- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with on our radio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous podcast. Today is
- 0:08Speaker 2: one of Ben's Ben and My Q and A sessions.
- 0:12Speaker 2: We love these. You guys send in your questions and
- 0:15Speaker 2: we answer them today. We have your names and your city,
- 0:18Speaker 2: so it feels like a real radio show and I
- 0:20Speaker 2: love it. So we're gonna start with one from Cassie
- 0:23Speaker 2: from Denver. Ben, what's more nerve wracking handing out your
- 0:28Speaker 2: first rose on national TV or sending a risky text
- 0:32Speaker 2: without a follow up plan?
- 0:35Speaker 1: Oh this feels a little personal.
- 0:40Speaker 2: No, we love it. Have you ever sent to risky plan?
- 0:43Speaker 2: Risky text? Because you know, we know that your wife,
- 0:47Speaker 2: she was a virgin before you guys got married, so
- 0:49Speaker 2: I feel like there weren't a lot of risky texts
- 0:51Speaker 2: during that period of your life. But maybe yeah.
- 0:53Speaker 1: But this like being from Denver and being somebody asking
- 0:56Speaker 1: like I'm like this is this like a flirtatious It
- 1:00Speaker 1: was just like is this coming back eleven years ago?
- 1:02Speaker 1: And they're like, finally I get to ask this question
- 1:04Speaker 1: of why he never texted me?
- 1:06Speaker 2: Yes, he totally gave her your number post Lauren breakup.
- 1:10Speaker 2: This happened during that ben era.
- 1:13Speaker 1: That's what I'm worried about. I'm not getting red and
- 1:15Speaker 1: hot right now, Like I don't like this.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Wait, this is resonating with you as if it could be.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Do you know a Cassie?
- 1:22Speaker 1: No? I don't, but yeah, what's more nerve wracking? It's
- 1:28Speaker 1: had a follow up plan? Goodness? I would say probably
- 1:33Speaker 1: the national television moment. I mean, I don't know what
- 1:37Speaker 1: exactly risky text means without a follow up plan.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, either what's your fallow? I always have
- 1:43Speaker 2: a follow up plan. I think text because I got
- 1:46Speaker 2: the follow up.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Maybe my follow up plan is not to respond back
- 1:49Speaker 1: to you, but yeah, I mean being on national television
- 1:53Speaker 1: passing out roses definitely more nerve wracking. All right, moving on, Ashley,
- 1:58Speaker 1: how many crying memes yourself have you seen? And which
- 2:02Speaker 1: one is your favorite?
- 2:03Speaker 2: Okay, well that question is from Jordan P and Tampa,
- 2:07Speaker 2: and I will admit I have this app my phone.
- 2:11Speaker 2: It's called Gift Wrapped. I don't know if that's a
- 2:13Speaker 2: really old GIF app, but that's the one that I use,
- 2:17Speaker 2: and I have mine all. I have some of my
- 2:21Speaker 2: favorite memes saved or gifts and gifts. I've got some
- 2:26Speaker 2: of Hannah Brown roaring. I have one of dos of
- 2:30Speaker 2: Jared saying to Rob Thomas, Rob Thomas, Rob Thomas. And
- 2:34Speaker 2: then I have a ton of myself that sometimes I'll
- 2:39Speaker 2: send to people if it's the right person and they'll
- 2:41Speaker 2: know that I'm not too self obsessed. But I have
- 2:45Speaker 2: I man don't one My favorite one, My favorite one
- 2:49Speaker 2: is probably not of me crying but giving this this
- 2:57Speaker 2: this round. It's like a big carousel of my confused
- 3:03Speaker 2: face during Women Tell All. So if you type in
- 3:05Speaker 2: Ashley I women Tell All, that might come up. Ben.
- 3:10Speaker 2: I'm assuming that you don't have any of your gifts saved.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I don't have any of my gifts saved. But there
- 3:15Speaker 1: has been a like moments where I've looked him up
- 3:18Speaker 1: and they're hilarious, and there's some good ones. There's one
- 3:21Speaker 1: where I looked at looked absolutely jacked. And so sometimes
- 3:25Speaker 1: when my friends are making fun of me on Syndic
- 3:27Speaker 1: just because I look.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Good, awesome, there's this one of me that says, this
- 3:32Speaker 2: is stupid. Why am I crying again? That's good. Then
- 3:35Speaker 2: there's one that says he's so hot. I think that
- 3:38Speaker 2: my eyes were made to look at him. Another one
- 3:41Speaker 2: that says, how am I supposed to find another you? Yeah?
