Transcript
- 0:17Welcome in to a very exciting episode and special edition of the scene.
- 0:22Today, I am joined by the city administrator for the city of Leed and my friend, Robin
- 0:27Lucero.
- 0:28Robin, welcome to the show.
- 0:29Morning.
- 0:30We're gonna get to talk about one of my favorite events of all time, the Gold Camp
- 0:35Jubilee Days in Lead, South Dakota today, my hometown, at least the home community.
- 0:41Deadwood address, but Lead always felt like the community.
- 0:44Right?
- 0:44And and I know that that's true for you as well.
- 0:47A little inside baseball, Robin and I grew up as neighbors, when we were growing up.
- 0:51So, great conversation today, and wanna get a little bit, out of the way early about just
- 0:58what is Gold Camp Jubilee Days from a historical standpoint.
- 1:03That's a great question.
- 1:04And this year is the hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the city of Leed being founded
- 1:11and also the hundredth anniversary of the first Gold Camp Jubilee days.
- 1:16And so in 1926, Homestake put on this huge celebration.
- 1:22They brought in a band, and they made a huge stage, and they had a a great big community
- 1:29celebration.
- 1:29At that time, it was during Labor Day.
- 1:32And ever since then, it was Labor Day in the beginning.
- 1:36Now it shifted to the July 4, and the city of Leed has a a big community celebration every
- 1:42year.
- 1:42This is the hundredth year.
- 1:44Yeah.
- 1:44Incredible.
- 1:45And now I've had a chance to play it with my band starts and ends a few times.
- 1:49I also played it.
- 1:50That was one of my first big live performances actually in the band shell.
- 1:53My first time singing in front of what was probably a thousand people out there, with my
- 1:58dad's old band, the acoustic gypsies, way back when.
- 2:02It's so fun.
- 2:04This event means so much to me personally, although I don't get to make it back there, you
- 2:09know, very often now that I don't live in the community.
- 2:11But I know what it means to the community, and not just because of the fireworks show, which
- 2:16is the best in the world.
- 2:18I will promise you when they shoot these fireworks over the open cut mine that is now
- 2:22the Sanford Lab up there, that they have the biggest boom you will ever hear and feel in
- 2:30your life.
- 2:31But this year, it is about way more than just the fireworks.
- 2:34Robin, can you tell me and maybe we'll just take it day by day.
- 2:38Let's start with Thursday, July 2, and we'll move from there.
- 2:42Okay.
- 2:42That sounds good.
- 2:43So on on Thursday, we are going to that's kind of the kickoff.
- 2:48We're hoping that people will come to town on Thursday, and they'll stay through Sunday.
- 2:53So down here on Main Street where the Homestake Opera House is, that's also where the Lee
- 3:00Deadwood Art Center is.
- 3:01And so they are gonna have an alumni art show.
- 3:04An alumni, meaning Lee Deadwood graduates, can enter in artwork that will be on display the
- 3:10whole weekend.
- 3:11So that's gonna be kind of a open house style where they are looking for anyone that does any
- 3:16type of artistic, you know, anything from welding to painting to poems, anything like
- 3:23that can be submitted to that art show.
- 3:26And then for a children's exhibit, the lead historic preservation group is going to be
- 3:32hosting a more than gold exhibit in the Opera House.
- 3:37It's gonna be hands on for kids.
- 3:39And what they're gonna learn is they're gonna learn how the settlers actually came to Lead
- 3:44and how they laid out the town of Lead.
- 3:46And so this interactive kid activity is gonna teach the kids how to find the North Star using
- 3:54the stars, and so they set that up at night.
- 3:56And then during the day, that's they could use north to be able to lay out the town.
- 4:02So they're gonna have kind of a, stars laid out in the exhibit hall of the opera house so they
- 4:09can find out how to find that north star, and then they'll be able to lay out north, south,
- 4:14east, west using that.
- 4:16And then they can design their own town from there.
- 4:19They're also gonna have a really cool exhibit where if you have a historical photo of, like,
- 4:25your grandparents or your great grandparents, you can send that in.
- 4:29And Terry Smith with historic preservation, they're going to print those.
- 4:33They're gonna have AI do it into a a printable color picture.
- 4:38So historic picture into a coloring photo that the kids can color of their family, and then
- 4:44that's gonna go in the time capsule that we're gonna do.
- 4:47So later on, I'll talk about the time capsule.
