- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, this is w W E and c W alumni
- 0:02Speaker 1: the Blue Meaning and you're listening to pc W. The
- 0:07Speaker 1: question is, oh you let me talk to I will
- 0:18Speaker 1: give you a show like you have never recovered stream
- 0:22Speaker 1: before a wife because I can't.
- 0:25Speaker 2: What do you guys want to talk about.
- 0:39Speaker 3: In the colored red in a world with a black
- 0:42Speaker 3: and white of world?
- 0:48Speaker 4: Yeah, you.
- 0:59Speaker 5: See you, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, chilling folly.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Just welcome back to another episode of PCW podcast Championship Wrestling.
- 1:37Speaker 5: I am your host, Wayne also known as Semi Dry Chicken,
- 1:40Speaker 5: and I have a very, uh, you know, off the
- 1:43Speaker 5: walk kind of episode today. I'm feeling, uh, is there
- 1:46Speaker 5: a pay per view coming up? Yeah, but not not
- 1:48Speaker 5: right now. So we're gonna just do something a little different.
- 1:51Speaker 5: I just some news has hit and I had a
- 1:55Speaker 5: window and I was thinking, let's carpe a d M,
- 1:58Speaker 5: let's seize the moment, let's fill this little window I
- 2:00Speaker 5: have and let's just talk. But the problem is with
- 2:04Speaker 5: joining a podcast on the wind when you have multiple
- 2:08Speaker 5: listeners and multiple people who are on the show and
- 2:11Speaker 5: co host. We all we all live our lives, you know,
- 2:14Speaker 5: we all do things. We're all quite busy, so it's
- 2:19Speaker 5: hard to uh to get somebody on here, you know.
- 2:23Speaker 5: But there was one man, one man who entered the call.
- 2:28Speaker 5: Let's bring him out.
- 2:53Speaker 6: I'm here, I'm from revisiting the Mania, and we're here
- 2:58Speaker 6: to some news that wait man, yeah yeah, man. Well
- 3:05Speaker 6: I didn't hear any music.
- 3:07Speaker 5: Oh wow. Oh well maybe maybe.
- 3:10Speaker 6: It means to hearing music.
- 3:11Speaker 7: So I was just trying to go off the seat
- 3:13Speaker 7: of my pants and win the chimet in.
- 3:15Speaker 5: Oh okay, that's where they weren't able to hear it.
- 3:18Speaker 5: Weird Uh anyway, Uh yeah, dude, thanks for coming back.
- 3:22Speaker 5: I mean, answer the call, you know, answer the tag in,
- 3:25Speaker 5: and nobody else can make the card. I'm glad you
- 3:29Speaker 5: were able to come in and chat with me for
- 3:30Speaker 5: a while. You know, I didn't want to chat by myself.
- 3:33Speaker 5: I mean it's I've done an episode by myself, you rough.
- 3:38Speaker 6: You get institutional life for doing that too.
- 3:40Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, I did one episode and I was like,
- 3:42Speaker 5: I hope a lot of people don't download this one,
- 3:45Speaker 5: because then they might be thinking I'm a little crazy.
- 3:47Speaker 5: You know, it is kind of hard to to you know,
- 3:51Speaker 5: ping pong ideas when you're trying to do an episode
- 3:53Speaker 5: by yourself. But you know, it was a news dump episode.
- 3:56Speaker 5: I think it was pretty good. But this one, we
- 3:59Speaker 5: got a few, a few things in the news. You
- 4:02Speaker 5: know what, I want to play the news bumper, and
- 4:06Speaker 5: I feel like you should be able to hear. I
- 4:09Speaker 5: don't understand, you know what, I don't even have the
- 4:12Speaker 5: news bumper even even prepped, you know what. Screw screw,
- 4:16Speaker 5: I don't even have it in here. We're not even
- 4:18Speaker 5: prepping it. Uh, maybe I have. Hey, I got one.
- 4:22Speaker 5: What do you guys want to talk about? What do
- 4:25Speaker 5: you guys want to talk Yeah? Okay, Well, over the weekend,
- 4:31Speaker 5: Logan Paul got married. He got married to Nina Agdall.
- 4:37Speaker 5: I think that's he pronounce it. They officially tied the
- 4:39Speaker 5: knot on the August fifteenth in Lake Como, Italy. That's awesome,
- 4:46Speaker 5: you know. So now Logan Paul is a married man. Also, Naomi, Yeah, yeah,
- 4:55Speaker 5: Logan Paul offered market Uh. Naomi will address the state
- 4:59Speaker 5: of the women's World title on Monday. We've gotta talked
- 5:04Speaker 5: about this last episode of what you know. She could
- 5:07Speaker 5: possibly be possibly be out for whether it was an
- 5:11Speaker 5: injury or she was pregnant. But I do have the
- 5:15Speaker 5: second part of that podcast downloaded, but I haven't gotten
- 5:19Speaker 5: around to listen to it yet.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Have you done?
- 5:24Speaker 5: Yeah? Yeah, I haven't listened to the second half of that.
- 5:27Speaker 5: Have you at all?
- 5:28Speaker 3: Oh?
- 5:28Speaker 7: No, No, I don't. I tried listening to the first one,
- 5:33Speaker 7: and I was like, I.
- 5:33Speaker 6: Can't do it. Yeah, it's like it can it's.
- 5:40Speaker 7: The report that she has with her friend. Yeah, and
- 5:43Speaker 7: like the back and forth, it just seems so forced
- 5:46Speaker 7: and fake to me. Yeah, Like I can't watch this,
- 5:49Speaker 7: so I guess friends, but yeah, no.
- 5:54Speaker 5: I guess with Stephanie is kind of like a pick
- 5:55Speaker 5: and choose what episode, because I mean, damn, that's rough. Man,
- 6:00Speaker 5: Like you're having an interview with like the boss's wife,
- 6:04Speaker 5: you know, and it's like you kind of don't want
- 6:05Speaker 5: to you got I feel like you're walking on her
- 6:08Speaker 5: eggshells on a podcast like that. I mean, I would,
- 6:11Speaker 5: you know, I say the wrong thing, like shee here
- 6:14Speaker 5: we go, uh you know? But uh yeah, I mean,
- 6:19Speaker 5: like I said, last episode, we were discussing what she
- 6:22Speaker 5: could be out for. Still nobody knows, but she's gonna
- 6:26Speaker 5: let us know. It's Sunday now, so tomorrow on role
- 6:30Speaker 5: will find out. Hopefully, no worst case scenario and injury.
- 6:36Speaker 5: You know. Also like you know, she could be pregnant
- 6:39Speaker 5: and that'd be great. It's just sucks that it's like
- 6:44Speaker 5: she wanted one more run at the top and it
- 6:46Speaker 5: just happens to happen when she's at the top, and
- 6:50Speaker 5: that is the case.
- 6:54Speaker 7: Sorry, It's unfortunate because when she first won her world title,
- 6:59Speaker 7: she got hurt, so they made her vacated and then
- 7:04Speaker 7: she won it back again. I think it was restuming
- 7:06Speaker 7: get thirty or thirty three, which every one which was
- 7:10Speaker 7: in Orlando, right, and that's when she won it back again.
- 7:13Speaker 5: So yeah, yeah, what else they got here? Backstage news
- 7:22Speaker 5: on Live Morgan's return date WW Fans to see Live
- 7:25Speaker 5: Morgan back in action may have to wait a little longer.
- 7:28Speaker 5: The former Women's World Champion has been out of competition
- 7:32Speaker 5: since suffering a dislocated shoulder back in June, the injury
- 7:36Speaker 5: that abruptly halted her momentum along side Raquel Rodriguez in
- 7:40Speaker 5: the Tag division. While Raquel has occasionally dropped hints about
- 7:45Speaker 5: Liv's come back, those teasers appeared to be premature. Pw
- 7:49Speaker 5: Insider reports that Morgan underwent a medical checkup this week.
- 7:53Speaker 5: And to assess her progress, sparkling speculation that she might
- 8:00Speaker 5: appear backstage at raw that didn't happen, and sources inside
- 8:05Speaker 5: WWE suggests that her return isn't expected until the opening
- 8:09Speaker 5: months of twenty twenty six. So we're rumble huge pop.
- 8:17Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, it's definitely gonna have to come there,
- 8:22Speaker 7: probably depending on how far we get along in this
- 8:25Speaker 7: Roxy and Raquel either like the friendship blossoms or I
- 8:31Speaker 7: think either Dre or someone had pointed out that Raquel
- 8:34Speaker 7: was wearing a Dirty Dim shirt recently and one of
- 8:40Speaker 7: the Monday night raws, So were are we being kind
- 8:44Speaker 7: of led astray thinking that it's gonna be Roxy that
- 8:48Speaker 7: breaks them up, and it's gonna be that Raquel is
- 8:52Speaker 7: the one that was trying to make the moves on
- 8:54Speaker 7: Dirty Dome while she was away.
- 8:58Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I am curious, man, Like this this is
- 9:02Speaker 5: a long This could be a long storyline dragged out
- 9:05Speaker 5: like but they could keep us interested. My question to
- 9:12Speaker 5: you is, uh, do you think Roxy will Do you
- 9:16Speaker 5: think she'll stay in Judgment Day long enough that we
- 9:22Speaker 5: kind of like her in Judgment Day we kind of
- 9:24Speaker 5: become the fan. And when she comes back with Live
- 9:27Speaker 5: it's gonna be a conflict more for us then it
- 9:29Speaker 5: will be for dom with her popularity. Do you think
- 9:33Speaker 5: her popularity could get that high being in Judgment Day.
- 9:38Speaker 7: Well, it just all depends on how they're gonna do it.
- 9:41Speaker 7: Right now, I you know, Judgment Days were going like
- 9:45Speaker 7: on four years, three years something like that?
- 9:48Speaker 6: Is being together?
- 9:49Speaker 7: Oh yeah, one of those with questions, one of the
- 9:52Speaker 7: longest stables. That's not the New Day, right, And the
- 9:57Speaker 7: way the way that this is reminding and how they're
- 10:00Speaker 7: able to plug and play people is reminding me of
- 10:04Speaker 7: Bullet Club. So if they can go ahead and keep
- 10:07Speaker 7: getting people and then taking them out and recycling. So
- 10:11Speaker 7: as far as as the question you asked, I don't
- 10:15Speaker 7: see how Roxy could turn good or turn baby face
- 10:22Speaker 7: in the next four months four and a half months.
- 10:26Speaker 6: She has to stay.
- 10:26Speaker 7: If she's gonna stay with Judgment Days, she has to
- 10:28Speaker 7: stay heelish. And since everyone's wanting to get a good
- 10:33Speaker 7: pop or you know, or just get a bit push
- 10:36Speaker 7: behind live as she comes back, Jill have to get
- 10:39Speaker 7: the baby face pop, so she'll have to stay healed.
