- 0:13Hello, friends. It is Sean.
- 0:15He happy Monday to you. Here we are.
- 0:19God bless the King. King, Charles, it's his birthday
- 0:23today, but it's not really, but it's the day that we have a
- 0:26public holiday to celebrate his birthday.
- 0:28And I, for one, I'm delighted because after spending six days,
- 0:32walking through the Wilderness, the snow, the rain, the cold,
- 0:38the incredible beauty. I don't mind a couple of days to
- 0:42let my weary limbs recover. It was truly spectacular.
- 0:47And I'm so delighted to be home again.
- 0:51That is the nature of hiking. It's a wonderful experience and
- 0:54then you just so glad it's over. But our journey through Exodus
- 0:59is far from Over. We are now continuing in the
- 1:04instructions that God is giving his people on how they are to
- 1:08create a space for him to be present amongst them.
- 1:12And unfortunately, we are going to read through for the next
- 1:16three days and then on Thursday, it's all going to go horribly
- 1:19wrong when Moses doesn't come down from the mountain in time
- 1:23for the people's expectation, but we'll get to that.
- 1:26Do course, today, let us continue hearing about About
- 1:30what God is instructing his people about creating a system
- 1:34where he Are. Holy and Incredible.
- 1:37God can live with mere mortals in Exodus chapter 29.
- 1:53This is the ceremony you must follow when you consecrate Aaron
- 1:56and his sons to serve me as priests take a young bull and
- 2:01two Rams with no defects. Then using Choice wheat flour
- 2:05and no yeast make loaves of bread thin cakes mixed with
- 2:09olive oil and Wafers spread with oil, place them all in a single
- 2:13basket and present them at the entrance of the Tabernacle,
- 2:17along with the young bull, and the two Rams.
- 2:20Present Aaron and his sons at the entrance of the Tabernacle
- 2:24and wash them with water dress, Aaron and his Priestly garments
- 2:28the tunic, the robe worn with the ephod, the ephod itself and
- 2:32the chest piece, then wrapped the decorative, sash of the
- 2:35ephod around him, place the turban on his head and fasten
- 2:39the sacred Medallion to the turbine.
- 2:42Then anoint him by pouring the anointing oil, over his head
- 2:46next presents, his sons and dressed them in their tunics.
- 2:50Wrap the sash around the waist of Aaron and his sons and put
- 2:53their special head coverings on them.
- 2:56Then the right to the priesthood will be theirs by law forever in
- 3:01this way. You will ordain Aaron and his
- 3:03sons, bring the young bull to the entrance of the Tabernacle,
- 3:07where Aaron and his sons will lay their hands on his head,
- 3:11then Slaughter the ball in the Lord's Presence.
- 3:13At the entrance of the Tabernacle, put some of its
- 3:16Blood on the horns of the altar, with your finger and pour out
- 3:19the rest. At the base of the altar, take
- 3:22all the fat around the internal organs, the long lobe of the
- 3:25liver and the two kidneys and the fat around them and burn it
- 3:29all on the altar. Then take the rest of the ball,
- 3:33including its hide meat and dung and burn it outside the camp as
- 3:37a sin offering next Aaron. And his sons must lay their
- 3:41hands on the head of one of the Rams, then slaughtered the RAM
- 3:46and spatter. Its blood against all sides of
- 3:48the altar. Cut the Rope.
- 3:50I'm into pieces and wash off the internal organs, and the legs
- 3:54set them along the head and other pieces of the body, then
- 3:57burn the entire animal on the altar.
- 4:00This is a burnt offering to the Lord.
- 4:03It is a pleasing Aroma and a special gift presented to the
- 4:06Lord. Now, take the other RAM and have
- 4:10Aaron and his sons lay their hands on its head, then
- 4:13Slaughter it and apply some of its blood to the right ear lobes
- 4:17of Aaron. And his sons also put it on The
- 4:20thumbs of their right hands and their big toes on their right
- 4:23feet. Splatter the rest of the blood,
- 4:25against all sides of the altar. Then take some of the blood from
- 4:29the Altar and some of the anointing oil and sprinkle it
- 4:32and Aaron and his sons and on their garmin's in this way.
- 4:36They and their garmin's will be set apart as holy.