- 4:51But this is gonna be super cool because kids are gonna be the ones that are gonna be around
- 4:55when we get to open that time capsule.
- 4:57And so for them to kind of find their family history, get to do a drawing and color it, and
- 5:03then have that be in the time capsule is super cool.
- 5:06There's gonna be a really awesome silent auction down at the Opera House all day on
- 5:12Thursday as well.
- 5:14I think it's gonna close at 5PM.
- 5:15There is gonna be some historic home stake artifacts that you will not find anywhere else
- 5:21that have come out of the woodwork from people here in Leed that are gonna be on display and
- 5:26available to purchase at that silent auction.
- 5:29So we're excited for that.
- 5:31There's gonna be a couple different walking tours also on Thursday featuring the Slavonian
- 5:37neighborhood, which is actually Gwen and Julius down off of Main Street.
- 5:42And so we're gonna talk about the history of the people that lived there and when they moved
- 5:47here and kind of their culture culture and their heritage, look at some houses that, that
- 5:52some of those Slovonian people lived in.
- 5:55So that's gonna be at 10:00 or 01:00 on Thursday.
- 6:00And then really, like, the signature event for Thursday is Todd Jones, the director of the
- 6:07Historic Homestake Opera House, and Terry Smith, who is lead historic preservation,
- 6:12researches everything there is to know about Lead.
- 6:16They have gotten together, and they have written a play.
- 6:20But it's really more than a play because they have found historical music that was written by
- 6:26people that were settling here in Lead in the Black Hills, and they are have brought that
- 6:32music forward.
- 6:33Humbletown is going to play this music in this play, and it's gonna be fabulous.
- 6:39It's gonna go from the beginning of lead, you know, when it was founded in 1876.
- 6:44There's going to be historical pictures on display with Humbletown playing this music.
- 6:50There's gonna be actors.
- 6:51They're gonna go over all of the major significant events that happened in lead over
- 6:57time with homestate closing and the lab and subsidence from the lab and pretty much just
- 7:03this, like, awesome whole picture history
- 7:09of
- 7:09the town combined with photos, combined with music.
- 7:12It is a once in a lifetime show.
- 7:14It is written locally, played locally.
- 7:18It is it's really gonna just be really fabulous.
- 7:20And that's at seven.
- 7:21It is a ticketed event, so you can get your tickets at the opera house for that.
- 7:27Yeah.
- 7:27Talk about celebrating the heritage, and I love that that's the start.
- 7:30Celebrating what was old and bringing that into I know that the whole weekend kinda celebrates
- 7:36that, but what a great way to really dig into the history.
- 7:39You speak about talented lead high school alumni.
- 7:43Dylan has to be towards the top of that list no matter what generation we're pulling from.
- 7:48Obviously, part of Humble Town, Friends of the Scene.
- 7:51They've been on our program several times, and one of my all time favorites.
- 7:55My kids were just asking about them the other day, actually.
- 7:58So Thursday sounds like an incredible experience.
- 8:01A lot of new stuff.
- 8:02Right?
- 8:02And typically, the town has always had events, but I don't feel like and especially since the
- 8:08mine closed down, you know, when we were in high school, right, just moving into high
- 8:12school, the mine closes down.
- 8:13I know your dad worked there for a long time.
- 8:16That mine was everything to the town.
- 8:18And when it faded, it lost a lot of the the history.
- 8:21Right?
- 8:21We lost a lot of the people that had ties to the community.
- 8:25So being able to come back now, you know, twenty five years after that point and to
- 8:30celebrate that mining history, although the facilities and the giant hole in the ground
- 8:35isn't going anywhere anytime soon, what is the open cut, that we don't often get a chance to
- 8:42celebrate that culture and those people that founded those and and really worked that land
- 8:48over.
- 8:49So I think it's great that you're kinda starting there and then, moving into a a lot
- 8:54more great stuff.
- 8:56So what does Friday have in store for us, Robin?
- 9:00Friday is going to be jam packed as well, and the alumni art show is still gonna be on
- 9:07exhibit for anyone that wants to check that out at the art center.
- 9:11There is going to be a car show and parade that's gonna be down at Manuel Brothers Park
- 9:17That starts at 9AM, goes till 1PM.
- 9:21It's sponsored by Northland Auto, which is a car dealership we have here in town.
- 9:26They have a ton of classic and vintage cars.