- 10:42Speaker 7: So we have to we have to find out who
- 10:47Speaker 7: if it's like a misdirection like I mentioned, like maybe
- 10:50Speaker 7: it's not rock Sanne, Like how we had the misdirection
- 10:52Speaker 7: with Live and Raquel being the one that attacked Jay,
- 10:57Speaker 7: but it was actuality Naomi. So we could probably get
- 11:02Speaker 7: a misdirection like that where all the signs that have
- 11:05Speaker 7: been pointing to Roxanne and it ends up it was
- 11:09Speaker 7: Raquel the whole time type of thing. But when Live
- 11:12Speaker 7: comes back, it's gonna be as a face. It cannot
- 11:14Speaker 7: be as a heal.
- 11:15Speaker 5: Yeah, dude, absolutely, I agree. As a face may mean
- 11:18Speaker 5: the crowd is gonna pop and lose their ship at
- 11:21Speaker 5: the rumble. I mean I could see it now, like
- 11:24Speaker 5: you know, maybe you know those two are you know,
- 11:29Speaker 5: Roxanne and Brikeller in the ring, you know, maybe cleaning
- 11:33Speaker 5: house for a little bit. It doesn't even have to
- 11:35Speaker 5: be in the beginning. It could be somewhere in the middle,
- 11:38Speaker 5: just cleaning house and all of a sudden, Lives you know,
- 11:41Speaker 5: fucking number comes and it's like Raquel's like I don't
- 11:44Speaker 5: know what to do, like you know, I mean, just
- 11:47Speaker 5: it's it's very interesting. The story will still be there.
- 11:52Speaker 5: It's a slow burn, but I'm still intrigues.
- 11:56Speaker 6: Uh, moving on that definitely.
- 12:00Speaker 5: Hey, do you remember at Crown Jewel in twenty twenty
- 12:04Speaker 5: four when we got introduced to the Crown Jewel titles.
- 12:12Speaker 7: Yeah, I was wondering what's happened with those because someone
- 12:15Speaker 7: that brought it up, I believe in the discord about
- 12:18Speaker 7: the you know what happened to the Crown Jewel titles.
- 12:23Speaker 6: Yeah, so, and they had to defend them.
- 12:26Speaker 7: And now going to Perth, are they bringing the titles
- 12:30Speaker 7: with them down there to Australia or are they still
- 12:33Speaker 7: staying in Saudi Arabia?
- 12:36Speaker 5: Well, great update, great question. I love it and I'm
- 12:40Speaker 5: gonna I'm gonna tell you right now. The update is, uh, now,
- 12:45Speaker 5: we will never see those titles again. They said that
- 12:51Speaker 5: they're not They're just not doing it. This is you know,
- 12:55Speaker 5: typical Crown Jewel like fashion, Like we had Brown strumming
- 13:00Speaker 5: when like this huge rumble there won a title. Never
- 13:04Speaker 5: saw it again. Yeah, it's like it's something that's cannon there.
- 13:11Speaker 5: And I expect when we do go lift, Morgan's not
- 13:14Speaker 5: going to be there. So you know you have Cody,
- 13:16Speaker 5: but you know Cody's not gonna bring up that title.
- 13:21Speaker 5: And he's got I mean, he's the WW champion. I
- 13:25Speaker 5: don't know. I'm glad. I just don't think we should
- 13:29Speaker 5: do them ever again. I mean, in my opinion, I
- 13:31Speaker 5: just think they're silly to begin with.
- 13:35Speaker 6: Ah, they look nice, oh, don't get me wrong, bigger
- 13:39Speaker 6: than the ones.
- 13:41Speaker 7: But yeah, I mean if they weren't even allowed to
- 13:44Speaker 7: leave the country with them, they stayed in the forever
- 13:47Speaker 7: w the Lewie Saudi Arabia Museum that they have, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 7: we can't get anywhere else.
- 13:55Speaker 6: It doesn't travel.
- 13:56Speaker 5: I wouldn't mind a like mention of them, like they
- 14:00Speaker 5: showed them in like a display case and like, oh,
- 14:02Speaker 5: do you guys remember in twenty twenty four when so
- 14:05Speaker 5: and so and so and so won these titles Like
- 14:07Speaker 5: that'd be cool. You don't have to talk about it
- 14:09Speaker 5: being defended or something. It's just something that was one
- 14:12Speaker 5: that year, you know, like a trophy that was for
- 14:15Speaker 5: that year, and it just happens to be in the
- 14:17Speaker 5: form of a belt. And like you said, dude, like
- 14:20Speaker 5: they're huge, like spare no expense, like you know, the
- 14:24Speaker 5: Saudi princess, like, hey, we will make ours bigger a
- 14:27Speaker 5: lot the more gold we have plenty of it. Yeah,
- 14:36Speaker 5: I'm sure we'll have another tournament of some kind and
- 14:40Speaker 5: another belt or another trophy of some kind.
- 14:44Speaker 4: You know.
- 14:46Speaker 5: Oh, we just did what King, King and Queen of
- 14:49Speaker 5: the Ring there.
- 14:51Speaker 7: Yeah, but we didn't even get any crowns. Like at
- 14:53Speaker 7: least last year with Naya, she wore a crown.
- 14:57Speaker 5: I think Jade got a crown what she was there.
- 15:00Speaker 5: I think they got crowns while they were there, but
- 15:01Speaker 5: I didn't. I don't recall them like wearing them and
- 15:05Speaker 5: sticking to the gimmick, you know, which kind of sucks
- 15:08Speaker 5: because like a lot of wrestlers would stick to the gimmick, Shamus, Wade, Barrett,
- 15:13Speaker 5: you know, just a lot of wrestlers in the Booker
- 15:17Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, but King Booker, greatest King the Ring winner
- 15:21Speaker 5: probably who really stuck to the gimmick.
- 15:24Speaker 6: You know.
- 15:25Speaker 5: And I always thought that was kind of cool, like
- 15:27Speaker 5: they and Baron Corbyn did it. I'm just thinking of
- 15:31Speaker 5: more and more as I'm here thinking about it. It's
- 15:36Speaker 5: just a gimmick that they just don't bring back anymore.
- 15:39Speaker 5: This year, it just seemed like they wore it for
- 15:41Speaker 5: a little bit at the end and then that was it.
- 15:44Speaker 5: They never brought it out ever again. But then again,
- 15:47Speaker 5: it's I guess it's also like if you won the
- 15:50Speaker 5: Andre the Giant Battle Royal, You're not going to bring
- 15:52Speaker 5: out that big ass trophy every week? Are you?
- 15:58Speaker 6: They should?
- 15:59Speaker 5: They shouldn't.
- 16:00Speaker 6: Who was walking around with it? Was? It?
- 16:02Speaker 7: Was it Cizarrow though, was one that was always walking
- 16:05Speaker 7: around with it? Or was it bron when he win it?
- 16:08Speaker 5: I think it was Czarrow. It might be it might
- 16:11Speaker 5: have been Czarrow. Yeah. Every time somebody won that Battle
- 16:16Speaker 5: Royal trophy, man, I it just it didn't catapult anybody anywhere,
- 16:21Speaker 5: you know. I guess the last good champion we had
- 16:24Speaker 5: from that is probably Jay Uso. You could say maybe
- 16:26Speaker 5: he's the only one who kind of benefited from that
- 16:28Speaker 5: because it kind of catapulted him further. That was a
- 16:32Speaker 5: big win for him in a singles career, for the
- 16:35Speaker 5: first big win. I guess you could say, before we
- 16:37Speaker 5: started winning the it IC title, right, how did we
- 16:43Speaker 5: get here? Uh? I got this today? Possible spoiler on
- 16:49Speaker 5: the stipulation for brock lesn't versus John Cena as we know, Uh,
- 16:55Speaker 5: we're gonna be seeing them versus each other on September two, twentieth.
- 17:01Speaker 5: This planned mains Okay, the planned main event for September
- 17:06Speaker 5: twentieth pay per view going head to head with Adew's
- 17:09Speaker 5: all out his Brock Lenser Versusena, which is why Brock
- 17:12Speaker 5: is not booked for Paris because they wanted him as
- 17:15Speaker 5: a method to counter program Aw. It's been updated that
- 17:19Speaker 5: Lesnar and Sena will be expected to be a last
- 17:23Speaker 5: man standing match. Dun dun, dum. You know it sounds
- 17:31Speaker 5: so thrilled.
- 17:32Speaker 6: I guess no, I'm not.
- 17:35Speaker 7: I'm already a I'm upset because I didn't get a
- 17:39Speaker 7: chance to talk to this with the but I did
- 17:43Speaker 7: make my voice heard in the discord. But yeah, we
- 17:47Speaker 7: have John Cena basically turn face like maybe in twenty four,
- 17:52Speaker 7: forty eight hours before Summer Slam Night too right right,
- 17:57Speaker 7: he comes out, he comes out with the bright shirt,
- 18:00Speaker 7: he comes out, he runs to the ring, so we
- 18:02Speaker 7: have face Scena back right m h. And then he
- 18:05Speaker 7: loses to Cody after a half hour match. So he
- 18:09Speaker 7: loses to Cody asking it the torch. Yes, I get it,
- 18:13Speaker 7: I understand it. But the whole point that I makes
- 18:18Speaker 7: me mad is the only way Sena one's seventeen is
- 18:21Speaker 7: because he was a heel quote unquote and he sold
- 18:23Speaker 7: his soul quote unquote to the rock, Right, he loses
- 18:27Speaker 7: it the first minute, he becomes a face and instead
- 18:33Speaker 7: of having like a title. And yes, this is me
- 18:36Speaker 7: being a hypocrite because I was upset that Jay dropped
- 18:39Speaker 7: the title, that to Gunter just so Goldbert can have it.
- 18:42Speaker 7: But if you're gonna bring back brock Lesnar and he's
- 18:44Speaker 7: gonna attack Johnsena who doesn't even have the belt, is
- 18:50Speaker 7: what is he attagging him for?
- 18:51Speaker 6: Just for losing the belt?
- 18:53Speaker 7: Like, we never got any explanation on that. If he
- 18:55Speaker 7: was champion, then it would make sense for him to
- 18:58Speaker 7: attack him because he wants another shot at the time. Right,
- 19:02Speaker 7: So that's that's my rant and rant there.
- 19:08Speaker 5: I mean, how how far back have you seen this feud?
- 19:13Speaker 5: I mean I've seen it since the dawn of time,
- 19:15Speaker 5: since the first match was.
- 19:16Speaker 6: In two thousand two three.
