A Fall River man, Je’avonie Dorvil, just received a life sentence for a 2022 shooting in Providence that left one man dead and another injured — a case that escalated from a simple argument into a deadly confrontation. Surveillance footage showed Dorvil firing a weapon into a car before fleeing. After a 10-day trial, he was convicted of second-degree murder and firearm discharge during a violent crime.
