- 0:56Speaker 4: We've got Matt McMahon, LSU had basketball coach at nine
- 1:01Speaker 4: what an hour before we get to Deer Delandra, which, yes,
- 1:05Speaker 4: we have to have it. It's something that has to happen.
- 1:10Speaker 5: We do. We do need closure and today's the perfect
- 1:13Speaker 5: day for that closure.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Before we get there, we do want to remind you
- 1:15Speaker 4: of our friends over at the Maruchi's Hitters House. They've
- 1:19Speaker 4: got the warehouse cell going on right now and with
- 1:21Speaker 4: the holidays coming up, if you're anything like me, I mean,
- 1:24Speaker 4: it is going to be a big part of your
- 1:26Speaker 4: holiday season, certainly with the kiddos, because well, you've got
- 1:31Speaker 4: the season about to start. Spring practice is about to
- 1:33Speaker 4: start here in January, so you've got to be ready
- 1:36Speaker 4: for your season and that Baton Rouge warehouse sell. It
- 1:39Speaker 4: goes on all the way up until December the fourteenth,
- 1:41Speaker 4: right there at the Marucci headquarters right off Siegen. It's
- 1:44Speaker 4: Monday through Friday, eleven to six, Saturday ten to five,
- 1:46Speaker 4: Sunday eleven to four. Remember you've got the New Orleans
- 1:50Speaker 4: CeAl that is going to be December fifth and six,
- 1:52Speaker 4: So that's coming up starting tomorrow Friday from three to
- 1:55Speaker 4: eight Saturday ten to four. Also, don't miss out on
- 1:58Speaker 4: the gift card bonuses. Okay, spend five hundred dollars, you
- 2:00Speaker 4: get one hundred dollars gift card. You spend too fifty,
- 2:03Speaker 4: you get fifty dollars. Swinging a savings at the Hitter's
- 2:06Speaker 4: House warehouse sale is the best time of year to
- 2:08Speaker 4: gear up, all right, Anyone toss it to Alandra because
- 2:14Speaker 4: it is now time to get an update and Elanda
- 2:17Speaker 4: just kind of reset the scene, if you will, with
- 2:21Speaker 4: what we were going through for a couple of weeks
- 2:23Speaker 4: there with dear Delandra. We had one of our loyal
- 2:25Speaker 4: listeners was really in a quite the pickle.
- 2:28Speaker 6: Yeah, he was in a pickle. I just I have
- 2:30Speaker 6: to play the sound real quick though, just because it's incredible.
- 2:35Speaker 7: The Landra.
- 2:39Speaker 6: I feel so blessed that to create great voices. Yeah,
- 2:43Speaker 6: you should got to do that for me. But so
- 2:47Speaker 6: if y'all don't remember, we used to do Dear Delandra,
- 2:51Speaker 6: like back in the summer, and one of our listeners
- 2:55Speaker 6: he sent one in where he was dropping his kid
- 2:58Speaker 6: off at either pre care in her garden.
- 3:00Speaker 5: I'll remember it.
- 3:02Speaker 6: And turns out one of the assistant teachers he had
- 3:05Speaker 6: almost gotten engaged to, so they were together a very
- 3:08Speaker 6: serious relationship to the point to where they were almost
- 3:11Speaker 6: gonna get married. And he just basically was like, do
- 3:15Speaker 6: we do I tell my wife that that's somebody almost
- 3:18Speaker 6: got married to or almost proposed to, or do I
- 3:21Speaker 6: just keep it a secret? And we're like, no, well
- 3:25Speaker 6: the three of us, Yeah, be honest with her. You
- 3:28Speaker 6: gotta tell her. And Taylor's like, no, lie, deny, deny, deny.
- 3:32Speaker 6: He's like just lied to her. Yeah, take it to
- 3:35Speaker 6: the grave. And then for the longest time we didn't
- 3:38Speaker 6: know what ended up happening with our listener. And the
- 3:44Speaker 6: pre k is a pre K teacher, so he messaged
- 3:46Speaker 6: me and he let he gave me an update. So
- 3:49Speaker 6: a few weeks ago, this is from him, by the way,
- 3:52Speaker 6: so I'm not saying this but like because it's gonna
- 3:54Speaker 6: be like in first person. Uh So, a few weeks ago,
- 3:57Speaker 6: my wife and I were driving home from school pick
- 3:59Speaker 6: up and my wife randomly asked me if Miss pre
- 4:02Speaker 6: K had ever mentioned our past. I got super nervous
- 4:05Speaker 6: and mine started racing, but I was honest and just
- 4:07Speaker 6: said no. Then my wife said, when she got the
- 4:10Speaker 6: email from the school over the summer with the teachers listed,
- 4:13Speaker 6: she saw the pre K teacher's name and just started laughing.
- 4:16Speaker 6: That left me more confused because I couldn't figure out
- 4:18Speaker 6: how she knew who Miss pre K was back during
- 4:22Speaker 6: the summer before we even Miss pre K, before we
- 4:25Speaker 6: even saw her at school. I didn't want to ask,
- 4:27Speaker 6: how do you know about her? Because that sounds so bad,
- 4:30Speaker 6: so I worded it a little bit better and asked,
- 4:33Speaker 6: how long ago did I tell you about that relationship?
- 4:37Speaker 6: Long story short, apparently I told my wife years ago
- 4:40Speaker 6: about Miss pre K, and I completely forgot that I did. So, yes,
- 4:43Speaker 6: I was stressing now over.
- 4:48Speaker 7: I didn't even know.
- 4:51Speaker 6: Unintentionally, but he did forgot that he did it, But
- 4:55Speaker 6: he did it.
- 4:56Speaker 7: Yeah, Taylor is like ah, he should have denying.
- 5:01Speaker 8: I mean he still kind of did. I guess he
- 5:04Speaker 8: didn't get in trouble either way. I mean he came
- 5:06Speaker 8: out on time.
- 5:07Speaker 6: I do love that he like reworded it.
- 5:09Speaker 7: I ask you about that, right you remember maybe your
- 5:15Speaker 7: wife is just a loyal listener and that's how she
- 5:17Speaker 7: found out.
- 5:17Speaker 6: Maybe. I do love that he was calling her miss
- 5:21Speaker 6: pre K, miss pre K. That really gives Delilah, like
- 5:25Speaker 6: giving somebody a little moniker.
- 5:29Speaker 7: Well, I'm happy that it all worked out. There was
- 5:33Speaker 7: no breakup situation. That's kind of been the theme of
- 5:37Speaker 7: the day in the breakups. So I'm glad that there's
- 5:40Speaker 7: some resolution there. Honestly, always wins. People don't take Taylor's
- 5:45Speaker 7: advice bad advice, all right, all right, cool.
- 5:51Speaker 6: Whatever, That's why we do Dear Delandra, not Dear Taylor.
- 5:57Speaker 6: He's gonna tell her just lie.
- 6:00Speaker 7: I asked my buddy Jed GBT to write me like
- 6:04Speaker 7: like a SOB story as if I was an old
- 6:07Speaker 7: miss fan. Oh, and I was calling into the Delilah show.
- 6:11Speaker 5: Oh are you ready?