- 19:21Speaker 5: Yeah, they had they had a singles match in two
- 19:23Speaker 5: thousand and two on SmackDown. This is back when Sino's
- 19:26Speaker 5: green as Goose Ship, you know. Prototype Yeah, just just
- 19:32Speaker 5: about like the very beginning, there's a squash match basically,
- 19:37Speaker 5: and then there was a fatal four way match with
- 19:39Speaker 5: Big Show and chrispin Wi and the two of them
- 19:43Speaker 5: on November thirteenth, two thousand and three. You know that
- 19:47Speaker 5: I really don't count, but I'd say it starts to
- 19:50Speaker 5: get interesting Backlash two thousand and three. Johnson still wasn't
- 19:56Speaker 5: on his level because this is a John seem As
- 20:00Speaker 5: I think, first ever pay per view match, so it's
- 20:05Speaker 5: still not as interesting. And then they face each other
- 20:07Speaker 5: again smack Down two thousand and four, that ended with
- 20:15Speaker 5: Eddie Garreo heading Brock Lessner with a low blow with
- 20:17Speaker 5: Johnstona's chain and got the pinfall victory, you know, Live
- 20:22Speaker 5: cheat and Steel. Then we see them again smack Down
- 20:28Speaker 5: two thousand and three. I think like two thousand and
- 20:31Speaker 5: three is maybe when it started to pick up. And
- 20:33Speaker 5: then we fast forward, fast forward to Knife Champions twenty fourteen.
- 20:40Speaker 5: You know, Johnsena is now on a far higher level,
- 20:46Speaker 5: you know, meeting the level that Brock listeners. I think
- 20:52Speaker 5: that's when that feud really started to get interesting. You know,
- 20:58Speaker 5: when Brock comes back to the company, which by the way,
- 21:02Speaker 5: I thought it was kind of a nice homage, you know,
- 21:05Speaker 5: when he he came back at twenty fourteen, and you know,
- 21:07Speaker 5: the crowd just popped and and what did Brock do?
- 21:10Speaker 5: He just went in and just fucking f fived him,
- 21:13Speaker 5: and Sina kind of fell for the same fucking thing again.
- 21:16Speaker 5: You know, we see him they didn't learn, No, dude
- 21:23Speaker 5: didn't learn. You know, we see you see them face
- 21:26Speaker 5: each other in like twenty fifteen and twenty. Yeah, there's
- 21:29Speaker 5: just they have a lot of history together. But I
- 21:33Speaker 5: think as for one on one matches, uh, in singles competitions,
- 21:39Speaker 5: Sena has two wins and four losses against brockh.
- 21:46Speaker 7: Like, besides, you know John Cena wanting this match, there's
- 21:52Speaker 7: no reason for this match to happen, dude, absolutely.
- 21:57Speaker 6: Now you're breaking down like the record, the numbers eve
- 22:00Speaker 6: been like that.
- 22:01Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, it's like, you know, Brock whoops your ass
- 22:06Speaker 5: twice and then you then you finally get one over him.
- 22:09Speaker 5: You know. So it sounds like Brock always wins the
- 22:13Speaker 5: feuds really you know, but he yeah, yes, you know
- 22:19Speaker 5: seeing that will win some battles, but he won't. He
- 22:21Speaker 5: never wins the war. I could see them putting him
- 22:26Speaker 5: over on this feud though, with with Brock, I think
- 22:31Speaker 5: it'd be great for his career, But like what he's
- 22:34Speaker 5: got eleven dates left? Are we? Is this the last
- 22:39Speaker 5: feud that we're getting out of Johnston's career? Is it
- 22:43Speaker 5: going to be brock? And they sure as fuck could
- 22:46Speaker 5: drag it out to eleven dates if they wanted to,
- 22:48Speaker 5: with appearances and promos. And I don't want to be
- 22:55Speaker 5: I don't want it to be I I I said
- 23:01Speaker 5: this before, like at the beginning of WE. I think
- 23:04Speaker 5: I mentioned it at the very beginning when he announced
- 23:07Speaker 5: this tour, like, okay, let's revisit I would love to
- 23:10Speaker 5: go back and actually listen to that episode he talked,
- 23:13Speaker 5: you know, he I said, let's revisit some classics, right,
- 23:17Speaker 5: And I got my classics right, not all of them,
- 23:19Speaker 5: but I got what I wanted. I got. I got
- 23:21Speaker 5: a punk, I got an Orton match. I'm good, you know,
- 23:24Speaker 5: from getting I got another Cody match. Awesome. Uh, I'm
- 23:29Speaker 5: done with the classics. Now, let's see some fantasy matches
- 23:32Speaker 5: before they're gone, before they're gone, dude, Like, like, don't
- 23:37Speaker 5: don't you want to knock off like some fantasy matches
- 23:40Speaker 5: on your card? Like, eh, I mean, come on, give
- 23:46Speaker 5: us half at It would have been nice. I'm not
- 23:50Speaker 5: saying put over new guys, but it would be nice
- 23:52Speaker 5: to see maybe him go toe to toe on the
- 23:54Speaker 5: mic with l A. Knight. You know, maybe them is
- 24:03Speaker 5: yeah or Carmelo Hayes, you know, or there's just so
- 24:07Speaker 5: much I know, it's like it's hard because there's there's
- 24:13Speaker 5: so much meat on the bone when it comes to
- 24:15Speaker 5: WW like how vastly large the roster is and we
- 24:19Speaker 5: kind of just want to see this one superstar and
- 24:23Speaker 5: mix it up with all these other people. And you're
- 24:25Speaker 5: realizing now, like I think the panic is starting to
- 24:28Speaker 5: set in with like oh God, like we got left
- 24:32Speaker 5: and days dates left, like it's it's fucking getting down
- 24:34Speaker 5: to double digits and assume the single digits and like,
- 24:37Speaker 5: oh my god, it's coming, Like this is here before
- 24:41Speaker 5: we knew it. It feels just like a couple of
- 24:44Speaker 5: weeks ago that I dropped that episode about the retirement. Uh,
- 24:49Speaker 5: but yeah, here we are, like fast forward several months,
- 24:52Speaker 5: and I have no complaints, Like I think since his
- 24:56Speaker 5: retirement tour has started, we've gotten a good spread out
- 25:02Speaker 5: viewership of him, Like I've gotten enough John Cena that
- 25:05Speaker 5: I'm not bored with him, and I've gotten enough that
- 25:07Speaker 5: I'm not upset that he's not on my TV, like
- 25:11Speaker 5: like he's a part timer. He doesn't feel like a
- 25:13Speaker 5: part timer. He feels like he's a full time guy. Again,
- 25:18Speaker 5: what are your thoughts on this John Cena retirement tour
- 25:21Speaker 5: thus far?
- 25:25Speaker 7: Look, I was pro the heel move, and like my
- 25:30Speaker 7: earlier rant, I was upset when I turned him face
- 25:34Speaker 7: and he lost the title. And the reason for that
- 25:36Speaker 7: is because if he would have beat Cody, he still
- 25:39Speaker 7: would have had the title. He could have, yes, another
- 25:41Speaker 7: match with Brock and he wins, right, But then during
- 25:45Speaker 7: that time after this was September twenty, is what we're saying.
- 25:50Speaker 7: For the last dates, you still could have had maybe
- 25:54Speaker 7: like a version of when John Cena had his US
- 25:57Speaker 7: Open title run, you know, when he was like, if
- 26:00Speaker 7: you want them, come get some whoever wants to want
- 26:03Speaker 7: a shot, come out type of thing, you know, and
- 26:06Speaker 7: then you build that up for a pay per view.
- 26:09Speaker 6: And then the.
- 26:10Speaker 7: Last match I think, which would have been good, but
- 26:13Speaker 7: it and we went with the passing the torch type
- 26:17Speaker 7: of thing. Would I think I would have loved to
- 26:20Speaker 7: have seen him face Randy.
- 26:22Speaker 6: Randy builds it up one more time and he wins.
- 26:25Speaker 7: Is it would be his sixteenth at that point, yes?
- 26:30Speaker 6: Or fifteenth?
- 26:32Speaker 5: I don't right up there dude.
- 26:36Speaker 6: Yeah, but that's how I would have had it go.
- 26:38Speaker 7: Yeah, and he if we would have kept the belt
- 26:41Speaker 7: unseeen a have him have a little good face run
- 26:45Speaker 7: with the title. And then he ended up losing it
- 26:48Speaker 7: to Randy. You know, their friends and they get to
- 26:51Speaker 7: hug at the end when the curtains and TV cameras
- 26:55Speaker 7: are off and things like that, and people posted on
- 26:57Speaker 7: social media. But I think that would have been a better,
- 27:01Speaker 7: a better way to send him out, Like he loses,
- 27:04Speaker 7: but he loses to you know, someone that's still going
- 27:06Speaker 7: that wasn't his class or you know, just so that's
- 27:09Speaker 7: still going around his age.
- 27:11Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I agree. Yeah. It's it's so cool because
- 27:15Speaker 5: like there's so many like fantasy bookings. I you could
- 27:19Speaker 5: say that we really would like for Sina, like how
- 27:22Speaker 5: we could picture his career ending like I love the whole,
- 27:26Speaker 5: like you know, the United States Open Challenge, and just
- 27:30Speaker 5: even if he didn't have the title, just like hey,
- 27:32Speaker 5: like I got I got eleven dates left, like who
- 27:35Speaker 5: wants one? Who wants it? Come get it? Like right,
- 27:38Speaker 5: and it'd be cool. It's like the like ten you know,
- 27:41Speaker 5: I don't know, nine or eight or nine out of
- 27:43Speaker 5: those days we just get these random fantasy matches on
- 27:46Speaker 5: a raw or SmackDown, or I would is he on SmackDown? Yeah,
- 27:50Speaker 5: just these fantasy Yeah, I think that'd be cool. Uh.
- 27:57Speaker 7: And then like you don't have to have him the
- 28:00Speaker 7: barn Burners, like no five matches.
- 28:04Speaker 5: Yeah, but like we could say, cross off the list,
- 28:07Speaker 5: like we could be like awesome, like we got dismatched.
- 28:10Speaker 5: We never I never thought i'd see this match, but
- 28:12Speaker 5: we got it, Like cool, cross off the list, and
- 28:15Speaker 5: then like maybe it maybe not even Orton, like like
- 28:18Speaker 5: if they were still playing the brock Lessener like imagine
- 28:21Speaker 5: like you know, he goes, all right, well, he goes,
- 28:24Speaker 5: next week is Saturday night main event. He goes, I
- 28:26Speaker 5: don't have a feud. He goes, I got the this
- 28:30Speaker 5: is my last day. Uh, you know, I'm calling anybody
- 28:34Speaker 5: you know who wants it. And then that's when brock
- 28:36Speaker 5: Lessner music came. Like holy fuck, we've been just getting
- 28:39Speaker 5: these regular Joe's or you know whatever fantasy matches, but
- 28:44Speaker 5: then we get like this fucking shocking return uh for
- 28:48Speaker 5: his last match. I don't know again, fantasy booking to
- 28:53Speaker 5: its full list. You know what we want, but it's
- 28:56Speaker 5: not what we're gonna get. Sometimes we get what we get, well,
- 29:00Speaker 5: we get what we want. It's rare, it's very rare.