- 4:41Since this is the RAM for the ordination of Aaron and his
- 4:43sons, take the fat of the ram, including the fat of the broad
- 4:47tail, the fat around the internal organs, the long lobe
- 4:51of the liver and the two kidneys and the fat around them along
- 4:54with the right thigh. Then take one round loaf of
- 4:58bread one Thin cake mixed with olive oil and 1 wafer from the
- 5:02basket of bread without yeast. That was placed in the Lord's
- 5:05presence. Put all these in the hands of
- 5:08Aaron and his sons to be lifted up As a special offering to the
- 5:12Lord afterward, take the various breads from their hands and burn
- 5:17them on the altar along with the burnt offering.
- 5:20It is a pleasing Aroma to the Lord.
- 5:23A special gift for him, then take the breast of Aaron's
- 5:27ordination RAM and lifted up in the Lord's presence.
- 5:31As a special offering to him, then keep it as your own
- 5:35portion. Set aside the portions of the
- 5:38ordination Ram that belonged to Aaron.
- 5:40And his sons, this includes the breast and the thigh that were
- 5:43lifted up before the Lord is a special offering in the future.
- 5:47Whenever the people of Israel lift up a peace offering a
- 5:50portion of it must be set aside for Aaron and his descendants,
- 5:54this is their permanent, right? And it is a sacred offering from
- 5:58the Israelites to the Lord. Aaron sacred gammons must be
- 6:04preserved for his descendants who succeed him and they will
- 6:07wear them when they are anointed and ordained.
- 6:10The Descendant who succeeds him as high priest will wear these
- 6:14clothes for seven days as he ministers in the Tabernacle and
- 6:17the holy Place, take the RAM used in the ordination ceremony
- 6:22and boil, it's meet in a sacred place.
- 6:25Then Aaron and his sons will eat this meat along with the bread
- 6:28and the basket at the Tabernacle entrance.
- 6:32They alone may eat the meat and bread used for their
- 6:34purification in the ordination ceremony, no one else may eat
- 6:39them. For these things are set apart
- 6:42and holy if any of the ordination meat or bread remains
- 6:46until the morning, it must be burned.
- 6:49It may not be eaten for it is Holy This is how you will ordain
- 6:54Aaron and his sons to their offices.
- 6:56Just as I have commanded. You the ordination ceremony will
- 7:00go for seven days each day. You must sacrifice a young bull
- 7:04as a sin offering to purify them, making them right with the
- 7:08Lord afterward cleanse the altar by purifying it make it, holy by
- 7:13anointing it with oil purify the Altar and consecrated every day
- 7:18for seven days. After that the altar will be
- 7:23Play Holy and whatever touches it will become holy.
- 7:28These are the sacrifices, you had to offer regularly on the
- 7:31altar each day offered to Lambs that are a year old one in the
- 7:35morning, and the other in the evening.
- 7:38With one of them offered two parts of choice.
- 7:40Flour mixed with one quart of pure oil of pressed.
- 7:44Olives also offer one quart of wine as a liquid offering offer,
- 7:48the other lamb in the evening, along with the same offerings of
- 7:52flour and wine. As in the morning, it will be a
- 7:55pleasing Aroma, a special gift Presented to the Lord.
- 7:59These burnt offerings that have been made each day from
- 8:02generation, to generation offer them in the Lord's.
- 8:05Presence at the Tabernacle entrance.
- 8:08There, I will meet with you and speak with you.
- 8:11I will meet the people of Israel there in the place.
- 8:15Made Holy by my glorious presence.
- 8:19Yes, I will consecrate the Tabernacle and the Altar and I
- 8:23will consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests Then
- 8:28I will live among the people of Israel and be their God and they
- 8:32will know that I am the Lord, their God.
- 8:35I am the one who brought them out of the land of Egypt so that
- 8:39I could live among them. I am the Lord, their God.
- 8:53Father, what lengths? You went to explaining in such
- 8:58great detail, all these instructions so that they could
- 9:03create a way to create a space, holy enough for you to be, truly
- 9:09present, amongst them even just as a tiny taste of what it was
- 9:15like when you were present with humanity and Eden, And our mind
- 9:20is blowing, when we think that you, then send us your son, who
- 9:26fulfills all of this creating this perfect space, where your
- 9:31Holiness and our Brokenness can come together through Jesus.
- 9:37Thank you for Jesus. Thank you that he makes it
- 9:41possible for us to draw near to you.
- 9:45We love you. Our father, we love you.
- 9:47Our God our holy Incredible God. Who draws near to us?
- 9:54It's in your name that we pray, Jesus.