- 6:13Speaker 7: Yeah, dude, I do have it. It's like we didn't
- 6:14Speaker 7: prep for this, but I did want to read it though. Hey, Delilah,
- 6:17Speaker 7: this is Randy from Oxford. I'm calling to night because well,
- 6:21Speaker 7: Lane Kiffin left us, and I know folks say he
- 6:24Speaker 7: warned you or that's just lamee, But Delilah, he told
- 6:27Speaker 7: us he loved it here. He said we were family,
- 6:30Speaker 7: not family. And then one morning I wake up, check
- 6:34Speaker 7: my phone and there he is, smiling in another school's colors,
- 6:37Speaker 7: like we never meant a thing. Then it tells me
- 6:40Speaker 7: to like make my voice small and shaky breath here, Delilah,
- 6:45Speaker 7: are we arranged my whole emotional calendar around that man?
- 6:48Speaker 7: No get into character, rearranged my whole emotional calendar around
- 6:53Speaker 7: that man. About visors. I defended every fourth down decision
- 6:57Speaker 7: like it was scripture. And now now I feel like
- 7:00Speaker 7: the man who got dumped by someone he never even dated.
- 7:05Speaker 7: Mm hmmm. So if you could play something for a
- 7:08Speaker 7: heart that believed too much in a coach who believed
- 7:11Speaker 7: in too little, I'd appreciate it. Hot Toddy, I guess
- 7:17Speaker 7: that's right's chat. It's not better word?
- 7:19Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 7:20Speaker 5: What uh? What song?
- 7:22Speaker 7: What song?
- 7:23Speaker 3: Like?
- 7:23Speaker 9: Immediately like I thought of like a cheat like cheated
- 7:27Speaker 9: on Crime River, But I thought about like getting cheated
- 7:31Speaker 9: on like Lane kind of you kind of cheated on
- 7:35Speaker 9: Ole Miss a little bit and then.
- 7:36Speaker 6: Left for the mistress. Oh no, there's a little dabbling.
- 7:41Speaker 8: Yeah, lips of an angel.
- 7:49Speaker 7: Talking to.
- 7:51Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 7:52Speaker 4: I was thinking Fixed You by Coldplay is a perfect one.
- 7:55Speaker 4: That's one when you try your best but you don't succeed.
- 7:58Speaker 4: What has old Miss been trying to do everything they
- 8:01Speaker 4: can to win the SEC?
- 8:04Speaker 5: Just haven't done it yet?
- 8:05Speaker 7: Are they in the SEC championship this year?
- 8:07Speaker 8: They're not okay?
- 8:08Speaker 7: So they steady making it. They're not okay. I think
- 8:11Speaker 7: Liz is Angel is a grateful.
- 8:13Speaker 6: It's the best song of all time.
- 8:15Speaker 8: It is a really good song, regardless of situation.
- 8:19Speaker 5: One hit wonder, I don't know.
- 8:24Speaker 7: Another gotta be, Yeah, gotta be. You're gonna go out, though,
- 8:28Speaker 7: make make make sure it's a hit HiT's true.
- 8:32Speaker 4: It's better being a no hit wonder. Somebody said everybody
- 8:38Speaker 4: hurts in the chat. Yeah, but we're not hurting.
- 8:39Speaker 7: We're good. Yeah, yeah, we're great. A lot of people
- 8:46Speaker 7: that just joined the show, you know, fifteen twenty minutes ago,
- 8:48Speaker 7: wondering if we're gonna talk sports again. Basically what we're doing.
- 8:52Speaker 6: I mean, we just did.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Tying the old miss fans to do a sad song.
- 8:59Speaker 4: How's that nuts? We're in the twelve hour Radio this week.
- 9:03Speaker 6: Yeah, and we're gonna have Matt mcmahonon later, and.
- 9:09Speaker 5: We just talked about Hinder. Find me another show that
- 9:12Speaker 5: will do that.
- 9:12Speaker 7: And we're about to talk to chef Michael Johnson who
- 9:15Speaker 7: cooks for people that play sports.
- 9:17Speaker 5: So jokes on whoever said.
- 9:22Speaker 7: That's good? I like this. How is my voice inflections
- 9:25Speaker 7: when I act like I'm.
- 9:26Speaker 5: Not very good?
- 9:26Speaker 7: It's not good.
- 9:29Speaker 4: It's the thing that you're really poor at. No, yeah,
- 9:33Speaker 4: it's acting for being a family of the theater.
- 9:36Speaker 6: Yeah, we put it.
- 9:37Speaker 7: You probably get a D minus. Oh yeah, guys, your
- 9:41Speaker 7: family members would be a shamed of you. It sounded
- 9:43Speaker 7: amazing to me when I was listening to me. It's
- 9:46Speaker 7: like I was. It's like I was hovering above myself
- 9:48Speaker 7: that I took a theater improv class, an acting improv
- 9:54Speaker 7: class in college. Not a big deal. Gotta be mine.
- 9:57Speaker 6: It's not a big deal.
- 9:58Speaker 4: You're right, some great song suggestions in the in the
- 10:05Speaker 4: Chad Jim Blossom's found out about you.
- 10:08Speaker 5: That's good.
- 10:11Speaker 6: Good job, George, so go South, the one who's the
- 10:16Speaker 6: listener that started all of this. Uh, what do we
- 10:19Speaker 6: think about my wife going three months of school before
- 10:22Speaker 6: bringing up miss pre K. I think she was trying
- 10:24Speaker 6: to see if you would say something first.
- 10:25Speaker 7: I think she was she was testing you, my guy. Yeah, yeah,
- 10:28Speaker 7: so you're trying to flip it a reversity. Good luck
- 10:30Speaker 7: with that.
- 10:30Speaker 4: I actually think you played a really good card, though,
- 10:33Speaker 4: was saying, like, when did I tell you about that?
- 10:35Speaker 4: I actually think that is a vet move. Yeah, I
- 10:39Speaker 4: wouldn't try it. You did, and it worked for you.
- 10:41Speaker 4: It sounds like it's elite. So good on you. I
- 10:45Speaker 4: think you're good. I think you're in the clear.
- 10:47Speaker 6: You think a girl doesn't know something she knows?
- 10:50Speaker 5: She knows well? I mean they all.
- 10:53Speaker 7: Yeah. Yeah, so you did good with how you played
- 10:57Speaker 7: the UNO card there. Don't push your luck by trying
- 11:00Speaker 7: to put it on your wife.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Yeah, don't do that.
- 11:03Speaker 7: I won't push your luck. Don't do that.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Sal was asking about any of the latest with Frank Wilson.
- 11:11Speaker 5: No, we have not.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Trust me when I say my refresher has been Blake Baker,
- 11:15Speaker 4: Corey Raymond, and Frank Wilson, and I just have three
- 11:18Speaker 4: pages open with all their names and social media and
- 11:21Speaker 4: I just hit refresh and refresh and refresh because.
- 11:25Speaker 8: I'm say, LSU just lost Dylan Peter Florida is a dB.
- 11:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:31Speaker 7: Yeah, it's always hard to go.