- 9:30So they'll have some of their own cars down there, but also people from the community will
- 9:34have their classic cars.
- 9:36And so there will be a band down there as well during the car show.
- 9:41And the science museum and exhibits at the Sanford Lab Visitor Center will be open for
- 9:47kiddos.
- 9:48So there'll be, you know, there'll be a band, and there'll be a beer garden and the car show
- 9:52kinda out in the Manual Brothers Park parking lot.
- 9:55But then inside the visitor center for kids, there's some hands on learning for different
- 10:00things that relate to surf, which, like you said, Bubba, is the new, underground science
- 10:07lab that has moved into the old mine of Homestake.
- 10:10So so that's kinda cool.
- 10:12Kids can learn about that.
- 10:14And then, really, our main focus for on Friday is the Rock the Hills concert.
- 10:19And so this is actually sponsored by the city of Leed and because it is the big hundred and
- 10:24fiftieth celebration for the city.
- 10:26So we're gonna have four different bands at kind of a once in a lifetime event.
- 10:32Up at Mountain Top, it's gonna be, you know, an open air concert.
- 10:35There's a lot of space up there.
- 10:37It's on the top of the mountain.
- 10:38You can see Terry Peak, and you have these great mountain views.
- 10:42We're bringing in a big production stage, and the doors for that open at eleven.
- 10:48The first band is Bittersweet.
- 10:50They're gonna start at noon and play till two.
- 10:52They're kind of acoustic classic rock, just a two person band.
- 10:56So they're gonna be a great first band.
- 10:58The second band is Brandon Sprague Band.
- 11:00So he's gonna play from three to 04:30.
- 11:03He's kind of bluesy.
- 11:05And then Stereotrip out of Rapid is gonna play from five to seven, and they're gonna kinda do
- 11:12some modern and some classic rock type things.
- 11:16And the main band is Lexington Lab Band, and they are coming out of Kentucky.
- 11:21They are said to be America's number one cover band.
- 11:25And so they're going to come in.
- 11:27They're gonna start at 08:30 and play till 10:30.
- 11:30This is kinda cool, Bubba.
- 11:32I think you'll like it.
- 11:33They bring in they have, like, a group of 10, and they all travel together.
- 11:37And when they come in, they play straight for two hours.
- 11:40They're they don't take a break, but they bring in these band members where they can play
- 11:44heart, and they can play Aerosmith, and they can play the Eagles.
- 11:47They can just it's like listening to classic rock Pandora for two hours with this band
- 11:52that's gonna be here.
- 11:54And you can check them out on YouTube.
- 11:56They they're awesome, and they're actually bringing in the production with them from
- 12:01Kentucky, which we're excited about, and it's gonna be a big show.
- 12:04It's gonna be super exciting.
- 12:07You can get your concert tickets now for that.
- 12:09We are charging $30 for general admission and 50 for VIP.
- 12:15There are only 500 VIP tickets, and we've sold about a 150.
- 12:21The VIP people get a fancy bathroom trailer, which is a cool thing.
- 12:25For some people, it has running water, flush toilets, all of that.
- 12:29And then, also, we'll have a different VIP bar with more options up front for our VIP ticket
- 12:35holders.
- 12:36We are going to have transportation because anybody that's been to LEAD knows we have
- 12:42parking issues.
- 12:43And so people that live in Deadwood, we are gonna run a trolley every half an hour starting
- 12:48at 11AM.
- 12:49So every half an hour, on the hour, and every half an hour, they can catch a trolley up from
- 12:55Deadwood at the Sherman Street parking lot.
- 12:57That's gonna be free of charge.
- 12:59We want Deadwood people to come up here.
- 13:01People you know, we don't want people to have to worry about parking.
- 13:05So they can catch that trolley.
- 13:07If you're staying in Deadwood, live in Deadwood, wanna park in Deadwood.
- 13:11The other option is we're gonna have the lower parking lot of Terry Peak open, and so that's
- 13:17like the dark horse saloon parking lot for anybody that skis.
- 13:21And so people can park there, and we're gonna have school buses that are gonna run from the
- 13:27Terry Peak parking lot to Manuel Brothers Park to Mountaintop.
- 13:30So we'll have vendors and different things down at Manuel Brothers Park.
- 13:35We're also going to have vendors, food, beer, pop and water, kids games, things like that up
- 13:41at the concert.
