Latest / Armstrong & Getty One More Thing / Guess Who We Found in the Sound Fridge!
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: You'll never guess who we found inside the sound fridge.
- 0:03Speaker 1: It's one more thing.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Armstrong and Getty. We found someone in the fridge?
- 0:08Speaker 1: That's right.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Before we get to that, this is a rare in-podcast
- 0:15Speaker 2: tease for the radio show. Tomorrow on the radio show,
- 0:18Speaker 2: we're going to talk about the growing world of sex dolls.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Really interesting article about it. Technology is improving at a
- 0:30Speaker 2: very rapid pace. Both the physical construction of the sex
- 0:35Speaker 2: dolls is getting better and better and better really fast
- 0:37Speaker 2: as there's more demand. People are spending more money on
- 0:39Speaker 2: trying to perfect it. And with AI and having a
- 0:43Speaker 2: vagina that can respond to what you're saying or your mood.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Is there no.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Delicacy left in the world. Is there no restraint?
- 0:55Speaker 2: And this will be part of my tease, and this
- 0:57Speaker 2: is where it gets troubling. Uh-oh.
- 0:59Speaker 1: It's already troubling.
- 1:02Speaker 2: One company claims they can get you 90% resemblance to
- 1:06Speaker 2: any particular woman that you want. Just show us a picture.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Oh, my. Yeah.
- 1:14Speaker 2: That sounds dangerous. Yeah, thanks.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Wow, this is so crazy.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I'll give you the quick headline.
- 1:21Speaker 1: And what do they cost?
- 1:23Speaker 2: I'll give you the quick headline and then we'll talk
- 1:25Speaker 2: about it on the Armstrong and Getty radio show. They
- 1:28Speaker 2: found a battered sex doll with like, whoever used it
- 1:34Speaker 2: had put bruises on it. I don't suppose with makeup
- 1:37Speaker 2: or whatever. And had matted hair and they found it
- 1:40Speaker 2: in a suitcase alongside the road. And then the idea is,
- 1:45Speaker 2: Is that a crime? Did this person do anything wrong?
- 1:48Speaker 1: I'm on a list.
- 1:51Speaker 2: What are our rules going to be for this going forward?
- 1:54Speaker 1: Boy, I thought I hated the modern world. Now I really,
- 2:00Speaker 1: really do.
- 2:02Speaker 2: It's not all dark and troubling. Some of it is
- 2:04Speaker 2: just interesting. And then the secondhand market for sex dolls,
- 2:09Speaker 2: which is just, I'm going to buy new. If I
- 2:11Speaker 2: ever go that direction, and I don't think that I will.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I think I'm going to spring for a new one.
- 2:15Speaker 2: In particular.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Wow, rich boy.
- 2:17Speaker 2: That's Mr.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Picky.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Not going used. We'll have that on the next Armstrong
- 2:22Speaker 2: and Getty radio show.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Oh, I can't wait. So I will tell you this. Oh,
- 2:28Speaker 1: I'm sorry, metal guy. We're cleaning out the sound fridge.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Cleaning out the sound fridge.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Got a bunch of great audio we couldn't get to
- 2:35Speaker 1: on the show today. Everybody worked so hard, so we
- 2:38Speaker 1: wanted to feature it here on the fabulous award-winning One
- 2:40Speaker 1: More Thing podcast. I will tell you this, Jack, unless
- 2:46Speaker 1: you have strong feelings about what to reveal and what
- 2:48Speaker 1: not to reveal about this clip, the first one. This
- 2:53Speaker 1: is Elizabeth Holmes talking to a documentarian. There is a
- 3:03Speaker 1: Elizabeth Holmes, you remember her?
- 3:05Speaker 4: The unbelievably low-voiced... Weird, uh, bit turtlenecked would be hottie
- 3:13Speaker 4: female tech guru. A single drop of blood can be
- 3:17Speaker 4: run through 200 tests.
- 3:19Speaker 1: That gal who ripped off people like crazy.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Weird or the female Steve jobs.
- 3:23Speaker 4: Hello.