- 11:34Speaker 4: And it's always hard to tell when you have a
- 11:36Speaker 4: new staff, who is going elsewhere because the new staff
- 11:41Speaker 4: asked them to who is going somewhere different because there
- 11:44Speaker 4: is a new staff, It's always tough to tell. So
- 11:50Speaker 4: maybe this staff's like, yeah, you don't really jibe with
- 11:53Speaker 4: what we do defensively, and maybe it's the players like, look,
- 11:56Speaker 4: I don't know what you're gonna do, and so I'm
- 11:57Speaker 4: gonna go elsewhere. There's always a little bit the guessing
- 12:00Speaker 4: game when that happens. Now, some you can kind of
- 12:02Speaker 4: like it's pretty easy to say, Okay, yeah, this guy
- 12:05Speaker 4: he was asked to sign out.
- 12:06Speaker 7: Yeah, and this day in H two, you don't really
- 12:09Speaker 7: know who's saying I'll give you four under K and
- 12:10Speaker 7: the other people say I'll give you two under K.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Very true at the last minute at the finish line,
- 12:16Speaker 4: in the eleventh hour.
- 12:17Speaker 5: And I'll tell you what.
- 12:18Speaker 4: If you're a top prospect and you're making your decision
- 12:20Speaker 4: based off one hundred thousand dollars, let me just tell you,
- 12:23Speaker 4: in the scheme of thing and the scheme of the
- 12:24Speaker 4: money that's being thrown around, that is.
- 12:26Speaker 5: A foolish decision.
- 12:29Speaker 4: If you're the player that you think you are and
- 12:30Speaker 4: we think you can be, to say you'll make that
- 12:33Speaker 4: up on the other side is.
- 12:35Speaker 5: Pretty almost an absolute son.
- 12:37Speaker 7: Yeah. Now if you if you hold two colleges in
- 12:39Speaker 7: this in the same regard, but you think in your
- 12:42Speaker 7: head that's both equal, then yeah, one hundred thousand dollars. Yeah,
- 12:46Speaker 7: for sure, any amount of money ten thousand dollars, if
- 12:48Speaker 7: like anything, would tip the balances if things were equal.
- 12:52Speaker 7: But if you're dead set on like LSU and you're
- 12:55Speaker 7: from louis In he got all this opportunity like that,
- 12:57Speaker 7: like you said, then you really start having death to
- 13:00Speaker 7: weigh your financial options.
- 13:02Speaker 4: There, I got King m J says Frank doesn't need
- 13:05Speaker 4: to be a refresh page. He saying, could you think
- 13:07Speaker 4: you know already got a little tea.
- 13:12Speaker 7: I think it's it's Blake Baker for me, like as
- 13:14Speaker 7: far as the refresh page on this one, because if
- 13:16Speaker 7: he that's the he's the keystone to everything.
- 13:19Speaker 4: Yeah, Blake, Blake did enjoy our our our segment, Okay,
- 13:23Speaker 4: good telling tu Lane that there's no way they should
- 13:25Speaker 4: hire him. Should He's a bad football coach. He cannot
- 13:28Speaker 4: connect with the youth of today. Schemes outdated. It was
- 13:33Speaker 4: Brian Kelly's defense. Doesn't look good in his uniform. You know,
- 13:37Speaker 4: what'd you say? Wearing the cleats was trying to upstage,
- 13:39Speaker 4: play up.
- 13:41Speaker 7: You don't want a guy he doesn't even wear sleeves
- 13:44Speaker 7: on a sweatshirt.
- 13:45Speaker 5: I don't need that.
- 13:46Speaker 7: It's ridiculous.
- 13:46Speaker 5: He needs to stay where.
- 13:47Speaker 6: He's a gonna wear a tank top. Why we're a sweatshirt?
- 13:50Speaker 7: Yeah, right, Yeah, he just needs to stay where he's at.
- 13:54Speaker 7: You know, he doesn't need to try.
- 13:55Speaker 6: To let him hold us back.
- 13:57Speaker 7: He likes listen to this, look at listen to this.
- 13:59Speaker 7: And he was Hucks flag football coach in the spring, Yeah,
- 14:03Speaker 7: Baker was. He's the head football coach for our I
- 14:06Speaker 7: don't know ten U or nine U flag football team distracted.
- 14:10Speaker 7: We went five hundred.
- 14:11Speaker 5: Mmm.
- 14:12Speaker 7: That's not good man.
- 14:13Speaker 8: And that's like, that's like his head coaching resume right there.
- 14:16Speaker 7: That's what I'm saying. He had to he had to
- 14:19Speaker 7: miss a game. He had to miss a game to
- 14:22Speaker 7: go to a coaches meeting, and so he brought in
- 14:24Speaker 7: with Weeks and nuss Meyer and harl Perkins the coach
- 14:27Speaker 7: the game. We got blown out. Wow, he doesn't even
- 14:30Speaker 7: know how to hire good talent around him. Yeah, I
- 14:32Speaker 7: think he needs to stay put.
- 14:33Speaker 8: Yeah, so they say, you're only as good as the
- 14:35Speaker 8: assistant you hire.
- 14:37Speaker 7: That's what I'm saying. I would stay so far away
- 14:39Speaker 7: from him. To Lane and Memphis, Yeah, go South, major
- 14:46Speaker 7: poodle energy. Yeah, oh yeah, we're.
- 14:52Speaker 5: Just kid blatant to leave.
- 14:55Speaker 7: Although you can like doodle anything these days. Anything.
- 15:00Speaker 4: And also Cory Rammon Man like that is major, major, major,
- 15:06Speaker 4: because like some like some of the times, like when
- 15:09Speaker 4: you have this conversation it's about like off the field
- 15:11Speaker 4: and what they can do and recruiting, and I get
- 15:13Speaker 4: that it has to be a portion, but Corazy lead
- 15:17Speaker 4: it both recruiting and the teaching part of it. That's
- 15:21Speaker 4: a rare situation. It might be you might think that
- 15:24Speaker 4: it happens everywhere. It just doesn't a lot of times.
- 15:27Speaker 4: On the staff, there's ninety nine percent this guy's really
- 15:31Speaker 4: good on the field, this guy's good off the field,
- 15:33Speaker 4: and you kind of you pair your coaching staff with
- 15:36Speaker 4: a little bit of everything. Right, corazy elite at both
- 15:40Speaker 4: whatever you gotta do, whatever you have to do. Got
- 15:45Speaker 4: keep that man in the building. All right, we are
- 15:47Speaker 4: late for a break. We'll take that break, Chef Michael Johnson.
- 15:50Speaker 4: When we come back to answer your Munchie questions.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Off the Bench left two thousand and seven Champs Purple
- 16:09Speaker 1: and Gold to the core. This is Off the Bench
- 16:12Speaker 1: with Hester and Flynn Matton Rougees go to for all
- 16:16Speaker 1: things Louisiana sports time.
- 16:25Speaker 6: You let me call you.
- 16:28Speaker 4: All right, welcome back here O TV here live from
- 16:31Speaker 4: the Raisin Kines studio. Before we get to our guy,
- 16:33Speaker 4: Chef Michael Johnson, I'm going to remind you a by

- 16:46Speaker 4: And if you want to get back to Matthew feeling
- 16:48Speaker 4: like your youth will sell, where should you go?