- 29:03Speaker 5: We get the booking that we want. We get very
- 29:05Speaker 5: happy for me. This year, I kept kind of predicting
- 29:10Speaker 5: that somehow, some way, Seampunk was gonna get fucked by
- 29:14Speaker 5: Seth Rollins. And this is the second he won that
- 29:18Speaker 5: money in the bank briefcase. I was like, I don't
- 29:20Speaker 5: know how, I don't know how we're gonna get there,
- 29:23Speaker 5: but we're gonna get there, and Seth is gonna screw
- 29:26Speaker 5: over Punk. And I was right, and and I kind
- 29:30Speaker 5: of predicted even before that, because even without the briefcase involved,
- 29:36Speaker 5: I was gonna say, Punk is going to win his
- 29:38Speaker 5: title or cost him the world title yet again. But
- 29:42Speaker 5: you know the fact that that man let him hold
- 29:44Speaker 5: on to that world title and feel it and feel it,
- 29:48Speaker 5: take it in, soak it in, and then cash in
- 29:51Speaker 5: on his ass. That's some good fucking wrestling right there.
- 30:00Speaker 5: Are you ready for the meat of the story or
- 30:02Speaker 5: do you have anything else you want to plug in
- 30:04Speaker 5: before we get to it.
- 30:07Speaker 7: No, I think we've already beat that uh uh and.
- 30:11Speaker 6: Expressed our anger and this whole scene a run Yeah.
- 30:15Speaker 5: Yeah, it's it's I'm angry, but I'm not, but I'm
- 30:20Speaker 5: getting one. I'm just happy it's happening. Like, I'm just
- 30:24Speaker 5: happy we're even getting a retirement tour. I'm happy we're
- 30:27Speaker 5: not just getting a retirement one retirement match and then
- 30:30Speaker 5: he was gone forever. It's dragged out for It's gonna
- 30:34Speaker 5: be dragged out for a year and almost a year,
- 30:38Speaker 5: and I think that's more than what I could have
- 30:42Speaker 5: ever have asked for. So I'm enjoying it while I can,
- 30:47Speaker 5: because before you know it, it'll be gone and then
- 30:50Speaker 5: we really can't see him, so we're wrong.
- 30:54Speaker 7: I mean, if you have HBO Max, you can see him. Yeah,
- 31:01Speaker 7: gonna start streaming in four days. Dude is recording.
- 31:05Speaker 5: Yeah, dude, let me tell you how I love the
- 31:07Speaker 5: first season. H I I'm so excited for this next
- 31:13Speaker 5: season because he I just watched Superman for the first
- 31:16Speaker 5: time yesterday and he has a little cameo in Superman. Uh.
- 31:21Speaker 5: So like to think that they're like, oh man, like
- 31:23Speaker 5: we're totally seeing John Cena in this new phase of
- 31:28Speaker 5: the DCU. Like he's he's jumping over He's one of
- 31:33Speaker 5: the very few that are We're gonna see from one
- 31:35Speaker 5: universe to the next. Uh. And that for me also
- 31:39Speaker 5: is great because like that secures him a role, a job,
- 31:43Speaker 5: a spot on my TV. You know, I couldn't ask
- 31:47Speaker 5: for like a better thing for John Cena right now
- 31:49Speaker 5: than his foot in the door of a superhero universe,
- 31:54Speaker 5: whether it be DC or Marvel. You know, I don't know,
- 31:59Speaker 5: there's I guess I feel that way about most professional
- 32:03Speaker 5: wrestlers when they go to Hollywood. He's like, I just
- 32:05Speaker 5: want to see him succeed. You know. I felt that
- 32:07Speaker 5: way about Batista. I didn't. I just never worried about
- 32:12Speaker 5: the Rock. Dude. When The Rock went to Hollywood. Never
- 32:16Speaker 5: worried about this guy. After the Scorpion King and then
- 32:19Speaker 5: he started doing movies like Walking Tall and The Rundown,
- 32:22Speaker 5: I was like, Oh, he's good. The Rock don't need me,
- 32:25Speaker 5: he don't need my support. He's good. And look at
- 32:27Speaker 5: him now, you know, ah.
- 32:30Speaker 6: He needs your support.
- 32:32Speaker 5: Yeah. God, he's still making Jamanji movies.
- 32:38Speaker 7: He needs you to go see the the other movie.
- 32:42Speaker 6: He is coming up something like that, something like that.
- 32:50Speaker 5: But he plays like a hold on.
- 32:55Speaker 6: The UFC guy, it's gonna bother me.
- 32:59Speaker 7: You don't even know it's it's not you don't even
- 33:02Speaker 7: know that it's The Smashing Machine.
- 33:05Speaker 5: Yeah, what the fuck was I talking about? The Racing Bowl.
- 33:09Speaker 5: That's another boxing movie, isn't it with Robertson Niro.
- 33:12Speaker 7: I don't know, well it is, but it's kind of
- 33:15Speaker 7: like that, I think it, like his story is.
- 33:18Speaker 6: Kind of similar.
- 33:19Speaker 5: Yeah, the Smashing Machine. Yeah, like I said, The Rock
- 33:27Speaker 5: When I was younger, I was never worried about the
- 33:28Speaker 5: Rock in Hollywood, but like when John Cena stuck his
- 33:32Speaker 5: foot in the Hollywood and and Batista, I got a
- 33:36Speaker 5: little word.
- 33:37Speaker 4: Man.
- 33:38Speaker 5: You know, I was kind of hoping the best for
- 33:40Speaker 5: guys like Randy Orton and like the Miz, but it
- 33:43Speaker 5: just kind of didn't take off, you know, no matter
- 33:46Speaker 5: how many marine movies you put out, just just didn't
- 33:49Speaker 5: take off. But they still got job security and WW
- 33:54Speaker 5: right now.
- 33:55Speaker 7: So yeah they could still go. So yeah, they still
- 34:01Speaker 7: Randy's not blamed that bad.
- 34:02Speaker 6: He has his own I think he has his own
- 34:04Speaker 6: weed chop.
- 34:05Speaker 7: Oh really and one of those typees of yeah, so
- 34:09Speaker 7: he's fine. Yeah, he's making his money, whether it's in
- 34:15Speaker 7: his contract or whatever alternative investment opportunity Deasy has.
- 34:22Speaker 5: Yeah, all right, Yeah, let's let's let's get to the
- 34:31Speaker 5: main event here, big big news. Well, actually I want
- 34:37Speaker 5: to I want to bring this up before I do
- 34:39Speaker 5: the big news. Did you recall hearing it was probably
- 34:44Speaker 5: last week? I think it happened that Paramount acquired the
- 34:48Speaker 5: US media rights for the UFC in a massive seven
- 34:51Speaker 5: year deal a seven point seven billion dollars. This deal
- 34:55Speaker 5: begins in twenty twenty six. That will make Paramount Plus
- 34:58Speaker 5: the exclusive home for all UFC numbered events UH and
- 35:02Speaker 5: UFC nights in the US, ending in ending the UFC's
- 35:06Speaker 5: previous pay per view model ESPN. UH. Some events will
- 35:10Speaker 5: also be uh Simuel simulcast to CBS. Yeah.
- 35:18Speaker 7: It's funny, big ones where people might know their names.
- 35:22Speaker 7: They're kind of bringing it back to the days of boxing,
- 35:25Speaker 7: where boxing would be on network TV, whether it was
- 35:28Speaker 7: it was primarily ABC, I believe, and then NBC before
- 35:31Speaker 7: I moved down to HBO and Showtime and things like that.
- 35:34Speaker 5: Right. Yeah, And it's funny because they're leaving ESPN, which
- 35:40Speaker 5: is where we're heading, you know. And it's kind of
- 35:44Speaker 5: funny because they're all under the same umbrella of t
- 35:46Speaker 5: k OH. It's just kind of funny thing, kind of
- 35:50Speaker 5: swapping here paramount, that's great. In paramount, it's awesome. I
- 35:55Speaker 5: have paramount.
- 35:56Speaker 6: You know.
- 35:57Speaker 5: There's also times where I've wanted to watch UFC fights
- 36:00Speaker 5: and I was just like, I am not paying that
- 36:02Speaker 5: price for UFC fight by myself. Yeah yeah, And you know,
- 36:12Speaker 5: it's the same goes with boxing, Like it's just it's
- 36:14Speaker 5: so expensive, and I don't like the time frame when
- 36:19Speaker 5: it comes to UFC in boxing matches, like how late
- 36:23Speaker 5: I have to stay up to get any kind of
- 36:25Speaker 5: you know, satisfaction, and you know, we're I'm so buried
- 36:29Speaker 5: into WW Like I don't know a lot of these
- 36:31Speaker 5: UFC guys. I don't know a lot of these boxers.
- 36:33Speaker 5: Like I'm also just waiting for the main event, like
- 36:36Speaker 5: that's what I'm here for, and I'll start it like
- 36:38Speaker 5: one in the morning or some shit, and you know
- 36:42Speaker 5: a lot of them are just recently just been disappointing,
- 36:46Speaker 5: like boxing matches alone, so like I guess the last
- 36:50Speaker 5: one I watched, like the last Mike Tyson fight. So
- 36:53Speaker 5: I think after that, I'm kind of like, you know,
- 36:55Speaker 5: I think it might be done with boxing for a while,
- 36:58Speaker 5: but I'd be interested to see some UFC, Like you know, uh,
- 37:03Speaker 5: I you know, if I have a friend, I have
- 37:05Speaker 5: a friend Dwayne who's a listener to the show, Dwayne Coleman.
- 37:08Speaker 5: He what's the host UFC Fight soon? You know, I
- 37:11Speaker 5: was like, for sure, man, I'll go over and watch.
- 37:13Speaker 5: I'm interested. There's always w W wrestlers there in the crowd.
- 37:19Speaker 5: I know Undertaker likes to go.
- 37:20Speaker 6: No choice.
- 37:21Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, I mean now it's no choice, but yeah,
- 37:28Speaker 4: Taker would always be there and I think they would
- 37:31Speaker 4: get rocked too.
- 37:33Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, it's pretty cool when you get to see
- 37:35Speaker 5: a bunch of ww wrestlers there, you know, taking interest
- 37:40Speaker 5: in the sport itself, like they're like us.