- 3:24Speaker 2: No weird.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Uh, but anyway, so there's a new documentary coming out
- 3:28Speaker 1: about her and do we give the visual before? I
- 3:34Speaker 1: think we do. Okay. So she's sitting there really close
- 3:39Speaker 1: to this guy over like the back of a couch.
- 3:42Speaker 1: And she's got her eyes are wide. She's got an
- 3:46Speaker 1: odd half smile going and she's jiggling for reasons that
- 3:52Speaker 1: I can't figure out. Now, there's a baby here in
- 3:56Speaker 1: the background. She has a baby. Is she jiggling the
- 3:59Speaker 1: bouncy thing with her foot?
- 4:00Speaker 3: I took it as the jiggling had to do with
- 4:03Speaker 3: the baby. She's either bouncing it or she's moving something.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Okay. But so she's got her wide eyes and her
- 4:09Speaker 1: half smile and she's kind of jiggling. And this is
- 4:13Speaker 1: what it sounds like.
- 4:14Speaker 5: I'm not that person. I can promise you that. I
- 4:18Speaker 5: don't have anything to deceive you on. Of course, I'm
- 4:20Speaker 5: not deceiving you. I'm engaging with you as a human being.
- 4:24Speaker 5: Why would I deceive you? There's no reason for me
- 4:30Speaker 5: to do that.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Okay, good chat. You're being real right now?
- 4:35Speaker 5: I'm always being real.
- 4:42Speaker 2: So did you say you.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Let me give the release date.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Did you say you've watched part of this, Katie, or
- 4:46Speaker 2: it's not out yet?
- 4:46Speaker 3: No, I just saw the full trailer and that particular.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Does it look like it's a documentary that's attempting to
- 4:54Speaker 2: out her as a nutjob or rehabilitator or neither? Um,
- 5:00Speaker 2: more so outing her as a nut job.
- 5:01Speaker 3: I kind of took it as they were almost interviewing
- 5:04Speaker 3: her to maybe put some reason behind what she did,
- 5:08Speaker 3: but she just threw them the ultimate curve ball when
- 5:10Speaker 3: she started looking at them, like.
- 5:12Speaker 2: She was going to eat them. Like that famous, uh,
- 5:14Speaker 2: what's his name? Bashir documentary of Michael Jackson.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:18Speaker 2: The whole point of that documentary is for him to
- 5:21Speaker 2: out Michael Jackson as a nut job. That's what he
- 5:24Speaker 2: was going for.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Well, but when you heard that. Anybody on earth who's
- 5:31Speaker 1: having that conversation would have a concerned look on their face.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Of course I'm being straight with you. Why would I
- 5:36Speaker 1: deceive you? But she was doing it with this stabby
- 5:40Speaker 1: the clown face like she was about to come out
- 5:44Speaker 1: of her skin. She looked like a character in a
- 5:47Speaker 1: 1970s horror movie that's possessed by the devil.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Man, her eyes.
- 5:53Speaker 1: She had the crazy eyes.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Well, she's some sort of sociopath on some level, isn't she?
- 5:58Speaker 1: Easily.
- 5:59Speaker 3: But they pan out, and she's also a close talker.
- 6:02Speaker 3: She keeps leaning in and getting way uncomfortably close to
- 6:07Speaker 3: the interviewer's face.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Why would I want to see you?
- 6:10Speaker 4: Oh, right.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I had forgotten. The low voice was a put-on. We
- 6:13Speaker 2: found out when she was finally in court. The low
- 6:16Speaker 2: voice was a put-on. She decided it would make her
- 6:19Speaker 2: sound more have authority than her girly voice.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Right, right. Plus, it helped her command her wolf pup. Balco?
- 6:31Speaker 1: Was that the name of it? Balto, I think. Yeah,
- 6:34Speaker 1: I believe so. It was just a dog.