- 3:45Speaker 2: And then then this is great. I'm gonna end with
- 3:47Speaker 2: this one. Are you sure you don't want to be
- 3:49Speaker 2: with me? Ever?
- 3:52Speaker 1: I feel like this question really just went like this
- 3:54Speaker 1: actually could take a whole episode and just go through
- 3:57Speaker 1: these and just laugh.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Some good lines.
- 4:00Speaker 1: You have some good lines. You're you're a funny g goal, Ashley.
- 4:05Speaker 1: If you had to swap lives with a Bachelor National
- 4:08Speaker 1: love for a day, who are you choosing? And what's
- 4:11Speaker 1: the first thing you'd do?
- 4:13Speaker 2: I saw this from somebody, and I saw this from
- 4:17Speaker 2: Trent from Cel and I was like, you know what,
- 4:20Speaker 2: I'm really not sure. I'm not sure. Do I get
- 4:23Speaker 2: to be in their body? Was the question?
- 4:25Speaker 1: Yeah, you're switching lives with them.
- 4:27Speaker 2: I can be in Kelsey Anderson's body with her face
- 4:30Speaker 2: for a day.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Oh well, if it's like a physical thing that.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I like to be Kelsey didn't she just get Didn't
- 4:37Speaker 1: she just say she got a Brazilian butt lift or something?
- 4:40Speaker 2: She did not she got like veneers though? Oh a
- 4:44Speaker 2: big difference.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I was thinking, like if it was just switching lives
- 4:49Speaker 2: like I had to go. It was like wife swap
- 4:51Speaker 2: the old show, and I had to go live in
- 4:53Speaker 2: somebody's house for a day. I thought that maybe it
- 4:55Speaker 2: would be interesting to go live in Emily Maynard's house
- 4:58Speaker 2: and she has like six seven kids. And then I'd
- 5:02Speaker 2: be like, Wow, this is what it feels like to
- 5:03Speaker 2: have six or seven kids, And now this is what
- 5:05Speaker 2: it feels like to leave that house.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Yeah, you're in such a mom mode. Like your idea
- 5:10Speaker 1: of a swap would be to take on more responsibility.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and then to realize that I have it pretty easy.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Oh okay, So it's justifying the life that you have.
- 5:21Speaker 2: It's just just to find a life. Just to appreciate
- 5:24Speaker 2: my life. I appreciate my life every day, every day.
- 5:27Speaker 2: I'm so grateful. And there's no sarcasm here. I still
- 5:31Speaker 2: am mind blown how this all came to be. All right,
- 5:35Speaker 2: next question you didn't answer, you get to answer this one.
- 5:38Speaker 1: To answer both of them.
- 5:39Speaker 2: I would like you to, because that doesn't say Ashley
- 5:41Speaker 2: or Ben, it just says if you.
- 5:44Speaker 1: If I goodness, gracious, there's there's so many people I'm
- 5:49Speaker 1: envious of that come to mind. I think for me,
- 5:56Speaker 1: I would take it to like an extreme of Hey,
- 5:59Speaker 1: let me take a step back act and maybe have
- 6:03Speaker 1: like less responsibilities. And when I think as somebody that
- 6:08Speaker 1: has like less responsibilities and has a lot of fun,
- 6:12Speaker 1: you know what, Like you said Kelsey, I might say Joey,
- 6:15Speaker 1: not that he doesn't have responsibilities.
- 6:16Speaker 2: We'll be together for a day, man.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah that why not? We're together so often? Not
- 6:24Speaker 1: because he doesn't have any responsibilities, but he's kind of
- 6:26Speaker 1: in that like Prime season where he's just having a
- 6:28Speaker 1: lot of fun. He's enjoying it. But if we talk
- 6:32Speaker 1: all Bachelor National lums, I'm going Chris Harrison because that
- 6:35Speaker 1: dude is living the dream right now. I mean he
- 6:38Speaker 1: gets to golf, he gets to play in cool events,
- 6:41Speaker 1: he gets to live in Austin, and you know, he
- 6:45Speaker 1: doesn't have to exactly worry about money. He's so talented.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I would just love to be Chris Harrison for a
- 6:52Speaker 1: day or Jesse Palmer. I think they're both just crushing it.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Yeah that's actually a really good answer.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Yeah, like them both and they're both handsome and they're
- 7:02Speaker 1: both doing cool things. Okay, what would a typical Bachelor
- 7:06Speaker 1: date look like? It look like if it was produced
- 7:09Speaker 1: on a target budget, Well, I think we saw that
- 7:11Speaker 1: last season.