- 16:50Speaker 7: H Yeah, you go to rejuven me. Uh, you gotta
- 16:52Speaker 7: check me out rejuven me medical dot com as well,

- 17:01Speaker 7: see what they can.
- 17:02Speaker 5: Do for you.
- 17:02Speaker 7: See what's going on with that body? Why you got
- 17:04Speaker 7: less energy, less drive, less libido, all that good stuff.
- 17:11Speaker 5: Yet the last for juven I'll give you more.
- 17:15Speaker 7: Every single day, just with the top in the state
- 17:18Speaker 7: for you know, ten years. Is that big deal? That's
- 17:21Speaker 7: not a big deal. It feels like it. Locations all
- 17:23Speaker 7: over the state. God, check them out. Give me a
- 17:24Speaker 7: call a day.
- 17:25Speaker 5: All right, let's get to your Monkey questions.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Get ready to tantalize your taste buds and leave this
- 17:31Speaker 1: segment hungry. This is Monkey's with executive chef Michael Johnson.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Let's eat chef.
- 17:38Speaker 5: What's going on? How we doing?
- 17:39Speaker 10: Brother good?
- 17:41Speaker 5: How are you guys doing fantastic?
- 17:43Speaker 4: Did you stay warm during the game? I saw you
- 17:45Speaker 4: before and after the Oklahoma game. I didn't see you
- 17:48Speaker 4: obviously during the game. I was calling the game and
- 17:50Speaker 4: you were probably getting things ready. Were you able to
- 17:53Speaker 4: find some warm shelter.
- 17:54Speaker 5: There, sir?
- 17:55Speaker 11: I did. I didn't do too bad.
- 17:56Speaker 10: You know.
- 17:56Speaker 11: I have a little bit of a polar bear in me,
- 17:58Speaker 11: and I have a little bit of I have a
- 18:00Speaker 11: little bit of padding as well, so I stayed Warland
- 18:03Speaker 11: you know, Jake, I kind of apologize to you. About
- 18:05Speaker 11: ten minutes after I was in Oklahoma City long enough
- 18:09Speaker 11: that I actually did an advanced team meet at the building,
- 18:13Speaker 11: and after you asked me where the press box was,
- 18:16Speaker 11: about ten minutes later, I realized that they had shown
- 18:18Speaker 11: me to the press box, and I'd been there for
- 18:20Speaker 11: so long that I had forgotten where.
- 18:23Speaker 5: Oh hey, okay, hey.
- 18:24Speaker 4: One thing that you can literally guarantee in any SEC
- 18:29Speaker 4: stadium that I go to, and I've been to them all. Now,
- 18:32Speaker 4: if you ask anybody where is the press box? There's
- 18:36Speaker 4: not a swinging soul that can tell you how to
- 18:39Speaker 4: get to the press box elevator. I am number one
- 18:42Speaker 4: time chef asked anybody and said, hey, can you show
- 18:45Speaker 4: me where the press elevator is? Not one person's ever said, yeah,
- 18:47Speaker 4: it's right there. You go up, you go past two
- 18:50Speaker 4: of you know these flights of stairs, you take a left.
- 18:53Speaker 11: Never ever ever so alone in that kind of like
- 18:56Speaker 11: a baby pigeon. We know it exists, but we've never
- 18:58Speaker 11: been there.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Right, yes, and Oklahoma hasn't touched that press box since
- 19:02Speaker 4: Barry Switcher was the coach.
- 19:03Speaker 5: I can promise you that.
- 19:05Speaker 11: I remember that because I've been in. I was in,
- 19:08Speaker 11: I was in the I took a picture from the
- 19:09Speaker 11: press box. Yeah, I know what it looks like. Yeah, sorry, Jake.
- 19:16Speaker 5: Oh hey, all good, all good.
- 19:18Speaker 4: Yeah, you had five guys waiting on me when I
- 19:21Speaker 4: was done, and so you're more than made up for
- 19:23Speaker 4: That was incredible, all right, chef.
- 19:26Speaker 5: It is the holiday season.
- 19:28Speaker 4: You got Christmas, you got New Year's we just finished
- 19:30Speaker 4: up with Thanksgiving. Any holiday traditions, that's our first munchies questions.
- 19:34Speaker 4: They want to know maybe your favorite holiday tradition as
- 19:37Speaker 4: you get ready for the holiday season.
- 19:39Speaker 11: You know, it's so weird because I think that probably
- 19:42Speaker 11: everybody else but chefs have pretty solid significant holiday traditions.
- 19:46Speaker 11: And I've been a chef for so long, you know,
- 19:48Speaker 11: like in the football world, you know, like we're constantly
- 19:52Speaker 11: playing around Christmas, and in the restaurant world, you know,
- 19:56Speaker 11: like when I was in a restaurant, those were the
- 19:58Speaker 11: busiest times of our years, so, you know, developing developing
- 20:02Speaker 11: any kind of tradition around that was more like spending
- 20:05Speaker 11: time with friends and and and having moments with people
- 20:09Speaker 11: that were outside of your you know, direct family ring
- 20:12Speaker 11: because you didn't have time to go home you know,
- 20:14Speaker 11: and so we I think if there was a tradition
- 20:17Speaker 11: to be had, you know, it was like a chef's
- 20:19Speaker 11: giving or a or a Chris a chefs chefs mist
- 20:23Speaker 11: where you know, like we got a team of chefs
- 20:25Speaker 11: around and we we just went straight bougie, you know,
- 20:28Speaker 11: like really really bougie foods and charcuterie trays and cla
- 20:32Speaker 11: bras and stuff like that, and you know it's it's
- 20:36Speaker 11: not your it's not your typical response.
- 20:39Speaker 7: Well, chef, like to that point, if you were going
- 20:42Speaker 7: like super bougie, like what's your what's a go to
- 20:45Speaker 7: thing you do? Is it like one of these Michelin
- 20:47Speaker 7: type plates where it's like two bites and it's done.
- 20:51Speaker 11: You know, it's it's more like high end pork fat,
- 20:55Speaker 11: you know, like uh like a pecan pecan fed or
- 21:01Speaker 11: or I don't know, you know, there was and I've
- 21:03Speaker 11: told you guys about this before that you know, like
- 21:06Speaker 11: I'd like to take a prime rib and laid all
- 21:08Speaker 11: the pork neck fat off of a a Barrico pig.
- 21:13Speaker 11: So an a Barco pig is raised like on one acre.
- 21:16Speaker 11: It has its entire acre to itself that has walled
- 21:19Speaker 11: out of the contry that beats off of the entirety
- 21:21Speaker 11: of its life. It's very you know, cushy. It's a
- 21:24Speaker 11: bougie little pig. And and the pork, the bat on,
- 21:29Speaker 11: it is extraordinary. It's almost sweet, right, And so we
- 21:33Speaker 11: I use that to to uh baste my prime rib,
- 21:38Speaker 11: to crisp up the skin and make it nice on
- 21:40Speaker 11: the outside. And and you know it's like crispy on
- 21:43Speaker 11: the outside and just soften and like red throughout, beautiful man.