- 6:36Speaker 2: I forgot about that.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Freaking dog, you nut. Anyway, boy, I can't wait to listen.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I'll watch that. She's one of the great scam artists
- 6:43Speaker 2: in world history.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Yeah, but was she self-delusional? Could be. Or deliberate? I mean,
- 6:49Speaker 1: I gotta admit, I'm intrigued, especially with her stabbing the
- 6:52Speaker 1: clown eyes. Anyway, I believe the FCC requires us, even
- 6:57Speaker 1: though this is a podcast, to ask you We're talking
- 7:01Speaker 1: clip number 12 here, Michael. Are you ready to rock?
- 7:06Speaker 2: Did you see your dad as a heavy metal star? No,
- 7:10Speaker 2: I missed that one.
- 7:11Speaker 1: His band said to play at Riot Fest in Chicago
- 7:14Speaker 1: this fall, and then.
- 7:15Speaker 2: And I'm doing the one in the desert in the spring.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 7:18Speaker 2: The one where you're doing Coachella? Coachella.
- 7:21Speaker 1: You're going to do Coachella?
- 7:22Speaker 2: Half playing, half playing heavy metal? My daughter was like,
- 7:28Speaker 2: there's Coachella. It's frightening.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Is that the secret, though, to be excited about the future?
- 7:33Speaker 2: You've got to be.
- 7:34Speaker 1: So that's the great Bill Shatton.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Does anybody enjoy their life more than Bill Shatner? I
- 7:40Speaker 2: don't know if anybody does.
- 7:42Speaker 1: If there is somebody I'd like to shake his or
- 7:44Speaker 1: her hand. Is he, what, 93 now or something like that?
- 7:48Speaker 2: He's dang old.
- 7:49Speaker 1: And he's got a metal band who's playing the festivals. God,
- 7:53Speaker 1: give me what he ordered. He's 95. Oh, my God.
- 8:00Speaker 2: He has more fun being him than you have being you,
- 8:02Speaker 2: almost guaranteed.
- 8:03Speaker 1: You know, I'm always talking about draining the blood of
- 8:05Speaker 1: the young to reinvigorate me, and I haven't given up
- 8:08Speaker 1: on that dream, but give me some of Bill Shatner's
- 8:11Speaker 1: genetic material. My Lord.
- 8:14Speaker 2: While we're on the topic of festivals, I wanted to
- 8:17Speaker 2: bring this up real quick. I came across it. Burning Man,
- 8:23Speaker 2: which just wrapped up. Burning Man has become a wrinkled
- 8:27Speaker 2: sausage fest of aging millennial men, data shows.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Okay. Okay.
- 8:33Speaker 2: I was thinking about that with Coachella. Is Coachella still young,
- 8:36Speaker 2: cool people, or is it kind of aged also? I
- 8:39Speaker 2: don't know.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Gosh, I'm so out of that demographic. I mean, I
- 8:43Speaker 1: still love to go see music, but the festival thing,
- 8:47Speaker 1: giant crowds, you know, it takes you an hour and
- 8:49Speaker 1: a half to walk to it, and then you stand
- 8:51Speaker 1: there and, no, please, no, shoot me, kill me, to
- 8:55Speaker 1: quote Ricky Gervais. Michael, does clip number 11 merit a
- 8:59Speaker 1: little description or what?
- 9:01Speaker 6: Yeah, I should probably describe it a little bit. This
- 9:04Speaker 6: is a witness account. She's in the drive-thru of an
- 9:06Speaker 6: In-N-Out Burger, and she sees a 20-year-old kid go to
- 9:10Speaker 6: the rescue of an employee.
- 9:11Speaker 5: I hear.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Get the fuck out of there!
- 9:14Speaker 2: Like, so loud.
- 9:15Speaker 7: And hit the driver and yelled it at the top
- 9:16Speaker 7: of his lungs, the driver of the car in front
- 9:18Speaker 7: of me. And he's yelling that inside the drive-thru window.
- 9:21Speaker 7: But then I realized that there's no staff in the kitchen. Like,
- 9:23Speaker 7: where there's normally a bunch of people cooking, there's nobody there.
- 9:26Speaker 7: And he gets out of his car and he jumps
- 9:27Speaker 7: through the window. And he starts battling this lady with
- 9:29Speaker 7: a stick who she had chased.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I guess, all the staff into some back room.