- 7:14Speaker 2: So I was gonna say, I'm like a target guys,
- 7:18Speaker 2: that's not a Walmart budget or a dollar treet budget.
- 7:21Speaker 1: I mean they did go to the mall after hours
- 7:24Speaker 1: and bounce on some balls. That seems to be expensive.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yeah, the target budget is definitely what I think you
- 7:33Speaker 2: kind of saw last year. I would also say that
- 7:36Speaker 2: if if you look at Hometown Week, that's kind of
- 7:40Speaker 2: a target budget, that's what the show would look like.
- 7:42Speaker 2: You know, you'd be going to parks and taking lots
- 7:44Speaker 2: of walks and going to like the nearby bar.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, I also think a lot of their
- 7:49Speaker 1: dates are not super expensive, meaning you know, I had
- 7:53Speaker 1: a date at a vineyard that's not like super pricey. Now,
- 7:56Speaker 1: we did helicopter in which saved us time and effort money,
- 8:00Speaker 1: time and effort, not money, you know, but that's like
- 8:03Speaker 1: a normal everyday date, and I thought those dates were
- 8:05Speaker 1: the best dates, and even some of the group dates.
- 8:08Speaker 1: When you do a sporting.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Event, it's like on a college field.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Well yeah, but if they're not renting out the coliseum,
- 8:15Speaker 1: then they can do this in a random park and
- 8:17Speaker 1: it's like cheap. So I'd say stuff like that, and
- 8:21Speaker 1: like Ashley said, a lot of the hometown dates are
- 8:23Speaker 1: very much in line with that. If you look at
- 8:27Speaker 1: the season, typically there's only a few, like magnificent dates
- 8:32Speaker 1: that are unattainable. There's a lot of unattainable moments, but
- 8:36Speaker 1: the core parts of the date, you'd be like, we
- 8:39Speaker 1: could do this. We could go to dinner and go
- 8:41Speaker 1: watch a concert. Now that concert might not be a
- 8:43Speaker 1: private show. We could watch a concert.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it could be edited down to be pretty normal
- 8:50Speaker 2: and that not too expensive. Hey, Ben, this next question,
- 9:04Speaker 2: I love it. We're gonna have you answer first. This
- 9:08Speaker 2: is from Kevin in Brooklyn. He says, what Bachelor Nation
- 9:11Speaker 2: conspiracy theory do you believe might be true? Oh?
- 9:18Speaker 1: Can you give me some examples of conspiracy theories and
- 9:20Speaker 1: Bachelor Nation?
- 9:22Speaker 2: Well, I only have two. One I probably shouldn't say.
- 9:28Speaker 1: No, you should say it.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Well, no, we should all just we should all just
- 9:31Speaker 2: look into Kelsey Pee a little further.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Is she still alive?
- 9:36Speaker 2: Yeah, she's alive. She lives in France. I know she's
- 9:38Speaker 2: not listening to this podcast. Okay, this one's mine. Then
- 9:42Speaker 2: if you don't have one off the top of your head,
- 9:44Speaker 2: I don't because I would yeah, because this is the
- 9:46Speaker 2: only one I could think of right now. But I
- 9:50Speaker 2: think that Claire was didn't I think that Claire didn't
- 9:56Speaker 2: want to leave with what his name Dale? Dale. I
- 10:02Speaker 2: think she didn't want to leave the process early.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Oh so she was like forced out. Yeah, that makes sense.
- 10:10Speaker 1: That's a good one.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Uh.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I mean like when I think of like the stories
- 10:14Speaker 1: I've heard from behind the scenes, it's like a producer
- 10:16Speaker 1: sleeping with a cast member, but like that's on a
- 10:17Speaker 1: conspiracy that was true. The guy that broke his leg
- 10:20Speaker 1: jumping out the window or something, Well.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Yeah that was the was that the first Paradise?
- 10:24Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, like so I don't know
- 10:27Speaker 1: many conspiracies as much as I just know wild stories
- 10:32Speaker 1: from behind the scenes that are true.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Yeah, well, can you give us one of those that.