- 37:47Speaker 7: They had to buy tickets and go, oh, they don't
- 37:50Speaker 7: have to buy tickets. Those are kinds well, they have
- 37:53Speaker 7: to still walk to the arena, depending like if it's
- 37:56Speaker 7: in d MGM or Grand in Las Vegas or wherever
- 38:00Speaker 7: they're holding in it.
- 38:01Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, So with that said, I'm going to bring
- 38:10Speaker 5: up the big news that a lot of people were
- 38:14Speaker 5: probably hearing rumors and what's going on and maybe it's
- 38:18Speaker 5: been brought up a bunch of I'm sure brought up
- 38:20Speaker 5: in tons of other news outlets that it had to
- 38:22Speaker 5: have crossed your your eyes. If you're a wrestling fan
- 38:25Speaker 5: of some kind, even if you don't watch, you had
- 38:27Speaker 5: to have heard about it within the past, you know,
- 38:30Speaker 5: a couple of days. Yes. There are reports that TNA
- 38:34Speaker 5: Wrestling formerly known as Impact Wrestling, is potentially up for sale,
- 38:39Speaker 5: with WWE reportedly holding a first option to buy the company.
- 38:44Speaker 5: This arrangement is part of a broader partnership between WW
- 38:48Speaker 5: and TNA, which also includes the rights to first refusal
- 38:53Speaker 5: to match any other offers for TNA. This means that
- 38:56Speaker 5: WW can potentially block any sale of TNA to a
- 39:00Speaker 5: party that that they don't approve of, and also have
- 39:04Speaker 5: the opportunity to match any competiting offers uh competing offers.
- 39:10Speaker 5: There is rumors that former owners of the UFC, Lorenzo
- 39:17Speaker 5: for Tita Tita formerly Yeah formerly UFC owner, is looking
- 39:24Speaker 5: to purchase TNA. Also a e W Tony Kahan is
- 39:30Speaker 5: looking to buy ae W as well. It looks like
- 39:40Speaker 5: the arrangement the strategic goal is This arrangement is reportedly
- 39:44Speaker 5: part of ww's strategy to weaken its main competitor because
- 39:51Speaker 5: a W is a potentially against the make competitor a
- 39:57Speaker 5: W by potentially elevating TNA to the number to spot
- 40:00Speaker 5: in the wrestling landscape because their TV rights, their media
- 40:04Speaker 5: rights are up, and there's there's a discussion of them
- 40:08Speaker 5: going possibly to CW, which is where NXT is right now,
- 40:13Speaker 5: but that would put them on Wednesday nights, which I
- 40:16Speaker 5: believe is aw Dynamite. Is that what it is on Wednesdays? Yeah, Dynamite, Okay, ye, yeah,
- 40:25Speaker 5: So I mean, yeah, let's get into this. TNA, for
- 40:30Speaker 5: a lot of people who don't know, is another wrestling
- 40:33Speaker 5: company that started in two thousand and two. It was
- 40:37Speaker 5: founded by Jeff Jarrett and Jerry Jarrett. It was definitely
- 40:40Speaker 5: an alternative or alternative to WW at the time. They
- 40:45Speaker 5: were initially using the NWA World Heavyweight title and the
- 40:48Speaker 5: tag team titles. TEENA gained prominence by offering weekly pay
- 40:53Speaker 5: reviews and later a weekly television show called Impact and
- 40:58Speaker 5: the security deal with Spike TV. Back in the day,
- 41:02Speaker 5: I always thought of TNA always the place to go
- 41:07Speaker 5: when you got fired from w W. I I never
- 41:11Speaker 5: thought of them as competition for w W. I just
- 41:15Speaker 5: thought it was just another outlet and wrestling outlet, and
- 41:20Speaker 5: I would occasionally flip through channels and see TNA, and
- 41:23Speaker 5: I'd stick on it for a little bit and i'd see,
- 41:27Speaker 5: you know, so throughout the years, you know, Hogan was
- 41:29Speaker 5: on ten A for a little bit. I would see
- 41:32Speaker 5: Scott Steiner. I would see wrestlers like AJ Styles, a
- 41:36Speaker 5: young AJ Styles, Samoa Joe. I would see the hardy
- 41:41Speaker 5: boys on there, mister Anderson, Uh you know, uh yeah, dude,
- 41:50Speaker 5: It's just it's just another wrestling company and they and
- 41:54Speaker 5: I think, you know, I was surprised. I will say this,
- 41:57Speaker 5: I I've been very, very surprised, man, because they started
- 42:02Speaker 5: getting more growth in two thousand and seven to twenty ten,
- 42:06Speaker 5: and then I thought they were very par not on
- 42:12Speaker 5: par with ww but on par with like what AW is,
- 42:16Speaker 5: you know, at some point, and I think with a
- 42:20Speaker 5: little bit of help of WWE, it's definitely put them
- 42:23Speaker 5: up there, definitely on par with NXT as well. But
- 42:31Speaker 5: I on the whole notion of we're gonna talk about
- 42:35Speaker 5: two things here, what I want to talk about is
- 42:38Speaker 5: let's talk about the media rites. First. I don't feel
- 42:42Speaker 5: comfortable with having TNA going up against AW only because
- 42:47Speaker 5: we don't we don't need it, it's not needed. We
- 42:51Speaker 5: we kind of know who the number two company is
- 42:54Speaker 5: slowly becoming and if, if not, if WW does purchase TNA,
- 43:01Speaker 5: it will for sure make them the number two wrestling
- 43:04Speaker 5: company for sure.
- 43:06Speaker 6: Uh.
- 43:08Speaker 5: But for now, we just have so much wrestling. I
- 43:12Speaker 5: like it being spread out throughout the week. I love
- 43:15Speaker 5: having the option for if I want to to go
- 43:19Speaker 5: watch TNA on Thursdays, and if TNA does get purchased
- 43:23Speaker 5: by WWE, I will be tuning in and I want
- 43:26Speaker 5: that to be on Thursday. I don't want to have to.
- 43:31Speaker 5: I know competition is great for business, but I don't
- 43:37Speaker 5: need it. I don't think I don't think either show
- 43:41Speaker 5: needs it. What do you what do you think about
- 43:44Speaker 5: these meteorites and and them maybe challenging AW on on
- 43:48Speaker 5: Wednesday nights, Carlos.
- 43:52Speaker 7: If they're going to challenge ae W on Wednesday nights,
- 43:56Speaker 7: you can't do it with TNA. And I'm not looking
- 44:00Speaker 7: at their pay per view buys or anything like that.
- 44:03Speaker 7: I'm going to tell you when they come locally, right
- 44:07Speaker 7: and when they've come locally to Chicago. The recent venue
- 44:11Speaker 7: they use is a place in Cicero, right outside of Chicago.
- 44:16Speaker 7: It's called Cicero Stadium. If you're saying not saying like
- 44:20Speaker 7: you in particular, but medium outlets and things like that
- 44:24Speaker 7: are saying that tenas penciled in as the number two.
- 44:29Speaker 7: The capacity that the Cicero Stadium venue holds is eighteen hundred.
- 44:38Speaker 7: That was where pay per view, right Wayne, Wow, your
- 44:44Speaker 7: number you're saying the crown number two wrestling Nationwide Wrestling
- 44:51Speaker 7: Company can only and they barely filed that from what
- 44:54Speaker 7: I remember, because I checked tickets.
- 44:57Speaker 6: Like do I really want to go to this? And
- 45:01Speaker 6: eventually I chamber.
- 45:02Speaker 7: I didn't go, but I was like they still had
- 45:04Speaker 7: tickets to day of or an eighteen hundred seedt venue
- 45:10Speaker 7: or support reportedly the number two, whereas AEW which I
- 45:17Speaker 7: do question why they had it at the Aragon Ballroom
- 45:20Speaker 7: is primarily a music venue, but the capacity for that
- 45:24Speaker 7: is around maybe four thousand, five thousand people that they
- 45:28Speaker 7: could fit into that, and it's just like it's like
- 45:33Speaker 7: a regular like I don't know how to describe it,
- 45:37Speaker 7: but it's like a concert venue type of thing. Is
- 45:40Speaker 7: just like a stage and one long auditorium with balcony seeding.
- 45:46Speaker 7: So however they did the layout, I have to look
- 45:50Speaker 7: back on it, but I think they got up to
- 45:52Speaker 7: like three thousand people. And this is for a weekly show,
- 45:55Speaker 7: not a pay per view like DNA's that they were
- 45:58Speaker 7: trying to do at the social state. This is like
- 46:00Speaker 7: their dynamite, their collision, and they did like for three
- 46:04Speaker 7: weeks this setup and they sold.
- 46:07Speaker 5: Out all the numbers on LI Man. I mean, so
- 46:13Speaker 5: it's it's.
- 46:15Speaker 6: To me.
- 46:17Speaker 7: DNA has been on the decline for a very long time,
- 46:20Speaker 7: and for a while before aw even showed up, there
- 46:24Speaker 7: was no competition for w W, and that's why for
- 46:27Speaker 7: a while, and I know I've talked to you guys,
- 46:30Speaker 7: Dre and Doyle over this, there was like a lull
- 46:33Speaker 7: where we were watching wrestling. But has what has happened
- 46:37Speaker 7: recently to Doyle from if you've been in the discord
- 46:40Speaker 7: is usually he falls asleep during raw once in a while,
- 46:45Speaker 7: and I'm sure that happened to one of you know,
- 46:47Speaker 7: a couple of times to us where we're like, you
- 46:49Speaker 7: know what, we'll just catching tomorrow because there's really nothing.
- 46:52Speaker 7: There is no fear of missing out anything right now
- 46:56Speaker 7: or during that time that I'm referring to. So if
- 46:58Speaker 7: TNA was really the number two company, they would really
- 47:01Speaker 7: be threatening WWE at the time, and they haven't. They
- 47:04Speaker 7: haven't been doing that in a long time now. I
- 47:07Speaker 7: think maybe in the beginning when they peaked, like when
- 47:10Speaker 7: they first started from like I think maybe I could
- 47:14Speaker 7: say from two thousand and two to like two thousand
- 47:17Speaker 7: and five two thousand and six is when they had
- 47:20Speaker 7: their chance. But it's been all downhill and for them
- 47:27Speaker 7: to be now they have that option to get about out.