- 21:48Speaker 11: And so as the executive chef, I always took the
- 21:51Speaker 11: main course of the meat. But you know, like we
- 21:54Speaker 11: would have all kinds of cured meats coming in for
- 21:56Speaker 11: you know, like one of my best friends who was
- 22:00Speaker 11: my executive sous chef, he would have all kinds of
- 22:03Speaker 11: imported you know, cheeses and meats and cured meats and
- 22:07Speaker 11: stuff like that. And he was Italian, so he always
- 22:09Speaker 11: made this dish, this dish a matrashana and it's it's man,
- 22:16Speaker 11: I'm salivating thinking about it, man a matra shana.
- 22:21Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 22:22Speaker 11: So it's uh, it's you take guancial which is like
- 22:26Speaker 11: a type of the yeah, and and render that down
- 22:28Speaker 11: and then you sweat your vegetables into it. It's a
- 22:30Speaker 11: tomato sauce, but it's got this it's got this rich
- 22:34Speaker 11: kind of it's so GUANCIAI is almost like bacon, but
- 22:36Speaker 11: it's it comes from the jaw of the pig, and
- 22:39Speaker 11: it's it's got meat and fat in it. And so
- 22:41Speaker 11: you render it down until it gets crisp. But the
- 22:44Speaker 11: fat you swept down your your onions and meerplaw and
- 22:47Speaker 11: and then you make your tomato sauce from that. And
- 22:50Speaker 11: uh a matrashana is one of the most beautiful dishes
- 22:54Speaker 11: that the Italian's ever created.
- 22:55Speaker 7: If you asked me, sounds it sounds unbelievable. I don't
- 22:59Speaker 7: know how to pronounce. I'll never remember those words, but
- 23:02Speaker 7: it sounds incredible. So chef. So this is what's what's
- 23:06Speaker 7: super relevant right now. Of course, yesterday started the national
- 23:10Speaker 7: signing Day for high school kids. I would assume that
- 23:14Speaker 7: the dining hall and what you bring to the table
- 23:17Speaker 7: and your team brings a table, is that probably a
- 23:18Speaker 7: pretty big selling point for a lot of these kids
- 23:21Speaker 7: coming out, Like what is your role? I'm assuming they
- 23:24Speaker 7: bring the recruits into the dining hall, they talk, you
- 23:27Speaker 7: talk about nutrition and like maybe make them an Amatrishana
- 23:31Speaker 7: as well. I don't know, you make them something special.
- 23:34Speaker 11: I recruit for every sport that else you has to
- 23:36Speaker 11: be honest with you, brother, it definitely is a recruiting
- 23:39Speaker 11: tool of football, not the sole sport of it, you know,
- 23:41Speaker 11: like yes, football, but also baseball, basketball, women's basketball, soccer,
- 23:45Speaker 11: volleyball beats volleyball. I don't, I can't. There's not a
- 23:49Speaker 11: sport that hasn't had me speak to their teams that
- 23:52Speaker 11: you know, Like I think we had not only signing
- 23:55Speaker 11: day yesterday, but we had baseball recruits and soccer recruits
- 23:58Speaker 11: and track fruits in here yesterday. We had four hundred
- 24:01Speaker 11: and twenty five people easier at lunch yesterday. It was
- 24:05Speaker 11: it was a really that's probably the largest number I've
- 24:08Speaker 11: seen at lunch since I've been at LSU. You know,
- 24:10Speaker 11: like they just continue to get larger and larger, and
- 24:15Speaker 11: you know, of course it just I hopefully it speaks
- 24:18Speaker 11: to the quality of the food and the experience that
- 24:21Speaker 11: you have in the nutrition center. And it's interesting because
- 24:24Speaker 11: the kids seem a little less interested in it than
- 24:27Speaker 11: the parents do, but the parents are are partially decision
- 24:30Speaker 11: makers too, write and there's influence in the in the
- 24:33Speaker 11: athlete as well, and not only that, most of you,
- 24:37Speaker 11: Matt too. You know, like as a parent, you'll understand
- 24:40Speaker 11: that you're putting your faith into and to me, you know,
- 24:43Speaker 11: to make sure that your child is getting in getting fed.
- 24:47Speaker 11: And you know, like so I have to speak to that,
- 24:48Speaker 11: you know, like I have to you know, set their
- 24:52Speaker 11: get their rest their assurances that you know, I'm a father,
- 24:56Speaker 11: I have children that one of them goes to LSU
- 24:58Speaker 11: and and I'm going to take your child and make
- 25:01Speaker 11: sure that they get fed well while they're here. And
- 25:02Speaker 11: here's how we do it. It's a it's a genuine
- 25:05Speaker 11: conversation about what food does for the human body as
- 25:08Speaker 11: well as performance nutrition and a greater depth. So it's
- 25:12Speaker 11: not just me though, I Mean there's dieticians, there's coaches there.
- 25:15Speaker 11: So it's a process.
- 25:17Speaker 10: Man.
- 25:19Speaker 4: Hashtag munchies. What is uh, let's go Actually, Devin snow
- 25:23Speaker 4: As wants to go with this one. Hashtag munchies. What
- 25:25Speaker 4: was the first real thing you remember cooking growing up?
- 25:28Speaker 4: And do you still make it?
- 25:30Speaker 11: That's a good question, man, I don't know, you know,
- 25:33Speaker 11: I remember, I don't know that I was cooking it,
- 25:38Speaker 11: but when I was a kid, it's and it's not healthy.
- 25:39Speaker 11: I wouldn't just doing this, But I remember making sugar
- 25:41Speaker 11: sandwiches when I was a kid, you know, like I'd
- 25:44Speaker 11: take white bread and poor, poor, poor refined white sugar
- 25:47Speaker 11: into it and eat it for a little pick me up.
- 25:49Speaker 11: And that was performance and nutrition was uh you know,
- 25:54Speaker 11: I think I think my first job cooking was God,
- 25:59Speaker 11: I don't even want to tell you, to be honest
- 26:00Speaker 11: with you, man, I worked at Taco Bell when I
- 26:03Speaker 11: was like fifteen years old, and and uh, you know
- 26:05Speaker 11: that that built some structure in life for sure, bro,
- 26:08Speaker 11: because you know, you work at a restaurant like that
- 26:10Speaker 11: and then it's uh yeah, it'll it'll, it'll set you straight.
- 26:14Speaker 11: So I imagine, you know, it was something, you know,
- 26:17Speaker 11: making tacos. My parents often did that. My mom cooked
- 26:21Speaker 11: a lot of pasta, so you know, like I was
- 26:23Speaker 11: constantly I cooked a lot of pasta at home. But
- 26:27Speaker 11: the singular, the dish, the only thing that comes to mind,
- 26:30Speaker 11: like making it. I remember those little sugar sandwiches for
- 26:33Speaker 11: some reason, I don't know.
- 26:36Speaker 4: Hey, Chef, just letting you know how an LSU coach
- 26:39Speaker 4: text me during this segment, said Chef Kills it with
- 26:41Speaker 4: our international recruits.
- 26:43Speaker 5: So let's go.