- 10:40Speaker 1: That one is the one, like, that's the one that
- 10:41Speaker 1: comes to mind.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Well, we'll remember this question and we'll let you guys know.
- 10:45Speaker 1: I'm trying to think of like the Unreal show and
- 10:48Speaker 1: like what about that wasn't like what were they talking
- 10:50Speaker 1: about on that?
- 10:51Speaker 2: The craziest thing from Unreal was that they took the
- 10:54Speaker 2: girl's antidepressants away from her and then she ended up
- 10:58Speaker 2: killing herself, and it's like, yeah, that doesn't happen.
- 11:01Speaker 1: No, that's that's to the extreme, like that stuff doesn't
- 11:04Speaker 1: happen at all. Ever. Yeah, there's not a lot that
- 11:08Speaker 1: comes to mind there. I mean, I think most of
- 11:09Speaker 1: batter nation would know the stories that would stand out. Ashley.
- 11:12Speaker 1: If someone gave you one hundred dollars for every time
- 11:14Speaker 1: you cried on the Bachelor, how much, Richard, do you
- 11:17Speaker 1: think you'd be You're gonna lowball this.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Oh, I said a couple thousand. You think it's ten thousand.
- 11:25Speaker 1: I don't think you cried a hundred times.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I don't think I cried a hundred times. No, but
- 11:28Speaker 2: I did have four seasons. But I would say I
- 11:33Speaker 2: would estimate forty times. Wow, four thousand dollars forty times
- 11:42Speaker 2: over four seasons. I think that's like appropriate.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Yeah, you think that's like the normal? Are you like
- 11:49Speaker 1: justifying it and saying no, that's not that's not weird
- 11:51Speaker 1: crazy to me? Yeah, there's ten episodes. There's eight episodes
- 11:55Speaker 1: per season. Ten episodes per season.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, maybe it's five thousand. Okay, Ben, if
- 12:04Speaker 2: you if you what's the this is interesting? Okay, this
- 12:10Speaker 2: is to you, this is directed to you. What's the
- 12:12Speaker 2: weirdest DM you've ever gotten from a fan?
- 12:14Speaker 1: The weirdest I mean, I was like, there's weird things
- 12:17Speaker 1: that are sent to you, Like, I mean, I think
- 12:20Speaker 1: every Bachelor Nation person probably has had like naked pictures
- 12:23Speaker 1: sent to them, Like that just happened. A yeah, but
- 12:28Speaker 1: like I'm sure if you asked Jared, like he's opened
- 12:30Speaker 1: up his messages at some point been like whoa, Like
- 12:32Speaker 1: that's seems like risque and vulnerable. Maybe that's what they
- 12:36Speaker 1: meant by the first one. So that feels like out
- 12:39Speaker 1: like outlandishly crazy. I had somebody DM me and tell
- 12:44Speaker 1: me that. I was like, they're so excited to meet
- 12:46Speaker 1: me in an airport that I was not flying to,
- 12:50Speaker 1: and that like I don't know if they said God
- 12:53Speaker 1: or somebody had told them that they I was meeting
- 12:55Speaker 1: them there and that we were going to have a
- 12:57Speaker 1: future together. Oh yeah, I never went.
- 13:02Speaker 2: They wanted you to meet you at an airport.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Like they said I was going to like that they
- 13:06Speaker 1: had gotten a message from.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Him, Okay, so they like stop premonition.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Yeah, so they're like driving to the airport and that
- 13:11Speaker 1: they were gonna pick me up.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Okay, that's that's memorable. That's a good answer.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Yeah I didn't. I Yeah, I didn't. I didn't make it.
- 13:19Speaker 1: The Bachelor Nation had a Hunger Game style survival match.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Who's making to the final three and who's the first
- 13:25Speaker 1: to go?
- 13:27Speaker 2: Okay, I've thought about this.
- 13:28Speaker 1: This is from Eliza in Portland.
- 13:29Speaker 2: By the way, I'm thinking, I think that Jared would
- 13:33Speaker 2: get really far. And I'm about just saying that because
- 13:36Speaker 2: I'm his wife. He's a really insanely competitive and he's strong,
- 13:41Speaker 2: and he's he's in good shape. Yeah, but he like
- 13:45Speaker 2: would know how to play that game, and then he'd
- 13:49Speaker 2: have a serious depression afterward. But he'd have to win though,
- 13:54Speaker 2: And then I think Nick would do really well because
- 13:58Speaker 2: Nick also like to win. And then I think Hannah
- 14:03Speaker 2: Brown just Nick and Hannah both kind of all most
- 14:07Speaker 2: did this through special forces.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I could see that. That makes sense. Who's the
- 14:12Speaker 1: first to go? Oh?