- 47:31Speaker 7: I'm pretty sure this is like sacrificing a pond like
- 47:36Speaker 7: in chess, where you strategically place it where like you
- 47:40Speaker 7: know what, they could try to go ahead and put
- 47:42Speaker 7: NXT to compete with AW, since you know, that's how
- 47:47Speaker 7: they really consider like people in the in the offices,
- 47:52Speaker 7: even Hunter keeps saying that they don't consider AW competition,
- 47:56Speaker 7: so why would like, but why would you put one
- 47:59Speaker 7: of your ten pole shows out there like NXC. They No,
- 48:03Speaker 7: They're like, you know what, we're just gonna put Let's
- 48:05Speaker 7: just have TNA go out there and do our dirty
- 48:07Speaker 7: work for us. And if they do it, if they
- 48:10Speaker 7: do it, that's good, and if they don't, they'll, you know,
- 48:15Speaker 7: they'll end up flopping and we'll just end up buying
- 48:17Speaker 7: them for cheaper because they're gonna have to either file
- 48:21Speaker 7: for bankruptcy or you know, they'll just be so depleted
- 48:25Speaker 7: funds wise. That's what I'm thinking. That's that's what's gonna
- 48:30Speaker 7: end up happening. No, No, it's just like, you know what,
- 48:34Speaker 7: just go out there, but we need bigger budget. No, no,
- 48:37Speaker 7: you can do it, you know whatever, and then Steve,
- 48:40Speaker 7: if they can make a Star Wars movie out of whatever,
- 48:42Speaker 7: they can, But I don't think it's gonna end up
- 48:44Speaker 7: like that succeeding at all.
- 48:47Speaker 5: Right, Well, there was a time, like what year do
- 48:53Speaker 5: I want to say, maybe like in the mid nineties
- 48:57Speaker 5: that ECW used to do work with WWE for a
- 49:02Speaker 5: little bit. They would have a little bit of Invasion crossovers.
- 49:06Speaker 5: They had in one in ninety seven they had an
- 49:08Speaker 5: Invasion crossover. It's just, you know, eventually what happened is
- 49:15Speaker 5: they ended up buying out that company. You know, they
- 49:18Speaker 5: kept a relationship with them, and they kind of used
- 49:20Speaker 5: I feel like they also at the time used ECW
- 49:23Speaker 5: to kind of poke and product WCW. I guess now
- 49:27Speaker 5: we can get into the aspect of of if WW
- 49:33Speaker 5: does buy TNA, well.
- 49:36Speaker 7: They're gonna buy it, but it's gonna be Penny's Penny's, Penny's, Benny's.
- 49:40Speaker 5: Yeah, dude, absolutely. And you know what, though, like this
- 49:42Speaker 5: has been a long time coming. I feel like I've
- 49:46Speaker 5: always like, oh, like you know, one day WW is
- 49:50Speaker 5: gonna buy tena just they're gonna absorb them like w
- 49:53Speaker 5: CW and ECW like uh. But you know what's critical
- 49:58Speaker 5: here is how we go about this When we get
- 50:01Speaker 5: these I don't know, think of it as like, you know,
- 50:07Speaker 5: you're getting your brother's toys, you know, like you know
- 50:11Speaker 5: your brother has a bunch of wrestlers and now he
- 50:14Speaker 5: doesn't want to nowhere, and now you're getting all his toys.
- 50:17Speaker 5: So but some of them are familiar toys because you
- 50:20Speaker 5: used to have them, but now some of them are
- 50:22Speaker 5: some new toys that you never got to play with.
- 50:24Speaker 5: But how do we do this the right way now?
- 50:29Speaker 5: I believed at one point when WW bought WCW that
- 50:34Speaker 5: maybe they should have tried to keep WCW the name
- 50:36Speaker 5: alive as a separate show. This is before we had
- 50:43Speaker 5: the row of SmackDown rosters and they were two completely
- 50:46Speaker 5: different shows. It felt like I think keeping WCW, maybe
- 50:52Speaker 5: on a different day, keeping that afloat would have done well.
- 50:55Speaker 5: Keeping that roster separate. Still, they could do that T
- 51:00Speaker 5: and A is. You know, they're going to keep tn
- 51:02Speaker 5: A completely separate as a completely different roster as well.
- 51:06Speaker 5: Why not? You know, I'd rather see that than it
- 51:11Speaker 5: get absorbed and dispersed into the the WW umbrella, because,
- 51:19Speaker 5: to be honest, I mean, our rosters are overwhelmed now already.
- 51:23Speaker 5: You know, uh WW just bought Triple A. Uh huh.
- 51:30Speaker 5: So it's like the Almighty you know, Thanos, you know,
- 51:34Speaker 5: collecting all the infinity stones that they're going to try
- 51:36Speaker 5: to get. Basically, they could essentially get WW on every
- 51:41Speaker 5: day of the week if they wanted.
- 51:42Speaker 6: To, or just under different names like exactly.
- 51:54Speaker 5: I recall there being a rumor about maybe an NXT
- 51:58Speaker 5: Japan or an NX Team Mexico, and you know, maybe
- 52:01Speaker 5: that's what the Triple A is. It's just doesn't have
- 52:04Speaker 5: a I don't know, maybe they'll keep it just Triple A,
- 52:08Speaker 5: just separate either way.
- 52:11Speaker 6: No, yeah, I think that's what's gonna end up happening.
- 52:14Speaker 7: And you could see it, like if you watch Triple
- 52:17Speaker 7: Mania yesterday or whenever you're listening to on August the.
- 52:21Speaker 6: Sixteenth, you could see the difference.
- 52:23Speaker 7: If you watch Triple Mania from like before this, they're
- 52:28Speaker 7: like the production value was very low rent. Uh the announcers, Uh,
- 52:35Speaker 7: they're okay. I still listened to it in Spanish. I
- 52:38Speaker 7: didn't listen to the JBL and Corey Graves thing, just
- 52:41Speaker 7: because that's how I'm used to watching it, right, But
- 52:45Speaker 7: they seemed a little bit more crisper, and as far
- 52:49Speaker 7: as the Spanish announcing goes, the presentations were better. So
- 52:55Speaker 7: you could see the influence that WW has on the
- 52:58Speaker 7: Triple A uh stay Federation.
- 53:03Speaker 6: Yeah, so you could see that.
- 53:06Speaker 7: It's like you mentioned, this was probably they're probably pivoted
- 53:10Speaker 7: now that they purchased like n X t uk folded.
- 53:14Speaker 7: You can only you know, that's probably something they learned
- 53:16Speaker 7: that we can't have another brand overseas, like making it
- 53:23Speaker 7: on our own when there's still all these when they're
- 53:25Speaker 7: still like major little indie promotions there, you know how
- 53:31Speaker 7: I can't name them, but I know, like England in
- 53:35Speaker 7: London and all those that they have, the little indie
- 53:37Speaker 7: ones like Sorea's parents, I think still have their emotions
- 53:41Speaker 7: still going. If you have those that are already ingrained
- 53:46Speaker 7: in like fans, they're never gonna go away. So it's
- 53:50Speaker 7: kind of pointless for you to go. But if you
- 53:52Speaker 7: already have something established, like a three play ah or
- 53:56Speaker 7: something like that, you can already you have the bone
- 54:00Speaker 7: structure already there.
- 54:01Speaker 6: You know, the infrastructure is what I meant. So now you.
- 54:05Speaker 7: Can just gut it kind of like a home remodel.
- 54:09Speaker 7: You keep finding what you can keep, what bones are
- 54:12Speaker 7: still good, and then build out from there because you
- 54:15Speaker 7: already had the fan base and as long as you
- 54:17Speaker 7: keep like the the talent that they like to watch,
- 54:22Speaker 7: which we got to see some of it, like I'm
- 54:25Speaker 7: halfway through.
- 54:25Speaker 6: I didn't get to finish it.
- 54:27Speaker 7: But they had the Scarlet Pumpernicompianilla Scarlata, Nina Burghesa, the
- 54:35Speaker 7: Hamburger Kid. You know, they had Elijo, the Doctor Wagner Junior.
- 54:40Speaker 7: There's basically Doctor Wagner the Third or Doctor Wagner the
- 54:46Speaker 7: Third type of thing. But they you know, Subernetico Messais
- 54:52Speaker 7: and they still have Cycle Clone, they have Mister Iguana.
- 54:55Speaker 7: You know, they're keeping people that the talent that people
- 54:59Speaker 7: have been watching and rooting for over the years, and
- 55:02Speaker 7: now they're like infusing WWE talent there because essentially that's
- 55:08Speaker 7: I think that's where it's gonna go where it's they're
- 55:10Speaker 7: gonna see, well, we'll see what you can do here.
- 55:13Speaker 7: They'll set up like a good framework, have some good
- 55:16Speaker 7: workers there that can put over their talent, so they
- 55:19Speaker 7: can pretty much have a measuring stick kind of like
- 55:22Speaker 7: the like the baseball where you're like, okay, well you
- 55:24Speaker 7: finished going through single A. Let's see bump you up
- 55:27Speaker 7: and let's go through double A and see how you
- 55:29Speaker 7: do there. Right, And it's we're gonna be one of
- 55:32Speaker 7: those many stepping stones, right.
- 55:36Speaker 5: You know, I've been catching clips of Triple Mania highlight
- 55:41Speaker 5: reels and stuff, and like I'm intrigued because I I
- 55:46Speaker 5: what really helps is the infusion of some ww wrestlers
- 55:50Speaker 5: going over there, and I'm like, oh, I know who
- 55:53Speaker 5: Natalia is, I know Dominic Masterio, I know dragon Ly, which,
- 55:57Speaker 5: by the way, Dragonly had a great entrance. Uh definitely
- 56:01Speaker 5: not the type he gets in ww EL Grande Americano.
- 56:04Speaker 5: You know some Judgment Day members Omas Otis, Like Otis
- 56:12Speaker 5: has been gone for a minute, he showed up like
- 56:15Speaker 5: I like the you know, I know these guys like
- 56:18Speaker 5: feeling like it made me feel like oh okay, like
- 56:22Speaker 5: I'm comfortable and like I know some people, it's like,
- 56:25Speaker 5: I don't know. If you go to a new place
- 56:26Speaker 5: you've never worked before, you know, and you're like, I
- 56:29Speaker 5: don't know anybody here, it's my first day. And but
- 56:32Speaker 5: then you see some like people you worked with before, like, Oh,
- 56:34Speaker 5: I know this guy fucking Otis, He's fucking hilarious, Like,
- 56:37Speaker 5: oh God, Omas, where have you been. Oh I've been here.
- 56:41Speaker 5: Oh dude, I know this guy. But it's if you
- 56:47Speaker 5: have that feeling as well with TNA. Bringing it back
- 56:50Speaker 5: to TNA, a lot of guys who left WWE, who
- 56:55Speaker 5: either at let go or left on their own accord,
- 56:59Speaker 5: went go to TNA and now that's where they're at.