- 26:44Speaker 7: Chef, I wanted to sign like we got pentagons, not
- 26:48Speaker 7: not only the ones that are here from are great country,
- 26:53Speaker 7: but abroad as well.
- 26:54Speaker 11: Yeah, chef, well to the coach, thank you for the recognition.
- 26:58Speaker 11: I appreciate that.
- 26:59Speaker 5: Yeah, chef, we love you. We thank you.
- 27:02Speaker 4: And uh very soon, Matt and now are going to
- 27:04Speaker 4: come crash the the cafeteria there and come the.
- 27:07Speaker 7: Corner and some of the people eight yesterday and yeah
- 27:11Speaker 7: more to that.
- 27:11Speaker 11: Yeah to please just that too, give me two all right, all.
- 27:17Speaker 4: Right, man, and don't worry. Alandra and Tato are coming
- 27:21Speaker 4: with us. So it's four plates.
- 27:23Speaker 7: Unless you, you know, want to make a share, then
- 27:25Speaker 7: we'll just kick Matt out of here and m just
- 27:27Speaker 7: share a place like I've never heard of that word.
- 27:30Speaker 7: I've been to Italy. Yeah, I like to think that
- 27:33Speaker 7: he had like Italian food, you can't hide it so traveled. Yeah,
- 27:39Speaker 7: gonna check it out.
- 27:40Speaker 5: All right, we'll take a break when we come back.
- 27:43Speaker 4: Matt McMahon, head basketball coach for l s U Fighting
- 27:45Speaker 4: Tigers right here on o TV. Off the bench are
- 27:49Speaker 4: good to Central Plumbing dot Org. Not only in Central
- 27:51Speaker 4: of course, in the entire greater Baton Rouge area. They're
- 27:53Speaker 4: going to be able to help you out and help
- 27:55Speaker 4: you out whenever the situation comes up.
- 27:58Speaker 5: If you have an emergency, it is a twenty four.
- 28:01Speaker 4: To seven three sixty five weekend holiday game day number
- 28:03Speaker 4: at two two five nine two five eighty five fifty two.
- 28:07Speaker 4: They can also upgrade you if you're looking to upgrade
- 28:09Speaker 4: with a remodel at your home or business.
- 28:11Speaker 5: If you're looking to go tankless with a tankless hot.
- 28:14Speaker 4: Water heater and never run out of hot water ever again,
- 28:17Speaker 4: they can install that as well.
- 28:18Speaker 5: Go to Central Plumbing.
- 28:19Speaker 7: Dot or Yeah. I think that tankless water heater is
- 28:21Speaker 7: probably one of the greatest tools ever invented for a home,
- 28:24Speaker 7: especially if you have kids and you got to do
- 28:25Speaker 7: all these dishes you gotta do, laundry, people taking paths
- 28:28Speaker 7: and showers at night. I mean it is like, never
- 28:31Speaker 7: run out of hot water. You can take three hour
- 28:32Speaker 7: shower if you want. But Central Plumber, the experts, the
- 28:35Speaker 7: Payin family's been doing it along long time here in
- 28:38Speaker 7: Baton Rouge. So if you got anything it's a residential situation,
- 28:42Speaker 7: if it's an issue, or maybe it's just a new
- 28:43Speaker 7: build or it's a commercial situation. Whatever. They are the experts,
- 28:46Speaker 7: they know exactly what to do in any situation. Central Plumbing,
- 28:49Speaker 7: Dot or.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Tigers turn Talkers. This is off the bench.
- 29:10Speaker 4: All right, Welcome back in OTV here live from the
- 29:12Speaker 4: Raizy Caines Studio. Very very excited for our next guests.
- 29:16Speaker 4: After a big win last night in overtime in Boston,
- 29:21Speaker 4: l S you had basketball coach Matt McMahon joins the show.
- 29:23Speaker 5: Coach, we appreciate the time.
- 29:26Speaker 4: I know that you got in super late, obviously traveling
- 29:29Speaker 4: all the way up from Boston down to the Boots,
- 29:31Speaker 4: So we appreciate the time.
- 29:32Speaker 5: This morning.
- 29:33Speaker 10: Hey, thanks for having me and actually ended up being
- 29:36Speaker 10: we got in early, got in about seven thirty this
- 29:38Speaker 10: morning because of some of the delays. But happy to
- 29:42Speaker 10: be back safely, and you know how those delayed. It's
- 29:46Speaker 10: a lot better after a win than after a miserable loss.
- 29:49Speaker 10: So thankful we found a way last night.
- 29:52Speaker 5: Oh, there's no question.
- 29:53Speaker 4: I mean, there's nothing better, coach than a flight home
- 29:57Speaker 4: after a big win. Now, and you're right like, if
- 29:59Speaker 4: you lose, it's it's somber and it's kind of quiet.
- 30:02Speaker 4: But I'll take some of those for the ones when
- 30:05Speaker 4: you return and you get this big win and you're in,
- 30:09Speaker 4: you know, an overtime situation. In the first half, you dominate.
- 30:12Speaker 4: The second half, Boston College is shooting it really well,
- 30:14Speaker 4: but you find a way, coach, you find a way
- 30:17Speaker 4: to force overtime. And once that happened, and I thought
- 30:19Speaker 4: the broadcast did a really nice job, John Crispin, my
- 30:22Speaker 4: guy's like, uh oh, this is this is trouble for
- 30:25Speaker 4: Boston College because coach, you could see that switch that
- 30:28Speaker 4: y'all flipped there right at the end of the second
- 30:31Speaker 4: half to force overtime, and you weren't going to be
- 30:33Speaker 4: denied in that game.
- 30:35Speaker 10: I appreciate it, man. That was that was the first adversity,
- 30:39Speaker 10: real true adversity we faced this year. So I was
- 30:42Speaker 10: proud of our players response. I don't know if we
- 30:44Speaker 10: could have shot at any worse than the second half,
- 30:48Speaker 10: you know, twenty six percent. We were nine at thirty four. Yeah,
- 30:51Speaker 10: it looks like you and me out there playing in
- 30:53Speaker 10: an over reck league game.
- 30:56Speaker 3: We just couldn't make anything, but guys hung in there.
- 30:59Speaker 3: We got three stuffs in a row in the last minute.
- 31:01Speaker 3: DJ Thomas got those two big baskets we get it
- 31:05Speaker 3: to overtime, and then after the horrific shooting, we didn't
- 31:09Speaker 3: miss a single shot in overtime.
- 31:10Speaker 10: We were one hundred percent from the floor and one
- 31:12Speaker 10: hundred from the pre draw line. And I just thought
- 31:15Speaker 10: our guys played with a lot of resiliency there when
- 31:19Speaker 10: we needed it the most. And you know, winning on
- 31:21Speaker 10: the road, when you go three to nineteen from three,
- 31:24Speaker 10: it's really difficult to do. So so tremidous treadit our
- 31:28Speaker 10: rebounding in our defense.