- 13:42So if there is limited parking or if people don't wanna deal with parking challenges, they
- 13:47can just head on out to Terry Peak, catch the bus in, and then catch the bus back out when
- 13:51they're ready.
- 13:53Yeah.
- 13:53Incredible.
- 13:54And those are the big challenges with a town that was built, on top of a hill.
- 13:58Obviously, we grew up there and dealt with driving it.
- 14:01Both of us probably spun a vehicle or two off the roads in the wintertime, that I can recall
- 14:07anyway.
- 14:08And, you know, driving up and down these hills can be extremely difficult.
- 14:11So how nice to provide an opportunity for people to like, hey.
- 14:14Even if you're coming from out of town, park in Deadwood.
- 14:16We'll come get you.
- 14:18You know, you could probably if you if you show up and you got a little time, go hit a casino,
- 14:22come back down, catch the trolley up, and then being able to so the trolley is just going to
- 14:27the Emanuel Brothers Park, but then you could catch one of the buses from the park and then
- 14:31up to Mountaintop.
- 14:33The trolley is actually gonna just go from Deadwood up to Mountaintop.
- 14:37Okay.
- 14:38Awesome.
- 14:38Straight to the concert.
- 14:39Yep.
- 14:40Fantastic.
- 14:41So yeah.
- 14:41But there's plenty of transportation that you could get from any one of these places.
- 14:45Solving the parking issue, I'm sure, for you guys on the logistical side was one of the
- 14:49biggest challenges.
- 14:51You know, production for bands and everything are are not, without their own challenges as
- 14:57well, but how cool.
- 14:58I mean, we spent a ton of time up there as kids.
- 15:01All of our sports teams practiced up there at some point.
- 15:04We used to have little league baseball up there when we first moved to town in the late
- 15:08nineties.
- 15:09So a lot of memories up there, and and really cool to see that space getting utilized for
- 15:14something amazing.
- 15:15It's gonna be beautiful up there at night underneath the stars on top of the world.
- 15:19Right?
- 15:20The only thing taller than you is Terry Peak off in the distance.
- 15:24It's gonna be absolutely magical up there.
- 15:26So and some great local bands combined with fun to bring in someone from out of town as well to
- 15:32bring something different.
- 15:34Right?
- 15:34I love Brandon Sprague, Stereotrip.
- 15:36Shout out to Margie Gruba and my friend Josh Marquis, big parts of that band, obviously.
- 15:42A a great, great lineup of music, but also bringing in something that nobody's ever seen.
- 15:48And I think sometimes with these local events, that can be something that lacks a little bit.
- 15:53Right?
- 15:54As you often don't have budgets to go out and to seek someone, you know, that may cost a
- 15:59little bit more, but can bring something that nobody in town has ever seen.
- 16:03It's not just, oh, we're going to see so and so's band that we've seen.
- 16:06You know, I've seen Brandon.
- 16:07I can't remember how many dozens of times, and I love it.
- 16:10But we also wanna experience something new.
- 16:13And I think this is a great shift from celebrating the old, celebrating the heritage
- 16:17and the local nature, but also the fact that everyone in the world should love to come up to
- 16:22lead and spend an evening on top of the mountain.
- 16:25Mhmm.
- 16:26Yeah.
- 16:27And that brings us to the big one now, Robin.
- 16:30July fourth, Saturday this year, the timing couldn't be more perfect.
- 16:36Not only is it the hundredth celebration of the Jubilee and the hundred and fiftieth of the
- 16:40city of Leed, but it's also America's two hundred and fiftieth, birthday.
- 16:45So tell me about all the activities going on on Saturday, July 4.
- 16:50Yeah.
- 16:50Saturday is also gonna be a fabulous day.
- 16:54You know, we do, like you said, we have historically had this this Jubilee days.
- 17:00And so Saturday really takes it back to the roots and does all the things that we've always
- 17:05done.
- 17:05So we have, you know, a pancake feed that's hosted by the rod and gun club where people can
- 17:10go down and get pancakes, and then you can head over and partake in the horseshoe tournament.
- 17:16We got have some great horseshoe pits down at our park.
- 17:19They're also gonna have a golf chipping contest that you can golf chip into the open cut at
- 17:259AM.
- 17:28The Lee Deadwood School District is having an all school reunion this weekend as well, and so
- 17:34their day to get everyone together is Friday or sorry, Saturday, the fourth as well.