- 57:02Speaker 5: And I know former former WW wrestler Dolph Zigler Nick
- 57:11Speaker 5: Nemath was saying how he does not like the idea
- 57:13Speaker 5: if WW would buy TNA because he went to, you know,
- 57:19Speaker 5: TNA to get away from WW. And I totally get
- 57:22Speaker 5: that as an employee point of view, Like you're happy,
- 57:26Speaker 5: you're kind of you feel like you get more creative
- 57:29Speaker 5: or maybe maybe a better work schedule or better pay
- 57:32Speaker 5: whatever in TNA, and you're happy and you're so glad
- 57:38Speaker 5: to get out from that WW corporate umbrella and now
- 57:41Speaker 5: you wake up the next morning you read headlines that
- 57:44Speaker 5: you know your former boss or former company is looking
- 57:47Speaker 5: to buy your new one that you're working at. It's like,
- 57:50Speaker 5: ah shit, you know, but I mean there's a lot
- 57:57Speaker 5: of pluses, a lot of pros for us. I mean,
- 58:01Speaker 5: think of the library that they're going to achieve and
- 58:06Speaker 5: and you know, get that they can use. It'd be
- 58:09Speaker 5: cool to show before guys before some of these TNA
- 58:14Speaker 5: guys that are in WW retire, it'd be cool to
- 58:16Speaker 5: see some highlights from their TNA career or maybe some
- 58:20Speaker 5: acknowledgments of those titles. You know, like AJ Styles, you know,
- 58:25Speaker 5: acknowledge how many titles he's held in TNA, like he's
- 58:28Speaker 5: a former so and so heavyweight TNA champion multiple time.
- 58:33Speaker 5: You know, I think that'd be really cool. It's like,
- 58:35Speaker 5: oh God, like did this guy did work here? Like
- 58:38Speaker 5: seeing punk did work in TNA? You know, bring up
- 58:41Speaker 5: that even you know, also how bad or how nice
- 58:48Speaker 5: would be to stick it to Tony Kahan if they
- 58:50Speaker 5: do have TNA on Wednesdays and have you know, former
- 58:57Speaker 5: aw guys showing up on TNA. You know, how do
- 59:01Speaker 5: you feel if seam Punk showed up on TNA one night,
- 59:04Speaker 5: you know, going back to the old stomping grounds or
- 59:07Speaker 5: having you know, I don't know, I think that'd be
- 59:11Speaker 5: funny having maybe Cody Road show up on Wednesday night,
- 59:15Speaker 5: a you know, we're against aw Dynamite. He shows up
- 59:19Speaker 5: at TNA to maybe tag with Joe Henry. Uh, you know,
- 59:24Speaker 5: we got the hardy boys over there, we got the
- 59:27Speaker 5: dudly boys over there.
- 59:30Speaker 7: I'm trying to think, well, just just one, because we
- 59:34Speaker 7: don't know the extent of how much how many pumps
- 59:37Speaker 7: Steven can take.
- 59:38Speaker 5: Yeah, dude, I'm I'm very shocked that that man is
- 59:42Speaker 5: even agreeing to this. I'm trying to think, oh, right now,
- 59:49Speaker 5: we also have I'm looking after our current roster. J C. Jane,
- 59:52Speaker 5: one of our NXT wrestlers, now holds both women's titles
- 59:56Speaker 5: from both shows, you know.
- 59:59Speaker 7: Yeah, and that's something that I wanted to get to
- 1:00:01Speaker 7: because all right, so we have we have n XT,
- 1:00:07Speaker 7: we have a Cy James, their women's champion, and we have.
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: Ooh, you're forgetting this name one who was with Carmelo Hayes,
- 1:00:22Speaker 6: Trick Williams.
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: Trick Williams was, Yeah, Trick Williams is the men's right, Yes,
- 1:00:28Speaker 7: the men's heavyweight champion. So NXT is their developmental In
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: my eyes, this pretty much like brings down the level
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: of their title. If they're considered quote unquote the number two.
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: You can't have a develop another person's developmental.
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: Talent.
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: B the you know the face of your women's division
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: and the face of your men's division. Right, So this
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: is in my eyes, this is like just the way
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: of them bringing down bringing down the value of TNA.
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: You can make the argument the TNA is gonna benefit
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: from this, get the rub from having Trick Williams and
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: Jason Jane as their champions and like the cross promotion
- 1:01:21Speaker 7: partnership that they've had is working for TNA. But in
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: my eyes, it's just degrading that promotion a little bit
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: more and it's just going to make it easier for
- 1:01:32Speaker 7: them to buy it than by twenty twenty seven mm hm.
- 1:01:40Speaker 7: Like you mentioned, they WWE is going to have like
- 1:01:43Speaker 7: a stranglehold.
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: And when it comes to like a library.
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: Because they have the old Georgia Championship wrestling NWA to
- 1:01:58Speaker 7: a certain point, because I think Billy Corgan, now that
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: he owns NWA, he's held down to some of a bit,
- 1:02:04Speaker 7: but it's been going like this year and this year
- 1:02:08Speaker 7: I think only belongs to the WW. I don't have
- 1:02:13Speaker 7: the specifics on it, but I know there's like bits
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: and pieces of it they don't have, like the whole
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: library of NWA, but they got parts of it. He
- 1:02:20Speaker 7: had the w CW one now and then you know
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: as well, and if they get a hold of the
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: TNA one, the only one they had, the only promotion,
- 1:02:31Speaker 7: major promotion besides the ECW sorry you had that on
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: there as well. The only promotion they don't have would
- 1:02:37Speaker 7: be the rest of the NWA one and the Ring
- 1:02:40Speaker 7: of Honor one, which thankfully Tony Kahn was smart enough
- 1:02:43Speaker 7: to buy when they started up as aw M. Yeah,
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: that would have been a massive library for WWW to have.
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely, oh yeah, yeah, I mean that's a lot
- 1:03:05Speaker 5: to acquire. And are you right though like that? To
- 1:03:07Speaker 5: have TEENA have the feeling that it's on the same
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: par as NXT, it sucks, But that's just how it's
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: gonna probably end up being, not going to put them
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: on par with. There was a time when it felt
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: like NXT was slowly becoming taken more seriously when they
- 1:03:27Speaker 5: were involved in Survivors Series. It felt like NXT definitely
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: the third brand, and if there was, there were times, yeah,
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: it felt like legit. I mean, most of that roster.
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: We wanted it to come up before because that's how
- 1:03:44Speaker 7: it fed up. We were with what Vince was giving
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: in the mid to or late teens.
- 1:03:51Speaker 6: You know, we were like.
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: Having to watch rock Lesnard with suplex cities to everybody
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: for like five minutes, and then he would just give
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: him an F five and that'd be like a seven
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: minute match and it's over.
- 1:04:05Speaker 6: Uh huh. And that was your main that was your
- 1:04:09Speaker 6: main event of WrestleMania.
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: I think, though, wouldn't it be cool if we we
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: got the invasion angle done correctly. I'm not saying you
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: need to invade the main roster, but to have them
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: truly invade NXT. I know we have ten A wrestlers
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: show up on NXT and vice versa, but like to
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: have like a true invasion of TENA wrestlers showing up
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: on NXT. You know, reckon shop. If you ever wanted
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: to go the distance and write it, well, you could
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: probably do with the main roster, But I don't think
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: you need to involve the main roster you want to
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: take NXT seriously, then have them defend the w w
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: NA and to handle TNA wrestlers on their own. Just
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: going through their roster, I counted at least twenty five
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: former ww wrestlers, so that that's twenty five familiar faces
- 1:05:13Speaker 5: that would show up, you know, wrestlers get jumped and
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: like oh my god, like I don't know these two
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: other guys, but I know, like these three other guys
- 1:05:23Speaker 5: that are with them though, and like, oh they're all
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: from TNA. Holy shit, Like I don't know. It's gonna
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: be very interesting to see how they handle TNA once
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: it's in their hands, what they do with with that
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: new set of toys, those new wrestlers, those new storylines
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: that they can do, new titles, new show, new everything dumb.
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: That's just a lot to absorb into a wrestling company.
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: Like I said, I think the best thing to do
- 1:05:51Speaker 5: is just leave it be. Like you know, I don't
- 1:05:55Speaker 5: think you need to go up against AW just keep
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: it as so separate entity. I think the roster that
- 1:06:05Speaker 5: they have is probably happy with working with each other,
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: and they probably want to continue working with each other,
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: so maybe it's not best to separate them but I
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: kind of, like I said, I kind of knew this
- 1:06:17Speaker 5: would happened one day. It was inevitable. But once ta
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: H started doing more relationships, we started seeing more and
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: more work with them TNA, and I was like, ooh,
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: we're closing in on something big happening. I was like,
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: the seeds are being planted, and that's how I felt,
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: man Like, the seeds were totally being planted. And you know,
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: fast forward a couple of months. You know, we had
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: Jordan Grace at the Royal Rumble. We have the TNA
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: champion show up at WrestleMania. We had the NXT take
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: the TNA title over to their show and keep it there.
- 1:07:00Speaker 5: We've had the women win both world Women's titles. Like
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: we're in just in a few months, We've we've had
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: something that was unheard of in WW. You know, Vinceman
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: never let this shit happen, never in a million years.
- 1:07:18Speaker 5: But it's it's just happening so fast. And now it's
- 1:07:21Speaker 5: like we're getting all this talk about it possibly being
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: up for sale, and WW like for sure gets first
- 1:07:30Speaker 5: say and I think it'd be just silly for them
- 1:07:35Speaker 5: to pass on it. But at the end of the day, dude,
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: I'm very curious with numbers, like how much are you
- 1:07:42Speaker 5: guys gonna buy them for? Like how much are they asking?
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: How much are they worth? And how much are we
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: actually gonna get? You know, I want to know numbers
- 1:07:50Speaker 5: at the end of the day.
- 1:07:53Speaker 7: Oh yeah, they cut out there for a little bit.
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: But I mean, I see what your point is, where
- 1:08:02Speaker 7: you're coming from and things like that.
- 1:08:04Speaker 6: I do like that invasion angle.
- 1:08:07Speaker 7: Yea, once again, if we're once again considering that TNA
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: is or the WWE wants to consider that TNA is
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: number two nationwide wrestling promotion, you can't have the invasion
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: angle happen on the development of what's considered the development development.
- 1:08:32Speaker 7: So so either they need to stop calling n XT
- 1:08:36Speaker 7: developmental and maybe you can merge eventually, you know, like
- 1:08:41Speaker 7: say this invasion happens, you know that's where they're going
- 1:08:46Speaker 7: merge next TTNA into the third brand. It's no longer developmental.
- 1:08:55Speaker 7: Then you can probably run into having a better invasion angle.
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: You you can't have that, I think in my head,
- 1:09:04Speaker 7: you can't have TNA and NXT have that maybe for
- 1:09:10Speaker 7: that NXT storyline, but that can't be the end. It
- 1:09:13Speaker 7: has to progress even further, like you mentioned, like if.