- 9:33Speaker 7: She was mad that they didn't make her burger fast
- 9:35Speaker 7: enough or something.
- 9:36Speaker 2: This kid, like, totally screwed the day.
- 9:39Speaker 1: So, In-N-Out, it would be cool if you give them
- 9:41Speaker 1: burgers for life. Wow, so this guy's in the drive-thru,
- 9:45Speaker 1: he sees that there's nobody in the kitchen, and somehow
- 9:49Speaker 1: he discerned that something was amiss, and he jumped through
- 9:51Speaker 1: the window, and some lunatic had terrified the employees into
- 9:56Speaker 1: a back room with a stick? Yeah. I mean, unless
- 10:00Speaker 1: she's a particularly beefy chick, I'm like, swing away, baby.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Let's get it on.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Well, there's usually a bunch of like high school, college-aged
- 10:08Speaker 2: dudes working at an In-N-Out. You couldn't handle the angry
- 10:11Speaker 2: lady with a stick?
- 10:12Speaker 7: Right.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Somehow? I feel like I need to know more here.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Wonder if they have some policy against... like fighting back
- 10:19Speaker 3: i know some stores.
- 10:20Speaker 2: You know get in that room i ain't getting in
- 10:22Speaker 2: that room.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Yeah hurting you into the back room is a very
- 10:26Speaker 1: bad thing yeah.
- 10:29Speaker 2: It wouldn't be easy to leap through the drive-thru window
- 10:31Speaker 2: from your car either i.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Mean i got a broom it's like game on let's
- 10:36Speaker 1: go or you know you could certainly hurl a french
- 10:39Speaker 1: fry oil on her or something then it's over but Yeah.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Squirt ketchup in her eye. I don't know.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Take her down animal style or jungle style or something
- 10:48Speaker 2: like that.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Not doggy style.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Love it.
- 10:50Speaker 1: No.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Not Michael. Don't order anything doggy style.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Oh, my Lord. Our boy has grown up.
- 10:57Speaker 2: This is a true story.
- 10:58Speaker 6: My mom ordered fries doggy style one time. And she's
- 11:02Speaker 6: not that type of person. And the person laughed through
- 11:05Speaker 6: the drive-thru speaker.
- 11:06Speaker 2: I would like these doggy style.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I don't know what you mean exactly. You can eat
- 11:13Speaker 1: them however you want.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Ma'am, this is a Wendy's.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I'd like the doggy style burger, missionary fries, and then
- 11:22Speaker 2: the wheelbarrow milkshake. This is not a spot I frequent.
- 11:25Speaker 1: What are you talking about? Oh, boy. Oh, golly gee. Oh, my.
- 11:31Speaker 1: You know, we could wrap it up there before we
- 11:34Speaker 1: offend anybody else. I don't know. Or do you want
- 11:36Speaker 1: to do the football thing?
- 11:39Speaker 2: The main reason I'm interested in the football thing, I
- 11:41Speaker 2: didn't hear it in real time, and I kind of
- 11:43Speaker 2: like to see how it played out. So if you're
- 11:45Speaker 2: a fan of football at all, you're aware of the
- 11:47Speaker 2: whole Michigan-Western-Michigan thing that happened over the weekend because it
- 11:50Speaker 2: got so much attention. Michigan, who's a ranked team who could,
- 11:52Speaker 2: you know, they could be challenging for national championship, almost
- 11:56Speaker 2: had the second biggest upset in their school history. Because
- 11:59Speaker 2: they were losing with like a second to go in
- 12:03Speaker 2: the game to this no-name team.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the early season in college football is the
- 12:08Speaker 1: big powers play cupcakes. The cupcake games. You know, the
- 12:11Speaker 1: cupcakes get a big check because they share the revenue.
- 12:15Speaker 1: And they get to see what a really, really good
- 12:16Speaker 1: program plays like. So it's not entirely jivey, but it's
- 12:20Speaker 1: pretty jivey. I'm not sure you learn anything. K-State booked somebody.