- 17:40So they're having a a breakfast for any people that alumni that are in town that register for
- 17:46the all school reunion, and that'll be up at the school.
- 17:50They're gonna do some school tours.
- 17:52You know, our elementary school has been remodeled, and some other things have happened
- 17:56on the school campus.
- 17:57So the school's gonna be hosting some tours.
- 18:00And then at 09:30, they're gonna have, the Live Like Cash Productions is hosting a skate,
- 18:08scoot, bike competition at the awesome skate park that we have here at Manuel Brothers Park,
- 18:14and this is a huge hit.
- 18:16It's just it's grown.
- 18:17There are so many kiddos and adults.
- 18:20It's just really great to get that whole side of the community together as well.
- 18:24And so registration from that's from 09:30 till eleven, and then the event starts at eleven.
- 18:30They're gonna have some vendors down there.
- 18:32They have a emcee, and then they have a skate scoop bike competition.
- 18:36So it's to all ages and scooters, bikes, skateboards, and they give away door prizes.
- 18:43They have judges that judge everybody, and then those, participants get awards.
- 18:49So that's super cool.
- 18:51Even if you don't skate scooter bike, you can come down and watch because it's awesome to see
- 18:56that.
- 18:56And our skate park is pretty cool.
- 18:58It's got a big old bowl in it that that a lot of people won't venture into.
- 19:02But for this event, there will definitely be some big tricks happening.
- 19:06So that's super awesome.
- 19:08Kind of at the same time, at 10:00, we have a Mile High SmackDown volleyball tournament where
- 19:14we have we bring in all the old rivalries back in, and people can, get into that volleyball
- 19:20tournament that'll kinda run all day throughout the day.
- 19:24They're gonna start with some band down at the park too at noon.
- 19:28So there's music on and off from noon until the fireworks.
- 19:33And so that schedule is noon to two is Garrett Holtz, and 02:30 to 04:30 is the Buckskin Cult
- 19:40Trio.
- 19:41And then 05:30 to 07:30 is Unsinkable Rose.
- 19:4608:15 to ten is the eleventh.
- 19:49And then, also, the Northern Hills Community Band, who is this historical band that's been
- 19:56practicing, that's been around, that does multiple concerts throughout the year, they
- 20:01play from eight to nine in front of the Davis Ring, which is a super cool monumental, exhibit
- 20:07that's kinda down by the open cut.
- 20:10So we'll have that band play as well.
- 20:13There's bounce houses for kids.
- 20:15There's vendors.
- 20:16There's all kinds of stuff.
- 20:18It's just like everybody goes to the park, and you see everybody, and it's just about
- 20:22community and hanging out.
- 20:25And then the fireworks show are at 09:30, and this is gonna be the biggest fireworks show
- 20:31that we've had.
- 20:31The chamber has done a great job.
- 20:34They went and kinda asked around the city of Deadwood, pitched in some funds.
- 20:38The city of Lee pitched in some funds because we want this show to be the biggest and the
- 20:43best fireworks show that we've had.
- 20:45So it's gonna be awesome.
- 20:47Well, I will encourage everyone to show up early.
- 20:50Obviously, Garrett Holt used to play with starts and ends.
- 20:53Molly Brown, the unsinkable rose.
- 20:55So many great friends.
- 20:57I mean, I love this small town.
- 20:59Our community is so vibrant.
- 21:01I also saw on there, you're definitely gonna wanna be there at noon on the fourth for the b
- 21:05one flyover because that's gonna be super cool.
- 21:08So don't miss that.
- 21:09If you love big planes and loud noises, it doesn't get any better than a b one flyover.
- 21:16Yep.
- 21:16Yep.
- 21:17The same planes that flew over the Super Bowl possibly.
- 21:19I I know that the Super Bowl, had our wing from Ellsworth Air Force Base and Vaux Elder
- 21:24Flyover.
- 21:25So there you go.
- 21:26Little tie in.
- 21:27You can be to the Super Bowl or you can just come to lead.
- 21:30It's it's up to you.
- 21:31Yeah.
- 21:33We also got some baseball stuff going on during the weekend.
- 21:36I don't know if we we might have skipped over that.
- 21:38Now you have multiple games.
- 21:39You guys have put together some stuff there.
- 21:41So, I don't know if we need to go back or if that's just on Sunday.