- 1:09:16Speaker 6: You see that.
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: And you can't make SmackDown or raw one, it has
- 1:09:23Speaker 7: to be in steps. But and behind the scenes, you're
- 1:09:26Speaker 7: basically gonna have to end up merging NXT into TNA
- 1:09:29Speaker 7: if you wanted to have that storylining.
- 1:09:32Speaker 6: Think in my head for it to work.
- 1:09:38Speaker 5: I don't know, man, it's it's it's gonna be interesting.
- 1:09:41Speaker 5: I'm fascinated by these next few months. Uh.
- 1:09:45Speaker 6: Just it's gonna be interesting.
- 1:09:48Speaker 5: The just the wrestling landscape is changing so much with
- 1:09:53Speaker 5: now being so many other wrestling companies with ww doing
- 1:09:56Speaker 5: business with TNA than purchasing U Triple A. Recently we
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: discussed them going to ESPN next year. You know, the
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: Peacock deal is over. Just today, actually, I was cleaning
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: out my Xbox and I deleted the WWE app, which
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: I still had on there. I was like, holy shit,
- 1:10:17Speaker 5: I can't believe I still have this app on here.
- 1:10:21Speaker 5: You know. It's I missed the app so much, man,
- 1:10:25Speaker 5: nine ninety nine and then had everything on it.
- 1:10:27Speaker 7: Should have probably kept it under you think so. And
- 1:10:31Speaker 7: there's some you probably could have sold. You probably could
- 1:10:33Speaker 7: have sold it on eBay, Like, hey, I still have
- 1:10:37Speaker 7: the w e app and yeah, and see, I doubt
- 1:10:41Speaker 7: it works, but I know there's some whiz that sell
- 1:10:43Speaker 7: that still, Like if you could get Netflix to work
- 1:10:46Speaker 7: on the Wii, those so pretty for a good penny.
- 1:10:50Speaker 5: Oh wow, Actually I think I do have Netflix on
- 1:10:53Speaker 5: mine to send a way. That's awesome. But uh yeah, man,
- 1:10:58Speaker 5: that's all I got right now for the TNA news. Really,
- 1:11:02Speaker 5: we're we're not getting a lot of information yet. It's
- 1:11:06Speaker 5: just this is just what's hit the news, and I
- 1:11:08Speaker 5: just tell you everything in that I've read and everything
- 1:11:11Speaker 5: I found out. I don't think I missed anything from
- 1:11:15Speaker 5: this TNA deal. We talked about the media rights where
- 1:11:18Speaker 5: that's going, when we talked about the company being sold
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: as a whole, so you know, for that.
- 1:11:29Speaker 7: Them having first refusals, it's very interesting. Yeah, dude, I
- 1:11:36Speaker 7: didn't know about that, about that clause, the first refusal,
- 1:11:39Speaker 7: because I was like, Tony Kahan and his dad had
- 1:11:42Speaker 7: the money. I mean, like they own English premier soccer
- 1:11:46Speaker 7: team overseas. You know, they're not like the best, but
- 1:11:51Speaker 7: just owning those is already like a billions of dollars.
- 1:11:54Speaker 6: It's worth more and then or.
- 1:11:57Speaker 7: If not as an NFL team, just maybe just as
- 1:12:01Speaker 7: a little bit more because it's an English Premier team,
- 1:12:05Speaker 7: and then you know they owned the Jaguars. So as
- 1:12:08Speaker 7: you know, like I mentioned, like the NFL's one considered,
- 1:12:12Speaker 7: you know, one of those things that there's the cream
- 1:12:14Speaker 7: of the crop in the United States as SiZ as
- 1:12:16Speaker 7: it goes. I know, the Portland Trail Blazers just recently
- 1:12:19Speaker 7: sold for four billion dollars. But a decent NFL team
- 1:12:24Speaker 7: maybe not like the something similar to like.
- 1:12:29Speaker 6: What sold recently.
- 1:12:31Speaker 7: I don't remember what team sold recently, but there's I
- 1:12:34Speaker 7: think was it the Saints or somebody When they sold,
- 1:12:38Speaker 7: they was sold for like either three billion or or
- 1:12:42Speaker 7: somewhere around that time when they sold, and that was
- 1:12:45Speaker 7: just like maybe ten or fifteen years ago, So imagine
- 1:12:48Speaker 7: now how much they would sell for. So you know,
- 1:12:54Speaker 7: they have that they could always get into.
- 1:12:56Speaker 6: I think.
- 1:12:58Speaker 7: Tony Khan's father is worth eighteen billion whatever acidt he
- 1:13:05Speaker 7: has on his own, So it's it's not like pushing
- 1:13:08Speaker 7: over ECW when they're on the brink of bankrupte every week.
- 1:13:14Speaker 5: Yeah, it says the company's maybe worth fifteen point three billion.
- 1:13:22Speaker 5: I'll berate them impairs or ports revenue. I don't know.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: This is.
- 1:13:28Speaker 5: Wow wow wow wow wow, because if that's fifteen something,
- 1:13:31Speaker 5: that's that's not a lot of money. Yeah, I don't
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: know either way. I think it's WW is not going
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: to have an issue being able to afford it.
- 1:13:44Speaker 7: Oh no, no, no, no, it's just they'll get to
- 1:13:48Speaker 7: they'll get to teenage. It's just a matter of if
- 1:13:50Speaker 7: and when it happens, because with them having first refusal,
- 1:13:55Speaker 7: you know, if they want to sell it to that guy,
- 1:13:57Speaker 7: but they formerly earned Lorenzo for Tita, for Tata, Yeah,
- 1:14:02Speaker 7: for Tita, so you know that that will be just
- 1:14:07Speaker 7: like hiring your best friend. It's like if you owned
- 1:14:10Speaker 7: t k O Sports and Dre owned d n A
- 1:14:14Speaker 7: and you know, or Dre wanted to buy DNA and
- 1:14:17Speaker 7: you had like I wanted to buy DNA, but you know, like,
- 1:14:20Speaker 7: you know what, I'm gonna give it to Dre because
- 1:14:23Speaker 7: he's my co hold and my best friend.
- 1:14:24Speaker 6: So oh wait, oh.
- 1:14:29Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, you never know. I got cha deciding on
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: the thumbnail I want to use for this episode. I'm
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: always trying to make interesting thumbnails for the episodes. Uh
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: mm hmm.
- 1:14:47Speaker 6: I found found you found one.
- 1:14:52Speaker 7: Was the same, Like, uh, I was gonna say maybe
- 1:14:56Speaker 7: like you have the Dudley Boys.
- 1:14:58Speaker 6: And uh, they're like the TNA logo of someone being
- 1:15:03Speaker 6: three D through a table or something like.
- 1:15:05Speaker 5: That, a slim Gym table. Oh man, could you imagine
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: like TNA would need like slim Gym tables and stuff,
- 1:15:12Speaker 5: and we need all that stuff.
- 1:15:18Speaker 6: It's just more money than slim Jim's like, yes, God.
- 1:15:21Speaker 5: Damn, slim Gym's gotten so much money for from professional wrestling. Yeah,
- 1:15:27Speaker 5: it's it's ridiculous. Uh. I think next episode we're going
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: to do Clash the Castle Predictions. I guess yeah, Clash Paris,
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: Clash in Paris. Oh yeah that's right, Clashing Patty.
- 1:15:44Speaker 7: No, no, no, no, no, Castle in Paris.
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, we're bad at this all right? Yeah, do
- 1:15:57Speaker 5: you got anything you want to plug? I saw you
- 1:15:59Speaker 5: you guys didn't episode of ww Unreal I watched.
- 1:16:05Speaker 6: Thank you for watching.
- 1:16:06Speaker 7: But yes, we did recently do an episode of WWN
- 1:16:10Speaker 7: reel trying to figure out who the show.
- 1:16:14Speaker 6: Was made for.
- 1:16:16Speaker 7: Was it made for hardcore fans like us Wayne drey
- 1:16:21Speaker 7: Doyle smart marks that tried a fantasy book or try
- 1:16:24Speaker 7: to predict where storylines go, or wasn't made for more
- 1:16:28Speaker 7: of a fan like my wife who's recently been joining
- 1:16:32Speaker 7: me and discussing WrestleMania events of the past as normally
- 1:16:36Speaker 7: our podcast does. So it was interesting to go through
- 1:16:39Speaker 7: that and see her views and what worked for her,
- 1:16:42Speaker 7: what didn't work for her, and what she was a
- 1:16:44Speaker 7: fan of.
- 1:16:46Speaker 5: Ye I watched all the episodes and I'm kind of
- 1:16:50Speaker 5: like psyched for next season. It was it was kind
- 1:16:56Speaker 5: of nice scene behind the curtain a little bit, even
- 1:17:00Speaker 5: though a lot of stuff was kind of predictable, but
- 1:17:04Speaker 5: a lot of stuff was fairly new to me, so
- 1:17:08Speaker 5: I'm definitely down to see it again. Yeah.
- 1:17:13Speaker 7: Man, that's interested to see how they they started pivoting
- 1:17:17Speaker 7: or when they thought that they should start pivoting away
- 1:17:20Speaker 7: from heel seeing and goal, you know, towards the Summer
- 1:17:25Speaker 7: Slam result that we got, because that's this season ended with,
- 1:17:30Speaker 7: you know, the WrestleMania leg, so now we had to
- 1:17:32Speaker 7: see the other continuation of the leg in Summer Slam
- 1:17:36Speaker 7: maybe onto Survivor series.
- 1:17:39Speaker 5: Yeah, not true. Yeah, So if you haven't got to
- 1:17:45Speaker 5: uh revisiting the Mania on YouTube and and check it out,
- 1:17:49Speaker 5: because I didn't, and it was a good episode. So
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: uh yeah, that's all I got, man, uh, let's next
- 1:17:57Speaker 5: short episode. Let's get the hell out of here, you
- 1:18:04Speaker 5: fucking mark.

- 1:20:38Speaker 1: that I am the best on this microphone and in
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: that break give it a commentary.
- 1:20:44Speaker 6: Nobody can touch me.
- 1:20:45Speaker 10: You are not private Ward.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: It's because the street puppet and we watch the stuff
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: you're talk about, your sons talk about.
- 1:21:02Speaker 5: John three sixteen Hobstad three sixteen says, I just whipped
- 1:21:07Speaker 5: your ask.
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: Well, let me tell you, fucking brother.
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: New day, Queen, Praise to the top all year, my
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: true man this year.
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: Welcome to the top, and Owen show.
- 1:21:31Speaker 5: Lately he just hasn't been terry.
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: Ucy because I'm know this and I'm here. Oh so.
- 1:21:49Speaker 10: Those rotten bastards Bye bye.
- 1:21:57Speaker 5: Bit's
