- 0:56SPEAKER_00: She's smart.
- 0:58SPEAKER_02: He says you're smart.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: She gets it.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: She gets it.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: Hey, Steve Bilies.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Hey, um, just do me a favor.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: When he buys a purse, make sure that he asks himself lots of questions.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: How much stuff do I have?
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: What kind of clothes am I wearing this for?
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Is this a purse to go out?
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Is this a purse just for walking around, you know, hanging out?
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: Is this a work purse?
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: There's all different kinds of purses.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: You know, now that I've convinced him that first things first, you have to stop using the word purse.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: No, it is it's what it's called.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: He can't handle that.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: That's the deal because that's a him problem.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: I think that's what he needs to do.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: He's not gonna get over it.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he will.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: He will.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: I mean, he just The more we use the word, I don't think you're right.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: I've known him a long time.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, but he's you know, he's full of surprises, and he's also smart.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, he's not as smart as you, but he's he is smart, and he does eventually, you know, he's gonna lose something, fall fall out of his pocket, and then you're gonna turn to him and go, Well, if you had a purse, a hundred times I've said this, those exact words.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: Well, just keep on him because we're we're we're trying to change hearts and minds.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: Plus, I just I just invested a bunch of money in a purse company, so exactly.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: I think we needed to just, yeah, we've got to change the name of it.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: Let's think of a better name.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: He can call it a merse if you he can call it a bag if you want, he can call it whatever he wants.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: I don't care.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: I call it a purse.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: He can call it whatever he wants.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Like that's his choice.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: He gets to call it that.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: He gets to call it something macho if that's what he's worried about.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: What is the macho name?
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's what he's gotta do.
- 2:55SPEAKER_01: How about a satchel?
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: Satchel's satchel, of course.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: It was staring us right in the face.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: Why didn't we think of it before?
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: Why did we not he named himself after a purse from the beginning?
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: I know exactly.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: He's always wanted one secretly.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: He's he's always thought about himself so much so that he named himself he named himself after a purse.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: How did we not get this?
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: How did we not get this?
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: All right, well, when he's ready to buy a satchel, just make sure he's smart about it.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: Because you don't want to buy a satchel.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: Um, and ultimately, really, what he needs to do is get like maybe minimum three satchels, one black work satchel, you know, waterproof that can he can work, and then a going out satchel, and then maybe like a cool um a cool maybe casual satchel.
- 3:54SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: I think he needs like um I think he needs to be kind of like a little bit like a shoulder situation, yeah, crossbody situation, yeah.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Right, crossbody, like a messenger bag kind of thing, but even smaller, like almost like don't say fanny pack out loud, but like a fanny pack that crossed and the puffy parts are in your chest, and you look even tougher.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: That's what I have.
- 4:24SPEAKER_01: Because it's like you have che you have pecs.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know, it's like a pecs bag.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: Instead of having pecs, you have a bag, right?
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: Right, I guess.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: Pretty cool.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: Well, pecs, I mean you mean pex or pex are yeah, I guess, maybe.
- 4:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I guess.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: I guess.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: I just I just think about it like functionality, you know.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Like I think the thing, it's it gets it's so bad for me that if I like the other day, I just was like, look, I'm gonna try to be stealth.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: We're gonna go, we're gonna go to the ballet.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna bring my purse because then I have to sit.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: It's I got it.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: So I'll just put my wallet and my glasses, my phone.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: That's it.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: What do I do?
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: I get out of the car at the end of the day, I leave everything in the in the car.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: The wallet, everything's in the car, my you know, because it wasn't in my purse, because I didn't just, you know, because they right, then you have to borrow uh your wife's credit card and stuff.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: Oh, that stuff.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so it does become a crutch, you know, at some point.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: But, you know, I like it.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: Plus, I have lots of medications.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: I'm on like 12 medications, they're all in my purse.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: I know he's you know, he's not, he doesn't have all the med, and he doesn't have 12 pairs of glasses like I do.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: Well, he does because he's the thing about him, the whole reason I'm for the crossbody bag, masculine crossbag body bag, the satchel is the satchel, is because he has a hard time keeping track of all his stuff.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: Oh, see, you know what so much stuff.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: You know what this might be?
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: Tell me he might be just afraid to face it, to face that he's not 30 anymore, that he's gonna be starting to be forgetful, and maybe it's just him not embracing his age.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: That's maybe that's what he's got to just you know you're getting older, son, and it's okay to be forgetful, so just put everything in your satchel, satchel.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: He probably loses the satchel, honestly.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: The fact that we haven't called it a satchel this whole time means we're the idiots.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: Speak for yourself, my friend.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: Well, you did have did did you say to him, Where's your satchel this whole time?
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: I mean, he one time for the restaurant made a satchel satchel, and he likes that because it's his name two times.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he likes hearing his name.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: It's satchel squares, satchel square.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: Don't say that.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: That's not allowed to be said.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: No, we don't like that.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he needs it, he needs the a satchel satchel for sure.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: Where satchel satchel, yeah.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Just get one.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I know what so many times I can't even tell you how many times I've like picked them up and held them and thought about it and been like, I should just fight and see what happens.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: And then this voice inside my head says, it will just engender like so much blowback, it's not worth it.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: And they put the thing back.
- 7:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: I think I think I think we just have to do it.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: We're just gonna do it.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: He's getting a sash a satchel for Christmas.