- 12:24Speaker 1: They scored 75 points on him. I'm not sure anybody
- 12:27Speaker 1: learns anything. Yeah, yeah. As my dad used to say, St.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Mary's home for the blind.
- 12:32Speaker 2: But so, yeah, that's the way college football starts. You
- 12:35Speaker 2: bring in some no-name school that you can trounce, and
- 12:37Speaker 2: it also gets your fans and supporters all excited and
- 12:40Speaker 2: everything like that. Oh, wow, they really look good this year. Yeah,
- 12:42Speaker 2: against them. Well, anyway, Michigan almost got beat by this team.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Well, they did get beat, according to most people.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Maybe they should have. This is how the last minute
- 12:50Speaker 2: played out. Nine seconds remaining. Deep drop.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Underwood.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Five seconds left.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Underwood's going to toss it towards the end zone. Into
- 12:57Speaker 1: the crowd. And out of bounds.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Time expires. It's the attack from the Mac.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Western Michigan sends shockwaves.
- 13:07Speaker 5: Across the college football world and pulls off the week
- 13:11Speaker 5: one stunner.
- 13:12Speaker 4: They take down the Wolverines, 12-7.
- 13:15Speaker 8: The previous play is under further review.
- 13:19Speaker 1: After review, there's one second remaining in the game. Third down.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Oh, who's in that crowd?
- 13:24Speaker 1: Big drop.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Going to unload it towards the end zone.
- 13:27Speaker 6: Into the crowd.
- 13:31Speaker 5: And it's caught! J.J.
- 13:32Speaker 7: Buchanan!
- 13:33Speaker 2: Touchdown! A miracle at Michigan Stadium! So you had two
- 13:42Speaker 2: Hail Marys at the end of the game. You had
- 13:43Speaker 2: the Hail Mary that went deep and didn't make it.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Most Hail Marys don't work. Then for whatever reason, they
- 13:49Speaker 2: put another second on the clock. Next Hail Mary, guy
- 13:51Speaker 2: threw the ball 50 yards in the air.
- 13:54Speaker 1: It was a hell of a throw.
- 13:55Speaker 2: I'd say.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't want to get into it.
- 13:59Speaker 1: If you're into it, you already know all this, but.
- 14:02Speaker 1: So what turns out, because the game clock, the actual
- 14:05Speaker 1: game clock is on the TV screen. That's not some
- 14:08Speaker 1: sort of graphic. That's an inset of the game clock.
- 14:12Speaker 1: It's a camera's on the clock. And it was clearly
- 14:14Speaker 1: at zero when a guy touched the ball for the
- 14:17Speaker 1: first time, which brings the play to a close because
- 14:19Speaker 1: he came from out of bounds. But apparently the Big
- 14:24Speaker 1: Ten has a super special secret game Game clock.
- 14:30Speaker 2: That's the official, official one. Apparently somebody said, you know
- 14:33Speaker 2: how many millions of dollars this is going to cost
- 14:35Speaker 2: us if Michigan is no longer ranked for the season
- 14:38Speaker 2: or whatever?
- 14:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I think that's what happened. Stephen A. Smith is the
- 14:41Speaker 2: most respected, probably, sports reporter in America. This is what
- 14:44Speaker 2: he had to say about it.
- 14:45Speaker 8: What about the synchronization of the clocks? It's two different
- 14:48Speaker 8: clocks that they were referred to. Nobody should be buying
- 14:51Speaker 8: that nonsense. The clock showed zero. It's an absolute joke.
- 14:55Speaker 8: There's no question about it. Michigan should suffer. And the
- 14:58Speaker 8: rank is they were putrid offensively.
- 15:00Speaker 1: They were a.
- 15:00Speaker 8: 27 and a half point favorite and almost ended up
- 15:04Speaker 8: losing this game.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I'm not buying it one bit.