- 31:29Speaker 7: Yeah, coach, you said it, And I think no matter
- 31:33Speaker 7: what the sport is, I think any coach wants his
- 31:36Speaker 7: team to face adversity and to see how they react
- 31:39Speaker 7: from especially early in a season like this. And we
- 31:41Speaker 7: saw how your team was able to react. And my
- 31:45Speaker 7: question was like what do you get from that response?
- 31:48Speaker 7: And like do you finally like do you feel like
- 31:50Speaker 7: you finally have something with this team that you've been
- 31:52Speaker 7: looking for since you've been here.
- 31:54Speaker 10: Yes, I love our team. We get some winners. I
- 31:57Speaker 10: mean DJ Thomas, he's as good a point guard as
- 32:01Speaker 10: there is out there in college basketball. I mean he's
- 32:04Speaker 10: just electric, he's a winner. He's toughest nails, you know,
- 32:10Speaker 10: just like with a football, you know, on your guys side,
- 32:13Speaker 10: you know, and I know, we just got the most
- 32:15Speaker 10: creative coordinator offensive schemer in the country coming to Baton Rouge.
- 32:22Speaker 10: We're trying to do the same thing with DJ. We
- 32:24Speaker 10: want to put him in different positions to manipulate the
- 32:28Speaker 10: spacing on the floor so we can take care of it,
- 32:31Speaker 10: take advantage of his genius on the floor. We saw
- 32:34Speaker 10: last night. I mean, he's six foot, one hundred and
- 32:36Speaker 10: eighty pounds and we have him playing down in the
- 32:38Speaker 10: post because he's really skilled down there. He had we
- 32:42Speaker 10: charted twenty possessions. He got two feet into the paint
- 32:47Speaker 10: with the basketball and he created sixteen assists opportunities for
- 32:52Speaker 10: our team. We converted seven of those, got fouled twice.
- 32:57Speaker 10: But he's just such a winner. And then for the
- 32:59Speaker 10: first we have a legitimate sec side at every position
- 33:04Speaker 10: in our physicality. You know, the painted area for us
- 33:08Speaker 10: is like the line of scrimmage and the trenches for you.
- 33:11Speaker 10: And we can finally compete in there. And you know,
- 33:15Speaker 10: in Woco and mark elm Sutton and those guys have
- 33:18Speaker 10: been awesome so far here early in the.
- 33:20Speaker 4: Season, coach, I thought my favorite play from DJ and
- 33:24Speaker 4: you're right, man, it is so good to have a finisher,
- 33:26Speaker 4: closer and somebody that you can give the basketball too.
- 33:28Speaker 4: And it's not only when he's scoring. I thought the
- 33:30Speaker 4: play of the night last night was he's under the basket.
- 33:33Speaker 4: A lot of people just kind of pick up their
- 33:34Speaker 4: dribble at that point, but he continues to try to
- 33:37Speaker 4: make a play and he dishes it to McKinnon there
- 33:40Speaker 4: and he hits the big three.
- 33:41Speaker 5: I thought that was maybe the play of the game.
- 33:43Speaker 5: He didn't give up on it.
- 33:44Speaker 4: He didn't just stop his dribble and try to find
- 33:46Speaker 4: somewhere to make a pass. He had a plan and
- 33:48Speaker 4: he attacked and then he dishes it, like you said,
- 33:50Speaker 4: and you hit down a big three.
- 33:52Speaker 10: Oh very well said. It was pretty cool to see
- 33:56Speaker 10: a three actually go in to your point his patients there.
- 34:02Speaker 10: He has a lead court vision and he's very unselfish,
- 34:07Speaker 10: willing passer. I know, for a guy like me who
- 34:11Speaker 10: needs all the help I can get getting open for shots,
- 34:15Speaker 10: I'd love to play with a guy like DJ Thomas
- 34:18Speaker 10: because he just makes everyone around him better. And you know,
- 34:22Speaker 10: on the night, he didn't finish some early I think
- 34:25Speaker 10: at one point in the game he was five to
- 34:27Speaker 10: seventeen from the floor, but he goes three for his
- 34:31Speaker 10: last four, gets to the free throw line, goes seven
- 34:34Speaker 10: of eight there, and it just finds a way to
- 34:36Speaker 10: help us win the team.
- 34:38Speaker 7: Yeah, coach here, that's something that nobody wants to have
- 34:41Speaker 7: to talk about here and do. But just tell us
- 34:45Speaker 7: the injury to Jalen Reid, tell us about that's impacted
- 34:49Speaker 7: and just how he like emotionally is dealing with with
- 34:51Speaker 7: this whole situation.
- 34:53Speaker 10: He's doing better with it than I am. I am
- 34:58Speaker 10: just crushed. It is just devash dating. You know, guys,
- 35:02Speaker 10: when he got hurt last year, we released it as
- 35:05Speaker 10: an abl injury. It was a lot more than an AHL.
- 35:07Speaker 10: It was a career threatening deal and he just was
- 35:12Speaker 10: unbelievable in his workout. They can get back and after
- 35:16Speaker 10: an eleven month rehab, he's coming in. He's averaging eleven
- 35:20Speaker 10: point six rebounds a game. He's gradually working his way
- 35:24Speaker 10: back into form. And now to have the Achilles injury
- 35:27Speaker 10: on his other foot or other leg, I should say,
- 35:30Speaker 10: it's just heartbreaking, but you know, he's doing really well.
- 35:36Speaker 10: He's a great, great young man. I just just heartbroken
- 35:40Speaker 10: for him. But he'll come back strong from it, and
- 35:44Speaker 10: I think he's in a really, really good place. And
- 35:47Speaker 10: that's the fun part about it for me that I've
- 35:50Speaker 10: really missed in this new era. I mean, this is
- 35:52Speaker 10: my fourth year getting to coach him. I've got to
- 35:54Speaker 10: watch him grow as a player on and off the court,
- 35:58Speaker 10: and he's just really you know, as I said in
- 36:00Speaker 10: my statement the other day, it just represents everything that's
- 36:03Speaker 10: great about college athlet So I'm excited to watch his
- 36:06Speaker 10: journey back to the court over the next nine months.
- 36:09Speaker 4: Yeah, he'll definitely fight his way back like he did before.
- 36:12Speaker 4: Like you said, I mean, somebody that's not going to
- 36:14Speaker 4: be denied catching up with else you had basketball coach
- 36:17Speaker 4: Matt McMahon here on OTB coach. Next time out, you're
- 36:21Speaker 4: going to play a really good Texas Tech Red Raider
- 36:23Speaker 4: team that's going to be in Fort Worth coming up
- 36:26Speaker 4: here on December the seventh. I know you just got
- 36:30Speaker 4: in from your last game. Obviously with some delays there,
- 36:33Speaker 4: have you had a chance to watch his Texas Tech
- 36:36Speaker 4: basketball team yet.
- 36:37Speaker 10: Yeah, huge opportunity for us. The legitimate top twenty team
- 36:40Speaker 10: in the country. JT. Toppins the All Americans returning All
- 36:45Speaker 10: American for them, averaging twenty two and eleven. Just a
- 36:49Speaker 10: monster around the goal, really skilled lefty, and then they
- 36:53Speaker 10: have a really good point guard, one of the top
- 36:56Speaker 10: point guards in the country, Christian Anderson. Actually represented Germany
- 37:01Speaker 10: in the Under twenty World Cup this summer and played
- 37:04Speaker 10: extremely well. So it'll be a great test for us.