- 14:14Speaker 2: Me, No, I'm kidding. The twins, Emily Aley, they would
- 14:21Speaker 2: both be like, take us now, we're good, goodbye world.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Would you rank who's your three?
- 14:30Speaker 1: I mean, I think you. I would agree with you,
- 14:32Speaker 1: but not to like repeat it. I would add on
- 14:34Speaker 1: I think Dean has some survival skills that are very
- 14:39Speaker 1: useful in these situations. But with Dean kill, Yeah, Dean
- 14:44Speaker 1: would just kind of like be a passive. He's a pacifist. Pacifist.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I think Gabby's showing us some resilience with her one
- 14:51Speaker 1: on traders. We got to give her credit for that. Yeah,
- 14:55Speaker 1: and then honestly, like we have some like we have
- 14:59Speaker 1: some real strong individuals and Bachelor Nation that are like
- 15:04Speaker 1: I don't want to count out, like Jordan Rodgers. I mean,
- 15:09Speaker 1: the dude is a Division one athlete who stays in shape,
- 15:13Speaker 1: who I obviously is competitive. I think somebody like that
- 15:16Speaker 1: could sneak up at the end of this and really
- 15:18Speaker 1: make some noise.
- 15:20Speaker 2: That's a good answer.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you, I appreciate it. Which moment from your
- 15:25Speaker 1: season do you wish got edited out completely? This is
- 15:27Speaker 1: Dylan from Miami.
- 15:29Speaker 2: For me, it's it's making out with crystals on the balcony.
- 15:37Speaker 2: It was like our third kiss. It was like week
- 15:40Speaker 2: three and I looked back and I was just attacking him.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Just was not a sexy kiss, and it was like
- 15:46Speaker 2: in the middle of me like blubbering and crying, and
- 15:48Speaker 2: I'd be like, Okay, we can make up five minutes later.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Ben, do you want it to be? Okay? Be honest,
- 15:56Speaker 1: when you're kissing Chris on TV? How much in the
- 15:59Speaker 1: back of your mind and were you thinking is this
- 16:01Speaker 1: gonna look sexy or not?
- 16:02Speaker 2: I was convinced the first time when I said, oh
- 16:05Speaker 2: my god, I can't believe I took this advice from Todd. Todd,
- 16:08Speaker 2: I'm calling you out. He I thought it was hilarious,
- 16:11Speaker 2: and you know what, yeah, I could call it Todd
- 16:15Speaker 2: now he doesn't work there anymore. He was like, you
- 16:19Speaker 2: should tell Chris to rub your belly button ring because
- 16:23Speaker 2: I had a a Genie. I had a Genie lamp.
- 16:27Speaker 2: It was Aladdin and it was the Aladdin button.
- 16:32Speaker 1: This isn't going to be good no matter what, okay.
- 16:35Speaker 2: And then he was like, you should point that out
- 16:37Speaker 2: to Chris and then say he gets three wishes on
- 16:40Speaker 2: your belly button ring lamp. And then I did. Then
- 16:45Speaker 2: it's hilarious because like that is some stupid hilarious and
- 16:50Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, let's do it. And then he
- 16:51Speaker 2: wished that we that he could kiss me. That was
- 16:54Speaker 2: the first time and I was convinced that was gonna
- 16:56Speaker 2: be sexiest on TV and it was fine, that was fine,
- 17:00Speaker 2: it was okay, And then the second it was the
- 17:03Speaker 2: one on the balcony that I was like, what in
- 17:06Speaker 2: the what are you doing?
- 17:09Speaker 1: Yeah, Ashley, I love that you said yes to Todd.
- 17:12Speaker 1: In that moment, You're like this that doesn't make so
- 17:14Speaker 1: much sense, like make him rub my belly button.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Goodness, gracious, that was the most Todd idea ever. And
- 17:23Speaker 2: this is why I got in trouble too much, because
- 17:25Speaker 2: Todd and I got along too well.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Yeah, it sounds like he was really looking out for you.
- 17:29Speaker 1: You guys were great friends.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Hey he Gary, if he's his part in my life
- 17:35Speaker 2: is big h Yeah. Okay, So what do you wish?
- 17:41Speaker 2: Did it make air?
