guys all
- 59:09[SPEAKER_00]: Thineman I'm gonna go with maybe right.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know sky.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_00]: You might not know but I'm gonna go with him out of Oregon Was a junior six foot a guy that's Just nailed I mean he nailed the combine when it came to it and he's a guy that I think's rising quickly around a fourth three five So you get your some speed back there and I think that you know for me safety is going to be a big position in the giraffe I'm always a big fan of drafting them
- 59:37[SPEAKER_00]: And I think you can get good safety in the second and third round.
- 59:40[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, we don't have a second anymore.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_00]: You're always straight up.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that you could get one maybe you can go up and get thinemen depending on where he ends up falling.
- 59:50[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, he's going to be my guy that that rose a little bit.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_03]: Sneaky athletic, I'd say.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_00]: Sneaky sneak definite or emphasis on the sneak.
- 1:00:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, give us who you didn't like at the combat.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I got out of Toledo, another safety, I'm going to stick on the safety train for mine, a manual, McNeil, Warren, he's got that early on in the process.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_00]: I was actually very intrigued about another smaller college when it comes to division one football.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_00]: So Toledo, though, out of the Mac conference, he tested that he's six three, so that's the good part.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_00]: Six three, love the height 200 pounds, we're going to four or five two, which I believe
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_00]: Um, still a guy that I'm definitely intrigued by, but I do think he fell a little bit for me, um, just with what the flaws he already had on top of testing that way.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not like, like, I'm, I'm somebody that when I look at the combine, I'm not really majorly impacting what I look at, but when a guy, especially in a lower school, athletically struggling in the combine, my, or smaller school might be just a,
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_00]: A manual, make me on Warren.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_00]: Just relax.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, Dalline and Melkin getting in a little tiff.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_02]: Cash is how, Texas A&M Edge, just unusually short arm measurement.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_02]: And, uh, wasn't sure if he was gonna be in play at 26, if the bill's wanted to go that route, but hoping I'm less impressed given the measurables.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_02]: I often try to,
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_02]: disregard a lot of not a lot of, but some of the measurement stuff and some of the testing stuff given that we've seen them play football on the field and if they're able to do that with their God-given ability in the high levels of college, maybe some of these vegetables don't mean as much as we think, but I think with
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_02]: you know, 30 in a quarter inch arms.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be really tough to be highly successful in a first as a first round pick and whatnot in the NFL.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_00]: But that's one of the few positions and measurements, though, that has data behind it that has shown that, hey, maybe this name was about offensive linemen.
- 1:02:18[SPEAKER_00]: It's pretty much just D line all line with arm measurements that have been shown to.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_03]: That's all all reach.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_03]: And I say the linemen, you can keep the guy off you.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_00]: I do also say that as it's not like a disqualifier there's plenty of guys that can play even if they have small smaller wing spans and arms, but it's just yeah, there's there's some some proven data that's not always the best so.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and then my guy who I thought had a terrible showing up to combine we hunter.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_03]: defensive tackle big guy six three and a half three eighteen a guy who's going to be late first early second thought Maybe he could be a guy and play there if those were looking for that nose, but I don't even know why this guy tested He was either last and second to last and everything that he did out of defensive tackles had those smallest vertical by about six inches
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_03]: 6 seconds low is 40 worse broad jump so I know he doesn't necessarily have to be the best athlete in the world to play knows tackle but you would like to be quick on his feet You know fill up a couple of gaps, but I don't think he's the one so I was very disappointed when I saw for Mr. Hunter Yeah, it's got to be something that I'm disappointed that I'm disappointed I'm not mad at them.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just disappointed really what it is
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_02]: fair.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's what we got for a show today.