- 21:45It's well, it's just on Sunday, like, during this fourth of July thing that we have going
- 21:50on.
- 21:50And so on Sunday, we at 10:00, we are having this vintage baseball game.
- 21:57And so there's kind of been this rivalry between Lean and Deadwood over time.
- 22:02And it if you're not from here, it goes way back, and our schools combined, and some things
- 22:07have happened.
- 22:08And so we're bringing back the rivalry, and we have been having vintage baseball practice for,
- 22:14like, six months now.
- 22:16And it's community members, city leaders, people from both towns have created these lead
- 22:23in Deadwood teams.
- 22:24We have vintage baseball uniforms that were hand sewn by this lady that that's just her
- 22:29jam.
- 22:30She just
- 22:30They look incredible.
- 22:32So, yeah, shout out.
- 22:34Who who did them?
- 22:35I'd have to look.
- 22:36She's out of down south somewhere.
- 22:39And Okay.
- 22:40Yeah.
- 22:40It was it's pretty incredible.
- 22:43And so, actually, our first game there's two games.
- 22:47Our first game is gonna be this Sunday down in Deadwood at the football field, with flag day.
- 22:53It starts at 03:00.
- 22:55And then the second game is gonna be on Sunday, July 5, up at Mountaintop at 10AM.
- 23:01And so not only is it vintage baseball rules, so it's, like, 18 rules.
- 23:06We don't actually use, like, a real baseball glove.
- 23:09We use kind of, like, a padded leather glove because that's all they had back then.
- 23:13And so the rules are slightly a little bit different than they are now, but there's gonna
- 23:17be dead with a live actors kinda walking around, kinda talking smack to people.
- 23:22We're gonna have some little newsies selling newspapers.
- 23:25There's gonna be vendors.
- 23:27There's gonna be Dakota Shivers beer being sold.
- 23:31It's gonna be fabulous.
- 23:32And, hopefully, lead comes out on top.
- 23:36Both games.
- 23:37Go lead.
- 23:39So, anyway, so then we have the baseball game.
- 23:41That gets over at noon.
- 23:42And then, actually, July 5 nationwide, like you were talking about, Bubba, with America two
- 23:48fifty, July 5 is community picnic day across The United States.
- 23:52And so we're having a huge picnic up at Mountaintop.
- 23:55The fire department's gonna be up there.
- 23:57They're gonna be grilling for everybody.
- 23:59And then we're asking people to bring a side, come up, share your share your side dish, and
- 24:05just hang out with everybody.
- 24:07It's kind of like the wrap up day of these whole celebrations.
- 24:11And then at 2PM, kind of the grand finale event of all of this is Nina McIntyre is hosting the
- 24:19echoes of lead, and this is gonna be she has been collecting historical photos from
- 24:26community members, from the school, from the fast bender photo collection, from Deadwood
- 24:31history, and she has put together this beautiful PowerPoint.
- 24:35It's so emotional, and it's so historical.
- 24:39And it has the culture, and it has families, and it has sporting events.
- 24:42It has it has encaptured the whole history of lead.
- 24:47And at the same time, she plays the piano to this beautiful PowerPoint that is gonna be
- 24:53playing, and it's a it's gonna be a once in a lifetime show.
- 24:57And so she is fabulous, and she's been working on this for quite a while.
- 25:02This is gonna be at the auditorium up at Mountaintop, so people are up at the school.
- 25:07So they can go from Mountaintop right to the high school auditorium.
- 25:11The event starts at two.
- 25:12It's free to charge.
- 25:14And there's so many pictures in there, and it's just gonna be a whole historical recap of the
- 25:21city of Laid, of the community.
- 25:23And at the end of that, we are gonna go over all the different things that are gonna be in
- 25:28the time capsule that we're gonna bury later on this year to be opened in fifty years at the
- 25:34city's two hundredth anniversary in 2076 that's gonna have some super cool stuff in it.
- 25:41We've been collecting all kinds of things.
- 25:43Like, we took a city of lead staff photo, and we have we're gonna have a program from the
- 25:49baseball game, and we're gonna have stuff from the July 4 and Fermilab and the experiments
- 25:54happening underground and this whole list of awesome stuff we have going on right now that's
- 25:59gonna go in the time capsule, the kids, drawings, and to be opened in fifty years.
- 26:05So The kids are gonna open it up and look at the baseball photos and be like, nothing's
- 26:10changed.