- 15:06Speaker 1: It's absolutely ridiculous.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:10Speaker 2: That was something.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Agreed. Agreed.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Well, I don't follow sports really hardly at all anymore,
- 15:17Speaker 2: and I certainly haven't been following college football. I used
- 15:19Speaker 2: to follow college sports a lot. So I've missed out
- 15:21Speaker 2: on so many of these things that they've changed, like
- 15:25Speaker 2: where you got USC as a Big 12, Big 10 team,
- 15:30Speaker 2: or Stanford's a Packers. It's all nuts. And then you
- 15:33Speaker 2: got the players changing. So the likely Heisman winner, preseason
- 15:37Speaker 2: projected Heisman winner this year, This will be his third
- 15:40Speaker 2: or fourth team as a senior. He's going to have
- 15:43Speaker 2: to switch every year.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Yes.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Every year you can switch teams.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Yeah. And one, one of the quarterbacks, it might've, I
- 15:51Speaker 1: was watching the Illinois game as I am an alumni
- 15:54Speaker 1: of that vaunted university, um, an alumnus. I'm only one.
- 15:58Speaker 1: There's only one of me. Um, I think their quarterback
- 16:02Speaker 1: is in his sixth year of eligibility or something like that. Oh,
- 16:05Speaker 1: and then a couple of Louisiana state guys sued because
- 16:08Speaker 1: they washed out in the NFL and a judge said, yeah,
- 16:11Speaker 1: they've got eligibility left. You got to take them back.
- 16:14Speaker 1: So now we've got free agency every single year, guys
- 16:18Speaker 1: playing for six years. They've never taken a single class.
- 16:22Speaker 1: And if you're three years in the NFL doesn't pan out,
- 16:24Speaker 1: you can come back and play college football again. As
- 16:27Speaker 1: I often ask, what are we doing here?
- 16:29Speaker 2: What are we doing here? What is this? And then
- 16:31Speaker 2: you got like Archie Manning at Texas who's staying there
- 16:35Speaker 2: because he makes, is it $ 7 million a year?
- 16:38Speaker 7: $ 7 million a.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Year to keep him at that school so he doesn't
- 16:44Speaker 2: switch to a different school as a student athlete.
- 16:46Speaker 1: NIL money. That's right. I name image and likeness money.
- 16:49Speaker 6: Yep.
- 16:49Speaker 1: It's just pay. It's just pay.
- 16:53Speaker 2: It would seem, though, from looking at the crowds and
- 16:56Speaker 2: the enthusiasm that people are still into it, it's surprising
- 16:59Speaker 2: to me when you have new players every single year.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree. I was thinking about that over the weekend.
- 17:05Speaker 1: My wife was astonished at all of this stuff. I
- 17:08Speaker 1: was explaining it to her, and she was looking at
- 17:11Speaker 1: me like I was making it up because it's so crazy. But, yeah,
- 17:15Speaker 1: my hardcore fan buddies are still into it. But it
- 17:19Speaker 1: will not end up where it is. It can't. Not
- 17:24Speaker 1: to make this dull, but it bears thinking. So you've
- 17:28Speaker 1: got these guys being paid millions of dollars a year.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Your big-time athletes at the big-time schools and the big-time
- 17:33Speaker 1: sports are. They have a business relationship with the university.
- 17:40Speaker 1: So how can it be that the university can't demand
- 17:43Speaker 1: a three-year contract for that pay? So it's just going
- 17:47Speaker 1: to be pro sports, but branded differently. Instead of Chicago,
- 17:52Speaker 1: it'll be the University of Chicago, which doesn't even have
- 17:55Speaker 1: a football team, but you know what I'm saying.
- 17:58Speaker 4: Right.
- 17:58Speaker 2: And so you got the kids go to college and
- 18:00Speaker 2: don't learn anything for a ridiculous cost and get all A's,
- 18:04Speaker 2: and then a pro football team. What are we doing here?
- 18:08Speaker 1: Well, they're indoctrinated into Marxism. So, you know, I hate
- 18:11Speaker 1: to quibble, but they are learning something. Yeah. What is
- 18:15Speaker 1: this even?
- 18:18Speaker 2: If you dig it, you dig it, I guess.
- 18:21Speaker 6: Well, I guess that's it.