- 37:09Speaker 10: But it's a great opportunity to play a quad one
- 37:11Speaker 10: game on a neutral floor. And you know, see see
- 37:14Speaker 10: where we're staying here at this point in the season
- 37:17Speaker 10: with the momentum we've been able to build here early.
- 37:21Speaker 10: Now go to Texas Tech and then another top forty
- 37:24Speaker 10: team in SMU the following Saturday in New Orleans. These
- 37:28Speaker 10: are opportunities we got to take advantage of.
- 37:31Speaker 7: Hey, Couch and we're we are extremely excited to watch
- 37:34Speaker 7: watch NFL, watch your team continue to play. And because
- 37:37Speaker 7: this is the first time that I've had the opportunity
- 37:38Speaker 7: to meet and speak with you, So I just want
- 37:40Speaker 7: to tell you it's a pleasure, it's an honor and
- 37:42Speaker 7: great speaking with you. And you got to know around
- 37:45Speaker 7: here I'm the guy that asked a hard hitting question,
- 37:47Speaker 7: So I'm about to ask you something. Man, You're definitely
- 37:50Speaker 7: not prep for In your opinion, In your opinion, what
- 37:55Speaker 7: is the greatest basketball movie ever made?
- 38:00Speaker 10: Tuck, There's no real discussion there, Jimmy chip Wood, the
- 38:09Speaker 10: old picket Fence. Don't get caught watching the paint dry
- 38:12Speaker 10: alcoholic Dennis Opera in there. I mean, you can't beat it.
- 38:16Speaker 4: There's nothing like it.
- 38:18Speaker 10: It would be the competition. I don't even know.
- 38:21Speaker 4: I'm sitting there. I'm trying to wonder too. I mean,
- 38:23Speaker 4: I love Blue Chips. Blue Chips was was great. Good,
- 38:26Speaker 4: that's good, great, Chrich Carter, which Carter's going.
- 38:30Speaker 10: I was thinking the Hoosiers. The music in my head
- 38:33Speaker 10: now and I'll be there all day was great. I
- 38:37Speaker 10: might watch it tonight.
- 38:38Speaker 7: When I was when I was a child, I probably
- 38:39Speaker 7: watched the Air up there probably fifty times.
- 38:42Speaker 5: Bacon was good. I can tell you.
- 38:46Speaker 4: My former quarterback coach Philip Rivers, like he tried to
- 38:49Speaker 4: like live his life like it was Hoosiers, Like everything
- 38:51Speaker 4: he did, like he had a Hoosiers movie quote for it.
- 38:57Speaker 4: We all, yeah, Simon first, Yeah, coach, you're the man again.
- 39:03Speaker 5: I know you got in super late, but congrats on
- 39:05Speaker 5: the win. It was.
- 39:07Speaker 4: It was a lot of fun to watch your team
- 39:08Speaker 4: not be denied even when it wasn't going y'alls way
- 39:10Speaker 4: in the second half, again they found a way. And
- 39:12Speaker 4: once they found a way, that game was over and
- 39:15Speaker 4: certainly closed it out. Looking forward to the matchup with
- 39:18Speaker 4: Texas Tech coming up here in a couple of days
- 39:19Speaker 4: in Fort Worth.
- 39:20Speaker 5: And we appreciate it.
- 39:21Speaker 10: Awesome, Thanks so much for having me on. I appreciate it.
- 39:24Speaker 10: Look forward to talking here.
- 39:26Speaker 4: Absolutely. Coach Matt McMahon good enough to join us. They
- 39:28Speaker 4: had basketball coach for your l s U Fighting Tigers.
- 39:34Speaker 4: Was that one movie where he said, who's yours quick?
- 39:37Speaker 7: Which is the answer? Yeah? What's that one movie where
- 39:39Speaker 7: the guy passes away and like his ghost sixth man?
- 39:43Speaker 7: Sixth man? Yes, good one.
- 39:45Speaker 6: They all even love in basketball.
- 39:49Speaker 8: I've always like I put it, I've always liked Glory Road.
- 39:52Speaker 5: Well, he got game space.

- 40:03Speaker 6: Forgetting like the most.
- 40:04Speaker 4: Yeah, heard a great story. Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes
- 40:11Speaker 4: had a bet that he couldn't dunk, and uh they
- 40:15Speaker 4: lowered the rim and Wesley didn't know about it, and
- 40:17Speaker 4: he stuffed it and he took the money cheating, ain't trying,

- 43:47Speaker 7: It's free and big shout out to edding a car
- 43:50Speaker 7: by the way fifteen the Division one Division one signs yesterday.
- 43:57Speaker 7: So I had seven in my class in high school.
- 43:59Speaker 7: That's like yeah, right, or nine something like that, and
- 44:03Speaker 7: I thought that was.
- 44:03Speaker 5: Like it legit. Fifteen.
- 44:05Speaker 7: It's gonna be a tough light research, but they gotta
- 44:07Speaker 7: be one of the highest, like the most people at
- 44:11Speaker 7: a high school this year, I don't like. I think
- 44:15Speaker 7: I saw IMG had like twenty one that doesn't counts,
- 44:18Speaker 7: but my god, fifteen, they ain't listen, that's.
- 44:23Speaker 8: The premiere program in the state right now.
- 44:24Speaker 7: I mean, is it that? That's what I'm saying. Is it?
- 44:26Speaker 7: Is it the premieer? Is it the premier school in
- 44:29Speaker 7: the country. That's why I want I was trying to google.
- 44:31Speaker 7: I was trying to like there's a there's a school
- 44:33Speaker 7: in California, there's one in Georgia that they were talking about,
- 44:36Speaker 7: like had a bunch, but I don't know if any
- 44:38Speaker 7: of them besides IMG well match fifteen. I'd like to
- 44:41Speaker 7: figure out. I'd like to get that. Uh CHAGBT said,
- 44:45Speaker 7: I can't do that research. It's too much.
- 44:48Speaker 4: It's like it's a lot of high school up in
- 44:50Speaker 4: the car right now. I know in like the Max
- 44:52Speaker 4: Preps national rankings. Just as far as like their team.
- 44:56Speaker 4: They are number eight right now. If they're number eight
- 44:59Speaker 4: and what like just just in the nation, like as
- 45:02Speaker 4: a ranking, I'd like to see those other seven teams
- 45:06Speaker 4: be for Georgia's one of them. I AMG's one of them.
- 45:09Speaker 4: South Lake Carol, which you certainly know about. That's that's
- 45:12Speaker 4: one of them. Bishop Gorman, Las Vegas, Saint Francis and
- 45:16Speaker 4: Merrick Francis, and Baltimore is number two.
- 45:21Speaker 7: It would be a hard pressed to find fifteen D
- 45:22Speaker 7: one signis anywhere else.
- 45:24Speaker 4: I think then your favorite quarterback of all time play
- 45:26Speaker 4: at South Lake, Greg McRoy.
- 45:31Speaker 5: We love you, all right, Master bench did Chase Daniel
